  • THE FOUR WAVES | HoFM

Top of Page Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY THE FOUR WAVES Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Republished 7/6/21 Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” If we look at the above verse from an entirely spiritual perspective, we see four places that are mentioned, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the earth, that will be hit by a great shaking, and this shaking will come in the form of waves. We obviously live here on the earth, but during those days there will be things that are happening in the entire cosmos that will clearly have an effect upon us here on the earth. Luke 21:26 “Men’s hearts failing them from the fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” When our text declares that the powers of the heavens will be shaken, it is clearly referring to both, a physical and a spiritual shaking that will be taking place during those days. Hebrews 12:26 “Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only earth, but also heaven.’” The number four is significant here because it includes the entire creation, both physical and spiritual. The spiritual emphasis that I want to deal with in this lesson is revealed to us in the form of waves, like in the waves roaring, that is waves making loud sounds that are audible. If you read some of my works, you know that I believe that there are always four spiritual forces that work together in tandem to bring about the conditions that God requires in order to bring about His desired results in any given physical situation. Like the four horseman of the apocalypse, the four trumpets, the four seals, the four winds and so on. These waves are sometimes revealed to the saints in visions or dreams; now there are common threads that link the different revelations to one another, and there are some very unique and individual aspects of the revelation that apply only to the individuals receiving them. Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” In the Old Testament, only certain people were filled with the Holy Spirit. All of the prophets of old were filled with God’s Holy Spirit, since God is Spirit and all His works always begin in the spiritual realm. Those who are filled with His Spirit are in a position to receive the revelation of what God is doing in the spiritual realm that affects us here on the earth. In the New Testament, all the believers are filled with His Holy Spirit, for no one can be born again without being born of the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized (plunged) into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” So that to His church, the body of Christ, revelation is continually flowing corporally from His Spirit that bears witness of what God is presently doing in the spiritual realm. That is why when the Holy Spirit is doing a personal work in us, it seems almost like there is a conspiracy of some sort, for we see the Spirit moving through many different venues to assure us that it is He, and Him alone, not man, who is dealing with us. And when He is revealing things to His church as a whole, many different individuals, oceans apart, will have the basics of the same revelation of what God is doing or is about to do. For that is what Amos says, God will reveal His secrets to His servants, for a testimony to the whole body of believers. My personal experience with dreams of big waves started early in 1990. Prior to my first dream, I do not recall ever hearing about dreams of big waves from any body. In all four of my dreams that covered a span of several years, there were always two things common on every dream, I knew what cardinal direction I was facing, and I was completely overwhelmed by the size of the waves that were always coming my way. In my first dream, I was facing north while standing on a sidewalk in front of a small country church. I was watching as people were coming out of the church when suddenly a huge massive wave arose from behind the little church. The wave was comprised of water and mud and was coming towards the church from behind. It was moving so fast that I did not even have time to tell the people to turn around and look, I just instinctively crouched behind a small retaining wall in the perimeter of the front lawn. I was so scared that my heart almost stopped, and I remember thinking that I was going to die by breathing in muddy water. I awoke right before the wave hit me, and realized that my body was shaking and I was breathing heavily. In the next two or three years I had two more dreams that were just a different version of that first one. On the second dream I was facing east, there was a chain link fence in front of me, when a huge wave rose up, not as muddy as in my first dream. As I crouched down and grabbed the chain link fence, I remember thinking that the impact would probably rip my fingers off, thankfully I awoke again right before it hit me. In the third dream I was facing south when a huge wave rose again as before. The dream of the fourth wave came a couple of years later. I was facing west in the South Bay area of Los Angeles CA, looking at the San Pedro/Palos Verdes hill, when out of the Pacific ocean a huge, massive wave bigger than any of the others that I had dreamed before rose up. It was made of pure crystal clear water, and just as beautiful as it was awesome. In this dream I did not fear, I did not crouch, and I didn’t wake up before the wave hit me, for even though I was very scared, I welcomed that which was coming my way. The wave went over me and through me with great energy, but I was still standing, and as I looked around, all the houses and buildings were gone, and in their place, pools of living waters were drawing in the weak and the feeble to drink freely of it. In March of 1997, I had the privilege to travel to the Brownsville revival that was taking place in Pensacola Florida. For three marvelous days I witnessed the power of God moving upon thousands of people that were gathered there for that wonderful experience. We attended the Sunday morning service before we left that day and there was a guest speaker teaching that morning. He spoke about four spiritual waves that would hit from four different directions before the Lord returns for us. Can you just picture my jaw dropping as he started his message? He spoke about a revival that was taking