HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
Minister Lisa Kane
August 12, 2023

Objective:
The objective of this message is to teach believers the difference between human works of righteousness and God’s true righteousness that is imputed through faith in Jesus Christ. Lisa emphasizes that salvation and protection do not come from outward deeds or religious observance, but from acknowledging sin, accepting God’s gift of grace, and living in continual relationship with Him. The message aims to encourage believers to seek God’s presence, walk in His righteousness, and understand the blessings, protection, and eternal life that flow from that relationship.
Synopsis:
In this teaching, Lisa explores the meaning of God’s righteousness as revealed in Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper… their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.” She explains that it is God who calls us righteous, not our works or religious practices. By walking in His righteousness, believers gain protection, peace, and security—even in the midst of affliction, oppression, and end-time calamities.
Lisa unpacks Isaiah 54:11–17, showing how God transforms affliction into blessing by building His people on foundations of precious stones and promising peace for their children, both natural and spiritual. She stresses the generational impact of righteousness and warns that sin can also pass down consequences. Drawing from Ezekiel and Romans, she highlights that human righteousness cannot deliver us, but God’s righteousness—received through repentance and faith in Christ—brings life and transformation.
Throughout the message, Lisa ties in spiritual warfare, end-time warnings, and the necessity of intimacy with God. She reminds listeners that salvation is a gift, not earned by works, and that only by pressing into God’s presence, seeking His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and acknowledging Christ as Savior can believers live free from fear and condemnation. The teaching concludes by urging listeners to examine whether they are relying on their own works or truly resting in His righteousness, which alone secures eternal life and victory over the enemy.

Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, August 12th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called His Righteousness. Oh, you're going to love this message. This is a powerful word. Let's open up a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your blessing. We thank you for your anointing. We thank you for your presence. open our ears, open our eyes, open our hearts, and open our minds to see, hear, believe, and apply, live your word, Father God, because when we see and believe, or when we see and hear, we believe. So, thank you for your word, and thank you for showing us your righteousness, so we have something to walk by and stand by in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Ah, amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture. Okay. his righteousness. Opening scripture, Isaiah 54:17. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. Look at the capital Y there. It's talking about God will condemn it. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me, says the Lord. He's going to call you righteous. He's the one who determines whether you're righteous or not. Oh, so this is such a good message. We're going to start though. I want to we're going to dig into the scripture here in a little bit more, but that's what we're going to get to. But I want to take this into context and I want to show you starting at verse 11. So, let's go there real quick. Says, "Oh, you afflicted one." So, we're still in Isaiah 54. We're in verse 11. Oh, you afflicted one. Pause. Have you been tormented? Have you been suffering? And even as a believer, so a non-believer or a believer, if you've been afflicted now, when you have the righteousness of God, because you become a believer, he's going to show you what he's going to do for you. If you are an unbeliever and you've been afflicted and for many times, you haven't been. But I'm going tell you right now, we're entering a time where now this is being allowed. We'll get into this more in as we get along this scripture here. But oh you afflicted one, if if you're suffering stuff in your mind, you you can't sleep. Look at what it says here. Uh tossed with tempest and not comforted. You know, for many many years, I would see the vision of a tempest, a whirlwind, always praise and worship at church, whatever. You know, I would see it and I would wonder, you know, but I never took the initiative to go look it up. And until I took my life to the next level and built my relationship with the Lord because I wanted to make sure he knew my name. I wanted him to know me and then I wanted to know him. Once I took that step and I I it's a like living for the Lord. I chose to finally live for the Lord, not just be saved and wander, you know, go to church on Sundays, live for Christ on Sunday, be all good about it, and then go home s uh Monday through Saturday going living for whatever life. You see, once I made that transition, a change took place and this is it. Oh, you afflicted one tossed with tempest and not comforted. I stopped seeing those visions of whirlwinds.
