- DISCERNING SPIRITS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
DISCERNING SPIRITS Written Teaching Pastor Marcos Marrero February 23, 2007 Objective Equip believers to understand and practice the gift of discerning of spirits (1 Corinthians 12:10) by identifying hate as the “strongman” behind many manifestations of evil, recognizing how these spirits operate, and learning to replace them with the indwelling Holy Spirit and the love of God. Synopsis The teaching frames spiritual discernment as essential because our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual powers. Using Matthew 12:43–45, it explains how an unclean spirit, once expelled, seeks reentry; if the “house” (the inner life) is left empty, it returns with seven worse spirits, leaving the person in a worse condition. Therefore, deliverance must be followed by filling—with the Holy Spirit and love. The message traces today’s “wicked generation” to idolatry and resulting iniquity (Exodus 20:4–5; Psalm 7:14). Idolatry equals hatred toward God; where hatred resides, it breeds further corruption. Proverbs 26:24–26 is presented as the key: a hating heart hides behind smooth words yet holds seven abominations that will manifest publicly. These seven abominations (rooted in hate and often aligning with lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) are outlined from Proverbs: Pride in heart—the mask that partners with hate (Prov 16:5). Sacrifice of the wicked—religious activity from wrong motives (Prov 15:8; cf. Luke 18:11–13). Thoughts of the wicked—a mindset that produces slander, gossip, and put-downs (Prov 15:26). Perverse heart—malice that delights in others’ harm (Prov 11:20). Lying lips—deceit used to get ahead; envy and self-seeking (Prov 12:22; cf. Jas 3:14). Dishonest scales—systemic dishonesty in life and work (Prov 11:1). Perverse person—a counterfeit self formed by sustained deceit and sin (Prov 3:32). Practical ministry application: discern the spirit behind behaviors (e.g., anger, slander), respond with prayer and blessing rather than retaliation, and aim at the root of hate (including self-hate), not merely the symptoms. The antidote is God’s love poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5, 8). When love fills the “house,” returning spirits find no vacancy. Believers are assured that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ (Rom 8:37–39). The call is to maintain a Spirit-filled life so the fruits of love (Gal 5:22–23) displace the fruits of hate, securing lasting freedom. Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Amen. Praise God. I didn't make copies for this uh but I posted them on the House of Faith Ministries um uh web page. Um and in 1 Corinthians 12:10 is I got three pages, so I don't know how how far I'm going to go with this, but I definitely want to lay out the um um the framework. But in 1 Corinthians 12:10, uh Paul lists nine different spirits. And uh I just broke in there into the middle of it where it says uh to another prophecy and to another discerning of spirits. Fred asked me to teach in um in the spiritual discernment. This is a gift. If you reading in 1 Corinthians 12 says that the gift are given for the profit of all for all of the believer to profit. So in 1 Corinthians towards the end after Romans, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts and then Romans and then 1 Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians 12, it lists nine of this spirit. And I want to speak tonight specifically on the one having to do with discerning of spirits. Um now why is it important for us to have spiritual discernment? Well the Bible says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and power. So our battle with spirit. If you have a a problem with anger or if you have a spouse or a child or or a parent that u has a problem with anger and it affects your life. Anger is a spirit. And uh if you try to deal with a situation with anger in the natural, guess what? There's going to be a fight, an argument. Usually how we do the same way with you name, you name any of those areas and it will happen like that. It has to do with with spirit. So understanding, spiritual discernment is the gift that God has given to us. It's a spiritual gift. the Holy Spirit has put it in us. As we develop this ability to understand spirits, it will make it so much easier for us to understand ourselves, why we do the things that we do and uh understanding others that we relate with. in Matthew uh 12:es 43, 44, and 45. Matthew, the first of the gospels in the New Testament, um Jesus gives us an insight into how spirits operate. And so beginning in in verse 43 of Matthew uh 12, it says, "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man," Matthew, the first book in the in the New Testament, "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest and finds none." Then he says,"I will return to my house from which I came." And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and take with him seven other spirits, more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation. Now Jesus is giving us an