REPRIEVE
Minister Lisa Kane
17 November 2024

Objective:
To reveal how prayer, repentance, and choosing life over death bring about God’s intervention in nations and individuals, using Jonah’s calling and America’s recent election as parallels. The teaching emphasizes that the election outcome is not merely political but a spiritual reprieve granted by God, giving believers a renewed opportunity to intercede, walk in truth, and uphold righteousness in society.
Synopsis:
In this message, Lisa Kane draws from Jonah 1–3 and Deuteronomy 30 to show how God gives reprieves when His people pray and turn from sin. She compares Jonah’s reluctance to obey God’s command to preach in Nineveh with America’s divided political landscape, where lies, abortion, and ungodly agendas threatened the nation. Through prayer and intercession, God’s people sought His mercy, and the election of Donald Trump and JD Vance is presented as a spiritual reprieve—a pause in judgment and an opportunity for restoration.
Lisa highlights Jonah’s struggle, the sailors’ recognition of a spiritual storm, and Nineveh’s repentance as examples of how prayer and obedience shift outcomes. Likewise, America’s choice to reject lies and embrace life has delayed judgment and opened the door for God’s Spirit to move in the nation. This reprieve, however, is temporary; believers are urged not to become complacent but to continue interceding, repenting, and choosing life so that God’s covering remains.
The message closes with a call to recognize God’s sovereignty, remain vigilant in prayer, and live in alignment with His Word, knowing that choosing life and truth brings blessing, while rejecting lies and death invites destruction.
Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above:
Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. Lord, we bless that your word does not return void. And we thank you, Father God, for bringing remembrance to our minds and our hearts of what your word is saying and doing in our hearts and minds and our lives. And we pray that we get revelation out of this teaching that we can see it applied practically in the circumstances of our current world. And I thank you for the revelation of this word, Father God. And I thank you that it does not leave us, that we don't forget it, but that we apply it and remember it as we live a life of prayer for you. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Welcome. Welcome. I'm so glad that you can join us here today. We are uh very excited. We are the house of faith ministries and the we stand in faith with what we believe in. And so we do a lot of different kinds of teachings and today I'm calling this teaching reprieve. Let's go to our opening scripture and I'll explain what we're going to be talking about here shortly. I'm in Jonah chapter 1 and I will be in Jonah and Deuteronomy today uh if you have your Bible. So starting in verse 7 here. And they said everyone to his fellow, "Come and let us cast lots that we may know for whose cause this is evil is upon us." So they cast lots and the lot fell upon Jonah. So there's a there's a lot in this teaching, but I really want to show you what took place with the election and the results. And I'm going to show you how we've had reprieves in history and the result of that. So what I want to do is let's start here with what happened with the election. And so Trump won and he's going to be uh JD Vance and Trump are next president vice president for the next four years starting in January. So if you looked and watched the news outlets which was interesting and and comedic in some areas you will find that one side was saying it's done. It's a for sure thing and Trump's side you know yeah we got it in the bag. We were very hesitant to say that though because of what happened in 2020 where we went to bed thinking Trump had it in the bag and he didn't. We woke up and there was all these numbers and all these things that were counted in the middle of the night as they found suitcases under tables and what have you and being that it was such a close election that it ended up favoring Biden and Harris. Well, in this case, you know, you see the one side of the media talking about a landslide that was on the right side, then you have your left side where you're seeing uh these these people saying they had it in the bag. And I'm watching this media going, how can you say the same thing from two different viewpoints? Quite opposite. We have what's called a line of division in this nation. And why I want to teach us on teach on this is I want to show you what the power of prayer and what the power of unity being under the kingdom of God did for this election because I want you to see this was the hand of God moving here. He did it in such a way it was incredible. So even though those of us that were thinking on the right side that we were voting for Trump, we wanted Trump to win. We're very hesitant to say it was a landslide, but there were a few voices that did come out. Well, you know, it turned out it was a landslide. Not just a little landslide, but a landslide to the point of the popular vote just outweighed everybody. Anyways, so it was very interesting how this happened. So, in my own testimony, what I started doing uh probably about a year and a half ago is I started praying for the upcoming election. I prayed for our government. I forgave our government of its sins. I forgave the the people handling the elections of their sins. And as I did that, I also prayed and asked that God would bring in godly, righteous men and women