KING OF GLORY
Minister Lisa Kane
March 18, 2024

Objective:
The objective of this message is to teach believers how to welcome the King of Glory—Jesus Christ—into their lives, cities, families, and nations by opening the “gates” of prayer in the secret place. Through Psalm 24 and supporting scriptures, the message emphasizes God’s sovereignty, the believer’s freedom from sin through Christ, and the authority given to intercede so that the Lord Himself, mighty in battle, fights for His people and restores what has been stolen by the enemy.
Synopsis:
Lisa Kane delivers a powerful teaching from Psalm 24 titled “The King of Glory.” The message begins by affirming that the earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord, including the authority over the devil, who is subject to God’s control. Believers are called to ascend the hill of the Lord with clean hands and pure hearts, which is made possible through Christ’s sacrifice and the believer’s freedom from sin as explained in Romans 6.
The teaching highlights the role of prayer in the secret place, where believers act as “city gates” through which the King of Glory enters to do battle. When believers intercede for their families, cities, nations, and leaders, God Himself, strong and mighty in battle, brings victory and restoration. Psalm 24’s repetition of “Lift up your heads, O ye gates” underscores the power and urgency of inviting God to reign.
Throughout the message, Lisa stresses that all victories belong to the Lord, and believers must give Him the glory. The message ties the theme to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, celebrating His victory over sin and death, and pointing to God’s ultimate plan revealed in Daniel 9:24 to bring an end to sin, reconcile iniquity, and establish everlasting righteousness. The teaching closes by urging believers to continue in prayer, trust God’s timing, and rejoice in His dominion and kingdom that endure through all generations.

Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this on Thursday, March 28th, 2024. Welcome. This message is called the King of Glory. Hallelujah. This is going to be a good message. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. I pray that the folks that listen and hear this message that they see, hear, receive, and believe the living word of God, and that it applies to their hearts and their minds, and that they walk in your word, giving you the glory, honor, praise, and strength. And I pray that us city gates come together in unity in our secret place and welcome the king of glory in to do our battles for us so that we can take it back what this devil has stolen from us because he is a thief. But you are God and you are in control. We give you the glory, honor, praise and strength. Thank you, Father God. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture. This is called the King of Glory. Psalm 24:7. Lift up your heads, oh ye gates, and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. Oh, I'm going to show you in depth how you have the authority to be in your secret place welcoming in the King of Glory. He's going to come in battle gear and he's going to do the battle for you. You're going to see his plan that he has to deal with sin in this message and you're going to see the victory that he has because you will see it because he is Lord. Amen. So, we're going to be dealing uh in depth in Psalm 24. It's got 10 verses. The last four verses repeat themselves. So, we're going to go through that. Then, we're going to go through some other scriptures. But I want you to see uh the details of this because I want to put it in its right perspective in context. So we're going to start here in Psalm 24:1. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. God created this earth. He created it. He created the heavens and the earth and he called it good. Everything in it belongs to the Lord, including sin. That might be challenging and difficult to understand, but let's go to Isaiah real quick. I want you to see God talking here. What he says about who he is. He says in Isaiah 45:7, "I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create evil. I the Lord do all these things. That's a very powerful statement. So here the psalmist is reminding us that God is in control of everything. He created this earth and that means everything belongs to him including the devil because God created the devil and he has to do everything God tells him to do. Remember when Jesus was in the wilderness and he was being tempted and the devil was offering him all these kingdoms? Jesus knew that they didn't belong to the devil and he had no right to offer them to the son of God. That's why he stopped the temptation and and dealt with him. The reality is is that the thief has come in and God wants us to be in that place where he comes through our city gate. We welcome him in and he goes to do battle to bring back our cities to us, to bring back our capital, to bring back our nation, to bring back our loved ones, to bring back everything that was stolen from us. Amen. Let's go to verse two because he he goes further on this. For he hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods. Remember when in