- INTERCESSION | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) asks what are the mysteries of intercession and why is it that it is so very much required? Top of Page INTERCESSION Hebrews 7:25 “Therefore He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Intercession is not only needed, but is very much required for the proper function of everyday life as we know it. If it were not, then Jesus would not have to live always making intercession for us. What are the mysteries of intercession and why is it that it is so very much required? In this lesson we are going to try to unravel some of the mysteries related to intercession, in the hope that we can get some insight into this ministry that is so vital to our everyday lives, in the hope that it would encourage us to intercede on a daily basis. Matthew 6:9-10 “In this manner, therefore, pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’” To understand intercession is to understand why the will of God is not being done on the earth as it is in heaven; we need to know that the authority to rule over the earthly realm was given to Adam, to man and his descendants, Satan usurped that authority from man through deception and introduced chaos into the earthly realm. Since that time there has always been a battle between good and evil here on the earth. Jesus came and destroyed Satan’s power to inflict chaos upon the earth and returned earthly authority back into the hands of godly man. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Intercession is asking God to do His good will here on the earth on behalf, and for the good of all mankind. Since the authority has been returned back to us, when we see chaos ruling, it is because someone is failing to ask God to intervene in that situation. We may ask, why doesn’t God remove the chaos and bring to us His peace? Since God gave authority to man to rule over the earthly realm, God will not interfere into the affairs of man uninvited. That is what intercession is pure and simple, recognizing that we fail due to our fallen nature, to bring the goodness of God by ourselves into the earthly realm. We need His help! Luke 18:1 “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” In the parable that followed Jesus spoke about a widow that was not strong enough to take on her adversary by herself. The widow in the parable typifies mankind in our fallen human nature. The judge in the parable did not care about her need for justice, but due to her importunity, a type for consistency in prayer, the judge granted the widow her request. Then Jesus adds: Luke 18:7 “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? Men are always to pray and not lose heart: This brings us to the first aspect of intercession. Intercession is a Battle: A spiritual battle that requires a battle plan. Once we understand that God will not intervene in human affairs unless we ask Him to, and we know that it is His will, not ours, that He wants to bring into the mix, then we need to know what His will is in regards to the situation that we are asking His intervention for, so that we can pray in accordance with His will for that situation. If we do not, then the chaos will continue, for He aims for His will to be done not ours. Battle on behalf of mankind: God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 Our daily intercession should follow, as in regards to our prayers on behalf of mankind, first the family and the family structure. 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” These are pretty strong words that Paul speaks, that is because God is after the family structure; the family that prays together not only stays together but has a powerful influence in all that surrounds them. Is called the power of agreement as in a married couple interceding together on behalf of their entire families that became connected to one another through them entering into holy matrimony. That is why the institution of marriage is under such a heavy attack right now from those who want to redefine it. Their demonic aim is to corrupt the power of this marital institution to intercede together on behalf of both families by introducing dividing controversies into the family unit, thereby their power of intercession is neutralized. So that intercession should be made first on behalf of the household and beginning with the head of the household. Daily intercession should be made on behalf of parents, grand parents, children, grandchildren , great grandchildren , our siblings, their siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and for the families that they are interconnected with as well. God will use your prayer for some distant family member that you do not even know to save them from hell; remember that God is not willing that any of them should perish and be lost forever, but He will not act on their behalf by imposing His own will upon them unless someone prays for their salvation, which is God’s will for them. Many years ago, one of my nephews found himself, after going forward on an altar call, in front of an evangelist that told him that the reason he had answered the call was because his uncle was praying for him. This blew his mind for he knew that I was the only saved uncle that he had, he called us to ask, and we told him, yes we pray daily for our nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles and cousins. This was a confirmation to us way back then, that God always hears our prayers. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Secondly, we need to pray for the men and women that are part of the governmental structures that rule society, both secular and religious institutions. So that we need to pray on a daily basis for the churches and the elders of the churches, for the schools, the principles, the teachers, those who prepare the curriculum that the teachers teach, we are not to leave any of that to the will of the enemy. The fruit of the womb is His reward, let our children be invested with the knowledge of the truth, after all they belong to the God of Truth. Let us pray for the lawmakers and those who are in charge of executing the laws that the legislators pass. Let us pray for the judges that rule on what laws are just and which are not. Our prayer on their behalf should be based on what is God’s best for those over whom they rule. If the rules that they pass and enforce go against what is God’s best for the people they have rule over, then our intercession for them will be for God’s conviction of what is right and wrong to be revealed to them. If God opens their eyes to see the evil that their ruling is bringing upon the people, then hopefully they will repent and do the right thing on behalf of those over whom they have the power to rule. 3 John 2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” Thirdly we need so seek our own personal time of intimacy with Jesus. True intercession is born out of a heart that has an intimate relationship with the heart of Jesus. When His heart becomes one with our heart, our intercession for those things which touch His heart will be the more powerful; when our desire becomes one with His desire, there is a powerful and unstoppable force that is released as we become one with Him in His will for us. Ephesians 4:3 “Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Fourthly there is a place in the heavenly realm where those whose hearts have touched Jesus’ heart meet. This is a real place, more real than any reality that we’ve ever experienced here on earth. You will find people there whose prayer originates from many distant lands, somehow they form a spiritual connection and come together in the bond of peace, while in their efforts to ascend into the hill of the Lord and touch the heart of God. They begin their journey with a simple desire for interceding on behalf of what is in the heart of Jesus at that time. Somehow they all interconnect, they arrived into what is called the unity of the Spirit, when suddenly the Holy Spirit takes them to the base of what is called the hill of the Lord. Once there, they are able to commune one with another in complete trust, being aware of the other intercessors humanity and purpose. You can hear their thoughts and communicate your feelings to them through the same process. To reach the top of the hill of the Lord is the goal, so they press tightly together with one another in order to attain the purpose for which their Lord brought them there. Not all make it to the top at first, for it is a process. And it is that process the reason why I am sharing this aspect of intercession with you right now. Psalm 24:3-4 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.” This Psalm is a Messianic Psalm, meaning that it applies to Jesus, since Jesus is the only perfect human who could fulfilled the requirements stated in the Psalm. But when the intercessors heart becomes one with Jesus’ heart, a pure heart, that is when the intercessor is brought into the base of the hill of the Lord and ascend into the desires of God’s heart. In order for this pureness of heart to take effect, there has to be a cleanness of hands. Idolatries are the issue here, idolatry is the worship of a substitute god, usually the worship of self, or selfish ambitions, all of which defiles the human heart. We can pray the will of God and be in an idolatrous condition, but we can never pray the heart of God in such an idolatrous state, for idolatry is what keeps us from knowing His heart. Hence the ultimate goal of an intercessor should be to rid themselves of all traces of idolatry within their hearts in order to attained the heart of God. You have to begin with the truth, by being true to yourself, truth is the only thing that can make you free. The word sworn, as in sworn deceitfully, literally means to seven oneself, so that it has to do with a custom or ritual, some practice that takes place on regular intervals, a custom that is based on the perversion of the truth, that in reality is idolatry. Such traditional practices will be the hardest of all things to get rid of in your Christian life, because such practices are deeply embedded into modern day Christian liturgy. Truth leads us into the will of God, which in turn leads us into the truth of the purpose of God, which in turn takes us into the very heart of God. John 12:32 “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” If the goal of intercession is to bring to the earth what is God’s will in heaven, so that God’s purpose for the inhabitants of the earth can be accomplished, and if the best way to accomplish that ministry is to have the very heart of God within our hearts, is it not then necessary that Jesus be lifted up from the earth? You see, if we are proclaiming Jesus’ heart to the world, how can we do so effectively if we ourselves are soiled with the very earthly customs that profane His holy name, since we still have regard for those customs and patronized them? The devil is no match for the name of Jesus, all a believer has to do is to proclaim that precious name of Jesus, and no matter what his circumstances are, Jesus will answer him. But if we are swearing deceitfully by profaning the name that is above every name, by equating His holy name with some ancient pagan festival festering with idolatry, then the devil will not fear those who profane Jesus’ holy name, for by doing so they have placed themselves into the bottom of the heap of rubbish that hell itself is built on. John 12:26 “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.” Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? The true servants that follow Jesus, for those who follow Jesus are with Jesus where He is, and Jesus is on the top of the hill of the Lord. What a privilege it is to make intercession on behalf of the saints in the very presence of His Majesty on High. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

