Top of Page Mission Statement To live the reality of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a manner that: Death to the things of this world in our lives will be obvious to all, while we proclaim the life of Jesus Christ to every corner of the world; Beginning with the very corners of our world. Purpose To be found worthy of His calling at His soon return. Motto For He that promised is faithful. Luke 18:8 Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; may the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Greetings in the name of Jesus our redeemer. My name is Marcos Marrero, and this is what I believe: I believe that we ought to always thank God for sending Jesus, his only begotten Son to die for our sins. I believe that we ought to praise God always, for He did not leave his only begotten Son hanging on the cross or inside the grave. We ought to worship Him! The creator of the heavens and the earth, who raised Jesus from the dead, and has given Him a name that is above every name. Philippians 2:9-11 "Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." It is my intention for this web page to make this proclamation: The Word of God is the only TRUTH! Jesus, the messiah of Israel is the revelation of God's TRUTH! The Holy Spirit sanctifies every human who believes the TRUTH, as presented in the gospel of Jesus Christ. II Thessalonians 2:13-14 "But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ." I boldly proclaim that the same Jesus that was taken up to heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, creator of heaven and earth. Will soon return to this earth to set up His kingdom. I boldly proclaim that this same Jesus will judge both the living and the dead. Those who believe God's TRUTH as presented in the gospel of Jesus Christ will be rewarded with the crown of life, and will forever be with the Lord. But those who reject the TRUTH of the gospel of Jesus Christ will be dammed for eternity. II Thessalonians 2:12 "That they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness." I also believe that God will hold every believer accountable who does not strive to have the work of faith with power in their lives. II Thessalonians 1:11 "Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power." It is the demonstration of God's power through faith in the TRUTH of the Word of God, that will convict sinners of their error and cause them to cry out for our God's salvation. Luke 5:8 "When Simon Peter saw it, (the demonstration of God's miracle working power) he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying 'depart from me for I am a sinful man, O Lord!'" It is my desire to present to you in this web page the gospel of Jesus Christ in its true form. Free from the contamination of human fallacies. Knowing, even as I am writing this, that Jesus will hold me accountable for everything that I will be teaching here. James 3:1 "Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly." Lord Jesus! I dedicate this web page to you. I pray for your anointing and guidance. Let those who read its contents be led by your precious Holy Spirit to receive the promises of your abundant life. Amen.
- CHRIST IN YOU, THE MYSTERY | HoFM
Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS CHRIST IN YOU, THE MYSTERY. Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” In our previous lesson, Visible and Invisible, I commented that the number one rule in understanding how the physical and invisible creation interacts was The Word, for it is written: Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” So that not only do all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in God’s Word, but they also abide in The Word that became flesh! Colossians 2:9 “For in Him (The Word that became flesh: Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” So that according to our opening text, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord have residing within us already all these treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:10 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” But notice carefully how Paul describes it in our opening text, Christ in you the hope of glory. What that basically means is that a great gift has been given to all of us who believe, and that within all of us who believe in Christ, resides the potential to access those hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now from the scientific point of view what that means is that we, those of us who believe in Christ, have been given the power by faith in the name of Jesus to manipulate the basic elements that comprise all matter. So that when Paul writes to us that in Christ we have the hope of glory, what he means is that in Christ we have the grounds to expect the manifestation of that which is invisible to us, or another way of saying it, that which seems impossible to us in the natural. So that true faith is based on the real evidence of something that already exists in the invisible or spiritual realm called heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Scripture tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, Christ in us gives us the hope of accessing that healing that God has already released and loosed in heaven, to come to reality here in our physical confine if we can by faith release it here on the earth where it is needed. Why do these healings do not take place all the time? Why don’t they become a reality as they should on behalf of those of us who believe? Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Notice the phrase according to the basic principles. A basic principle is a foundational law that governs a realm. There are laws or principles that govern the physical realm, and there are laws or principles that govern the spiritual realm. In the physical or visible realm, the basic law that permeates everything is entropy, because in our physical world everything eventually dies, for all that is visible is passing away. In the spiritual invisible realm however the basic law that permeates everything is the law of life, which is the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die (entropy), even so in Christ all shall be made alive (deliverance from entropy, that is our blessed hope).” Those who operate according to the basic principles of the world cannot produce life, so that the healing that is needed does not come to pass on their behalf. However those who operate according to the basic principles of Christ, receive the healing needed to continue with a good and abundant life, for they are following the proper protocol. Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (the invisible spiritual realm), not on things on the earth (the visible physical realm).” Let us ask these two simple questions and then a third: where does sickness come from? And where do healings come from? Sickness comes from the past and healings come from the future age that is to come! Now let me ask one more question, where does the past and the future come together? The answer to the third question is in Christ, for He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He has borne our sicknesses and diseases, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities which is where all sicknesses came from, that answers the first question. Now here is the answer to the second question. Hebrews 6:5 “And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” Every healing that Jesus performed He brought from the future age that is to come; for it is written in Scripture that in the future every knee will bow and that every tongue will confess, that every eye will see Him, and that in Christ all shall be made alive. Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Now we understand from science that in the invisible world of sub-atomic particles which form all the things which are visible, that these sub-atomic particles exist in two different places at the same time, that is they transcend time and space. So that if our sicknesses are caused by past sins and iniquities that oppress us in the present, we can summon through the Word of God, the powers of the age to come and remedy whatever situation we face, if we dare to believe that with God nothing is impossible. Matthew 17:20 “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Now let us think about a literal mountain, if Jesus spoke to a high mountain and told it to move from here to someplace else, what would be the mechanics involved? Well we have an answer from nature! Every minute tons of water evaporate from the world’s oceans, move themselves away from there and travel to far away places where they come down as rain or snow, literally tons and tons of them fall back down to earth every minute somewhere in the world. What are the mountains made of? Sub-atomic particles that are held together by an invisible force, and in the same way that the sub-atomic particles that forms the waters that are in the oceans and are disbanded and made to fly away and then to come together again someplace else, the Word of the Lord has the same power to influence the dirt that forms the mountains or anything else, even the living things. Psalm 97:5 “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” What I am trying to do here is to encourage your hope in the Word of God, for the Word of God is a lot more real than anything that exists within our physical realm. The entire world system is designed to get people away from trusting in the hope of glory that we have in Christ, but if you are in Christ do not be cheated out of your inheritance in the light by going back into trusting in the basic principles of this world. Colossians 2:20 “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (things that perish with the using and which are not eternal like the promises of God are).” Back to Other Teachings

- BINDING AND LOOSING | HoFM House of Faith Ministries
Top of Page The Deliverance Ministry BINDING AND LOOSING Matthew 18:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Say what you will, but Jesus is clearly talking about the awesome power that He has given to everyone that believes in Him. What is this power, and how does it work? First we need to understand that this power is a spiritual power that transcends all physical limitations—that is the good news, the bad news is that since the nature of this power is spiritual, those who are carnally minded have no clue as to how it is to be implemented. Understanding how this power works, and how to implement it, will radically change the lives of every believer that masters the how-to of this awesome gift from God. Since the source of this power is spiritual, we need to have a working understanding of how spiritual energy is released. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (giving energy).” The source of all life giving energy is in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful (energy)…” The first rule of binding and loosing is that words must be spoken which are in agreement with the Word of God. A different rendering of our opening text is this: Whatever you bind on earth having been bound in heaven. This is the translation that many scholars of the original Greek believe is more accurate for this text. And it makes more sense, since we are called to enforce the Word of God here on this earth, and we know from Scripture that the Word of God is forever settled in heaven. So that whatever has already been settled in heaven is the very thing that we are to declare here on this earth. Which brings us to the nuts and bolts of this foundational principle. The disciples noticed that Jesus spent a lot of time in prayer and that His prayers were always answered. Which prompted them to ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. Luke 11:2 “So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The key to binding and loosing is in knowing what God’s will is in whatever situation we are praying for. For example, we know that God is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. If I am praying for someone’s salvation—be it a family member, a friend, or a foe—I can bind the spirit of unbelief that is hindering them from receiving the revelation knowledge that will bring them to God’s salvation. No body gets saved unless a believer is praying for them, but not everybody that is being prayed for gets saved, because of their unbelief. That is where binding the spirit of unbelief can make all the difference. When we pray for