Welcome. Glad you can join us. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Let your word not return void. And Father God, I pray that we have a better understanding of the blood of the lamb. That we have a better understanding of your hedge of protection around us. that we can walk and believe in the anointing of your word and know that you've got our back and that we can speak your word and that we can walk away from destruction. Thank you, Lord, for opening our minds to this and bringing up our level of faith. Thank you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. I'm very excited about this message. This is called Behold the Lamb of God. Let's go to our opening scripture here. John 1:29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him and say, "Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world." Ah, he takes away the sin of the world. I love that. So, let's stop for a minute though and think about this for a moment because John knew something that the Israelites should have known and they didn't know. You see, John saw him as the lamb of God and said, "He's coming to take away the sin of the world." But all the Israelites, I think all of them if not most of them were expecting a king. And Jesus said, "No, no, no. He he came as the lamb of God, but he took he came as a king as well, but he took the kingdom off for a moment. Went to the cross and died as the lamb of God, shedding his blood and redeeming us, taking away the sin of the world, which is what John prophesied because it had to be done. So what is the lamb of God? What why did that happen first? Because you know Jesus is coming back a second time and he's coming as king and he didn't the first time which perplexed the Israelites. They don't understand it but God he explains it and Jesus explained it and he's showing us what he is as the lamb of God. So, let's look at who the lamb of God is and what he did did for us because when you get it, oh my goodness gracious, you you're just you're going to understand that the destroyer can never ever touch you. Oh, this is good. So, let's go to Exodus. Let's look at the Passover because the lamb of God is Passover. So, we're going to start here in Exodus 12 3 and 6. Speak ye unto the congregation. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel. God is talking to Moses. So, he's telling Moses saying, "In the 10th day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb according to the house of their fathers a lamb for a house." Now, uh he explains more. You can go read the whole chapter. I don't have the whole time to to read the chapter here, but I would like to encourage you to do it. He's going to tell you how much of a lamb you may need. You may have to share with your neighbor. Let's say you're only two people in one house, so you know, you can't eat an entire lamb, but you're going to have to eat it all. So the whole point of having this lamb is to eat it all. So go down to verse six. And ye shall keep it until the 14th day of the same month. And the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. Wait, wait, wait, wait. So you tell Moses, I want you all to take a lamb into your house. They bring a lamb into their house and that lamb is there for four days and then you have to kill it. which is Jesus came down to the earth and he was here for a while. We kept him on the earth. He was here. He kept himself here and then he had to be crucified. Killed. Well, the lamb is killed in each household. Now, the Now, remember, let's let's do a little overall hierarchy stuff here for just a moment. The Old Testament is a shadow of where Jesus was coming. man going and going to do what he was going to do. It shadowed it. It foretold us but a mystery. Whereas the New Testament reveals all the mystery. But the other part of this is that on the earth, everything on the earth is a shadow of everything in heaven. So like uh Moses had to create or uh yeah make create uh the ark of the covenant which has a mercy seat on it. Well, in the heavens there is an ark of the covenant. There's an arc and on there is the mercy seat. And by the way, the blood of Jesus is on that mercy seat. It's also on the one on earth. So this is they they're interacted with one another. So going back to look at the lamb of God, the lamb that the Israelites had to use to come out of Egypt. This is very important. So let's read a little bit more about uh what's going on and why God is setting up this Passover. Uh verse 7. And they shall take of the blood and strike it on the two sideposts and on the upper doorpost of the house houses wherein they shall eat it. And they shall eat the flesh in that night. Roast with fire and unleaven bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. So he's saying need you to kill the lamb. Then I want you to take its blood, put it on each of the sidepost. And then I want you to put it on the lentil. And then I want you to eat it all. So we have Jesus who went to the cross. you know, he he went to the cross and he he died. Um, and his body was broken and he was he bled and we take holy communion where we take the unleaven bread or a cracker and we break it. It's bruising. It's got discoloration on it when you bake it. So, it looks like it's bruised. And then you partake of that. You eat it symbolically. you drink of the wine which is the symbol of his blood. This is what he did with the um the last supper. So, and he did it before he went to the cross. So, he was showing him what needed to be done. Well, keep in mind they were shown this at the Passover. So, let's continue on here in verse 12. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night. What's going on here? Because let's look at this. Now, if you read everything, the the Egyptians had 10 plagues against them. So, we're talking about the 10th plague, the nine plagues, the lice, the frogs, and so forth. You can go read about the plagues. The 10th plague, God is coming in to take the firstborn son of all the people and of all the land. So firstborn cow, male cow, he was taken. Um if he but God who says he's going to do all this, he said, "I need to protect you, Israel." So he's giving Israel some protection because God says, "My spirit is coming to destroy." He's going to take the firstborn. Why? Why does the firstborn need to be taken? Do you remember what Pharaoh did? He told the midwives to kill all the maleborn children of Israel because they thought they were getting too great because they were slaves and they couldn't control them any longer. And so now God decides to demonstrate his power by hardening Pharaoh's heart. And so he sent these 10 plagues and the 10th one was the killer. This was the one. But see, God has to send his destroyer to everyone. The law is for everyone. Not just for Jesus to fulfill it and for us to let it go. Okay, let's read these scriptures. Let's keep that in the back of our mind as we read these scriptures. I really want you to get this. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast. and against all the gods of Egypt, I will execute judgment. I am the Lord, and the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt." Okay? Want you to get this. So he's telling them, "Put the blood on your doorpost and on the lentil and you go inside your home. You stay there." So during the night, the spirit of the Lord, spirit of destruction, the destroyer comes and he takes all the firstborn sons that were in a home or out in the field that were not covered or in the doorway of the blood. Okay, let's look a little further about this because I want you to get it. In um Luke says, "Now the feast of unleven bread drew nigh which is called the Passover." So when God passed over these houses, his spirit passed over the houses, it became a feast, a celebration that they needed to celebrate. So the Israelites, they have the blood covering over them every year by putting the blood on their post and on their lentil. And the spirit of God passes over them. So Jesus is the lamb of God. He's the lamb that had to be killed. It was in their feast. But you know, remember the Old Testament is a mystery. So they didn't understand what was going on. So as Jesus came and he had the last supper with his disciples, he's the Passover. So he's becoming the Passover. Let's take a look at that last supper a little bit more. 22 Luke 22:es 1 and 2 and then verse 7. Now the feast of unleven bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover, and the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him, for they feared the people. Then came the day of unleven bread when the Passover must be killed. So Jesus is going to be killed on Passover because he is the Passover lamb. And keep in mind uh Caiaphas, he's the one who kind of prophesied we need to kill the one before it ruins the many. So this is if you go read all of that that's in John, you'll be able to see all the manipulation, everything that's going on, but not just like by the Pharisees and the priests, but by Jesus, too. He's manipulating the whole thing to make certain he gets to that cross. That was his agenda. You see, he came, yes, as a king, but he had to lay down his kingdom and stand up as the lamb of God and take away the sin of the world first, which is what he did. Luke 22:14. And when the hour was come, he sat down and the twel apostles with him. And he said unto them, with desire, I have desired to eat the Passover with you before I suffer. For I say unto you, I will not anymore eat thereof until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this and divide it among yourselves. For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come. And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it and gave unto them saying this is my body which is given for you this do in remembrance of me. This or likewise also the cup after supper saying this cup is the new testament in my blood which is shed for you. Now we know that he just had holy communion with his disciples the last supper. So he says, "Break this is my body." And then he says, "Drink this is my blood." Now we know he got to the cross. We know he was crucified. He um had a crown of thorns placed on his head. He was scorged or whi whipped in his back, 39 lashes I believe it is, and he was torn up in his back. Uh they had nailed his hands and his feet to the cross, and he bled from those areas. But and and the whole point of the cross, by the way, is suffocation at its crulest, if you ask me. But basically, when they pin your feet down, there's a little um shelf for you to be able to push yourself up because when you are on the cross and you let you loosen your muscles, it compresses the lungs. You can't breathe. So, in order to breathe, you had to push yourself up, take a breath, and then collapse. And it got harder and harder because every time you push yourself up on a broken heel, bruised heel. If you go look at the curses against the Satan in Genesis, you will see that Jesus heel was bruised. Well, when he pushes himself up on that bruised heel that's hurting, it's in he's in pain. He's in a lot of pain. He has to take his breath in that pain and then come down. Now, what's going on in his body is a whole lot of things. He's suffocating, which his heart is working twice as fast, if not quadruple fast. You know, it's moving to try to get enough oxygen to the brain to keep the brain alive. So, the rest of the body starts shutting down. And it got to the point where the the um heart is pumping so fast, so hard that the water and the blood separate. So when the centurion came because they could not have people uh on the cross for Passover, he broke the legs of the two thieves and then he stabbed Jesus because he it looked like Jesus was already dead. So he is just going to make certain. So he stabs him in his side and blood and water flowed. And when that blood hit the ground, it shook the ground. And with that cross standing there, it split the ground. That blood went down into the ground and it landed on the mercy seat. The uh ark of the covenant on the earth is hidden underneath that cross and the mercy seat landed there. It was also placed on the mercy seat in heaven. And Jesus took away the sin of the world. Now what does that mean? What where does this go? Because I want you to see something here that I think is powerful. Let's read the next scripture first. Says Hebrews 4:12:24, "And to Jesus the mediator." He's the go-between of the new covenant contract and to the blood of sprinkling that speaketh better things than that of Abel. Abel is the when you are killed, your blood is on the ground and it is calling out to God for revenge. Avenge me. Avenge me. Well, that avenging needs to be met. So, God hears that. We don't, but he does. So here, he had to come and now shed his own blood. So what does this do? You see, God has his law. He can't take the law back. The law is the law, and someone had to meet that law. Well, no, none of us could. You can try as hard as you can to follow the Ten Commandments. I'm going tell you right now, you're going to fail. The Ten Commandments tells us we're failures. But Jesus says, "I'm not a failure. I'll fulfill it." And here's what he did. So when he, the lamb, the lamb of God, got up on the cross and shed his blood, he said, "I want you to put my blood on the post of your door of your heart and on the lentil of your heart. and I'm going to pass over you when it comes to judgment for sin. That's what the lamb of God is. We have the blood of the lamb over us. Now, how does this work? Let's let's look at this. remember uh Rahab and um the walls of Jericho coming down. Remember what the spies told her to do? Put a scarlet red thread out your window. And see when the Israelites, the priest, and they sh they blew the trumpet and they shouted and the walls came tumbling down. The only wall that did not come tumbling down was Rahab. And she had her whole father's household in there with her. They survived and they were able to come out cuz there's a spirit of destruction that went against the walls of Jericho and those walls had to fall. But because that destroying spirit had to go hit all the walls, the destroying spirit knows that if it sees the blood, it sees the red, it has to pass over. It's required by God because that's how the rule is set up. The rule is set up that if I deserve death against me because maybe I killed somebody and that death is supposed to come against me because it's a curse. It comes back at you. A lot of people don't understand the curses. But when that curse comes back at you, if you have the blood of Jesus over your heart, it has to pass over you because that is what the new covenant, the new contract is all about. So when we partake of holy communion and we take that bread and we re we do this in remembrance of what Jesus did on the cross. We're remembering him on the cross. We're seeing him on the cross. We're remembering everything he went to. That tells us he's going to pass over us. That's what holy communion is about. That's what the lamb of God is. This is what he had to do first. And this is a good thing because I'm going to tell you right now, there's so many curses that are coming against us. We are living in a land of sin. We are vexed by what's going on out here. But all those consequences have to pass over us because we have the blood of the lamb on us. Oh, this is awesome. Hebrews 10:12-17. But this man, after he offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth, expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified, or to made made holy, made holy. We are made holy because of his one sacrifice. Continuing on in verse 15, whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us. For after that he had said before, this is the covenant contract that I will make with them after those days, sayeth the Lord. I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and their sins or offense, and iniquities or illegality will I remember no more. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He is the lamb of God and he passes over us and he doesn't remember our sins and illegalities anymore. We are legal. You see the blood of the lamb had to fulfill the law. So it had to go on the post had to go on the lentil of that gateway so that when the destruction was coming, woo, that destruction stopped and says there's blood here. I can't go that way. I have to pass over. Meaning, you cannot be destroyed. The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. You are the church. By the way, your body is the temple of God. So now when you take holy communion, your heart's post has the blood on the left and the right and on the lentil and nothing can come against you. Nothing can break through. It has to pass over because these are God's destructions. God is the He's the spirit of the Lord is the Lord that comes in. The spirit that comes in to destroy. He's gonna destroy. He goes after, but you have protection against that because he says, "I give you my son and I give his blood to redeem you, to pardon you, to free you. You are covered with that blood and you do not have any more destruction against you." What is destruction? What is destroying? Cancer kills. Sickness kills. financial issues kill. But God says, "I will pass over you because behold the lamb of God. Jesus our redeemer came and he shed his blood for us, for you and me. He is the lamb of God. He fulfilled the law. He gave us a way out. He pardoned us. He redeemed us. Does this mean I go on continuing to sin? I do my best to stop. But I'm in the flesh. But here's the thing that I can take from this. When I know that the destroyer can't mess with me, that means I can't die from that. I love it when Paul says, "Oh, death or death were interesting." Which he's quoting the Old Testament. And I don't remember who he's quoting, but you can go look that up. When he says that, that's the most powerful thing because now we come to the realization as a believer in Christ, this stuff can't get me. Remember, what's on the earth is a shadow of what's in heaven. So when Jesus says, "I give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth is loose in heaven." The two work together. And in the heaven, the blood of the redeemer of the lamb of God is already on the mercy seat. And that blood is over you, causing the destroyer to pass over you. You no longer have to deal with the corrupt. In fact, you can wake up every morning. His mercies are new every morning. And you can stand there and says, you know what? I'm going to have a great day. And I'm going to have this great day because the Lord has provided it. He's already blessed today. I'm on his side and he's got his covering protecting me. So, whoever's talking behind your back about you or who's ever trying to bring you down or who's ever trying to attack you mentally, physically, whatever the situation may be, guess what? You get to look up and say, "Behold the lamb of God. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. Jesus is the son of God. Jesus's blood is on the doorpost and the lentil of me. So I am inside the house because I'm a temple of God. I'm on the inside of the house and the doors are covered with the blood of Jesus and no destroyer. Nothing can get me. Nothing can touch me. I hope you get this. And if things happen, they're happening now for a reason. Meaning God is up to something with you. He's talking to you. He's trying to get your attention. And whatever the situation may be that you're dealing with, the first thing always, always, always the first thing, humble yourself before the Lord. Go before him and say, "I'm sorry. I messed up." You see, once you do that, that's where that destroyer has to back off. the attack has to back up. You know what? I had CO I had CO uh at Christmas time at the end of that year. And I remember I put up a Christmas tree and I the Lord clearly told me not to do it and I did it anyways. And uh I I was sick as a dog. I mean I was I was sick and those three days I and I was praying and humbling. Okay, let me just simply say I was praying and I couldn't really cry too hard because I couldn't breathe. That was my issue. I couldn't breathe. I don't know. I I I'm just like, Lord, you know, I I'm having to trust in you on this. I need you, but if you're going to take me, don't let me suffer. Just take me and send me home. And there I am repenting, humbling myself because that's what we're supposed to do. That's what the scriptures tells. I want you to come back. He says, "Come back. come back. So 3 days in and I remember I don't remember was that evening or the next morning but I think it was that evening I all of a sudden I was like breathing fine and it was almost like instantaneous and it was even weirder because it felt like in my lungs like I couldn't um get to because I was shallow breathing those three days. I couldn't breathe any it was like a there was a a barrier there. I couldn't get past this barrier. But three days, all of a sudden, I can get past this barrier. And then, of course, you have to retrain your lungs to get back to breathing. So, I was having to breathe deep, was taking that inhaler, try to get the medicine down into the bottom of my lungs, but I was it it it almost cleared up instantly. I was like, "Wow, thank you, Lord." And my life has changed drastically since then. You know, I am definitely being obedient to the word of God. And I was like, "Okay, Lord, you want me to be this way? I want to be this way too. He wants to bless me. I want his blessings. You see, I know that he is my creator. I know that he has made a way for me to come out of the consequences because I'm going to tell you right now, we were born and conceived in sin. So, I know that Jesus took care of that and it was a free gift. So now I get to come before him and humble myself before him and say thank you. And that's what I do. He's my redeemer. He's the lamb of God first. Now he's coming back as king. And boy, do I look forward to that day. I don't look forward to what's going to happen in between. But the end result is that God has a plan. And that end plan is drastic. So eventually all of us are going to end up on the other side. So the question is where do you want to end up on the other side? You want to end up in the presence of God in heaven or do you want to end up in hell? Do you want to blame all this on him and just you know it's his fault. That's between you and God. You have the right to do that if you want. You're angry with him. You hate him or whatever. You go talk to him. He wants to hear from you. But have an open mind when you find out the truth and you realize the truth and that he is your lord over your heart and so that your gate, your body is covered by the blood of Jesus. Make sure you take your holy communion too. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Thank you. Your word will not return void. You are holy. You are the son of God. You're king of kings. You are lord of lords. And you have fulfilled your duty. Your father asked you to do. And it is such a simple matter. Your will is for us to believe. All we need to do is believe. And I believe. I believe that you are the son of God. I believe that you are my redeemer. and I believe that you're going to raise me from the dead when my turn comes. I believe in you and I look forward to meeting you face to face. SOME HEALINGS ARE A JOURNEY The objective of this teaching is to reveal through scripture that Jesus heals in different ways and according to different purposes, and that some healings require a journey of faith, obedience, endurance, and spiritual growth. This teaching encourages believers to trust God even when healing is not immediate, showing that faith is developed through hearing the Word, acting in obedience, and believing that Jesus Christ still heals today. Through biblical examples and personal testimony, this study demonstrates that healing can come instantly, progressively, through spoken words, through faith-filled action, or through a process designed to reveal the works and glory of God. Synopsis: In Some Healings are a Journey, Minister Lisa Kane expands upon the account of the blind man in John 9, exploring how Jesus used different methods to heal people throughout scripture. Beginning with the blind man’s journey to the pool of Siloam, this teaching highlights that not every healing happens instantly; some require a walk of obedience, faith, and perseverance. The study examines how Jesus healed through spoken words, touch, rebuking spirits, forgiveness, acts of faith, and even through a process that unfolded over time. The teaching compares the healing of the blind man to God forming man from the dust in Genesis, suggesting that Jesus demonstrated His role as Creator by completing what was lacking in the man’s physical body. It further explores other healing accounts including the woman bent over with infirmity, the paralytic lowered through the roof, the epileptic child delivered from demonic oppression, the woman with the issue of blood, and Jairus’ daughter raised from the dead. In each example, faith, spoken words, and obedience played a central role in receiving healing. Minister Lisa also shares a deeply personal testimony of her own healing journey from diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and hormonal issues. She describes how her healing required overcoming fear, building faith through the Word of God, and taking a courageous step of trust in Jesus Christ. The teaching concludes with a powerful encouragement for believers to ask, seek, knock, and believe that Jesus is still healing today. Inspired Teaching: This past Sunday, 5/3/26, I heard Pastor Steve Randal, a guest speaker, speak at Servant’s Church on John 9 regarding the blind man. It was a short but very good teaching. It’s on Facebook if you want to check it out. I want to take that teaching and expand on it with additional scripture and more insight. John 9:1-7 NKJV Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I[a] must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. 7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing. There is a belief that exists, in which I support because scripture shows us this, that sin causes sicknesses; and we know in the ten commandments that sin is passed down to the third and fourth generations. So, it wasn’t unusual for the disciples to ask Jesus who sinned caused this man to be born blind. But Jesus response is remarkable…God did this to this man on purpose to show the His works in this man. Meaning, this man lived his childhood with no eyesight. Then, look at the way Jesus healed him. He spat on the ground and made clay. Then He rubbed (anointed) it over his eyes. Genesis 2:7 NKJV 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Let’s think about what Jesus did and compare His action to when God formed man in His image. Here’s what I believe based on Jesus’ actions: He completed forming this man’s eyes. It’s like God decided to wait in completing this man’s image so He can show the world He’s the creator. This leads me to believe that this man was born without eyes. That’s speculation on my part but reasonable because God/Jesus finished putting clay in his eyes to finish forming him. But there’s more. Instead of ‘instant’ healing him then and there, He sent him to the pool of Siloam or called Sent, to wash. Now, if you went and watched Pastor Steve Randal’s teaching on this past Sunday, 5/3/26 on Facebook, he showed us a map of where the blind man was when Jesus put the saliva clay mix on his eyes and how far of a walk it was for this ‘blind’ man to journey to the pool of Siloam. Now I’m sure this man was used to these kinds of journeys, but this one was different. He walked with clay on his eyes down that pathway to the pool of Siloam in obedience. He did this because Jesus told him and he believed. How many people saw that? You see, Jesus didn’t heal to only show the group surrounding the blind man, but He showed the healing to all the people who saw the blind man journey with clay on his eyes. Maybe even some of them followed him to see what was happening. When he cleaned his eyes in the pool of Siloam, he was able to see. What an incredible healing this was orchestrated by God Himself. And it is still being showed to the world today through the scriptures of what God did. And this is where the title of this teaching comes into play. ‘Some Healings Take a Journey’. I can tell you from personal testimony how true this is. When I look at scripture, I see different healing methods. I want to share those different healing methods in this teaching to show you there’s more than one way to be healed. Luke 13:10-13 NKJV 10 Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way [a]raise herself up. 12 But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. The woman who was bent over was bound in her infirmity. Jesus spoke loosening her from her infirmity and laid His hands on her. She was healed. Luke 5:17-26 NKJV 17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present [c]to heal them. 18 Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. 19 And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus. 20 When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, “Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, “Why are you reasoning in your hearts? 23 Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’? 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen strange things today!” Jesus forgave sins and healed at the same time because of faith. Again, He spoke over the situation. Matthew 17:14-18 NKJV 14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is [c]an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O [d]faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Jesus rebuked the demon and healed the child from that very hour. Again, notice Jesus spoke over the situation. Luke 8:40-56 NKJV 40 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. 41 And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, 42 for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. 43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter [o]and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, [p]and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” 46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” 47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. 48 And He said to her, “Daughter, [q]be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” 49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the [r]Teacher.” 50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” 51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go [s]in except [t]Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But He [u]put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. 56 And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened. This event in history is very interesting. The faith of a woman with an issue of blood healed herself while a 12-year-old girl died. Jesus raised the little girl from the dead, thus healing her. Again, He spoke over the little girl but notice, the woman spoke over herself. Let’s see this in Mark. Mark 5:25-29 NKJV 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” 29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the [a]affliction. First, let me point out that every time someone was healed or risen from the dead, a word was spoken over them, whether by Jesus or spoken in faith by that individual. Second, all who were healed came to Jesus because they believed He could heal them. They heard and was obedient to the hearing of the Word. Romans 10:17 NKJV 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. In some cases, the scripture tells us they were healed within the hour. And as we saw in John 9, the blind man wasn’t healed until he made the journey. Jesus told him to go, and he went. He was obedient because he heard the word and he was healed. In my personal testimony, I was like the woman with the issue of blood, spending years and money with doctors dealing with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and hormones. I wanted healing and deliverance from those things. It took me about six weeks to build up my faith to walk away from all of that. And today, I am healed. It was a process where I had to be ‘blind’ to the doctors prognosis and see that Jesus is more than capable of healing me. I had to ‘learn’ to have faith and act on that faith…it was the scariest thing I had ever done. I believed, and I’m not sure where this belief came from but I believed that I would die quickly if I didn’t take all of that medication. It may seem like a crazy statement but that’s what I believed. Once I took my leap of faith, and I didn’t die, I believed Jesus healed me. In fact, I’m in better health today, and have lost 55 lbs since I made this leap of faith. This healing took me through a scary journey but Jesus healed me. The last point I want to make on all of the healings I know of in scripture is that each needed to believe. Do you believe that Jesus can heal you? Matthew 7:7 NKJV 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 is an incredible scripture. It tells me that God would move heaven and earth to give you what you ask. Have you asked Him and do you believe? He’s still healing today. Previous Next Home

I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Friday, September 15, 2023. Welcome. This message is called, "Do you want to be free?" It's a very good question to ask because did you know that you're putting your own obstacles in front of your freedom? Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We know that your word does not return void. We know that your word is true. We know that we can believe and have faith in you, Father God. So, I do pray and ask that you help us with our unbelief. Raise our faith. Raise our belief and let us hear your testimony and know that you are true and that you are real. And that yes, we can live in freedom from bondage from sickness, from disease, from any chains that are holding us back in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to be at John 12 and 40. He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn so that I should heal them. Jesus is talking, but he's also quoting the scripture from Isaiah. So, he's already said this through Isaiah well before his crucifixion at the cross. So the question is do you want to be free? There are things that we put in place of Jesus will believe a doctor's report over what Jesus says. Now in this message I'm going to share my testimony. Uh I have a couple areas of testimony I want to share with you. So I'm going to have less scriptures than I ordinarily do when I teach. But I think the power of the testimony is going to help you with your faith. And then at the same time, I'm going to show you scripture of why how Jesus was able to heal and then how he wasn't able to heal and the things that we put in place. So I want to see the scripture one more time. Look at this. He blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts un lest they should see with their eyes. So in other words, if you see, look at that. And if you understand with your heart and you turn, get away from what you're keeping yourself in bondage from so that I should heal them. You can be healed. You see, your unbelief is what's keeping you from being healed. Let's go look at things that we put above Jesus that keeps us from our healing. Let's start here in John 12:42 and 43. Nevertheless, even among the rulers. So he's talking about all these things that he did that were miracles and he says nevertheless. So these guys saw the miracles. Nevertheless, even among the rulers, many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees, they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue, for they love the praise of men more than the praise of God. They didn't want to be kicked out of the synagogue. So instead of believing in him for one, their salvation, for eternal life, but two, for the deliverance and the healing from whatever is keeping them bonded, they chose the synagogue to believe. We can put this in another application. Do you choose the doctor? Do you believe what the doctor tells you? Or do you believe that Jesus is your doctor and your healer? You know, Isaiah tells us that it was by his stripes we are healed. Peter tells us that it was by his stripes we were healed. Fact that it's quoted a second time is very powerful. His stripes is what healed us. You can be healed. And bondage um let's talk a little bit about bondage chains. When you're in bondage, there's several things that are going on. You are struggling believing. You're struggling being well because you're always sick. You're struggling with things that are going on in your life. I It's drama after drama after drama and you can't figure out why. You have no peace and no joy. Those are telltale signs that you are in bondage. And you're in bondage because of you. You did it. You thrive on that drama. So what happens is you put yourself in a situation where you make it so that drama happens more. I know of a couple who is struggling right now and um so working on helping prevent divorce. The other is now going to try to film the other. You see they're promoting their drama. They're getting sympathy for their drama. And because they're getting that sympathy, they don't want that drama to go away. And then of course, if the doctor's telling you you have cancer, you know, there's things going on in the back of your mind. The reason you went in to be tested, you knew something was up. So here you are is you already are thinking in your mind, I knew it. That's why the report says what it says. Don't you know that Jesus is a healer? He's your healer. The bonds and then the the decisions that you make, you know, if you were to remove that item from your life, would you get sympathy and love from anyone else in the world? You see, there's a big problem. We love the interaction with our psychiatrist. It's our friend. We want to be there. Instead of having the same interaction only better with Jesus, you pick and you choose and you put yourself in bondage. So when you do something like that, what is it that you need to do to get out of that? Because it's now your problem. You did it. You got to get yourself out. Now Jesus is there to help you, but he's already given you all the tools in the word of God. And I'm going to show you even the disciples struggled with this. Well, let's let's go here to Mark 6:52. For they had not understood about the loaves because their heart was hardened. Just did a teaching on this. This is where he taught the five or fed the 5,000 um five loaves and two fish I believe it was. And as they had 12 baskets left over of food, bread and fish, and the disciples hearts were hardened. They didn't pause. They didn't think about it. They didn't let it impact their heart. So, they didn't believe, but they were witnesses to it. So, Jesus is identifying the hardness of their heart. Let's continue on. Now, further along, we're in Mark 8. Look at verses 17- 21. But Jesus being aware of it said to them, "Why do you reason because you have no bread?" So here they're going into um an area that they're going to teach and the disciples forgot to bring bread. They've already fed 5,000. Look what he says here. Why do you reason because you have no bread? You see Jesus asked a question here about the leaven and the Pharisees. You can go read this all in context. Homework for you is what I give you. And because their heart, their mind went to, oh, he found out we forgot the bread. And so he he knows, he says, look, why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Is your heart still hardened? You see, he's telling you, you are just witnesses to some pretty good miracles, and your heart is still hardened. Does Does miracles really work? Do you know how many people will reject a video that they see? Let's say even in the back of my mind, I saw a video of a woman's arm being restored. It was um she was born with it twisted and and but you can just see it untwisted, but sometimes I wonder is that fake? But I I always go back to no, that was real. And I believe and the reason I see that is because of the the other context behind the video. So, I believe, but there are many who won't. They'll say that's a hoax. This one wasn't a hoax. Let's continue on. Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? You see, he's now pointing it back to the disciples. This is your problem. You're the one who is purposely forgetting. You're the one who is purposely hardening your heart. Now, continue on with the scripture. We're in verse 19. When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many baskets full of fragments did you take of it? And they said to him, 12. And then also, when I broke the seven for the 4,000, "How many large baskets full of fragments did you take him?" And they said, "Seven." And he said to them, So he said to them, "How is it you do not understand?" You see, you should understand that's a miracle. Jesus blessed bread and he kept giving it out. Imagine if you bless your body with good health. It keeps getting blessed and it keeps getting multiplied. Do you not see the healing? All it takes is you blessing yourself and remembering. Imagine saying Jesus is the son of God. And he is Lord over cancer. He is Lord over this body. He is Lord over my mind. He is Lord over my heart. This is the power of the word of God. And you need to remember it because as you forget, your hearts become hardened. And what happens when you're forgetting? What's causing you to forget? Your eyes are on the world. Your eyes are not on the scripture. Your eyes are not remembering. This is why I want to share my testimony. one, I want to remember what the Lord has done in my life. At the same time though, I want you to hear the testimony and I want you to believe because you were already healed. You're already free. You're free. You just don't know it yet, but you already are. And your words can make you free. Look at Matthew 13:57 and 58. So they were offended at him. These are the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and these are the people in his own hometown. He grew up with these people. This is Jesus in his own town. Look what he says. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house. Now he did not do many works there because of their unbelief." So your unbelief prevents God from healing you. You see, you choose to believe the doctor. You don't choose to believe Jesus. And because of that decision, you are now in unbelief. Did you hear that? I want you to remember this. You're now in unbelief. Well, how do I get out of that unbelief? You You've got to now make a new decision. You need to undo the decision you made. You have to forget. See, he's you already know how to forget. Forget what the doctor told you. If you can forget Jesus and his testimonies and his power of his word, you can certainly forget the doctor. You believe it so much you don't want to forget. You believe it so much that you hold on to it dear for dear life. So when people at church pray over you, you're like, "Oh, I just can't. I know it ain't going to work. Why am I here? This is embarrassing. Do you see what you're doing to your own life? And then you wonder why you're in the situation. Look to yourself. Look to your unbelief. This is very, very powerful. I want to show you something else here. Mark 16:14. Later he appeared to the 11. This is after he rose from the dead. Okay? He is risen from the dead. Watch what he says to his disciples later. He appeared to the 11 as he sat at the table and he rebuked he rebuked his own disciples. Jesus is rebuking you right now for your lack of unbelief or your lack of belief as unbelief. And he rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen. The people are telling he's risen. He's risen. No, I don't believe it. I saw him die. And and that is their physical proof that they're believing. They're now believing their own eyes, their own witness. I saw him die. They didn't remember what he said to them. They were in unbelief. You know what that is? In order for you to remember what Jesus says, you have to spend time in the Bible over and over again until it impacts here and here. That's the only way you're going to remember what he says. This is part of the relationship factor that you need to have. This is also the part that leads you to freedom. You do not need to be in bondage. You see, he's going to teach you in that relationship how to use your words to prevent you from getting into the situation and then to undo what you've already done. You did this. Now, I want to show you um another event that Jesus dealt with. Uh we're going to do this from Matthew 14:34 and 36. I want you to see how this goes. When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Guanesseret. And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to him all who were sick, and begged him that they might only touch the hem of his garden garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Now, we just saw where they didn't believe and he couldn't do any miracles because they didn't believe. Now he's in a region that says they believed and they were bringing the sick left to him, left and right to him. You had the woman with the issue of blood. If only I could touch the hem of his garment. You saw that referring to her there. You you have the situation where two men brought their paralyzed friend and had to climb the roof and open the roof and bring him down in front of Jesus for Jesus to heal him. And you know what? in the woman with the issue of the blood and this paralyzed man. Jesus didn't heal them. He said your ma your faith made them healed. Well, they were whole because of their faith. They believed because they were hearing testimonies and to them all they had to do was get them to Jesus and all Jesus did was acknowledge your faith healed them. In other words, you got to get to Jesus. Find your way into the word of God. Read and believe. And I mean believe it from cover to cover. And don't believe it as stories. Believe it as events. As of the living word of God that these are true events. This is history written and that you can speak it and have it over your life. Now why did this group of people believe? There was testimony going around. Look Mark 5:16-17 and Luke 8 and37. And those who saw it told him how it happened to him who had been demonpossessed and about the swine. Then they began to plead with him to depart from the region. Do you see it? Go read the event of Jesus casting out a demon called Legion. And that he told the legion they can go into these pigs. And the pigs ran off the cliff and were killed. Those people that saw that said, "You need to leave." Look it. They began to plead with him to depart from their region. They saw this powerful miracle. They see this miracle. They see power. They see authority. And they say, "Get away. I don't want to have anything to do with you." Look also in Luke 8:37. Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the gatherines asked him to depart from them for they were seized with great fear and he got into the boat and returned. Now he's going to return to the other side. He had crossed this uh lake went from one side to the other. He cast out this demon. They didn't believe. They said get go away. So he goes back to the other side. In the meantime that demonpossessed man asked you and this is Homer. I want to give this to you because I want to share my testimony and give the time for the testimony. He this demonpossessed man who's now free. He's no longer in bondage. He asked Jesus, "Can I go with you?" Jesus said, "Stay here. I need you to tell I want you to show yourself to the people and I want you to tell them what happened to you." And so he stayed. And so when, watch this, Luke 8:38-4. Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged him that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, "Return to your own house and tell what great things God has done for you." And he went his way and proclaimed the throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him. So it was when Jesus returned that the multitude welcomed him for they were all await. They were all waiting for him. Now they sent him out. They were afraid. Now they're welcoming him because they're finally realizing this man is truly healed. And if he was healed, I can be healed. Now, when Jesus was quoting Isaiah earlier, look at what else is in that same chapter or earlier in Isaiah, excuse me, Isaiah 610. Make the heart of this people dull and their ears heavy and shut their eyes. Look at this. Lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and return and be healed. You can be healed if your eyes you can see with your eyes. You can hear with your ears. You understand in your heart and return. Return to who? Return to Jesus. Now Isaiah is talking to the nation of Israel. He's telling them to return to God. Same thing. Jesus is saying return to me and I can heal you. You have to deal with your unbelief. So let's talk about belief and decisions. And and I'm going to go into my testimony. Let me go to my earliest testimony. So over 30 years ago, I was dealing with depression. Didn't even know it. All I know is for about three weeks there, I was an ugly person. very ugly. And I went to the Lord and you know I always had a relationship with the Lord. I became a believer when I was six years old. I was water baptized when I was nine. And um I'm a I was married at this point when I was doing this. So early on in my marriage, too. But anyways, I remember um praying to God. I always have time with the Lord, always share time with him. And um I asked, "What's going on with me?" And I clearly I hear and understand from him whether it's a voice in my head or what I don't know all I know is I hear and say depression and my first reaction was oh no no no no that's not who I am you see as a believer in Christ I already knew who I am and it was not a depressed individual I may not have been living in joy. Yes, I was a mother at the time. Yes, I was married. But I knew I'm not a depressed individual. So, I decided to go deal with it. I went up to my bedroom, told my husband, "Leave me alone for a little while. I got to deal with this." Shut the door, and uh I went before the Lord, prayed, and then I said out loud straight up, "Demon, depression, you're not welcome here in the name of Jesus." And then I said it again. And then I said it again because I wasn't seeing anything happening. And I was like, "Nope, nope. We're not done." And in the spirit, basically what I did was I grabbed that demon by the front of his shirt and I beat the living whatever out of him because I kept saying it over and over again. And I refused to let him stay there. This was my faith that I was building up with Jesus. And you know, I went to bed that night laying there because I still hadn't seen anything. I just knew it wasn't going to happen. I already knew, nope, not going to have this problem. And I'm laying there and I went to sleep, still thinking it in my mind. Fell asleep thinking it in my mind, saying it in my mind. Get out of here, de. You're not welcome here. That's it. That's it. When I woke up that next morning, I'm going tell you right now, you want to feel freedom, you need to do that. Do that over depression. Do that over any um suicidal thoughts you're facing, just keep saying that over and over again. Go to bed that way in the name of Jesus. Make sure you use the name of Jesus. I woke up feeling fantastic. There was no more darkness. There was no more depression in me. And in fact, my physical body felt like I had been in a boxing match. Remember I told you I grabbed it by the shirt? I bet every punch I hit him with, he hit one back at me. But you know what? I've never dealt with it again. It tries to creep up every once in a while and I I look at it like, I already kicked your butt. Get out of here. That is a testimony. And by the way, for anyone who has seen me later in life, didn't know me then, and you see me now, you know that I walk in joy. that I have a smile on my face often when I don't I may be dealing with something and I just go to the Lord and that is my testimony there. Now I've also have been teaching and saying that sin has consequences for diseases and that you need to cast them out but it has to do with unbelief and it has to do with the words that you say. So here comes the next part of my testimony and this just happened this year. This is why I'm teaching this. So remember the question of this message is do you want to be free? So I had surgery like 10 year uh in 2010 I had uh four discs fused in my neck. Technically I shouldn't be able to do any of that. Uh I remember seeing a particular doctor for some dizziness at one time and they make you move your head get the crystals back where they belong and what have you. And he's like wow you you have a lot of movement. You can move. I go yeah well I follow the instructions. instructions told me to stretch and and I believed the doctors, okay? I believed I trusted in the doctors. I've been going to the doctor since I was young. So, you know, but as time went on, uh I was told, you know, I had heart palpitations. They put me on a heart monitor. I had heart issues when my daughter was born. So, I always knew in my mind I was going to be dealing with the heart. I'm g tell you those words affect you. So I had these palpitations and uh they monitor gave me medication for it because there was proof. Remember what I said. Do you believe the doctors? Do you believe what you think you know is true? Here I was in that mentality and uh you know they get you in with that. I had a lot of bladder infections back then too and I had to deal with all of that. Always getting antibiotics, always going in, always asking questions. Why? Why? Why? Why? And then of course as they do your physical, well, we need to do your physical. Oh, your cholesterol is high. Oh, your sugar is high. Next thing I know, I'm on cholesterol medication and I was on um diabetes medication. And then, you know, I was having the hot flashes and menopause and what have you. Now I was on hormonal medication. That was me up to uh about March of this year, end of February, early March of this year. And uh I decided I didn't want to deal with that anymore. And and I knew I can overcome because you know what? After I had that next surgery, I probably was on that tramodol stuff for like six, seven years, painkiller. And I finally decided to stop taking that and I did fine, successful, you know, was a little tough there for a few days, but then get past it and move on. And I remember you know thinking all right I have overcome so many things why and it dawned on me you know why am I taking all these medications and I decided no nope nope here comes that attitude do what attitude do you have well the doctor said I'm gonna tell you right now I wouldn't trust and believe in the doctor for everything granted there are times that doctors are need you cut off your arm or something you need a doctor. Okay, cut off a toe. You need a doctor. But for other things, there's things that they don't know. And even, you know, when I say cut off an arm or a a toe, remember Peter, the ear of the servant, he cut off in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus picked up the ear and put it back on. He was healed. So don't let me limit you in what you can believe. Okay? Don't let yourself limit you on what you can believe either. gotta think God like if he can create this world. He's your doctor. So I decided, you know, if I can cast out depression, I can definitely cast out diabetes and cholesterol. And I tried. Spent the whole evening. Went to bed thinking that same thing. Woke up next morning, nothing happened. I was like, "What's going on, Lord?" So in February of this year, got out here. Uh, I went to um Missouri. We were looking for a place to live. We ended up moving out here and um we went to a church called James River Church. I went and got prayed over by one of the elders or prayer workers there. And you know, it's interesting what he tells me. He told me to do the exact same thing I had already done with depression. Go in, cast it out. Of course, he's telling me monitor your meter and watch it and watch the numbers come down. So, I go home. We get back to Southern California and I'm watching this meter. I did the same thing. Went cast it out. Watch the meter for the week and nothing happened. And I'm sitting there like, "All right, Lord. I don't know what's going on here, but something's up." And so I started praying and I was curious. I'm like, "Lord, you said I was already healed. I should be healed. This should have worked. I've been in prayer. I declared the name of Jesus. These are things I've been teaching and preaching, by the way, for many years. I should be able to apply his word to my life and live it free. I should not be in bondage to medications I have to take to make my body operate on earth that he made my body for. I shouldn't have allergies. I shouldn't have anything. I shouldn't even get a headache to to be honest. I should not. And I remember, you know, I started seeing videos come across my um social media feed, videos about the hoax of cholesterol. Found out in researching that the brain is coated in a layer of cholesterol. And the biggest side effect for cholesterol reducing medications was Alzheimer's. Now, I had seen my mother-in-law pass away from Alzheimer's and I was like, "Wait, what?" And by the way, I had been taking I finally uh for like two months there I took it every other day. I was getting lightheaded and I knew it was cholesterol medication because my diet was see I was already being healed and I didn't even realize what was going on and I was getting lightheaded and I remember the physician's assistant that I met with over diabetes, they go over all your other medications with you faithfully, too. Oh, why didn't you get your cholesterol filled? I go, well, I'm only taking one every other day now instead of one every day. Oh, you can't do that. Go make me lightheaded and oh, but we have to run tests to see. Um, anyways, I said, I I'll make an appointment with the doctor and got off the phone with her. And so I remember learning about that and uh you know realizing on that cholesterol things like uh I remember Barbara O'Neal talking about it coming from down from oh it used to be you can have a cholesterol number 300 then it was 200 then it was 196 and I was like are they picking numbers out of the hat or did they run some tests here and that was the thing is they could not provide the test that showed that it had anything to do with you know heart disease. And then um for the diabetes, the Lord was reminding me of some things. I was thinking of the conversation I had with my doctor previously. He was talking about people who are 80 years old and older and that their A1C can be 8.0, not a not below seven. He says the reason for that is because they get too laded and they can fall, break their hip. they're at a greater risk of that than heart disease. And I'm sitting there going, "Wait a second." And I pause. My my thought process all of a sudden went, "Wait a minute. They're 80 years old and older. They made an adjustment for them. Why didn't they make an adjustment between men and women? We're different sexes. We should have different levels. We're built different. We have different hormones. H why does it everybody has to be 7.0? And that's when I started realizing well 7.0 and lower for A1C. That's when I started realizing every time I hit that 6.9 they changed medication where I was back over seven because I got it down pat. I mean I was good with that medication. I was getting up faithfully every morning at 5 5:30 and my blood sugar was always around 80 79 to 81 always I I was hitting my targets believe you and me I was doing very well I had this down pat and even when they change your medication would take me about six months or so I'd get it back down but I'm realizing all of this and then there I was either driving to church or driving home and this is when the Lord I was praying And I was like, Lord, I'm not understanding what's going on here. And I said, why can't you make this meter match what the doctor's saying? And the epiphany was, I'm your god. I'm your doctor. Do you really think they know what your sugar levels should be? Do you really trust that they know what numbers your body is supposed to be? And I had this vision of like taking a Rolls-Royce to a Toyota Camry or Toyota company to fix a Rolls-Royce when in reality I should be taking back the car to its original maker company for service and repairs. And all of a sudden, I'm thinking, I didn't I'm not taking my body to Jesus. And then with all the epiphies I was having, it dawned on me. I didn't have diabetes to cast out in the first place. They were diagnosing me this just to put me on medication so they can make money and I have to live on this stuff. Do you know that was the only time I ever had any lows was when I was on medication. not with my natural body the way the Lord made it. So, in a leap of faith, and yes, it takes faith. And by the way, this was the hardest thing to do for me because I had done this before. And I failed at it. I'll just put it that way. But I put all those medication. I got rid of all the medications. I didn't refill any of them. Put them all down. Got rid of them all. I said, "No more, Lord. I'm not taking any of this. My body is in your hands." And do you know those doctors and those uh physicians assist assistants and thearmacies very faithful you don't fill your prescription they call you. We didn't move for another three months. And I remember uh not one single person reached out to me why I wasn't getting my medication. Because the demons, the familiar spirits around us, the ones that knew me, already knew I let go and my faith healed me. I was completely healed. I had no heart palpitations. Do you know there was a sign I have when I would wake up in the mornings and I'd have 80 as my uh sugar and uh my right ear would always drain. I I don't know why it would do that. When it got low, when my blood sugar get low, I knew right away because the right ear was draining. Well, after I put all that down, guess what? My right ear was still draining. And I said, "Ah, Lord, my body is fine. My body was never broken to begin with because I believed a lie. I believed what the doctor said. And the doctor has no idea what he or she is been trained to put you on. They think they're doing you a good job to save you from heart attacks and what have you. You know, if you're having heart issues, take a little bit of water, put like a eighth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in there, and just chug it. I promise you, you will not have any heart issues anymore after that. It It works with your blood flow. It clears your cholesterol. It clears it all. And I've done that. And you only have to do that, especially if you're coming from where it's been bad and you weren't doing that. Take a few days. Do it once a day and you're ready to go. Anytime you start to feel like a little sharp pain in your heart, fix them some, and you're perfectly fine. Your body, the herbs that the Lord has provided from the earth is here to heal you. So, what do you believe? Do you want to be free? You know, are you believing what the doctors are telling you? I promise you, I went through this and I am a walking testimony to tell you that I'm free. I'm not in chains, bound to this earth and the way it lives. I'm already living my eternity with the Lord. I just haven't got there yet out of my flesh. But one day I will. This flesh will die. It it dies. You know, all of the raising from the dead that Jesus did, all those people, they died again. Lazarus had to die again. The bones that were laid on Elisha, he was raised from the dead, he he died again. The 12-year-old girl in this uh scene here in this uh event period of time that I talked about with the Legion, she was one of the ones that was healed here. trying to think it was Jaire's daughter and she was healed. Um she was dead. God raised her from the dead. She had to die again eventually. We all are appointed to die. So the only way you're not going to age to die is when you eliminate sin out of your life. And you're thinking, I can't do that. Actually, you can. Do you know that I spend time with the Lord every and every time you spend time with him? You're not sinning. So, do you want to spend time in the world or do you want to spend time in the word of God? Again, this is your choice. You're the one who's putting yourself in your situation. I promise you that even if you take out all the drama, you take out all the medical stuff, you will have an awesome relationship with the one you can trust, who will never stab you in the back. That is Jesus Christ, our Messiah. He is the one who is faithful and true. He is the one who has healed us. You need to choose. If you really want freedom, you got to unlearn what you've learned. Inspired Teaching: Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Whenever the Bible talks about invisible things it is referring to the spiritual realm, in this case it is dealing with the interactions of the spiritual realm with the visible physical realm. Since the visible realm is three dimensional, when you associate it with the invisible spiritual dimension it becomes fourfold, that is why our text includes a fourfold reference to the creation: Thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. The epistle to the Colossians gives us tremendous insight into how the visible and invisible creation interacts and operates. Let us define first the difference between the physical and spiritual dimensions so that we can learn the mysteries of how the invisible world operates and learn how much it influences our physical world. Colossians 1:12 “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light (energy).” The spiritual or invisible realm is one that is made of energy, we cannot see energy that is why it is invisible to us. The creatures that live in the spiritual realm are made of energy that is why we cannot see them either. But the fact that we cannot see them does not mean that it does not exist and they are not actively interacting with the visible realm. As a matter of fact, at the core of all physical tangible matter there is an invisible quantum reality that science is still trying to explain. From the Bible we know that the spiritual realm is an eternal one, and so science has discovered that the sub-atomic particles that give form to all physical matter transcend time and space, that is they can be in two separate places at the same time. 