  • THE FOUR PILLARS OF EVIL | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY THE FOUR PILLARS OF EVIL Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you before hand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” All the works of the flesh are driven by selfish ambitions, the goal of the fruit of the Spirit which emanates from God’s love for us, is to deliver us from our bondage to the selfish desires of our flesh, so that we can walk under the fruit of self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness (meekness), self-control. Against such there is no law.” If you have already accepted the forgiveness of sins that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross purchased for your salvation, then the Spirit of God is already within you, and you have been qualified to produce spiritual fruit, and you can be delivered from the strongholds in your life that are keeping you from walking under the fruit of self-control. Proverbs 11:9 “The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.” Once we accepted Jesus as our Savior, we became born again, born of the Spirit of the Living God, what that means is that we were made righteous before God, but now we need to seek the goal of our faith, 1 Peter 1:9 , which is to be delivered from the selfish ambitions/desires of our soul and learn how to walk after the Spirit of God by producing within us the fruit of self-control. Proverbs tells us that it is through knowledge that we are able to obtain deliverance once we have accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord. What kind of knowledge is there that we need to know in order to be delivered from our earthly desires that keep our souls bound? We need to know and understand how the spirit of Selfish Ambition and the spirit of Self-Control operate, and how they influence our behavior. In our opening text, where the works of the flesh were enumerated, we see that there were a total of seventeen works that were mentioned, one of them, which I highlighted, is selfish ambitions. In order for us to best understand how our flesh operates, I took the liberty to classify the works of the flesh by their function when I wrote about them in my book The Liberation of the Human Soul, which you can find in the book’s section of the houseoffatihministries.org. I classified four of the works of the flesh as perversion, for that is what they aim to accomplish. I classified another four of the works of the flesh as division, since that is what they aim to accomplish as well. Another four I found to be part of what I called false religion, for their aim is to bind us into legalism and away from true faith. And the last four I defined as malfunction, for that is the aim of all of the works of the flesh, to get humanity to falter to the point where it becomes worthless and useless to God. So that through the manipulation of our selfish desires and ambitions the devil tries to hinder the believers from implementing God’s will and purpose in the earth. That is why our opening text says that: those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” The kingdom of God is about producing spiritual fruit, and when we believe in a perversion of the truth, we open the door of our self or soul to the enemy to tempt us, who will then try to keep us from inheriting the kingdom of God by stifling our ability to produce spiritual fruit. PERVERSION 4 FALSE RELIGION SELFISH AMBITION DIVISION 4 1 4 MALFUNCTION 4 If you follow the chart above starting with perversion, you can see the progression of how the works of the flesh operate within us. The very first thing that the devil does is to try to pervert what we believe to be true by bringing the truth that we believe into question: did God really say? was the very first thing that the devil said that is recoded in the Bible. Once what we thought to be true comes into question, immediately we become inwardly divided, we do not like uncertainty so we look for a way out, what we naturally end up doing is trying to reestablish our sense of the truth through natural means instead of faith, that always leads to religious rituals; if we do certain things or pray in a different way, then what we believed to be truth will be realized once again, we think; but remember that reliance on religion is a false way to go about searching for the truth, for it is written that without faith it is impossible to please God. So that we end up malfunctioning until the issue is settled. John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Here is how it works; Let’s say that you are a young adult and have your mother and father in your life, but out of nowhere the thought comes into your mind that they are not your real parents, at first you think of that thought as nonsense, but then memories come to mind that give some credence to the idea that maybe you were indeed adopted. You see, it does not matter whether you were really adopted or not, once you entertained that possibility, immediately your heart became divided, the equation of your relationship with your parents is forever altered. The first question that usually pops up is, If they are not my real parents, then who are my real parents? And then other questions follow, like, Where are they? Are they alive or dead? Why did they give me up? So that without a scintilla of facts our lives can be turned upside down in an instant, that is how the power of perversion works, and it works with the same power and in the same manner against anything that we believe to be true. So how do we deal with all of these new feelings and emotions? We try to reason our way out of them; we might say, if they are not my real parents at least they cared enough to adopt me. But the thought that they lied to you, or at least concealed the truth from you will not let you rest. So that the next time that you go and visit with your parents you will feel like your innocence was violated by them by not telling you the truth, and is now affecting your relationship with them to the point that is malfunctioning, for what else is there that they have hidden from you? What if your aunt, your mother’s sister, whom you have not seen in years, comes to visit and while you are all there, she begins to reminisce and starts telling you about when her sister, your mom, first told her that she was pregnant with you, and you can see them reliving that excitement of what they were going to name you is you were a boy, and just keep on talking about all those minute details of her pregnancy. The truth would immediately engulf you in such a liberating manner that you would feel so foolish that you even thought to doubt the truth that you had embraced for all your life. I used that long illustration to reveal to you how the truth of the Word of God can make you free. Satan is called the accuser of the brethren, and we are told that he accuses us before God day and night. Jesus is our advocate in God’s presence who is continuously covering us with His shed blood before God day and night as well. It is told of the saints in heaven that they overcame all the devil’s accusations with the blood of the Lamb and with the words of their testimonies. Revelation 12:10-11 “Then I hear a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.’” What is the root of all the accusations that the devil is continuously hurling against us? Did God really say that He loves you? God speaks truth, the devil tries to cast doubts on our minds about God’s spoken truth, but ultimately, we decide what it is that we are going to believe. It is not until we embrace the truth that God loves us no matter what, and that He will never leave us nor forsake us no matter what, that we will be made free indeed, for whomever the Son makes free is free indeed. We can do better than just barely getting by in our walk of faith, we need not fear failure, and we need not embrace mediocrity of faith. I dare you to find somewhere in the Bible where it says that God does not love us, or that He does not care for us, so why entertain the lies of the devil any longer? Let us receive the truth today that we are accepted in the beloved, who gave His life as ransom for us, who is our shield and our deliverer. Pray according to our next Scripture. Psalm 86:11 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name.” The truth of the Word of God will unite your heart in such a manner that you will have no need of rituals or dead religions to rely upon, for the foundation of God’s truth is an unmovable foundation that will carry you out of whatever hell the devil throws your way. What is the word of your testimony today friend? Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE SANITATION OF CHRISTIANITY | HoFM

