To understand, become a believer by saying this prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I ask You to forgive me of my sins and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name amen! 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. What is the anointing? It’s something that God gives you, the believer, that abides in you. It allows you to be taught the Word of God by this ‘anointing’ and not man. It is truthful and not misleading nor is it contaminated by man’s way of thinking or beliefs. First, we need to ask ourselves what is the anointing because once we recognize what that is, we can move to the next step, abiding in Him, to activate this anointing. Acts 2:2-3 NKJV 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [a]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. On April 9, 1906, we saw this same thing happen on Azusa street, downtown Los Angeles. Here’s an except of the event on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azusa_Street_Revival On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God on Bonnie Brae Street, "when suddenly, as though hit by a bolt of lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor," and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout out loud praising God. The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; and a few days later Seymour himself received the Holy Spirit; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down under the power of God as they approached; people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and the sick were healed and sinners received salvation.[2] This is the same thing that happened when the 120 individuals were in the upper room waiting after Jesus ascended into heaven in Acts chapter 2. The anointing has physical attributes. It’s a mighty rushing wind that comes. It feels like being hit by a bolt of lightening. It physically feels like you’re knocked down and folks start speaking in tongues that people will recognize as their own language. Acts even describes those tongues as fire on top of each of those persons. You may want to take a moment to read Acts chapter 2. It also draws a lot of attention. In both Acts and Azusa street revivals, people were drawn, saved, healed, and delivered. Is this anointing dead? I ask this question because I don’t see this happening today, June 13, 2021. Why don’t we see it anymore? If it happened in Acts and on Azusa street, it can happen today and we know it will happen just before the return of the Lord on that great and dreadful day of the Lord: Acts 2:17-20 NKJV 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. So, if this should happen in the end times, we need to take a closer look at this and be ready for it because we’re already seeing people have dreams and visions. We saw Israel became a name in 1947. We saw Jerusalem become the capital in 1967. We saw the pestilence of covid, we’re seeing large earthquakes, we’re seeing wars and rumor of wars – Matthew 24, Luke 21, Jeremiah 30:3, etc. One very important factor to notice about Acts and the Azusa street revival is at the beginning of both events. People were waiting in a dwelling place. Let’s read 1 John 2:27 again… 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. Notice the last statement: ‘will abide in Him’. What does it mean to ‘abide in Him’ and why is that important? Jeremiah 30:18a NKJV “Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; Jeremiah 30:21b-22 NKJV Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” First, Jeremiah tells us that the Lord will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents – dwelling place. Where you are, is your dwelling place. Jeremiah tells us that God will have mercy on that dwelling place. Mercy means forgiveness. Where you are, ask God to forgive you. As Job did it all the time for himself, and his family, we should do so always also. I suggest reading the book of Job at your earliest convenience. Second, once you have that mercy, how should you respond? How do you show your thankfulness. Read Jeremiah 30:22 again. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” In your dwelling place, say this: “God, I belong to You and You belong to me”. That’s one way to say thank you. Or another words, praise and worship Him. Say things that acknowledges God is great. Here are a couple of scriptures that praises God: Matthew 21:42 NKJV 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? You can call Him the chief cornerstone knowing that He is marvelous. Psalm 8:1 NKJV 8 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! You can tell Him how great is His name and how His glory is above the heavens. I’ll let you take the adventure from here to explore other ways from the Word of God on what to say during praise and worship. Now that you’re in the dwelling place, declaring that God belongs to you and you belong to God, now you wait. The 120 waited – Acts 2…William Seymour and those seven men waited. You wait knowing that: Joel 2:28-32 NKJV (This is what Peter quoted in Acts 2 beginning in verse 17 (read earlier) 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. 30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be [a]saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [b]deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. It’s time to be in that waiting place, dwelling in the secret place with God, being a part of that remnant the Lord calls, because His end is coming and we need to be ready to CATCH THE ANOINTING! House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Micah 7:16 “The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall put their hand over their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.” Top of Page THE NATIONS SHALL SEE Micah 7:16 “The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall put their hand over their mouth; their ears shall be deaf.” As I prepared the prayer page for January of 2014 the Lord began to impress on me that this year will be a year of wonders. I pondered whether it would be a year of wonders for us personally, and by that I