Genesis 1:es 1 and two, the spirit of God is hovering over the waters and he says, "Let there be light." So he's reminding us who God is. He is the creator of this world and it is his creation here that is in operation. Who are we to question him? But he's asking us a question. Look at this. The psalmist says in verse three, who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who shall stand in his holy place? You know, my first thought when I read that is, oh, that is Jesus. But then I'm reminded as a believer in Christ, I'm Christlike. So, this is talking about me. How do I know this? Verse four answers the question. Let's go to verse four. He that hath clean hands and a pure heart, who hath not lifted up his soul into vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. Well, how do I know that's me? Whether I've done these things or not, I'm freed from sin. How do I know? Because Paul tells me in Romans 6. Let's go to Romans 6. I want you to see this. As a believer in Christ, this is what happens to you when you believe in Christ. Romans 6:2, he's talking about dead to sin. He says, "God forbid. How shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein?" Meaning, how do you go back to sin and live in sin anymore? It's like a dog going back to its vomit. But no, he's saying no, you are freed from sin. Look at verse seven. He says, "For he that is dead is freed from sin. You're free. You're delivered." So if you're going back and taking drugs or alcohol, you are freed from sin. You don't have to do it because all you have to do is say to God, "I'm not going to do that. I choose to repent." In fact, that's repentance. The word repent means to turn your life around. people. Um, there's kind of a small teaching out there that says that if you don't turn your life around, you didn't get saved. Remember Romans 10:13 says anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. So those that call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. If they did it once, they're saved. If they went back to their sins, they're still saved. There are I just finished teaching on this. You can go back, but there are different levels of Christians in the world. But ultimately, for those of us that know this and are already past that point, we're freed from sin. We're the ones who are going to climb his holy hill. We're the ones that are going to press into God. And when you're doing that, you're doing that in your seeker place. And what you're doing is you're welcoming in the King of glory. Let's continue on now and see because I just identified that you are the one with clean hands. You're the one with the pure heart. Look what happens because of you doing these things, climbing his holy hill, having clean hands. It says in verse 5, he shall receive the blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. God is going to bless you. What you do in secret, he exposes in the open. This is how God works. This is why we need to be welcoming in the King of glory here in the secret place to take back what the devil stole. This is the battleground that God has uh established for us until he deals with sin in the end, which I'm going to show you here very shortly. Look at verse six. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, oh Jacob sah. You see, we're seeking him. When you go into the secret place with the Lord, you are seeking him. You are saying, "Okay, Lord, I'm going to stand here and I'm going to give you the glory. I'm going to pray you into the situation. I'm going to call out the name of Jesus over this, over that." You are interceding on behalf of your city, on behalf of your family, on behalf of your nation, on behalf of our government, on behalf of upcoming elections. This is how prayer works and this is how we press in because we are freed from sin. We're climbing the holy hill, pressing into him and we're welcoming in the king of glory. Let's go now to our opening scripture in verse seven where he says now because after all of what we just read now he says lift up your heads oh ye gates and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors and the king of glory shall come in. And look what else he'll do. Says, "Who is this king of glory?" The the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. He's going to come through and do the battle. He's in full armor gear. And the moment you pray for your city, you pray for your church, you pray for your leaders, you pray for your pastors, you pray for your elders, you pray for your family, God moves in to do battle, to save them, and to teach them how to pray, how to walk with him because it takes somebody in prayer in the secret place, which is the gate that opens the door for the king of glory to come in. Oh, hallelujah. Now, I want to show you something else. So here's verse seven and 8. Guess what? Verse 9 and 10 says the exact same thing. Lift up your heads, oh ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors, and the king of glory shall come in. Who is this king of glory? The Lord of hosts. He is the king of glory. Sah. So he said it twice, which means it's more powerful than you can even realize. This is God and he's awesome and he's showing us what to do. Now, what's