Inspired Teaching: For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Isaiah 30:18 “Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you: and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.” What a beautiful revelation of God’s grace and mercy toward us, and how He, who patiently waits for us to be ready to receive His mercy and grace, blesses us when we faithfully wait for Him in return—to return. Notice first of all that God is presented here as, For the Lord is a God of justice. And secondly that He is Gracious and May have mercy on you. The Lord waits, that means that He longs for us to be ready to receive His grace and mercy, which can only be received by accepting Jesus as our Savior and Lord. For only in Jesus can the Lord of Justice freely dispense His mercy and His grace to those who do not deserve it. Hebrews 1:8 “But to the Son He says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of (justice) righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.’” Only Jesus can dispense God’s justice—which includes His mercy and His grace—for it was with His own blood that Jesus paid in full the entirety of all human sins. That is why the Lord waits for humans to come to their senses, repent, and receive the mercy and grace that He has made available to all who believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins. Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: ‘In returning (repentance) and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.’ But you would not.” The reality is that many choose to reject the Lord’s free offer of salvation. But that does not deter God, for He waits—even to our last breath—for us to enter into His rest. But there is a very specific blessing that is attached to those, who like God who is patient, learn to be patient, and in quietness and confidence wait as the Lord waits, and in the process they end up renewing the strength of their salvation. Isaiah 40:31 “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.” A truth that many Christians do not know, is that God has assigned a very specific blessing to those who eagerly wait for His return: Blessed are all those who wait for Him. Revelation 1:3 “Blessed is He who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” Revelation 22:20 “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” What is this very specific blessing all about? I believe this to be a three-fold blessing that applies to those who eagerly await for the Lord to return and to take them home to be with Him. • The first blessing assures us of the removal of all our sorrows. • The second blessing guarantees that He hears us at the very sound of our cry for help. • The third blessing is an anointing for learning spiritual discernment. Isaiah 30:19 “For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem; you shall weep no more. He will be very gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.” The first-fold blessing is, You shall weep no more! No more sorrows. Isaiah 25:8 “He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.” The main root of sorrow is hopelessness; Jesus nailed sorrow on the cross and after He rose from the dead, He spoiled its fruit of hopelessness. Those who truly await the return of Jesus and the resurrection of the saints, have abolished all sorrows from their lives, for sorrow has to do with loss, and every thing that we’ve surrendered to Jesus, He is able to keep safe and secured until it is restored back to us. Matthew 6:20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” How can a person who is not even sure that Jesus is physically coming back to this earth, to restore to us all the good things that we have lost for His sake, be without sorrow? For where there is no hope, sorrow remains. Isaiah 65:23 “They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.” Clearly Isaiah is referring to the Kingdom Age of which all of God’s saints will be a part of. The first part of the three-fold blessing given to the descendants of the blessed, is the blessing of restoration. So that we do not sorrow like those who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep (died), lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.” Those who eagerly await for the return of Jesus are waiting for the promised restoration as well—no loss, no sorrow! The second-fold blessing has to do with the assurance that God hears us. Isaiah 65:24 “It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.” Faith comes as the result of that which we are hoping for. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” If we dare to believe that Jesus is coming soon to restore all things, and we live our lives based on that hope, then surely, we know that at any point in time—if we cry out to Him—that He will hear us. Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (faith, hope and love).” The third-fold blessing is the anointing for spiritual discernment. Isaiah 30:20 “And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction (oppression), yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers.” If our hope is in the resurrection from the dead and the return of Jesus to implement God’s final restoration, then adversity and affliction are nothing more than teachers that God uses to train us as to the hearing of His voice. Isaiah 30:21 “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.” Who would have thought that having a firm belief about the soon return of Jesus Christ would be so beneficial to us? It is like waiting to be seated at a crowded restaurant on mother’s day, and they give you a gizmo that lights up and vibrates when your turn has come. Those of us who eagerly await for our Lord to appear have been given an array of very wonderful blessings. Philippians 3:20-21 “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” So, we wait, patiently, hopefully, and faithfully for our Lord to return. But we do so with the hope that everyday that He delays His return, we become more cheerful, more secure in the fact that He hears us, and more intuitive about our high spiritual calling. Isaiah 30:29 “You shall have a song as in the night when a holy festival is kept, and gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, to come into the mountain of the Lord, to the Mighty One of Israel.” Previous Next Home

In Jesus’ name amen! 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. What is the anointing? It’s something that God gives you, the believer, that abides in you. It allows you to be taught the Word of God by this ‘anointing’ and not man. It is truthful and not misleading nor is it contaminated by man’s way of thinking or beliefs. First, we need to ask ourselves what is the anointing because once we recognize what that is, we can move to the next step, abiding in Him, to activate this anointing. Acts 2:2-3 NKJV 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them [a]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. On April 9, 1906, we saw this same thing happen on Azusa street, downtown Los Angeles. Here’s an except of the event on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azusa_Street_Revival On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God on Bonnie Brae Street, "when suddenly, as though hit by a bolt of lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor," and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout out loud praising God. The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; and a few days later Seymour himself received the Holy Spirit; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down under the power of God as they approached; people were baptized in the Holy Spirit and the sick were healed and sinners received salvation.[2] This is the same thing that happened when the 120 individuals were in the upper room waiting after Jesus ascended into heaven in Acts chapter 2. The anointing has physical attributes. It’s a mighty rushing wind that comes. It feels like being hit by a bolt of lightening. It physically feels like you’re knocked down and folks start speaking in tongues that people will recognize as their own language. Acts even describes those tongues as fire on top of each of those persons. You may want to take a moment to read Acts chapter 2. It also draws a lot of attention. In both Acts and Azusa street revivals, people were drawn, saved, healed, and delivered. Is this anointing dead? I ask this question because I don’t see this happening today, June 13, 2021. Why don’t we see it anymore? If it happened in Acts and on Azusa street, it can happen today and we know it will happen just before the return of the Lord on that great and dreadful day of the Lord: Acts 2:17-20 NKJV 17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. So, if this should happen in the end times, we need to take a closer look at this and be ready for it because we’re already seeing people have dreams and visions. We saw Israel became a name in 1947. We saw Jerusalem become the capital in 1967. We saw the pestilence of covid, we’re seeing large earthquakes, we’re seeing wars and rumor of wars – Matthew 24, Luke 21, Jeremiah 30:3, etc. One very important factor to notice about Acts and the Azusa street revival is at the beginning of both events. People were waiting in a dwelling place. Let’s read 1 John 2:27 again… 1 John 2:27 NKJV 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you [a]will abide in Him. Notice the last statement: ‘will abide in Him’. What does it mean to ‘abide in Him’ and why is that important? Jeremiah 30:18a NKJV “Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents, And have mercy on his dwelling places; Jeremiah 30:21b-22 NKJV Then I will cause him to draw near, And he shall approach Me; For who is this who pledged his heart to approach Me?’ says the Lord. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” First, Jeremiah tells us that the Lord will bring back the captivity of Jacob’s tents – dwelling place. Where you are, is your dwelling place. Jeremiah tells us that God will have mercy on that dwelling place. Mercy means forgiveness. Where you are, ask God to forgive you. As Job did it all the time for himself, and his family, we should do so always also. I suggest reading the book of Job at your earliest convenience. Second, once you have that mercy, how should you respond? How do you show your thankfulness. Read Jeremiah 30:22 again. 22 ‘You shall be My people, And I will be your God.’ ” In your dwelling place, say this: “God, I belong to You and You belong to me”. That’s one way to say thank you. Or another words, praise and worship Him. Say things that acknowledges God is great. Here are a couple of scriptures that praises God: Matthew 21:42 NKJV 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: ‘The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the Lord’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’? You can call Him the chief cornerstone knowing that He is marvelous. Psalm 8:1 NKJV 8 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! You can tell Him how great is His name and how His glory is above the heavens. I’ll let you take the adventure from here to explore other ways from the Word of God on what to say during praise and worship. Now that you’re in the dwelling place, declaring that God belongs to you and you belong to God, now you wait. The 120 waited – Acts 2…William Seymour and those seven men waited. You wait knowing that: Joel 2:28-32 NKJV (This is what Peter quoted in Acts 2 beginning in verse 17 (read earlier) 28 “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. 29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. 30 “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. 32 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be [a]saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be [b]deliverance, As the Lord has said, Among the remnant whom the Lord calls. It’s time to be in that waiting place, dwelling in the secret place with God, being a part of that remnant the Lord calls, because His end is coming and we need to be ready to CATCH THE ANOINTING! This message is called You Are God's Choice of Weapon. I'm excited about this message, folks. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for the anointing of your word. We thank you for the presence of your spirit upon our ears and minds to see, hear, receive, and believe the living word of God. We thank you for your word and we ask that we apply it to our lives. Live it the way you're asking us to live it, Father God. That we are walking in godliness and righteousness with you in a deep, passionate relationship. Thank you, Father God, for you are awesome. You are God. You are my God, my King, my Lord, and my Savior. I belong to you. You belong to me. Thank you, Father God. In the glorious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. And amen. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here. This is called, "You are God's choice of weapon." We're opening up with Jeremiah 51:20. Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war. For with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee I will destroy kingdoms. You guys, this is an awesome powerful scripture in the living word of God. Now, let's put some context behind it here so that you can understand what God is doing here. So, we the nation of Israel is at a point in in its life where it's going to go into captivity and it has done so here. Uh we are at the end of Jeremiah. This is Jeremiah 51. So, at the end of Jeremiah here, they are in captivity and they will be in captivity for 70 years. Now, um you can go in and read the whole thing about Israel and what they've done to get into captivity. You've got good kings, evil kings, goes up and down and and here we are at this point where they're now in captivity and basically they're being destroyed. Um they're being killed. But God is prophesying through Jeremiah here that you're going to be a weapon of war. Now, I want you to understand something here. The scripture just doesn't apply to Israel back then. Keep in mind that when we become a believer in Christ, we are brought into the nation of Israel. We are grafted in. We are adopted in because Jesus is Israel. He's um an heir through the line of the king of David. So because that he's Israeli, he's a Hebrew, we are adopted into that and that is what we are. So this applies to us and this is very spiritual scripture because I want you to see something. It says, "Thou art my battle axe." Now that word axe there means war club and weapons. Look at this. Something prepared, a vessel that is prepared. We're going to look into scripture here talking about different vessels and what the Lord does with these vessels. But a prepared vessel is the choice of God to use as a weapon against other nations, against strongholds, against captivities. You know, I have been teaching in deliverance here this entire time about prayer and using your words to break through things. You're going to see that happen here with this. And you're going to see the Lord move in this. He says, "For with thee." So in other words, God in Israel, God in me, will I break in pieces or dash or scatter the nations and with thee, God in me, will I destroy, decay, put into ruin, batter, cast off, perish kingdoms, which is dominion, or the country. So these kingdoms and dominions that we have all around of us, we're going to battle those with God because God chooses us as his weapon. This is absolutely incredible. So I want you to understand the concept of what I'm going to be teaching here as I get into the next set of scriptures. But I want to give you uh uh something to look at uh that will help you understand this because we see it in nature surprisingly. So this this is already here. This is a principle that God has placed out here in the world for you and I to walk in and know and live by. Amen. So here, take a look at it. Think of a lioness and her cubs. What does a lionist do with her cubs? She teaches them how to find their food, how to take care of themselves, and they have to fight some big giant animals to get whatever it is that they're going to get. And you know, it's interesting how she does it. She starts them off young. Now, she'll bring them their food. you know, as they get a little older, she brings it or she'll start to maim an animal, say a deer, partially ma it, and then teach her cubs how to fully destroy it and kill it. And then they're satisfied with food. And then as they get older, then she will stand off a little further away, watch her cubs go into action, and take the ash. This is God doing this with us, his believer, the people he has prepared in advance. You and I are walking in righteousness. And if you've been watching my videos, we're walking in righteousness and godliness because we choose to put God first because we dwell in the secret place with the Lord. So, he's taking us from here because we purposed in our mind to have that relationship with