THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS: PERSONAL TESTIMONY

Minister Lisa Kane

October 10, 2024

Lisa Kane opens the message with prayer, acknowledging God’s power and faithfulness. The central scripture is taken from 2 Chronicles 20:15, where God tells King Jehoshaphat, “Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” This biblical foundation demonstrates how God prepared victories for His people even from generations prior, showing His sovereignty over history and present struggles.

Lisa weaves this teaching into a personal testimony concerning her mother’s ongoing battle with cancer and recent medical complications. Despite devastating news and multiple delays in treatment, she testifies to God’s sustaining hand through visions, dreams, and the unwavering faith of her family. These experiences parallel Jehoshaphat’s reliance on God, revealing how the Lord still intervenes on behalf of His people today.

The message also extends outward to the global stage, reflecting on recent natural disasters such as Hurricane Milton, and how prayer played a role in lessening its impact. Lisa stresses the importance of preventive prayer—praying ahead of time against storms, hardships, and attacks of the enemy. She calls believers to pray fervently for Israel, for their families, and against the schemes of the adversary, reminding them that no weapon formed against God’s people shall prosper.

In closing, she reassures listeners that while battles may rage, the ultimate victory is already secured. The war is won through Christ, and God Himself is our shield, buckler, and King of Glory. The message ends with prayer, lifting up personal and collective needs, while declaring confidence in God’s faithfulness and peace.

Objective:

The objective of this message is to encourage believers to place their trust in God when facing overwhelming battles, both personal and global. Drawing from 2 Chronicles 20:15 and supported by personal testimony, the message emphasizes that the struggles we encounter—whether sickness, family trials, or natural disasters—do not belong to us but to God. Through prayer, humility, and steadfast faith, Christians are reminded to stand firm, knowing that victory has already been secured through the Lord.

Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above:

Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this message on Thursday, October 10th, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we lift you up, bless you for you are mighty, you are faithful, you are true and glorious. And we thank you, Father God, for who you are. And we thank you for revealing and showing us who you are. And I thank you, Father God, that we can trust in you to take care of our battles because we already know we won the war. Thank you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. Welcome. I'm glad that you're here. Hey, listen. I'm going to do something a little different today. Now, I'm called to teach and preach the living word of God. Now ordinarily I focus on teaching and that's what I do today. We're going to preach um and I want to share personal testimony with you. So this this uh preaching is called the battle is not yours and it's a personal testimony that I'm going to share here. So let's go to our opening scripture here at 2 Chronicles 20:15. And he said hearken ye all Judah, ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, thou king Jehoshaphat. Thus saith the Lord unto you, be not afraid, nor dispa, nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's. Okay. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to explain the context of that scripture and uh I'm going to preach it and then what we're going to do is I'm going to share a personal testimony of what's going on right now uh not only in our lives but in the world and kind of show you how God is moving because this is incredible. So, today is the day after Hurricane Milton hit Florida. So there's a lot going on and I want to share that with you. So let's get into the scripture here. So we have a foundation because everything God does is through his scriptures. So when he reveals visions or dreams to you, they will always always line up with the word of God. So let's get into why God said this to Jehoshaphat. So it says here in 2 Chronicles 21 20:1 and we're going to be primarily in chapter 20 here in 2 Chronicles. It came to pass after this also that the children of Moab and the children of Ammon and with them other beside the Ammonites came against Jehoshaphat to battle. So Jehoshaphat's a king. We have this uh this group of people that are coming to attack him. Now I want you to see something here because see God connected all this for me. I'm in the book of de Deuteronomy. Started reading it a few days ago and I read little chunks of it. I don't usually go by chapters. I just read chunks of it and I study and and stick with that part of it. So, as I was reading that, so Tuesday night, the revelation of the battle is not yours. And then Wednesday morning with this personal testimony I'm going to share with you, uh you're going to see how this is very accurate and appropriate, how God plans things in advance. So now I want to go to Deuteronomy because we're going to come back to 2 Chronicles here. But look in Deuteronomy 2 chapter uh chapter 2:es 4 and 5. This is Moses. He's saying he the book of Deuteronomy is like um a retelling of everything and summarizing it and showing what the Lord did. Okay. So Moses is writing this is chapter 2:es 4 and 5. and command thou the people, this is the Lord telling Moses, command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren, the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir, and they shall be afraid of you. Take ye good heed unto yourselves. Therefore, meddle not with them, for I will not give you of their land, know not so much as a footreath, because I have given Mount Seir unto Esau for a possession. So now when you come back to 2 Chronicles, you see that Ammon and them are coming back to attack Israel. Jehoshaphat. So it says here, "And the children of Moab, the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites came against Jehoshaphat to Bal." So this remnant that didn't get taken care of by Moses and Joshua back when they came in for the land, all of a sudden here they are now coming after Israel many, many years later. So look what Jehoshaphat does. So whenever you see the enemy coming after you, remember this because I'm going to show you how we're going to apply the scripture here. So, he is a teaching as well, but you're going to see the excitement part of the preaching here. Look at what he does. This is verse three in 2 Chronicles 20. We're going to read all the way to verse 15 because I want you to get the whole uh gist of it. And Jehoshaphat feared and set himself to seek the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together to ask help of the Lord. Even out of all the cities of Judah, they came to seek the Lord. And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the Lord before the new court and said, "Oh Lord God our fathers of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven, and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen and in thine hand? Is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? Art not thou our God who distrive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel and gavest to the gavest it to the seed of the Abra of Abraham thy friend forever and they dwelt therein and have built thee a sanctuary therein for for thy name saying if when evil cometh upon us as the sword judgment or pestilence or famine we stand before this house and in thy presence for thy name is in this house and cry unto thee in our affliction. Then thou wilt here and help. Verse 10. And now behold the children of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt. Remember Deuteronomy, that's what I just read. But they turned from them and destroyed them not. Behold, I say, how they reward us to come to cast us out of thy possession which thou hast given us to inherit. Oh our God, wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us, neither know we what to do, but our eyes are upon thee. And all Judah stood before the Lord with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Then upon Jehaziel, the son of Zechariah, the son of Beniah, the son of Jiel, the son of Mataniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaf, came the spirit of the Lord, in the midst of the congregation. And the spirit said, "Hearken ye all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou, King Jehoshaphat, thus saeth the Lord unto you, be not afraid, nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God." Oh, this is awesome. I want you to see this. I want you to understand that Jehoshaphat became aware th this group of people that was not taken care of back in the days when they came out of the wilderness that they are now having to deal with them. And Jehoshaphat says we don't have the strength to do this. But God said this battle is not yours. I want you to see something. God preset. He set this up back in the day of Moses for Jehoshaphat to show this miracle in his day and his time so it can be recorded so that you and I know how to go before the Lord when the enemy comes attacking us. Now let's go to verse 17 and 18. Ye shall because we got to continue on with what what the Lord is saying. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle. Set yourselves stand ye still and see the salvation of the Lord with you, oh Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not, nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against him, for the Lord will be with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground. And all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the Lord worshiping the Lord. Oh, okay. So now here comes the preaching. I've just read the scriptures. That's all the scriptures I have. I might quote more. You can go do your homework and go check them and and fact check me. I I truly encourage you to do that. So here now notice um Jehoshaphat still is going to go to war with him. He's still going to have to battle. But he's saying the Lord's telling you have this. This is yours. I've given them to you. Don't be afraid. Now go do it. Go take them. They're yours. Now, what I want to do is I want to take uh the rest of this time to really share testimony and show you what is going on in the land because what you just saw in scripture is what is to be applied to what's going on. So, we have a personal attack on our family right now. My mom is in the hospital. She has been fighting cancer now for the last couple of years on and off. Had been cleared. Then it came back. She's had a a a hyerectomy. She's had radiation treat. In fact, her last radiation treatment was the day before we left California and moved to the state of Missouri. So, it the timing and then that that drive here. She never got sick, never had any issues. She's been doing fantastic. And then uh a couple of months ago, they noticed her lymph nodes were a little swollen. So they had to do a biopsy which took two three months. There was the paperwork wasn't written right. So there I want you to see there's a battle going on here. So the paperwork wasn't right. The doctor sent it back. He said it needs to not say ultrasound. Has to say a cat scan. Anyways, so she had the um biopsy done and we've been waiting for the results. I kept telling her October 14th. I kept telling her calling. In the meantime, shortly after having this biopsy, her legs started cramping and she was having some serious issues. So, um, she finally ended up in the emergency room. This was, so today is, uh, Thursday the 10th. Last Thursday, she went into the emergency room and the local hospital here that she was at, um, discovered she had a blood clot, a large one, in her leg. they would have to do surgery to remove it. Now, one of the side effects of this cancer is that you get blood clots. On top of it all, the emergency room doctor had no idea she did not know the results of her test yet and told her the results and felt bad because he didn't know she knew. So in that moment, my mom finding out that she had cancer again, uh the emotional waterworks went off and it was like a you you got these uh blood clots and then this cancer announcement and talk about a onetwo punch, you know, and and I stand in faith, but you know, you still get knocked down and I was knocked down. And it was interesting to see my daughter and my husband actually stand up with faith. And it was so awesome to see them stand up with faith. So that day was tough, but we got over there about I I got to the emergency room about 3:00 that afternoon, visited with mom and got past the waterworks and just saying, "Okay, Lord, this is yours. we have and we started, you know, one of the things that we one of the ways that we cope with these types of things is we actually kind of goof off and joke around, laugh, um remember funny things, which is very good. This is healthy. You want your spirit to be laughing and and be full of joy. You do not want to be down and depressed here. You you've got to really overcome and it is challenging. So, actually, I left because we were much better spirit at that time. I did my shopping, went out to dinner that night. They end up airlifting my mom to Tulsa, Oklahoma. By the way, my mom was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. So, talk about a full complete circle here cycle. So, they airlifted her in a helicopter there. She got to have special privilege treatment. So, she was supposed to have surgery on the blood clot and that kept getting pushed out. Was supposed to be done on that Friday. The doctor had to leave for an emergency. Then, it was supposed to be done Sunday. Then it was supposed to be done Monday, but it got done Tuesday halfway. Apparently, there were so many people who needed this type of service and some were worse in worse condition than my than my mom. My mom was still able to uh get up and walk a little bit. She was still able to move. Uh she did they did find a blood clot in her lung um but it was very uh small. It wasn't impacting her breathing. She was not in a critical but she was stable. So because she was stable, her surgery kept getting pushed out because all these emergencies were coming in. So then she has the surgery uh she had it on Tuesday. They came in and they said uh where the aort splits there, the main aort. That's where they went in. They come in from the right moving their way to the left. The the blood clot, the large one is in her left leg. in that little bit of space. They pulled out so many blood clots that they had to stop the surgery and u because it was too much. And they said that they they're going to resume and do another surgery because she um you know they don't want to lose all her blood and uh you know be a life-threatening situation. So they stop the surgery. They still have not got to the large blood clot. Now I want you to see something here. You see how many blood clots she has? So many. So so much so that this surgery had to be stopped and it's going to be done again. They're scheduling it for Friday. We're now hearing if anyways I don't know if it's going to happen Friday or not. So this was Tuesday and I'm thinking in my mind, wow, that's a lot of blood clots. It didn't go to her heart. I said to my mom before I left Tuesday, we were there at the hospital with her. I told her, I go, "You know what? God's not done with you." I said, "Uh, with that many blood clots, they it's bound to hit her heart." And it didn't. So, that night, Tuesday night, I'm in a Bible study with my old church and uh she's the one who said, "The battle's not yours." And uh we prayed. And while we were praying, and this is actually even praying before she prayed for her, it was just she started praying at the end of the the thing, but it really wasn't the closing prayer, but it was was weird weird. Just this prayer pops out and I have my eyes closed and I'm speaking in tongues and I'm praying and I have this vision and I see arrows. Well, I see my mom's face first and I see these arrows shooting at her. And I see God stand in front of her, taking the arrows, and then I see him lifting her up and holding her, covering her, kissing her, loving on her, letting, you know, just being there comforting her. And I was like, "Wow." You know, so Wednesday morning, I call my mom to tell her that. Well, my daughter Tuesday night had a dream. She wakes up about 3:00 in the morning and she has a dream where we're praying over her and touching her legs and her arms and that everything's being pushed to her stomach and she's vomiting it out and I'm like, "Oh, wow. This, you know, my daughter's telling me this. This is" and she woke up vomiting or, you know, gagging to vomit. So, it's incredible what we just heard from the Lord, which is Psalm 91. So again, anything you hear from the word of God uh in your mind or through a dream or a vision, it always has to land uh line up with the word of God. And I know the prayer that I put in on Tuesday was the same uh scriptures. I I use a scripture and a prayer uh for a quick moment with God here at the House of Faith Ministries. It's something that you can look at every day. I do this because it started that way in my life where I did little small popcorn prayers with scriptures and then my life my faith grew and it changed. So I I put this in here for new believers for uh people who just want to just