  • SPIRITUAL FRUIT | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness (meekness), self-control. Top of Page SPIRITUAL FRUIT Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness (meekness), self-control. Against such there is no law.” The word fruit is singular, meaning that these nine qualities can only be produced by a person who has had the love of God shed-abroad on their hearts at the moment of their spiritual birth, in other words, unbelievers do not have the capacity to produce spiritual fruit, since they are not born again, or born of the Spirit of God. Galatians 5:24-25 “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit (if we are born again, or born of the Spirit), let us also walk in the Spirit.” What Paul is trying to teach us here is that we have a unique opportunity, as believers, to take advantage of the deliverance that our salvation has made available to all who believe. In the previous lesson (deliverance is for life, in the deliverance archives) I made the point that Jesus not only forgives us our sins when we confess them before Him in true repentance, but that Jesus is not only just, but able as well, to cleanse us, that is, to deliver us from the consequences of the sins that He forgives us when we truly repent. 1 John 1:9 So that Paul is making the case to the Galatians, that since the Spirit of God’s love abides in them, for without God’s Spirit they could not be saved, why don’t they just continue to follow the spiritual path of love that will eventually lead them to a victorious walk of self-control, which is the goal of the Christian path, that is to overcome our selfish ambitions. Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interest of others.” A self-centered person can never truly be delivered, for the Christian battle is always between the spirit of Selfish-Ambitions and the spirit of Self-Control, and a self-centered person can never walk in self-control, for everything in this world is designed to entice the spirit of selfishness that we were all born within our human nature, away from God’s counsel that will lead us into the path of self-control. 1 John 2:15-17 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.” The key phrase here is, the love of the Father, spiritual fruit emanates from the love of the Father, without the love of the Father there is no spiritual fruit, and love for the things of this world will keep us from being delivered from the spirit of Selfish-Ambitions. 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end (goal) of your faith—the salvation (deliverance) of your souls.” The goal of our Christian walk is that of living by the power of the spiritual fruit of Self-Control, for against such there is no law, in other words, there can be no condemnation against us when we are led by the Spirit of God’s love. But remember what Paul said, if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit, meaning that not all who are born again, that is, they live in the Spirit, are able to walk in the Spirit as well, for they are bound by strongholds that keeps them from walking in the freedom that Jesus has destined for them. What is it that keeps Christians from walking in the freedom of self-control that Jesus has already purchased for them? Jonah 2:8 “Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own Mercy.” Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Remember that it was Jonah who did not want to go and preach to the city of Nineveh that if they repented, God would forgive them, and because of his rebellion against the will of God, he was taken into the belly of hell itself where he almost perished. Why did he rebelled? Jonah 4:2 “So he prayed to the Lord, and said, ‘Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.’” Jonah refused to preach to his enemies because he did not want them to be spared the judgment that they had coming. Knowing that God is merciful, Jonah feared that if he preached to them and they repented, that God would forgive them, as He did. Jonah’s selfish desires got the best of him, for he rather see his enemies perish than forgiven, and it almost cost him his own soul, so that he understood about forfeiting the grace that he had with God. Jesus taught the same principle to us in a parable, so that we understand the dangers of walking in our own selfish interests. Matthew 18:33-35 “Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers (tormentors) until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” If we are to fully understand about love and forgiveness, and deliverance and restoration, we have to view them from a spiritual perspective, rather than from our physical perch, and that is because there are demonic forces involved with all of these. The torturers, or tormentors, are the demonic entities that are in place, and they are ready to go, in a moments notice, after those who stray from the path that God has ordained for them to walk in. While in the world, many of us fell prey to their trickery and paid for our sins and mistakes with the loss of something that was near and dear to us, for the wages of sin is death, and many of us became bound to their strongholds that kept us repeating the same sins over and over again. But when we got saved, Jesus delivered us from the path of waywardness and set our feet on the solid foundation of His Word, and put us under His protection and covering. But the deliverance from the strongholds that still remained after our salvation, can only be obtained by the power of His love with which He loved us, working in us and through us, and manifested to others in a way that makes it clear to all the demonic hosts that we understand God’s mercy and His great love and compassion for all humankind. 1 John 4:18-20 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us (we understand His love for us so that we are able to love Him back, and are able to love others as He loves them). If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” As we learn not to take the offenses that come our way personally, and make it a habit of praying for our enemies and for those whom the Lord places in our path that keep failing others and ourselves, we become spiritual light bearers on behalf of those who are out in no man’s land. Our prayers for them becomes a temporary covering, like the one that God provided for the prophet Jonah as He was dealing with Jonah’s rebellion, that way, the demonic tormentors are limited in what they are able to do against those we are praying for, and when the Lord knows that they are ready, He will remove the temporary covering that He placed over them through our ministry of intercession and reveal to them His love for them and the way of their salvation. Jonah 4:6-11 “And the Lord God prepared a plant and made it come up over Jonah (a temporary spiritual covering), that it might be shade for his head to deliver him from his misery. So Jonah was very grateful for the plant. But as morning dawned the next day God prepared a worm, and it so damaged the plant that it withered. And it happened, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat on Jonah’s head, so that he grew faint. Then he wished death for himself, and said, ‘It is better for me to die than to live.’ Then God said to Jonah, ‘Is it right for you to be angry about the plant?’ And he said, ‘It is right for me to be angry, even to death!’ But the Lord said, ‘You have had pity on the plant for which you have not labored, nor made it grow, which came up in a night and perished in a night. And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left—and much livestock?’” Jonah had such a tremendous stronghold of hatred towards the people of Nineveh that he was angry enough to die for a plant that offered him a temporary covering, while he waited to see if God would destroy the city that he hated and did not want to see delivered. The fact that God uses the number one hundred and twenty thousand, connects it to the church age, for there were about one hundred and twenty disciples gathered together in one accord when the Holy Spirit fell on them. Is there a hidden lesson here for the church of Jesus Christ? Let us keep it personal; is there a hatred so deep within you against someone or something, that you are willing to forfeit the grace that you have in Jesus just to get revenge? I pray not! But if you have a stronghold of prejudice in your life against someone who has hurt you, you need to bear it no more, ask the Lord to deliver you, pray for His revelation to show you the spiritual condition of those who betrayed your trust, and know for a fact that all your trespasses He has gladly forgiven you. If you cannot find the capacity within you to love and to forgive those who spitefully used you and abused you, I have good news for you, He will give you a new heart, just let the old one go. Get on the floor, with your face pressed hard against it, and picture yourself at the feet of Jesus, and there cry out to Him; Lord! Have mercy on this lost and broken sinner, and there at the foot of the cross, leave that old broken and hardened heart once and for all, and before you get up you will be renewed, for He is a merciful God, and He will not turn you away. To be sure, you will not be the first nor will you be the last to be delivered by the power of an all loving and merciful God. Jonah 2:2 “...I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol (hell) I cried, and You heard my voice.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE LAW OF CHRIST | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY THE LAW OF CHRIST Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” When we think about a law our minds immediately turn to the rules and regulations that somehow apply, you know, the do’s and don’ts. But we need to understand that when the Bible refers to a law in most instances it is speaking about spiritual principles, for the law is spiritual. Romans 7:14 “For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin.” In the natural, if we really want to understand why a law exists, and if we want to know if a law is a good law, we need to look into the spirit of the law, in other words, find out why the law was instituted to begin with. Why do we have stop signs? It is obvious that if two drivers reach an intersection at the same time, and from different directions, and neither one of them slows down, you know people are going to get hurt. So that the spirit of the law behind a stop sign is to protect the drivers and those who might be around a busy intersection at any given time. If we really want to understand biblical principles, all we need to do is to look at the regulations that govern such laws or principles, for they are there for a good reason. In this lesson we are going to take a look at a few of the different laws or principles that we find in the Bible, and we are going to look at the reasons why God instituted them, in the hope that the better that we understand them, the easier it will be for us to submit to them. Let us begin with The Law of Moses. Why is it called the Law of Moses? John 1:17 “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” Since God’s laws were given through Moses first, many times when the Bible mentions the law, it is usually speaking of the commandments that God gave us through Moses. You will also hear it mentioned about the law and the prophets, and that generally speaks about the laws that came through Moses and through the prophets of the Old Testament as one and the same law. Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” What is the spirit behind the law of Moses? Deuteronomy 28:58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear (learn to respect) this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD.” The law was given to men so that we could understand the very nature of God as we compare it to our own nature. And as we do that, we find that God is holy, and that we are not. We find that God is spiritual, and that we are carnal. We see that God is perfect, and that we are flawed. Jonah 4:2 “...For I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.” Our God is also a loving, gracious, and merciful God, as a rebellious Jonah clearly testified as he quoted from the Law of Moses. We are always in need of God’s love, in need of His grace, and of His mercy. We need Him to be patient with us, and slow to anger as He deals with our stubborn nature. The spirit behind the law of Moses reveals that God is perfect and that we are not, but it shows that God is also loving and compassionate, the two things that we are always in need of, which bring us to the principles that drive our next two laws. The Law of Sin and Death, and The Law of the Spirit of Life. Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” In the Law and the Prophets, we see the duality of the problem clearly revealed. God is Spirit, and since we are not spiritual, for we are carnal creatures, there is a great divide between us and God. That needs to be bridged before we can be accepted by God, for the Law requires that we change by becoming spiritual. But how can we become spiritual when we are carnal by nature? The Word of God Who is spiritual had to become carnal or flesh like us in human form, in order to fulfill all the righteous or spiritual requirements of the Law as a human. Since the Law can kill only those who fail it, for it is written in the Law: The soul that sins shall surely die, and since Jesus died, but not for His sins, for He had none, for He is perfect and fulfilled all the Law, so that it was the sins of others that He died for on the cross. But here is the fact that the Law cannot violate the rights of a righteous man. So that if the Law was ever to kill a righteous man it would have to give Him back His life, since the Law is perfect, and it cannot condemn an innocent man. But since Jesus, a righteous man died, atonement was made for sins, and since it was not for His own sins that He died, since He had none, then we must ask the question, whose sins did He atone for on His death on the cross? 1 Corinthians 15:45 “And so it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being.’ The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” Hence the Law of the Spirit of Life was introduced to release all the descendants of the first Adam from the Law of Sin and Death that we all had inherited through Adam’s fall, and at the same time to make us spiritual and acceptable to God through the Law of the Sprit of Life to all who freely accept the pardon that has been offered to all Adam’s descendants who are willing to believe, which brings us to our next law. The Law of Faith. Romans 3:27-28 “Where is the boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.” The work that Jesus completed on the cross for us accomplished two things: First, it fulfilled the Law of God as revealed through Moses and the Prophets, as Jesus told us, I did not come to destroy (the Law) but to fulfill (it). What that means is that Jesus fulfilled, as a human, all the requirements of righteousness that the law demanded from all humans. Secondly, it demonstrated God’s true love for us as revealed in the Law, that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us and removed us from the Law of Sin and Death that we were under by placing us under the Law of the Spirit of Life. But through The Law of the Sprit of Life another law is revealed, The Law of Faith, and the only requirements that we have under this law of faith is that we believe that we have been delivered from Adam’s fall by the atoning work of Jesus on the cross, for this is the law that trumps the sin that caused Adam to fall in the first place. Genesis 3:11 “...Who told you that you were naked?” Spiritually speaking, fruit is the product of what we believe deep within us. In other words, the nature of the fruit that we produce. I am talking about our conduct of course, for it reveals which doctrine we believe. When we are told that Adam took of the fruit that originated from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and ate it, it means that he believed what he was told. That is why God asked him the question, who told you that you were naked? The root of Adam’s sin was that when God created him, God said of him that he was good, even though he was naked, and God did not associate any shame with Adam being naked. When the serpent revealed to Adam the condition of his nakedness and associated it with shame, Adam believed the words of the serpent over what God had said...that was his sin. When Jesus hung on the cross naked, He took all the shame that every human had ever experienced or will ever experience, and He nailed it there for all to see. Adam might had been naked in the natural, but he wasn’t uncovered, for the God that created him, loved him and accepted him as he was, and it was the covering of God’s Word that clothed him, for when God looked at him in his naked condition God declared him good, and it is the Word of God that sets the standards, not the devil nor the world. And so it is for us who believe today as well, we are still naked in the sense that we still dwell in these mortal bodies, and we still have to contend with the devil who accuses us day and night continuously reminding us of our nakedness. But our covering comes through The Law of Faith, for in it we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. So that what changes is our testimony, we are not naked and we do not walk in shame, for our nakedness has been covered by the grace of Almighty God and nailed to the cross along with its shame. Romans 10:8-10 “But what does it say? The word (the fruit) is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word [law] of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (through The Law of the Sprit of Life), you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Since in Jesus we are covered under The Law of the Spirit of Life, and since our only requirement is that we abide by The Law of Faith, that is to believe in the promises of God and to declare our allegiance to them faithfully, that brings us then into another law. The Law of Liberty. James 1:25 “But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 2:12 “So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.” Therefore we live under the covering of The law of the Sprit of Life, empowered by The Law of Faith, which in tur n has placed us under The Law of Liberty that frees us to boldly proclaim the Gospel without any shame or trepidation. So that now we are free to fulfill The Law of Christ! Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will... Top of Page THE MIGHTY ONE IS COMING, HE WILL SAVE US. Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” There has never been a time in the history of the Christian church when so many of the signs that point to the end of times have been revealed, and when so many of the end time prophecies that precede the Lord’s return have been fulfilled. We are not only the generation that will witness the glorious return of our Lord to save us, but we are right in the end of the time that has been allotted to that final generation. The return of our Lord is imminent! It is implied in our opening text that before our Lord returns, that it would be a time of great turbulence and upheaval, for we are told that at His return He will quiet us with His love. Let us take a sober look at how the events that are taking place all around us right now fit within the prophetic scenario that is given before the return of our Lord. Zephaniah 3:1-2 “Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted, to the oppressing city! She has not obeyed His voice, she has not received correction; she has not trusted in the Lord, she has not drawn near to her God.” When Zephaniah first uttered his prophetic words, they were meant as an indictment against the city of Jerusalem and the people of Judah. But it is very clear within the context of his prophecy that there is a double meaning to his prophetic vision that clearly is applicable to what the prophet calls the day of the Lord’s fierce anger, that foretells about the end of time, as we see in the opening verses of his prophetic vision. Zephaniah 1:2-3 “I will utterly consume (make a complete end of) everything from the face of the land, says the Lord; I will consume man and beast; I will consume the birds of the heavens, the fish of the sea, and the stumbling blocks (idols) along with the wicked. I will cut off man from the face of the land (ground), says the Lord.” It is clear from the sweeping judgments against man, beast, sea, ground, air, idols, and the wicked, presented in the opening of this prophecy, that God was clearly foretelling something more than what their present condition required. He was also speaking about the Day of the Lord’s wrath during the time of the latter days, our present day time. So that when He said in the previous verse: Woe to her who is rebellious and polluted about the city of Jerusalem of Zephaniah’s day, that He also had an end time entity in mind as well. It is very possible that the Lord is referring to a large portion of end time Christianity, what He calls in Revelation the Laodicea church. Revelation 3:15-17 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” It is clear from the context that our Lord’s focus is against Christian religious organizations of the end times that seem to be standing in their own merits and traditions, rather than having a continuous need for the Lord to be their entire focus; refusing the correction of the Holy Spirit, and not fully trusting in the Lord as their redeemer, having need of nothing. When a church entity becomes organized to the point that their bylaws and traditions take precedent over the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit, that church entity is in rebellion to the will of God for her and by her rebellion becomes polluted; it ceases to be a house of deliverance and becomes a house of oppressing legalism. If we think of the two thousand years church history as training and preparation for an event that