someone’s salvation, we are loosing the conviction of God’s Spirit over them so that they will realize that they have a need to be saved. But some people have been bound by an unbelieving spirit that does not allowed them to see their need. After we bind the spirit of unbelief that has them bound, they will be free to believe. If you have a love one, or even an enemy, for whose salvation you’ve prayed and nothing has happened yet, add to your prayer for their salvation this prayer for binding the spirit of unbelief over them: Pray this out loud: I bind, in the name of Jesus, the spirit of unbelief that is preventing (name the person that your are praying for) from receiving the conviction of the Holy Spirit that will allowed him/her to be saved. If God was willing to violate the free will that He has given to all mankind, we would not have to bind or loose anything. The devil is the deceiver—who comes in unawares—and steals man’s ability to receive God’s salvation by binding them with unclean spirits. But to those who have accepted the Word of Truth, power has been given to demolish all these demonic strongholds that keep people bound. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” The second rule of binding and loosing, is in the power of agreement, not just with the Word that is forever settled in heaven, but with one another who are like-minded in our beliefs as well. When we speak in agreement with the Word of God in heaven, we are enabled to bind and to loose things here on earth. But when we add the power of agreement with one another, Jesus is in our midst. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” It is obvious that the devil’s influence affects the masses as well as the individuals. So that as individuals we can pray binding and loosing over those who are within our sphere of influence, but as members of the church we can corporally pray for entire communities and even nations. How does it all works? Everything that God made, He made through the power of His spoken Word. Everything that exists today, it is maintained and sustained by the power of His spoken Word. Unlike animals, we humans were created with the ability to reason and to believe on that which is literal and which can be propagated through the spoken word. 2 Corinthians 4:13 “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” When we speak by faith in accordance with the written Word of God, we release the energy that is both able to restrain and to let go that which has already been settled in heaven according to the Word of God. First we need to know the written Word that applies to our circumstance, then we need to speak that Word that is in agreement with the heavenly testimony—by faith believing that as we do so—the energy needed to transform our circumstance has been properly allocated and will accomplish the task for which we sent it out. Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth: It shall not return to Me void, but is shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Notice how God is referring to the Word that goes forth from His mouth, that which He spoke; and also that sometimes it requires a process to take place before that which He spoke comes to pass, since prosperity is a process that sometimes takes time. When we by faith bind or loose anything in accordance with the Word of God, we need to rest in the fact that the energy has already been released and the process started, that will eventually bring about the desire results. Remember that we are dealing with spiritual entities when we are binding and loosing. Angels as well as demons are spiritual creatures whose none-physical bodies are made of energy and respond to the energy that governs them, which is the Word of God, and to those who by faith speak it. Jude 9 “Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you!’” Remember that it was through the Word, that God created everything that exists, be it physical or spiritual. So that everything must submit to the power of the Word of God, which resides in our Lord Jesus Christ.” John 16:24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy maybe full.” So that when we bind and we loose in the name of Jesus—by faith in His written Word—we are enforcing His Word over our physical realm, by exercising the dominion that Adam lost, but which Jesus has restored to us in His name, in this present age. The third rule of binding and losing has to do with us walking in the freedom that the forgiveness of our Lord has brought into our lives. Matthew 18:27 “Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.” Notice that at the point of salvation—delivered from a debt that we could not possibly pay—we were released, and enabled to release others that were in debt to us as well. Failure to release those who are indebted to us, puts us back into a place of bondage, powerless to free ourselves or others. Matthew 18:33-35 “Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Notice how our Lord brings it down to the very personal level of if each of you fail to do this. Let’s examine this closer, why does the penalty seem so harsh for one single violation of this principle? Remember that we are dealing with spiritual power that is given to us in order to restrain spiritual entities, it can in no way be used against or to control human people, but the demons that drive them. At the point of our salvation, the Lord forgave us all our trespasses and released us from all our sins. Then He gave us His name and the authority to bind and to loose spiritual entities on behalf of those who are still bound by the enemy. If we are not willing to forgive those who sinned against us, then we are still in the flesh, and not in the spirit. We have authority over nothing. Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes (through binding and loosing), in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Let us come in full agreement with the Word of God, let us speak by faith the word that binds the spirits and that looses the hindering darkness, and by all means make sure that we hold nothing against our humankind. - THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD | HoFM
Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD Mark 4:11 “And He said to them, ‘To you it has been given to know the mystery (secret or hidden truths) of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables.’” The word mystery appears in the King James version of the Bible twenty-two times, and five times in plural, mysteries, all twenty-seven times in the New Testament, the word mystery or mysteries does not appear in the Old Testament in the King James version of the Bible. The Hebrew alphabet consists of twenty-two letters, and it was believed by many of the Jewish Rabbis of old that God created the entire universe and everything that exists within it, with those twenty-two letters, since God spoke everything into existence. Five of those twenty-two letters in the Hebrew alphabet have what is called a final form, what that means is that whenever one of those five letters appears at the end of a Hebrew word, it changes its form. Psalm 119, for example, was written to give us insight into the meaning of each one of those letters, and to each one of those twenty-two letters in the Hebrew alphabet, eight verses have been dedicated by God in Psalm 119, to reveal the spiritual meaning of each one of those letters; that is why Psalm 119 has 176 verses, 22 X 8 = 176 And in many Bibles, you will see a Hebrew letter heading the eight verses that correspond to that letter in Psalm 119. Psalm 119:137 “Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments.” צ normal form ץ final form Verse 137 begins to describe the spiritual meaning of the eighteenth letter in the Hebrew alphabet; TSADDE which is one of the five that have a final form, in its normal form this letter looks like a man that is kneeling with his hands together and looking up, and praying to God, in the final form of this same letter, it changes to where it looks like the same man that is praying is now standing before God. The Hebrew letter TSADDE which is the equivalent of our letter R, in the Hebrew alphabet stands for righteousness, that is why verse 137 begins with the words, Righteous are You, O Lord, but if you look at the following words, and upright, it reveals the final form of the letter where the man praying to God is now standing in the upright position. Proverbs 12:7 “...But the house of the righteous will stand.” So that the spiritual meaning that this Hebrew letter conveys is that the righteous who now kneel and pray before God, will one day stand before God in the final day of judgment and give Him glory, for he trusted and loved the Word of God that made him righteous and pure before the Lord, and enabled him to stand before God. Psalm 119:140 “Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.” So that when we add the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet to the five letters that have final forms it adds up to twenty-seven . There are twenty-seven books in the New Testament where all the twenty-two hidden mystery and five final mysteries are revealed, isn’t that amazing! The first time where the word mystery appears in the KJV Bible, is in our opening text, and it is the only time that Jesus uses it. To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. Mystery = Secret or hidden truths. When Jesus was alone with those who were following Him, His disciples asked Him what was the meaning of the parable that He told everyone publicly, it was then that Jesus revealed to them that they now had the capacity of understanding the secrets or hidden truths that the Word of God came to reveal. What was it that made them different than the rest of the crowd? 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are (have to be) spiritually discerned.” Since no one can be born again unless he is born of the Spirit of God, those who are not born again cannot know the mysteries that Jesus the Word of God reveals to us, for it is required of us to have the Spirit of God dwelling inside of us in order for us to be able to know and understand these hidden truths that only the Holy Spirit can reveal. Mark 4:12 “So that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand; lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them.’” One can only become born again by been born of the Spirit of God, so that no one who is not born again is able to understand the mysteries or hidden truths without having the Holy Spirit reveal it to them. But for those of us who believe, access has been granted to us to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but yet, not every believer takes advantage of this privilege that has been granted to us in the New Testament, and we should. Romans 11:25 “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery…” How do I acquire insight into these truths that lay hidden within the Word of God? Romans 16:25 “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began.” The revelation of the mystery begins with the unveiling of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it does for us who believe. 1 Corinthians 2:7, 10 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory... But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” Obviously, you can see the potential for edification as we explore the meaning of all these secrets that have now been made available for all of us who believe, and I hope that this lesson will encourage you to search the benefits of knowing the revelation of these mysteries. But for the purpose of this lesson, I just want to deal with the revelation of two of these mysteries, for I believe that knowledge about them is crucial in order for us to gain understanding from God about these hidden truths. The Mystery of Lawlessness. The Mystery of Godliness. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness…” What is the mystery of lawlessness? Romans 7:19-21 “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law (this law is the mystery of lawlessness), that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.” The mystery of lawlessness resides in this fact: Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.” This law of sin and death is many times stronger than the law of gravity and just as persistent, for it never quits and it never gives up. But notice how Paul writes that in the flesh it is impossible to find how to perform the good that we desire to attain. So how do we attain the spiritual revelation that will enable us to do the right things that we should be doing? Let us look at the mystery of godliness again. 