  • SPIRITUAL HEALING | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY SPIRITUAL HEALING 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The human body is made of three distinct parts; spirit, soul, and body. One physical unit with two spiritual components, the most important of the three is the spirit. If the spirit-man, as I call it, is sick or weak, everything else will be affected by it. As a matter of fact, there can be no true healing for the soul (mind) or for the physical body, unless and until the spirit-man becomes born again. But even born-again spirits can falter under the pressures of this worldly corrupt system of which we are part of. Proverbs 18:14 “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? In other words, if the spirit-man is broken we are in real trouble. In this lesson I want to deal with the functions and conditions of the sprit-man and try to figure, from Scripture, how to bring spiritual healing to those who might be having problems with their spiritual condition. How do we Christians know if we need spiritual healing? 1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” If we are experiencing problems worshiping, or glorifying God, in spite of our circumstances, we probably have a spiritual malady that needs to be remedied. A healthy spirit-man is impervious to physically induced trials, for the spirit-man is not sustained by physical means. John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The spirit-man’s sustenance comes via the truth, Jesus is the Truth, and Jesus said in: John 6:63 “...The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (for the spirit-man).” When a Christian is struggling in his spiritual relationship with God, meaning he/she is having trouble worshiping God in spirit, is due to the lack of truth within the spirit-man. For a healthy spirit-man is not troubled by physical circumstances, but rather, it rejoices in tribulations, and it grows stronger every time it takes on the lies of this world. If a healthy dose of God’s truth can make the spirit-man strong and able to thrive in this corrupt world environment, then the opposite is true as well, a lying spirit, uttering lying words, can make the spirit-man sick if the spirit-man indulges in the lies that its being offered. Malachi 2:15-16 “...Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth...Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.” Twice in consecutive verses God gives a stern warning to the people of Malachi’s days, concerning the condition of their spirit-man, take heed to your spirit, God told them twice. Within the context God is dealing with them about divorce, which God hates, and the truth of the laws concerning the putting away of one’s wife. Because they had perverted God’s laws to their own advantage, that is what dealing treacherously means, God is saying to them, watch out for the well being of your spirit-man for you are in violation of the truth of the Word of God. Ezekiel 21:7 “...Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass…” In the above passage God is telling the people of Israel that because of their abominations, He is going to judge them severely. But I want you to look at the progression of how the spirit-man becomes weak and faint; It begins with these words: because of the news of that which was about to happen to them, fear originated in their hearts and then it manifested itself in the body with their hands becoming feeble and their knees weak. Now let us turn that around, if our spirit-man is weak and feeble because of the fears that we have been entertaining, what happens if we introduce our spirit-man to the good news and precious promises found in the truth of God’s Word. Galatians 4:6-7 “And because you are sons (your spirit-man is born again), God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son (in the spirit-man), and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” We are no longer slaves to fear, fear of the slander of the enemy, for God’s perfect love that has been shed abroad in our hearts casts out all fear. There is no reason for us to fret about our present condition, or about the future, be it our future, our children’s future, our families future, our nation’s future. There will be tribulations that we will face, but they will only make our spirits stronger, for that confirms the Word of God in which we are feeding. A healthy spirit is a strong spirit. Ezekiel 36:25-27 “Then I will sprinkle clean water (the truth of God’s Word) on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit (born-again spirit) within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Spiritual healing begins when we drink into our spirit-man the clean water of the Word of God, renounce the filth and idolatries of this lie-infested world system, and put on the new man, the spirit-man that is created in the image of Jesus. Colossians 3:9-10 “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old (spirit-man) man with his deeds, and have put on the new (spirit-man) man who is renewed in knowledge (of the Word of God) according to the image of Him who created him.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE SYSTEMATIC EXTERMINATION OF CHRISTIA | HoFM

Top of Page END TIMES TEACHING THE SYSTEMATIC EXTERMINATION OF CHRISTIANITY Revelation 6:10-11 “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” The opening of the fifth seal reveals that before the rapture of the church takes place, which by the way takes place after the opening of the sixth seal, that there will be a great slaughter of two types or classes of peoples, and then it defines who those peoples are and the reason why they were killed: Revelation 6:9 “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God and for the testimony which they held.” Who are the fellow servants and who are their brethren, who have been numbered to die a martyr’s death before the Lord returns? In my book Man’s Final Destiny , you can read it in the books section of houseoffaithministries.org, I make the point that the souls under the altar are representative of the Jews who were slaughtered during World War II, since many of them were slain in gas chambers as a burnt offering, that is what the word Holocaust means, and that they died