will surpass every other event in human history, the coming of the Mighty One, then we can see why it is so important that the church be obedient and prepared, for we do not know how events will unfold before His return, so that we need to be in tune with His Word and with the revelation that the Holy Spirit brings to get us ready to be taken up with Him in a moments notice. Zephaniah 3:4 “Her prophets are insolent, treacherous people; her priests have polluted (profaned) the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law (did not stay true to His Word).” In the book of Revelation, the difference between the Philadelphia church that gets taken up in the rapture, and the Laodicea church that gets left behind, is that the Philadelphia church kept His Word and did not deny the Lord’s name, obviously the Laodicea church had need of none of those things, for it could stand on its own religious merits. Zephaniah 3:5 “The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness, every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, but the unjust knows no shame.” The Lord makes it very clear that even though the Laodicea church is in disobedience, that it still belongs to Him for He is in her midst, and after all, He promised His church to never leave her nor to forsake her; so if He were to abandon her that would be wrong, and He will do no unrighteousness, even if they continuously flaunt their disobedience in spite of His daily warnings against her, but they seem to know no shame. Who are these people? It is hard for me to reconcile the Christianity that I know with some of the people that are described as Christian ministers during the end of time in many of the end time prophecies. But Zephaniah gives us some great insight that will help us identify who some of these people might be, for they will be sharing some of the same qualities that the prophets and priests of his days had. Zephaniah 1:4-5 “I will stretch out My hand against Judah, and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem (for our present day interpretation this prophecy is against the Laodicea church). I will cut every trace of Baal (the false lord, or the other Jesus that they preach) from this place, (along with) the names of the idolatrous priests (Christian ministers that practice or follow pagan traditions along) with the pagan priests—those who worship the host of heaven on the house tops (astrologers); those who worship and swear oaths by the Lord (clearly referring to Christians), but also swear by Milcom (or Molech, to whom infants were offered as sacrifices during Zephaniah’s time, our present day abortionists).” We can clearly see that in end time Christianity there will be different churches, that to different degrees, will preach another Jesus, along with a different gospel that is influenced by the spirit of paganism, and that many of them will be supporters of abortion rights. And this is what they will acknowledge by their actions, the actions that will eventually bring God’s judgment upon them: Zephaniah 1:6 “Those (these are they that) who have turned back from following the Lord, and have not sought the Lord, nor inquired of Him.” Zephaniah 1:12 “And it shall come to pass at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, and punish the men who are settled in complacency (lukewarmness, the Laodicea church), who say in their heart, ‘The Lord will not do good, nor will He do evil.’” If religion has a goal, it is that of pushing God out to the back so that it, religion, can become the final arbiter in any given matter. In order to do that it has to neutralize God first, to the point where God becomes a bystander, a simple observer, and therefore it falls upon religion the sacred duties of deciding what is right and what is wrong. However, this is what God says is going to happen to religion when the time for God to act finally comes: Zephaniah 1:13 “Therefore their goods shall become booty, and their houses a desolation; they shall build houses, but not inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards, but not drink their wine.” What it finally boils down to is the fact that religion cannot sustain itself in the day of God’s wrath. For the day of God’s wrath is a day when the truth is revealed, and religion is built on a myth, the myth that God is not active in man’s affairs, and that He will not involve Himself in the everyday workings of His creation. This is why the belief that Jesus is coming back soon for His church, to set up His everlasting kingdom, is laughed at by many within the Laodicea church today. But how is this for their wake-up call! Zephaniah 1:14-16 “The great day of the Lord is near; it is near and hastens quickly, the noise of the day of the Lord is bitter; there the mighty men shall cry out. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of devastation and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and alarm against the fortified cities and against the high towers.” If I can encapsulate the flavor of what the prophet is telling us, this is how I would do it: That the day of the Lord is COMING SOON! And that the day of the Lord is REAL! And that the day of the Lord if going to be a BAD DAY! The day of the Lord is a day from which we will need to be RESCUED! The only way that a reasonable person, a person that calls himself a believer, cannot understand the clarity with which the Scriptures describes the end of times, is if such a person just decides that God does not mean what he says in His Word. In other words, they do not keep His Word, because if they do they would have to do away with all of their idolatries and man made doctrines. But as usual there is hope for those of us who put our hope in Him, and who trust on the veracity of God’s Word, and not on the corrupted religious traditions of men and demons by which so many unwilling Christians are enslave into their idolatry. Zephaniah 2:3 “Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, who have held up His justice (Word). Seek righteousness (not religion), seek humility (realize that we are always in need of Him and His grace). It may be that you will be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.” There is a price to pay for being an ardent adherent of God’s Word, there is no doubt about that. We are ridiculed constantly for the fervency with which we believe the inerrancy of Scripture, many a times from our own quarters. We are defamed in many instances, not just by the world, but by Laodicean Christians that believe that our stance against compromise with the world is a hindrance to their version of Christianity being accepted by the world, even though we are clearly warned in Scripture against being loved by the world or us loving the things that the world stands for: 1 John 2:15 “Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him.” But you see, once you start denying the parts of Scripture that hinder what it is that you want to accomplish in what you yourself believe, then what is there to keep you from removing anything else from Scripture that does not conform with your relationship with the world? Here is the reason why we need to stay true to the Word of God. This is what God promises those who endure the afflictions of their ridicule and ostracizing for our staying true, in spite of their persecution and defamation, to the Word of God. Zephaniah 3:18-20 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly (the condition of the Laodicean church), who are among you, to whom its reproach is a burden. Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame (those whose ministry was hindered by their slanderous accusations), and gather those who were driven out (kicked out of their churches for exposing their compromise); I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land (place) where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, even at the time I gather you; for I will give you fame and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I return your captives before your eyes, says the Lord.” Those who compromise the Word of God today, do it to gain the praise and fame of the world, and in a twist of irony, that is exactly what God is going to give to those who refuse to compromise the Word of God today, in the world that is to come. • COMPROMISE | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresie Top of Page COMPROMISE 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” In our last deliverance lesson, Kings and Priests, I taught about the separation of powers that God ordained for mankind after the flood, and how Jesus has restored to us—His church—the ability to exercise His authority in both the spiritual and the physical realms. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions (demonic spiritual entities), and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Matthew 21:21 “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain (which is in the physical realm), “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” it will be done.’” The key to this power is the faith which comes by hearing, and the hearing of the uncompromised Word of God. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Now you can see how important our opening text is, in relation to the power that has been given to the church. There will be false teachers among you. Peter is telling us that false teachers will come and pervert the Word of Truth that has empowered us, so that our faith is disarmed to the point that it becomes ineffective. 2 Peter 2:2 “And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed (or perverted).” We can see a mechanism here that begins to emerge. The devil knows that our Lord has given to us authority over him and over his demonic hordes. He can also see that our Lord has given to us authority over the physical realm as well; so how does he stop us from deploying our faith for the purpose of destroying his kingdom? Since the key is, that our faith comes through us hearing the Word of God, the devil’s aim is, to disarm our faith by perverting the Word of Truth that we have been taught to believe in; which are the great and precious promises that have been given to us. 2 Peter 1:3 “As (or according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness (physical and spiritual), through the knowledge of Him (we know Him through the hearing of His uncompromised Word) who called us by glory and virtue.” False teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, for the purpose of separating us from the promises in the Word of God that pertain to the dual power that has been given to us in God’s Word. 2 Peter 1:4 “By which has been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature (which allows us to exercise authority over both, the physical and the spiritual realms), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” What is the key element that the enemy uses in order to detach us from the great and precious promises that empower us? Compromising the Word of Truth for the sake of selfish ambitions! 2 Peter 2:3 “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.” Our power is exploited through deceptive words that appeal to our physical nature and its natural desires, thereby separating us from the spiritual mind set—which is the mind of Christ—to where we become physically minded and forego our spiritual responsibilities, which are to trample on serpents and scorpions by exercising our dual authority over all the power of the enemy. Romans 8:5-7 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death (no power), but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (power in both the physical and the spiritual realms). Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” How do we get delivered from the negative effects on our faith, that all the deceptive words that we have been exposed to through the doctrines of false teachers that are in the ministry for self-gain, have caused us? 2 Peter 1:5 “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge.” Peter, well aware of the tactics of the devil, begins to instruct us as to how we can prevent, and also how to be delivered, from the damage that false doctrines can bring to our faith in the Word of Truth. Giving all diligence means this is a top priority, we must not take this lightly. A weak or compromised faith not only weakens our authority over the enemy, but it also lowers our covering shield that protects us. It may surprise you to know that the word virtue used by Peter as something that we need to add to our faith, means manliness, (valor). How do we add manliness, or valor, or courage to our faith? Knowledge is what adds virtue or manliness to our faith! What type of knowledge adds virtue or manliness to our faith? John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Is this not obvious to all? If belief in the perverted or compromised Word of God weakens our faith, wouldn't belief in the true and uncompromised Word of God add to our faith the strength and manliness that it needs? 2 Peter 1:6 “To knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness.” We cannot exercise control over something that we do not know or understand. Knowledge is what motivates us into exercising control over that which we know to be wrong and that we know is weakening us. Once we know the factual truth that our faith is purposely weaken by false teachers who teach perverted doctrines, we can add virtue or manliness to our faith, by courageously turning away from their demonic doctrines that we know are hurting us, thereby acting in self-control. False teachers are not going to vanish just because we find out about their false doctrines. False demonic doctrines permeate all facets of life, these false doctrines will continue with their allure for us to compromise our faith, especially in the face of the resistance and opposition that this corrupt world system continuously hurdles against our stand for the Truth of the Word of God. That is why perseverance is required of us, and what motivates us into maintaining our perseverance, is our desire for a godly life that pleases God, as we continuously walk in the self-control that is guided by the knowledge that strengthens and adds virtue/manliness to our faith. 2 Peter 1:7 “To godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” We fulfill the Law of God, when we love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and when we love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Now, think about it? Since selfish desires or covetousness, are the allure that the devil uses against us; if we operate under the law of love and brotherly kindness—by putting the needs of others first—we insulate ourselves from the need to compromise that will lead us into accepting the perverted doctrines that weaken our faith in the Word of God. Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better that himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” This is the mind of Christ—and as long as we operate within the mind of Christ, we do not compromise the power and authority that our Lord has given to us to use on behalf of others, for their benefit, as well as ours. 2 Peter 1:8 “For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” There is a proper flow to this authority that has been given to us in our call as kings and priests to Christ—a flow that we do well to heed if we want to be effective in administering this dual power that has been vested in us. 2 Peter 1:19 “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” Since Jesus is our example, let us look at the ministry of Jesus and how He handled the physical and spiritual authority that was given to Him, as King of kings over all physical matter, and as our High Priest over all spiritual hierarchies. John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” The simplest way to put it is this, before we can rule as kings on this earth, we need to serve as priests of the Most High God. We are not to call for the destruction of our human enemies, but for their salvation. And the weapon that we are to implement on their behalf, for their deliverance from the forces of darkness that keeps them blind, is the uncompromised Word of God that shines as a light in a dark place. The Word of God is like a double edge sword, as we wield it without compromise; it shines as a light that not only delivers us personally from the allures of this world system, but it shines through us into the world, and convicts and exposes the darkness that has befallen all who have fallen for the worldly desires that binds them. And through our uncompromising stand for the Word of God it gives them hope. Psalm 18:28 “For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.” Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.” We are the light of the world; and the light that we are to radiate can only come through the uncompromised Word of God that we live daily for all to see. Here is a true saying: If we live as priests we will reign as kings. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE FOUR WAVES | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roar Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY THE FOUR WAVES Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” If we look at the above verse from an entirely spiritual perspective, we see four places that are mentioned, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the earth, that will be hit by a great shaking, and this shaking will come in the form of waves. We obviously live here on the earth, but during those days there will be things that are happening in the entire cosmos that will clearly have an effect upon us here on the earth. Luke 21:26 “Men’s hearts failing them from the fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” When our text declares that the powers of the heavens will be shaken, it is clearly referring to both, a physical and a spiritual shaking that will be taking place during those days. Hebrews 12:26 “Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only earth, but also heaven.’” The number four is significant here because it includes the entire creation, both physical and spiritual. The spiritual emphasis that I want to deal with in this lesson is revealed to us in the form of waves, like in the waves roaring, that is waves making loud sounds that are audible. If you read some of my works, you know that I believe that there are always four spiritual forces that work together in tandem to bring about the conditions that God requires in order to bring about His desire results in any given physical situation. Like the four horseman of the apocalypse, the four trumpets, the four seals, the four winds and so on. These waves are sometimes revealed to the saints in visions or dreams; now there are common threads that link the different revelations to one another, and there are some very unique and individual aspects of the revelation that apply only to the individuals receiving them. Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” In the Old Testament, only certain people were filled with the Holy Spirit. All of the prophets of old were filled with God’s Holy Spirit, since God is Spirit and all His works always begin in the spiritual realm. Those who are filled with His Spirit are in a position to receive the revelation of what God is doing in the spiritual realm that affects us here on the earth. In the New Testament, all the believers are filled with His Holy Spirit, for no one can be born again without being born of the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized (plunged) into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” So that to His church, the body of Christ, revelation is continually flowing corporally from His Spirit that bears witness of what God is presently doing in the spiritual realm. That is why when the Holy Spirit is doing a personal work in us, it seems almost like there is a conspiracy of some sort, for we see the Spirit moving through many different venues to assure us that it is He, and Him alone, not man, who is dealing with us. And when He is revealing things to His church as a whole, many different individuals, oceans apart, will have the basics of the same revelation of what God is doing or is about to do. For that is what Amos says, God will reveal His secrets to His servants, for a testimony to the whole body of believers. My personal experience with dreams of big waves started early in the decade that started in 1990. Previously to my first dream, I do not recall ever hearing about dreams of big waves from anybody . In all four of my dreams that covered a span of several years, there were always two things common on every dream, I knew what cardinal direction I was facing, and I was completely overwhelmed by the size of the waves that were always coming my way. In my first dream, I was facing north while standing on a sidewalk in front of a small country church. I was watching as people were coming out of the church when suddenly a huge massive wave arose from behind the little church. The wave was comprised of water and mud and was coming towards the church from behind. It was moving so fast that I did not even have time to tell the people to turn around and look, I just instinctively crouched behind a small retaining wall in the perimeter of the front lawn. I was so scared that my heart almost stopped, and I remember thinking that I was going to die by breathing in muddy water. I awoke right before the wave hit me an d realized that my body was shaking and I was breathing extremely heavy. In the next two or three years I had two more dreams that were just a different version of that first one. On the second dream I was facing east, there was a chain link fence in front of me, when a huge wave rose up, not as muddy as in my first dream, as I crouched down and grabbed the chain link fence, I remember thinking that the impact would probably rip my fingers off, thankfully I awoke again right before it hit me. In the third dream I was facing south when a huge wave rose again as before. The dream of the fourth wave came