Top of Page The Deliverance Ministry BINDING AND LOOSING Matthew 18:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Say what you will, but Jesus is clearly talking about the awesome power that He has given to everyone that believes in Him. What is this power, and how does it work? First we need to understand that this power is a spiritual power that transcends all physical limitations—that is the good news, the bad news is that since the nature of this power is spiritual, those who are carnally minded have no clue as to how it is to be implemented. Understanding how this power works, and how to implement it, will radically change the lives of every believer that masters the how-to of this awesome gift from God. Since the source of this power is spiritual, we need to have a working understanding of how spiritual energy is released. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (giving energy).” The source of all life giving energy is in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful (energy)…” The first rule of binding and loosing is that words must be spoken which are in agreement with the Word of God. A different rendering of our opening text is this: Whatever you bind on earth having been bound in heaven. This is the translation that many scholars of the original Greek believe is more accurate for this text. And it makes more sense, since we are called to enforce the Word of God here on this earth, and we know from Scripture that the Word of God is forever settled in heaven. So that whatever has already been settled in heaven is the very thing that we are to declare here on this earth. Which brings us to the nuts and bolts of this foundational principle. The disciples noticed that Jesus spent a lot of time in prayer and that His prayers were always answered. Which prompted them to ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. Luke 11:2 “So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The key to binding and loosing is in knowing what God’s will is in whatever situation we are praying for. For example, we know that God is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. If I am praying for someone’s salvation—be it a family member, a friend, or a foe—I can bind the spirit of unbelief that is hindering them from receiving the revelation knowledge that will bring them to God’s salvation. No body gets saved unless a believer is praying for them, but not everybody that is being prayed for gets saved, because of their unbelief. That is where binding the spirit of unbelief can make all the difference. When we pray for someone’s salvation, we are loosing the conviction of God’s Spirit over them so that they will realize that they have a need to be saved. But some people have been bound by an unbelieving spirit that does not allowed them to see their need. After we bind the spirit of unbelief that has them bound, they will be free to believe. If you have a love one, or even an enemy, for whose salvation you’ve prayed and nothing has happened yet, add to your prayer for their salvation this prayer for binding the spirit of unbelief over them: Pray this out loud: I bind, in the name of Jesus, the spirit of unbelief that is preventing (name the person that your are praying for) from receiving the conviction of the Holy Spirit that will allowed him/her to be saved. If God was willing to violate the free will that He has given to all mankind, we would not have to bind or loose anything. The devil is the deceiver—who comes in unawares—and steals man’s ability to receive God’s salvation by binding them with unclean spirits. But to those who have accepted the Word of Truth, power has been given to demolish all these demonic strongholds that keep people bound. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” The second rule of binding and loosing, is in the power of agreement, not just with the Word that is forever settled in heaven, but with one another who are like-minded in our beliefs as well. When we speak in agreement with the Word of God in heaven, we are enabled to bind and to loose things here on earth. But when we add the power of agreement with one another, Jesus is in our midst. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” It is obvious that the devil’s influence affects the masses as well as the individuals. So that as individuals we can pray binding and loosing over those who are within our sphere of influence, but as members of the church we can corporally pray for entire communities and even nations. How does it all works? Everything that God made, He made through the power of His spoken Word. Everything that exists today, it is maintained and sustained by the power of His spoken Word. Unlike animals, we humans were created with the ability to reason and to believe on that which is literal and which can be propagated through the spoken word. 2 Corinthians 4:13 “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” When we speak by faith in accordance with the written Word of God, we release the energy that is both able to restrain and to let go that which has already been settled in heaven according to the Word of God. First we need to know the written Word that applies to our circumstance, then we need to speak that Word that is in agreement with the heavenly testimony—by faith believing that as we do so—the energy needed to transform our circumstance has been properly allocated and will accomplish the task for which we sent it out. Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth: It shall not return to Me void, but is shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Notice how God is referring to the Word that goes forth from His mouth, that which He spoke; and also that sometimes it requires a process to take place before that which He spoke comes to pass, since prosperity is a process that sometimes takes time. When we by faith bind or loose anything in accordance with the Word of God, we need to rest in the fact that the energy has already been released and the process started, that will eventually bring about the desire results. Remember that we are dealing with spiritual entities when we are binding and loosing. Angels as well as demons are spiritual creatures whose none-physical bodies are made of energy and respond to the energy that governs them, which is the Word of God, and to those who by faith speak it. Jude 9 “Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you!’” Remember that it was through the Word, that God created everything that exists, be it physical or spiritual. So that everything must submit to the power of the Word of God, which resides in our Lord Jesus Christ.” John 16:24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy maybe full.” So that when we bind and we loose in the name of Jesus—by faith in His written Word—we are enforcing His Word over our physical realm, by exercising the dominion that Adam lost, but which Jesus has restored to us in His name, in this present age. The third rule of binding and losing has to do with us walking in the freedom that the forgiveness of our Lord has brought into our lives. Matthew 18:27 “Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.” Notice that at the point of salvation—delivered from a debt that we could not possibly pay—we were released, and enabled to release others that were in debt to us as well. Failure to release those who are indebted to us, puts us back into a place of bondage, powerless to free ourselves or others. Matthew 18:33-35 “Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Notice how our Lord brings it down to the very personal level of if each of you fail to do this. Let’s examine this closer, why does the penalty seem so harsh for one single violation of this principle? Remember that we are dealing with spiritual power that is given to us in order to restrain spiritual entities, it can in no way be used against or to control human people, but the demons that drive them. At the point of our salvation, the Lord forgave us all our trespasses and released us from all our sins. Then He gave us His name and the authority to bind and to loose spiritual entities on behalf of those who are still bound by the enemy. If we are not willing to forgive those who sinned against us, then we are still in the flesh, and not in the spirit. We have authority over nothing. Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes (through binding and loosing), in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Let us come in full agreement with the Word of God, let us speak by faith the word that binds the spirits and that looses the hindering darkness, and by all means make sure that we hold nothing against our humankind. Top of Page Top of Page EMPOWERING PRAYERS PRAY FOR THOSE THAT REBEL, REBUKE, CHOOSE EVIL ON PURPOSE, STEAL, KILL, DESTROY, and/or BLASPHEMY THE HOLY SPIRIT Written by Minister Lisa Kane 12.31.23 SAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD: ​ Mighty Heavenly Father, ​ I lift up those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit to Your throne room and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as them well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit, the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” ​ I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” ​ And Heavenly Father, I bless those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” This gives them another opportunity to repent. ​ I atone on their behalf by saying the following: I stand in their shoes and lift their hands and my hands to the Heavenly Father saying, Lord, forgive us our sins, come into our hearts, and be our Lord and Savior as Romans 10:9 KJV says “9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” For I choose to believe on behalf of my family, in-laws, and up to my fourth cousins in the Name of Jesus, the Son of the Living God. ​ And for those that continue to blasphemy the Holy Spirit per Matthew 12:31-32 KJV “31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come” then let them not be forgiven. Bind them with cords so tight, they cannot breathe, and place them in their sickbeds until they choose to repent. Remove their foundation of whatever support they lean on. Remove whatever finances they depend on and expose their beliefs of lies and frauds to them in hopes they would see and hear to believe. But do not let evil propagate or be fruitful for the gates of hell will not prevail. Matthew 16:18 KJV “18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” ​ And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. ​ We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” ​ In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen! Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY SPIRITUAL DARKNESS Matthew 6:23 “But if your eye is bad (evil, or in poor condition), your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” There are some great insights about spiritual darkness in our opening verse. First Jesus tells us that the condition of our spiritual eyes is critical for the wellbeing of our entire body. The great second insight that I find is when Jesus refers to the darkness in an individual as if the light that is in you is darkness, referring to darkness as a type of light. ​ Let us deal first with the spiritual condition of the eyes for they have a direct effect on the body, be it positive or negative. 