  • THE POWER OF GOD | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE POWER OF GOD The objective of this teaching is to reveal how the true power of God operates through the message of the cross, under the influence of divine wisdom and meekness. It aims to help believers understand that God’s power is not given for destruction or domination, but for liberation, deliverance, and the salvation of humankind. By filtering power through the cross, Christians can exercise authority rightly—against spiritual forces of darkness and not against flesh and blood—so that God’s mercy and truth are revealed to the world. THE POWER OF GOD Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal how the true power of God operates through the message of the cross, under the influence of divine wisdom and meekness. Synopsis: In The Power of God, Pastor Marcos contrasts the world’s understanding of wisdom and power with God’s. While human rulers often wield authority selfishly and foolishly, God demonstrates that true power is always controlled by wisdom and guided by mercy. Jesus’ rebuke of the disciples when they wished to call down fire on their enemies illustrates that divine power is never for destruction but for salvation. The teaching highlights that worldly wisdom is unstable and dangerous because it lacks the safeguard of meekness. In contrast, heavenly wisdom operates with humility, ensuring that God’s power is never abused. The cross is revealed as the mechanism that activates and governs God’s power within believers—what appears to the carnal mind as weakness is, in reality, the source of divine strength and deliverance. Pastor Marcos explains that Psalm 149, when viewed through the cross, calls Christians not to wage war against people, but against spiritual rulers of darkness. The true enemy is not humanity, but the kingdom of darkness that manipulates people into conflict and destruction. Thus, the church’s mission is to liberate, not oppress, by exercising spiritual authority through prayer, the Word of God, and Christlike mercy. The believer’s call is to let every motive pass through the cross, where selfish desires die and God resurrects only what aligns with His purpose. This inward deliverance produces maturity, which in turn empowers communal intercession and revival. As Christians live in the reality of “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27), the power of God is revealed—not as worldly domination, but as the liberating force of truth, mercy, and resurrection life that transforms communities and defeats the kingdom of darkness. Inspired Teaching: 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” There are two things in life that affect all humans: Wisdom and Power. If we define Power as ruling authority, we are all under the power of authorities that rule over us, no matter what nation we live in. If you are alive somewhere in this world, you are living under somebody’s law/rule. And if we define Wisdom as the ability of those who have power to rule over us, to do it wisely and for the betterment of those over whom they govern, then, there are a lot of foolish people in power. It has been my experience for most of my adult life that those who have power to rule over my actions are always more interested in meeting their own needs instead of mine. Since God is the Almighty, and all wisdom and power originate from Him, it behooves us to understand how the power of an Almighty God is always under the control of His wisdom. How many times do we as humans have wished that God would do something to some fool out there that is out and about doing harm to others through the power that they posses over them? Luke 9:54 “And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, ‘Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?’” If we ever wished that, I guess we were not the first. But we can learn a lot about God’s wisdom from the answer that Jesus gave His disciples. Luke 9:55 “But He turned and rebuked them, and said, ‘You do not know what manner of spirit (influence) you are of (or under). For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.’ And they went to another village.” Here we learn that wisdom is a spirit or an influence, and that foolishness is a spiritual influence as well that can bring much harm. We also learn that the wisdom of God saves men’s life from destruction, and that power in the wrong hands can bring about the destruction of men through the spirit of foolishness working through them. James 3:13 “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works (actions) are done in the meekness of wisdom.” So that the wisdom that comes from above, the wisdom that controls the power that has been given to those of us who believe, has a safety that overrides the trigger, this safety is called meekness, and it assures us that the power given to us will not be abused. James 3:15 “This wisdom (foolishness, also known as earthly wisdom) does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.” The so call wisdom of this world, has no safety on its trigger, for it is activated by the human senses, and it goes off when you least expect it. 1 Corinthians 1:20 “Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? Now we understand why deliverance plays such a big role in the ability of Christians to exercise God’s power here on the earth. Worldly Christians whose nature is governed by the sentiments of their flesh, can cause a lot of harm to those whom God is trying to save. Were not the same Samaritans that rejected Jesus at first, that had some disciples wanting to destroy them, that later received the Gospel with joy when Phillip preached to them about the resurrected Christ? Which brings us back to the mechanism that controls the trigger of the power of God that has been vested on those of us who believe: 1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” So that the power of God that has been vested on those of us who believe, has to be activated through the cross, something that seems foolish to our carnal mind, for in the cross we see nothing but weakness and death. Let us ask one very basic question first: What kind of power from God has been vested on those of us who believe? Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!” Now if we look at Psalm 149 from the earthly wisdom that God calls foolishness, the church would be an aggressive entity declaring war on the unbelieving nations and warring against them in order to overcome them and to enforce our rule over them. To achieve that we would have to kill the people who oppose our rule, and destroy the nations that do not comply with our Christian doctrine, if that was the church’s doctrine. But if we look at Psalm 149 through the filter of the cross, we find what Jesus taught us, and which is the real doctrine of the church: For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. How do we rightly judge the power of God that has been vested on us through the filter of the cross? Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts (armies) of wickedness in the heavenly places.” The cross opens our eyes to the spiritual reality that our power from God is not to be used against humankind, but rather, against the spiritual wickedness that oppresses humankind. We are to be liberators, not oppressors like them. How does the church implement the power of God that it has been endowed with, for the liberation of humankind? First we identify the enemy; who are the nations, who are the peoples, and who are their kings and who are their nobles, that we are to subdue in accordance with Psalm 149? The kingdom of darkness has a structure, just like the world has a structure wherein the nations fit together. The nations in the world have armies and police units to enforce the rules that empower their rulers over the peoples they govern, it is the same in the kingdom of darkness. It is against the kingdom of darkness that all Christians are called to enforce mastery over, to defeat their nations, and to inflict punishment in their demonic populace, and to do so by capturing their leaders and their nobles and binding them with fetters of iron: that is, to execute on them the written judgment, God’s Word! In summary, we have been empowered by God to fight against a spiritual army of wickedness that resides in the heavenly places, an invisible realm that requires of us to have spiritual discernment. The rulers of this demonic army hide in the darkness of man’s ignorance of their existence, and continuously promote hatred and discord between the human race, so that we are always fighting and blaming one another for the wrong that is all around us, unawares that all the chaos and mayhem is always the result of demonic instigations. John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the and the truth shall make you free.” Truth is enlightenment, if I know that my human adversaries are not my real enemies, then the power of God is activated within me in order for me to defeat the real enemy, which is the spiritual stronghold that rules over my human enemies and causes them to contend against me. So that now I am not just waging war against spiritual forces for the sake of overcoming them, by I see a loftier goal, the liberation of my human comrades who unknowingly have become a weapon of our real enemy, the devil, who manipulates them from the kingdom of darkness. How do I do that? By following and executing God’s written judgments. Luke 6:27-28 “But I say to you who hear: Love your (human) enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.” And here is where the cross comes in: Luke 6:36 “Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.” When the mercy that God revealed on the cross towards us humans is our motive, the safety is removed from the trigger of God’s power, for He knows that our aim now is to liberate humanity and not to conquer them. 1 Corinthians 1:23 “But we preach Christ crucified…” The two-edge sword of God’s Word is to be applied both ways, first personally, and then within the Christian community of saints, the local church, that aims to bring deliverance into their areas of influence. Nothing that we ever do as believers, spiritually or in everyday life, can ever be accepted by God except that it dies first on the cross, for its death on the cross of Christ will reveal the true motive behind it; and if the motive for our actions is God’s motive, then it will be resurrected by God and used as a lethal weapon that utterly annihilates the enemy. Colossians 2:15 “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He (Jesus) made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (the cross).” So that true deliverance begins within the motives and intents of our hearts, and as we open our hearts to the introspection of God’s Word, Jesus faithfully takes to the cross all our selfishness and foolish desires, and He nails them there for all to see. But it is there, as our earthly desires languish on the painful and slow death of the cross, that our spiritual eyes are opened to the reality of life, and our priorities begin to change. All of the sudden this world begins to lose its luster and those things that seemed so real to us at one time in life, now look more like refuse and we wonder what in the world it was that ever attracted us to them. It is when a community of saints reach that point of maturity in their personal lives that communal intercession begins to take shape. As our Lord begins to move in them and through them as a single body of believers that begins to shed light upon the darkness that engulfs their community there revival begins to take place and the scales fall from the eyes of those who were walking in darkness as they are exposed to the enlightenment of the power of God, fulfilling our last Scripture. Colossians 1:27 “To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Previous Next Home

  • DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT The objective of this teaching is to instruct believers on how to honor and preserve the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries. Pastor Marcos emphasizes the necessity of walking in alignment with God’s calling, maintaining humility and unity, and understanding the unique functions of the fivefold ministry. The goal is to ensure that Christians live and serve in a way that builds up the body of Christ and does not hinder or grieve the Holy Spirit, who is essential for all true ministry. DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to instruct believers on how to honor and preserve the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries. Synopsis: In Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit, Pastor Marcos unpacks Paul’s warning in Ephesians 4:30, reminding the church that ministry apart from the Spirit is ineffective. He begins by stressing the importance of believers knowing and walking in their specific calling, as failing to do so disrupts the Spirit’s flow and hinders spiritual growth. Using an illustration from his personal work experience, he highlights that God alone determines and equips each person’s role, and success comes from faithfulness to that call rather than comparison with others. Pastor Marcos then explains the necessity of humility, patience, and unity in ministry. He warns against desiring positions outside of one’s calling for reasons of pride or prestige, as such attitudes grieve the Spirit and harm the body. Every gift and calling, he notes, is for the equipping of the saints and the edification of the one body of Christ. The teaching then explores the functions of the fivefold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—comparing them to the five senses of the human body, which allow Christ’s body to function effectively on earth. Apostolic and prophetic ministries provide foundational truth, evangelists win souls, pastors guard and feed the flock, and teachers store and distribute the treasures of God’s Word. Each role is vital, and misalignment or neglect diminishes the church’s health. Ultimately, Pastor Marcos reminds readers that grieving the Spirit occurs when believers ignore their God-given assignments, serve with the wrong attitudes, or fail to honor the structure God established for His church. He calls Christians to embrace their calling, walk in unity and humility, and serve faithfully under the Spirit’s anointing so that the body of Christ may grow into the fullness of Christ. Inspired Teaching: Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” In Ephesians chapter four Paul is dealing with the church from the perspective of what God’s call is to the body of Christ for ministry, Paul is dealing with all levels of ministry. By the time that he gets to the end of the chapter he adds the above warning: Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, almost as a redundant warning of something that should have been obvious to all who were serving our Lord back then, and that is that, without the Holy Spirit there is no true ministry. Unfortunately, what was very clear to the believers of Paul’s day has become somewhat muddled in our present time, because there are many ministries today that do not function under the unction of the Holy Spirit. Let us begin under the assumption that the ministers and ministry types that we are going to examine here, are all called by God and abide in true service to God; then let us ask this question: How do I personally, and how do we as a body, keep from grieving the Holy Spirit of God when rendering to Him what is our due reverence to Him, our service? Number One: We need to know what our calling is! Ephesians 4:1 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Not knowing what our calling is, and that we are all called, will surely hinder in us the flow of the Holy Spirit that is so vital for our spiritual growth, and so necessary for our training and edification. Imagine getting hired to work in a large department store or factory, and when we get there we have no idea as to what place or division we are to report to. We wouldn't just start working and serving aimlessly somewhere in that place in the hope that somebody from the placement department that hired us to begin with will eventually find us and send us to our proper destination. Yet, that is what many Christians do, after they get saved instead of seeking what God’s ministry and calling is for them, they just serve out of place where others are glad to have their help, but it will not profit the person that is in the wrong place any, because as far as management is concerned, they did not show up to work where they were needed. Number Two: We need to have the right attitude, a humbled spirit! Ephesians 4:2-3 “With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another with love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” There are some that after they get saved, have a desire to serve in a ministry that they are not called to perform, because in their eyes this other ministry is a more glamorous ministry than the one, they know they were called to; this too is grievous to the Holy Spirit. So that we are not only supposed to be in the right ministry, but we also need to have the right attitude about the ministry that we are in. Humility includes lots of patience also, and patience is needed because in a sense we are all in training. If we think that we can do a better job at what another person has been called to do, our tendency might be that of doing their part just because we can do it better and or faster than they can, and by us doing what they are supposed to be doing, we hinder their calling to the point that they will never get the training necessary to eventually fulfill their calling. I was involved in the making of a TV commercial once for the company that I worked for at that time. The setting was in a beautiful three story house in Malibu, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I was spraying the outside stucco of the house with a life long texture coating material, the owner of the company had arranged for a Hollywood crew that filmed commercials to be there the day that I was spraying. After they finished filming my part, they set up to the side of the house a tarp over the grass and put a bucket of paint into which one of the commercial making crew was to through a paint brush into, to make the emphasis that if you put our product on your house you could get rid of your paint and brushes, for you would never have to paint again. There were about eight people in the commercial filming crew, and this one fellow was assigned the task of throwing the brush into the paint bucket, a smile still comes to my face as I am telling you the story, for this fellow could not hit the inside of the bucket no matter how hard the poor fellow tried. Take after take, changing the angle, getting closer to the bucket, nothing, they tried everything. Others on the crew would have no problem hitting the inside of the bucket in just one or two tries, to which somebody in the filming crew suggested to the director that they might have to use somebody other than the person that was assigned for that job originally, so that they could get the commercial done. To my amazement, the director told them that this fellow was hired by the commercial company for that purpose and that the company knew best, and that they would be there until that poor fellow got the brush into the bucket. Encouraged by the unshaken commitment of his boss as to what his calling was, the young man got the brush in the bucket in the very next take, the cheers from all of us who were there were heard all the way back to Los Angeles. But I learned a spiritual lesson that day that has served me well through the years. When it comes to God’s calling for a person’s life, only God knows the magnitude and the impact that His gift and calling will have in that person’s life, and after all is not how you begin, but the depth of your heart’s commitment to your call that really matters. So that when serving the Lord in ministry, as I recognized the gift and the calling of God upon a person that was serving in whatever ministry it was that I was in charged of at the time, I would immediately set out to help them to develop their gifts no matter how inept or uncomfortable they appeared at first, knowing that someday that person would glorify Jesus in the exercising of their calling. I found out that if I kept getting myself replaced by somebody that was better than me at whatever it was that I was doing, that the body of Jesus was being edified and better served, after all that is what really matters. Ephesians 4:4-7 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” Although each one of us receives personal gifts, these gifts are always for the purpose of enabling and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the One body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13 “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Number Three: Know what the function and emphasis of the five different offices of ministry are, for they embodied the qualities of leadership under which the church is and should be governed. Ephesians 4:11 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” The church represents the physical body of Christ here on the earth, a physical body has five different senses, vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, by which it navigates through life. The five offices of ministry are a spiritual representation of those five senses through which the body of Christ operates here on the earth. In order for us to be more effective in ministry, we need to know under which of those five offices, or combination of these offices, any given ministry into which we are involve with its functioning, for the spiritual emphasis will be different under each one of these five offices. Isaiah 29:10 “For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; and He has covered your heads, namely the seers.” Here we see how the Lord uses that metaphor against Israel. Their eyes represent the spiritual vision that enables their prophets to prophesy God’s Word to the nation, and if you cover the entire head, they are no longer even able to process the Word of God that they already had. The Apostolic and the Prophetic Ministries In our present day the apostles and their apostolic ministry, along with the prophets and their prophetic ministry, represent the foundation upon which the entire church is built. Ephesians 2:20-22 “Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building (the church), being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” If an apostle is one who lays the foundation, and he is, then no other foundation can be laid but that which has already been laid by the founding apostles, and all true prophets will testify to that. 1 Corinthians 3:11 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” The apostolic ministries of today are ministries that start brand new churches in places where no other churches existed before, but if their foundation is not that which has already been laid, then that ministry is not part of the building of God, for it has not been erected on the original foundation which Christ laid when He built His church. The ministry of today’s prophets is not the same as it was for the prophets of Jesus’ days, for through their prophetic ministry God gave to us the books that comprise the New Testament through which the foundation of the church was established, hence: Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets there is nothing new that we can add. However, the prophets of today are the ones that proclaim that which was prophesied by the prophets of old, in both the Old and New Testaments, as being extremely relevant to what is going on in the world of today, they keep God’s yet to be fulfilled promises alive to the present generation. Also, the prophets of today testify against the so-called churches that are not built on the solid foundation of God’s apostolic church but are built on a deviation of what God originally intended His church to be built on. And if you are involved in an apostolic ministry that aims to start new churches where none ever existed before, make sure that they are being built in the apostolic pattern laid out for us in the New Testament, and in you helping them, model your service to them in the same manner that those who helped the apostles build their churches back then did, that is why we have His Word in the New Testament to aid us. The Evangelistic Ministry An evangelist is one who preaches the Gospel for the purpose of making converts. You may ask, how does that differ from one who teaches and by his teaching leads others to the Lord? Or from a pastor who preaches and makes converts through his preaching? Salvation is not limited to any one ministry, for the Holy Spirit convicts' sinners every time the Word of God is proclaimed no matter who proclaims it. But just like the eye may see something and it is confirmed by the ear hearing something, the evangelistic ministry is designed to work hand in hand with the other two. The heart of a true evangelist however is in leading sinners to Christ, he is not as concerned with who is going to disciple the convert, or who is going to teach them spiritual principles, for the evangelist knows that that is the work of the church. 2 Timothy 4:5 “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” The Ministry of the Pastor The ministry of the pastor revolves around the task of keeping the flock together, as his title implies. A pastor’s main concern is that of maintaining the house/church in proper working order. He not only feeds the flock with the Word of God, but he also steers it away from danger. God has appointed the pastors as the overseers of the spiritual heath and well being of the flock. If the enemy, like a wolf, comes against one of the members of his church, that enemy will have to go through that pastor’s authority and watchful eyes in order to get to that member. So that the pastor is not overwhelmed by all his responsibilities, God brings into the church teachers, evangelists, administrators, and divers helps, that means everybody in the congregation, that allows that pastor to focus his energy into keeping his flock safe from spiritual attacks. If a pastor surrounds himself with wise elders that will inform and advise him truthfully about the spiritual condition of the church, what they see from their perspectives, that pastor will have everything that he needs to maintain his people safe, but if he ignores their wise counsel, his people will suffer the consequences. Nothing worse than a pastor that thinks that he knows everything, even David a wise shepherd himself, needed the counsel of the seers that God provided and surrounded him with. A pastor’s ministry is to build others up and not to tear them down, his ministry can be summed up by this verse of Scripture: Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” The Ministry of the Teacher Matthew 13:52 “He said to them, ‘Therefore every teacher of the law (the Word of God) who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.’” NIV Jesus really paints it with this verse as to what the nature and calling of a teacher really is. I once, during a time of fellowship with some very close friends who were asking if we could play some kind of constructive word game, suggested to them that we pretend that we were stranded in a desert island without our Bibles, and told them, let us see how much of John chapter one we can recreate from memory, and after we have exhausted every one of our recollections we will look it up and see how well we did. Well to begin with we could not even remember how many verses were in the whole chapter, can you without looking it up? A teacher of the Word of God may not really be able to literally, from his memory, have the ability to reconstruct all or even parts of the Word of God, but the essence of what that chapter was about was firmly etched in my heart. For that word had become real in my heart, and I went on to preach from it that night without opening a Bible. So that the ministry of a teacher of the Word of God is to store in the storeroom of his heart, the essence of the revelation that the Word of God brings to his enlightenment. To treasure the revelation that the Holy Spirit reveals into his heart to such a point that, they not only remember the revelation, but how it made them feel and the circumstances that brought the revelation about. An anointed teacher can be likened to a spiritual reservoir that can bring to a thirsty church rivers of living waters in the time of drought. 1 Samuel 3:1, 19 “Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation...So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his (God’s) words fall to the ground.” Previous Next Home

  • SPIRITUAL HEALING | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

