  • NO FEAR OF GOD IN THE LAND | HoFM House of Faith Ministries

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Amos 6:3 “Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, who cause the seat of violence to come near.” There is a battle between good and evil. Top of Page Top of Page NO FEAR OF GOD IN THE LAND Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published on 10/16/22 Amos 6:3 “Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, who cause the seat of violence to come near.” One of the meanings for the word Fear is to have a Reverential awe towards God! Instinctively we know that God is both—the Creator and the Judge. We are also able to comprehend that after death we have to face our own personal judgment before God. But in a grander scale we also—by way of instinct—realize that all of humanity will at one point come to its final conclusion. Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God will bring EVERY WORK INTO JUDGMENT, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.” Capitals in the Scriptures added by me for emphasis. This reverential awe towards our Creator has been written within our genetic code. The spiritual dynamics of Love and Hate and of Good and Evil are also written within our genetic code. What does it all means? MORTALITY verses IMMORTALITY! Ecclesiastes 8:8 “No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, and no one has power in the day of death. There is no release from that war, and wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it.” No one can stop themselves from dying because we cannot retain our spirit to keep it from leaving us. What that means is that our spirits are immortal, and when we die it leaves us and returns to God who gave it to us in the first place. Ecclesiastes 12:7 “Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” There is a war however, between our spirit and our flesh or between mortality and immortality; and no one is released from that war until the day we die and face that final Judgment. Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” The verse: Wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it; this is a reference to our souls which are immortal as well, but have been corrupted by wickedness and thereby in need of deliverance before we face the final judgment after we die. Ecclesiastes 9:5 “For the living know that they will die; but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward…” Provision has to be made for our souls before we die and face the judgment. How do we do that? We have to believe that only God has the power to condemn or to free our souls while we are alive, if we wait until after we die it is too late. Today is the day of salvation do not put it off. Mathew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather FEAR (have a Reverential awe towards God) Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Mathew 11:29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Rest for our souls can only be found in the atoning blood of Jesus and can only be received by faith as we believe in our hearts that God raise Jesus from the dead and confess with our mouths that He is our Lord. Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED (your soul will be delivered from hell).” Now concerning the spiritual dynamics between Good and Evil and Love and Hate; when there is a healthy respect or godly fear of the law of God and of the final judgment, society functions on the premises that Love is Good and that the government’s concerns is for the well being of those they rule over; even within the enforcement of justice. Grace is the overall goal or remedy, that as long as there is life there is the hope for redemption for every lost soul. The nations whose governments functioned under the guidance of Judeo Christian values enjoyed by far the most liberty and prosperities ever known in the history of man. Psalm 2:1-3 “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.” We are living in the presence of this prophecy being fulfilled, as one by one all the nations of the free world have turned their backs on the biblical principles that made them free and prosperous. What are the spiritual implications that we are experiencing as a result of their rebellion? We are in the transition of leaving behind love for what is good and entering into the depravity of hateful evil. The nations have fallen for the demonic delusion of good is bad and bad is good. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the LOVE OF THE TRUTH, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that THEY ALL may be CONDEMNED who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” Remember the Scripture that said: “There is no release from that war, and wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it.” Also, we see in our opening Scripture that as this transition is taking place it has repercussions upon the inhabitants of this earth: “Who cause the seat of violence to come near.” The seat of God’s judgment day gets closer and closer the more and more that wickedness increases on the land. But God is looking for repentance, a turning away from evil. Amos 5:4, 6 “For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek Me and live. 6) Seek the Lord and live, lest He brake out like fire in the house of Joseph and devour it…” In the absence of a world-wide revival that would bring most of the nations of the world to their knees in true repentance—sad to say—this is it! The signs that we are rushing head long into the end of days are overwhelming. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 “BUT KNOW THIS, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. AND FROM SUCH PEOPLE TURN AWAY!” How do we keep ourselves from falling for this great delusion? Remember always the spiritual dynamics that are involved in what is taking place. Love vs. Hate and Good vs. Evil. We must resist the temptation to give into the rage of hate, by keeping God’s Word alive in our hearts: Always abiding in the love of God that preserves us. Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; IN WRATH REMEMBER MERCY.” 1 Peter 4:7-8 “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And ABOVE ALL THINGS have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins.” As long as our moral compass is anchored in the love of God, we will always have a firm grip on reality and a firm hold on to what is good and thereby refrain from that which is not. Romans 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be COMFORMED to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that GOOD and acceptable and perfect will of God.” We can then see that Hate and Evil always go hand in hand, we cannot have one without the other. Hatred is the personification of evil itself, we should never give in to the venom of hate. 1 John 4:19-20 “We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” Every time that we express God’s love and goodness to others we are insulating ourselves from the toxicity of hate and evil. Such is the work of the spiritual dynamics between Love and Good. Psalm 85:10-12 “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yes, the Lord will give what is GOOD; and our land will yield its increase.” Here we see the same spiritual dynamics at work, but this time for the Good of all mankind. The truth that springs upward from the earth is our faith in the Word of God, and heaven’s response is righteousness rained down from heaven upon us who faithfully believe and wait fervently for His appearing. Here is a prayer of gratitude from one of His maidservants: Luke 1:46-55 “And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; for behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name. and His mercy is on those who FEAR (have a Reverential awe towards God) Him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich He has sent away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed forever.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • PRAYER GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) teaches the Holy Spirit has many gifts and He's just waiting for you to receive. Are you ready? Say this prayer out loud. Top of Page Top of Page EMPOWERMENT FOR THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT SAY THIS OUT LOUD: Precious Father in Heaven creator of Heaven and earth, in the Name of Jesus your only begotten Son I now come. Lord, no god has ever taken for himself out of the nations, a peculiar people like You have. By fiery trials, by miraculous signs and wonders, and by spiritual warfare. By Your mighty hand and an outstretched arms on the cross and by the great and awesome deed of the resurrection from the dead. You provided for us the Bread that came down from heaven, the Lamb of God, Your Living Word. You enabled us to drink His blood, precious and holy, for the New Covenant. From heaven you made us to hear Your voice, to discipline and empower us. On earth You showed Your tongues of fire, to fill us with Your power in accordance to Your promises. Lord fill me now with your Holy Spirit, fulfill Your promise in me. And grant me Your gifts with power. Dear Lord that Your authority may be displayed in me and that I may serve You faithfully. Rescue me, O Lord, from evil things; protect me from men of violence, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day against me. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Protect me, O Lord, from the words of the wicked one; Guard me your servant and my family with the hedge of Your unfailing love. Praise be to You dear Lord, my Rock, You train my hands for war, my fingers for battle. For if I cast out demons by the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon me with power and dominion. That I may occupy till You come dear Lord. Hallelujah! For salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are His judgments. He has condemned the greatly corrupted kingdom of the enemy here on earth, and has given the dominion to us His servants, by covering us with His blood. Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! He looked and saw how helpless my situation was. So His own arm worked salvation for me, and by His righteousness I am sustained in Him, empowered to do His mighty will. • THE WORK OF GOD | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” Top of Page THE WORK OF GOD John 6:29 “Jesus answered and said to them, ‘This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.’” Perhaps the greatest disagreement between the Bible and today’s science is the import and position of man within the creation. As we look out into the vastness of deep space, and see the enormity of the cosmos, and as we try to fathom the distances that we cannot comprehend, it is easy for us to see mankind as rather irrelevant within the immensity of the creation, but we are not the first to feel that way. Psalm 8:3-4 “When I consider Your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit (give attention to or care for) him?” If we consider humanity by its size, or percentage, in relation with the rest of creation it is easy to see how one could ask the question, What is man? We could also ask the question, what is gold? Or what are diamonds? Don’t we move tons and tons of ore from deep out of the ground in order to extract a miniscule percentage of that which is very valuable to society? After all we move mountains to extract piles, as long as the commodity that we are seeking pays the cost of the investment and produces a profit in return. Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” The answer to the question what is man in the eyes of God? Is that we are extremely rare, in relation with the vastness of the creation, and therefore very valuable to Him. Science has spent and continues to spend incredulous amounts of money and effort to find life, any kind of life, somewhere in the universe to prove that we are not as rare and therefore not as valuable to God as the Bible teaches that we are. Why is that? In order to answer that question, we need to understand the difference between profit/worth, and worthlessness. If science could prove somehow that man was not created after God’s image, then they can reason that there is nothing that it is owed to God by man, if we just evolved. If you find something extremely valuable by the curve side, can you assume that it has no owner and thereby take it for yourself? That is why, I believe, science devalues human life by the teaching of evolution, so that they can take credit and own it if you will, we made ourselves this smart they say, without God, and by doing that they devalue human life to the point that ruthless dictators, religious zealots, and roving gangs, can continue to murder and destroy the beauty of human life without the feeling of owing anything for their crimes. You cannot have deliverance until you renounce worthlessness. The world system promotes human worthlessness so that they can control the masses, a human who values his or her own life, will not give themselves over to be exploited by others as easily. Philemon 10-11 “I appeal to you for my son Onesimus (worthless), whom I have begotten while in my chains, who once was unprofitable (worthless) to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.” Onesimus was a runaway slave that once belonged to Philemon who fled to Rome where he was converted under Paul’s ministry. Remember our opening Scripture where it declared that the work of God is for us humans to believe in Jesus whom God sent? Paul declares that the once worthless slave, who owed his name to the fact that he was a bad investment for his owner, after receiving Christ as his savior has now become profitable not just to Paul who led him to the Lord, but to Philemon as well, for now he is not a slave anymore to him, but a brother in the Lord who is profitable to all. Here is how the Lord teaches us to be profitable. Isaiah 48:18 “Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness (value) like the waves of the sea.” What makes us so valuable to God is the price that Jesus paid to redeem us from our sins. God commands us to believe in Jesus for that is the only way that we can ever become profitable, to us, to others, and to God. That is why the ministry of deliverance is so effective, for it is a tool that God uses to remove the spirit of worthlessness from those who accept Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord, and that God also uses to fill them with a brand new purpose for their lives, which they now live in service to others as unto the Lord. 1 Samuel 1:16 “Do not consider your maidservant a wicked (daughter of Belial/worthlessness) woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.” Eli, the high priest, thought that Hannah was drunk as she was pouring her heart before God because she was barren and thereby considered worthless by many, when Eli accused her of being drunk, she cried out what in our present-day vernacular would be, I am not worthless! In a society that did not considered woman too highly, and faced with the fact that she was barren and therefore worthless to her husband’s progeny, accused by the priest of being drunk in church, yet this courageous woman dared to believe in a God who values human life, and offered Him the seed of her womb that was empty in the natural, but that by faith was so full of life. You see my friends, all that God needs in the natural is an empty womb, or an empty heart, but only if they fill their emptiness with the Spirit of Truth and thereby their void is filled with faith in the One who always keeps His promises. Once she cried out, I am not worthless, the high priest had no choice but to bless her with the peace of God, that Jesus promises to all who believe. 1 Samuel 1:17 “Then Eli answered and said, ‘Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.’” She went on to conceive and bore a son whom she lent to the Lord for life, she named him Samuel, and after that she had more children that the Lord blessed her with and that she raised herself. In her prayer of exaltation to the Lord she said this: 1 Samuel 2:1 “...My heart rejoices in the Lord; my horn (strength) is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation (deliverance).” Do you want to rid yourself once and for all of the spirit of worthlessness? You can do so right now, but there is the work of God that you will have to do: you are going to have to believe in Him whom He sent. Here are four prayers that you can pray. First you make Jesus your Savior, then you make Him Lord over your life, then you enter into a covenant with Him, a covenant to serve Him for the rest of your life. Then pray the prayer that breaks generational curses and get rid of worthlessness once and for all. All you need to bring is a broken spirit and a contrite heart, and God will fill you with His peace and will guide your steps forevermore. COVENANT OF SALVATION This prayer is to make Jesus your savior. Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Prayer (say this out loud): Father in heaven I confess Jesus as my Lord and savior and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I believe that now I am born again, in accordance to your word. Amen! COVENANT OF SURRENDER This prayer is to make Jesus Lord over your life. II Timothy 2:19-21 “Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: ‘The Lord knows those who are his,’ and, ‘Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.’ In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for noble purposes and some for ignoble. If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” Prayer (say this out loud): Lord Jesus I belong to you and I commit myself to turn away from wickedness. Lord search me to see if there be any wicked thing in me. Expose and remove everything in my life that will hinder you from total lordship over my life. Grant me the strength dear Lord Jesus to endure the purification fire. I pray that through your testing you will find in me, genuine faith. Amen! THE SERVANT’S COVENANT This is prayer is a petition to become a humble servant. John 12:26 “Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” Prayer (say this out loud): Father in heaven I surrender all positions in life to you, in order to become Jesus’ faithful servant and to follow Him. This body is not my own, but it has been purchased with the blood of Jesus. I want to be in your perfect will Lord Jesus, let everything that I do bring glory and honor to you dear Lord. Teach me to be humble, train me to be your faithful servant. Amen! PRAYER TO REMOVE GENERATIONAL CURSES Prayer (say this out loud): Our Father who are in heaven, creator of heaven and earth, God the judge of all; in the name of Jesus your only Son I enter into Your heavenly court and publicly repent of all of my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness in the Name of Jesus. Apply dear Lord I pray, the atoning blood of Jesus over all the sins in my life and the sins in my ancestor’s life that resulted in a curse. I repent of all of our disobediences and rebellions committed against Your Word. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of perversion, lust, cheating, lying, adultery, fornication, mistreatment of others, uncleanness, filthiness, wantonness, lewdness, and every perverted thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of false religion, cults, reading of horoscopes, idolatry, witchcraft, divination, all occult involvements, seditions, heresies, sorcery, dissentions, and every demonic thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of indecision, compromise, hatred, contentions, envy, gossip, murder, hostility towards others, hostilities towards my self, ill will towards others, ill will towards my self, and every divisive thing that was connected to our fallen nature. I now repent from and I renounce all the sins in my life and my ancestor’s life such as the sins of malfunction, failures, laziness, lack of responsibility, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, drunkenness, intoxication, addictions, dependencies, and every compromising thing that was connected to our fallen nature. According to 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Now that I’ve confessed all my sins, I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing from all my unrighteousness and the unrighteousness passed to me through the iniquity of all my ancestor’s. Deliver me Lord and cleanse me by the power of the blood of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I now take authority over the devil’s accusations against me. In accordance with the Word of God, I break and condemn any and every curse upon my life in the name of Jesus. I break all curses of poverty, lack, debt, destruction, sickness, death and vagabond. I break all curses on my marriage, family, children, and relationships. I break curses of rejection, pride, rebellion, lust, hurt, incest, rape, Ahab, Jezebel, fear, insanity, madness, and confusion. In the Name that is above every name, the Name of Jesus, I now break all curses affecting my finances, my mind, my sexual character, my emotions, my will, my intellect, and all my relationships. In the Name of Jesus I now break every hex, jinx, spell, and spoken curse over my life and my family’s life. I break every fetter, shackle, chain, cord, habit, and cycle that is the result of a curse. According to Galatians 3:13 I have been redeemed from the curse of the law by the sacrifice that Jesus offered on my behalf. Father in heaven I now exercise my faith in the blood that Jesus offered for my redemption, and I loose myself and my descendants from any and every curse. I claim forgiveness through the blood that Jesus offered for my sins and the sins of my fathers. All of my sins have been forgiven, so I now renounce all the works of Satan and their effect over my life, and my family’s lives, and I loose myself from every curse that came as a result of our disobedience and rebellion to the Word of God. I exercise my faith now in the Word of God: Romans 10:9-10, and I make confession with my mouth of the salvation, deliverance, healing and restoration that I believe in my heart is now mine, because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Therefore I confess that Abraham’s blessings are mine. I confess that I am blessed and not curse. I confess that I am the head and not the tail. I confess that I am above and not beneath. I confess that I am blessed coming in and going out. I confess that I am blessed by God, and what God has blessed cannot be curse. In the Name of Jesus and by the power of His shed blood, I now command spirits of Rejection, Hurt, Bitterness, Unforgiveness, Bondage, Torment, Death, Destruction, Suicide, Fear, Lust, Perversion, Mind Control, Witchcraft, Poverty, Lack, Debt, Confusion, Double-mindedness, Sickness, Infirmity, Pain, Divorce, Separation, Strife, Contention, Depression, Sadness, Loneliness, Self-Pity, Self-Destruction, Self-Rejection, Anger, Rage, Wrath, Anguish, Vagabond, Abuse, Addiction, Insanity, Worthlessness, and the rest to COME OUT NOW in the Name of Jesus my Deliverer, and be forever gone, because all of your rights to torment me and my family have now been removed. Dear Father in Heaven, in the Name of Jesus Your only begotten Son, I now thank you for setting me and making me free from every curse and from every unclean spirit that had operated in my life as a result of curses. Thank You Jesus! Amen. More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE HEALING OF THE DISEASED | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) explains we can safely surmise that powerlessness is the root cause of all those who are diseased, and that is why it is preceded by the word performed. Top of Page THE HEALING OF THE DISEASED John 6:2 “Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased.” Diseased: Feeble, Impotent, Sick. All of the above are Greek meanings for the word translated diseased. We can safely surmise that powerlessness is the root cause of all those who are diseased, and that is why it is preceded by the word performed. In other words, Jesus was able to perform on behalf of those who were powerless, that which they were unable to do for themselves. Jesus strengthened the feeble, He healed the sick, and He empowered the powerless to do that which they were not able to do for themselves. No wonder a great multitude followed Him, for no matter what the sickness or the need was of anyone that came to Jesus, they were all empowered to overcome their deficiencies. John 5:46-47 “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” Jesus gave those who doubted Him and His ministry, an earth shaking revelation, one that we will do well to appreciate and understand. We humans have the tendency to focus on the actions instead of the causes. I am sure that many of those who followed Jesus did so because of the signs; they saw results, so why bother with the causes. In other words, they did not worry where the power that Jesus exercised was coming from as long as they themselves became the beneficiaries of that power. As long as they were healed it did not matter to them where the power originated from. Meanwhile, on the other side we find the ones that were questioning the ministry of Jesus, they just simply ignored the results of His ministry, for they could not accept that a single human could have been vested with so much power by God Himself. John 5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him (Jesus), because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.” What was earth shaking about what Jesus told them was that if they had believed what Moses wrote to them, then they should have believed in Him as well, for Moses had told them about Jesus before Jesus even came to this earth. Deuteronomy 18:15,18 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear...I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.” The Jews of Jesus’ day were raised to know the Scriptures and to abide by them. They believed that the miracles that God performed through the hands of Moses happened as written in the Scriptures. They also believed and were looking for the Prophet that Moses told them that God would raise from their own brethren in the future. Now if one believes the promises that Moses wrote, and if one sees Jesus doing great signs and wonders, that which only God is able to do, the only reasonable conclusion that one can arrive at is that Jesus is the One that Moses had promised them would come. Their leaders rejected Jesus because they did not really believe deep down in their hearts the writings of Moses, that is what Jesus told them: But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words? And the majority of the multitudes that followed Jesus at first, rejected Him afterwards, by publicly demanding that a murderer be released instead of Jesus; because they saw Jesus as one who could not empower them anymore, after He had fallen into the hands of the Romans. Mark 15:32 “‘Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.’ Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.” So that both, their leaders, and many who witnessed the great wonders that Jesus performed among them, were eventually deceived and missed out on the benefits of the salvation that God had worked in their midst and on their behalf. So what are we looking for here that can help us today? Let us begin with two simple questions! 1) Do we have leaders in our midst today that profess to believe in the written Word of God, but deep within their hearts deny its power? 2) Do we have people today that follow after those whose ministry demonstrates signs and wonders, but really do not care where their power originates from as long as they get personal results? Here is the answer to the first question: 2 Timothy 3:1, 5 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Here is the answer to the second question: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Many real believers have fallen into the trap of certain ministries that project a real power and anointing, but who in reality do not fully adhere to true biblical teachings as evidenced by their carnality. And by the time those believers decide to turn away from such people, they begin to realize the spiritual damage that their involvement with such ministry caused them. On the other hand there are those who sit under ministries that proclaim the Word of God but deny that its power is for today. Those folks can never achieve their true destiny in Christ Jesus for lack of faith. So what is the answer? Here is what Jesus told the believers of His day: John 5:38-40 “But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He send, you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” In the days of Jesus there had been many others who had claimed to be the Messiah, and some of them had gather themselves many followers. So that there was a real need to be careful. But this is what Jesus told them, You do not have His word abiding in you. Their problem was that they were not living out the Word of God. But you may say, were they not searching out The Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life? They were searching out the Scriptures alright, but they could not find Jesus in them, and if they did, they were Not willing to come to Me (Jesus) that you may have life. So what is going on here? Believe it or not, at the root of this problem is law