start off. You just start small with the Lord and that's why I do this. But anyways, that scripture I put up was on um biblegateway.com. My dad happened to read that scripture and he was quoting it to me when we were on our way to go see her on Tuesday. So all of these things were going on. So Wednesday morning, we get up and I'm like I just flat out told I I get over there, we we get to um the hospital room on Wednesday or the Yeah, she's she's admitted she's in a hospital room and we were talking her sharing her with us. We had holy communion. We prayed and I just told her straight up, you are coming home with us. You're it's not your time. You're not done. And and the the battle is not ours. God has already dealt with it. So, we pray and we're continuing to pray and the power of prayer is working. So, I know she's going to come home. It's the same time when my dad was having back problems. I had a dream of him hopping from one side to the other. And I knew he would be healed. Same way I know my mom is coming home with us. It's not her time. In the meantime, the other thing I want to show you on this because I know we're still battling with my mom. pray. I encourage you to pray for her. Pray for the House of Faith Ministries. Pray for each of us because this is a battle, but at the same time, we're at peace now. And I really want you to see, in fact, when I was sharing it Tuesday night, one of the ladies there was shocked at how calm I was sharing this. She said she'd be just in a curled up ball crying. Well, that's how I felt initially. But see, I know somebody who's bigger, better, and stronger than anyone else, and that is God, my father. And by his son, no weapon formed against us shall prosper. By his son, his stripes, we were made whole. This is scriptural. And this is a a spiritual battle that's taking place. So, even though surgeries aren't happening when they're supposed to, even though we know that she has all this, God has her just sitting there waiting for her, holding her together. She's having to lay there. She's walking very little, but God, I know he's going to bring her back. So, now I want to show you all the other things that was going on all at the same time. So like when uh Satan decides to attack, he he attacks in bulk. So just before my mom and this situation happen, my daughter loses her job. My youngest grandson now needs to be homeschooled. It's a whole another story there. But uh lots of things are changing there. My husband, they almost laid him off at work. They had laid off over 700 people from his work. He was not one of them. And uh I told him, I said, "They they value you. You're a very important person there." So it was like we just but these were the things that were going on and now I want you to see some of the physical things around the world that's going on while Hurricane Helen hit over there and hit North Carolina really bad over there. Hurricane John was hitting Aapoco. So you can see both these areas had got hit hard. Then you had this hurricane Milton that hit last night coming in and it was just shy of a category 6 hurricane. You have meteorologists that were crying on TV. One who said that if you do not leave, you will die. But it's weird that that's become spiritual. So I know that I went before the Lord and I said, "Lord, I'm praying for this situation and I'm I'm giving it to you." And I didn't realize how many people had been praying. But that category five, Hurricane Milton dropped to a category three when it hit only shy a little bit of time as a three and it went down to a two. But and in the meantime, it had record 120 plus tornadoes hit. That's incredible. But I want you to see the power of prayer. We may have came to the game a little late with the hurricanes and didn't pray and do the preventive stuff early on, but we got there. And the moment God heard us call to him, he dropped that. And now today, they have blue skies. They're going to have a lot of debris. They got to clean up. And I know that I believe there's loss of life there with the tornadoes. So, I'm just saying though, we can see the hand of God moving here. So, now what I'd like to do is encourage you to begin to pray and do what's called preventive prayer. You see, we have coming up. Understand this. This is just the beginning of sorrows. You can go read Matthew 24. This is just the beginning. We're I don't think the rapture is happening at this time. I know we're past Rashashana, but the we're up to Yam Kapor, the days of atonement. You can see how during this time the devil is attacking because people are repenting. People are coming back to the Lord. I have been praying for different groups of people, the LGBTQ and others, other groups, and I'm seeing through my social media people repenting and coming back to the Lord saying, "I don't want to go to hell." That's I mean, they're just straight out saying it. This is incredible. And then people seeing this weird, and anytime I use the word weird, I think it's spiritual attack of hurricanes. No, no, no. That's the devil. But God says the battle's not yours, but he does want you to pray. What did Jehoshaphat Jehoshaphat do first? He humbled himself before the Lord. Went to the congregation where he knew God resided. And he says, "I know you're the God of Abraham. I know you're real. I know you're here. I'm coming to you." See, you are dealing with whatever battles you're dealing with. And then of course, especially for people in Florida having to recover from being hit by two hurricanes back to back and uh loss of possessions, these sort of things are taking place. But God, see, this is where you go up and say, you know what, Lord, I know you're God and I'm going to be at peace because you have won these battles. We need to keep praying and we need to do preventive prayer. We have to start praying for things that might come. Pray for hurricanes and tornadoes that might come or flooding that might come. We need to be in prayer against that before it gets here. So, it doesn't get here. And we don't have the loss of life and loved ones and that pain and suffering that comes along with the with the devastation or feeling of devastation. and feeling devastated, feeling lonely, feeling depressed. This is the time where we need to pray against all of that. And then we need to be praying, you know, go to the empowering prayer section of the House of Faith Ministries. There's things in there that we pray. We need to be praying for Israel. We need to be praying for Jerusalem. We need to be praying still for the hostages. It's been a year anniversary now since the 7th. So we they and they still hostage after a year. It's incredible. And they have released other hostages. You hear their testimonies. This is a time where like Jehoshaphat, we go before the Lord and say, "Lord, look what the enemy is doing." And when we humble ourselves before the Lord, we need to ask him to forgive us because we mess up all the time, guys. I'm telling you, we need forgiveness. So, just go to him. Ask for forgiveness even for the things you don't even know. Just say, "Lord, forgive me for everything." And then ask him to help you turn your life around so that you are praying effectively, fervently. As you see right up in here, pray fervently. Pray without ceasing. Ceizing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17. We need to be praying. Praying and praying. I can't emphasize this enough. And how do you pray? You can pray anywhere at any time. I think this is one of the reasons why God makes us go to the bathroom. So, we have a moment or two to stop, do what we have to do, and pray.