mean, us the church, or whether it would be a year of wonders for the nations as well. It seems that many others have received the same message about 2014 possibly being a year of wonders, which leads me to believe that this year, wonders may be revealed not only to the church in general, but to the people of the nations of the world as well. One of the things that I read about that have many talking about the year 2014 had to do with a Jewish Rabbi in Israel named Kaduri, who claimed that Messiah had revealed Himself to him. He said that Messiah told him that soon after the former prime minster of Israel Ariel Sharon died, that Messiah would return, then he wrote in a piece of paper the name of Messiah, sealed it in an envelope, then gave instructions not to open the envelope until a year after he, the rabbi, had died himself. I believe the rabbi died at the ripe age of 108 in the year 2007 or 2008, a year after he died they opened the envelope according to his instructions, and to everyone’s surprise he named Jesus as the Messiah who appeared to him, which to say the least caused a lot of controversy at the time. At the beginning of this new year of 2014, the news came that the condition of the former prime minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon, who has been in a coma for about seven years, had deteriorated considerably. That got a lot of people talking about that this may be the year when the Lord reveals Himself to the nations. I confess that I had not heard about the Rabbi’s prophecy until I read about it in the internet a couple of days ago, on the sixth of January. The things that I want to deal with in this lesson are the implications that an open manifestation of worldwide wonders would have upon us believers, what these wonders could possibly be, and how they would affect us as individuals. Isaiah 2:10 “Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from the terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty.” As the Lord was impressing on me that this might be a year of wonders, He gave me the above Scripture, which I opened with in the prayers that empower page, on the prayer focus for January of 2014, and I wrote that this might be our theme for the whole year: Enter into the Rock. And as I was meditating on Isaiah’s counsel to enter into the Rock and hide in the dust, the Lord revealed to me that the dust was a reference to hide within the multitudes of His many promises. As when the Lord promised Abraham that his seed would be like the sand of the seashore. So that the way that we enter into the Rock and hide from the terror of His majestic wonders is by taking shelter within the many promises that He has given to all who keep His Word and who have not denied His name. It is interesting that Micah reveals what is going to happen to those who do not embrace God’s Word or revere the name of Jesus when the heavenly wonders begin to unfold. Micah 7:17 “They shall lick the dust as a serpent; they shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth. They shall be afraid of the Lord our God, and shall fear because of You.” It is also interesting what the book of Revelation says is going to happen to the unbelievers of this world when the majesty of the Lord is revealed from heaven. Revelation 6:14-17 “Then the sky receded like as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” Kind of ironic that while the believers are trusting God’s promises, and by so doing are entering into the Rock of their salvation, the unbelievers are running to the caves and rocks only to find themselves crushed by the very Rock that they have rejected and the promises that they have ridiculed. Micah 7:18 “Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy.” I just read about a poll today that said that more Americans believe on aliens today than those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. And it is not surprising to me, since so many books and television programs continuously try to explain those things from the past which science cannot explain by attributing it to the workings of ancient aliens. What is the devil’s goal in all of this? For a while now I have been asking this rhetorical question of those of you who read my writings: When the majesty of Jesus is revealed in the sky will you see Him as your Savior or as your judge? Guess how the devil wants people to see the return of Jesus? The devil wants you to see Jesus return as a ferocious alien who is coming to take over the earth and to subjugate all the people as slaves to do His will. It was former US president Ronald Reagan who told the general assembly of the United Nations how petty our human differences would seem if all of the sudden the entire world was threaten by alien invaders. Just how do you think the antichrist rises to power and unites the entire world behind him to fight against Jesus Christ? Scripture teaches us that he cannot be revealed and take over the world until the true believers are removed from this earth. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” The goal of the enemy is to pervert the teachings about the soon return of Jesus to rescue us, to the point where believers are mislead as to who the real Jesus is, and as to what His intentions are, and the devil will do this through the power of fear, when the mighty wonders are revealed. After all, this is what is written about then; Isaiah called the wonders: The terror of the Lord and the glory of His majesty. Micah said, They shall be afraid of the Lord our God and shall fear because of You. But here is one of the many promises that we can envelope ourselves with and be protected from the spirit of fear: 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” The question that I often ask about how we will see Jesus when He returns, as a Savior or as a judge? Is rooted in the Scripture above. I know that Jesus has forgiven me all of my sins, past, present and future. I know that I have already been judged and have passed from death into life, so that I fear no torment. I know as a matter of fact that when Jesus