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.” Here is revelation; Jesus crucified His sinless flesh to the cross to make a place available for us to crucify our sinful flesh on His cross. Jesus was justified in the Spirit, so that those who crucify their sinful flesh to the cross can be made justified in their spirits, and able to avail themselves of the revelation of this mystery of godliness. Jesus was not only seen by angels, but His atoning sacrifice on the cross reverberated through all the demonic hierarchies reaching to hell itself, so that the power of lawlessness becomes neutered by the precious blood of Jesus that cries out of God’s heavenly temple: Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lamb! He was preached among the Gentiles to proclaim the fact that God is no respecter of persons, for all have sinned, therefore all can be saved by His precious Son’s atoning sacrifice. The world believed in Him, for He is God’s demonstration of love to the world. And He was taken up and received in glory, where He sits at the right hand of the Father, where He forever makes intercession for us, His treasured possessions. So, what do I do the next time that this mystery of lawlessness rises up against my flesh and causes me to feel like our next verse? Romans 7:24 “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? This is what we do, and this is what we say, and this is what we believe: I AM FREE FROM FAILURE! Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I AM FREE FROM WANT! Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” I AM FREE FROM FEAR! 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I AM FREE FROM DOUBT! Romans 12:3 “...As God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” I AM FREE FROM WEAKNESS! Psalm 27:1 “...The Lord is the strength of my life...” I AM FREE FROM THE POWER OF SATAN! 1 John 4:4 “...He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world.” I AM FREE FROM DEFEAT! 2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…” I AM FREE FROM IGNORANCE! 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” I AM FREE FROM SIN! 1 John 1:7 “...And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” I AM FREE FROM WORRY! 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” I AM FREE FROM BONDAGE! 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” I AM FREE FROM CONDEMNATION! Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” I know that the greatest mystery of all is that God loves us intensely, and why should He not love us, after all He created us for His pleasure. And we bring Him the greatest pleasure when we believe His Word above whatever our situation is. I AM DEAD TO SIN, FOR I AM ALIVE IN JESUS CHRIST! Back to Other Teachings
- TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE | HoFM
Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE Philippians 1:29 “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” In today’s Christian environment it almost feels like heresy to say that it has been granted to us, not only to believe in Him, but also the privilege of suffering for Him. In this lesson we will deal with the reason why God considers it a privilege when the followers of Jesus are allowed to suffer for His sake. Let us start with the basics; what is suffering for His sake? 1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” To suffer for Jesus’ sake is to suffer for doing good. But let us not gloss over the importance of suffering itself, for all of us suffer one way or another. Suffering always has to do with discipline, for those who suffer are trained by their sufferings. And it is part of the natural process as well, as children we are deprived of many of the things that we want until we learn how to use them properly. Now in the world, suffering, though it may bring some kind of discipline to the sufferers, it is usually the result of bad personal behavior, or due to the failures of the progenitors of those who are suffering. We can see that throughout the many nations of the world today. Those who are fortunate enough to be born in nations where the early fathers made sure that future generations would have better living conditions, by setting the right political and educational systems that would allow their descendants to be raised with the proper discipline to make things better, definitely suffer a lot less than those who are less fortunate. Those who are born in nations whose early fathers fostered hatred, division, and intolerance, whose aim was to regenerate their own bigotries after they were gone, and not what would be best for their descendants, suffer more due to the prejudices that they have inherited that keeps them from making the right choices. But this is where I believe that many Christians miss the true purpose for Christian suffering, for their understanding of suffering is based partly in where they were born. Those born on the west see suffering from a different perspective that those born in the east do, globally speaking. Christian suffering overrides whether one suffers for the lack of our ancestors discipline or because of it, it does not matter. Christian suffering is a different matter altogether and we need to understand that. 1 Peter 3:14 “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed…” The reason why Christians suffer is so that they can become partakers of the divine nature through their sufferings! That is the blessing. 