THE GOOD SEED
Minister Lisa Kane

Objective:
The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the meaning and significance of Jesus’ parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13. The message aims to show why God allows good and evil to coexist in the world, how the final separation of righteousness and wickedness will occur, and how individuals must choose to walk as children of the kingdom—the “good seed.” The teaching also emphasizes the urgency of repentance, the responsibility of believers to share God’s Word, and the assurance of peace and salvation for those who remain in Christ.
Synopsis:
Lisa Kane, in her message “The Good Seed,” begins with prayer and frames the teaching around Matthew 13:24–30, where Jesus shares the parable of a man sowing good seed in his field, only for the enemy to sow tares among the wheat. She explains the distinction between historical events like Noah’s flood and symbolic parables meant to convey deeper truths.
Breaking down Jesus’ interpretation of the parable (Matthew 13:37–43), she identifies the Son of Man (Jesus) as the sower of the good seed, which represents the children of the kingdom, while the tares represent the children of the wicked one, sown by the devil. The field is the world, and the harvest at the end of the age will bring separation by God’s angels: the wicked will be gathered and cast into the fire, while the righteous will shine in the kingdom of their Father.
The teaching highlights God’s decision-making process throughout history, particularly His choice to preserve humanity after the flood and ultimately redeem mankind through Jesus Christ. It stresses that each person must decide whether to follow righteousness or remain in sin, with eternal consequences.
Lisa calls on believers to urgently warn and intercede for unbelievers, as deception and confusion from the enemy run rampant. She underscores that choosing Christ makes one a child of the good seed, shining with God’s light and destined for eternal life. The message concludes by urging believers to seek first the kingdom of God, walk in righteousness, and continue sowing the Word to bring others into salvation.
Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above:
Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this teaching on Thursday, July 10th, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. I pray, Father God, that we're ready to hear your word and that you set aside all the distractions and that you have us thirst and hunger for your word. That you do bring answers to questions that we have. uh the decision-making process, for example, of letting this world continue on in the condition that it's in after even after Noah's flood. I thank you for showing us your decision-making process. I thank you for showing us uh the answers that we have questions to. Thank you, Father God. And I pray that we do not forget your word. That your word is implanted in our word, in our bodies, in our minds, and that your word manifests that we can just share your word to others around that also have questions and that are thirsty and hungry. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. It's going to be a neat teaching. I I I like this word because it does answer some questions, you know, like why, Lord, why did you decide to not end this? I mean because we've got a lot of evil and evil is very rampant in this world right now today. But it's it it is a question that we have in the back of our minds sometimes. Why do you do this? So anyways, I'm calling this teaching the good seed. And let's start here. We're going to be in Matthew uh 13. And uh before we begin, if you're new, welcome. I appreciate you taking the time. I just teach supplemental teachings to the church. Uh we are just an online ministry. That's all we are. and I just teach what the Bible says and I'm just making certain that the word of God is getting out there because that is heavy on my heart and I want to make sure that the world hears the word of God. Obviously, not everyone is going to listen to me or anything of that nature, but I'm doing my part and I hope that you're doing your part with whatever Christ calls you to do. I'm called to be a teacher and an intercessor, prayer warrior. So, that's what my calling is and I just share that with you all online. Also, if you're new, you're going to see that I present the scriptures in the King James version. It's the closest version to the original text. Also, when you see on the screen uh the black bolded word there, like in this case, parable, that is the original word in the King James version that the translators chose to use when translating that scripture. The words after in parentheses are additional words from the Strong's Hebrew Greek dictionary. In other words, there more words that we could have used in lie of the bolded word if we wanted to. I bring those extra words in because it really brings a depth to the understanding of what the original text was. I rather teach from that perspective than let's say implied uh perspective. I don't want to just give you an an implied uh idea. I want to give you substance from the word of God. Amen. All right. So, we're in Matthew 13. Uh, another parable. Now, the word parable there means similitude, fictitious narrative. So, let's make sure that we understand what a parable is because this is very, very important. You see, Noah's flood is not a parable. That's an actual event that takes place. I know a lot of pastors, a lot of teachers will say, "Let's go to the story of Noah's flood, or let's go to the story of Daniel in the lion's den, uh, or Jonah and the whale." All of those are not stories. They're actual historical events that took place. Well, what Jesus is about to teach us though is a parable. It is something of a like. It's not a true story. It's not an event, but he's telling you something in this parable, and then he's giving the interpretation so that you have an understanding of what it means. So, we're going to go to this parable in verse 24. It says, "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, now Jesus is talking. He says, the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good, beautiful seed in his field." So, good seed is a beautiful seed. And that's what this message is about. We're talking about the good seed. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tears or false grain among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tears also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, "Sir, not thou sew good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tears?" You know, he's saying, "I saw I thought I saw you putting good seed. What happened here? where where this this bad false grain coming from? And so um he said unto them, "An enemy hath done this." The servant said unto him, "Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?" But he said, "Nay, lest while ye gather up the tears, ye root up also the wheat with them." And then verse 30, "Let them let both grow together until the harvest. And in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tears, and bind them in bundles to burn them. but gather the wheat into my barn. So, this is a parable. Now, I didn't bring all the scriptures in here about all of this. But one of the thing you can do is go and read chapter 13 and get all of the in between stuff because it's going to kind of help you understand this a whole lot better. So, what you want to do is you want to look at uh what he's talking about. And he he goes into actually a few different parables that he's all all these parables are talking about the same thing the the same thing he's liking it to. He's saying this is what this is like and he's going to show you. So now I'm going to go start reading the scriptures where he's translating the parable to the disciples because the you know the disciples had asked him why are you speaking to them in parables and Jesus answers I give you the answer because to you is given the mystery the revelation of the word. Anytime that you and I are believers in the scripture we have the blessing of understanding what Jesus was trying to explain. Uh, I'll tell you this much. Theologians want to know. They can't know unless they got a relationship with Jesus. They won't understand this. It It's like there's a blinder in front of them and they can't understand it. But we're given the permission to understand. I have a relationship with the Lord. And in First John 4, it tells us to test the spirit. I declare that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he came in the flesh and died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later. That means I am of God. I walk with God. I work with God. I teach with God. So now that that is established, let us go and look at what Jesus was trying to explain here. Amen. So now the explanation comes because the disciples asked him to explain this parable. So now we're down in uh we're still in Matthew 13, but we're in verse 37. He answered and said to them, "He that sweth the good seed is the son of man." Now, I want you I'm going to break this down as we go scripture by scripture. Son of man. Who is the son of man? Jesus. Jesus is the son of God who entered into his creation and became a man. Now he is also the son of man. So Jesus has a body. He now died on the cross. He has a body. Before he became the son of man, he was the son of God and he was in spirit. He's the one who said, "Let there be light." And there was like back in Genesis, you can go read Genesis 1 1-4 and and John chapter 1:es 1 through 2 and it will tell you who Jesus was in the beginning and that he did become the son of man. So here he's saying that he's the one who's sewing the good seed. You see, he's the gospel. He is the embodiment of the word of God. Jesus is the word and he became the son of man, the light of the world. He brought us salvation. He's the one that chooses to forgive us because again, you know, when they when uh God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit got together and talked about the flood and deciding to use the flood, they found righteous man, one righteous man, Noah, and then his family was covered under that righteousness. God made a decision to continue and let the world continue to live on in spite of how bad sin got just before the flood because there was only one righteous man left when the flood happened and God called Noah righteous. So with that, he decided to keep going. That's amazing because in all reality there was so much sin. It was awful. It was bad. And he was down to one righteous man. Could he have converted anyone else? It sounds like no. So God had to make a decision here. You're going to see that decision made in this parable. I think this is fascinating because it's it's like, well, why did he decide to do that? Let's continue on. The field is the world. The good seed are the children of the kingdom. So the field is the world. That's every this whole wide world. Okay. And then the good seed are those of us who choose to believe in Jesus. We're the sons of the good seed. We are children of the kingdom. We are part of the kingdom of God. We're the one who walk with Christ in his authority by declaring the name of Jesus over whatever it is or declaring that Jesus is Lord over whatever the circumstance circumstances is are. I have done a lot of teaching on that. So he's identifying in this parable, you who are the good seed are the children of the kingdom. And then he says, but the tears are the children of the wicked one. There's a wicked one. And that means these are children who work wickedness, evil. They're just doing everything bad. They don't choose good, they choose bad. They're walking in unrighteousness. They are walking