who can come in and serve the people as if they're serving God. And and as you can see now, Trump has this he he really wants to make effective change in our government so that we can see righteousness stay within because we've seen evil come in. We've seen what evil does. Uh what is evil? Because some of you might be thinking, you think Trump is evil. Let's define it here for just a moment. Let's not define it based on what we think we already know. Let's define it on fact or action these actionable items that the current um government administration has done which is the Harris and Biden or Biden Harris administration versus what Trump and JD Vance are going to go do or what he's done even in 2016 with Mike Pence. So let's let's take a look at some facts here. What we know is that Camala Harris supported abortion and anyone if you go and talk to anybody who's worked in the field of abortion in the medical field, you will find that these people had no children. They could not have children because they're killing God's children. They could not be blessed with children until they repented and prayed and then God blessed them with children. But up until then, they could not have children. um they were desensitized to it until the Lord opened their eyes. I saw a testimony of a doctor. He says, "I didn't care what I was looking at or what I was doing." Then one day, all of a sudden, he cared. It was like the spirit moved in him and he got out of that real quick. By the way, to have a child, he had to adopt. So, you can you can connect all dots. It's a spiritual thing, which is what I'm going to be talking about here. I want you to see physical applications to the spiritual because that's what I'm wanting to teach on here. And this is why we have a reprieve right now um coming up for the next four years. Whereas Trump one, he loves Israel. If you took a look at the Biden Harris administration, they supported Israel, but they also supported Palestine. You cannot be one foot with God and one foot with the world. You will not stand. And God would rather spit you out because you're you're lukewarm to him. So he's going to vomit you out. that's scriptural in revelation. So that's how uh that's what Biden and Harris stood for. And then you come to Trump and you see a remarkable difference. Somebody who uh believes in people, somebody who supports Israel, somebody who has a heart of love for family. And if you look at his actions, he even said, you know, God brought me closer to him. You know, he had two assassination attempts on him, his life. and he got closer to God as a result. So, what we're seeing now is a door opening spiritually because we're closing off the hate, the the suffering, the choice of death to where you're going to see what the choice of life is like going forward. And I really want to define it. I want to show how it works. And I want to start with scripture because this isn't the first time this has happened. Now, I'm going to use Jonah today. There are other examples in scripture, but I'm going to walk with Jonah because I want you to see I when I began my prayer life, and I really, really took intercessory prayer very seriously. My walk changed with God. And there were things I did not want to pray for. And this is why I kind of want to stick with Jonah because Jonah did not want to pray. So let's look at that opening scripture. He said they're they're on a ship. So what's happening here with this opening scripture? So read the book of Jonah. It's only four chapters. I don't have enough time to bring it all here today, but I do want you to read it. He God told him to go to the city of Nineveh and preach to them. Call them out for their sin. Call them to repent. And Jonah's like, "Oh no, no, no." and he ran away and he got on a ship going to Tarsus and a hurricane hits. And so while on the ship, the people, the men there are like, "Wait a second. Let's find out who why the storm is." See, there's something here that they recognize. They recognize that this storm was unusual. You see, anytime you have to use the word unusual or weird, what is it that you're dealing with? It is a spiritual matter, but they didn't know who. Now, in their day, they didn't have a Holy Spirit or comforter to go talk to. So, they cast lots and the lots is what told them and led them in their direction. So, it landed to Jonah. So, they're asking Jonah, "Well, what's going on?" So, look at this. Um, so Jonah tells them, you know, this is his response. So then they said verse 8, then said they unto him, tell us we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us, what is thine occupation? Whence comest thou? What is thy country? And of what people art thou? So see, they realize, hey man, this problem is because of you. What's going on? Because you should know what's going on. By the way, anytime you're in the ministry of deliverance or anything, almost 99.9% of the time, that person knows what's going on on the inside of their body. They know. They may not want to tell you. They may want to shield it and cover it, but they know. Amen. So, here verse 9, this is Jonah. He says unto them, "I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land." Uhoh. Wait a minute. Who are you again? Look at their response in verse 10. Then were the men exceedingly afraid and said unto him, "Why hast thou done this?" For the men knew, they recognized that he fled from the presence of the Lord because he had told him. So, you know, Jonah confesses, "I'm a prophet. I work for the Lord and I'm running from him." And