Ultimately, the mystery of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” means that past sins and present struggles can be met with the healing and restoration of the future age, secured in Jesus who is the Alpha and Omega. This teaching encourages believers to anchor their hope not in the perishable systems of the world, but in the eternal Word of God, which alone has the power to transform the visible through the invisible. Inspired Teaching: Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” In our previous lesson, Visible and Invisible, I commented that the number one rule in understanding how the physical and invisible creation interacts was The Word, for it is written: Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” So that not only do all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in God’s Word, but they also abide in The Word that became flesh! Colossians 2:9 “For in Him (The Word that became flesh: Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” So that according to our opening text, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord have residing within us already all these treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:10 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” But notice carefully how Paul describes it in our opening text, Christ in you the hope of glory. What that basically means is that a great gift has been given to all of us who believe, and that within all of us who believe in Christ, resides the potential to access those hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now from the scientific point of view what that means is that we, those of us who believe in Christ, have been given the power by faith in the name of Jesus to manipulate the basic elements that comprise all matter. So that when Paul writes to us that in Christ we have the hope of glory, what he means is that in Christ we have the grounds to expect the manifestation of that which is invisible to us, or another way of saying it, that which seems impossible to us in the natural. So that true faith is based on the real evidence of something that already exists in the invisible or spiritual realm called heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Scripture tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, Christ in us gives us the hope of accessing that healing that God has already released and loosed in heaven, to come to reality here in our physical confine if we can by faith release it here on the earth where it is needed. Why do these healings do not take place all the time? Why don’t they become a reality as they should on behalf of those of us who believe? Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Notice the phrase according to the basic principles. A basic principle is a foundational law that governs a realm. There are laws or principles that govern the physical realm, and there are laws or principles that govern the spiritual realm. In the physical or visible realm, the basic law that permeates everything is entropy, because in our physical world everything eventually dies, for all that is visible is passing away. In the spiritual invisible realm however the basic law that permeates everything is the law of life, which is the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die (entropy), even so in Christ all shall be made alive (deliverance from entropy, that is our blessed hope).” Those who operate according to the basic principles of the world cannot produce life, so that the healing that is needed does not come to pass on their behalf. However those who operate according to the basic principles of Christ, receive the healing needed to continue with a good and abundant life, for they are following the proper protocol. Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (the invisible spiritual realm), not on things on the earth (the visible physical realm).” Let us ask these two simple questions and then a third: where does sickness come from? And where do healings come from? Sickness comes from the past and healings come from the future age that is to come! Now let me ask one more question, where does the past and the future come together? The answer to the third question is in Christ, for He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He has borne our sicknesses and diseases, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities which is where all sicknesses came from, that answers the first question. Now here is the answer to the second question. Hebrews 6:5 “And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” Every healing that Jesus performed He brought from the future age that is to come; for it is written in Scripture that in the future every knee will bow and that every tongue will confess, that every eye will see Him, and that in Christ all shall be made alive. Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Now we understand from science that in the invisible world of sub-atomic particles which form all the things which are visible, that these sub-atomic particles exist in two different places at the same time, that is they transcend time and space. So that if our sicknesses are caused by past sins and iniquities that oppress us in the present, we can summon through the Word of God, the powers of the age to come and remedy whatever situation we face, if we dare to believe that with God nothing is impossible. Matthew 17:20 “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Now let us think about a literal mountain, if Jesus spoke to a high mountain and told it to move from here to someplace else, what would be the mechanics involved? Well we have an answer from nature! Every minute tons of water evaporate from the world’s oceans, move themselves away from there and travel to far away places where they come down as rain or snow, literally tons and tons of them fall back down to earth every minute somewhere in the world. What are the mountains made of? Sub-atomic particles that are held together by an invisible force, and in the same way that the sub-atomic particles that forms the waters that are in the oceans and are disbanded and made to fly away and then to come together again someplace else, the Word of the Lord has the same power to influence the dirt that forms the mountains or anything else, even the living things. Psalm 97:5 “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” What I am trying to do here is to encourage your hope in the Word of God, for the Word of God is a lot more real than anything that exists within our physical realm. The entire world system is designed to get people away from trusting in the hope of glory that we have in Christ, but if you are in Christ do not be cheated out of your inheritance in the light by going back into trusting in the basic principles of this world. Colossians 2:20 “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (things that perish with the using and which are not eternal like the promises of God are).” Previous Next Home

Faith, then, is both a desperate dependence on God and the confident assurance that He is willing and able to meet every need. Inspired Teaching: Matthew 9:28 “And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’” Have you ever wonder what faith really is? What is biblical faith, and how do I know if I have it? I am sure that we all have our own personal understanding of what faith is to us, but I wonder if we can all come to a general understanding of the Bible’s definition of faith, or what I call biblical faith. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” In the Bible’s own definition of what faith is, we see two basic components working together, and I believe that if we are able to understand their interactions, it will make us more capable, if you will, to overcome those situations where only faith can deliver us. But before we look at these two components, let’s get a biblical perspective first, of how the basic principles of faith work. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” I believe that the difference between listening and hearing is that when we hear something it has the connotation that we understand what we are hearing. When we hear a familiar sound we are able to understand where it is coming from and what it is. For example if we hear a baby crying or laughing we can respond appropriately. In the same manner if we hear sounds that we are not familiar with or know from where they originate, then we are clueless as to what is going on and have no idea as how to respond. So that faith rests on the foundation of knowledge. Theoretically speaking, the more that we know the more that we are able to believe, but there is a double implication to that theory, the more that somebody else knows, the more that we are able to believe in their abilities as well. Let us use a natural example of that theory: Two men are riding in a car when the motor stops working, they open the hood and look at the engine to see if they can find out what is wrong and if it can be fixed. Do we believe that they will be able to fix the problem? I would need more information about the two men. Let’s say that one of the two men is a medical doctor. I’m pretty sure that he won’t be much help in this case, unless of course, somebody gets sick. Let’ s say that the other man is an auto mechanic, well then, that changes the whole equation doesn’t it? For even if he cannot get it fixed right there, he would probably know what the problem is and what needs to be done to get it fixed. If it was the other way around, the car is running fine, but somebody gets sick, then my money is on the doctor. That is a simple, yet powerful illustration of how faith works, we need to know, but we do not need to know everything, for it is impossible for a single human to know every craft, but we do need to know about the One that knows everything, for the more that we know about Him, the easier it is to believe that He is able to help us. Matthew 9:27 “When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, ‘Son of David, have mercy on us!’” Jesus had gone into a ruler’s house where the daughter of the ruler had died and a crowd had gathered to mourn her passing. The father of the dead daughter went to Jesus and worshiped Him and said to Him on verse 18: “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” Obviously the two blind men were part of the crowd that had gathered at the ruler’s house, they could not physically see but they knew what the commotion was all about. When Jesus got to the house He said that the girl was not dead but sleeping, after the crowd ridiculed Him, He sent them outside of the house and proceeded to raise the girl back to life, as Jesus left the house the two blind men, after hearing what had taken place, followed Him and His disciples crying out to Him, Son of David, have mercy on us. Here we see the two sides of faith clearly displayed. A desperate father reaches out to a man, not just a man, but a man of God whom the crowds are following because He is reputed to have supernatural powers to heal all those who are brought to Him. The father cannot bring his dead daughter to Jesus, so he brings Jesus to his dead daughter. He finds himself in a desperate situation, for if Jesus does not come right away, his daughter will be buried before the sun sets, so he goes for broke and all in. No hesitation, no wondering about the divinity or genealogy of Jesus, he just comes and worships Him and tells Him that if He lays His hand on his daughter, she will live. In the other side of faith, we have two blind men attending a funeral, their advantage was that they did not use their eyes to gather information for they were blind. So that when the crowd was put outside of the house so that they could not see the miracle that Jesus did, the blind men could see what had taken place by the reaction of the crowd when the girl was presented to them alive. So they followed Jesus, reasoning that if Jesus could raise the dead He could surely give sight to the blind. So that a desperate need as well as sound reasoning are key to releasing the faith that can deliver us. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” The substance of faith is in the realization of our desperate need, and the evidence is in the confidence that we show when we ask. Ephesians 3:12 “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” My confidence rests with His ability to do that which for me would be impossible to attain, but first I must realize that only He can deliver me. For as long as I think of a possible remedy for my situation outside of Him, there is no substance to my faith. And if there is no substance, then there can be no confidence, and without confidence there can be no boldness to access what we are in need of. Hollywood perpetrated a lie in one of their old movies that to this day many believe is a Bible verse when it is not, here is the quote: God helps those who help themselves. This is a false premise that is accepted by many people of faith as a true statement. But in reality God helps those who cannot help themselves, yet believe that God is both willing and able to help them. If you have a varmint problem, you call an exterminator. If you have a water leak, you call a plumber. If your power goes out, you call an electrician. And the reason we do that is because they are people who are trained to handle those situations, and we trust that their abilities will help us solve our problems. First we realize that we have a problem, secondly, we call on their services and trust on their abilities to fix them, but as you know if you ever hire somebody that did not live up to his credentials, it is a system that is based in trusting those whom we hire to perform. What we can draw from that is that men are fallible, but God is not. Where men will fail us for lack of honesty and or abilities, God will never do that. In order to have total and complete confidence towards God when we call on Him, we need to know about His honesty and His abilities, as one of our previous Scriptures told us: Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So that when we read the Scriptures in the light of what faith teaches, we need to ask these two questions: Is God really able to do that which seems impossible, and will He do it for me? Romans 8:31-32 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” The one thing that I failed to mention earlier when I was doing a comparison between the natural and the spiritual, was that some people cannot afford a plumber when their water main breaks, but thankfully with God all is free, for Jesus paid the price of everything that we are in need of now, and He paid it in full. So that Scripture clearly establishes that God will do the impossible for us all, and that He will also do it freely. So that the only question that remains is, does He have the power do it? Matthew 9:22 “But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.” There was a another miracle that took place in our opening text as well, a seemly unintended one. A woman that had been suffering for twelve long years with an affliction that no one could heal. She said to herself, If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well. She was made well when by faith she touched His garment. Here is what was meant by that miracle: Deuteronomy 19:15 “...By the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.” Jesus asked the two blind men, Do you believe that I am able to do this? We have three miracles within the context of the story that testify that Jesus is more than able to do what for us it is impossible. Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (our faith).” Previous Next Home

The Shadow of Evil Pastor Marcos Marrero October 9, 2023 The Shadow of Evil Objective: To reveal the biblical mystery of evil—its origin, purpose, and end—within God’s plan of grace, showing how Christ’s redemptive work assures believers of victory over darkness. Synopsis: In The Shadow of Evil, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores one of Scripture’s deepest mysteries—the origin, nature, and ultimate defeat of evil. Drawing from both Old and New Testament passages, he presents evil as a shadow: the antitype and opposite of God’s goodness. From the rebellion of Lucifer, through the curse of the law, to the rise of the Antichrist, Pastor Marcos traces how this shadow has taken form in creation and history. The book explains God’s redemptive purpose in allowing evil to manifest so that it could be fully exposed, judged, and defeated through Jesus Christ. Pastor Marcos shows how humanity, created in God’s image, plays a central role in this cosmic struggle. He emphasizes Christ’s atoning sacrifice as the antidote to sin and death, a victory that will culminate in the binding of Satan, the thousand-year reign of Christ, and the eternal glory of the New Jerusalem. Rich with biblical references and prophetic insight, The Shadow of Evil is both a theological study and a call to recognize God’s purpose and grace revealed “before time began.” It assures readers that while the shadow of evil is real, its days are numbered, and God’s eternal light will triumph forever. Sample first pages of the Book/Manual: Introduction: 2 Timothy 1:9 "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." (Bold and italicized added for emphasis) Before time began means that before God created our universe, He not only had a purpose for creating it—which had been hidden from us—but within that purpose was also intricately hidden the mystery of grace, and both were destined to be revealed to us in Christ Jesus. Romans 16:25 "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret (hidden) since the world began." (Words in parenthesis and italicized are added by me unless otherwise noted.) I believe this mystery to be the revelation of the purpose behind the creation which is two-fold, God's purpose and grace. Now we who presently know God's mercy and have tasted of the sweet nectar of God's grace toward us, in the salvation that we now enjoy in Jesus, have also been given the privilege to know the hidden purpose behind the creation in which we now exist. Romans 11:33 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God (God's purpose and grace)! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" It is with confidence in the abilities given to us by the Holy Spirit through the power of His grace that works within us that we now endeavor in searching out what God's real purpose was behind the creation of our universe, and how grace was the bulwark that sustained that purpose. Daniel 2:22 "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." I believe the key that unravels the mystery behind the purpose for creation lies in understanding the meaning of darkness and its interaction with light. We could also call it the struggle between good and evil. In either case, the true revelation of the mystery behind God’s creation can only bring glory to God and to Jesus Christ, who is the manifestation of God's grace, through whom also the abilities to reveal such secrets is given to us. Daniel 2:47 "…'Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.'" Chapter One: The Shadow Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." So many things within our physical realm serve as types of spiritual truths: Water Baptism, Holy Communion, and Holy Matrimony, which must be between a man and a woman in order to preserve its significance, all serve as symbols of great spiritual truths. I believe shadows to be a great metaphor—if not the greatest—for explaining the purpose behind the creation of our universe. For it is only within the physical and visible parts of our universe that shadows are cast, since without a physical figure exposed to the light in three-dimensional space the shadows cannot reveal their silhouettes. 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we do not look at the things which are seen (the things that cast shadows), but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary but the things which are not seen are eternal (there will be no shadows in the future eternity, for our eternal physical bodies will have flesh and bones animated by pure energy)." Since Paul admonishes us, regarding the interactions between the physical and the spiritual, to put our emphasis on those things which are spiritual—the things which cast no shadows—then let us ask this question: What spiritual type does a shadow represents? Within our natural understanding, our shadow is but a silhouette of our physique; from the general perspective a shadow/shade can be a shelter from the hot bright sun, or as in the Psalm above metaphorically speaking, a shadow can be seen as a covering of protection that God Himself provides for those who dwell in the secret place revealed to us in God's amazing grace! But there is a greater mystery revealed to us in Psalm 91 if we look closely; God is Spirit, and spirits cannot cast shadows for they are in essence energy—energy manifests itself as light which casts no shadows—so we must interpret the phrase, the shadow of the Almighty metaphorically of course. But just like the Light of God casts a good metaphorical shadow of protection, a shadow can also be interpreted as an opposite or a negative of what the real thing embodies. It is the same with God's goodness, which casts a metaphorical shadow which represents the opposite or a negative of the reality it mimics. You see, God is God, but He is also Good—as a matter of fact, the only One who is Good—that means that in the presence of Good, the opposite of Good—Evil—has to exist as a contrast, like a lurking shadow which has no entity; and since we know that the antitype of Good is Evil, the shadow represents the opposite of all that is Good, which is what Evil is: a shadow or opposite of God's goodness. Mark 10:18 "So Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.'" After being called "Good Teacher" by someone who was seeking salvation, Jesus makes the point to the seeker that if he is going to call Him Good, he is calling Him God also, since only God is good. Jesus seems to be going out of His way to make this point to us. Why is the fact that only God is Good so important? In order to know the importance of this question, we must ask another question first; Does Evil exist only here, part of our present creation, or did Evil exist before God created the universe, way back in infinity time or the time before time began? We can establish by reading the Scriptures that Evil took on essence when iniquity was found in Lucifer whose name means light bearer, who up to that moment was good and perfect; since he had been created in the image of God, like the rest of the angels and archangels. But we know that his nature was changed immediately from light-bearer to devil after he rebelled and was instantly removed from the Kingdom of the Heavenly Lights. Devil means the personal supreme spirit of evil. He also became Satan which means adversary or opposite; that means that Lucifer became Satan, the shadow or opposite of all that is Good, which is God. But the very fact is that Evil had to exist in some type, without essence of course, before the fall of Lucifer for Lucifer to be able to turn to it and become the essence of it. That brings us to what I call The Shadow of Evil. Way back in infinity time—before the creation took place—God, who is Good and has always been Good and is the only Good; outside of God, Evil had to exist but only in principle, due to the fact that the very goodness of God, which is the essence of God Himself, necessitated the existence of Evil, outside of God, to