God. But he's taking us from here and he's going to bring us up here now because he's trying to show us how to go to war and how to be victorious in every battle. We've already won the war, but now we're dealing with battles that we face every day. There are battles of cancer or some sort of sickness and disease. There are battles of financial uh issues where you have no money. There's battles where you're in bondage with a spirit of fear or anxiety or anything of that nature. Well, God has purposed in his heart to teach you how to deal with that. So, he's going to choose you how to deal with it. He's going to walk you through that. And you're going to be able to walk through it. And it's going to be absolutely incredible because you are going to have a release, a victorious release in the name of Jesus. and you're going to take back what the devil's taking. You know, if you go to the end of Revelation, I can look up the scripture. I didn't bring it here, but I'm just recalling off the top of my mind. But when we're there in the kingdom and the judgment's taking place, a lower ranking angel brings over chains to put on the devil to bind them up for a thousand years. Well, that John actually records in Revelation the reaction of the people, you and me. Our reaction is that little puny thing gave me all this hardship. Let me also bring to mind uh something that's going to help you understand this. So, as a lioness is teaching her cubs how to fight, what is it? She's right there with them. She's nudging them, pushing them along, showing them how to take down the animal, how to be victorious in the kill. Well, God is right here with us. He's nudging us. He's showing us how to pray. He's telling you, "Nothing's going to hurt you. I got you. You're protected. I just want you to go and take down the enemy." You see, you're his chosen weapon. Well, in order to become that chosen weapon, you need to be walking in a right standing with God because one, you need to be able to hear him. You need to be able to know it's his voice. You need to be able to know the word of God in order to do this because you need to know what scriptures to apply. So, what does that mean? You dwell in the secret place. You open the word of the God, the word of the living God, and you begin to know it, know him. And every time you're praying, you're sharing the scriptures there and taking down strongholds. So let's go to Romans. I want you to see this now in action. Romans 9 19-26. You see Paul realized what was going on, how God was doing this. And and you know, just to add one more element to this. So here's God up here. Satan has no chance against God. If you go again, read the end of that revelation, you will find when Jesus comes down on his white horse and we're following him, there's actually no battle. It's just all of a sudden, like in the next scripture, you see them all bound up. The beast and the prophet are bound up. They don't have a chance at all. So that, you know, it isn't a God versus Satan kind of scenario here. And I taught on this a few years ago. You can go look it up on the website, houseof faithministries.org, but you know, it's now Satan versus us. It's just the two of us battling. So, the question I have for you is, do you want to let Satan rule your life or do you want to live in victory in the flesh while we're here waiting for our eternity? I hope you make the right choice. Okay? I hope you make the right choice. Let's go to Romans nine. We're going to start in verses 19. We're going to read verses 19 through 26. Let's start in verse 19. Thou wilt say thee then unto me, why do he yet find fault? For who hath resisted or stand against his will? Nay, but oh man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, why hast thou made me thus? Why hast thou made me thus? to be a weapon to bring down strongholds and to be serving God in righteousness and godliness, which we can do. We don't have to live by the flesh. You're going to see that here more. But I want you to see some key words here. Resisted. You're you're standing against the will of God. When you're not doing the things he asks you to do, when you're not spending time with him in the secret place, you are another word for it is rebel. You're rejecting God. You're finding fault with his principles with what he does because it's why why does he do this? Why do uh bad things happen? Hey, you know, you need to get into the word of God. One, you will find your answer. Two, you will also know that God is in control. And because he's in control, you have to line yourself up with him so that he can nudge you, push you gently in the right direction of what to pray for, what to bring down, and be the effective weapon he called you to be. Amen. Verse 21. hath not the potter uh power privilege over the clay of the same lump to make one vessel unto honor value and another unto dishonor, disgrace, infamy. You know what Paul is saying here is God has made vessels for good and he has made vessels for evil. And I believe that every vessel has the opportunity to choose to be good and have the opportunity to repent and call on the name of Jesus. Now, if he didn't make it fully for um evil and they continued to reject, God hardened Pharaoh's heart and kept hardening his heart all the way through. He says, "I gave up Egypt for you, Israel." This is what he says. Things, see, God has a purpose and a plan that is to the benefit of Israel, that is to the benefit of his righteous people. You see, he will give up things for you because he loves you. So much so that he gave up his only begotten son for you. Jesus redeemed us and then Jesus rose from the grave and now he is more victorious than ever. And so we have him to follow as an example which what did he do when he walked out? He healed the sick. He delivered people. He cast out demons. He brought down strongholds. He resisted the devil in the wilderness for 40 days. I'm telling you, the things that Jesus did, and I just taught it in last week's message, we will do and do greater. We're taking down strongholds. We're delivering people from bondage and captivity. And we are setting free those captives. And we are healing the sick, which means we need to be in right standing with God, hearing the word so we know what to do, when to say, how to say it. Amen. Amen. Verse 22. What if God willing to show his wrath and to make his power known declare himself powerful or capable endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction? So let's read this uh without the parentheses and the extra words. What if God willing to show his wrath to make his power known endured with much long suffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction? See what Paul is saying is he made these things for destruction. so his power can be known. He did it. He's in control of all this. That's the answer to the big giant. Why? He decided he goes, "I want to make my power known. I want to declare myself powerful and capable that I'm able to protect you, keep you safe, but I want to use you as it." You see, God has his way. We should not ever limit God in how he wants to do something or how he wants to accomplish a goal. It's amazing. You know, you I I remember using it as a personal testimony. I was dealing with diabetes back in the day, and I remember saying, "Why, God, are you not making my meter match what the doctor's numbers were?" Because that's what I was limiting my prayer to with God. And he he said, "Who's your doctor? Me or that doctor?" And I it was a big eye opener. And I'm healed and delivered of all that today because I'm not under what these doctors are telling me because I don't believe half of what they say. And I really truly believe that, you know, if if I'm a Rolls-Royce that God has created, then I should go back to my creator and not go to Jify Lube for maintenance. Okay? I'm sorry, but these doctors, you know, I know they mean well, but they are under an influencer of the spirit of evil and they don't even realize that they're under witchcraft. What? What? Every time you take a drug, it only deals with the symptom. It doesn't deal with the root. So, you just keep it's perpetual. You just spending your money. all your money's coming out of your pockets into all of these drugs just for relief of a symptom when all you got to do is go to God and say, "You know what, Lord? I'm giving this to you and I cast it to you. I'm going to be free." I'm telling you, he will give you the the right tools, the right scriptures to say that's going to deliver you from those sicknesses and diseases that you face. So, look at verse 23. And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy which he had of prepared. Notice that. I want you to see this. He had a for prepared. And that word prepared there, by the way, is to fit up in advance. When you go dwell in the secret place with the Lord and you start spending time in the scripture, you're reading it, you're speaking it, you start praying it, and the Holy Spirit starts to teach you how to pray. He is preparing you in advance. You are the vessel being prepared for his tool, his weapon. Amen. This is him preparing. You need to be prepared. Every soldier that goes into war goes into war prepared physically, spiritually. A lot of them tend to pray to whatever god that they're going to pray, but they tend to prepare for that. They get all their weapons, all of the um bullets they need, the swords they need, whatever it is that they need out there, they prepare. They even put in their their uh backpacks and what have you. All the the little foods and snacks and stuff that they need to sustain themselves in a war, the food and they've got to have their weapons. And this is why militaries provide all this for their people. This is why they need their convoys coming in behind the scenes preparing. But this is what God does to the body of Christ. He's preparing us, getting us ready, getting all of our weapons ready, which is the spoken word of God. is one of the weapons and to know it is to get in it and re receive it, believe it. Say it in your prayers. Amen. Amen. Verse 24, even as whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles. You see, he's also saying, listen, I'm the one who's teaching to the Gentiles. You can read that in other scriptures because that's the calling that God placed on his heart. So he's saying it's not the Jews, just the Israelites as Jeremiah was referring to, but he's saying it's for the Gentiles, too. You have the right to pray this way and live this way. You have the the you're the vessel that you could be evil or you could be good, but you have the choice to repent. Everybody has a choice to repent. It says anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And that word any man, anyone means anyone. If you are a vessel of evil, that God has made you as a vessel of evil, you can repent too. This is powerful. Look at verse 25. As he saith also in O, which is Hosea, I will call them my beloved people, which were not my people, and her beloved, which was not my beloved. Again, that's talking about you and I today. We were not the chosen ones. Israel was. We're the ones being grafted in because we choose God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which is the God over Israel. So, we choose the difference between Israel and us is that we become the body of Christ because we believe that Jesus, the Messiah, is the first. He He's the only Messiah, but he's the one. He's already came one time. He's coming back. Israel rejects that. That's a difference between the two of us. But we believe that Jesus is the son of the living God. And it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, "Ye are not my people, there shall they be called the children of the living God." This is you and I. This is what we're called to do. Let's go look at what Paul is referencing here. Hosea 2:23. And I will seow her unto me in the earth. This is God talking. And I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy. And I will say to them which were not my people, thou art my people, and they shall say, Thou art my God. If you take a look at my opening prayer, you are my God, my King, my Lord, and my Savior. I belong to you. You belong to me. I was saying that in prayer because I was directed by the Holy Spirit to do that before I even knew this verse existed. Amen. But look at what he says here. will sew as plant, bear, conceive seed. We're going to manifest the fruits and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We're going to know exactly what to say, when to say, how to say it, and where to say it in the name of Jesus. He's also referring uh Paul is to Hosea 1:10 where he says, "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered. And it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, "Ye are not my people." There it shall be said unto them, "Ye are the sons of the living God." And look what that word sons mean. As a builder of the family name, I want you guys to catch this. This is incredible. See, there's Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. You got David, Solomon. You got Noah, Moses. You have all of the prophets. You have all of the apostles, disciples. You have Paul. These are men and women of God in the living word of God that were written in history because the the Bible is historic. These are real people who lived. And you and I are part of that lineage. And we get to walk in the powers that they walked in in the name of Jesus. Amen. This is the anointing and the call that we have. This is how we go and pray because he's teaching us how to bring down those strongholds. God is so good. God is so good. And yes, I do speak in tongues. So anyways, tonesues are for men and of angels. When you're speaking in tonesues, you are also speaking to the angels around you. Okay, that's for another teaching of another time. Let's go back to Romans 9. Let's look at verse 27. Isaias, which is Isaiah, also crith concerning Israel, though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved, for he will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness. Because a short work with the will the Lord make upon the earth. That word righteousness is equity, justification. But he's going to finish the work and cut it in short. Cut it short in righteousness. So in order for us to be the effective tool that God has called us to be in the secret place is in righteousness, which means you need a purpose in your heart what you're going to do, what how you're going to do it. You know, um, think of it as the medical industry. You got a purpose in your heart. I'm not going to take those pills because I do not want witchcraft in my life. Or I purpose in my heart that I'm going to pray for my loved ones because I want them saved. I'm going to purpose in my heart I'm going to pray for Israel. And you do it. By the way, you do these things. You take these actions. And what does this mean? It means that you're separating time aside of your life for God to be that weapon because you need to be that weapon. We're taking back. You see, we're part of the body of Christ, and we get to take back what was stolen from us. I want you to hear this, and I want you to understand something. The devil has stolen too much already. He has stolen loved ones who have died prematurely from some wicked disease that they got because we didn't know how to go in the back room in our secret place and pray and ask God to forgive them and ask God to heal them. That we weren't doing that. That's on us. Do you really want that to continue on? God has directed us to pray for Israel and Jerusalem for peace. Are we doing that? Some are, some aren't. Some are walking in that biblical righteousness, but some are not. We need more people in the secret place with the Lord doing battle against the strongholds. How do you bring down a stronghold? You make a new stronghold that's stronger than the other one. And a stronghold is defense perimeter around like a castle or a moat, a moat around the castle, walls that are thick. You place the name of Jesus around something. You place it over that person. You name the name of Jesus over cancer, over your finances. You are placing a hedge of protection around those items. That is how God works. that keeps the enemy at bay. You have the right to bind and loose things. You were given the keys of the kingdom of heaven. You have already been given that. I've already taught on that. I'm not going to go back into details for that, but I want you to understand you've been given it. So, the choice is, are you going to continue walking in your flesh distracted and busy with the stuff of the world, or you going to walk in the world? Let's go read first Corinth or excuse me 2 Corinthians 10 3-6. For though we walk to live in the flesh, we do not war. Look at this word war. To serve in the military campaign after the flesh. We are not to be in the military campaign of our flesh and