for the testimony which they held, they were just simply killed because they were Jews. It did not matter whether they were practitioners of Judaism or not, since so may innocent children were slain, over a million, who did not even know what religion or creed they belonged to. And I figured that the number of their fellow servants that were yet to be killed would be those Jews that would die later, before and during the invasion that sees Jerusalem surrounded by the armies of the nations of the world; and I’ve arrived at that conclusion because this is the only place in the book of Revelation where the martyrs are not referred to as dying for the testimony of Jesus, but rather for the testimony which they held, basically they were killed because they were Jews by race. But on a closer look of this passage of Scripture, it also seems to include the souls of those martyred for their Christian faith before the return of the Lord and it is symbolic, I believe, of the reunification of the blood of the fellow servants and of their brethren, upon which the original church was founded, since the foundation of the church included the shed blood of both the Jews and the Gentile believers; hence, there is a prophetic implication here of their final unification as one body, the body of the Lord, before He returns to execute His final judgments. Luke 21:17 “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.” The present-day persecution and the hatred perpetrated by the entire world against the Jewish people has been clearly documented and the evidence is irrefutable, just look at the United Nations record and see who it is that they continuously condemn and disapprove of unfairly. What is not clear to many today is, that right now, there is a systematic extermination of Christianity going on, and in many instances we are just talking about nominal Christianity, this persecution is not like the one that has gotten many Christians killed for their fervency and persistency in proclaiming the Gospel in hostile areas, no, this persecution going on right now in many parts of the world is for the simple purpose of eradicating Christianity itself by killing those, like they did the Jews before them, that are Christians even if in name or heritage only. And what might be the most appalling thing in all of this is, that our very own government, the US by its policies, is aiding and abetting the very evil that is taking place against the church of Jesus Christ. In Iraq for example, there was even under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, a large and healthy group of Christian communities. Ever since we liberated that country, those of the Islamic faith have used their freedom, which they did not have under the previous regime, to kill and intimidate Christian communities that have existed there since before Islam was even a religion, to the point that over half of the Christian population has fled the country and many have died, and before long there will be no traces of Christianity left in that nation. We see the same things taking place in Afghanistan, where our soldiers and those of the coalition are still fighting and dying to promote the freedom of those who want to eradicate Christianity forever. Egypt has one of the largest Christian populations of any of the Arab nations in the region, we just gave them some of our very best war planes plus billions of dollars; in thanks for our standing behind their rights to be free from a brutal dictatorship and supporting them with our weapons and treasure, they pay us back by torturing and killing Christians for the purpose of intimidating them to flee the cities and villages where their families have lived since the days of Jesus. The Palestinian areas where many of the Christian holy sites are, and where many Christians have lived for two thousand years, has been decimated buy kidnappings, torture and terrorism against those of the Christian faith so that right now the Christian population of many of those areas is nonexistent. All the while our hard-earned money and support is helping to feed and clothe those who commit these atrocities . Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore thus says the Lord; ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother and everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you’, says the Lord—‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.’” Luke 6:38 “...For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” There has always been the persecution of those, who belong to God either by word or deed, beginning with the first martyr, Abel, whose righteous blood still cries out from the ground for God’s vengeance to be executed on its behalf. The question that we must ask is this: When is the number of both the fellow servants and their brethren who are to be killed completed? Genesis 18:23 “And Abraham came near and said, ‘Would you also destroy the righteous with the wicked?’” In the narrative over the pending destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah Abraham engages in a numbers game with God, in other words, Abraham wanted to know what the ratio of believers to unbelievers in those cities would have to be to bring about the final judgment of God. Genesis 19:4-5 “Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.’” There was one righteous man left in that city and his name was Lot, and because of Lot’s refusal to give into their depravity, they were ready to do away with him. Genesis 19:9 “And they said, ‘Stand back!’ Then they said, ‘This one (Lot) came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.’ So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.” It is obvious from the context that there was no room left for Lot in that city, it was compliance and conformance to their way or else leave or be killed. Notice what their charge is against Lot, and the reason they intend to harm him, he keeps acting like a judge, in other words, who are you to tell us what is right and what is wrong. There are so many parallels here that is scary. First you have a worldwide religion in Islam that, in many instances, when they become the majority rule in the country or in the community as cited earlier, is either what their religion demands, which is total submission to them, that is what the name Islam means by the way, or the only other options are death or exile. The other parallel here that is so frightening is, that in the western nations where traditional Christianity provided what we could say was a model for government, for it offered its citizens freedom for and from religion, that also included freedom of speech and of choice, have now become ensnared in the trap of secular humanism, which demands of its adherents total and complete subjugation to their philosophy, and if you disagree with them because of whatever reason, then, you are classified as a bigot, homophobic, intolerant person that needs to be dealt with. Luke 17:28-30 “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” So that we have a flurry of nations that are forcibly removing from their ranks right now, any trace of Judaism and Christianity, and we have nations that have already done so; and in what is supposed to be the nations that were built on the Judeo-Christian values of Bible teaching, we have a total and complete rejection of the moral and ethical principles upon which they were founded. So, getting back to the numbers game, it is hard for me to see this trend changing anytime soon. There is no enforcement of the moral code of right and wrong anywhere in the world, nations just keep getting away with their evil deeds against those who have no say. I do not see a principled nation that is even able to speak on behalf of the innocent who are being slaughtered, even less one that is able to do something about it. Here in the United States the tales of the horrors that take place in the abortion mills has come to light in the trial of a doctor accused of murdering infants that were aborted but still alive, how their spinal cords were snipped with a scissor or flushed down the toilet while still alive. In another tape you can hear a doctor tell the pregnant mother that her almost full term baby will be killed inside of her before is aborted, she asks him, does that mean that I would have a dead baby inside of me? To which the Doctor responds, think of it as meat in the crock pot. Remember what they said to Lot? Who made you judge? Well, I definitely do not want to be part of this wicked and corrupt generation, I do not want to be a partaker of their judgment, so while I am here, I will not cease to expose their works of darkness to the light of God’s Word. So that when the Son of Man is revealed, I, like Lot, will be ushered out of this Sodom in a great hurry by God’s angels, before God’s destruction rains down from heaven upon this wicked and perverse generation. Revelation 6:14-17 “Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” God has not appointed us to wrath, thank You Lord! But Jesus did say that in this world we would have tribulation; my definition of tribulation is that of what men do to those they persecute for believing what the Word of God says, like what I have been teaching here in this lesson. My definition of wrath is what God does to those who persecute His children that believe what the Word of God says. And it is not pretty what God will do to them. So here are the choices: believe the Word of God and suffer persecution, for many of us here in the west is just verbal and situational persecution right now, and who knows maybe not for long, but for many Christians today who live under the rule of mad man, their persecution is very real, and their trials are excruciating, but their future is very secure, for wherever they go they are God’s holy property. And if you choose to conform with the world for the sake of not being out of step with societal evolution, you will end up wishing that you were under a pile of rocks with a bunch of losers, not that that is going to help you in anyway, for after all, hell is hell forever, whether you believe in it or not. • THE POWER OF GOD | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY THE POWER OF GOD 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” There are two things in life that affect all humans: Wisdom and Power. If we define Power as ruling authority, we are all under the power of authorities that rule over us, no matter what nation we live in. If you are alive somewhere in this world, you are living under somebody’s law/rule. And if we define Wisdom as the ability of those who have power to rule over us, to do it wisely and for the betterment of those over whom they govern, then, there are a lot of foolish people in power. It has been my experience for most of my adult life that those who have power to rule over my actions are always more interested in meeting their own needs instead of mine. Since God is the Almighty, and all wisdom and power originate from Him, it behooves us to understand how the power of an Almighty God is always under the control of His wisdom. How many times do we as humans have wished that God would do something to some fool out there that is out and about doing harm to others through the power that they posses over them? Luke 9:54 “And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, ‘Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?’” If we ever wished that, I guess we were not the first. But we can learn a lot about God’s wisdom from the answer that Jesus gave His disciples. Luke 9:55 “But He turned and rebuked them, and said, ‘You do not know what manner of spirit (influence) you are of (or under). For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.’ And they went to another village.” Here we learn that wisdom is a spirit or an influence, and that foolishness is a spiritual influence as well that can bring much harm. We also learn that the wisdom of God saves men’s life from destruction, and that power in the wrong hands can bring about the destruction of men through the spirit of foolishness working through them. James 3:13 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works (actions) are done in the meekness of wisdom.” So that the wisdom that comes from above, the wisdom that controls the power that has been given to those of us who believe, has a safety that overrides the trigger, this safety is called meekness, and it assures us that the power given to us will not be abused. James 3:15 “This wisdom (foolishness, also known as earthly wisdom) does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.” The so call wisdom of this world, has no safety on its trigger, for it is activated by the human senses, and it goes off when you least expect it. 1 Corinthians 1:20 “Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? Now we understand why deliverance plays such a big role in the ability of Christians to exercise God’s power here on the earth. Worldly Christians whose nature is governed by the sentiments of their flesh, can cause a lot of harm to those whom God is trying to save. Were not the same Samaritans that rejected Jesus at first, that had some disciples wanting to destroy them, that later received the Gospel with joy when Phillip preached to them about the resurrected Christ? Which brings us back to the mechanism that controls the trigger of the power of God that has been vested on those of us who believe: 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” So that the power of God that has been vested on those of us who believe, has to be activated through the cross, something that seems foolish to our carnal mind, for in the cross we see nothing but weakness and death. Let us ask one very basic question first: What kind of power from God has been vested on those of us who believe? Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!” Now if we look at Psalm 149 from the earthly wisdom that God calls foolishness, the church would be an aggressive entity declaring war on the unbelieving nations and warring against them in order to overcome them and to enforce our rule over them. To achieve that we would have to kill the people who oppose our rule, and destroy the nations that do not comply with our Christian doctrine, if that was the church’s doctrine. But if we look at Psalm 149 through the filter of the cross, we find what Jesus taught us, and which is the real doctrine of the church: For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. How do we rightly judge the power of God that has been vested on us through the filter of the cross? Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts (armies) of wickedness in the heavenly places.” The cross opens our eyes to the spiritual reality that our power from God is not to be used against humankind, but rather, against the spiritual wickedness that oppresses humankind. We are to be liberators, not oppressors like them. How does the church implement the power of God that it has been endowed with, for the liberation of humankind? First we identify the enemy; who are the nations, who are the peoples, and who are their kings and who are their nobles, that we are to subdue in accordance with Psalm 149? The kingdom of darkness has a structure, just like the world has a structure wherein the nations fit together. The nations in the world have armies and police units to enforce the rules that empower their rulers over the peoples they govern, it is the same in the kingdom of darkness. It is against the kingdom of darkness that all Christians are called to enforce mastery over, to defeat their nations, and to inflict punishment in their demonic populace, and to do so by capturing their leaders and their nobles and binding them with fetters of iron: that is, to execute on them the written judgment, God’s Word! In summary, we have been empowered by God to fight against a spiritual army of wickedness that resides in the heavenly places, an invisible realm that requires of us to have spiritual discernment. The rulers of this demonic army hide in the darkness of man’s ignorance of their existence, and continuously promote hatred and discord between the human race, so that we are always fighting and blaming one another for the wrong that is all around us, unawares that all the chaos and mayhem is always the result of demonic instigations. John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the and the truth shall make you free.” Truth is enlightenment, if I know that my human adversaries are not my real enemies, then the power of God is activated within me in order for me to defeat the real enemy, which is the spiritual stronghold that rules over my human enemies and causes them to contend against me. So that now I am not just waging war against spiritual forces for the sake of overcoming them, by I see a loftier goal, the liberation of my human comrades who unknowingly have become a weapon of our real enemy, the devil, who manipulates them from the kingdom of darkness. How do I do that? By following and executing God’s written judgments. Luke 6:27-28 “But I say to you who hear: Love your (human) enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” And here is where the cross comes in: Luke 6:36 “Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.” When the mercy that God revealed on the cross towards us humans is our motive, the safety is removed from the trigger of God’s power, for He knows that our aim now is to liberate humanity and not to conquer them. 1 Corinthians 1:23 “But we preach Christ crucified…” The two-edge sword of God’s Word is to be applied both ways, first personally, and then within the Christian community of saints, the local church, that aims to bring deliverance into their areas of influence. Nothing that we ever do as believers, spiritually or in everyday life, can ever be accepted by God except that it dies first on the cross, for its death on the cross of Christ will reveal the true motive behind it; and if the motive for our actions is God’s motive, then it will be resurrected by God and used as a lethal weapon that utterly annihilates the enemy. Colossians 2:15 “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (the cross).” So that true deliverance begins within the motives and intents of our hearts, and as we open our hearts to the introspection of God’s Word, Jesus faithfully takes to the cross all our selfishness and foolish desires, and He nails them there for all to see. But it is there, as our earthly desires languish on the painful and slow death of the cross, that our spiritual eyes are opened to the reality of life, and our priorities begin to change. All of the sudden this world begins to lose its luster and those things that seemed so real to us at one time in life, now look more like refuse and we wonder what in the world it was that ever attracted us to them. It is when a community of saints reach that point of maturity in their personal lives that communal intercession begins to take shape. As our Lord begins to move in them and through them as a single body of believers that begins to shed light upon the darkness that engulfs their community there revival begins to take place and the scales fall from the eyes of those who were walking in darkness as they are exposed to the enlightenment of the power of God, fulfilling our last Scripture. Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Back to Deliverance Ministry

  • THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED | HoFM

Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED Isaiah 63:4 “For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.” Only in the Bible do we find this concept of vengeance and redemption so closely tied together, and to those who are worldly, this duality is very difficult to comprehend. While we, the children of faith, see Jesus and His soon return as our redemption drawing near, the world's concept of His return to the earth evokes fear and judgment, for they see Him as a vengeful God. To understand this duality, we need to understand the concept of justice. Psalm 96:13 “For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.” If you read the entire chapter, you will notice that there is a lot of singing and blessings and praise and offerings and worship, offered to the Lord throughout the entire Psalm 96, before it reaches the last verse which we just quoted, in regards to the judgment of the world. If you have been victimized by someone, when the legal authorities show up to intervene, you are happy, for the authorities come to assist those who have been victimize and to arrest those who were doing the victimizing. However, if you are the law breaker and are the one who is victimizing others, when you see the police show up, you just want to get away as soon as possible, for if they arrest you, you will have to go before the magistrate that will sentence you with the punishment that your crime deserves. So it is that the return of our Lord will always be awaited and celebrated by those who are the oppressed, and it is dreaded by those who are the oppressors. Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” Simply put, the Lord will judge the peoples with His truth. But the truth is that we are all sinners, and we all fall short of the grace of God. Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” So then why were all those folks in Psalm 96 rejoicing so much about the return of the Lord to judge all the peoples with His truth? Psalm 96:2 “Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Those who greatly rejoice about the return of our Lord to the earth, do so, because they have heard and accepted the good news of His salvation. For they know that when He returns, He is coming to deliver those who called upon His name and who have accepted God’s free offer of salvation. Psalm 97:10 “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.” The good news is this: God loves us even though we fall short of His grace, He demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus to die for all our sins. His unconditional love for us compels us to receive His offer of forgiveness and to love Him and trust Him in return. So that when we hear about His soon return, we dot not fret, but rather rejoice in the fact that He is coming to deliver us from this world of sin, and from the hand of the wicked one that continuously oppress us. But to those who have rejected His good news, and have chosen the pleasures of sin for a season, His return can only mean one thing, swift and complete judgment is at hand. Isaiah 63:3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes.” The day of His vengeance and the year of His redeemed have to do with those who are His enemies and with those who are His saints. For He has caused His good news to travel all around the world, He has anointed His Word and revealed His love for us. Those who love Him and hate evil, He will come for and deliver them out of this world. Those who have resisted and rejected the anointed good news, will be judged as enemies who deserve to be destroyed. Isaiah 63:10 “But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.” This may very well be the year of His redeemed, are you ready? Here is a checklist of things that may help us identify whether we are ready for His return if it were to happen this year. Are you inwardly being restrained in your faith and the profession of it? Are you afraid or ashamed to openly declare your faith in Jesus? Matthew 10:32-33 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” You be surprised to know how many people struggle with publicly professing their faith in Jesus, normally in the maturity process we eventually grow bold and overcome those fears. But if this is the year of His redeemed, you may not have that luxury. So, you better begin to make up your mind right now to declare His name openly and without fear. For as His return nears, we have no time for timidity, since we are commanded in: Psalm 96:2 “...Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Today, right now, would be a good time to start proclaiming His good news from day to day. Do you acknowledge Him as the Creator of heaven and earth? Do you acknowledge Him as your heavenly Father, and Jesus His only begotten Son as your redeemer? The world’s aim is to bring doubt into our hearts and minds. The so-called knowledge of the sciences is the vehicle that the devil uses to enter into our minds with his load of doubts. We need to know what the Word of God teaches about the sciences. Colossian 2:8-10 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Science teaches about the things that exist from the point of view of man’s limited understanding. We on the other hand, know the Creator, we believe in the creative power of His uncompromising Word. Do you call on His holy name? Did you know that salvation cannot be attained under any name or anything that is named, except in the name of Jesus? Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” It is all about Jesus my friends, and if this turns out to be the year when He returns to redeem His saints, let us, we the saints, never cease to profess, to acknowledge, and to proclaim His wonderful name boldly! Psalm 107:2 “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Back to Other Teachings

  • DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE | HoFM

Top of Page THE DELIVERANCE MINISTRY DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE Isaiah 46:3-4 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Those who go through the deliverance ministry, sometimes think that it is a one time preposition because of the great results that they received after being delivered from a stronghold that held them back for so long. But in reality, deliverance, like salvation, is a lifelong process that involves every believer, even if they have not gone through ministry under a well trained deliverance team. Not every believer has a stronghold in their lives so powerful that needs outside help in order for them to break loose from it. In this lesson I want to deal with the ministry of deliverance itself and the different kinds of strongholds that afflict so many of God’s children today. Deliverance and salvation are synonymous in the sense that we all need to be saved and we all need to be delivered. Salvation saves us from our sins, deliverance saves us from the consequences of our sins. There is a difference, and awareness of that difference can make all the difference in the world, pardon the pun. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sin is a double edge sword, it cuts both ways, it brings separation and condemnation/consequences. Jesus, the two-edge sword Word of God who became flesh, is faithful and just, faithful to forgive us our sins and just to cleanse us from the consequences of our sins. We can never understand deliverance until we understand the two sides of sin. Let’s say that a person sins against another person, let’s call that sin a violation of trust; let’s say that the offender repents and asks the offended person to forgive them, and let us say that the offended person truly forgives them, it does not necessarily mean that the person that got hurt and forgave the trespasser, will be able to trust them again even if they wanted to, because within our nature we do not like to get hurt. During ministry, many a time I heard the injured party say to me that they cannot let go of the offense, they know that the Scriptures compels them to forgive the offender, yet the pain is so real to them that they cannot bring themselves to forgive because they equate it with having to put their trust on the offender only to get hurt all over again. Forgiving does not mean trusting in their flesh! Philippians 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” God does not put any confidence in the flesh and neither should we, but if we want to worship God in Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, we must be obedient to His Word, that is if we want to be delivered from our inabilities to trust again and be free from the fear of getting hurt. We need a basic understanding of how Jesus is faithful to forgive us, and how He is just to cleanse us from our repeated offenses that just won’t let us go, because of the stronghold that they have over our actions. It all begins with us putting our trust in the covenant! Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie (And He also swore that He would not change His mind 7:21), we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” In the covenant that allows Jesus to be faithful to forgive us our sins and just to cleanse us from their consequences, we find that the God who cannot lie, swore on an oath that He would not change His mind. Here is what it means: when we forgive, we do so in the expectation that the offender will not hurt us anymore by violating our trust once again. If they continue to hurt us after we have truly forgiven them, we, rightly so, change our minds and break away from fellowship with them, and the offender bears the consequences of their sins against us by being deprived of our communion with them, for that might be the only way that we can keep them from hurting us. So that in our natural way of thinking we see our relationship with Jesus in the same frame of mind, since we keep sinning against His Word because of a stronghold in our lives, we derive that He changes His mind toward us and does not want to be around us anymore. Although our hurting others will keep people away from us, we can never drive Jesus away from us, because He promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He swore on an oath that He would not change His mind. So that if we want to see ourselves in the way that Jesus sees us, we need to see those who continue to offend us as Jesus sees them. It is the spirit of Selfish Ambition against the spirit of Self Control! When someone hurts us, our natural response is, they hurt me, we hardly realize that the person hurting us is so hurt that they just simply hurt back others just so that in their minds they get even somehow, that is how the spirit of Selfish Ambition works, it is self-centered. If in the other hand we realize that the person hurting us is under the control of a spiritual stronghold, especially when they have repented in the past and come back and hurt us again, then our mind set can be one of Self Control, for our emphasis is now on the spiritual condition of the offender instead of our own hurt that we are experiencing by their actions against us. In spiritual warfare, once the spirit behind the offense is exposed, that lays the foundation for our victory over them. So that every time that we are offended we have an opportunity for a double victory. If we do not take the offense personal, we do not get hurt, for we say to ourselves, this is not about me, they are the ones that have a problem. Then we can direct our focus to the person that needs to be set free from their strongholds, we can do that by putting them on our prayer list and asking Jesus on a regular basis to bring deliverance into their lives, or if a door is opened for us to minister to them, because we did not take it personally when they hurt us, then we can lead them into the truth that Jesus loves them and