FELLOW HEIRS

Minister Lisa Kane

September 20, 2024

In this teaching, Lisa Kane explores the profound truth that Gentiles, through the gospel, have become fellow heirs with Christ (Ephesians 3:6). She explains how Jesus, the Word made flesh, fulfilled God’s plan by temporarily setting Israel aside so that the good news could reach the Gentiles. Through Paul’s revelation, believers now understand the mystery hidden for ages: that we are joint heirs with Christ, empowered by grace to share in His promises and authority.

Lisa highlights that this inheritance calls us not only to salvation but also to walk in the same power Jesus demonstrated, empowered by the Holy Spirit to do even greater works. She emphasizes the importance of humility, obedience, and being rooted in love, for love is the foundation of all spiritual fruit and gifts. Drawing from John 14:12 and Paul’s testimony, she illustrates how believers are called to live boldly, ministering in unity as the body of Christ, showing God’s love in action.

The message closes with a call to abide in Christ through prayer, Scripture, and obedience, allowing His love to transform hearts and His Spirit to manifest through gifts and fruit. As fellow heirs, believers are encouraged to embrace their divine calling, walking in confidence, boldness, and love to bring salvation and transformation to the world.

Objective:

The objective of this message is to teach believers their identity and inheritance as fellow heirs with Christ, showing how the mystery revealed to Paul confirms that Gentiles are now partakers of God’s promises through Jesus. The message aims to equip listeners to walk boldly in the authority, power, and love granted to them as co-heirs, living in the dispensation of grace with full access to the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above:

Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I am recording this teaching on Friday, September 20th, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we pray that your word does not return void. We pray that your word penetrates deep within our soul in our spirit in our mind as knowledge where it manifests the anointing of your holy spirit. Thank you father god. You are precious and holy and in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Welcome. I don't know if you can hear but we've got like a thunderstorm coming over here. So you're going to hear thunder here and it is windy. So and it just came on out of nowhere. So anyways, moving on. This message is called Fellow Heirs. Very excited about this teaching. I hope that you are blessed by it. Let's go to our opening scripture here. Ephesians 3:6. That the Gentiles should be fellows and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel. So, the way I teach, in case you're new to this uh platform here, I'd like for you to notice that in the King James version, that's the scriptures I use. And the bolded words are the words in the King James version that the translators chose to translate from Hebrew or Greek into English. Well, that word that I have bolded could also mean other things. So like fellow heirs is co-air co-air joint heir together partakers is co-articipants promise is the announcement or pledge and the gospel is a good message so those are the words that could have been used and anyways um I like to add that extra words because it brings a more deeper meaning to us in our spirit. Amen. It just started pouring. Okay. So what is this? So this message is called fellow heirs. So here I want to go into the purpose of what I'm talking about. Jesus came to us as a man even though he was a spirit in the beginning. If you go back to John 1 1 through3 let's let's read that. It says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God and all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. And remember the word became flesh, which is what Jesus represented. So because that word became flesh, that's Jesus. He was there in the beginning. He was born a woman, grew up a man, died as the son of God, taking on all the sin of the world. He rose from the grave three days later, ascended to heaven just before the day of Pentecost. You can go read about that in Acts 1 and two. So what the coming of Jesus did, he did two things and and you're going to see us fellow heirs. You're going to see us as a participant in the acts of what Jesus did. You're going to see that what we can do today. So uh the coming of Jesus did two things. It put Israel on hold until the return as a nation which happened in 1948 and Jerusalem became the capital in 1967. And this is on hold or Israel's on hold until the day of the Lord takes place. That has not happened yet. Right now we are in the time of the Gentiles. So the second thing Jesus did is he brought the gospel gospel good news to the Gentiles causing us to become fellow heirs with him for those who believe. So he had to put Israel on the sidelines to accomplish this task. He did this by having them rejected. So remember this was all to the purpose of God. He did this on purpose. So to fulfill the purpose of this teaching, we're going to show you what it is to have those promises and the power that Jesus had to do the things that he did. Because if we're co-airs, if we're fellow heirs, we get to do the same thing he did. You're going to see that here in just a moment. So let's go to Ephesians. We're going to be focusing here in chapter 3. So we saw verse 6 is our opening scripture. So now we're going to read