  • KINGS AND PRIESTS | HoFM House of Faith Ministries

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Revelation 1:6 “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” Top of Page KINGS AND PRIESTS Revelation 1:6 “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” From the beginning of time God made it clear to His creation that there are two distinct levels of authority given to man; physical authority and spiritual authority. From the beginning of time fallen man made it clear to the creation that he cannot handle both powers without falling prey to the spirit of pride, the pride that rises up when this combined authority is given to a fallen human man. You might have heard this human saying: Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The present history of the nations reveal the scars caused by madmen who were given too much power and fell into pride, and before their fall, they took along with them millions of lives and caused untold sufferings. As we study the Old Testament we see this power divided, not only in the way the kings of Israel and Judah ruled, but also in the way secular rulers governed their kingdoms; all kings availed themselves of the counsel of spiritual advisers called priests or seers. The reason why kings needed spiritual counsel was because God deprived them of spiritual revelation as long as they ruled as kings, thereby separating their physical power from the spiritual power. In other words, they had to depend on the judgment of somebody else in order to avail themselves of spiritual revelation. Exodus 28:30 “And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim (Lights and the Perfections), and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment (decision making tools) of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.” When God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt to give them their own land, He made provisions for them as to how their leaders were to handle both of these powers after they became a nation. The Urim and the Thummim were placed on the breastplate that the priest was to wear before he went into the Lord’s Presence, along with the twelve stones that represented each one of the tribes of Israel. The function of these two stones was to ask the Lord for guidance and direction in both physical and spiritual matters. That way, they could be certain that when the Lord answered them, that they had received perfect light or complete enlightenment as how to precede in any given matter. 1 Samuel 28:6 “And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.” It was not long after Israel became a nation, that they wanted to be ruled by a king like the other nations. They did not like the way that God had set up their government, for at that time they were ruled by priests, judges, and prophets. God had divided the power of their leaders to keep them from becoming dictators who imposed their own will over God’s people. Saul, who was their first king, violated this separation of powers that God had set up to protect Israel from oppression, and thereby, Saul lost his ability to receive direction from God. This lesson is about the interactions between spiritual and physical authority, the restrictions that God placed between them and why, and how God has restored back to the Man Jesus, all spiritual and physical authority, and how this dual authority has been made available to all of us who are believers of the resurrected Christ. Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth (physical and spiritual).’” Before the flood of Noah’s day, interactions between the spiritual realm and physical realm were common, which led to the corruption of the entire human race, except for Noah and his children. After the destruction of the entire human race—except for the eight souls that God spared— God separated man’s ability to rule in both, the physical and spiritual realms through one man. After Nimrod lead a rebellion and built a tower to reach to the heavens, God extended the separation to include the common language of men so as to frustrate man’s ability to operate in both realms singularly. Is not that God does not want man to have rule over both realms, but rather to protect mankind from the dangers that the abuse of such great power ushers into society, when fallen men are empowered by them. Genesis 14:17-18 “And the king of Sodom went out to meet him (Abraham) at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.” Abraham went to war in order to rescue his nephew Lot, who had been taken captive by an invading army. In his victory, Abraham also gained all the peoples that had been taken captive along with Lot. As Abraham returns with the spoils, he is met by the king of Sodom and the king of Salem in a place called the King’s Valley. What happened next determined the future of Abraham and the covenant that God made with him afterwards. As we look at it from the spiritual perspective, we notice that Abraham became a king—one who wields physical authority—by defeating other kings and taking the spoil away from them. As Abraham arrives to the Valley of the Kings, he is acknowledged by two other kings. The king of Sodom who was himself defeated by the kings that Abraham had just defeated, tells Abraham to keep all the spoils, and just return his people to him that had been taken captive by the invading army. He simply recognized the fact that Abraham was a greater king than he was. The other king is Melchizedek who offers Abraham bread and wine, which are the implements of a covenant. God gave Abraham a choice that day, when he ascended into the King’s Valley—between spiritual authority and physical authority—Abraham had to choose between becoming a king or a priest. Notice that Melchizedek was not only king of Salem, but he was also priest of the Most High God. Genesis 14:22-23 “But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth (the Possessor of all physical and spiritual authority), that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, “I have made Abram rich”.’” Two great things happened that day; first, Abram who was a spiritual man, recognized the division that God had set between physical and spiritual authority, and the fact that he could not have both. Secondly, he was quick to recognize that God was giving him a choice between the physical gains that he had earned in battle—gains which passes away—and a spiritual covenant of grace that endures forever. Romans 4:1-3 “What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? ‘Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’” The reason king Saul did not receive an answer from God when he inquired of the Lord, was because he took it upon himself to offer sacrifices to God, which is the ministry of the priesthood, thereby violating the separation of powers that God had ordained between spiritual and physical authority. Looking at the big picture, when God ordained spiritual authority that He established for the nations are usurped by those who rule over the physical realm, the blessings of God upon that nation dries up. As the Judeo-Christian principles upon which many of the western nations were established are replaced by the godless doctrines of secular humanism, the decline of western civilization increases to the point to where the rule of law becomes a choice that lawless leaders make. In the United States, the secular humanist have fought long and hard to remove any vestige of the Judeo-Christian principles upon which our founding fathers anchored the moral values and virtues that should govern our nation. We can measure the decline of our nation’s power and influence by the quantity of the moral values and virtues that it has