- THE LORD WAITS | HoFM
Top of Page Top of Page THE LORD WAITS For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Isaiah 30:18 “Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you: and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.” What a beautiful revelation of God’s grace and mercy toward us, and how He, who patiently waits for us to be ready to receive His mercy and grace, blesses us when we faithfully wait for Him in return—to return. Notice first of all that God is presented here as, For the Lord is a God of justice. And secondly that He is Gracious and May have mercy on you. The Lord waits, that means that He longs for us to be ready to receive His grace and mercy, which can only be received by accepting Jesus as our Savior and Lord. For only in Jesus can the Lord of Justice freely dispense His mercy and His grace to those who do not deserve it. Hebrews 1:8 “But to the Son He says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of (justice) righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.’” Only Jesus can dispense God’s justice—which includes His mercy and His grace—for it was with His own blood that Jesus paid in full the entirety of all human sins. That is why the Lord waits for humans to come to their senses, repent, and receive the mercy and grace that He has made available to all who believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins. Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: ‘In returning (repentance) and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.’ But you would not.” The reality is that many choose to reject the Lord’s free offer of salvation. But that does not deter God, for He waits—even to our last breath—for us to enter into His rest. But there is a very specific blessing that is attached to those, who like God who is patient, learn to be patient, and in quietness and confidence wait as the Lord waits, and in the process they end up renewing the strength of their salvation. Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” A truth that many Christians do not know, is that God has assigned a very specific blessing to those who eagerly wait for His return: Blessed are all those who wait for Him. Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is He who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 22:20 “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” What is this very specific blessing all about? I believe this to be a three-fold blessing that applies to those who eagerly await for the Lord to return and to take them home to be with Him. The first blessing assures us of the removal of all our sorrows. The second blessing guarantees that He hears us at the very sound of our cry for help. The third blessing is an anointing for learning spiritual discernment. Isaiah 30:19 “For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.” The first-fold blessing is, You shall weep no more! No more sorrows. Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.” The main root of sorrow is hopelessness; Jesus nailed sorrow on the cross and after He rose from the dead, He spoiled its fruit of hopelessness. Those who truly await the return of Jesus and the resurrection of the saints, have abolished all sorrows from their lives, for sorrow has to do with loss, and every thing that we’ve surrendered to Jesus, He is able to keep safe and secured until it is restored back to us. Matthew 6:20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” How can a person who is not even sure that Jesus is physically coming back to this earth, to restore to us all the good things that we have lost for His sake, be without sorrow? For where there is no hope, sorrow remains. Isaiah 65:23 “They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.” Clearly Isaiah is referring to the Kingdom Age of which all of God’s saints will be a part of. The first part of the three-fold blessing given to the descendants of the blessed, is the blessing of restoration. So that we do not sorrow like those who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep (died), lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” Those who eagerly await for the return of Jesus are waiting for the promised restoration as well—no loss, no sorrow! The second-fold blessing has to do with the assurance that God hears us. Isaiah 65:24 “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Faith comes as the result of that which we are hoping for. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” If we dare to believe that Jesus is coming soon to restore all things, and we live our lives based on that hope, then surely, we know that at any point in time—if we cry out to Him—that He will hear us. Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (faith, hope and love).” The third-fold blessing is the anointing for spiritual discernment. Isaiah 30:20 “And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction (oppression), yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers.” If our hope is in the resurrection from the dead and the return of Jesus to implement God’s final restoration, then adversity and affliction are nothing more than teachers that God uses to train us as to the hearing of His voice. Isaiah 30:21 “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” Who would have thought that having a firm belief about the soon return of Jesus Christ would be so beneficial to us? It is like waiting to be seated at a crowded restaurant on mother’s day, and they give you a gizmo that lights up and vibrates when your turn has come. Those of us who eagerly await for our Lord to appear have been given an array of very wonderful blessings. Philippians 3:20-21 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” So, we wait, patiently, hopefully, and faithfully for our Lord to return. But we do so with the hope that everyday that He delays His return, we become more cheerful, more secure in the fact that He hears us, and more intuitive about our high spiritual calling. Isaiah 30:29 “You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- THE BATTLE SKIRMISH & THE WAR | HoFM
