  • PRAY AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF FEAR | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

Say this prayer out loud: Precious Father in heaven in Jesus name I humbly come before You to beseech Your peace in these trouble times. I know that true peace does not depend on the abundance of things or the lack of them; true peace comes directly from You, the Prince of Peace. There is nothing that can remove the torment of paralyzing fear except the precious blood of Jesus sprinkled upon my conscience. Deliver me Oh Lord from the fear over which I have no control, the fear that overwhelms my heart. Visit my spirit I pray with the manifestation of Your undying love for me, touch my heart dear Lord right now during my hour of need. Reveal Your grace to my soul afresh every morning and let the breath of the Holy Spirit clear away the dark clouds that hover over my mind. Anoint my head with fresh oil that marks me for favor with both God and man. Also clear my eyes that I might see the wonders of all Your very precious thoughts and promises to me. • TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the divine purpose and privilege of suffering for Christ. Rather than viewing suffering merely as loss or hardship, the lesson aims to reveal how God uses it as a process of discipline, spiritual growth, and preparation for eternal life in His kingdom. By embracing suffering for righteousness’ sake, Christians can partake of the divine nature, bear spiritual fruit, and be equipped to reign with Christ in the age to come. TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the divine purpose and privilege of suffering for Christ. Synopsis: In To Suffer for His Sake, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores Philippians 1:29, emphasizing that Christians are not only granted faith in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for Him. He distinguishes between general human suffering—often the result of poor choices or inherited conditions—and Christian suffering, which is uniquely tied to righteousness and divine purpose. The teaching highlights that suffering for Christ refines believers, enabling them to partake in God’s divine nature as described in 2 Peter 1. This process cultivates spiritual fruit such as faith, perseverance, self-control, brotherly kindness, and love. Marrero compares this to olives being crushed to release oil, showing that suffering produces anointing and fruitfulness. Furthermore, suffering has eternal implications. It prepares believers for their place in God’s kingdom, where positions and rewards are tied to the measure of faithfulness and endurance in trials. Drawing from passages like 2 Timothy 2:12 and Matthew 20:23, the lesson reveals that enduring suffering for Christ aligns believers with His example, who endured the cross for the joy set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). Ultimately, Pastor Marcos teaches that Christian suffering is not a curse but a divine training ground. It equips the believer to walk in godliness on earth, produce eternal fruit, and reign with Christ in the life to come, fulfilling God’s perfect will. Inspired Teaching: Philippians 1:29 “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” In today’s Christian environment it almost feels like heresy to say that it has been granted to us, not only to believe in Him, but also the privilege of suffering for Him. In this lesson we will deal with the reason why God considers it a privilege when the followers of Jesus are allowed to suffer for His sake. Let us start with the basics; what is suffering for His sake? 1 Peter 3:17 “For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.” To suffer for Jesus’ sake is to suffer for doing good. But let us not gloss over the importance of suffering itself, for all of us suffer one way or another. Suffering always has to do with discipline, for those who suffer are trained by their sufferings. And it is part of the natural process as well, as children we are deprived of many of the things that we want until we learn how to use them properly. Now in the world, suffering, though it may bring some kind of discipline to the sufferers, it is usually the result of bad personal behavior, or due to the failures of the progenitors of those who are suffering. We can see that throughout the many nations of the world today. Those who are fortunate enough to be born in nations where the early fathers made sure that future generations would have better living conditions, by setting the right political and educational systems that would allow their descendants to be raised with the proper discipline to make things better, definitely suffer a lot less than those who are less fortunate. Those who are born in nations whose early fathers fostered hatred, division, and intolerance, whose aim was to regenerate their own bigotries after they were gone, and not what would be best for their descendants, suffer more due to the prejudices that they have inherited that keeps them from making the right choices. But this is where I believe that many Christians miss the true purpose for Christian suffering, for their understanding of suffering is based partly in where they were born. Those born on the west see suffering from a different perspective that those born in the east do, globally speaking. Christian suffering overrides whether one suffers for the lack of our ancestors discipline or because of it, it does not matter. Christian suffering is a different matter altogether and we need to understand that. 1 Peter 3:14 “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed…” The reason why Christians suffer is so that they can become partakers of the divine nature through their sufferings! That is the blessing. 2 Peter 1:3-4 “As (according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” The divine nature is this: in Christ we are not of this world any longer! Let’s see if we can take a practical look at what Peter is trying to tell us. When Jesus was asked by Pilate if He was a king, Jesus answered that His kingdom was not of this world. Suffering for Christ’s sake prepares Christians for the kingdom that is to come, as it is written in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 2 Timothy 2:12 “If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him…” KJV There is divine order in all of God’s creation, and that order is enforced by His divine power that governs everything in the creation in accordance with the laws of God. Suffering for Him and ruling with Him is one of those laws, if we suffer for Christ’s sake we do not suffer in vain! Being saved qualifies us to operate within the law of suffering for Him so that we can reign with Him, since in Him we have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Now here is the process of suffering for His sake and becoming partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:5-9 “But also for this very reason (becoming partakers of the divine nature), giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.” Diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance (patience), godliness, brotherly kindness, love. All these are spiritual fruit that emanate from the anointing of the Holy Spirit that covers us. And just like the olives must be separated from the tree and crushed to make the oil flow, we too have the need to be separated from the world and made to endure the sufferings that allow for the anointing that is in us through the born-again experience to come forth. Philippians 1:11 “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” Now there is a higher and more futuristic agenda to suffering for Christ’s sake as well, and that has more to do with the kingdom that is to come. Matthew 20:23 “So He said to them, ‘You will indeed drink My cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on My right hand and on My left in not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is prepared by My Father.’” Jesus gives us insight into the kingdom that is to come, He tells His disciples that they will indeed suffer a martyr’s death but that God Himself will decide what position each believer receives in accordance with how much they suffered for Christ’s sake. The reality is that most of us just want to make it to heaven and we don’t care where we sit, as long as we are in with Jesus and where Jesus is. But if we think in terms of excelling in our training that is preparing us for the future, they both accomplish the same thing; let me explain. The future kingdom of which all born again believers will be a part of, is an eternal kingdom. What does that mean? That means that in that eternal kingdom we cannot make any mistakes, for one mistake in eternity disqualified even the most anointed of the cherubs. When God made us, the human race, He made us a little lower than the angels, see Psalm 8: He did so for the purpose of working all the bugs out of us before we became eternal, therein comes the suffering part. You see when Lucifer and the angels that followed him sinned, their natures were abruptly changed, and since they dwelled in eternity, they became eternally dammed and unredeemable, for time is the fourth-dimension where past present and future are all the same, one eternity. God placed us humans in the third dimension which is lower than the dimension that the angels occupy, for those who live in the third dimension are stuck in the present, which is not a bad thing if you figure that as long as it is called today, the present, we still have a chance to repent and make whatever wrong we made, right again, before we die and enter into the fourth dimension of eternity. Hebrews 4:7 “Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts (and repent before you die so that you can enter into God’s rest).’” Hebrews 4:1 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.” What that means is that once we die, as believers, we go before the judgment seat of Christ where our abilities to sin are removed from us once and for all, and then we are rewarded with our eternal position which is based on the things that we did while here on earth in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” This is not a judgment of salvation, for if one is not saved he will not make it into the judgment seat of Christ. This is a judgment of rewards or the lack of them. What that means is that Jesus is trying to get us, while here on earth, to let go of the worldly things or what is called the works of the flesh, so that we can produce spiritually eternal fruit, like Peter listed, for the more spiritual fruit that we produce the greater our standing or the higher our heavenly position will be. But the flip side of that is that the more spiritual that we become while here on earth the more power that we have to impose the kingdom of God in our midst, but in order to become more spiritual the greater the suffering that we must endure by denying ourselves of the worldly pleasures that war against the kingdom of God. Now this is the kind of suffering that Paul is talking about: Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” So that it is only suffering if it seems to us that we are missing out instead of gaining eternal blessings. Philippians 2:5 “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” His suffering earned Him the highest position, which is to sit at the right hand of God. Our suffering will get us to the highest position ordained by God for us, which is for His good and perfect will to be done in our lives. Previous Next Home

  • WALKING IN KNOWLEDGE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

WALKING IN KNOWLEDGE To encourage believers to walk in the knowledge of God’s Word, developing wisdom, discernment, and boldness through the Holy Spirit, while rejecting unbelief, silence, and disobedience. The goal is to lead Christians into a deeper personal relationship with God in the secret place, where true understanding and spiritual renewal are found. < Back WALKING IN KNOWLEDGE Minister Lisa Kane November 10, 2023 Objective: To encourage believers to walk in the knowledge of God’s Word, developing wisdom, discernment, and boldness through the Holy Spirit, while rejecting unbelief, silence, and disobedience. The goal is to lead Christians into a deeper personal relationship with God in the secret place, where true understanding and spiritual renewal are found. Synopsis: In Walking in Knowledge, Minister Lisa Kane draws from Hosea 4:6 and Colossians 3:6–17 to emphasize the importance of living by the knowledge of God’s Word. She explains that destruction comes not only from rejecting knowledge but also from spiritual silence and unbelief, which hinder prayer, obedience, and God’s power from operating in our lives. Believers are called to boldly seek God’s wisdom through Scripture and the Holy Spirit, not relying solely on pastors or leaders but developing a personal, intimate relationship with God. Kane warns that rejecting knowledge leads to serious consequences, even impacting one’s children, while walking in knowledge brings blessing, renewal, and the ability to intercede effectively for others. Practical teaching is given on putting off anger, malice, lies, and filthy communication, and instead putting on forgiveness, humility, meekness, patience, kindness, and love—the true image of Christ. Walking in knowledge transforms the heart, renews the spirit, and empowers believers to live boldly, pray effectively, and act with discernment. Ultimately, Kane calls Christians to live as powerful intercessors, walking in God’s peace, unity, and thankfulness, so that everything they do brings glory to Jesus Christ. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this on Friday, November 10th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Walking in Knowledge. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you that your word does not return void. We thank you that we have ears and eyes open to hear and see the living word of God. And we pray that our hearts and minds are open to receive and believe. Father God, help us stand strong in the knowledge of your word and and to walk with the spirit of discernment with your wisdom and your knowledge and your understanding to be a part of our lives. Father God, thank you Lord for blessing us and your favor upon us and enhancing our time alone with you in the secret place. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to be looking at Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge. I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me, seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children. So, in the last handful of weeks, I've been teaching on deliverance and changing our way we pray and and things of that nature. Well, this goes right along with it. It's kind of the culmination of it. So, we're going to be focusing on Colossians 3 6-17 for the most part of this um teaching. But here, I want you to see something because this is why we have to walk in the knowledge of the word of God. And in order for you to have knowledge, you need to be going to the source. That's the living word of God. That's God himself in the present. You need to be entering into that. And you can't get that just from church. You see, pastors and ministers and leaders of groups of people have to minister to the whole. They're the shepherd for the whole. Well, for you to get your individualized uh understanding and teaching, you got to go straight to the Holy Spirit. And the only way to do that is when you schedule time to do that. I've been teaching on this now for a handful of years. All right? So, take a look again. I want you to see this now with the rest of the meanings. And a reminder, when you see the words in bold, that's the word in the scripture. Well, when you see the words in italicize, those are other words that could be placed in that bold word. So, in other words, Strong's dictionary is what I'm using and they're the ones that provide the other trans, you know, other words that can be translated from the original text. So, gives you a bigger picture and a fuller picture and the understanding of the scriptures. So, my people are destroyed. When you think of the word destroyed, you think they're just blown away by a bomb or something. Uh, but instead that word destroyed means dumb or silent. Let's let's examine that for a minute. The only way you would ever be dumb is because you're not reading the word of God and you're not getting the truth from it. Because God, the gift of the Holy Spirit is wisdom, knowledge, understanding. These are some of the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us. You do not have that when you're in the world. So, it's going to seem foolish to you, but you can have that wisdom because you're seeking the word of God. Notice also it says the word silent there. When you're silent, you're not praying for people or you didn't vote um the way God tells you to vote, which is through, you know, you don't vote for someone who supports abortion. That's murder. So if you're voting for that person, you are doing it silently and you are complicit to it, which means you're bringing a curse upon yourself and you don't even know it or realize it or you're doing it on purpose thinking that God is going to give you justification for it. The reality is no. So you cannot be dumb. You cannot be silent. You need to be praying. You need to be praying boldly. You need to be praying effectively for change, which in order for you to do that, you need to have the living word of God in you, his knowledge. So now look at this. It says, "My people are dumb or silent for lack of." Look at this. That word knowledgeers means knowledge there means cunning, aware, wittingly. You need to be cunning. Go back to Joshua. Take a look at Joshua and the way he was handling uh some of the the enemy camps that he had to deal with. At one point, he told God, "Stop the sun from moving. Stop the the the moon from moving as well till we finish getting these people." God said, "Okay, God did what Joshua told him to do." I'm telling you, God appreciates boldness in prayer. You know, when I go and I pray and and I prayed for California and the weather to be restored there when I was living out there and we had like six weeks of a deluge of water coming down. Part of it was I went to the Lord and said, "Shut the mouths of those that are cursing what we're trying to bless. I went straight up to the throne room praying that saying it. Actually, just telling God that boldness. Got to have the confidence in the boldness." And you see, if you're spending time with the Lord, you know you can do that. That's awesome. So, he's very clearly saying, you're dumb. You're silent. You're not being cunning. You're not aware. You're not being wittingly. You have to be aware of the things that are going on. You should be watching the news. Don't put your head in the sand. Uh you can't do that. You have to be watching the news. You have to be paying attention. You have to pay attention to what your preacher's preaching. You have to pay attention to what our representatives are doing in the government. And you need to be praying for them for salvation, but at the same time that they're following the living word of God. That's your responsibility. And if you're aware, you can get real cunning about it. You know, one of the things I just taught was prayer. You can go to Psalm 149 and it really tells you what you have a right to do as a a believer in Christ, but you can bless and you can curse. And so I'm asking God to forgive and forgive and forgive and that's exactly what I'm doing. But at the same time, I'm saying, "Okay, Lord, now that they're forgiven, let's open up their ears and eyes." Because Jesus said, "If you open up the ears and eyes, they will hear and believe." But there are some who continue to choose to reject the Holy Spirit, to continue to blasphe the Holy Spirit. Oh, okay. If you're going to continue to do that, then Lord Lord, rebuke them. Michael the Archangel said, "Lord, rebuke you, Satan." Talking to Satan, when he uh Satan was stealing Moses' body, he could have fought for him, but instead he humbled himself. Says, "I'm going to let the Lord handle you." You see, you there you can be cunning and aware and bold in your praying for that. And look at the consequences when you're not walking in his knowledge. Because thou rejected you, you cast awareness away. You were disdain knowledge. I will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me. And see, we're supposed to be priests and priestesses unto God to God for the salvation and the mercy of all those around us and those that we are responsible for in prayer in the name of Jesus. Look what further happens. Seeing thou has forgotten, listen that word forgotten there is mislay or oblivious. You're oblivious to it. You haven't purposed to go find out the knowledge of the living word of God. You haven't done that. But because you're oblivious of the law of thy God, you know what the new law is that we follow? Love one another with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbors as you do yourself. Because that's the new commandment that Jesus gave us. And that word love is obligation, duty. I just taught on all of that. It's a different kind of love than benevolence or having an emotional attachment. Love is a duty and an obligation to serve the Lord even when you don't feel like it, even when you don't want to do it or even if you don't know what to say. It is putting yourself in that place and saying, "Holy Spirit, you're going to have to take over because I'm not feeling it today." And he will. He answers that kind of prayer. But seeing that you've forgotten the law, you're not following it, I will also forget thy children. Do you love your children? You better put God first in your life. That's just simple reality of it. There are so many children out there suffering and it's because the parents aren't spending their time with the Lord and not getting right with the Lord, not walking in the knowledge of God when they're supposed to. That is your responsibility as a believer in Christ. And then you should be reaping the harvest, too. Okay, we're going to focus here in Colossians 3. So, let's uh start in verse six here. for which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. Okay, so here is now the children of disobedience which we just read from Hosea 4:6. Look what he says. He says wrath or the punishment of God comes on the children of disobedience. And that word disobedience is disbelief and unbelief. You know, if you go read Jeremiah and I think it's 38 or 39, he's talking uh they just pulled Jeremiah out of the mire in the pit and he meets with King Zedekiah and the king is saying in confidence, tell me what the Lord has said. And the, you know, he's telling them, hey, the Lord told you, you need to go to Babylon and you will live if you go to Babylon. If you don't, you got problems. Well, he didn't. And when Babylon invaded