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look (put our focus on) at the things which are seen (visible), but at the things which are not seen (invisible). For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Now when Paul says that we have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light, what he is telling us is that we have been given power to manipulate that invisible energy, which is radically awesome if we can just barely grasp its implications. Colossians 1:9 “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Paul is so excited about the faith of the Colossians in the Gospel of truth that was preached to them, that he is telling them that he cannot wait to see them come into the revelation knowledge of what just happened to them, through the agency of spiritual understanding. Just as he was telling the Corinthians not to put their focus on the mundane visible things, but to put their hope on the eternal invisible things that are not of this world. Can we get just as excited as Paul was about the reality that we too have received the Gospel of truth, and that we also have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light? We should! Colossians 1:13 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed (transferred) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” This three-dimensional world has been plunged into spiritual darkness by the devil and all his minions, Jesus has delivered us from the darkness of this physical world and has placed us in the high, and out of this world kingdom of the Son of His love. John 8:23 “...You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.” What does it all mean to us, what are the advantages of being able to operate in the kingdom of the light? Matthew 16:19 “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven (spiritual invisible realm), and whatever you bind on earth (physical visible realm) will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” A key is used to unlock things that we previously had no access to, a key can also be used to lock things up that we do not want anybody to steal from us, why would Jesus give us the key if we did not have with it the access to the lock as well? Now as we look at this verse of Scripture from the scientific point of view, and know that all physical things are held together by this invisible force that holds the atomic particles together that form all that is tangible, then we can extrapolate that we have been given the power to loose that which is bound, and to bound that which is loose, whether in the invisible fourth dimension called heaven, or the physical three dimension we call earth. Colossians 1:10 “That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Obviously, we need to know and we need to understand how it all works, that is if we want to put it to good use, for we can also read in the text of what Jesus told us, as binding on earth that which has already been bound in heaven, and loosing on earth that which has already been loosed in heaven, so that spiritual understanding is critical. All things were created through Him and for Him. Our opening text. Rule number one, follow The Word! John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Now if we want to fully understand the meaning of how The Word created everything we need to know what The Word of God is. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (life giving) and powerful (energy)…” The Word of God is life giving, life sustaining energy. When God said, Let there be light, He released all the energy that exists in the universe today, and it was out of that energy that all physical tangible matter was formed, including intelligent human life. John 1:4 “In Him (The Word) was life, and the life was the light of (the energy that created) man.” So that all things were created and are sustained by The Word of God including intelligent human life. At the very core of our physical being we are held together by the energy that is in The Word of God. So that whatever is loosed on the earth that the Word of God tells us should be bound, we have power in the name of Jesus, The Word of God, to bind it and vice versa. John 16:24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” We have access into the invisible spiritual realm in the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-10 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” Paul takes it one notch higher and tells us that in the name of Jesus we not only have the power to bind and to loose the very cords that hold everything together in the visible and invisible realms, but also over those under the earth, where the seat of demonic power resides in the belly of the underworld. That means that in the name of Jesus we have power over life and over death, as long as we follow the precepts laid out for us in His Word, to bring forth God’s reconciliation into this physical world. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: There's been such an anointing. Oh my god. I can't even talk to my wife about the Lord without crying all these couple of weeks. It's just been It just been uh awesome. Uh I'm excited. The reason why I'm so excited is uh September 2nd, I think it was of last year. I was laying down in in my bed and I was dreaming seven times 749 and then count 50. And it just went on all night long. One of the things that just bugs you, bugs you, bugs you all night long. That's all my mind could do. And then right right when the sun was rising up or it was morning, it was like a big old light just flashed with my eyes closed and it was a big old flash card and it said day two. And I had no idea what that was. But then I knew that I was supposed to start counting from the day before, which was either September 7 or September 2nd. 50 50 is Jubilee. By the way, when Jesus came, he says um I came that set the captives free to open the eyes of the blind. And he says, "And to proclaim the year of Jubilee." Jubilee means when everything that has been taken away from you, that has been stalling from you is restored. And then after that, then the Lord says, "Okay, now you wait 70 days." And then I added up and 70 days came out to December 31st. and he wanted me to disengage from everything. And little did we know that in December 24th we found out we were moving and we were out within six days we were out that December 31st we moved. Then all of this year has been a year of of just waiting and waiting and waiting. And then uh on September 25th of this year I'm driving and the Lord says the new has begun. And I got all excited. I didn't know why. And then there was a prophecy that Chuck Pierce gave that began the time set for this year's and it's from September 5th to October 12 which it was yesterday there was a new positioning in the heavens. God is moving things. And then all of a sudden today, the Lord said, you know, remember when I when I told you day two, he says, well, when I told you the new has begun, meaning it's day three or the third awakening, in case you you don't know the history, this nation in the last 500 years have experienced two major revivals which are were called the first awakening and the sec second awakening. So what I believe is going on in the spirit right now, we're ready to enter. I mean, today the 13th, beginning yesterday, the 12th and and it is no coincidence. He had asked me to teach two weeks ago and before even knowing that I'm just getting ready to teach and and the Lord has just given me this revelation that in the spirit at least the door has been open. Now remember when the uh Israelites came into the promised land to go through God had already removed the protection of the enemy, but they did not enter into it because of a bad report. 12 spies went out, 10 gave a bad report, and because of that, they had to wait another 40 years. Well, I don't want to wait another 40 years. I ain't got 40 years. I'm 59. That'll be a be 99. I can't afford 40 years. I want to go now. And and so I believe that that's been my heart. And so, that is what's going on. Now, what I'm going to be teaching on tonight is about the spirit of Leviathan. And I think it goes with what we're talking about. Because Leviathan is a spirit in the Bible, which is what keeps the church blinded. And you know who's the church? Us, the believers. It keeps us blinded. And because of that, then we suffer loss. I got notes. I have I made 10 notes. I I don't know if there's any. If everybody got one, I hope you did. You can follow along. Okay. Isaiah 27:1. And I want to see if I can get through all four pages. So, I'm going to go in in Isaiah 27:1. It says in that day the Lord with his sword and great and strong sword shall punish Leviathan the piercing serpent even Leviathan that crooked serpent and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. Now I want you to open your uh uh your Bible to Isaiah 26 and I want you to see the context of this prophecy. In Isaiah 27:1, God says, "In that day, the Lord will punish uh in the NIV says, "In that day, the Lord will punish with his sword, his fierce great and powerful sword, Leviathan, the gliding serpent, Leviathan, the coiling serpent, and he will slay the monster of the sea." Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus, as we come into your presence right now, Father God, I pray your covering over us, Father God, I pray that with the sword of the spirit, which is your great a mighty sword that you will cut down right now, Father God, the course, the whole darkness and blindness and and that keep us bound, Father God, to the old ways. I pray that you will bring revelation that your light will shine into our souls tonight, Father God, and drive away every spirit of fear, every spirit of contentment, every spirit of disbelief and unbelief, and every spirit that will hinder us from receiving the revelation that you have for us in this last day in Jesus name. Amen. Now if you look at uh in Isaiah 26 verse 19 it says but your dead will live their bodies will rise. What is that talking about? The rapture. It's talking about the rapture. The the this chapter 26 is talking about uh when Jesus will will come. It says but your dead will live. Their bodies will rise. You who dwell in the dust mean those who have been dead and buried or being cremated and their dust is some place. He says wake up and shout for joy. Your due is like the dw of the morning the earth will give birth to her death. Speaking about the resurrection. So when Isaiah 27:1 says in that day he's talking about the end times. He's talking about today the heading for this uh uh uh for this chapter is deliverance of Israel. Okay. Was too loud? Oh, okay. Anyway, he's talking about in in in in Isaiah 27 the deliverance of Israel. So, what I believe is that with the end time, right before the rapture comes, God is going to bring the greatest revival that has ever been seen. Because, you know, there's a lot of people that love God and and they want to be with God, but they're so bound by sin. They're so oppressed. Some believers, their minds is so cast down. Their souls are so oppressed and cast down, they cannot even worship or praise God. So God in the end time is going to bring a revelation, a a a lighting up to where we're going to be able to worship God in spirit and in truth and with power. And the word of the Lord will go forth with such power and authority that there's going to be deliverance that people are going to be walking around like Peter and their shadows is going to fall on derelicts that are their mind has been gone and God will bring restoration. Why? Because Leviathan is the spirit that God says, I am raising up a large sword. Hallelujah. And that sword is going to be of my saints and they're going to bring judgment upon this serpent. Okay? Now, who is Leviathan? And and you know, uh uh Leviathan is mentioned in the Bible, I think, six times because he's the number of men. Leviathan represents the strongest demonic spirits that has ever been unleashed against all of humanity. All of the infirmities that we humans suffer and cause other humans to suffer are the direct result of this demons this demon's influence on humankind. This is I believe the the power that messes up all humanity because as we will read on he resides in the waters or in the sea and the sea is always symbolic of humanity. The sea of humanity. All humans are affected by this awful creature. And I believe that the end time revival will begin by God judging him. And look at if if if you see there, Isaiah calls him a dragon and a serpent. Both of those names are applied to Satan directly. He's a serpent. He's a serpent that beguile Eve. By the way, that's where we that's where he came in. Leviathan came in into Eve like he was coil around the tree. her genetic tree uh Eve has passed down that vile creature to every human that's alive today. The only one that wasn't affected by that was Jesus. And that's because Jesus even though it was conceived by a woman, the blood that that that con which is in the semen that the blood that bring conception, it was the Holy Spirit. So that's why when Satan was coming or or Judas was coming had betrayed Jesus, Jesus could say uh the enemy is coming but Satan has nothing in me. But we do know that Satan has something in us. And that is what God wants to deliver out of us this spirit that causes everything that brings troubles into us. So he calls the spirit a dragon and a serpent. And then he calls him the dragon that is in the sea, meaning he's in humanity and he's hidden from the natural view. He affects everybody, but nobody knows uh about it. Notice what it says. The piercing serpent and the crooked serpent is talking about his nature and his working. Uh a serpent, what does a serpent does? Serpent coils itself around. But that is magic. We all know that. But what about the piercing? What does it mean by piercing? Piercing it if I is when you uh let's say like uh uh the female egg when she's about to get fertilized, there's a piercing that breaks into that egg. And as soon as the piercing goes in, it crystallizes and the egg become fertile and it begins to to multiply and give life. Basically what he's talking about this serpent because you see the uh our genetic code when they began to figure out the DNA system they could see the parts but they couldn't match they didn't understand how they could make sense of and it took years and years and years and then finally somebody came with a revelation that if you take the genetic code instead of just trying to put it lineal like that that if you coil it then it makes sense. See, in order for the parts to fit, you got to follow a coal coil or like a wreath. That's what the genetic code is. So, what does a snake take shape of? Of a coil. So, that means that Leviathan gets not just into our soul and not just into a different part. He become the very part of our genetic makeup by coming and piercing himself or his influence into our genetic code. This is why there's birth defects because any genes that he can can transform or pollute becomes deformed becomes faulty. As a matter of fact, the reason why many many many especially Christian can overcome their sins is because their genetic code is predisposed to that certain thing. I mean it is in your genes. It is there and there's nothing that we can seem to do about it. You work hard and you try to do all of these things but the thing is wrap itself around or it coil itself around you to where you just h have been transformed. Basically what it says is you become the person that God never intended for you to be. And so this is why I believe that in this end time God is going to deal with a serpent because you cannot deal with humanity until you deal with a serpent. because the serpent is in the sea. It's in the humanity. Now this uh snake is so terrible as if we could call it that that in Job 41, God spends the whole chapter 40 34 verses from Job chapter uh uh Job 41 from verse one to verse 34 God spends 34 verses telling about him. But I want you to see this because this is the key. In verse one, he says, "Can you pull in the Leviathan with a fish hook or tie him down his thong with a rope?" In other words, God brey by the way, Job is the oldest and most complete manual on deliverance. If you look at the um uh the human soul is made of nine compartments as if it were nine nine uh divisions or nine is one soul but it's like a complex it has different parts in it and I believe it has nine parts. This is why in in in uh Galatians 5:22 and 23 there are nine fruit one but nine different manifestations of that fruit. Love, joy, peace, uh long longsuffering, gentleness, kindness, self-control, faith, and um and what's the last one? Meekness. So our soul is designed to have each one of those spirit fruit operating in it which is what Leviathan does. He takes away the peace. He takes away the joy. He takes away love from us. He takes away the ability to wait patiently on the Lord. He changes our personality. The spirit of God that was breathed into uh uh Adam made him a good and gentle and kind person. And today we see wrath and anger and fear and all of the things. Why? Because the genetic code has been transformed. By the way, that's what Satan was up before the flood. That's why God destroyed all of humankind because of the genetic messing up with the genetic system. But then God gives revelation to Job. Uh the reason why I was talking about that is there's nine fruit of the spirit. There are nine gifts of the spirit and there are nine spiritual blessing. There are 27 books in the New Testament. Three times 9 is 27. That means that everything that we need is in the New Testament. It the the Old Testament is fulfilled in the New Testament. That's why our souls can now be set free because we have this revelation from God. But uh uh the uh um the soul has been so perverted. And so the oldest book of the Bible when God is dealing with Job, what happens to Job? Nine times is Job confronted. First it comes to one friend and he says you sin. It's your fault. That's why God is judgment. The next friend come in, no your children sin and they're the ones. So that's why God got judgment. And then the third spirit comes up which represents itself speaking through Job's friend. And there's nine direct attack on soul. The last one, the ninth one is a new person that comes in that wasn't there Elihoo. And he represents Satan himself. He sounds like God. Everything he said is just like God. That is, I believe, Leviathan himself who actually replaces God in the human soul. So we have a God in our soul which is not the God. And even when we're born again and our spirit is born again, our soul now is controlled or manipulated because his spirit hinders what God wants to do. And so in the book of Job where Job, a righteous man, because this is for Christians, the minute that you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, you became righteous. You became holy. You became a saint. Immediately you were saved because God knows our condition and he doesn't judge us in our sins anymore. Romans uh 7:20 says if I do the things that I don't want to do, it's not me who do it but sin that lives in me. So God understand that there our genetic code has been messed up and we've been predisposed to sin and God is saying let me have a hold of you and I'll bring a revelation. I'll bring Lord into your soul and I'm going to drive that spirit that has replaced me in the parts of your soul. And that's what God is dealing with Job. God brought Job through all of those suffering and these men suffered tremendously. And then he God asked him this question. He says, "Can you pull in the Leviathan with a fish hook or tie him down?" God was saying, "Can you get him out or at least shut him up?" Job, since you're so righteous and so holy, you're bragging how you've been uh uh uh you know, attacked and all the things, can you get Leviathan out? and you get rid of that nature that is in your soul or at least shut it up so it doesn't bugs you no more. So God is speaking about deliverance and as we just read it is during our day the day of the resurrection the day of the rapture when God is going to unleash his mighty and fierce attack uh against him. Leviathan on the Strong's concordance means a wreath, animal or a serpent. It means to twine, to unite, to remain, to cleave or to join. And then he is also called uh the constellation of Orion is is named after him. In other words, he's his he's his name that uh since he's a dragon and a serpent, the dragon in the sky. There's a constellation is the constellation of Orion, which usually goes by the name the constellation of the dragon or Draco. And so this is what what God wants us to see. And then like I said in in the uh in the sea everything represents the humanity. Now, one of the stars, the constellation of Orion, has seven major stars. And one of those stars, each each star represents a demon, by the way, because remember, the dragon has seven heads. We'll get that towards the end. But Leviathan has seven heads. So, in the constellation of Orion, there are seven major stars, and that represents the seven heads of Leviathan or the seven manifestations. And God asked Job in Job 38:31, it says, "Can thou bind the sweet influences of the plagus?" And this is in the original King James translation, or lose the bands of Orion, which is Leviathan. And what I want you to see here is that the way the Leviathan comes in is by influence. The piercing that he's talking about, he pierces right into that area of our soul where our mind and our will and our emotions and he begins to exert because to twine. See, his nature is to entwine. And untwin means the two become one. Like when a man and a woman get married, God says the two become one flesh. They are coiled around. They are wrapped around their own twine. And so by coiling himself around our our our nature, our DNA, he begins to exert pressure, but it's not forcible. It's well, one of the one of the heads is not it's an influence. He begins to influence. That's what he did with Eve. Well, doesn't it look good? Wouldn't it be good for food? He begins to influence her way of thinking to where she said, "Wow, yeah, that's right." How many of us got some revelation at some time? Oh yeah, man. That's great. He left the keys on the car. He probably wanted me to take it for a ride. Why not? You were influenced to get into that car and before you know it, you know, you're on the back of it, then put a handcuff on you and you got to do a couple of years. A lot of us are influenced like that. And it didn't begin with evil. We didn't intend