blood. No. Why? Because this is going to fail. This is going to die. Every man is appointed to die once. Hebrews 9:27, well then if my flesh is going to die and go away, then I better be investing in my spirit. So Paul is telling us clearly. Then he goes to verse four here. For the weapons of our warfare, look at the warfare apostolic career. Do you think that's what I've been talking about with casting out demons and laying hands on the sick and and having people healed? Calling out the name of the Jesus name of Jesus, the son of God in the secret place. Because see, when you're doing it in secret, God will manifest it out in the open in the name of Jesus. This is how he works. So, he's doing it behind the scenes. You need to be behind the scenes, praying it, saying it, speaking out so that the strong angels move and do what they're supposed to do because you're speaking to them because you're a tool from God. And the Holy Spirit's going to give you the right words to say on the right thing he has you praying for. For the weapons of our warfare are not not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down or the demolition of strongholds. You see, the demons have set up their own strongholds and they've put their claws in deep into people. They put curses there. They put these walls up. You've got to be able to break those walls. And you've got several ways to do it. You can march around the wall as the Israelites did uh to bring down the walls of Jericho. You can march around the walls and then do a shout. And you can do it right here in the secret place. One day in a circle, do it for six days. And on the seventh day, march around it seven day. And you can put something in the middle of your circle that represents what it is that you're trying to bring down. And you get to say to that thing, be down and do that powerful shout on day seven after you go around it seven times. You have the right to do that. You see, we were shown already warfare and how the Israelites did it. Now we get to do it in principle through our spoken word in the secret place under the anointing of the Holy Spirit because this our to serve our military campaign. We serve our military campaign in spirit. Remember Jesus said it's not or God said it's not by might nor by power but by my spirit says the Lord. And that is what we get to walk in. Oh hallelujah. So we are to pull down these strongholds in the name of Jesus and casting down imaginations. This is how we do it for ourselves and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. You see, when you purpose in your heart the secret place of the Lord and you choose to learn his word and you choose to go into battle because you want a loved one saved and and you just You just start and you don't even know what to say. You just simply start it. Lord, I want so- and so saved. I'm calling him back in the name of Jesus. And you just start speaking it over and over and over again. And you are persistent. You keep doing it every single day. I promise you that loved one will get saved. Imagine if the whole body of Christ did that. Oh my goodness. The devil would have a very difficult time succeeding in anything. Anything. He will not prevail because we're purposing in our hearts the name of Jesus through the spoken word of God in this secret place over whatever situation we're facing and dealing with. So, and it takes you know in our minds we have to take self-control here. This is a gift of the Holy Spirit casting down imaginations. You know, there are things that we see. We see someone taking action and we'll think in our mind or roll the eyes or whatever it is. Oh man, he missed that. And then we'll run it through our minds what's going to happen. Well, Paul is saying, you need to cast that down because with God, it can change. You see, we have grace. We're in the period of grace right now. It doesn't matter what bad thing you did. If you killed someone, you can be forgiven. The only time you cannot be forgiven is if you kept blaspheming the Holy Spirit, resisting him, resisting, and then you died. That's it. You got to make your choice here in the living. And look at this. You have to know the science of God. This is, you see, and it takes faith and a belief to know the living word of God. I mean, how much corruption of evolution and our scientific community has put in our hearts to knock down our belief and faith in the living word of God. And let me tell you, I'm praying for the scientific community to be saved. You want to know how I'm doing it? I simply go to the Lord and I say, "Lord, I lift up the scientific community to your throne room and I forgive them of their sins and I forgive them of the iniquities found with them within them. I ask you, heavenly father, to forgive them as well in the name of Jesus, the son of God, because he says in Matthew 6:14, if you forgive them of their trespasses, I will forgive them of their trespasses." And because we're now in unity, in agreement, hey demons, you let go of the scientific community in the name of Jesus, the son of the living God. I bind you with feathers of iron to the iron below my feet, preventing you from interfering in the scientific community anymore. Father God, I bless the scientific community with restoration that what was taken from them and the deceits that they've been spewing for the last several hundred years. Well, Lord, we're going to take back and reverse those results and pray for the fruit and the gift of the Holy Spirit of truth and fact to manifest out of the scientific community. I thank you, heavenly father, for letting the spirit of God move forward, letting your strong angels go forward, that the truth and the facts are spoken through the scientific community in the name of Jesus, the son of the living God. Amen and amen. That is an example prayer right there that you can pray for the education system, you can pray over the presidency, all of his cabinet, you can pray for Israel, you can pray for Hamas that way. I was praying for Hamas and I didn't want to. And I prayed in obedience. And yet 200 men, over 200 Hamas men saw or had the same dream of a man that they had to go find a missionary for interpretation of. And come to find out they were seeing Jesus. All of them saw Jesus and they all repented and became believers in Christ. This is how this works. You're obedient. You don't want to pray for you're tired. You You've been busy. You don't want to get it. You have to cast down the imaginations. You have to purpose in your heart to get into that presence. And you got to say it because that's your battle that you have to get to God because the devil is trying to resist you from doing that. But once you get past that and you get into it and you purpose it, you will see victory. I promise you this. God promises you this because victory is what God is asking us to do. He's the lioness over us, the lion. And he's teaching us how to take back what is ours. And we need to be bullies about it in the name of Jesus. We need to kick down those strongholds. Those walls are going to be broken in the name of Jesus because we choose to walk in the spirit of God and not in the flesh. And this is how we do the battles. Amen. Verse six. And having in a readiness to revenge. Look at that word readiness. Adjust prepared. You see, how are you going to be prepared to do this? You've got to purpose in your heart and start getting into the word of God. It starts now. If you're not doing it, get in there now. Get in there now. You need to be spending time with God so he will make you into a an effective warp piece, an effective weapon to go and defeat the enemy in the name of Jesus because that's his choice for you. It's what he wants to do. Look at this. to revenge. We get to vindicate, retaliate, punish all disobedience. And what's that word disobedience? Inattention. You know what? Most people are dying from lack of knowledge, which is being dumb and uh uh silent. Well, now what's happening is because people aren't sharing the word of God and it is not getting out there. There's like this barriers over the people's eyes and ears. We need to go and pray against that as to break down that wall so they can open up their because Jesus says if they saw and heard the living word of God they would believe. Do you see these are the scriptures you use when you're praying and you get to so they're doing disobedience and probably uh they're doing it in a way that you know they're not even aware they're doing it but they're still going to suffer because they're not paying attention. We have to pray for them to pay attention to get into the word of God. Uh let's read that again. and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. Your obedience is fulfilled. Did you hear that? You have to obey. I didn't want to obey paying for terrorists because, you know, I saw or, you know, I heard and watch a little bit of the snippets of videos. I didn't want to watch the whole thing of the atrocities that they did. And I kind of felt like Jonah. They didn't deserve it, Lord. But then he reminded me how much he loves them because he loves me as much as he loves them. Okay, Lord. Then and and it started off with like, "Okay, Lord, I don't want to do it, but I'm going to pray for it anyways." And then it got better because it was like, "Okay, Lord, I'm do." And as my heart change, come to find out, I love them, too. And I want to see those strongholds come down. And I'm going to tell you right now, I can't be the only one hearing the Holy Spirit tell us right now to go into warfare with our prayers. I'm sure absolutely positive that each of us are being called right now to go into warfare in the secret place and to take back what belongs to us. We need to take back our churches. We need to take back our pastor's teachings. We need to take back the Bible studies that we attend. Is it see if if it becomes wrote, it's just a repetitive action. We just go to church every week or we go to Bible study every week. Is it just a repeat thing or do we learn and get ministered to and walk away going, "Wow, I learned something new today or the Holy Spirit really ministered into my heart." That's where we need to be at that point where we're going, not because it's wrote, but we're going because I'm going to get something new today. And I purpose in my heart to get something new. We also realized that the majority of the people of the earth had been deceived and had rejected the creators’ offer of peace, and now only the awful expectation of judgment was all that was left for the peoples of the world. They tremble before the mighty signs but yet lacked the faith to repent and call upon the name that would save them, the name of Jesus. Panic has broken out in many places and mobs of people everywhere had gone into a rampage destroying, looting, burning and killing all who would get in their way; since this is the end they reasoned, they did not have to be accountable to any authorities here on earth, and utter rebellion to all forms of authority was their final act of defiance before God. For the people of the way this were apprehensive hours to say the least, for the undercurrent theme throughout the multitudes was that we were the ones to blame for the current occurrences, and vengeance against them seems to be the purest form of retribution. We had all come from different areas of the city, like drawn by an invisible force. We could tell just by looking at each other’s faces what we had in common in the middle of chaos, there was this peace and assurance, and a very reverent holy fear gripped us all. There wasn’t much talking among us, just a great deal of silent praying as we all had in our minds someone who we were not sure if they would have the strength to call on the name of Jesus amid their confusion. As I huddled with my family I glanced at the starry night and memories of days gone by flooded my mind. Life then just seemed so brief; It seemed like just yesterday I was a little boy, up in the early morning fishing with my dad. Feeling the early morning chill as I crawled towards the back of the boat to keep warm, enduring those hardships in the hope that the day would bring lots of fish and a great time with my dad. Hoping that I will catch that big one so that I will have something great to brag about to my friends. The glow of the fires illuminating the distant horizon brought me back to the reality of the moment. It was so real. How many times in our walk we felt like just giving up, without realizing how much was really at stake. And now there was no doubt as to what hangs on the balance of faith, for to deny Christ at this point in time is the greatest of all mistakes and one that would be regretted for eternity. How can something that seems so simple as exercising one’s faith be so hard? But there they were, multitudes in the valley of decision; since they had given themselves to believe the assurances of the world, that there is no God and that we humans had evolved, how can all of the sudden one give oneself to change one’s mind and belief? Just because of a few great signs, there must be a logical explanation for all these happenings. The greatest fear of all humanity at this point in time was that nobody had risen [yet] to the task of assuring the peoples of the world otherwise. In the other hand, for the people of the way all those years of reading and studying the bible trying to make sense of it all had paid off. All the events that were happening had such clarity to them, all those hidden things now made perfect sense. The breeze had changed direction as dawn approached and one could smell the burnt ashes of what used to be the hopes and dreams of mankind. The darkest hour of the night was nearly over and if one looked intensely towards the eastern skies, one could see the dawning of eternity for those whose hearts were filled with hope. But only the deepest of darkness remained for those who placed their hopes on the abilities of man, what they had trusted upon had betrayed them. If only there was another lie that they could believe, another reprieve to postpone the inevitable. We all as one got on our feet and began to gaze intensely towards the dawn. It was like an unheard voice was calling to each of us, “ARISE MY CHILDREN, YOUR HARD SERVICE HAS BEEN RENDERED.” It was finally over! As we stood there in the flesh, with the early morning breeze refreshing our souls for the last time in this body here on earth we knew that the trumpet was about to sound, and there was no going back. Oh, what a feeling! This would be the last time here on earth for us, in this body of sin. As I began to ponder as to how the transfer would take place, I saw HIM. He was dressed in a long white robe and was moving towards me rapidly. He was walking in the air at a very fast pace and yet He was moving at the same time, and it seemed at the speed of light. As he very rapidly approached me, I could see his face, and my eyes locked into his blazing eye. I could feel myself dying, for every fiber in my body trembled at his holy presence. My heart pounded loudly and out of control. I was so scared I could not keep from shaking, but as my flesh panted for air that it could not find, I found that from deep within me a new man was rising, and in a deep and clear voice it shouted “HALLELUJAH, HE KEPT HIS PROMISE”. As the struggle between the two was ending I felt a violent collision. JESUS had grabbed me right at the middle of the heart without slowing down and I suddenly moved at the speed of light through the air. I could feel my new body forming out of the old. My tongue which was plastered to the roof of my mouth because of the great speed at which we were traveling, could feel the missing teeth growing and my spirit could not stop shouting “HALLELUJAH, HE KEPT HIS PROMISE”. As you can see from 1 Kings 19:18 that God ‘prevented’ seven thousand in Israel from submitting unto King Ahab and Jezebel’s ‘government’ rule during that time, and Elijah, a prophet of God didn’t know that God reserved seven thousand. Yes, those of us close to God don’t know all of whom and what God has preserved. 