exist in principle; in order to affirm that goodness is Good and that Evil is bad, by the presence of the antitype—the shadow—which represented the very existence of Evil itself, yet without essence or form. God is infinite and He dwells in an infinity which is and will always remain undefiled, even by the mere presence of Evil. So that Evil could only exist as a metaphorical shadow that was cast by the Light of God's goodness, but existed only in principle, without essence or form. In other words, how can only God be Good if there is no antitype or contrast to His goodness? How can we be called physical humans if we do not cast shadows when exposed to the light? Angels are made of light/energy, they do not cast shadows. How can God be the only Good if there is no opposite or antitype to His goodness that defines what goodness is not? This brings us to the first part of His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. What was God's real purpose for the creation of our universe? Following the premise that I've just laid out, and employing our knowledge of God's character and virtue, it would have been impossible for God to create creatures that embodied the goodness and sovereignty of God in infinity time, without risking the corruption of infinity time itself. Here is what I mean, let's say that God creates the same angels that He created when He created our universe, but let us place them in infinity time before God created our universe. Since Evil had no essence back then, none of the angels could have known what Evil was. They would only have knowledge of the goodness of God, but since God created them after His own image which includes God’s sovereignty, at some point in time, one or some of these good angels might venture to test the boundaries of their existence and come to the flawed conclusion that there is goodness everywhere, believing therefore that they could be good without God. That flawed thinking is what brought Lucifer down, and the many that followed him. Isaiah 14:12-15 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars (the angelic class that God created) of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the pit." No one can be like God on their own for only God is Good; that means that anyone outside of God and without God becomes the opposite of what God is. The shadow which represented the fullness and sum of all that is called Evil, in an instant indwelled Lucifer, the entity who dared to claim to be like God, and by so doing became the host of Evil and the antitype of all that God is. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.” In our natural state it is hard for us humans to submit to another person, be it their counsel, their teaching, or their way of thinking, after all, in order for us to become our own person we have to differ somehow. Imagine how much harder it is to submit in the spirit to the Spirit of God, something which is foreign to our natural way of thinking. Our opening text reveals three things which are needed before we are ready to submit our spirits to be taught by the Lord to do His will. You are my God! Your Spirit is good! Lead me in the land of uprightness! When we say to the Lord, You are my God, is not like us saying to our medical doctor, you are my Doctor, or to our lawyer, you are my lawyer, for we can always get a new doctor or a new lawyer if we do not like what they tell us to do. When we say to the Lord, you are my God, His answer to us is, then why don’t you do what I tell you to do, is not like we can go and get another God, although some religious people think that way. Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do the things which I say?” So that a teachable spirit begins with the acknowledgement that God is God, and that besides Him there is no other, and that His counsel is the right counsel whether or not it makes sense to us in the natural. If we are not willing to accept Him as God Supreme, and His teaching and counsel for our lives as the final word, then we can say, Lord, Lord, with our mouths all we want to, we just deceive ourselves and His truth is not in us, for He will not accept us until we accept Him as our God in all His fullness. John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’” We do not get partially saved when we get saved, God does not hold anything back when we get saved, Jesus tells us that both He and the Father will come into us, to live in us, when we love Him and call Him Lord and keep His Word. Psalm 143:2 “...For in Your sight no one living is righteous.” None of us are perfect, so that we do not perfectly keep His Word all the time, but the idea is that even when we fail Him because of our weaknesses, we still recognize and acknowledge that His Word is Truth, and that His plan for our lives is best, even when we are unable to live up to the standards that He sets for us, and that is what makes us teachable, for we do not give up, we just keep trying to get it right. By our actions we acknowledge that Your Spirit is good, and that if we try to follow the pattern that His Word spells out for our lives, we will eventually learn how to abide in His will for us no matter what. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” This will probably be the hardest thing for us to master, total and complete reliance on His Word and the promises that are contained in it. In this we will all be tested, for it is critical for our spirits to learn to rely solely in the promises that are contained in His Word for us. Psalm 143:3-4 “For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me dwell in darkness, like those who have long been dead. Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is distressed.” Listen to the words of David during his time of testing, he feels like his soul has been crushed and that his spirit is overwhelmed by all the distressed that he was confronted with. But because of his love for God and his communion with the Word of God, he was able to call to the God of His love and rely in God’s promises to him. Psalm 143:7-9 “Answer me speedily, O Lord; my spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the pit. Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; in You I take shelter.” Notice how David did not blame God in the middle of all his trials, instead of running away from God, he turned to his God, in verse one he says: Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications! There is no doubt that David was at the end of his rope, for he said, answer speedily Lord for my spirit fails me. But notice how he learned during his trials to rely on God’s promises to him. Cause me to hear, cause me to know; since his relationship with God was based on the fact that God loved him, he cried out for God’s lovingkindness to be revealed to him afresh in the midst of his trials, and then he said, cause me to know the way in which I should walk, basically he had learned the lesson that the trials that came his way were teaching him, spirit, soul, and body, for he said, in You I take shelter. Lead me in the land of uprightness! The third thing that we need to recognize before we can learn how to do the will of God, is that there is the right way, and there is the other way, which always leads to death and destruction. We naturally do not recognize the other way until we walked in it for a while and get deep in, and if we trust God’s love and compassion for us enough, to call on Him in the midst of our circumstances that were brought about by our rebellion to His Word and destiny for us, then it becomes a teachable moment for us when He delivers us. Psalm 143:11 “Revive me, O Lord, for Your name’s sake! For Your righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble.” If we have truly made God our God and have a sincere desire to learn how to walk in His will for our lives, and we submit ourselves to the trials that are needed for us to learn how to trust Him, then His reputation is at stake, for His own name’s sake He will deliver us if we do not give up and quit. The hardest thing for a true believer to learn is this: What is God’s ultimate will and purpose for my life? I remember when I was young in the Lord, how I used to get so frustrated, I remember saying to God, how can I be what You want me to be if you do not tell me what it is that You want me to be? I had to learn to be whatever it was that I was needed to be wherever it was that God placed me. On June 2, 2013, my wife and I celebrated thirty-seven years of service to our Precious Lord, for we both got saved together at the same time and committed ourselves to serve Him for the rest of our lives. Have I learned what my calling is after thirty-seven years? Let me give you a hint, you can find it at the end of our last verse of Scripture. Psalm 143:12 “In Your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.” I believe that there is no greater honor that can be bestowed upon a believer of the Living God, than that of being called a servant of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! David might have been many things, and indeed accomplished many things for God’s kingdom, but when he found himself in the thick of trials and temptations, the only title that he claimed for himself was: For I am Your servant! Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Have you ever wondered where strength comes from? It seems that some days I have no strength and yet other days, I’m filled with so much strength. Then, sometimes I ponder, why hasn’t the Lord answered my prayers? I know my prayers are true and faithful, and yet it seems quiet. But in Isaiah 40, He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might, He increases strength. The big point I want to show in Isaiah 40, is verse 31: But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. That tells me that God isn’t ignoring me. He’s saying by not saying that I need to wait. 2 Timothy 4:14-18 NKJV 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works. 15 You also must beware of him, for he has greatly resisted our words. 16 At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. 17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen! Paul understood this and brought it to light when writing to Timothy. The Lord stood with him to strengthen him, so that He could accomplish His calling by preaching the gospel to the gentiles. 2 Chronicles 11:16-17 NKJV 16 And [b]after the Levites left, those from all the tribes of Israel, such as set their heart to seek the Lord God of Israel, came to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the Lord God of their fathers. 