to do evil. It was a sweet influence. Oh yeah, man. She looks fine. I won't go there. But he is a spirit that wraps himself around our soul, our very DNA, our very nature. And then he begins to exert influence since he's stronger than us because God asked Job, "Can you pull him out?" Job definitely couldn't pull him out, but God did because Job said, "I heard, but now I seen." And when Job saw it, that's when he got delivered. I know that that thing is big and strong, but God, you're a lot bigger than he is. Glory to God. You are able to deliver me from this. And then when Job went in and prayed for his friends, he was restored. And the three daughters, Jamaima, Karen, Capush, and I don't remember the name of the other one. Each one have a meaning. And the names of the daughter of Job, the only three that are named of the 10 children that God gives them, one means is being stripped off like down, taking all of the bark off your tree. Talking about deliverance, being stripped off. Then he's talking about God bringing restoration. God took Job's DNA strand that had been polluted. God strip it off of that coiling thing that was around him and ripped it out. And it all came when Job was able to see. I heard of you, but now I sing. And God is calling his church in this end time to see. To see that I don't care how big that enemy is, how strong he is, and how bound he's had you or messed you up. That God is stronger. God is bigger. God is more powerful. He is the one that is able to strip that from you. Amen. Now, how can we do it? I mean, if Job, a righteous man that was so blessed in Ephesians 2:6, we're told, "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us up with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." What that means is that Leviathan operates in the second heaven. He is that one that sets himself to block our prayers from coming up to God. He is in the way to hinder. But when Jesus Christ went onto the cross and he took every sin, every every wrong thing that we humans have ever done because of that sweet influence, because of this genetic uh uh makeup that that has corrupted us. That's why God said there is not one righteous. No, not one single one. There's no one who does good. Why? Because our nature has been transformed. This thing has coiled itself around our very own DNA to where we're predisposed to do wrong. That's our predisposition. But he can only operate on the second realm. But Jesus Christ when he went into the cross, and by the way, the cross represented a connection between heaven and earth or between the second heaven and the physical he the physical earth that we're in. And it was right in that middle that Jesus Christ defeated every foe, every principality and power, stripped them all of all of their power. And then Jesus was able to take a man, a physical man, even Abraham and and and all of those righteous peoples of the Bible, they were down in in in paradise, which was at the center of the earth at that time. And it wasn't until Jesus died on the cross that he went down. He preached to the spirits down there. Ephesians tells us then he led captivity captive. He took the train of all the souls that were in that paradise. They could go now go to heaven. Why could they go to heaven? Because Jesus Christ took the accuser of the brethren, shattered his teeth. He when when he rose up, he kicked him in the mouth. And and uh I think it's Psalm three, he says, "The Lord shatters the teeth of the wicked." He just destroyed his power. And so now we by being born again are on the third heaven. And from down here, we cannot fight him. But from up there we can because you see we're seated. Seated means a place of authority. I am seated now on a place of authority. Jesus says I give you power over I give you authority over all the power of Satan. And he says and and you going to be able to to to trample on snakes that's Leviathan and on scorpions. And he says nothing shall by any means harm you or hurt you. Why? because we have been seated far above principalities and power. And then you say, "Well, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait. I still have my my human nature." Well, look at 2 Corinthians 5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. That means that Jesus Christ changed your DNA. Hallelujah. He gave us a brand new strand of DNA. I don't have to be predisposition to the old things anymore. He has changed my nature. As a matter of fact, read on. He says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, take a look. Look." Like Job said, "I heard of you, but now I seen." Behold means look. He says, "Look, look. All things have become new." Anyway, the word for new creation in the Greek means original formation. Our DNA was originally formed to do the will of God. Hallelujah. Our DNA originally was designed to worship God. When when when the cool evening, it would come, Adam and Eve will go like little kids running to daddy God, and they would have a great big old time with him. They were still human. They were still naked, but there was no lie that worked his way into their DNA until the coiling snake on the tree came in and perverted the word of God. And that is when he came in. But when Jesus Christ climb up on that tree and he was nailed himself to that tree, he took our old nature. He took that old Leviathan and he destroyed him. And now we have the new nature. But we need to understand that that new nature is in the spirit. Man has to be brought into the place of everything. See this is why Leviathan is so dangerous because Leviathan blocks blocks our entrance to the holy place. Let me look at my notes. I I don't want to lose anything here. I don't want to get ahead of myself. But let me go. I tried to put as much as as as we could there so that if I don't get through the whole thing at least you can have the notes. Uh I want to read Psalm 425-7. He says why are you cast down oh my soul and why are you disqued within me? Now remember our soul is the part that responds to our physical nature. Our soul uh uh we have spirit, soul, and we're in a body. The soul is connected to our physical body through these senses. Our eyes, our ears, our nose, our mouth, our sense of touch. All of those are connected to the soul. Our soul, that's our personality, gets this information of this physical world. Because the soul and the spirit are both spirit through the human senses. But our soul in his upper part is connected to the spirit of a man and and the spirit of a man is the one that is born again and that is seated in the right hand of the father with Christ Jesus. And the way that our soul connects to the spirit is through intuition and through worship. And so a Leviathan can come in and block our worship to where we cannot come to God. Then our spirit can have everything that God has for us, our healing, our provision, our protection, the plan, the future, the wisdom of God. But yet, if there's something blocking it, and that's what Leviathan does. Uh uh what do you call a uh you know, Roman uh what do you call it? Mythology. In mythology, Leviathodan went by different name. Neptune, Poseidon, different names. He was always involved with with with the sea. And in mythology says that every time there was an eclipse of the sun is because he would wrap himself around and block the sun. And you see the sun or the light for us is our spirit. the the the scripture that you quoted when you were praying. Proverbs 20:27, the spirit of a man, that's our human spirit, is a candle of the Lord and he searched all of the inward parts of the heart. He looks inside. So in order for me to know what is it that is in me that predisposes me to do certain things that I don't want to do, I need to have a time with God. My spirit needs to worship God, needs to come in communion to God, needs to get the revelation from God. And then my soul has to have a good connection with my spirit. In other words, God takes my spirit which lives in the same place where the soul lives in the heart and like a flashlight he begins to search. H I see something dark over here in this corner. And then in our soul there's no knobs any of the doors. All of the knobs are on the inside. Revelation 3 uh 20 Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." So he comes in who's there? He wants to know because what's in that dark room is affecting your life. It's affecting your walk. And that's what deliverance is all about. Bringing light because the Lord is light. Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. The spirit of the Lord brings light. And the light makes all of the creatures of darkness flee because darkness cannot comprehend or overcome the spirit of the living God. So we have to have a good communication with God through our spirit and there had to be a connection between our soul and God in order for this thing to be exposed for us to be deliver of this thing. And uh so that our human makeup as if it were can be brought into um be set free from the influence of this demonic creature in Psalm 42:57. Now remember the soul is the one that's in the middle. This is the spirit man speaking to the soul. Why are you cast down, oh my soul, and why are you disqued within me? Hoping God, for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Oh my God, my soul is cast down within me. This is a spirit of the Psalms of Kora, I believe, who's writing this psalm. And his spirit is crying out to God, there's something wrong with my soul here. I'm alive with you. I'm praising you, but there's something wrong with this soul. All you giving me, Lord, it's all messed up. But then he said, "Therefore, I will remember you from the land of the Jordan." That's the river Jordan where you get baptized and from the highest of Hermon. That's your spiritual high and from the hill of Miser. That's our lower part. And then he says this mystery. He says, "Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves and billows have gone over me." The deep calling into deep is the spirit of God speaking to your spirit. God is saying Leviathan is a monster of the sea. That means he's in your humanity. He's signing into that. But God says, "I got a few tornadoes of my own. I got a few water spouts. I can come up in there and vacuum that thing right off of your heart. I can just go in there and go and pull all that out." That's what God is saying. But how did it happen? Deep. called onto deep. The spirit of God in in capital letters speaks to our spirit. And as he begins to speak to our spirit, the revelation becames to to be made known. And uh I have some notes there as to being baptized. What is it that is commanded? Two things Christians are commanded to do. Take communion. It means the bread and the wine represents the blood and and the broken body of Jesus Christ. And the other thing is to be baptized. What does baptismal means? Death by water. Where does Leviathan dwell? In the water. When you're baptized into you. See, you cannot get saved until you're baptized into the Holy Spirit. The the baptismal of the Holy Spirit is different. I'm not talking about that. He says we the way that we have said we have all been baptized into one spirit. Baptismal simply means let's say that I'm a drop of water and I go and I take that drop of water to the Pacific Ocean and I dropped it. Can you ever again find that drop of water? No. It becomes part of the whole ocean. That's what God is saying. You were a little piece of water someplace. And when you were baptized in Christ, you were placed into See, we were all baptized by Adam and Eve. We're all descendants of them. Everything they they had, good or bad, has come down our way. And then Satan has done his best to mess it up so that I'm sure Adam and Eve will be surprised to see what their children look like because boy, they we should mess it up. But the same way that we're all baptized into this waters, the deep waters where Leviathan dwells, God has called us from the that deep. He was called us out of that deep into his deep deeper. That's his spirit. You see, when you were baptized, when you went into the water, you declared that you were self dead. Death to sin, dead to the world, death to Leviathan. And therefore when you rose up now your spirit is seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And then now God wants to bring changes in our life. Now Job 41 15 and 16. And this thing is so so big I could have went uh verse by verse but I knew that I wouldn't have that much time. So I condense it to four pages. And then tonight I'm condensing it even more so that I can get to the end of it. Uh Job 41:15 and 16 says, "His rose of scales are his pride. Shut up tightly as with a seal. No one I mean one is on air to another that no air can come between them." You know what that means? This demonic spirit that formed this alliance of Leviathan. He's a seven-headed monster. He's the king of all of the children of pride. By the way, anybody that is operating in pride is is a servant to that because Job says that. You can read in that chapter two. He's he's the uh the father. Everybody who seems to pride, he controls him. I don't care how godly the person is or how great he thinks is in the Lord. Pride comes before the fall because Leviathan is destined to fall and so will all that are proud. But what he's talking about here is that his scales or his demonic shields are so tightly connected to one another that no air can come through. Well, the word for air in both the Hebrew and the Greek in which the old and the New Testament are written speak about spirit, wind, speak about breath. So if he's able to encamp himself between you and God, nothing from your spirit can penetrate him. That's what he's talking about. And that's what he does. Wherever Leviathan comes in, you did you know uh many people, especially the guy that was writing the book that that actually Fred gave me copies of all of that the stuff that I was reading. I've been going through my garage and I got everything so organized. finally opened all the boxes from our move and I know where everything is at so I've been able I've been reading a lot but uh uh he that that snake comes in so tightly that nothing can penetrate and he says that when there are revivals many revival that have started in churches as soon as pride comes up he comes in and he blocks he has destroyed many many many revival working through the people that God was moving through to through the anointing that God was moving through bringing pride. Wow, look at myself. Look what I did. I lay hands and they came to life or I did this and and and you know and that spirit of pride is what terminates and churches go through this. the Holy Spirit will come in because of some prayer or because of some fasting or because something that some of the leaders did and then the Holy Spir Home Previous Next

Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we know that your word shall not return void. We pray that the hearers and the listeners to this teaching will have hearts prepared to receive you to be in your presence and to feel that anointing of who you are as you touch our hearts and our minds. Thank you, Father God. We love you and praise you and uh thank you that your word does not return void. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Okay. Okay. So, the anointing is pretty strong here. So, I'm a little on the emotional side, but we'll get this out. Amen. So, this teaching is called in his presence. So, let's go to our opening scripture here in Psalm 16:11. And we're going to be in Psalm 16 for most of the part of this teaching. Verse 11, thou wilt show me the path of life. The word life means a or another word that you can place in the word of life is alive or fresh. In thy presence or your face is fullness of joy, glee, pleasure, mirth. At thy right hand there are pleasures delightful, sweet for ever more. Well, I'm glad you can join us today here at House of Faith Ministries. Let me show you how I do my teachings. I'm going to present the scripture to you here through the King James version. The bolded words are the words that are in the King James version. But the the translators could have used other words to um express that word if they wanted to. In the case of like word life there is alive or fresh that also just elaborates a little further. So what I'm doing is taking those other words that it could have meant and adding it in because it kind of gives you a bigger picture. Amen. Amen. So, we're going to be talking about in his presence. And there's something about being in the presence of the Lord. And I'm not talking about church. Church is wonderful. I think we need to be at church. Uh we get to um socialize. You you get a second family there. And um you get to pray with one another and you get to um rejoice in praise reports and weep with one another when you're hurting or in pain. Well, here in this teaching in this what I'm talking about in this teaching is in his presence. I'm talking about entering into his presence on your own time. Yeah. Doing it on purpose. I have been teaching for years now about the secret place of the Lord. And in a way, I'm kind of leaning towards that. But as you can see, being in his presence takes purpose. So, we're going to look at what the psalmist says here in Psalm 16 about the purpose of being in his presence and what it does. Now, there are many, many scriptures I can teach on and have taught on about uh being in that secret place with the Lord, but there's something about being in that presence of him. Even when all everything else is going on, you stop and you purposely put him first. Makes a world of difference. Let's go to Psalm 16. We're going to read verses 1 through3. Let's start with verse one. Preserve me, oh God, for in thee do I put my trust. Preserve is hedge about or guard me. And then it says, for in thee do I put my trust. So first I want you to notice uh something. He's talking to God and he's speaking a word. The spoken word is the power that we have in the authority of Jesus Christ. So in the beginning was the word and then if you go down to verse 14 in John chapter 1, you will find out that the word became flesh. Well, in the beginning was the word. Genesis 1 1-4 says, "Let there be light." And there was light and God said saw that it was good. That spoken word is the authority that we have. So this psalmist speaks to his situation. He speaks to God first. Says, "You need to put your hedge around me. You need to guard me. And as I'm fleeing for protection, I'm going to confide in you because that's what that word trust there means." So this is what he's doing. He puts God first. So he's in a circumstance. Whatever it is, it he doesn't say what it is. He's simply saying, "Put your hedge of protection around me and I will trust in you." Okay. Now, verse two, he starts he changes. He He's not talking to God anymore. He's talking to himself. And he says, "Oh my soul, thou has said unto the Lord, thou art my Lord." Now, and thou art my Lord. Again, his soul speaks to God, but he's telling his soul, "I know that you've spoken to God because I know you said, "Thou art my Lord." And when you get to Romans 10:9, it says that if you confess with your mouth, you're speaking a word. says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, healed, delivered, preserved. We're going to see more of that here at the end of the teaching. So, here he's saying to his soul, "Thou art my Lord." And then he's acknowledging something here. He says, "My goodness extended not to thee." We can be as good as you think you can be. By the way, how you think and what you believe is what makes you strong. So if you think you're strong and you think you're that good and you got the goods, you know, you're the one who's been in the presence of the Lord, you've been doing all this. Uh-uh. Even though this psalmist has been in the presence of the Lord and he's acknowledged that he's spoken to the Lord, he's also acknowledging that his goodness is worthless. that hasn't he hasn't my goodness extended not to thee there's nothing I can do on this earth in the name of goodness that's going to get to God because God doesn't work that way. God works through redemption. God works through forgiveness and mercy and grace. That's how God works. And and he works by faith. He does not work by how hard or how strong you can handle the situation on your own. It doesn't work that way. Now, let's go to verse three. But to the saints that are on earth, now he has shifted. He's talked to God directly. Then he talked to a soul acknowledging that his soul has talked to God directly. Now he's saying, "But to the saints that are on that are in the earth and to the excellent in whom is all my delight." In other words, into the powerful Savior we have, the powerful Lord we have in whom is all my delight, a valuable thing. Now he's saying, look it, look it. He's saying, I am talking to you saints and to God. I want you to see that I have a delight in my Lord. Even though all this is going on, I delight in him and I put him first by acknowledging and speaking that word. And it's so powerful because he's saying this is my this is what I value. This is what's valuable to me. That's where desire desire is. You value it. Do you desire a new car or do you desire God? God himself and his blessings or just God himself sometimes and that's what this teaching is all about is doesn't matter whether we get healed or not. Sometimes just coming into his presence is enough. It's just what I needed. Even uh people who are non-believers or have one foot in the world and one foot in uh the word even they will acknowledge going to a counselor speaking to someone because they get it off their chest. They go into the presence of this counselor. Well, you have the greatest counselor ever, our heavenly father. He is so valuable. We desire him and his presence. And when you do that, things happen. You get it off your chest. This is someone you can confide in. This is someone who you can trust that this is someone you can call and have him place his heads of protection around you. He's got you. And understand when I talk about being in his presence and and we're not talking about being in church. I've already addressed that. We're talking about stopping wherever you are. It can be in your car. So, we're not talking about a physical place. We're