Top of Page Top of Page The Battle (Skirmish) & The War Written by Lisa Kane 6/26/21 I’m sure you understand what the difference between a battle and the war is but just in case, the battle are small skirmishes in the war and the war is the overall event. For example, the battle of Gettysburg was a battle within the Civil War. Some battles affect the outcome of the war and others have little impact but are important, nonetheless. The same is true for a believer. We deal with battles or skirmishes in our everyday lives but we are in an overall war. I asked myself, why are we in a war and what is this war we’re in? Sneak peak, if you’re on God’s side, you win the war. Revelation 20:10 NKJV 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Notice, I said if you’re on God’s side. So far, now we know, we need to choose a side…again, why? Do you know why you’re in this war? It’s likely you don’t and this message will help you understand the larger picture and I hope it changes your paradigm, thinking of what being a Christian means. And it begins in Genesis. Before we continue, I need to clarify ‘confusion’ related to Genesis chapters 1 and 2. There are not two Adam’s and there are not two Eve’s, etc. Chapter 1 is a supply list of what God creates and chapter 2 clarifies what He put into action. Think of it like this…if you plan to build a house, or fix a car, or create a quilt, you need all your supplies before you begin but it doesn’t become a house, or a fixed car, or a quilt until it’s put together or ‘completed’ or ‘finished’. Genesis 2:1 NKJV 2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. See, He completed ‘creation’ at the end of verse one in chapter 2. That means now that it’s finished, it’s the universe. But notice what the author says in verse 5 chapter 2: Genesis 2:5 NKJV 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; Notice, He created (formed) male and female in chapter 1 but didn’t put him into creation until Genesis 2:7-8. Genesis 1:27 NJKV 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 2:7-8 NKJV 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. So, one Adam and one Eve. No confusion. Now let’s take a look at ‘why’ we’re in a war. Genesis 2:19-20 continues to show ‘how’ God creates animals and birds. Again, they were formed in chapter 1 and brought to Adam in chapter 2 for naming. Genesis 2:19-20 NKJV 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to [a]Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. There are several mysteries within these two verses that will change your paradigm as a Christian. First, God wants to spend time with Adam. Adam was created in His image. Adam is the only creature that can procreate and produce more in His image. Angels cannot mate with other Angels nor procreate more Angels, and yes, there are female Angels. Zechariah 5:9 NKJV 9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. However, we do know that Angels mated with women on the Earth and produced Giants. Genesis 6:4 NKJV 4 There were [a]giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. It took the human female host to actually produce a being and even then, those beings, the giants were cursed and were not given a soul/spirit. There are some teachings that even think these giants became the demons we deal with today. You can research that on your own. God created us in His image and we’re able to produce more of us in His image. God wanted to spend time with Adam to get to know Him because Adam was unique and had his own personality. Just like you and I have our own personalities. Let me give you an example (scenario) of how this time was spent with Adam. God brought a male and female type of big gray fat things to Adam to name. God asks him, what do you want to call these? Adam says, I’m going to call them elephants because they have trunks. God smiles. Then Adam says, I have a question though. God says, oh, ask. Adam says, in all the previous big creatures, you gave them long strong thick tales to help support them (dinosaurs) and here, you gave the elephants long skinny tales. Why? That gives you an idea of the relationship building up between God and Adam. There’s another mystery you want to know while you’re here. (Rabbit trail…) Romans 6:23 NKJV 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. No sin, no aging. We don’t know Adam’s age here but he remains fully mature during this time because he had not sinned yet. Here’s another mystery and this one tells you ‘why’ we’re in this war. Ezekiel 28:13 NKJV 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. Look who was in the Garden of Eden, Lucifer. He was the most beautiful creature ever created and I’m sure you’re saying to yourself at this moment, ‘this isn’t a mystery’. We know he was there because he deceived Eve.Theologians will tell you Ezekial 28:13 confirms that the ‘serpent’ was Lucifer but I take it one step further and say that Lucifer was watching God and Adam during this time where it was just the two of them. In fact, he was watching and seething. He was angry. He couldn’t believe that God would give ‘all’ His attention to this worthless, frail creature called a human being – named Adam. He was thinking that God should be giving him His attention and only to him. He wanted God to worship him and it made him angry that He wasn’t. In fact, Lucifer came to the conclusion that he will show God how stupid and frail these human beings can be, which reveals another mystery. Notice Lucifer went after Eve and not Adam. Genesis 3:1 NKJV 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’? He