rejected. We know that the secular humanist movement against the principles established by our founding fathers have succeeded by the fact that instead of receiving honorable decisions from our leaders that benefit the people, we get nothing but lies and deception from them. Looking at it from the individual point of view, we can see that for those of us who are in Christ, it has been granted to us to operate in the power of both, the physical and the spiritual realms. Ephesians 2:14-16 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation (between spiritual and physical power), having abolished in His flesh (Jesus is the only perfect human who cannot be corrupted by absolute power) the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.” What is the difference between us and those in the Old Testament? The cross! One cannot become a follower of Jesus unless we first, with Him, bear our very own cross. Death to self is the key that opens the door that allows us access to the united spiritual and physical power. Ephesians 2:18 “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” Those of us who have taken our infirmities and mortality to the cross of Jesus, we have the spiritual and the physical power that binds us together as a nation out of the many nations, for the deliverance of the nations. In the natural, the godless and their godlessness seems to be advancing, but in reality, by the decline that their godless deeds produce, the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is made clearer and clearer to those who were fooled before into believing their dead humanistic doctrines. This is what Jesus said after He told us that all power in heaven and on earth had been given to Him, and this is what we should do in the face of all this godlessness that is going on, here is the antidote to all their lies: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. • THE WORK OF GOD | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” Top of Page THE WORK OF GOD John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” Perhaps the greatest disagreement between the Bible and today’s science is the import and position of man within the creation. As we look out into the vastness of deep space, and see the enormity of the cosmos, and as we try to fathom the distances that we cannot comprehend, it is easy for us to see mankind as rather irrelevant within the immensity of the creation, but we are not the first to feel that way. Psalm 8:3-4 “When I consider Your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit (give attention to or care for) him?” If we consider humanity by its size, or percentage, in relation with the rest of creation it is easy to see how one could ask the question, What is man? We could also ask the question, what is gold? Or what are diamonds? Don’t we move tons and tons of ore from deep out of the ground in order to extract a miniscule percentage of that which is very valuable to society? After all we move mountains to extract piles, as long as the commodity that we are seeking pays the cost of the investment and produces a profit in return. Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” The answer to the question what is man in the eyes of God? Is that we are extremely rare, in relation with the vastness of the creation, and therefore very valuable to Him. Science has spent and continues to spend incredulous amounts of money and effort to find life, any kind of life, somewhere in the universe to prove that we are not as rare and therefore not as valuable to God as the Bible teaches that we are. Why is that? In order to answer that question, we need to understand the difference between profit/worth, and worthlessness. If science could prove somehow that man was not created after God’s image, then they can reason that there is nothing that it is owed to God by man, if we just evolved. If you find something extremely valuable by the curve side, can you assume that it has no owner and thereby take it for yourself? That is why, I believe, science devalues human life by the teaching of evolution, so that they can take credit and own it if you will, we made ourselves this smart they say, without God, and by doing that they devalue human life to the point that ruthless dictators, religious zealots, and roving gangs, can continue to murder and destroy the beauty of human life without the feeling of owing anything for their crimes. You cannot have deliverance until you renounce worthlessness. The world system promotes human worthlessness so that they can control the masses, a human who values his or her own life, will not give themselves over to be exploited by others as easily. Philemon 10-11 “I appeal to you for my son Onesimus (worthless), whom I have begotten while in my chains, who once was unprofitable (worthless) to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.” Onesimus was a runaway slave that once belonged to Philemon who fled to Rome where he was converted under Paul’s ministry. Remember our opening Scripture where it declared that the work of God is for us humans to believe in Jesus whom God sent? Paul declares that the once worthless slave, who owed his name to the fact that he was a bad investment for his owner, after receiving Christ as his savior has now become profitable not just to Paul who led him to the Lord, but to Philemon as well, for now he is not a slave anymore to him, but a brother in the Lord who is profitable to all. Here is how the Lord teaches us to be profitable. Isaiah 48:18 “Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness (value) like the waves of the sea.” What makes us so valuable to God is the price that Jesus paid to redeem us from our sins. God commands us to believe in Jesus for that is the only way that we can ever become profitable, to us, to others, and to God. That is why the ministry of deliverance is so effective, for it is a tool that God uses to remove the spirit of worthlessness from those who accept Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord, and that God also uses to fill them with a brand new purpose for their lives, which they now live in service to others as unto the Lord. 1 Samuel 1:16 “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked (daughter of Belial/worthlessness) woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” Eli, the high priest, thought that Hannah was drunk as she was pouring her heart before God because she was barren and thereby considered worthless by many, when Eli accused her of being drunk, she cried out what in our present-day vernacular would be, I am not worthless! In a society that did not considered woman too highly, and faced with the fact that she was barren and therefore worthless to her husband’s progeny, accused by the priest of being drunk in church, yet this courageous woman dared to believe in a God who values human life, and offered Him the seed of her womb that was empty in the natural, but that by faith was so full of life. You see my friends, all that God needs in the natural is an empty womb, or an empty heart, but only if they fill their emptiness with the Spirit of Truth and thereby their void is filled with faith in the One who always keeps His promises. Once she cried out, I am not worthless, the high priest had no choice but to bless her with the peace of God, that Jesus promises to all who believe. 