17 So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong for three years, because they walked in the way of David and Solomon for three years. When Israel and Judah split after Solomon died, Jeroboam was wicked and set up false priests of his own to be priests instead of the Levites. The Levites knew they were rejected but they ‘set their heart’, that is their thoughts and feelings to seek the Lord God of Israel. This allowed Rehoboam to become strong for three years because they chose to walk like David and Solomon before them. Great examples to follow… Psalm 52:7 NKJV 7 “Here is the man who did not make God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And strengthened himself in his [a]wickedness.” And you can strengthen yourself in things of this world or in God. In Psalm 52:7, you can see that this man trusted in riches and strengthened himself in wickedness. Here’s a good question, what or who do you want to be strong in? Do you want to be strong in God and face the world’s challenges with God or do you want to be strong in your own self, or in the wickedness of this world and face the world’s challenges without God? Daniel 10:19 NKJV 19 And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” In Daniel’s writings, you will find that he received his strength back when the Angel of the Lord touched him. This shows that we need God to be strengthened. Remember our opening scripture: Isaiah 40:31 NKJV 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. How do you choose to wait on the Lord? Psalm 91:1 NKJV He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. We, you and I take the initiative to ‘dwell’ / ‘abide’ before the Lord in the secret place. Do you set time aside just to speak with God and to hear (read) His Word? This is so important as a believer in Christ. This is where we gain our strength. This is what helps us stay strong. This is what helps us see what is coming, how to be prepared for it, and what to do when it happens. Everything, especially our help comes out of the Word of God. Psalm 121:1 NKJV I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. Psalm 20:2 NKJV 2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Psalm 22:19 NKJV 19 But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me. The psalmists recognize that strength comes from the Lord. And they cry out to the Lord. Another way to look at dwelling in the secret place is like a preventative way of action to ask for help from the Lord before you need that help. The Word of God and His presence is our strength. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we pray that your word does not return void. That your word fills our hearts and our minds, our soul, and our spirit. That we manifest your word and we share your word to others so that they learn of who you are and how you do things. so they can even better themselves and at least humble themselves before you, Father God, in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus, holy name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Welcome. I'm glad you can join me. We're about to have resurrection day here on Sunday. And since I'm going to be with family, I'm going to teach on Friday. Did this the last two weeks uh because of busy family time over the weekend. This teaching is called heaven's throne. So, we're going to get into how God keeps himself protected, keeps himself from sin, keeps himself surrounded by the things he creates for his pleasure. So, I want to walk you through heaven's throne and partially about end times. I went into end times last time, end time prophecy. So, we're going to talk a little bit more about that, but this is called heaven's throne. So, let's dive in. Let's go to our first two scriptures here. Psalm 103:19, the Lord hath prepared or set up his throne, his covering in the heavens, and his kingdom dominion rule with power over all. Thus, and then Isaiah 66 verse1, thus sayith the Lord, the heaven is my throne or my covering, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house that you build unto me, and where is the place of my rest? And he's talking to King David there about uh David wanted to build him a home, a temple. And David never had the opportunity to do that because we had of how much bloodshed he had on him. But Solomon, his son, was able to build the temple. And we know that the temple will be built the third time, which will be an end time prophecy. So notice here, I want you to see something. The Lord hath prepared. So the Lord took this action. And what action did he take? He set up his throne. Which that throne is a representation of your covering, of your protection. That's what he did. He has set up his covering in the heavens. And his kingdom is the dominion that's going to rule or with power over all. We are part of the kingdom of God for anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God. 1 John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits. If a person can't say, "I Jesus Christ is the son of God," then yeah, we got problems. But notice the covering part of this. This is his covering. You see, we can set ourselves up under a particular covering. Some people do it through a church. You follow that church's teaching. So you you place that covering of that church upon you. And it could be a denomination. There are many out there. Uh I mean a lot of denominations out there. You've got the Calvary Chapel, the Assemblies of God, 7th Day Adventist, Baptist, Methodist, and the list goes on. Okay? Now, I was not saying any of those in any particular order. But you can also place your covering upon you personally with the Lord which separates you from that. See, here's a key element that we need to understand about the heavenly throne room of God. This heavenly covering, it is a spiritual covering. We were talking about spiritual covering. When you have this covering upon you and you you establish it, see God established his own, when you do that through God and you avoid going through a denomination or a church or anything of that nature, what you end up doing is you're separating yourself from the things of the world. Now, is the church a thing of the world? Typically not. The church is part of the kingdom of God, part of the body of Christ. Well, here's the issue. What if that church has set up what's called commandments of men? They set up theological rules that you have to follow. Uh there are many churches who believe that in order for you to get saved, you not only have to confess, but you also have to get water baptized. And that's not scriptural. Remember the thief on the cross? So, the thief in the cross didn't get down off that cross to go get water baptized. Okay. So, here's where we're looking at it. We're going to be here in Revelation 4 verse, we're going to go through that whole chapter there. I want you to see and understand how God has established his covering upon him. And this is for your protection. So you can come into your secret place with the Lord, you and God, and you delve into the scriptures and you find out what kind of covering do you want to place upon yourself and it will be biblical. It would be scriptural just like a church does. Your body, your temple, you you have to be able to do this. And the heavenly throne room is set up as an example like this because then this teaches us how this is a foundation on teaching us how to deal with everything that comes up to the throne room. And part of it is also that you're putting God first. Remember Matthew 6:33, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all these things are added unto you. Amen. So start here in Revelation 4, chapter uh chapter 4:es 1 and two. After this, I looked and behold. So, I'm going to pause here for a second. John the beloved is writing the book of Revelation. And he is about to be called up to heaven, not to die, but to be a witness and to write down the revelation of it. Now, you say, well, okay, he's going to write down the revelation of whatever is given to him. This is all future prophecy. Do we really need to know that? It's going to happen one way or another. Jesus told the church of Sardis in Revelation 3, and the church of Sardis is a dead church. He said, "If you had been praying and watching," which is what he told the church to do in Matthew 24, you would have known the hour that I was coming. And a lot of people teach that no one knows the day nor the hour. But yet, there's scripture that tells us we're to be watching and praying to be aware of. So, we're in this setting where John is going to be revealed or given revelation of what is to come. Now, I am not an end time prophecy expert by any means. And for that matter, anyone who is. They're not God. I'm not God. We're not God. We're not going to know or understand everything perfectly or completely. What happens is we're going to know a part. And when our parts are revealed to one another, we all share our little parts together, a bigger picture that we have. And that will help us understand end time prophecy. So what we're going to do is that's the setting, the higher uh the overall higher setting here that we're looking at. But we're looking at the throne room at God in his throne room and how it's set up and how John perceives it. So let's get into that. So after this I looked and behold a door. Uh another word for that door in the Strong's dictionary is portal was opened in heaven. You see we do not see heaven and we do not see God's throne. Yet you're going to see that thunderings and lightnings happen here. We get storms, we see thunder uh we see lightning and we hear thunder. So, we know that these things do come to the earth because that's up in the sky, the heavenly area. But we don't see what John is seeing here. This is fascinating. But in order for him to see it, a door had to be opened. You see, if you're going to want to understand end time prophecy, what do you need to do? You need to get into the word of God and ask the Lord to reveal to you, which is opening a door. So, first things first, a door is opened in heaven. And the first voice which I heard w was as it were of a trumpet. Now, let's let's prepare ourselves here for just a quick moment as we're going to look at the throne room. There are weird things in heaven. He's hearing a voice that sounds like a trumpet talking to him. Like a trumpet is talking to him is kind of what he's saying. He doesn't see the person. He hears this voice because remember he's still on the earth. He isn't in the spirit yet. So he hears so it's like um like a faded um it's a like a warped sound kind of a trumpet sound that's he's hearing through this door and it's telling him let's go and look at that says uh and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet or reverberation. That was another way to look at this is that he's hearing the vibrations and his mind is understanding what it's saying means it wasn't actually speaking through a mouth per se. It was speaking through the re uh reverberation talking with me which said come up hither and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. So there's also an invitation from heaven. John was given an invitation. So the door was open. An invitation was given him. He heard it through a reverberating kind of sound. And he and and he's realizing that he's being offered a chance to go up to heaven. Now he doesn't say nope, I don't want to go there. He says or he records and immediately I was in the spirit and behold a throne was set in heaven and one sat on the throne. Now it's interesting that the word throne the word throne is it represents dominion power and here is God seated on the throne in heaven and John sees this. This is incredible because we don't get to see these things, but John was given the ability to record it so that we can actually get an idea of what this heavenly throne looks like. So, let's go into that. And he and he that sat or dwell was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone. And there was a rainbow round about the throne in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne was four and 20 seats. And upon the seats I saw four and 20 elders sitting clothed in white raignment. And they had on their heads crowns of gold or symbols of honor. So the first thing he noticed is the lighting. It's light. It's bright. It's like jasper and sardine. These are colors and they're very vibrant. And then he's noticing he's got 24 elders around him. It's like his own personal counsel, but they do more than that. You're going to see that here in just a moment. Let's continue on to verse 5. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices. Let's pause there for a moment. Let's think about this. So lightning, thunderings, voices. Again, we don't see that here on earth. We see lightning. We hear the thunder and we don't recognize that the heavenly throne is set up in this manner. It's got to be loud. But John is not just seeing the the bright lightnings. He's also seeing the the the coloring of God on this throne. And then he's seeing uh these 24 elders that are surrounding. And he's he's I would imagine he's got to be in a state of shock. was like, you know, the the jaw drop kind of thing, you know. And there were seven lamps of fire burning or kindling before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God. So, we get a little bit of insight as to who God is or what encompasses or makes God who he is. He is seven spirits. Now, we know him as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. See, we don't know but just a little bit of who God is. We know he's omnipotent. He's always been. He will always be. And he created us. He's powerful. But for that part of it, we know he's forgiving. We know he's merciful. We know so little of God. It's like, you know, we're gonna find out when we get to heaven and we're on the other side of this world. We're going to finally get to see more of who God is and find out more of who he is. What makes him work? Why did he do all this? These kind of things. These type of questions are going to be asked and answered. This is how we're going to see it. So now verse six, and before the throne there was a sea of glass like under crystal. In the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four beasts. Beasts are a live animal full of eyes before and behind. Beast live animals. Four of them. We need more information. Let me go to verse seven. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast was like, The second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle, and the four beasts had each of them six wings or feathers about him. And they were full of eyes or vision within. In other words, they can see. And they rest not day and night. They don't take break. They don't have intermissions. And they say, "Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty, which was and is and is to come. These are holy beasts." Now I I don't want to belittle it. They're beasts. Let's continue on real quick in verse 9. And when those beasts give glory or praise and honor, the the honor is the value or the money pays. They're giving honor to who? Jesus. Because Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God. They're giving honor to both God and Jesus for what they're doing acknowledging the paid amount uh to redeem us. And they think and and when these let's start from verse nine at the beginning. When those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth forever and ever, the four and 20 elders fall down before him that sat on the throne and worship. They kiss and fawn him that liveth forever and ever, casting and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, deserving, oh Lord, to receive glory and honor and praise, for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Pause. So these four beasts who can see everything because they got eyes all over the place. Praise the Lord. And when they do that, the 24 elders just drop everything. They throw everything back at God. They give them back the crowns and the the glory that they had earned for themselves and they throw it back to God and they say, "Here you go, Lord, and we praise you for you are holy, holy, holy, who is, who was, and who is to come." So he's got this atmosphere around himself that is constantly giving him glory, praise, and honor. Why does God do that? Well, we have to pause and think about that for a moment. God is omnipotent and he knows of how much power that he has that if he were to become corrupt, it would be bad. I'm just going to leave that there. It it would be bad. So what he has to do and what he does is he sets himself up an atmosphere of protection reminding him who he is, who he was, who he will become or be because he's always he'll never change. So he is being in the future as he's being in the now that he was in in the past. That is our beloved Jesus Christ. See, let's look at this from an interesting perspective. So, before all of creation took place, you had God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit that we're aware of. We see that there are seven spirits. So, there's more. But let's just talk about these three that we're taught and know about. We call them the Trinity. Even though that word is not in the Bible, that's what we call them because the three work as one that so much so that even though they're each individuals, we can't tell them apart. But before creation happened, they were all three. The spirit in the spirit Jesus left that son that he was in the spirit left that was pure powerful holiness. And he he left that to become a man to save you and me to redeem us to pay a price. He obvious obviously thought we were valuable to save. That's what Jesus did to the point that he's no longer spirit when he rose from the dead. He rose with a body. He now has a body. God the Father and the Holy Spirit are still spirit, but Jesus now has a body who now sits at the right hand of God in the throne. They share that um power, which is what the throne room represents. It's their covering and they and in that covering they've got praise and worship going on. Now, let's take this to our level. Let's bring us to to this level where what if we walked into the throne room of God. And you know in the spirit we do all the time whether we know it or not. We do. I when I start praying and I'm praying and I I'm actually entering into the and you want to know how I'm entering into it. I can't do it with my flesh but my prayers are in an incense type of form and that it's smoke and it's in the spirit going up to God and he hears the prayers and he moves. Now, we have opposition in the heavenlies where God sends the healing down. It's on its way, but it could take weeks before we get it. Why? Because we have an enemy that's opposing us. Part of that, by the way, is approved by God because God is also interested to know who you are. Where are you going to go with this healing? What do you, you know, are you going to thank me for that healing? Because nine out of 10en times many people do not thank God after they get their healing or after they get a particular revelation. You know, Paul when he was dealing with the thorn in the flesh didn't say what that thorn in the flesh was, but he asked God three times to to remove it. And God says, "My grace is sufficient for You know, the closer you get to God, the more you get to learn about him, the more you realize it is, he has made you understand and realize that you earn um what you do puts you in a position that the more you sacrifice under the hardship conditions, better off you're going to be when you get into heaven, when you get to that throne room, when you get to that element. Now, what about our walk? Because, see, I've seen questions like, "I'm a believer in Christ, but I still sin." Or, "I'm a believer, but I fall and I mess up again and again and again." What then? See, God has a hedge of protection around himself as an example for you and me to realize we need to put ourselves in an atmosphere where we place a hedge of protection around us. the name of Jesus as the son of God around us where we play the praise and worship music whether we're in church or at home especially if we're ministering we miss a service and we had to go do something else which comes up then these are the things you need to be prepared for you need to be prepared to go into ministry this is that next level calling and you have to put your protection around yourself which is the name of Jesus the son of the living God He's our Lord and Savior. And so if you don't want to sin anymore, you have to purpose in your heart that this is what I want to do. I want to give God the glory. I want to praise him. Well, then do that. Stay in that. Even though you have to step out, you have to go to sleep, you have to take a shower, you have to go to work, you have to do these things, you can always have God on your tongue speaking the name of Jesus, praising him, worshiping him because that's what's going to keep you from tripping and falling. And the Lord will show you, he's a lamp into your feet, a light into your path. He will show you, reveal to you the things that are coming up. This is the hedge of protection that we have been granted and we can have that. Let's look a little further. Um, Job is an interesting book. Job 1:10. Hast not thou made a hedge? This is the devil talking to God about Job? Look at what he says here. Hast not thou made a hedge in twin or shut in about him and about his house and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands. because you've kneed at the work of his hands. In other words, you approve the work of his hands. The transaction and his substance you bought. You you paid the price for him is increased in the land. You see, the devil's acknowledging. See, God is bragging about Job right now. And he's saying, "Have you seen my servant Job?" And um the devil's like, "Yeah, you got him so shut in and protected I can't do anything to him. That was God that placed the hedge of protection around Job. Job had God's covering on him because of the acts that Job that Job did. Even when his kids had a party, the very first thing when sunlight came up, he was over there um sacrificing animals just in case they cursed while they were under the influence of a drink. He didn't know if they did it or not, but he was praying on their behalf, interceding for them just in case. This is the kind of righteousness that Job had. And that place God's covering upon him, God approved it. And everything about Job, he was righteous and protected. And yet, God bragged about him and allowed the enemy to do what he did to him. But not once did Job complain or curse God. He talked and he said things like, you know, I believe him. He's my Lord. Hey, I came into this world naked. I'm going to leave this world naked. He confessed these things. But he never once cursed God. And then the devil had to leave him alone after that because God shut him in and protected and placed his covering over him. And wouldn't you rather have God's covering on you versus man's covering? See, when you rely on man and you rely on what man can do, you can rely on what a doctor can do. They're taking guesses as to what your problem is medically. They don't know who is your creator, who knows your body best, our God in heaven, who knows your heart. If you're truly interested in wanting to be in the ministry of the the word of God and you're really wanting to go forth and save people's lives, now is the time to go into all the world and preach the good news. This is why I do what I do. I'm trying to tell you guys, get saved now. Because when you see these seven years that are coming that's been prophesied and spoken of in Daniel and Revelation through John the beloved, when you see that coming where at the first 50 days, nobody could die. It's hell on earth. You don't want to live in that time period. Don't make it to that time period. Get saved now because the righteous will be removed before that time. Look at the conversation Abraham had with God before God went and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham was very concerned about the righteous being mixed with the wicked. And here the righteous stood up and said no. Uh my humble apologies. My grandson came in and just uh uh got me all Abraham had a conversation with God and as God was tell he revealed to Abraham what he was going to do. who's going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. But see, Lot lived in Sodom. And so God Abraham was like, "Wait a second. There's righteous and wicked." The two are entwined together. And so God Abraham asked him, "What if there's 50 righteous people?" And God says, "I won't destroy the city." What about there's 45? No. Won't destroy. How about 40? No. 30? No. 20? No. 10? No. When God destroyed Sodom, it was only Lot and his two daughters