they're like, cuz see the God of Israel has a reputation at this point. And they're like, "No, no, not that. Please, not that." Kind of cracks me up. Verse 11. Then said they unto him, "What shall we do unto thee? What the sea may be that the sea may be calm unto us? For the sea wrought and was temper tempestuous." I will read these scriptures, right? giving giving but they're asking him what can we do to you so that everything can be right again because they know they recognize that some things aren't right look at verse 12 and he said to them take me up and cast me forth into the sea so shall the sea be calm un for you unto you for I know that for my sake this great tempest or hurricane whirlwind is upon you so he's saying I know this for my sake I know it's because of me because I'm running from the Lord but throw throw me into the sea. See, I think he has in his mindset he's going to die because he's disobeying the Lord. And he chooses that he chooses to die instead of life to set people free. I want you to catch this. This is very interesting. Nevertheless, the men rode hard to bring it to the land, but they could not for the sea rot wrough rot and was tempestuous against them. So, they didn't want to throw a man overboard. They didn't they recognized that's death. you're going to die. They didn't want that to happen. And so Jonah is saying, "You just got to do it." They try harder to fight against God. Now, notice God could have just flipped them all over, saved them, did whatever, but he's letting them work out the problem, keeping the pressure on. The hurricane is still going. It's not killing them, but they know they cannot get out of it until they deal with Jonah. Let's get into this. Verse 14, wherefore they cried. They cost they are accosting God. They're call crying out to the Lord, right? He says unto the Lord and said, "We beseech thee, oh Lord, we beseech thee. Let us not perish for this man's life and lay not upon us innocent blood. For thou, oh Lord, hast done as it pleased thee." See, now they're putting it all back on God. Because But notice what happened, though. They went to God.
So, with our election, what did Well, in my case, and I know I'm not the only one because God always has a remnant. In my case, I went to the Lord with the elections because I didn't want to see the same thing happen last time because, you know, I didn't know who would win. I I I don't think of Trump as a a pastor or a leader of the kind that is godly. He's got issues. But all of us have issues. And if we're willing to admit that, then we should be seeing Trump as just a man that can be there. But we see what he stands and represents. And then you see what Camala stood and represented. And you're just looking at the two going, "Wait, I do not support abortion at all. I am not going to sacrifice children unto the God Baal, which is what the Israelites did because that's that's wrong. God is a God about life and you're going to see that in the scriptures here. And so, you had a choice. Now, in this case, Jonah, he put himself in this situation. So, he set aside the man had a choice. I can keep fighting God, fighting God, fighting God. But they knew they would die. So they're making a choice. I'm going to go to God and I'm going to choose life. Lord, don't do what you need to do. Let this please you that we're coming to you. So verse 15, so they took up Jonah and cast him forth into the sea, and the sea ceased from her raging anger. The sea stopped. Soon as they threw Jonah overboard, boop, the sea got quiet. You want to talk about um a spiritual manifestation?
That's exactly what that was. But they had gone to God first. They were like, I don't want to die for killing a man that well believes in you. And so they threw him overboard. And there goes Jonah. And he gets swallowed by a big fish. So look at what the men reacted though um in verse 16. Then the men feared. They revered the Lord exceedingly and offered a sacrifice unto the Lord and made vows. Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Oh, how awful that had to have been. I don't I don't know. I think I would have been vomiting probably most of that time, if not all of that time, if I was in that situation. But here, you know, all it is is that God made a calling on to Jonah and said, "Go to Nineveh." And Jonah decided to reject that message and run away. Well, God said, "I don't know where you're going. You can't get that far from me." And he brought him back into the belly of a whale. Well, interesting enough though, Jonah does something while he's in there. He uh this is we're in chapter 2:es 1 and two now. Then Jonah prayed. Look at this. He judge he he judged the situation. He interceded. He made supplication unto the Lord his God out of the fish's belly and said, "I cried by reason of mine affliction, my tightness unto the Lord." And he heard me. Out of the belly of hell, cried I, and thou heardest my voice. You see, God is going to follow you wherever you go. So Jonah prays and let's jump down to verse 7 when he says, "When my soul fainted or it hid I hid myself within me, I remembered I mentioned the Lord and my prayer came in unto thee into thine holy temple. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy." Lying vanities. Let's talk about this for just a bit m a moment here. That was the thing about Camala, too. Everything she said was lies. Every media outlet that promoted her promoted lies calling Trump a Hitler fascist. Uh they did not like the Madison Square Garden rally and yet it was filled with Jewish people and they called it a Nazi engagement. It was an outright boldfaced lie. and they kept saying it over and over again. And if you were watching Fox News, they like to be fair and balanced. I don't think they're the greatest either, but I did notice that they're the ones that were saying showing the lies and people were believing the lies. So, when you're sticking when you're looking at a situation, you have to evaluate like the men on the ship of Jonah, what is going on? and they went to the Lord. Then they did what they had to do to find out. They questioned the situation just like you would do in deliverance ministry. You question the person because they know what's going on. And the Holy Spirit's going to guide and direct you. You will see and know the lies because you went to God who is our truth. That's our He's faithful and true. Jesus is called faithful and true in Revelation. That's what's written on his pants as he's uh on his white horse. Faithful and true. So you had all of these lies. Who is the father of lies? Satan. So immediately when Camala was going for abortion, supporting abortion and portraying lies and kept repeating the lies over and over again. I recognized that that was evil. That's of the devil. So then what did I have to do then? I had to look at the other side because let's let's talk about this for just a moment. There is no gray area and there is no choosing of the evil side here. Trump did represent life, complete life. His wife Melania may not, but Trump is about life. He wants children to live. He is definitely not about abortion and he has nothing to do with that. On top of that, every time he spoke, there was factual evidence to support it. And the people on the other side denounced it, said it was a lie. I mean, it was just as clear as clear can be. You are seeing two sides of the story. So Jonah coming to Nineveh, he is supposed to represent the righteous of God and he's going to Nineveh. He wants to accuse them and he wants to bring them down. He doesn't want them saved because he's angry. He's hurt. He is a man of God, but he's angry. He's hurt. How many of you are angry or hurt because Trump won because you don't like him? Because he's not the kind of guy you would choose to live for. Well, I'm gonna tell you right now, I don't want to live in shoes for Camala, who is death and of the devil herself, because she lied. And the lies come from Satan. The body, the the Bible tells us that lies, who's the father of lies? Satan. I don't choose Satan, which means, yeah, I gotta choose this other guy, but I'm praying for him to be that godly, righteous man that's going to step in and do what he needs to do. So, I pull myself back and I go straight to the Lord. Where where do I go? And if you had asked me months ago, I wasn't sure if I was going to vote for Trump. I wasn't voting for Camala either way, but I did not know who I was going to vote for until the revelation started coming in, which is the Lord speaking to my heart and exposing the lies. As soon as I started seeing the lies, I was like, "Oh, now I get it, Lord." So, here we have a man who is barely born again, but he is born again. It is a man. Yes. We weren't voting for a pastor. We weren't voting for a messiah. We were voting for someone that wasn't following the father of lies. That's who Trump is. And here Jonah filled with anger. I'm man of God. So there are many of you who are filled with anger. You are raging. You are full of hate. What did God do though? He got Jonah into the belly of the whale and he isolated him until what did Jonah do then? Pray. And once he started praying, that is exactly when God started moving on Jonah's behalf. Let's go to his prayer. Let's start here. Um, uh, we're now verse 9 in chapter 2. But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving. In other words, he made his confession. I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. That word salvation is something saved. Deliverance, victory, prosperity, health. And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah unto the dry land. See, it took Jonah having to come before the Lord and pray so that we can see this change and this deliverance. Now, why do I call this message a reprieve? Because remember, this is going to be the second time Trump is going into office. We saw what he did the first term, then we just saw these last four years. I don't care what anybody says. anybody playing paying $7 a tub for butter or $6 to $7 a gallon of gas. Uh California and New Yorkans are are dealing with that. And uh you you saw your cost increase and the Biden administration, Biden economics are telling you just suck it up. We need the money. But look at also here is another thing that got exposed by Kamla. She raised a billion dollars and she's still in debt because of all of the actors and actresses, the Hollywood elitist that she had promoting her that she had to pay for their vote or pay for the public support, I should say. Whether they voted for her or not in secret is a whole another ball game. But I'm telling you, she did not know how to manage money. and they were in office the last four years and they made it just worse for the American people. American people have been suffering under her. Well, guess what? We have a reprieve coming in that is going to change everything because we went to the Lord and prayed. So, we have a second chance. Look at this in Jonah 3 verse 1 through3. And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time. That word second is double. You think that Trump did good