place in Toronto, Canada, as the wave from the north, the revival in Pensacola as being the wave from the east, the revivals that were going on in South America, as the wave from the south, and get this, he spoke about a final outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was yet to come from the west. That was over sixteen years ago, and I knew that it was from the Lord, but as you know, we walk by faith and not by sight. The spiritual decline of the last few years, not only in the churches but in the nations as well, makes it hard for me to see how and where from that final revival that I am so certain, even today, that is coming. But you know how the Lord works, just when we seem to have forgotten something that at one time seemed very important, the Lord is always there to remind us that His timing is not our timing, and that just because it has not happened yet, that it should be no reason for us to not keep looking up in excitement for what He has promised. I read a prophecy that was given by a 90 year old woman in Norway, back in 1968, to an evangelist named Emanuel Minos when he came to her town to preach. The evangelist wrote down the prophecy as she told it to him, but he thought that it was so extreme that he kept it in a drawer and forgot about it. This is how her prophecy started: I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. Then, she mentioned four waves: This is part of what she saw in the first wave: There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. Remember that she spoke this in 1968 while the cold war was raging, and it raged on until 1989. There have been 24 years of peace between the super powers of the east and west. This is part of what she saw in the second wave: A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity. Here is part of what she saw in the third wave: People will live together like married without being married...TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. This is some of what she saw for the fourth wave: I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war... All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one. I wrote some of what she saw in her vision and some of what I saw in my dreams, to show those of you that might have experienced something like what she or I’ve experienced, that even though our perspectives differ greatly, there is a common thread that unites the flow of the revelations. In her case she saw peace in the first wave, when the first seal was opened after Jesus rose from the dead. The spirit of antichrist was released which is still very much at work today to bring forth a false peace. In my first wave I saw extremely polluted waters/doctrine sneaking behind the church. That explains why in her second wave she saw unparallel lukewarmness and a falling away from true living Christianity, for they are the results of demonic doctrines introduced to the church. But the key point that I want to emphasize is in the fourth wave, for that is when the powers of the heavens are shaken, and the Lord is revealed, and from her perspective she saw the start of World War Three. Now let me show you two different perspectives from Scripture about that same event. Revelation 6:12-17 “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake (in the earth); and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon (remember our opening text) became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free men, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” From this perspective we see that the land of Israel has been invaded by an army of a confederacy that's lead by Gog, of the land of Magog, from the uttermost north, according to Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Most of the people that you see running for the bomb shelters in Revelation chapter six are about to be wiped out by the wrath of the Lamb as He returns to show Himself holy before the nations of the world, and to save the people and the nation of Israel from sure destruction. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” From Joel’s perspective, whom Peter quotes in Acts, we see that those who witness the supernatural destruction of this mighty army that has invaded Israel, will realize that the Lamb is real and that His judgments are true, and they will have an opportunity to repent before the great day of His wrath begins. One way to see the fourth wave is as that of the beginning of a war that will end the world as we know it. Another way is to see it as an opportunity for as many people as possible to call upon the name of the Lord and be delivered out of this world before the wrath of God is unleashed upon it, and its destruction made certain. I know that in my dream I did not fear the immensity of the fourth wave, for it brought with it crystal clear living waters for the purification of the soul, and it was made available to all those who were feeble and weak in body. Those who fear and partake of the Word of the Lord now, will not be afraid in the day when His fullness is revealed to them. If only the scoffers would repent before that day catches up to them. Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • I WILL GIVE PEACE | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY I WILL GIVE PEACE Haggai 2:9 “‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of Hosts.” The literal translation for the word temple is house. Although Haggai is speaking about the rebuilding of the temple that had been destroyed, it is also referring to the physical body, which houses the spirit of man, that in a little while in their future, would be indwelled by the Spirit of God. Haggai 2:6-7 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.” We know that Haggai’s prophecy is applicable to the end of days because it is quoted as such in the New Testament. Hebrews 12:26-27 “Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.’ Now this, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.” The Desire of All Nations is a reference to Jesus Christ. When the Holy Spirit fell upon the believers on the day of Pentecost, all nations were represented in the city of Jerusalem. Acts 2:5 “And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven.” So that we can see the fulfillment of Haggai’s prophecy where God said, I will fill this temple with glory, He was also speaking about filling the physical bodies of His future believers with His glory. And the part of the prophecy that said, I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land, was a reference to His second coming, as explained in the Scripture that we quoted from Hebrews. And it is within this context that He gives us the promise of His peace. I will give peace. Now as we put it all together, we have a chronology of events that paints a picture for us for the times that we are living in, and one thing is made clear to us, we are going to need His inward peace in order to get through these difficult times that it portrays. We need to pray for Inward Peace. Why do we need to pray for peace that passes understanding? Now this, ‘Yet once more,’ indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. The things that are going to be removed are the things that are made, the physical things upon which so many put their lives and energy into. And the reason that God is going to remove them is to see if what is left still has the glory with which He filled the house of all who believe. What would you do if everything that you possess that has been made, all of the sudden is taken away from you in an instant? Will you be at peace in spite of having nothing left of the things that you were so dependent upon? Could you stand in the absence of every comfort and convenience and necessity, and still give heart felt glory to God? Haggai 2:22 “I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I will destroy the strength of the Gentile kingdoms. I will overthrow the chariots and those who ride in them; the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.” If the rule of law that governs the nations ceases to exist and anarchy reigns, and if the wealth of the nation's collapses, and if the airliners fall from the skies, and if all modes of transportation come to a halt, will you still be at peace? It is hard to imagine going through such a catastrophic scenario, but did you know that many of our fellow believers around the world are going through indescribable trials that are just as bad? There was a plane not too long ago that disappeared from the sky with hundreds of people in it, and to this date, the family members of those who were lost have no idea what happened to their love ones. Another incident, hundreds of school's girls were kidnapped by those who believe that women have no right to be educated. Those who took them by force plan to sell them as slaves. Throughout Africa, the Middle East, China, Europe, and other parts of the world, believers are driven out on a daily basis, out of their homes, and out of their lands. In many instances they become refugees in other nations where they are not welcome, others are imprisoned, tortured and murdered in the very place that they once called home. I know that the tendency of many of us is that such terrible tragedies will not take place here, wherever our here is. But perhaps many of those to whom those bad things happened felt the same way that we do now. This covid-19 is the latest incident that has stopped everything around us. Now why am I saying all this? Well, if you are a believer like me, you are looking for our blessed hope to appear, that is when Jesus returns to take us all away with Him. If you follow prophecy, you know that the signs of His return encompass a heavenly shaking that will remove all those things that have been made, so that the only things that will remain, will be the eternal things like faith, hope, love, and yes, His peace. Although we have many signs around the world that these things are already taking place, and that many of our brethren are being martyred on a daily basis, we really do not want to face these facts and refuse to acknowledge that these are the end of days that we are witnessing. Haggai 1:2 “Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.”’” As you can see, the Scriptures that we are dealing with in this lesson are clearly referring to the days that we are living in right now. The majority of Christians today live in denial, and do not want to consider that the Lord is about to come because they know that the Day of the Lord involves them losing everything they own in this world. Haggai 1:4 “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Remember that the temple, or house that lies in ruins, refers also to our physical bodies which are the temple of God, the Desire of All Nations. 1 Corinthians 6:19 “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?” This is why we are to put all our emphasis on the spiritual qualities that are ours in abundance, for they reside in the Holy Spirit who is in us. 1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in in your spirit, which are God’s.” I’m sure you are aware of the many warnings that Scripture proclaims in regards to our relationship with this world system. That friendship with the world is enmity with God. Whoever is a friend of the world is an enemy of God. One sure way to know that we have fallen for the deceitfulness of this world system is if we lose our peace when deprived of worldly things. That is why God is going to remove, and is already removing, the worldly things from many of His servants all around the world, to see what is it that remains within their hearts after all that was made in this world system is removed from them. Our turn is coming; if you have a stronghold within your soul for the delicacies of this world, and if you know that your peace would be lost if you were to lose all your belongings that you’ve received from the world; then you are in need of deliverance from those demonic strongholds. You can begin by renouncing your allegiance to this world system, then take an honest look into your heart, and let God remove from you whatever it is that needs to go in order for you to regain your peace. 2 Corinthians 4:2 “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” Handle the Word of God truthfully, be honest with yourself and strive to produce spiritual fruit, for only that which is produced by the Holy Spirit who is in you will remain after He shakes both the earth and the heavens. 2 Peter 1:5-10 “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble.” May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all! Haggai 2:6-7 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts.” Back to Deliverance Ministry List

  • KINGS AND PRIESTS | HoFM House of Faith Ministries