talking about a mental place, a place in the mind that we know we can go before our God, that we can trust in him, that we can know that he's got his hedge of protection around us, and that we take our mouth and acknowledge it. Hallelujah. Verse four, their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another God. Remember he's talking to the saints of the earth and he's saying their sorrows which is idols pain wound shall be multiplied that hast another god their drink offerings of blood will I not offer nor take up their names into my lips. Now I want to pause here and I want to address something because this is going to bring to light hopefully the understanding of this entire teaching. Who do you believe? And I've taught on this before. Do you believe the doctor or do you believe God? And he's clearly mentioning this here. I want you to see that anybody who goes after another god is your doctor your god is your music your god is running away your god. Oh, see the moment you don't put God first, you're doing the opposite. You're going after another God. And whatever sorrow, whatever pain, whatever wound, whatever idol you're looking at is going to multiply and it's not going to help you. So if you've been asking God to heal you, do this, do that, but you do it on Sunday service and the rest of the week you you're just a healing that nobody in your world knows that you even believe in a God. Well, then you're sending mixed messages to God. You know, why should he heal you? I just asked that question. Now, keep in mind, he's going to heal whomever he wants and he has healed unbelievers. So, you know, God can do whatever he wants to do. I'm just trying to get you to understand that when Jesus says your faith has made you whole, your your faith made you healed, you can be healed through your faith. It's up to you if you want to stop and spend some time with the Lord. Now, here's the thing is that it doesn't matter if you get healed or not because just being in his presence is the healing that heals your soul. heals your spirit, heals everything inside, helps you change things and turn things around. It gives you the confidence. It re uh reinvigorates you, gives you energy, strength because that's who God is. He's life. So you become alive, fresh in his presence. Verse five, the Lord is a portion of mine inheritance and of my cup. Which that word cup represents the words to hold together. Let me let me see if I can address this in a way there. Sometimes you get to a line and you are barely holding it together and you know that if that line got crossed, you're going to lose everything in your mind. you're going to lose everything that you you you think it's going to just be all lost at this point because you reach that point, that point where your cup breaks because it's no longer being held together. So it says, "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup that hold he's the one that holds it together. Thou maintainest my lot." You see, still the psalmist is saying, "You're holding me together." That's because he's entering into his presence. The psalmist is talking about being in the presence because he spoke into the Lord. He invoked the Lord's by calling on his name, which we're going to see scripture here in just a moment about that. So, he's saying, "The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup that holds it together." See, God is the one who's going to hold you together. He's the one who's going to keep you from crossing the line. He's the one who's going to show you that that mountain is a molehill, that it's not as big as you think it is, that it is simpler, that life is a joy. Let's continue to see what the psalmist says. Verse six, the lines or your district or the inheritance that that God draws out, that's what this is referring to, are fallen unto me in pleasant places. Yeah, I have a goodly heritage. He's acknowledging life's good for him. So there is now no problem that he was started talking about in verse one. All of a sudden he says, "The Lord has given me my lines, my portions, and they're good." Why? Because he called on the Lord. He's in the presence of the Lord. Have you ever gone into the presence of the Lord and just cried? Man, that's a refreshing thing. I'll tell you what, I I cry a lot. I'm sure you guys are aware of that. And as a result it I mean it just takes it gets comes out of you and you feel really good. You feel very healthy. You feel very strong and you know that God has it. He's taking care of it. So you have a trust that you can rely upon because you went to him and cried it out or you went to him and talked to him about it even just before teaching this. You know, I I'm dealing with a little scheduling issue here with with getting these teachings out and the desire of how much I want to teach you and how much I want to delve into the word of God. And so there I was just crying it out to the Lord, making the inside of me feel vulnerable and having to, you know, address that to the Lord. Yeah, I'm not strong and everything and I'm not holier than that. I make mistakes all the time, but I know who my God is and I choose to be in his presence. It's a choice. It's an action. You have to speak the word and you get into that presence with him. And let me just simply say that there are no describable words for it. But more happens in that moment than any good or a thousand good preachers can preach. You know, don't even, you know, I I know you're you're hearing this message. You're listening, but don't take my word for it. Go try it. Get into the presence of the Lord. Let his Holy Spirit manifest in you and change the way you are on the inside because that's what this is all about. Spending time in his presence. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. And that's another thing is that the Lord will give you counsel. Just even reading the word of God here, we're given counsel to come into his presence because we know we're going to get more out of that than we going and seeing a pastor or going and seeing a counselor or going and seeing someone. If you need to be prayed with with someone, go up and be prayed with them. But remember to come into his presence and say, "Lord, I need you. Lord, I I need you." whatever it may be. This is where now you get to come before him. And I love how a lot of the psalmists and David was saying, "Give ear to my word." Call, they're actually tugging on the Lord's ear. Come here. I need you to hear what I'm saying. That's being in the presence of the Lord. Some people think, "No, no, no. That's too holy. I I I'm not worthy to do that. Hey, let me let you in on a little secret." Jesus has redeemed you. And because you're redeemed, God calls you righteous. And he will let you tug on his ear. Hallelujah. You have his attention. Every time you come into his presence, Lord, doesn't matter what. In this case, the psalmist says, "Place your head to protect me, headed your hedge around me to protect me, and then I will trust in you." that's what his need is here in this circumstance. But imagine, Lord, look at my finances. I've got a problem. Or Lord, hey, this doctor is saying something that I disagree with. What can we do to get out of this because I don't want to follow that path. I choose you. And the moment you press in, the moment you're into his presence, the moment you speak your word, things change because that's who God is. He transforms the circumstance and the situation which is what we need. And look at this. So I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. Talking about what the Lord is doing to him. So he's going to bless him. He says, "But my reigns," by the way that's kidneys or figuratively the mind. It's from the inside. My reigns also instruct me in the adversity seasons or the night seasons. My reigns, we want to do things our way. And when we're in that night season, that dark time, that pain wounded moment when we are in that situation, he is telling us he's going to bless the Lord no matter what. See, he can't sleep at night. Whatever the circumstances, it is bothering him. It is hurting him. And he's saying, "I'm going to bless the Lord. Even with my mind, which is telling me to worry about it, never mind. I'm going to choose to bless the Lord. I'm going to choose to enter his presence. I'm going to choose to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved, healed, delivered, preserved." We're going to see that here shortly. And notice he's making um active decisions in this. He's deciding to do this. Verse eight, I have set the Lord always before me. Always before me. There's moments where we're in full joy, but he's saying, "I love you, Lord. I bless you, Lord. I thank you, Lord." There's moments though that he's he's in a circumstance. Well, Lord, I'm going to call on you anyways because you're my inheritance and I bless your name and I call on your name and I know you are there and I will trust and confide in you. So, he says, "Always before me, because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved or wavered." Meaning, he's going to continue to do that. The devil can't touch him. If you're in a situation where you're dealing with circumstances, a lot of it might be because you're not spending time in the presence of the Lord. But when you get there, he can't even touch you because you're so busy saying, "Lord, I bless you. Lord, I love you. Lord, I give you glory. Lord, I know you got this situation taken care of." That is what we're talking about. This is the type of moment we should be in at all times. Ready for it because life will throw us curve balls. Curveballs. We know that. We've all experienced those things. But God, he intervenes because where is he? I have said the Lord always. He is at my right hand. He's right here holding on to my hand. Amen. I shall not be moved, wavered. And then verse nine, therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoice rejoicth. My flesh also shall rest in hope, a place of refuge because he knows. Give it a little bit more time and the circumstance is going to turn around. You see, prayer works. And when you pray, you speak the spoken word and you're in his presence because you blessing him. you're calling on him, everything turns around for the better. Look at verse 10. For thou will not leave my soul in hell. Hallelujah. Cuz see, the spirit that I just taught on this last week, the spirit that is in me is the same spirit that's in Christ. And that spirit rose Christ from the dead is going to raise me up from the dead as well. And the psalmist knew this. And he hadn't even met Jesus, but he knew who God is, the father. and who that's who he's acknowledging in his presence. He's coming into his presence. For thou wil not leave my soul in hell, neither wil thou suffer appoint thine holy one to see corruption or destruction. You see, God doesn't want to see us destroyed. He doesn't want to see us lose, but he's trying to teach us how to come to him first and how to be in his presence, how to call on his name, how to put him into the circumstance because unbelievers and believers alike all face the same circumstances. How do you face yours? Are you calling on the name of the Lord? Are you spending time in his presence so that you know to call on the name of the Lord? be encouraged as you spend more time in the presence of the Lord, the more you're going to be calling on him. And that's the way it ought to be. Amen. And then coming back to our opening scripture here, thou wil show me the path of life. Oh, see these are the results of pushing in, talking to him, acknowledging to your soul and acknowledging to the Lord that you will bless him and that I'm not going to move because you're at my right hand. Here he's saying, you're going to show me the path of life and in your presence is the fullness of joy. At thy right hand there are pleasures for e forever more. This is what we have gi been given and we ought to call him on it. And by the way, all of us should do that because we all have that right to it. Romans 10:13, for whosoever shall call. See, the psalmist spoke. Jesus spoke. And here Romans is telling us, call, speak, invoke, worship, decide, appeal upon the name of the Lord, and you'll be saved, delivered, protected, healed, preserved. Not just from eternal death and hell, but for eternal life and every situation you face. It's almost like being at a bank and and bank robbers rob uh walking in. Call upon the name of the Lord. He will save you out of that situation immediately. Immediately. Please understand this. This is He's there. He, you know, when Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, I talked about this last week. Peter, you know, said, "If you are the Lord, call me out to you." And and the Lord said, "Come out here." And he did until the moment he realized he he perceived all of a sudden, "I'm doing something I'm not supposed to be doing. I'm walking on water." And he starts to sink. And he says, "Jesus, save me." Call and puts his arm out. And Jesus immediately was right there and saved him. Jesus will save us immediately. You need to invoke him. Worship. Even before I talked to him about this, I was worshiping the Lord. As I was preparing for this, folding my laundry, putting away just worshiping the Lord and just telling him how holy he is because I didn't know what to teach on today. and and I just have to trust in the Lord of what he's going to do. And it is so wonderful because he's showing me and as I was standing there being in his presence, how wonderful. I mean, it it does so much to what's going on on the inside. And he's saving me, delivering me, healing me, preserving me. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I didn't go to the next scripture. Let's go to Psalm 103 and look at the blessings we have here. These are uh the blessings that this psalmist wrote. And he says in verse 10, "He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities." Very important to understand here. You're saved. Don't let the devil tell you otherwise. God doesn't deal with you based on your sin. And that's exactly what he's saying here. He's not rewarding us for that either. He says, "For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him." That is so very important that we understand his mercy. We can come into his presence every single time and be saved every single time. come out of our circumstance and situation every time we can call on his name, invoke his name, declare his name. That's the right we've been given. Go back. Let's go further back into Psalm 103. Let's read verses 2 through5. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forgot forget not all his benefits. You see, you've been redeemed and you ought to be walking in it, which means being in his presence, which is better than going to a movie, better than going out with friends. Better than this or that. You can go out with friends. There's nothing wrong with that. But make sure that you also put your time in into his presence. Amen. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities. He pardoned us. Who healed health men, all thy diseases. He's healed us. He's healed us from our sicknesses and diseases. Every time you spend time in the Lord, I've been teaching on this for years as well. You sin and the consequence of sin cannot stand in the presence of the Lord. So when you press into his presence, sin has to flee. Which means the consequence of sin has to flee. cancer, sickness, diseases, they're gone. They're healed because he pardoned our iniquities and he healed all of our diseases. Who redeemed us. He bought us back. He bought us life from destruction. He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. And he satisfies our mouth with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles. I'm 55 years old now. I could use some renewing of the youth like the eagles. I'm going to tell you this is what we ought to do as believers in Christ. Come into his presence. Get these benefits. And if you have to remind yourself, print, type up these scriptures, print them out, put them up on your wall. Every time you see them, you declare it. You speak it because you invoke the name of Jesus. You're reminding your soul. You're reminding your body. You're reminding your flesh. You're reminding your life that he comes first. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. We pray that we apply your word and that it does not leave our minds and our hearts that we live it and give you the glory, the honor, the praise, and the strength. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, thank you for your word. Lord, your word will not return void and we know that your word that gets planted in our hearts will manifest later. So Lord, let the seeds be planted. Let us receive and be aware and hear your teaching today and know what mercy is about and know what your return is about. We thank you in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. I'm glad you can be here today to watch this lesson. It's um very interesting one, a little bit different. We're going to be talking about a number. So the number is the 490th. So let's go to our opening scripture here. Uh we're in Daniel 9:24. We're going to be uh in different scriptures but a lot in Daniel here 9. So uh let's start with reading. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. So we're going to be talking about the number 490. And you're going to see here in a moment how 490 years are decreed or determined through uh to Israel and Jerusalem. And we're going to show what 490 represents and how God works in that time period, not just to the nation of Israel, but to the believer. And as a believer, these are things that we have to deal with. So now I also want to make sure that anyone who's new, you understand how I teach. So when I bring up a screen print like this or a screenshot uh PowerPoint presentation uh I bring up the scripture in King James version. The bold word is the original in King James. Anything in parenthesis is either something I've added or it is something that um is another word defined for that word through the Hebrews strong the strongs Hebrew Greek dictionary. Okay. Um, so I use that as my teaching tools when I'm here. So let's start off. We got to lay some foundation here to understand what 490 means. So right now what I'm showing you in Daniel 9 is Gabriel the angel is talking to Daniel. Daniel has fasted 21 days. He had a vision and so Gabriel is giving him this vision. It's the word from the Lord. So he says here 70 weeks. So the word week means year. Here it's translated as years. So we're looking at 490 year time period. And he says here 490 years are determined upon thy people. So he's talking to Daniel. So who is Daniel's people? The Israelites. So he's talking to Israel. And upon thy holy city. Who is the holy city? Jerusalem. It's capital of Israel to finish. Now I want you to see something here. God just assigned 490 years to Israel to accomplish this list of things that he has to do. So, you're about to see God's to-do list. Yes, God has a to-do list. And as he completes everything, he's going to be checking off his to-do list. We I I don't know about you, but I've used to-do list throughout the years of my life. Is a great tool to have. So here God is sharing his to-do list with us. Now I want to make certain that you understand something here. He is saying this is for Israel and Jerusalem. I don't see the church in there and I don't see the body of Christ in there. He doesn't say and righteous believers or anyone else like this. No, he says to Israel and Jerusalem. So let's go over this checklist. Let's lay this foundation so we can understand what the 490th is about. Amen. Okay. So it says to finish which is restrict withhold the transgression. A transgression is a re uh a revolt a rebellion. Now he assigned 490 years to Israel. Are people still revoling rebellion today? Yes. We're seeing protest uh over this weekend. No kings and then uh no kings day uh protest. you're seeing um anti-Israel protest and save Palestine and get rid of ISIS. All kinds of rebellions and revolts going on right now. So he says, okay, 490 years and and this was written probably about I don't know 500 years before Jesus, maybe a little less than that before Jesus was born. So, you're looking at a time period here that should have already been done, but it's not because Jesus came. Anyways, it tells you in Daniel. Let's go take a look at that. Says to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins. Now, a sin is an offense. You offend God when you sin. And it could be anything. Anything can offend, you know, if you choose to ignore him today. He's the farthest from your mind. That's sin. And and some people think, oh, it's just murder, lying, cheating, whatever. No, sin is just being away from God. That's also sin. So he says, okay, 490 years, I'm going to complete the rebellion. I'm going to shut that down. And then I'm going to shut down the offense, the sin. Okay? And this hasn't happened yet. What else is he going to do? and to make reconciliation for iniquity. He's going to cover or cancel perversity. Iniquity is being perverse. Now you're purposely doing something against God. You can see the different levels here. You've got a rebellion, you've got offense, and now you have intent. This is where someone is pervertly they're they're doing it on a a perverse way. they're um purposely misleading or purposely hurting. They have an intent to harm. That's what this is about. Again, he says though he's going to cover that. And that's interesting because see, none of that has happened yet, but he says he's going to do it. Now, remember, prophecy is still being fulfilled. So, this is all on the horizon. It is coming. It will be completed. says uh and to bring in everlasting righteousness. Now everlasting righteousness means you are righteous every moment of every day. I don't know about you, but when I go to sleep, what am I my dreams? I have no control over those. Am I not being righteous at that point? Am I sinning? You see, so we are not in this perfection of completion that God said he's going to do on his checklist. It's not there. What else did he say he's going to do? and to seal up vision and prophecy. So prophecy still has to be completed. Vision needs to complete it. All of God's written word still needs to be done. That hasn't happened. Even though he says, "I'm giving you 490 years to do this." So watch how this works out. Then he says, "And to anoint the most holy," which we know would be Jesus. We know that Jesus came and we know that he went to the cross and that he for is forgiving everyone. He brought mercy with him. He didn't come to judge the world. Not as the the son of God as the Messiah on the cross. He will judge later when he is king. He is coming back to that at the end of Revelation. You can go check that out. So now let's go to the next scripture because there has to be a butt in here because it hasn't happened yet. You see what I'm saying? So he says here, know therefore and understand. So he's telling you, I want you to think about this intellectually. I want you to cognitively think this through. Be pay attention. He says that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the prince. Stop here. He's giving us a window. It says when the command goes forth to restore and build Jerusalem. Okay, so Daniel lived at the time when Israel was taken into captivity under Babylon. Now remember, if you read all of the book of Daniel, you will find that there's Babylon, there's uh the prince of, let's see, Babylon, the Greeks, the Mes Persians, and then Rome. All of that is prophesied in Daniel, but Daniel is living in the time of Babylon. Nehemiah and Ezra, they're living about 20 to 30 years later. So when Nehemiah gets the king's decree, because see Nehemiah, go read the book of Nehemiah, go read the book of Ezra, they went and rebuilt the city because Jeremiah the prophet, all these prophets, Jeremiah the prophet actually prophesied and Daniel understood it that they would be in captivity for 70 years and they were. So that 70 years was coming up to an end. And so now the people of Israel can go back, but the place is a disaster. So Ezra and Nehemiah, they go back and rebuild and restore. They have a revival that actually takes place in this. Now imagine that happening to the church today. Amen. We rebuild. We go back and rebuild our holy temple with the Lord and and come into his sacrifices that way. Anyways, I digress. So here Dan, Gabriel's telling Daniel when that commandment goes forth and I'm guessing Daniel was alive at that time or he set people in motion to watch because remember the magi showed up when Jesus was a toddler and uh they they didn't actually show up at the manger. They showed up a couple years later following the the signs of the stars. That was implemented by Daniel because Daniel knew the numbers. He knew 490 but he also knew what this is about to say. So when that decree that's your starting point then it says unto Messiah the prince. So from the moment the decree that went through Nehemiah and from that king all the way to when Messiah would be born and raised. He says look at the what he says here. He says shall be seven weeks. Now here we go again. Weeks means years. 