verses 2-7. If ye have heard of the dispensation or administration, stewardship, appointed order or age of the grace of God which is given to me to you word. I want to pause here and I I think it's important to address this. There's a lot of teaching out there that says dispensational teaching is not biblical. Well, I'm we are in the fullness of the Gentiles, the dispensation of grace. And you can see Paul clearly talking about that here. If you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given to me to you word. What Jesus did is he redeemed us of our sins. When he died, his pure blood landed on the mercy seat. He rose from the grave in power. And because he did that, he wiped away the sin of the world. And you get to accept that. You get to be a part of that freedom that Jesus accomplished. And to be fellows, guess what? When Jesus died, he rose from the grave. When you die, you rise from the grave. Your joint hes, fellow hes. Okay, I want you to get this and I want you to understand this. Verse three, how that by revelation and notice what he said by the way in verse two of the grace of God which is given to me given me to you word if you heard of this disposition in other words if you believe you heard it you accepted it remember there's a choice here been emphasizing the choice factor over the last couple of teachings verse three how that by revelation or disclosure or manifestation he made known unto me the mystery which is a secret as I wrote a or in few words whereby when ye read ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ. There's a secret here that Paul is going to tell us. This is very interesting. I want you to get this. This see the let's continue on. Let's read uh verse five. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men as it see the purpose of Jesus coming. There was prophecy written but the revelation of what he accomplished was not revealed in the past. So Paul is say see when Paul met Jesus on the road to Damascus. Remember Paul was Saul at that time and he was coming after the church big time. He was going because he believed in the Bible the great God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He did not believe or accept that Jesus was the son of God. So he came after the Christians, but Jesus interveneed on that road to Damascus. And when he intervened, Saul became Paul. And so for the next three years, he went into the wilderness. You see, Paul was the biggest of the Pharisees. He knew the scriptures. But in that three-year time period, he went to see the revelation of what who Jesus is as a son of God through his teachings he grew up with. And so that mystery became revelation to him. He got it. And now he because he's called to teach to the Gentiles, he wants to reveal that message to you and I. And that's what he's saying here. So which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit that and here's our opening scripture that the Gentiles should be fellow airs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel the good message. Verse seven, whereof I was made a minister which is attendant run errands according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. This is incredible the revelation that Paul is sharing here. So we are in this in between time of putting Israel on hold and before the day of the Lord comes. What we know about this time is that it is the time of the Gentiles. You and I, the the Israelites don't have sacrifices anymore. That's stopped. They didn't have a temple anymore to go into because the power of God wasn't there anymore. The veil's been ripped in two. And it was thick, too. It ripped. But they can walk into the temp. Anybody can walk into the temple now and be a part with God, have a relationship with God, be a partaker of what God and Jesus promised us. So, we're in this in between time, this pause of Israel, the dispensation of grace. And here we are, by the way, as Gentiles teaching and preaching to the world. That's our responsibility. So this mystery that Paul was given was kept from the pro prophets and anyone who lived before Jesus and it became manifested to Paul and he began to write and teach about it and not only to anyone who wanted to read it but to the Gentiles specifically. You see Paul didn't walk with the apostles or the disciples in Jesus day. He came after and yet the Lord used him to get the Gentiles. Cuz see the apostles, the disciples are all Jewish. Paul Jewish. But God said to Jesus said to Paul, "I want you to go teach to the Gentiles." So he did. So, as Paul is explaining, as we continue to read here in Ephesians chapter 3, we need to understand the knowledge, the mystery that was revealed to him, this teaching of the redemption of the blood of Jesus to the Gentiles for the sin. Because in our opening scripture, Paul clearly tells us that we're fellows of this of the same body. We're partakers of this promise that Christ gave to the Israelites and to us. And there's a power that comes with this teaching and it's a gift of the grace of God. So why do we need to know this? Because that's a very good question. Go to John 14:12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth or has faith in me, on me, the works or the toil, the labor that I do, Jesus says, shall he, that's you and me, do also, and greater or larger works than these shall he do because I go unto my father. Oh, so see, Jesus isn't here anymore. He ascended into heaven. So, he left us the Holy Spirit. And when you saw