and he ran, they captured him. and they plucked his eyes out and they killed his children in front of him before they plucked his eyes out. He had a choice. He chose the wrong way and that's the consequence. And his children were were killed as a response uh uh to that. Do you love your children? Take up your responsibility and be a good parent and start spending time with God so your children can be saved and your children can live for Christ. Amen. And and when you don't believe and I want you to think about this for a minute, instead of saying, "Lord, that's just that that's not real. I just cannot believe it." Instead, I want you to say, "Lord, you know what? I don't understand what that is, but I'm going to trust in you, and I'm asking you to help me understand that so I can believe." You see, now you're putting that unbelief or disbelief. You know, did God hold the sun and the moon for Joshua? The Bible says he did. How many of you truly believe that or don't? How many truly believe Zedekiah did reject the word of God through Jeremiah and got what he deserved? Some of you are saying, "Well, that's cruel. What kind of a God is this?" Hey, I'm telling you, he's the righteous, justice God who created you and me. He is the creator. You better have a lot of respect and humility for him in the name of Jesus, right? But these are consequences. And by the way, these are consequences that you cause because you chose to disbelieve. This is why we have to walk in knowledge. This is why we obey and pray through obedience. I just taught on that. This is why we have to go and ask the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be upon our minds and our hearts in the name of Jesus. Amen. Verse seven. In the which ye also walked followed some time when you lived in them. See, we used to be like King Zedekiah. We used to be like the enemies running from Joshua. Not any longer. I'm a mighty warrior of God and intercessory prayer behind the scenes. You may not even know it. You don't even know I'm praying for you, but I am. And I'm being very cunning and aware about my prayer, too. This is a job and a responsibility that you can do too if you choose to do it. Amen. Verse 58 in Matthew 13:58. And he did not me many mighty works there because of their unbelief. See, unbelief affects your entire atmosphere around you. You see, when you don't believe in something, God's miracles can't prevail. Look at this. He says there were not many works there. There were not many mighty works there. Then mighty works by the way is the force or the miraculous powers the whole you know the healings and and if you read the gospels you will find that Jesus was healing a lot of pe people. But in this particular situation he wasn't because they didn't believe. In fact I think when he um uh delivered the guy from the demon of legion is when he went and started telling everyone look what God has done for me and then they believed. So he that had that's what the situation is. You can go read that and do a little extra homework. But your unbelief is affecting your surroundings. If you're wondering why you're not getting answers to prayer, and I just taught on this a few weeks ago, is because you're sending mixed messages to God. You don't believe the miracle could happen. But you go up and get prayed thinking, "Okay, it's going to happen." But you're not believing it. You're not saying, "God, I'm having trouble here with this, but I'm going to go do it anyways." because you want to be obedient, but you're having trouble with it. And God has to work in here as well as in here in order for you to walk in godliness and righteousness and to have faith because you you can be healed. You can be delivered. Prayer can be answered. And prayer does work. I promise you that. I've seen it work so much in my life. I've seen it work in other people's lives. Prayer works. It transforms a person because we're allowing the Holy Spirit in to move in that person's heart and mind. It's all the battle's done behind the scenes. This is why we're called intercessory prayers. We're interceding on your behalf. Verse 8 in Colossians 3. We're back at Colossians 3 now. But now ye also put off all these anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Everything that we do and everything that we're in has a consequence of the result of what the words we spoke. If you think you're going to win a million dollars because you want b went and bought one lottery ticket and you're like, you know what, I'm believing that and and you know what? It can happen. You you can definitely win that million dollars because you walked in with with belief. It's like the only ticket you ever buy, you went in and you just bought it and said, "Lord, I'm giving this to you and it could happen now. For someone like me, I'd be like, "Uh, no." And see, I don't believe it. You know, the Bible tells us we need to work for our food. We're not going to just be handed a million dollars. But that's my belief. Your belief can be totally different. He says, "If you believe enough to move this mountain out of the way, the mountain will move." Well, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't because it's my level of belief. It's what I've learned. I have to unlearn things that I learned growing up. It was so easy to call the doctor's office, make an appointment, go in and get the little pill that will take care of the symptom. What I found out though, and I did learn this, is I want the root taken care of. And in order to have the root symptoms, the root of the problem that's causing the symptoms to be taken care of, I had to go to God. It's like taking my Rolls-Royce to a Jify Lube. Why do I want to go to the hospital or a doctor's office to take care of something when I'm a Rolls-Royce? I should be taking it back to my creator and let him find the problem and fix it. And nine out of 10en times it has to do with unbelief and it has to do with the hardness of the heart and it has to do with my spirit. Has nothing to do with the physical because the physical manifests what's in the spiritual. Been teaching on that too. Binding and loosing. I just taught that. We got a lot of teachings on that on the House of Faith Ministries website as well. You can go check it out. But he's telling us in our mouth to put off these things. There's anger, which is violent passion. There's wrath or fierceness, indignation. You know what? When you you're right. Oh, that person was wrong and they should apologize to you and you're not going to give. Well, that is fierceness and indign indignation. Guess what? You got to get it out of you. You got to let it go. Yeah, you're right. But why don't you forgive them and and dissolve the whole thing? And that way both of you are saved. Just cuz you're And by the way, just cuz you're right doesn't mean anything in the long term of things. You're still going to either end up in heaven or end up in hell, depending on the circumstance and situation of what you're at, whether you got saved or not. But if you're a believer and you're walking in that there there physical consequences that are going to manifest out of your body. Sores, cancer, pain, ache, suffering. You don't want that. It ain't worth it. I promise you that. I don't care how right you are. It ain't worth it. Let it go. Just let it go. Make your life a whole lot better. And he's telling us to cast that out. Uh malice. Well, that's just simple badness. You know how many people walk across uh like a train platform? I see this in the New York uh news often. There's somebody walking around push somebody in front of a train. You can't do that. They just did it. Or push someone out in front of a car, push someone off a bridge. Uh there was a video u and this went to court. This friend pushed her friend off the edge of a cliff so she can finally jump into the water below. and it was like 60 ft. The friend survived with several broken bones, but she ended up going to jail for it was a short amount of time, too. I thought, man, our justice, we need to pray for our justice system. By the way, I'm just stepping into these prayers. Just because you're not seeing the results yet, that doesn't mean it's not going to happen. And if we get more people that are praying like what I'm praying or praying the way the Holy Spirit teaches you how to pray, then we're going to see the power of God move. Amen. But we need to put off badness. We have to stop blaspheming or vilifying something else. We have to take responsibilities for our issues. And then we have to stop filthy communication. That is vile conversation. Cursing someone, man, so and so just needs to go to hell. Yeah, people say that kind of stuff. You cannot say that. You have to get it out of your mouth. So, we're trying to teach you here to walk in knowledge. This is part of it. It means you need to have the gift of the Holy Spirit of self-control over your mouth, over your behavior, over your attitude. And we need more self-control in the world. Amen. Simple as that. So, he's teaching us how to do this in Colossians 3. Now, we're in verse 9. Lie not to one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds. Okay, look at this. Lie not to utter untruth. Don't lie to people. Don't lie to anyone. Don't lie. God hates lying, by the way. He hates it profusely. He hates it. He doesn't like it at all. Just just don't lie. Simple as that. And he says, uh, seeing that ye have put off. See, now he's talking about what you've done. You have de dvested wholly oneself. You desoiled yourself. You had let go of all of those things. Anger because you're forgiving. When you're forgiving and you have the attitude forgive is awesome. Take a look at what Hamas has done. I I can't say the atrocities here, but and I don't want to say the atrocities that they've done, but they've done some vile things. I mean, horrific to the people of Israel that they went in and invaded there. Ask yourself, can you forgive them of that? Can you forgive someone who raped you if you're a a victim of rape? Can you forgive the person who got you hooked on drugs? If you can do that, God can work with you because now he's realizing and you're realizing that you're trying to change your inside man and you've done that. Which means don't go back to badness or lying and letting your mouth control you. No. Now use it for good. He says, and look at these are practiced. See, he says the old man with his deeds practice. You've always practiced these things in the past because that's who you were. You would say these fleeting thoughts that you shouldn't have. Well, now it's time to practice the new the new stuff, the living word of God, scripture, apply scripture, and see you can do that if you know what the scripture is because you've been reading it in this secret place with the Lord. You have to do it and you got to practice it. And sometimes you have to focus on trying to memorize the scripture or write it down so that it sticks with you. Whatever you got to do, you know you and you know how you would remember it. Put a a little rhyme in there or put a little tune with it. Something to help you remember it. But you can remember the living word of God. Amen. Verse 10. And have put on a new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. All right. This is what's so powerful. This is why I called this message walking in knowledge because I want you to understand something here. He says you put on the new man and it is renovated. You have been renovated by what? In knowledge after the likeness of him, God that created me or you. This is what I'm talking about. You find the knowledge and you you you find I don't want my kids to suffer. I want them to be blessed. I don't want them to be cursed. I want to do better for myself because I love the Lord and I love what he does. He is such a good person. So, I do my best to be obedient and to go find the knowledge of the living word of God so that I can walk in it every day in my prayer life, in my Bible study life, in teaching the word of God, in sharing testimony to people around me. That is how God moves. So, I need to make certain my mouth is renovated. My body is renovated in the name of Jesus Christ, the living God. This is how you do that. So, and you put on the image of God because you're made in his image. And now you've been renovated back into his image. That's awesome. Look at this. And then verse 11. where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, githian, bond nor free, but Christ is all and in all. So when let's talk about that forgiveness of of um Hamas and these the acts that they did that were horrific. If you can forgive them and let that go, you have a self-control upon you and you should be following God. You are now in his likeness. Do you want to know why? Because he loves that person, a murderer, a killer. Uh he loves anyone just as much as he loves me. You mean God loved Hitler, too? Yes, he did. He didn't love the deeds. He just he loved the man and he hoped he would get saved. And you know what? If Hitler called out to God and asked Jesus to save him before he offed himself, he might be in heaven. You never know. This is why we can't ponder these things. We have to look at ourselves and realize that if God loves me, and it's not because of my actions, by the way. He simply loves me because he can love a terrorist just as much as he loves me. If God can love me and he loves them, then we need to love them, too. This is why we need to practice forgiveness and praying in the spirit of forgiveness and letting go and casting away because it's not you can be as good as you want. It will do you no good. It is not by your might. It is not by your will. But it is by God's spirit in the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh, hallelujah. This is a good message. Verse 12. Put on therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, knowledge or excuse me, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. So now he's giving us another list of things that we can follow. So put off all that anger, fierce, wrath, what have you. And look at now he says, "Put this on. You're the favorite chosen of God." You see, now God, he God loves a terrorist as much as he loves me. But my actions say God I I'm his favorite because I'm chosen by him. That terrorist is not his favorite. Anyone doing evil deeds is not God's favorite. He's going to hope and try to get you saved, but you're not his favorite if you're following badness or evilness. So this is where we come in now. Putting on the righteousness of God, putting on these things that Paul is listening for us, listing for us. And when we go walking in that, we have the favor of the Lord upon us. Oh, hallelujah. And that's what we want. Oh, you guys got to get that. You want the favor of the Lord upon your life. Not for the goodies, just because you can have a beautiful relationship with your creator. He is awesome. He created us. He allowed me to be born and live today and to choose him. How awesome is that? Oh, we got to get that. We got to get that. So, we got to put on. Look at this. The bowels inward affection. You see, you got to have that affection on the inside. This is why even if you don't feel like it, you do the act of obedience and you speak the word. I'm going to forgive those terrorists, Lord. I don't want to. And I'm telling you straight up, I don't want to, but I'm asking you to help me change my heart. And I wept the other day when I was in prayer for Hamas because these people have no idea what they're doing. Or if they do, they they've chosen the wrong side. Oh, we got to pray for these people. You see, God changes your inside to begin to pray and minister to those around us that are walking in anger and hatred, bitterness, especially, let's say it's one of your friends and they're talking about so- and so, you know what, try to change the subject. Put on there, you know, hey, how about um how about God and what he's doing? I I see that he's moving over here at this church or this university. I see revival happening over here. Why don't we go to that? And they might look at you and they may reject you at that point, but that's on them. But behind the scenes, if you were praying for them in advance, you might get through them. You might reap the harvest there, but you got to be ready for it. This is what we're talking about. getting the knowledge of God, walking in the spirit of discernment, in this boldness, in this confidence, and knowing what to say, when to say, how to say it, and have pity on others, kindness, you know, kindness is just moral excellence, humbleness of mind. You're need you need to be modest. I mean, I got a great relationship with the Lord, but I'm not going to go and and tout that in front of you. I'm not here to do that, okay? I'm here to show you how much I love you and how much I love God and that we can all have God in our lives. Amen. Amen. Meekness, which is gentleness, longsuffering, that's forbearance and fortitude. These are the things we need to have. We have to be persistent. You know, I think it was yesterday uh I uh yeah, I think it was yesterday. I um went to the Lord and I said, "You know what, Lord? I'm going to keep praying the same thing over and over again like that lady did to the judge in um in the Gospels because you taught us how to be persistent. And I'm going to nag. I nag for salvation. I nag for uh revelation, revival, repentance. I'm nagging for it all Lord in the name of Jesus. This is why this is how you become cunning and aware of how to pray because you start applying the scriptures and you're you're walking in the steps that God has showed us how to walk in through his word. Why? Because you purposed in your heart to go live it. Look at it, read it, study it, and get it deep down inside of you. That's what we need. Hallelujah. Verse 13, forbearing. Hold oneself up against bear with endurance suffering. That's what that whole forbearing means is to hold oneself up against whatever it is that you're facing. To bear with endurance that you bear it, you suffer it. You're suffering one another and forgiving, pardoning, rescuing one another if any man has a quarrel or a blame against any. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye forgive them. They have a complaint against you. They blame you for something. That's the accuser, by the way. That's the devil. You see, a lot of people like to do the devil's job for him. And I'm going to tell you, stop. Looks better on him than it does on you. God loves you so much that he wants to save you. So, stop blaming. And see, if we're in the behind the scenes, we're praying for these individuals. We're praying that they don't blame one another, that they don't accuse one another, but we're praying and asking for mercy and forgiveness and humbleness upon them, and that they get the knowledge of the word of God so they can walk in obedience in the word. And by the way, if they see you doing it, it's an awesome testimony because you know I there's a gal I used to work with and uh she believes in Allah. She's a Muslim or Islam. And she saw me in my relationship with the Lord, reading my Bible and praying every day for at lunch on my lunch break for the food and whatever. She got actually closer to God it through Allah just because of that. People watch you and see you. And I'm not, you know, I don't promote Islam because, you know, Jesus is the living word of God. But she at least saw it and responded to it. And that to me is amazing. Now I pray and I'm praying every day that she finds Jesus the son of God. And I'm hoping for it, too. And I believe that it's going to happen because I know that she was a very religious person because she wanted to be. She She recognizes the power that's behind the scenes in prayer and having a relationship with God. She recognized that. She knows but this is what you have to do. So you got to forgive and then above all these things put on charity and that is affection benevolence which is the bond. It's a uniting principle of perfew awesome. This is how we become complete in him. And when we become complete because we're walking in knowledge, we become cunning, aware Christians. And we are individuals who give God the glory, honor, praise, and strength. And we are the ones behind the scene interceding for everything. Every church service, every Bible study, every person in our neighborhood, every person in the government, every person in Israel and and Jerusalem, we're praying the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus. Jesus, you're over this person who has cancer. They will not have cancer anymore. We're breaking that cancer. We're breaking the curses. I atone for them. I am being the priest or the priestess to them, Father God, in the name of Jesus. This is walking in knowledge with God. This is what we need to be doing in the name of Jesus. Amen. Verse 15. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the which also ye are called in one body. And be ye thankful. Let's let's delve into this because see this is now the attitude that we should be having behind the scenes. Peace and where does peace come from God. It's a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace. That's the fruit of the spirit. So peace comes from the Holy Spirit. And that word peace by the way means prosperity, quietness, and rest. You want to be prosperous, prosperous in your spirit, in reaping the harvest. Yes. Prosperous in your finances. Abraham was rich. King David and Solomon were rich. These are people that were well off in the name of Jesus and they served the Lord still. So don't think that you can't be blessed. And I don't want you to limit yourself and put yourself in a box or to put God in a box about that. You have the right to believe in prosperity. The issue is is you got to make sure that God fixes your heart so that it doesn't own you but that you own it. Amen. You see, you got to get that right. And then of God rule arbitrate. So we and let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Meaning let God arbitrate because see our hearts have to go up to the justice system to the courtroom where God is because God operates in the law. He has a principle and everything is there in order. He made an order for it. But the moment you forgive. Oh, you're not acc You can't be accused of that anymore. No, no, wipe that all off. You're clean. And the devil's shouting over there, "No, no, no. That person's evil. That person deserves hell." And Jesus said, "No, I forgave them." And and God looks back down. No, I see the blood of Jesus over that person. They're saved. And the devil is so rattled by it. That is what arbitration is, folks. You get into the presence of the Lord because you're in the sacred place. You're praying and you're reading his word and you're having the relationship. You're letting him rule your heart. Arbitrate your heart because he's telling you you're forgiven and you're saying, "I believe it. I take it. I even forgive myself." Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Previous Next Home