- OBEYING GOD AND CONSEQUENCES | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 1 Samuel 15:1-9 NKJV 15 Samuel also said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord... Top of Page Top of Page OBEYING GOD AND CONSEQUENCES Written by Lisa Kane 3/18/2021 1 Samuel 15:1- 9 NKJV 15 Samuel also said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord. 2 Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. 3 Now go and attack[a ] Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ” 4 So Saul gathered the people together and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand foot soldiers and ten thousand men of Judah. 5 And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and lay in wait in the valley. 6 Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. 7 And Saul attacked the Amalekites, from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is east of Egypt. 8 He also took Agag king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. 9 But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed. In the above scriptures, you can see that Saul and the people decided on their own to pick and choose what they would save vs destroying. God has a reason for destroying this race. They’re descendants from the giants and God cursed them before the flood. He was using Israel to fully destroy them completing His word against the giants. Another words, this was a race that had mixed blood between spirit realm and humanity. This is what the giants did when the watchers mated by taking humans wives for themselves. Genesis 6:1-2 NKJV 6 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, 2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. Isaiah 1:18 NKJV 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. We may not always understand why God has certain commandments in place, but we need to obey them. We can go to Him and ask Him for understanding but the end act still results in obedience, otherwise there are consequences and having God reject you is an awful consequence you do not want to experience. 1 Samuel 15:10-23 NKJV 10 Now the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying, 11 “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments.” And it grieved Samuel, and he cried out to the Lord all night. 12 So when Samuel rose early in the morning to meet Saul, it was told Samuel, saying, “Saul went to Carmel, and indeed, he set up a monument for himself; and he has gone on around, passed by, and gone down to Gilgal.” 13 Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord.” 14 But Samuel said, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?” 15 And Saul said, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” 16 Then Samuel said to Saul, “Be quiet! And I will tell you what the Lord said to me last night.” And he said to him, “Speak on.” 17 So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel? 18 Now the Lord sent you on a mission, and said, ‘Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are [b ]consumed.’ 19 Why then did you not obey the voice of the Lord? Why did you swoop down on the [c ]spoil, and do evil in the sight of the Lord?” 20 And Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed the voice of the Lord, and gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. 21 But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.” 22 So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion is as the sin of [d ]witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” Notice two things going on here. The king blamed the disobedience on the people in essence lying to God about obeying His commandments. Second, he kept twisting his response to say that yes, he did obey God’s commandments ‘for the most part’. (That part is implied but God knows the truth.) Question, do you think Saul was aware of what he was doing? I’m pretty certain he was and when dealing with other people in a situation like this, you usually can talk your way out of the disobedience, but Saul learned quickly he couldn’t talk his way out of this one with Samuel. Then Saul tried another approach. 1 Samuel 15:24-29 NKJV 24 Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. 25 Now therefore, please pardon my sin, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord.” 26 But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being kin g over Israel.” 27 And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. 28 So Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you. 29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor relent. For He is not a man, that He should relent.” Saul tried repenting with a lie. By still blaming the people in saying he obeyed their voice vs God’s voice, he said he was sorry but in reality, he still blamed the people and didn’t take responsibility for his sin. Samuel still didn’t fall for the false repentance. Look what happened. God removed Saul from being king over Israel and because Saul realized that it was too late and tried to physically man handled Samuel into accepting his repentance, and ending up tearing his robe, Samuel proclaimed the kingdom will be torn from him. 1 Samuel 15:23 NKJV 23 For rebellion is as the sin of [d ]witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” Because Saul rejected the word of God, God rejected him from being king. Every time you reject God, He rejects you. And some of the things you reject have permanent consequences, such as Saul no longer being king. There are consequences but it’s not too late. Humble yourself and repent. Return to God and heed His Word. Exodus 15:26 NKJV 26 and said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” Romans 10:9-10 NKJV 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. To repent, confess with your mouth and be sincere. Don’t be like Saul. Say this out loud: Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and savior. I’m sorry that I’ve disobeyed Your Word but I choose to no longer do that. In Jesus’ Name, Amen! Now seek God’s Word and find out what His commandments are so you can walk in obedience. Note, you’re still responsible in ignorance. And don’t depend on people or non-biblical sources to tell you what God’s commandments are. Find out direct from the source – The Bible. And once you find out, obey them. Once you place God’s commandments first in the center of your life, everything lines up. Blessings come your way and God says He knows you. Does God know who you are? If He knows you, you’re protected. Psalm 91:1-16 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall de liver you from the snare of the [a ]fowler And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and [b ]buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall [c ]bear you up, Lest you [d ]dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [e ]set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With [f ]long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