his four years, which by the way he did. He didn't quite know what he was doing and there were a lot of people working against him on the inside. But notice what he's doing now differently. Look at the cabinet members he's picking. Oh, there is change coming. We have a reprieve from the evil wickedness that's been upon us these last four years. And we're gonna see a relief. Watch this. Arise, go. So now Jonah is being told a second time. Arise, go into Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. Preach is to call out uh preaching proclamation. So Jonah arose and went into Nineveh according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of 3 days journey. So Nineveh is a huge city. Nineveh. It was a very evil, wicked city. Um I believe Jonah's father was killed by Nineveh. So this is one of the reasons why he was so bitter and hateful for this. Let's continue on. Says in verse 5, so the people in Nineveh believed. So see Jonah went and preached. Now there's a lot of things that could have happened here. Jonah was in the belly of the whale for three days and his skin he probably turned out and looked very white as a ghost. His testimony is probably going before him. But look at this. The people of Nineveh believed God, proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth from the greatest of them, even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from from him and covered him with sackcloth and sat in ashes. They repented. Not what Jonah was hoping for, but they did repent. Verse nine, who can tell? This is what they're saying. Who can tell if God will turn and repent? be sorry, breathe strongly, sigh avenge, and turn away from his fierce anger that we perish. And God saw their works that they turned from their evil way. And God repented of the evil that he had said that he would do unto them, and he did it not. So God decided not to destroy them because they repented
because America has voted in goodness and not death. We chose life. We we didn't choose death. Because we did that, we have a reprieve. God is not going to be coming after this nation. Yes, God would have if we keep voting, especially if we keep voting in abortion and we keep trying to get it in all the states now that it's at a a state level versus a national level. I'm going tell you right now, you need to repent. You need to choose life. We are seeing a reprieve. So now, the destruction is not coming. Does this change and effect end time prophecy? Well, from our perspective, since we're not God and we're we're guessing as to how he's going to do it, where is he going to do? When is it going to start? We're taking all these pot shots and teaching it. But God is saying, I can do anything I want. Especially if you repent, you keep repenting. God adjusts everything. That is God. Now, how do I know that to choose life and not death is a principle of the word of God that we should be following that America just voted in? Let's go to Deuteronomy 30 19 and 20. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both thou and thy seed may live, that thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice. Then thou thou mayest cleave unto him, for he is thy life, and the length of thy days, that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord Lord swear unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob to give them. This is a principle that we have. And the majority of America finally said, "I'm voting for life." Now, they may not have done it for that particular reason, but they did come away from they recognize the father of lies. They recognize evil. They recognize the devil. So I come here not just to say that we have this reprieve for four years but to see how prayer intervened interceded here because I know I wasn't the only one praying for the elections. I wasn't the only one praying for our government. I've been praying for salvation. I've been atoning for them as a priestess going and just putting my feet in their shoes, lifting their hands with mine and saying, "Lord, forgive us of our sins." And now we get to see what a move of godly righteousness will do. And I'm gonna say this, I believe the covering that the evil covering that's been over us is now removed. We're going to see a whole lot more of the spirit of God moving in our individual lives and as a nation corporately. This is a time where we need to be praying. We need to be interceding. And don't stop just because we got this reprieve, but be prepared that it is a reprieve. It is temporary because we're going to have to get a new president in four years. We need to just remember and recognize what the father of lies is looking like and what he's about, the evil, and then looking at what our God of light is and who is full of life and gives us life and life abundantly. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word and we thank you for the reprieve that you've given us, Father God. Lord, work in our hearts and our minds that we continue to pray that we continue to intercede for our nation and for the upcoming elections again in two to four years. We Lord, we just come before you and know that you are God. We know that you're in control and that you're going to show us your word and reveal the mysteries to those of us who choose to spend time with you interceding on behalf of those around us. Lord, I pray that you bring up more people to intercede and then show them who you are. We love you, praise you, worship you, and honor you for you are mighty and great. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye.