and grace. When the Jews of Jesus’ day searched the Scriptures this is what they were looking for, Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. They were looking for a King that would save them from the Romans, not a Savior that would save them from their sins. That is the reason why they could not find, or were not willing to accept the testimony of the Scriptures about Jesus. They searched the Scriptures for a King and not a Savior. It was very clear within the writings of Moses that the law condemned, and that the only remedy for sin was the shedding of innocent blood. For it was written that the soul that sinned shall surely be cut off. So here was the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world hanging on the cross, bleeding to make atonement for their transgressions, and they are telling Him to come down from there so that He can earn their faith. One cannot get anymore selfish than that! Now let us bring this lesson to our present situation. Which Jesus are you looking for today, the One who will make all your troubles disappear in an instant by coming down from the cross and cater to your every need, or the One who is making you conscious of your need to be delivered from your sinful nature? John 5:26-27 “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.” To be diseased is to be dead in trespasses and sin, in order for us to be alive we need to abide in Him, to abide in His Word, and in His grace. Once we come into the knowledge that His grace is sufficient for us, and that there is no need to follow the signs and the wonders, then the signs and wonders will follow our faith, if we dare to trust in His Word. And as we stand firmly in His grace, which also means favor, we know that all things are possible for those of us who believe, therefore we will never deny the power that is in His Word, nor limit our faith to the point of hindering the destiny that He has for each one of us who dare to trust Him to the uttermost. • THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) explains that the word mystery appears in the King James version of the Bible twenty two times, and five times in plural, mysteries, all twenty seven times in the New Testament, the word mystery or mysteries does not appear in the Old Testament in the King James version of the Bible. Top of Page THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD Mark 4:11 “And He said to them, ‘To you it has been given to know the mystery (secret or hidden truths) of the kingdom of God; but to those who are outside, all things come in parables.’” The word mystery appears in the King James version of the Bible twenty-two times, and five times in plural, mysteries, all twenty-seven times in the New Testament, the word mystery or mysteries does not appear in the Old Testament in the King James version of the Bible. The Hebrew alphabet consists of twenty-two letters, and it was believed by many of the Jewish Rabbis of old that God created the entire universe and everything that exists within it, with those twenty-two letters, since God spoke everything into existence. Five of those twenty-two letters in the Hebrew alphabet have what is called a final form, what that means is that whenever one of those five letters appears at the end of a Hebrew word, it changes its form. Psalm 119, for example, was written to give us insight into the meaning of each one of those letters, and to each one of those twenty-two letters in the Hebrew alphabet, eight verses have been dedicated by God in Psalm 119, to reveal the spiritual meaning of each one of those letters; that is why Psalm 119 has 176 verses, 22 X 8 = 176 And in many Bibles, you will see a Hebrew letter heading the eight verses that correspond to that letter in Psalm 119. Psalm 119:137 “Righteous are You, O Lord, and upright are Your judgments.” צ normal form ץ final form Verse 137 begins to describe the spiritual meaning of the eighteenth letter in the Hebrew alphabet; TSADDE which is one of the five that have a final form, in its normal form this letter looks like a man that is kneeling with his hands together and looking up, and praying to God, in the final form of this same letter, it changes to where it looks like the same man that is praying is now standing before God. The Hebrew letter TSADDE which is the equivalent of our letter R, in the Hebrew alphabet stands for righteousness, that is why verse 137 begins with the words, Righteous are You, O Lord, but if you look at the following words, and upright, it reveals the final form of the letter where the man praying to God is now standing in the upright position. Proverbs 12:7 “...But the house of the righteous will stand.” So that the spiritual meaning that this Hebrew letter conveys is that the righteous who now kneel and pray before God, will one day stand before God in the final day of judgment and give Him glory, for he trusted and loved the Word of God that made him righteous and pure before the Lord, and enabled him to stand before God. Psalm 119:140 “Your word is very pure; therefore Your servant loves it.” So that when we add the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew alphabet to the five letters that have final forms it adds up to twenty-seven . There are twenty-seven books in the New Testament where all the twenty-two hidden mystery and five final mysteries are revealed, isn’t that amazing! The first time where the word mystery appears in the KJV Bible, is in our opening text, and it is the only time that Jesus uses it. To you it has been given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. Mystery = Secret or hidden truths. When Jesus was alone with those who were following Him, His disciples asked Him what was the meaning of the parable that He told everyone publicly, it was then that Jesus revealed to them that they now had the capacity of understanding the secrets or hidden truths that the Word of God came to reveal. What was it that made them different than the rest of the crowd? 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are (have to be) spiritually discerned.” Since no one can be born again unless he is born of the Spirit of God, those who are not born again cannot know the mysteries that Jesus the Word of God reveals to us, for it is required of us to have the Spirit of God dwelling inside of us in order for us to be able to know and understand these hidden truths that only the Holy Spirit can reveal. Mark 4:12 “So that ‘Seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand; lest they should turn, and their sins be forgiven them.’” One can only become born again by been born of the Spirit of God, so that no one who is not born again is able to understand the mysteries or hidden truths without having the Holy Spirit reveal it to them. But for those of us who believe, access has been granted to us to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but yet, not every believer takes advantage of this privilege that has been granted to us in the New Testament, and we should. Romans 11:25 “For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery…” How do I acquire insight into these truths that lay hidden within the Word of God? Romans 16:25 “Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began.” The revelation of the mystery begins with the unveiling of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it does for us who believe. 1 Corinthians 2:7, 10 “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory... But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” Obviously, you can see the potential for edification as we explore the meaning of all these secrets that have now been made available for all of us who believe, and I hope that this lesson will encourage you to search the benefits of knowing the revelation of these mysteries. But for the purpose of this lesson, I just want to deal with the revelation of two of these mysteries, for I believe that knowledge about them is crucial in order for us to gain understanding from God about these hidden truths. The Mystery of Lawlessness. The Mystery of Godliness. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness…” What is the mystery of lawlessness? Romans 7:19-21 “For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law (this law is the mystery of lawlessness), that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good.” The mystery of lawlessness resides in this fact: Romans 7:18 “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.” This law of sin and death is many times stronger than the law of gravity and just as persistent, for it never quits and it never gives up. But notice how Paul writes that in the flesh it is impossible to find how to perform the good that we desire to attain. So how do we attain the spiritual revelation that will enable us to do the right things that we should be doing? Let us look at the mystery of godliness again. 1 Timothy 3:16 “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.” Here is revelation; Jesus crucified His sinless flesh to the cross to make a place available for us to crucify our sinful flesh on His cross. Jesus was justified in the Spirit, so that those who crucify their sinful flesh to the cross can be made justified in their spirits, and able to avail themselves of the revelation of this mystery of godliness. Jesus was not only seen by angels, but His atoning sacrifice on the cross reverberated through all the demonic hierarchies reaching to hell itself, so that the power of lawlessness becomes neutered by the precious blood of Jesus that cries out of God’s heavenly temple: Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lamb! He was preached among the Gentiles to proclaim the fact that God is no respecter of persons, for all have sinned, therefore all can be saved by His precious Son’s atoning sacrifice. The world believed in Him, for He is God’s demonstration of love to the world. And He was taken up and received in glory, where He sits at the right hand of the Father, where He forever makes intercession for us, His treasured possessions. So, what do I do the next time that this mystery of lawlessness rises up against my flesh and causes me to feel like our next verse? Romans 7:24 “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? This is what we do, and this is what we say, and this is what we believe: I AM FREE FROM FAILURE! Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I AM FREE FROM WANT! Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” I AM FREE FROM FEAR! 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” I AM FREE FROM DOUBT! Romans 12:3 “...As God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” I AM FREE FROM WEAKNESS! Psalm 27:1 “...The Lord is the strength of my life...” I AM FREE FROM THE POWER OF SATAN! 1 John 4:4 “...He who is in you is greater than he that is in the world.” I AM FREE FROM DEFEAT! 2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…” I AM FREE FROM IGNORANCE! 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” I AM FREE FROM SIN! 1 John 1:7 “...And the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” I AM FREE FROM WORRY! 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” I AM FREE FROM BONDAGE! 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” I AM FREE FROM CONDEMNATION! Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” I know that the greatest mystery of all is that God loves us intensely, and why should He not love us, after all He created us for His pleasure. And we bring Him the greatest pleasure when we believe His Word above whatever our situation is. I AM DEAD TO SIN, FOR I AM ALIVE IN JESUS CHRIST! • SPIRITUAL REALITIES | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on discovering the reality of the spiritual realm. Top of Page SPIRITUAL REALITIES 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” What is reality? Humanly speaking we could say that reality is what we see with our eyes and what we touch with our hands, and that if we cannot touch it or see it because it is invisible, that it probably doesn’t exist or that at least is not real to us. Science however, has discovered that the things that we see and touch are made of particles that are invisible, and that when we come in contact with the things that appear to be solid and real, that we are not really even touching them, but rather, when we feel like we are touching something solid we are in reality feeling an invisible electromagnetic field or force that holds the particles together that form the visible stuff, and these forces repel one another, so that whatever force keeps the particles together in one form repel the particles that keep together another form. What that means is that every time I strike a key on my keyboard as I am writing this lesson, I am not really touching nothing that is solid, there is some force emanating from my finger tips that repels the force that holds together the particles that comprise my keyboard and make it visible, but my fingers and the keyboard never really come into contact with one another. Try figuring that one out; in other words, reality is not really what we think it to be. Which raises the question, what is real? Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made (are not comprise) of things which are visible.” Isn’t it amazing how true science does nothing but corroborate what the Word of God teaches us? Clearly the answer to the question I posed earlier, what is real? Is, The Word of God, that’s reality! Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (life creating and life sustaining and powerful (the invisible energy or force that holds everything together), and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division (separation) of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” So that the Word of God which created everything, sustains the creation by the power of an invisible force that holds everything together that God created. That force is also what separates the visible from the invisible so that everything occupies its own space in its interaction with the rest of the creation, what scientists call locality. Acts 17:28 “For in Him (the Word that became flesh) we live and move and have our being (existence).” The visible, what we call the physical realm, exists in a three-dimensional universe, but the invisible, what we call the spiritual realm, exists in a four-dimensional universe that is intertwined with the physical realm. So here is the key, the visible physical realm is totally made of invisible stuff, and the things which may appear real to us in reality are not. How does knowledge of this, or the lack of it, affects my walk of faith? Understanding the interactions of the physical and spiritual realm is key if we want to follow after the spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all (the holy angels) ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Angels inhabit the fourth dimension, or what we call the spiritual realm, they are eternal creatures made of and sustained by the creating energy and do not have physical bodies. They can project themselves into our three-dimensional physical realm into whatever image they think is appropriate for their ministry on behalf of the saints, or remain invisible for that matter, but always working on and for the protection of the saints. Knowledge of this type of interactions, like that of knowing that we are never really alone when facing the creatures of darkness that are ever opposing us, can help our faith to be strengthen during a spiritual battle. In the same manner, the demonic forces that we wrestle against in our physical realm, are not physical, they are unclean spirits that operate out of the invisible realm of darkness. The spiritual realm is divided into two camps, the third heaven or paradise which Jesus refers to in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, this heaven is also called the Kingdom of Light, and is where two thirds of the angels reside, all these are the holy angels. The other part of the spiritual realm is called the kingdom of darkness or the underworld, the second heaven out of which the demons operate, where one third of the fallen angels reside. Both of these kingdoms are invisible to us yet we interact with them in our daily walk in a regular basis. Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” So that these types of interactions are real and can be beneficial to us if we understand how they are continuously working on our behalf to aid us. Also our understanding of these interactions can be helpful in protecting us from the unwanted intrusions that originate from the underworld and the creatures of darkness that are always coming against us. Hebrews 13:6 “So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me (since God has angels working on our behalf)?’” Here is revelation, if the creatures of the spiritual realm, the fourth dimension, have the abilities to interact with and or interfere with our three-dimensional time/space, can we then, the creatures that dwell in the physical three-dimensional realm cross over and interact with the spiritual realm which is in the fourth dimension and do that to our advantage? Luke 10:17-21 “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’ And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits (the invisible energy creatures) are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in (the third) heaven.’” Jesus gives to us a tremendous insight into what the power of His name here on earth really entails. He tells them, do not just rejoice in the fact that in mine name the invisible creatures of the fourth dimension are subject to you, but rejoice in the fact that your names are written in heaven. What I believe that means is that not only are the creatures of the fourth dimension subject to us in His name, but that the creation itself falls under our jurisdiction as well, for it is from the third heaven that the creation itself is ruled from, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Romans 8:19, 21 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God...because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” The creation is not just waiting for us to show up, but it says that it is eagerly waiting for us to be liberated from our bondage to a false reality that hold us captive to the natural world. What is it that keeps our understanding in chains? Hosea 3:6 & 6:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” There’s a couple of insights into the passages we just quoted from Hosea; First, a burnt offering sacrifice is the act of converting something that is real physical matter, back into its original invisible state, by releasing the particles that form a physical body, the sacrifice, from the force that holds that body together as a visible unit, through the agency of fire. In other words, taking something that though visible is comprised of invisible particles and releasing those invisible particles back into the invisible realm as an act of worship. Which brings us to the second point, the knowledge of God that is gained by understanding what a burnt offering really meant to begin with. So that in all of this, it was always our understanding of the mechanics of how the physical and spiritual realms interact that God was after: I desire mercy and not sacrifice...knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom (revealed knowledge by His sacrificial act on the cross) from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” Here is what I believe all these things mean; The creation began when God spoke and said: Let there be light (energy), and then He