  • PRAY FOR THE USA | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

Say this prayer out loud: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up the United States of America from the highest to the lowest to Your throne room and I forgive it of its iniquities, the sins America has committed, the curses against America, the curses spoken from America, and the sins of the land America sits on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose the United States of America; the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in the United States of America ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” Father God, I bless the United States of America with open ears, eyes, hearts, and minds to see, hear, receive, and believe the living Word of God because you state in Mark 4:12 KJV “12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” I pray in hope that they see and perceive, hear and understand so they would believe in Jesus the Son of the living God! And Heavenly Father, I bless the United States of America with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless the United States of America with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in the hearts of the people of the United States of America to forgive and reconcile the nation back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray that the United States of America is restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law” manifests within the hearts of the people in the United States of America. I pray that the gifts of the holy spirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ”: would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God moves through each of us so that we know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen!PRAY FOR THE USA PRAY FOR THE USA PRAY FOR THE USA Say this prayer out loud: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up the United States of America from the highest to the lowest to Your throne room and I forgive it of its iniquities, the sins America has committed, the curses against America, the curses spoken from America, and the sins of the land America sits on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose the United States of America; the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in the United States of America ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. • LOVE IN DOCTRINE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

LOVE IN DOCTRINE The objective of this message is to teach the foundational truth of salvation as revealed in scripture, emphasizing that it is entirely the work of God through Jesus Christ and not dependent on man-made doctrines, rituals, or works. The message seeks to encourage believers to demonstrate the love of Christ in doctrine by confessing Him, defending Him, and sharing the gift of salvation through love rather than fear or rigid traditions. < Back LOVE IN DOCTRINE Minister Lisa Kane April 2, 2023 Objective: The objective of this message is to teach the foundational truth of salvation as revealed in scripture, emphasizing that it is entirely the work of God through Jesus Christ and not dependent on man-made doctrines, rituals, or works. The message seeks to encourage believers to demonstrate the love of Christ in doctrine by confessing Him, defending Him, and sharing the gift of salvation through love rather than fear or rigid traditions. Synopsis: In Love in Doctrine, Lisa Kane opens with Psalm 38, declaring that salvation belongs to the Lord. She contrasts God’s simple plan of salvation with human tendencies to complicate it through rules, rituals, and doctrines. Drawing on Luke 23:39–43, she highlights the thief on the cross, who confessed his sin, defended Jesus, and received salvation without water baptism, works, or rituals—demonstrating the pure essence of grace. She then explores John 9, where a man born blind was healed by Jesus. Though initially ignorant of who Jesus was, he defended Him before the Pharisees, confessed his faith when confronted by Christ, and was saved. This account illustrates that salvation comes through confession and belief, not adherence to rigid traditions or fear-based teaching. Lisa warns against strange doctrines and emphasizes the necessity of love, referencing 1 John 4:18—perfect love casts out fear. She encourages believers to demonstrate God’s love through action, prayer, and compassion rather than rules or condemnation. The message also looks ahead prophetically, reminding listeners that the current age of grace is coming to an end, urging all to confess and defend Jesus Christ as Lord before it is too late. Ultimately, Love in Doctrine calls the church to move in the Spirit, edify one another, and present the gospel in the fullness of God’s love—drawing people to Christ not by terror, but by the demonstration of His perfect love and grace. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Love in Doctrine. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we thank you for your blessings on it. We pray for your anointing on it. We pray that we have the hearts open to receive and to believe and to demonstrate your love in doctrine to show what true salvation is. and that basics of the salvation that we now know belongs to you and is of you and only you, Father God. So, let us have the heart to demonstrate that love so that we can bless others with the gift of salvation that you've given us, Lord. In the glorious, wonderful name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God. Amen. Before I begin here, I we're in the process of getting ready to move and move to Missouri. So, we will be moving probably the end of June. So, we're gonna have open house here soon. So, there's changes going on all around here. So, anyways, I'm hoping that you guys uh the sound quality and the lighting is okay. It's going to be a little echoey. And then, of course, I've got the door open because it's a beautiful spring day. The temperature, I believe, is um like it was 69 or 70 degrees earlier, so very, very pleasant. So, anyways, let's get into it. Let's go to our opening scripture here. Psalm 38. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon your people. Hallelujah. Your salvation belong salvation belongs to the Lord. You know, it is so amazing how we want to take salvation to the next level. Take a look at the Philippines and they're going to be doing this right about this time of the year because we're coming into uh resurrection day next Sunday. This is Palm Sunday. And what they do is they actually put themselves up on a cross and they they crucify themselves. although they live through it, they take them down before they there's serious harm. But the point is is they feel the need to be able to demonstrate what Jesus did. Every one of us has something where we want to do something for God or we we feel that we need to do something for our salvation. Well, you know what? I'm going to tell you biblically speaking, there's nothing we can do. It's all God's salvation. Now, if we want to choose to live for Christ, that's that's what we can do. And I hope I can encourage that and bring that across to you in this message. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you two men that were saved by Jesus and show you how the salvation works and how you can receive. Amen. So, we're going to start here at the cross actually for Palm Sunday. Isn't that amazing? We're in Luke 23:39-43. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us." But the other answering rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise." Oh, how beautiful this demonstration of salvation is. So, what I want to show you is is compare this to some doctrines that exist out there. Now, I am not going to name doctrines. I am not going to bring any of that here. You're already familiar with it. either you've taught it or you've heard it taught to you or you tr you live by it right now. Well, we're going to show you some of the basics and compare the scripture to doctrine. So, if you notice here, there was something very very neat here that this man did. So, you've got this one criminal. Okay? So, here's Jesus. He's on the cross and he's got two other people on the side of them. Now, they're being this is a curse. So these two criminals got caught uh as thieves. They were stealing and they got caught and they were being crucified with Jesus. So the three of them are being killed at the same time. This is how they do that back in those days. And this one criminal starts mocking God while he's up on the cross. And the the the criminal that defends Jesus says, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you're under the same condemnation? We're all in the same boat here. What do you think is gonna happen next? Yeah. In other words, you better get your mind right with God now because you're about to die. But this guy's mocking Jesus like it's no big deal. But you know, he he you know what this criminal does is he defends Jesus because what does he do next? He says, "Hey, we're the ones, look at this, he confesses his sins. He says, "We indeed justly for we receive the due rewards of our deeds." In other words, we deserve to die. We were criminals. So, he confesses this right here. And then he goes even further to say, "But this man has done nothing wrong. He defended Jesus." And he recognized something here because look what he says next. Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And then Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today you will be with me in paradise." This man, this thief, this criminal, a confessed criminal gets saved by the salvation, the grace and the mercy that Jesus has for us. He is saved. That is absolutely incredible. So what? Let's compare it to doctrine. Now, did he get water baptized? No. Did he get baptized by the Holy Spirit? No. Did he get off the cross, go door to door knocking on people's doors to be saved? There's no scripture to support that at all. He did not get back off that cross. He died. He died on that cross with Jesus. He was saved and he wasn't There's a lot of doctrine that tells you you have to be baptized by the Holy Spirit or or waterbaptized to be saved. That's not true. That is not scriptural. That is the enemy sneaking things in there because man, human want to put rules and regulations in place where Jesus says, "All I'm asking you to do is confess and defend." Hallelujah. So, this is where the basic of salvation is. It's at this level where all you've got to do is defend Jesus and confess that you're a sinner and you need him. You see, this is what this man on the cross did. And he got saved. And he never went and lived for Christ. He never had the opportunity to do any of that. And in essence, he was saved by the hair on his chinny chin chin. Hallelujah. So now there's another man that went through the same thing. And this is found in John nine. So I'm going to go through John nine, the bulk of the chapter, but just in pieces as we talk about it. But I encourage you again, do some homework and read about this whole man's life here in John chapter nine. Amen. So let's go. We're going to start here in John chapter nine. We're looking at verses 1-5 in the beginning here. So now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. Look at what his disciples did. And his disciples asked him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" So pause here for a moment. It is a known fact. And it is scriptural that the consequence of sin are diseases and sicknesses inside our bodies. In fact, that's what kills us. We're dying. So even though we're aging, we're going to eventually die due to age. But that corrupts the flesh. Aging corrupts the flesh. So here, this man was born blind. So everyone thinks what is natural somebody sinned and cause causes to happen. Jesus says, "Not look at this." He says, "Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents did, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." So Jesus says, "This was done on purpose. Oh, imagine this man. Oh, you thinking about the beginning of your lives and the woe woe is me. Wo was that because I have no in fact I don't think he wasn't just blind. I think he was born without eye sockets altogether. But either way here this man spin and I he's a young man. Uh I'm guessing somewhere's around the age of 20 and he is just he he's been born this way. And so Jesus decides to heal him. He he mixes clay. Go read the scripture. I'm not going to bring these scriptures out, otherwise it'll be too long of a message. But he takes the clay, spits in it, puts it on his eyes, and tells him to go wash. The man washes, and voila, he's got eyes. He can see. Now, let's look what happened next because wow, you would think this is an absolute wonderful miracle. Who cares who did it? No, no, no. This is like uh let's get into scripture. Uh, let's not get uh go down a rap trail here. Verse 13, they brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. This is now this is what I was going to say. When you go into, let's say, the government grills like recently the CEO of Tik Tok. So, they go after you don't think this, don't you? This is Satan. That's what the Pharisees and the Sadducees are doing. And you know what? It's nothing new under the sun. They're still doing it today. But anyways, let's come back and look at this. It says, "Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes." Rule. There's a rule in place. I'm gonna pause here for just a quick moment because I need you to hear this. Take a look at all the denominations that exist in the world today. Take a look at all the denominations that have existed in the past but don't exist today or how dead they are today. Why? because they put rules in place that they could not allow themselves to accept the new wine from God because God just explained the basics of salvation. And here the church is trying to tell you we have to do this, you have to do that, you and no, salvation is confession and defending Jesus. The basics is there. You get saved just by doing that. Yes, we want people to live for God. Yes, you have a calling on your life. Yes, you have blessings and promises that you can grab on to and hold to because that's what God tells his people that are saved. Then you make that choice to do that. But that's not a requirement to get into heaven. Understand that. Understand that big difference here. And I want you to see that. Now, let's continue on here. He says it was the Sabbath. So verse 15, then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, he put clay on my eyes and I washed and I see. Therefore, some of the Pharisees says, "This man is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath." There's that rule again. Others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such things?" And there was a division among them. So one, they think Jesus is a sinner because we're all sinners. So they didn't see him as a son of God. They missed that. Two, they had these rules and regulations in place that, oh, don't you dare hear. This man's been blind for 20 years. What the rule is? You got to wait one more day because you can't do it on the Sabbath. Well, you know what? This man needs relief now. He needs healing now. He might not make it to the next day. So, you can see how hard the Pharisees and the Sadducees are. And you can compare that to some churches and some doctrines. So you have to be very careful. Now that doesn't mean you go and accuse them and hate them or do a bad review on them. No. What you do is you go to God. Say, "God, these people need a change. Help them. Open their eyes to see." You see, now you start doing p prayer. And prayer is so powerful. It changes things like that. This is why we have revivals from time to time because the Lord is pouring out a new wine in that person who finally lets go of all the restrictions. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on and see what what else happens here. So now the Pharisees go. So now they're going to go ask the parents about this blind man. Look at this. His parents answered them, said, "We know that our that this is our son and that he was born blind. But by what means he now sees, we do not know. Or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself." His parents said these things because they feared the Jews. For the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that he was Christ the Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue. Now, you see what's going on here? Christ the Messiah. They're now saying, "This guy's not the Messiah. He's not the son of God. And if you dare say he is, we're kicking you out of the synagogue." So these parents are like, "Well, let's put it back. Go back and talk to our son. We don't know what happened. We weren't there." So here the Pharisees are grilling, grilling, grilling. They went after the parents. Guess what? They go back to the the the blind man. Look at this. This is verse 24. So they again called a man who was blind and said to him, "Give God the glory. We know that this man is a sinner." And he answered and said, "Whether he's a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know that though I was blind, I now see." Then they said to him again, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?" He answered them, "I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?" Okay, this kid, young man, has defended Christ. Notice he's not a believer. He doesn't know who Jesus is. He has not confessed his sins. He has not done anything that he is defending Jesus because he was healed. And these Pharisees are making a mockery of it. And he says, "No, no, no, no." And then he goes, "What is it? What's wrong with you? Do you want to be his disciple?" Oh, I promise you that ticked them off. They're livid. Now, let's continue and see what else happens here. Verse 34. Now, they answered and said to him, "You are completely born in sins and are you teaching us because he went back and he was sharing what Jesus did and he's telling them what's going on." And now they're mad. You're trying to teach us. We're the ones who know what's going on. Yeah, right. They don't. They're missing the whole point. Look at this. And they cast him out. So now they cast him out completely. He's out of the synagogue. You must be a believer in Christ because you're not part of us because you broke the rules and you shouldn't have been healed. I mean, that's the reality of what these guys are saying. What a joke these Pharisees and Sadducees are. This is why Jesus called them a brood of vipers. Oh man. Oh, I would have been standing there next to him applauding. But I live today and I didn't live then. So, and this is hindsight of course as I see this. Let's continue on and see what happens. Now, Jesus heard, this is verse 35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out. And when he found him, so he went and found the blind man. Says, when he found him, he said to him, "Do you believe in the son of God?" Now, look at watch this dialogue. Watch what this blind man who's now seeing says. He says, he answered and said, "Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?" And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen him, and it is he who is talking with you." Then the blind man said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped him. He was saved. He believed. He believed that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He had been talking to him. He asked Jesus directly. Jesus answered him directly, "You're talking to the son of God." "Well, then I believe." So, he confessed. Well, he defended Jesus first as a non-confessor, then he confessed Jesus and he believed. Look at what Paul says about in Romans, Romans 10:9, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I've taught so much on that message, that verse alone. It is incredible. But there's the basics of salvation. That is what I'm talking about. He confessed, he believed, and he was saved. So now you see these two men, one on the cross, and one here in everyday life that was blind, got healed. And by the way, he was healed and he wasn't a believer. Please understand, you don't need to be healed and be a believer, too. You You don't. God wants to heal everybody. and he will because that's what he wants to do. He wants to bless you. He wants to bring you into the fold that sometimes some people need a healing in order to believe. Now look at what John says in the epistle 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, but because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love. When you're trying to teach by a doctrine that goes against the very basics of the scriptures, you're pouring terror and fear into the people. And let me give you a word of advice. People nowadays are so desensitized by everything that's going on and they're playing all these video games. Fear does not affect them anymore. But look at the epistle here. He says, "There is no fear in love." Imagine. I get it. There are some people that will never live for Christ. That's okay. As long as they believe that Jesus is the son of God and confess that they're a sinner, they're saved. Wouldn't it be better to get them saved that way? Even if they choose not to live for Christ, to get them saved that way, we can have less people go to hell. I do not wish anyone to go to hell. This is why I'm trying to teach this message because I'm hoping that eyes will open and ears will hear. I rather they get saved even if they choose not to live for Christ. By the way, choosing to live for Christ is a choice. You choose whether you want to do that or not. And that's up to you and God. Now, I encourage you to choose to live for God because there are promises and blessings where one, when you're spending time with God, you're not in sin. Sin runs because you're in the presence of God. Two, there are no sicknesses in the presence of God, which means you're healed. These are the blessings and the promises you get to live and you have the blessing of a long life. You can go years living for Christ and be so content with God, be at peace and have that joy, all that that that stuff that surpasses every everybody's understanding. And they're going to look at you and they're going to see you as a walking testimony. That is how you minister and show them the love of God so they can believe. Cuz right now the world is hard and selfish and they're living in darkness. When they see you different, they come back and say, "Wow, what is it that you have?" When they ask, you get to tell them who you have. The precious gem of Jesus. Let me share you, share him with you. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on in Hebrews 13:es 8 and 9. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. You see, we eat spiritual food when you're in the word of God. But when you're eating the world's food, you're not in the presence of God. And so what happens is you're and here's another promise and a blessing that you have. You get to see false doctrine when you're spending time with God. So when you're not though, you can get easily confused and dissuade. And I I encourage you to spend time with Christ. But it takes just confession and just defending him as the son of God, declaring Jesus Christ as the son of God. And let me just also tell you another blessing here. Salvation is coming to an end. This age, this era that we're in, which is called the dispensation of grace, is ending. We have what's called a seven-year tribulation period coming in for the Israelites because God is not done dealing with the Israelites. Well, on day one, known as the day of the Lord or the day of wrath, that day, salvation ends. I don't know what time. I don't know where it's going to be on that day, but what I do know is that when you enter into the seven-year tribulation, if you do not call Jesus as the son of God, you will most likely die in that seven-year tribulation. Why? Because men that survive it will be finer than gold over gold. I'm guessing it's going to be less than 10 people that survive the seven-year tribulation, just like the days of Noah. Noah, there was eight of them. That's all they survived. And that's all God needed to repopulate the earth. And he will repopulate the earth for the thousand-y year millennium. So, this is very, very key, very important. You're most likely going to die during that seven-year tribulation, but you can't avoid it. So, before that day or on that day, as long as you declare that Jesus Christ is the son of God and you believe, you're saved. that and confess and let God know you're a sinner. Let him know you messed up. It's okay because guess what? We were all born into sin and we've all messed up. And some of us have done worse things than others. That's still okay because God Jesus has love for you that is so abounding, so bountiful that he just he loves you so much. He wants to save you no matter what. Amen. He wants to save you no matter what. This is how God moves. And this is how you can avoid hell. Amen. Amen. Amen. Oh, I I encourage you. Confess and defend Jesus right now. Hebrews 4 1-6. I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Now, I want you to see the difference about walking with Christ and choosing Christ as your Lord and Savior for the rest of your life. That the man on the cross did not get to have that opportunity. But I'm telling you, his death might have been a little more peaceful than the other one. He had a mental stability that held him together as he went through that, whereas the other man didn't. This is how it is when you choose to live for Christ first. You put him first in your life. Look at what happens. Look at the what is our worthy of calling here with which you were called. Look at verse two. With all loneliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. You see how God changes the inside of us? We become like him. Longsufferers. We see the frustration of the world. But love them. You do it in love with in bearing with one another in love. Look at verse three. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit just as you were called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, one Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all. Hallelujah. The moment you do this, God, you allow him to change you. You allow the spirit of God, the breath, the numa to move you in ways. He moves your conscience. He changes it. You're no longer selfish. You're no longer living to the world because you put God first and you get his promises and benefits as a result of that. That is the God we serve. Hallelujah. Let's continue in verse seven. But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore, he says when he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and he gave gifts to men. Now, verse nine. Now, this he ascended, what does it mean that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? God came down for you, knowing full well you're dirty, stinky, and you're in sin. But he came down anyways. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He who descended is also the one who ascended far above the heavens that he might fill all things. He ascended. He rose from the dead. He is alive and well. This is why we celebrate Palm Sunday and resurrection day because he came out of that grave. He is not dead and no other religion can say that about anyone. This is the relig. This is Christianity is not a religion. It it is a um something that offends so many people and causes strife and division which Jesus said that's why I came that the world might be saved. Hallelujah. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. You see, you have a calling on your life. Now, you can choose to walk away. It is your choice. Isn't that even more better? You have the choice. And know that God is there for you. He will keep you. Now, he will send you curses. He will even send you the devil to get your attention if you far you stray far off the path. He will go after you. He ain't giving up on you. Amen. And look at verse 12. For the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And that's exactly what we need to be doing, edifying one another, encouraging one another, lifting up one another. And imagine you getting edified by somebody else. And you're working under unity, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Do you know that when you go into the beginning of Acts and you read how the first church started? They started under the direction of the Holy Spirit, not a pastor. So today's church isn't even set up right yet because God is getting ready to pour out his new wine skin. And the anointing of the Holy Spirit is getting everybody ready. He's getting the bride of Christ ready. So we're going to have this new wine skin on us. And our master is the Holy Spirit. We're going to be move. And what's the spirit? That's the breath that moves us. That's what changes our conscience, our soul. And because it moves us and changes us, we get ready to edify and go into ministry to save more because there's a lot of people in this world. Amen. Let's continue on there because that is very powerful. Uh till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God to a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That is verse 13. By the way, I left off the one. My humble apologies. Verse 14. That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. but speaking the truth in love may grow up in all things into him who is the head Christ from whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies according to the effective working by which every part does its share causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Do you see that the love there? How that is such a critical ingredient to moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So here church and I do speak to the bride of Christ. Stop trying to terrorize people to get saved. Show them the love because the love will cast out fear. Perfect love will draw them in. You know honey draws in more than you will ever know. They want people are craving love. Look at people who walk around with help animals or um anyways the animals that do help them. Uh they need that because they feel insecure and they need an animal to be there. Well, in Christ you don't need an animal. You need Christ. And with Christ, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. There is no fear. It is perfect love. And when people see you acting, operating, moving, and speaking those words, they humble themselves and they they're like, "How do I get that? That's how you minister. That's how you get them saved." And as we're evangelizing, this is how we do it. Through his perfect love. Oh, hallelujah. Look at in Titus 3:4. But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward men appear, toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness. And by the way, it says, "But when the kindness and the love of God, our savior toward man appeared." That is Jesus. That is Jesus going to the cross. That is when he appeared. Like it says here, not by works of righteousness, which we have done because that's what we do. We try to do things in righteousness by mankind. I got the right way, Lord. No, you don't. Let the Holy Spirit do it because I can't save anybody. it. I can't do that. Why? Because it is the spirit. It's not by might. It's not by power. But it is by my spirit, says the Lord. Hallelujah. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. This is what he did on the cross. And he did it with perfect love. That is the love example that we should do. We should sacrifice our time for people. We should sacrifice our food to help people. This is how you live in love for Christ. You demonstrate the love of God and you move in that because the anointing of the Holy Spirit is the numa, the power, and he moves through you, causing you. If you see somebody who is walking around outside of a gas station, they look lost and confused, missing a shoe, they look homeless, and they probably stink. Go to them. They need your help. If they don't want to take it, you pray for them and you keep praying for them until they're saved. That is how this works. And you've got the power prayer. You're more powerful than our government. Your prayer is more powerful than our government. You're the more powerful person as the as a person saved by Christ. So take up your promises and your blessings and pray them forth not just for yourself but for others who need it so that they can confess and defend Jesus as their Lord and Savior and become believers and choose to walk for Christ. Hallelujah. What a beautiful blessing of a message this is. We are blessed by having the word of God, the holy living word of God, the Bible, as our doctrine. And we're not getting mixed up and confused. As long as you put that helmet of salvation on, snap it under your chin, it ain't going anywhere. And the devil's doctrine won't enter your brain. Hallelujah. Oh, how I encourage you to stand up for love and stand up for the Messiah, the son of God. confess Jesus as the son of God because he is. And then tell him, "Yeah, I know you're the son of God and I'm told that you can save. I'm asking you to save me because I'm a sinner." Oh, hallelujah. That is saving people. And I hope that you begin to do it and be bold and do it with confidence. Look at the boldness of the thief on the cross. Lord, remember me when you enter your kingdom. And Jesus says, "I promise you, I will see you at paradise tonight." Oh, how precious and beautiful salvation is. And I truly hope that each and every one of us can put aside what we think is doctrine and righteousness and the proper way to get people saved and just simply say, "Jesus is the son of God and I was a sinner. He saved me." That's what confession is all about. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for opening our eyes and ears to see and hear. We thank you. We pray and ask for your perfect love to reside in us. That we may demonstrate that love and that we may be able to get people saved even if it's just by the skin of their teeth or the hair on their chinny chin chin. Lord, we thank you for your living word. We thank you for the confession that you've given us, the the free gift that you've given us by going and redeeming us and saving us by the blood of Jesus. By your blood on that cross, thank you. Thank you for the remission of sins. Lord, we are saved. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for showing us how to walk with you, how to sa be saved, and how to put our words to good youth use. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. God bless you and I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next Home

BAPTIZED INTO JESUS' DEATH - RISEN TO LIFE The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the spiritual reality of water baptism as described in Romans 6. Baptism is more than an outward declaration of faith; it is a participation in Christ’s death and resurrection. Through this knowledge, believers are equipped to overcome sin, walk in newness of life, and live as overcomers in the righteousness of Christ. BAPTIZED INTO JESUS' DEATH - RISEN TO LIFE Minister Lisa Kane May 25, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the spiritual reality of water baptism as described in Romans 6. Baptism is more than an outward declaration of faith; it is a participation in Christ’s death and resurrection. Through this knowledge, believers are equipped to overcome sin, walk in newness of life, and live as overcomers in the righteousness of Christ. Synopsis: This teaching explores the profound meaning of water baptism through Romans 6. Paul’s message makes clear that believers are not merely symbolically washed, but spiritually united with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. Going under the water signifies dying to sin, while rising out of it represents new life in Christ. The lesson emphasizes that this truth provides both knowledge and power: knowledge that sin has no dominion over the believer, and power to choose righteousness over sin. By grasping this reality, Christians can resist temptation, walk in freedom, and bear fruit that reflects their new identity in Christ. Through scriptural teaching and practical insights, the message highlights baptism as the moment of transformation—death to the old self and resurrection into life with Christ. The believer’s journey from bondage to freedom is a gift of grace, empowering them to live boldly, free from fear, and filled with the hope of eternal life in Jesus. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, May 25th, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. I also pray for all the listeners who are hearing your word that this word ministers to them deep within their spirit and that they hold on to your word and realize that they're more than conqueror that they're overcomers and that they are strong in you. Thank you Lord in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Welcome. I'm glad you can join me. The teaching today is called baptized into Jesus death risen to life. Let's go to our opening scripture here in Romans 6:3. Know ye not that so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Well, now isn't that an interesting question? Don't you know that you were baptized into his death, which is being made wet fully and completely? It's what water baptism is. Water baptism, a lot of churches say that it proclaims you're acknowledging Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior to all of the witnesses around. Not just those physically attending, but those spiritually attending. And there is a truth to that. There is more than that though with water baptism. Remember when Jesus was waterbaptized and the Holy Spirit landed on him in the form of a dove, he went immediately into the wilderness and dealt with the devil. So he goes into spiritual warfare immediately after water baptism. But it's interesting that Paul is making the claim here in Romans that you are baptized into his death. So let's take a look at Romans 6 uh more complete. I want to go through this because I want you to realize that this is to help you mentally overcome the things that you are facing. And uh this is really really good. You're going to like this teaching. So let's start with verse one. So we're going to be in Romans 6 and we're going to start with verse uh one here. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? So Paul is coming out and he's saying, "Okay, we got grace. This is awesome. So should we keep sinning so that grace keeps working?" And then he answers his question in verse two. Says, "God forbid." Wait a second. Wait a second. But we want grace to keep going forward and we want grace to stand strengthened in us. Yes. But not through sin. And that's what Paul is pointing out here. So verse two, God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein? That's it's a very interesting question. When we became a believer, we and we became waterbaptized. Now, water baptism and being a believer are two separate things. Remember the man on the cross, the thief on the cross, he had protected Jesus while he was up there. And Jesus he he said Jesus when you enter your kingdom remember me. And Jesus promised him you will be with me in paradise today. So he didn't get off the cross and get water baptized. He wasn't water bapti or even baptized by the Holy Spirit. He didn't go knocking door to door winning souls. In fact he never had that opportunity to do any of that. He died on the cross just like Jesus. But he ended up in paradise and I like to say by the skin of his teeth or by the hair on his chinny chin chin because he barely made it but he was saved. So water baptism takes us a little deeper. This is now dealing with and I've taught on water baptism in belief letting the seed take hold, germinating the seed and coming out of that. Now we're going to look at what water baptism does in the spirit. how it keeps us from sin. Because see now, you know, you have a lot of people who question like, "Yeah, I'm a believer, but I still sin. I still mess up." Well, this chapter deals with that to help you overcome that. So, let's continue on here and look at that. It says, uh, let's read verse two again. God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer in sin? Basically, how how can we? You died the moment you became water baptized. You went under the water. You got fully wet. This isn't a sprinkling. This is a fully wetness. And you come out of it. You died with Jesus on that cross. You're no longer that sinner. And I call you that sinner. Not by your name. I call you by that sinner. Yes, we're born. We have a name. We have a personality. We have a book that God has written about us. I've taught on that before. And so what happens next is that person died immediately when he or she went under the water. I died when I was water baptized. I was water baptized at the age of nine and I went under and I came up alive in Christ which means I should not go back into sin. However, I have gone back into sin. But the Lord has changed me in these last few years in a remarkable way that that I keep pursuing more and more. I try to get closer and closer to God because I really want to overcome this and be done with sin. Amen. Isn't that something a worthy goal to have? Look at this in verse three. He says, "Know ye not that so many of us were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into our his death." That's our opening scripture. We were baptized into his death. So, as Jesus was baptized, three years later, he died on the cross. But then three days later, he rose to life. And I love that. Three years and three days. You see, the moment you die, you've got your ministry ahead of you. Whether that's three years, 10 years, 33 years, 55 years, 88 years, it doesn't matter. That ministry is before you. But the moment you die, Paul says we're absent from the body, present with the Lord. See, when Jesus went down to the grave for three days, he went down there to deal with hell. He went down there to deal with those in paradise. And when he came out, they came with him. And on his way to heaven, he stopped to talk to Mary Magdalene. What did he tell? She said, "Don't touch me yet. I haven't ascended." He says, "I go to my God, your God, my father, your father." You see, there's revelation in that. Jesus, the creator of this world, he's the the power, the spoken word. He entered his own creation as a man. Now when we create things, we cannot enter it. But he did. So when he went through death and he died, he came up out of that grave alive with a body that we're to get. He did everything that we're expected to do. He went through it himself. and he went through it horribly because God turned his back on him when he was right there on the cross when all that sin was on him because he wasn't used to that. That was probably more painful than the physical pain he was suffering on that cross that moment. So now that we see that we're baptized because remember Jesus also said that we would do greater things than him. How? Well, that's overcoming sin. See, we died and and the knowledge here. See, here's the key. If you can get the knowledge and the fact that you're dead, sin can't touch you. Let's continue on and read more of chapter 6 verse4. Therefore, we are buried or assimilated spiritually with him by baptism into death. That like as Christ was raised, he was waken up from the dead by the glory of the father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. So we come up. He again ministered for 30 or for three more years. He lived to be 33. They approximate that. But here's the thing is now we walk in life, not death. Death has no dominion over us. You're going to see that as he gets to it here in just a moment. Verse five. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection. Now, this goes back to my other teaching where the if you remember the parable of the sewer, he's sewing seeds on good soil, hard soil, rocks, thistles, they're all all over the place. See, not every plant germinates in easy condition. Some require special condition to germinate or get saved for them to receive that seed to grow and manifest in us. It takes special condition. But for most of us, we hear the word of God when that seed is planted. And see, remember, Adam was made from earth. So the word of God is a seed that gets planted in the dirt that we were. And what happens is when you get water baptized and you come up, you just water the seed and it should begin to germinate. Especially as you continue to receive the water which is the word of God, living waters just keep coming over. You keep reading it and you get hit the sun, the son of God, not just the su but the s o n. As you get that seed is germinating and it's planting, the sun is causing it to grow and mature. That's our three years of ministry, 10 years, 88 years, whatever it may be. We are in that ministry and the Lord continues to work through us. So now we have a knowledge. We can understand that we died with him when we were water baptized. That's knowledge. But there's also we came out of that water. Let's look at this further as we go together. We're planted together in the likeness of him and in the likeness of his resurrection. Same thing. We are resurrected into a new creation. See Jesus, same spirit, but he is a new creation because he has a body now where he didn't have a body before this all started. Now he's in a physical body who sits next to his father, a spirit, the divine holiness of God, the father himself. And so Jesus is now part of us, which is where we come in as a bride. So we die with him when we're water baptized and we are resurrected to life. Let's continue on in verse six. knowing this. See, this is where we get the knowledge and this is what the knowledge does. Every time you are tempted or you think of sin or there's something there that you know it's going to take you away from the Lord or you're struggling with something, remember the knowledge of being waterbaptized and to death and rising from that water into life. Knowing this, this is knowledge, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. It's very interesting where Paul goes with this because now he's talking about servantthood. And you're going to see that the second half of chapter 6 is all about who you serve, which means you take that knowledge and you make a choice. Are you going to serve righteousness or are you going to serve sin? Who do you choose to be a slave to? Righteousness or sin? It's a choice. Now, spiritually, you're dead. You went under the water. You died. Spiritually, you rose from that grave just like Jesus. and you're alive in him. So now when you have that knowledge, you can say, I'm going to choose to serve righteousness because I have the right to it because Jesus has forgiven me. He redeemed me by what he did on the cross through his blood. He poured out his blood and he paid that price and we were resurrected from that with him. We're resurrected with him. So now verse seven, for he that is dead is freed from sin. You died. Sin no longer has a hold of you. And when you get that mentally and you sit here and it becomes a revelation because you like all of a sudden like wait a second, I I'm I'm not bound to sin. I don't have to serve that. You know, when I became aware of the medical system and I was diagnosed with a type two diabetes and all that kind of stuff, when I became aware of that's not how God made me to live. I'm not here to live in bondage of some medical condition. He made this earth for me to live on healthy and free. And it became a knowledge, a knowing. And when I got it, I got rid of all those drugs and I'm in better health now today than I ever have been. And that's because I chose to walk in the righteousness. I chose to believe that I was freed from all that. It's a choice. You can choose to believe you're still a part of sin or you can choose to believe that you've been freed from sin. Paul is talking about this in Romans 6. Let's go to verse seven now. I mean verse eight. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. There's that word belief. We believe. So now we're talking about how do you believe? Do you believe you're saved? And do you know a lot of Christians struggle with that? Let me give let me let you in on a little secret here. If you're struggling with that, it means you're consciously aware of an attack against your mind, but you don't know what to believe. You're still believing the liar, the devil, who's telling you, "You messed up bad." Well, let me tell you something. Jesus says, "I will forgive anything and anyone of anything." That is the freedom we have. And you get to choose to believe that freedom because if you believe you're free from sin, you will walk sin free. You will walk liberated. You will walk in the life that Christ has called you to live by. What a blessing. What a powerful revelation that we can have in our minds simply because we choose to believe. Which by the way, choosing to believe is a step of faith. You're activating faith in God, which is how he operates. He wants to operate through faith. So, you have to take a leap of faith and say, "All right, Jesus, you said I'm freed from sin. I don't know how you can say that, but I'm going to choose to believe that." And you plant the seed and the spirit begins to change things in your mind. Changes the way you think. You know, when I got off that type two diabetes, all the drugs, the insulin, I was in all I was in all those pills plus other things. It took about eight weeks. It's a process, but I kept saying, "No, I'm gonna choose to believe in you, God." And it was like it broke through. And I was like, "Thank you, Jesus. I don't want to live in bondage to that." And you don't have to live in bondage to that either. You're free from sin because you died when you were waterbaptized and came up. Now all of us who become believers ought to get water baptized if we could because that's going to let us walk liberated. It is going to let us walk liberated but at the same time also be prepared and aware of spiritual aspects we have to deal with every day. We are in spiritual warfare every day. You wonder why some days you feel like you want to do the anything. You like you can just overcome the world and there are other days that you're so down you're just like you could barely barely even pray. That's because you're dealing with spiritual warfare. There are things that are attacking you. And these are those things where you finally again with the knowledge of your mind and your spoken word. Remember what Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord. The moment you say Jesus is Lord, and you believe that God raised him from the dead, you're saved, delivered, healed, not just for salvation of eternity, but liberated to walk in freedom while on this earth before we get our heavenly bodies. We can walk liberated. That's so powerful. I hope you guys are getting this. Verse nine, knowing here's that knowing again to know. Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead die dieth no more. Death has no death hath no dominion over him. We death has no dominion over us because we died with him. And the moment we died with him, we're done with death. Hebrews 9:27 says that every man is appointed to die once. Well, guess what? That's where my death was. So, either I'm just going to instantly change. twinkling of an eye in the rapture or I'm gonna be doing whatever or asleep and I'm gonna instantly change. I'm not going to experience any more death because I've already died to my flesh. I've already died to this world and death has no dominion over me. My eternity has already begun. Simply put, I'm going to come out of the flesh. this flesh is just going to come right off of me and my spirit is going to enter into the presence of the Lord. That's how it works for believers in Christ. This is what Christianity is. And it's about the relationship factor where you finally get to know the truth of what the word is telling us. The word is telling us, I don't have to live to death. I don't have to live by death's rules. I'm not obligated to that to that law. I walk supernaturally in the spirit above and beyond death. I have no fear of it. I don't need to have fear. I wasn't given a spirit of fear. Do you know how many times it says do not fear in the Bible? Like over 365 times. And that's just that one phrase. That's not counting all the other phrases of don't be afraid or anything like that and all the different version of Bibles out there. I'm going to tell you right now, we are freed from death. And we don't have to live by those rules. See, we're we're Christlike. And if Jesus can walk on the water and break the rules of how water operates, you know, water is liquid and water, you're supposed to sink into it. Well, Jesus said, "I'm the creator and I'm going to break that rule and make it solid." And so, he walked on water. And every time somebody had a need or somebody had an issue, whether their faith healed them or whether he healed them, either way, he broke the rules because he was already he had already died and he had already risen. He was just in ministry during that time and then he went to the cross and that was so that he can pay that price for us to be able to do the same thing that he does. So here we have the opportunity and the privilege to be above and beyond that. Do we deserve it? No. But this is where the knowledge comes in. I believe Jesus healed me and I believe he saved me and I believe I'm I'm righteous because of his covering over me and I get to have the right to stand in that and the right to claim it. That's my privilege. This is a blessing that the Lord has given us and we ought to be walking in that. For in that he died, he died unto sin once, but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Now notice he doesn't say live once because see you live out your life here in the physical but then you live out your eternity in his presence. You're actually living twice. Once in the physical flesh and once in the spiritual flesh and they overlap. And that's where we're at. For those of us that get the knowledge of this, we're in that overlapping field where we're still stuck with our flesh, but we are living our spirit life already. And we're living unto God. Because again, we have that knowledge and we choose to put him first. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. All these things will be added unto you. That's Matthew 6:33. These are the promises that we have that have been given to us where we can manifest that and live and surprise people. People are going to look going, "How can you do that?" Well, guess what? So verse 11 like it like likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. This is very very powerful. You see the moment sin tries to do something or take over or you know try to act try to take dominion that's when you say no no no no nope I dead to sin. I died to sin. It it has no pull on me. It has no longing. It has no um it has no dominion over me at all. It is gone. Can look at it and say, you know what? Bye-bye. And that's what you do. So here now we have the opportunity to say well I choose to live unto God and I choose to walk in his knowledge that he has given me which means I'm liberated and I don't have to live or feel like I'm going back into sin or doing sin again because I'm free. I'm already dead to that. And the moment you get that knowledge and you start speaking that word over your body, over your mind, you're prophesying over yourself, I'm not going to live in sin anymore because I choose to live unto life. Your life radically changes spiritually and physically. And I am I I guarantee that. That is a promise of God that he has given to each and every one of us. And I have experienced it at least a little bit. I don't know where your faith is and I don't know what everybody else's faith. Some faith is just really small like a pinhole. But others faith, some people see a bigger picture. I don't see that whole big picture. I just saw a part that I know I get to live free. And as soon as I got that, my life changed and I wish I could apply it to everything else. So I keep saying it over and over again because I know my God and I know what he's doing in my life. That transformation is at work. Amen. Verse 12. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the l lust or the longings thereof. You see, we don't have to obey it. It may tempt us. But I promise you, the moment you say, "Nope, I choose life and I choose living for God." That sin has to run away. It has to flee. It has to go away. Verse 13, neither yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin. I love this. Unrighteousness is legal injustice. You see what happens? A lot of us, especially as believers in Christ, we may not blatantly go out and sin. Um, you know, take drugs or, you know, do something like a murder or anything like that. But I will tell you what we do is we speak words. And the issue is we might be cursing instead of blessing. And if you're doing that, that's where your sin is. And that's when you say, "Nope, I'm not going to speak those words over so and so. I choose God. I choose righteousness. And Lord, I'm going to bless him and I bless me because I don't want that curse on them. And I don't want that curse on me because I'm not bound by sin anymore. I'm liberated." Hallelujah. But yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. You see, here's the thing is you're a walking miracle. You are a walking miracle because you know you have the knowledge of what God has done for you and you claimed it. You spoke it. You attributed it to you. You prophesied it over yourself with your spoken word and you said sin is no longer part of my life. I am liberated. And by the way, the word sin there means offense. So you're not offending. You should be offending people actually uh with your walk with the Lord. It should be offending a whole bunch of people because they don't like the fact that you're healed. You know, I I've got family members that I know that are um still dealing with type 2 diabetes, stuff like this, and I'm sure they're questioning in the back of their mind, how is it she could be free from it, but he or she can't? Well, let me let you in on a little secret. I chose God and to walk in his knowledge. And guess what? You can do the same. It took me two months to finally get liberated from it, but you do see the light at the end of the tunnel and you do get free from it because it does not have dominion over you. Hallelujah. Verse 14, for sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace. We have the grace factor. Jesus forgave us. And it's hard to understand because we want it. There's a desire there to want to work and prove to God that we can do it. Here's the thing. Every time we try to do it our own way, we're going to fail every single time. And this is when we finally say, "You know what, Lord? I give up. I'm just going to have to trust in your grace, in your freedom, and that's just what I'm going to have to do because I don't know what else to do here." And that's when God says, "I got you in the right place where I need you to be." And he starts working in you. He starts changing the way you think. And he starts pouring his word into you. And again, you're liberating you. The knowledge, it revitalizes you. It changes your whole perspective. Oh, this is so good. Let's go to verse 15. What then? Shall we sin? Which this sin means miss the mark because we are not under the law, but under grace. God forbid. No. So now we don't do we don't keep going and sinning. We have to make a conscious effort to stop it and say no more. And guess what? Sin has to flee. It all has to work. The devil has to run away. That's how this works. So know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death or of obedience and to righteousness. So you have a choice. You can continue to live into sin and and what does it say? Sin unto death or you can be obedient unto righteousness. Actionable items on your shoulders. You choose. You decide which direction you want to go. Then verse 17, but God be thanked that ye are the servants of sin, but you have obeyed the heart that for that form of doctrine which was delivered to you. Once you believe, and here comes that word believe. The word believe means to have faith. You believe that God has raised you up. You came out of that water. You are a new creation, a new creation, a new creature. You are transformed. And you are no longer obedient to sin. You're obedient unto righteousness by your spoken word. And as you stand on that, believe because you are free. Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness or justification. Now you're a servant to righteous. So everything you do is going to be under right standing. You're going to pray for somebody. Right standing. You're going to love your enemies. Right standing. These are the things that you've been blessed with because you chose knowing righteousness through God. You chose to walk in that and walk away from sin. You made a conscious choice spiritually. Everything took place when you were baptized and you came up. Spiritually, it's done. Now you get to stand in that freedom and you get to walk in the right stand. You are justified by faith because your faith made you whole because you believed. I speak after the manner of men because of the affirmity of your flesh, feebleness, weakness. For as ye have yielded your member servants to uncleanness and to iniquity, or illegality, unto iniquity, even so now yield your member servants to righteousness and to holiness. See, now you can submit yourself holy. You get to go in and spend time with Christ. No matter how much everyone's trying to distract you, turn your phone off, put it down, open up the Bible, and say, "Lord, I'm gonna spend time with you because this time is between you and me." And by the way, every time you do it every day, you get closer and closer to him. Oh, hallelujah. For we For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. You couldn't do that if you were a sinner. You cannot go into righteousness. The law tells us we will fail every single time, but grace tells us we're already saved. Amen. Oh, hallelujah. What fruit have ye then in those things where ye are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. You see, we don't have death over us anymore. There is no dominion of death. We are free. So, if you choose to walk in sin, you're going to be walking into death all over again when you have the right to be free from it as a believer in Christ. Verse 22. But now being made free from sin and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness in the end of everlasting. Notice this fruit. Fruit has to mature. Fruit has to grow. Means it comes from a seed. You are buried in the water. It is now watered. You come up alive. It's germinating. It is alive. May not even see the leaves yet, but it's coming out. And before you know it, the leaves come out. The branch comes out. You're a new creation. And the fruit starts to appear, meaning you start demonstrating rightness with God. Oh, hallelujah. And that's the fruit. And people can come up to you and see that, know it, they will grab your fruit and take a a bite of it and know what is it that you do to do this because I want to live like that. Oh, that's how we sit. That's how we stand in his will, manifesting his will to the world. Hallelujah. And the last but most important verse in this chapter is for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It's a gift. This is all a free gift. We don't have to work at it. We just have to make a choice and choose righteousness. And that way you choose life and life more abundantly. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We bless your word that it manifests in us and it sticks with us and that we produce that fruit that you have given us, Father God. As every action we take, it'll be unto righteousness and justification that we choose no more sin, but we choose life and the gift of life in you. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I'll see you in the next teaching. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

Note, the ending is cut-off with no closing prayer, but the substance of the message is there, and this is a good teaching on spiritual warfare. Objective: Equip believers to practice intercession as true spiritual warfare: knowing the real Jesus, standing in their God-given authority, and speaking God’s Word to confront principalities and powers, break curses, and apply the blood of Jesus over their lives, families, and communities. Synopsis: After welcoming the Holy Spirit, the message frames intercession as active spiritual warfare. Using Psalm 18, David’s experience illustrates demonic assault—fear, death, and floods of ungodliness—met by crying out to God, who “shakes the earth” and delivers. Words are shown to carry jurisdiction: attacks often ride on hateful or cursing words, which must be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). A key contrast appears between David and Saul: not sinlessness, but allegiance. Spiritual warfare begins with knowing the real Jesus and refusing syncretism (mediums, rituals, horoscopes, cultural paganism). From Ephesians 3:10, the church—God’s living temple—is tasked to make known God’s wisdom to principalities (jurisdictions) and powers (delegated enforcers). Jesus grants superior authority (Luke 10:19) to trample serpents and scorpions and to nullify the enemy’s manifested “dunamis.” The message unveils the manifold (sevenfold) Spirit on Jesus (Isaiah 11:2) and explains how wisdom, understanding, and knowledge build and establish God’s plan (Proverbs 24:3–4). Reverent fear of the Lord gives “quick understanding,” guarding against self-use of spiritual gifts. Believers are called to strike the earth with the rod of their mouth (Isaiah 11:4): declare Scripture, apply the blood of Jesus to silence bloodguilt in the land, and break family and regional curses. Practical targets include religion-bound strongholds (“bulls,” Psalm 22) and secular governmental/ cultural pressures (“lions”). Intercession starts at home—speaking over family, health, finances, schools, workplaces—while trusting God to dispatch angelic help as His Word is declared. The call to action: stand in Christ’s righteousness, speak God’s Word boldly, and contend for God’s kingdom to manifest on earth—for protection, deliverance, and revival. Inspired Teaching: We welcome you, Holy Spirit, right now. We thank you that during the time of praise and worship, you you brought us into the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and grace in the time of need. And even now, as we have prayed for the people that were anointed and commissioned, you were there, dear Lord Jesus, to touch and to fill and and to fulfill your promises in the lives of those that we were prayed for. And now we ask you that you will anoint your word that as h I offer my lips, Father God, as a sacrifice of praise to you that the Holy Spirit may use, Father God, let your anointing, Father God, touch the hearts of each of every one of us here tonight. For we need you, Lord Jesus. These are desperately wicked times. We need you now more than ever before. We need your presence. We need your power. You need We need your anointing. So Lord Jesus have your will with us tonight. Amen. Amen. Praise God. You may be seated. Thank you Lord Jesus. Hallelujah. Praise you father. I want to talk about the uh intercession. Uh I first of all I want to apologize for not making it last week. As you know, we moved to Lake Elsenor and my wife and I first time in the two and a half months we've been there. We ordered pizza on Thursday night and uh oh my god, I puke all night long Thursday night. I mean, and then she started on on uh on Friday morning. We This is incredible. We got in bed at 10 or 11 in the morning and slept like six hours straight. Then we got in bed Friday night at 6 o'clock and we slept until the next day and you know getting up and and getting sick and and all that stuff. But there's no way we could have drove out here. Believe me, uh we were dying. We thought we were poison. We thought they they put poison or something in there. So, but we're here tonight. Um let me show you. If you go to Psalm 18, let me show you what intercession is all about. Intercession is about spiritual warfare. Okay? And and I want you to see um what from from David's uh point of view uh what uh spiritual warfare is all about. The Psalm 8 thing it is all is also in 2 Samuels I believe and is about uh doing spiritual warfare. If you look at verse four Psalm 18 verse4 this is what David says. Now remember David is a mighty man of God. David is anointed of the Holy