2 Peter 1:3-4 “As (according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The divine nature is this: in Christ we are not of this world any longer! Let’s see if we can take a practical look at what Peter is trying to tell us. When Jesus was asked by Pilate if He was a king, Jesus answered that His kingdom was not of this world. Suffering for Christ’s sake prepares Christians for the kingdom that is to come, as it is written in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:12 “If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him…” KJV There is divine order in all of God’s creation, and that order is enforced by His divine power that governs everything in the creation in accordance with the laws of God. Suffering for Him and ruling with Him is one of those laws, if we suffer for Christ’s sake we do not suffer in vain! Being saved qualifies us to operate within the law of suffering for Him so that we can reign with Him, since in Him we have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now here is the process of suffering for His sake and becoming partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:5-9 “But also for this very reason (becoming partakers of the divine nature), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” Diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance (patience), godliness, brotherly kindness, love. All these are spiritual fruit that emanate from the anointing of the Holy Spirit that covers us. And just like the olives must be separated from the tree and crushed to make the oil flow, we too have the need to be separated from the world and made to endure the sufferings that allow for the anointing that is in us through the born-again experience to come forth. Philippians 1:11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Now there is a higher and more futuristic agenda to suffering for Christ’s sake as well, and that has more to do with the kingdom that is to come. Matthew 20:23 “So He said to them, ‘You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left in not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.’” Jesus gives us insight into the kingdom that is to come, He tells His disciples that they will indeed suffer a martyr’s death but that God Himself will decide what position each believer receives in accordance with how much they suffered for Christ’s sake. The reality is that most of us just want to make it to heaven and we don’t care where we sit, as long as we are in with Jesus and where Jesus is. But if we think in terms of excelling in our training that is preparing us for the future, they both accomplish the same thing; let me explain. The future kingdom of which all born again believers will be a part of, is an eternal kingdom. What does that mean? That means that in that eternal kingdom we cannot make any mistakes, for one mistake in eternity disqualified even the most anointed of the cherubs. When God made us, the human race, He made us a little lower than the angels, see Psalm 8: He did so for the purpose of working all the bugs out of us before we became eternal, therein comes the suffering part. You see when Lucifer and the angels that followed him sinned, their natures were abruptly changed, and since they dwelled in eternity, they became eternally dammed and unredeemable, for time is the fourth- dimension where past present and future are all the same, one eternity. God placed us humans in the third dimension which is lower than the dimension that the angels occupy, for those who live in the third dimension are stuck in the present, which is not a bad thing if you figure that as long as it is called today, the present, we still have a chance to repent and make whatever wrong we made, right again, before we die and enter into the fourth dimension of eternity. Hebrews 4:7 “Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts (and repent before you die so that you can enter into God’s rest).’” Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.” What that means is that once we die, as believers, we go before the judgment seat of Christ where our abilities to sin are removed from us once and for all, and then we are rewarded with our eternal position which is based on the things that we did while here on earth in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” This is not a judgment of salvation, for if one is not saved he will not make it into the judgment seat of Christ. This is a judgment of rewards or the lack of them. What that means is that Jesus is trying to get us, while here on earth, to let go of the worldly things or what is called the works of the flesh, so that we can produce spiritually eternal fruit, like Peter listed, for the more spiritual fruit that we produce the greater our standing or the higher our heavenly position will be. But the flip side of that is that the more spiritual that we become while here on earth the more power that we have to impose the kingdom of God in our midst, but in order to become more spiritual the greater the suffering that we must endure by denying ourselves of the worldly pleasures that war against the kingdom of God. Now this is the kind of suffering that Paul is talking about: Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” So that it is only suffering if it seems to us that we are missing out instead of gaining eternal blessings. Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” His suffering earned Him the highest position, which is to sit at the right hand of God. Our suffering will get us to the highest position ordained by God for us, which is for His good and perfect will to be done in our lives. Back to Deliverance Ministry

Praise ye the Lord.” Father God, I bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with open ears, eyes, hearts, and minds to see, hear, receive, and believe the living Word of God because you state in Mark 4:12 KJV “12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” I pray in hope that they see and perceive, hear and understand so they would believe in Jesus the Son of the living God! And Heavenly Father, I bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like, with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in the hearts of the leadership around the world to forgive and reconcile their areas back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray that the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like are restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” manifests within the hearts of the leaders of the world, dominions, powers, principalities, kingdoms, royalty, kings, queens, princes, princesses, presidents, prime ministers, and the like. I pray that the gifts of the holy spirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God moves through each of us so that we know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen!