proceeded to complete the creation with all of the energy that He first released out of His mouth, so that everything that exists now, both visible and invisible, were made and are sustained by the Word that came out of God’s mouth. John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (the Word) was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him (the Word), and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Not only did God make everything by the breath of His mouth, but as we read earlier, He also sustains everything as well by the breath of His mouth. Acts 17:28 “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh…” Energy became matter! And they named Him, the energy that became matter, Jesus. All the invisible particles that are made of energy, whether joined together to form some physical visible body, or loosed in their invisible form somewhere in the universe, all have to answer to the name of Jesus, no matter whatever state they are in. For Jesus is the force that created them, that sustains them, and that governs them. Philippians 2:9-10 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (the Word that became flesh) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven (invisible four-dimensional spiritual realm, third heaven), and of those on the earth (the physical three-dimensional visible realm), and of those under the earth (the second heaven four-dimensional spiritual underworld, the realm of darkness).” So that from a scientific point of view, those of us whose names have been written in heaven, have been invested with authority in the name of Jesus, to rule over the invisible realm of particles that make up everything in the universe, both the physical and invisible. And not only are we expected to exercise that authority, but the crea tion itself eagerly waits for us to exercise such authority. Mark 11:23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not d oubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Notice how Jesus tells us where the power resides, whoever says, the power resides in the words that we speak. If it is a mountain of dirt and rocks that we are speaking to, that dirt and those rocks are made of invisible energy particles that respond to the Word of God, the energy that causes some particles to hold together and others to repel each other, those energy particles can make such a mountain disappear in a second by just disbanding. You see, as those particles start to repel one another at the command of God’s Word, such mountain can disappear in an instant into thin air. Now you see it and now you don’t, just like that. But in our natural mind, which is confined to our present reality, when we first read about that huge mountain disappearing, immediately our mind turns to, how many buckets does it take to carry all that dirt out and where in the world are we going to put it? Let’s talk about another type of mountain, let’s say, a cancerous tumor that threatens the life of a loved one; what is that cancer made out of? Invisible particles that bond together and are continuously growing. In the natural if we cut that cancer out, chances are that it may spread to other parts of the body, also if it is growing in an organ that is vital to life, will such removal cause more damage than help? What if by a simple word of faith that understands not only how things are made and function, but that as believers we have such authority in the name of Jesus to cause such tumor to disappear without spreading or damaging anything to which is connected within that body, in an instant. Many years ago, there was a man here in California who was originally from my home town in Cuba, he was older than me and a friend of my eight years older brother, that was my only knowledge of him. Through my brother I found out that he was dying of a cancerous tumor in his stomach. Every time my brother spoke about him and his trials the Holy Spirit convicted me to go and pray for this man, I was young in my faith and resisted by saying to myself, probably this man does not even remember me or know who I am, for I was a kid the last time he saw me. One morning my brother told me that after years of struggling with that cancer, his friend was about to die and that they gave him his last rites that night in the hospital and he was not expected to make it through that morning. I rushed to the hospital thinking that if I didn’t the Holy Spirit would be grieved by my disobedience and that maybe this man would not make it to heaven. When I got there, it was a horrible scene, he could not eat so he was less than eighty pounds, they had earlier opened his stomach in surgery, but the tumor was too big and because of where it was could not be removed. He had tried to get out of the bed and had fallen to the floor and was put back into his bed before I got there, and there was some kind of fluid on the floor by his bed just as I walked in and stepped in it. I remember speaking to God in my mind and saying: Lord I think you got the wrong man, I am just not cut out for this type of ministry. The man woke up and looked at me startled, I told him that I was Carlos’ brother and had come to see him. I saw shame in his eyes and I don’t know why. He did not seem to want to talk to me or look at me anymore, desperate to fulfill whatever mission God had sent me there for I asked him if he had a Bible as I looked at a funeral brochure that his wife had left by his bed, how I connected the Bible with a funeral pamphlet I’ll never know, but when I mentioned the word Bible his eyes lit up and he told me, almost in a cheerful mode how he would love to have a Bible in the Spanish language. I ran out as fast as I could to the church I attended miles away, where I knew my pastor kept Spanish language Bibles to pass out. When I got back to his hospital room he was not there anymore, they had moved him to another facility to die there, I met his wife in the hallway who told me many of the things that I just shared with you about his condition, but she remarked how elated he was that I had gone there to take him a Bible and how he insisted that she stay back and wait for the Bible that I promised him. That night was Friday night when we normally had a home Bible study, which I could not teach for I felt like such a failure. I told those who showed up for the study how I had failed and broke into tears. They were nice to me and understood, we had fellowship and they left. Just then, my nephew who had taken his dad, my brother, to see if he could see his friend one more time before he died called me and said: What did you do to that man? He could not stop talking about you showing up and taking him a Bible and what a difference that had made in his life, it was like somebody else showed up there and ministered to this man and I know it wasn’t me, but I was somehow getting the credit for it. He told the nurses that he was hungry and wanted to eat. I think that eventually they started to feed him again and that weekend he accepted the Lord as his savior watching a Jimmy Swagger service that was translated into the Spanish language. One week later I went to see him again before they released him from the hospital. He told me that they could not find the cancer and that it was gone. So, they were sending him home and he was thanking me for the Bible that brought such a change in his life. I prayed and asked the Lord what had really happened that day, for this man’s recollection of what happened and mine were totally different. The Lord in a stern tone said to me; the results are never left up to you, and by that He meant men, the only thing left to you men to do is for you to obey Me when I call you and to show up. And knowing that I was, as a teacher of His Word, interested in what mechanism He had used to heal that man, He told me, when you mentioned the word Bible, the spirit of that man understood it as My Word and what My Word desired to do on behalf of that man. You went just along for the ride so that I could teach you not to trust in the reality that you see, but in the reality of My Word. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” As we proceed into the last days of this age, reality, or should I say, our perception of it, is going to get more and more difficult to comprehend with our natural abilities. That is because our world has been programmed by this end time deception to tune into the world of the supernatural that is driven by the rulers of darkness as we get closer to the end of this age. We as believers have to depend totally, so that we can spiritually discern what’s happening, on the fidelity of the Word of God and our understanding of what it teaches us in regards to what is really real and what is not. We need to remember that the world with all its lusts is passing away, while the promises of God remain forever. What are you clinging to? I will ask one more time: What is real? God so loved the world that He sent Jesus to save us; that is real! Jesus died to forgive and to cleanse us from all our sins; that is real! Jesus is coming back to judge both the living and the dead; that is real! The trials and tribulations that we are facing are temporary; that is real! The blessings of God for enduring trials faithfully are eternal; that is real! If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him right now, just as you are, for they that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved; Now it does not get any more real than that, does it? Thank you Jesus for allowing me the privilege to proclaim Your Word! More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • SPIRITUAL WARFARE BY PASTOR MARCOS | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Top of Page SPIRITUAL WARFARE Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Who could imagine that