Spirit and he says the pains of death surrounded me and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of shield that's hell surrounded me. The snares of death confronted me. That is talking about spiritual attack. David came under a demonic spiritual attack. He says the the spirit of death just came and in around me the floods of ungodliness. That's when all every wicked thing that you can ever think of begin to flow through you through your mind. and all of a sudden you you feel like killing somebody or doing those vile things and you step back and said, "Where in the world was that coming from?" So, he's talking about not only the spirit of death coming after him, but the the this filthy uh uh things that that that surrounded him that made him afraid. He says, "The sorrows of hell shield surrounded me and the snares of that confronted me." He says, "In my distress, I called upon the Lord and I cried out to my God." And then if you go on to read on, he says that God heard his his cry from the temple. And look at verse seven says, "The earth shook and tremble." And it's important that you understand this because the earth is very much connected to spiritual warfare. The spiritual warfare takes place here on the earth. The battle may may have its origins up in there. That's where shield is at. That's where these things are at. But I want you to see that it was down here on the earth where God answer and moved. What does it say there? It says God shook the earth. I don't think this was a regular. It might have been that this was a regular u uh earthquake. But what this is saying is whatever this demonic thing that was rising out of the earth coming against David, God began to shake him. Then he says the foundations of the hills also quake and were shaken because he was angry. And then he talks about like God getting h smoke coming out of his mouth. And this is very important because it symbolizes the word of God. When God speak his word is like a fire. Isaiah says, "Isn't my word like a fire that sets stuff on fire?" Uh, you know, uh, stuff that that needs to be burned out. And he said, "My word like a hammer that breaks rocks into pieces." He says, "He bent down the heavens and came down." And then he says that, um, all of the things uh, verse 12, verse 13, the Lord thunder from heaven, the most high utter his voice, hailstones and calls of fire. And then he goes all the way uh to verse uh 15. The channels of the sea were seen. The foundations of the world were on cover at your rebuke Lord at the blast of the breath of your nostrils. So he's saying that he came under a demonic attack. A demonic attack that originated in hell itself. This is what David is saying. All of the things were coming up against me was like a flood of iniquity. Think of every vile thing you can ever think of. Have it all flowing through you at the same time. Plus at the same time having this fear like a a a spirit that is trying to snuff your life out and you're feeling all like choked to death by this thing. Did you know that more people wake up in the middle of the night frightened or panicked because things like that happen to them? There are people that cannot sleep on their beds. I know many people sit on their sofa with the TV on all night long because they cannot get into that deep area of sleep because that demonic attack is able to come in against them like that. So what we're going to talk about tonight, this is not part of the message, but I want you to see why it is so important to understand spiritual warfare because spiritual warfare does not prevent the enemy from attacking you. But it does enable God when we pray the prayer, when we call upon him to do what he needs to do to get us through and get us over the demonic attack. He says in verse 16, "He sent from above and he took me." Oh, I love that. He says, "God all of a sudden saw that David was in trouble and God just sent from above and took it. He drew me out of the many waters and he delivered me from my strong enemy." And look who the enemy was from those who hated me for they were too strong for me. Those who hated me. Did you know that Satan hates us with a passion? And did you know that Satan the people that he possesses or the people that he works through that hate can be vented out through them? Did you know that people will, especially family members or close friends, can hurt you a lot more than anybody else could ever will? And that's because when Satan is able to come into their their way of thinking, he can vent this hate. And that hate manifests itself through cursing words. I hate you. When that word is spoken like that with the passion that is spoken like that there's a torrent of death that is poured out through that and we need to understand that in the the real spiritual warfare those words have to be confronted in Isaiah 54:17 no weapon formed against me shall prosper meaning that and then it says every word that rises against you meaning that when a word is spoken that word is like a seed that wants to grow into a free, wants to prosper, wants to grow. And that's what Satan does. He speaks the light. And the more that that that light works in us and and and is reinforced by other people, the more hate and the more fear that it builds up on us. And those words have to be condemned. He says, "But every word that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn." Spiritual warfare is taking the words the Satan speaks against us and making them null and void saying that word is not going to take a stand against me. Now then David goes in it says verse 18 Psalm 18:18 they confronted me in the day of my calamity. You know what the day of your calamity is? Is when you're down. I believe I don't know I didn't research it but I believe that this psalm was written at the lowest part of David's uh sin. I believe like Psalm 51 he was confronted with his sin. That was the day of his calamity. Now David had many days to where he faced calamity. But when you're down, when you're the worst at the worst point in your life, when you're at your lowest point in your life, that is when Satan comes in and he will attack you. He will attack you. He will send that coil to to wrap around your neck and he he will bring those bitter words, those hateful words. He will bring everything he can to destroy you. And this is why we need to know how to call upon the Lord because David says that in the day of his calamity when he was confronted by the enemy, the Lord was his support. In verse 19, he also brought me out into a broad place. He delivered me because he delighted in me. The Lord delighted in David. And yet he was a sinful man. He was a man that failed. Now, here's the key. This is why I'm reading this before I teach the lesson. Here's the key that I want you to understand. It wasn't that David was perfect. It wasn't his calamity. It was brought upon probably by by sins that he did by something where he disobeyed God or some some act that he did because Satan is the accuser of the brethren. And every time we step out of line, he takes advantage of that and he comes like a flood trying to destroy us. But then look at verse 20 because this is the key that I want you to see. David is able to say this. The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands. He has recompensed me. Now, the very first thing that went through everybody's mind over here is, "Oh, man. I'm in trouble. I'm in trouble according to my righteousness." But no, this is why I prefaced that where David wasn't a perfect man. David sinned and that's why God allowed to sin. What was it that David was talking about the righteousness of my hand? Did you know that the difference between David and Saul, King Saul, the difference between the two is that Saul was never sure who the real God was. There was no doubt on David's heart who the real God was. He knew that God was Yahweh and he worshiped Yahweh. He prayed Yahweh. He was a a a a man like of flesh like we are. And he had a propensity toward sin. But never ever ever in his heart did he allow another god to take his place. How do I know that? Because when Saul felt abandoned, who did he go to? To the witch of Endor. Whatever you do, my friend, don't ever ever and if you have done it, repent and say, "Lord, I will never do that again." Never seek God through a medium. Never seek God through a fortune teller. never sink out through a saint or through a religious uh h ritual or item. We have to this is at the heart of spiritual warfare. We have to know who the real god is. The real god is a holy god and it's a jealous god. And when you get to to somebody else that imitates god, he doesn't like it. And when that time the of the uh demonic attack comes against you, you better know who the real god is. This is why I come so strong against Christmas and against Easter and all of these pagan rituals that have been uh instituted through the church through the centuries so that the church has no power. Why would the Lord when you say in the name of Jesus and and be healed and and why would the Lord heal it when we're worshiping a Jesus that is not the Jesus of the Bible? You know, if somebody comes and say, "Oh, happy birthday." Well, it's not my birthday today. you know, why would I accept that? And you see that that the church through traditions and through things has been polluted and to where people don't know who God is. You know, it is so easy for a Christian to go from uh uh from reading the Bible and getting the council of God to reading a fortune cookie and getting a revelation from the fortune cookie or reading their horoscope on the newspaper and say, "Oh, well, the Lord spoke to me through that." There's just no difference. We we don't realize it that God is a God that's pure and holy and that is the only thing that's going to keep our hands clean when we know who the real God is and when we pray to the real God. Amen. And the same way and and and it was the same way with u uh with Jonah. Jonah was a man that was in rebellion. And you can read in Jonah chapter 2. He was a man that was in rebellion. The same thing happened to him. the coil, the waters uh surrounded him. The the snares or the coils of hail shield went around him. And when God delivered him, he cried from the uh uh the belly of the fish with he had been dead for three days. He wasn't alive and he was dead. He went down to hell and he cried to the Lord from down in there and God answered him. And then he says, "God rewarded me according to the cleanliness of my hands." And you say, "Well, what do you mean cleanliness of my hand? you were in rebellion to God. God said, "Oh, go over there and you went this way." Well, because he believed that if he went where God went, that God would heal the people. And he didn't want those people to be healed. He believed God. He had faith. He knew who the real God was. And even though he was in rebellion to God, when he called to the real God, the real God answered. So, at the heart of uh spiritual warfare, at the heart of intercession is first of all the foundation. You better know who the real Jesus is. You better know who the real Jesus is. Not everybody that says Jesus or says Lord, Lord is talking about the Jesus you're talking about. Not everybody that's quoting the scripture is talking about the same Jesus of the Bible. And not everybody that is singing son to Lord Lord is singing to our Lord. You know that's that's what one of the Beatles tried to prove. Who was it? Uh uh what was his name? The no the other guy. Yeah, the one that died. George Harrison. Harrison. George George Harrison tried to prove Yeah. Thank you. But George Harrison tried to prove that anybody could sing to anything. So he wrote a song to Ham Maharaji in India. One of those new age guys or whatever. He My sweet lord. You guys probably remember that song. My sweet lord. My sweet lord. And people think thinking that he was singing it to the Lord Jesus Christ. No, he was singing it to some Maharachi over there in in India or Tibet some place. And he wanted to prove that all you have to do is put word the word Lord to it and everybody will go with it. And ever since that time we have all kinds of son says my sweet Lord my sweet Lord and they say Jesus and they say this and they say that and they're not of God. And if you're going to know about a spiritual warfare and intercession, you better know the real God because it's only in the name. That's the name that God responds to when hell comes after you. You better know you better know Jesus real number. You know, you don't want to get a wrong number. You don't want you don't want to dial Jesus and and and wind up, you know, with a with with with a house of ill repute, which that that is what the demonic thing is. Go to Ephesians Ephesians chapter 3 and we're going to deal with spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare. Ephesians chapter 3 verse 10. And the reason why I I put that emphasis on that is because we need to know Jesus, the real Jesus. And you know there is a cost to knowing Jesus. In John uh chapter 6, as a matter of fact, 666 666, he says, "And many of the disciples turn away from Jesus." John 666. That's a sign of of And then uh uh the 12 disciples went to Jesus and and then Jesus said, "Aren't you going to leave me too?" He said, "Where, Lord? We left everything for you." And you know, you want to be with the real Jesus, give everything to the real Jesus. You got nowhere else to go when you run out of things. So, praise God. Ephesians chapter 3, 10. Now, how many of you know that you're the church, not the building? I mean, thank God for the building and thank God that we're out of the rain and out of the cold, but this is not the building that God dwells in. Back in the old days, they build the tabernacle and then later a temple and the glory of the Lord dwells in the tabernacle in the temple in the holy place in the holy of holies. The shikina glory of God would hover over there. But God says he was looking for a temple that is not made with human hands. Okay? And the temple is you and I. We are the church. When you confess Jesus Christ as your savior, God placed the Holy Spirit within within you as a deposit or as a guaranteed. In other words, there's a stamp in your spirit, the spirit man, the real spirit man. Your spirit man has ears. Not these ears are probably up in here. You know when you see Batman with a little ears up in there, this is your soul has ears. Uh your spirit has ears. Your spirit man is stamped. It says holy to the Lord is reserved. This is what happened when you were born again. Immediately your spirit was stamped with with a holy to the Lord in there meaning it belongs to God. That spirit is the one that that God now wants to that makes God dwell in us where we're the church. In other words, through his spirit, he he says in in John 16, he said, "Father, I will live in them and you will live in them." God and Jesus are both living in us through his spirit. It's just like taking a drop of water and dropping in a huge pool. We are the drop of water, the huge pool or the huge ocean is God. His spirit is in us. We belong to him. That makes us the church. That means that now we're the church. Now, why am I saying that? To the intent. Now, this is Ephesians 3:10. To the intent, now that the manifold wisdom is God, manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church. God has an intention for you. God intended something that he wanted to do through you and through me. When he saved us, he made us a church. The church is the body of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a head. If you use the body as an example, he is the head. The head, he's sitting at the right hand of the father in heaven. We are his body here on the earth. Okay? And he has a purpose. That's what the word intent means to the intent that that means we have something that God intended for us to do here on earth. Okay? And we're talking about spiritual warfare. We're talking about bringing the kingdom of God here to the earth. Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done where? On the earth. Remember, he shook the earth. God shook the earth. When David was in spiritual warfare, God shook the earth. We are to bring the kingdom of God where to the earth. The kingdom of God is to be brought down to the earth. That's the intention for God for you and me. We are to bring the kingdom of God to the earth. That's God's intent for us. Okay? Okay. And so we read to the intent now that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to principalities and powers in the where heavenly places. Okay, we're here on the earth. The earth is filling the consequences of the sin that is taking place where this principalities in power. And God says,"I want you to do something to this principality disempowered so I can bring my kingdom here to the earth." Spiritual warfare is about that. Spiritual warfare is about that. If we do not understand anything else, we need to understand that this has to uh be made known. Look, look at look at that again. to the intent now that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known. Might be made known. Meaning something has to be revealed. Something have to be brought out. Something have to be exposed. As a matter of fact, if you look right there, uh I'll just show you one of uh uh six uh where the word mystery appears. Uh Ephesians 6:19, Paul says, Ephesians 6:19, "And for me that utterance may be given to me." He's asking the Ephesians to pray for him. He says, "And for me that utterance might be given to me that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel." The church is to make something known. Okay. The word mystery appears in the Bible 22 times. If you look at in the King James version, the original King James version, which sticks to the most original uh as they translated it, you do not find the word mystery nowhere is in the Old Testament. Look it up. All the mysteries of God were hidden in the Old Testament. They could not be revealed because they're spiritual. They were hidden. It took Jesus to come in and to make the revelation known. And when Jesus came and made the revelation known, now in the New Testament, the word mystery appears 22 times. Why? Because the Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. See, God created everything with 22 letters. That is a celestial uh uh alphabet. No vowels, no nothing. 22 letters. Everything that God ever spoke, he used those 22 letters. Okay? And so the 22 letters represents the completion of the creation of God. And it was hidden in the New Testament in the Old Testament and it is now revealed in the New Testament. Now 22 times appears in the 27 books of the New Testament. And on Ephesians alone, the word mystery appears six times. Six times appears. Why? Because Ephesians is a book about spiritual warfare and bringing revelation into how to do the revelation. This why Paul says uh pray for me that I may be bold and speak the mystery the hidden thing that which been hidden in the gospel. So, we have God intended for us to have as we go back to Ephesians 3:10, God intended for us to make known the manifold wisdom of God. We're to make it known. Now, we're going to break this down. So, first of all, we're going to we know that has to be spoken. We know that it's something that's hidden that has to be revealed. We know that the essence of spiritual warfare is speaking to these principalities and powers. So the first thing we want to deal with is principalities. Verse three, Ephesians 3:10 that to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be may be known by us the church to the principalities and powers. The word principality is a word that means arc. A ray is is a word in in Greek. A ray. And using those huge arches that that they would build in order to enter into a building. Okay, that's where the word arch comes from. Arch. Arch comes from ar meaning a principality or a covering or a ruling. One of the um dictionaries translated as a um a magistrate with jurisdiction over a specific area. A magistrate a magistrate is somebody like a judge that gets appointed and he has jurisdiction over a specific area over an area. Now the word jurisdiction meaning he has authority to speak. iction means words. He has whatever he speaks. See, you go to a court and if you did your your crime over here in in in women, you where you wind up at San Pedro there or or this there's there's a station over here. If you go to Quantum, there's somebody who has a jurisdiction there. If you go to Long Beach, there's a jurisdiction there. If you go to Ingldwood, and you see this judge in in in in Long Beach has no authority over Englewood. You see, his word has no power over there. But if you're in this land over here, he has authority over you. He has power to speak words. That's what jurisdiction means over the area where he's at. So Paul is saying God intended for you and for me to get a hold of the mystery of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to speak to that jurisdiction and tell him, I got something to say to you that is more powerful than whatever you've been saying over here. See, that's what spiritual warfare is. Spiritual warfare is taking the words that God has given us. Hallelujah. And speak to the arch. Now, why? Why? Because this arch or this principality, this arcade, they have authority to speak things against you, against your family, against your children, against your finances, against your health. They do. This is what Satan, he's the accuser of the brethren. He is continuously accusing. you don't deserve to have good health because you smoked for so many years or you did this for so many years and so he speaks like a judge would speak to say I'm putting out a warrant against Marcos and then the powers because you see he said to speak to the principalities and to the powers the powers now go on to enforce the word see they cannot come into your house when there's a Paul, they cannot come into your house without a warrant. Who gives a warrant? The jurisdiction, the principality, the person that has the power, the Joshua magistrate has power to speak and say, "Yes, go search his house." But you got your attorney, Jesus, who has a greater power, greater word. So then this magistrate, and the reason why I'm here tonight is because I'm speaking about the magistrate that's over women. There's a magistrate over this city and the dude ain't too happy with us because we're messing up his work. Okay? We're messing up his work. But God intended for us to mess up with him. God intended for us to break up this little party that he has going on over here. God intended for us to speak to those principalities and those powers that gang violence and rape and drive by shooting and drugs and alcohol and prostitution are coming down because that's what God intended for us to do. God intended for us to speak to those things. Now the word powers is the word exosa and it means delegated authority of