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY KINGS AND PRIESTS Revelation 1:6 “And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” From the beginning of time God made it clear to His creation that there are two distinct levels of authority given to man; physical authority and spiritual authority. From the beginning of time fallen man made it clear to the creation that he cannot handle both powers without falling prey to the spirit of pride, the pride that rises up when this combined authority is given to a fallen human man. You might have heard this human saying: Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The present history of the nations reveal the scars caused by madmen who were given too much power and fell into pride, and before their fall, they took along with them millions of lives and caused untold sufferings. As we study the Old Testament we see this power divided, not only in the way the kings of Israel and Judah ruled, but also in the way secular rulers governed their kingdoms; all kings availed themselves of the counsel of spiritual advisers called priests or seers. The reason why kings needed spiritual counsel was because God deprived them of spiritual revelation as long as they ruled as kings, thereby separating their physical power from the spiritual power. In other words, they had to depend on the judgment of somebody else in order to avail themselves of spiritual revelation. Exodus 28:30 “And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim (Lights and the Perfections), and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment (decision making tools) of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.” When God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt to give them their own land, He made provisions for them as to how their leaders were to handle both of these powers after they became a nation. The Urim and the Thummim were placed on the breastplate that the priest was to wear before he went into the Lord’s Presence, along with the twelve stones that represented each one of the tribes of Israel. The function of these two stones was to ask the Lord for guidance and direction in both physical and spiritual matters. That way, they could be certain that when the Lord answered them, that they had received perfect light or complete enlightenment as how to precede in any given matter. 1 Samuel 28:6 “And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.” It was not long after Israel became a nation, that they wanted to be ruled by a king like the other nations. They did not like the way that God had set up their government, for at that time they were ruled by priests, judges, and prophets. God had divided the power of their leaders to keep them from becoming dictators who imposed their own will over God’s people. Saul, who was their first king, violated this separation of powers that God had set up to protect Israel from oppression, and thereby, Saul lost his ability to receive direction from God. This lesson is about the interactions between spiritual and physical authority, the restrictions that God placed between them and why, and how God has restored back to the Man Jesus, all spiritual and physical authority, and how this dual authority has been made available to all of us who are believers of the resurrected Christ. Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth (physical and spiritual).’” Before the flood of Noah’s day, interactions between the spiritual realm and physical realm were common, which led to the corruption of the entire human race, except for Noah and his children. After the destruction of the entire human race—except for the eight souls that God spared— God separated man’s ability to rule in both, the physical and spiritual realms through one man. After Nimrod lead a rebellion and built a tower to reach to the heavens, God extended the separation to include the common language of men so as to frustrate man’s ability to operate in both realms singularly. Is not that God does not want man to have rule over both realms, but rather to protect mankind from the dangers that the abuse of such great power ushers into society, when fallen men are empowered by them. Genesis 14:17-18 “And the king of Sodom went out to meet him (Abraham) at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.” Abraham went to war in order to rescue his nephew Lot, who had been taken captive by an invading army. In his victory, Abraham also gained all the peoples that had been taken captive along with Lot. As Abraham returns with the spoils, he is met by the king of Sodom and the king of Salem in a place called the King’s Valley. What happened next determined the future of Abraham and the covenant that God made with him afterwards. As we look at it from the spiritual perspective, we notice that Abraham became a king—one who wields physical authority—by defeating other kings and taking the spoil away from them. As Abraham arrives to the Valley of the Kings, he is acknowledged by two other kings. The king of Sodom who was himself defeated by the kings that Abraham had just defeated, tells Abraham to keep all the spoils, and just return his people to him that had been taken captive by the invading army. He simply recognized the fact that Abraham was a greater king than he was. The other king is Melchizedek who offers Abraham bread and wine, which are the implements of a covenant. God gave Abraham a choice that day, when he ascended into the King’s Valley—between spiritual authority and physical authority—Abraham had to choose between becoming a king or a priest. Notice that Melchizedek was not only king of Salem, but he was also priest of the Most High God. Genesis 14:22-23 “But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth (the Possessor of all physical and spiritual authority), that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, “I have made Abram rich”.’” Two great things happened that day; first, Abram who was a spiritual man, recognized the division that God had set between physical and spiritual authority, and the fact that he could not have both. Secondly, he was quick to recognize that God was giving him a choice between the physical gains that he had earned in battle—gains which passes away—and a spiritual covenant of grace that endures forever. Romans 4:1-3 “What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? ‘Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’” The reason king Saul did not receive an answer from God when he inquired of the Lord, was because he took it upon himself to offer sacrifices to God, which is the ministry of the priesthood, thereby violating the separation of powers that God had ordained between spiritual and physical authority. Looking at the big picture, when God ordained spiritual authority that He established for the nations are usurped by those who rule over the physical realm, the blessings of God upon that nation dries up. As the Judeo-Christian principles upon which many of the western nations were established are replaced by the godless doctrines of secular humanism, the decline of western civilization increases to the point to where the rule of law becomes a choice that lawless leaders make. In the United States, the secular humanist have fought long and hard to remove any vestige of the Judeo-Christian principles upon which our founding fathers anchored the moral values and virtues that should govern our nation. We can measure the decline of our nation’s power and influence by the quantity of the moral values and virtues that it has rejected. We know that the secular humanist movement against the principles established by our founding fathers have succeeded by the fact that instead of receiving honorable decisions from our leaders that benefit the people, we get nothing but lies and deception from them. Looking at it from the individual point of view, we can see that for those of us who are in Christ, it has been granted to us to operate in the power of both, the physical and the spiritual realms. Ephesians 2:14-16 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation (between spiritual and physical power), having abolished in His flesh (Jesus is the only perfect human who cannot be corrupted by absolute power) the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.” What is the difference between us and those in the Old Testament? The cross! One cannot become a follower of Jesus unless we first, with Him, bear our very own cross. Death to self is the key that opens the door that allows us access to the united spiritual and physical power. Ephesians 2:18 “For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” Those of us who have taken our infirmities and mortality to the cross of Jesus, we have the spiritual and the physical power that binds us together as a nation out of the many nations, for the deliverance of the nations. In the natural, the godless and their godlessness seems to be advancing, but in reality, by the decline that their godless deeds produce, the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is made clearer and clearer to those who were fooled before into believing their dead humanistic doctrines. This is what Jesus said after He told us that all power in heaven and on earth had been given to Him, and this is what we should do in the face of all this godlessness that is going on, here is the antidote to all their lies: Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. • TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE Philippians 1:29 “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” In today’s Christian environment it almost feels like heresy to say that it has been granted to us, not only to believe in Him, but also the privilege of suffering for Him. In this lesson we will deal with the reason why God considers it a privilege when the followers of Jesus are allowed to suffer for His sake. Let us start with the basics; what is suffering for His sake? 1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” To suffer for Jesus’ sake is to suffer for doing good. But let us not gloss over the importance of suffering itself, for all of us suffer one way or another. Suffering always has to do with discipline, for those who suffer are trained by their sufferings. And it is part of the natural process as well, as children we are deprived of many of the things that we want until we learn how to use them properly. Now in the world, suffering, though it may bring some kind of discipline to the sufferers, it is usually the result of bad personal behavior, or due to the failures of the progenitors of those who are suffering. We can see that throughout the many nations of the world today. Those who are fortunate enough to be born in nations where the early fathers made sure that future generations would have better living conditions, by setting the right political and educational systems that would allow their descendants to be raised with the proper discipline to make things better, definitely suffer a lot less than those who are less fortunate. Those who are born in nations whose early fathers fostered hatred, division, and intolerance, whose aim was to regenerate their own bigotries after they were gone, and not what would be best for their descendants, suffer more due to the prejudices that they have inherited that keeps them from making the right choices. But this is where I believe that many Christians miss the true purpose for Christian suffering, for their understanding of suffering is based partly in where they were born. Those born on the west see suffering from a different perspective that those born in the east do, globally speaking. Christian suffering overrides whether one suffers for the lack of our ancestors discipline or because of it, it does not matter. Christian suffering is a different matter altogether and we need to understand that. 1 Peter 3:14 “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed…” The reason why Christians suffer is so that they can become partakers of the divine nature through their sufferings! That is the blessing. 