And I'm telling you that it was from the Lord. He he he was showing me this this whole time and I wasn't paying attention. So I hope you pay attention. Learn from my mistakes, will you? Okay. So says toss with tempest and not comfort it. Not comforted just means you can't sleep. You can't get comfortable in your bed. Everything is just not right. You are afflicted. Look what he says. Behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems and lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of rubies, your gates of crystal, and all your walls of precious stones. Let's talk about stones. That's a foundation or that is your wall. When um in California they build with wood and drywall and uh insulation. Well, where we are in Missouri and further east you go, they build with brick. But the stone and and stone might see u like castles build with stones. Well, God is saying if you're afflicted, he's saying, "I'm going to take those stones and I'm going to make them special stones, colorful stones, and they're going to be sapphires, rubies, crystal." And these are stones that are precious. They are stones that are hard, and they are your foundation. And it protects you. It's your hedge of protection. Now look what he also says. So he's got now he's putting a in other words if you trust in him that your walls of crystal are in place. You can lay your head at night knowing nothing is going to come against you. You get that? This is powerful. Now he says in verse 13, all your children shall be taught by the Lord and great shall be the peace of your children. Oh now let's look at that in depth. And this is not just children biological. This is spiritual children. You've built a relationship. You've adopted kids. So when you are in his rightness, he put his righteousness in you because you chose to seek ye first the kingdom of God. We're going to get into that. When you choose to do that, your offspring is going to be taught by the Lord. Why? Because they're seeing you. They're asking you, and you're making an impact on their lives. And he says he's teaching them because it's now connecting in their brain and heart because don't let my words uh be confirmed with you. You need to be confirming the word of God in this message, which is what we're looking at. We're taking his scriptures and we're applying it here. But the children will see this and then look and great shall be the peace of your children. Even now as I'm teaching you this, your child here, you look at I got to read it again because this is powerful. And great shall be the peace of your children. You see, it goes from generation to generation. If you ask yourself, why do bad things happen? Especially to kids, it is because your sin affects the kids. Your righteous, his righteousness in you. Your action of going in the secret place with the Lord dwelling in there, pressing into him passes down to your children. Your sin passes down to your children. But he says they will be at peace. Great will be their peace. You guys, you guys got to grasp this. Do you see how important it is? If you don't want bad things to be happening in this world, you need to press in. I can't stress that enough. I know sometimes you I've been reading Isaiah. I know there are things in there I don't understand. I was talking to my dad about that last night. I don't understand. But that's okay because I still am talking with God. And you know what? He will reveal the scriptures when you let him. But you can't know them until you get into them. So this is why you have to put that time aside. You have to open it up. You have to look at things you don't even understand. Which means you need to read the book of Revelation. You need to book read the book of Genesis. The most two attack books in the Bible. You need to read them. You may not understand them. You may not even believe them. But go with God. He says, "Come, let us reason together." Isaiah 1:18. You get into his presence and he will be there. That is a blessing for your children. If you're not doing that, they got a curse of your sin on them. And then you wonder why they're getting cancer and what have you. What is cancer? Canc you know what the consequence of cancer the the main priority of cancer. There are different versions of it, different types, but most of it comes from bitterness, unforgiveness.
But if you're in the presence of the Lord, you're letting it all go. Cast your cares upon the Lord. Amen. Let's continue on. Verse 14. in righteousness you shall be established. Now remember our opening scripture, it was his righteousness. So but our act of going and we're coming into unity with the Lord and then he places he calls us righteous. He says we're righteous even though you know I'm still flesh. I'm messed up. I'm guilty. I'm a sinner. You're by the way. Everybody has sinned. Everyone has fallen short of the glory of God except Jesus. Which means we have to go to him to get our part in so that we so someone like me who has sinned can actually teach the word of God. Guess what? Someone like you who has sinned can actually understand the word of God if you take that step and you get into there. Oh, this is powerful. Look it. You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you. Okay, now we know that we are entering the end times here. I was about to try to teach on end times because there's a lot of going on with the peace treaty and the rapture and this is all flooding the internet right now. And uh I was going to do that and I was praying, I was studying. I couldn't get this, you know, I've taught on end times before. So, it's not that I didn't understand or anything. It's just I wasn't being released to teach that. Closed the computer. I went to put my headphones on, put some Christian music on, spent time with the Lord, praising him and glorifying him. Took it off, came back to the computer, and then this scripture popped in my head. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. And I said, "Okay, Lord, here we go." And as I started digging into it, but watch this. He says, "You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear and from terror, for it shall not come near you." Why? Take a look at the terror that is going on in the world now. The volcanoes erupting, all the earthquakes, we still have all that going on. You see all the fires. I mean, Lahani is wiped out in Maui over there. There it's gone. An entire city gone. Town city is gone. So now in Greece, the same thing. You have to ask yourself, why did that happen to them? If you go read Abraham when he had his three visitors and they were going to go over to Sodom and Gomorrah, judge Sodom and Gomorrah and then rescue Lot. Abraham, he's like, "Wait, wait, wait." He says, "If there's 50 righteous, would you still do it?" They said, "No, 30, 20, and 10." They said, "No." But there was a level there. So righteousness drops from these areas and when it does you become oppressed and afflicted. But when you come into his presence there's a big difference. Let's continue on here. This is very powerful. Indeed they shall surely assemble but not because of me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. Okay, now I really want you to see this. Okay, so here we are in this end times. So
the demonic forces are out in force and they have permission by God to do certain things. So if you go to Isaiah 45:7, he says, "I formed the light. I create darkness. I cause all calamity." So God is saying this to King Cyrus 400 years in advance. Well, that is telling us that all the demons have to do what God says. But look at what this scripture says. Indeed, they shall surely assemble, but not because of me. In other words, they're not doing what God told them to do.