who were rescued. His wife turned around and turned into a pillar of salt. That's all that survived that because that was all that was left of righteousness. Same with Noah's day. Methuselah was number nine. He was the ninth righteous. Noah and his family were eight. When Methuselah died, that was it. There were no other righteous people. This allowed God to destroy the earth with the flood. Well, he's gonna do the same thing when he brings wrath and he pours it on the world, which is what that seven-year time period is all about. So, now's the time for you and me as teachers of the word of God to one, place that hedge of protection around us, and two, to go into all the world and tell people, you don't want to live in that time frame. Get saved now while the getting is good. Amen. That's what we need to do. And look at what else um in Job chapter 3 uh verse 23. Why is light given to a man whose way is hid and whom God hath hedged or fenced in? You see the light of the world is through us and in us when we stand with God. Even though we still fall, God has forgiven us and we're declared righteous. Look at Ecclesiastes 10:8. He that digth the pit shall fall into it. And who so breakth a hedge, a serpent shall bite him. When you don't have your covering, you're going to get bit by the devil because remember, he was the serpent in the Garden of Eden. And so, he's going to come bite you. You need to be in a place where you have God's hedge of protection around you. You need to enter it. Go to him. Start a relationship with him. Start talking with him and say, "Lord, I need you." And then spend that quality time with him. Don't just do a daily devotional that's anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes. Let it mean something. Purpose it in your heart and mind. Let your heart talk to God and say, "I really, really want more of you." And by the way, he tests the hearts of men. So, he's going to know. What else is he going to do? He is going to answer your calling. He's going to answer your prayer and he will be there and he will place his covering upon you and he will conceal you and hide you in his arms and nothing can touch you unless the Lord allows it. And then at that point if that's the case, something does touch you or something happens do what Job did. I came into the world naked. I'm going leave this world naked. I just give you the glory. Because see, God has an ultimate plan. Amen. He has his end goal. Read Daniel 9:27 gives you the ultimate plan. He's going to bring an end to sin, an end to iniquity, an end to transgression. He's going to close up vision and prophecy. He's going to bring an end to that. All of that's coming to an end. So, in the meantime, we as believers need to let the world know it's time to get saved. time to get saved and place ourselves into under his covering so that we're walking under his anointing and we are not convoluted or mixed up with commandments of men or polluted by theology that they can't get it and they'll never get it. Not until they humble themselves before the Lord and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and are saved. Amen. So that's just how it works. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word and we honor your word. You are precious and holy and worthy and honorable and we thank you that your word does not return void. Let your word fill our hearts, Father God, and let us manifest your presence and let us tell the world. Open the doors for us to tell the world now is the time to get saved. Thank you for showing us how you set up your throne room. Thank you for giving us the idea of how to hedge ourselves in under your holy protection. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for who you are. We thank you for building our trust in you. You know, I understand that we've been disappointed by role models and relationships that we've had here on the earth. Well, but with you, we can put all that aside and trust in you because you are always there even if we don't understand it. And I pray, Father God, that I can eloquently explain this message to the world on your behalf. So come through me, speak through me, you do this, Father God, and we thank you and we bless this word. We ask for your blessing on it. We thank you in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Uh I'm trying a little different background. We are here in Missouri now and I'm going to be here in this particular place for 6 months, maybe about five and a half months now. And uh so I don't have my lighting out, but this room is extremely bright. So I'm kind of hoping we have a little overcast today. Probably going to get a storm later this evening if I understand the weather correctly. Now we'll see. And then I still have this lingering cough. Pray for me in the name of Jesus. Let's get rid of this thing now. Yeah. you know. Okay, let's go to our opening scripture here. John 10:30. I and my father are one. And um this message is going to be about relationships. And I hope to build your um trust value or trust factor up with the Lord. That's my goal with this message for one and two to help you not look at God based on your worldly experiences. I want you to see God in the heavenly realm and experience him heavenly like. That's what this message is about. Amen. So, let's dig right in. So, it's called God the Father. We're going to be talking about the father role here. Now, notice though, we have an example in the word of God. Look at this opening scripture. John 10:30. I and my father are one. So, Jesus is saying that if you look at me, you're going to see my father. So if you know Jesus, you know the father. Jesus is the perfect example for us to follow in having that relationship because Jesus obviously trusted God. Let's go a little further. We're still in John 10. Now we're going to look at verses 17- 18. Therefore, my father loves me because I laid down my life that I may take it again. Pause. That very sentence is very powerful. Jesus is saying, "Yes, I'm going to go lay down my life because I know my father is going to pick me up and give it to me again. I'm going to pick it up actually." And and so let's pause for a moment. Let's let's identify Jesus, the son of God, here for a moment. I've taught on this already, so I'm just going to do a highle overview. But if you compare John 1:1 against Genesis 1 1-4, you will find that Jesus is the one who says, "Let there be light." There was light and it was good. So now Jesus has been the epiphany the whole time. This is him. The word of God is Jesus. Jesus John 1:1 I um in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus was the word. Jesus is the word. So we have the Bible today which is Jesus. So if you need to hear from Jesus, you don't have to spiritually hear. You can, but it always you need to check that voice because you don't know if a demon is talking to you. You have to be very careful. You check it against the word of God. If the word of God says exactly what you heard in your head, you know that's the heavenly father speaking to you. That's Jesus speaking to you. Jesus has been this role. So you can go back to the very beginning, you know, and I know I've been watching um on TikTok uh a true Christian ministry. I don't know the gentleman's name. I think it's Mike, but he he answers questions from people. A lot of their questions very interesting. You know, why would God create a hell? Why would God not just put all the good people on here? But see, this is what was so interesting is God chose this path. He knew what would happen. He made perfect utopia with Adam. No woman, just Adam and him. And they had this relationship and it was awesome. You go read this in Genesis 1, two, three, all the way to the end of three. And uh you can start to see when Eve comes in and then the deception. Uh you can see that God made it perfect. And what happened is Eve and Adam sinned. They disobeyed God. And the moment they did that, sin entered the picture and now everything goes corrupt. And and and I guess people don't understand that or don't want to understand. And part part of it is you have a generation today that the Bible was taken out of and they have no belief factor. And so they question everything, which is what a scientist teaches you, question everything. Well, you know, then you need to question a trust factor. Do you really trust the word of God above what scientists are telling you? Because see, scientists think they're telling you what they know. Do they really know the Earth is billions of years old? They don't know it. It's a theory. I But it's so interesting how they word it. You You could open up dinosaur books. A fact. Six million years ago, dinosaur. How do you know that? That that's not a fact. You see, you cannot trust science. But if you start with the word of God and you put that first and then you look at the evidence the earth offers, you will find truth. So now that should build your trust up a bit. So here Jesus, so when God made man in his image, he already knew. So he chose this path. So Jesus at that very moment had already been asked by his father, I need you to go lay your life down for me. Look at the scripture. Let's continue on in the scripture because this is what God had asked him. Look at this. Uh and and you know this because Jesus is telling us in his time. It's not written in Genesis. But watch this. Watch this. Says, "Because I laid down my life that I may take it again." Verse 18, "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down and I have power to take it again. this command I have received from my father. So Jesus clearly is saying, I'm doing what my father told me to do. And he said, I'm going to have my life again if I do this. And as I've taught many times when he caught up on that cross, he's thinking of every human being that's ever lived in this earth. And he says, "I'm here to save you." And he did it. He did it. He went to the cross and he died. And guess what? his body's not in the grave. He rose from the grave three days later. And this was simply his father asking him. So let's go validate what that means because this is this is very very powerful. This has an impact on you. Watch this. In Exodus 2012, one of the ten commandments is honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Now Paul reiterates it in Ephesians 6 2 and 3. Honor your father and mother. Look what he says. Which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Jesus fulfilled that. He honored his father. He went to the cross and said, "You commanded me to do this. I'm gonna do it, Lord. I'm gonna sacrifice my life because I know I'm going to pick it up again because you said so." He trusted his father. Now, I'm going to pause here and I'm I'm going to show you what you already know. How many of you were raised with no father? How many of you had a father that disappointed you? How many fathers or how many people had fathers that were drunks? They're men and they're sin. They're they're living in sin. But there are still many fathers who repented and did the best they could. So now in your experience, who should you look to? Now even if I, you know, I grew up with a Christian father. We became Christians when I was six years old. My father was strict, you know. He raised us properly. He taught me how to manage my money, taught me how to have that self-confidence in the world, how to navigate the world. And this is what our father should be teaching us. By the way, Godfather, our God, our heavenly father teaches us that. I'm going to kind of go into that a bit here in a minute. But I want you to see how sometimes our fathers didn't do that. Now, we may have had role models that we can follow, but there's always a disappointment factor. See, what people forget is we're in time. Time means we have a new day