insight into spiritual discernment. He says when you are able by your own strength to deal with a spirit that is within you and you're able to say you know what this is it I'm not going to do this no more and you're powerful enough to drive that quality in your life that that bother you says this spirit goes out leaves he sees us the body as a house that's what he calls it and but when he's kicked out of the house. He looks for another place. Can't find it. That's what Jesus says. He's looking for He's wandering through dry places and he finds no rest anywhere. So he says, "I'm going to come back to the house, see if there's a way that I can back in." Then he comes back to the house. He finds it clean, swept, and everything in order. Because many you decided, I'm going to get my life right. I'm going to do the things that I need to do. And then you get rid of some of the things. But here it's talking about a person that evidently is doing it on their own strength. The spirit, the unclean spirit comes back, finds a house nice and clean, and it finds that uh is empty as far as another spirit operating in there, which is why we need the Holy Spirit to dwell in every area of our soul. And so he knows that this person is going to be able to kick him out again. So what does he does before he goes back into the house? Jesus says that he finds seven other spirits more wicked than himself and then they come back into the man or the person and now this person is in worse shape than it was when it began. Now, how many of us have been there where we said, you know what, I'm going to get my life right, man. I'm not I'm going to stop doing this. I'm And we make oursel that commitment that we're not going to do certain things anymore. And we do pretty good for a while and then all of a sudden things begin to fall apart and before you know it we wish, man, I wish I would have never tried to mess with this thing because we wind up being in worse shape than we were the first time. Why? Because we were able to clean the house. We were able to get rid of those things that that that that we didn't want no part of. But these things somehow knew how to get back in. And this time came a lot stronger. And then we wind up being in a worse mess. You know, it's the truth that for us human, every time we try to do the right thing, we wind up sometimes we wind up in a lot worse shape. So this is the setting here that I want to use for understanding how spiritual uh understanding can help us in this. First of all, in Psalm 7:14, we need to identify who this spirit is. who the spirit that dwells in the house that is able to summon these other seven spirits. Uh uh so uh the first key is at the end of Matthew in verse 45 where Jesus says so shall it also be with this wicked generation. Jesus is saying that when there is a generation that is wicked people are open to this demonic infestation. So in Psalm 7:14, this is what Psalm 7:14 says, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." Psalm 7:14, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." Now, what is iniquity? Iniquity is inherited sin. Meaning that we're living in a generation that is paying the price for the sins of our fathers and our forefathers. You see, if the church would have been operating in the power of the spirit and anointing instead of being caught up in idolatry, this generation wouldn't be wicked. This because that's what the church job is. The job of the church is to convict the world of ungodliness. the church by the power and the anointing that he has is able to to to preach to a generation and convict the the ungodliness that's going around. You know, back there was a time to where in radio or in television there were words that you wouldn't dare mention. The the people will have such an uproar if certain things were said in the movies that they made. Now, Europe wasn't like that. In Europe, they were showing all kinds of bad things and the directors here kept saying, "How can we get this in America? How can we get this in America? How come in Europe, they have all of the well only five or 10% of the people in Europe go to church while over 50% of the people in America go to church?" That was a difference. But you see, Satan had to find a way to get that wickedness into here. And and the the way to do it was to corrupt or contaminate the church because anytime a church gets involved with idolatry, that church loses his spiritual power because the spiritual power comes from God and God is pure and God is holy and God does not h mix us with sin. So once a church the message that a church proclaimed is contaminated with idolatry or sin loses its power, loses the Holy Spirit moves out of it. And so you see it that you can go now to your TV and watch a movie from the 40s and watch a movie from the 50s and then watch something that is on MTV right now and you can see the difference. I mean I'm old enough. I was born in 47 where I can see the difference. They speak on regular TV. You can be watching regular normal TV and they speak words that that would make you blush. I remember 30, 40 years