2 Peter 1:3-4 “As (according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The divine nature is this: in Christ we are not of this world any longer! Let’s see if we can take a practical look at what Peter is trying to tell us. When Jesus was asked by Pilate if He was a king, Jesus answered that His kingdom was not of this world. Suffering for Christ’s sake prepares Christians for the kingdom that is to come, as it is written in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:12 “If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him…” KJV There is divine order in all of God’s creation, and that order is enforced by His divine power that governs everything in the creation in accordance with the laws of God. Suffering for Him and ruling with Him is one of those laws, if we suffer for Christ’s sake we do not suffer in vain! Being saved qualifies us to operate within the law of suffering for Him so that we can reign with Him, since in Him we have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now here is the process of suffering for His sake and becoming partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:5-9 “But also for this very reason (becoming partakers of the divine nature), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” Diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance (patience), godliness, brotherly kindness, love. All these are spiritual fruit that emanate from the anointing of the Holy Spirit that covers us. And just like the olives must be separated from the tree and crushed to make the oil flow, we too have the need to be separated from the world and made to endure the sufferings that allow for the anointing that is in us through the born-again experience to come forth. Philippians 1:11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Now there is a higher and more futuristic agenda to suffering for Christ’s sake as well, and that has more to do with the kingdom that is to come. Matthew 20:23 “So He said to them, ‘You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left in not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.’” Jesus gives us insight into the kingdom that is to come, He tells His disciples that they will indeed suffer a martyr’s death but that God Himself will decide what position each believer receives in accordance with how much they suffered for Christ’s sake. The reality is that most of us just want to make it to heaven and we don’t care where we sit, as long as we are in with Jesus and where Jesus is. But if we think in terms of excelling in our training that is preparing us for the future, they both accomplish the same thing; let me explain. The future kingdom of which all born again believers will be a part of, is an eternal kingdom. What does that mean? That means that in that eternal kingdom we cannot make any mistakes, for one mistake in eternity disqualified even the most anointed of the cherubs. When God made us, the human race, He made us a little lower than the angels, see Psalm 8: He did so for the purpose of working all the bugs out of us before we became eternal, therein comes the suffering part. You see when Lucifer and the angels that followed him sinned, their natures were abruptly changed, and since they dwelled in eternity, they became eternally dammed and unredeemable, for time is the fourth- dimension where past present and future are all the same, one eternity. God placed us humans in the third dimension which is lower than the dimension that the angels occupy, for those who live in the third dimension are stuck in the present, which is not a bad thing if you figure that as long as it is called today, the present, we still have a chance to repent and make whatever wrong we made, right again, before we die and enter into the fourth dimension of eternity. Hebrews 4:7 “Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts (and repent before you die so that you can enter into God’s rest).’” Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.” What that means is that once we die, as believers, we go before the judgment seat of Christ where our abilities to sin are removed from us once and for all, and then we are rewarded with our eternal position which is based on the things that we did while here on earth in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” This is not a judgment of salvation, for if one is not saved he will not make it into the judgment seat of Christ. This is a judgment of rewards or the lack of them. What that means is that Jesus is trying to get us, while here on earth, to let go of the worldly things or what is called the works of the flesh, so that we can produce spiritually eternal fruit, like Peter listed, for the more spiritual fruit that we produce the greater our standing or the higher our heavenly position will be. But the flip side of that is that the more spiritual that we become while here on earth the more power that we have to impose the kingdom of God in our midst, but in order to become more spiritual the greater the suffering that we must endure by denying ourselves of the worldly pleasures that war against the kingdom of God. Now this is the kind of suffering that Paul is talking about: Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” So that it is only suffering if it seems to us that we are missing out instead of gaining eternal blessings. Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” His suffering earned Him the highest position, which is to sit at the right hand of God. Our suffering will get us to the highest position ordained by God for us, which is for His good and perfect will to be done in our lives. Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE APOSTOLIC ANOINTING | HoFM

Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS THE APOSTOLIC ANOINTING 2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” There are five distinct offices to which ministers are called by God to fill, as they endeavor to minister to the saints, that differ from the call that all of us saints have to minister to the Lord by ministering to one another in service to one another, and by going out and preaching the Gospel and making disciples. Ephesians 4:11 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” A saint can choose to minister to the Lord in the many areas of service that are opened to us; we can choose to be witnesses for Him, we can choose to mentor new born again believers, we can choose to serve those who are in need within the church or outside of the church, we can choose to make our light show in whatever situation we choose. But there is a difference between let’s say, teaching others about the Word of God, which all of us should do, and being called to fill the office of teacher of the Word of God. The same goes for evangelizing, we can all go out and witness to others by telling them about their need to be saved, and all of us are called to do that, as it is written; Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, but we are not all called to fill the office of an evangelist. The same applies for