7 * 7 is 49. 49 years. This is and three score in 2 weeks which is 62 years or 62 * 7 is your 434 years plus that 49 because he's saying and so you got to add it together. You're looking at 483 years. So from Daniel's time, Nehemiah's time, all the way to when Jesus was born, there was 400 plus years, they call it the quiet time where God was not talking during that time. Uh so you see no activity in that time frame uh between those the minor prophets all the way up to when Jesus is born. Very quiet. So now he's saying there's going to be 483 years. And if you go back and look at history, there was. So when Jesus was cut off, now let's read the rest of it because I want you to understand. So he says uh 7 weeks, so 483 years says the street shall be built again and the wall even in trouble times. That's what Nehemiah, that's what Ezra did. They worked on that even and you can go read the trouble that they dealt with in that. It was incredible. Now uh you go to verse 26 and then it says after that time he says here after three score in two weeks. So take that whole time period and put it all together says after the 483 years because see that's the logical because that's when it happened was 43 83 years 483 years later. We're going to get to that in just a second. I want to uh go into that more detail. Shall Messiah be cut off? Okay. So from the time that Nehemiah was given to his his decree to go to Jerusalem to the time when Messiah was cut off, crucified, it would be a total of 483 years. Okay. Now, we don't know the exact dates and our calendars don't match. when I add up the numbers, I'm off by seven or eight years, which is very interesting because remember there's still seven years left after the 490. So there is uh this time period that's there and according to God and he has it in his calendar which is the most important calendar we see 483 years has been completed for Israel and Jerusalem. So 483 are done. And then Messiah was cut off. He was crucified. Now let's read the rest of that. Messiah shall be cut off or Messiah be cut off but not for himself. Remember Jesus first coming wasn't about him becoming king. Even though Israel said, "Oh, you're going to be our king. How are you going to restore the kingdom?" Even uh Peter and James and all of them were asking after he rose from the grave, are you going to restore Israel now? And then Jesus says, it's not for you to know the se times and the seasons. So they were looking for their king to restore the kingdom of Israel. They didn't realize that the prophecies, there's like two sets of prophecies, if you will. One set was for him to come as Messiah, as our savior and another one was to come as king. Now see, they thought savior of Israel because they were taking it personal and that's what had happened. That that is all what really happened. But Jesus will be coming back as a king. So this is not complete. Hold on. Let's let's get a little bit more of this. And but not for himself. So he he did it to pay the ransom and redeem all of us. So he didn't do it for himself. He did it for us. That's him going to the cross for us with permission from God. He He did that. Okay. Then he says, "And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." And we're talking, I should have looked it up, um 20 to 40 years, I think it's 40 years later, Jerusalem was destroyed. Might be 20. Anyways, in that time frame, Jerusalem was destroyed. the whole city they they brought down the walls and it was completely destroyed and burned down. That is history that has physically happened. Then he says here, "And the end thereof shall be with the flood and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." Okay, that part hasn't happened yet. Okay, Jerusalem hasn't been that whole area hasn't been destroyed with a flood. In fact, it was uh a desert for so long. It was desolate. And then Israel came back in 1948 and they got the capital Jerusalem back in 1967. So Jerusalem came back in 1967. This is key to understand some of this stuff. Look what he says here in Revelation 12:16. And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. So, we have seven years left that has not been completed for Israel and Jerusalem. It's not for the church. It's not for the body of Christ. And I will continue to teach on that because the scriptures clearly show we're not involved in that clock. In fact, the clock has paused because Messiah was cut off. And in essence, the ministry was taken away from Israel and was given to the church. Now, we're under a different clock, but there's still seven years that are not complete. The book of Revelation and the book of Daniel talk about that seven years. Now, notice what Daniel was saying. A flood will come in and then look what Revelation says. Swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast. So, the dragon tried to flood Israel. is this is the second half of the seven-year time period called the abomination of desolation. What happens is when the temple is rebuilt, Israel will begin the daily sacrifices all over again. And they will do this under the pretense of peace under a false messiah. They don't know it's false. They're just they're going to believe this person. So at the halfway mark of this last seven years, it's like the 1,200 1,260th day, this antichrist, because that's really what he is, is going to sit on that throne in that temple and he's going to tell Israel, "Worship me. I'm your God." And that's when Jesus tells them, "When you see the abomination of desolation, that's what the abomination of desolation is about. When you see that, run." Well, while they're running, they're going to go hide. The devil is going to try to flood them out and the earth is going to swallow that flood. So, you can see that has not happened, but it was prophesied by Daniel and he talked about the desolation. So, you can see all of these events uh that are going to come in and take place. This is part of um prophecy. Now, just so you have a better understanding of all of this, says uh to so you understand the 7-year time period here, he says in Revelation 11:3, "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a,23 score days clothed in sackcloth." Sackloth. That's the first half of the 7-year time period. So, this seven-year time period is true. Now, look at this other scripture just so you get a better understanding. says, "And the woman fled into the wilderness." This is Revelation 12:6, "Where she hath a place prepared of God." This is, see, I told you she was going to be running and then the flood's going to come in. So, brought the flood up a little earlier, but and the woman fled into the wilderness where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there 1,23 score days. There you are. You've got a seven-year time period. And I wanted to kind of bring that infrastructure in here that this is the scriptures that is prophesying about all of this stuff that's going to take place. Very, very specific prophecy and it has not happened yet. It's coming. It has not happened yet. So, let's continue back with Daniel because I want you to get the fullness of this. Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. See, he's talking about the Antichrist. This guy is going to come in for one week or seven years because a week means years. Seven times 1 is seven. Seven years. So he's saying he shall confirm the covenant. He's going to make a the antichrist and Israel are going to make this pact. They're going to make uh a covenant together for this seven-year peace time. And in the midst of the week, he shall curse the sacrifice. In the midst of the week, did you see that? In the midst of the year at this 1,260 days, look what he says is going to happen. He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. See, right at that moment, the daily sacrifices are going to end because he's going to try to sit on the throne and he's going to well, he's going to sit on the throne and he's going to tell Israel, "Hey, you worship me." And Israel is going to be like, "Whoa, we made a mistake. Wrong guy." And they're going to run. And he says here to cease and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate even unto until the consummation or completion and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. This is going to happen. This is an event. Now this is an event for Israel because Israel is the temple. Israel is the chosen people by God. Israel has this time period. So they still have seven years to complete. But look what Peter and Jesus conversed about. It was very very interesting. Uh in Matthew 18:21-22, it says, 'Then came Peter to him and said, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him till seven times? Again, that would mean 49 times. Okay, that's what the scriptur is translating to. And Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee until seven times, but until 70* 7 or 490. This is about forgiveness. Let's look at what Jesus says about forgiveness in Matthew 6:14 and 15. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. So there's something very interesting here that Jesus is showing Peter the church. Peter represents the church. Yeah, he's Israeli. Yes, he's a Hebrew, but he is the one who's the church laid on him, the rock. So the church comes out of Peter and so Jesus tells him, I don't want you just to forgive seven times. I want you to forgive 490 times. Now having this framework now of this the 490th knowing that there's a seven-year time period, what happens in that seven-year time period? God pours out his wrath. Well, hold on a second. his wrath. Yes, he's going to pour out his wrath on the earth and on Israel. And if you go through the scriptures, which I just taught in the last couple lessons where uh when especially when I was talking about forgiveness that the church won't be there, I taught on this when there's 50 days when this creepy um horse scorpion looking thing will go and sting and torment the people. That creature will do that for 50 days. uh excuse me five months and in that five month time period they can't nobody can defend themselves. The only people who are protected and kept from those things are the 144,000 that are sealed in Revelation 7 and the two witnesses and the two witnesses will be eventually killed in the middle of that time period and that's when the antichrist wins and he goes and sits on the throne. So here there the antichrist is prevented from doing anything. But the last uh half three and a half years the antichrist reigns completely. There is actually no representation of God and the 144,000 are sealed and hidden. They're kept away and the devil can't get to them. So here you have this wrath this time period. Why would God do that? What is he up to? Every person that ends up in this seven-year time period are people who say one that God Jesus is not the son of God. And you can test that spirit by going and looking at 1 John 4:1. He tells you to test the spirits. And if they can't say Jesus is the son of God, they're not of God. That's one. And he's pouring out on his wrath on Israel because he says, "I'm going to bring an end to transgression, to sin, to he he's going to end that checklist that we went over in detail earlier. He's going to bring an end to all of that, the iniquity, the sin, the transgression. He's closing it up. Closing up vision and prophecy. He's going to do do that and anoint the most holy." In all of that, he is showing mercy in the last seven years. Wait a second here. Wait a second. If If we're to forgive 490 times, look at what Jesus is showing us. See, if people don't change the way they do things after, let's say 400 times, just to use a number that's easy to understand, do you think that person will change? Do you do you think that person wants to change their life? No. Why? Because it's now a habit and they're going to continue to live in that sin and keep completing that sin over and over again. So, how does God work with someone to get them out of sin? Have you ever seen in your own personal life, all hell breaks loose and then suddenly you're spending a lot of time with God and then you realize he gets you out of it and you're like, "Man, Lord, I thank you." And you start you you end up having a closer relationship with God because of what he took you through because you repented and came back to him. The whole point of that seven years, the last seven years is God is pouring out his wrath to get the attention of these people. And you can go look at the scriptures and they will show you. And they still did not repent. This was all being poured out on them and they still didn't repent. But this was God showing mercy trying to get their attention. Look at, you know, those horselike creature scorpion things are demonic. their demons that they're going to see eye to eye and it's going to look like a man's face. That's what the scriptures tell you. You can go read this and do a little homework on that. Uh I think it's Revelation 8 or nine, but you can go check it out and he will tell you that these things are going to be stinging the people on the earth, tormenting them. They're not allowed to kill them, but they are allowed to torment. Why would God do that? Because he's trying to get your attention. You keep rejecting him over and over. But Jesus continues to forgive them. He's trying to give them more time, more chance to get them saved before it all comes to a conclusion. Because see, Jesus doesn't want to lose any. He doesn't want to lose any. So, there's a day that's coming. Let's look at this in Revelation 6 says verse 12-17. And I beheld when I when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackloth of hair, and the moon became as blood, and the stars of heaven fell into the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll, when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains, and said unto the mountains, and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that siteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb, for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand. So, see, he's now saying, this is the time to get saved. This is the time to repent because that is coming and it's going to be so much harder because these people are going to have a hardened heart and they're after all of the hell that they're going to go through on earth before they even get to hell. They're going to say, "No, we're going to continue to reject you." They're going to have a hardened heart. It's going to be harder to get saved in that time period. Now is the time to get a hold of grace. And I've been teaching this now for several lessons. And I'm hoping that you get bold and confident and talk to your family and friends and let them know this is coming because that's for the unbeliever. That's for those who say Jesus is not the son of God. But you and I know better. We know that Jesus is the son of God. We also know that he is showing his compassion to this group of people, giving them chance after chance after chance in hopes that he could even save them. And remember what Lamentation says. Lamentations 3:22 and 23. It is of the Lord's mercies, kindness that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They're new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. They are new every morning. We have a chance to have that mercy and grace now. Don't lose the chance or the opportunity. And if you're afraid to tell someone about the Lord, he's afraid to tell his father about you, you need to get it together and say, you know what, I put Christ first. You have to make that determination in your heart and mind because this is very important now that we come into repentance, come into grace, and put God first in our lives. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word, and we bless your word. I pray that we have boldness and confidence to go speak your word to get as many saved as we possibly can. I know that salvation is of you. I know that you it is your grace that saves. I pray that every person hears your grace and says, "Yes, Lord. I accept your grace. I want to be forgiven and walk in that forgiveness." And yes, I want to declare you the son of God. GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS The objective of Gethsemane: The Oil Press is to reveal the spiritual principle of transformation through pressure, drawing from Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane as the ultimate example. Inspired Teaching: Mark 14:32 “Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, ‘Sit here while I pray’” In the natural it is hard to believe that sweet clear oil can come from olives; just judging by their appearance it would be difficult for many of us to figure out that olives can produce such a great and valuable commodity if we did not know about them already. The Bible uses God’s creation in many different ways as a metaphor or in other words, God uses physical things that we naturally understand to reveal spiritual principles which are naturally difficult for us to understand, that is why Jesus used so many parables in His teachings. It would be extremely hard for, let’s say, creatures that know about the goodness and holiness of Almighty God, and who also know and are well aware of the rottenness of man, to think that in any way, shape, or form we humans are created in the image of God, but we are. And that is exactly the idea that this metaphor is trying to convey to us. Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” The first thing that this metaphor teaches us is that the transition between humanity and divinity is a process, a difficult, some will say impossible process, but as the angel told Mary, God specializes in making those things which are impossible a reality. The foundational principle of this process is revealed in the reality of the life and death struggle that is found throughout the creation. Mark 14:34 “Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.’” Everything in creation speaks of the struggles between life and death, beginning and ending, and the continuance of life through procreation. Spiritual procreation however, and by that I mean the human transformation that takes place from natural to spiritual, from mortality to immortality, as well as the born again experience, cannot be attained unless one dies first. We see this in the creation as well, it is called metamorphosis. John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” This process of dying to self so that we can become alive to God can be best understood by the Gethsemane principle that Jesus taught us. John 12:25 “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” The Gethsemane principle is one of slowly applying pressure until a separation takes place, the liquid must be removed from the solid, in our case, our souls which are spiritual in nature must be weaned from their dependence to the flesh, if the transformation is going to be successful. Psalm 131:2 “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.” This principle is at odds with some of what we hear taught today about Christianity, for in some instances Christian doctrine is offered as a way to get away from pressure, sort of like a refuge from reality. I kind of get the impression sometimes that what some are preaching is, Come to Jesus and all your troubles and poverty will magically disappear, and you will have no more struggles with life. But that is not what Jesus said, unfortunately those who come to Jesus on the basis of a false premise are more likely to quit and give up. John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus makes it very clear that the aim of the process is not to remove the tribulation, the pressure that we are under while we are in the world; but rather that we may attain His peace in the middle of the tribulation. We convert the physical pressures of this world into spiritual peace, a peace that is not of this world, and the way that we know that we can do that is because He not only did it before us, but He showed us how to do it as well. And this is how He did it: Mark 14:36 “And He said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.’” Here is how I see it: If I know that all of my sins have been forgiven, and if I know that my daily walk with Him is one that continuously depends on His grace and mercy which are new every morning, and if I know that that is what keeps me in right standing with Him; then I know that if I am facing a difficult situation and I ask Him to remove it from me, for I much rather not drink of that cup if you will, of whatever it is that I am facing, and if He does not remove it from me, I am immediately made aware of the fact this is something that will be beneficial for me in the long run, and I must endure it. So that I do not feel like He does not love me anymore, or that He is punishing me for some old sin that He never brought up, or that I somehow fell out of His will for my life. Peace is knowing that it is well with my soul no matter what. If He removes the thorn from my flesh, I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me, if He does not, then I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me by letting me go through a process of purification that will make me more sensitive to His spiritual promptings. So like Jesus, in whatever situation I am facing, I let our Father know how I feel about the prospect of an undesirable tribulation that is coming my way, but then I say with a submitted and honest heart: Not my will, but Your will be done in my life. For I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I belong to Him, and that I am in His will to the best of my present abilities, and that whatever comes my way is part of the process that will one day deliver me into the joy of His presence, completed and transformed, into what He destined me to be, for He is able to do it, I just got to go along with it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” Now if I am one of those who believe that Christianity is like a club med type of resort, where all my needs are tended to immediately, with no disturbances to bother me, and I say in my heart to the Lord, When is that big limousine coming over to take me to heaven Lord, for as You know Lord, next year is not going to work out for me, for I got other and more important things to do? Boy! Then I would be in for a rude awakening. Think of all the different olives that are thrown down into the pit of the olive press, is any of them treated differently than the others? I think not! They are all pressed evenly and thoroughly until the process is completed, then and only then is the flesh removed, after all the oil has been extracted, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke. Mark 14:3 “And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His (Jesus) head.” Before Jesus headed for His encounter with Gethsemane He was anointed with a very expensive perfumed oil. Before the apostles of Jesus headed for their encounter with their destined Gethsemane, where all of them but John died as martyrs, they also were anointed with the precious oil of the Spirit that came down from heaven. Before we enter into our very own Gethsemane oil press, we are all anointed as well, for none of us can be born again unless we are first born of the Spirit of God. So that I see a pattern here. What makes the miracle of the transformation is the Oil of God in us, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of worthlessness and makes us precious before Him. Many do not understand the function of the Oil of God, or the oil of the anointing. If you remember as the one hundred and twenty disciples were filled with the oil of the Spirit and had the oil of the anointing lid over their heads, some said of them that they were drunk, for they could not see the great significance of the event. Mark 14:4 “But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, ‘Why was this fragrant oil wasted?’” It was the same when Jesus was anointed by the woman, some saw nothing but a waste of a good, perfumed oil, and thereby missed the significance as well, which Jesus soon reveled to them. Mark 14:8 “She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.” Here is the revelation of the mystery that I see: The anointing that we all crave and want to be filled of with its power, its a burial anointing, a death anointing if you will. It makes me wonder how many of us when we pray for God’s anointing power for our lives, if we really know that what we are asking for is to die the death of the cross, die to self, die to life, that He may live in us and through us without us hindering Him and His will for us. Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the anointed One) lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Previous Next Home

The Holy Spirit sanctifies every human who believes the TRUTH, as presented in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yet, even with this new nature, the old nature remains, requiring believers to put to death the works of the flesh through deliberate spiritual discipline (Colossians 3:1-5). Pastor Marcos highlights that prayer and fasting are key in breaking the strongholds of iniquity (Matthew 17:21). Fasting denies the flesh and its selfish desires, while prayer brings revelation knowledge and empowers faith to overcome unbelief. He draws symbolic connections between numbers in Scripture—such as seventeen (works of the flesh) and nine (fruit of the Spirit)—to reveal God’s design for deliverance and transformation. When multiplied (17 × 9 = 153), the result points to the redeemed “sons of God” (John 21:11). Ultimately, the lesson underscores that separation from God is overcome through Christ’s covenant, by walking in self-control, producing spiritual fruit, and embracing disciplines that break generational bondage. True restoration comes when believers humble themselves before God in prayer and fasting, allowing Him to convert the soul and draw them back into unbroken fellowship with Him. Written teaching: Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” How do sincere Christians know if their relationship with God is in a estate of separation? For if our relationship with God is estranged, no matter how hard we pray, we can be certain that He will not hear us. In our opening text we are told that iniquities are the culprits. Not only in separating us from God, but also the reason that we continue to sin in a matter that causes God to hide His face from us, so that we will not be the recipients of God’s answers to our prayers anytime soon. The problem with iniquity is that in many instances they were transferred to us through our genetic code. That means that many of us were born with character flaws, physical flaws, and weaknesses, that predisposed us to struggle with certain sins and ailments in our lives. Since we know who the culprit is, let us take a Scriptural look at how iniquities work, so that we can figure out how to get rid of them. Exodus 20:5 “You shall not bow to them nor serve them (idols). For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me.” All of us are the product of two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents and sixteen great-great-grandparents, if we go four generations back. If any of those thirty people in our immediate lineage practiced idolatry, their act of hatred towards God opened the door within our family line to be afflicted with the consequences of their iniquitous sin. We could say that iniquity is our inherited predisposition to sin, and we can take that one all the way back to Adam. We may think, well that it is not fair, for us to be born with such a burden of sin, a sin that we did not even take part in, but from God’s point of view we see a different trade off if you will. Exodus 20:6 “But showing mercy to thousands (of generations), to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” Salvation is a covenant, and once we enter into the covenant of salvation that Jesus mediated for us, we guarantee that our seed will be part of the covenant of salvation forever, long after we’ve been gone. Acts 3:25-26 “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your iniquities.” And the way that God turned away our iniquities from us, was by transforming our sinful nature, that in the natural resembles the first Adam who was made after the flesh, to be conformed to the image of the last Adam, Jesus Christ our Lord, through the born again experience, who came to bless us with His incorruptible nature. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all died, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” The covenant for us who are in Christ Jesus is this, we have become partakers of the divine nature of Jesus, we are part of His body. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” But just like with every covenant, there are actions that are required of those who are under the covenant, in order for them to possess the benefits that are stipulated within the covenant and make it theirs. Colossians 3:1-2, 5 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on things on the earth...Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Yes, we have a new nature, but we still have the old nature as well, the nature that contains all the iniquities that it had inherited through the sins of idolatry committed by our ancestors, and we are commanded to put those contaminated things that remain within our flesh to death. Matthew 17:21 “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” After His disciples failed to cure a boy who suffered from epileptic seizures, Jesus told them that their failure was due to their unbelief, or lack of faith. He told them that if they dare to believe, that with the power of faith they would be able to move mountains and that nothing would be impossible for them. Then Jesus added, within the context of His disciples needing more faith, that prayer and fasting were a requirement as well, in order for them to remove the demonic stronghold that they had failed to dislodge. Fasting has to do with denying the flesh that still bears the image of the first Adam, in other words we need to be operating within the realm of self-control instead of selfish-ambitions. Prayer has to do with asking for the revelation knowledge that they lacked while dealing with the situation that they had failed to resolve. Let’s take a closer look and see what we can learn from it. It was a father and son situation, a boy who probably suffered from these seizures since early childhood, so that his infirmity had to be the result of iniquity that he had inherited. It is not by coincidence that the number seventeen is found in relation to both the story recorded in Matthew chapter seventeen, and in verse seventeen of 2 Corinthians 5, where we are told of our new nature. So that the number seventeen is the key that connects both the old and the new nature. The number seventeen is the seventh prime number, seven is the number of perfection; and it is in verse twenty-one, 3 X 7 = 21 of Matthew 17: where we are given the key by Jesus about praying and fasting to completely remove the strongholds of iniquity from all three, spirit, soul, and body. Seventeen is also the sum of our sixteen great-great-grandparents and us. So that in the four generations we find the number sixteen at their foundation, and we ourselves sit as number one on the top of this fleshly pyramid of our four generations ancestry. That means that iniquity has a number and so does our new nature. When we multiply the number seventeen which is the number of the flesh according to: Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery (1), fornication (2), uncleanness (3), lewdness (4), idolatry (5), sorcery (6), hatred (7), contentions (8), jealousies (9), outbursts of wrath (10), selfish ambitions (11), dissentions (12), heresies (13), envy (14), murders (15), drunkenness (16), revelries (17), and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things will not inherit (the promises of deliverance from iniquity) the kingdom of God.” By the number nine, which is the number of spiritual fruit: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love (1), joy (2), peace (3), longsuffering (4), kindness (5), goodness (6), faithfulness (7), gentleness (8), self-control (9). Against such there is no law (the law that visits iniquity from the fathers to their children is abolished).” We come up with the number that classifies us as children of God’s new nature: 17 X 9 = 153. John 21:11 “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.” The number 153 is the numerical value for the Hebrew phrase sons of Elohim, the enlightened sons of God, which encompasses all of the redeemed from all of the ages. We are already children of God, heirs of His promises, so what is the common denominator here? Romans 8:17 “And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed (acts prompted by our faith, like fasting and praying) we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Are you surprised that the answer is found in a verse of Scripture that has been assigned with the number seventeen as well? Here is the key, acts of selfish ambitions are always the works of the flesh, and along with the works of the flesh are the workings of iniquity manifested. Spiritual fruit flows out of a heart of love that wants to fulfill the law of Christ, that is, it desires to walk under the power of self-control. Fasting has to do with a lot more than just not eating, it has to do with depriving the flesh of its wantonness. Self-denial can be attained through honest prayer, for when the human heart appears before the presence of God humbled and broken, in the spirit of contrition, God always attends to its needs, and there is where a true converting of the soul takes place, in the secret place of the broken heart. Inspired Teaching: Genesis 28:16-19 “Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, ‘Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.’ And he was afraid and said, ‘how awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven (spiritual portal)!’ Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel (house of God); but the name of that city had been Luz previously.” From the experience of Jacob that is recorded in the Scripture above, we can glean a tremendous amount of information in regards to the nature and function of spiritual portals, otherwise known as gates. Gates Have to be Revealed! As soon as Jacob awoke from his dream, astonished by the presence of God that was there, his comment was, I did not know it. What he meant was that he had spent time in that place previous to going to sleep, and had it not been for the dream that revealed to him the significance of that place, in the natural, he would have never known that a spiritual portal existed right there in his encampment. So that the first thing we learn from Jacob’s experience is that spiritual portals have to be revealed to us. We can be standing right next to one, and in the natural we would not have a clue that it is even there. Gates are to be Respected! Now the next paragraph in the story tells us why perhaps these gates are hidden out of our natural sight, He was afraid. In nature there are places that are common and places that are special. Places of special significance are set apart because of their beauty or maybe, their historical value, or something that makes them special. So that out of respect, these certain areas are protected from common use. It is the same in the spiritual realm, wherever there is a spiritual portal, God attaches a special significance to that place, so that to those that are made aware of their existence, an awesome sense of fear and respect for that place arises within them instantly. Gates are Awesome Places! Jacob knew immediately after waking up that this place was no ordinary place, in astonishment he uttered this words, how awesome is this place. What made this place awesome to Jacob was that he found God’s presence there. We find this to be truth, that wherever there is a spiritual portal, the presence of God will be there in Spirit form. Gates are Openings into the Spiritual Realm! The physical and spiritual realm, though intertwined, are separated by walls that do not allow much interaction between the two, it is only through gate of heaven passages that such interaction is allowed to take place. Gates are to be Anointed! These gates of heavenly passages are special, not only for their importance, rarity, awesomeness, as well as for the access that they afford us to the Spirit of God, but also for the anointing that flows from them; because through these open gates God’s anointing flows. Jacob poured oil on top of it to signify that fact, for it was well known to our forefathers that it is the anointing that breaks the yoke. Gates Have Names that Designate their Assignment! As Jacob poured oil upon the rock that had been his pillow while having the dream, he called that place Bethel which means house of God, to designate that this was a gate that lead to God’s dwelling place, since he had witnessed God’s holy angels ascending and descending to the very throne of God. Gates are a Place of Spiritual Enlightenment! God’s anointing equates to God’s enlightenment, so that when an open gate is revealed, if those to whom the portal is revealed follow the proper protocol; I mean, they respect it, their in awe of their significance, they realized that a door has been opened for them to access the spiritual realm, they anoint it or make it special in their hearts. Then, their understanding will be opened to the nature (name) of that opening and they will be able to appropriate its functions. But the name of that city had been Luz previously. Although Jacob called that place Bethel or the house of God, due to his personal experience there, that place had being previously named Luz which means light or enlightenment. So that gates may go by different names to those who have their own experience, yet the function of the gate will certainly be the same. Acts 17:26-28 “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being...” Gates are all Over the Earth! Wherever men have settled on all the face of the earth, God has placed gates, and has determined their pre-appointed times, and according to His wisdom, He has set up the boundaries of their dwellings for the purpose of enticing men to seek the Lord, to seek His anointing, to seek His enlightenment, to grope for Him (if they have to, like a blind person would) and find Him, although He is never far from us. What Happens if we Find a Gate? Isaiah 28:6 “For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.” God’s enlightenment will always lead us to make the right decisions. In other words, the spirit of justice allows us to make the right judgments. The anointing on the other hand, enables us with the strength needed to turn back the spiritual battle at the source, before it gets near to us. Isaiah 29:21 “Those who with a word make a man out to be guilty, who ensnare the defender in court (the gate) and with false testimony deprive the innocent of justice.” Where is it that Satan makes his accusations against us? Is it not before the heavenly court, which is just another name for gate or portal? Do we not have access to the same heavenly court with our very own advocate by our side, even Jesus? So here is a revelation, we just found an open gate, and is the name of Jesus that grants us access to God’s heavenly court, where we can silence our accusing enemy with the blood of Jesus and by the word of our testimony. Amos 7:13 “But never again prophesy at Bethel, for it is the king's sanctuary, and it is the royal residence.” Centuries later, at Bethel, a wicked king tried to silence one of God’s prophets from accessing the gate at the house of God. Read the response of the holy prophet. Amos 7:12-17 “Then Amaziah said to Amos: ‘Go, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah. There eat bread, and there prophesy. But never again prophesy at Bethel, For it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is the royal residence.’ Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah: ‘I was no prophet, nor was I a son of a prophet, but I was a sheep-breeder and a tender of sycamore fruit. Then the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said to me,’ ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’ Now therefore, hear the word of the LORD: you say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not spout against the house of Isaac.’ Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘Your wife shall be a harlot in the city; your sons and daughters shall fall by the sword; your land shall be divided by survey line; you shall die in a defiled land; and Israel shall surely be led away captive from his own land.’” Is that the way to talk to a priest or what? Amos, being a true prophet of the Living God, was under the anointing and enlightenment of God, as such, he understood the severity of the charges against him, by no less than the priest of Bethel, the very man who sat at the spiritual gate of the city, who was trying hard to silence him. The priest of Bethel was in violation of God’s Word according to Isaiah: those who with a word make a man out to be guilty. So that Amos rebuke and judgment against priest Amaziah was swift and harsh. I guess we can say that he nipped it on the bud, before it left the gate. Is it not what this lesson is all about? To silence the enemy and the avenger at the gate? 1 Corinthians 2:14-15 “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual (battles at the gate) judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.” Glory to God, in Jesus mighty name we thank you Lord for awesome is Your name, and awesome is Your presence at the gate.