- MATURITY VS. INFANCY | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 1 Corinthians 3:1 “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.” Top of Page MATURITY VS. INFANCY 1 Corinthians 3:1 “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.” The difference between a mature person and a childish person can be ascertained by their ability to engage in substantive communication. Paul made the statement to the Corinthian church that he was unable to communicate with them due to their lack of understanding spiritually mature subjects, he simply said to them, trying to talk with you about spiritual issues is like speaking to little children about things that they are unable to comprehend. In the natural all children grow up, that is, eventually they all mature into an adult understanding of the realities of everyday life. However, not all baby Christians mature into an adult understanding of spiritual life, and that is sad. Imagine living your entire adult life with a child’s mindset. The ministry of deliverance is a great tool that the Lord uses to bring baby or carnal Christians into spiritual maturity, for the word deliverance also means liberation, and a person matures as his/her mind is liberated from childish thinking, or foolish thinking, that unfortunately keep many Christians from ever coming into the maturity of the faith. 1 Corinthians 3:2 “I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able.” What is it that keeps so many Christians from growing up spiritually? There are several elements to this problem, the first and the most basic one in my opinion, is the tendency of the church to hold on to its converts, instead of seeing them as seed that they are to scatter abroad. If we look at the church from a business model perspective, the first question that we must ask is this: what is the product that the church was created to produce? Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” The goal of the church is to duplicate itself wherever it goes, that means that those who are converted are to be raised up in the expectation that they themselves will grow up to become servants of the call of Jesus for all to go and to make disciples. In the business model some have to stay in the churches that are planted, to mind the store if you will, but always with the expectation that they might be called to convert others and to make disciples out of them, even outside of the realm of influence of their local church. Like in their workplace , or family members that are not part of their local community. The ideal church is one that is raising up mature believers that hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, and since the end goal is the same for those who stay as for those who are called to leave, there is no acrimony, for their aim is to go and to make disciples, here or there, or everywhere, it matters not, as long as our goal remains the same; to fulfill the call of Jesus to go and to make disciples of every nation. 1 Corinthians 3:3 “For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” Envy is always the result of selfishness, and it always brings with it strife and division. The devastating result of selfishness within the church is that it changes the goal for which Jesus established the church. 1 Corinthians 3:4 “For when one says, ‘I am of Paul,’ and another, ‘I am of Apollos,’ are you not carnal?” Once the goal is changed, the product changes as well. If the farmer decides that he is going to keep and eat most of the corn that he harvested, and greatly reduces the amount of seed that he is suppose to scattered abroad, not only the quality of the product is vastly reduced, but the amount that he produces suffers greatly as well. How does that principle of selfishness applies to the church today? Hebrews 5:13 “For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.” Imagine going to a church where they do not want you to ever leave. How many sermons on maturing spiritually so that you can go out and make disciples are you going to hear? Not many, I venture to say, for it would contradict their goal of keeping you there. How many sermons on how your spiritual walk is so totally dependent on them and what they offer you will you hear, that you wouldn’t dare think of ever leaving them? You see, if they want to keep you they have to create a need of them in your life. Hebrews 5:12 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.” If I can paraphrase You have come to need milk, You are a babe and you are hooked and in need of milk not solid food. Can you see the deviation from the original call? As long as you stay with their milk you will never mature and move on to your higher calling, and that is their aim if they are acting selfishly, for in their mind is the thought of why would we make faithful disciples to go out and plow in somebody else’s field? There is just one field for those of us who believe, the Lord’s field, and it does not matter who on this earth seems to get the credit as long as the great commission is proclaimed to the entire world, as we believers come into the maturity of the faith as one body, under one Lord, Jesus Christ! If I am one of those infants who is hooked to their baby formula, how do I get out of it? Hebrews 6:1-2 “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection (maturity), not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrines of baptism, of laying on hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” Everything enumerated in the verses above are doctrinal foundations of Christianity, that is why on verse three he states that: And this we will do if God permits, in other words, that is the message that we are to proclaim to the new converts. But those of you who have already learned the foundational principles need to move on, he said leave that discussion, and move up. If every time you go to church you find that you have to repent all over again every time that you hear a call to repentance, something is wrong, chances are you are hooked to babe’s milk and in need of somebody to lay hands on you and feed you some more formula, or change your spiritual diaper. How do I move up? Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are full of age (mature), that is, those who by reason of use (practice) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” There is an Old Testament Scripture where God compels those to whom He is speaking to come up higher and to reason together with Him. Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Why don’t we do that right now. Think back to when you were first saved, did God know every sin that you had ever committed and still saved you? He not only knew every sin that we had ever committed and forgave us when we first got saved, but even all those sins that we did not even know we had committed or remembered, He forgave them all as well. As you probably know, God is all knowing; so on that basis let me ask you again, did not God know all your future sins as well and still forgave you when you first got saved? He forgave us of all of our future sins when we first got saved through a mechanism He put in place where we could in the future bring to Him those sins that were yet to be committed by us? 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” So that as Christians when we sin, we do not lose our salvation, we do not have to get saved all over again, we simply confess and acknowledge our sins before Him and He is faithful and just not only to forgive us of the sins that we have perpetrated since our salvation, but He also cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Knowledge and an understanding of this fact will mature you faster than anything that I know, for knowingly or unknowingly those whose aim is to keep you hooked to their baby bottle will always go after the inconsistencies of the flesh in their sermons, to get you back to the basic principles of salvation all over again, to where you will never leave them even if you knew that the Lord had called you, for you would feel so inadequate in your infant mentality. Hebrews 6:4-6 “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.” After the Lord calls us to leave the elementary things behind, things that can be perverted and used by the enemy to stunt our growth, He places the above and very important Scripture to illuminate us into the revelation of the eternity of our salvation that He calls the heavenly gift. Although the above Scripture can be difficult to understand, especially for baby Christians, if you want to grow into maturity you will have to deal with it, that is why the Lord put it there right in the midst of the discussion about immaturity, for it deals with the subject of whether a true believer can lose his/her salvation. Listen carefully, if a born-again believer could lose his/her salvation, that is, if it were possible for a true believer to fall away, then Jesus our Advocate before the Father would be the one that loses the case, and that is contrary to Scripture. John 17:12 “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.” One cannot be born again unless he/she is a partaker of the Holy Spirit, and it is during salvation that we first taste of the heavenly gift, it might be milk, but is heavenly milk, the sincere milk of the Word of God, so that we are babes at first, but still babes in Christ the unmovable rock of our salvation. Although we are called to maturity, our salvation does not depend on our maturity for it is a heavenly gift from God. Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” It is fear that keeps many from maturing in the faith, but God’s perfect love casts out all fear. Fear of losing the gift of our salvation has been used against many to keep them bound, and it is still used today to keep many from leaving the herd and fulfilling their call. God did not call us to sit on our blessed assurance, but to become fruitful workers in the kingdom of God, do not let any human control you or your actions, Jesus is the head of the church, and He speaks to us His children daily, all we have to do is to read His Word with a sincere heart and meditate on the truths that the Holy Spirit reveals to us in His Word. - THE BATTLE SKIRMISH & THE WAR | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows us we are born into an active war for our souls, but we have the victory. Revelation 20:10 NKJV 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Top of Page Top of Page The Battle (Skirmish) & The War Written by Lisa Kane 6/26/21 I’m sure you understand what the difference between a battle and the war is but just in case, the battle are small skirmishes in the war and the war is the overall event. For example, the battle of Gettysburg was a battle within the Civil War. Some battles affect the outcome of the war and others have little impact but are important, nonetheless. The same is true for a believer. We deal with battles or skirmishes in our everyday lives but we are in an overall war. I asked myself, why are we in a war and what is this war we’re in? Sneak peak, if you’re on God’s side, you win the war. Revelation 20:10 NKJV 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where[a] the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Notice, I said if you’re on God’s side. So far, now we know, we need to choose a side…again, why? Do you know why you’re in this war? It’s likely you don’t and this message will help you understand the larger picture and I hope it changes your paradigm, thinking of what being a Christian means. And it begins in Genesis. Before we continue, I need to clarify ‘confusion’ related to Genesis chapters 1 and 2. There are not two Adam’s and there are not two Eve’s, etc. Chapter 1 is a supply list of what God creates and chapter 2 clarifies what He put into action. Think of it like this…if you plan to build a house, or fix a car, or create a quilt, you need all your supplies before you begin but it doesn’t become a house, or a fixed car, or a quilt until it’s put together or ‘completed’ or ‘finished’. Genesis 2:1 NKJV 2 Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. See, He completed ‘creation’ at the end of verse one in chapter 2. That means now that it’s finished, it’s the universe. But notice what the author says in verse 5 chapter 2: Genesis 2:5 NKJV 5 before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; Notice, He created (formed) male and female in chapter 1 but didn’t put him into creation until Genesis 2:7-8. Genesis 1:27 NJKV 