    Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY SPIRITUAL JOY Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Spiritual joy comes as the direct result of spiritual life, you cannot separate them, where there is no spiritual life there is no spiritual joy. We maybe very happy due to our position in life, but our position in life is not the source for spiritual joy, for if our position in life changes for the worse, then our reason for happiness is removed. Not so with spiritual joy, once you have it you can never lose it. For our joy is based on the gift of eternal life, and God’s gifts are irrevocable. ​ Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” In the day of Pentecost Peter began to preach to the multitudes who had gathered around the disciples after a tornado, a rushing mighty wind, had settled over and filled the house where they were praying. Peter told the crowd that they were witnessing that which the prophet Joel had prophesied about as being the mission statement of the newly born church of our Lord Jesus Christ; and this is what Peter told them: Acts 2:22-25 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed (destroy or abolished) the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.” Peter gets right to the point and tells the multitudes that the Jesus that they’ve crucified and killed, is the very One whom God had appointed to destroy the pains of death itself, for Peter tells them that it is impossible for death to keep hold of the Author and Sustainer of Life. Then the very next Scripture that he quotes to them is from Psalm 16, our opening text; Peter tells them that when David wrote Psalm 16 he was not speaking about himself, but about Israel’s future Messiah, and plainly tells them that the fulfillment of David’s prophecy has been accomplished by the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth from the dead. Acts 2:27 “For You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” Psalm 16:10 “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” The point that Peter is trying to make to them is that death has been conquered by Jesus going to the cross, and that the path or way for eternal life had been made known to man, and that is the very reason why we have joy. Acts 2:28 “You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.” Psalm 118:14-15 “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord (Jesus) does valiantly.” Psalm 118 is the center chapter of the Bible; it is preceded by the shortest chapter in the Bible and it is followed by the longest chapter in the Bible, I guess that we can call it the long and the short of it. The center verses of chapter 118 and of the Bible itself, speaks of how the Lord has become our salvation and how that is our reason for rejoicing. Although I called it Spiritual Joy it is very much physically present within all true believers. The reason why I called it spiritual is because this joy is independent of whatever our physical situation might be. I also stated the this joy is a gift from God and that His gifts are irrevocable. Let me enumerate a few reasons as to why we should all be rejoicing in this joy that emanates from our born again spirit and permeates every fiber of our souls. Psalm 118:1 “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” He is good! We know that, for He saved us from all our sins, but let us remember also that His mercy towards us is everlasting. In the letter to the Hebrews we are told that by two immutable things God established His covenant with us: Number one is that the God who cannot lie swore on an oath, number two, that He would not change His mind. This is very important, for from our human perspective we make commitments that are based on our present circumstances, and when those circumstances change, we sometimes find it reasonable to change our minds about our original commitment. We are tempted within our human nature to believe that God changes His mind about our salvation when the circumstances warrant it, but that way of thinking is not within God’s nature, and He wanted us to know that. Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie…” Hebrews 7:21 “But He (Jesus) became a priest with an oath when God said to Him: ‘The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: You are a priest forever.’” NIV So that our salvation is not dependent on our present or future situations, but rather in the immutability of the oath of the God who does not lie and who swore that He would not change His mind about our salvation that was entrusted to the Priesthood of Jesus. Now that is the headspring of the living waters of the well of salvation and the reason for our unshakable joy. Psalm 118:5-6 “I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” So, what happens if in our daily walk we fall, falter, or fail? They that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, delivered into a broad place! What if I come under demonic attack? The Lord is on my side and will always be on my side. He promised and said that He would not change His mind, so therefore we have no fear, there is nothing that man can do to us in regards to our salvation. Now there is another reason for joy. Psalm 118:7 “The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.” The Lord is our vindication and our source of joy, for we know that while in this world we will have tribulations that are brought about by our enemies. But God is our present help in time of need and we know that He can be fully trusted. Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” What greater joy can a person have than being able to say with such great confidence, I am not going to die, I am going to live, and I will testify about God’s faithfulness. And here is the main reason why we can rejoice! Psalm 118:18 “The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death.” It is true that the Lord is our Father and as such He will chasten us, for we are not illegitimate children, BUT HE WILL NEVER DISOWN US! It is no wonder that there is so much praise and joy as the Psalm comes to a close: Psalm 118:28-29 “You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” How can we not love a God that loves us so much?     Top of Page END TIMES TEACHING JERUSALEM THE CITY OF TRUTH Zechariah 8:3 “Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” There are things that men and nations do that are in direct violation of the Word of the Lord, but as with everything else that the Lord does, He is longsuffering toward the nations and peoples that sin against His Word. He lets their own sinful ways catch up with them so that they all eventually end up in the misery because of their disobedience and rebellion against His Word. ​ But when the actions of the nations and of the peoples interfere with the plans that the Lord has, and there are no nations here on earth left to make a way for the plans of the Lord to come to fruition, then the Lord intervenes directly, for as it is written: Isaiah 46:10 “...My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” In our opening text God makes a threefold declaration about what His plans are for Israel, and for Jerusalem in particular during the end of the age, for these are the days in which we are living right now. Jesus prophesied that Jerusalem and the temple would be destroyed and that the Jews would be scattered and persecuted throughout the world. It happened just as Jesus prophesied, the temple that took almost forty years to build and that was expected, at the time that it was built, to last for centuries, was gone in a fraction of the time that it took to be built. Matthew 24:2 “And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down’” This specific prophecy would have been extremely difficult for any reasonable person to believe back then. The temple of Jesus’ day took forty years to build, and it cost a great amount of treasure, it took a great deal of labor to build it, and on top of that it was built with the blessings of the Roman empire, whose reign lasted for centuries. But the generation that heard that prophecy lived to see its fulfillment. ​ It was also prophesied that the nation of Israel would be restored once again at the end of days. No other nation in the history of the world that disappeared from being a nation for nineteen hundred years ever became a nation again, but Israel did, with the same language, the same traditions, on the same land, and with the same capital that they had when they ceased to be a nation. That’s because God’s counsel will stand! ​ Matthew 18:20 NKJV For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. In the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established. It is interesting that in our opening text God makes a threefold prophecy concerning the nation of Israel and the Jerusalem of our present day. This is what Jesus says about the present-day nation of Israel and its capital, the city of Jerusalem: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Do you see any ambiguity in that statement? The Word that prophesied the destruction of the nation of Israel, is the same Word that prophesied its restoration, and is the same Word that says that He is returning to Zion, and that He is going to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Let’s face it, Jerusalem is not going anywhere any time soon, and anybody or any nation that works against Israel or Jerusalem to keep them from becoming what the Word of God says it will become in these end times, is going to be broken by the Almighty God who watches over His Word to fulfill it. Zechariah 12:3 “And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” Our present-day Iran is hell bent in the destruction of the nation of Israel, and like Hitler, Iran’s final solution for the Jewish people is to eradicate them from the face of the earth. To this end, they are heavily invested in building enough nuclear weapons so that they can bring their demonic desires about, the destruction of the nation of Israel. A group of leaders representing a majority of nations, under the leadership of the president of the United States, just gave Iran a clear path to their goal of having the right to make the elements required for building the bombs that they will need to carry out their destruction. Iran knows that if they attack Israel with nuclear weapons that they themselves will be destroyed as well, but what their religion teaches them is that if they destroy the Jewish people, their messiah will come and deliver them from Israel’s wrath. Remember that these are the people that believe that suicide against the Jews is a way to attain immortality. But this is what the Word of God says is happening to the nations that are conspiring to bring about the destruction of the nation of Israel. Zechariah 12:4 “In that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.” What was the second thing that our opening Scripture declared that God would do in these end times? Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth. Truth is reality. These nations and their leaders that are so blinded by their prejudices against the Jews and Jerusalem are soon going to find out the cold hard truth: That God is real, that Jesus, His Word, is coming soon to establish His rule here on the earth, and that God’s will shall stand no matter what the nations do. Psalm 2:1-12 “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” The root of the hatred against Israel is the fact that the nations of this world do not want to have to answer to the Word of God for their actions. For them rejection of Israel is an open rebuke and rejection against God that is why they say, let us break Their bonds in pieces. The Lord shall hold them in derision. Once the nations of the world cross the line, where they reject Israel for the sake of rejecting God, that God strikes them with confusion and madness. The question that we need to ask ourselves right now is, Did the nations gathered in Geneva crossed that line with the treaty that they just made? Here is a Scripture that may apply to what just happened over there: Zechariah 8:7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.’” Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. Notice the word yet, that means that in spite of what the nations of the east and the nations of the west did, God’s counsel, His Word will stand. And what is that Word? I will give You the nations for Your inheritance. Whether they like it or not, the earth is the Lord’s as well as everything in it, that includes the nations and all of the peoples of the earth, and this is the advice that the Lord gives to the leaders of these nations: Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. The third thing that the Lord revealed in our opening Scripture was: The Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne, the kings and the judges of this world system do not rule supreme, all their despicable acts and rules with which they have corrupted the world with will have to be accounted for. Let us pray that our nation will be one of the ones that will repent before the Lord, for the sake of us all. Zechariah 8:22-23 “Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’” Can you believe that! It will happen, after all our God is a God of miracles, all we need to do is to continue to pray for our nation and for the peoples of the nations, for it is only through prayer and intercession that we know our Lord will hear us and move to bless us in the midst of all this chaos.     Top of Page Top of Page EMPOWERING PRAYERS PRAY FOR THOSE THAT REBEL, REBUKE, CHOOSE EVIL ON PURPOSE, STEAL, KILL, DESTROY, and/or BLASPHEMY THE HOLY SPIRIT Written by Minister Lisa Kane 12.31.23 SAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD: ​ Mighty Heavenly Father, ​ I lift up those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit to Your throne room and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as them well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit, the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” ​ I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” ​ And Heavenly Father, I bless those that rebel, rebuke, choose evil on purpose, steal, kill, destroy, and/or blasphemy the holy spirit with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” This gives them another opportunity to repent. ​ I atone on their behalf by saying the following: I stand in their shoes and lift their hands and my hands to the Heavenly Father saying, Lord, forgive us our sins, come into our hearts, and be our Lord and Savior as Romans 10:9 KJV says “9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” For I choose to believe on behalf of my family, in-laws, and up to my fourth cousins in the Name of Jesus, the Son of the Living God. ​ And for those that continue to blasphemy the Holy Spirit per Matthew 12:31-32 KJV “31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come” then let them not be forgiven. Bind them with cords so tight, they cannot breathe, and place them in their sickbeds until they choose to repent. Remove their foundation of whatever support they lean on. Remove whatever finances they depend on and expose their beliefs of lies and frauds to them in hopes they would see and hear to believe. But do not let evil propagate or be fruitful for the gates of hell will not prevail. Matthew 16:18 KJV “18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” ​ And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. ​ We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” ​ In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen! You can read the book for free here . INTRODUCTION Colossians 1:15-18 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” The concept of “the firstborn” when applied to Jesus can be kind of troublesome in the minds of some believers and perhaps many, especially as we consider the fact that Jesus is God Eternal who has always been and shall forever be. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not.” KJV “The firstborn over all creation” Just what do the Scriptures mean when they refer to Jesus as being the firstborn over all creation? We can make the argument as I do in my book “Man’s Final Destiny” that “The Word of God” is the second person of the Godhead (John 1:1), and that through Him “The Word of God” all things were created, since God Spoke everything into existence by saying “Let there be…!” And that The Eternal Word did not become flesh until He entered into the body that was prepared for Him some two thousand years ago, namely Jesus: (John 1:14), the physical body, into whom The Word entered and became flesh. “He is before all things” However, Paul appears to be making this statement directly about Jesus the Word incarnate, since in verse 13 of the same chapter he writes: “…Conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” And in others Scriptures as well, some quoted in the letter to the Hebrews, it seems to be making the same point of a beginning or starting point for the Son. Hebrews 1:5-6 “For to which of the angels did He ever say: ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You’? And again: ‘I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son’? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him.’” “The beginning, the firstborn from the dead” Meanwhile this phrase seems to imply that its beginning should be applied only to the time immediately after the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Obviously there is more to these Scriptures that meets the eye. Was there a transformative event that took place with the works of creation that God somehow used to represent Himself into a form or manner into the likes of which He had never revealed Himself? In other words, did the God that does not change, transformed Himself into something new, something that had never existed before? In this writing I intend to shed light on the mysteries hidden within the history of creation as presented in the Bible. Hopefully to expound on the premises on which God has founded His works: like… Did the God that never changes really transform Himself into something new?     Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS CHRIST IN YOU, THE MYSTERY. Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” In our previous lesson, Visible and Invisible, I commented that the number one rule in understanding how the physical and invisible creation interacts was The Word, for it is written: Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” ​ So that not only do all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in God’s Word, but they also abide in The Word that became flesh! ​ Colossians 2:9 “For in Him (The Word that became flesh: Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” So that according to our opening text, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord have residing within us already all these treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:10 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” But notice carefully how Paul describes it in our opening text, Christ in you the hope of glory. What that basically means is that a great gift has been given to all of us who believe, and that within all of us who believe in Christ, resides the potential to access those hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now from the scientific point of view what that means is that we, those of us who believe in Christ, have been given the power by faith in the name of Jesus to manipulate the basic elements that comprise all matter. So that when Paul writes to us that in Christ we have the hope of glory, what he means is that in Christ we have the grounds to expect the manifestation of that which is invisible to us, or another way of saying it, that which seems impossible to us in the natural. So that true faith is based on the real evidence of something that already exists in the invisible or spiritual realm called heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Scripture tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, Christ in us gives us the hope of accessing that healing that God has already released and loosed in heaven, to come to reality here in our physical confine if we can by faith release it here on the earth where it is needed. Why do these healings do not take place all the time? Why don’t they become a reality as they should on behalf of those of us who believe? Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Notice the phrase according to the basic principles. A basic principle is a foundational law that governs a realm. There are laws or principles that govern the physical realm, and there are laws or principles that govern the spiritual realm. In the physical or visible realm, the basic law that permeates everything is entropy, because in our physical world everything eventually dies, for all that is visible is passing away. In the spiritual invisible realm however the basic law that permeates everything is the law of life, which is the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die (entropy), even so in Christ all shall be made alive (deliverance from entropy, that is our blessed hope).” Those who operate according to the basic principles of the world cannot produce life, so that the healing that is needed does not come to pass on their behalf. However those who operate according to the basic principles of Christ, receive the healing needed to continue with a good and abundant life, for they are following the proper protocol. Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (the invisible spiritual realm), not on things on the earth (the visible physical realm).” Let us ask these two simple questions and then a third: where does sickness come from? And where do healings come from? Sickness comes from the past and healings come from the future age that is to come! Now let me ask one more question, where does the past and the future come together? The answer to the third question is in Christ, for He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He has borne our sicknesses and diseases, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities which is where all sicknesses came from, that answers the first question. Now here is the answer to the second question. Hebrews 6:5 “And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” Every healing that Jesus performed He brought from the future age that is to come; for it is written in Scripture that in the future every knee will bow and that every tongue will confess, that every eye will see Him, and that in Christ all shall be made alive. Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Now we understand from science that in the invisible world of sub-atomic particles which form all the things which are visible, that these sub-atomic particles exist in two different places at the same time, that is they transcend time and space. So that if our sicknesses are caused by past sins and iniquities that oppress us in the present, we can summon through the Word of God, the powers of the age to come and remedy whatever situation we face, if we dare to believe that with God nothing is impossible. Matthew 17:20 “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Now let us think about a literal mountain, if Jesus spoke to a high mountain and told it to move from here to someplace else, what would be the mechanics involved? Well we have an answer from nature! Every minute tons of water evaporate from the world’s oceans, move themselves away from there and travel to far away places where they come down as rain or snow, literally tons and tons of them fall back down to earth every minute somewhere in the world. What are the mountains made of? Sub-atomic particles that are held together by an invisible force, and in the same way that the sub-atomic particles that forms the waters that are in the oceans and are disbanded and made to fly away and then to come together again someplace else, the Word of the Lord has the same power to influence the dirt that forms the mountains or anything else, even the living things. Psalm 97:5 “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” What I am trying to do here is to encourage your hope in the Word of God, for the Word of God is a lot more real than anything that exists within our physical realm. The entire world system is designed to get people away from trusting in the hope of glory that we have in Christ, but if you are in Christ do not be cheated out of your inheritance in the light by going back into trusting in the basic principles of this world. Colossians 2:20 “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (things that perish with the using and which are not eternal like the promises of God are).” Back to Other Teachings

    Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS BLESS THOSE WHO DESIRE TO FEAR YOUR NAME Nehemiah 1:11 “O Lord, I pray, please let your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.” If the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and it is, then a desire to fear His name it should bring to us the knowledge of how to walk in the blessings of God. First let us understand that the fear of the Lord is the reverence that it is due to His name. ​ Unfortunately most Christians have a casual understanding of what true reverence is; now it is true that a father who is in a position of great authority wouldn’t get too upset if his child venture into his office while he is conducting important business, but he would make sure that such a distraction did not happen too often, for that would show him to be incompetent. So that the casual child like attitude that many Christians show towards God, though at times it may not be treated as irreverence by our heavenly Father due to our child like behavior, it is something that definitely keeps us from entering into His office where the business of blessings is taking place. For in His presence, while in fulfillment of His ministry, the protocol of His office demands maturity and self-control. For I was the king’s cupbearer. Nehemiah was a servant to the king. In those days the king had unquestionable authority over the lives of those whom he ruled; Nehemiah was a slave from a conquered nation who had gained the confidence of the king to be one of his many servants that attended to the king’s daily needs. Two things that you did not want to be in those days: one who delivered bad news to the king, or a personal servant to the king who failed to satisfy the king’s request, either one of those could get you killed. The point that I am trying to make is that Nehemiah understood what proper reverence was all about, after all his life depended on it in a daily basis, his actions and behavior towards God are recorded for the benefit of those of us who have a desire to learn how to come before God and into His holy presence in true reverence. Nehemiah 1:7 “We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses.” A true sign of maturity is when a person understands the difference between the power of holiness and the weakness of sin. The reason why the basic meaning for the word reverence is the word fear, is because fear of not gaining or fear of losing our well being is what is at stake in our relationship with a holy God. After all He is holy and we are not, and without His grace, mercy, and compassion we are at a loss. A heart that deep within itself says, I am not worthy to be anywhere near the holy presence of God, will immediately acknowledge that fact if allowed into the presence of God. There cannot be any level of self righteousness within ourselves in the presence of a holy God. Nehemiah said, we violated the commandments, the statutes, the ordinances, we deserve everything bad that has happened to us, so that there is an inherited fear, respect, and reverence while in His presence that says, we are totally dependent upon Your mercy Lord. Nehemiah 1:8-9 “Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If your are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations; but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling place for My name’” Nehemiah acknowledges that everything bad that has happened to them is in accordance with what God had promised, so that he is in agreement with the Word of God; but then he pivots and reminds God that along with the judgment God also had promised restoration, that is why he starts his prayer on the basis of God’s promised mercy to those who would acknowledge their sins before God in repentance. Nehemiah 1:5-6 “And I said: ‘I pray, Lord God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You and observe Your commandments, please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my fathers house and I have sinned.’” What prompted Nehemiah to pray was the bad news that he received from some travelers that came from Judah and Jerusalem. He was told that God’s people were in great distress and reproach, and that the walls of Jerusalem were also broken and the gates were burned with fire. Look at the humble heart of this man of God as he confesses before God the sins of the children of Israel and adds, both my fathers house and I myself have sinned and are responsible for this catastrophe that has befallen God’s servants, the children of Israel. In our opening text Nehemiah asks for prosperity: And let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man, but he is not asking for personal prosperity but rather he desires to be prosperous in the commodity of mercy. What Nehemiah is referring to is that after hearing all this bad news he is going to have to go and do his duty of serving the king,;a bad attitude is not going to serve him well in front of a king that does not like bad news. So he asks the Lord of Mercy for mercy when he goes before the king, knowing that he is not going to be able to be the usual cheerful servant that the king is used to. Nehemiah 2:1-2 “...I took the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had never been sad in his presence before. Therefore the king said to me, ‘Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart.’ So I became dreadfully afraid.” Obviously , the king kept a wide eye upon all his servants and immediately recognized that something was wrong with Nehemiah, not that he was so much concerned about his personal problems as much as he was probably suspicious of those around him when they were not behaving normally, that is probably why Nehemiah became dreadfully afraid. He could have been accused of plotting anything against the king and executed right on the spot, but he had prayed to the God of Mercy for mercy. Nehemiah 2:3 “And said to the king, ‘May the king live forever! Why should my face not be sad, when the city, the place of my father’s tombs, lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire?’” I am pretty sure that the king kept track of all that was going on under his palace and knew that Nehemiah had received foreign visitors, and knew of the bad news that they brought to Nehemiah, so that once he heard Nehemiah’s explanation his suspicion abated. Nehemiah 2:4-5 “Then the king said to me, ‘What do you request?’ So I prayed to the God of heaven. And I said to the king, ‘If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my father’s tombs, that I may rebuild it.’” What an amazing story, Nehemiah goes from a situation of been in dreadful fear for his life, to asking for the deliverance of an entire nation in the course of one verse; one can only learn that, from being in the presence of the God of Mercy, for those who truly fear the Lord are also made aware of His great power to impart the blessings of mercy. Notice how Nehemiah says that before he answered the king he prayed to the God of heaven, he probably said to himself, What should I ask for Lord? The answer was what he truly desired in his heart and what he had been praying for: Restitution, for that is what mercy does! In those days when a king asked one of his subjects for a request it was a big deal, for a king could truly make somebody extremely prosperous, but Nehemiah had not being praying for personal prosperity, he had been praying for mercy and restoration for his people. Imagine the surprise that the king had when the request that Nehemiah made was not a request for personal gain, but made on behalf of a vanquished nation. We are told that the queen was sitting next to the king when the request was made, almost like the king looked at the queen and then asked Nehemiah, how long are you going to be gone? If there is one thing that a king understands is the level of devotion that the subjects to his kingdom demonstrate, now he understood what it was that made Nehemiah such a faithful servant to his kingdom. Nehemiah truly valued the security that a well run government offered its citizens. That is why we are commanded to pray for those in authority, for if we understand how the physical authorities function, and how they are suppose to function, and have a healthy respect for the process of governing even under an imperfect human government, then we can live and minister in the house of God, the church, in awed, holy fear and respect for a perfect Sovereign God who governs justly. Nehemiah 13:30-31 “Thus I cleansed them of everything pagan. I also assigned duties to the priests and the Levites, each to his service, and to bringing the wood of offering and the firstfruits at appointed times. Remember me, O my God, for good!” If a government is going to run properly it must rid itself of bias and corruption, a corrupt government will drown itself in its corruption. Nehemiah understood how the principle of corruption could bring down the human government, and he learned that in order for the house of God to be governed well, it also had to be rid of the bias and corruption that paganism brings into the house of God, for that is what eventually leads the contaminated worshipers into bondage. Paganism is to the church what corruption is to the government. And I venture to say that if a nation that was founded on Judeo Christian values, is now under a corrupt government, it is as a direct result of the paganism that contaminates the churches that exist within that nation that are supposed to promote biblical values instead of the human paganism that fosters and tolerates corruption. Think of that, the condition of the church is reflected by the condition of the government that rules over the nation where those churches minister. Makes you wonder, doesn’t? If we want to rid our governments of corruption, then we need to rid ourselves of paganism! It could be just as simple as that. Back to Other Teachings

    Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS A PRAYER FOR AMERICA For many prophecy watchers the role that the American nation plays during the days of the end of the Church Age is not clear, due to the fact that the American nation does not seem to play a significant prophetic role during the events that lead to the return of Christ. Some believe that America’s status as a major world power will be so greatly diminished by the time that Jesus returns to set up the Kingdom Age, that it is not worth mentioning in the prophetic scenario. ​ I take a different view, there are three different entities or dispensations that are clearly marked for closure before the Lord physically lands on the earth to set up His one thousand year reign called The Kingdom Age. These three entities are: The Church represented today (remember that I am dealing here with nations not individuals) mainly by the western nations that have as their foundation Judeo-Christian principles and/or values, The Law represented by the nation of Israel, and what the Bible prophetically calls The Kingdoms of this World whose representation today comes from the United Nations. The 20th century witnessed a rise of anti-Semitism in many western cultures along with the rejection of the Judeo-Christian values they had inherited. A vacuum occurred that led many in those western cultures to turn to eastern philosophies and isms, but eventually it was secular humanism and its embracing of anything and everything but God that prevailed. In today’s culture if you are a firm believer of biblical principles and moral traditions you are regarded as a right-wing nut. Prophetically speaking the turning of the western European nations back to their pagan roots is part of God’s prophetic plan, for it is out of these western European nations that the revived Roman empire rises out of and eventually give all of their power to the head of the United Nations at that time who will be the anti-Christ. But I do not believe that to be the case for our beloved America. For there are no pagan roots for America to turn back to. Acts 16:6-10 “Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia (to the east). When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow then to. So, they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia (west of them) standing and begging him, ‘come over to Macedonia and help us.’ After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” italics mine Here we see a clear effort by the Holy Spirit and by the Spirit of Jesus preventing Paul and his fellow workers from proclaiming the Gospel to the nations of the east. It is not that God did not want His Gospel to go to the nations of the east, for the Gospel of the kingdom was to be proclaimed to the whole world, but rather Paul’s anointing for this specific missionary trip was that of nation building, future nations, including those of the new world yet to be discovered. When Christopher Columbus and the Spanish conquistadores discovered a new land, they did so and offered it as a price to the nation that they represented, Spain, and the values that their nation embraced not limited to their Christian beliefs, but also including their pagan roots, these were introduced into the newly formed nations of the new world, not just by the Spaniards, but so did the many other nations that conquered land in the new world. However, the pilgrims that eventually became the thirteen colonies that would eventually formed today’s American nation, did not come to the new world to conquer on behalf of the nations they left behind, but rather as pilgrims looking for a new land that was not contaminated with the paganism that their Christian faith had succumbed to in the old world. It was the quest for freedom, religious freedom, that gave birth to the American nation, not a desire for subjugation. Though the roots of paganism were never far from the hearts of those who founded the new American nation, the intent was noble and prophetic in my humble opinion. For it was in God’s plan that at the end of time a nation of noble birth would assume the ministry of being the light bearer to the rest of the nations of the world of what the principles of true liberty and justice can be like, even in the midst of flawed humans whose simple desire is that of being free. In the 20th century America shined liberty, promoted prosperity, and proclaimed religious freedom gallantly to every nation of the world, so as to when God’s judgment begins against those who reject the Judeo-Christian values that America preached by her actions, they would be without excuse as to what true nobility was like. American blood stains battle fields in every habitable continent, American bodies have been buried in every ocean of the world after dying fighting for the freedom of others, every kitchen in the world is touched by American generosity, American missionaries have taught human dignity to the unlearned masses and American culture permeates all the tribes of the earth. Yet no nation that we have liberated fears us, for we are not into conquest, but we are for freedom, even the freedom of those who do not deserve it, that is the American way. It can truly be said that America, though not perfect, and Americans, flawed as well, have definitely fulfilled