How many of you get attacked knowing you are following the Lord, living in the secret place? I just got sick when we got out here. And I'm thinking, Lord, what happened? I see the answer right here in front of me. They assembled, but not because of him. They were going against his permission. Now look at what he says. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. I'm going tell you right now, that sickness was gone. I had to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had to wait for it. But that weapon did not prosper. It fell for me. Because see, I'm the one in obedience with God. I'm the one in see uh dwelling in his secret place. And yet the demons who are supposed to follow God and do what he says stepped out of line. They fell because of it. Oh, now we're beginning to see what's going on because see this is also in addition to the spiritual warfare series I've taught a couple years ago that you can go look at in our website. I am telling you that God has a purpose. He has a plan. He blesses whom he wants to. He has mercy on whom he wants to. He hardens whom he wants to. And then he curses whom he needs to. And a lot of the times, see, we're not fighting the devil anymore. They were already defeated. What we're fighting sometimes, we're fighting God because he's trying to get your attention because you're not spending time with him. He is trying to get your attention. Listen, I need you to come to me because I'm going to make you safe. But you're going to be dealing with these issues until you get there. And then when you're dealing with other issues that aren't from me, they will not live. They'll fall. They'll fall apart. They'll be gone. That is what's so powerful here. Look at now continue on. He says, this is verse 16. Behold, I, this is God talking, have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument or a weapon for his work. And I have created the spoiler or the waster to destroy. You see, God will destroy what he wants to destroy. He's the one who created this. This is why now we have to find out what his righteousness is about because, you know, everyone talks about, "Oh, he's loving, he's merciful, but he's a judger, too, and he is a destroyer. He can curse." This is why it's so important for us to come into his presence to find out who he is and then to make sure he knows who we are. Are you telling him you're a sinner? Are you telling him you're messed up? Are you telling him you ask him for forgiveness? Or are you telling him, "H, I think you're good. You just live your life. Leave me alone." Well, then he's sending you an instrument, a a weapon for his work. You know, this is uh any type of your righteousness that you do because that's a lowercase H there. So, behold, I've created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire. Look at how many fires we have going on right now. You know, when you looked at the Canadian one and they showed the satellite image and all those fires, it was hundreds of they all started at the same time, but they were all over the different places and then they converged into one. And and you look at that going, that had to be spiritual. I mean, unless you had a hundred something people together in agreement lighting a fire. Can that be done? Yes. But it is highly improbable. I mean, unless God did it that way, too. Who knows? But God was doing this. So, he's the one who says, "Who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth a weapon for his work, and I created the waster to destroy." So, this is God's God is in control of everything. So, you have to acknowledge you're guilty of your sin. Remember the thief on the cross. He did that. Now having that background and and understanding what leads to this verse, now look at verse 17. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Let's stop there. That word prosper is be fruitful and multiply. Meaning you're still going to get hit with that uh weapon. You're still going to be hit and afflicted, but it won't keep going. It won't perpetuate. When I got sick, it took a while. Took three, four weeks. But it's gone and it didn't prosper. Because I was out of alignment and because it was his righteous. He calls me righteous. Why? Because I have a relationship with him. He called Abraham righteous because he believed it. it. Go read Hebrews 11. That awesome chapter says, "And every tongue which rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn." You see, God knows everything. He's going to condemn all those people that are saying evil things about you. How many people don't like my teaching and they say something and curse me? I did this. I went through. I did it, too. But God condemned. You shall condemn. God shall condemn. He Jesus is condemning it because it it's his judgment, not mine, not yours. He has given the ability for us to judge. But then what do we do with it? You need to speak blessings. You know, it's like praying for your neighborhood. You know, God, these thieves are all around me. They're stealing. Get rid of them. I curse them. I You know what? No. But if you bless them, say, "Lord, I bless them financially." Guess what? If they have everything they need, they ain't going to be stealing anymore. Do you see the difference? Now, look at this. Every tongue which rises against you in judgment. You shall condemn him. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is for me, says the Lord. It was nothing I did other than I said, "I'm sorry because I messed up." and I built a relationship with him. That's all I did. That's it. And I'm not boasting on that because it had to be his choice to choose whether I'm righteous or not. I hope you guys get that because no matter how many church attendants you go to and you went Sunday by Sunday by Sunday, eventually you will fall and you won't make it. So, you can't boast in that. And church attendance isn't what's going to save you. It's the fact that you're a sinner that you said to Jesus, I am so sorry I messed up. And then he starts to work in him. You become his workmanship and you he begins to change you from the inside, transform you and get you ready. But in the meantime, he's called you righteous. And now he says, "I've got you shielded in stones of precious colors." Let's go to Ezekiel now. I want you to see this. Look at this. This is talking about a a wicked man and a righteous man and their actions and their consequences. Look at this 21. But if a wicked man turns from all his sins, which he has committed, by the way, that would be me. That would be you. We all acknowledge that we sinned, but we've turned our lives around. I don't want to sin anymore. I don't want to do those. I don't want to practice sexual immorality. I don't want to practice witchcraft. I don't want to gossip. I don't want to judge. I don't want to use the name the God's name in vain. I want my life to be different. Says, look at this. This is if you're that wicked man that turns from all his sins which he has committed. You keep all my statutes and does what is lawful and right. He shall surely live. He shall not die. You wonder why some kids die. Again, the consequence from of sin for the parents goes to the kids. So you to make your kids live longer, to make your lives live longer, you need to repent and turn around. And if you're thinking, well, what kind of God does that? He's the one who created this world. Who do you think you are to question his rules? He's trying to make you right. And all you're saying is, "I want my sin approved." Well, I'm telling you, it will not be approved. He will not bless you, nor will I. I'm in his righteousness now. I will not bless your sin. You want to live in sin, that's between you and God. But I'm praying for you. I pray for unbelievers every night in my prayers. Now look at verse 22. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him because of the righteousness which he has done. He shall live. Now see there's a difference in this righteousness and is something you do. Now this this is an action you take. You see, you have God's righteousness that's in you and then you have your righteousness. You have to purpose in your heart that I'm going to put the Lord first. Seek ye first the kingdom of God. We're going to get to that. You have to take the action of I want to repent. I want to change. Oh, how powerful that is. And when you do, you shall live. That is a blessing. You have a long life to live. And I'm going to tell you right now, even though we're in the end times and it's all about to come to end, you go in the rapture, your life still goes on. You're still living that eternity. You will live. How many people are going to go to hell, wake up in hell, living in hell for an eternity. That's horrible. You don't want to do that. You're a sinner. Just acknowledge it. You messed up. And the one, there's only one way. He is the way, the truth, and the life. And it's by him that you're going to get to the father. And let me make that clear so you understand it in the correct analogy because that peace treaty with the pope and the uh the Muslims or uh Islam for Allah, they come into agreement because they're saying all ways get to God. No, no, no. All the ways don't get to God. If I live in Los Angeles and you live in San Diego and I give you directions to my house, but you go and head toward Mexico, will you ever get to my house? No, you're on the wrong path. So, don't fall for that line about all ways get to God because they don't. Let's continue now in Ezekiel. Now, we're in chapter 33 verse 12 and 13. Now, look at this. It says verse 12, "Therefore you, oh son of man, say to the children of your people, the righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression." When you go to live for Christ, but you didn't get saved first because you didn't acknowledge your sin. You just simply go to church. You simply go feed the homeless. You you cast out demons in his name. Jesus says, "I never knew you. that good thing. It's a good thing, but it's not going to uh deliver you from your transgression. It's not going to do that. Let me read that again. I want you to see this. Therefore, you, oh son of man, say to the children of your people, the righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression. This is why I'm teaching this message, and I call it his righteousness. He has to call you righteous, which the first