the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 1 and two, you will see the anointing and that power come forth. We have that power, the Gentiles, to minister to those and do greater things than what Jesus did. That's and it almost seems impossible, but let's remember something here. You know, Jesus, a one-man individual, he did a lot while he while he was here. If you remember the end of the last verse of John chapter of the gospel of John which is John 21:2 it tells us that there are also many other things which Jesus did the which they should be written everyone I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. So let's understand something here. When Jesus rose from the grave he invited everyone to his grace. Remember, anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13. Now, Israel rejected him as the son of God. So, they got put on pause. They will be dealt with in the seven-year time period of God's wrath. Go read Revelation and Daniel. But as Gentiles in the time of the Gentiles, we are partakers of this power, and we get to do things even greater than him because we're fellows. So, how is this done? Let's go back to Ephesians 3 and let's start in verse eight here. Unto me who am less than least of all saints. See, Paul is recognizing, listen, I didn't walk with Jesus on the earth. I'm the least of them all. And yet, he walked in power. He walked in authority. And he changed the world with his teaching to the Gentiles. Paul did magnificent things. He continued the ministry of what Jesus was doing, which is what we're called to do as fellow hes. Hope you're getting this. Is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ? You see, everything that Christ has done is worthy, valuable. It's more valuable than money. It's more valuable than our lives because he's saving lives with his ministry. Amen. And to make all men see, this is Paul talking. I'm going to make all men see because this is what he's called to do. What is the fellowship? The mystery. The fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God who created all things by Jesus Christ. Remember, God hid this on purpose. He did this with a purpose and a plan. He kept it hidden. He's revealing it. It's It's as if all of the Old Testament, which is true life events, were written for you and I today in today's generation because we I do believe we're in that last generation just before his return or we won't our generation won't end as he returns. Amen. Let's continue on in verse 10. To the intent that now unto the principalities, you've got these rules. That's what principalities are. And powers as privilege in heavenly places might be known by the church. That's you and I. The calling out the manifold wisdom of God according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. in whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you which is your glory or honor. So what is he saying here? Let's let's break this down. We have access to these rules and these powers to be bold, to be confident in sharing of the good news. And Paul is encouraging us. He doesn't want us to be bad, weak, fail, weary. This message, we shouldn't get tired of sharing it. It is the most important thing in the world. So when we see tribulations, things that Jesus did, he died on the cross. Every one of the disciples all were martyed except for John. I think he died of natural causes. But either way, they were all martyed. This is a blessing. And I want you to see this is not something we should look at and go. No, what we should do is look at it and say, "Hallelujah." Because see, life and death is in the palm of the hand of God. And the moment we leave our bodies, we come into his presence, absent from the body, present with the Lord. Oh death, oh death, where is your sting? Hallelujah. You see, this is the honor that we have. We get to walk in this confidence, in this boldness, knowing that we are fellow airs with Christ and what his ministry stood for, what his power does. We are the church calling out. We should be walking in this. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's go back to Ephesians 3 and we're now in verse 14. For this cause, I bow my knees unto the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I want you to see something here. Paul is showing us the access, the privilege that we have of getting this power. You see, there's a condition of the heart that makes this possible. And a lot of us aren't ready. I remember years ago, I'm going to share a testimony at our Wednesday night Bible study next week, but a little piece of it. I remember going to tell after hearing the voice of God tell me to go to church. I remember going to confront my husband and in that moment I felt like I had every power and authority that I could do that I could cause lightning to come down. Hey, my husband's still alive so all is well. But how I felt so anticlimatic and defeated when he said, "Okay, I'll go with you." I thought I was going to have to fight him to go to church. Well, the fight came later. But in that moment, I had every power and authority and I knew it. And the reason I teach this now is because I want you to know and understand that as fellow heirs, we have this power. We have this authority to come in and to make a difference and to show people the true power of God. Not witchcraft, not uh voodoo or any of that junk. No, we are looking at the true power and authority of God that we have access to. And he's showing us how to do it. He bowed his knees. So he humbled himself. And then look at what he says. Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named. We come through the descendant or lineage of Adam. Adam failed. But Jesus came through that same line. We come through that same line. We're brothers and sisters with Jesus. I hope you're getting that. In heaven and earth is named. Verse 16. that he would grant give you according to the riches the wealth of his glory to be strengthened. You're you're empowered increased in vigor with might which is that force or miraculous power by his spirit in the inner man. You should be able to feel this on the inside. You should be hearing the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So he started off with the humbling. Remember he humbled himself and now he's got this might. So what happens next? He this verse 17 that Christ may dwell. Oh, wait a second here. Have I been teaching on abiding in the secret place with the Lord? How many messages now? Here's Paul telling us by humbling him, getting that power, you're to dwell in the in your heart with by faith that ye being rooted and grounded in love. Here's love. I just taught on this last week. We need to have love. Without love, it's clanging symbols. It's nothing. And there's people who called out demons in the name of Jesus and did all this because demons know the name of Jesus is powerful. But when that person goes to face judgment with God and that person says, "Well, I cast out all those demons in your name. I did all this in your name." And Jesus says, "I don't know who you are." See the love is absolutely imperative that we have in our hearts. So let's read that again. Verse 17. That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith that ye you being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend. Look at this word comprehend is to take eagerly seize possess with all things. Meaning we got to do this in unity. We do this as a body of Christ. We do this as the church. And look what he says. What is the breadth and length and depth and height? We're gonna continue on in a minute. That just means every part of Jesus. Every part. How high he is, how low he'll go, how far to the left or right he will go to get us. That is what he's telling us here. We can understand that completely by humbling ourselves, getting our love back in our heart, which is understanding the love of God. Jesus did the ultimate love sacrifice. He went to the cross and died for us. That's love. I don't care what anyone else says. It could be, "Oh, I got this feeling and emotion." No, no, no. It's the benevolence. It's the the obligation. Jesus had an obligation and he went and did his duty. That's the kind of love we're talking about. It It's a self-control emotional aspect, but it's a knowing in the mind. I got to go do this because I need so and so to be saved. I got to go tell him. I got to stay strong in the Lord. I got to get in my secret place because I need that love in me to keep moving me forward so that I have it purposed in my heart. I want so and so saved. I gotta get my brother, my sister, my love, my cousins, my parents, my children. This is what you're fighting for. This is what you're living for. Amen. And this is it. And look at this verse 19. And to know the love of Christ. There it is. The affection and benevolence which passes knowledge. It goes past beyond the knowledge of it that ye may be filled with fullness of God. Because that's how you're going to understand that. That's how you're going to know this. You see, by humbling ourselves and and understanding what Christ did on the cross. That's where love starts. Hey, he died for me. There's you don't even have to have an emotional experience to that. It's a start. It's a knowledge. And what happens is because you have that knowledge, you say, "Okay, well, I want to go find out more about who Jesus is." and you begin to spend time with him. What happens? You're abiding in him. That knowledge the the effective it begins goes beyond knowledge. It's now an emotional integral part of your being that when people see you, they get to know you. They know you by your fruits because you're walking in love. You are walking in that holiness with him. And they see that And it is strengthening your inner man because you're letting the word of God, remember that's Jesus Christ in the flesh, was the word and the word became flesh. That word you're allowing it to manifest, boil right out of you and it is splattering on everyone around you because love is what binds us all together. This is what brings us into that unity. Amen. You can go read 1 Corinthians chapters 12,13 and 14. You will see how love works especially in the gifts of the power of the Holy Spirit. And these are gifts that Christ gives us so that we can bring those we love to his holiness. So we but we have to understand comprehend the rules the powers that God has established for us as the church to use. We have to know how to use them. We don't want to be ignorant of that. This is why when he talks about the height, the width, the depth, the length, he's showing us a complete full understanding of how God sets things up, how he operates in that power through love and obedience. Because Paul was not only did he bow his knees, humble himself, get the love, and dwell in Christ, he was obedient to do that actionable item. That's what he did. Oh, that's incredible. Let's go read the last two verses in chapter 3, Ephesians. Now unto him that is able. Not