ago, you would hear that and you make you blush. They speak of of of of things like why? Because this generation that we're living on because of the lack of the spiritual authority that the church fails to enforce is a generation of wickedness. And Jesus says that to that wicked generation, the people in that wicked generation are exposed to the demon that the spirit that is in all of us resident that when we kick him out because that's what you want to do. You want to live your life without being bound to anything is able to summon up seven other spirits worse than themselves to where they come in and make the people worse. Now, you hear things in the news today, like, for example, that u a a a guy just goes up and gets a gun and shoots 20 or 30 totally and completely innocent people that he never saw, that he never met, that he couldn't care. He kills him and then kills himself. They speak to these mass murderers that that were caught. Well, there's a spirit, there's a force, there's something that got into them that's driving them. Their lives were not their lives anymore. They hear voices. They they heard the voices say, "Go and kill such and such person." We're living in that generation. And thank God, I think that this is the last generation. I think Jesus is coming back in this generation. You know, I believe that that we have a big door opening in a couple of years for the return of the Lord. And I'm looking for the signs and and and uh there's troops massing right now in Syria and in Israel. And there's um uh uh things happening in nature. There was a meteorite or something that fell either in Chile or Argentina someplace. 200 people were sick from this thing. Uh there was a big flash, a bright light that went over New Mexico. They don't know what it was. There's things happening in the spirit. Why? Because in this end time generation, there's going to be a confrontation or a battle between spirits. the spirit of righteous, the spirit of God is going to confront the spirit of Satan. It is it is going to happen before the Lord returns. Okay? And and the idea is for us not to be contaminated so that when this battle takes place, we have the authority of God. Because you see, one of the things is that when the authority of God is upon you, Satan can't touch you. And so spiritual discernment is the key for us to know what spirit we're operating on, what spirit the people around us are operating on so that we can understand. So this is vital to for understanding what's going on. We're on a wicked generation. Now in Exodus 24 and 5 when God gave the ten commandments, he said that commandment was number one was do not make any images. You know the Lord your God is one. Worship him alone. No idolatry. Idolatry was forbidden. And then in in verse four of Exodus 20, it says, "Because I am a yellow God. And the sins of the father is passed on to the children to the third and to the fourth generation." That's what iniquity is. So it says in Psalm uh uh 7:14, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." So wicked, the word wicked has to do with idolatry. When you worship idols, immediately there's an iniquity that flows and it goes to three or four generations. So we as a church had to look back and said, where was the church three or four generations ago? Because if the church is powerless, then the church got into idolatry. And that's why wickedness is going into the church today. You say, "Well, how can you prove that it's in the church today?" Well, look at the statistics. Here in the United States, we have enough people that go to church faithfully that they do a statistic all over. Divorce in in the national rate and in the Christians, the people that go to church and claim to be Christian, it's the same the same. There there's no disparity. There's not less Christians and and more unbelievers. Uh uh look at cancer. How many Christians dies of cancer versus how many people in the world die of cancer? Look at it's the same. We're no different. The Christian going to church today has the same chances to having these things happen to him that it does in the world. Now why is that? Well, because the church is definitely has allowed this iniquity to come in. Has allowed it because of idolatry, because of compromise, because of whichever way it came is affecting us. So, we as Christians need spiritual discernment to understand what spirits are behind what's going on if we're going to uh uh to prosper in this. Now, the root of wickedness is idolatry. And the root of idolatry is hatred towards God. Because God says in in in Exodus 25, he says, "I the Lord your God am a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me." God says, "Those who commit idolatry hate me." As a matter of fact, first John, I think John in first or second John says, "Love of the world is hatred towards God." You cannot get any more plain than that. Love of the world is hatred towards God. Doesn't it say that? Okay. So, hate or hatred is at the root of wickedness and and and u iniquity is all there. Why? Because when you are saying to God, I don't want to worship you