SPIRITUAL HEALING The objective of this lesson is to explain the necessity of spiritual healing as the foundation for true wholeness in spirit, soul, and body. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that the health of the “spirit-man” determines the vitality of the soul and the body, and only through God’s Word and truth can the believer experience restoration, strength, and freedom from fear and deception. SPIRITUAL HEALING Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this lesson is to explain the necessity of spiritual healing as the foundation for true wholeness in spirit, soul, and body. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that the health of the “spirit-man” determines the vitality of the soul and the body, and only through God’s Word and truth can the believer experience restoration, strength, and freedom from fear and deception. Synopsis: In Spiritual Healing, Pastor Marcos teaches from 1 Thessalonians 5:23, showing that humanity is a three-part being: spirit, soul, and body. He stresses that the spirit-man is the most vital part of a person, for when it is sick or broken, no true healing can come to the mind or body. Even believers, though born again, can experience spiritual weakness under the pressures of a corrupt world system. Through scriptural insights such as Proverbs 18:14 and John 6:63, Pastor Marcos explains that a healthy spirit-man draws strength from the truth of God’s Word and thrives despite physical trials, while a weakened spirit results from lies, fear, and disobedience. He warns that indulging in deception can cause spiritual illness, as seen in Malachi’s and Ezekiel’s warnings to Israel. Spiritual healing begins with the “clean water” of God’s Word (Ezekiel 36:25-27), which renews the heart, removes impurities, and builds up the new man created in Christ. By feeding on truth, renouncing idols, and walking in obedience, the believer’s spirit is strengthened to rejoice in tribulation, cast out fear, and glorify God. Pastor Marcos concludes that spiritual healing is the process of aligning the spirit-man with God’s truth, resulting in a strong, victorious, and renewed life in Christ. Inspired Teaching: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” The human body is made of three distinct parts; spirit, soul, and body. One physical unit with two spiritual components, the most important of the three is the spirit. If the spirit-man, as I call it, is sick or weak, everything else will be affected by it. As a matter of fact, there can be no true healing for the soul (mind) or for the physical body, unless and until the spirit-man becomes born again. But even born-again spirits can falter under the pressures of this worldly corrupt system of which we are part of. Proverbs 18:14 “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit? In other words, if the spirit-man is broken we are in real trouble. In this lesson I want to deal with the functions and conditions of the spirit-man and try to figure, from Scripture, how to bring spiritual healing to those who might be having problems with their spiritual condition. How do we Christians know if we need spiritual healing? 1 Corinthians 6:20 “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” If we are experiencing problems worshiping, or glorifying God, in spite of our circumstances, we probably have a spiritual malady that needs to be remedied. A healthy spirit-man is impervious to physically induced trials, for the spirit-man is not sustained by physical means. John 4:24 “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The spirit-man’s sustenance comes via the truth, Jesus is the Truth, and Jesus said in: John 6:63 “...The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (for the spirit-man).” When a Christian is struggling in his spiritual relationship with God, meaning he/she is having trouble worshiping God in spirit, is due to the lack of truth within the spirit-man. For a healthy spirit-man is not troubled by physical circumstances, but rather, it rejoices in tribulations, and it grows stronger every time it takes on the lies of this world. If a healthy dose of God’s truth can make the spirit-man strong and able to thrive in this corrupt world environment, then the opposite is true as well, a lying spirit, uttering lying words, can make the spirit-man sick if the spirit-man indulges in the lies that its being offered. Malachi 2:15-16 “...Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth...Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.” Twice in consecutive verses God gives a stern warning to the people of Malachi’s days, concerning the condition of their spirit-man, take heed to your spirit, God told them twice. Within the context God is dealing with them about divorce, which God hates, and the truth of the laws concerning the putting away of one’s wife. Because they had perverted God’s laws to their own advantage, that is what dealing treacherously means, God is saying to them, watch out for the well being of your spirit-man for you are in violation of the truth of the Word of God. Ezekiel 21:7 “...Because of the news; when it comes, every heart will melt, all hands will be feeble, every spirit will faint, and all knees will be weak as water. Behold, it is coming and shall be brought to pass…” In the above passage God is telling the people of Israel that because of their abominations, He is going to judge them severely. But I want you to look at the progression of how the spirit-man becomes weak and faint; It begins with these words: because of the news of that which was about to happen to them, fear originated in their hearts and then it manifested itself in the body with their hands becoming feeble and their knees weak. Now let us turn that around, if our spirit-man is weak and feeble because of the fears that we have been entertaining, what happens if we introduce our spirit-man to the good news and precious promises found in the truth of God’s Word. Galatians 4:6-7 “And because you are sons (your spirit-man is born again), God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, ‘Abba, Father!’ Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son (in the spirit-man), and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” We are no longer slaves to fear, fear of the slander of the enemy, for God’s perfect love that has been shed abroad in our hearts casts out all fear. There is no reason for us to fret about our present condition, or about the future, be it our future, our children’s future, our families future, our nation’s future. There will be tribulations that we will face, but they will only make our spirits stronger, for that confirms the Word of God in which we are feeding. A healthy spirit is a strong spirit. Ezekiel 36:25-27 “Then I will sprinkle clean water (the truth of God’s Word) on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit (born-again spirit) within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Spiritual healing begins when we drink into our spirit-man the clean water of the Word of God, renounce the filth and idolatries of this lie-infested world system, and put on the new man, the spirit-man that is created in the image of Jesus. Colossians 3:9-10 “Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old (spirit-man) man with his deeds, and have put on the new (spirit-man) man who is renewed in knowledge (of the Word of God) according to the image of Him who created him.” Previous Next Home

MINGLED WITH THE UNCLEAN Call the church to reject spiritual contamination and syncretistic traditions, embrace its “twice-called-out” identity (ecclesia), realign with the biblical foundation (apostles, prophets, teachers), and enter corporate repentance to close demonic doors, intercede for the land and children, and welcome the Holy Spirit’s guidance and power. < Back MINGLED WITH THE UNCLEAN Pastor Marcos Marrero May 27, 2005 Objective: Call the church to reject spiritual contamination and syncretistic traditions, embrace its “twice-called-out” identity (ecclesia), realign with the biblical foundation (apostles, prophets, teachers), and enter corporate repentance to close demonic doors, intercede for the land and children, and welcome the Holy Spirit’s guidance and power. Synopsis: The message opens with a congregational prayer inviting Jesus’ lordship and freedom, then sets the theme from Psalm 106:34–39: Israel’s failure to purge idolatry led to mingling with the unclean and generational defilement. Applying this to today, the speaker explains that although believers are called out of “Egypt,” God must also remove Egypt from within us—fear, traditions, and compromises that tilt the church’s “wall” off-plumb. Citing Hosea 4:6 and Isaiah 1, the sermon warns that ignorance and inherited ritual can make worship empty and endanger future generations. From Revelation 17–18, it frames “Babylon” as a hidden religious system that spreads confusion and blood-guilt, urging God’s people to “come out of her” by rejecting contaminated practices and idols that gain access to families and communities. The church is exhorted to return to God’s order (1 Cor. 12:28)—apostles confronting strongholds, prophets declaring God’s word, teachers grounding believers—so that miracles and healings can follow. The service culminates in a corporate repentance and renunciation prayer: washing hands in Jesus’ blood, breaking agreements with demonic influences, closing spiritual doors, and submitting anew to the Holy Spirit to walk in purity, authority, and truth. Inspired Teaching: Let us all stand up for a second. Let's just agree in prayer. Okay? Praise God. Want everybody repeat with me. Including the young guys, the young girls, everybody stand up. Repeat with me. Say, I love Jesus. I love Jesus. Because he first loved me. Because he first. Come Lord Jesus now. Come Lord Jesus. And set me free. Set me free. Amen. Amen. Sit down. Praise God. You just gave permission to the Lord to come into your heart and to uh begin the healing and the freedom that that we need. Praise the Lord. Father, we give you thanks right now for ears to hear, Father God, for a heart to understand. I take authority right now, Father God, over every spirit of confusion, over every mind blocking spirit, Father God, over every religious spirit. And father, in the name of Jesus, I declare forth a word according to Ephesians 3:10 to make known to the principalities and power the manifold wisdom of the spirit of the living God. And Father, we declare this place right now to be under the direction of the Holy Spirit as we submit ourselves, Father God, uh with ears to hear and with a heart to understand, to receive what the Holy Spirit will say unto this church tonight, Father God. And we give you glory for binding down, Father God, and arresting every spirit that would come to interfere with the work of the Holy Spirit here tonight. In Jesus name, we give you glory, Lord. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Let's go to Psalm 106 verse 34-39. We're going to be talking about tonight about mingle with mingled with the unclean. And then we're going to be dealing with the uh condition of the church. And as you know, we are the church. We are the believers. And uh you remember that when God brought Israel out of Egypt, even though they were not under Pharaoh's control anymore because the Egyptian army was drowned on the sea, still Egypt was inside of them. When they came to the door of the promised land, they couldn't cross because they still live under fear and under bondage. And it took 40 years of cleansing before a new generation who did not have a slave mentality was able to rise up and come in into the promised land. So the church, the word for church, when you know the Bible says we're the church because we're the temple of the Holy Spirit. The word church in Greek is the word ecclesia. That's where we get the word ecclesiastic or ecclesia and the literal translation mean twice called out. It's important that we understand that the church means you're being twice called out. First you're called out of the world and then you're called into your promises. Just the fact that God calls you out of Egypt doesn't mean that you immediately go into your promises. You have to overcome fear. You have to overcome temptation. You have to overcome tradition. You have to overcome all of the things that are within you. When God gets you out of the world, he has to get the world out of you so you can inherit your promises. So that's what I want to deal with tonight. We want to deal with with what is keeping us, the church, the twice called out from entering into the promises of God. And in Psalm 106 verse 34, it says, "They," speaking about the children of Israel when they were brought into the promised land, "they did not destroy the peoples concerning whom the Lord had commanded them. But they mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works. They served their idols, which became a snare to them. They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. And the land was polluted with blood. Thus they were defiled by their own works and played the harlot by their own deeds. Now that is a very strong uh uh indictment that God gives to the children of Israel. Now how does that apply to us today? Remember Paul said that everything that happened in the Old Testament was written as examples for us. You know we we're playing history repeats itself. It's just like a cycle. Everything keeps playing over. So when they did not destroy the peoples, some people have a problem with God killing men and women and all people and killing children and stuff like that. You have to realize that God is a very merciful and patient God. But God is also all knowing. And when it comes to time that there's no hope for something, God deals with it. And we need to understand that when Abraham came out, God says, "I'm going to send your descendants into Egypt because the sins of the Amorites have not reached their peak yet." Meaning the people that live in the land of Canaan, there was still hope for them. So God would not wipe them out of the land for 400 years so that they would have hope. Now, when the children of Israel are coming into the land, God, a merciful, loving God, gives them a command. The command is, I want you to destroy the old people, the young people, the children, the men, the woman, their cattle. I want you to destroy everything. Now, why would God do that? How can a loving God order such a commandment? Okay, let's say that all of us here are in a boat. Okay? And that brother Rick here has an infectious disease that's going to kill him, but before it kills him, it'll kill everybody else. And we're in a boat and we can't get out. Rod already mot. We love him, brother. We love you. You're we have compassion. But guess what? You know what the definition of agape love is? Herb Wel used to say this all the time. Agape love means doing what is best for everybody involved. The definition of true love is when the actions that you take will do will have the the the most blessing or power for everybody involved. So here we have a nation that is totally and completely polluted with demons. Their men, their women, their children, their animals, their cattle, everything. And God says, "I'm bringing you into a land. And when you come to the land, you have to destroy everything that's living to get rid of all of the demons so that you can't come in." So here they come into the land. Oh well, you know what kind of a God will say, "Let's get rid of the man here that is going to kill the whole." Three generations later, they were all infected with the same demons, with the same pollution because they mingle with the people. They began to learn their traditions. And before they knew it, their children, which were the ones that were to inherit the promised land, were being offered to the same demonic demons that the people of the land were doing. Now, you see what we're saying here now for us today, now that I brought a little clarification to that, what would God say to us today if he would come and speak to his church? They did not destroy the peoples. We don't have people to destroy. What do we have to destroy? Old traditions. You see, let me give you a another vision. See if we can get it. Let's say that God is building a wall. He lays out the foundation and then every generation is a brick. Every generation is a brick and 2,000 years, however many generations, you complete the wall and the wall is supposed to meet the place on top. In other words, everything is completed. Now, Satan is different than us in the sense that Satan's been around a long time. He was in the Garden of Eden. He was there tempting David. He was there tempting Jesus and is here today. So, Satan knows how things work. So, every time God lays the foundation, he knows he cannot destroy the foundation. But he knows that he can mess with man. So, all he has to do is take that first layer of bricks and just tilt it a little where the eye cannot see it, where you cannot perceive it. And guess what? Three more generations come in. Three more bricks. The wall is line. Before you know it, you have a sour line of pizza. It's way over to this side. Okay, this is the condition of the nation of Israel. When Jesus came here, they have their synagogues. Here they have their teachers, their Pharisees, the teachers of the law. And Jesus says, "You guys messed it up. You put more credence in the laws that you guys have made than in the laws of God." So what did God do? He tore the wall down and he laid a foundation. Now Jesus is coming back, my friends. And if our wall is not straight, if our wall is not plump to the to the word of God, guess what? Our wall is going to get knocked down, too. Don't think that God plays papers when God reaches a certain time and if the wall is not straight, he's going to deal with it. Now what we need to do so that we don't go down without wall is we need to find out where the traditions because that's how Satan comes in. I heard on the men's retreat uh uh uh somebody told uh it was like a joke or like a story but it gives a good parable. This family got together and they, you know, every time they had a family gathering, they cook a ham and this ham they cut the end and the end and so they would cook the whole ham and the two ends separate, you know. And so the little kid asked, "Mommy, why do we cut the ham like this?" "Oh, you know, I don't know. Why don't you ask grandma?" So they asked grandma. She says, "Well, I don't know. Great grandma always did it, you know." So they went all the way to great grandma. Why? Well, their oven was too small and so in order to cook the ham, she had to cut the ends and put it in there. But everybody came in and it became a tradition. So every time they had a family gathering, they cut the ends of the ham even though they had a big old oven. But you see, that's how it is. All that Satan has to do is introduce some kind of a tradition that is demonic because you see the mingling. God is a holy God and God does not deal with contamination, you know, and we know that we're contaminated today because if we were not contaminated, we would be doing even greater works that Jesus did because Jesus said, "The works that I do, you will do also an even greater." So if the Holy Spirit is not moving through us, it's because there's got to be contamination. There's a mingling. Okay? And this is what we need to as individuals come in into the place where we say well I don't want to mingle with the people in our case I believe is with the traditions the old traditions and then it says they did not destroy the peoples the old traditions they mingle with and they learned their works a lot of the rituals that we have today are contaminated by demonic rituals we need to understand that a lot of liturgy the way that the church is set up today and and and I'll show you as we progress is got demonic things to it. Said they serve idols which became a snare to them and they even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons. Back in those days they offer their sons and daughters to demons. Today we give them access to our children by the things we bring into our homes. You see, it's the same thing. It's the same thing. Back in those days, they went down to a tree and they went to the statue of Mollik, which was a huge brass thing. He had arms like this, and they would put fire on the bottom. Then they would put oil there, and they threw their babies into the hands of this uh gruesome demonic thing, and they will burn their children. Today, we do it through the television. We put the little television up in there, and they're watching cartoons that are demonic. They're watching Scooby-Doo doing sorcery and they're watching all of this stuff. And so when our church children grow up, they want nothing to do with the Lord because they see hypocrisy. They see powerless religion and stuff like that. And so what we're doing is we are giving access to these demonic things to our children because of contamination because we're failing to see where the demonic things is coming from. So you see, we're no different. It just it it is a different setting. It says, "And they shed innocent blood, the bloods of their sons and daughters, and the land was polluted with blood." How many of our children, the childrens of Wington, have died on the street through violence? How much if we could just put spiritual goggles as if it were and drive around, how much blood has been shed on the street of our children? Many grandmothers who were praying for their children and their grandchildren, their children were there. Many of you have been touched by that. Women who have been raped on our streets, the blood that has been shed, all of the things is in the land. And so because of that, the land becomes polluted, you see. And so what pollution does is it allows the demons to roam. Uh we live right on the harbor. You can have a a shipload of those things come in and they unload in some kind of a thing and the first thing they look is is their blood, innocent blood been shed someplace, you know, like rats. They need trash like cockroaches. They need dark places to hide. They need a place that that makes them welcome. And they have plenty of places to hide over here. Why? Because our religion has been contaminated by tradition. And because of that, we have opened the door to demonic things that gives them access to our children. Then our children's blood is shed on the street and the land becomes defiled and then these demonic creatures roam around. Uh this is what Peter said. Devil roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He needs an open door. He needs shed glo. He needs contamination. Otherwise, he cannot touch you. Otherwise, he cannot come. Not a lot of fun tonight. What we're talking about, is it? This in reality is what the cause and effect of spiritual adultery is all about. Breaking trust with God. Now in Hosea chapter 4 verse 6. Hosea chapter 4 verse 6. I know that you read the first part of this in the past but I want to read a little more uh the complete verse. Hosea 4:6. God says, "My people, not the other people, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." Listen, there's a saying in the world that says, "What you don't know don't hurt you." That's the biggest lie of the world. What you do not know does hurt you. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priests for me. What is the the duty of a priest? A priest is by definition a person who intercedes between God and man, between the spiritual and the physical. We become born again. And Jesus says, "I give you authority and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven." In Revelation chapter 1 says, "And and we were made priests and kings unto him." We are priests. We are the mediator between God and between men. When man is committing sin, those of us who have been born again are the priests who intercede. And like Abraham said, "Father, don't destroy Sodom. Don't destroy Gomorrah. I I can I'm intercede for." And God says, "Okay, show me five righteous. Show me righteous and I will spare the land. Okay, so here God says because you have rejected knowledge because you stick your head in the sand and because you just go along building upon this wall that is tilting way out and you don't pay attention. I'm going to reject you from being my priest. And look what it says after that. And this is what I want you to connect. I will also forget your children. That's hurts, doesn't it? That hurts. You know what that means? God said, you're opening the door. You're opening the door. You're you're refusing knowledge. you know, uh, the Holy Spirit comes, you get saved, he talks to you about certain programs or certain, uh, movies or about certain rituals, uh, uh, things that we do. Well, well, Lord, you know, that's this old time stuff, you know, that's back in there when people were square, you know, uh, we're living in a modern society, you know, we're progressive. We we have an open mind. we just don't lean over too much, the brain will fall out. But we have an open mind, you know, that kind of stuff. And so God said, "Well, you're rejecting knowledge." Guess what? Number one, you're not going to intercede for the land. And if you're not interceding for the land, then you might as well forget about your children. The next generation is going to be twice as contaminated as you are. As a matter of fact, let's go to Isaiah chapter 1, vers 13. We're going to go to verse 13, but I want to see if I can Find this other one that the Lord just brought to my mind. Number five, Isaiah chapter 1 verse5. Let's look at that one again. God is through the prophet Isaiah confronting their their sin just like they're doing in Psalm. And God says, "Why should you be stricken again? You will revolt more and more. The whole head is sick and the whole heart faints from the sole of the foot even to the head. There is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrifying sores. They have not been closed or bound up or soothed with ointment. God says, "Why should I spank you? Why should I correct you? The more that I try to correct you, the more that you revolt against me. The more that I try the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the more that I try to bring the direction of the Holy Spirit to you, the more that you revolt against me." You know what happens when you take children and you say, "Well, I'm that that's it, kids. I'm I'm I'm divorcing you. Just go do your own thing. I want nothing to do with you guys." What happens? That generation is destroyed. They become law lawless. They become a gang. And that's what God is saying there confirming the same thing that we just read in Hosea where it says, "I will forget your children." God is saying to to these people, "Why should I even bother to strike you again or or or to try to correct you again?" He says your head is sick and so because of that your heart faint. He said from the sole of your feet to the head there is no soundness on it. This is talking about the religious system. You have to realize that these people were still offering sacrifices. These people went to church every Saturday. These people went to their service and they brought the sacrifices. As a matter of fact, look at verses 13, 14, and 15. He says, "Bring no more feudal sacrifices." Incense is an abomination to me. You know what? Incense was a type of prayer. Look at Revelation. It says, "The saints were offering incense and it was a prayer that rose up to God." God is saying, "Stop coming to church. Stop coming to church. Stop coming to the synagogue." He says, "You bring your sacrifices to me and I'm tire of it. I'm fed up with them." Man, you we don't want to hear God say that to us. Bring no more feudal sacrifices. You know what feudal feudal mean? Worthless. You know that's the spirit. The spirit of bial. Spirit of bal. The name bile appears in the Bible 17 times. 17 times is the works of the find it in Galatians chapter 5. There are 17 works of the flesh. And you know what's at the center of the 17 works of the flesh? selfc centeredness or selfish ambitions or selfish desire. Uh second Timothy 3 I think he says that in the last days men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. So here we're not talking about bad things in the outside. It's talking about the heart. The heart is contaminated because we have mingled with the people. We have mingled with the custom. We have mingled with the things. And so because of that, God says, "Your incense is an abomination to me. Your prayer I don't hear. The new moon, the Sabbath, the callings of the assembly." That's verse 13. Isaiah chapter one. I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting. I want you to hear this. Iniquity is inherited sin or traditional sin. God says, "I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting." When you come to church with your old tradition, I'm fed up with it. He's telling the people of that day, I'm fed up with you following the same traditions, the same sacrifice when you're contaminated and have mingled with the world. Your iniquity, which is inherited sin, has been handed down from generation to generation, and it's just an offense to me. I cannot hear your prayers anymore. And when you come to me, it's worthless. It's beautiful. And I'm fed up with it. Because you see, God looks at the heart and when he sees us and you know what? This is where the church is heading. Peter says that the judgment of God will begin at home. This is what the church before God judges the world. He'll judge us. He'll purify us. He'll turn on the fire. He'll bring cleansing. He'll set up. And that's what the apostolic anointing that's coming. And we'll close with that. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but God will raise up apostles and prophets that will point out the finger to the church and tell her where this demonic things is at and and and tell them get rid of it. And if you read the letter in in in Revelations 3 when he's talking to the church in Leodysia, he she says, "I'm not a widow. I don't need you. I got money. I got silver. I got all the things." And the Lord says, "I counsel you to buy gold from me." Which symbolizes salvation. that has been tested in the fire because that's how God is going to test us. I heard that other that other thing about this uh three terrorists showed up with machine guns to a Sunday church meeting spray out the ceiling and then they said everybody who's a Christian here we're going to kill you unless you renounce Christ right now. So bunch of people said oh we don't want nothing to do with Christ. So they all left and there was just a few left. And then the guys turned to the pastor and and said, "Okay, we'll have church right now. We'll we'll have church right now. We got rid of the hypocrites. We got the people here that are really willing to die for the faith. We'll have church." They took their terrorist thing. They put their gun down say, "Let's worship God. The Lord might do that someday." You know, oh Lord have mercy. Uh Isaiah 1:14, your new moons and your appointed feast my soul hates. You know what the soul is? That that that's what you fill with, man. That's what you love with. That's where your passion resides. And God says, "My soul hates all of these things. They are a trouble to me. I am weary of bearing them." God says, "I am tired of putting up with it." Verse 15. When you spread out your hands, oh Lord, I love you. I will hide my eyes from you. Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Why? Why? Why? Why would the Lord do that? Why? Your hands are full of blood. Your hands are contaminated. Your hand has been mingled with demonic rituals and things. And because of that, with your hands, you're allowing the land to go to hell because you're contaminated with it instead of confronting it. It's hot up here, too, guys. Believe me, it's hot up here, too. I'm standing on on hot coals right now. The question, how could the how could the hands of the church today be so full with blood? Let's turn to Revelation 17:5. What is the root of our contamination? Where does God point the finger when it comes to us, the church, being contaminated? Well, fortunately, Revelation gives us a heads up of what God will do to this spirit of religion. Revelation 17:5, I'm sure uh it should be on, it's in my Bible, it's in bold letters. And it says, "And on her forehead a name was written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth." Now, mystery means something that is hidden, something that you do not see. Okay? Babylon the great speaks about the original rebellion against the plan of God which was during the Tower of Babel. Babylon means confusion. The reason why they would call the the Europeans called uh the people that came from the north barbarians is because they spoke with a weird language. Babel Babylon uh even the priests of Santas are called Babala meaning they're speaking confusion. So this has always had to do with confusion. So Babylon is where God uh confronted Nimrod. Nimrod led the people into building a tower or a pyramid which you will find that everywhere. As you look at your dollar, it says in God we trust and there's a pyramid. They're not talking about the God of heaven. They're talking about the God of this world, the God of self, the God of wealth, the the God of all of this the things. And then you will see it that this thing has contaminated everything. And it's called the mother of harlots, meaning that every spirit of contamination that has ever entered any believer came through there. That's what a mother means. And of the abominations of all of the earth. Let me read uh I'll I'll read six all the way through nine. I want you to see how heavy the pollution of this spirit is. Revelation 17:6. I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marvel with great amazement. Now, I want you to see that she is full of blood. And we just read in Isaiah where God says, "I do not hear your prayers because your hands are full of what?" Blood. So it's talking about spiritual contamination that has caused great death. Because when we fail to guard the door, when we fail to be priests over the land, when we fail to be priests over the domain that God has given us, what happens is we open the door to demons that come in to steal and to kill and to destroy. And this thing shed blood, the blood of our children, the blood of our brothers, the blood of our sisters. And when this blood contaminates the land, then that blood is in our hands because we have failed. And thank God that there is a remission of sins that we can in Isaiah chapter one, if you read a few verses later, he says, "And though your sins may be as red as scarlet, they will be as white as wool." So there there is deliverance, but it requires knowledge. Uh Proverbs 11:19, it is through knowledge that the just is delivered. So then verse seven, but the angel said to me, "Why do you marvel? I will tell you the mystery of the woman and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the sand horn. The head that you saw was and is, and will ascend out to the bottomless pit, and go to pdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world." Then they see the beast. when they see the beast that was and is not and yet is. And here's verse nine. What I want you to see, this is where the root of the contamination of all of the churches come from. Here is the mind which has wisdom. Meaning you have to have it through revelation. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. This woman is a religious system that originates all the way back to Babylon. Babylon when Nimrod get led a rebellion against God. Nimrod is said that he was a mighty hunter before the Lord. He was a hunter of souls. Nimrod is the one that opened the door. Every demon that is in the earth today came to the door that Nimrod open. That's what the pyramid. That's what the tower was. The tower is something to where you open a spiritual door. You see, demons cannot cross from their second heaven, from the state of darkness. They cannot cross into this earth because man has authority over the earth. So man has to open the door. That is what sacrifices are. When you offer a blood sacrifice to God, you open the door for God to pour out blessings on you. Bible tells us that uh Noah was told to take two of every animal except for the clean animals that were used for sacrifices to take seven. And it says that when Noah came and he offered these clean animals to God that God smelled the sacrifice and because of that God opened the door from heaven and pour out blessing. He blessed no one. He blessed his children. God's blessing can only come when men opens the door. That's what prayer is. Prayer ascends to heaven like incense. God forgive me of all of my sins. And that prayer opens up the door. And then God sends forgiveness. God sends healing. God sends restoration. But in the same way, when you open the door to demonic things, the selfish nature, that's what Cain was. When Cain brought his sacrifice, it wasn't a sacrifice of blood. It was a sacrifice of selfishness. The ground had been cursed. And he brought a fruit of the ground. He brought an offering of something that was cursed. And God will not accept our curse offerings. The only way that we can go to heaven now is through the blood of Jesus. Okay? So then this um woman, this religious system that contaminates everybody sits on seven mountains on which a woman sits. Now I want you to take your hand out and I just um type seven hills on it and then the first page you have there you will see that Rome right now you can go there and the hills are not even distinguishable because Rome Rome is one of the longest continuously inhabited cities have been inhabited probably for the last 4,000 years 5,000 years. uh they even have names for the seals in early Rome. You can see the the seven names uh there and then of later Rome you can see the names where where they were there. So Rome was the world empire of the day when John was writing that. And he says this woman, this religious system which is called mystery of Babylon, it is residing on a city that has seven hills. And as a matter of fact, you you can read it. You can research this in the internet. Back in those days, they didn't have to say you were from Rome. They asked you where are you from the seven hills? And that automatically everybody knew where you were from. You were from Rome. I printed another I printed this one first, the second one on your page. It has the name on red there. And then I printed this one because it had a little bit more information. But there's a tons and tons of uh writings. And these are not religious writing. This is just secular writings, historical writings about Rome being the place where these uh seven hills were. Now why is that you say important to us? Well the third page that you got which should be this one. This is a copy of a page from uh Reverend Alexander Hiselop. This is a man that hund and some years ago uh wrote a book called the two Babylons. And he trace how the Catholic Church is not a religious organization that truly worships Jesus. That everything upon their worship is demonic. It is demonic. It is contaminated. And you have to remember that we the Protestant came out of her. This is what we need to learn. We came out of her. Our church came out of it. Now, what happens is, before I get into that, I don't know if I'll be able to read it. My contacts are all [ __ ] up. It's so hot up here. But what happens is God brought the church. He built it on the foundation of the apostles. As a matter of fact, let's get the scripture there and then we'll we'll deal with this. Go to um Ephesians 2:20. talks about the church having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets. Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. The church was built on the foundation of the prophets and on the foundations of the apostles. Meaning Jesus Christ selected 12 disciples. Then he turned these 12 disciples into apostles. He being the chief cornerstone means trained them for three years. And then these apostles then came in and began to build the churches. Prophets moved through them. They they they taught the word of God. Then they found the churches and they put pastors upon the churches. And then the disciples trained more disciples. And for years and years and years it went even though the church was persecuted for 300 and some years. The church could not be destroyed. It had a solid foundation of nothing but the truth of God. Okay. The devil after 325 years of trying figure he couldn't destroy the church. So he said well if we can destroy it let's join it. And you see this is if you read in the letters, if you see in the letters, one of the letters to Revelation, the uh the sin of Balac uh Balam and Bailo when Balam who was a prophet of God, Bailac wanted to buy him to curse the children of Israel and every time he went to speak a curse over them, blessings came out. And so finally, Balam said, "Hey, I'll teach you how to curse these people, how to get to these people. You just can't speak words against them because God is protecting them. You got to mingle with them. You got to contaminate them. If you read Revelation chapter 2, who taught Balam, who taught uh uh uh Bailac how to contaminate the children of Israel? So this is the process that was put in place. This constant thing guy who was a sun worshipper all the day to the day I claims to be converted as a Christian. He was a Roman emperor. So he says, "Everybody now in my kingdom, the Roman kingdom has to worship Jesus." And so all of these pagan idola Previous Next Home

  • THE LIVING WORD PART 2 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE LIVING WORD PART 2 Equip believers at Signal Hill Christian Center to trust and apply God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:3–4) by: understanding salvation and new life in the Spirit, practicing faith-filled speech and prayer, cultivating patience and surrender through seasons of testing, and embracing humble, servant-hearted discipleship that invites God’s light to heal hidden places. < Back THE LIVING WORD PART 2 Pastor Marcos Marrero August 12, 2007 Objective: Equip believers at Signal Hill Christian Center to trust and apply God’s “exceedingly great and precious promises” (2 Peter 1:3–4) by: understanding salvation and new life in the Spirit, practicing faith-filled speech and prayer, cultivating patience and surrender through seasons of testing, and embracing humble, servant-hearted discipleship that invites God’s light to heal hidden places. Synopsis: The message opens with 2 Peter 1:3–4: through Christ, God has already provided everything for life and godliness, delivered as promises that make us “partakers of the divine nature.” The teacher explains salvation as union with Christ: at repentance we “die” to sin’s judgment and rise into new life; all of Christ’s provisions reside within our reborn spirit in seed form and must mature over time. Because growth requires knowledge and practice, Scripture and spiritual principles become essential (Hos 4:6; Prov). The enemy’s core tactic is always, “Did God really say?” so believers must answer with God’s Word. Using Israel’s wilderness as a pattern, the message shows how God trains His people to rely on His Word above circumstances. Romans 8:32 assures that if the Father gave His Son, He will “freely give us all things.” A central motif is the seed: promises germinate in a prepared heart, watered by the Word, and develop in God’s timing/season. Hebrews 4:12 is unpacked as the Word’s life-giving energy that surgically separates and heals soul and spirit—like Spirit-led “radiation” that targets spiritual disease without destroying what is healthy. John 1:1–5 adds that the Word is both life and light; believers must invite that light—by their words—into dark, wounded places (Rev 3:20; Prov 20:27), overcoming guilt and shame so healing can flow. The message models warfare through prayerful speech: David “gave himself to prayer” under accusation (Ps 109) and cried out until his soul was released from prison (Ps 142). Jesus interceded for Peter before the sifting and still intercedes for us as High Priest. We overcome “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony” (Rev 12:11). Like Caleb, a “different spirit” (faith-filled words) chooses God’s report over fear. Practical response includes three covenant prayers grounded in Scripture: Covenant of Salvation (Rom 10:9–10) — confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection. Covenant of Surrender (2 Tim 2:19–21) — turning from wickedness so Christ is Lord over every area, becoming a vessel useful to the Master. Servant’s Covenant (John 12:26; Ps 143:10) — embracing humble service in God’s will rather than self-directed ministry. The message closes by blessing the congregation and leadership, asking for renewed strength, a fresh wind of the Spirit, and a local revival of the Word that releases healing, holiness, and fruitful ministry to the community. Inspired Teaching: problems from Jesus directly. So Lord Jesus, we ask again that uh what you have for us tonight, what you have for this house, for Sigma Hill Christian Center, what you have for the individuals, Father God, that make your church here in this area, that the Holy Spirit will go directly to you, Lord Jesus, and bring to us what we need tonight. We submit ourselves, Father God. I submit myself to you, Father God, to be now a voice, Father God, for the Holy Spirit to speak what you would want your church to hear. I just pray that you will grant us ears to hear, that you would give us a heart to understand, Father God, and the ability to apply what the Holy Spirit speaks to us tonight. In Jesus name, we agree. Father, we say, "Amen." Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. You can tell I got a little bit too excited this morning. And My voice is kind of wanting. Praise God. That's always good. Anyway, um I'm going to start with the scripture. Second Peter chapter 1:es 3 and 4 is what we finish with this morning. And then uh we read there that according or as his divine power, God through Jesus has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by glory and virtue. Then he tells us what that knowledge brings about. es by which this knowledge have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises that through these promises the knowledge or the understanding of these promises that through this you may be partakers of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. So basically by putting things into context we believe that God has already given to us and and I don't want to get too theological but you know uh I think it's 2 Thessalonians 5 says that your whole spirit your whole soul and your whole body may be kept blameless until the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. But our spirit is what is born again. The minute that we confess that we're sinners. See, the word of God says that the soul that sinnth it shall surely die. So in June 2nd, 1976, without me knowing or understanding all of these things, when I walked up to the altar with my wife and then um I repented of my sins, basically God declared me dead right then and there. I have to die. See, you cannot go to the court of God and say that you're a sinner and live because God's word cannot be revoked. God's word said the soul that sinned to surely die. So when I confess my sin and admitted that I was s a sinner immediately the judgment of God was brought upon me. I was declared God the judgment of God said he's dead. The reason why I didn't die there is because Jesus, you see, Jesus provided my death in the cross. He satisfied the divine uh uh uh requirements of God. Jesus is my substitute. I think Paul writes in Corinthians when he says that he who knew no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. In other words, when I went forward and and and my wife went forward, we died. As far as God is concerned, we die. The life that now I now live, like Paul says, I live by the power of the risen son of God. In other words, God in in my spirit gave me life. He took Jesus's all of my sins that have been placed in on Jesus on the cross. He took his death on the cross as full payment for my sins. And immediately God, that's why it says that we're baptized by one spirit into one body. Baptized means to be put under. Uh it's like taking a drop of water and dropping it on the Pacific Ocean. As soon as that drop goes into the ocean, you can't tell where it's at. It becomes part of the whole ocean. My spirit was baptized into the Holy Spirit. And when that happens immediately, your spirit is alive to God. All of the promises of God are now in me in my spirit in seed form. You see, because uh we need to understand that even though salvation is immediate and and and um uh and your names are immediately written in heaven and there's rejoicing in heaven, the minute that a sinner repents, the manifestation of that salvation in us and through us takes a while. You know, one of the odd things because when I I was saved, I was radically transformed. I I mean, I I use this analogy a lot. It was just like somehow God just took the half of my skull up and he reached in there, took my brain and turn it around and put it back in and then put my skull back. It was like, "Oh, wow. Now things, you know, I begin to understand and see things uh uh from a different perspective. That's what what salvation was to me. It was like I was turned around completely, but everything that was in there was in seed form. I went home and I look in the mirror and I look the same. How that's the same me but I don't feel like me anymore. You see there was a transformation. It it it is called born again. Means your spirit all of a sudden now becomes alive. Your spirit now becomes uh uh into the things of God. It was a hunger for anything that had to do with the word of God because it had been starved all these years separated from God. Now, we need to understand that all of that, all of these great and praiseful promises over here that we were just reading, we have to apply knowledge to it. How do you know that God just doesn't all of a sudden uh uh uh gives you all of the wisdom and all of the understanding and and all of the things? One of the things you find out when you get born again that you still make the same stupid mistakes sometimes over and over again. Except this time now you have a spiritual understanding. This time now you're aware. This time now you say, you know what, this is not working for me. You know, when you're in the world, it didn't matter. This is your life. That's what you went with. But now that you're born again, you have a different perspective, a different understanding of what sin is or what sin does of of of of decisions and stuff like that. So then knowledge becomes something that is very much needed. Like I quoted this morning in Hosea, I think it's 6:4, he says that my people perish for lack of knowledge. And I think it was Proverbs um maybe 9:11, the last part. I don't remember for sure but it says that uh it is through knowledge the last part of the verse that the righteous or the just is delivered. So we need to understand there is a requirement now for us not only to study the word but to begin to put what the Bible calls spiritual principles to work. And the reason why I I I um harp so much this morning in the principle of the power of words is because that is the foundation. You see the foundation is everything that is going to be challenging you like uh uh the very first words of Satan Quarter on the Bible. Did God really say? Every challenge that you're going to have whether is sicknesses, whether it's family problems, whether it's business or work related, whatever challenge you have in your life has one root cause and that is Satan challenging the veracity of the word of God or of the promises of God to you. You see, it's going to come to this to where you're going to be faced and having to make a decision. Did God really say? Because that's what Satan is challenging. He's not, you know, God is a God of the person. That's why I love him so much. God can be so awesome and so great. But God is into people. God never invest in big buildings or big program. God, everything that God does has an individual at the center of it. Which is the reason why so many churches fail today. They can build great things, but the individual's needs are not met. God is into people. If you can come face to face to God, you will find out that God is into people. One person to God is a lot more important than a million. There can be a thousand people here tonight and there be one person there with a great need. And God's eyes focus on that person. He said, "That's the sheep that's lost. That's the one that I need to get. That's the one that and that's what God is." But Satan is not like that. Satan is like communism. Everything is is for the the system his system of of destruction. So he will always come to you to the point of of your knee and challenge the veracity of the word of God or of the promises of God in your life. Guess what? And God for the purpose of training us in in in the ways of faith because without faith it is impossible to please God. We are going to be faced with challenges that we're not going to pass until we cross that line and we make the decision and dare to believe what God says in spite of all of the circumstances. Abraham had to do that. Moses had to do that. Every person of faith that you read about in the Bible had to do that. As a matter of fact, in Hebrews 11 talks about some of them never received the promises while they were here. The Bible said they were not the world was not good enough for them. So we need to understand that that is going to be the challenge. Uh God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, Previous Next Home

  • The Shadow of Evil | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

The Shadow of Evil To reveal the biblical mystery of evil—its origin, purpose, and end—within God’s plan of grace, showing how Christ’s redemptive work assures believers of victory over darkness. The Shadow of Evil Pastor Marcos Marrero October 9, 2023 The Shadow of Evil Objective: To reveal the biblical mystery of evil—its origin, purpose, and end—within God’s plan of grace, showing how Christ’s redemptive work assures believers of victory over darkness. Synopsis: In The Shadow of Evil, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores one of Scripture’s deepest mysteries—the origin, nature, and ultimate defeat of evil. Drawing from both Old and New Testament passages, he presents evil as a shadow: the antitype and opposite of God’s goodness. From the rebellion of Lucifer, through the curse of the law, to the rise of the Antichrist, Pastor Marcos traces how this shadow has taken form in creation and history. The book explains God’s redemptive purpose in allowing evil to manifest so that it could be fully exposed, judged, and defeated through Jesus Christ. Pastor Marcos shows how humanity, created in God’s image, plays a central role in this cosmic struggle. He emphasizes Christ’s atoning sacrifice as the antidote to sin and death, a victory that will culminate in the binding of Satan, the thousand-year reign of Christ, and the eternal glory of the New Jerusalem. Rich with biblical references and prophetic insight, The Shadow of Evil is both a theological study and a call to recognize God’s purpose and grace revealed “before time began.” It assures readers that while the shadow of evil is real, its days are numbered, and God’s eternal light will triumph forever. Sample first pages of the Book/Manual: Introduction: 2 Timothy 1:9 "Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." (Bold and italicized added for emphasis) Before time began means that before God created our universe, He not only had a purpose for creating it—which had been hidden from us—but within that purpose was also intricately hidden the mystery of grace, and both were destined to be revealed to us in Christ Jesus. Romans 16:25 "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret (hidden) since the world began." (Words in parenthesis and italicized are added by me unless otherwise noted.) I believe this mystery to be the revelation of the purpose behind the creation which is two-fold, God's purpose and grace. Now we who presently know God's mercy and have tasted of the sweet nectar of God's grace toward us, in the salvation that we now enjoy in Jesus, have also been given the privilege to know the hidden purpose behind the creation in which we now exist. Romans 11:33 "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God (God's purpose and grace)! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" It is with confidence in the abilities given to us by the Holy Spirit through the power of His grace that works within us that we now endeavor in searching out what God's real purpose was behind the creation of our universe, and how grace was the bulwark that sustained that purpose. Daniel 2:22 "He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him." I believe the key that unravels the mystery behind the purpose for creation lies in understanding the meaning of darkness and its interaction with light. We could also call it the struggle between good and evil. In either case, the true revelation of the mystery behind God’s creation can only bring glory to God and to Jesus Christ, who is the manifestation of God's grace, through whom also the abilities to reveal such secrets is given to us. Daniel 2:47 "…'Truly your God is the God of gods, the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, since you could reveal this secret.'" Chapter One: The Shadow Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." So many things within our physical realm serve as types of spiritual truths: Water Baptism, Holy Communion, and Holy Matrimony, which must be between a man and a woman in order to preserve its significance, all serve as symbols of great spiritual truths. I believe shadows to be a great metaphor—if not the greatest—for explaining the purpose behind the creation of our universe. For it is only within the physical and visible parts of our universe that shadows are cast, since without a physical figure exposed to the light in three-dimensional space the shadows cannot reveal their silhouettes. 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we do not look at the things which are seen (the things that cast shadows), but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary but the things which are not seen are eternal (there will be no shadows in the future eternity, for our eternal physical bodies will have flesh and bones animated by pure energy)." Since Paul admonishes us, regarding the interactions between the physical and the spiritual, to put our emphasis on those things which are spiritual—the things which cast no shadows—then let us ask this question: What spiritual type does a shadow represents? Within our natural understanding, our shadow is but a silhouette of our physique; from the general perspective a shadow/shade can be a shelter from the hot bright sun, or as in the Psalm above metaphorically speaking, a shadow can be seen as a covering of protection that God Himself provides for those who dwell in the secret place revealed to us in God's amazing grace! But there is a greater mystery revealed to us in Psalm 91 if we look closely; God is Spirit, and spirits cannot cast shadows for they are in essence energy—energy manifests itself as light which casts no shadows—so we must interpret the phrase, the shadow of the Almighty metaphorically of course. But just like the Light of God casts a good metaphorical shadow of protection, a shadow can also be interpreted as an opposite or a negative of what the real thing embodies. It is the same with God's goodness, which casts a metaphorical shadow which represents the opposite or a negative of the reality it mimics. You see, God is God, but He is also Good—as a matter of fact, the only One who is Good—that means that in the presence of Good, the opposite of Good—Evil—has to exist as a contrast, like a lurking shadow which has no entity; and since we know that the antitype of Good is Evil, the shadow represents the opposite of all that is Good, which is what Evil is: a shadow or opposite of God's goodness. Mark 10:18 "So Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.'" After being called "Good Teacher" by someone who was seeking salvation, Jesus makes the point to the seeker that if he is going to call Him Good, he is calling Him God also, since only God is good. Jesus seems to be going out of His way to make this point to us. Why is the fact that only God is Good so important? In order to know the importance of this question, we must ask another question first; Does Evil exist only here, part of our present creation, or did Evil exist before God created the universe, way back in infinity time or the time before time began? We can establish by reading the Scriptures that Evil took on essence when iniquity was found in Lucifer whose name means light bearer, who up to that moment was good and perfect; since he had been created in the image of God, like the rest of the angels and archangels. But we know that his nature was changed immediately from light-bearer to devil after he rebelled and was instantly removed from the Kingdom of the Heavenly Lights. Devil means the personal supreme spirit of evil. He also became Satan which means adversary or opposite; that means that Lucifer became Satan, the shadow or opposite of all that is Good, which is God. But the very fact is that Evil had to exist in some type, without essence of course, before the fall of Lucifer for Lucifer to be able to turn to it and become the essence of it. That brings us to what I call The Shadow of Evil. Way back in infinity time—before the creation took place—God, who is Good and has always been Good and is the only Good; outside of God, Evil had to exist but only in principle, due to the fact that the very goodness of God, which is the essence of God Himself, necessitated the existence of Evil, outside of God, to exist in principle; in order to affirm that goodness is Good and that Evil is bad, by the presence of the antitype—the shadow—which represented the very existence of Evil itself, yet without essence or form. God is infinite and He dwells in an infinity which is and will always remain undefiled, even by the mere presence of Evil. So that Evil could only exist as a metaphorical shadow that was cast by the Light of God's goodness, but existed only in principle, without essence or form. In other words, how can only God be Good if there is no antitype or contrast to His goodness? How can we be called physical humans if we do not cast shadows when exposed to the light? Angels are made of light/energy, they do not cast shadows. How can God be the only Good if there is no opposite or antitype to His goodness that defines what goodness is not? This brings us to the first part of His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. What was God's real purpose for the creation of our universe? Following the premise that I've just laid out, and employing our knowledge of God's character and virtue, it would have been impossible for God to create creatures that embodied the goodness and sovereignty of God in infinity time, without risking the corruption of infinity time itself. Here is what I mean, let's say that God creates the same angels that He created when He created our universe, but let us place them in infinity time before God created our universe. Since Evil had no essence back then, none of the angels could have known what Evil was. They would only have knowledge of the goodness of God, but since God created them after His own image which includes God’s sovereignty, at some point in time, one or some of these good angels might venture to test the boundaries of their existence and come to the flawed conclusion that there is goodness everywhere, believing therefore that they could be good without God. That flawed thinking is what brought Lucifer down, and the many that followed him. Isaiah 14:12-15 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: 'I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars (the angelic class that God created) of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the pit." No one can be like God on their own for only God is Good; that means that anyone outside of God and without God becomes the opposite of what God is. The shadow which represented the fullness and sum of all that is called Evil, in an instant indwelled Lucifer, the entity who dared to claim to be like God, and by so doing became the host of Evil and the antitype of all that God is. SPIRITUAL WARFARE The objective of this teaching is to equip believers with biblical understanding and practical guidance for engaging in spiritual warfare. By exploring the unseen spiritual realm, identifying entities and influences described in Scripture, and applying the authority of Christ through prayer, confession, and faith, the message encourages Christians to take back what the enemy has stolen, walk in victory, and labor for the harvest. < Back SPIRITUAL WARFARE Minister Lisa Kane February 12, 2023 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to equip believers with biblical understanding and practical guidance for engaging in spiritual warfare. By exploring the unseen spiritual realm, identifying entities and influences described in Scripture, and applying the authority of Christ through prayer, confession, and faith, the message encourages Christians to take back what the enemy has stolen, walk in victory, and labor for the harvest. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane of House of Faith Ministries teaches on the reality of spiritual warfare as described in Ephesians 6:12. Believers are reminded that the battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness. The lesson stresses the importance of dwelling in the “secret place of the Most High” (Psalm 91:1), where personal communion with God empowers Christians to fight and overcome. Lisa outlines the different entities found in Scripture—including angels, demons, cherubim, seraphim, watchers, princes over nations, and spirits such as wisdom, knowledge, and fear—showing how they influence the natural and spiritual world. She emphasizes the authority believers carry in Christ, teaching that words of confession and prayer can bind the strong man, silence curses, and release blessings. The message highlights principles of binding and loosing, the power of spoken words, and the responsibility of the church to cover regions in prayer and intercession. Practical examples and personal testimonies illustrate how spiritual warfare affects daily life, from battling depression to praying for rain in drought-stricken California. Ultimately, the teaching calls believers to wage the good fight of faith, to reclaim what has been stolen—joy, health, peace, finances, and freedom—and to labor together as the body of Christ to bring in the harvest. Through persistent prayer, faith-filled confession, and reliance on the Holy Spirit, Christians are equipped to walk in victory and advance God’s kingdom despite the battles waged in unseen realms. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, February 11th, 2023. And this message is called Spiritual Warfare. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we ask for our ears to be open, our eyes to be open so we can hear and see the spiritual dynamics of your word, the living word of God that we may walk it, apply it to our lives. Let it be a part of our spirit and our soul and our body. Thank you, Father God, for your living word. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture. Here we are looking at of course Ephesians 6:12. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Now, as you can see, I am recording this a week early. We're traveling next week, so I want to get this message up. So, we'll be open uh posting it with Super Bowl Sunday tomorrow. Um we're going tonight to the uh mission church uh Rosa deseron in downtown LA and so we're going to have a youth message up and running for you as well tomorrow. So that is all the announcements here at House of Faith Ministries. But we are glad you can join us today. I hope that you truly apply this word and if I could just simply remind you of this because this is very important. You need this in order to deal with spiritual warfare. Okay. Psalm 91:1, "He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty." This is very important if you want to be in spiritual warfare and take back what is rightfully yours because a thief has stolen it from you. You know, he's stolen your joy, your happiness, your freedom, your finances, your health. You want all that back, you got to go get it and you got to fight for it. So, I'm going to show you how to do all that today in this message. And I want to remind you though that you need to be in the secret place with the Lord. And the secret place is not church. Everyone in church can see you. So that's not secret. So you want to get into the secret place with the Lord in your home or in your car, wherever it is where it's just you and God. And a reminder, you're going to be dealing with entities. I'm going to talk about that. I'm going to identify them all or most of them. And you're going to be dealing with that as you try to go in there. You know, uh, Pastor David just spoke, uh, Thursday night at Bundy Canyon Church here in, um, Wdemar and we were watching online. First thing he says is, "Wow, look at I don't get text messages all day. And the moment I'm going to preach here, I get text message." The moment you press into the Lord, you're going to have all those interruptions. So, just remember that. You've got to shut everything down. You've got to make it a priority. You have to fight for it. So, get into the presence of the Lord, the secret place of the Lord. Okay? that is between you and God. So he can talk to you and you can talk to him. And a little tip if I may give you a bit of advice that I learned many years ago because this is very very helpful. When I would read a scripture and there was something I didn't understand, I wrote the question down that I had in a book, a journal, and I dated it. And then as a few days would go by, because it always took about three days, I always got my answer. That is a relationship with the Lord and you need that. You're going to need that to deal with spiritual warfare. Okay? If you're not a believer in Christ and you're watching this message, you may not understand it. You may even mock it and call it hypocritical. Well, you know, that's your opinion. I suggest you don't watch and I suggest you do repent and then watch and watch how your mind opens up about this. Amen. All right. So, let's go back to that beginning scripture because that's very important here. Therefore, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, uh against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. So, we're going to describe some of the heavenly realm here. I want to show you this because I really truly believe you are going to be in for a world of surprise here. And there's a lot of revelation here as well. You know, as we get closer to the end times, knowledge is growing. And that is because of the Holy Spirit. And that is and he's teaching those that are dwelling in that secret place this revelatory knowledge. Okay. Now, you know, I've heard little comments just to also lay more foundation here about, well, why doesn't God just deal with the devil? and and there and I want to also deal with the concept that a lot of people believe that the devil has a lot of power and a lot of authority. So, I want to address that real quick here. There's a scripture in Isaiah 45 and I'm going to show it to you here in just a moment if you want to open your Bibles to it. Isaiah 45 is talking God is talking to a guy named King Cyrus through the prophet Isaiah. King Cyrus didn't exist for 400 years. So this prophecy is written 400 years in advance. But God is saying something very very important here. And I want you to see this in Isaiah 45:7. I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. I the Lord do all these things. Now you know this should change your concept of God. Let's say God versus Satan. There is no God versus Satan. Satan's a tool of God. So Satan's going to have to do what God told him to do. So, think of it like this. When you're dealing with spiritual matters or you're dealing with, let's say, depression or you're feeling convicted about something, you haven't done anything. Let's let's go there and do an example. Let's talk about homosexuality. You have no you can't understand why God says it's a sin. And you're a believer in Christ, but you're struggling with this. So, you know, when God says it's a sin, you you need to be acknowledging that, but you're like, "No, no, these people, they need love. Love is love." And you're feeling convicted, but at the same time, you're rejecting it. So, God will send chastisement to you. Your blessing goes away. You're cur you're under now a curse because it is against the word of God and you're just struggling with this. But you are standing firm and you're holding strong to your conviction because you're saying, "No, no, no. I'm right. You're wrong." You might not be saying it verbally or really kind of thinking it, but that's what your spirit is doing because you're fighting God. Well, eventually God's going to send the devil after you. Why? Because he's trying to get your attention. He's trying to get you to understand. Now, if you're a believer in Christ and all hell breaks loose, that's the devil coming after you. You one have the authority to tell the devil to get below your feet. So, make sure that you do that because the devil runs. The moment you say that he has to run, he's actually lower than the animals. You can go read scripture in gener Genesis about that. So, when you do that, then you go to God and you say, you know what, Lord, I am sorry. Help me understand this. And he says in Isaiah chapter 1, come let us reason together. So he will show you why it's a sin. And if you want to know right now, he says to the whole earth, be fruitful and multiply. And homosexuality cannot do that. Imagine if everyone turned gay, this world would die in a generation or two. That's just the reality of it. So he says it's a sin. And whether you knew a reason or not, you should be honoring the fact that he said it's a sin. You see? So this is how the Lord works. Now, I want to show you some spiritual aspects, entities that exist that we know of from scripture. We don't know all of them, believe you and me. In fact, um, we probably don't even know an eighth of the creatures that God has made in the heavenly realm. Okay? So, I want you to understand this. So, what we know of right now, we know there are angels and demons. I'm not going to show you scriptures on demons. Enough scripture on that you can go read about that. But here uh here's an example of a scripture talking about angels. Luke 1:13. But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zachcharias, for your prayer is heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bury you a son, and you shall call his name John." Angels have been communicating with people for centuries. The term angel simply means messenger. And so it really doesn't describe anything other than the fact that he's from another dimension, the heavenly realm. Uh, I bring that on because I, you know, I just want you to understand there are angels, there are demons, okay? That that that's the basic entities. There's people that don't believe it. And that's fine if you don't believe it. You're going to see how much you actually do believe when you get to the end of this message. Watch this. So, let's look at other entities that exist. I I need to lay this foundation for you because I need you to understand. So, once you see all the players here, and I may not even grab all the players. I'm just grabbing some of them. You're going to see how they all work together or against you. You're going to see this waring. And this is why we're talking about spiritual warfare. You have to know this. Okay. Look at here. There are cherubim. So in Ezekiel 10:5, "And the sound of the wings of the cherubim was heard even in the outer court like the voice of Almighty God when he speaks." Now, I'm not describing what these creatures are and I'm not telling you exactly what they do or anything like that. I'm just telling you they exist. Okay? So that's cherubim that exists. We know that from scripture. Ezekiel. Now look at this. We know seraraphim exists. Isaiah 6:2. Above it stood saraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. And with two he flew. Uh see no evil here. I'm just kidding. But you can see saraphim exists. Again I don't know what that is but they exist. Then there's also an entity called watcher. And this is scriptural. There's uh Daniel 4:3-1 17 says, "I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven." Then jump down to verse 17. This decision is by the decree of the watchers and the sentence of the word of the holy ones in order that the living may know that the most high rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever he will, and sets it over the lowest of men. Now, again, I don't know the role of watcher, but you can kind of get an idea that they kind of set up some of the rules and stuff here. You can also go look at um Genesis on watchers. There were 200 fallen watchers. They um mated with women and created giants in the earth. Uh the Nephilim, if you will. So, you can go check that if you're check that out if you're interested just to know more. Then there are entities called princes. This one's interesting. Look at this. Daniel 9:25. Know therefore and understand that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the prince there shall be 7 weeks and 62 weeks the street shall be built again and the wall even in troublesome times. Messiah the prince. We need to remember that because we're going to be talking about that. Let's continue in Daniel to see more about princes because you're going to see how this applies here. Daniel 10:13, "But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withtood me 21 days, and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia." So chief, one of the chief princes, there's a lot of princes. So, uh, let's continue on. Let's look at more scripture about this. Daniel 10, this is verse 20 to 21. Then he said, "Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia. And when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is noted in the scripture of truth. No one upholds me against these except Michael, your prince." That's an interesting scripture. You can really get a lot out of that. Uh so you can understand their princes. Uh prince of America, if you will. You saw prince of Greece, uh, prince of Persia, prince of Rome, prince of Babylon, prince of Ukraine, prince of Russia, prince of Japan. So there's always a prince exist over a country and over that entity, a large one anyways, and now they move as a group. Prince of Israel. Um, so you can see how that works. But there's more. There are also what I like to call influencers, but there are other spirits here. Watch how these guys work. Isaiah 11:2, "The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord." So now there are spirits like wisdom, knowledge, understanding, counsel. So these I like to call them influencers because they're going to influence you. which means there's spirit of anger, spirit of hate, spirit of depression. You're starting to get an idea now of what this heavenly realm is about. And I wanted you to see that so that you understand what you're dealing with. So, let's let's break it down a little bit here. So, you're take a look at the room you're in. Now, you're you're human. You're you're flesh and blood like I am. And you can look and you see your walls or your window. Um, you see your ceiling, your floor, uh, but you know, maybe you're in a room with other people, you see other people, but you don't know what else is in there with you and see the Holy Spirit, you can't see him, but you know that he exists because you can feel the anointing when he exists. Hallelujah. Because it makes a change in you, believe you me. And when you spend time in the secret place of the Lord that I talked about, you'll hear his voice and he will talk to you. you will know what he's saying, where to go, how he draws you in. It's absolutely incredible. You're going to love that. Then you have um you know the prince of a country that's over that area. Think of a church. That church has a prince over it. Okay, so let me explain how this works. Messiah, the prince. So Jesus Christ is the flesh and blood, the the man who came to the earth. He he was born a male child. He grew up. He took the prince of Messiah and he he so Jesus the flesh and the man in the heaven in the earthly realm became the Messiah prince in the heavenly realm. And the two are symbiotic and they work together. You're going to see scripture on this in just a minute. So now the question comes into play because when you start seeing these entities that are around you, who's the strong man influencing that? So we have what's called the prince of America who is our president right now. Whatever his beliefs are is what our prince of America represents in the heavenly. Did you catch that? Now he We saw when Trump became president, a lot of people stating that he's not my president. And um it that punches holes in the spirit realm, by the way. And it takes your covering and breaks it off as soon as you don't as soon as you say that. So, you know, they said that about Trump. You've got other people now saying this about Biden. You have to be very careful with that because we need to keep our covering over America intact. Just because we disagree with what he represents, which we know that some of it is abortion and this is all against biblical. We the Bible, we understand that. But what our duty is is to one, let's not tear the covering down of America. Meaning, let's not speak words like he's not my president because it's going to tear the covering apart from the inside. By the way, what you have to do is now go into the spirit in your secret place and you need to be praying for America's covering and America's leadership and you need to be going to war. This is what you do now. Now, you you're going to find that other people are doing the same thing. Uh see uh Satan worshippers do it. witchcraft people, uh, uh, warlocks and stuff, they're doing this stuff and they do it actively because they're seeing results, which they shouldn't be seeing results if Christians are doing what they're supposed to be doing. You need to hear that, okay? You need to hear that. Now, I want to show you how all this works, how you deal with this, because it comes down to the words of your mouth. You're going to find that your words have been impacting America, impacting your church, impacting your work, your home life. Let's go to my absolute favorite scripture, the Bible that I think I put in at least 98% of my messages here. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth pause the moment you speak with your mouth things happen and this is not only for salvation the scripture but look at this says confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead you will be saved saved means deliverance so taken out of a situation or that also deals with let's say you're you're angry about something and it's been getting you more and more angry you're just building up. You can actually come against that and say, "You know what, Lord? I don't want to be angry anymore. I need to let this go and I need your help." And you see, the moment you speak that, deliverance takes place. And and things in the heavenly start to move that shake that and that entity has to let you go. Then you need to fulfill that place that void in your heart with fruits of the Holy Spirit, gifts of the Holy Spirit. You can ask for joy, love, peace because now you want your spirit to your cup to fill up and that just pours out of you, that love instead of that anger and that hate. So you can see I'm talking about deliverance here as well. So this so I'm going to teach you how to go back and take what was stolen from you. You know your your joy was stolen from you. Your finances, your health, your peace of mind, your sleep, just even your sleep at night was stolen from you. These are things that you can take back and and you know you could pray for things over like over your neighborhood. You know it's as soon as you start I just taught on this about the the confession of the mouth. I did two messages on this. This is how important it is. But you can go and start praying blessings over your neighbors because I'm gonna tell you right now, when they're prosperous, they don't want to steal from you. You see how it blesses you in the long run. What revelation, just simple revelation for that. You know, it's absolutely incredible. But in order for you to take back, you have to deal with the strong man. And Jesus did that. Now, let's go look at scripture on this because I want you to understand what we're dealing with. Now, what the scripture I'm going to show you is dealing with the the church in context. So, what's more important right now is pulling in the harvest. So, if you want to take back your city, let's say uh you live in Las Vegas, what's the spirit that the prince of Las Vegas, what is he influenced by? Money and gambling. So, now you know what that prince is. Well, now you can go in the spirit realm and deal with that because you have to bind the strong man because you can't go into his house if he's awake and alert. He's going to stop you from doing whatever it is you're trying to take back. Let's say you lost $100,000 in gambling and you want to get it back. It was a poor decision. You need to spend more time with wisdom and but you can see you can take it back. It is rightfully yours. But you have to disable the strong man first. Let's go to scriptures. Look at that. We're going to look at Matthew 12:29 first. Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he first binds the strong man and then he will plunder his house? Mark 3:27 says the same thing. No one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he first binds a strong man and then he will plunder his house. And then look at what Luke 11:21-22 says. When a strong man fully armed guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoils. Now, who's the strongest man of them all? Wow, that's a very interesting question, Lisa. Would that be Jesus? You know, when Jesus was baptized, the very first thing he did is he went into the wilderness for 40 days and he fasted and he dealt with the strong man of the land, which was Satan. He dealt with them. He bound him up so tight that it when he would walk into a town, he would walk into a city, their eyes and ears were uncovered because he dealt with their sight and their hearing. that because now they can see and they can hear. People were getting saved, people were getting delivered, casting out demons, people were being healed. Uh people could see their their blindness would go away. The woman with the issue of of blood for 12 years. I mean, here now she had already spent all of her money on doctors. She had been looking for her healing. And here she finally hears of a man who's healing people. And so she thinks of it in her heart like if I could just touch his garment, you know, but because Jesus had dealt with the strong man first, she can now hear and her own understanding because she's a thinker. She's been looking. She had been seeking. But there were blinders where she couldn't find the truth until Jesus came. But because he bound the strong man, she can see the truth now. And that gave her the chance to go get her healing. And she got it. All she did was go and touch his garment and she was healed. And he acknowledged that it was her faith that did it. This is the power of dealing with your strong man. Now, there are scriptures that also deal with this and how you can say these words. Look at this in in Isaiah 40 54:17. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Look at this. And every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. And their righteousness is from me, says the Lord. Look at that. So no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Cannot It won't be fruitful. Let's say you you're a rape victim. You have the right to take back your sanity, your peace, your comfort, your joy, your trust because that entity, that evil thing that attacked you cannot be fruitful. And then look at this. Any words that come against you, every tongue which rises against you, you shall condemn. Do you see this theme here? Do you notice in the beginning of this message I said you need to get into the secret place with the Lord. You are going to be entering in and dealing with these spiritual entities because this is what Jesus has been training you to do. So this is how you're going to get back what the enemy has stolen from you. And then you can see what you can stop. So like if the enemy is coming against you, you're at your workplace and all of a sudden I mean accusations are coming all over and you're innocent, you know it. And you're just sitting there going, "All right, Lord." And you say you say to all the entities that are around you, you simply say, "You will not be fruitful. You will not prosper. I bind you in the name of Jesus." Because now you're stopping the strong man because you're the stronger man because you're spending time in the secret place with the Lord. So what did Jesus say? When you see Jesus, you know his father. Well, when you see Lisa, you know Jesus. Do you see how this is? So when you get into the secret place and you are imitating Christ, you are learning of Christ. You are learning how Christ ministered, now you can go get the harvest. And now you can keep the enemy from prospering against you. You get to do this. This is your responsibility. You should be doing it. You got to understand that this is you dealing with the spiritual entities that are waring around you. So yes, you have this prince over America that he's influenced because now by the laws and the rules and the principalities that exist, the door is open for evil to rule there in America because of what our leadership believes. He has the right to believe that by the way. Now that doesn't mean you have to take that on and support it. No. In fact, it is your responsibility to say no. And that when you don't support it and you come into the secret place, you're not sending out accusations. You're not speaking words against America. You're not defiling America. You're not cursing America. You bless your land and your area because you say, "Lord, here's your scripture. You say that that that's a sin. I agree with you. I and I'm not supporting abortion. I am not supporting homosexuality. I'm standing in your word. And when you do that, your area is covered. So now, like in my area, I live in California, Southern California. What was one of the things that we dealt with was drought. Drought, by the way, is spiritually represented in the scripture as you're not spending time with God. And California has gone there. And you can see some of the woke thoughts that are coming out of this region. However, I said, Lord, I don't have to live in this drought. I could have got up and move and I'm still contemplating it. Still looking. We're traveling next week to go look at things. But I'm going to tell you here and right now that I said, "No, I don't have to live in drought. I'm gonna pray for rain." And so now during this process, so I start praying for it. It's like a year and a half now, two years ago. I start praying for rain. I'm like, "Okay, Lord, let's bring the rain. I thank you for the rain." And I'm just asking for more rain, asking and asking, asking. We we had a pretty good fall this past fall in autumn. We had a lot more rain than normal. But I'm watching these news articles of these naysayers coming in saying, "Oh, we're still in a drought." And I went to God and I and God appreciates this. I went to him and I said, "Shut their mouths, Lord, because what I'm trying to bless, they're trying to curse and I don't want to be waring with them anymore." So, I went to God and I said, "Shut their mouth." And then what happened? We end up with what, eight atmospheric rivers that hit California, Northern California. We have rain for days and the drought level is nearly gone. We, you know, there's still a little bit. I'm still praying for rain. We We got to fill up all of our lakes that were gone. But see, I have the right to do that because I know where I stand in the scripture because I spend time in the secret place with the Lord. This is your right, too. You have the right to do all this. Look and and see, you got to deal with that strong man. You got to bind him. Look at the scripture on this. Watch again. This has to deal with you're seeing in context with the church and the the representation of the church, the entity of the church. Whatever church that you're at has that entity. So Jesus beca, he was the man, but he took on Messiah Prince and he was a prince. That's he's a prince. So he operated both in the physical and the spiritual and he teaches that us. I'm going to show you that scripture here. So now you may not be as strong as Jesus, but you have Jesus on your side. You and Jesus now under his covering, his friendship. You get to come up under it with him. And the two of you get to operate in that. And you can. So when I went to the Lord and I said, "Shut their mouths." Look at the scripture. Watch this. This is exactly what I did. This is Matthew 16:17-19. Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjon John, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church." You see, this is the responsibility of the church to be doing this. Are you listening, church pastors? Listen very carefully. Watch this. And the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Verse 19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. You ever feel a tickle in your throat and you say, "Oh, I think I'm coming down with something." Guess what? You open the door. Come on in, sickness. That's what you did. Watch your tongue. Watch what you say. Let's look at it from um by the way these scriptures are only found in Matthew about binding things and look at this in Matthew 18 because now we're dealing with it from I now the perspective of a person coming uh that's hurting the church that's hurting like I went to the father about these naysayers I I don't know these people who are writing these articles about droughts but that's what they believe in. There's nothing I can do. I can't go fly up there. I probably could have and and try to convince them that you're wrong. We can do this together, but because they're not believers in Christ, there's nothing I can do about it until the Lord brings them in. So watch how now you can deal cuz see when the church is trying to get together to go take a city and start evangelizing and to take back the harvest they are going to be dealing with the individuals in the church that are going to curse it or no that's not my thing that's not my calling but see that's the covering you're under if you're attending that church listen to this very carefully now in Matthew 18 we're going to read verses 15 through 20 moreover if your brother sins against you that's somebody coming against what the pastor, the leadership is calling for that prince in the heavenly realm to be the strong man of that region. You see, the church is here. He's got a a prince. Now, that prince can be strong if that headship of the church, which is the pastor and the elders, they need to be in the secret place with the Lord. They need to get together as well and they need to say, "I'm taking back my city." which means I'm coming against drugs, alcohol, vandalism, robberies, uh theft. Yeah, you name it. You got crimeridden areas in your city. Well, the church can take that back and bring in the people. What you have to do is you have to get in there and say the words, open their eyes to see, open their ears to see, hear, watch. I'm going to show you this in scripture, but let's I was kind of jumping ahead here. says, "So if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you've gained a brother. But if you not hear you, now you take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word may be established." Notice how he says that. Every word may be established. Again, we're dealing with spoken words, blessings, cursings. Got to be careful with what you say. Verse 17. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Assurely I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. You see how the principle works. Remember the very first scripture, Ephesians 6:12. We don't fight against flesh and blood, but we fight against principalities, principles, rules, regulations, laws. You see, somebody is coming against you and saying no, we can't do this. Look at the the story of the 12 spies. 10 spies said no. Two said yes. And those two had to wait 40 years. So, it impacted them big time. But they got back, didn't they? They got to go in the promised land. They got back what they were what was stolen from them. You got to hear this. You got to understand. And you got to fight for this. You have to to take the effort to go fight for it. Look at this. 1 Timothy 6:12. Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hold of an eternal life to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. So now this is why the elders and the pastor have to get together behind the strong man. You need to tell them sin, you are not welcome here. We're shutting you off. And we're also speaking to the spirit of each person because each person now has a spirit that represents themselves in the spirit realm. Say, I open your eyes to see. I open your heart to receive. I open your ears to hear you. This is the responsibility of the church to take back. Now, imagine if every region did this. I think uh the Lord would be really definitely having a Holy Spirit revival being poured Previous Next Home

UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION PART 8 Equip listeners with a clear, faith-building understanding of the second half of the Tribulation in Revelation—how global government, Israel, and the Church converge under Christ’s ultimate judgment—so believers are reassured of their hope in Jesus while discerning the mark of the beast, the role of the two witnesses, the end-time timeline, and the call to steadfast obedience. UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION PART 8 Pastor Marcos Marrero June 21, 2009 Objective: Equip listeners with a clear, faith-building understanding of the second half of the Tribulation in Revelation—how global government, Israel, and the Church converge under Christ’s ultimate judgment—so believers are reassured of their hope in Jesus while discerning the mark of the beast, the role of the two witnesses, the end-time timeline, and the call to steadfast obedience. Synopsis: Opening & posture: A prayer of consecration and readiness to receive God’s Word, seeking protection from hindrances and an outpouring of blessing, peace, joy, power, healing, deliverance, and restoration. End-time framework (three converging “dispensations”): Nations/New World Order moving toward one world government and economy; Israel restored as a nation (yet “without the Spirit” in Ezekiel’s dry bones sense); The Church restored to apostolic foundations; a faithful Philadelphia remnant contrasted with a Laodicean church left behind. Seals & historical momentum: The spirit of antichrist, wars, and a demonic door of deception associated with 20th-century upheavals set the stage for present global consolidation and control. Rapture & mid-point shift (Rev 11): The faithful Church is caught up; the two witnesses minister for 1,260 days, are killed, then raised and called up. Their departure signals the “abomination that causes desolation”—the removal of anointed restraint on earth and a transfer of God’s dealing back to Israel. Economic control & the mark (Rev 13:15–18): The beast enforces worship through total commerce control—no buying or selling without the mark, name, or number (666). This marks the period when Satan rules globally through a man, unopposed by remaining spiritual restraint. Number symbolism & tabernacle typology: 153 as “sons of Elohim/children of light” (linked to John 21:11) → a picture of the completed people of God: Church (7 lampstands), Israel (12×12=144 showbread), plus the two witnesses = 153. Tabernacle layout illustrates the rapture, cleansing, reward, and entry into God’s presence; the two witnesses as olive trees alongside the lampstand. Second-half timeline (Daniel & Revelation): Post-midpoint period described with 1,290 days to judgment; overall antichrist ascendancy framed with 666 (interpreted here as a span of conquest) and a terminal 1,332 days culminating in Christ’s intervention. A seven-Sabbath (6×7=42 days) cadence of final bowl judgments completes God’s wrath. Three angelic proclamations (Rev 14): Everlasting gospel preached worldwide; Babylon (false religion) falls, demonic deception caged; Warning: worshiping the beast/receiving the mark brings irrevocable judgment. Martyr harvest & vindication (Rev 14–15): Those who refuse the mark are martyred, then gathered by the Son of Man and seen on the sea of glass singing the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb—law and grace united—awaiting temple access until the seven bowls finish. Final bowls (Rev 16) in weekly cadence: Targeted judgments (beginning with grievous sores on the marked) unfold over 42 days, demonstrating the incurable nature of allegiance to the beast. Second Coming & defeat of evil (Rev 19): Jesus descends on a white horse; the beast and false prophet are seized alive and cast into the lake of fire; the gathered armies are destroyed by the word of His mouth. Millennial horizon: Resurrected saints reign with Christ, serving as His administrators among long-lived, earth-bound survivors in a restored creation order. Appeal & assurance: Believers rest in Christ’s finished work—kept from the hour of testing—while those not yet in Christ are urged to call on His name today for salvation and peace. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Very good. Thanks be to Jesus. Let me know if it's too loud. Hallelujah. Gloria. If you got the book, we're going to start on page 62. 62. 62. [Music] I got me new pair of glasses, so they work good. Father in heaven in Jesus name, we thank you for this opportunity to come and uh to partake of your word. Father God, we bind each and every spirit that would come to uh block or to hinder the flow of your anointing here tonight. Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come in agreement that we are servants and as servants, we need to be fed by the master. And we come to the master's table, our Lord Jesus Christ and his word, the bread that came down from heaven to partake of it. And there's a promise that as we partake from the bread that is presented uh in the book and through the book of Revelation, that it will be a blessing for us. And so we open oursel up to receive the blessing tonight, Father God. The blessing of peace, the blessing of joy, the blessing of power in the Holy Ghost, the blessing that brings healing, deliverance, and restoration to our spirit, to our souls, and to our bodies. Father, in Jesus name we thank you, Lord. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Thank God for his mighty mighty blessings. Hallelujah. Anyway, we are coming to the second half of the seven-year uh uh wrath of God. And so, I just want to give a brief description of of where we're going tonight. Uh I said that um God is bringing three entities or three dispensations uh together at the end time and he's bringing them together to deal with them or to judge them. Remember Jesus Christ the first time he came he came as a savior. The second time he comes as a judge. God has given to him the authority to deal with everything on earth. He is the last Adam. The dominion that God had originally given to Adam that Adam forfeited has been bestowed upon Jesus. Jesus says, "I have authority in heaven on earth and on the earth beneath and on the waters below." He's king of kings is lower lord. So he uh the reason why we know we're living in the last uh days is because this generation is the only generation that have seen these three dispensations come to place at the same time. We have the nations of the world now becoming into what is called the new world order. This new world order means that the earth for the first time since when Nimrod led a rebellion against God will come into one world government. We're living through that right now. You cannot have one world government without one world economy. Remember the biggest problem of getting uh uh Europe together was getting one currency. They finally got a constitution. They finally got one currency. England is the only one that's still holding to the pound and but that will be gone. The euro is becoming the center of that. So you cannot have one world government without one world economy. Then the uh nation of Israel which is a dispensation uh had to be brought back into place because God had to judge the nation of Israel not the Jews. The nation of Israel had to be judged. So that means that God had to bring Israel. Now, Israel is the only nation in the history of the whole world that ceased to exist for a large amount of time. In their case, almost 2,000 years. Actually, they were kicked out of the land in 65 AD by Titus, a Roman general, who destroyed the temple where Jesus was baptized in and uh in Jerusalem. They have been as a nation nonexistent for almost 2,000 years. Then out of the blue, according to the prophets, Israel was born as a nation in 1948. And as you know, there's been six wars to try to eliminate him and they still can. Okay. So, we have the nations of the world becoming one. We have the nation of Israel being established. But according to Ezekiel, without the spirit, if you read Ezekiel, Ezekiel looks at the valley of dry bones and God asked Ezekiel, "Can these bones live?" Ezekiel said, "I don't know." And then he said, "Well, prophesy." And then he says that as he prophesied, the bones came together, a whole army came out, but they didn't have a spirit. And that's what Israel has done. They have combination, but they still don't have the anointing. Why? Because the anointing has been given to the church. Now the church is another one dispensation that God is dealing with and the church dispensation had to be judged according to the apostolic foundations on which the church was founded. Ephesian Paul tells us that the church was founded upon the apostles being Jesus Christ the chief apostle of the chief cornerstone. Now we know that the church lost all of that through the middle ages and this year or this this this this last century. So the revival of the church and believe me very very few people that believe what do you call it the uh the uh the apostolic ship of the church. Very few of us believe on that. So the church but the apostolic has been restored. many prophecies. Uh um the guy that precided over the 1906 uh uh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Seymour, he prophesied that it would be an outpouring again in 2006. He prophesied that there would be an upping but that this time would be worldwide. So the reason why we know we're living in the last generation because this is the only generation that has witnessed the restoration of of Israel as a nation according to the scripture, the restoration of the one world government and the restoration of the church to its apostolic roots. Why? Because when the church is judged, there's going to be a church that's left behind. The one that doesn't need Christ, that doesn't need the blood, that doesn't need those things. And there's a one that's true that's kept his name and that kept his his he his his word. You kept my word and you did not deny my name. That is the the church that is going to be raptured. Okay. So those three entities are in place. Now today we hear about this economic crisis that that is befalling everything. When we deal with the seals, I told you that the seals is the spirit or the force that drives the church age. And I told you that the first seal the antichrist was the antichrist going to conquer and conquering and to conquer that represents the spirit of antichrist that denies that Jesus Christ is the son of god. The second seal was wars and rumors of war but then out of those wars would come in one that would have a large sword and this is Hitler. Hitler opened a big spiritual door. I was watching something yesterday. It just blew me away how Hitler was. This guy was on a seance in 1913 or 14 and and uh a demon came in and told this guy, "You're going to meet the Messiah and you're going to groom the Messiah for his place." Three years later, this guy saw Hitler and the spirit said, "That's the one." And he began to groom Hitler. He lay hands on Hitler. 1923, the guy died of cancer. Another psychic came in and began to to move through Hitler telling happened to be a Jew, a Bulgarian Jew that when Hitler found out he was Jew, he killed him. All of this demonic roots of that guy is what opened everything we have today. All of the knowledge that is in the world today came through Hitler. Believe it or not, this was a door, a demonic door that was open. All this surgery, all of this uh uh uh uh heart transplant li all of that knowledge came through the human experiment that Hitler did, all kinds of doctor, all of the space rays, all of these rockets, all of the jet engine, all of these things. And and then on this towards the end it says now that when Hitler died that many believe that he went underground that he got into a submarine because Hitler the whole time that he was there he was searching for the hole that would lead to the center of the earth because they believe that the earth is hollow and that there was a superior race of beings locked up underneath the earth and he was looking for an access to that. And I've been telling you that the antichrist is a beast that rises out of the abyss and this happened when when we get to the trumpet judgment. So I mean it's just so much going on that it is just incredible how we are living in the end times. We are definitely living on the end times to where we're seeing right now an a world economy and whoever controls the economy controls the world. And that's what the antichrist does. He controls the world. Now we said that when the sixth trumpet blew the church was judged that Leo the church got left because they had Jesus on the outside. Behold I send them the door and knock. If anybody hears my voice and open the doors I will come in. That church get left behind. The Philadelphia church the one that keeps his word and the one that does not deny his name his deity that church is gone. That begins this seven-year period. We said that dur during the first 1260 days, God released the first five months called the first wool. All of the demons that are in hell. Why? Because Jesus comes to the air and that's where Satan is now. He's the chief ruler principality that is on the air opposing our prayers and and everything. Everything that comes from heaven has to travel through that. That's why when Daniel was praying, Gabriel was held up. When Jesus comes in, he dislodges Satan out of there. It says there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels and the dragon and the angels could not prevail and they were cast to the earth. They were removed out of that uh demonic realm. And that's where we go meet Jesus. That's where the rapture when he said we we're not going to heaven. We're going to be caught up with the Lord in the air to meet him in the clouds and the air. So when Satan gets thrown out of that place, that's where we were taken out to that place. And while we're there, these demons are now on earth. And for five months, they're given power to torment everybody, but they cannot kill anybody. So God in his grace allows this to happen. Then four angels are released from the river Euphrates that have been locked there. And then these are the ones like the executioners and they deal with this. And at the end of this, which is where we finished last week, the two witnesses are killed and then they are raised up to life. At the end, they prophesy for 1,260 days, which is uh uh uh 42 months. They are killed. Their bodies lay in Jerusalem for three and a half days. After that, the meaning towards the evening, the spirit of God come upon him, raises them up, and says, "Come up here." And then we saw that that was the the second uh resurrection or the second stage of the first resurrection. You have the resurrection of the church which includes a rapture. You have the resurrection of the saint of the first half of the tribulation which includes God taking people to the earth to protect them. And we read that last week. In other words, uh when you are resurrected, you becomes like the angels of heaven. you're not human anymore in the sense that you can reproduce. So because of that, God has to keep humans uh uh uh on the earth for Israel to reproduce. These people we read last week as they go into the holes and into the caves, their idols, which is the demons are going to be left to the bath and to the bowls. they go through that, God is going to do a a a purification to where when they go into the earth, they're delivered of every demonic thing. They are not released until when Jesus Christ comes back and he brings them up. Now, what I want to deal with tonight is what happens in that middle and in the second half. And um we're going to start in Revelation chapter 13. If you got the book, it's at the very bottom of the page 62. That's where it start. Revelation 13 15-8 it says he was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. Now notice that the power of this beast has to do with the ability to buy or to sell an economic thing. Back in the days when everybody was farmer, you didn't have to buy anything. You could grow your own tomatoes and stuff you could do with everything. Now today, very few people could do that. So now here's what happened. Uh at the end of the 1260 days, the two witnesses are killed. They're laying in the mount. The world is rejoicing because to them, these people were men from outer space. Aliens were tormented them. We the humans finally figure out how to kill them. They're laying there at the end of this three and a half days. Their bodies come back alive and they're taken. Now, Daniel says that when you see that happen, when you see the desolation, the abomination that causes desolation, it tells to all of the Jews, flee to the mountains. If you're in Judea, flee to the mountains. We have a scripture over here. Uh, let me see if I can find it. Okay, it's a little further down the road. Let me not get ahead of myself. But anyway, what happens is these uh Jews have to flee to the grounds to the caves because God is going to use them to restore the nation of Israel physical. We remember we're in heaven. Everybody that's resurrected goes to heaven. So now as soon as the two witnesses are removed, the anointed authority on the earth is removed for the first time ever. From the time that God created Adam, the dominion was given to Adam. Even though Adam's sin, still his clothes, the clothes that God gave him from the animals that he killed represented the men who had the authority that was passed down to Noah, that was passed down to Shem. And all through I don't care how many darkness has been in the church age has been the church even when the church was in the medieval days corrupted even today when the church corrupted still the church is God's representative on the earth it's not until the church is removed the anointed the the remnant God always has a remnant remember when Elisha was fighting uh uh uh uh Elisha said to God they kill everybody and they're after me and the only one left and God said to Elijah I got 7,000 who have not bowed their knees to bail. God always has a remnant which Satan doesn't know where they're at, otherwise Satan will get them. But God always has a remnant. Okay? So this church when it is removed, the anointing is placed back upon Israel. Why? Because Israel is the one that now has to be dealt with. There's seven years left for God to deal with Israel. At the end of these three and a half years when the two witnesses are resurrected on the second part of the first resurrection takes place it Daniel says that it becomes desolate. The abomination that causes the desolation. Desolation means that the anointed authority from God upon the earth is removed. That means there is no power of prayer anymore. See, right now you could see an evil coming and just one little old lady that nobody's heard about it gets on their knees and praise to God. Paul puts it in Thessalonian. He says, "The spirit of antichrist is already at work. But there's something that's hindering him from coming on. But when that one that hinders him is removed, then he will be revealed." So this power of evil cannot be removed as long as there's an anointed person upon the earth that has power to pray because Jesus said, "I give you authority over all the power of the enemy." The enemy means Satan. Satan, the word Satan means enemy, adversary. That's what Satan mean. So every Christian, I don't care how simple or how weak or how imperfect you are, you believe the word of God. You believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he is the deity, that he was born of God, the the bloodline of, you have authority with God. Your name is written in heaven. As long as your name is written in heaven, you have authority. And the Antichrist cannot take over anything as long as we're there. This is how powerful we are. That's what Jesus said. But you see, once that anointing, we're removed, that anointing is passed through the Jews. The two witnesses are killed. They're removed. Where's that anointing goes? It's gone. That's why Daniel prophecy said the abomination that causes desolation. Now, the mark of the beast that we just read is the time that this Satan basically through this man rules over the earth without any opposition. This is the time. See, it says it is the number of a man. Notice what it says there. Uh it says um he the image of the beast that uh is able to speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all both small and great, rich and poor. That means the richest or the poorest, free slave. If you're in prison, there all have to receive a mark on their right hand and on their foreheads. And no one may buy or sell except the one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. Notice is a mark that represents the name or the number of his name. This is important that you understand the number of his name. And then he says here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. Now you say, "Well, how can I calculate or figure the number of the bees?" Well, uh, if you're on the book, uh, it's on page 63 at the bottom. If you got your Bible, you can go to Deuteronomy 32. Look at verses 7 and 8. In Deuteronomy 32:es 7 and 8, Moses, by the way, wrote 12 psalms. He dedicated one psalm to each tribe of Israel. Psalms 90 to 100, that's 11 psalms of Moses are there. Deuteronomy, this is this area we're reading now in Deuteronomy 32 is called the song of Moses. And the song of Moses is a prophetic. All 12 psalms of Moses are prophetic and they're rich in meaning. As a matter of fact, in in Psalm 90, Moses says uh the the teach us to number our days. teach us to count and then that's when he says that the days like a thousand years and a year is like a thousand day and then he says the lifespan of men remember when Moses live 120 years Joshua lived anotherund and some years when Moses's day people still a lot longer but yet in Psalm 90 Moses says the days the lifespan of a human is 70 years and then it's 80 if you have the strength now The Jesus said that the last generation shall not pass away until all other things take place. And what is we the the the Philadelphia church told in Revelation chapter 3? You have little strength. That's the key word that tells you that the last generation is going to be a 70-year generation because according to Moses, it lasts 80 years if you have the strength. our generation the last generation Jesus says you have little strength that means that that is a 70 year generation and that's a code word the 70 year okay now Moses is given as a code word over here in Deuteronomy 327 and8 and he tells the children of Israel said remember the days of old consider the years of many generations ask your father and he will show you ask your elders and they will tell you. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he said, "Bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel." All Jews see the world through a very simple light. You're either a son of Elohim or a son of Adam. You're either a Jew, light, law, enlightenment, or you're a gentile, which them is means like sinners. So in that verse over there, if you read it in in the original Hebrew, the sons of Adam means the humans, the unregenerated humans. The sons of Israel means sons of Elohim. Now you go to Psalm 82. I mean Psalm chap chap Psalm 8 I think it is and beginning at verse two it talks about the sons of Elohim what what are the uh what are we the children of men that you have given us power and it's talking about the sons of Elohim now why is that so important you mean because the phrase sons of Elohim has a numerical value in Hebrew and you see if we're going to figure out the mark of a beast it says that it's a number of a man and you need to calculate the number of a man. So the sons of Elohim, the letter sons of Elohim, Elohim means God. The sons of Elohim or the children of light or the enlightened children. That's why Jesus says you are children of the light. Don't hide your light under the butcher. We're sons of Elohim. We're children of light. Jesus said don't hide your light. We have a light. So the sons of Elohim has a numerical value of 153. Now, that is very important because when you get to John 21:11, and John is a spiritual version of of the gospel, it says there in John 21:11, Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land full of large fish, 153. And although there were so many, the net was not broken. Imagine that. I I was a fisherman. I I fish a lot in Cuba. I used to catch shrimp, octopus, I I catch all time. One thing you never do is you count the fish when they're more than 20. If you catch five or six, you remember how many you caught, but once you get up to 153 fish, you know that that's a lot of fish. The Bible is giving us something. Why is that happening? This is the last time that Peter cast the net. that is speaking about spiritually a symbol of this is the the collection of all the saints. This is the collection of all the children of light. This is a completion of law and grace because God gave a promise to Abraham. He said, "Your seed will be like the sand uh uh uh the sand of the seashore and like the stars of heaven." The promise to Abraham was physical and spiritual. They'll have children. Abraham is going to produce children that are going to inherit the physical kingdom of God. During the kingdom age, there's going to be two kinds of people. When Jesus rules and reigns on the earth, those of us who are resurrected and have the new body, we're going to be like Jesus. We're going to be totally physical, able to eat, stake, able to run, able to do all of things. But yet, we like Jesus going to be able to travel through walls and we're going to be able to travel at the speed of thought. I want to be in Cuba and I'm there because that's how Jesus's body is. That's the type of body we're going to have. And during a thousand years, it says that we're going to rule and reign with Christ. Well, how do you rule and reign with Christ? There probably not going to be no cars because there's not going to be pollution during the kingdom age. The kingdom age is going to be a rural kind of to where horses and and and ships with sales and stuff like that. How do the people that will be living in America at that time know what Jesus wants them to do when Jesus is ruling out of Jerusalem? Us. We're going to rule and reign with Christ. we're going to be able to pop over there. The Lord says, "Marcos, there I am. I want you to go tell Joe over there and that so and so that he needs to plant his this type of plant this time because that's what I'm going to bless." And I'm over here and say, "Hey Joe, why?" Because Joe doesn't have a new body yet. See, the people who survive this tribulation are going to come into a kingdom like it was before the days of Noah to where people live lives over a 900 years. Isaiah speaking about this. He says that during the kingdom age, a person who dies at the age of 100 will be like a baby dying. So these people all of this toxic and and and and son that kills all of that is going to be barred by the time we enter into the kingdom age. The people to survive and and and the people's going to be there, they're going to reproduce like crazy. There's not going to be no war. There's not going to be no devil. There's not going to be no death. So in a hundred years, I mean imagine when they came when Columbus came here to America 500 years ago, there were just a few hands of people, the whole continent of America right now has billions of people. This is how fast we multiply in just two 300 years. And yet all of those people died. Imagine if Columbus would still be alive. if all those people still be alive and reproducing because you know they they go to to a woman's ovary and they know that she's able she's had thousands and thousands of eggs they can figure out well if a woman reaches a place where she can reproduce no more why is it that in her DNA she has all of this thing because we were never designed to die and during this thousand-year reign of Christ we are going to fulfill the destiny for the entire human race both spiritual and physical so as we rule and reign with Christ there's is going to be people that's going to be earthbound. So that's what our job is that we are going to be able to go in front of Jesus in Jerusalem and go back. And it tells us that the nations that don't offer up the the right offerings to the Lord will not be blessed with rain. They will not have no rain. And so this is the system. So once you understand that, now you realize that God is taking because the Jewish race has to inherit the earth. They were given a physical promise. They were told that they were going to inherit the land all the way from the Euphrates all the way to the Mediterranean. They have never ruled that. Even during David and Solomon, they only rule onethird of the promise. During the kingdom age, that will be all their lot. Okay? And so now the antichrist, and we read this last week, the devil possesses him, goes after the woman, but she goes into the ground where she's protected. And then so he makes war against her offspring, those who believe in the law and those who believe in in in in in Jesus. And during this time now, this guy is going to control the whole earth. And his number is 666, meaning that that has to do with what he's going to control. Now, Satan is always an imitator. And everything that God does, Satan imitates. So the question that I want to ask you now is how did God arrive at the number 153? Why does the children of Elohim? Why is there a numerical value 153? To do that you need to understand what Moses did. Moses built uh the tabernacle which is a type. This is different uh things that went into the tabernacle. And in that he copied it from heaven. He gave us a picture of how God counts the children of Israel. When you went into the the u the holy place, let's say that this is the holy place and that this will be the door here. Let's say that from here to there this is hold the holy place. The holy place there was a curtain right here a very thick curtain and that part there was completely blocked and nobody could go into that side of the holy place except once a year on the day of atonement which is going to be next week by the way day of atonement. The only furniture that was on that side of the curtain was the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant was solid gold. You took this lid out, which was all one piece for the two angels. And inside of there was the ten commandments that God gave to Moses. There was a rod of h the rod of Aaron, a piece of dead wood that bought it and there was a jar of mana and that was placed in there that was into this holy place. Now in into the holy of holies in the holy place where the priest went in every day as you came in through the curtain on this side of it there was a minora which represents the church. You see revelation chapter one it says that Jesus was moving in between the church which is seven. So the church is seven sealed seven uh churches is on this side of the place. Now on the opposite side facing that it was what they call the table of showbread. And in this table there were 12 loaves of bread that were made fresh every Monday. They were put in there until the Sabbath day. At the end of Sabbath day that bread would be taken out and a new loaf would put in. You probably read about David when he was fleeing and they were starving and he came to a place and asked the priest, "You guys got anything to eat? The enemies is in our hill. we haven't eaten anything for two, three days. And the priest told him, "All we got is the table that's there." And and so they ate. When they asked Jesus about violating the law and stuff like that, said, "Haven't you read when David was fleeing and how he was fed from that bread?" Okay, now remember all of this represents something. Then in the middle facing the curtain where you couldn't open or go in there except once a year was this item. This is called the uh the altar of incense. Only a very special mix of 11 herbs and spices can be used there. And that was like this is placed in the front. No, now watch what this symbolize. The table of showbread symbolizes Israel. The minora represents the church. This represents the holy of holies, heaven, the presence of God. And here represents the the table where the incense is brought on. Incense represents prayer. You read that into revelation. Now before you came into the holy place and the rest of the thing, there was a big altar over here which is a big altar that you see u let me see uh if you can see it is right here. You see the smoke rising out of it. That was called the brace and altar. All the altar of great sacrifice. A priest came in through the door that was on the east. The very first thing he met was this huge altar where the sacrifice were offered. And then next to it was what called a labor. And there there's a picture is during the days of Solomon was a huge labor that was set on top of 12 boos. Now look what happened in Revelation chapter 7. We're told that the angel comes from the east. Why the east? Because in this place there were only one entrance and the entrance was on the east. The Bible tells us that God gives us beauty for ashes. Why? Because the altar of great sacrifice, when you offer a burnt offering, all that was left is the ashes that were in the bottom. When you live and you serve God and you die, your body is nothing but ashes. When the rapture comes, those ashes are put together, brought up. Now Paul says that during the the the resurrection and the rapture, those of us who are alive and remain are going to be caught up. So look at the picture. The angel comes from the east, comes through the door, comes right to the altar and every person who died in Christ, woo, rises up. And as he go up the stair, like the high priest used to go up the stair, every person who's still up here in the fire because we're in tribulation. That's why the the church go through tribulation. As we're going through this tribulation, we get caught up and we're taken. Now, where did we go to? Well, see, our goal is the Holy of Holies. That's where God is. That's where Jesus is. That's where the blood of Jesus is. So, the Bible says that we have wrinkles that have to be cleaned up. It's called the judgment seat of Christ. It's a judgment of reward. We're already been cut up. We're already been saved. is now we're going to give him uh clean clothes and we're going to give an assignment. Okay? Because God does everything right. So we're brought to this labor which represents the word of God that washes us. We all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Once we're cleansed, the angel goes into the holy place. And what's the first thing he goes? He goes to where the manora is. That represents the church. That mean that our physical body now that has been resurrected will be united with our soul and our spirit which are now already seated at the right hand of God. Every person that has died with Christ is there is in the temple of God right now waiting. They cannot physically go into the presence of God yet until they're get their new body like Jesus. Remember Jesus said to to uh Martha or Mary said don't touch me. I haven't ascended yet. My physical body hasn't gone through into the presence of God yet. Okay. So then the angel comes in, grabs the church. That's when our bodies, our souls, our spirit, we're put one together just like Jesus. We become now like Jesus. We have a physical eternal body, but hallelujah, we're like him, eternal. Then we're taken up into the place of prayer. And we saw that there the angel was given mush incense to burn and that was the prayers of the saint. And as this is throwing up into the altar, we are taken into the presence of God almighty. But we see in Zechariah that next to the manura there were two olive trees. We know that these two olive trees are the two witnesses because we read that in revelation chapter 11 chapter 12. It says the two olive trees that you saw are the two that stand witness before the presenc Home Previous Next

HEAVEN'S THRONE The objective of this teaching is to reveal the significance of God’s heavenly throne as a place of divine covering, authority, and protection. It aims to help believers understand how God has set His throne as the foundation of His dominion, and how this serves as a model for us to establish spiritual coverings in our own lives. The teaching also seeks to encourage believers to walk under God’s protection, to discern truth beyond man-made traditions, and to prepare their hearts for the coming end-time events. HEAVEN'S THRONE Minister Lisa Kane April 18, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the significance of God’s heavenly throne as a place of divine covering, authority, and protection. Synopsis: This message, titled “Heaven’s Throne,” explores the majesty and purpose of God’s throne in heaven as described in Psalm 103, Isaiah 66, and Revelation 4. The teaching explains that God has intentionally set up His throne as both a seat of power and a spiritual covering, reminding us that His dominion rules over all. By examining John’s vision in Revelation, the message describes the awe-inspiring details of the throne room—lightnings, thunderings, the rainbow, the 24 elders, the four living creatures, and the continual worship offered to God and the Lamb. The teaching emphasizes that this heavenly atmosphere of praise is not only God’s protection against corruption but also an example for believers to follow. Just as Job was hedged in by God’s protection, Christians are called to remain under God’s covering through faith, prayer, worship, and obedience, rather than relying solely on denominational traditions or man-made commandments. Practical applications are given on how to establish a hedge of protection in daily life, including worship, Scripture, and consistent fellowship with God. Finally, the message connects the throne room to end-time prophecy, reminding listeners that now is the time to be saved and walk faithfully with Christ. The throne of God assures believers of His ultimate plan to end sin, bring everlasting righteousness, and gather His people under His eternal protection. The teaching closes with a call to live in readiness, place oneself under God’s covering, and boldly share the good news before the final days unfold. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this teaching on Friday, April 18th, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we pray that your word does not return void. That your word fills our hearts and our minds, our soul, and our spirit. That we manifest your word and we share your word to others so that they learn of who you are and how you do things. so they can even better themselves and at least humble themselves before you, Father God, in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus, holy name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Welcome. I'm glad you can join me. We're about to have resurrection day here on Sunday. And since I'm going to be with family, I'm going to teach on Friday. Did this the last two weeks uh because of busy family time over the weekend. This teaching is called heaven's throne. So, we're going to get into how God keeps himself protected, keeps himself from sin, keeps himself surrounded by the things he creates for his pleasure. So, I want to walk you through heaven's throne and partially about end times. I went into end times last time, end time prophecy. So, we're going to talk a little bit more about that, but this is called heaven's throne. So, let's dive in. Let's go to our first two scriptures here. Psalm 103:19, the Lord hath prepared or set up his throne, his covering in the heavens, and his kingdom dominion rule with power over all. Thus, and then Isaiah 66 verse1, thus sayith the Lord, the heaven is my throne or my covering, and the earth is my foottool. Where is the house that you build unto me, and where is the place of my rest? And he's talking to King David there about uh David wanted to build him a home, a temple. And David never had the opportunity to do that because we had of how much bloodshed he had on him. But Solomon, his son, was able to build the temple. And we know that the temple will be built the third time, which will be an end time prophecy. So notice here, I want you to see something. The Lord hath prepared. So the Lord took this action. And what action did he take? He set up his throne. Which that throne is a representation of your covering, of your protection. That's what he did. He has set up his covering in the heavens. And his kingdom is the dominion that's going to rule or with power over all. We are part of the kingdom of God for anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the son of God. 1 John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits. If a person can't say, "I Jesus Christ is the son of God," then yeah, we got problems. But notice the covering part of this. This is his covering. You see, we can set ourselves up under a particular covering. Some people do it through a church. You follow that church's teaching. So you you place that covering of that church upon you. And it could be a denomination. There are many out there. Uh I mean a lot of denominations out there. You've got the Calvary Chapel, the Assemblies of God, 7th Day Adventist, Baptist, Methodist, and the list goes on. Okay? Now, I was not saying any of those in any particular order. But you can also place your covering upon you personally with the Lord which separates you from that. See, here's a key element that we need to understand about the heavenly throne room of God. This heavenly covering, it is a spiritual covering. We were talking about spiritual covering. When you have this covering upon you and you you establish it, see God established his own, when you do that through God and you avoid going through a denomination or a church or anything of that nature, what you end up doing is you're separating yourself from the things of the world. Now, is the church a thing of the world? Typically not. The church is part of the kingdom of God, part of the body of Christ. Well, here's the issue. What if that church has set up what's called commandments of men? They set up theological rules that you have to follow. Uh there are many churches who believe that in order for you to get saved, you not only have to confess, but you also have to get water baptized. And that's not scriptural. Remember the thief on the cross? So, the thief in the cross didn't get down off that cross to go get water baptized. Okay. So, here's where we're looking at it. We're going to be here in Revelation 4 verse, we're going to go through that whole chapter there. I want you to see and understand how God has established his covering upon him. And this is for your protection. So you can come into your secret place with the Lord, you and God, and you delve into the scriptures and you find out what kind of covering do you want to place upon yourself and it will be biblical. It would be scriptural just like a church does. Your body, your temple, you you have to be able to do this. And the heavenly throne room is set up as an example like this because then this teaches us how this is a foundation on teaching us how to deal with everything that comes up to the throne room. And part of it is also that you're putting God first. Remember Matthew 6:33, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all these things are added unto you. Amen. So start here in Revelation 4, chapter uh chapter 4:es 1 and two. After this, I looked and behold. So, I'm going to pause here for a second. John the beloved is writing the book of Revelation. And he is about to be called up to heaven, not to die, but to be a witness and to write down the revelation of it. Now, you say, well, okay, he's going to write down the revelation of whatever is given to him. This is all future prophecy. Do we really need to know that? It's going to happen one way or another. Jesus told the church of Sardis in Revelation 3, and the church of Sardis is a dead church. He said, "If you had been praying and watching," which is what he told the church to do in Matthew 24, you would have known the hour that I was coming. And a lot of people teach that no one knows the day nor the hour. But yet, there's scripture that tells us we're to be watching and praying to be aware of. So, we're in this setting where John is going to be revealed or given revelation of what is to come. Now, I am not an end time prophecy expert by any means. And for that matter, anyone who is. They're not God. I'm not God. We're not God. We're not going to know or understand everything perfectly or completely. What happens is we're going to know a part. And when our parts are revealed to one another, we all share our little parts together, a bigger picture that we have. And that will help us understand end time prophecy. So what we're going to do is that's the setting, the higher uh the overall higher setting here that we're looking at. But we're looking at the throne room at God in his throne room and how it's set up and how John perceives it. So let's get into that. So after this I looked and behold a door. Uh another word for that door in the Strong's dictionary is portal was opened in heaven. You see we do not see heaven and we do not see God's throne. Yet you're going to see that thunderings and lightnings happen here. We get storms, we see thunder uh we see lightning and we hear thunder. So, we know that these things do come to the earth because that's up in the sky, the heavenly area. But we don't see what John is seeing here. This is fascinating. But in order for him to see it, a door had to be opened. You see, if you're going to want to understand end time prophecy, what do you need to do? You need to get into the word of God and ask the Lord to reveal to you, which is opening a door. So, first things first, a door is opened in heaven. And the first voice which I heard w was as it were of a trumpet. Now, let's let's prepare ourselves here for just a quick moment as we're going to look at the throne room. There are weird things in heaven. He's hearing a voice that sounds like a trumpet talking to him. Like a trumpet is talking to him is kind of what he's saying. He doesn't see the person. He hears this voice because remember he's still on the earth. He isn't in the spirit yet. So he hears so it's like um like a faded um it's a like a warped sound kind of a trumpet sound that's he's hearing through this door and it's telling him let's go and look at that says uh and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet or reverberation. That was another way to look at this is that he's hearing the vibrations and his mind is understanding what it's saying means it wasn't actually speaking through a mouth per se. It was speaking through the re uh reverberation talking with me which said come up hither and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. So there's also an invitation from heaven. John was given an invitation. So the door was open. An invitation was given him. He heard it through a reverberating kind of sound. And he and and he's realizing that he's being offered a chance to go up to heaven. Now he doesn't say nope, I don't want to go there. He says or he records and immediately I was in the spirit and behold a throne was set in heaven and one sat on the throne. Now it's interesting that the word throne the word throne is it represents dominion power and here is God seated on the throne in heaven and John sees this. This is incredible because we don't get to see these things, but John was given the ability to record it so that we can actually get an idea of what this heavenly throne looks like. So, let's go into that. And he and he that sat or dwell was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone. And there was a rainbow round about the throne in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne was four and 20 seats. And upon the seats I saw four and 20 elders sitting clothed in white raignment. And they had on their heads crowns of gold or symbols of honor. So the first thing he noticed is the lighting. It's light. It's bright. It's like jasper and sardine. These are colors and they're very vibrant. And then he's noticing he's got 24 elders around him. It's like his own personal counsel, but they do more than that. You're going to see that here in just a moment. Let's continue on to verse 5. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices. Let's pause there for a moment. Let's think about this. So lightning, thunderings, voices. Again, we don't see that here on earth. We see lightning. We hear the thunder and we don't recognize that the heavenly throne is set up in this manner. It's got to be loud. But John is not just seeing the the bright lightnings. He's also seeing the the the coloring of God on this throne. And then he's seeing uh these 24 elders that are surrounding. And he's he's I would imagine he's got to be in a state of shock. was like, you know, the the jaw drop kind of thing, you know. And there were seven lamps of fire burning or kindling before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God. So, we get a little bit of insight as to who God is or what encompasses or makes God who he is. He is seven spirits. Now, we know him as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. See, we don't know but just a little bit of who God is. We know he's omnipotent. He's always been. He will always be. And he created us. He's powerful. But for that part of it, we know he's forgiving. We know he's merciful. We know so little of God. It's like, you know, we're gonna find out when we get to heaven and we're on the other side of this world. We're going to finally get to see more of who God is and find out more of who he is. What makes him work? Why did he do all this? These kind of things. These type of questions are going to be asked and answered. This is how we're going to see it. So now verse six, and before the throne there was a sea of glass like under crystal. In the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four beasts. Beasts are a live animal full of eyes before and behind. Beast live animals. Four of them. We need more information. Let me go to verse seven. And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast was like, The second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle, and the four beasts had each of them six wings or feathers about him. And they were full of eyes or vision within. In other words, they can see. And they rest not day and night. They don't take break. They don't have intermissions. And they say, "Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty, which was and is and is to come. These are holy beasts." Now I I don't want to belittle it. They're beasts. Let's continue on real quick in verse 9. And when those beasts give glory or praise and honor, the the honor is the value or the money pays. They're giving honor to who? Jesus. Because Jesus is sitting at the right hand of God. They're giving honor to both God and Jesus for what they're doing acknowledging the paid amount uh to redeem us. And they think and and when these let's start from verse nine at the beginning. When those beasts give glory and honor and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth forever and ever, the four and 20 elders fall down before him that sat on the throne and worship. They kiss and fawn him that liveth forever and ever, casting and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, deserving, oh Lord, to receive glory and honor and praise, for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Pause. So these four beasts who can see everything because they got eyes all over the place. Praise the Lord. And when they do that, the 24 elders just drop everything. They throw everything back at God. They give them back the crowns and the the glory that they had earned for themselves and they throw it back to God and they say, "Here you go, Lord, and we praise you for you are holy, holy, holy, who is, who was, and who is to come." So he's got this atmosphere around himself that is constantly giving him glory, praise, and honor. Why does God do that? Well, we have to pause and think about that for a moment. God is omnipotent and he knows of how much power that he has that if he were to become corrupt, it would be bad. I'm just going to leave that there. It it would be bad. So what he has to do and what he does is he sets himself up an atmosphere of protection reminding him who he is, who he was, who he will become or be because he's always he'll never change. So he is being in the future as he's being in the now that he was in in the past. That is our beloved Jesus Christ. See, let's look at this from an interesting perspective. So, before all of creation took place, you had God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit that we're aware of. We see that there are seven spirits. So, there's more. But let's just talk about these three that we're taught and know about. We call them the Trinity. Even though that word is not in the Bible, that's what we call them because the three work as one that so much so that even though they're each individuals, we can't tell them apart. But before creation happened, they were all three. The spirit in the spirit Jesus left that son that he was in the spirit left that was pure powerful holiness. And he he left that to become a man to save you and me to redeem us to pay a price. He obvious obviously thought we were valuable to save. That's what Jesus did to the point that he's no longer spirit when he rose from the dead. He rose with a body. He now has a body. God the Father and the Holy Spirit are still spirit, but Jesus now has a body who now sits at the right hand of God in the throne. They share that um power, which is what the throne room represents. It's their covering and they and in that covering they've got praise and worship going on. Now, let's take this to our level. Let's bring us to to this level where what if we walked into the throne room of God. And you know in the spirit we do all the time whether we know it or not. We do. I when I start praying and I'm praying and I I'm actually entering into the and you want to know how I'm entering into it. I can't do it with my flesh but my prayers are in an incense type of form and that it's smoke and it's in the spirit going up to God and he hears the prayers and he moves. Now, we have opposition in the heavenlies where God sends the healing down. It's on its way, but it could take weeks before we get it. Why? Because we have an enemy that's opposing us. Part of that, by the way, is approved by God because God is also interested to know who you are. Where are you going to go with this healing? What do you, you know, are you going to thank me for that healing? Because nine out of 10en times many people do not thank God after they get their healing or after they get a particular revelation. You know, Paul when he was dealing with the thorn in the flesh didn't say what that thorn in the flesh was, but he asked God three times to to remove it. And God says, "My grace is sufficient for You know, the closer you get to God, the more you get to learn about him, the more you realize it is, he has made you understand and realize that you earn um what you do puts you in a position that the more you sacrifice under the hardship conditions, better off you're going to be when you get into heaven, when you get to that throne room, when you get to that element. Now, what about our walk? Because, see, I've seen questions like, "I'm a believer in Christ, but I still sin." Or, "I'm a believer, but I fall and I mess up again and again and again." What then? See, God has a hedge of protection around himself as an example for you and me to realize we need to put ourselves in an atmosphere where we place a hedge of protection around us. the name of Jesus as the son of God around us where we play the praise and worship music whether we're in church or at home especially if we're ministering we miss a service and we had to go do something else which comes up then these are the things you need to be prepared for you need to be prepared to go into ministry this is that next level calling and you have to put your protection around yourself which is the name of Jesus the son of the living God He's our Lord and Savior. And so if you don't want to sin anymore, you have to purpose in your heart that this is what I want to do. I want to give God the glory. I want to praise him. Well, then do that. Stay in that. Even though you have to step out, you have to go to sleep, you have to take a shower, you have to go to work, you have to do these things, you can always have God on your tongue speaking the name of Jesus, praising him, worshiping him because that's what's going to keep you from tripping and falling. And the Lord will show you, he's a lamp into your feet, a light into your path. He will show you, reveal to you the things that are coming up. This is the hedge of protection that we have been granted and we can have that. Let's look a little further. Um, Job is an interesting book. Job 1:10. Hast not thou made a hedge? This is the devil talking to God about Job? Look at what he says here. Hast not thou made a hedge in twin or shut in about him and about his house and about all that he hath on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands. because you've kneed at the work of his hands. In other words, you approve the work of his hands. The transaction and his substance you bought. You you paid the price for him is increased in the land. You see, the devil's acknowledging. See, God is bragging about Job right now. And he's saying, "Have you seen my servant Job?" And um the devil's like, "Yeah, you got him so shut in and protected I can't do anything to him. That was God that placed the hedge of protection around Job. Job had God's covering on him because of the acts that Job that Job did. Even