1 Kings 18:22 NKJV 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. Again, Eljah thought he was alone. Are you a believer who dwells in the secret place and feel like you’re the only one praying out there? You can trust God and know that there are many others out there praying too. If there weren’t, you can read in the Bible about the generation before Noah’s flood (Genesis 6:5), and Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19). This entire world would already be destroyed otherwise. Thank God people are believing and praying. And since we’re here, it means there are believers who are praying or who have not submitted their knee unto the darkness of this world. If you’re reading this and you’re not one of those believers/prayers set aside by God, you need to thank God for those that are. Then you need to ask yourself why are you not praying? Who’s knee are you bowing down to? Where does your submission lie? Because you can easily be one of those set aside by God. Eljah had power because he did not submit unto the demonic entity called Baal like four hundred and fifty other prophets did. Baal ruled the government at that time. I don’t know what dark demonic entity is ruling our government today, but when there are more homelessness, more drug addicts, more murders, more abortion, more evil than good, it’s an evil darkness that’s currently ruling our government. I can assure you that if you do not have power in your walk during this darkness, maybe your knee is bowing to Baal or some other entity and you don’t know it? Or maybe you know it. I have news for you that do know, your knee must submit unto Jesus! Hallelujah! But if you don’t know, maybe you voted for someone who is lying to you and supporting something like abortion. God hate’s abortion. That’s murdering innocent blood and through that deception, you support this evil entity. But there’s good news for you , God is merciful and as long as you ask for forgiveness, you will be delivered/saved. But here's something to know, even if you kept your knee bowed to anything other than God, your knee will eventually bow down to God: Isaiah 45:23 NKJV 23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, And shall not return, That to Me every knee shall bow, Every tongue shall take an oath. Romans 14:11 NKJV 11 For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” Philippians 2:10 NKJV 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Why is it important to place your knee directly before God and not through other entities, such as governments, principalities, trust in other people, etc? You are at war and you are responsible for holding back the power of darkness. How do I know this? Because you were given the name of Jesus and by that name, ‘every knew should bow’. Keyword – SHOULD! When they’re not, that means you’re not using your authority. Let’s identify those areas of darkness that you have the authority over as a believer in Christ who has asked God to forgive his or herself. Ephesians 6:12-13 NKJV 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [a]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. When you don’t bow your knee to others, and you bow your knee to Jesus, you have authority direct from the name of Jesus and can overcome governments, principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places. Yes, you have the authority to do this in Jesus’ name. You become a part of God’s army and you can affect the outcome of this world’s governments and powers. This world’s powers are darkness and you are the light in God’s army. Read Philippians 2:10 again and pay attention. Philippians 2:10 NKJV 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, ‘at the name of Jesus’: when you are bowed before Jesus, you have the authority to say His name and have the authority to place ‘those in heaven, ‘those on earth’, and ‘those under the earth’ to ‘bow’ before His name. Those things must submit to God. So once you say it out loud, calling out those entities and telling them to bow before God, ‘STAND’. Place a smile on your face and wait for God to move. Because that darkness must submit. Realize this, God is training you for warfare. Start learning. Start using His Name. The Holy Spirit will teach you and it starts with you placing your knee before God and submitting unto Jesus. Once you do that, you come into your authority of His name and the darkness must submit unto you when you use His name Jesus! I’m standing now. Will you tell darkness to bow itself to Jesus? And Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’” Have you ever wonder what faith really is? What is biblical faith, and how do I know if I have it? I am sure that we all have our own personal understanding of what faith is to us, but I wonder if we can all come to a general understanding of the Bible’s definition of faith, or what I call biblical faith. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” In the Bible’s own definition of what faith is, we see two basic components working together, and I believe that if we are able to understand their interactions, it will make us more capable, if you will, to overcome those situations where only faith can deliver us. But before we look at these two components, let’s get a biblical perspective first, of how the basic principles of faith work. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” I believe that the difference between listening and hearing is that when we hear something it has the connotation that we understand what we are hearing. When we hear a familiar sound we are able to understand where it is coming from and what it is. For example if we hear a baby crying or laughing we can respond appropriately. In the same manner if we hear sounds that we are not familiar with or know from where they originate, then we are clueless as to what is going on and have no idea as how to respond. So that faith rests on the foundation of knowledge. Theoretically speaking, the more that we know the more that we are able to believe, but there is a double implication to that theory, the more that somebody else knows, the more that we are able to believe in their abilities as well. Let us use a natural example of that theory: Two men are riding in a car when the motor stops working, they open the hood and look at the engine to see if they can find out what is wrong and if it can be fixed. Do we believe that they will be able to fix the problem? I would need more information about the two men. Let’s say that one of the two men is a medical doctor. I’m pretty sure that he won’t be much help in this case, unless of course, somebody gets sick. Let’ s say that the other man is an auto mechanic, well then, that changes the whole equation doesn’t it? For even if he cannot get it fixed right there, he would probably know what the problem is and what needs to be done to get it fixed. If it was the other way around, the car is running fine, but somebody gets sick, then my money is on the doctor. That is a simple, yet powerful illustration of how faith works, we need to know, but we do not need to know everything, for it is impossible for a single human to know every craft, but we do need to know about the One that knows everything, for the more that we know about Him, the easier it is to believe that He is able to help us. Matthew 9:27 “When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, ‘Son of David, have mercy on us!’” Jesus had gone into a ruler’s house where the daughter of the ruler had died and a crowd had gathered to mourn her passing. The father of the dead daughter went to Jesus and worshiped Him and said to Him on verse 18: “My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.” Obviously the two blind men were part of the crowd that had gathered at the ruler’s house, they could not physically see but they knew what the commotion was all about. When Jesus got to the house He said that the girl was not dead but sleeping, after the crowd ridiculed Him, He sent them outside of the house and proceeded to raise the girl back to life, as Jesus left the house the two blind men, after hearing what had taken place, followed Him and His disciples crying out to Him, Son of David, have mercy on us. Here we see the two sides of faith clearly displayed. A desperate father reaches out to a man, not just a man, but a man of God whom the crowds are following because He is reputed to have supernatural powers to heal all those who are brought to Him. The father cannot bring his dead daughter to Jesus, so he brings Jesus to his dead daughter. He finds himself in a desperate situation, for if Jesus does not come right away, his daughter will be buried before the sun sets, so he goes for broke and all in. No hesitation, no wondering about the divinity or genealogy of Jesus, he just comes and worships Him and tells Him that if He lays His hand on his daughter, she will live. In the other side of faith, we have two blind men attending a funeral, their advantage was that they did not use their eyes to gather information for they were blind. So that when the crowd was put outside of the house so that they could not see the miracle that Jesus did, the blind men could see what had taken place by the reaction of the crowd when the girl was presented to them alive. So they followed Jesus, reasoning that if Jesus could raise the dead He could surely give sight to the blind. So that a desperate need as well as sound reasoning are key to releasing the faith that can deliver us. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance (realization) of things hoped for, the evidence (confidence) of things not seen.” The substance of faith is in the realization of our desperate need, and the evidence is in the confidence that we show when we ask. Ephesians 3:12 “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” My confidence rests with His ability to do that which for me would be impossible to attain, but first I must realize that only He can deliver me. For as long as I think of a possible remedy for my situation outside of Him, there is no substance to my faith. And if there is no substance, then there can be no confidence, and without confidence there can be no boldness to access what we are in need of. Hollywood perpetrated a lie in one of their old movies that to this day many believe is a Bible verse when it is not, here is the quote: God helps those who help themselves. This is a false premise that is accepted by many people of faith as a true statement. But in reality God helps those who cannot help themselves, yet believe that God is both willing and able to help them. If you have a varmint problem, you call an exterminator. If you have a water leak, you call a plumber. If your power goes out, you call an electrician. And the reason we do that is because they are people who are trained to handle those situations, and we trust that their abilities will help us solve our problems. First we realize that we have a problem, secondly, we call on their services and trust on their abilities to fix them, but as you know if you ever hire somebody that did not live up to his credentials, it is a system that is based in trusting those whom we hire to perform. What we can draw from that is that men are fallible, but God is not. Where men will fail us for lack of honesty and or abilities, God will never do that. In order to have total and complete confidence towards God when we call on Him, we need to know about His honesty and His abilities, as one of our previous Scriptures told us: Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” So that when we read the Scriptures in the light of what faith teaches, we need to ask these two questions: Is God really able to do that which seems impossible, and will He do it for me? Romans 8:31-32 “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” The one thing that I failed to mention earlier when I was doing a comparison between the natural and the spiritual, was that some people cannot afford a plumber when their water main breaks, but thankfully with God all is free, for Jesus paid the price of everything that we are in need of now, and He paid it in full. So that Scripture clearly establishes that God will do the impossible for us all, and that He will also do it freely. So that the only question that remains is, does He have the power do it? Matthew 9:22 “But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.” There was a another miracle that took place in our opening text as well, a seemly unintended one. A woman that had been suffering for twelve long years with an affliction that no one could heal. She said to herself, If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well. She was made well when by faith she touched His garment. Here is what was meant by that miracle: Deuteronomy 19:15 “...By the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.” Jesus asked the two blind men, Do you believe that I am able to do this? We have three miracles within the context of the story that testify that Jesus is more than able to do what for us it is impossible. Seeking Him steadies us on the foundation of His Word and turns trials into testimonies. By writing prayers, dating requests, and recording answers, believers build a personal testimony of God’s faithfulness. Seeking the Lord will restore you and I believe this is a year of restoration. I’m already seeing things restored to me that were stolen. Let me show you scripture that explains what happens when you seek the Lord. Deuteronomy 30:1-3 NKJV “Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you [a]call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God drives you, 2 and you return to the Lord your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul, 3 that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you. Deuteronomy says that when you return and obey, you will be brought back from captivity. God will have compassion on you. This applies to us today, not just Israel. When you return, (seek) the Lord, and you obey His Word, whatever is holding you captive will have to let go of you. God will have compassion on you and move on your behalf to set you free. Here’s another scripture and what happens when you seek the Lord. Proverbs 2:1-5 NKJV My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, 2 So that you incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding; 3 Yes, if you cry out for discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding, 4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures; 5 Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God. Seeking the Lord gives you understanding and we need understanding. We need to understand the fear of the Lord and we will find His knowledge. Our knowledge is flawed but His knowledge is the best. It provides wisdom and patience when facing difficult situations. Here are two more scriptures that shows you more on what happens when you seek the Lord. Luke 11:9-10 NKJV 9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. You see, seeking is going up to His door, knocking, and having Jesus invite us into His life. That invitation is the best thing we have, and it is because of what Jesus did on the cross. He paid for our sins and redeemed us. And so, how do we seek the Lord? Psalm 91:1-3 NKJV He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler And from the perilous pestilence. Make a quiet place between you and God. That’s seeking Him. That’s putting Him first. That tells God this is important to you and He will meet you there. Read the rest of Psalm 91 and see everything He will do for you. And as a believer, you have that invitation where the door is opened. Once there, you are no longer captive to things of the world. In essence, you are stepping away from the world and placing God first in your life. Matthew 6:33 NKJV 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. You see, when need God to be first in our life and everything else will fall into place. That doesn’t mean we won’t face difficulty. It means that when we do, Jesus lifts us and carries us through it. Matthew 14:25-33 NKJV 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. 27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, [c]“Be of good cheer! [d]It is I; do not be afraid.” 