thing you have to do is acknowledge you've sinned and you've fallen short of the glory of God. You messed up. Then you can choose to press in and get to know him and what you do in secret is exposed. He says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God." That's the clincher here. Then go do all those good things. But if you're doing those good things without doing this, read it again. The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of transgression. Look at this. As for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall because of it in the day that he turns from his wickedness. Nor shall the righteous be able to live because of his righteousness, lowercase, in the day that he sins. If you think going to church is making you good and you miss one service for whatever reason, no gas, uh, someone died in the household or you just couldn't make it that day because you were sick, you had spent a lot of time in the bathroom, whatever the case may be, you missed it. Guess what? You fell into sin again. You sinned because you established that as your right standing with God. He's going to show you you're going to fall every single time, which is what the law tells us. This is what the ten commandments tells us. Now look at verse 13. He says, "When I say to the righteous that he shall surely live, remember this is now Isaiah going back, you shall surely live." And that first part that the first part of Ezekiel that we read, he says, "But he trusts in his own righteousness and commits iniquity because now you're depending on your own righteousness, but you sin again." He's reiterating this. None of his righteous works shall be remembered. God isn't going to count and remember how many times you went to church. God isn't going to count how many times that uh you helped at the soup kitchen. He not going to tell you that. He's not going to remember any of that. Excuse me. Why? Because it's your righteousness, not his. And if you are depending on that to clear you of your sins, guess what? It ain't going to happen. The only way to God is through Jesus. And the only way to do that is to acknowledge him that he is innocent because he per he was perfect. He took on sin and he passed the test. We all failed. We're guilty. We've lost. We were born into sin and there was nothing we can do about it. There's nothing. You just got to confess him as Romans 10:9 says, and look at this. But because of the iniquity that he has committed, he shall die. Then you wonder why. Why do good people die? Hey, you don't know what's inside their heart, but God knows. And he knows not only what's inside their heart and what they're dealing with, but he knows whether they have believed in him or they're depending on their righteousness. I, you know, I had a coworker who saw what I was doing and all he says is I need to do good things. I'm thinking you need to confess Jesus is Lord. That you know Romans 10:9 that if you confess Jesus is Lord. You that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God is raised from the dead you will be saved. Look at what the thief on the cross did. He told the other thief, "Hey, he's innocent. We're guilty." He acknowledged his guilt. And then he looked to Jesus says, "Remember we me when you enter your kingdom." And Jesus said, "Today I promise you, you will be with me in paradise." That's in Luke 20, I think it is. I've been teaching on that now for several weeks. Get in there and read the scriptures. Romans 6:16 through8. Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves when you obey, whether of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness. So whichever life you live, you got to lay the foundation first with his salvation. Remember salvation is from the Lord too. Let his salvation, his righteousness come in you. The only way you're going to get it is when you press in and you come into him. But see, when you're not doing that, you are obeying to the slaves of the world and you're following the world's concept here. Now, look at this. But, uh, verse 17, but God be thank though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. You see, you have to be set free from sin first and then you become a slave to rightness. You be you want to come into the presence of the Lord. You want that rightness. You actually took your whole body and you brought it under self-control under the gift of the Holy Spirit and you said, "No, Lord, I'm putting you first. I am not following this world." Let's continue on here. Now, we're in verse 20. We're going to skip 19. Verse 20. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. Look at that. You were free. You, In other words, you weren't bound to righteousness when you were a sinner. In other words, if you were in a Gucci store, you saw a purse or something there and you decided to steal it because you didn't have any righteousness in you. Look at the state of California right now. You can steal up to $950 and nobody can do anything. And in fact, if they try to stop you, they're the ones that are going to get arrested and prosecuted. Talk about backwards, right? So, look at this. Verse 21. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed?