didn’t touch Adam because Adam spent quality time with God. Hmmm…maybe if you spent quality time with God, Satan wouldn’t touch you?!?! So, Lucifer wanted God to worship him. Instead, God spent time with Adam and built up a relationship because Adam was His son made in His image. When you have your first child, it is absolutely amazing to hold that beautiful baby in your arms. And as they grow, you get to see what type of personality comes out and what type of person that baby becomes. It’s awesome. That’s what God wanted to see with us. He was thrilled and made a place for us to live (Earth) so he could see that, but Lucifer hated God so much that he went after God’s most precious loved commodity – man. That’s why we’re in war. It’s because Satan hates God so much that he believes if he can get you, he will hurt God. John 3:16 NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Doesn’t John 3:16 mean more to you now that you know why you’re in this war? It’s similar to America getting drawn into WW2 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. You were drawn into this war. Notice the issue here – Satan wants to hurt God by making you fail. Do you want to let Satan succeed? Do you really want to hurt God’s feelings? Every battle you face each day can be either a victory or defeat. That’s up to you. God already sent His Son Jesus to ‘redeem’ you with the blood. You have a choice. Romans 8:37 NKJV 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 12:11 NJKV 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. How do you be more than a conqueror and/or how do you overcome daily battles/skirmishes? By the word of your testimony. Every battle you win in this war, tells others they can win too. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Here’s the best part. When you make God a priority in your life, (YOUR CHOICE) you become a new creature. That means those old things won’t affect you anymore. You overcame them. That means you have a testimony to share. SHARE IT! Psalm 91:1-3 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler from the perilous pestilence. You see, when you put God first, you enter His presence. You seek Him out. You put Him first. That’s saying to Satan, YOU CHOOSE to WORSHIP GOD and not him. HALLELUJAH! Choose God and win the battles. You’ve already won the war. More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministr y End Times Teachings Other Teachings

- THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING | HoFM
Top of Page THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING, HE WILL SAVE US. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” There has never been a time in the history of the Christian church when so many of the signs that point to the end of times have been revealed, and when so many of the end time prophecies that precede the Lord’s return have been fulfilled. We are not only the generation that will witness the glorious return of our Lord to save us, but we are right in the end of the time that has been allotted to that final generation. The return of our Lord is imminent! It is implied in our opening text that before our Lord returns, that it would be a time of great turbulence and upheaval, for we are told that at His return He will quiet us with His love. Let us take a sober look at how the events that are taking place all around us right now fit within the prophetic scenario that is given before the return of our Lord. Zephaniah 3:1-2 “Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the Lord, she has not drawn near to her God.” When Zephaniah first uttered his prophetic words, they were meant as an indictment against the city of Jerusalem and the people of Judah. But it is very clear within the context of his prophecy that there is a double meaning to his prophetic vision that clearly is applicable to what the prophet calls the day of the Lord’s fierce anger, that foretells about the end of time, as we see in the opening verses of his prophetic vision. Zephaniah 1:2-3 “I will utterly consume (make a complete end of) everything from the face of the land, says the Lord; I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heavens, the fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks (idols) along with the wicked. I will cut off man from the face of the land (ground), says the Lord.” It is clear from the sweeping judgments against man, beast, sea, ground, air, idols, and the wicked, presented in the opening of this prophecy, that God was clearly foretelling something more than what their present condition required. He was also speaking about the Day of the Lord’s wrath during the time of the latter days, our present day time. So that when He said in the previous verse: Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted about the city of Jerusalem of Zephaniah’s day, that He also had an end time entity in mind as well. It is very possible that the Lord is referring to a large portion of end time Christianity, what He calls in Revelation the Laodicea church. Revelation 3:15-17 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” It is clear from the context that our Lord’s focus is against Christian religious organizations of the end times that seem to be standing in their own merits and traditions, rather than having a continuous need for the Lord to be their entire focus; refusing the correction of the Holy Spirit, and not fully trusting in the Lord as their redeemer, having need of nothing. When a church entity becomes organized to the point that their bylaws and traditions take precedent over the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit, that church entity is in rebellion to the will of God for her and by her rebellion becomes polluted; it ceases to be a house of deliverance and becomes a house of oppressing legalism. If we