28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” 29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw [e]that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” 31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat [f]came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.” You see, Peter reached out to Jesus and Jesus saved him. And the distressing situation immediately stopped when they were back on the boat, the foundation of His Word. And it worked out to be a testimony causing them to worship Him. I released a journal on February 16, 2026 called Between My Prayer and His Answer. It’s available at Amazon. This is another way to seek the Lord. When you have a question or a situation you are facing, ask God anything. Write it down in the journal and date it. Then wait on the Lord and watch Him provide you with answers. He draws on the examples of Ronald Reagan and Martin Luther King Jr., both of whom appealed directly to the “soul of America” in their leadership, calling the nation back to its founding ideals rather than rejecting them. Acknowledging today’s division and moral decline, Pastor Marcos affirms that while the physical nation may falter, America’s soul and divine purpose remain. He urges believers to respond with prayer—interceding for forgiveness, enlightenment, and revival. America’s problems, he insists, are ultimately spiritual, and the solution lies in repentance, unity, and a return to God’s covenant. Inspired Teaching: For many prophecy watchers the role that the American nation plays during the days of the end of the Church Age is not clear, due to the fact that the American nation does not seem to play a significant prophetic role during the events that lead to the return of Christ. Some believe that America’s status as a major world power will be so greatly diminished by the time that Jesus returns to set up the Kingdom Age, that it is not worth mentioning in the prophetic scenario. I take a different view, there are three different entities or dispensations that are clearly marked for closure before the Lord physically lands on the earth to set up His one thousand year reign called The Kingdom Age. These three entities are: The Church represented today (remember that I am dealing here with nations not individuals) mainly by the western nations that have as their foundation Judeo-Christian principles and/or values, The Law represented by the nation of Israel, and what the Bible prophetically calls The Kingdoms of this World whose representation today comes from the United Nations. The 20th century witnessed a rise of anti-Semitism in many western cultures along with the rejection of the Judeo-Christian values they had inherited. A vacuum occurred that led many in those western cultures to turn to eastern philosophies and isms, but eventually it was secular humanism and its embracing of anything and everything but God that prevailed. In today’s culture if you are a firm believer of biblical principles and moral traditions you are regarded as a right-wing nut. Prophetically speaking the turning of the western European nations back to their pagan roots is part of God’s prophetic plan, for it is out of these western European nations that the revived Roman empire rises out of and eventually give all of their power to the head of the United Nations at that time who will be the anti-Christ. But I do not believe that to be the case for our beloved America. For there are no pagan roots for America to turn back to. Acts 16:6-10 “Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia (to the east). When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow then to. So, they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia (west of them) standing and begging him, ‘come over to Macedonia and help us.’ After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” italics mine Here we see a clear effort by the Holy Spirit and by the Spirit of Jesus preventing Paul and his fellow workers from proclaiming the Gospel to the nations of the east. It is not that God did not want His Gospel to go to the nations of the east, for the Gospel of the kingdom was to be proclaimed to the whole world, but rather Paul’s anointing for this specific missionary trip was that of nation building, future nations, including those of the new world yet to be discovered. When Christopher Columbus and the Spanish conquistadores discovered a new land, they did so and offered it as a price to the nation that they represented, Spain, and the values that their nation embraced not limited to their Christian beliefs, but also including their pagan roots, these were introduced into the newly formed nations of the new world, not just by the Spaniards, but so did the many other nations that conquered land in the new world. However, the pilgrims that eventually became the thirteen colonies that would eventually formed today’s American nation, did not come to the new world to conquer on behalf of the nations they left behind, but rather as pilgrims looking for a new land that was not contaminated with the paganism that their Christian faith had succumbed to in the old world. It was the quest for freedom, religious freedom, that gave birth to the American nation, not a desire for subjugation. Though the roots of paganism were never far from the hearts of those who founded the new American nation, the intent was noble and prophetic in my humble opinion. For it was in God’s plan that at the end of time a nation of noble birth would assume the ministry of being the light bearer to the rest of the nations of the world of what the principles of true liberty and justice can be like, even in the midst of flawed humans whose simple desire is that of being free. In the 20th century America shined liberty, promoted prosperity, and proclaimed religious freedom gallantly to every nation of the world, so as to when God’s judgment begins against those who reject the Judeo-Christian values that America preached by her actions, they would be without excuse as to what true nobility was like. American blood stains battle fields in every habitable continent, American bodies have been buried in every ocean of the world after dying fighting for the freedom of others, every kitchen in the world is touched by American generosity, American missionaries have taught human dignity to the unlearned masses and American culture permeates all the tribes of the earth. Yet no nation that we have liberated fears us, for we are not into conquest, but we are for freedom, even the freedom of those who do not deserve it, that is the American way. It can truly be said that America, though not perfect, and Americans, flawed as well, have definitely fulfilled the role assigned to them by their God the Creator they proclaimed. So, what shall we said then of the fate that awaits as Americans? And what is the fate of our beloved nation at the end of time? Psalm 73:25-26 “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire beside you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” If you noticed, I never mentioned the United States when referring to America. Let me explain what I believe, know that my perspective is that of an immigrant. I was born in Cuba in 1947 under a constitutional government, by the time I was six years old we had a dictatorship, and by the time I was twelve I had lived through a revolutionary war. In 1965 at the tender age of eighteen I fled what was then and still is as of this writing a full fledge communist regime, I came across the ocean in a small boat to a tiny island in the Kay Sal bank named after the tiny island, I was picked up by a British war ship and delivered to a navy base in Port Everglades Florida, where I was welcome as a political refugee. I settle in Los Angeles in September 1965 right after the August riots of that summer and began to learn what America is really all about. America is a spiritual principle or let me say it another way, America is the soul of these United States. I was an American before I became a citizen of the Unites States. What is it that makes a nation if is not for its soul? What is the soul of America? To know what the soul of a nation is one must look at the principles upon which that nation was founded. Here is part of what the soul of America is: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Let me ask you this simple question, is a member of the KKK a real American? Is it not self-evident that if someone thinks himself to be better that another because of their race, that that person does not live up to the American definition that all men are created equal? He may have been born in the United States and is a duly citizen of the United States, but such a person is not an American! For to be a real American one must embrace the soul of America and become one with it. Let me give you an example from these men I believe to be the two greatest Americans of the 20th century. Former president of the U.S. Ronald Reagan and Pastor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. President Reagan united the nation in a way like no former president ever did since its founding. How did he do it? He knew and understood the soul of America and its founding principles, he knew the destiny of America, he clearly enunciated that America was to the world like a shinning city upon a hill, Americans could not help but to respond, for he was communicating with their soul. Dr. King lived in a very different America, where persecution, fear and relentless discrimination ruled the day. He had a choice to make, was America a nation that needed to be fundamentally changed? Did America need another armed revolution? I believe Dr. King being a Pastor looked at the soul of America, after all that is what we pastors do, we look at the soul before deciding whether something or someone is redeemable. By looking into the soul of America he could easily see that the problem with America was not in is soul, we were just failing to live up to it. So his message was a simple one, he dreamed of the day when true Americans would live up to their founding creed. And it was real Americans who responded to Dr. King’s cry for justice because he spoke directly to their American soul! So, what is the future of these United States? Clearly as we stand today, we stand divided, we stand divided because great forces are at work to remove from our nation the Creator who guarantees us those unalienable rights and the great moral principles that held us together from our founding. My flesh and my heart may fail: I take great comfort in the fact that even if our United States, the flesh of America, were to fail, America has not failed! It is my deeply held belief that America is a very special nation, that the souls of her soldiers who died so that other men may lived, are safely guarded in the hands of Jesus Christ. That the sacrificial prayers that are being offered continuously on behalf of this nation are heard by God who is faithful. What should then our prayer for America be? Early this morning I got up to pray and the Lord put America in my heart and said to me: “Pray for America!” I wrote all of this to tell you what my prayer was and what I think it is that God wants us to pray for concerning America. As you pray for America, pray for her spiritual enlightenment, we need to see beyond our physical circumstances. America does not have any physical problems that cannot be solved from the spiritual perspective, be it division, dysfunction, debt crises, suicides, mass shootings, abortions, immoralities, hate, hopelessness, whatever you can name that it is wrong we our nation today can be solved if we just simply understand that our problems stem from us not living up to our American potential that emanates from our Creator and brings to us peace. Let us not give up, do not think that is too late for America, for none of us knows the future, as long as there is breath in us let us thank God for America, let us ask God to forgive America, let us repent before God for the sins of America, let us forgive those who trespass against us and pray for their salvation and well-being. Let us pray His Word and will over America. Psalm 74:19-21 “Do not hand over the life of Your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of Your afflicted people forever. Any reliance on demonic resources aligns people with his nature and leads to sin and death (Psalm 7:14; James 1:15). The message illustrates this principle through the story of Elisha (2 Kings 2), who dealt with contaminated water at its source rather than its effects. His act of casting salt at the spring symbolized purity and the importance of addressing corruption at its origin. Elisha’s pursuit of a double portion was not simply for resources but for direct connection to the Source—God Himself. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that believers must be willing to tear off old coverings, embrace God’s new dimension of anointing, and receive His resources for the end times. Just as Elisha cried, “My father, my father, my source and my resource!”, so the church must cry out for God’s power afresh. The teaching continues with Job’s imagery of mining (Job 28:5-6) and Peter’s revelation that Jesus is the Christ, the solid rock (Matthew 16:16-18). Jesus resisted Satan’s temptation to turn stones into bread (Matthew 4:4), showing that the true bread and resource come only from God’s Word. Finally, Pastor Marcos points to Revelation’s promises of hidden manna, the white stone, and the baptism of fire as resources reserved for overcomers in the last days (Revelation 2:17; Matthew 3:11). The end-time battle will be fought by saints who dig deep into God’s Source, overcome by the blood of the Lamb and their testimony (Revelation 12:11), and reign with Christ as kings and priests (Revelation 5:9-10). The central call is clear: Jesus is both the Source and the Resource. The church must turn from false sources, draw from God’s well of salvation, and be equipped with His fire and anointing to fulfill its destiny in these last days. Inspired Teaching: John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” All resources have a source from where they emanate. For example, every resource that comes from Satan originates from a lie! That is what Jesus is revealing to us in the Scripture above. The devil cannot tell the truth even if he wanted to: There is no truth in him Jesus told us. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources. And by implication Jesus is telling all those who employ demonic resources, that when they do, they are making Satan their father or source and becoming one with him by entertaining his evil desires. Psalm 7:14 “Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood.” James 1:15 “Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” This principle of source and resource is a very important one to understand, because Scripture makes it very clear that employing the wrong resources—even if for the right reasons—can get us into a great deal of trouble. That is why it has a warning alongside it. James 1:16-17 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift (source) and every perfect gift (resource) is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Only God is Good and He is the only source of good, and every good gift comes from God and is a perfect gift—resource—that can be used for our benefits. 2 Kings 2:21-22 “Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast the salt there, and said, ‘Thus says the Lord: “I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barrenness.’” So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.” We see this spiritual principle of source and resource at work very clearly at the beginning of the ministry of Elisha; after receiving a double portion of the anointing of God when Elijah was taken up to heaven. The water source for the village was contaminated and both the people and the environment were affected with barrenness. This was probably a test from the sons of the prophets to see if their new leader was now connected to the same spiritual anointing that his predecessor Elijah possessed. 2 Kings 2:19-20 “Then the men of the city said to Elisha, ‘please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad, and the ground baren.’ And he said, ‘Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.’ So they brought it to him.” Salt represents an antidote to corruption, placing salt at the source of the contaminated water spoke to the fact that whatever corruption existed in Elisha’s ministry had been dealt with by his persistence to receive a double portion of God’s anointing. Elijah’s desire was to meet the source, not just receive the resource. 2 Kings 2:10-11 “So he said, ‘You have asked a hard thing, nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.’ Then it happened, as they continue on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.” I believe that Elisha’s desire for the double portion was based on the fact that he wanted to meet the source himself. When dealing with the miracle that they needed, he asked for a new bowl. You do not insert new wine into old wine skins. The source always precedes the resource! 2 Kings 2:12 “And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, ‘My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!’ So he saw him no more. And he took hold of his own clothes and tore them into two pieces.” Pay close attention to Elisha’s cry: My father, my father; My source and my resource! Then he tore his own clothes into two pieces. Traded of himself the old source with all of the old resources and embraced the new dimension of God’s call and ministry for his life. 2 Kings 2:13-14 “He also took up the mantel of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan. Then he took the mantel of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, ‘Where is the Lord God of Elijah?’ And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over.” I believe that our God is calling His church to a new and greater dimension of spirituality. He wants to equip us with all the great and powerful resources that He has stored in His heavenly granaries for these end times that we are living in. Are we, as His holy church, ready to call on the apostolic mantel to fall upon us one more time? Are we willing to tear, in two pieces, our own old clothes or covering? I believe that deep within our hearts we long to cry out: Where is the God of the apostles? There is only One that is Good! Only One who is the source for all the benefits—resources—that we need to fulfil our destiny as God’s witnesses to this last generation! Job 28:5-6 “As for the earth, from it comes bread, but underneath it is turned up as by fire; Its stones are the source of sapphires, and it contains gold dust.” In the preceding verses Job is talking about mining the earth that produces bread on the surface. And that by digging, or mining, or much travelling, we turn the rocks into precious stones and gold dust. He also says that the source that produces the treasures is: As by fire, stones are turned into precious stones! The gold dust represents the proclamation of the Gospel. Matthew 16:18 “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” What was this solid rock revelation that Peter received? That Jesus is the Source and the resource! Matthew 16:16 “Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” It is no coincidence that the first temptation that Satan tried against Jesus was that of turning stones into bread. Matthew 4:4 “But He answered and said, ‘It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Once this revelation enters our hearts—that Jesus is the source, and all the good resources can only come from Him—then our desire should be to dig deep into the well of God’s salvation. Revelation 2:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written that which no one knows except him who receives.” Matthew 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” The end time battle of the last generation will be fought by the saints who go deep into the mine—the source—and they will be filled with God’s holy fire of purification. How can I qualify to receive this powerful end time resource? Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” There has to be a desperate need and urgency in the hearts of those who love His appearing. A deep spiritually born desire and a knowing that the end of all things has come. Do you believe? Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth.’” Previous Next Home