1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” There are three major unclean spirits that work together to bring the entire person into spiritual darkness, these three spirits work in tandem in order to suppress and/or to pervert the higher calling of God for man. Since we are all descendants of Adam whose flesh was corrupted by the spirit of the lust of the flesh, all of us humans are born with the spirit of lust within us, also known as selfish-ambition, so that the propensity for sin is already in us. But thankfully God has blessed us with cognition, we are born with the natural ability to understand right and wrong, so that when we are tempted by our selfish desires, we have built in discernment that allows us to weigh out the possible consequences of our actions. The lust of the eyes is an external spirit, always operating from the outside trying to get in, in order to do so it has to connect with its kindred spirit, the spirit of the lust of the flesh that dwells in the inside and who is able to open the door to the external spirit that wants to come in. A bad spiritual eye, or an eye that is evil, is in no condition to recognize the spirit that lurks behind the temptation that its being tempted with, so that it cannot fully weigh the consequences of its indulging in the lust that its being offered. A good eye will always caution the person as to what is really at stake if it proceeds to indulge in the temptation. A good example would be that of a person being offered drugs for the first time; the temptation is the experience of a very personal internal high that is attained through the intake of external things, like the ingesting of drugs that alter a body’s normal functions. The effects of the drugs eventually wear out, but the spirit behind it stays in, and it becomes the force that eventually compels that person to continuously seek another, and another external fix to which it becomes addicted. A person with good spiritual eyes has the ability to weigh properly the consequences of its actions. Spiritual vision is the ability to foresee that which at the present is invisible. Let me use the same example, let’s say that a person is offered drugs for the first time, who is aware of the ruinous consequences that drugs can have in a person’s life, no matter how alluring that temporary high may sound, a person in the right frame of mind would immediately say; it is not worth it! Matthew 6:22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good (clear or healthy), your whole body will be full of light (full of a clear and healthy understanding).” Our inabilities to understand the spiritual consequences of our actions is what plunges us into the realm of spiritual darkness. The lust of the eyes is always hard at work to deny the reality of the truth so that it can join forces with the spirit of the lust of the flesh. But there is a third spirit whose work keeps in bondage those who fell into the original deception. So that those who were originally deceived are now kept in the chains of darkness by its power, this spirit has to be defeated if they want to be made free again. Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Now we are dealing with the third and most deadly of the three, the spirit of the pride of life and it resides deep within the heart of man. It is the folly of a man that ensnares him, but it takes his pride to keep him bound. When a man replaces the light of sound judgment with the darkness that he calls light, because he is too proud to admit that he did wrong deep in his heart, that type of blindness is what is called spiritual darkness. I've been using common illustrations to portray spiritual realities here, but it is not sins or addictions that we are dealing with in this lesson, but rather, the issues here are, light which represents God’s enlightenment, and darkness which is represented by the pride of the wisdom of man. We are in the midst of spiritual warfare, there is an ensuing battle that has raged on for thousands of years, this war is being fought by the forces of darkness against the forces of light. It is not fought with carnal weapons, it is a fight between truth and lies, our mightiest of weapons is the truth of the Word of God which always defeats the lies of the enemy. Those who walk in spiritual darkness are prisoners of war who have been taken captive by the devil to do his will. Those who walk in the spiritual enlightenment of the Word of God are like mighty warriors who conquer the strongholds of the enemy and set the captives free. Who are the captives? Ephesians 4:17-18 “This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their (spiritual eyes) heart.” In times of war there should be no room for pride for it is pride, the pride of man, that blinds the human heart to the wisdom of God’s Word. The pride of a religious mindset can blind its followers to the truth of God’s Word. The pride of religious traditions can blind the minds of its followers to the truth of God’s Word. The pride of religious status, commonly known as the praise of man, can blind the minds of its recipients to the truth of God’s Word. Anything that has been corrupted, of which we are a part