returns, He is coming to take me to a place that He has prepared for me. I know that He is coming to welcome me into His joy, and I know for sure that He has good plans for me. How do I know all of that? That is what He promises me in His Word! And not only to me, but to all who are willing to believe in His Word. 1 Corinthians 13:7-8 “(Love) Bears all things, believes all things (in the Word of God where the love of God towards us humans is revealed), hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…” Micah 7:19 “He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins (past, present and future) into the depths of the sea.” John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” Matthew 25:23 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” In 1989 I experienced a vision of the rapture, you can read the entire vision in the introduction pages of my book Man’s Final Destiny , available free in the books section of www.houseoffaithministries.org . When I saw the wonder of Jesus revealed in the sky as He was heading rapidly towards me, my body became unglued, I cannot sufficiently explain the terrible fear that I felt as I first looked at Him in His glory. Every cell in my body was trembling so violently that I felt like my entire body was coming undone, and yet in the midst of the great and terrifying fear that my physical body was experiencing, the real me, my spirit man, rose from deep within me and shouted at the top of his voice: HALLELUJAH HE KEPT HIS PROMISE! I will never again experience, until Jesus returns for me in the rapture, such great joy and such dreadful fear as I experienced in that vision. I’m just sharing this so that you can see where I am coming from. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” There is nothing that we can do to prepare our flesh for its inevitable encounter with the glory of Jesus, for the flesh of those who are being rapture dies the instant that it beholds His glorious and wonderful majesty, for no mortal flesh can withstand such glory. But for those of us who fully embrace the promises of God deep within our hearts, at His revealing, our spirit man will be clothed with a new, immortal, and eternal physical body, that will never cease to give Him the glory, honor, and the praise that He deserves. We do not yet know what kind of wonders will be revealed from heaven this year, and we do not know what lies the devil will infuse into the world as he tries to deceive the elect if it were possible. Top of Page COME NOW, AND LET US REASON TOGETHER Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Life is a constant ending of things that previously began. I can safely say that every human that was born one hundred and fifty years ago is dead right now. And it would be a pretty safe bet to declare, that if Jesus does not return on the next one hundred and fifty years, that all humans who are alive today will also be dead then. What gives us humans the ability to transcend this cycle of life and death, is that we have been endowed with the capacity to reason, that is, to think outside of whatever current circumstance we are in, and imagine a life that not only lives, but thrives, outside of the perimeters that constantly hems us in, and that keep us bound to our present reality. Job 14:14 “If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, till my change comes.” It is our God given ability to reason that allows us to believe a thought that is foreign to our present reality, that a divine change will one day come, a change that is both personal and general in nature. This change has to do with the question that Job poses, If a man dies, shall he live again? Personally speaking it asks, will I live again? And since all men have died and continue to die throughout the ages, generally speaking it asks, will the all live again as well, after the change has come? So that mortal man, unlike unreasoning animals, can picture in his mind a life of immortality, an idea so at odds with our human environment, that it has to originate from an Eternal God. We see that every culture, past or present, is intuitively knitted with an idea that in the natural is extremely foreign to man, the thought of immortality; yet in spite of such overwhelming evidence, the fact that humans throughout the ages have reasoned that which in the natural seems unreasonable, still, many nations and peoples refuse to acknowledge the fact that man was originally created for a divine purpose. Isaiah 1:2-3 “Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth! For the Lord has spoken: I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against Me; The ox knows its owner and the donkey its master’s crib; but Israel does not know, My people (humans) do not consider (they have a willful lack of understanding).” It is humanly impossible to understand the times of the end without a reasonable understanding of the fact that a change must come. So let us ask the question, why is it a fact that a change must come? Humans were never destined to live in sin forever! Contrary to popular belief humans are not mortal, not before God, for to Him all live, that makes us humans immortal, and every human knows that intuitively. But before we can enter into immortality with God, our rebellious nature has to be disposed of, we must be made cleaned first, for our God is a holy God. In our opening verse God tells us that our sins are like a stain that has to be removed before we can enter into His eternal abode, that is also a foreign reasoning that comes to us directly from God. Have you ever bathed your dog only to see him run out and do a couple of rolls in the grass or dirt? Animals do not understand the concept of dirtiness or sin, only humans can relate to that concept; where does our ability to relate to filth and to sins comes from? Since we intuitively know that a change is coming, that leads us to believe that a preparation is necessary before we translate into that change, it comes natural. Without knowing, one that a change is coming, and two, that we must prepare ourselves for that change, we