think of the two thousand years church history as training and preparation for an event that will surpass every other event in human history, the coming of the Mighty One, then we can see why it is so important that the church be obedient and prepared, for we do not know how events will unfold before His return, so that we need to be in tune with His Word and with the revelation that the Holy Spirit brings to get us ready to be taken up with Him in a moments notice. Zephaniah 3:4 “Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; her priests have polluted (profaned) the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law (did not stay true to His Word).” In the book of Revelation, the difference between the Philadelphia church that gets taken up in the rapture, and the Laodicea church that gets left behind, is that the Philadelphia church kept His Word and did not deny the Lord’s name, obviously the Laodicea church had need of none of those things, for it could stand on its own religious merits. Zephaniah 3:5 “The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness, every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, but the unjust knows no shame.” The Lord makes it very clear that even though the Laodicea church is in disobedience, that it still belongs to Him for He is in her midst, and after all, He promised His church to never leave her nor to forsake her; so if He were to abandon her that would be wrong, and He will do no unrighteousness, even if they continuously flaunt their disobedience in spite of His daily warnings against her, but they seem to know no shame. Who are these people? It is hard for me to reconcile the Christianity that I know with some of the people that are described as Christian ministers during the end of time in many of the end time prophecies. But Zephaniah gives us some great insight that will help us identify who some of these people might be, for they will be sharing some of the same qualities that the prophets and priests of his days had. Zephaniah 1:4-5 “I will stretch out My hand against Judah, and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem (for our present day interpretation this prophecy is against the Laodicea church). I will cut every trace of Baal (the false lord, or the other Jesus that they preach) from this place, (along with) the names of the idolatrous priests (Christian ministers that practice or follow pagan traditions along) with the pagan priests—those who worship the host of heaven on the house tops (astrologers); those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord (clearly referring to Christians), but also swear by Milcom (or Molech, to whom infants were offered as sacrifices during Zephaniah’s time, our present day abortionists).” We can clearly see that in end time Christianity there will be different churches, that to different degrees, will preach another Jesus, along with a different gospel that is influenced by the spirit of paganism, and that many of them will be supporters of abortion rights. And this is what they will acknowledge by their actions, the actions that will eventually bring God’s judgment upon them: Zephaniah 1:6 “Those (these are they that) who have turned back from following the Lord, and have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.” Zephaniah 1:12 “And it shall come to pass at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men who are settled in complacency (lukewarmness, the Laodicea church), who say in their heart, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil.’” If religion has a goal, it is that of pushing God out to the back so that it, religion, can become the final arbiter in any given matter. In order to do that it has to neutralize God first, to the point where God becomes a bystander, a simple observer, and therefore it falls upon religion the sacred duties of deciding what is right and what is wrong. However, this is what God says is going to happen to religion when the time for God to act finally comes: Zephaniah 1:13 “Therefore their goods shall become booty, and their houses a desolation; they shall build houses, but not inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.” What it finally boils down to is the fact that religion cannot sustain itself in the day of God’s wrath. For the day of God’s wrath is a day when the truth is revealed, and religion is built on a myth, the myth that God is not active in man’s affairs, and that He will not involve Himself in the everyday workings of His creation. This is why the belief that Jesus is coming back soon for His church, to set up His everlasting kingdom, is laughed at by many within the Laodicea church today. But how is this for their wake-up call! Zephaniah 1:14-16 “The great day of the Lord is near; it is near and hastens quickly, the noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities and against the high towers.” If I can encapsulate the flavor of what the prophet is telling us, this is how I would do it: That the day of the Lord is COMING SOON! And that the day of the Lord is REAL! And that the day of the Lord if going to be a BAD DAY! The day of the Lord is a day from which we will need to be RESCUED! The only way that a reasonable person, a person that calls himself a believer, cannot understand the clarity with which the Scriptures describes the end of times, is if such a person just decides that God does not mean what he says in His Word. In other words, they do not keep His Word, because if they do they would have to do away with all of their idolatries and man made doctrines. But as usual there is hope for those of us who put our hope in Him, and who trust on the veracity of God’s Word, and not on the corrupted religious traditions of men and demons by which so many unwilling Christians are enslave into their idolatry. Zephaniah 2:3 “Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, who have held up His justice (Word). Seek righteousness (not religion), seek humility (realize that we are always in need of Him and His grace). It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.” There is a price to pay for being an ardent adherent of God’s Word, there is no doubt about that. We are ridiculed constantly for the fervency with which we believe the inerrancy of Scripture, many a times from our own quarters. We are defamed in many instances, not just by the world, but by Laodicean Christians that believe that our stance against compromise with the world is a hindrance to their version of Christianity being accepted by the world, even though we are clearly warned in Scripture against being loved by the world or us loving the things that the world stands for: 1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.” But you see, once you start denying the parts of Scripture that hinder what it is that you want to accomplish in what you yourself believe, then what is there to keep you from removing anything else from Scripture that does not conform with your relationship with the world? Here is the reason why we need to stay true to the Word of God. This is what God promises those who endure the afflictions of their ridicule and ostracizing for our staying true, in spite of their persecution and defamation, to the Word of God. Zephaniah 3:18-20 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly (the condition of the Laodicean church), who are among you, to whom its reproach is a burden. Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame (those whose ministry was hindered by their slanderous accusations), and gather those who were driven out (kicked out of their churches for exposing their compromise); I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land (place) where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes, says the Lord.” Those who compromise the Word of God today, do it to gain the praise and fame of the world, and in a twist of irony, that is exactly what God is going to give to those who refuse to compromise the Word of God today, in the world that is to come. - CATCH THE ANOINTING | HoFM
Top of Page Top of Page CATCH THE ANOINTING Written by Lisa Kane 6/13/21 If you’re not a believer, this message won’t make sense to you. To understand, become a believer by saying this prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name amen! 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. What is the anointing? It’s something that God gives you, the believer, that abides in you. It allows you to be taught the Word of God by this ‘anointing’ and not man. It is truthful and not misleading nor is it contaminated by man’s way of thinking or beliefs. First, we need to ask ourselves what is the anointing because once we recognize what that is, we can move to the next step, abiding in Him, to activate this anointing. Acts 2:2-3 NKJV 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [a]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. On April 9, 1906, we saw this same thing happen on Azusa street, downtown Los Angeles. Here’s an except of the event on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azusa_Street_Revival On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God on Bonnie Brae Street, "when suddenly, as though hit by a bolt of lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor," and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout out loud praising God. The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; and a few days later Seymour himself received the Holy Spirit; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down under the power of God as they approached; people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and the sick were healed and sinners received salvation.[2] This is the same thing that happened when the 120 individuals were in the upper room waiting after Jesus ascended into heaven in Acts chapter 2. The anointing has physical attributes. It’s a mighty rushing wind that comes. It feels like being hit by a bolt of lightening. It physically feels like you’re knocked down and folks start speaking in tongues that people will recognize as their own language. Acts even describes those tongues as fire on top of each of those persons. You may want to take a moment to read Acts chapter 2. It also draws a lot of attention. In both Acts and Azusa street revivals, people were drawn, saved, healed, and delivered. Is this anointing dead? I ask this question because I don’t see this happening today, June 13, 2021. Why don’t we see it anymore? If it happened in Acts and on Azusa street, it can happen today and we know it will happen just before the return of the Lord on that great and dreadful day of the Lord: Acts 2:17-20 NKJV 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. So, if this should happen in the end times, we need to take a closer look at this and be ready for it because we’re already seeing people have dreams and visions. We saw Israel became a name in 1947. We saw Jerusalem become the capital in 1967. We saw the pestilence of covid, we’re seeing large earthquakes, we’re seeing wars and rumor of wars – Matthew 24, Luke 21, Jeremiah 30:3, etc. One very important factor to notice about Acts and the Azusa street revival is at the beginning of both events. People were waiting in a dwelling place. Let’s read 1 John 2:27 again… 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. Notice the last statement: ‘will abide in Him’. What does it mean to ‘abide in Him’ and why is that important? Jeremiah 30:18a NKJV “Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; Jeremiah 30:21b-22 NKJV Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” First, Jeremiah tells us that the Lord will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents – dwelling place. Where you are, is your dwelling place. Jeremiah tells us that God will have mercy on that dwelling place. Mercy means forgiveness. Where you are, ask God to forgive you. As Job did it all the time for himself, and his family, we should do so always also. I suggest reading the book of Job at your earliest convenience. Second, once you have that mercy, how should you respond? How do you show your thankfulness. Read Jeremiah 30:22 again. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” In your dwelling place, say this: “God, I belong to You and You belong to me”. That’s one way to say thank you. Or another words, praise and worship Him. Say things that acknowledges God is great. Here are a couple of scriptures that praises God: Matthew 21:42 NKJV 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? You can call Him the chief cornerstone knowing that He is marvelous. Psalm 8:1 NKJV 8 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! You can tell Him how great is His name and how His glory is above the heavens. I’ll let you take the adventure from here to explore other ways from the Word of God on what to say during praise and worship. Now that you’re in the dwelling place, declaring that God belongs to you and you belong to God, now you wait. The 120 waited – Acts 2…William Seymour and those seven men waited. You wait knowing that: Joel 2:28-32 NKJV (This is what Peter quoted in Acts 2 beginning in verse 17 (read earlier) 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. 30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be [a]saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [b]deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. It’s time to be in that waiting place, dwelling in the secret place with God, being a part of that remnant the Lord calls, because His end is coming and we need to be ready to CATCH THE ANOINTING! - TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE | HoFM
Top of Page TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE Philippians 1:29 “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” In today’s Christian environment it almost feels like heresy to say that it has been granted to us, not only to believe in Him, but also the privilege of suffering for Him. In this lesson we will deal with the reason why God considers it a privilege when the followers of Jesus are allowed to suffer for His sake. Let us start with the basics; what is suffering for His sake? 1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” To suffer for Jesus’ sake is to suffer for doing good. But let us not gloss over the importance of suffering itself, for all of us suffer one way or another. Suffering always has to do with discipline, for those who suffer are trained by their sufferings. And it is part of the natural process as well, as children we are deprived of many of the things that we want until we learn how to use them properly. Now in the world, suffering, though it may bring some kind of discipline to the sufferers, it is usually the result of bad personal behavior, or due to the failures of the progenitors of those who are suffering. We can see that throughout the many nations of the world today. Those who are fortunate enough to be born in nations where the early fathers made sure that future generations would have better living conditions, by setting the right political and educational systems that would allow their descendants to be raised with the proper discipline to make things better, definitely suffer a lot less than those who are less fortunate. Those who are born in nations whose early fathers fostered hatred, division, and intolerance, whose aim was to regenerate their own bigotries after they were gone, and not what would be best for their descendants, suffer more due to the prejudices that they have inherited that keeps them from making the right choices. But this is where I believe that many Christians miss the true purpose for Christian suffering, for their understanding of suffering is based partly in where they were born. Those born on the west see suffering from a different perspective that those born in the east do, globally speaking. Christian suffering overrides whether one suffers for the lack of our ancestors discipline or because of it, it does not matter. Christian suffering is a different matter altogether and we need to understand that. 1 Peter 3:14 “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed…” The reason why Christians suffer is so that they can become partakers of the divine nature through their sufferings! That is the blessing. 2 Peter 1:3-4 “As (according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The divine nature is this: in Christ we are not of this world any longer! Let’s see if we can take a practical look at what Peter is trying to tell us. When Jesus was asked by Pilate if He was a king, Jesus answered that His kingdom was not of this world. Suffering for Christ’s sake prepares Christians for the kingdom that is to come, as it is written in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:12 “If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him…” KJV There is divine order in all of God’s creation, and that order is enforced by His divine power that governs everything in the creation in accordance with the laws of God. Suffering for Him and ruling with Him is one of those laws, if we suffer for Christ’s sake we do not suffer in vain! Being saved qualifies us to operate within the law of suffering for Him so that we can reign with Him, since in Him we have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now here is the process of suffering for His sake and becoming partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:5-9 “But also for this very reason (becoming partakers of the divine