of somehow, if we fail to recognize the corruption and do not make every effort to alienate ourselves from it, will surely cause our minds to be blinded to the truth of the Word of God, and we do not want that. Ephesians 5:6-8 “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now your are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.” Here is what I am trying to say, stay away from compromise; spiritual darkness makes its bed in compromise, and once in it your sleep will be nothing but nightmares of darkness and gloom. Is there compromise between light and darkness? How about between truth and lies? When is it okay to discard the wisdom of God for the counsel of man? But yet people do it everyday, I have to believe that it is because they have no clue as to what the will of God is for their lives. Ephesians 5:17 “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” If we walk in the light as He is in the light then we have fellowship with one another, according to 1 John 1:7 But how can we have fellowship with those who walk in spiritual darkness? You see the predicament that walking in spiritual darkness puts the body of Christ in. But the promise is that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from that foul spirit of the pride of life that keeps so many in bondage. 2 Corinthians 7:1 “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” We cannot cast out the spirit of the lust of the flesh that is attached to our natural selfish desires, so that we will always face temptations while in our mortal bodies. But if we are fully aware of the consequences of giving into the spirit of the lust of the eyes, it makes it easier for us to reject the temptations knowing that we do not want to be in spiritual darkness. Remember that the focus of this teaching is not about our everyday struggles with the flesh, This is a lesson about the spiritual warfare that we are engaged in. In this lesson we are exposing the spirits that want to contaminate your faith by making this a carnal fight. Our bodies already died with Christ on the cross, this is a battle for truth, the truth of the Word of God. It is the enlightenment that comes from the truth that makes the captives free. If you have fallen prey to any of the many facets of the demonic doctrines of man’s wisdom, do not walk in pride, admit that you were deceived and refuse to walk in darkness anymore. Reject compromise and stand in the truth of the Word of God and the truth of God’s Word will be your vindication. Nail the spirit of the pride of life to the cross and it will never bother you again as long as you keep your eyes on Jesus. 1 John 2:5 “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS CHRIST IN YOU, THE MYSTERY. Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” In our previous lesson, Visible and Invisible, I commented that the number one rule in understanding how the physical and invisible creation interacts was The Word, for it is written: Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” ​ So that not only do all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in God’s Word, but they also abide in The Word that became flesh! ​ Colossians 2:9 “For in Him (The Word that became flesh: Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” So that according to our opening text, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord have residing within us already all these treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:10 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” But notice carefully how Paul describes it in our opening text, Christ in you the hope of glory. What that basically means is that a great gift has been given to all of us who believe, and that within all of us who believe in Christ, resides the potential to access those hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now from the scientific point of view what that means is that we, those of us who believe in Christ, have been given the power by faith in the name of Jesus to manipulate the basic elements that comprise all matter. So that when Paul writes to us that in Christ we have the hope of glory, what he means is that in Christ we have the grounds to expect the manifestation of that which is invisible to us, or another way of saying it, that which seems impossible to us in the natural. So that true faith is based on the real evidence of something that already exists in the invisible or spiritual realm called heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Scripture tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, Christ in us gives us the hope of accessing that healing that God has already released and loosed in heaven, to come to reality here in our physical confine if we can by faith release it here on the earth where it is needed. Why do these healings do not take place all the time? Why don’t they become a reality as they should on behalf of those of us who believe? Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Notice the phrase according to the basic principles. A basic principle is a foundational law that governs a realm. There are laws or principles that govern the physical realm, and there are laws or principles that govern the spiritual realm. In the physical or visible realm, the basic law that permeates everything is entropy, because in our physical world everything eventually dies, for all that is visible is passing away. In the spiritual invisible realm however the basic law that permeates everything is the law of life, which is the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die (entropy), even so in Christ all shall be made alive (deliverance from entropy, that is our blessed hope).” Those who operate according to the basic principles of the world cannot produce life, so that the healing that is needed does not come to pass on their behalf. However those who operate according to the basic principles of Christ, receive the healing needed to continue with a good and abundant life, for they are following the proper protocol. Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (the invisible spiritual realm), not on things on the earth (the visible physical realm).” Let us ask these two simple questions and then a third: where does sickness come from? And where do healings come from? Sickness comes from the past and healings come from the future age that is to come! Now let me ask one more question, where does the past and the future come together? The answer to the third question is in Christ, for He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He has borne our sicknesses and diseases, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities which is where all sicknesses came from, that answers the first question. Now here is the answer to the second question. Hebrews 6:5 “And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” Every healing that Jesus performed He brought from the future age that is to come; for it is written in Scripture that in the future every knee will bow and that every tongue will confess, that every eye will see Him, and that in Christ all shall be made alive. Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Now we understand from science that in the invisible world of sub-atomic particles which form all the things which are visible, that these sub-atomic particles exist in two different places at the same time, that is they transcend time and space. So that if our sicknesses are caused by past sins and iniquities that oppress us in the present, we can summon through the Word of God, the powers of the age to come and remedy whatever situation we face, if we dare to believe that with God nothing is impossible. Matthew 17:20 “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Now let us think about a literal mountain, if Jesus spoke to a high mountain and told it to move from here to someplace else, what would be the mechanics involved? Well we have an answer from nature! Every minute tons of water evaporate from the world’s oceans, move themselves away from there and travel to far away places where they come down as rain or snow, literally tons and tons of them fall back down to earth every minute somewhere in the world. What are the mountains made of? Sub-atomic particles that are held together by an invisible force, and in the same way that the sub-atomic particles that forms the waters that are in the oceans and are disbanded and made to fly away and then to come together again someplace else, the Word of the Lord has the same power to influence the dirt that forms the mountains or anything else, even the living things. Psalm 97:5 “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” What I am trying to do here is to encourage your hope in the Word of God, for the Word of God is a lot more real than anything that exists within our physical realm. The entire world system is designed to get people away from trusting in the hope of glory that we have in Christ, but if you are in Christ do not be cheated out of your inheritance in the light by going back into trusting in the basic principles of this world. Colossians 2:20 “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (things that perish with the using and which are not eternal like the promises of God are).” Back to Other Teachings

Top of Page Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS The Battle (Skirmish) & The War Written by Lisa Kane 6/26/21 I’m sure you understand what the difference between a battle and the war is but just in case, the battle are small skirmishes in the war and the war is the overall event. For example, the battle of Gettysburg was a battle within the Civil War. Some battles affect the outcome of the war and others have little impact but are important, nonetheless. The same is true for a believer. We deal with battles or skirmishes in our everyday lives but we are in an overall war. I asked myself, why are we in a war and what is this war we’re in? Sneak peak, if you’re on God’s side, you win the war. Revelation 20:10 NKJV 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Notice, I said if you’re on God’s side. So far, now we know, we need to choose a side…again, why? Do you know why you’re in this war? It’s likely you don’t and this message will help you understand the larger picture and I hope it changes your paradigm, thinking of what being a Christian means. And it begins in Genesis. Before we continue, I need to clarify ‘confusion’ related to Genesis chapters 1 and 2. There are not two Adam’s and there are not two Eve’s, etc. Chapter 1 is a supply list of what God creates and chapter 2 clarifies what He put into action. Think of it like this…if you plan to build a house, or fix a car, or create a quilt, you need all your supplies before you begin but it doesn’t become a house, or a fixed car, or a quilt until it’s put together or ‘completed’ or ‘finished’. Genesis 2:1 NKJV 2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. See, He completed ‘creation’ at the end of verse one in chapter 2. That means now that it’s finished, it’s the