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 2:7-8 NKJV 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. So, one Adam and one Eve. No confusion. Now let’s take a look at ‘why’ we’re in a war. Genesis 2:19-20 continues to show ‘how’ God creates animals and birds. Again, they were formed in chapter 1 and brought to Adam in chapter 2 for naming. Genesis 2:19-20 NKJV 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to [a]Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. There are several mysteries within these two verses that will change your paradigm as a Christian. First, God wants to spend time with Adam. Adam was created in His image. Adam is the only creature that can procreate and produce more in His image. Angels cannot mate with other Angels nor procreate more Angels, and yes, there are female Angels. Zechariah 5:9 NKJV 9 Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were two women, coming with the wind in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the basket between earth and heaven. However, we do know that Angels mated with women on the Earth and produced Giants. Genesis 6:4 NKJV 4 There were [a]giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. It took the human female host to actually produce a being and even then, those beings, the giants were cursed and were not given a soul/spirit. There are some teachings that even think these giants became the demons we deal with today. You can research that on your own. God created us in His image and we’re able to produce more of us in His image. God wanted to spend time with Adam to get to know Him because Adam was unique and had his own personality. Just like you and I have our own personalities. Let me give you an example (scenario) of how this time was spent with Adam. God brought a male and female type of big gray fat things to Adam to name. God asks him, what do you want to call these? Adam says, I’m going to call them elephants because they have trunks. God smiles. Then Adam says, I have a question though. God says, oh, ask. Adam says, in all the previous big creatures, you gave them long strong thick tales to help support them (dinosaurs) and here, you gave the elephants long skinny tales. Why? That gives you an idea of the relationship building up between God and Adam. There’s another mystery you want to know while you’re here. (Rabbit trail…) Romans 6:23 NKJV 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [a]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. No sin, no aging. We don’t know Adam’s age here but he remains fully mature during this time because he had not sinned yet. Here’s another mystery and this one tells you ‘why’ we’re in this war. Ezekiel 28:13 NKJV 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. Look who was in the Garden of Eden, Lucifer. He was the most beautiful creature ever created and I’m sure you’re saying to yourself at this moment, ‘this isn’t a mystery’. We know he was there because he deceived Eve.Theologians will tell you Ezekial 28:13 confirms that the ‘serpent’ was Lucifer but I take it one step further and say that Lucifer was watching God and Adam during this time where it was just the two of them. In fact, he was watching and seething. He was angry. He couldn’t believe that God would give ‘all’ His attention to this worthless, frail creature called a human being – named Adam. He was thinking that God should be giving him His attention and only to him. He wanted God to worship him and it made him angry that He wasn’t. In fact, Lucifer came to the conclusion that he will show God how stupid and frail these human beings can be, which reveals another mystery. Notice Lucifer went after Eve and not Adam. Genesis 3:1 NKJV 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’? He didn’t touch Adam because Adam spent quality time with God. Hmmm…maybe if you spent quality time with God, Satan wouldn’t touch you?!?! So, Lucifer wanted God to worship him. Instead, God spent time with Adam and built up a relationship because Adam was His son made in His image. When you have your first child, it is absolutely amazing to hold that beautiful baby in your arms. And as they grow, you get to see what type of personality comes out and what type of person that baby becomes. It’s awesome. That’s what God wanted to see with us. He was thrilled and made a place for us to live (Earth) so he could see that, but Lucifer hated God so much that he went after God’s most precious loved commodity – man. That’s why we’re in war. It’s because Satan hates God so much that he believes if he can get you, he will hurt God. John 3:16 NKJV 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Doesn’t John 3:16 mean more to you now that you know why you’re in this war? It’s similar to America getting drawn into WW2 when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. You were drawn into this war. Notice the issue here – Satan wants to hurt God by making you fail. Do you want to let Satan succeed? Do you really want to hurt God’s feelings? Every battle you face each day can be either a victory or defeat. That’s up to you. God already sent His Son Jesus to ‘redeem’ you with the blood. You have a choice. Romans 8:37 NKJV 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Revelation 3:21 NKJV 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 12:11 NJKV 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. How do you be more than a conqueror and/or how do you overcome daily battles/skirmishes? By the word of your testimony. Every battle you win in this war, tells others they can win too. 2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Here’s the best part. When you make God a priority in your life, (YOUR CHOICE) you become a new creature. That means those old things won’t affect you anymore. You overcame them. That means you have a testimony to share. SHARE IT! Psalm 91:1-3 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler from the perilous pestilence. You see, when you put God first, you enter His presence. You seek Him out. You put Him first. That’s saying to Satan, YOU CHOOSE to WORSHIP GOD and not him. HALLELUJAH! Choose God and win the battles. You’ve already won the war. More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministr y End Times Teachings Other Teachings