God. I'd rather worship this other thing myself whatever you're hating God. You see, in in in in in the Hebrew sense of the word, when Jesus says, "If you don't hate your mother or hate your your father uh uh and love me, you have no part of me." We cannot understand that thinking. But in the Hebrew word, there's no in the Hebrew language, there's no word for in between. You either love or you hate. There's no middle ground to where, oh yeah, I love God, but I also love this. No, no. You love God, you hate everything else. I mean, God gives us everything else. But but that is the mentality of it. And God is saying, if you have any hint of idolatry and anything that you do, you hate me. That's what he says. Because idolatry is hatred towards God. And idolatry is the root of all wickedness and and the root of all contamination. So God sees any part of idolatry as hate, hatred towards him. And that opens the door for this inherited sin. A wicked generation is the generation that hates God. Now tell me if you can can reason, does this generation that we live today, does it hate God? Ask yourself the question in school. You cannot carry the Bible. Did you know here in California, they can teach the Quran? They have a the Muslim months that just started Ramadan. They teach the kids how to use the the veil and how to pray. They're they can teach all of that. They say, "Well, that's not religion. That's culture." They'll call it that. They use whatever. California, you can do that. But you walk with that Bible right there right now and you're gone. Uh this guy Madina, the president of Iran, he's going to speak in Colombia University. People are now say, "Well, we believe in freedom of speech. We believe that that that that different ideas have to be given a forum." Did you know that there was a guy that was going to speak there that believes that homosexuality is is is an abomination to the Lord? He will not be allowed to speak. Why? Because he's speaking the word of God. They have freedom of speech for everybody else, but not for God, the Bible. They have freedom of religion for everybody else, culture, but not God. And so, we living in a generation that hates God. As a matter of fact, this what marks this this year right here right now, I have never seen in in the 42 years that I've been in this country, I have never seen so much hatred as I have seen today. I mean, our president, if you don't agree with him, it's not like it used to be you didn't like this president, you don't like this president, you just don't support. No, there's pure nothing but pure hatred right now towards different polit and it's in both sides. This is why so-called Christians go and bomb abortion clinics and shoot people. We are in a generation that is infested with hate. And that hate now is what opens the door for the seven worst spirits to come in. And so this is the revelation that the Lord has given given me for tonight that a wicked generation is a generation that is into idolatry. And that idolatry, God sees a hatred towards him. And that hatred opens the door now, like Jesus said, for this spirit, for the person that is trying to live a right life because you don't have to be a conservative or liberal or or this or that or the other, black or white or yellow or blue. Everybody wants to be the best they can. Nobody wakes up in the morning and said, "Man, I want to be an able person today." Everybody gets up and wants to be the best they can. and you get your house in order and you try to get your house in order, but because we're in this wicked generation, this spirits have clean access. They have like a freeway built right into us with no toll booth or nothing. They just go right in there. And so, so now according to Jesus, these seven different kinds of spirits emanate or come from hate. Now this is interesting because in uh Galatians 5:22-23 where the fruit of the spirits are lifted. You read there it says the fruit now fruits plural the fruit singular the fruit of the spirit is love. And then out of love come joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, gentleness, meekness, self-control, faithfulness. out of love. See, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. The love that God demonstrated for us where he shed his love abroad in our hearts opens the door for us to receive fruit. Let me define fruit as the manifestation of the love of God. See, when I love somebody, when I'm good to somebody, when I'm faithful to my word, when I walk in righteousness, when when when I'm meek and humble, when I do all of the things, they're all a manifestation of love. Love is a fruit. When the my bornagain spirit, when I received the Lord and I was born again, my spirit was shed or flooded with the love of God, which were demonstrated by his sacrifice on the cross. That love now begins to express itself through me through different ways. Through faithfulness, I was faithful now. I was a faithful person. I was this. I was that. I was the other. Meek humbleness. All of these are manifestations of the love of God in me. Well, in the same way, hate being the root