universe. But notice what the author says in verse 5 chapter 2: Genesis 2:5 NKJV 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; Notice, He created (formed) male and female in chapter 1 but didn’t put him into creation until Genesis 2:7-8. Genesis 1:27 NJKV 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 2:7-8 NKJV 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. So, one Adam and one Eve. No confusion. Now let’s take a look at ‘why’ we’re in a war. Genesis 2:19-20 continues to show ‘how’ God creates animals and birds. Again, they were formed in chapter 1 and brought to Adam in chapter 2 for naming. Genesis 2:19-20 NKJV 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to [a]Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. There are several mysteries within these two verses that will change your paradigm as a Christian. First, God wants to spend time with Adam. Adam was created in His image. Adam is the only creature that can procreate and produce more in His image. Angels cannot mate with other Angels nor procreate more Angels, and yes, there are female Angels. Zechariah 5:9 NKJV 9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. However, we do know that Angels mated with women on the Earth and produced Giants. Genesis 6:4 NKJV 4 There were [a]giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. It took the human female host to actually produce a being and even then, those beings, the giants were cursed and were not given a soul/spirit. There are some teachings that even think these giants became the demons we deal with today. You can research that on your own. God created us in His image and we’re able to produce more of us in His image. God wanted to spend time with Adam to get to know Him because Adam was unique and had his own personality. Just like you and I have our own personalities. Let me give you an example (scenario) of how this time was spent with Adam. God brought a male and female type of big gray fat things to Adam to name. God asks him, what do you want to call these? Adam says, I’m going to call them elephants because they have trunks. God smiles. Then Adam says, I have a question though. God says, oh, ask. Adam says, in all the previous big creatures, you gave them long strong thick tales to help support them (dinosaurs) and here, you gave the elephants long skinny tales. Why? That gives you an idea of the relationship building up between God and Adam. There’s another mystery you want to know while you’re here. (Rabbit trail…) Romans 6:23 NKJV 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. No sin, no aging. We don’t know Adam’s age here but he remains fully mature during this time because he had not sinned yet. Here’s another mystery and this one tells you ‘why’ we’re in this war. Ezekiel 28:13 NKJV 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. Look who was in the Garden of Eden, Lucifer. He was the most beautiful creature ever created and I’m sure you’re saying to yourself at this moment, ‘this isn’t a mystery’. We know he was there because he deceived Eve.Theologians will tell you Ezekial 28:13 confirms that the ‘serpent’ was Lucifer but I take it one step further and say that Lucifer was watching God and Adam during this time where it was just the two of them. In fact, he was watching and seething. He was angry. He couldn’t believe that God would give ‘all’ His attention to this worthless, frail creature called a human being – named Adam. He was thinking that God should be giving him His attention and only to him. He wanted God to worship him and it made him angry that He wasn’t. In fact, Lucifer came to the conclusion that he will show God how stupid and frail these human beings can be, which reveals another mystery. Notice Lucifer went after Eve and not Adam. Genesis 3:1 NKJV 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’? He didn’t touch Adam because Adam spent quality time with God. Hmmm…maybe if you spent quality time with God, Satan wouldn’t touch you?!?! So, Lucifer wanted God to worship him. Instead, God spent time with Adam and built up a relationship because Adam was His son made in His image. When you have your first child, it is absolutely amazing to hold that beautiful baby in your arms. And as they grow, you get to see what type of personality comes out and what type of person that baby becomes. It’s awesome. That’s what God wanted to see with us. He was thrilled and made a place for us to live (Earth) so he could see that, but Lucifer hated God so much that he went after God’s most precious loved commodity – man. That’s why we’re in war. It’s because Satan hates God so much that he believes if he can get you, he will hurt God. John 3:16 NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Doesn’t John 3:16 mean more to you now that you know why you’re in this war? It’s similar to America getting drawn into WW2 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. You were drawn into this war. Notice the issue here – Satan wants to hurt God by making you fail. Do you want to let Satan succeed? Do you really want to hurt God’s feelings? Every battle you face each day can be either a victory or defeat. That’s up to you. God already sent His Son Jesus to ‘redeem’ you with the blood. You have a choice. Romans 8:37 NKJV 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 12:11 NJKV 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. How do you be more than a conqueror and/or how do you overcome daily battles/skirmishes? By the word of your testimony. Every battle you win in this war, tells others they can win too. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Here’s the best part. When you make God a priority in your life, (YOUR CHOICE) you become a new creature. That means those old things won’t affect you anymore. You overcame them. That means you have a testimony to share. SHARE IT! Psalm 91:1-3 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler from the perilous pestilence. You see, when you put God first, you enter His presence. You seek Him out. You put Him first. That’s saying to Satan, YOU CHOOSE to WORSHIP GOD and not him. HALLELUJAH! Top of Page End Times THE FOUR CRAFTSMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE Zechariah 1:20 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.” In the second vision that God revealed to Zechariah we are given a unique insight into the realm of spiritual warfare from an Old Testament perspective. It is my belief that all six of Zechariah’s visions are intricately connected to the prophecy in the book of Revelation about the four horseman of the Apocalypse that God had appointed to be revealed to those of us who are alive during the end of this age. ​ Zechariah 1:8 “I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.” In his first vision Zechariah sees horses of four different colors that the Lord sent to walk to and from throughout the earth. These different color horses are symbolic of the watchers that keep watch over the affairs of men and their relationship with God’s people here on the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” If we understand the underpinning of Zechariah’s first vision we will be able to make better sense, not only of Zechariah’s second vision as it pertains to spiritual warfare, but about the spiritual warfare that is going on right now, for we are presently living in the days of the unveiling of the four horseman of the book of Revelation. Zechariah 1:11 “So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, ‘We have walked to and from throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.’” The first thing that we need to recognize in order to make sense of the visions is that they revolved around the city of Jerusalem. For seventy years the Lord had removed the Jewish people from the land of Judah and from the city of Jerusalem, to give the land the Sabbath day of rest that they owed the land. When Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he instructed them that when they entered into the land that the Lord was giving them, that they were suppose to give the land a year of rest every seven years. No sowing and no reaping, they had to trust the Lord to provide for them a double harvest during the six years that would last them for the whole seventh year that they were not supposed to be tilling the land. They violated the law of the Sabbath rest for the land, for four hundred and ninety years consecutively, so that they owed the land seventy years of rest: 490 / 7 = 70 years. When the time for God’s judgment fell upon them, God used the nations of the earth to remove them from the land and to keep them out of the land for the seventy years that they owed. Zechariah 1:12 “Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, ‘O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?’” Zechariah, in his first vision is privy to an event that is taking place in the spiritual realm; he sees horses and asked what they mean. After he is told that they are the watchers that watch over the affairs of men, the Angel of the Lord speaks to God in front of Zechariah, reminding God that the seventy years are now over. God answers the Angel of the Lord with good and comforting words in verse thirteen. Then the reason is revealed as to why the Lord had given Zechariah a ringside seat, if you will, to what was going on in the spiritual realm, after he is told that he is to prophesy, within the context of all that he had witnessed, to the Jews that were in exile. Zechariah 1:14-15 “So the angel who spoke with me said to me, "proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped—but with evil intent.’” The Lord reveals that He is angry with the nations that He used to remove the Jews from Jerusalem and from the land of Judah, because of their evil intent while He was using them against His own people. As always the Lord’s judgments against the nations of the earth have to do with how they treated or mistreated His own people. Remember what God told Abraham when He entered into a covenant with him? I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you. Then Zechariah proceeded to proclaim to the Jews of his day that God was restoring them back into the land from where they had been exiled for seventy years, and that God would again choose Jerusalem as its capitol. Which leads us right into the second vision that deals with how the Lord removes the demonic strongholds that Satan placed over the nation of Israel, when he took advantage of them, while they were in exile for their disobedience to the commandments that God gave them through Moses. Zechariah 1:18 “Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.” Zechariah’s first vision began at night, which is symbolic of the spiritual darkness that was all around the nation of Israel at that time. In the second vision the Lord is revealing to Zechariah the source of the spiritual darkness that is all around him. Zechariah 1:19 “And I said to the angel who talked with me, ‘What are these?’ So he answered me, ‘These are the horns (powers) that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.’” When God’s hand of blessing is over a people, there is absolutely nothing that the devil can do against them, for our God is Almighty. The enemy knows that, as long as God’s protection is over His people, he is powerless against them, so he is always at work to temp those who belong to God into rebelling against God. Obedience to God always brings enlightenment, and disobedience to God always brings darkness. Zechariah 1:2-3 “The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” The Lord was very angry with the fathers because of their disobedience to the commandment of God in regards to their obligation to give the land a year of rest every seventh year. Now that their debt is paid in full, for they have been out of the land for seventy years, they can be restored back to their land if they return to the Lord first, and acknowledge that without God in their midst they are in darkness. Zechariah 1:20-21 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. And I said, ‘What are these coming to do?’ So he said, ‘These are the (four) horns (powers) that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.’” In warfare whoever controls the high ground has the advantage over their adversary; because of their disobedience to the Word of God Israel was put at a disadvantage where they could not lift up their heads and have a clear picture of their spiritual condition. Now that they are returning to God, the Lord sends them four craftsmen or carpenters to dismantle the demonic infrastructure that prevents them from regaining the upper hand, the lifting up of their heads. Notice the language that the angel uses that describes how these demonic hordes will be terrified by these four craftsmen before they are cast out. What are these four craftsmen symbolic of? 2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” The four craftsmen are symbolic of the apostolic anointing! The apostolic anointing is the force that God brings about to dismantle the four horns or powers that keep God’s children in darkness. What are the four horns symbolic of? Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (which is light, and those who practice those things are still in darkness).” The four horns are symbolic of the works of the flesh! PERVERSION: Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness and Lewdness. DIVISION: Hatred, Contentions, Envy and Jealousies. FALSE RELIGION: Idolatry, Sorcery, Dissensions and Heresies. MALFUNCTION: Outbursts of Wrath, Murder, Drunkenness and Revelries. At the center ofcourse is Selfish Ambition the soul motivator before we became born-again. I took the liberty of dividing them into four categories that revolve around the self motivated soul. The number seventeen is the seventh prime number. Zechariah’s first vision is recorded in chapter one, beginning in verse seven to verse seventeen. A clear double emphasis that the Holy Spirit reveals to us to show us how important to our present day Zechariah’s visions are. Also, all of us have sixteen great-great-grandparents in our family tree, and if you form a pyramid with self sitting on top of it, with two parents directly below, four grandparents below them, eight great-grandparents below them and sixteen great-great-grandparents as the foundation of the pyramid, it shows how our soul is affected by the iniquity of the fathers which is with whom the Lord was angry in Zechariah 1:2. 0 = 1 Self 0-0 = 2 Parents 0-0-0-0 = 4 Grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 8 Great-grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 16 Great-great-grandparents. Exodus 20:5-6 “You shall not bow down to them nor serve (worship) them (idols). For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me (idolatry is seen by God as hatred towards Him), but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” We are living in the age of grace, and the church has been established on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, with our Lord Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone. The time for our redemption is now, for our sin debt that we owed God has been fully paid for by our Savior on the cross. As the Lord spoke during Zechariah’s day, that if we return to Him He will return to us. We are living in the days right now when those that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. But remember also that with our salvation comes deliverance from the forces of darkness that kept us bound. It is the apostolic anointing that terrifies the devil, for through its revelation we become empowered. Remember the words of Jesus, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free! Yes, we are living in the days of the white horse, the antichrist, for there are many out there striving to deceive those of us who are the children of light. Yes, we are living in the days of the red horse, the days of war and terror as our Lord predicted. Yes there is a global economy being forged right now that is paving the way for a one world government, the black horse that will control all commerce and all of its financial transactions. The pale horse whose rider is death, followed closely by Hades, soon will be given power to bring war over one fourth of the earth. This is the conflict that will usher in the rapture of the church; let’s be ready for it. Zechariah 2:10/13 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst...Be silent, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!” Back to End Times Teachings