one simple verse of Scripture could pack so much truth. If you want a definition that will tell you the nuts and bolts of spiritual warfare, Jonah nailed it right on the head. There once a man that was brought to the altar where a well-known evangelist was praying for the people after a service and the man’s family told the evangelist that the family member they brought before him was troubled by a demon, the evangelist laid his hands on the man’s head and said: In the name of Jesus I command you to leave this man right now, to which the man that was being prayed for responded while pointing at his own head; you stay right there you hear. It was kind of funny when the evangelist told the story many years later; but in reality that is at the root of why so many Christians fail in their battles to conquer their demonic tormentors. All the spiritual warfare tools at your disposal are of no avail if your right hand is telling the enemy to leave, meanwhile your left hand is telling your enemy to stay. Jonah did not just stumble into this revelation by chance, it was revealed to him while dealing with the consequences of his disobedience to God. Jonah 2:2 “...I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice.” Jonah had some issues that he needed to work out, and probably the most pressing of his issues was that he did not see eye to eye what the will of God was for his life. He was called to be a prophet, and when God sent him on an assignment that he personally disagreed with, he decided to go on a different direction. But even in his disobedience there was something that Jonah knew that perhaps many believers today do not know. And that is when they are in open rebellion to the will of God for their lives, in reality what they are actually doing is getting deeper into idolatry and witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” The reason that Jonah said that those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs was because that is exactly what he had done; he had rejected the Word of the Lord for him, and just like it cost Saul his kingship it almost cost Jonah his life. The difference between Jonah and Saul was that Jonah understood what his sin of rebellion had caused and he repented, but as far as king Saul was concern even to his bitter end he consulted a witch in his search for God. The king could not tell the difference between light and darkness. Jonah 2:9 “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.” There are two crucial points that we need to learn if we are going to be successful in spiritual warfare: Number one is repentance. Once our stubbornness and rebellion are exposed, we need to offer the sweet sacrifice of repentance and thanksgiving to the real God, the God that is convicting us by pointing out to us our sin. The second point is that it behooves us to recognize that Salvation can only come from God. Now stay with me, there is something deeper here that we need to understand because this is not as simple as we think it to be. In the spiritual realm there are only two forces at work that war against one another, light and darkness. You may say, well that is easy. Not so, especially when the creatures of darkness can transform themselves into something that they are not, creatures of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” After reading those three verses we realize that spiritual warfare is not as easy as recognizing the difference between day and night, is it? But here is the key, in the end their work will always be one of rebellion against the Word of God. Once Jonah realized that it was not hard for him to understand that repentance was more than being sorry for his rebellion but that it also required him to become obedient to the call of God; after all obedience is better than sacrifice. Now let us examine how was it that Jonah got into his predicament, in other words, why did he disobey God’s plan for his life to begin with? Jonah 4:1-2 “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the Lord, and said, ‘Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.’” Here Jonah really gets into what was really bothering him; God had called him to intercede for some really bad people and was told to go and preach to them that God was about to destroy them for the evil that they were perpetrating. Jonah, knowing that God is a merciful God who is full of compassion, One who relents from doing harm, thought that if he preached and they repented, that God would forgive them, and Jonah did not want that to happen and that is the reason why he fled to begin with. Here is the point that we need to glean and it comes from God’s very own perspective, not Jonah’s; Spiritual Warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers! How can one be in the light of God’s mercy while wishing for the destruction of our fellow humans that walk in the darkness of this age? If God has been a merciful God to me, and He has, does He not want to show mercy also to my enemies who walk in darkness? What if He asks me to pray for those who have really hurt me? I know that He is a merciful God and that if I pray for them, and they repent, that He will forgive them immediately. But is that what I really want in my heart? Do I long for their pardon as much as God does? 1 John 2:9-10 “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now (still in darkness). He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him (has been set free from idolatry. Zephaniah 1:3).” 1 John 4:20 “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” So far the two aspects of spiritual warfare that we are discussing have to do with light and darkness. And the question that we pose is, if Satan and his ministers can transform themselves into creatures of light, how can we know whether we are walking in the light of God’s truth or abiding in the darkness of this world without even knowing it? And the answer is clear, if our focus is on the flesh, what transpires through the agency of man, then we are still in darkness. But if our focus is on the unseen, on what is taking place behind the curtains if you will, then we are poised to receive the revelation that comes to those who are abiding in the light of the truth of the Word of God. Let me bring this down to our present-day reality and try to explain why understanding spiritual warfare is so critical for us in the here and now. 1 Timothy 3:1, 5 “But know this, that in the last days (our present time) perilous times will come...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Here is what the light of the truth of the Word of God says, from such people that turn away. So that when it comes to spiritual warfare, people are not the cause of the problems that we are facing as it pertains to who our enemies are, but the people that deny the reality of the spiritual problems that we are facing, from them we are to stay away, simply because they represent the false light. You see if there is no hell, that means that there is no spiritual warfare, so that by hanging out with that crowd you are out of the game before it even starts. Jonah 1:9 “So he said to them, ‘I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.’” In chapter one Jonah is totally honest with his fellow shipmates about his circumstance and even tells them that they have to throw him overboard if they want to save their own lives. In the verse above he makes a bold declaration of who he is and of what he believes, it makes me wonder why was Jonah really fleeing from the will of God to begin with? Isaiah 36:20 “Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?” The king of Assyria was coming against Jerusalem one day, and he was bragging about his previous conquests and ended up insulting the Lord of Hosts. The king of Israel took those insulting words before the Lord and God sent an angel against the Assyrian camp and killed one hundred and eighty five thousand from his army in one night. The Assyrian king went back to Nineveh the capitol of Assyria where he was later killed. So that there was no love lost between these two people. So that the key for understanding spiritual warfare has to do with God’s timing. There is a time for war and there is a time for peace. Hanging around those who have already made up their minds before listening to the counsel of God in any given matter is a hindrance to those whose call is to battle against the forces of darkness that abide in the spiritual realm. Here are a few things that we should know about spiritual warfare: What is under God’s covering mercy today maybe under the wheels of God’s wrath tomorrow. That which is expected of us today may not be what is expected of us tomorrow. A life boat is only good when a ship is sinking, the rest of the time is an eye sore that occupies space. Real light will always expose the works of darkness. Knowing when it is God’s time for wrath or for mercy will insure that we do what is expected of us today, even if it is totally different than that which was expected from us yesterday. Knowing when a ministry ship is sinking or stuck on a sandbar will lead us inevitably to the life boat that will preserve us from spiritual harm. That is what walking in the light means, not stumbling over the works of darkness. If the essence of spiritual warfare is for me to rid myself of the things that hinder my walk with Jesus, so that I can fulfill His calling for my life, then knowing my position within His timing for my life is critical, especially if I am to know when I am ready from His perspective to either move, stay, or to advance into a previously unknown position that He wants me to occupy. Ephesians 1:17-18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • THE END OF DAYS | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presentns a teaching on Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Top of Page THE END OF DAYS Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Throughout the history of mankind there has always been a group of people fascinated with the end of things, the end of days, and with the end of time. Maybe it is because we experience the death of things on a daily basis, we are not so much aware of it, those of us who live in modern cities that provide us with the comfort of buying things that have already been killed and packaged, but think back to earlier times. I remember when I was a kid growing up in Cuba, even though we lived over the ocean waters, for our house was built on stilts, we still raised chickens on the back deck of the house, and every time my mom was going to fix chicken for dinner one of them had to die. We kept live fish in the well tank of our boat that was tied to the front of the house, and every time that we were going to have fish for dinner, we went to the tank, got the fish out, killed it and cooked it. We did that with pigs and turkeys that we raised for special occasions as well, I even remember a goat that we raised once, it chewed through the wooden boards on the floor and fell through and ended up hanging itself on the chain that it had tied around its neck while its hind legs were dangling over the water. So that the experience of the cycles of life and death, beginning and endings, are well seated within our DNA. But how does the Bible define what we call the end of days, not just generally as of the end of the age, but our personal end as well? Psalm 39:4 “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am.” David’s prayer gives us great insight as to why we humans are either fascinated, fearful, or willfully indifferent, to the awareness of the end of things as we know them. How many times are we reminded of our mortality? How many times do we ignore it? At the heart of David’s prayer was the cognitive reality that to ignore our personal mortality reduces our ability to prepare ourselves, and our posterity, for the end of the age that will one day come upon the final generation of humans that will live to see that day. David strongly implies that knowing about his personal mortality as well as the duration of his days while here on the earth, would make him more sensitive to the frailty of life. Now here is the implication, it is extremely hard for us humans to really value human life if we are not fully aware of the value of our own life. How do we react to news that a flood or a landslide killed hundreds of people on a far away distant land? First thought that comes to mind is, those things are always happening to those people out there. How do we react when a tragedy like that happens in our own neck of the woods? New York city is still three thousand miles from where I lived in September 11, 2001 and yet I felt, and I still feel, like I was right there when that tragedy happened. Now why is that? Because when we are personally affected by an event that causes many lives to perish, their death becomes more real to us. And that is the idea that Psalm 39 is trying to convey to us. Listen to what it was that caused David to ask God to give him the revelation of: Make me to know my end. Psalm 39:2-3 “I was mute with silence, I held my peace (became indifferent) even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing (just thinking about it), the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue (took action).” Wow! What a powerful description of what moved him. First David said to himself, I am going to keep my mouth shut, I don’t care if it is good or bad, I’m just going to stay out of it. Isn’t that what so many of us do today? Society is going to hell in a hand basket all around us, so many are dying of drug overdose, so many others are shot dead on a daily basis, and well, we just feel so helpless that we tell ourselves to ignore it, for after all, there is nothing that we can really do about it, or so we feel. Then David said that his sorrow was stirred up, what was it that caused David’s sorrow to be moved? He said that while he was just sitting around thinking about the situation and doing nothing, the fire burned. There are two ways to interpret that, one is that while we sit around and muse and do nothing, the fire continuous to rage and consume all around us unopposed, inflicting a heavy toll on society. The other way to interpret that is, that while we are witnessing the heavy toll on life that our indifference is in some way aiding and abetting, it is what causes our inward fire to burn that moves us to do something. What David did was he prayed. Prayer is recognition that we ourselves are unable to change the situation by our own mortal means. It is amazing to me that David in his prayer did not ask God to give him strength to deal with the situation that he was too weak to handle, instead he asked God to reveal to him his weaknesses to the utter most, for this is what David say: That I may know how frail I am. This is so amazing, because it defies human logic. How is me knowing how weak in reality I really am is going to solve the situation? There is a Scripture parallel that applies here I believe, and it is found in the entire book of the prophet Habakkuk. Habakkuk 1:2-4 “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, ‘Violence!’ And you will not save. Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Habakkuk was a righteous Israelite man who lived among the sinful people of the nation of Israel of that time. He is praying to God, and he is asking God why He is not answering his prayer, Habakkuk tells God that he is even pointing out the wrongdoing that he sees when he cries out publicly, Violence! Back in Bible days it was customary to cry out publicly, or to publish, when something bad was happening that could affect those around them. In the case of a leprous person having to pass near anyone else that was not infected with leprosy, the victims of leprosy were required by law to cry out loudly, Unclean! Unclean! To warn those around then not to come in close contact with them. In the same manner when a sin was being perpetrated against another in the nation of Israel, it was required of the Israelites to expose the wrong doing publicly, and that is what Habakkuk is saying to God he did, to no avail. Then Habakkuk says this to God: Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? Basically, Habakkuk is saying, Lord if You are not going to answer my prayer of action against lawlessness, why then do you allow me to witness so much evil? After all, if you do not answer my prayer, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about the wrong that is all around me. However, God is trying to teach Habakkuk what David already knew and was teaching us on Psalm 39. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch—be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it was told you.” So, God takes the prophet Habakkuk into a vision of the near future and reveals to him what dreadful end the nation of Israel has coming because of all their sinfulness that they refused to repent from. Habakkuk is in shock when he witnesses first-hand what the utter devastation of all those around him will be. However what troubles him the most is the way in which God executes judgment on Israel. I guess Habakkuk expected some holy and righteous nation to be used by God to judge his faltering nation, but instead God uses a nation that is far worse, as far as sinfulness and cruelty is, than Israel ever was, to judge them. This is how God describes the nation that He will use to judge Israel for all their sinfulness that they have committed against Him. Habakkuk 1:7 “They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.” So that Habakkuk’s prayer changes in emphasis, instead of saying how bad the Israelites really are that lived all around him, now he is asking God how can you use a nation that is far worse than Israel could have ever been to judge us? And then this is what Habakkuk says: Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.” Then God takes Habakkuk into a vision of the future end of days, when the entire earth, along with all the nations, will be judged by God for all their ungodly acts that they have committed against Him. The experience is so traumatic that Habakkuk finally realizes that the judgments of God for the end of days are so completely dreadful, that he now understands how frail human life truly is, and instead of feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, or complaining about all the wrong that was all around him, instead he realizes that the only hope for all humans lies in God’s mercy. Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.” David’s prayer was: Make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. Notice how the prayer of Habakkuk mirrors what the prayer of David was, Revive Your work in the midst of the (my) years. I believe that there are no humans that have ever experienced how dreadful the judgments of the end of days are, and who have not prayed this prayer in earnest: Dear Lord, IN THE DAY OF YOUR WRATH, REMEMBER MERCY! We are living in the midst of dire and difficult days, to say the least, for lawlessness and perversion are rampant everywhere we look. But let our prayer emphasis change from, God look at all the evil that is all around us, when are You going to judge it? To the New Testament revelation that says, the more that sins abo unds, the more that the grace of God abounds. Let us see what is going on all around us as an opportunity to usher in the grace of God. And we can pray that prayer "in wrath remember mercy" sincerely, only if we have felt the heart of God in this matter. For our God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That is why Jesus went to the cross.
