AT HIS FOOTSTOOL
Minister Lisa Kane
April 16, 2026

Objective:
The objective is to help believers understand the spiritual meaning of “His footstool” through Scripture and personal revelation—distinguishing between being placed under Christ as an enemy versus coming willingly in humility to worship at His feet. This teaching aims to deepen faith, encourage surrender, and lead believers into true worship rooted in humility, agreement with God, and the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Synopsis:
In At His Footstool, Minister Lisa Kane explores a powerful vision and the biblical truth behind the phrase “His footstool.” Drawing from Psalms and Hebrews, the teaching reveals two distinct positions at the feet of Christ: one of defeat as an enemy, and one of surrender in worship.
Through personal reflection and Scripture, Lisa confirms that believers in Christ are not enemies of God, but children redeemed by faith in Jesus. Yet, she challenges the heart posture of every believer by asking: are there moments when disagreement with God places us in opposition to His will?
The teaching unfolds a deeper revelation—true worship at His footstool is an act of humility, agreement, and remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. It is not about striving for salvation, but resting in the finished work of Jesus while honoring Him as King of Glory.
With a powerful insight, the message also reframes the promise that Christ’s enemies will be made His footstool—not just as judgment, but as a potential transformation. Even enemies may be brought into humility, repentance, and worship.
This study calls believers to live low before Him, worship in spirit and truth, and trust that God is drawing all things—even opposition—into alignment at the feet of Jesus.
Inspired Teaching:
Psalm 99:5 NKJV
5 Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His footstool— He is holy.
Psalm 132:8 NKJV
7 Let us go into His tabernacle; Let us worship at His footstool.
Psalm 110:1 NKJV
The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Hebrews 10:12-14 NKJV
12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being [d]sanctified.
Two weeks ago I had a vision of being the footstool and Jesus’ feet upon my lap. I can see the holes and I was weeping.
There are two points to take away from in this vision:
1. Either I am enemy
2. Or I worshipped at His feet
Let’s start with number one. Am I an enemy of God? No. I declare out loud Jesus is the Son of God and He came in the flesh. I also know I am saved because I confessed my sins and I believe.
1 John 4:2-3 NKJV
2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess [a]that Jesus [b]Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
Romans 10:9 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
So, if I’m not an enemy, why would I be under His feet? Because I am not the Son of God and He is King of glory.
Psalm 24:7-8 NKJV
7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.
Notice in our opening scriptures, “let us worship at His footstool”, which is point number two to take away from this Bible Study.
As a believer in Christ, I can come to His footstool and ‘worship’ Him. In the vision I saw the holes in His feet and touched His feet. I can clearly feel His feet. I was worshipping Him in that vision.
What’s the difference between being His enemy at His footstool or worshipping at His Footstool? Your belief. If you don’t believe in Him, you’re not worshipping. Instead, you are fighting everything God is trying to accomplish in your life and in the world.
Now, here is something to think about. Even if you believe, are there areas that you disagree with God on? If so, then you are an enemy in that moment.
I get it…we’re not God and we don’t always understand or know why things happen. Yet, if we can come to His footstool to ‘worship’, humble ourselves before the great deed Jesus did on the cross then we come in agreement with Him through humility. After all, He is the King of Glory.
The idea of being under His feet is the way we should see ourselves always. It certainly will keep pride away and the moments when we think we’re doing something good ‘toward salvation’ when we’re not under the law anymore.
Salvation is a gift and we need to remember His gift and worship in that gift – worship in spirit and in truth.
John 4:24 NKJV
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
And here’s a beautiful golden nugget we can believe on from this Bible Study: “Til I make Your enemies Your footstool” – if worshipping at His footstool is exactly the attitude we need when worshipping, does this mean He’s bringing every enemy to this footstool for this attitude adjustment?
Imagine if our enemies become saved…then they will be at the footstool too but instead of disagreeing and arguing with God, they will be humbled worshipping Him in humility.
Reminder, pray for your enemies. God is working on bringing them to His footstool, and Jesus said He would not lose one.
John 17:12 NKJV
12 While I was with them [e]in the world, I kept them in [f]Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is [g]lost except the son of [h]perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