1 Samuel 1:17 “Then Eli answered and said, ‘Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.’” She went on to conceive and bore a son whom she lent to the Lord for life, she named him Samuel, and after that she had more children that the Lord blessed her with and that she raised herself. In her prayer of exaltation to the Lord she said this: 1 Samuel 2:1 “...My heart rejoices in the Lord; my horn (strength) is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation (deliverance).” Do you want to rid yourself once and for all of the spirit of worthlessness? You can do so right now, but there is the work of God that you will have to do: you are going to have to believe in Him whom He sent. Here are four prayers that you can pray. First you make Jesus your Savior, then you make Him Lord over your life, then you enter into a covenant with Him, a covenant to serve Him for the rest of your life. Then pray the prayer that breaks generational curses and get rid of worthlessness once and for all. All you need to bring is a broken spirit and a contrite heart, and God will fill you with His peace and will guide your steps forevermore. COVENANT OF SALVATION This prayer is to make Jesus your savior. Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Prayer (say this out loud): Father in heaven I confess Jesus as my Lord and savior and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I believe that now I am born again, in accordance to your word. Amen! COVENANT OF SURRENDER This prayer is to make Jesus Lord over your life. II Timothy 2:19-21 “Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’ and, ‘Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.’ In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” Prayer (say this out loud): Lord Jesus I belong to you and I commit myself to turn away from wickedness. Lord search me to see if there be any wicked thing in me. Expose and remove everything in my life that will hinder you from total lordship over my life. Grant me the strength dear Lord Jesus to endure the purification fire. I pray that through your testing you will find in me, genuine faith. Amen! THE SERVANT’S COVENANT This is prayer is a petition to become a humble servant. John 12:26 “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” Prayer (say this out loud): Father in heaven I surrender all positions in life to you, in order to become Jesus’ faithful servant and to follow Him. This body is not my own, but it has been purchased with the blood of Jesus. I want to be in your perfect will Lord Jesus, let everything that I do bring glory and honor to you dear Lord. Teach me to be humble, train me to be your faithful servant. Amen! PRAYER TO REMOVE GENERATIONAL CURSES Prayer (say this out loud): Our Father who are in heaven, creator of heaven and earth, God the judge of all; in the name of Jesus your only Son I enter into Your heavenly court and publicly repent of all of my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness in the Name of Jesus. Apply dear Lord I pray, the atoning blood of Jesus over all the sins in my life and the sins in my ancestor’s life that resulted in a curse. I repent of all of our disobediences and rebellions committed against Your Word. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of perversion, lust, cheating, lying, adultery, fornication, mistreatment of others, uncleanness, filthiness, wantonness, lewdness, and every perverted thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of false religion, cults, reading of horoscopes, idolatry, witchcraft, divination, all occult involvements, seditions, heresies, sorcery, dissentions, and every demonic thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of indecision, compromise, hatred, contentions, envy, gossip, murder, hostility towards others, hostilities towards my self, ill will towards others, ill will towards my self, and every divisive thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of malfunction, failures, laziness, lack of responsibility, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, drunkenness, intoxication, addictions, dependencies, and every compromising thing that was connected to our fallen nature. According to 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Now that I’ve confessed all my sins, I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing from all my unrighteousness and the unrighteousness passed to me through the iniquity of all my ancestor’s. Deliver me Lord and cleanse me by the power of the blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I now take authority over the devil’s accusations against me. In accordance with the Word of God, I break and condemn any and every curse upon my life in the name of Jesus. I break all curses of poverty, lack, debt, destruction, sickness, death and vagabond. I break all curses on my marriage, family, children, and relationships. I break curses of rejection, pride, rebellion, lust, hurt, incest, rape, Ahab, Jezebel, fear, insanity, madness, and confusion. In the Name that is above every name, the Name of Jesus, I now break all curses affecting my finances, my mind, my sexual character, my emotions, my will, my intellect, and all my relationships. In the Name of Jesus I now break every hex, jinx, spell, and spoken curse over my life and my family’s life. I break every fetter, shackle, chain, cord, habit, and cycle that is the result of a curse. According to Galatians 3:13 I have been redeemed from the curse of the law by the sacrifice that Jesus offered on my behalf. Father in heaven I now exercise my faith in the blood that Jesus offered for my redemption, and I loose myself and my descendants from any and every curse. I claim forgiveness through the blood that Jesus offered for my sins and the sins of my fathers. All of my sins have been forgiven, so I now renounce all the works of Satan and their effect over my life, and my family’s lives, and I loose myself from every curse that came as a result of our disobedience and rebellion to the Word of God. I exercise my faith now in the Word of God: Romans 10:9-10, and I make confession with my mouth of the salvation, deliverance, healing and restoration that I believe in my heart is now mine, because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Therefore I confess that Abraham’s blessings are mine. I confess that I am blessed and not curse. I confess that I am the head and not the tail. I confess that I am above and not beneath. I confess that I am blessed coming in and going out. I confess that I am blessed by God, and what God has blessed cannot be curse. In the Name of Jesus and by the power of His shed blood, I now command spirits of Rejection, Hurt, Bitterness, Unforgiveness, Bondage, Torment, Death, Destruction, Suicide, Fear, Lust, Perversion, Mind Control, Witchcraft, Poverty, Lack, Debt, Confusion, Double-mindedness, Sickness, Infirmity, Pain, Divorce, Separation, Strife, Contention, Depression, Sadness, Loneliness, Self-Pity, Self-Destruction, Self-Rejection, Anger, Rage, Wrath, Anguish, Vagabond, Abuse, Addiction, Insanity, Worthlessness, and the rest to COME OUT NOW in the Name of Jesus my Deliverer, and be forever gone, because all of your rights to torment me and my family have now been removed. Dear Father in Heaven, in the Name of Jesus Your only begotten Son, I now thank you for setting me and making me free from every curse and from every unclean spirit that had operated in my life as a result of curses. Thank You Jesus! Amen. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • SPIRITUAL WARFARE BY PASTOR MARCOS | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Top of Page SPIRITUAL WARFARE Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Who could imagine that one simple verse of Scripture could pack so much truth. If you want a definition that will tell you the nuts and bolts of spiritual warfare, Jonah nailed it right on the head. There once a man that was brought to the altar where a well-known evangelist was praying for the people after a service and the man’s family told the evangelist that the family member they brought before him was troubled by a demon, the evangelist laid his hands on the man’s head and said: In the name of Jesus I command you to leave this man right now, to which the man that was being prayed for responded while pointing at his own head; you stay right there you hear. It was kind of funny when the evangelist told the story many years later; but in reality that is at the root of why so many Christians fail in their battles to conquer their demonic tormentors. All the spiritual warfare tools at your disposal are of no avail if your right hand is telling the enemy to leave, meanwhile your left hand is telling your enemy to stay. Jonah did not just stumble into this revelation by chance, it was revealed to him while dealing with the consequences of his disobedience to God. Jonah 2:2 “...I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice.” Jonah had some issues that he needed to work out, and probably the most pressing of his issues was that he did not see eye to eye what the will of God was for his life. He was called to be a prophet, and when God sent him on an assignment that he personally disagreed with, he decided to go on a different direction. But even in his disobedience there was something that Jonah knew that perhaps many believers today do not know. And that is when they are in open rebellion to the will of God for their lives, in reality what they are actually doing is getting deeper into idolatry and witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” The reason that Jonah said that those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs was because that is exactly what he had done; he had rejected the Word of the Lord for him, and just like it cost Saul his kingship it almost cost Jonah his life. The difference between Jonah and Saul was that Jonah understood what his sin of rebellion had caused and he repented, but as far as king Saul was concern even to his bitter end he consulted a witch in his search for God. The king could not tell the difference between light and darkness. Jonah 2:9 “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.” There are two crucial points that we need to learn if we are going to be successful in spiritual warfare: Number one is repentance. Once our stubbornness and rebellion are exposed, we need to offer the sweet sacrifice of repentance and thanksgiving to the real God, the God that is convicting us by pointing out to us our sin. The second point is that it behooves us to recognize that Salvation can only come from God. Now stay with me, there is something deeper here that we need to understand because this is not as simple as we think it to be. In the spiritual realm there are only two forces at work that war against one another, light and darkness. You may say, well that is easy. Not so, especially when the creatures of darkness can transform themselves into something that they are not, creatures of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” After reading those three verses we realize that spiritual warfare is not as easy as recognizing the difference between day and night, is it? But here is the key, in the end their work will always be one of rebellion against the Word of God. Once Jonah realized that it was not hard for him to understand that repentance was more than being sorry for his rebellion but that it also required him to become obedient to the call of God; after all obedience is better than sacrifice. Now let us examine how was it that Jonah got into his predicament, in other words, why did he disobey God’s plan for his life to begin with? Jonah 4:1-2 “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the Lord, and said, ‘Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.’” Here Jonah really gets into what was really bothering him; God had called him to intercede for some really bad people and was told to go and preach to them that God was about to destroy them for the evil that they were perpetrating. Jonah, knowing that God is a merciful God who is full of compassion, One who relents from doing harm, thought that if he preached and they repented, that God would forgive them, and Jonah did not want that to happen and that is the reason why he fled to begin with. Here is the point that we need to glean and it comes from God’s very own perspective, not Jonah’s; Spiritual Warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers! How can one be in the light of God’s mercy while wishing for the destruction of our fellow humans that walk in the darkness of this age? If God has been a merciful God to me, and He has, does He not want to show mercy also to my enemies who walk in darkness? What if He asks me to pray for those who have really hurt me? I know that He is a merciful God and that if I pray for them, and they repent, that He will forgive them immediately. But is that what I really want in my heart? Do I long for their pardon as much as God does? 1 John 2:9-10 “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now (still in darkness). He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him (has been set free from idolatry. Zephaniah 1:3).” 1 John 4:20 “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” So far the two aspects of spiritual warfare that we are discussing have to do with light and darkness. And the question that we pose is, if Satan and his ministers can transform themselves into creatures of light, how can we know whether we are walking in the light of God’s truth or abiding in the darkness of this world without even knowing it? And the answer is clear, if our focus is on the flesh, what transpires through the agency of man, then we are still in darkness. But if our focus is on the unseen, on what is taking place behind the curtains if you will, then we are poised to receive the revelation that comes to those who are abiding in the light of the truth of the Word of God. Let me bring this down to our present-day reality and try to explain why understanding spiritual warfare is so critical for us in the here and now. 1 Timothy 3:1, 5 “But know this, that in the last days (our present time) perilous times will come...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Here is what the light of the truth of the Word of God says, from such people that turn away. So that when it comes to spiritual warfare, people are not the cause of the problems that we are facing as it pertains to who our enemies are, but the people that deny the reality of the spiritual problems that we are facing, from them we are to stay away, simply because they represent the false light. You see if there is no hell, that means that there is no spiritual warfare, so that by hanging out with that crowd you are out of the game before it even starts. Jonah 1:9 “So he said to them, ‘I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.’” In chapter one Jonah is totally honest with his fellow shipmates about his circumstance and even tells them that they have to throw him overboard if they want to save their own lives. In the verse above he makes a bold declaration of who he is and of what he believes, it makes me wonder why was Jonah really fleeing from the will of God to begin with? Isaiah 36:20 “Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?” The king of Assyria was coming against Jerusalem one day, and he was bragging about his previous conquests and ended up insulting the Lord of Hosts. The king of Israel took those insulting words before the Lord and God sent an angel against the Assyrian camp and killed one hundred and eighty five thousand from his army in one night. The Assyrian king went back to Nineveh the capitol of Assyria