become like unreasoning animals that have no concept of eternity and end up dying in our sins. Isaiah 1:6 “From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment.” What makes us humans valuable to God is our ability to reason with Him, for if we understand Him, then we know what He expects from us, and what we can expect from Him, then we can make a reasonable choice to be and abide with Him as an act of our will, based on an intelligent decision made on the merits of the facts. With Him there is love, joy, peace, health, beauty, provision, eternal protection, happiness. Without Him there is nothing but eternal pain, sufferings, and sorrows, this is not brain surgery friends! Any half-witted reasoning will get us to make the right choice. Unless we are not willing to believe, which is the case in many instances, many will rather ignore sound reasoning for the temporary joy of rolling in the mud without guilt for a season. But if they really knew about eternity, and how much is really at stake, I doubt that any reasoning soul would be willing to risk an eternity of suffering for a few moments of frivolous carnal indulgence, I am, of course, speaking here about unsaved people. Isaiah 1:16-17 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.” For those of us who walk in the light of God’s salvation, we know that it is the precious blood of Jesus that turned our scarlet sins into snow white purity, and our crimson stain into precious white wool. We already believe in the resurrection from the dead and walk in the certainty that is, the age that is to come; so far this message has been a call that is aimed at the unbelievers, as I appealed to their ability to reason outside of carnal reasoning. Next I will bring into focus the role of the backsliders during the end times, those who already heard and believed the Gospel, but somehow have been dissuaded from following the plan of salvation that God has ordained for their lives. Isaiah 1:27-28 “Zion shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents (returners) with righteousness. The destruction of transgressors and of sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord shall be consumed.” There is nothing like a close call with death to get us back into the reality of life. That is why the end time, what the Bible calls the day of the Lord, will be such a frightful and terrifying event. Joel 2:1, 11 “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand...The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it?” Our redemption is going to be a messy business, for it will involve the beginning of the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners that get left behind, our redemption initiates God’s judgments against all those who forsake the Lord. The back sliders that repent (returners) in the face of the coming judgments, will be delivered with righteousness and kept out of the judgment. Those who have never believed and repent by calling on the name of the Lord, when confronted with the impending judgments, will also be delivered with righteousness, since they knew by instinct that a change was coming. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Someone cynically may ask, if we will know of His imminent return, then why don’t we just live like hell now and repent when the wonders and signs are revealed before His coming? Isaiah 1:15 “When you spread (pray) out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.” Do you know whose blood your hands would be full of? If you reasoned that God was going to put an end to our present reality some day by ushering in a change, and then decided that when and if that really happened, that you would just somehow get on board of the salvation train and repent. Don’t you know that by your act of selfishness, those who might have known what was revealed to you, will never get the opportunity for salvation that they could of have, had you been a faithful witness to them, instead of living it up in the world. By your false witness before them, their blood is now in your hands and tribulation is the only hope left for you. Matthew 24:5 “For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” The world has been totally saturated with stories of ancient aliens visiting humans in the past, which is nothing more than doctrines of demons that aim to prepare the unbelieving world to reject our Lord and Savior when He is revealed, by portraying Him falsely; causing those who lack Biblical understanding to flee to the mountains and mourn at His revelation instead of calling on Him to save then. Revelation 1:7 “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of... Top of Page JERUSALEM THE CITY OF TRUTH Zechariah 8:3 “Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” There are things that men and nations do that are in direct violation of the Word of the Lord, but as with everything else that the Lord does, He is longsuffering toward the nations and peoples that sin against His Word. He lets their own sinful ways catch up with them so that they all eventually end up in the misery because of their disobedience and rebellion against His Word. But when the actions of the nations and of the peoples interfere with the plans that the Lord has, and there are no nations here on earth left to make a way for the plans of the Lord to come to fruition, then the Lord intervenes directly, for as it is written: Isaiah 46:10 “...My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” In our opening text God makes a threefold declaration about what His plans are for Israel, and for Jerusalem in particular during the end of the age, for these are the days in which we are living right now. Jesus prophesied that Jerusalem and the temple would be destroyed and that the Jews would be scattered and persecuted throughout the world. It happened just as Jesus prophesied, the temple that took almost forty years to build and that was expected, at the time that it was built, to last for centuries, was gone in a fraction of the time that it took to be built. Matthew 24:2 “And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down’” This specific prophecy would have been extremely difficult for any reasonable person to believe back then. The temple of Jesus’ day took forty years to build, and it cost a great amount of treasure, it took a great deal of labor to build it, and on top of that it was built with the blessings of the Roman empire, whose reign lasted for centuries. But the generation that heard that prophecy lived to see its fulfillment. It was also prophesied that the nation of Israel would be restored once again at the end of days. No other nation in the history of the world that disappeared from being a nation for nineteen hundred years ever became a nation again, but Israel did, with the same language, the same traditions, on the same land, and with the same capital that they had when they ceased to be a nation. That’s because God’s counsel will stand! Matthew 18:20 NKJV For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. In the mouth of two or three witnesses a matter is established. It is interesting that in our opening text God makes a threefold prophecy concerning the nation of Israel and the Jerusalem of our present day. This is what Jesus says about the present-day nation of Israel and its capital, the city of Jerusalem: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Do you see any ambiguity in that statement? The Word that prophesied the destruction of the nation of Israel, is the same Word that prophesied its restoration, and is the same Word that says that He is returning to Zion, and that He is going to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Let’s face it, Jerusalem is not going anywhere any time soon, and anybody or any nation that works against Israel or Jerusalem to keep them from becoming what the Word of God says it will become in these end times, is going to be broken by the Almighty God who watches over His Word to fulfill it. Zechariah 12:3 “And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” Our present-day Iran is hell bent in the destruction of the nation of Israel, and like Hitler, Iran’s final solution for the Jewish people is to eradicate them from the face of the earth. To this end, they are heavily invested in building enough nuclear weapons so that they can bring their demonic desires about, the destruction of the nation of Israel. A group of leaders representing a majority of nations, under the leadership of the president of the United States, just gave Iran a clear path to their goal of having the right to make the elements required for building the bombs that they will need to carry out their destruction. Iran knows that if they attack Israel with nuclear weapons that they themselves will be destroyed as well, but what their religion teaches them is that if they destroy the Jewish people, their messiah will come and deliver them from Israel’s wrath. Remember that these are the people that believe that suicide against the Jews is a way to attain immortality. But this is what the Word of God says is happening to the nations that are conspiring to bring about the destruction of the nation of Israel. Zechariah 12:4 “In that day, says the Lord, I will strike every horse with confusion, and its rider with madness; I will open My eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the peoples with blindness.” What was the second thing that our opening Scripture declared that God would do in these end times? Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth. Truth is reality. These nations and their leaders that are so blinded by their prejudices against the Jews and Jerusalem are soon going to find out the cold hard truth: That God is real, that Jesus, His Word, is coming soon to establish His rule here on the earth, and that God’s will shall stand no matter what the nations do. Psalm 2:1-12 “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” The root of the hatred against Israel is the fact that the nations of this world do not want to have to answer to the Word of God for their actions. For them rejection of Israel is an open rebuke and rejection against God that is why they say, let us break Their bonds in pieces. The Lord shall hold them in derision. Once the nations of the world cross the line, where they reject Israel for the sake of rejecting God, that God strikes them with confusion and madness. The question that we need to ask ourselves right now is, Did the nations gathered in Geneva crossed that line with the treaty that they just made? Here is a Scripture that may apply to what just happened over there: Zechariah 8:7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Behold, I will save My people from the land of the east and from the land of the west.’” Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. Notice the word yet, that means that in spite of what the nations of the east and the nations of the west did, God’s counsel, His Word will stand. And what is that Word? I will give You the nations for Your inheritance. Whether they like it or not, the earth is the Lord’s as well as everything in it, that includes the nations and all of the peoples of the earth, and this is the advice that the Lord gives to the leaders of these nations: Now therefore, be wise, O kings; be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. The third thing that the Lord revealed in our opening Scripture was: The Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne, the kings and the judges of this world system do not rule supreme, all their despicable acts and rules with which they have corrupted the world with will have to be accounted for. Let us pray that our nation will be one of the ones that will repent before the Lord, for the sake of us all. Zechariah 8:22-23 “Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”’” Can you believe that! It will happen, after all our God is a God of miracles, all we need to do is to continue to pray for our nation and for the peoples of the nations, for it is only through prayer and intercession that we know our Lord will hear us and move to bless us in the midst of all this chaos.