Top of Page END TIMES TEACHING THE SANITATION OF CHRISTIANITY 2 Chronicles 13:5 “Should you not know that the Lord God of Israel gave the dominion over Israel to David forever, to him and his sons, by a covenant of salt?” During Bible days in the Old Testament salt was a very valuable commodity, salt was required as part of most of the sacrifices that were offered to God in the Tabernacle. The symbolism was clear since salt was commonly used back then as an antidote to corruption. Before refrigeration one of the most effective ways to preserve meat, fish or poultry after they were killed, was by dressing then with salt and also saturating then in salt for preservation, hence the value of salt. By a covenant of salt: Second Chronicles makes the statement that when God committed Himself to give the dominion over Israel forever to David and his sons, that it was to be an irrevocable covenant, by making it a covenant of incorruptible salt. Now we know that Israel has never failed to have a descendant of David ruling over them, even to this day, for by David and his sons God meant that Jesus, a descendant from the line of David, would be the one that held the keys that represented God’s incorruptible dominion over Israel. Revelation 3:7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, these things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens.” Notice how Jesus uses the phrase the key of David to announce the rapture of the church; now when John wrote this Revelation, Jerusalem and the temple had already been destroyed. But you see Jesus is stating that as a descendant of David after the flesh, He has dominion over the nation of Israel to be their King forever in accordance with the incorruptible covenant of salt that God entered into with David. And not only that, but also as the head of the church, which is His body, He is both King and High Priest over it; and not only that, but also He is coming back to assume His dominion over all the nations of the world that belong to Him as the last Adam who restores everything to God that the first Adam lost. Colossians 1:18-20 “And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness (head of Israel, head of the church, head of the nations) should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things (the entire creation) to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Imagine how hopeless Satan felt when a mortal of divine origin, who could not be corrupted, assumed the position of King of kings and Lord of lords over all that He Jesus, the Word of God, had originally created, and before those gathered of the assembly, He uttered these astonishing words to all the creation: Hebrews 2:12-14 “…‘I will declare Your name to My brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.’ And again: ‘I will put My trust in Him.’ And again: ‘Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.’ Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through dead He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil.” Though utterly defeated, the devil knew that his time was not up yet, so as the old saying goes, if you cannot beat them join them. So that in order for him to continue with his malevolent work of corruption, he had to find a way to sanitize the preserving power that God had invested in all mankind when He instituted the covenant of salt. Mark 9:49-50 “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor (saltiness) how will you season it (make it salty again)? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.” Here Jesus is prophetically telling His church how the devil would try to neutralized their power to hinder corruption, by making their labor to be the workings of man instead of the ministry of God. When Paul told the church that everyone of their works would be tested by fire, every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt, he was just simply quoting Jesus. Leviticus 2:13 “And every offering of your grain offering you shall season with salt; you shall not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your grain offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.” So that our offering or service to God, and salt, the antidote to corruption, should always go hand in hand. The devil understood this from the beginning, and knowing that he could not stamped out true Christianity, though he tried, his next best thing was to try and remove the saltiness from those whose labor and ministry was their offering to God. How does a ministry or ministers lose their saltines? Revelation 2:14 “But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.” When Balak hired Balaam to curse the children of Israel, Balaam told him that he could not curse that which God had blessed. After several tries Balak got frustrated because every time Balaam tried to utter the curse words against Israel that Balak was telling him so say, a blessing came out from the mouth of Balaam instead. Not to forfeit the great prize that he, Balaam was offered, he devised a plan that later became a doctrine on how to sanitize, that is to render powerless the corruption preventing covering of the covenant of salt. This is what Balaam taught Moab that they should do to neutralize Israel’s covering and protection: Numbers 25:2-3 “They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel.” The doctrine of Balaam is simply to introduce a ministry or minister to eat of, or to intake, or to partake of demonic doctrines, things sacrificed or offered to idols, so that that ministry or ministers becomes one with Baal, which means lord, a substitute for our real Lord. Once that takes place that ministry looses its saltiness and pretty soon it becomes totally corrupted, unable to proclaim the truth it was ordained to promote. The new world order visionaries of today’s end of times, wish that Christianity and all its influence on humanity could be banished forever, but deep in their hearts they know the impossibility of their dream. They know that when Jesus said that He would built His church and that the gates of hell could not prevail against it, that He was not kidding. So instead they have settled for the contamination of as much of the church and its influence as they can, to nullified the churches power to interfere with their corrupting agenda. At the beginning of the 20th century their agenda started to take shape. One of the tools that they used was that of what they called equality, equality to them does not mean the same thing that it does to us. They demanded that along with creation other theories should be taught in schools, that seemed fair at first, but after they gained a foothold with the theory of evolution, they managed to banish not just the creation story from the curriculum, but the entire Bible from our schools, that is what their definition of equality is. By taking over the faculties of the colleges