where he was later killed. So that there was no love lost between these two people. So that the key for understanding spiritual warfare has to do with God’s timing. There is a time for war and there is a time for peace. Hanging around those who have already made up their minds before listening to the counsel of God in any given matter is a hindrance to those whose call is to battle against the forces of darkness that abide in the spiritual realm. Here are a few things that we should know about spiritual warfare: What is under God’s covering mercy today maybe under the wheels of God’s wrath tomorrow. That which is expected of us today may not be what is expected of us tomorrow. A life boat is only good when a ship is sinking, the rest of the time is an eye sore that occupies space. Real light will always expose the works of darkness. Knowing when it is God’s time for wrath or for mercy will insure that we do what is expected of us today, even if it is totally different than that which was expected from us yesterday. Knowing when a ministry ship is sinking or stuck on a sandbar will lead us inevitably to the life boat that will preserve us from spiritual harm. That is what walking in the light means, not stumbling over the works of darkness. If the essence of spiritual warfare is for me to rid myself of the things that hinder my walk with Jesus, so that I can fulfill His calling for my life, then knowing my position within His timing for my life is critical, especially if I am to know when I am ready from His perspective to either move, stay, or to advance into a previously unknown position that He wants me to occupy. Ephesians 1:17-18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Top of Page AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” If there is a mortal enemy to man of whom man is not aware of, it would have to be Neglect; and if that enemy had a partner in crime, it would have to be Complacency; and if they were headlining a Hollywood movie the title would be The Twin Killers. Someone once said that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. After officiating at a gravesite funeral for a deceased person that I did not know, as I walked by the grave markers I wondered how many of those buried there had died before fulfilling what God had destined them to be while on this earth. I guess what prompted my query was the fact that there were only a handful of people there as they laid her to rest, and I did not have much of a clue as to the life history of the elderly person we had just buried. Out of all the funerals that I officiated, that particular one always reminds me of the rapture for some reason. For as I was walking by the many gravesites the Lord revealed to me the reality of how many of us while on this earth neglect our fiduciary duties to life and become complacent about our many responsibilities to the Creator. Matthew 24:38-39 “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” In life we quickly learn that our actions always incur reactions, but the one lesson that it is harder to learn is that our inactions also have reactions, and usually they are unwanted negative reactions, but many a times we come to that realization just a little too late. Jesus makes very clear in His teachings that life is full of uncertainties. But the one area of life that I want to focus on today is in our responsibility before Him at His soon return. What does Jesus expect from us at His return? Matthew 25:14 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.” In the parable of the talents Jesus is clearly teaching about the responsibilities of those who have been saved and gifted with God’s many goods and their having to give an accounting before the Master upon His return. In the parable Jesus puts the emphasis in the multiplication of the talents and not on how many talents each of the servants were given originally. For those who multiplied their talents received the same reward regardless of how many talents they started with. Matthew 25:21, 23 “His lord said to him (the one who had received five talents), ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord’...His lord said to him (the one who had received two talents), ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” The only difference between the two is that the ones that were faithful are the ones that had been dead and were bodily resurrected at our Lord’s return, and the ones that have been faithful are the ones that are alive and rapture when our Lord returns, for they are still in the salvation process. But look at the fate of the one who failed to multiply, or at least increase the talent that he was given, for it was a horrible fate. Matthew 25:25-27 “‘And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours .’ But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.’” Jesus uses currency as an example for the lives of those who are His, remember how the parable began? The master called his own servants and delivered his goods to them, so that Jesus is not dealing here with unbelievers, but rather He is dealing with the believers at His return. Now the word wicked that Jesus uses for the servant that failed the master when He called him you wicked and lazy servant, is the same that He used earlier in reference to a believer that failed to forgive. Matthew 18:32-34 “Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.” Who are the torturers? The demons of fear and torment. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” What was it that Jesus told us that the wicked servant first said to the master? And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. This may come as a shock to some, but not all believers will be rapture! They will all be saved but not all will be taken up to be with Jesus when He first returns, some believers, if not many, will be turned over to the tormenting demons that will be released during the first five months of the Wrath of God upon the earth. Psalm 78:49 “He unleashed against them his hot anger, his wrath, indignation and hostility—a band of destroying angels.” So that in both cases, the servant that refused to forgive as he had been forgiven and the one who feared being accountable to the Master, neither of them had been made perfect in love, so that fear and torment will be the catalysts that God uses to perfect them into the kingdom. Fear and Torment will drive Neglect and Complacency out of the believers that refuse to be perfected in love! What is it then that Jesus expects from us at His return? Matthew 25:13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.” What does it mean to watch? I think it has to do with expectation; what are your expectations of Jesus as He returns? Is He coming to save you, or is He coming to judge you? What will His return be like? If you are complacent and neglectful about someone’s imminent visit, it would seem that you really do not care much about them. Your attitude may be that of, Well if I am not home when they happen to come, too bad. If the house is a mess when they come, who cares. That type of attitude implies that you own the house and that He is only a visitor, but if you are a believer you need to realize that He owns you and that He has invested into your life the gift of His life. He is not coming back to sit down and chit chat with you, He is coming back to claim the rewards from the gifts that He has invested in you and in your life. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Let me ask you this, if I may; Does your life transcend this life? Matthew 16:25 “For whosoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” What light am I suppose to shine? What does it mean to lose our lives for His sake? What is transcendence? Jesus invested His life into our lives so that our lives can transcend and become one with His life. And just like He gave up His natural life to obtain a higher physical/spiritual eternal life, so must we. There is no hope in this life of death outside of the resurrection from the dead into eternal physical and spiritual life. Now if the return of Christ completes the natural life that is totally surrendered to Him, a life that is dead to the things of this world and alive in the hope of the resurrection from the dead, then His return is the most important event in all of life, and just a hint that it may be nearer should cause us to focus more closely into His possible return in our day. What is the engine that drives you? What are the predominant thoughts that preoccupy your mind as you fall asleep every night? Do you think about those love ones that may not be ready when our Lord returns? Are you planning your strategy for when the skies turn dark and the unbelievers fear? Are you prepared to tell them that Jesus is coming and that if they call on His name they will be saved? Psalm 116:10 “I believed, therefore I spoke…” A light shines through us as the result of a fire that is burning within us. If the Lord is our passion, if His Word is our compass, and if we make our lives His life, living for that wonderful moment when He appears to take us away with Him that we may be like Him, then we have already transcended this present life and are more than ready to be rescued. John 21:15 “So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?’ He said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.’ He said to him, ‘Feed My lambs.’” The only thing outside of our preoccupation with His soon return, should be our preoccupation with feeding His sheep with the sincere milk of the Word of God, preparing them for our Lord’s soon return. Is not the grandeur of our destiny that we should be eager to attain, but rather, in the grandeur of His coming that we should be eager to not only participate, but also to prepare as many as we possible can to participate in it as well? 2 Corinthians 4:11 “For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • I HAVE CHOSEN | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) teaches choice is one of the most, if not the most radical concept that has ever been introduced to mankind. I know that many of us here in the west take this concept of choice for granted sometimes. Top of Page I HAVE CHOSEN Psalm 119:30 “I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.” Choice is one of the most, if not the most radical concept that has ever been introduced to mankind. I know that many of us here in the west take this concept of choice for granted sometimes. But if we take a sober look at the history of mankind, we will come to the conclusion that the majority of humanity never had much of a choice as far as to how they wanted to conduct their lives. Even today, there are many that are born in nations that refuse to give them a choice, be it freedom of movement, freedom of religion, or even, economic freedom. If you are born today into a religion that proclaims that to depart from such religion is a crime that is punishable by death, you clearly do not have much of a religious choice, that is, if you want to go on living. You would be surprise to know how many nations today forbid the right of their citizens to choose which God they want to worship. And if you are a Christian in certain parts of Iraq today, you will be forced to renounce Christ and convert to Islam, and if not, you will die, even if your family had lived in those areas as Christians for hundreds of years. That is the history of humanity in a nut shell, seems like there is always somebody who thinks that he knows what is better for everybody else, and for some reason they are the ones that end up with the power to lord it over everybody else. From a biblical perspective let us take a look as to where does the right to choose originate from. Genesis 2:16-17 “And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, ‘Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’” Even before Eve was created, the first man, who was created in the image of God, was given a choice; everything was made available to him except one, for he was forbidden to partake of the tree of dead. God is sovereign, that means that He does whatever He chooses to do. Adam was created in the image of God, so he was made a sovereign creature. The difference between Adam and God, is that God is Good, so that God can never choose to do wrong, however, even though Adam was made sovereign, he was also naked, that means that he had not yet been clothed with God’s eternal goodness and immortality, since he had not yet partaken of the tree of life, therefore he is forbidden to partake of that which can kill him. But if Adam partakes of the tree of life first, he makes the tree of death obsolete. For the tree of life offers to cover Adam with God’s goodness and immortality. Which by the way is what Jesus covers us with. Romans 13:12, 14 “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on (clothe ourselves with) the armor of light...But put on (cover ourselves with) the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” This is why when we are born again, that is Jesus becomes the covering for our nakedness, God considers us good and without sin. 1 John 3:9 “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed (Jesus our covering) remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” That is because as far as God is concerned, when we came before His throne and confessed our sins before Him, He killed us, for the soul that sins shall surely die. But since we came before His throne in the name of Jesus, the death of Jesus on the cross is imputed to us, and our sins are forgiven, and Jesus covers us with His goodness and His eternal life. But even after we become born again, we still have to make choices, for as long as we remain in our mortal bodies that we inherited from Adam, we will always be plagued by our propensity to sin. 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” So that from the spiritual perspective God only sees the atoning blood of Jesus when He looks at us, for His seed, God’s Son, remains in us, therefore we cannot sin. But from the physical perspective we still have to make choices, and wrong choices bring bad consequences. 1 John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light (here is our choice) as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” So that as born-again believers, the choices that we make will determine what our condition will be in any given circumstance. God already made His choice; He chose to love us, for He is love. He provided for us the cleansing agent, which is the blood of Jesus. Now it is up to us to either walk in the light, which is the revelation of His salvation to us, or we can choose to follow after the desires of our flesh, and fall into the other choice that God has made for those who reject His free offer of grace and salvation. Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore thus says the Lord: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother and everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the Lord— ‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.’” Isn’t it amazing that while the world is seeking to enslave men, and to deprive them of choice, and to keep them captive, God is in the business of freedom of choice. Even when enlightened men, those who should know better, for they have tasted of the freedom that comes from knowing God—turn their backs on God’s grace and love—it is their choice that God gives them the freedom to fall into, no matter how bad their choices are for them. In our opening text, the eight verses of Psalm 119, verses 25–32, correspond with the Hebrew letter Daleth, which means door. A door is a place of entrance, no one can be born again unless he first opens the door of his heart to let the Lord in. Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.” So that the choices that we make open doors through which we will have to transverse, whether we like it or not, so that it becomes very important that we understand where the doors lead that we open by the choices that we make. Psalm 119:25 “My soul clings to the dust; Revive me according to Your word.” We open the door to our Lord’s salvation when we come to the realization that we cannot save ourselves. My soul clings to the dust, so we seek the salvation that is prescribed in God’s Word. How does God Word say that we are to be saved? Psalm 119:26 “I have declare my ways (confessed my sins), and You answered me (You saved me); teach me Your statutes.” Why do we need to learn His statutes? Because our choices open doors, and now that we are saved we do not want to open doors that are not in our best interest. We want to make choices that align with the plans that He has for our lives. Revelation 3:7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens.’” We want the doors that the Lord opens to remain open, and we want the doors that the Lord closes to remain close. In order for that to happen we need to learn His statutes and make the choices that they prescribe. Psalm 119:27 “Make me understand the way of Your precepts; so shall I meditate on Your wonderful works.” Understanding is what we are trying to gain from this lesson. If we can be made vividly aware of the ill consequences of unwise choices, we would think twice before we make them. Do we really want liberty to fall to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine? I say that is not a liberty that I want. O Lord, please close that door and keep me as far away from it as possible! We can only pray that prayer with real faith if we are made aware, that is, we understand the perils that those wrong choices can bring into our lives. Psalm 119:28 “My soul melts from heaviness; strengthen me according to You word.” Imagine that! It seems like the psalmist knew a thing or two about wrong choices, his words seem to cry out, not my will O Lord, not my will, but according to Your Word! Psalm 119:29 “Remove from me the way of lying, and grant me Your law graciously.” A lie is always the perversion of truth. Since we desire the truth of His Word, we need to stay focus on His law, or Word of grace. It is not by works that we have done, but by His grace that we are saved! Psalm 119:31 “I cling to Your testimonies; O Lord, do not put me to shame!” Once the right choice was made in verse 30: I have chosen the way of truth, now we cling to His promised salvation, and as we do, we will not be put to shame. Psalm 119:32 “I will run the course of Your commandments, for You shall enlarge my heart.” What a beautiful promise we conclude with, a heart that is big enough to receive tremendous enlightenment, and yet, a heart that is able to remain humble and accessible to God at all times. I want to be like that! Don’t you? More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE END OF DAYS | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presentns a teaching on Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Top of Page THE END OF DAYS Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Throughout the history of mankind there has always been a group of people fascinated with the end of things, the end of days, and with the end of time. Maybe it is because we experience the death of things on a daily basis, we are not so much aware of it, those of us who live in modern cities that provide us with the comfort of buying things that have already been killed and packaged, but think back to earlier times. I remember when I was a kid growing up in Cuba, even though we lived over the ocean waters, for our house was built on stilts, we still raised chickens on the back deck of the house, and every time my mom was going to fix chicken for dinner one of them had to die. We kept live fish in the well tank of our boat that was tied to the front of the house, and every time that we were going to have fish for dinner, we went to the tank, got the fish out, killed it and cooked it. We did that with pigs and turkeys that we raised for special occasions as well, I even remember a goat that we raised once, it chewed through the wooden boards on the floor and fell through and ended up hanging itself on the chain that it had tied around its neck while its hind legs were dangling over the water. So that the experience of the cycles of life and death, beginning and endings, are well seated within our DNA. But how does the Bible define what we call the end of days, not just generally as of the end of the age, but our personal end as well? Psalm 39:4 “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am.” David’s prayer gives us great insight as to why we humans are either fascinated, fearful, or willfully indifferent, to the awareness of the end of things as we know them. How many times are we reminded of our mortality? How many times do we ignore it? At the heart of David’s prayer was the cognitive reality that to ignore our personal mortality reduces our ability to prepare ourselves, and our posterity, for the end of the age that will one day come upon the final generation of humans that will live to see that day. David strongly implies that knowing about his personal mortality as well as the duration of his days while here on the earth, would make him more sensitive to the frailty of life. Now here is the implication, it is extremely hard for us humans to really value human life if we are not fully aware of the value of our own life. How do we react to news that a flood or a landslide killed hundreds of people on a far away distant land? First thought that comes to mind is, those things are always happening to those people out there. How do we react when a tragedy like that happens in our own neck of the woods? New York city is still three thousand miles from where I lived in September 11, 2001 and yet I felt, and I still feel, like I was right there when that tragedy happened. Now why is that? Because when we are personally affected by an event that causes many lives to perish, their death becomes more real to us. And that is the idea that Psalm 39 is trying to convey to us. Listen to what it was that caused David to ask God to give him the revelation of: Make me to know my end. Psalm 39:2-3 “I was mute with silence, I held my peace (became indifferent) even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing (just thinking about it), the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue (took action).” Wow! What a powerful description of what moved him. First David said to himself, I am going to keep my mouth shut, I don’t care if it is good or bad, I’m just going to stay out of it. Isn’t that what so many of us do today? Society is going to hell in a hand basket all around us, so many are dying of drug overdose, so many others are shot dead on a daily basis, and well, we just feel so helpless that we tell ourselves to ignore it, for after all, there is nothing that we can really do about it, or so we feel. Then David said that his sorrow was stirred up, what was it that caused David’s sorrow to be moved? He said that while he was just sitting around thinking about the situation and doing nothing, the fire burned. There are two ways to interpret that, one is that while we sit around and muse and do nothing, the fire continuous to rage and consume all around us unopposed, inflicting a heavy toll on society. The other way to interpret that is, that while we are witnessing the heavy toll on life that our indifference is in some way aiding and abetting, it is what causes our inward fire to burn that moves us to do something. What David did was he prayed. Prayer is recognition that we ourselves are unable to change the situation by our own mortal means. It is amazing to me that David in his prayer did not ask God to give him strength to deal with the situation that he was too weak to handle, instead he asked God to reveal to him his weaknesses to the utter most, for this is what David say: That I may know how frail I am. This is so amazing, because it defies human logic. How is me knowing how weak in reality I really am is going to solve the situation? There is a Scripture parallel that applies here I believe, and it is found in the entire book of the prophet Habakkuk. Habakkuk 1:2-4 “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, ‘Violence!’ And you will not save. Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Habakkuk was a righteous Israelite man who lived among the sinful people of the nation of Israel of that time. He is praying to God, and he is asking God why He is not answering his prayer, Habakkuk tells God that he is even pointing out the wrongdoing that he sees when he cries out publicly, Violence! Back in Bible days it was customary to cry out publicly, or to publish, when something bad was happening that could affect those around them. In the case of a leprous person having to pass near anyone else that was not infected with leprosy, the victims of leprosy were required by law to cry out loudly, Unclean! Unclean! To warn those around then not to come in close contact with them. In the same manner when a sin was being perpetrated against another in the nation of Israel, it was required of the Israelites to expose the wrong doing publicly, and that is what Habakkuk is saying to God he did, to no avail. Then Habakkuk says this to God: Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? Basically, Habakkuk is saying, Lord if You are not going to answer my prayer of action against lawlessness, why then do you allow me to witness so much evil? After all, if you do not answer my prayer, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about the wrong that is all around me. However, God is trying to teach Habakkuk what David already knew and was teaching us on Psalm 39. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch—be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it was told you.” So, God takes the prophet Habakkuk into a vision of the near future and reveals to him what dreadful end the nation of Israel has coming because of all their sinfulness that they refused to repent from. Habakkuk is in shock when he witnesses first-hand what the utter devastation of all those around him will be. However what troubles him the most is the way in which God executes judgment on Israel. I guess Habakkuk expected some holy and righteous nation to be used by God to judge his faltering nation, but instead God uses a nation that is far worse, as far as sinfulness and cruelty is, than Israel ever was, to judge them. This is how God describes the nation that He will use to judge Israel for all their sinfulness that they have committed against Him. Habakkuk 1:7 “They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.” So that Habakkuk’s prayer changes in emphasis, instead of saying how bad the Israelites really are that lived all around him, now he is asking God how can you use a nation that is far worse than Israel could have ever been to judge us? And then this is what Habakkuk says: Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.” Then God takes Habakkuk into a vision of the future end of days, when the entire earth, along with all the nations, will be judged by God for all their ungodly acts that they have committed against Him. The experience is so traumatic that Habakkuk finally realizes that the judgments of God for the end of days are so completely dreadful, that he now understands how frail human life truly is, and instead of feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, or complaining about all the wrong that was all around him, instead he realizes that the only hope for all humans lies in God’s mercy. Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.” David’s prayer was: Make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. Notice how the prayer of Habakkuk mirrors what the prayer of David was, Revive Your work in the midst of the (my) years. I believe that there are no humans that have ever experienced how dreadful the judgments of the end of days are, and who have not prayed this prayer in earnest: Dear Lord, IN THE DAY OF YOUR WRATH, REMEMBER MERCY! We are living in the midst of dire and difficult days, to say the least, for lawlessness and perversion are rampant everywhere we look. But let our prayer emphasis change from, God look at all the evil that is all around us, when are You going to judge it? To the New Testament revelation that says, the more that sins abo unds, the more that the grace of God abounds. Let us see what is going on all around us as an opportunity to usher in the grace of God. And we can pray that prayer "in wrath remember mercy" sincerely, only if we have felt the heart of God in this matter. For our God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That is why Jesus went to the cross. • PRAY FOR MEDIA AND JOURNALISM | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) says prayer works. Say this prayer out loud for the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world. Top of Page Top of Page PRAY FOR MAINSTREAM MEDIA, MEDIA OUTLETS, AND JOURNALISTS Written by Minister Lisa Kane 12.31.23 SAY THIS PRAYER OUT LOUD: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world to Your throne room and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as them well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world; the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world, ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” Father God, I bless the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world, with open ears, eyes, hearts, and minds to see, hear, receive, and believe the living Word of God because you state in Mark 4:12 KJV “12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” I pray in hope that they see and perceive, hear and understand so they would believe in Jesus the Son of the living God! And Heavenly Father, I bless the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in the hearts of the people in the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists to forgive and reconcile the nation back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray that the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world are restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I also pray that past generations deceived by lies would be restored to the truth going forward. I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” manifests within the hearts of the mainstream media, media outlets, and journalists around the world. I pray that those who work in mainstream media, media outlets, and/or as a journalist that they will share truth and fact from the Bible. Declaring the Bible as truth and they are led by the Holy Spirit. I pray that the gifts of the Holy Hpirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God moves through each of us so that we know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen!