of Satan, hate manifests itself in different ways. And that's what I want to deal with today. Let's find out what the fruit of hate or dumb manifestations of hate are because this is the things we need to deal with. And the scripture I want you to see is Proverbs 26 verses 24, 25, and 26. And if you can look it up is critical that we read this. Proverbs chapter 26. This is a revelation. And what I'm teaching here tonight is a revelation that the Lord's given me this week. I never taught this before. Proverbs is after the book of Psalms. Psalms is in the middle of your Bible. Proverbs 26 24 25 and 26. Look what it says. He who hates disguises it with his lips and lays up deceit within himself. When he speaks kindly, do not believe him. For there are seven abominations in his heart. Though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the assembly. Now notice what the scripture says. This is a revelation. That scripture says that a person who has hate instead of love. Remember love is if if is the fruit of of of the spirit of God. You cannot be saved unless you're baptized into the spirit. Paul says that by faith we're baptized into one body. That's the body of Jesus Christ. And it's the Holy Spirit that does that. So once love comes in, there are now eight manifestations of the love of God, which is joy and peace and and and and u uh uh longsuffering and goodness and gentleness and meekness and self-control and and faithfulness. All of those are manifestation of love. Now it says there a person who hate. A person who has hate rested within him has seven abominations within him or within her. And these things will be manifested as wickedness. And I show you the wickedness is having to do with idolatry and iniquity which is uh uh inherit sin. So hate then and this is the revelation. Hate is the key spirit. Hate is the spirit that is resident in all of us. Because you see before we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, we had no capacity to love. The love in the sense that the Bible speaks of love. Now fileo love which is brotherly love or it's talking about the love of God. The unconditional love of God. Agapeo agape love. Agapeo love is the unconditional love of God. The Bible says I love Jesus because he first loved me without the love of Jesus first in us. We have no capacity to love agape. Agape love without the spirit of God. So if we did not have the capacity to agape or agape that love then what did we have selfishness which at the center of it is you will see is hate. Why? Because the last fruit of the spirit is self-control in in in the works of the flesh. Selfishness is the center of them. So but how does this spirit notice that it says that it hides? This is why we haven't found it all this time. He says the person who has hate hides it. Disguise it. This is why Fred in the ministry so many time that we minister to people, we were missing the key. And I believe we're missing the key because the strong man in the person was hate. Selfhate is one of the biggest problems when you're dealing with people because Satan has has has put them down and has made him to experience hate for so long that it is in there. But look how we cover it up. He says there, "He who hates this guy says it with his lips and lays up deceit with himself." Meaning it's like putting a band-aid. You have this problem. You have this hurt. You have this selfhate. So you try to cover it up and then you try to speak kindly. He said, "Don't believe him. When somebody putting all these moves on you and all these nice, they're disguising." Hey, why? Because hate will betray you. Hate will be see true love, unconditional love will always be there for you. You know, you can tell all of those people that uh that used to follow Britney's peers, she did something and bummed out real bad. Now everybody hates her. Two years ago, everybody loves her. Now everybody hates her. But you see, that's because this is the type of world that we're living in. True love will stick with a person when you're doing good or when you're doing bad. But it says here that they disguise it. If I would had this revelation when we're doing those uh uh ministry, this would be tremendous because the root is hate. He says there so clearly hates his guys. And then he says don't believe him. Why why don't you believe a person that that that hates and that is his because there are seven abominations in his or her heart. And it says, "Though that hatred is covered by deceit, the wickedness will be revealed before the assembly." That's when you're ministering. You know, a lot of times, uh, I remember ministering to this guy. We're ministering to him. Very strong Aztec spirit that we were dealing with. Remember upstairs over there. And man, we're fighting and fighting and fighting until he got set free. And we kept pushing every button, everything we could to get this guy set free. When he's set free, we asked him said, What was the trouble? What's the problem? He says the only thing that that thing responded to was love. You remember, I can't remember his name, but he says every time you guys