going to happen is you're going to see prayer get answered and your jaw literally will go. You will be in a state of shock. I'm telling I have seen God answer prayers and it my faith went from here to here. I've shared a lot of that here in other messages. But what do you do when you get to that point? Because yeah, your faith gets up here, but there's a point where you realize I can give you the glory to God. He is the king of glory. So even though I stepped in and I did what he said, who can ascend the holy hill and I did that and I prayed, I opened the gate to let him in and do the battle, he receives the glory, not me. I'm just being obedient. I'm giving God the glory. Look at what Psalm 39 or 29 says verses 1-3. Give unto the Lord, oh ye mighty. Give unto the Lord glory and strength. You see, I'm following scripture. When I saw him answer prayer, I gave him the glory. I gave him the strength because he is king of glory. Hallelujah. Give unto the Lord the glory. Do unto his name. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters. The God of glory thunderareth. The Lord is upon many waters. This is the God of whom we serve. He is thunderous. He is victorious. And we because he's a perfect gentleman have to let him in through our gates. So we open up the doors. We give him the glory. We see the victory and he gets the glory. This is how this works. Now, how do you know what to pray for when you are in that secret place? Because it is challenging. You got all kinds of people that'll tell you what to pray for. But watch what Proverbs says. Proverbs verse uh chapter 1:es 20- 23. Wisdom crith out crith without. She utterth her voice in the streets. She crith in the chief place of concourse in the openings of the gates. So wisdom is right there with you because you're the gate. Look what it says here. In the city she utterth her words, saying, "How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity, and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? turn you at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you. I will make known my words unto you. See, the goal of Jesus is to save as many as he can. He's in the business of forgiving. He's going to forgive. This is the time of grace we're in. He's going to forgive everyone of anything at any time. The Holy Spirit won't. I did a teaching on this. You can go back. You can go look up the scriptures, do some homework here. But Jesus says, "I'm going to forgive everyone." Which when you forgive them, he forgives them in the spirit. So when you're in your city gates and the Lord, the wisdom is giving you the words to pray, pray salvation unto those. Pray forgiveness unto them. Pray for your city leaders to be forgiven. Pray that you forgive your church leadership, your elders. Pray forgiveness because wisdom is there giving you the right words to pray. Pray that they see, hear, receive, and believe the living word of God. Because as you're praying these things, you're speaking words of wisdom. And the Lord God Almighty in battle gear is going to go do exactly what his word said because you gave him permission to do it because you are the city gate opening the door to the king of glory crowned wearing his armor and he's ready to do battle and he's going to be victorious. And now imagine, you know, you know, God doesn't have to do. If you go read the end of Revelation, I didn't bring this in, but I think it's a great thing to say here when Jesus is riding on his white horse and we're following him down. I think it's Revelation 19 or 20, something right around that area. You can go look it up. But you don't see him doing a battle clash with the beast or the devil or any of them. It's just all of a sudden you can just see he's got them bound. There is no battle clash with God doing the battle. He has the victory because he's God. He doesn't even need to wield a sword. He just says the words and that's it. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Now, look here in Revelation 22:14. He says, "Blessed are they that do his commandments that they might that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city." You see, the tree of life is salvation. When you open your gates and you allow the battle to be dealt with by God himself, you are already declaring victory. You know, when Jesus said he prayed, I just taught on this last week, prayed for Peter, he prophesied, well, when you get back, go help your brethren. It was like, wow. Okay. See, that's all it takes. This is the victories that we have. Some battles may take longer. You may have to intercede for years for somebody, but God does not return. He does not lose one. His word does not return void. Hallelujah. This is our God doing battle for us. Go to Psalm 145. We're going to read a handful of verses here. Verses 1 through3. I will extol thee, my God, O king, and I will bless thy name forever and ever. Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. This is the king of glory who made it possible for us to not only be a gate but to open the gate and to allow him in so that we take back what that devil lied and stole and deceived us of. You know when uh God asked Adam to tend the garden, that word tend is to protect. Those are your boundaries around you. That's the area that we're supposed to protect. So when the devil in the serpent form was talking to Eve, he was standing there. What happened was Adam was in honeymoon euphora. He was in La La Land as happy as can be and Google eyes to his beautiful wife. And he was just standing there next to her like, "Wow." Because that's God gave him this beautiful, lovely wife. The thing is is he was so focused on that his eyes came off of God didn't realize that his wife was being deceived and he ended up falling with her and they entered sin in. That's when s sin entered in. Now this was God's ultimate plan all the time. You're going to see here in Daniel in just a moment that God has a plan to deal with sin. This is the most powerful thing we have to understand is that when he sent his ge Jesus his only begotten son to redeem us, he knew what he had to bring back. But he told Adam to tend the garden. So now we're coming back into the tending of our surroundings. We tend to our cities. We tend to our loved ones. We tend to our households. We we protect. We place up a barrier and we allow the God of battle, our battle Lord Jesus, the King of glory to come in and do what he needs to do to restore, reconcile all of these areas unto him because it's his. He just wants it back. But he's asking you to open the gate and let him in. That's the secret place with the Lord. This a powerful message. Let's continue on in Psalm 145 down in verse 11. 11 through13. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom and talk of thy power. Is that you and I right now? We are talking about God's glory. That's a prophecy that just came true. And I'm sure we weren't the only ones to fulfill that prophecy because we are talking about the king of glory. Jesus is the kingdom of God. And that kingdom of God when Jesus was here, he's laying hands on the sick. He's casting out demons. Imagine if you're praying in your secret place for the Holy Spirit to move for an upcoming service. You show up and you you have been praying, "Lord, let these hands heal. You go and lay your hands on someone. You pray over them. They're no longer sick because God was allowed in because you allowed him in to do the battle. There's nothing special about your hands. You just ask God to allow you to be in the right place to say the right thing, pray the right thing, lay hands, cast out demons because you are part of the kingdom of God which Jesus established when he came to the earth about 2,000 years ago. Hallelujah. Verse 12, to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. And Jesus did that. When he walked, he was healing, delivering. So much so that when John wrote the at the end of the book, there were so many things that he did that all the books in the world could not hold it all. Wow. How powerful that is. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. So God has a dominion here. He's the creator. All he's waiting is on you to open the gate. You are the gate. And to open it, you sit in your secret place and you say, "Lord, I welcome you into my life. I welcome you into my city. I welcome you of who you are." Now, look what Jesus did because we we're following the example of Jesus. Look at this in Luke 4:42-43. And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place. By the way, that's his secret place where he was praying. See how this connects with this? Watch this. This is awesome. And the people sought him and came unto him and stayed him that he should not depart from them. And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also. For therefore am I sent. If you are Christlike, you are sent to pray for the cities. You are sent to pray for the nation. You are sent to pray for the world. This is our calling. This is the kingdom of God. Why? Why do we do this? Well, because right now sin is playing a dominant role, but God is the dominion here. So to bring dominion back into God's realm, we have to pray. Now, he has a plan. It's a prophecy that is already in motion and there is nothing you and I can do about it. So, we come back and take the dominion in prayer and allow the king of glory to come through in battle gear for the victories. It is to his will and to his plan that we do this because he's gonna deal with sin. So when Adam and Eve fell, he sent his only begotten son. But he did all of this so that he has a conclusion of ending sin, bringing a complete end to this. How do I know this? Go to Daniel 24 9:24. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city. Now watch, here's a list of things God is going to complete when it's all said and done. This is after the thousand-year millennium. This is when we are in heaven in the new Jerusalem. Watch this. He says to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins. You see, he's going to end sin permanently, completely. The whole purpose of sin reigning in this earth right now and him allowing it is so that when at the end he can prove because God is just, he is righteous, he is proving that sin is the problem and that he's going to put an end to it so that there is no more sin and the problem is eradicated and he completes it with perfection. Let's look what else he's going to do. and to make reconciliation for iniquity. Each of us are found with some sort of iniquity within us. You know, when you go read the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation um 2, three, four, right in that area, you will always see Jesus say, and I think he does this for uh six out of the seven churches. So, you have done this. You have kept my word, but you were weak. You did. But I still have this against you. When he says he still has this against you, there is iniquity. Iniquity and iniquity will always be there. This is why we have to forgive it and let it go. We have to forgive ourselves, forgive those around us because the iniquity stands and but God is going to bring an end to it. He says reconciliation for iniquity. So even though we've been in iniquity, so everything that has been stolen from us was allowed to be stolen because we were in iniquity. But when you are upon the holy hill and now that you're freed from sin and you're pressing in, you have the right to the reconciliation of what was stolen from you because of iniquity. This is and the Lord is bringing all of this to an end and closure. But it starts with you in the city ga in the gate and opening the door for the battle of the Lord to come in for the Lord to be in battle king of glory for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. That is God's ultimate plan. If you ever want to know what to be uh what your will is to be in in God's will, know what his will is and follow his will. You'll never go wrong. I promise you that. That is how God works. This is the conclusion that he is coming to. But how did he do it? He did it through his son Jesus Christ. He says to his only begotten son, go die for our beloved. And Jesus says, okay, I will do that. And then God told him, "You will pick up your life after." And he says, "Okay." So he went to the cross, died for the died for us, redeemed us with his blood, and then he picked up his life again. And he is the king of glory which allows us now to walk with him with holy clean hands calling on his name opening the gate and letting the king of glory in full battle array to come through and do the battles for us because that is to his ultimate end goal. Now what are we celebrating this week? We are celebrating resurrection day. We are celebrating that he was crucified and that he died on the cross because he had to do that. Do you know no other religious founder or religious leader around of any other religions around the world ever died for anyone because no one can do it but Jesus there there is something about that and his blood landed on that mercy seat and he redeemed us. So those of us who say according to Romans 10:9 that if you confess Jesus with your mouth and call upon his let me say right I want to quote this correctly. Romans 10:9 that if you confess Jesus with your mouth and believe that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. There is no need to go back to sin. You are freed from sin. And that is what Jesus did on the cross. That is what we celebrate. We celebrate that he rose because he showed himself to over 500 people at one time after the crucifixion. There are so many testimonies and witness testimony and the question is do you believe that he's alive and well? You see Jesus left this earth but he says I won't leave you alone. This is another thing that differentiates Christianity from religion is the fact that there is power through Christianity. Like I said, when you're in your secret place and you're allowing the King of Glory to come through and do battle, when you see the victories, and I tell you, you will, you will be like in a state of shock. And this is why unto the Lord you give the glory because it's his victory. It's by his spirit that he did everything. And so, we stand here patiently waiting knowing that he's still dealing with sin. We know that it's going to come to a completion and it will be eradicated. We know that we can press into the holy hill into his presence. We can come into his presence. We can allow him in. And we know we can take back and be reconciled to the iniquities that we had that caused things to be taken from us, which could have been our health, our finances, could be a demon that we're dealing with in something of some form or another. But God, to God be the glor the glory. To God be the glory. King of glory. He is king of glory. Hallelujah. And this is what we're celebrating this week. I hope that you are blessed by this message. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We bless your word for your word is true and mighty and faithful and glorious. You are awesome, Lord. And we welcome you in to do the battles for us, Father God. because when you do the battle, we have victory. So Lord, we step back, but we allow you to come in and we welcome you into our cities. We welcome you into our family. We welcome you into our homes. We welcome you into our churches. We welcome you into our lives, Father God. And we thank you for the kingdom of God will prevail and have dominion here on this earth now while we wait for you to deal with sin. Hallelujah. Lord, in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye.