a couple of years later, I was facing west in the South Bay area of Los Angeles CA, looking at the San Pedro/Palos Verdes hill, when out of the Pacific ocean a huge, more massive wave than any of the others that I had dreamed before rose up. It was made of pure crystal-clear water, and just as beautiful as it was awesome. In this dream I did not fear, I did not crouch, and I didn’t wake up before the wave hit me, for even though I was very scared, I welcome that which was coming my way. The wave went over me and through me with great energy, but I was still standing, and as I looked around, all the houses and buildings were gone, and in their place, pools of living waters were drawing in the weak and the feeble to drink freely of it. In March of 1997, I had the privilege to travel to the Brownsville revival that was taking place in Pensacola Florida. For three marvelous days I witness the power of God moving upon thousands of people that were gathered there for that wonderful experience. We attended the Sunday morning service before we left that day and there was a guess speaker teaching that morning. He spoke about four spiritual waves that would hit from four different directions before the Lord returns for us. Can you just picture my jaw dropping as he started his message? He spoke about a revival that was taking place in Toronto, Canada, as the wave from the north, the revival in Pensacola as being the wave from the east, the revivals that were going on in South America, as the wave from the south, and get this, he spoke about a final outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was yet to come from the west. That was over sixteen years ago, and I knew that it was from the Lord, but as you know, we walk by faith and not by sight. The spiritual decline of the last few years, not only in the churches but in the nations as well, makes it hard for me to see how and where from that final revival that I am so certain, even today, that is going to come. But you know how the Lord works, just when we seem to have forgotten something that at one time seemed very important, the Lord is always there to remind us that His timing is not our timing, and that just because it has not happened yet, that it should be no reason for us to not keep looking up in excitement for what He has promised. A couple of days ago I read a prophecy that was given by a 90 year old woman in Norway, back in 1968, to an evangelist named Emanuel Minos when he came to her town to preach. The evangelist wrote down the prophecy as she told it to him, but he thought that it was so extreme that he kept it in a drawer and forgot about it. This is how her prophecy started: I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. Then, she mentioned four waves: This is part of what she saw in the first wave: There will be peace between the superpowers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. Remember that she spoke this in 1968 while the cold war was raging, and it raged on until 1989. There have been 24 years of peace between the superpowers of the east and west. This is part of what she saw in the second wave: A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity. Here is part of what she saw in the third wave: People will live together like married without being married...TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. This is some of what she saw for the fourth wave: I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war... All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one. I wrote some of what she saw in her vision and some of what I saw in my dreams, to show those of you that might have experienced something like what she or I’ve experienced, that even though our perspectives differ greatly, there is a common thread that unites the flow of the revelations. In her case she saw peace in the first wave, when the first seal was opened after Jesus rose from the dead, the spirit of antichrist was released which is still very much at work today to bring forth a false peace. In my first wave I saw extremely polluted waters/doctrine sneaking behind the church. That explains why in her second wave she saw unparallel lukewarmness and a falling away from true living Christianity, for they are the results of demonic doctrines introduced to the church. But the key point that I want to emphasize is in the fourth wave, for that is when the powers of the heavens are shaken, and the Lord is revealed, and from her perspective she saw the start of World War Three. Now let me show you two different perspectives from Scripture about that same event. Revelation 6:12-17 “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake (in the earth); and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon (remember our opening text) became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free men, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” From this perspective we see that the land of Israel has been invaded by an army of a confederacy that's lead by Gog, of the land of Magog, from the uttermost north, according to Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Most of the people that you see running for the bomb shelters in Revelation chapter six are about to be wiped out by the wrath of the Lamb as He returns to show Himself holy before the nations of the world, and to save the people and the nation of Israel from sure destruction. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” From Joel’s perspective, whom Peter quotes in Acts, we see that those who witness the supernatural destruction of this mighty army that has invaded Israel, will realize that the Lamb is real and that His judgments are true, and they will have an opportunity to repent before the great day of His wrath begins. One way to see the fourth wave is as that of the beginning of a war that will end the world as we know it. Another way is to see it as an opportunity for as many people as possible to call upon the name of the Lord and be delivered out of this world before the wrath of God is unleashed upon it, and its destruction made certain. I know that in my dream I did not fear the immensity of the fourth wave, for it brought with it a crystal-clear living waters for the purification of the soul, and it was made available to all those who were feeble and weak in body. Those who fear and partake of the Word of the Lord now, will not be afraid in the day when His fullness is revealed to them. If only the scoffers would repent before that day catches up to them. Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