nature), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” Diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance (patience), godliness, brotherly kindness, love. All these are spiritual fruit that emanate from the anointing of the Holy Spirit that covers us. And just like the olives must be separated from the tree and crushed to make the oil flow, we too have the need to be separated from the world and made to endure the sufferings that allow for the anointing that is in us through the born-again experience to come forth. Philippians 1:11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Now there is a higher and more futuristic agenda to suffering for Christ’s sake as well, and that has more to do with the kingdom that is to come. Matthew 20:23 “So He said to them, ‘You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left in not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.’” Jesus gives us insight into the kingdom that is to come, He tells His disciples that they will indeed suffer a martyr’s death but that God Himself will decide what position each believer receives in accordance with how much they suffered for Christ’s sake. The reality is that most of us just want to make it to heaven and we don’t care where we sit, as long as we are in with Jesus and where Jesus is. But if we think in terms of excelling in our training that is preparing us for the future, they both accomplish the same thing; let me explain. The future kingdom of which all born again believers will be a part of, is an eternal kingdom. What does that mean? That means that in that eternal kingdom we cannot make any mistakes, for one mistake in eternity disqualified even the most anointed of the cherubs. When God made us, the human race, He made us a little lower than the angels, see Psalm 8: He did so for the purpose of working all the bugs out of us before we became eternal, therein comes the suffering part. You see when Lucifer and the angels that followed him sinned, their natures were abruptly changed, and since they dwelled in eternity, they became eternally dammed and unredeemable, for time is the fourth- dimension where past present and future are all the same, one eternity. God placed us humans in the third dimension which is lower than the dimension that the angels occupy, for those who live in the third dimension are stuck in the present, which is not a bad thing if you figure that as long as it is called today, the present, we still have a chance to repent and make whatever wrong we made, right again, before we die and enter into the fourth dimension of eternity. Hebrews 4:7 “Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts (and repent before you die so that you can enter into God’s rest).’” Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.” What that means is that once we die, as believers, we go before the judgment seat of Christ where our abilities to sin are removed from us once and for all, and then we are rewarded with our eternal position which is based on the things that we did while here on earth in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” This is not a judgment of salvation, for if one is not saved he will not make it into the judgment seat of Christ. This is a judgment of rewards or the lack of them. What that means is that Jesus is trying to get us, while here on earth, to let go of the worldly things or what is called the works of the flesh, so that we can produce spiritually eternal fruit, like Peter listed, for the more spiritual fruit that we produce the greater our standing or the higher our heavenly position will be. But the flip side of that is that the more spiritual that we become while here on earth the more power that we have to impose the kingdom of God in our midst, but in order to become more spiritual the greater the suffering that we must endure by denying ourselves of the worldly pleasures that war against the kingdom of God. Now this is the kind of suffering that Paul is talking about: Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” So that it is only suffering if it seems to us that we are missing out instead of gaining eternal blessings. Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” His suffering earned Him the highest position, which is to sit at the right hand of God. Our suffering will get us to the highest position ordained by God for us, which is for His good and perfect will to be done in our lives. Top of Page Top of Page Praying for leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like Written by Minister Lisa Kane 12.31.23 SAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up to Your throne room the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive them as well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like; the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” Father God, I bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with open ears, eyes, hearts, and minds to see, hear, receive, and believe the living Word of God because you state in Mark 4:12 KJV “12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” I pray in hope that they see and perceive, hear and understand so they would believe in Jesus the Son of the living God! And Heavenly Father, I bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in the hearts of the leadership around the world to forgive and reconcile their areas back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray that the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like are restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” manifests within the hearts of the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like. I pray that the gifts of the holy spirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God moves through each of us so that we know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen!