when his kids had a party, the very first thing when sunlight came up, he was over there um sacrificing animals just in case they cursed while they were under the influence of a drink. He didn't know if they did it or not, but he was praying on their behalf, interceding for them just in case. This is the kind of righteousness that Job had. And that place God's covering upon him, God approved it. And everything about Job, he was righteous and protected. And yet, God bragged about him and allowed the enemy to do what he did to him. But not once did Job complain or curse God. He talked and he said things like, you know, I believe him. He's my Lord. Hey, I came into this world naked. I'm going to leave this world naked. He confessed these things. But he never once cursed God. And then the devil had to leave him alone after that because God shut him in and protected and placed his covering over him. And wouldn't you rather have God's covering on you versus man's covering? See, when you rely on man and you rely on what man can do, you can rely on what a doctor can do. They're taking guesses as to what your problem is medically. They don't know who is your creator, who knows your body best, our God in heaven, who knows your heart. If you're truly interested in wanting to be in the ministry of the the word of God and you're really wanting to go forth and save people's lives, now is the time to go into all the world and preach the good news. This is why I do what I do. I'm trying to tell you guys, get saved now. Because when you see these seven years that are coming that's been prophesied and spoken of in Daniel and Revelation through John the beloved, when you see that coming where at the first 50 days, nobody could die. It's hell on earth. You don't want to live in that time period. Don't make it to that time period. Get saved now because the righteous will be removed before that time. Look at the conversation Abraham had with God before God went and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham was very concerned about the righteous being mixed with the wicked. And here the righteous stood up and said no. Uh my humble apologies. My grandson came in and just uh uh got me all Abraham had a conversation with God and as God was tell he revealed to Abraham what he was going to do. who's going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. But see, Lot lived in Sodom. And so God Abraham was like, "Wait a second. There's righteous and wicked." The two are entwined together. And so God Abraham asked him, "What if there's 50 righteous people?" And God says, "I won't destroy the city." What about there's 45? No. Won't destroy. How about 40? No. 30? No. 20? No. 10? No. When God destroyed Sodom, it was only Lot and his two daughters who were rescued. His wife turned around and turned into a pillar of salt. That's all that survived that because that was all that was left of righteousness. Same with Noah's day. Methuselah was number nine. He was the ninth righteous. Noah and his family were eight. When Methuselah died, that was it. There were no other righteous people. This allowed God to destroy the earth with the flood. Well, he's gonna do the same thing when he brings wrath and he pours it on the world, which is what that seven-year time period is all about. So, now's the time for you and me as teachers of the word of God to one, place that hedge of protection around us, and two, to go into all the world and tell people, you don't want to live in that time frame. Get saved now while the getting is good. Amen. That's what we need to do. And look at what else um in Job chapter 3 uh verse 23. Why is light given to a man whose way is hid and whom God hath hedged or fenced in? You see the light of the world is through us and in us when we stand with God. Even though we still fall, God has forgiven us and we're declared righteous. Look at Ecclesiastes 10:8. He that digth the pit shall fall into it. And who so breakth a hedge, a serpent shall bite him. When you don't have your covering, you're going to get bit by the devil because remember, he was the serpent in the Garden of Eden. And so, he's going to come bite you. You need to be in a place where you have God's hedge of protection around you. You need to enter it. Go to him. Start a relationship with him. Start talking with him and say, "Lord, I need you." And then spend that quality time with him. Don't just do a daily devotional that's anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes. Let it mean something. Purpose it in your heart and mind. Let your heart talk to God and say, "I really, really want more of you." And by the way, he tests the hearts of men. So, he's going to know. What else is he going to do? He is going to answer your calling. He's going to answer your prayer and he will be there and he will place his covering upon you and he will conceal you and hide you in his arms and nothing can touch you unless the Lord allows it. And then at that point if that's the case, something does touch you or something happens do what Job did. I came into the world naked. I'm going leave this world naked. I just give you the glory. Because see, God has an ultimate plan. Amen. He has his end goal. Read Daniel 9:27 gives you the ultimate plan. He's going to bring an end to sin, an end to iniquity, an end to transgression. He's going to close up vision and prophecy. He's going to bring an end to that. All of that's coming to an end. So, in the meantime, we as believers need to let the world know it's time to get saved. time to get saved and place ourselves into under his covering so that we're walking under his anointing and we are not convoluted or mixed up with commandments of men or polluted by theology that they can't get it and they'll never get it. Not until they humble themselves before the Lord and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and are saved. Amen. So that's just how it works. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word and we honor your word. You are precious and holy and worthy and honorable and we thank you that your word does not return void. Let your word fill our hearts, Father God, and let us manifest your presence and let us tell the world. Open the doors for us to tell the world now is the time to get saved. Thank you for showing us how you set up your throne room. Thank you for giving us the idea of how to hedge ourselves in under your holy protection. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Happy resurrection day and I will see you next week. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

The lesson equips believers to embrace God’s counsel for themselves and to become vessels of wise counsel for others. Synopsis: In Spiritual Counsel, Pastor Marcos unpacks Jesus’ threefold counsel to the lukewarm church of Laodicea in Revelation 3:18—buying gold refined in fire, wearing white garments, and anointing eyes with salve. He explains that this spiritual counsel highlights salvation tested by trials, garments of righteousness refined through faith, and spiritual vision restored by God’s truth. The teaching underscores that true counsel originates from God, whose purposes never change (Hebrews 6:17). While the Laodiceans claimed self-sufficiency, they were spiritually poor, blind, and naked, needing God’s refining fire. Pastor Marcos shows that refusing God’s counsel leads to consequences such as tribulation, while embracing it brings restoration, purity, and clarity. Furthermore, the lesson connects Jesus’ counsel with the principle of ask, seek, and knock (Matthew 7:7). Believers who ask receive God’s wisdom, those who seek justice find it, and those who open their hearts to Him experience deliverance. Pastor Marcos stresses that God’s counsel is not only for personal growth but also equips His people to guide and intercede for others, as Moses did for Israel. The threefold foundation of God’s counsel—salvation refined like gold, justice sought and revealed, and deliverance through an open heart—is presented as essential to walking in His will. Ultimately, the message calls believers to reject self-reliance, open the door of their hearts to God’s Spirit, and embrace His counsel fully, both for themselves and as examples to others. Inspired Teaching: Revelation 3:18 “I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.” There are three things that Jesus counsels the church in Laodicea to do, we can call these three things the bedrock of spiritual counsel. Let us first establish the fact that one of the names of Jesus in the Old Testament identified Him with this very important ministry: Counselor! Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” As we can see God places a very high value on spiritual counsel, that is because the right counsel can deliver a person out of destruction. Counsel: Advice given as a result of consultation. Lawyer. From Webster’s definition of the word counsel, we see the idea behind it; counsel is advice given to those who seek it, and counselor is used as a title for those who render legal advice, like a lawyer. Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Here we see a connection between the threefold counsel that Jesus gave to the Laodicea church, and the threefold aspect of seeking spiritual advice. The Laodiceans were not seeking spiritual counsel for they were saying: we have need of nothing, so that Jesus was rebuking them for their lack of understanding the true nature of their spiritual condition. Revelation 3:17 “Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.” They had gold, but they were lacking refined gold; they had garments, but they were lacking white garments; but worst of all, they had eyes, yet they lacked spiritual vision and could not see their true condition. What is spiritual counsel? The unchangeableness of His purpose. Hebrews 6:17 “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel (unchangeableness of His purpose), confirmed it by an oath.” Here we get to the meat of the counsel of God; God has a purpose for your life and for mine, and God has a purpose for the entire creation—that purpose is not going to change no matter what anybody does. Satan cannot stop it, man cannot stop it, circumstances can never stop God’s purpose. We are either going to be part of God’s purpose for our lives or choose not to be part of God’s purpose for our lives. If we are walking outside of the purpose that God has for our lives He gives us free advice, He counsels us to reason out with Him what the consequences are for those who choose their own will for their lives, especially if we are His. Gold is representative of God’s salvation. The Laodicea church told the Lord, we already have salvation, after all we are one of Your churches; the Lord’s reply to them was simply this: you may have My salvation but it has not been tried in the furnace of affliction, seeing that you refuse My counsel of what is best for you, here are the consequences. The consequences for refusing God’s counsel was that they would have to endure the day of His wrath here on the earth, they will have to go through the refining fire of tribulation and miss the rapture, what a loss! Garments represent our spiritual covering. White garments implies clean garments that have been washed in the refining fire of the testing of our faith. The reason why God allows His children to go through trials and tribulations is for the purpose of refining our way of thinking, that we might receive the mind of Christ and seek His purpose for our lives. Romans 13:12, 14 “...Therefore let us cast off the works (dirty garments) of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light (white garments)...But put on the Lord Jesus Christ (make His purpose for your life your covering), and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Eye salve represents spiritual vision. Once we submit our lives to the tutelage of God’s spiritual counsel, eye salve is applied to our spiritual eyes, and immediately we begin to see the Wonder of His Mighty Counsel that emanates from our Everlasting Father, our Prince of Peace. Ask, seek, and knock. Once the counsel of God is administered into the heart of the believer, it is up to that believer to become a wise counselor, both in word and deed, ministering to others the counsel that has been administered to them. Exodus 18:19-20 “Listen now to my voice; I will give you counsel, and God will be with you: Stand before God for the people, so that you may bring the difficulties to God. And you shall teach them the statutes and the laws, and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do.” God leads us by the example Jesus set for us, so those who follow God’s counsel become examples to others as to how they can bring their difficulties to God. For God gives counsel to those who teach others to follow God’s counsel. God also allows those who follow and teach His counsel to become intercessors, to stand before God for the people. All of these blessings of God’s counsel bestowed upon Moses, were in response to the people inquiring (asking) of the Lord through Moses. So that we see the connection between people asking about difficulties and God’s counsel being revealed through the man of God. But Jethro, Moses father in law counsel Moses to appoint men of truth, who fear God and hated covetousness, to help him in this ministry so that he would not burn himself out by being the only one that was able to operate in that gift. They asked and it was given to them. God’s counsel. Isaiah 16:5 “In mercy the throne will be established; and One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness.” The second of the threefold foundation of the counsel of God is to seek justice. The majority of those who waited all day long in line to ask for God’s counsel through Moses were seeking justice, somewhere, somehow, somebody had wronged them and they were seeking deliverance from the wrong that was inflicted upon them. So that those who are in right standing with God receive His counsel when they ask, not just for themselves, but also, when they ask on behalf of those who are seeking justice. They that seek justice, find it: In God’s counsel. Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” Deliverance from bondage is the third of the threefold foundation of the counsel of God, and it is related to that which is deep within the human heart. To the Laodicea church Jesus said these damning words: Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door (of your heart) and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Most Christians relate this verse of Scripture as applicable for an unbeliever that they are witnessing to, that is why it is such a damning statement, because Jesus was speaking it to one of His beloved churches. The counsel of God cannot enter into a heart that has shut the door closed to God’s prompting. The Holy Spirit is grieved every time a believer hangs the do not disturb sign on the door of their hearts. You see it is out of the heart that the issues that make a person unclean flow. Deliverance cannot take place in a person that has closed their heart to the Spirit of God. This is just the thing that brings the refining fire of God upon those who make salvation nothing more than an insurance policy, just in case eternity is real, they just do not want to end up in the wrong place. Matthew 15:18-19 “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.” The goal of the counsel of God is to deliver the heart of the man out of its vileness. A person that is fully aware of the wickedness within his/her heart, should not be afraid of opening the door of their heart to the counsel of God. You ask God for salvation, He gives it to you; you seek for God’s justice from those who wrong you, He renders it to you. Why would you fear the unlocking of your heart’s door when He comes knocking? Why is deliverance such a dreaded thing? Acts 28:27 “ For the hearts of this people have grown dull (closed). Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.” Let us go all the way with the counsel of God right now, let us not just see with our eyes and hear with our ears, but let us open wide the door of our hearts and understand the fullness of the spiritual counsel of God. I hear Him knocking: Do you? Previous Next Home

  • I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand the difference between authority and power as given in God’s Word, and how to exercise both effectively in spiritual warfare. It seeks to ground the believer in the truth that all authority flows from the Word of God, and that through Christ, we have been granted the right and responsibility to enforce God’s Word against the enemy. I GIVE YOU AUTHORITY Pastor Marcos Marrero April 21, 2019 Objective: The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand the difference between authority and power as given in God’s Word, and how to exercise both effectively in spiritual warfare. It seeks to ground the believer in the truth that all authority flows from the Word of God, and that through Christ, we have been granted the right and responsibility to enforce God’s Word against the enemy. Synopsis: In I Give You Authority, Pastor Marcos explains the biblical foundation of authority and power as revealed in Luke 10:19, where Jesus assures His followers that they have authority over all the power of the enemy. Drawing from the Greek terms Exousia (authority) and Dunamis (power), the lesson clarifies that while power is the force of ability, authority is the legal right to command and enforce obedience. Authority originates from the written Word of God, which functions as the spiritual “code of law,” while power is released through the believer’s faithful application and proclamation of that Word. Pastor Marcos illustrates this principle through practical examples, such as a police officer’s reliance on written law, emphasizing that the devil can only accuse when God’s Word has been violated. However, Christ’s sacrifice has given believers immunity from condemnation, granting them both authority and power to stand against the enemy. By distinguishing between Logos (the written, established Word) and Rhema (the spoken, active Word), the teaching shows how believers move from passive acknowledgment to active enforcement of God’s truth. Ultimately, this lesson urges Christians to recognize their position as enforcers of God’s Word. By abiding in Christ, confessing sins, and proclaiming the Word, they can overcome accusations, silence the enemy, and walk in the victory that Christ has secured. The authority and power given by Jesus equip the saints to trample spiritual opposition and declare boldly that they are justified and holy before God. Inspired Teaching: Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” In our last lesson we dealt with this subject title, The Entirety of Your Word is Truth. In today’s lesson we are going to deal with the authority that has been given to us in the entirety of God's Word to trample down over all the power of the enemy. If you read the King James version of our opening text, you will find that the word authority is translated as power, even though it is a different word in the original Greek than the other word translated power in the same verse, over all the power of the enemy. Fortunately for us the New King James version gets the translation right, but I want to focus our attention in this lesson on the interactions between power and authority, for it is vital for us to understand the differences if we want to operate in the entirety of the Word of God. Exooseeah: Authority, from Strongs concordance # 1849. Doonamis: Power, from Strongs concordance # 1411. Now let us take a look at another verse of Scripture in the New King James version, where in the original text the word is Exooseeah, but they still translate it with the word power instead of authority. Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers (Exooseeah in the original text), against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” To us it almost seems like authority and power are synonymous, but from the perspective of Scripture they are very different in practice and application, because they derive their intent from two different sources. If we look at the word authority in Webster’s dictionary this is their first and second rendering of its meaning. Authority: 1, A fact or statement used to support a position. 2, The right to give commands and the power to enforce obedience. From the biblical perspective, all authority originates from the Word of God, and it is the Word of God that authorizes us to take and to support a position that declares the facts that the Word of God proclaims, as stated in the opening text of our last lesson. Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” It is also from the authority of the Word of God that we receive the right to give commands from the Word of Truth that trump all the power of the enemy and allows us to enforce obedience. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Let us look at it from a natural perspective; let’s say that a police officer stops you while you are driving, he can only ask of you that which the written law requires us to have, a drivers license, a registration, and proof of insurance. He must have a reason for pulling you over, that is also required of him by the written law. And if he finds that you are in violation of the law, he will give you a citation to appear before a magistrate, the code that he alleges that you have violated must be written on the citation with a brief explanation of what it is; failure to stop at a red light, etcetera. A policeman cannot stop you because he does not like the color of your car, or for any personal reason on his part, if he does, he himself becomes a law breaker, for he is as much under the law as we are. So that all authority comes from the written code. In the spiritual realm, the devil cannot bring an accusation against any human unless that person has first violated God’s written code. Proverbs 26:2 “Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight.” Curse means ill will words, and they can only be activated against those who have been found in violation of God’s blessed Word. The devil cannot afflict a soul without permission, for he has to bring an accusation first against a human who has violated God’s Word, and then it is up to God who is the High Magistrate who rules over His own Word to cast the final decision. Since we all sin and fall short of God’s glorious law, the devil is very busy hurdling accusations against us day and night, so God gave us an Advocate to plead our case, Jesus Christ His own Son. Romans 7:6 “But now, by dying to what once bound us (the written code), we have been released from the law so that we can serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.” NIV So that Jesus by dying for our sins has given to those of us who accept His propitiation for sin—immunity from the written code—so that we can become servants of the Most High God and ministers of His Word. All authority comes from the written code, even the authority to become enforcers of it, which brings us to the other word, Doonamis power. We cannot become enforcers of God’s power until we become one with His authority, and we cannot become one with His authority until we become one with the entirety of His Word. That does not mean that we know everything in the entire Word of God, but that we acknowledge that the entire Word of God is the seat of all authority and the final arbiter on any matter. When we think that something is right and after finding out from the Word of God that it is not, we proceed immediately to change our previous perception and accept God’s ordinances as settled law. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word (Logos, in all three instances) was God.” Just like there is authority and that there is power, and that both of them derive their function from God’s Word, there are also two different Greek words that are used for the word, word, and the difference I believe, brings more clarity into the functions of authority and power and their interactions. Matthew 18:16 “But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word (Hraymah) may be established.” Logos: Thought, from Strongs concordance # 3056. Hraymah: Utterance, from Strongs concordance # 4487. Let us see if we can make a connection, the Greek word used for In the beginning was the Word, is Logos, and it means Thought, Idea, and it encompasses volume and unity, like vast amounts of water in a reservoir waiting to be tapped. We can think of the law that way, a vast amount of ordinances waiting for a law scholar to skillfully apply them. The other Greek word translated word is Hraymah and it means Utterances, as in words that flow, meaning that they are released from the passive into a flowing action. This is really not that complicated, stay with me a minute and let me explain the beauty of how it all comes together and works. If you are driving over the posted speed limit, you are in violation of the written code, but if there is no one present who is authorized to enforce the written code you are not penalized. Even though there may be many present who can bear witness that you are in violation of the law. When Jesus told us that He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy, He authorized us to enforce the written code, God’s Word against the devil and his minions, but that authority has to be exercised on our part, turned into power—no body else is going to do it for us. Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand (God’s Logo-Word), to execute vengeance (Hraymah, the utterances of God) on the nations, and punishments on the peoples (demonic hierarchies); to bind their kings (strong man) with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints.” God has delivered us from the written code that once bound us, and made us His saints, that is, he has given us authority over our accusers, and since that authority is ours to execute His written Word over our enemies, then it is up to us to release the utterances that crushes the enemy and all his accusations against us. If we are accused of sin by the devil, we unleash the power of God’s Word of authority against him immediately. 1 John 3:6 “Whoever abides in Him does not sin…” If we are accused of pride by the devil, we unleash the power of God’s Word of authority against him immediately. 1 John 1:8-9 “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” The authority that Jesus gave us over our enemy, places us far above our enemies condemnation, and he does not get to set the standards against us any longer. Romans 8:33 “Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect (those whom God has declared holy)? It is God who justifies.” And the power that Jesus gave to us, for us to exercise over our enemies, flows out of the Spirit of God working within us, that loudly proclaims to all creation that we are holy to the Lord! The Logos, God’s Word, gives us the authority, and the Hraymah, power, flows out of the utterances that comes out of our mouth when we by faith proclaim and enforce the Living Word of God. • BUT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