will never leave them no matter what, and if they see that demonstrated in us they will know that it is for real. How do we identify strongholds? Selfish Ambition is always rooted in idolatry, and at the heart of idolatry is self-worship, for it cries, is all about Me. When we get offended it is because Me got in the way. But how can I keep from getting hurt you may ask? Next time that you get offended ask yourself this question, Who is offending Me, the person or a spirit within the person? If your answer is, it is the person, then it becomes personal to you, it also becomes a trap for your soul, for Jesus died for that person’s soul just as much as He died for your own soul, and now you find yourself embroiled in a dispute with a person that was created by God and in the image of God. But if your answer is, it is the spirit within that person that is offending me, then now you become one with Jesus in the indignation that one of His creatures has been taken captive by the devil to do his will. So that your prayer to Jesus would go something like this, Dear Lord Jesus, look what that spirit is doing to your child, please Lord set them free! We may not realize it, but that is probably one of the most powerful prayers that we will ever pray, for a prayer like that cannot come from us, but from the Spirit of God that dwells within us. Matthew 5:44-45 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” How can we be different if we behave like the rest of the world? In our opening Scripture God says that from the womb, even to our old age He carries us, and ends by telling us that He will deliver us. What that means is that whatever happened to us, no matter how bad, or how evil, how unthinkable, or how depraved, He will deliver us! We can on one hand, blame our past for our present circumstances and lash out at others from the midst of our wretched condition; on the other hand, we can use those past experiences as a platform to launch our deliverance mindset that in everything, all things always work out for our own good, because He loves us and He carries us to victory no matter what. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” All we have to do is reject Selfish Ambitions and embrace His spiritual fruit of Self Control. • SIMON MAGUS | HoFM

Top of Page OTHER TEACHINGS SIMON MAGUS Acts 8:9-11 “But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery (magic) in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great, to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, ‘This man is the great power of God.’ And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries (magic) for a long time.” In Acts chapter eight we are privy to a real life encounter between the power of darkness that flowed through Simon the magician, and the power of light demonstrated through the apostolic anointing that flowed through Simon Peter. Sometimes it takes a real fake to recognize what the real thing is. When I described the power flowing through Simon the magician as fake, I do not mean that his power was not real or that it was not great, what I mean is that it wasn’t from God. Acts 8:5-8 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city.” Did Simon Magus really believe that his power was from God? Maybe, but whether he was deceived or complicit in the matter at this time, is not what’s important here. Because when Simon saw the great miracles that flowed out of Philip’s ministry, we are told that he also believed the message that Philip was preaching, He, Simon the magician, was baptized and followed Philip’s ministry. Acts 8:13 “Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with (follow) Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs that were done.” The difference between magic and the real thing is that in magic the magician makes you believe something that is not real, through his manipulation of reality, while the real thing is always self-evident. The way it works is, if the magician or sorcerer can make people believe that his power comes from the real God, then the people’s own faith in the real God will heal them, while he, the magician or sorcerer takes credit for the miracles. So that Simon Magus had no problem recognizing, number one that, the miracles that were flowing out of Philip’s ministry were the real thing, and number two, that Philip had greater abilities than the ones that he, Simon Magus possessed, and that is why he followed Philip. Acts 8:14-19 “Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, ‘Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.’” Here we see what Simon Magus saw from his perspective, the source of Philip’s power came from the laying on of the apostles’ hands. After all, Jesus had told His apostles, “You will receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” In Simon Magus thinking, if you can own the source of the power, then you can control it, and give or sell it to whomever you want to. Isn’t that how some ministries try to operate today? Their desire is to control the actions of the Holy Spirit, and in some instances, for the right price or service, the anointing can be given as reward for their faithfulness to their ministry, or so they think. Acts 8:20 “But Peter said to him, ‘Your money perish with you, because you though that the gift of God could be purchase with money!’” Peter’s rebuked of Simon Magus establishes once and for all that God’s apostolic anointing cannot be earn nor manipulated, it is a direct result of God’s sovereign calling and empowerment. Which leads me into the reason why I am writing this lesson on the first place. Revelation 2:2 “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars.” In the early church there was a flood of ministers that claimed to have the apostolic calling and did not, Simon Magus being one of them. Simon Magus has a long secular history of trickery and manipulation that he perpetrated against the church, while he claimed to be part of it, in spite of Peter’s rebuke against him. That same spirit, whose root is magic, or sorcery, is alive and well today, causing many of the saints to lose heart because of the ways that it manipulates the truth, especially as it pertains to prophecy. Mark 13:5 “...Take heed that no one deceives you.” As the return