the role assigned to them by their God the Creator they proclaimed. So, what shall we said then of the fate that awaits as Americans? And what is the fate of our beloved nation at the end of time? Psalm 73:25-26 “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire beside you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” If you noticed, I never mentioned the United States when referring to America. Let me explain what I believe, know that my perspective is that of an immigrant. I was born in Cuba in 1947 under a constitutional government, by the time I was six years old we had a dictatorship, and by the time I was twelve I had lived through a revolutionary war. In 1965 at the tender age of eighteen I fled what was then and still is as of this writing a full fledge communist regime, I came across the ocean in a small boat to a tiny island in the Kay Sal bank named after the tiny island, I was picked up by a British war ship and delivered to a navy base in Port Everglades Florida, where I was welcome as a political refugee. I settle in Los Angeles in September 1965 right after the August riots of that summer and began to learn what America is really all about. America is a spiritual principle or let me say it another way, America is the soul of these United States. I was an American before I became a citizen of the Unites States. What is it that makes a nation if is not for its soul? What is the soul of America? To know what the soul of a nation is one must look at the principles upon which that nation was founded. Here is part of what the soul of America is: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” ​ Let me ask you this simple question, is a member of the KKK a real American? Is it not self-evident that if someone thinks himself to be better that another because of their race, that that person does not live up to the American definition that all men are created equal? He may have been born in the United States and is a duly citizen of the United States, but such a person is not an American! For to be a real American one must embrace the soul of America and become one with it. ​ Let me give you an example from these men I believe to be the two greatest Americans of the 20th century. Former president of the U.S. Ronald Reagan and Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. President Reagan united the nation in a way like no former president ever did since its founding. How did he do it? He knew and understood the soul of America and its founding principles, he knew the destiny of America, he clearly enunciated that America was to the world like a shinning city upon a hill, Americans could not help but to respond, for he was communicating with their soul. ​ Dr. King lived in a very different America, where persecution, fear and relentless discrimination ruled the day. He had a choice to make, was America a nation that needed to be fundamentally changed? Did America need another armed revolution? I believe Dr. King being a Pastor looked at the soul of America, after all that is what we pastors do, we look at the soul before deciding whether something or someone is redeemable. By looking into the soul of America he could easily see that the problem with America was not in is soul, we were just failing to live up to it. So his message was a simple one, he dreamed of the day when true Americans would live up to their founding creed. ​ And it was real Americans who responded to Dr. King’s cry for justice because he spoke directly to their American soul! ​ So, what is the future of these United States? Clearly as we stand today, we stand divided, we stand divided because great forces are at work to remove from our nation the Creator who guarantees us those unalienable rights and the great moral principles that held us together from our founding. ​ My flesh and my heart may fail: I take great comfort in the fact that even if our United States, the flesh of America, were to fail, America has not failed! It is my deeply held belief that America is a very special nation, that the souls of her soldiers who died so that other men may lived, are safely guarded in the hands of Jesus Christ. That the sacrificial prayers that are being offered continuously on behalf of this nation are heard by God who is faithful. What should then our prayer for America be? Early this morning I got up to pray and the Lord put America in my heart and said to me: “Pray for America!” I wrote all of this to tell you what my prayer was and what I think it is that God wants us to pray for concerning America. As you pray for America, pray for her spiritual enlightenment, we need to see beyond our physical circumstances. America does not have any physical problems that cannot be solved from the spiritual perspective, be it division, dysfunction, debt crises, suicides, mass shootings, abortions, immoralities, hate, hopelessness, whatever you can name that it is wrong we our nation today can be solved if we just simply understand that our problems stem from us not living up to our American potential that emanates from our Creator and brings to us peace. Let us not give up, do not think that is too late for America, for none of us knows the future, as long as there is breath in us let us thank God for America, let us ask God to forgive America, let us repent before God for the sins of America, let us forgive those who trespass against us and pray for their salvation and well-being. Let us pray His Word and will over America. Psalm 74:19-21 “Do not hand over the life of Your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives o f Your afflicted people forever. Have regard for Your covenant, because haunts of violence fill dark places of the land.