pastors, caring and tending for the sheep is something that we are all called to do, but not all are called to fill the office of pastor. We are all in essence prophets every time that we quote the Word of God to others, for in reality we are prophesying to them by telling them that this is what God said, but not all are called to sit in the office of prophet. What is the difference? Let’s say that a terrible accident happens and somebody gets injured in a public place, the call immediately goes out, Is there a doctor in the house? At that point it does not matter what the doctor’s specialty is, all is needed is someone who is familiar with the human anatomy and who knows how to treat it, in the absence of a medical doctor even a dentist will do, even if the injury is on the foot, for all that is needed at that point is someone who can stop the bleeding and who can help to keep the injured person from dying. So that in the sense of ministry, we all should be general practitioners; when it comes to leading others to the Lord, we should all be prepared; when it comes to ministering to the needs of others, we should all be ready; when it comes to teaching them from God’s Word, all of us should know about the Scriptures that are able to save them. How do we learn all of that, and how do we prepare ourselves? Ephesians 4:12-13 “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” The fivefold ministry and those who are called to sit in those offices, are charged with the solemn duty of preparing and training the saints of the church of God for the work of ministry. Since God knows the future, and since He also knows that the needs of man change along with their circumstances, He foresaw the need of having ministers in His church that understand that the Holy Spirit always moves to optimize the resources of the church in the manner in which it is most effective. So that His anointing flows through those offices to bring about the changes that are necessary, by revealing the counsel to the churches that will prepare them to overcome whatever situations they are facing, with a message that is specifically tailored for their area of ministry. A minister that sits in the office of pastor for example, will receive through the anointing that is in the office that he fills, the guidance that is needed to better fulfill his calling, as long as he remains faithful to the anointing by not turning away to man made schemes, those who sit under his ministry will benefit from the anointing that flows from that pastor’s ministry for the betterment of their service. In my many years of service to the Lord, I’ve witness great teachers and great pastors that flowed with the anointing, and marveled how the Lord’s wisdom was able to move in whatever situation those who were ministering were faced with, to the point of astonishment, as to how the Lord worked His way in whatever difficulty they were facing, and as I asked the Lord where their anointing emanated from, it was always revealed to me that the anointing flows out of the office they held. We sometimes make the mistake that because a pastor, a teacher, an evangelist, or a prophet that flows with the anointing that their respective offices enable them with, that because they excel at their specialty, that because of that, that we can also trust their counsel when it comes to an office that they do not hold, and for which their anointing has not prepared them. I’ve seen great teachers fail as pastors and great pastors fail at teaching, and I’ve seen some do fairly well as both, but I can always recognize where their true allegiance is by what they say, for you cannot take a true pastor out of leading the sheep, anymore than you can take a true teacher from him teaching the flock, or a true evangelist from having an altar call, and a true prophet from prophesying Thus says the Lord! But if the fivefold ministry were a hand, the apostles would be the thumb, for the other four are heavily dependent upon it in order to function properly. If we truly want to understand what preaching, teaching, evangelizing, and prophesying is all about, then we need to understand what the true apostolic ministry is all about. Ephesians 2:20 “Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.” The church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was not erected on a foundation of human philosophy, or out of a need for a human agency that exists for the betterment of society and the refinement of the masses that would somehow bring about a human utopia on this earth. 1 John 3:8 “...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” Preaching, teaching, evangelizing, and prophesying that does not have the goal of destroying the works of the devil that flow out of the kingdom of darkness, misses the mark. The church was not put on this earth to conform to this world system, but to confront it, and expose it for what it is, the works of the devil. Jesus told us, I will build My church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Where did Jesus build His church? Right here on the earth! Where are the gates of hell? Right here on the earth! Any ministry, whether it falls under the office of pastor, teacher, evangelist, or prophet, if it does not have the destruction of the works of the devil as its main goal, then it is not flowing under the Holy Spirit’s anointing, for that was the very reason for which the church was established, to stand up against the gates of hell and to bring about the destruction of all the works of the devil through the power of the Holy Spirit’s anointing. Ephesians 3:10-11 “To the intent that now the manifold (fivefold ministry) wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.” This was always God’s plan for the church and will always continue to be; to challenge, to expose, to eradicate, and to destroy the works of Satan upon this earth! We are not here to mix and to mingle with other religions, Christianity is not a religion, Christianity is a kingdom, a kingdom that is not of this world, a kingdom that Jesus Christ, the King of kings is coming soon to establish, this should be the testimony of all Christian ministries. 1 Timothy 6:12-15 “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontious Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords.” In Matthew 27:11 Pilate asked Jesus, Are You the King of the Jews? Jesus said to him, It is as you say. Jesus did not, in anyway shape or form, dilute His testimony about who He was and what He came to do, even in the face of death, and while being confronted by His accusers. His testimony is the apostolic anointing upon which our faith rests, and from where all other ministerial offices draw of the true anointing. Is this the testimony that the ministry that your are under proclaims? If you are in ministry, is this the testimony of your ministry? If it is not, is it because of lack of knowledge or fear of persecution? Receive right now Paul’s prayer for you and for your ministry. Ephesians 3:17-19 “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height (fourfold)—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Back to Other Teachings