BUT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE Equip believers to understand biblical deliverance as a walk of freedom through truth—learning to discern spirit, soul, and body—so they can renew the soul, resist fleshly bondage, break generational patterns through forgiveness, and live led by the Holy Spirit. < Back BUT THROUGH KNOWLEDGE Pastor Marcos Marrero February 3, 2006 Objective: Equip believers to understand biblical deliverance as a walk of freedom through truth—learning to discern spirit, soul, and body—so they can renew the soul, resist fleshly bondage, break generational patterns through forgiveness, and live led by the Holy Spirit. Synopsis: The message opens in prayer, asking for “the sincere milk of the Word” and God’s strength in weakness. It teaches that truth brings freedom (Jn 8:32): believers are declared free, yet must walk out of bondage by gaining knowledge and wisdom (Prov 28:26; 11:9). Jesus warns that practiced sin enslaves (Jn 8:34); 1 Jn 1:8 admits we still sin, while 1 Jn 3:9 speaks of the reborn spirit that cannot sin. Reconciling these, 1 Thes 5:23 shows we are tri-part beings: spirit (already made alive), soul (being saved), and body (not perfected until resurrection; 1 Cor 15:50–57). The battleground is the soul—our “operating system”—which will be driven either by the Spirit’s wisdom (James 3; Jn 6:63) producing the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22–23), or by worldly, sense-driven impulses producing the works of the flesh (Gal 5:19–21) that steal the joy of God’s kingdom within. The sermon addresses inherited iniquities across generations and offers a practical path: confess and forgive ancestral sins, sever old ties, and receive the Spirit’s breath to lead the soul (Jn 20:21–23; 1 Jn 1:9). Biblical examples (David and the showbread; Rahab) illustrate being led by the Spirit over legalism. The call to action: pursue truth, renew the soul, actively forgive, and live daily under the Spirit’s governance to experience ongoing deliverance and genuine freedom in Christ. Inspired Teaching: sincere milk of the work, the word. And we ask for your anointing tonight, Father God, upon our ears, upon our eyes, uh the eyes of our understanding. I pray that you would open our ears that we may hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us tonight as we partake of your word, that you will give us a heart not only to understand it, but to implement it. Father God, thank you, Lord Jesus, for your presence here tonight. Thank you for blessing Fred and Tony and thank you for blessing vision for Women Ministries, Father God. And thank you, dear Lord Jesus, for giving strength, Father God. Uh uh when we stumble and we get weak, Father God, and we get weary because of the fight, Father God. You come in strong. You show yourself strong to the weak, Father God. And I pray dear Lord Jesus that as we have gone through our times of weaknesses and and and uh and fights and struggles and battles that you are here tonight and that you are here strong on our behalf. Hallelujah in Jesus name. Amen. Praise God. God is strong. Hallelujah. Praise you Jesus. I'm gonna be speaking about liberate. I guess uh uh knowledge is deliverance or freedom uh to know and uh I want to get as much as I can in without rushing it. So I'm going to be um going by the scriptures kind of quick and if he can take notes, no problem. I'll give this to Fred and he can um uh and he can make up well actually he has copy of them already given copies of it but the first scripture is in John 8:32 and then we know this one Jesus says and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Now uh we have to understand that uh you can be declared free and not be free. You know we had the um uh the war the civil war to where you know the slaves were declared free but then if you were on a plantation and you didn't have nowhere to go technically you were not owned but you still had to pay now for rent and everything else. So you still didn't get anything. you work for free. Okay? So technically you were free but in reality you were not. Okay? And so we have to understand that that happens with us Christians too. We are free because Jesus has made us free. But if we're bound by the devil, we're still having to pay dues to the devil. I don't care what you call it. So Jesus says, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." Proverbs 28:26, it says, "He that walks in knowledge will be delivered." You know, I have it in Spanish and I'm translating. I better look it up real quick. Let's go to Proverbs 28:26. Make sure that I get it right. See, that's how I get in trouble in Spanish. I try to translate from English to Spanish. And then it's the uh the Bible according to my own translation. Uh and that doesn't work as you know. So, Proverbs 28:26 says, "He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered." Proverbs 28:26. It if you walk wisely, you will be delivered. Okay? The opposite of that is if we walk foolishly, we will be snare or bound. So, so the point I'm trying to make is with these three scriptures and one more that I'm going to read. The point that I'm trying to make is that even though once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our savior and lord, we are free, it requires for us to walk out of the prison. You know, you can take a bird that's been on his cage uh for a long long time and open the door and the bird is so used to being in there and having the food there that even if he flies away, he doesn't know what to do and he comes back and that in reality we were on the human nature so long that we come into the freedom of God. And the first thing he says, "Oh my god, but if I give television, if I keep boo if I give boo up, if I give my joints up, if I give this, if I give that, if I give all of the things, what's left, Lord, just stuff me up and put me on a wall someplace, you know? I mean, I don't have a life." That's the mentality that we get when we get saved because, you know, man, everything is is bad for you. You can't listen to oldies. You can't listen to raps. Okay, let's there's nothing that you can do. My god, you know, I mean, I'm dead. And that's the mentality that we have that brings us back to the old way of life. And the other scripture is in Proverbs 11:9. This is one of the scriptures that we use for for many years on the deliverance ministry. And uh it says uh he uh proverbs 11:19, the hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Through knowledge. So here you have Jesus says you will know the truth and the truth is going to make you free. He says that if you walk in uh in in in knowledge, you will be delivered. And then he says that the just, that's us, because we're just because Jesus made us just uh uh will be delivered by by by the truth. Um he says um but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Now, when he's talking about deliverance, many Christians, they have that religious spirit on them. Said, "Well, I've already been delivered. I've already been set free." Jesus paid for all of my sins. You know, I'm I'm as delivered as I'll ever going to be, you know. And this is basically what the Pharisees said to Jesus when Jesus came in and and was telling them that they're doing wrong things. We're not slaves to anybody. They were slave to the Romans, but oh no, we're not slaves. We're children of Abraham. We're not slaves. And how did Jesus answer to them? Look at John 8:34. Let's go to John 8:34 real quick. And this is what Jesus has to says about those who by inheritance, they have inherited the promises of God. And so they believe there are free. And Jesus said to them in John 8:34, "Most assuredly I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." Uhoh. Do you know any Christians that have sinned lately? Well, we're free, but yet we're slaves to sin. And this is I guess the u the greatest tool that Satan has over all Christians that you know we are free. We have been set free. We have been purchased. We're hes of Abraham. We have the blessings of God upon our lives. But yet because of lack of knowledge. We do not have freedom. We do not have liberty. We do not have deliverance. We walk in sin. And when we walk in sins, we're a slave to sin. And who's the one that runs the sin market? Satan. So that means he can manipulate you, right? That means that you you get on high for the Lord. And Satan said, "I bet don't bother him now. He's in one of those uh Holy Ghost high, you know. I'll wait until he gets a little depressed. I'll wait until he gets a little down." You know, that's what it is for people that want to quit smoking. They go for 30 days, 40 days. They're doing real good. And then when the pressure gets in, you know, he throws, throws, and then, oh man, you got to have that nicotine. You know, you got to have it to to release the pressure. And so that's what he does. He sees you in a Holy Ghost high and then he waits his time. He said he'll come down from that mountain. He can't stay up there forever. And he waits until you come down. And man, when you come down, he's waiting for you. And he's waiting for you with a big hammer and he hits you with it. And boom, he says, "Oh, I got you again. Now you're a slave to sin again." So I want to deal in this first part with uh uh this issue. How do we know the truth so that we can walk in freedom? How can we walk in freedom so that we can be delivered? And and how can can can we understand uh the deliverance that God has for us? Okay, I want to throw you a curveball. Now, if you go to first John, this is one of the the uh what you may call it uh theological issues that I had to deal with in my own life when I got saved and I began to study the word of God. First John chapter 1, uh verse 8. First John is towards the end of the Bible. It's uh right after Peter. I think you got uh James, Peter, and John, the letters after Hebrews. So towards the end of the Bible. Okay. Now 1 John 1:8, let's read it. It says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive oursel and the truth is not in us." Uhoh. John 8:34 says that if you sin, you're a slave to sin. And first John 1:8 says that if we say that we do not sin, we're liars. So we're sinning. So that means that to whatever degree may be on each individual person, we are all having to deal with sin's manipulation over our life. You can't escape it. It's there. Okay. Now, let me throw another curveball at you. Go to First John 3 verse 9 since we're right there on that uh that beautiful chapter. 1 John 3:9. First John 3:9 says, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin." Uh oh, I missed that curve by mile. Whoever has been born of God does not sin. Uh oh, I don't think I'm being born again. How many of us have not? Well, first John 1:8 just told us that if we say that we haven't sinned, we're lying. And now first John 3:8 3:9 says, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for his seed, God's seed, remains in him, and he cannot sin because he has been born of God." Now remember I read you three scriptures uh John 8:32, Proverbs 28:26, Proverbs 11:9 that says that it is true knowledge that the righteous it is delivered. It is through understanding that we get set free. So we need to understand what that verse is saying to us. If we do not understand what those verses are saying to us, then we can still walk in ignorance and in lack of knowledge. And when we're in lack of knowledge, we're not delivered. We're bound we're bound by ignorance. Um Hosea 6:4 I think it says uh uh my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Okay, lack of knowledge. What you don't know will hurt you. What you don't know will hurt you because that's the realm that Satan works on. So what is John or the Holy Spirit speaking through John about? Okay, in order to understand this, let's go to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and then I'll explain it. I'll give you a fast poll that you can hit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. And that's right before a few books before First John. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Now may the God of peace himself whenever God introduces himself by a title he is telling you what he's dealing with. Did you know that most Christians do not have peace because of the fact that they know that they are being manipulated by Satan at certain times? Nothing grieves a Christian more than being all of the these are together. So, first Thessalonia is with Timothy where Timothy and Titus are which is right before Hebrews. But, uh, Christians get grieved when they know that Satan has a hold on them because you're trying to serve God. You're trying to worship God and you have that voice, that accuser in the ear telling you hypocrite. You were out there doing this today, doing that, and you're trying to come over here now serve God. you know, if you are an usher or if you're trying to play uh for the Lord or praying with somebody and we're having to deal with that. And so, if we do not understand this, we cannot be delivered because truth is what sets us free. Now, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, God says, "I am the God of peace, and I'm going to show you something that is going to give you peace." First Thessalonians towards the back of the Bible, right where you were, right by First John, just work towards the front of the Bible. You have Hebrews and then all of the TE's are there. Yeah. Okay. So, God is saying, "I am the God of peace and I'm going to show you something that is going to give you peace." 1 Thessalonians 5:23, it says, "May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely." Now I want you to underline that word you completely in in Spanish is really good. I got a neat revelation when I was starting that in Spanish is the whole you, the real you, the complete you. And that's why God is said may the God of peace sanctify you completely, your whole you, not just part of you, your whole you. First Thessalonians 5:23, your whole you. And then he tells you what the whole you is. He says uh uh may may now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely the whole you and may your and then he says whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So what God is saying here is that we are made of three parts. We're made of three parts. We're made of spirit. We're made of soul and we're made of body. Now, the soul and the spirit are made of invisible stuff. You can't see the spirit. You cannot see the soul. Have you ever been next to a person that's dying? I kind of try to look to see if I see a smoke or a puff or something come out. Doesn't happen. You can't see it. The soul leaves the body. It's go. All you see is the breath stop, you know. the breast stop and that's it. You don't see the spirit coming out. The spirit is invisible. The same way with the soul. The soul is invisible. So then the only part that we see is onethird of us which is made of physical stuff. That's the body. And so we have a tendency to think that the body is the whole thing. You see? But no, we're two parts spirit, one part physical. Two parts invisible, one part visible. So God deals with the whole us, not just the one. So we have to understand that if I sin, God is going to look beyond the body to the other two parts to see what is causing that body to malfunction. If you have a car and the car is not running, you got to check the uh uh uh uh the gasoline. You got to check the oil. You got to check the battery. There's different. There's there's electricity is one part of it. The combustion system is another part of it, you know, and and your tires have to be on or the battery have to be on, you know. So, so God is the God that looks at the whole you. And if God sees your body breaking down and doing something, instead of God judging the body, he looks at the whole person to see where the problem is. Because you see, it is through knowledge or through understanding or through revelation that the righteous is delivered. The truth sets you free when you understand this. Now, I I got a whole bunch of scripture there, but for the sake of of just getting the point home and getting as much as a message as I can. Like I said, I got five pages. I want to tell you our physical body will not underline this will not be made perfect in the state that it is in right now. I don't care how much you pray. I don't care how much you fast. I don't care how much you exercise. You can eat fruits and nuts until you die. And you're going to die still. You're going to get old still. you're going to hurt still. This physical body became corrupt when Adam sinned. And this physical body, the only hope for the physical body is in u I I can give you the scripture if you want to take uh the notes is in 1 Corinthians 15 15- 57. It talks about the day that the body is going to be redeemed. 1 Corinthians 15:50-57. It says that the trumpet is going to blow because the trumpet will blow at the last time. And it says and every person to die who their bodies got all and die. You know, Moses was a man of faith and he died. Abraham was a man of great faith and he died. And the prophets, they were killed. They didn't get a chance to die on their own. Most of them were killed, but they died. See, we have to understand that our physical body, the the one-third part of who we are, will not be trans will not be redeemed until the day that it is transformed. In other words, if the trumpet, there's a trumpet that's going to sound and that trumpet is going to initiate the restoration of the physical body. That means that if I die and they put me in a wholesome place and 30 years later the trumpet blows signaling that Jesus is coming back that physical body which at the time would be nothing but dust is going to shoot up. All of the molecules the atoms are going to come back together and the spirit and the soul which are already with Christ are going to have a house to operate here on the earth with him. This is what's going to happen. So first of all my friend understand this that the physical body can only be controlled or brought under desemation of the spirit but cannot be made perfect. Cannot be made perfect. He's going to get tired. Jesus got tired. Jesus couldn't carry the cross. They had to get somebody to carry the cross for him. That physical body is going to fail. That's why the Bible says put no confidence in the flesh. Don't trust your physical body. Trust the spirit, you know, have a pair of handcuff and lock yourself up until throw the key out the window if you need to stay in for that night. And when somebody comes in the morning, tell them where the key is at downstairs, come pick up, set you free. Do whatever you can to control that physical thing. But the physical body cannot be redeemed until you're transformed by the coming of the Lord. But now, and that's what 1 Corinthians 15 says. So then you need to understand that two parts of you, your spirit and your soul are living in a house that is full of termites and cockroaches and rats, bad plumbing. All kinds of bad things are in the house that we're living on. So we're going to have to learn true knowledge is a righteous deliver. We're going to have to learn how to live in this house. Okay. Now, so when first John 1:8 says, "If you say you have no sin, you're lying is because in your physical body, you will always have the tendency to sin." Your physical body, as long as it's alive, as long as there's breath in that physical body, the tendency to sin will always be there. So, we need to know that. So when the Bible says, if you say that you're have no sin, you're lying. That's right. But what is he talking about? He's talking about the body. But now when the Bible says in 1 John 3:9 that he who is born of God does not sin, cannot sin and will never sin. Hallelujah. Is because God is referring to your spirit man. See, spirits don't die. We need to understand the physical body, the one-third of us has a beginning and has an end. You know that's how but spirits don't die. Spirits are eternal. So a dead spirit simply means a spirit that separated from God. So when Adam was created, God played around with mud. He he he started putting some m together and he formed you know God is pretty good with his hands you know he created everything the heavens are his handiwork. So if God can create all that beauty I mean he took man and he just fashion but it was nothing but a lump of clay but then the breath of God which is eternal spirit. God's always been always will be. God has no beginning no end. God, eternal spirit blew into the the the nose. I I figured God maybe took his fingernail and and poke a little hole up in there in the nose, you know, and when he blew in through that, the man became a living soul, meaning the spirit of God gave life to the physical body. Well, when Adam, God said to Adam, if you do this that you're not supposed to do, you're going to die. Referring to his spirit. Satan comes in and says, "Oh, you will not die." Referring to the body. We need to understand that this is how Satan operates. Satan always uh approaches us in the physical uh way because he knows that's where we're weak at in the flesh. But God always begins with the spirit because that's what gives life. The spirit is what gives life. So when Satan said to oh no, you will not die. Adam took of the fruit and he still lived 930 years. His physical body did but his spirit became separated from God instantly. He lived in a garden of Eden with God and he was thrown out. Okay? So when Jesus and and and and catch this because this is important. God said we have to get rid of the man because if he reaches his hand now and takes of the tree of the fruit of life which is Jesus if he reaches his hand and takes of the tree of the fruit of life he's going to live forever but he will live forever in sin because you see the sin has to be taken out of him be before his spirit could be restored so God had to take him out of the garden deal with his sinful nature before he could bring the tree of life now Jesus comes in and he says, "This is my body. Take and eat. This is the cup, my blood. Drink it." Once we do that, I confess it. You cannot get saved without confessing that you're a sinner. Because you cannot get rid of the sin unless first you confess it. So you come to God and said, "I confess that I'm a sinner and and and accept Jesus sacrifice in your behalf." The breath of God blows again on you in the nostrils. The Holy Spirit comes. The Holy Spirit came to me June 3rd, 1976 when I went to the altar and and confessed that I was a sinner that night. The Holy Spirit came in and entered into me. And what he did is he made my spirit who was separated from God quote unquote dead. He wasn't dead because spirits live eternally. My spirit would have been in hell forever. Separated from God, he made my spirit alive in him. And even though my body hasn't been redeemed yet, and it might take thousands of years, it may be tomorrow, but whatever it takes, I can never die again. My spirit is connected with God cannot die and it cannot sin. And so when First John 3:9 says, "Whoever is born of God does not sin," let's read it. I'll show you why. And in Spanish, this was neat. I got the uh uh I got some neat revelation uh getting it's like getting a different translation. 1 John 3:9. Whoever has been born of God does not sin for his seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he has been born again speaking of our spirit men. But the word there his seed meaning God's seed in Spanish is [Music] and that comes from the semen from from the the male semen. In other words, in the physical body we have a semen that when planted into the woman brings life. It causes something to to to to be conceived and to be born. God saying of our spirit when my spirit comes into your spirit my semen or God's lifegiving power came into the spirit and if you read out it says and it remains whoever has been born of God does not sin because God's sin is in him and remains cannot be taken out Satan cannot cause the semen of God to be taken out out of your spirit because your spirit is either separated separated with God or or united with God. And sin cannot separate your spirit from the love of God. Read Romans 8. Uh uh uh Paul says, "I am fully persuaded that neither life nor death, nor principalities, nor power, nor angel, nor demon, nor things uh uh present, nor things to come can ever separate me from the love of God." That's where the why? Because the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart. That's where the spirit is. So knowledge begins with the fact that two out of three parts of us has already been dealt with. Our body is corrupt and our spirit has been made alive in Jesus. I am perfect in Jesus. I am seated at the right hand of the father. That's my address. Like uh Fred likes to say, that's my mailing address is in heaven. Satan sends me any hate mail, that's where it goes. The angels of God got to deal with that them bum letters and the things that he said. That's that's where they go. That's my address. That's my home address. So then now comes apart if my spirit is born again and it cannot sin and my body has been so polluted that has to be destroyed and it has to be uh uh renewed or made alive or uh how do we say transformed then the part of me that needs fixing like I said I can't do nothing about the body I can do nothing about the spirit then the part of me that needs fixing is the soul see the soul soul is our operating system. Our soul is our operating system. Like a computer, you can have the in the computer thousand gigabytes or whatever they call those things. You can have all of that knowledge and everything, but if you don't have a Windows program, it's not going to do you any good. Because if you don't speak that computer language to tell it what to do, you're not going to do nothing. But yeah, you get your Windows program, which is the operating system, and it has this little thing they call a mouth, and you just point and click, point and click, point and click, and the computer go, but all you're doing is pointing and clicking. That's how it is. Our our spirit is very complex, but the soul makes it easy. The soul is just a point and click. So then the soul is the one that needs to be saved. In other words, my spirit is already saved. My body will be saved when the trumpet uh uh comes, but my soul is being saved. That's the part of me that needs to be worked on. Now, let me see if I can find because I'm going so fast over here. Uh Luke 6:45, Jesus says, "The good man out of the treasure that is in his heart brings good thing." uh uh uh the the the evil man out of the treasure that is in his heart brings. And then he says out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. Okay. So whatever is in the soul, that's what's going to speak. And then uh okay, let me see. Um remember I'm translating as I'm reading this our Spanish. No. Okay. I'm looking for a scripture here. Okay, let's go to uh 1 Peter 1:9. 1 Peter 1:9. It's right there by where First John is at. Just go back a little bit. 1 Peter 1:9. 1 Peter 1:9 says, "Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls." receiving the end of your faith which is the salvation of your soul. First Peter 1:9. Now if the end of faith is getting your soul saved then the beginning is when the spirit got saved. So we need to understand that our spirit is already saved. Our body will be transformed when the trumpet blows but the soul is being saved right now. The script that I was trying to look that I couldn't find is working out your own salvation with trembling and fear. And uh I don't know what what scripture that was in I had it on on this one. Uh for those of you who are taking notes or uh Philippians Philippines Philippians 2:12, he says, "Work out your own salvation with trembling and fear." So the salvation is worked out in in in in there. Now I'm going to give you an illustration to help our physical mind understand how the soul the spirit interact in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 where God says your whole person he's praying that your whole being your whole person will be kept until the day of redemption your whole spirit your soul and your body. The word for spirit all through the New Testament which was written in Greek is numa. Numa that's like u uh the inner tubes that you put in bicycles, you put in cars and numa. That's where we get pneumatic, pneumatic tools, all of the things. And it means numa because in in both Hebrew and Greek the word spirit, breath, air are all interchangeable. If you say air in Greek, you might as well be saying spirit. If you say spirit, you might as well be saying air because air cannot be seen. And as I said, our soul and and and our spirits cannot be seen. So they call them air. So then the word numa pneumaticos in in the Greek is the word that says what our spirit is. And it means a blast of air. Like I take a balloon that has nothing in it. That blast of air, that's the word numa. And that is what God did when he got a hold of Adam's nostrils and he blew into his nostril. The spirit came into Adam. Now why is this important? Okay. The word for soul in the same where he said your whole spirit your soul. The word for soul is suket. This is where we get the word psyche. Psychology. Everything that has a p and a h before that comes from the word soul. You know psychology has to do with with the study of of the mind. you know, uh, uh, suket also means air, but not a blast of air, just air. And so when you look at it the way that the Greek presents it is our soul is like a tool that runs on air. Let's say a jackhammer. You got a nice jackhammer, you need a compressor. The jackhammer runs in air, but by itself it cannot run. So you get a compressor going, you hook to that jackhammer, and as the air begins to blow through the jackhammer, power comes in and it moves the tool. Our soul was designed or created by God to be motivated by spirits air. So my soul is driven by spirits. Why you think they call it inspiration? Spirits working inside. Inspiration. To be inspired, to be motivated. Okay. You want to be a a what do you call it? A Olympic person. And you got to have a lot of air motivating you in there to where when everybody quits, you keep going. You keep going. You are driven. The word self-esteem is soul air, soul power moving. So once we understand this, now we can get a better picture of what God is talking about when he's dealing with deliverance of oursel. Because here's the problem. when I was born up until when I was 29, my spirit man was separated from God because I wasn't born again. So my spirit was out of the picture. It was disengaged. It didn't have nothing to do with with my life. So what was it then that was motivating my soul? What was my inspiration? What was the force that was robbing my life before I got born again? Well, my senses, the loss of the flesh, the loss of the eye, the pride of life. Those are the three main spirits that are in the world. The loss of the flesh. So, I was driven by fear. I was driven by love. I was driven by whatever thing you know, selfish love, but all kinds of things. Those are the things that drive us. And since those things are all in the world, James uh one of the scriptures I have is is James chapter three I think it was and it talks about how there's two different kinds of windows. Yeah. James 3:13-18. He says that there are those two kinds of wisdom. See because knowledge is equated with the spirit or the breath. So when God says it is true knowledge that the righteous is delivered, it's not the knowledge of the world. It's the knowledge that comes out of the mouth of God. John 6:63 Jesus says, "The words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life." So when the the the knowledge that comes from above like James 3 says comes in, it produces peace. It produces self-control. It produces good things on my body. You know what you put in your soul determine what your body walks on. That's what Galatians chapter 5 is all about. Tells you what the fruit of the flesh is and what the fruit of the spirit is. When the spirit of God is moving through your soul, there's love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control. The body says, "Oh, I want that." Shut up. You can't have it. The spirit is driving you. The spirit said, "That's not good for you." And so, the spirit is motivating the soul. on the soul like an athlete that is driven to accomplish something denies himself, denies the body the things that he wants because he has a goal. He's driven by something. Paul uses that when he's talking about how athletes uh uh uh work to to get a crown that phase he says we should be driven by that eternal crown that we're going to get. Okay. So now then there's uh also a wisdom in in in James 3 that is from the world. He says this wisdom is sensual. Not sexual sensual meanings that this wisdom manipulates the soul through the senses. What you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you taste, what you touch. And that is Satan's realm because he is the prince of the power of the air. The spirits that run the world are all geared up to the senses. Sit on the TV and watch for 20 minutes and tell me how much stuff you're going to see there in those 20 minutes that are going to tempt your senses. They're all gear up to your senses to manipulate your senses. Every time I fasted, I see commercials about steaks and barbecues and and it looks so good. I could go to the TV and take a bite of it. You know, it is like that. It's all manipulated to do that. So then deliverance or the knowledge that brings deliverance is having to understand what spirit is driving me? What spirit is driving my soul? Well, Jesus says, "By the fruit you will know them." You know, you can uh let me take a drink of water here. You can uh uh hang around with the person that you just met and you hang around with them for let's say 30 minutes, an hour. And within that period of time, you're going to know exactly what drives that person. Whether a person is driven by money, whether the person is driven by pride, whether a person is driven by family, whether the person is driven by whatever is driven, it comes out so quick. It is known because you know is is is what we're breathing is what we're moving on. deliverance. The knowledge that does deliverance is given to us by God for the purpose of identifying what spirits are driving me or motivating me and why are they there? You know, deliverance is is is simple is what is it? Because uh if you go to Galatians and and I'm trying to to to get the whole th Previous Next Home