THE ANOINTED VOW Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the spiritual significance of making an anointed vow before God, and how His anointing works in harmony with His promises, timing, and purposes. It aims to show that salvation, calling, and consecrated vows are not forgotten by the Lord, but are sealed by His anointing, which continues to call out to Him until His Word is fulfilled in the believer’s life. Synopsis: The Anointed Vow examines the relationship between vows, anointing, and the divine timing of God’s promises. Using Jacob’s vow at Bethel as a foundational text (Genesis 31:13), Pastor Marcos explains that God always remembers anointed prayers and vows, even when believers forget them. He illustrates this truth through personal testimony, showing how a prayer for understanding prophecy was answered years later, on the exact anniversary of his vision of the rapture. The teaching outlines a clear process of divine fulfillment: Salvation – entering into God’s grace and being qualified for His purpose. Answering the Call – responding actively to His holy calling. Making a Vow – consecrating one’s life in surrender to God’s will. Following God’s Leading – obeying His direction faithfully. Forsaking the World – walking the narrow path of tribulation and rejecting false gospels of comfort. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that vows made in faith are sealed with God’s anointing, which acts like a spiritual watchman, continuously interceding before the Lord until the promise is fulfilled. Just as Jerusalem’s destiny has been proclaimed for millennia and is still being carried forward by God’s anointing, so too are believers’ lives carried by their anointed vows. Ultimately, this lesson teaches that the process of salvation, calling, vow, and anointing requires endurance and time, but it assures believers that God never forgets. His anointing guarantees that His purposes will be fulfilled in the lives of those who remain faithful. Inspired Teaching: Genesis 31:13 “I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and where you made a vow to Me. Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family.” There are many facets to God’s anointing and to the power that flows out of His anointing, in this lesson we will deal with the timing aspect of God’s anointing. Galatians 4:4 “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.” If you have been a Christian for a while, you know that the fulfillment of God’s promises always follows a clearly prescribed path. God gives us the promise, we believe in the promise that He gives us, and at the appropriate time we see its fulfillment take place in our lives. I believe that there is an aspect of God’s anointing, be it personal or corporal, that follows the same principle. Whenever we see a revival taking place, whether it be in a church, a city, or even a nation, it is the result of an anointed vow that persons made in the past concerning the areas where the revival is taking place. Keep this in mind, God always answers anointed prayers, even long after we have forgotten that we prayed them. I had a vision of the rapture that transformed everything in my Christian way of life back in February 12, 1989. As a result of the vision I searched desperately for a way to understand prophecy. Eight years to the very date, the book of Revelation finally made sense to me. I even wrote a book about it, it is called Man’s Final Destiny, where I put end time prophecy into the proper and understandable perspective as it is portrayed in the book of Revelation. I had gathered and compiled a great deal of notes and references while I endeavor to understand prophecy, along with those many notes I had a notebook where I had chronicled past daily reading of Scripture and the notes that I took while I was reading them. As I started to put those implements away since I now had the information that had eluded me all those years, I opened the notebook of past prayers to see where to store it, when an entry dated February 12 caught my eye, since this was the anniversary of my vision of the rapture. It turns out that years earlier before I had the vision of the rapture, I had read a Scripture in the book of Revelation and could not understand what it meant. I wrote the Scripture in the notebook and next to it I wrote an entry where I asked the Lord, would He please give me the ability to understand prophecy. So here I had evidence of a sincere prayer that I had prayed years earlier that I had forgotten, and God made sure that I would know that it was an answer to that simple prayer that I had prayed earlier by making the events to take place in the same calendar day. Both the vision of the rapture that compelled me to search and the day when it all finally made sense to me, fell on the anniversary of that simple anointed prayer. Genesis 28:17-19 “And he was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!’ Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel (house of God); but the name of that city had been Luz previously.” Then Jacob proceeded to make a vow before the Lord, and it was in answer to the anointed vow that Jacob had made earlier that has our opening text where God tells him to, 'Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family'. The prayer, the vow, the anointing, in faith believing in God’s promises; it is all a process, and a process always requires the passing of time. But to be sure, no matter how long it takes, whether we remember or have forgotten, God never forgets, for it is the presence of the anointing that serves as watchmen that are always there to remind Him. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” We see the same principle at work in the verse above. Jerusalem’s destiny is to be the city of the Great King, for Jesus will rule the earth from there during His thousand-year reign, when He will make Jerusalem to become a praise in the earth. Now during Isaiah’s day that future reign was about twenty-seven hundred years away, we are almost there now, but all this time the anointing has not ceased to call out to God to perform it. In the same manner there is an anointing that covers each one of us who believes in His promises, that anointing is continuously calling out to God to perform that which He has promised to do for us. 1 John 2:20 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things (intuitively).” How do we sort all this out? We need to understand the process! 2 Timothy 1:9 “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” First notice how Paul makes it clear that the holy calling is not according to our own works, but according to His own purpose and grace. Grace here means His gifts for us and that before time itself ever began. Step number one: We need to get saved! We need to understand that even before the creation, we were destined, and created to fulfill a purpose, His own purpose. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory (our destiny) of God.” But since we all have inherited a corrupt nature, we need to get saved that is we need to become born again of an incorruptible nature. Once we become saved, we are now qualified once again to fulfill His destiny for us, which when we do, it is all to the glory of God. Colossians 1:12 “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” Step number two: We need to answer the holy calling! Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” The only ones chosen are the ones who answer the call, not just in word but in deed as well. Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We answer the holy calling when we consecrate ourselves to bring about God’s kingdom upon this earth and His good and perfect will in our lives. Step number three: We make a holy vow before the Lord! Deuteronomy 12:26 “Only the holy things which you have (our holy calling), and your vowed offerings (our lives), you shall take and go to the place which the Lord chooses (which is His destiny for us). His salvation for us qualifies us to answer His holy calling, and in order for us to perform His holy calling in our lives, we need to take an oath of office if you will, and the only thing that we can bring into this oath is our positive answer to His call and a surrender of our lives to fulfill it. As we make a vow before the Lord, the Lord seals it with His anointing oil, which then continuously calls out to God to perform in us that which He originally destined us to be, as long as we stay the course. Step number four: He leads, and we follow! I pleasantly remember those early days of our Christian youth, when both, my wife and I would fall before the altar of our church whenever the Holy Spirit was moving in our midst, and there we would cry out to God: we will go where you want us to go, over mountains, over plains, over seas, and we will do what you want us to do! Other than to teach His Word, I never got any specific assignment or thing that I was to do, I just served in whatever area there was a need. But as I look back now I can see how important those early day vows were to our Lord. For it was there that the Lord placed His anointing over our lives that still directs our paths to this very day. Step number five: Forsake the world, Get out of this land! As the Lord told Jacob. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult (confined) is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” The allure of this world system is ease; live it up. Why should you suffer confinement instead of comfort? Keep it simple and avoid as much tribulation and persecution as you possible can. This so call gospel radiates out of many churches today, but Jesus warned us about this false gospel, not to fall for it. Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” Remember how the Lord told us that in this world we would have tribulation; so that the confinement of the true Gospel is the world’s aim, so that if we are suffering tribulation for the stand that we take, we know then that we are entering in the narrow gate and following the road of difficulties for that is His good and perfect will for us. Concerning spiritual gift and it's our scriptures in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. And I was reading um the other morning sitting in Riverside there in my car while waiting and I opened to this chapter and the Lord gave me a neat revelation and it says in um 1 Corinthians 12 verse1 it says now concerning spiritual gift brethren I do not want you to be ignorant and then immediately was like the Lord uh just brought the revelation to my mind that um uh spiritual gift have a purpose and the purpose has to do what he has been talking about. In other words, when he said concerning spiritual gift, I do not want you to be ignorant. And if you look back to take into context uh as the Lord showed me in um uh for example in in first Corinthians um uh chapter 11, he's talking about spiritual authority. In in verse two, he said, "But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ." And then he's talking about the man being the head of the woman, Christ being the head of the man, God being the head of Christ. So he's talking about spiritual authority. He's talking about uh the dangers of praying or ministering outside of the right proper spiritual authority. That's what he's talking about there. In other words, he's saying uh uh that when things kind of get out of line, uh we're not functioning under the proper anointing or under the proper covering. And if you go back even farther to put into context what he's talking about, he's talking about um he's talking about communion, having fellowship with God. For example, in 1 Corinthians 10 um verse 16, it says, "The cup of blessing which we bless is it not the communion of the blood of Christ, the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ." So there's an understanding to be had here that when he says in in in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 1 when he says concerning now spiritual gift brethren I do not want you to be ignorant he's taking into context two very major points that he just made in chapters 10 and chapter 11. In chapter 10, he's making the point that we as believers because of the blood of Jesus Christ, we have fellowship. You see, and as believers, we also are placed in a position of authority. Now, let's take this back to the time of of the apostles and so that we can grasp and understand. Remember how Sebedes, the sons of Zebedee, Zebedee's wife, the mother of John and Andrew, came to Jesus and said, "Jesus, when you come into the kingdom, why don't you let uh my uh my son sit at your right hand and at your left hand in your throne to rule." And then there's another occasion when Jesus comes in and says, "Listen, when you're invited to a feast, don't seek to sit closer to the head of the table to the master because he may come in and somebody more important than you may come in and he'll pluck you out of your chair and put that other person." He says, "Sit where the most humble people sit and then the master will see you and then he will sit you up." What he's talking about, he's talking about a custom. A custom in those day is fellowship. When you're in fellowship, the position that you sit in that place of fellowship determines what your ranking is. In other words, the higher ranking you are in that fellowship, the closer to the master you sit. The lower in ranking, the farther you are. Now, I want you to take these two principles here because this is what Paul is talking about. chapter 10 and chapter 11. In chapter 10, he says, "Hey, we're seated now with Christ in the heavenly places because we have fellowship with him." In other words, Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me." When we partake of communion, we are recognizing the fact that we are part of the body of Christ. Jesus sits at the head of the table like he did during the communion and the different disciples sit next to him on their positions that are given to him. So the fact that we are now part of the body of Christ places us in a position of authority with Christ. That's what it's talking about. 