every day and it keeps on going till it ends, which has been prophesied it will end. God isn't in time. He is outside of time. So, if you live for God in January of 2023, but you kind of fall away for a few months, but then you come back cuz it's like a I remember my first um years as a young adult living for God. Sometimes I was on fire for God and there are other times he was the farthest thing from my mind. Months would go by without even reading my Bible or praying. And I remember identifying that and I asked God how to avoid that because I didn't want to live like a yo-yo. Now, did I lose my salvation in the midst of that? No. God was patient. You see, let's identify something here. So, if see, God is perfect gentleman. He's going to work with me. When a father is training a child, if you're training a toddler how to handle a gun, that toddler is not ready to handle a gun. So, you cannot do that. You see, you have to train them at the appropriate age that they are. So, when you are trying to train your young teenager who thinks they know everything, sometimes you have to step back and pray and leave it with the Lord's hands because they're not ready to hear anything you have to say. Right? So, in that January scenario that I just uh identified a few moments ago, if I was living for God in January 2023, let's say I'm 23 years old, just just hypothetically, and then I go five months without living for God, praying or anything, did I lose my salvation? No. Because what I did is like five months later, I said, "You know what, God, I need you." And I started again and I repent. But dad, no. God stood back because he waited for me to come back to him when I was ready in my time. That's what relationship is all about, guys. If you're trying to go ask out a a girl for a date and you're trying to see, you know, and you keep asking her, she keeps saying, "Leave me alone." Leave her alone. Pray if you want to pray. That might not be the right girl for you. But I'm going to tell you right now, you have to back off. That's what God the Father does until that person's ready to receive. This is why some people go to hell. They never want to have anything to do with God. That's their persona. That's their choice. They have that will to tell God, "Leave me alone." How many people I see it all the time on TikTok. How many people say, "Why do you force God down my throat?" We're not forcing God down your throat. The Holy Spirit is talking to you, but you keep doing this. And I'm telling you right now, he's going to back off, but he's going to remind you from time to time. Now, I know people who waited till they were in their 60s, close to retirement, when they said, "Oh, okay. Now I'll live for God." Because they wanted to in their mind, they wanted to enjoy the earth and everything it had to offer. Listen, my friend, you can enjoy Christ. You can enjoy life now with Christ at the center. You're not um withheld from anything. And if you think you want to enjoy drugs, I'm going to tell you right now, you never know when they'll take your life. This is why God teaches us not to have that. But here's this relationship factor that it it's about you. Now, this is you. This is your choice. You have to choose the right role model here. You have to choose, okay, Lord, I got to get into your word. I And and the only way you're going to know him is by reading his word. And if you think in your mind that you're stupid or dumb, I'm going to tell you right now, you are not. Because see, the Holy Spirit knows how to talk to you at your level. And you will get it. And maybe nobody else will, but you will get it. Because remember what Paul says, we know a part. Each of us know parts and God talks of uh talks to us in each of those parts. So let the Lord work with you and teach you and train you from his word. Let's continue on with the scriptures now. John 10:38. But if I do, now Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees. They're they're um you know complaining and blaspheing him. But if I do though you do not believe me, believe the works that you may know and believe that the father is in me and I in him. And so Jesus is taking it to the next level. He says, "I know you don't believe me. I get it." He says, "I I know you don't believe me." So he's telling the f Pharisees and Sadducees, which by the way, they reject him. They don't ever believe him. But here's the thing. He's telling them, "Even if you don't believe me, believe the works." Because he goes, "I did it because my father commanded me to do it." That's where your faith factor goes up. This is when you get to trust in the Lord because there's things and and it's all unique to each individual. I think I shared this in a couple messages ago. We were at an Airbnb about five or six days here before we moved into this place while we waited for them to get it ready. This is a brand new build here. And he we were all talking my family and I how we had prayed to God Lord I don't understand this part of scripture what what does it mean and each of us had done this at different times all on our own just talking to God and the very next day or within so many hours or within a few days each of us had an experience where either we turn the radio on the preacher starts preaching about that subject you asked God or all of a sudden you see a video and you see us teaching or suddenly somebody comes up and you guys talking about the Lord and the Lord tells you, that person tells you something and it was through the and you're sitting there going, "God answered my prayer." Believe the works. So, you see, he's telling you to believe the works. So, this is God training you how to trust him. Look at Proverbs. We got to go to Proverbs. This is important verse. Proverbs 22:6. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. So you as a parent do that and everybody looks at it from that perspective. But God as a parent does that to you. He's trying to train you up in the way right way to go. If you're 65 years old and you're re watching this video, he's still training you up in the right way to go. You got to understand time and death means nothing to God. He's just trying other than you know once you die and you keep rejecting him all the way unto death. That's an unforgivable sin. He you can't ask for forgiveness once you're dead. You have to repent here and now alive on this earth. So up until that moment that's the only thing. So God is working with you trying to reach you. And if you're getting all flustered and frustrated, stop shoving God down my throat. Listen, you're the one who has the skip, delete, no button, block button, use it. You want to reject God. Hey, that's your choice. Don't come complaining when you wake up in hell because it's too late by then. You rejected the one way you had out. And if you think that all ways get to God, let me tell you, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No man, no man comes to the father except through him. Through Jesus. So to get to him, you have to go through Jesus. That's the path. If you and you think, "No, no, no. All ways." No, no, no, no. If I lived in Los Angeles and you lived in San Diego and I told you to take the five north to get to me, and you decide to take the five south and you start heading off to Baja California and whatnot and into Mexico, are you ever going to get to my address? No. You will not get to heaven if you choose to go another way other than Jesus. You just won't. That's just the way this goes. So God is trying to train you. And Jesus, who is the son of God, who says, "You want to know the father, you got to know me because you'll know the father through me because I'm in him. He's in me. I'm doing everything he commanded me to do." If that's the case, then you need to go read about Jesus. You need to see the works that he does. And if you have been somewhat following Jesus, you go to church, but you don't see any miracles. You question that even miracles exist. You wonder, you have to ask yourself, are you asking God or are you looking to man? And this is again the relationship part. This is where you have to say, you know what, I'm not going to talk to man about this. This is a heavenly spiritual matter. I need to go talk to God. And if you think, okay, well, I don't understand and I can't hear from him. All you have to do, open up the Bible. open it up anywhere and I promise you he will speak to you. And if you need to go to the Gospel, start with the Gospel of John because then you can really see Jesus walk on the earth, do his miracles, save people, heal people, and then go to the cross to redeem us of our sins. That is what he did. And so as you begin to read though, you're going to realize your soul, your spirit is saturating the word of God and it's going to bubble out of you and you're going to find this good news that you have in you and you're going to want to share it. I'm going to tell you right now for those of you that say, "Oh, stop." The reason I want to share with you is because I found the precious, most beautiful diamond that's so rare and I want to share it with you. I don't want to keep it to myself. Jesus is life. Look at me. I'm living and I'm excited. I'm not suffering like you. I'm Watch the works in me. Watch the transformation in me. You can go look at all my videos up and even to today. Watch. They're all dated the ones that I started doing and you can see the transformation take place even in the element of teaching because that's how God works. I spend time and I want to share it with you and I'm hoping that you enjoy the messages. Get encouraged. Get lifted up. There's one guy on TikTok, I love him. He comes right around the corner. Jesus is Lord. This is a new day. And he just shouts it out. I love that. And you want to say no to that. You think a drug is going to make you feel that way? No. Because there's consequences. You might feel that way for a precious 30 minutes, but after that, oh no, there's a crash that comes that you just don't like and won't like. Oh, let's continue on with the word of God. And look at Isaiah. And and and this is what God is saying. Come, let us reason together. Come talk to me. I will answer your questions. It's right here. Look at this. Is God training us. Isaiah 1:18. Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord. I know. He says, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be wool uh be as wool." Because he's saying, "I know you're a sinner. I know you don't understand, but I want to train you. I want to have a relationship with you. I want you to trust me." He says, "Come talk to me so I can explain it to you." And he does. But if you're doing this, how can he talk to you? How can you? You're just going to keep repeating the same stupid questions over and over. Okay, no question is stupid. I know it's valid, but God will answer it, but you got to get in there and say, "Lord, I need help with this question because it's affecting me spiritually. It's affecting my walk with you. I I think gays should be loved." And then you go read John 3:16. For God so loved the world. Oh, you do love them. And then he reminds you, I don't love the sin. I love the person. and I'm trying to get them out of sin. Paul talks heavily on all of the New Testament books that he wrote. He tells you get away from sin. Run from and you will have the self-control to run from it because that's the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives you self-control. And if you have to ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, I need self-control. That's a gift of the Holy Spirit. And then see, then the Holy Spirit gets to move in you. And he does transform you. You know, I don't need a high from the world. I don't need to be out till 3:00 in the morning at a bar partying with my ears going deaf from the music. I I don't need any of that. I have the most beautiful, perfect relationship with God. You know, he he showed me go to bed around 10 or 11. Try not to stay up too late, you know. And of course, you learn this as you get a little older. I'm in my early 50s, 53 years. I'll be 54 soon. And all I can tell you is that as you do mature, you get a little older, you do change in your taste. You want to go to bed between 10 and 11. Get up between 7 and 8. Or if you have to go to work, get up between 6:00 and 7. You know, these are reasonable things. But the Lord teaches you this as you mature and when you're and this is why I was telling you God waits for you to come back to him. This is why I believe you can't lose your salvation. I mean, who do you think God is? Do you really think he's evil enough to say that in time you believed at one point in your time, but since you didn't believe at the point you died? I mean, what kind of God is that? That's not God. And that's not what's taught in the Bible. He shows you his love. He shows you his patience. He just keeps waiting for you till you return. And I want to even add an element there. He teaches you as he and he's showing you this as a believer and and and you want to judge the world. I get it. We all want to judge. But he's also teaching you to look at them with his eyes, not your eyes. If you're going to judge a person, which he's given you the ability, and he teaches you how to judge in the word of God, by the way. If you're going to judge someone, you need to judge them with facts. You don't know the facts between that person and God. And that's intimate. That's them. So, take your eyes off of them. Put your eyes on God. As Colossians 3 says, put your things on your eyes on heavenly matters between you and God. Focus on your relationship. And you know what you need to do? Pray. Pray for them. And the Lord will. And even if you don't know what to pray, speak in tones. Speaking in tonesues edifies you. Edifies your spirit. And if that's what you need to do, speak in tongues to let that judgment go, then do it. If you need to and you think you have a factual event, hey Lord, I think my family member ran away with this money, but I don't know. But I'm lifting them up to you and I'm praying for them. And I just pray that one, they repent. I pray that they find you, that they live for you, glorify you, and I pray that they are blessed and in good health. And you know, and you learn this too because God teaches you these things as you mature and you get more in him because you're living for him. You're learning more from him. And the more that you learn, you see now I I learned just what a year ago, maybe a little less than pray for my neighbors. Why did I learn this? You know, there was a lot of thief going, you know, a lot of people stealing things all over the neighborhood. I started praying and it stopped. And what was I praying? Bless them, Lord, with things that they need. If they're stealing, they either need it or they really want it. But Lord, bless them financially so they can go get it themselves and not steal it from somebody else. And then the neighborhood got better. That, my friend, is God training us, teaching us. Look at this. Proverbs 22:19. So that your trust may be in the Lord, I have instructed you today, even you. Look at that. He's telling you, I'm teaching you things today. Whether you even see it or know it, um it could be like a near miss car accident. You see that and you stop and you go, "Wow, Lord, you you did that." I there was a testimony somebody was sharing. I don't know how true this is, and it's an old testimony about a car getting into an intersection and a truck going through them and and everybody survived. I don't know again how true it is, but I do know that Lord does things like that and he does things to reach you at a level so that you finally see the heavenly realm there. Um, I was walking up the stairs. This was many, many years ago, probably about 30 years ago, give or take now. And I can hear and and this was one of those moments. God was the furthest thing from me. Remember, he waits. And I don't know what he saw in my future, but he saw something there because all of a sudden I'm hearing this little voice in the back of my head. I'm walking upstairs. Go to church. Go to church. And I'm And and this is going on in the back of my head, but I'm fighting it. What? And I turned around on the stairs to tell this voice, I don't need to. And I stopped because all of a sudden, I'm experiencing the presence of the heavenly father. and he said, "Go to church." And I did. That's when I realized the yo-yo effected and my life changed. So, every person has a personal experience with God like that. Let him train you. Let him show you. And then trust him. Look at this. Proverbs 35-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. For example, the LGBT community. There's a lot of Christians that don't understand what's going on. They're being deceived because they're saying, "You got to love me. You got to um I I got to be loved." And but what the LGBT community is saying, you have to bless my sin so I can go to God and say, "Look at how many people we got on our side. We must be right and you're wrong." Sin is sin, my friend. If you lie, that's a sin. A little white lie. By the way, God hates those more than anything else, bar none. He hates that. He hates that more than you being gay. Simple. Listen, you want to live gay, remember, God will let you be. He's going to leave you be. You want to live in sin, that's your choice. You're going to get a knock from the Holy Spirit from time to time asking you to repent. But if you want to live that way, that you you want to lie, you want to live in sin, you want to live in um carnality, sexual immorality, you want to do that, that is your choice. There are consequences to it. You see, when you live in sin, it will kill you slowly but surely. It's like marinating in the oven. Frog doesn't know he's dying when they have him on that heat until it's too late. So, but if you say, you know what, I'm going to go to God first. let me get my life right with God. I'm gonna put aside this sin and I'm gonna choose to live for him. That is what he's asking you to do. And he's trying to train you in that. He trains you on all of this stuff. This is how God works. He trains you and he protects you. He's your father. So, you know what I'm going to tell you right now? There is nothing in this world that you can be afraid of. And he tells you, do not fear. I think like 365 times in the new in the King James version, one for every day of the year. This is how God works. He's here for you. He just wants you to talk to him and he will reason with you. He will explain to you how much he loves you but doesn't love your sin. He will explain to you what carnality and sin is. Paul makes a whole bunch of lists. By the way, he talks about drunkenness. He doesn't talk about smoking. You want to smoke? Hey, have at it. But, you know, they're consequences. That's what he's talking about, though. He says, look at the consequences. You want to die, holy. Romans 6:23, the wages of sin leads to death is death. Wages of sin is death. But the second part of that verse says, the gift of God is life. You want to live a long life. Look at what Jesus did. He honored his father. And you said, "Well, he died at 33. He's eternally alive and he will be alive for the rest of his days in that body that the Lord gave him." He was spirit before that. He's now God in body. And he has all the people that want to live for him and believe in him. He has that. His an entire kingdom. He benefited. He got more than what he had before. and he's telling you, I honored my father. Do the same. And if you go back and you look at Abraham, King David, those are examples. They lived long lives. Why? Because they put God first. They said, you know, I'm going to honor my parents. And they did. You know, David had to wait many years before he became king. Even though he was anointed king early on, he waited. But he was the youngest I think of all his brothers. So he had all these role models to follow. But he went to the Lord and while he watched the sheep, he was talking to the Lord. A man after God's own heart. Oh, great example to follow. And look at this. Proverbs 35. Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in him. So here's the role model for you to follow. And that is Jesus, the son of God. He put himself out there and he honored his father and he is blessed. Now, I understand you're disappointing your parents. Your parents don't live the way you judge them to live by. So, I'm asking you to put that judgment aside. I'm asking you to pray for them, bless them, and I'm asking you to go to God. Go to Jesus, judge Jesus, and then ask yourself, which role model do you want to follow first? And I promise you, Jesus is going to lead you in the right direction. He, by the way, so I I'm going to put in a couple scriptures here. I want you to see there are all kinds of things that Jesus teaches you, God teach you that are in the word of God in which you can either train your children up in the word of God like this and use it as an example, use it with a real life application, but these are things that you want to be trained in. And if you're 70 years old and you're hearing this message, these are still things you can learn from. Look at this. And you may have already learned from it, but this goes to show you how the word of God is already teaching you. When you're ready, you come into his presence and he will teach you. Look at this. 1 Timothy 6:10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. What do you put first, Jesus or money? And in Jesus, there's other scriptures say, "Cast all that. Cast it out. Give it to God." I promise you, having the presence of God in your life is better than money. And I promise you, he will provide everything. As he says, uh Jesus says it, "If I can take care of the birds," and he does. They're well taken care of, he will take care of us. See, this is the trust factor. Now, this is where you've got to go into that trust. He teaches you these things. Look what else he teaches you. Look at this. Matthew 16:18 through9. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. He taught Jesus taught the disciples how to build a church. See, he's teaching you these things, but he's bringing you into the fold because he wants to train you up in the right way. You should go. If you want to, by the way, you know, if you choose to get saved but not live for him, hey, who am I to judge you? I'm not. Go live your life. You will be in consequences of the sins that you choose to continue to live in. But I promise you, the Holy Spirit's so nagging you. And you'll be like, "Oh, why are you reminding me of that, Lord?" Nope. I'm going to go do Hey, your choice. But I promise you, once you repent and you get back into it, you will be blessed. You are the And some of you sit here and I hear this all the time. Why do you get why are you so lucky? And I'm not. Well, I live for God. You're not there. That's the reality of the situation. So, let's continue on. He says, "And build the church." Verse 19, "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." He's telling the pastor of the church, you have the authority to bind up the strong men demons so that people can come into the church, hear, see, and believe. Because if you bind the strong man where he can't block the hearing, can't block the seeing, Jesus clearly says you will believe because when you see it, you will believe. That's what he says. Again, he trains you up in how to do that. And it's not just pastors that can do that. By the way, I did that coming here to Missouri. And that's probably why I faced Previous Next Home