and universities that once were founded to proclaim the virtues of Christianity and to promote its teachings, such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all men who were willing to seek them. These colleges and universities have now become a corrupt incestuous cesspool of demonic doctrines, festering with nothing but hate for all that is good and decent and noble, hell bent on destroying all godliness in society. I just saw in the news one of such professors saying openly that when they demand equality for gay couples to marry, that that is not really what they are after, for what they are truly after, she said, is the abolition of the institution of marriage; she said, I hate marriage, so that by a very strong implication she is saying if we cannot abolish marriage, then let us denigrate it to the point where it really means nothing. They have also taken over the entertainment, games, and news producing industries in order to promote their anti-God agenda as an acceptable way of life, while at the same time portraying true Christianity falsely in order to turn innocent minds away from God’s saving grace for them. Now they are going as far as saying that our children do not really belong to us; Oh! When it comes to aborting, in that case, the mother has the inalienable right to end their lives at her choosing, but when it comes to Christians teaching their children our faith and way of life; Oh no in that case they belong to the state, and father and mother have no rights over them. I think we are in need of a new definition for idiocy, for clearly they surpass whatever the word idiot means right now. But sadly, all this corruption has its origin in the fact that we have allowed Christianity in our western civilization to be corrupted, we’ve lost our saltines and now we are paying the price for our compromise. Revelation 2:15 “Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.” Jesus tells the church at Pergamos of another doctrine that they’ve embraced that preceded the doctrine of Balaam, and which appears to be the culprit that allowed the doctrine of Balaam to infiltrate them. Nico means power and Laitans means laity, put together Nicolaitans means the power of the people. Democracy can be a great thing for a righteous people desirous of good laws to rule them but is a killer for the church. For once an elder of the church becomes subservient to the will of the people he ceases to be God’s servant and becomes nothing more than an ear tickler, promoting an agenda that aims to please the people rather than God. Have salt in yourselves: Remember what Jesus said in Mark 9:50? We may not have control over what goes on in our local churches, but we definitely have control into what we take in. You do not have to be part of any idolatrous pursuits that your church engages in to either please the crowds or to attract new comers by looking worldly. Remember that those who keep God’s Word, saltines, and do not deny the deity of Jesus, do not entertain Baal, will not have to go through the seasoning of fire that Jesus told us is coming to test all those who live in the world: Rev. 3:8/10 1 John 2:28 “And now, little children, abide in Him (have salt in yourselves, refute corruption), that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.” Amen! • THE END OF THE AGE | HoFM

Top of Page END TIMES TEACHING THE END OF THE AGE 1 Corinthians 10:11-12 “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” Two extremely important points are made by Paul in this portion of Scripture. One being that the church will witness the ends of the ages, notice that is in plural, and the second point is that this period of time will be a perilous time for the children of faith. Why is it that Paul calls it the end of the ages, since we know that the church age will end with the rapture. What other ages is he talking about? In my book Man’s Final Destiny I deal with this in great detail, but here is the basics of it: There are three dispensations that are running right now concurrently: the dispensation of Law represented by the nation of Israel, the dispensation of Human Government represented by the United Nations, and of course the dispensation of Grace represented by the true Church of Jesus Christ. It is worth noting here that right now God only recognizes the true Church of Jesus Christ as the legitimate power authorized by Him to rule over the affairs of men as recorded by Matthew. Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (the church age).” Amen. After Jesus commanded His disciples to preach the Gospel to the nations of the world, the disciples went out and eventually transformed the world. The doctrine that they preached that changed the nations of the world was known as Judeo Christian principles or values. In the middle of the twentieth century, we saw the rebirth of the nation of Israel and the reunification of the nations of the world in the entity we know today as the United Nations, therefore setting the stage for the fulfillment of our opening text on the last generation: Upon whom the ends of the ages have come. As we follow the chronology given to us in the book of Revelation we find that after the true church is removed in the rapture, that the Lord will set up the nation of Israel and the Law of Moses as the legitimate power here on earth to enforce His will upon the nations of the world. The Two Witnesses, two humans that come from outer space as far as the world’s perspective is concern will be empowered by God to enforce the rule of God’s Law over the nations of the world for 1,260 days. The world will reject them as they have rejected the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Then they will make war against the Two Witnesses, and after the days of their prophecy ends they will be killed by the antichrist which will then become the representative of the nations of the world. It will be upon the antichrist and all his followers that have taken his mark that God will bring His final judgment when He judges the kingdoms of this world, or what we know today as the United Nations. The antichrist will rule for 1,290 days before God begins His judgment against him. The judgment upon his governance will last for forty two days, so that he will rule for a total of 1,332 days. 1,290 + 42 = 1,332 / 2 = 666 After 1,332 days he is captured alive, along with the false prophet, and they are both thrown alive into the Lake of Fire, while the rest of humanity who have the mark of the beast will be killed. This will bring about the conclusion of the ages as Jesus returns to the earth and in three days sets up His one thousand years Day of Rest. Hosea 6:2 “After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.” Daniel 12:11-12 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away (the antichrist begins his rule), and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty five-days.” 1,290 + 42 = 1,332 + 3 = 1,335 days. Those who do not receive the mark of the beast and survive the antichrist’s ordeal will come out of their hiding places on the third day after the antichrist’s demise. This will be mainly the Jewish remnant that God protects in secret caves while the rule of the antichrist plays out, along with those that somehow survive the antichrist’s regime without taking the mark or being killed. So that understanding how everything is proceeding as it relates to prophecy is vital for us, so that we can be prepared and ready when His unveiling finally begins. But what about the other warning that Paul gave us in our opening text? Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall! 1 Corinthians 10:14 “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.” It seems odd at first that a warning against idolatry would be issued in relation with the return of our Lord to set up His kingdom. Matthew 24:5,11 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many...Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.” But as we read about Jesus warning us about false Christ’s and false prophets during the end of the ages we can understand why. Idolatry offers a false Christ and those who follow a false Christ will not be raptured, for they will not recognize the real Jesus when He is revealed. The world will present the return of Jesus as some malevolent alien coming to harm us. Therefore, those believers that fail to recognize the real Jesus will have to earn their salvation as martyr’s during the days of wrath. 1 Corinthians 10:19-20 “What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.” So that as the end of the ages comes upon us, since we now know that we are in the last generation, it is imperative for us to know whether the traditions that we are following have a solid biblical foundation or whether they originate from the traditions of men. In other words, will you recognize the real Jesus when He is revealed? Jesus warned us against not just false Christ’s but also against false prophets, that is people who proclaim to preach the real Jesus but in reality they are not, for Jesus told us that they will deceive many. Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.” One of the greatest lies that many well-meaning preachers follow today is that since the book of Revelation is difficult to understand and since there are many different interpretations, they rather not preach on it, for it will bring divisions within the church by offending others who do not agree with their particular interpretation. They rather not preach about it and deprive the rest of the congregation of their readiness to meet Jesus when He is finally revealed. Imagine what would happen if you would use that same criterion about any other subject matter in the Bible? Since you cannot not preach on anything that the Bible teaches without offending someone else! Matthew 24:10 “And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.” But Jesus warned us about that as well! Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” I was one of those who got frustrated because I could not understand the Book of Revelation. I knew that I was missing out of a big blessing and did not want to live my Christian life in ignorance of the most important prophesied event that could take place during my lifetime here on earth: the return of Christ. All it took was one simple humbled prayer and continuous persevering in reading and studying prophecy and God took care of the rest. Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” How much is it worth it to you to know about the times and the seasons so that you may be ready when Jesus appears? How much is it worth it to you to find out whether you are serving the real Jesus or whether you are following man-made traditions? As you read this, know that there are many Christians all around the world right now facing what to them are insurmountable circumstances. Many have lost their homes to religious persecution. Others have lost their churches to the same. Others are fleeing for their lives as we speak, and many are in dark dungeons and filthy prisons refusing to deny their Lord who saved them. There are no guarantees against us being next, for the passion of the workers of iniquity runs deep, and they will not rest until they silence us and destroy what we believe. So, we better make sure that what we believe does not rest on the fallacies of men, but let our faith rest on the solid foundation of the Word of God and His promises to us. For those who try to destroy the Word and what it promises are themselves destroyed by the fire of God’s jealousy to fulfill all that He promised! Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rocks in pieces?” Back to End Times Teachings

  • THE SECRET THINGS JUDGMENT | HoFM

Top of Page The Deliverance Ministry THE SECRET THINGS JUDGMENT Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.” In this lesson on deliverance we are going to deal with a very interesting subject, the judgment of works. Notice how king Solomon puts the emphasis on the secret things and how they relate to the Day of judgment. So that we are all on the same page, let me first outline the perimeter of what we are talking about in this lesson. 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things d one in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” Paul sheds a great amount of light into what king Solomon was teaching. For in the New Testament we learn that there are two judgments, the final or general judgment, and what Paul calls the judgment seat of Christ. If you die in Christ, and by that I mean that you are saved and when you die you go straight to heaven, as it is written: 2 Corinthians 5:8 “...To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” Then you must appear before the judgment seat of Christ, which is not a judgment of damnation but of rewards or the lack of them. When an unbeliever dies, he goes straight to Hades, which is a kind of an un-finalized hell, for the real hell is the burning lake of fire. Those who are in Hades will not be thrown into the lake of fire until after they face the final judgment, called the great white throne judgment. Which will not take place for at least another thousand years. Revelation 20:11-12 “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.” The judgment that we are dealing with in this lesson is the judgment of the believers, for that is to whom I am writing this lesson for. So that if you are a believer you need to know how these secret things that will be revealed at the judgment seat of Christ after we die, can be dealt with in the here and now before we die, but first we need to know what they are and how they affect us. If you are not a believer yet, you can become one right now by simply repenting of all your sins and confessing before Jesus that you are a sinner and that you want Him to forgive you of all your sins, and if you truly mean it with your heart, Jesus will forgive you immediately and this lesson will apply to you as well. Now, that was simple! Now that the perimeters are established let us deal with the judgment of the believers. Why is there a judgment seat of Christ for us who believe? 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 “...But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day (of the judgment seat of Christ) will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss (lack of reward); but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.” Paul lays it out very clearly, since our salvation is a gift from God, and since the gifts of God are irrevocable: Romans 11:29 , we cannot lose our salvation. However we have the privilege to minister to others the free salvation that our Lord offers to all who believe, and as fellow ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ we become partakers of the rewards of serving Jesus Christ. Romans 8:16-17 “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” From the time we got saved and for all the things we built our lives around on, we will have to give an account to God. If we live for our own selfish interests after we get saved, those things which we have accomplished will not survive the fire of the judgment Day anymore than wood, hay, or straw, can survive a raging fire storm. However, if we build our lives after we get saved around those things which are eternal, they, like gold, silver, and precious stones, will survive the fire of the Day of judgment and we will get a reward for them. How do I know which one of my deeds will survive the fire and which ones will not? Nothing that we do that flows out of our natural strength, our flesh, will ever survive the raging fire of the Day of judgment, as it is written: Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.” The only thing that will survive the fire of judgment is spiritual fruit, for the Spirit of the Lord is a consuming fire that will not consume Himself or His own fruit, as it was revealed to Moses at the burning bush. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law (no law means no judgment).” That is what Paul meant when he said that in his flesh nothing good dwelled, he implied that only that which proceeded from the Spirit of God that was in him, and that saved him, is what counted. Galatians 5:25 “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Now what about the secret things, what does it mean by secret things? The production of spiritual fruit in us and through us is hindered by those secret things in us that have not yet been exposed to the light of God’s judgment. What are these secret things? They are strongholds within our souls that are yet to be broken down by the Spirit of God, we may be aware of them or we may not, but until they are removed from us, those areas of our lives to which they are connected will not produce sufficient spiritual fruit, because of their hindrance. How can we know if there is a spiritual stronghold within us? Probably one of the easiest ways to know if there is a secret or hidden thing in our souls that is keeping us from producing spiritual fruit is to see which spiritual fruit in us its hindering. For example, let’s start with the first spiritual fruit, the fruit of love, and by asking these questions we will know if we have a stronghold that hinders the way that we are supposed to love: Is my love towards God hindered in any way? Do I love and accept myself the way that God does? Do I love others with the same intensity that I love my self? You’ll be surprised to know how many people have difficulties relating to God from a love perspective. And if we can truly love God, then how can we truly love ourselves, and if we have trouble loving and accepting ourselves, how can we be expected to love others and accept them as they are, for that is how God accepts us, as we are. If my ability to fully and completely love God, my self, and others is blocked, how do I remedy it? John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” The Word of God reveals the intensity with which God loves us, as well as the perfection and steadfastness of His love for us. If you do not know God’s love for you is it because you do not know His Word. Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not My word like a fire? Says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” The Word of God is not only the hammer that breaks down the hidden strongholds within us, but is also the fire of judgment that cleanses and purifies us while in the here and now. If you have difficulties loving yourself or others, study the love of God revealed to us in His Word, accept it personally, and let it burn away deep within your soul the stains that soiled your soul when the love of others let you down. As it is written: Hebrews 13:5 “...For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” Hebrews 12:29 “For our God is a consuming fire.” Jeremiah 31:3 “The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” We can do the same with the rest of the fruit of the Spirit, if you lack joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, read how in the Word of God they all have been made available to us freely, but you have to swing the hammer and light the fire. We need to understand that before we enter into the joy of our Lord all these hindrances are going to be demolish at the judgment seat of Christ. But we do not need to wait until then, we can do it now, so that we are able to serve our King and Savior without hesitation or limitations. Yes, there will be a reward, but it's not the reward that really motivates me, I can just picture the joy in my Lord’s face when in a selfless act one of my actions causes one of His lost children to return home to Him. Oh, what a privilege it is to serve the One who loves me so much! Hate, fear, doubt, unbelief, are all the result of us not understanding the fullness of God’s love for us, why don’t you start there, in God’s love, take whatever hate remains in your soul and break it to pieces with the hammer of God’s Word, then set it on fire and let the wind of the Spirit of God remove it from you as far as the east is from the west. James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. The cure for double-mindedness is the surety of the promises that are found in the Word of God. Remember that the salvation of others may depend in you being able to break down some of the strongholds that keep you tied down today, if you can or won’t do it for yourself, will you do it for them? James 5:19-20 “Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • GODS DWELLING PLACE renamed | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY GOD’S DWELLING PLACE Psalm 43:3 “Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle (dwelling place).” There has always been oppression from God’s enemy Satan against those whose desire is to do God’s will. In many instances some even experience greater persecution than others. It is like that today as well. But there is a kind of persecution that those who experience it, feel like they have been personally targeted. And it soon becomes obvious to them that in order for them to be delivered from such persecution that they need to be personally vindicated. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear (endure) it.” It is true that all persecution is such as that which is common to man. But it is also true that some are able to endure more than others, so that the intensity of the persecution may vary from one individual to another. 2 Corinthians 12:7 “And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure.” It is also true that for those who are seeking and receiving spiritual revelation from the Lord, in order to keep their pride at bay, the Lord allows them to endure greater persecution than others, but never more than that which they are able to endure. We see this with people who are placed in high positions of spiritual authority. They have to endure greater waves of persecution, in order to keep them from giving into the pride that follows their high position which would cause them to fall. That is why the Bible warns against installing untested novices in high positions of authority, for they will not be able to endure the level of persecution that naturally follows such high positions. Psalm 43:1 “Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man!” It is clear from the opening of Psalm forty-three, that the psalmist is dealing with the kind of persecution that has targeted him personally. Here we see an opportunity to learn how to deal with this kind of personal persecution and how to discerned the difference between this kind of persecution and that which is common to man. It appears that the origin of this temptation was an ungodly nation who had targeted individuals like the writer of the Psalm for personal attacks. It also involved a deceitful and unjust man who was personally, unjustly, and deceitfully, attacking the writer of this Psalm and those like him. Psalm 42:10 “As with a breaking of my bones, my enemies reproach (revile) me, while they say to me all day long, ‘Where is your God?’” The difference between the temptations which are commonly natural to all believers, and the persecutions that arise out of an ungodly nation is the unleashing of the demonic hordes that are able to afflict a nation who has turned from God to the wickedness of this world. Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” These demonic hordes target those who are spiritual and who are able to warn the nation of the dangers into which it has fallen. Judge, after judge, after judge, keep ruling against the will of the American people. It seems that no matter what good moral laws we pass, what constitutional amendments we write and vote into law, all it takes is one federal judge to declare it null and void. The high stakes of this spiritual warfare are enormous, for the future of the nation, and to a lesser degree, the future of the world is being decided. Psalm 43:2 “For You are the God of my strength; why do You cast me off? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?” Like the psalmist, we end up feeling rejected and left out by God Himself. How can we stand up against these demonic hordes that are running rampant against our nations? Let’s take another look into our opening text. Psalm 43:3 “Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.” Light, or enlightening truth from God is the only thing that is able to drive away any and all demonic hordes from our midst. However this powerful force of deliverance needs a dwelling place, a tabernacle in this earth in order to be successful. In order to become a tabernacle for God’s delivering power, we have to enter into His holy hill and abide with Him in His tabernacle. We dealt with this in the previous lesson; according to Psalm 24, only those who have clean hands and a pure heart, who have not lifted up their souls to idols nor sworn deceitfully are able to receive this power. Psalm 24:3-4 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.” Now, more than ever before, fellowship with this world system can have disastrous consequences on our ability to powerfully intercede against all the evil forces that war from within our nations governments against the Word of God. So that we see the interaction between the corporal and the individual. The ungodly nation and the deceitful and unjust man. David was just an individual, but he refused to compromise with the sin of idolatry. God rewarded his faithfulness by making him king of the nation of Israel, and David drove that nation into its highest glory. Saul, the first king of Israel became an idolater—for his disobedience was as the sin of witchcraft—and he severely and personally persecuted David aiming to destroy his life. How did David overcome the personal persecution that aimed to destroy him personally and the purpose that God had for David’s life? Psalm 26:4-5 “I have not sat with idolatrous mortals, nor will I go in with hypocrites, I have hated the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.” Notice how David begins Psalm twenty-six the same way that the other psalmist began Psalm forty-three, Vindicate me, O Lord. Psalm 26:1 “Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity. I have also trusted in the Lord; I shall not slip.” Under king Saul, both the nation and the king persecuted David, for Saul pursued David with Israel’s army for the purpose of killing him. David prayed to the Lord, and I’m paraphrasing: Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have not walked in their idolatry; that is what he meant by I have walked in my integrity. He continued, I did not sit with them, and I will not sit with them, the idolaters and the evil doers. I will not be a part of their wickedness, no matter how much it costs me. David triumphed over the man by refusing to partake in his idolatry, and by faithfully waiting on God and not taking matters into his own hands. He pleased God—and God gave to him the nation of Israel as his reward. The greatest desire of David’s heart was to build a dwelling place for the glory of God to rest while here on the earth! It is safe to say that God had already found a dwelling place here on the earth in the heart of David. Psalm 43:4 “Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.” It does not matter whether it is David, the sons of Korah, or us; when we make our God our exceeding joy, renounce all idolatries, and cry out to God for vindication—God’s dwelling place takes residence within us. The anointing oil distilled from the fragrance of our songs of praise breaks off the oppression of the enemy and we are able to enter into the hill of the Lord with thanksgivings in our hearts. Isaiah 61:3 “To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” There is no doubt that the nations of the world that once honored the Gospel of Jesus Christ, have turned their backs on the God of the Gospel; they have decided to follow the god’s of their own making and imaginations. They now live with open reproach and contempt against those of us who have kept the faith of our founding fathers. They have elected for themselves leaders that represent their contempt against us in the way they govern. They have deceived and continued to deceive those who should know better, into keeping them in power. They have no regard for truth. They do not care how much misery they inflict upon those whom they deceive. Their hatred towards God has no bounds since their father is the devil, who was a liar and a murderer from the very beginning. But we know them, we know the spirits that drive them, and we have no part with them. Let the dead bury their own dead. As for us, this is our heartfelt prayer: Oh Lord, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead us. Let Your light and Your truth bring us into Your holy hill and into Your tabernacle. Psalm 25:4-5 “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all day.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS POWER | HoFM

Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS POWER Written by Lisa Kane 4/8/2013 First know this. The actual phrases ‘Kingdom of God’ and ‘Kingdom of Heaven’ only exists in the New Testament. This tells me that this phrase belongs to the dispensation of grace, meaning the time we’re in now. Also know this, the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven are used interchangeably throughout the New Testament. The Kingdom of God is found 69 times in the New Testament. The Kingdom of Heaven is found 31 times in the New Testament. So if this is for the dispensation of grace, what is it? Let’s break down the root of the statement. According to dictionary.com, kingdom means “a state or government having a king or queen as its head.” According to dictionary.com, God means “the one Supreme Being, the creator and ruler of the universe.” And according to dictionary.com, heaven means “the abode of God, the angels, and the spirits of the righteous after death; the place or state of existence of the blessed after the mortal life.” The reason God and Heaven are interchangeable is because God dwells in us and we in Him. God is spirit and heaven is a spiritual place. Wherever God is, there is heaven and if God dwells in us and we in Him, then we’ve already begun our journey towards heaven. Think of it like this: 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” We don’t have to wait for death to happen for us to begin experiencing heaven. We have heaven now. Another thing to think about here is that when Jesus died on the cross, the temple veil was torn in two. Matthew 27:51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; This means that Jesus removed the separation between God and man thus bringing the Kingdom of God to Earth. So again, what is the Kingdom of God? This was so important that both of these phrases together were mentioned 100 times in the New Testament. Mark 4:11 And He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables, The Kingdom of God relates to spiritual power or the spiritual warfare one deals with during the dispensation of grace. Matthew 12:28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Look how specific Matthew 12:28 is. Jesus is clearly saying that by