Introduction: 2 Timothy 1:9 "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." Before time began means that before God created our universe, He not only had a purpose for creating it—which had been hidden from us—but within that purpose was also intricately hidden the mystery of grace, and both were destined to be revealed to us in Christ Jesus. Romans 16:25 "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret (hidden) since the world began." I believe this mystery to be the revelation of the purpose behind the creation which is two-fold, God's purpose and grace. Now we who presently know God's mercy and have tasted of the sweet nectar of God's grace towards us, in the salvation that we now enjoy in Jesus, have also been given the privilege to know the hidden purpose behind the creation in which we now exist. Romans 11:33 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God (God's purpose and grace)! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" It is with confidence in the abilities given to us by the Holy Spirit through the power of His grace that works within us, that we now endeavor in searching out what God's real purpose was behind the creation of our universe, and how grace was the bulwark that sustained that purpose. Daniel 2:22 "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." I believe the key that unravels the mystery behind the purpose for the creation lies in understanding the meaning of darkness and its interaction with the light. We could also call it the struggle between good and evil. In either case, the true revelation of the mystery behind the creation can only bring glory to God and to Jesus Christ, who is the manifestation of God's grace, through whom also the abilities to reveal such secrets is given to us. Daniel 2:47 "…'Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.'" You can read the free book here . The Difference between the Spirit and the Soul This is an area that is not dealt with often enough from church pulpits. What is the difference between my soul and my spirit? And how does lack of knowledge on this subject affect my walk with Christ? Knowing the difference between your soul and your spirit can mean the difference between walking is shame, guilt and condemnation or walking in total and complete freedom from guilt, shame and condemnation. Let me begin by stressing that the Bible makes a clear distinction between the soul and the spirit, and if we understand that their interaction affects how our physical bodies respond to any given situation, it will teach us how to walk in self-control, which is the completion of spiritual fruit. I Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Paul clearly segregates the two, spirit and soul as dwelling within our physical bodies. But by introducing God as the God of peace Himself, Paul implies that there is a relation between spirit and soul that brings peace or the lack thereof, depending upon their interaction. In order to know how the spirit and the soul interact within our bodies, and how their interaction affects our behavior, we need to understand their individual nomenclature. The Greek word used by Paul in the above passage for spirit is the word “Pnyoomah” Strong’s concordance # 4151 and it means Breath (blast). The Greek word used for soul is the word “Psookhay” Strong’s concordance # 5590 and it also means Breath. We get a clearer picture from Genesis 2:7 “And the Lord God formed man (the body) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (the spirit); and man became a living being (the soul).” The words for breath and spirit are pretty much interchangeable in both the Hebrew and Greek languages. You can read the book for free here . INTRODUCTION Colossians 1:15-18 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” The concept of “the firstborn” when applied to Jesus can be kind of troublesome in the minds of some believers and perhaps many, especially as we consider the fact that Jesus is God Eternal who has always been and shall forever be. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not.” KJV “The firstborn over all creation” Just what do the Scriptures mean when they refer to Jesus as being the firstborn over all creation? We can make the argument as I do in my book “Man’s Final Destiny” that “The Word of God” is the second person of the Godhead (John 1:1), and that through Him “The Word of God” all things were created, since God Spoke everything into existence by saying “Let there be…!” And that The Eternal Word did not become flesh until He entered into the body that was prepared for Him some two thousand years ago, namely Jesus: (John 1:14), the physical body, into whom The Word entered and became flesh. “He is before all things” However, Paul appears to be making this statement directly about Jesus the Word incarnate, since in verse 13 of the same chapter he writes: “…Conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” And in others Scriptures as well, some quoted in the letter to the Hebrews, it seems to be making the same point of a beginning or starting point for the Son. Hebrews 1:5-6 “For to which of the angels did He ever say: ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You’? And again: ‘I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son’? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him.’” “The beginning, the firstborn from the dead” Meanwhile this phrase seems to imply that its beginning should be applied only to the time immediately after the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Obviously there is more to these Scriptures that meets the eye. Was there a transformative event that took place with the works of creation that God somehow used to represent Himself into a form or manner into the likes of which He had never revealed Himself? In other words, did the God that does not change, transformed Himself into something new, something that had never existed before? In this writing I intend to shed light on the mysteries hidden within the history of creation as presented in the Bible. Hopefully to expound on the premises on which God has founded His works: like… Did the God that never changes really transform Himself into something new? You can read the entire book here for free. The Mechanics of the Day of the Lord Joel 2:1 “Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand.” What is the Day of the Lord? According to Revelation 11:18 it is the Day of God’s wrath! When God will judge both the living and the dead, and God will reward the prophets and the saints. Revelation 11:18 “The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth (with the spiritual corruption of their lying wonders and all forms of delusion).” Isaiah 34:8 “For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, the year of recompense (wrath) for the cause of Zion.” Italics, in brackets, and in bold added by me for emphasis. It is my belief that the Day of the Lord will begin as a response to the nation of Israel being invaded by a confederacy of nations whose leader originates from the north of Israel. God will not be reacting to the actions of these nations but rather will induce these nations to act on His behalf in order for Him to judge them on His Holy Land at God’s appointed time. Ezekiel 38:1-6 “Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, thus says the Lord God: Behold I am against you, O Gog the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the far north and all its troops—many people are with you.” A comprehensive list is given of all of the participants in the above verses, who will all be compelled to participate in this invasion of the nation of Israel. Why is God initiating all of this? Ezekiel 38:16 “You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes.” The God of Israel is going to manifest Himself to the entire world as the All Mighty God when He annihilates in an instant all these nations that set themselves against the nation of Israel. You can read the book for free here. THE POWER OF THE BENEDICTION Leviticus 9:23 "And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of meeting, and came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people." We are living in the age of power, since the industrial revolution took place it seems that machines just keep getting bigger and more powerful. It is amazing to see the great wonders that human engineering has accomplished, not only in size and power, but also in scope and complexity. We have machines that can strip and remove entire mountains, we have machines that can tunnel under the mountains and even under the sea to connect land masses, we even have machines so delicate that they can do surgery on a human body. They are even coming out with machines that can read our thought patterns. But the most powerful force in the entire universe is not generated by steam, electricity, or even man's ability to harness nature's wonders, the most powerful force in the universe resides in the words that come out of the human mouth. How can that be possible you may ask? Let me ask you this, what was the power source that created the entire universe? It was Words! Hebrews 11:3 "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." According to science everything that exists in the universe came into being as the result of a tremendous release of energy that came out of nothing that was visible, but they do not know what was the cause that released all that energy, but the Bible emphatically tells us that it was the spoken Word of God. Genesis 1:3 "Then God said, 'Let there be light (energy)'; and there was light." The earth, or that which is tangible, was without form and void, that is it could not be ascertained, measured, or comprehended, for it was darkness from the face of the deep, and it took the spoken Word of God to give it form and to bring it into our physical reality. Assignment: Everything that would weaken godly rule for the purpose of seizing and/ or retaining control. Pnyoomatikos = Spiritual: Non-carnal. Wicked spirits in the lower heaven. Ponayreeah = Depravity: Who bring perversion, malice, plots of sins. (Malevolence) Epooraneeos = High: Their assignment is to create an atmosphere of tolerance and self indulgence.