1 Corinthians chapter 10 1 Corinthians 11 is talking about fellowship and authority. That's what it's talking about. So when in 1 Corinthians 12:1 he says, "Now concerning spiritual gifts, I do not want you to be ignorant." We need to place it within the context is that in fellowship with Christ, we have position and we have ranking. Okay, we need to understand this because this is the whole framework of the gift. This is how they operate. As a matter of fact, if you read farther down, where we're not going to get to tonight, in in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, uh he makes the very statement that in Christ, we're all like part of a body. In other words, we're not all an eye. We're not all an ear. But imagine if you put the eye on the knee, you would have a hard time praying, getting in your knees to pray because your eyes can't handle that. So he is talking about here that no matter what position you have in the body, whatever position has been given to you, whether you're a male or a female as he's using it in in in in 11 when he talking about that the woman not to pray with her head on cover. And when he's talking about that a man cannot pray with his head uncovered, meaning that Christ is his head. And if he's going to do spiritual warfare, he better have Christ as his covering, just like a woman needs to have her husband as a covering or her pastor, he's talking about a position in Christ, a fellowship with him. And then he's talking about not only a position of authority, h a position that brings us to a place of authority. In other words, whether you're the little toe, whether you're the nail, whether you're the eye, whether you're the ear, it does not matter. You fit into that pattern. And to men, now remember, they asked Jesus right in the context of when uh Zebed's uh wife uh wanted one of her sons sitting at his right hand and as his left hand. Jesus says the kingdom of God is not like the gentile world. In the gentile world, you lorded over people. He said, you know, the one with the most drive, the one that can bribe more people or convince more people or lead more people, he takes a head seat. He said, no, in the kingdom of God, the more humble person a person is, the more he to be exalted. In other words, you want to be great in the kingdom of God, be a servant of them all. Now, why is that? Because God governs and rules through principles, spiritual principles. Just like gravity. If gravity was taken right now, we all go floating. And if we don't have nothing to grab on to, man, we're in trouble because we're just out there in space doing nothing. God works always through laws which are called spiritual principle. And God has a very simple spiritual principle which he governs everything by. He says that God resists the proud but yet he exalts the humble. So you want to be great in the kingdom of God, be humble. And God is going to come to your little seat where you're at and going to move you to a higher position of authority because why? Because he has to obey. He governs by the rules that he made. And that's the rule that he made. The humble he lifts up. And now the one that exalts himself, what is it? That God resists the proud. So we need to understand then that in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 when we read verse one when Paul says now brethren concerning spiritual gifts I do not want you to be ignorant. We need to take that into the context that Paul is speaking about as believers. We have fellowship with Christ. And because we have fellowship with Christ within the structure of the fellowship we are given a position. we are given a position of authority. That's what he's talking about in in in chapter 11 being in the right under the proper government uh government ruling uh spiritual ruling of God. So the spiritual gift have to do with placing us in the proper place of fellowship with God and in the proper place of authority with God. So if we start with that then we're going to be able to understand what it's talking about. Now I want you to read. We're going to read verse one and verse two. 1 Corinthians 12. He says, "Now concerning spiritual gift, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant." Verse two, "You know that you were Gentiles carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led." Now Paul very purposely puts the word there d them. He's not putting down on an on idols. He is trying to bring a very very important point. And what he's saying over here is that when we were gentiles and the problem with the word gentile that's become a fancy word. Oh we're all gentiles. The word gentiles mean pagan means idoltor means an idol worshipper. That's what the word pagan means. It means that hey, when you were an idoltor, when you were a pagan, when you were in the world, before you came into the fellowship that you are now in with Christ, and before you came into the position in which God has placed you, you had an authority and you had a position because you were influenced. You were led by idols. You see, so the spiritual gift are designed to take as if it were our nature or carnality or the position that was given to us by these dumb idols by our pagan ways of walking and placing us within the proper framework and context of the purpose and plan that God has for us. That's what he's saying concerning spiritual gifts. Brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant. You need to understand that now that you're a believer, you're in Christ. You have fellowship with God in the house of God. There is a seat. There is a spot that is reserved for you on that. You occupy a place of authority. And when you're part of the body and you're exercising your full authority within your context of the place of authority, you're making the body work. Hallelujah. You're making the body work. Things are happening. But when you're not within your position and within the realm of your authority, you're hindering. And that's why we need the gift. The gifts are there to place us in the proper place. That's what he's talking about. Now first of all we need to understand that as Gentiles or pagans all of our ways that means the way we think was influenced by demonic stuff. Now I don't have it there in the notes but u uh uh I need you to to see this. I was thinking today as I was meditating is in James and I think it's chapter 3. Uh James chapter 3 if I can find James. Where are you James? There you go. I'm already there. James 3. And I spoke this many times is James 3 verse 12. Let's begin there. It says, "Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grape vine bear figs? Does no spring yield both salt water and fresh?" Believe it or not, this is the context into which Paul is talking about. We're going to read a scripture later to where it says, "Are you trying to make God jealous because you're partaking of the table of demons and you're partaking of the table of God?" So the context here is that now that we are situated or positioned in Christ, we need to assume or fulfill the responsibility of that office that has been given to us. And then he says um in verse 13 James 3:13 say who is wise and understanding among you. Remember I don't want you to be ignorant brethren. That's what 121 says. I don't want you concerning spiritual gifts. I do not want you to be ignorant. who is wise and under standing among you. Let him show by the conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. Remember wisdom is a spirit. He said, "But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth because this wisdom or this spirit, this influence does not descend from above, but is earthly, is sensual, and is demonic." And I want you to to underline those two words, sensual and demonic. And then he says, "For where there's envy, self-seeking, there's confusion, and all kinds of evil are there." And then he contrasts that by the wisdom that come from above, he says, "But the wisdom that is from above is first of all pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield and and all kinds of things." So I want you to see that what Paul is trying to deal with here is our carnality versus our spiritual position in fellowship and authority with Christ. Our carnality, the influences of the flesh are going to be in contrast with the position that we are in Christ in our fellowship with him and the authority that has been vested upon us as Christian. And so that if we don't see that the spiritual gift are tools that God has made available to pull us out or remove us from under the influence of the wisdom of this world which is demonic then we cannot come into the fullness of our position and fellowship that we have with Christ. This is why so many Christians fail. Now I want to take you in a journey as to why pagan when we were pagans that's before we were saved when we were pagan how much influence that demonic structure of this world that wisdom that we just read the self-seeking and sensual how detrimental that was to us because that DNA is deeply engraed saved in our human nature and that's what the gifts are for to remove that. Let's go first to Psalm 115 and let's read verses 2-8. Psalm 115 verses 2-8. He says, "Why should the Gentiles say, so where is their God?" Now notice he begins with a question. Why do do pagans say where is their God? How many of you know that now that's what the world says to Christians? Where is your God? How come you're dying of cancer the same way everybody else has got cancer? You're getting divorced the same way everybody gets divorced. you know, you're having to do the same things that we're having to do. So, where is your God? Now, watch what he says. He says, "But our God is in heaven, and he does whatever he pleases." Now, the pagans, verse four, their idols are silver and gold, the work of man's hands. And this is what I want you to see. This is very important. The idols, the works of manham, they have mouth but they do not speak. Eyes they have but they do not see. They have ears but they do not hear. Noses they have but they do not smell. They have hands but they do not handle. Feet they have but they do not walk. Nor do they mutter through their thro. And here's the kicker. Those who make them are like them, and so is everyone who trusts in them. Now, if you didn't catch it, he was talking about the five senses. He says they have eyes, they do not see, they have ears, they do not hear, they have noses, they cannot smell, they have mouth, they cannot taste, they have hands, they have feet, they can't do anything. And it says that those who make him, which is the wisdom of this world, the selfseeking that is embedded in all of us, we were under that influence as Gentiles, as pagans becau before we came into the commonwealth of Israel, which is the promise of God of Abraham according to the spirit where he said, "Your seed shall be like the stars of the heaven." That inheritance that we have before we enter into it, that's what we were under. We were this is so are the ones who make him and the ones who worship that lifestyle they become like them. Imagine that. What does it mean to become like an idol? It means you cannot hear the spirit of God. Means you cannot see the reality of spiritual things. Means you cannot does the Bible say come and taste and see that the that the Lord is good. You cannot taste the word of God. You speak it but it's not food. There's it's like eating cardboard, dry box, something like that. Why? The reason is because of the fact that idols are designed to keep men bound so that they cannot hear the spirit of God and be set free. Remember what Jesus said, lest they hear and be healed lest they hear. Isaiah says, you know, they they they hear uh they have ears, but they cannot hear. And and then he says, and and and unless they hear and be healed. So, we're talking about coming into the inheritance of God. But it says that we inherited all of that. You see, before I was born again, I could read the Bible and I could say, "Man, no wonder the world is so messed up." All you could see when I was reading in the Bible was wars and killings and murders and everything else. You see, my spirit was shut up. Could not see, could not hear, could not taste, could not smell. It wasn't until I experienced a rebirth. Born again, born of the spirit where that dumb idol. That's why Paul calls it the no matter why dumb. Because you don't hear and you don't speak, you're called dumb. That's why he called them. They don't have the ability to speak or to hear. We were led when we were pagans by dom idols. And these do idols kept us boxed in to where we could not see the fellowship the the seed of fellowship that we have with Christ. And we cannot understand the authority that comes with a sitting that we're now seated with Christ. That means that we need to be delivered. We need to be delivered. We need to be delivered from ears that cannot hear. We need to be delivered from eyes that cannot see. Have you ever been around a person that is negative all the time and and in every situation they see the worst and and and you're not involved in it and and immediately you perceive man that person will be so negative. He could see the blessing right there. Their attitude is what keeping them. I mean the person might be dying to hire them but they're doing everything in the world to keep the guy from hiring because of the attitude. You cannot see things like that and that's what he's talking about. So then what first Corinthians chapter 12 what he's talking about he's about God has made available for us spiritual gift because he said brethren concerning spiritual gift I do not want you to be ignorant those spiritual gift has been given to us for a purpose and the purpose is to deliver us from the demonic influences. that we have inherited from our old lifestyle when we were pagans. As a matter of fact, there's another scripture that I want to bring it more at home. And it's right there in 1 Corinthians chapter 10. If you're still in in 1 Corinthians 12, just back up just a little bit so that you can see that all of these things that Paul is doing, he's he's he's they're all chapter 10, chapter 11, they're all talking about. Look at ch 1 Corinthians chapter 10 uh verses 19 and 20. Look what Paul says what I am saying then that an idol is anything or what is offered to idols is anything. He's asking the question, but look what he says. The statement that he makes in 1 Corinthians 10:20. Rather, the things with the Gentiles or the pagans sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And because of that, Paul says to us, those who are believers, no, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. because you cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. So he's saying as a believer now you cannot remain in your old lifestyle. You have been given a seat of fellowship at the Lord's table which is his body, the church. That's what 1 Corinthians 12, if you read it, he says uh uh this gift are given for the profit of all and we're like a body. There's just one head. See, a lot of people say, well, uh, uh, you know, to justify their stronghold in a church or in a group or fellowship, anything with more than one head is a monster, they say. And I agree with that. Jesus is the head. That's what they don't understand. They're not. Jesus is the only head and Jesus operates through the full body. Any healthy church will have different people manifesting and and and ministry through different gifts. As a matter of fact, you read 1 Corinthians 13, it it says there are many gifts, but there's one spirit. There's the same Holy Spirit. He works. And you know, the Holy Spirit loves working through multiplicity of people. Get a group and begin to minister and you'll see that he the Holy Spirit will jump from one person to the other one to the other one to the other. Why? Because God operates in principles. And what is another principle that God tries to keep us from? Pride comes before the fall. And God knows in our human nature, we're very much prone to pride. So if the Holy Spirit does everything through you and you become the big head, pretty soon you're going to fall over. So the Holy Spirit will just use you for for a part and then he'll move to somebody else. And then you said, "Wow, I can't believe the Lord gave him that." And the other person say, "Look at you. I can't believe the Lord gave him that." But the thing is the two parts work together and bring the deliverance to the to to the thing that you need. And so what? Nobody gets full up because everybody said, "Man, if pray had not been here, that would not happen or if this had not happened." So So the Holy Spirit loves working like that. So he says in 1 Corinthians 12, if you read part of there are many gift but one spirit. But then he goes on to say there are different ministries but just one Lord. I don't care whether you're a pastor or a prophet or whether you're an evangelist or whether you're a teacher or whether you're an apostle, whoever you are, Jesus still is ahead. Why? Because he is the chief cornerstone. He's the head of the church. He is he he he he occupies every main office of the church. He occupies he's king. He's high priest. He's prophet. He's the apostle of our faith. Everything that has a title that governs and rules the body, the church is Jesus. All of us are just somewhere in there. And it's amazing that when h as 70 son's mother asked Jesus, he says those position are reserved by God as to who sits to his right hand and to his left hand. Only God has got those position. And you know what? When we get to heaven and we see those seated up there, I can guarantee you we never heard of them. We never knew them. There's some place some place to where and they suffer endure and whatever God knows the heart. He says whatever you do in secret will be rewarded in public. So then in 1 Corinthians chapter 12, what Paul is talking about when he says, "Now, brethren, concerning spiritual gift, I do not want you to be ignorant." And it's not to be ignorant of the fact that we have fellowship through our communion with Jesus Christ. And because we're in that fellowship, we have been given a position of authority, a seat. See, when you're going to uh the feast, everybody sits at a special place. We all sit at a special place. And that sit is reserved for just us. And he says, "And I want you to understand this." And I also want you to understand that when you were pagan, you were led by do idols that blocked your ability to hear, that blocked your ability to see, that blocked your ability to smell and taste and touch. And so because of that, you need deliverance in some of these areas so that you can be set free. And if you're not set free and you say, "Hey, I don't need it." Then you're going to have a problem. And the problem is in the scripture uh before us. Uh look at 1 Corinthians uh 11 verse 27-30. In 1 Corinthians 11:27-30, talking about our fellowship and and what we're commanded to do, the communion, he says, "Therefore, whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord." Now, it says that there's a proper way to take it in and there's a proper way and and and and and a a profane way of doing it. Verse 18, but let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, partake of the word of God, and drink of the cup, the blood that Jesus shed for us. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. And then look what it says in verse 30. For this reason, what is he talking about? What is he talking about? For this reason, because of failure to understand the our nature that is corrupted, for this reason many of you are weak and sick among you and many have died. So meaning that in the Lord in our table of fellowship that we have with the Lord, the bread is for the healing and the blood is for forgiveness. I don't care what illness any Christian has, he has a right to come to the table of the Lord. Look at uh Psalm 23. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemy. this table, that bread of healing is the bread, the body of Christ. It says Peter quoting uh Isaiah says by the stripes of Jesus, you were healed. When we partake of the bread, it's not necessarily the communion that can happen on the communion, but when we take the word of God that says, "I am the Lord that heals you." And we're facing cancer or we're facing some kind of destructive disease and we can partake of that word. With eyes that see, hallelujah, with ears that hear, with the ability to taste and see that the Lord is good, the smell of the blood of Jesus that was shed for us, we're able to touch the hymn of his garment and immediately were healed. But he says many of you because you're failing to understand that your position of authority and fellowship in Christ cannot be handled in the natural way. You see cannot be handled in the natural rational way of thinking. This is the mistake that most Christians make. Their ministry is based on the human senses. That's what James 3 said. He says the wisdom that comes from here is is it is it it is demonic. It is sensual. It is based on the senses. It's based on what you see and what you hear. And the Bible tells us uh uh not to lean into our own understanding. That there's a way that seemed right to a man and that the end is destruction. So then what Paul is saying before you can handle your position of fellowship and authority you better understand what the spiritual gifts are there for because the spiritual gift concerning spiritual gift is what's going to set you free. Now look at verse three. This this can trouble many people for a long time. 1 Corinthians 12:3 in first he says now concerning spiritual gift verse one brethren I do not want you to be ignorant verse two you know that when you were pagans you were carried away to these dumb idols wherever you were led therefore I make known to you and you have to make sure you you pay attention here I make known to you that no one speaking by the spirit Spirit of God calls Jesus a curse and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit. Now that doesn't seem to make sense, does it? It is in a place there and it's standing all by itself and you say, "Man, what is that all about?" Well, that confirmed the scripture that I read to you in James chapter 3 where it says that there's two wisdoms. There's a wisdom that comes from above, peaceful, pure, and then there's a wisdom that come from this world which is based on sensual and demonic. That means that there are only two fountains. That means that there are only two wells. That means that there are only two sources. This is what it's talking about. And when we were pagans, guess what source we were drinking and flowing out of? Idolatry. And guess what? That idolatry brought dumb. Can see, can hear, can smell, can taste, can touch. You see? And so now he's saying here that you cannot say that Jesus Christ is Lord unless the spirit of God is saying that through you. And you cannot say Jesus occurs if you're born again because you see only the pagans can say that because the spirit of God is in you will not allow you to say anything bad about Jesus because the spirit testified about Jesus. That's all he does. He's here for the purpose of Jesus. The spirit of God will never ever put in a Christian to say something bad about Jesus. Never. It can't. the spirit of God and in the same way in our own nature we can never say Jesus is Lord unless the spirit of God truth you see we we were dumb our eyes our ears everything was blocked we could not see we could not hear it took the spirit of God to connect us see when Jesus send the disciples and gave him power they came back what Lord we spoke in your name and demons went out said don't rejoice in that rejoice that you had the password to heaven Yeah. And it's your name. Your name is written in heaven. When you say in the name of Jesus, your voice registers in heaven and immediately shows that's Marcos. Whoever it is you're born again, your name is in is written in the register just like a computer. Just type in your password and guess what? If you're not connected, you're not going to get in. Okay? You got to be signed up. You got to have a password. Your name is your password. You cannot say Jesus is Lord unless the spirit of God is in you. That's why he said rejoice that your name is written in heaven. That when you pray by the power of the Holy Spirit immediately it is answered. But now remember Jesus speaking about this he says my sheep know my voice. said, "But there are thieves that tried to come in through through the fence or through the back door, but they're not allowed in." See, here on earth, you can do that. You can fool a lot of people. You know, you wear the right clothes, say the right things and everything, and man, you can build a a great following. But that doesn't fool God. You see, you you cannot say Jesus is Lord. And and since we're dealing with demons because you see super personally sick, you know, and you can talk a good talk and play a good game and you can preach a great service, you say in the name of Jesus, if the spirit of God is not ended, that demon is just sitting over there laughing at you eating popcorn or lighting up one or whatever it is they do. You have no authority. You have no power. You see, the only power that we have is the gift that God gives us. Because the gifts are the tools. are the weapons. The gift concerning spiritual gift are the weapons that God gives us to defeat or destroy the power of these things that work with us. And so what he's saying here is in the spirit realm, in the natural you can fool a lot of people, but in the spiritual realm you're either connected to one or the other source. You're either connected to the wisdom that comes from above. Your name is written in heaven. When you speak, there's authority in your voice and demons have to obey. Or you just pulling a game and you're doing, you know what the thing does? You're you're you're in for self-seeking. You know, you just heard of this this pastor that just retired and the church is building him a $10 million church, a 10,000 um uh uh square feet living and stuff like that. And yet all of the years he's been preaching about the poor, all of the poor people and and and how does that um and and and you know, but people can't see nothing wrong with that. And then you know, and you see that in how many other congregations, people that have, you know, mega mega churches and have this uh big big mansions and all that stuff. You never see Jesus do that because when he said he cared about the poor, he really cared about the poor. He says the son of man doesn't have a nest for the birds have nest for he said son of man doesn't have a house doesn't have a place he has one goal and the goal is deliver the people the the people that are bound he saw the people like sheep without a shepherd who were hassle and and being destroyed by by the enemy. So then we get to the point now to where he says that there are diversity of gifts. Now we can understand how these gifts work. If you break them down and you have them there in your note, three of the gifts are called Ottoman's gift. And it is so important because the idols that we were under were dumb. They cannot speak. Okay. Order and gift. The every time you read in the book of Acts that the Holy Spirit fell on people, the first manifestation that came out of the people is they began to speak in other tongues. Now, why why is that? Why? Why is it that all of the sudden the Holy Spirit brought a prompting within the people to prophesy and to speak because before that you couldn't. It's just that simple. See, you were connected to a dead socket. It looked like a real one and everything and you were plugged in, but there was no juice flowing from there. You could not see, you could not hear, you could not smell, you could not taste. When you were plugged into the spirit of God, guess what? The light came on. Your mouth moved. Inspired Teaching: Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” In our previous lesson, Visible and Invisible, I commented that the number one rule in understanding how the physical and invisible creation interacts was The Word, for it is written: Colossians 2:3 “In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” So that not only do all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge abide in God’s Word, but they also abide in The Word that became flesh! Colossians 2:9 “For in Him (The Word that became flesh: Jesus) dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” So that according to our opening text, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord have residing within us already all these treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:10 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” But notice carefully how Paul describes it in our opening text, Christ in you the hope of glory. What that basically means is that a great gift has been given to all of us who believe, and that within all of us who believe in Christ, resides the potential to access those hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now from the scientific point of view what that means is that we, those of us who believe in Christ, have been given the power by faith in the name of Jesus to manipulate the basic elements that comprise all matter. So that when Paul writes to us that in Christ we have the hope of glory, what he means is that in Christ we have the grounds to expect the manifestation of that which is invisible to us, or another way of saying it, that which seems impossible to us in the natural. So that true faith is based on the real evidence of something that already exists in the invisible or spiritual realm called heaven, where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Scripture tells us that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed, Christ in us gives us the hope of accessing that healing that God has already released and loosed in heaven, to come to reality here in our physical confine if we can by faith release it here on the earth where it is needed. Why do these healings do not take place all the time? Why don’t they become a reality as they should on behalf of those of us who believe? Colossians 2:8 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.” Notice the phrase according to the basic principles. A basic principle is a foundational law that governs a realm. There are laws or principles that govern the physical realm, and there are laws or principles that govern the spiritual realm. In the physical or visible realm, the basic law that permeates everything is entropy, because in our physical world everything eventually dies, for all that is visible is passing away. In the spiritual invisible realm however the basic law that permeates everything is the law of life, which is the law of Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all die (entropy), even so in Christ all shall be made alive (deliverance from entropy, that is our blessed hope).” Those who operate according to the basic principles of the world cannot produce life, so that the healing that is needed does not come to pass on their behalf. However those who operate according to the basic principles of Christ, receive the healing needed to continue with a good and abundant life, for they are following the proper protocol. Colossians 3:1-2 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above (the invisible spiritual realm), not on things on the earth (the visible physical realm).” Let us ask these two simple questions and then a third: where does sickness come from? And where do healings come from? Sickness comes from the past and healings come from the future age that is to come! Now let me ask one more question, where does the past and the future come together? The answer to the third question is in Christ, for He is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. He has borne our sicknesses and diseases, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities which is where all sicknesses came from, that answers the first question. Now here is the answer to the second question. Hebrews 6:5 “And have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come.” Every healing that Jesus performed He brought from the future age that is to come; for it is written in Scripture that in the future every knee will bow and that every tongue will confess, that every eye will see Him, and that in Christ all shall be made alive. Hebrews 12:12-13 “Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Now we understand from science that in the invisible world of sub-atomic particles which form all the things which are visible, that these sub-atomic particles exist in two different places at the same time, that is they transcend time and space. So that if our sicknesses are caused by past sins and iniquities that oppress us in the present, we can summon through the Word of God, the powers of the age to come and remedy whatever situation we face, if we dare to believe that with God nothing is impossible. Matthew 17:20 “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” Now let us think about a literal mountain, if Jesus spoke to a high mountain and told it to move from here to someplace else, what would be the mechanics involved? Well we have an answer from nature! Every minute tons of water evaporate from the world’s oceans, move themselves away from there and travel to far away places where they come down as rain or snow, literally tons and tons of them fall back down to earth every minute somewhere in the world. What are the mountains made of? Sub-atomic particles that are held together by an invisible force, and in the same way that the sub-atomic particles that forms the waters that are in the oceans and are disbanded and made to fly away and then to come together again someplace else, the Word of the Lord has the same power to influence the dirt that forms the mountains or anything else, even the living things. Psalm 97:5 “The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of all the earth.” What I am trying to do here is to encourage your hope in the Word of God, for the Word of God is a lot more real than anything that exists within our physical realm. The entire world system is designed to get people away from trusting in the hope of glory that we have in Christ, but if you are in Christ do not be cheated out of your inheritance in the light by going back into trusting in the basic principles of this world. Colossians 2:20 “Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations (things that perish with the using and which are not eternal like the promises of God are).” Previous Next Home