in sin. and to some deliberately walking that way. And he says the enemy that sowed them is the devil. So now you know that those that walk in wickedness are those who are children of the devil. They Jesus clearly is identifying who these people are. They are the children of the devil. Those of us that walk in truth, righteousness, and walk in with Christ, we're children of God. And big distinct difference between truth. You got two groups of people that are here. Says the harvest is the end of the world. So at the end of the world, we're going to be harvested. Righteous are going to be taken and separated. Evil is going to be taken and separated. And he goes into more detail about that. Look at this. The harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels. So we know that the angels are going to come and they're going to reap. They're going to separate the tears, the evil from the good. Let's continue on. Verse 40. As therefore the tears are gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be in the end of this world. Look at that. As therefore the tears are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. Tears the evil ones. So once the the wheat grows, you can see a distinct difference between good wheat and bad wheat. Tears and wheat. The tears look different. They're going to be it it's an an uglier color. They're going to look older. They're weak. But Jesus had decided to let them both grow together. And they're here. So, the angels are going to come and separate them. Now, he didn't want to separate them right away. Watch. Let's let's continue reading because I want to get this all in here. The son of man shall send forth his angels. They shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity. So, they're going to come through and they're going to grab all the tears first. Uh they're going to grab all the the evil and they're going to separate. There is a separation that takes place here. You're going to have those that offend. Those are walking in sin. Sin is an offense. Also, sin is a separation from God. So, when you walk that way, you will be separated and you will be burned. You're going to see that here in just a moment. And the others are going to be separated and they're going to be light. Let's continue on. Says, "And shall cast them." And this is talking about the tears. The ones who have offended shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and nashing of teeth. So let's pause here. So and remember this is a parable of a like of what God is saying is going to happen. Now he's saying there is a furnace that's going to burn up all of these evil people that are walking in offense. They did not turn their lives around. They did not repent. They did not choose good. They chose evil. If you're one of those that are watching this, it's now time to repent. And you need to do that and and turn your life around. You're going in the wrong direction. You're heading to a furnace. And it's very clear that this furnace exists. Hell is real. That is not a parable. It is a an actual location. And those who continue to sin will end up burning in hell lake of fire. It's not meant for you to go there. But you will go there because you're not choosing God. Because the only other choice you have is God. And if you're mad about that, too bad. He created you. He's your creator. And you need to humble yourself before him. Choose him because he is good. And if you choose goodness, you choose righteousness. you repent and say, "I rather walk with Jesus and acknowledge that he did come down on the cross and died for us, that he pardoned us, that he redeemed us, that he put his blood and paid for our sins." The moment you believe in that, your life changes and now you're on the good seed side. You are of good seed. So, you still have a chance to repent and become part of the good seed. I will tell you the end of the age is coming and it is coming very very quickly and there is a high probability and in fact I want to say 99.9% chance that this is going to happen in our lifetime. This is where we're headed. Uh as you can take a look at things that are going on in the world. You can take a look at what unbelievers and you can look at their the the way that they look at things. They're very um under a strong delusion and they choose to believe the lie over the truth. They're so confused. Satan does that. He's the author of confusion. So, he brings in all this confusion so that you wouldn't believe that God is God and that Jesus is the son of God. He does that to manipulate and lie to you. Well, Jesus is telling us this is what's going on. And he says, "There's an end that's coming and we're going to harvest and you're going to have to pull out the bad and you're going have to pull out the good and you're going to have to separate." The angels are going to do the separation. We're going to be separated. So the angels are going to have that's part of their job. Now might be not angels that come out and do messaging type of the word angel means messenger. Uh it's probably a heavenly creature that's very similar to what an angel is. uh we call them angels because that's the term we've used for them all these years because they are messengers from other worldly area the heavenly realm. Well, okay, now we're just we get to see that they have another job. Not just telling us a message, they're going to separate us. That's what Jesus is showing us in this parable. Let's continue on. Uh so there's going to be wailing and nashing of teeth. And look at verse 33. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the son in the kingdom of their father. Who hath ears to hear? Let him hear. Notice the sun. S U N. So this is a bright shining light. Then shall the righteous shine forth. So we're going to shine forth when we're separated. See the tears are darkness. They are a they darken everything around it. They mute everything. They dim everything around it. And right now, uh, where wheats and tears were muted, were dimmed. But the moment those tears are removed and separated from us, they're going to be burned in the fire, our light lights up even more. We become very bright, shining. This is those that are of the good seed. Now, this is a parable, but he's also explaining what's going to happen at the end of the age. Let's continue on and look at uh 1 John 3:7-10. Little children, let no man deceive or seduce you. He that doeth righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous, innocent, holy. You see, we have a decision to make. Do you want to be an evil tear or do you want to be a good seed of righteousness believing in the son of man, the son of God, Jesus, our holy savior? You have a choice. which way do you want to go? And for those of you who have been following for quite a while and you're a believer in Christ, we need to be urgent to let our loved ones, family members, friends who do not believe, we need to tell them what's coming. And if they continue to fight, that's between them. They're being deceived. They're being confused by the author of confusion, the devil, which I've already mentioned. He is confusing them. So they're deceived. So we the light need to keep exposing the lies. Continue to show them. Continue to pray for them and say, "Lord, save these people. Help them. Pray for them in the secret place." And what happens in the secret place? It gets shined or shown out in manifestation in the open. And that and and they know it. Your family will know when you're praying for them. They will know. I've seen it. I in my own family they know. So this is a time to humble yourself and get right with God. Spend some time with him. He is returning and he will be throwing those weed the excuse me the tears into the burning fire where there will be wailing and nashing of teeth. They're going to be so angry and in pain and they're going to think no we should not be. If you do not want to believe that Jesus Christ is our creator and son of God that came to die for us and pardon us, why should you be allowed into a place that you don't want to go to? See, your inside tells you you want to go there, but you don't want to follow the rules. It's like illegal immigration. You rather jump the wall and come into the goodness of everything. have the goodness but not pay the dues for the goodness. Did you know that heaven has walls? Yeah. So the nashing of teeth and wailing and the fire is outside of those walls. They can see in but they cannot touch. They cannot come in to get to heaven. Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except through me." You have to believe Jesus. Your name needs to be written in the the lamb's book of life. You have to have that. That's you paying your dues to say, "I rather enter into heaven and be there. I do not want to go to the lake of fire. I do not want to burn in the furnace. I'm not I don't want to be a wheat. I would ch I rather choose to be a child of righteousness." You know, Queen Victoria, she chose to be good. And she had a beautiful kingdom that lasted her a long time because she chose to do good. So when you choose to do good and you choose that you will have a beautiful life that the Lord will grant you. Yes, we know that the disciples and the apostles were all executed except for John um the beloved at the end. They were all beheaded or killed on the cross or you know they were martyed. But the here's the truth of the matter though. We have God's peace. You know, I've seen people walking uh through the news, just walking to go be martyed, singing hymns, praising the Lord. They're such a peace that is absolutely incredible. You see, it doesn't matter what happens in this world when you become a believer, when you choose to walk in righteousness, when you choose and finally understand the love of Jesus and what he did on the cross when he saved us. When you finally get that, it's nothing else matters. What matters is my eyes are fixed on my future where I'm going to be glorified in his presence at peace because I choose righteousness and I'm hoping to get as many tears converted to wheat as possible. This is why I do what I do. This is why I teach what I teach. Verse eight, he that committh sin offense is of the devil. For the devil sinnth from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. You see, here's another point of what Jesus decided to do. You see, at the time of the flood, he could have stopped everything and said, "I'm done with man." But he loved us so much that he says, "You know what? I'm going to go be their redeemer and I'm going to get a human body male. And that's exactly what he did. He was born of a virgin and he came and he chose to do that to save. That was his choice. He decided to let us grow together and let every person have the choice like he did to decide which side do we want. Do we want to follow the devil or do we want to follow Jesus? That's what he decided. That was his decision at the time of destroy the world and just get rid of it and start over or do whatever else or shall he try to save it? He chose to save it. And I'm so grateful for that. Think of it. I wasn't born back then. I would not even be alive had he not made the decision to even wait 2,000 years after uh his crucifixion. I'm here because of him. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. And it says here, "Whosoever is born," that word born there means procreate, regenerate of God, does not commit sin. For his seed remainth in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God. You see the parable Jesus said, "The good seed is we're sons of the kingdom. We're children of his kingdom and we choose God." And that's the seed that remains in us. And we cannot sin because we are born of God now. We have changed. We are born of God. We're no longer a part of sin. Oh, hallelujah. Verse 10. In this, the children of God are manifest. We're shining. And notice, you know, here we are shining. We shine brighter than the tears that are around us. We're still muted. We're still dim, but we are shining brightly. And this is another thing is as soon as you start telling people about Jesus, they know the truth and they recognize it. Oh, hallelujah. In this, the children of God are manifest shining. And the children of the devil, whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. You see, the fruit is going to tell us right away who you are. You don't love your brother. You want to hurt him. You're backstabbing him in whatever situation you can take. That tells us you don't believe in God. You're not a child of God at that point. As a child of God, we walk in good right standing. We do not want to hurt anyone. We want to save as many as we can. Oh, hallelujah. Let's go back to Matthew 13. Look at verses 51 and 52. Jesus saith unto them, "Have you understood all these things? Have you put it together? Have you comprehended?" They said unto him, "Yeah, Lord." This is very important to understand. Do you understand that there is an end of the age that is coming and there is going to be a separation of good and evil and that the evil is going to be put into a burning furnace and they're going to burn. There will be nashing and wailing of teeth and that the good is going to shine brightly because they've chosen Jesus as their son of God, as their believer, as their savior. That is very important that we understand. And if you understand it as a believer, you need to help others understand so that they're not deceived, uh, seduced by the devil, manipulated by the devil, not be, uh, under that strong delusion. We need to continue to one, pray in the spirit for them, and two, we need to be there for them to answer their questions because the Lord is working on them. They're thinking about it. Just we got to hope that they think about it quickly. Amen. And then look what he says here in verse 52. Then said he unto them, therefore every scribe which is instructed, that's a a pupil disciple unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. Let me explain. That is like me taking up my calling to get as many saved as possible. I hope this word goes out there. I hope people listen to it, but I understand if they don't. I just pray and continue to pray and hope for these people to get saved. And I do my part of it. I try to teach it so that you understand. I try to explain it so that you know. And if you take a look at my life as an example and you go through the history of all the teaching, I got a lot of teachings in here from goes back from uh well I did uh written teaching back in 2013, but I started uh vlogging in 2017. So I've been doing this for a long time now. You can see the change the change that's happened within myself, the changes in my life. The Lord has blessed us richly. I choose God and I choose to walk with him and I hope that you do the same. I choose to put first God. You know, Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God." So, I'm seeking first by teaching. I want to make sure that uh you all hear the kingdom of God's message. You hear the word of God. You hear the pardon, the redemption because it's such treasure. Having Jesus is a beautiful treasure that I hold in my hands, but I don't want to keep it secret. I want to show you now. People are going to get jealous and angry because I'm holding on to this beautiful gem of redemption and it is blessing me because I am blessed richly because of it. Not just financial blessing, but at peace. I've got such a peace. I have such a solid rock of foundation on the name of Jesus and his salvation that I stand here and I can declare the name of Jesus and know that he is there with me in everything. I hold hands with him. I talk with him. He talks to me through his word. I hear it. This is a blessing. So seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. I choose be right standing. I choose to walk in the goodness. I don't want to walk in evil. I don't want to be a wheat that or a tear that's pulled out and burned in a furnace. No, I choose God. I choose his righteousness. And then says Matthew 6:33 to finish the scripture. All these things will be added unto you. The whole scripture reads, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added into you. This is why I can walk in peace. This is why I can stand here and know that I'm healed. know that I'm delivered and know that I have no enemies coming after me that will prevail because when they try to attack, I quote the scripture. No, the gates of hell will not prevail against the church and I'm part of the church. That's how I know where I stand. And I pray over myself every day. I pray over every person I am praying. I'm in constant prayer because I choose good righteousness. I am of the good seed and I hope that you are of the good seed as well and that you procreate. Let your seed, Jesus seed, continue to fall around you. Let that word manifest and let's grow and bring more fruit and bring more harvest in so that they're not going to the furnace. Amen. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Lord Jesus, I just pray that people hear this word. Even read it. Just read it. They don't have to listen to my message. I just pray that they read it, understand it, and see and know that you are the son of God. That you have redeemed us. And I ch I pray that they choose to walk with you and that they choose to become part of the good seed that you have offered us. Lord, thank you. Thank you for your word. Let it not uh let us not forget it. Let us hold and cling on to it and let us have the urgency to share that word with others. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I'll see you in the next teaching. Bye-bye.