Top of Page DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE Isaiah 46:3-4 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Those who go through the deliverance ministry, sometimes think that it is a one-time proposition because of the great results that they received after being delivered from a stronghold that held them back for so long. But in reality, deliverance, like salvation, is a lifelong process that involves every believer, even if they have not gone through ministry under a well-trained deliverance team. Not every believer has a stronghold in their lives so powerful that needs outside help in order for them to break loose from it. In this lesson I want to deal with the ministry of deliverance itself and the different kinds of strongholds that afflict so many of God’s children today. Deliverance and salvation are synonymous in the sense that we all need to be saved, and we all need to be delivered. Salvation saves us from our sins. Deliverance saves us from the consequences of our sins. There is a difference, and awareness of that difference can make all the difference in the world, pardon the pun. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sin is a double edge sword that cuts both ways, brings separation, and condemnation/consequences. Jesus, the two-edged sword Word of God who became flesh is faithful and just; faithful to forgive us our sins, and just to cleanse us from the consequences of our sins. We can never understand deliverance until we understand the two sides of sin. Let’s say that a person sins against another person, let’s call that sin a violation of trust. Let’s say that the offender repents and asks the offended person to forgive them and let us say that the offended person truly forgives them, it does not necessarily mean that the person that got hurt and forgave the trespasser, will be able to trust them again even if they wanted to, because within our nature we do not like to get hurt. During ministry, many a time I heard the injured party say to me that they cannot let go of the offense. They know that the Scriptures compels them to forgive the offender, yet the pain is so real to them that they cannot bring themselves to forgive because they equate it with having to put their trust on the offender only to get hurt all over again. Forgiving does not mean trusting in their flesh! Philippians 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” God does not put any confidence in the flesh and neither should we, but if we want to worship God in Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, we must be obedient to His Word. That is if we want to be delivered from our inabilities to trust again and be free from the fear of getting hurt. We need a basic understanding of how Jesus is faithful to forgive us, and how He is just to cleanse us from our repeated offenses that just won’t let us go, because of the stronghold that they have over our actions. It all begins with us putting our trust in the covenant! Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie (And He also swore that He would not change His mind 7:21), we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” In the covenant that allows Jesus to be faithful to forgive us our sins and just to cleanse us from their consequences, we find that the God who cannot lie swore on an oath that He would not change His mind. Here is what it means: when we forgive, we do so in the expectation that the offender will not hurt us anymore by violating our trust once again. If they continue to hurt us after we have truly forgiven them, we, rightly so, change our minds and break away from fellowship with them, and the offender bears the consequences of their sins against us by being deprived of our communion with them, for that might be the only way that we can keep them from hurting us. So that in our natural way of thinking we see our relationship with Jesus in the same frame of mind, since we keep sinning against His Word because of a stronghold in our lives, we derive that He changes His mind toward us and does not want to be around us anymore. Although our hurting others will keep people away from us, we can never drive Jesus away from us, because He promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He swore an oath that He would not change His mind. So that if we want to see ourselves in the way that Jesus sees us, we need to see those who continue to offend us as Jesus sees them. It is the spirit of Selfish Ambition against the spirit of Self Control! When someone hurts us, our natural response is, they hurt me. We hardly realize that the person hurting us is so hurt that they just simply hurt back others just so that in their minds they get even somehow, that is how the spirit of Selfish Ambition works. It is self-centered. If in the other hand we realize that the person hurting us is under the control of a spiritual stronghold, especially when they have repented in the past and come back and hurt us again, then our mind set can be one of Self Control. For our emphasis is now on the spiritual condition of the offender instead of our own hurt that we are experiencing by their actions against us. In spiritual warfare, once the spirit behind the offense is exposed, that lays the foundation for our victory over them. So that every time that we are offended we have an opportunity for a double victory. If we do not take the offense personal, we do not get hurt, for we say to ourselves, this is not about me...they are the ones that have a problem. Then we can direct our focus to the person that needs to be set free from their strongholds. We can do that by putting them on our prayer list and asking Jesus on a regular basis to bring deliverance into their lives, or if a door is opened for us to minister to them, because we did not take it personally when they hurt us. Then we can lead them into the truth that Jesus loves them and will never leave them no matter what, and if they see that demonstrated in us, they will know that it is for real. How do we identify strongholds? Selfish Ambition is always rooted in idolatry, and at the heart of idolatry is self-worship, for it cries this is all about Me. When we get offended it is because Me got in the way. But how can I keep from getting hurt you may ask? Next time that you get offended ask yourself this question, Who is offending Me, the person or a spirit within the person? If your answer is, it is the person, then it becomes personal to you, it also becomes a trap for your soul. For Jesus died for that person’s soul just as much as He died for your own soul, and now you find yourself embroiled in a dispute with a person that was created by God and in the image of God. But if your answer is, it is the spirit within that person that is offending me, then now you become one with Jesus in the indignation that one of His creatures has been taken captive by the devil to do his will. So that your prayer to Jesus would go something like this: Dear Lord Jesus, look what that spirit is doing to your child, please Lord set them free! We may not realize it, but that is probably one of the most powerful prayers that we will ever pray. For a prayer like that cannot come from us, but from the Spirit of God that dwells within us. Matthew 5:44-45 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” How can we be different if we behave like the rest of the world? In our opening Scripture God says that from the womb, even to our old age He carries us, and ends by telling us that He will deliver us. What that means is that whatever happened to us, no matter how bad, or how evil, how unthinkable, or how depraved, He will deliver us! We can on one hand, blame our past for our present circumstances and lash out at others from the midst of our wretched condition; on the other hand, we can use those past experiences as a platform to launch our deliverance mindset that in everything, all things always work out for our own good, because He loves us and He carries us to victory no matter what. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” All we have to do is reject Selfish Ambitions and embrace His spiritual fruit of Self Control.