superhuman strength or supernatural power meaning a delegated authority meaning just like Satan gets over there he's got his magistrate over this area and he's watching over and he looks at your family and man I'm I haven't messed with him for a while I'm going to mess with him some more and so he sends some some words against you and then all of a sudden this exosa powers, meaning uh delegated authority. They now have delegated authority from this magistrate to come in and to mess with you. They're going to begin to mess with your marriage. They're going to begin to mess with your family, with your health, with your finances, and they're going to do this thing. Why? Because that's what they have been ordered to do. Okay? But then hold your place here. We're coming back over here. This is such a mother load here. But go with me to Luke 10:19. And then let me show you how Jesus deals with this situation. Luke 10:19. Jesus says, "Behold, I give you the authority." Guess what that word is? Exosa. that delegated authority of superhuman nature or supernatural power. I give you exos. Now that is what the principalities give to the power. The principality speaks and those powers with supernatural powers of the superhuman power come in and begin to mess with you. Well, Jesus says, "I give you exosa to trample on serpents and scorpions." Those are demons in case you're wondering about how they crawl upon the ground upon the earth. I give you authority to trample on serpents and corp and over all the power of the enemy. And I love how it ends and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Now the word power there is dunamis. Dunamos. This is dynamite. That is the power that is manifested. Because you see, exose is delegated authority, but it's not manifested until, in other words, it's not manifested until you become sick. If Satan speaks exosa against you, he authorizes some creature of darkness to come against you. That thing is not manifested until it becomes real, until you become sick or until you get fire, until you fall from grace and and do all kinds of weird things that we don't want to do. Okay? That is how it manifests. That's dunamis. That's power that it forces us is a supernatural strength that causes us to do things we don't want to do. Paul says in in Romans 7:20, "If I do the things that I don't want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it's sin living in me." He says, "I find this power or this law at work within me that the good that I want to do, I cannot do. And the bad that I don't want to do, I can't keep from doing. What am I going to do?" Well, we're going to have to speak to that exosa or to that power with the authority that Jesus said, "I give you authority." Did you know that Jesus has been raised up? And you read that in Ephesians, far above all principalities, far above all powers. He is the head honcho. He is a head honcho over every head honcho there is anywhere. And he has given us authority to speak. He has given us authority to speak. He has given us jurisdiction. He has given us jurisdiction. He has given us authority to speak to the principalities in power. Now a lot of us know that. But what we don't know is we don't know what to say. Why? Because it's a mystery. It's been hidden for all of these years and now all of a sudden it is revealed. It's called the manifold wisdom of God. We God intended for us, we the church to make something known to these principalities and power. And this something that we're to make known to them is a manifold wisdom of God. You say, well, what in the world is that? What is the manifold wisdom of God? Manifold wisdom of God is like a manora. This represents the Holy Spirit. The nine uh uh you have the nine uh fruits of the spirit. love, joy, peace, longs, suffering, gentleness, meekness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control, and then you have the uh uh the nine uh gift of the spirit uh word of wisdom, word of knowledge, discernment of spirit, speaking in tongue, interpreting tongues, prophesying, miracles, divine healing, and and divine power. All of the things are represented uh Matthew 5 3- 11, nine spiritual blessings. Well, here God, this manifold wisdom that God is speaking about, although they all fold flow through the Holy Spirit, comes in a seven in a minority. That's what manifold means. A a sevenfold something God has given us. He's being hidden all through the Old Testament and it is now revealed by the Holy Spirit. Let's go to Isaiah. And I believe we'll come back over here. So, you may want to mark it, but let's go to Isaiah 11. And then we'll see how this operated in Jesus because Isaiah is prophesying about Jesus in in Isaiah 11:1 and 2. Now here in in Isaiah chapter 11, Isaiah begins to prophesy about Jesus when he would come. He said, "There shall come forth a rod from the stem of Jesse. A branch shall grow out of his roots." Verse two. And this is this is what the manifold wisdom of God is. The spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him. The spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Now remember, before Jesus went into the ministry, he went to John the Baptist. John the Baptist says, "Behold the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." John the Baptist wanted to be baptized by Jesus. Jesus says, "No, it has to be done this way." As Jesus is baptized, meaning he's reckoning himself as one of us. He is coming. He's bringing himself down as a priest, a minister. He's coming down to our level. When Jesus took his robe, see, Jesus was born a king. He was worshiped as a king. When he was born, he was brought the gift of a king. And for those 12 years uh uh for those 33 years from from from that age up until when he was 30 years old, Jesus could not be touched by Satan. He could not be touched because he was a king. He is a mighty king. Any any demons that would come anywhere, Jesus will be splattered instantly in in the middle. He is a king. But when Jesus said Jesus said, "I I have come to do your will, oh father, because you were tired of of uh uh goats and bulls and the sacrifices. So you prepare a body for me." When he brought that body and he said to John the Baptist, "We have to do it this way." When Jesus took that robe in the spirit, that meant that he took his kingship. He identified himself with you and me. Because the only people that were going to John to be baptized were the sinners, were the prostitutes, were the beggars, were the the the rich of the world. They were all they John was saying, "Repent. The kingdom of God is coming." They didn't want to miss it. Said, "We live in misery and in pain and sorrow. I don't want to miss." So they were repenting. So Jesus comes and he identifies with him. And when Jesus goes onto the water and he comes up, God speaks. He says, "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased." From that day forward, Jesus walked as a priest, not as a king. He will come back as a king. And we got a glimpse of his kingship when he went up into in in into h into into the mount of transfiguration and he shone in radiance. But no, Satan, he he he was open season for Satan. From that time on, Satan came after him and came after him and tempted him with everything. He says Satan uh Satan te Previous Next Home

THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED The objective of The Year of My Redeemed is to present a biblical understanding of the close relationship between God’s vengeance and redemption, as revealed in Scripture. Pastor Marrero seeks to show that Christ’s return will be both a day of judgment for the rebellious and a day of deliverance for the faithful. The book urges believers to examine their readiness for Christ’s return, to boldly profess their faith, and to live in joyful anticipation of redemption, rather than in fear of judgment. THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of The Year of My Redeemed is to present a biblical understanding of the close relationship between God’s vengeance and redemption, as revealed in Scripture. Synopsis: The Year of My Redeemed is a Scripture-based exploration of Isaiah 63:4, where the themes of vengeance and redemption converge. Pastor Marcos unpacks the dual nature of Christ’s return: for the oppressors and unbelievers, it is a day of dread and judgment; for the oppressed and redeemed, it is a day of joy and deliverance. Using supporting passages from Psalms, Isaiah, and the New Testament, he illustrates how God’s justice, grounded in truth and righteousness, brings both accountability and salvation. The work emphasizes that all humanity has fallen short of God’s glory, yet the Good News of salvation through Christ transforms the coming judgment into a moment of triumph for believers. Pastor Marcos provides a spiritual checklist to help readers evaluate their readiness: Are they openly professing faith in Christ? Do they acknowledge Him as Creator and Redeemer? Are they calling upon His holy name with boldness? He warns against timidity and compromise, reminding believers that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus. Ultimately, the message is both sobering and encouraging: this may indeed be the year of God’s redeemed. For those who love the Lord and hate evil, His return is a promise of deliverance. For those who resist His grace, it is the unveiling of divine vengeance. The book calls every reader to urgent decision—either to remain in rebellion or to embrace redemption, proclaiming with confidence, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” (Psalm 107:2) Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 63:4 “For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.” Only in the Bible do we find this concept of vengeance and redemption so closely tied together, and to those who are worldly, this duality is very difficult to comprehend. While we, the children of faith, see Jesus and His soon return as our redemption drawing near, the world's concept of His return to the earth evokes fear and judgment, for they see Him as a vengeful God. To understand this duality, we need to understand the concept of justice. Psalm 96:13 “For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.” If you read the entire chapter, you will notice that there is a lot of singing and blessings and praise and offerings and worship, offered to the Lord throughout the entire Psalm 96, before it reaches the last verse which we just quoted, in regards to the judgment of the world. If you have been victimized by someone, when the legal authorities show up to intervene, you are happy, for the authorities come to assist those who have been victimize and to arrest those who were doing the victimizing. However, if you are the law breaker and are the one who is victimizing others, when you see the police show up, you just want to get away as soon as possible, for if they arrest you, you will have to go before the magistrate that will sentence you with the punishment that your crime deserves. So it is that the return of our Lord will always be awaited and celebrated by those who are the oppressed, and it is dreaded by those who are the oppressors. Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” Simply put, the Lord will judge the peoples with His truth. But the truth is that we are all sinners, and we all fall short of the grace of God. Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” So then why were all those folks in Psalm 96 rejoicing so much about the return of the Lord to judge all the peoples with His truth? Psalm 96:2 “Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Those who greatly rejoice about the return of our Lord to the earth, do so, because they have heard and accepted the good news of His salvation. For they know that when He returns, He is coming to deliver those who called upon His name and who have accepted God’s free offer of salvation. Psalm 97:10 “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.” The good news is this: God loves us even though we fall short of His grace, He demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus to die for all our sins. His unconditional love for us compels us to receive His offer of forgiveness and to love Him and trust Him in return. So that when we hear about His soon return, we dot not fret, but rather rejoice in the fact that He is coming to deliver us from this world of sin, and from the hand of the wicked one that continuously oppress us. But to those who have rejected His good news, and have chosen the pleasures of sin for a season, His return can only mean one thing, swift and complete judgment is at hand. Isaiah 63:3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes.” The day of His vengeance and the year of His redeemed have to do with those who are His enemies and with those who are His saints. For He has caused His good news to travel all around the world, He has anointed His Word and revealed His love for us. Those who love Him and hate evil, He will come for and deliver them out of this world. Those who have resisted and rejected the anointed good news, will be judged as enemies who deserve to be destroyed. Isaiah 63:10 “But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.” This may very well be the year of His redeemed, are you ready? Here is a checklist of things that may help us identify whether we are ready for His return if it were to happen this year. Are you inwardly being restrained in your faith and the profession of it? Are you afraid or ashamed to openly declare your faith in Jesus? Matthew 10:32-33 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” You be surprised to know how many people struggle with publicly professing their faith in Jesus, normally in the maturity process we eventually grow bold and overcome those fears. But if this is the year of His redeemed, you may not have that luxury. So, you better begin to make up your mind right now to declare His name openly and without fear. For as His return nears, we have no time for timidity, since we are commanded in: Psalm 96:2 “...Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Today, right now, would be a good time to start proclaiming His good news from day to day. Do you acknowledge Him as the Creator of heaven and earth? Do you acknowledge Him as your heavenly Father, and Jesus His only begotten Son as your redeemer? The world’s aim is to bring doubt into our hearts and minds. The so-called knowledge of the sciences is the vehicle that the devil uses to enter into our minds with his load of doubts. We need to know what the Word of God teaches about the sciences. Colossian 2:8-10 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Science teaches about the things that exist from the point of view of man’s limited understanding. We on the other hand, know the Creator, we believe in the creative power of His uncompromising Word. Do you call on His holy name? Did you know that salvation cannot be attained under any name or anything that is named, except in the name of Jesus? Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” It is all about Jesus my friends, and if this turns out to be the year when He returns to redeem His saints, let us, we the saints, never cease to profess, to acknowledge, and to proclaim His wonderful name boldly! Psalm 107:2 “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Previous Next Home

  • THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the power of the healing anointing, how it flows from God through the Holy Spirit, and why walking in the truth of God’s Word is essential for experiencing that power. It aims to equip Christians not only to recognize that they are already anointed through salvation, but also to walk in the fullness of God’s power that brings healing, deliverance, and transformation. THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the power of the healing anointing, how it flows from God through the Holy Spirit, and why walking in the truth of God’s Word is essential for experiencing that power. It aims to equip Christians not only to recognize that they are already anointed through salvation, but also to walk in the fullness of God’s power that brings healing, deliverance, and transformation. Synopsis: In The Anointing That Heals, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores the scriptural foundation of God’s healing power as revealed through the anointing of Jesus Christ (Acts 10:38). He explains that while all believers are anointed with the Holy Spirit at salvation, not all walk in the power of that anointing because of a lack of enlightenment in the truth of God’s Word. The Spirit of Truth only bears witness to God’s Word and glorifies Christ, which means that to walk in the power of the anointing, believers must remain faithful and aligned with Scripture. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that without the Spirit of God we are helpless, without Jesus we are powerless, and without the Word of God we are directionless. He challenges believers to examine their relationship with God’s Word, since handling it deceitfully or with unbelief hinders the flow of the Spirit’s power. Liberty, transformation, and healing are promised where the Spirit of the Lord is present (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). The teaching also highlights that the healing anointing often follows a process of inner transformation. Even in moments of weakness, failure, or delay, God’s love and grace remain constant, and His power is revealed in faithfulness. Through personal testimony, Pastor Marcos shares how God’s anointing has shown up even in his failures, proving that the miracle is always the work of the Anointer, not the vessel. Ultimately, the lesson stresses that the believer’s role is to show up, pray, anoint, and declare God’s Word—leaving the results to Him. The bottom line of the healing anointing is rooted in God’s unchanging love and compassion. As Jesus declared, “all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23), reminding us that the anointing that heals flows from God’s truth, His Spirit, and His everlasting love for His people. Inspired Teaching: Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” When I started teaching about the anointing oil, it immediately became clear to me that more lessons would be required just to touch on the basic principles of God's anointing. In this lesson we will deal with the power of the healing anointing, or a different way to look at it, the anointing that heals! Now the very first thing that I want you to notice in our opening Scripture is how Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. This is very important, notice how it describes Jesus as having both, the anointing and the power that comes through the anointing. Now why is that important? Every believer that is saved in Jesus Christ has been anointed with the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized (plunged) into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink (partake) into one Spirit (anointing).” So that all believers are anointed with the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” But not all believers walk in the power of the anointing, now why is that? There are several issues here that we can point at, but at the foundation of everyone of these failures we will find that it is because they are all lacking in the enlightenment of what the truth of the Word of God is. John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” The Spirit of Truth will not bear witness to falsehoods, nor to things that do not glorify the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just like Jesus did not come to do His own thing, but only to speak that which He heard from the Father above. Since the anointing comes from God then all things must revert to God and to His Word, for that is from Whom the anointing flows. John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.” So that we can see an extremely clear pattern of how the workings of the anointing flows. The Holy Spirit does not bear witness to Himself but of Jesus and the work that He accomplished. Jesus does not bear witness of Himself or the work that He accomplished, but He bears witness to the God from Whom all blessings flow. So that all who are anointed by the Spirit of God, if they want the power of the Spirit of God flowing through them, must remain faithful and true to the Word of Truth that governs the outpouring of the power of the Spirit of God in our midst. And that is without the Spirit of God we are helpless, and without the name of Jesus we are powerless, and without the guidance of the Word of God we are clueless and hopelessly lost. So let us begin with this point then, what is your relationship with the Word of God? Is the Word of God your only Truth? 2 Corinthians 4:2 “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” Paul was dealing with how the minds of the Jews of his day were blinded every time they read the Word of God, so that the Truth of the Word that they were reading could not penetrate their hearts. And that is what happens to many today that are anointed because of their salvation in Jesus Christ, but lack the power of the Spirit of God in their lives because they are handling the Word of God deceitfully. How do I know if I am lacking the power of the Spirit of God in my life? 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” What are the things that hinder us? What are the things that bind us? What are the things that we are lacking? If we honestly ask ourselves these questions and come up with things in our lives that truly hinder us, and find that there are issues in our lives that bind us to things that we do not want to be bound to, and realize that as Christians there are things promised to us that we are lacking, what do we do about it? 2 Corinthians 4:1 “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have receive mercy, we do not lose heart.” The most important thing for us, is to realize that God is not against us; sin in the New Testament is defined as missing the mark, God does not want us to miss the mark. He wants us to receive all the blessings that He has already made available to us. Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Remember that the key to the anointing power is truth, the above verse is powerfully liberating truth. I have been walking by faith in the Word of God for a while now, it will be thirty seven years this coming June, do you want to know what truth really is? Here is truth, Jesus loves us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, no matter what! Even when we are lacking the power of His anointing in our lives, He is right here. He will not go away, and He will never stop trying to get us into the true knowledge of His Word, so that we can receive the power of His anointing in our lives. He wants us to succeed. He does not want to see us lacking. He does not want to see us sick. He definitely does not want to see us powerless. In my many years walking with Him I have experienced a lot more failures than victories in the natural side of the ledger, but yet somehow out of the very failures of my many weaknesses He somehow always gained the victory in my life, and all because I did not quit in the face of failure. As a matter of fact, it has been in the midst of my greatest defeats that I have always experienced His greatest anointing. 