You see, when you were living in the world and you weren't righteous, you did things. You sinned. And by the way, it doesn't matter your lifestyle how you live. You still lied. You still cheated. You still stole. you, me are were sinners that needed to repent. And now we can be a slave to righteousness. Now we can live for Christ. Now we can commit to him. And we come to realize that one day a week in church isn't it. We go there now to minister. We go there to pray. We pray for people. But the six days, we're spending time in the word and we're spending time in his presence, praising him and praying for that upcoming service and asking the anointing of the Holy Spirit, asking for the spirit of healing to be there because now we're living right with Christ because we're being obedient to his righteousness. He called us righteous because now the blood of Jesus covers us. says, "Now verse 22, but now having been set free from sin and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness and the end everlasting life." See, now you get to live eternally, not by the works because you would boast otherwise, but by God who calls you righteous because you put his son first. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And then look at verse 23. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of life is eternal life in Christ Jesus. So every time you enter sin, you're dying. Aging. When Adam and Eve sinned, he died 930 years later. Death, a form of death is aging. And he aged to 930 years and he died. every one of us. This is a this is a way to see that we're all in death, that we've all sinned, and that we've all fallen short of short of the glory of God. It's because we're sinning, aging, and as long as we keep aging, we're dying. But look at the second part of that. But the gift of God. Gift. We can't boast about a gift other than, you know, I went and got my pardon from the remission of sins. Did you? Oh, good. There's no boasting there. You just went and got your gift. But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Living for Christ and living in his goodness here in the flesh is our first steps toward eternal life. We're going to be living eternally with the Lord. And what happens is we die to the world. We're we're no longer in sin. We we've left that domain. This world has nothing to offer me. I don't want anything other than I want to see you saved. And I'm appointed with Christ in the heavenly places for his will, which is to save you, which is why I do this. I do this because he called me righteous. Otherwise, I'm a sinner. I was a sinner just like you. But thank God, he changed me and transformed me. And why? Why the whole thing matters comes down the whole of this matter eternal life everything comes to this scripture right here Matthew 6:33 but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you those crystal gems the stones around you the authority to see and know that even though we're afflicted and oppressed that it doesn't prosper that there is no weapon formed against us, not even the ones from God. I mean, he can take us out if he wants to anytime he wants to. But he says you're righteous because you believe that Jesus is the son of God. You believe my son. This is what God is saying. So, I'm I'm trying to do a distinction here between the works that you can boast in and the foundation of salvation and then the works of his righteousness in you. And I promise you this, when you're in his righteousness, you teach on the spirit of love, not the spirit of fear. You know, we are not called to teach on a spirit of fear or to live in a spirit of fear, but of love and of a sound mind. A sound mind is when you realize the truth of the matter. You realize that Jesus is the son of God. You acknowledge that you messed up. And once the salvation is established, oh now you know in fact if you look at how Jesus did, he was water baptized. So your salvation doesn't require water baptism. But Jesus when he was water baptized went into the wilderness and dealt with the devil. He went through 40 days, 40 nights dealing with temptation and overcoming the devil. So that means if you look at what water baptism is, you are saying I choose his righteousness. I go down and I come up washed of my sins now. And when I come up, his seed is firmly rooted in me. And what happens now is you are eligible to go into ministry. So you can go into the wilderness. Paul, even though he knew the scriptures, he was Saul on the road to Damascus and Jesus touched him, changed his life and he got his sight back three days later, he went into the wilderness for three years to understand what was going on here because he needed that before he can teach us. So now, when you get into that right standing with God, there's a time of a root that needs to take place. you need to get rooted and then you get water baptized and you're ready. But you have to go after the enemy when you get rooted uh when you get water baptized and you deal with the enemy and once the enemy is dealt with now you walk in his ministry. Now you see the church doesn't teach a lot about that but that is scripture. That is how it happened with Jesus. That is how it happened with Paul. So now what happens though is because you are spending time getting rooted, getting into your new routine with the Lord. And again, this is where I'm coming from. I finally chose to press in, not be one foot in, one foot out, and be lukewarm, which God will spit you out if you are. I never knew. You remember this these scriptures, you will understand that you put both your feet in. Now you're in ministry and now you are in the rightness of God, his righteousness. Because now he can call you righteous. He calls you righteous the moment you get saved. By the way, the moment you say, "I'm messed up." And you say, "Jesus, forgive me." He automatically calls you righteous at that point. His righteousness is already in you. You know that thief on the cross had righteousness at that moment. He did. So the question then I have to ask you is where you are in your walk and analyze this because I'm telling you this in love because I want you to be right with God. So are you doing works that you think you need to do to get to heaven? If you are back up and realize the only way to get to heaven is Jesus. Stop boasting in your works and say, "Hey Jesus, I'm sorry I messed up." because that's all he asks us to do. And then you can go back to doing those things that you believe is right. But always put the word of God first. Get into his presence first. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added. Everything else comes into place after that. your home life, your work life, your personal life with your family and friends, everything lines up because what you do in secret, Psalm 91, get into the secret dwelling place with the Lord, what you do in secret, God brings out into the open in the world. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we thank you for distinguishing the difference between salvation and your righteousness and showing us how to have your righteousness and how to walk with you. Oh, Father God, let us live by those actions. Let us speak the words of uh acknowledging that you are our savior, our lord, that we have sinned. Thank you, Father God, for helping us take those right steps in your direction to follow the doctrine of your word, not the doctrine of what we think is your word or what we think is the church. So Lord, help us do that. But then at the same time, then take us further into your presence and teach us how to be in the church and how to minister, not to get to heaven, but to show your presence. Oh, Father God, you are amazing and glorious and wonderful. Thank you for your righteousness and thank you for your salvation in the name of Jesus. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye.