casting out demons by the Spirit of God then the Kingdom of God is upon you. So that reaffirms that the Kingdom of God is spiritual power in the dispensation of grace. Now how does this work? First, we know that to be with God is to believe in God or as Jesus put it in John 3:3, we must be born again. John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” And right after that, Jesus was even more specific by saying: John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Entering the Kingdom of God means entering into God’s power. Now let me make something clear here. Entering the Kingdom of God is different than entering heaven. Remember above-mentioned scripture in Matthew 12:28 , that by casting out demons the Kingdom of God is upon you. Remember what Romans says which brings a distinct difference between spiritual warfare and going to heaven: Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Calling on God is different than entering the Kingdom of God. Entering the Kingdom of God deals with spiritual matters HERE ON EARTH and no one can just have any of God’s power; hence there are rules to follow. The person who decides to enter into this power with God must be ready to accept the responsibilities associated with this power. Casting out demons has nothing to do with going to heaven. Once you understand that, you understand why so many people become confused and get upset when they think they can’t go to heaven or someone tells them they won’t go to heaven unless they change their lifestyle because of the sin he or she is living in. Keep the Bible simple. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved; hence that person is going to heaven. And you only have to call on him once…Jesus only died once on the cross. But if you’re beyond just calling on the name of the Lord to be saved, then you’re ready to enter the Kingdom of God, which is the spiritual power God has for His people. That means separating you from this world and entering into this Kingdom that Jesus brought to Earth with Him when He ministered during His lifetime. And to obtain that power, one must ‘enter’ the Kingdom of God. How does one enter the Kingdom of God? Matthew 21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to Him, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you that tax collectors and harlots enter the kingdom of God before you. Jesus is very specific to who enters this kingdom. As stated in Matthew 21:30 & 31 in a parable He spoke to the Pharisees, He mentions that tax collectors and harlots enter before them. That’s not to say the Pharisees wouldn’t have but the Pharisees had some internal heart issues they needed to take care of before they could enter the Kingdom of God. Another way He mentioned it: Matthew 19:24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” Luke 6:20 [ The Beatitudes ] Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. Also remember above, Jesus in John 3 mentioned being born again and baptized or born of water and spirit. (John 3:3 and 3:5). Again, let’s keep in mind that baptizing isn’t to enter heaven, but it is to enter into the power of the Kingdom of God. And when do we need this power? Not when we get to heaven but while we’re here on Earth. Remember, Jesus’ ministry did not begin until He was baptized. This is very important. By the way, how does one become born again? Here’s how: Romans 10:9 New King James Version (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Speak up. That’s right. Speak with your mouth to God, believing that Jesus is real because God raised Him from the dead, and simply say, “I confess Lord that You are God and I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I believe You are Lord and I ask You to be Lord of my life. Thank You!” Then get baptized. Now you’ve just entered the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is power. Power to save, heal, and deliver. Key here is to LET THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACH YOU about His power. This is a personal journey you’re ready to live. Start reading the gospels and Acts in the New Testament. This will help you understand the power Jesus and His disciples demonstrated that you’re ready to begin using too. While you’re going through this journey, you’re going to find yourself faced with some serious decisions to make here. For example, God will lead you on a journey to separate yourself from the world. Here’s a list of items Paul clearly makes that you can’t participate in if you want to be a part of the Kingdom of God or a part of demonstrating His power here on Earth: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 New King James Version (NKJV) 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. As you can see, one must separate oneself from these items to operate in the Kingdom of God. That doesn’t mean you can hate or hurt those that choose to live his or her life as a fornicator, idolater, etc. Everybody has a choice on how he or she wants to live his or her life. You yourself are looking at a change, which is why you’re reading this. How can you live moving in the power of God if you’re heart isn’t right on viewing those who need God? I’ll end with this. Show love and compassion with the above scripture. By doing this, you demonstrate and establish the Kingdom of God in you and everything around you. 1 Corinthians 13 New King James Version (NKJV) The Greatest Gift 13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Back to Other Teachings

Top of Page Top of Page THE SHADOW OF EVIL Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published 2015 This is a sampling of the free book called The Shadow of Evil. You can read the book for free here. Introduction: 2 Timothy 1:9 "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." Before time began means that before God created our universe, He not only had a purpose for creating it—which had been hidden from us—but within that purpose was also intricately hidden the mystery of grace, and both were destined to be revealed to us in Christ Jesus. Romans 16:25 "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret (hidden) since the world began." I believe this mystery to be the revelation of the purpose behind the creation which is two-fold, God's purpose and grace. Now we who presently know God's mercy and have tasted of the sweet nectar of God's grace towards us, in the salvation that we now enjoy in Jesus, have also been given the privilege to know the hidden purpose behind the creation in which we now exist. Romans 11:33 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God (God's purpose and grace)! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" It is with confidence in the abilities given to us by the Holy Spirit through the power of His grace that works within us, that we now endeavor in searching out what God's real purpose was behind the creation of our universe, and how grace was the bulwark that sustained that purpose. Daniel 2:22 "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." I believe the key that unravels the mystery behind the purpose for the creation lies in understanding the meaning of darkness and its interaction with the light. We could also call it the struggle between good and evil. In either case, the true revelation of the mystery behind the creation can only bring glory to God and to Jesus Christ, who is the manifestation of God's grace, through whom also the abilities to reveal such secrets is given to us. Daniel 2:47 "…'Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.'" • THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEA | HoFM