  • CATCH THE ANOINTING | HoFM

Top of Page Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS CATCH THE ANOINTING Written by Lisa Kane 6/13/21 If you’re not a believer, this message won’t make sense to you. To understand, become a believer by saying this prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name amen! 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. What is the anointing? It’s something that God gives you, the believer, that abides in you. It allows you to be taught the Word of God by this ‘anointing’ and not man. It is truthful and not misleading nor is it contaminated by man’s way of thinking or beliefs. First, we need to ask ourselves what is the anointing because once we recognize what that is, we can move to the next step, abiding in Him, to activate this anointing. Acts 2:2-3 NKJV 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [a]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. On April 9, 1906, we saw this same thing happen on Azusa street, downtown Los Angeles. Here’s an except of the event on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azusa_Street_Revival On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God on Bonnie Brae Street, "when suddenly, as though hit by a bolt of lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor," and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout out loud praising God. The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; and a few days later Seymour himself received the Holy Spirit; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down under the power of God as they approached; people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and the sick were healed and sinners received salvation.[2] This is the same thing that happened when the 120 individuals were in the upper room waiting after Jesus ascended into heaven in Acts chapter 2. The anointing has physical attributes. It’s a mighty rushing wind that comes. It feels like being hit by a bolt of lightening. It physically feels like you’re knocked down and folks start speaking in tongues that people will recognize as their own language. Acts even describes those tongues as fire on top of each of those persons. You may want to take a moment to read Acts chapter 2. It also draws a lot of attention. In both Acts and Azusa street revivals, people were drawn, saved, healed, and delivered. Is this anointing dead? I ask this question because I don’t see this happening today, June 13, 2021. Why don’t we see it anymore? If it happened in Acts and on Azusa street, it can happen today and we know it will happen just before the return of the Lord on that great and dreadful day of the Lord: Acts 2:17-20 NKJV 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. So, if this should happen in the end times, we need to take a closer look at this and be ready for it because we’re already seeing people have dreams and visions. We saw Israel became a name in 1947. We saw Jerusalem become the capital in 1967. We saw the pestilence of covid, we’re seeing large earthquakes, we’re seeing wars and rumor of wars – Matthew 24, Luke 21, Jeremiah 30:3, etc. One very important factor to notice about Acts and the Azusa street revival is at the beginning of both events. People were waiting in a dwelling place. Let’s read 1 John 2:27 again… 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. Notice the last statement: ‘will abide in Him’. What does it mean to ‘abide in Him’ and why is that important? Jeremiah 30:18a NKJV “Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; Jeremiah 30:21b-22 NKJV Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” First, Jeremiah tells us that the Lord will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents – dwelling place. Where you are, is your dwelling place. Jeremiah tells us that God will have mercy on that dwelling place. Mercy means forgiveness. Where you are, ask God to forgive you. As Job did it all the time for himself, and his family, we should do so always also. I suggest reading the book of Job at your earliest convenience. Second, once you have that mercy, how should you respond? How do you show your thankfulness. Read Jeremiah 30:22 again. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” In your dwelling place, say this: “God, I belong to You and You belong to me”. That’s one way to say thank you. Or another words, praise and worship Him. Say things that acknowledges God is great. Here are a couple of scriptures that praises God: Matthew 21:42 NKJV 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? You can call Him the chief cornerstone knowing that He is marvelous. Psalm 8:1 NKJV 8 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! You can tell Him how great is His name and how His glory is above the heavens. I’ll let you take the adventure from here to explore other ways from the Word of God on what to say during praise and worship. Now that you’re in the dwelling place, declaring that God belongs to you and you belong to God, now you wait. The 120 waited – Acts 2…William Seymour and those seven men waited. You wait knowing that: Joel 2:28-32 NKJV (This is what Peter quoted in Acts 2 beginning in verse 17 (read earlier) 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. 30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be [a]saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [b]deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. It’s time to be in that waiting place, dwelling in the secret place with God, being a part of that remnant the Lord calls, because His end is coming and we need to be ready to CATCH THE ANOINTING!