everyone can do this, but he's talking to you and me. Watch this. Now unto him that is able possible to do exceeding abundantly over above all that we ask or think according to the power the miraculous power that workketh in us. Unto him be glory unto God be glor or actually unto us be the glory honor in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages world without end. Amen. Catch that he's talking about us. He's saying you know if you're able see possible it starts with knowledge you see something happen you see a miracle and you're just like okay I remember I've seen these things I mean my my young adulthood of life I grew up in the church but at that point in my life what God did to transform me was incredible. So, I got the knowledge of it then. But what the Lord has been working on me throughout my life since is building up his love in my heart because I'm coming to realize how much he loves others as much as he loves me. I shared this before. I'll share it again. I did not want to pray for Hamas who attacked Israel. I felt Israel should kick their behinds out of here. But I also felt very conflicted about that. The Holy Spirit was telling me, "You need to pray for them. I love them just as much as you." And when I was obedient to that and I prayed for them and I not only prayed, I prayed that I I forgave them. I had to forgive them. That's the act of obedience here. I forgave them. And then I asked God to forgive them. Remember Jesus says, "Whatever you forgive, I will forgive." So he becomes obligated to forgive and he forgave them. And then I asked for the Holy Spirit to move in their hearts and minds. And God sent them a vision of the same man in their dreams. Over 200 Hamas men had that dream. They went to the missionary which was nearby and they said, "What does this mean?" And the missionary was able to minister to them and they were harvested. They became believers in Christ. And I am very confident that my prayer is what pushed that over the edge. So I continue to pray today in obedience because he loves them just as much as he loves me. So all those people we see in the world that we don't like, he loves them just as much as he loves me. So who is able? Are you able? Are you able to believe? Are you able to dwell in the secret place with him? Are you able to go find out? Because you are fellow heirs. You are. When Jesus was ascending from heaven, he made a pit stop. He stopped at the garden of Gethsemane or excuse me at at where the stone was rolled away where he was buried. His body was buried and Mary Magdalene was there and he stops. So he's got like billions of souls behind him and he stops and he says to her, "My father, I go to my father, your father." uh my God, your God. That is him fulfilling the fact that we are fellow airs, joint hes that before we were made a little lower than the angels, we're now equal with Jesus. And I hope you understand that. And if Jesus can walk in the power and the authority to raise people from the dead, to heal people from the sick that and to let them see and no longer be blind. Guess what? we have the access and privilege to do because we are fellow heirs. We can do that. That is our calling and we should be doing that. And what do you do? Humble yourself before the Lord. Get on your knees. Dwell in the place. Read his scriptures. Ask him. Start talking with him. Let his word come back to you as you read it because that's his communication to you. And then you ask him and he will reveal to you as he did Paul. Paul is a fellow air as well. And we're fellow airs right there with Paul. Jesus. If he can reveal a mystery to Paul, he can reveal it to us. And he can answer every single one of your questions that you have because that's who we believe in and that's who we partner with. That's who we are co-artakers with. He has all the knowledge. He's the creator. Well, that means we get to know everything. Now we don't know everything but when we come together in unity and remember that love that he has for everyone that love that we begin to show and we abide in and we let that love manifest in us then Jesus can move through us and that allows the Holy Spirit to push through and let the gifts move through us. Let us become fruitful. It it shows us the fruit. We we begin to manifest the love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance. That is the fruit. And then the gifts on above and beyond that where we get to talk to someone and and share something with them that they never told you. That's the Holy Spirit revealing something to you to get their attention. How did you know about that? That is the Holy Spirit manifesting. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. You are amazing and glorious and faithful and I thank you for your word. Lord, I pray that we hear your word that we take the action of it by humbling ourselves, getting to know the knowledge of what you have done on the cross and the rising of your from the grave, the rising of you from the grave. And we just pray that that penetrates our heart and that we actually abide in your word. We pray and ask that the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit uh the fruits manifest in us and stay within us and we get to show that for the rest of our lives and that the gifts manifest so that we can minister to your body in the name of Jesus and to the souls that are lost out there right now Lord. Thank you father God in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye.