OTHER TEACHINGS THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR Psalm 145:17-18 “The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call u pon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” King David begins Psalm 145 with a shout of praise to God. It is interesting that David addresses Him as my God, O King; let’s take a look at how David begins this Psalm of adoration. Psalm 145:1 “I will extol (praise) You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.” It takes a king to understand the difficulties of fairly and justly ruling over a kingdom. This Psalm can be read from the perspective of a testimonial that David, as a human king who understood the difficulties of ruling and reigning over flawed humans, bestowed upon our God the Creator, who is also the Great ruling King over all mankind. In our opening text, David makes three key points that underline the qualities with which God rules as King over His creation. First David says of God’s rule: The Lord is righteous in all His ways. Coming from any of us, that statement would not carry as much weight as it does coming from an earthly king who ruled over God’s people for forty years. If you have ever been in a position of leadership, you know how difficult it is to make decisions that affect a group of people and really say to yourself that such decision would be accepted as the perfect choice by everyone involved. As any true leader will tell you, you can’t please everyone, as I’m sure David knew that very well, but yet He says of God our King, that He is righteous in all His ways. Why is this fact so important, that God’s rule is always perfect? Doubt is the opposite of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God, so that if we are doubting the righteousness of God on any situation that we face, we put ourselves at a disadvantage, and by doing so we forfeit the blessings that are offered to us within His kingdom. Psalm 145:5 “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on (the words of) Your wondrous works.” Meditating is the process of slowly ingesting and digesting information, in David’s case he was meditating not only on what God had promised him, but also in what God had already accomplished in his life as well. In the early struggles of my walk by faith journey, I remember at times feeling abandoned by the Lord just because certain things did not work out the way that I expected them to work out, and I remember the words of encouragement that Jesus would always send my way, I did not bring you out this far just to let you go! Psalm 145:19 “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.” I soon realized that in our walk of faith we have to learn how to walk in what the Bible calls the fear of the Lord before He will hear our cry for help, in other words we have to learn how to respect the way that His kingdom operates, which is by faith. Oh, the innocence of those times! One of my first lessons in hearing from the Lord occurred as I was driving from the Orange County area in California where I lived at the time, to the San Fernando Valley area to get pay from my labor as a painting contractor, for that was where the office was located that I had done the work for. Immediately as I started driving towards the office I felt the Lord impressing on me that I was to go someplace and pray after I left the office, so when I picked up the check I said to the Lord, where do you want me to go and pray Lord? Of course I heard nothing back, but since I was sure He had spoken to me earlier, I proceeded through a mountain road down to the coast where the Malibu area is located, for I figured that the mountain or the beach would be a good place to stop and pray. I still felt nothing, so I continued down the coast to the South Bay area of Los Angeles hoping to hear from the Lord as to where I was supposed to stop and pray, about two hours had elapsed and nothing, the church that we attended was in the port area of Los Angeles so I thought that God wanted me to go to the church and pray there, so that was where I headed, when I got over there, the Christian school was having an event in the auditorium, so praying there was out of the question. As I walked through the parking lot to get in my car and finally drive home, someone flagged me down, a church member and his wife had just gotten real bad news and asked me if I would pray with them over the situation that they were facing. I told them of my ordeal just to find out where I was supposed to go and pray, and it encouraged them so much that God had sent someone to pray for them before they even got the bad news, that their faith was made strong enough to overcome their situation. I realized there and then that God always has a perfect plan for everything that He does, and that all that is required of us is to remain faithful, for if we do not give up, we will not only have the victory over whatever situation we are facing, but in time we will understand how perfect and marvelous God’s ways are. Psalm 145:6 “Men shall speak (as I just did) of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.” I learned then, and continue to learn now, that the Lord is righteous in all His ways, whether I understand them or not, after all it is said and done the fact that the Lord is righteous in all His ways will be revealed to all the saints and will be acknowledged by them. Psalm 145:10 “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your saints shall bless You.” Secondly, David said about God’s rule that the Lord is: Gracious in all His works! Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surrounds Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” All the works of God are perfect, and since we forfeited our perfection when Adam sinned, the justice of God has to be satisfied, that is why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins, to satisfy the righteous demands of justice. So that all of the works of God on behalf of mankind are all founded on His grace, as David also acknowledged. Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” In Bible days a king ruled supreme, the words that came out of his mouth were the law, anyone who trespassed against the king’s edicts faced sure death unless the king pardoned their transgression by offering them his mercy. David understood the principles of mercy, because from his ruling position he also understood that the righteousness of God required perfection, something that no human had, that is also why the Messiah had to be all human and all perfect. Thirdly, David said about God’s rule that: The Lord is near to all who call on Him! Imagine that, in the natural, the more responsibility that a person in leadership has the more difficult it is for people to get near them, for their time becomes that much more valuable, so that we usually have to deal with the underlings of those who exercise great authority, but not so with our King, He can meet alone with everyone of His subjects at the same time and in different places, because our King is also God. Psalm 145:13 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” And unlike our present world system where the lower that we are in the societal spectrum, the more difficult it is for us to reach those who are in authority, with our Eternal King is the opposite. Psalm 145:14 “The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.” No wonder David was praising God with such great exuberance, for what he is saying in this Psalm is that there is no god like our God. Psalm 145:3 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable (beyond our understanding).” So that it is always by faith; our righteousness comes by faith in His Word, our dealings with Him are always based on our faith of His gracious works toward us, and by faith we know that He is always near to us, for we know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And that’s the truth, so let us call upon Him in truth, for He hears us. Back to Other Teachings