I am I can't stress this enough. You need to be in your secret place. You need to be putting God first. And and the moment you see an attack coming on, you say, "No, no, no, no. This stops here. This stops now." Like Jehoshaphat, he went before the Lord. I don't know what to do, Lord. I'm I'm at I don't know what to do. And the Lord says, "The battle does not belong to you. I've taken care of it. So, I want you to know that the b the battle does not belong to you. For that matter, the war doesn't belong to you. And for that matter, we've already won the war. Go read the end of Revelation. You will find that the devil, in fact, those of you who are believers, catch us. You can go read it in Revelation. We're going to look, we're going to see the devil being uh arrested and thrown into lake of fire or put chains on him and put away or something like that. H I don't remember if it's before the millennia or after, but you we're going to be looking at him and we're going to be like that little thing and it's going to be a little angel that's going to come deal with him. We have massive big strong angels on our side also

who is fighting our fights for us. He is our shield. He is our buckler. He is the king of glory. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Oh, anyways, let me close in prayer. We're going to pray. I want to pray for my mom. I want you to agree with me in prayer. Let us pray because we have the victory already. That's what dreams and visions are for are to encourage us in those moments where we know he's moved and it's it's scriptural. So, we see the scripture. So, sometimes he just gives us the scripture, but I'm glad for the extra that we got this time. It just builds my faith up. And I'm hoping to give that faithb building love to you. Amen. Amen. Let's close. Father God, Lord, first of all, we lift up every one of our needs before you. And we pray preventively because we are weak. You are strong. And Father God, we pray that we know that you're moving on our behalf. You are our shield and buckler. You are standing in front of us. And so Lord, we give you the glory, the honor, the praise, and the strength for you take care of the battles. You are mighty and you are strong, and we're going to trust in you. So we place all of our needs before you. Whether we're a victim of a hurricane or something else, battle of cancer, whatever it is, we know that you have this, Lord, and the battle belongs to you. So we place it here and we will stand and walk in peace with the anointing of the Holy Spirit because you are God. You are righteous and you have let us know who you are. So we are reminded and we come before you, praising you, honoring you, worshiping you, lifting you up for you are truly king of glory and you have the battle. You have the war and we walk in peace and in comfort. We are filled up with joy, love and peace. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye.