of Jesus draws near, the propaganda and manipulation against God’s prophetic truth is in high gear, as Jesus warned us. The airwaves are filled with so called prophecies of non-biblical origin, that pretend to be in the same, or even in some cases higher level, than that of biblical prophecies. Their intent of course is to equate secular prophecies with true biblical prophecy, so that when the false prophecies fail, people will fill the same way about biblical prophecy. Recent examples can be found in the end of time predictions that were attributed to the Mayan calendar, which got more credence with secular prophets than any biblical true prophet ever did. The same way with the Nostradamus predictions and the many others put forth, that were in many cases, a manipulation or private interpretation of some old sayings. The most recent case being that of the, I believe, Irish monk of many centuries ago named Malachy, that’s supposed to have predicted the names and order of the pope’s that lived and ruled long after his death. He is supposed to have predicted that the pope that was just installed is to be the last pope before Christ’s return, and that his name was to be, I believe, Peter Romanus, of course the newly elected pope selected to go by the name Francis, so there goes that “prophecy”. John 8:31-32 “...If you abide in My word, you are My disciples. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” I know that the temptation to go with secular speculation is great, but we must resist it, because it is, simply put, a manipulation of God’s truth, designed for no other reason than that of undermining the veracity of God’s true prophetic words. Revelation 3:2-3 “Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.” NIV We the church, the body of Jesus Christ, are living in what can truly be described as perilous times, for us the church. Which have come as a result of us elevating secular teachings to the same level as God’s biblical truth, and in some cases higher than biblical truths. For instance, many Christians believe that evolution is part of the creation process due to the secular teaching that the earth is billions of years old. If one follows along those lines of trying to appease secularism, then before long you wind up believing that the resurrection from the dead is nothing more than a metaphor instead of a reality. I wonder how many of those secular humanists have woken up to the reality of hell and then realized that it was too late for them. Wake up! Before is too late for you. In the same way that Simon Magus manipulated truth and made people believe that he was someone great, by the “miracles” that he projected, there are many “miracle” workers today, especially in the scientific arena, that make claims and boasts of things that are nothing more that assumptions based on their distortion of reality. Do you really think that if secular humanists discover something that confirms the truth that the Word of God teaches, that they will tell you? If you do, you do not know the lying ways of devil at all, nor how his manipulative schemes work. You will not know at what time I will come to you. The above verse captures the essence of what the lying spirits of this world are trying hard to accomplish. They are hard at work trying to prevent Christians from knowing the signs of the time. Truth and falsehoods can never combine, I mean, lies mix with anything, but truth can never be corrupted. Truth will never endorse a lie. That is what the temptation of Jesus by the devil was all about. Satan was saying to Jesus, if you endorse (worship) me, I will give to you back everything that I stole from Adam and You won’t have to die on the cross to get it. Well as you know, Jesus who is Truth would not endorse the lie (the devil) even at the cost of dying on the cross for our sins. So that when Christians entertain the falsehoods and perversions of this world, and try to mix them with the Word of God’s Truth, so that they fit in together nicely, guess what happens, the truth is not in them anymore, and when that happens, they do not have a clue as to what’s coming their way. 1 John 2:4-5 “He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, (or stays true to God’s Word) is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (truth will not mix with any form of lies) But whoever keeps His Word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” The only thing that will protect God’s church from the evil time that we are living in, is His pure unvarnished Word, His Truth, and the revelation and enlightenment that they provide to us when we do not compromise His Word. Look all around you, as a believer, do you yearn for days past when God’s anointing was palpable in so many of His houses of worship. Where has the anointing gone? So many Christians wonder today what happened to it, it left the minute they believed the lie, the second they compromised the truth. Yet that anointing never left the true believers that hold true to God’s Word, however it left with them, as they left their dead churches behind. 1 John 2:20-21 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know (because you have not compromise God’s truth) all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and (you know as well) that no lie is of the truth.” It’s true that there is a great deal of contamination out there, and that there are many so called leaders, both secular and in the church, that do not have a clue as to their true spiritual condition. So, it falls upon us to pray and to interceded on their behalf, let our prayers for them be in accordance with Scripture, Ephesians 5:14. Wake up sleepy heads, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light! My version. Let us remember that the only thing that is going to keep us from the hour of testing that is soon coming to test all the inhabitants of the world, is our firm belief in the veracity of God’s Infallible Word, and an uncompromising belief in the deity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and His physical resurrection from the dead. Revelation 3:8/10 “…(you) Have kept My Word, and have not denied My Name (His deity) ...I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell in the earth.” Back to Other Teachings