2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” One of the greatest revelations that I’ve ever received from the Lord was while I was worshipping Him in a church service. The song that we were singing was, Here I am to worship; all of a sudden the Lord revealed to me in the middle of that song, the many schemes that the enemy had employed through the years to try to destroy my faith in Jesus. Things that I knew and many that I did not know. He just simply said to me, in spite of all that the enemy has done to try to destroy you, My grace is sufficient for you, and that was all the truth that I’ve ever needed. But we also need to understand that the power of the anointing follows a process of gradual transformation, and it requires steadfastness in our part. You see the true healing anointing begins in the inside of us. So that even when we do not see any immediate results we need to remain faithful to the truth of God’s promises, for He always comes through for us, although it may be years before we realize it, if ever while in this earth, for some, if not many of God’s greatest miracles on our behalf may never be known by us until we get to heaven. I have seen God heal a dying man from cancer even after my failure to pray for him, for I was intimidated by the hopelessness of the situation, but just the fact that I showed up to pray for the man was good enough for Jesus to heal him in spite of my failure to pray for him, although the man that got healed told everybody that I had prayed for him and that was how he was healed, yet I knew better than that, for I know for certain that I never prayed for the man. But I learned a great lesson that day, for the Lord spoke to me and said that my job was just to show up and pray, and that the rest was up to Him. So that it is our job to show up and not be intimidated by how hopeless the situation may seem. We are to pray, to anoint with oil, to proclaim the Word of God to those who are infirmed or bound by the enemy. But the miracle is always left up to the Anointer, the Spirit of Truth. I’ll close with this, a Scripture that I once heard an unbeliever proclaim on TV that it was so puzzling to him that he did not understand it and could not explain it. Mark 9:23-24 “Jesus said to him, ‘if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” The deaf and dumb spirit that troubled the child was rebuked by our Lord and commanded never to enter into the child again. What was the criteria for this miracle? A father needed help to get his son healed. The Lord helped him on the basis of His compassion and love. There are all kinds of things that we need to do, and there are all kinds of things that we need to learn, and there are so many Scriptures that we need to understand better, but at the root of all these things we need to know that He is a God that loves us, that He is compassionate towards us, and that He is more willing to help us in our time of need that we are to ask for His help. He will work with us to train us, He will teach us how to respect His anointing, and He will lead us into the valley of trust and leave us out there for a while if need be so that we may learn how to trust Him more. But the bottom line is this: HE LOVES US NO MATTER WHAT! AND THAT IS THE TRUTH. Previous Next Home

  • THE SIN OF SEPARATION | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE SIN OF SEPARATION The objective of this teaching is to help believers recognize how iniquities separate them from God, understand the generational roots of inherited sin, and embrace the covenant of salvation in Christ that breaks these strongholds. It emphasizes the believer’s responsibility to walk in their new nature through prayer, fasting, and self-denial so that their relationship with God is restored, their prayers are heard, and they bear the fruit of the Spirit. THE SIN OF SEPARATION Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers recognize how iniquities separate them from God, understand the generational roots of inherited sin, and embrace the covenant of salvation in Christ that breaks these strongholds. It emphasizes the believer’s responsibility to walk in their new nature through prayer, fasting, and self-denial so that their relationship with God is restored, their prayers are heard, and they bear the fruit of the Spirit. Synopsis: In The Sin of Separation, Pastor Marcos explains how sin—specifically iniquities—creates a barrier between believers and God, causing Him to hide His face and refuse to hear their prayers (Isaiah 59:2). Unlike simple acts of sin, iniquities are often inherited predispositions to sin, passed down through generations due to ancestral idolatry (Exodus 20:5). Thus, many struggles, flaws, or weaknesses in a believer’s life can trace their roots to generational iniquity. However, God’s covenant of mercy promises blessings to those who love Him and keep His commandments (Exodus 20:6). Through Jesus Christ, the last Adam, believers are transformed into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and made partakers of His divine nature. Yet, even with this new nature, the old nature remains, requiring believers to put to death the works of the flesh through deliberate spiritual discipline (Colossians 3:1-5). Pastor Marcos highlights that prayer and fasting are key in breaking the strongholds of iniquity (Matthew 17:21). Fasting denies the flesh and its selfish desires, while prayer brings revelation knowledge and empowers faith to overcome unbelief. He draws symbolic connections between numbers in Scripture—such as seventeen (works of the flesh) and nine (fruit of the Spirit)—to reveal God’s design for deliverance and transformation. When multiplied (17 × 9 = 153), the result points to the redeemed “sons of God” (John 21:11). Ultimately, the lesson underscores that separation from God is overcome through Christ’s covenant, by walking in self-control, producing spiritual fruit, and embracing disciplines that break generational bondage. True restoration comes when believers humble themselves before God in prayer and fasting, allowing Him to convert the soul and draw them back into unbroken fellowship with Him. Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” How do sincere Christians know if their relationship with God is in a estate of separation? For if our relationship with God is estranged, no matter how hard we pray, we can be certain that He will not hear us. In our opening text we are told that iniquities are the culprits. Not only in separating us from God, but also the reason that we continue to sin in a matter that causes God to hide His face from us, so that we will not be the recipients of God’s answers to our prayers anytime soon. The problem with iniquity is that in many instances they were transferred to us through our genetic code. That means that many of us were born with character flaws, physical flaws, and weaknesses, that predisposed us to struggle with certain sins and ailments in our lives. Since we know who the culprit is, let us take a Scriptural look at how iniquities work, so that we can figure out how to get rid of them. Exodus 20:5 “You shall not bow to them nor serve them (idols). For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me.” All of us are the product of two parents, four grandparents, eight great-grandparents and sixteen great-great-grandparents, if we go four generations back. If any of those thirty people in our immediate lineage practiced idolatry, their act of hatred towards God opened the door within our family line to be afflicted with the consequences of their iniquitous sin. We could say that iniquity is our inherited predisposition to sin, and we can take that one all the way back to Adam. We may think, well that it is not fair, for us to be born with such a burden of sin, a sin that we did not even take part in, but from God’s point of view we see a different trade off if you will. Exodus 20:6 “But showing mercy to thousands (of generations), to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” Salvation is a covenant, and once we enter into the covenant of salvation that Jesus mediated for us, we guarantee that our seed will be part of the covenant of salvation forever, long after we’ve been gone. Acts 3:25-26 “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’ To you first, God, having raised up His servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your iniquities.” And the way that God turned away our iniquities from us, was by transforming our sinful nature, that in the natural resembles the first Adam who was made after the flesh, to be conformed to the image of the last Adam, Jesus Christ our Lord, through the born again experience, who came to bless us with His incorruptible nature. 1 Corinthians 15:22 “For as in Adam all died, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.” The covenant for us who are in Christ Jesus is this, we have become partakers of the divine nature of Jesus, we are part of His body. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” But just like with every covenant, there are actions that are required of those who are under the covenant, in order for them to possess the benefits that are stipulated within the covenant and make it theirs. Colossians 3:1-2, 5 “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on things on the earth...Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Yes, we have a new nature, but we still have the old nature as well, the nature that contains all the iniquities that it had inherited through the sins of idolatry committed by our ancestors, and we are commanded to put those contaminated things that remain within our flesh to death. Matthew 17:21 “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” After His disciples failed to cure a boy who suffered from epileptic seizures, Jesus told them that their failure was due to their unbelief, or lack of faith. He told them that if they dare to believe, that with the power of faith they would be able to move mountains and that nothing would be impossible for them. Then Jesus added, within the context of His disciples needing more faith, that prayer and fasting were a requirement as well, in order for them to remove the demonic stronghold that they had failed to dislodge. Fasting has to do with denying the flesh that still bears the image of the first Adam, in other words we need to be operating within the realm of self-control instead of selfish-ambitions. Prayer has to do with asking for the revelation knowledge that they lacked while dealing with the situation that they had failed to resolve. Let’s take a closer look and see what we can learn from it. It was a father and son situation, a boy who probably suffered from these seizures since early childhood, so that his infirmity had to be the result of iniquity that he had inherited. It is not by coincidence that the number seventeen is found in relation to both the story recorded in Matthew chapter seventeen, and in verse seventeen of 2 Corinthians 5, where we are told of our new nature. So that the number seventeen is the key that connects both the old and the new nature. The number seventeen is the seventh prime number, seven is the number of perfection; and it is in verse twenty-one, 3 X 7 = 21 of Matthew 17: where we are given the key by Jesus about praying and fasting to completely remove the strongholds of iniquity from all three, spirit, soul, and body. Seventeen is also the sum of our sixteen great-great-grandparents and us. So that in the four generations we find the number sixteen at their foundation, and we ourselves sit as number one on the top of this fleshly pyramid of our four generations ancestry. That means that iniquity has a number and so does our new nature. When we multiply the number seventeen which is the number of the flesh according to: Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery (1), fornication (2), uncleanness (3), lewdness (4), idolatry (5), sorcery (6), hatred (7), contentions (8), jealousies (9), outbursts of wrath (10), selfish ambitions (11), dissentions (12), heresies (13), envy (14), murders (15), drunkenness (16), revelries (17), and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things will not inherit (the promises of deliverance from iniquity) the kingdom of God.” By the number nine, which is the number of spiritual fruit: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love (1), joy (2), peace (3), longsuffering (4), kindness (5), goodness (6), faithfulness (7), gentleness (8), self-control (9). Against such there is no law (the law that visits iniquity from the fathers to their children is abolished).” We come up with the number that classifies us as children of God’s new nature: 17 X 9 = 153. John 21:11 “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.” The number 153 is the numerical value for the Hebrew phrase sons of Elohim, the enlightened sons of God, which encompasses all of the redeemed from all of the ages. We are already children of God, heirs of His promises, so what is the common denominator here? Romans 8:17 “And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed (acts prompted by our faith, like fasting and praying) we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Are you surprised that the answer is found in a verse of Scripture that has been assigned with the number seventeen as well? Here is the key, acts of selfish ambitions are always the works of the flesh, and along with the works of the flesh are the workings of iniquity manifested. Spiritual fruit flows out of a heart of love that wants to fulfill the law of Christ, that is, it desires to walk under the power of self-control. Fasting has to do with a lot more than just not eating, it has to do with depriving the flesh of its wantonness. Self-denial can be attained through honest prayer, for when the human heart appears before the presence of God humbled and broken, in the spirit of contrition, God always attends to its needs, and there is where a true converting of the soul takes place, in the secret place of the broken heart. Psalm 19:7 “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” Previous Next Home

  • THE DUALITY OF LIFE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE DUALITY OF LIFE To explain the eternal duality of life as revealed in Scripture—being either “inside” or “outside” of God’s kingdom—and to emphasize that faith in God’s Word and obedience to its truth determine one’s eternal destiny. The lesson seeks to encourage belief in God’s promises, warn against deception and falsehood, and invite all to choose life by thirsting for and receiving the living water freely offered through Christ. THE DUALITY OF LIFE Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To explain the eternal duality of life as revealed in Scripture—being either “inside” or “outside” of God’s kingdom—and to emphasize that faith in God’s Word and obedience to its truth determine one’s eternal destiny. The lesson seeks to encourage belief in God’s promises, warn against deception and falsehood, and invite all to choose life by thirsting for and receiving the living water freely offered through Christ. Synopsis: The Duality of Life centers on Revelation 22:14–15, where Scripture draws a sharp distinction between those who enter the celestial city and those left outside. The teaching highlights that life and eternity hinge on a simple but profound truth: one is either “in” or “out.” The deciding factor is faith—belief in God’s Word and the willingness to live by its precepts. The message traces how faith opens the way to eternal life, while unbelief results in exclusion. Those who reject God’s Word are said to practice a lie, building their lives on delusion, idolatry, and false promises. This downward progression ultimately leads to immorality, sorcery, hatred, and murder, all of which characterize those outside God’s city. By contrast, those who hear, thirst, and respond to God’s invitation are drawn into the life-giving reality of His Word. Tribulations often awaken this thirst, leading believers from temporary desires to eternal ones. Preaching and teaching God’s Word play a vital role in stirring faith, for “faith comes by hearing.” The contrast is clear: God’s Word is truth, while unbelief is a lie. The eternal destiny of every soul depends on their response to this truth. In the end, the teaching exhorts the reader to choose wisely: to embrace God’s Word, drink freely of the living water, and thereby be counted among the blessed who enter into life—rather than the deceived who remain outside forever. Inspired Teaching: Revelation 22:14-15 “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” The one thing about life is that your are either in or you are out. When the final judgment day comes it will be the same, you are either in or you are out. What decides as to whether one makes it in or out depends on what we believe. Those who believe the Word of God and try to live by its precepts will have the right to enter into the celestial city, however those who choose not to believe what the Word of God says will be left out. Faith is what casts the final vote, for even atheists believe, for they have faith in their belief that there is no God. Everyone that chooses not to believe in the Word of God practices a lie, and by their own actions they keep themselves out of the celestial city. After all I bet that you never heard of a person that wants to travel to a city that they do not believe it really exists. Revelation 22:6 “Then he said to me, ‘These words (and the fulfillment of these prophetic words) are faithful and true.’ And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.” So that it is the words that are written in the Bible and their prophetic fulfillment that we are required to believe in if we want to enter into His eternal abode; for failure to do so will keep us out forever. Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” A person that is allowed to enter through the pearly gates into the celestial city is in deed truly blessed! What is it that draws people to believe what the Bible teaches? Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Three things are listed that progressively will lead a person to take the water of life freely, which is to have faith in the Word of God. You have to have ears to hear the invitation of the Spirit and the bride. A person who is not thirsty does not look for a drink, for there is no desire, no thirst within him. Such a person does not hear the call until there is a need. Jesus told us that in this world we would have tribulations. For as it turns out, it is mostly when we are having problems or are in a desperate need that we try to reach out and hear from God; and that is God’s desire for us, that we turn to Him even if it is only when we are in need. However, once we hear Him, His desire is that we progress into thirsting for eternal things rather than the temporal things that we usually crave. As we begin to read and study the Word of God, the emphasis for our life will begin to change from that of temporal things to eternal things. Once our desires are changed, the things that we thirst for will also change, but none of that can happen until we hear from the Word of God. Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” This is why we preach and teach the Word of God, so that when there is a need in your life that the world cannot cure, and remember that the world’s cure is always worse than the disease itself. You would turn to Him who is able to satisfy you with His living waters, that once you partake of, you will never thirst again for they are eternal. In the list of those who are kept out we see a progression as well: Revelation 22:15 “But outside are dogs (unbelievers) and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” It all begins, or should I say begin and end, with a lie, which is the absence of the truth, for those who refuse to hear the Word of God. God is truth. His Word is truth. A man’s refusal to believe in the truth makes that man a liar, and a person that is a liar is an idolater. For that person refuses to believe in the truth, or in what is real, and the purpose of believing that which is not truth or real is a delusion. Zechariah 10:2 “For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies and tell false dreams…” Idolaters are void of the truth of God’s love and the opposite of love is hate; hate that leads to the murdering of those who believe in the truth. John 8:43-44 “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Sexual immorality is the physical representation of idolatry, which is the lusting after the things that are not really real. Things that do not offer real satisfaction, for the lusting after them is based on diluted reasoning. 1 Corinthians 10:8 “Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.” Sorcerers traffic in the trade of illusions that are manufactured through the manipulation of the human senses by external as well as internal means, as in drug abuse. Sensuality goes hand in hand with sexual immorality or in other words, the allure that they both offer is an illusion that will never truly satisfy the thirsty soul. So that none of those lying crafts or those who continue to practice them will make it into the heavenly New Jerusalem, for God will judge them. Jesus told us that it all began with them not being able to hear, for had they been able to listen to His Word, their desires would have been transformed into godly desires as the Word of God judged them internally by exposing the desires of their hearts that were based on a lie, and they would have thirsted for that which is real and satisfying instead, which is the truth of God’s Word. 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 “For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person.” Those who can clearly hear the Word of God will develop a thirst for it, and those who thirst after the Word of God will have all their desires totally satisfied, as it is written: Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely! So which side of life do you want to be on? Do you want to be in the inside of life, or on the outside of life? How you regard the Holy Scriptures will determine which side of life you end up with! The devil, the world, the secular media, secular humanists, godless politicians, godless professors, the supreme court, and everybody else that they can get to ride their omnibus, will try to persuade you not to listen or prohibit you from listening and adhering to the Word of God and to its life giving principles. The irony is that you truly have a choice, choose life! Previous Next Home