spoke about love, that thing hated it. He told us the strong man, this it was a a Leviathan type of kind of snake spirit that this guy was was really wrestling with and and he wanted to be a friend. He couldn't. And we battle and we cast that thing and we did everything we could. And by the time we finally got to him, we asked him, we were there what, four or five hours with him. And that was the second time, I think. Huh? Yeah. He had the Mexican flag in his pocket. Remember, he's half Mexican, half black. Had tremendous hatred towards black people. Remember, because his father was black and had a something like that. But anyway, this and and that's true. Hate was a root cause in there. But when Huh? Yeah. Yeah. It was a root cause. And when we finally spoke to him, he he said, "Every time you guys spoke about love, I think hated it. How God loved me, how Jesus had died for my sin, how you were how I was important to God, how God had a purpose in my all of the things that the the spirit couldn't take it." And now it makes sense. Why? Because hate is at the root of the thing. Hate is at the root of the thing. And so when you show love, that spirit couldn't handle it. Now, what I want to do tonight is deal with what are these seven abominations. And these seven abominations, uh, I'm just going to barely touch on them because I can I got three pages of them. So, this is for Fred, by the way. Fred is the one that asked for this. So, uh, we'll have to he'll have to work out the things in there. But I want to show you how hate has different spirit. And by the way, Fred is already the Lord had given a revelation on this. He was showing me some of the work that he's doing and how it connects uh with it over here. Okay. What are these seven abominations and and how do they manifest? Look at Proverbs chapter 16 verse 5. And we're going to be in the book of Proverbs. So just stay there. All of these abominations are in the book of Proverbs. Abomination number one. Now remember, hatred is a strong man. Hatred is is a spirit because hatred is the absence of love. Before we were born again, before we experience the love of God, the spirit of hate is in there. Hatred is a strong man. And out of him, seven abominations come. That's what we just read in in in Proverbs. Now look at the first one. Proverbs 16:5. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Now remember, he who hates disguises it with his lips uh and lays up deceit within himself. When he speaks, do not believe him. For there are seven abominations in his heart. So the first abomination is revealed to us in Proverbs 16:5. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. I want you to see that key there. Join forces. That's the key because it requires the inbred natural hate that is on every one of us. You know, God has put in in in in all of us a measure of faith. In the same way when we to Adam Adam and Eve took part of of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil I believe that there was a measure of faith I mean a measure of hate that it was important to every soul. So we all have this inherited ability to hate others to hate ourselves. Okay. A a lot of sane rational people that have been in situations where life dependency says you don't know what humans are capable of doing under certain circumstances. You find this in wars. Normal person that would never do anything all of a sudden will do horrible horrendous things. You know it happened in Vietnam. It happens in Iraq. this ability. Well, that's that resident hate that is in all of us. And it says that he joins forces with who? With pride. He says the the the pride the the the person who has pride in his heart is an abomination to God and he joins forces. So that if hate is the root, pride is definitely the tree. They go together like a hand and glove. Pride and hate cannot be separated. Why? Because pride is what we use to mask the hate. Remember how it says that he who has hate covers it up. You see, that's what pride does. You see, if you have a low self-esteem, you either wind up in the gutter or you either wind up very successful. Why? Because that you cannot accept that condition. And so this parish, you will see they are all moved to cover up for that lack there. And it begins with pride. You will find pride in people who are on the street, homeless people. When when Fred and I were dealing with some of that, some of the most proud people are people that have nothing. They have pride. They say, "I have my pride. I'm not going to do this or I'm not going to do that." So these spirits go very, very close together. Pride and hate. and they're the ones that open the door for the rest of the guys to come in. Now, we'll need to and I'm I'm I'm hoping to write I'm going to write uh quite a bit on this. I'm going to do research on each one of these spirits category. I'm going to put it on on the web page how be because pride has more than one manifestation just like love has more than one manifestation. Joy has more than one manifestation just like the fruit of the spirit have many ways of manifesting themsel but these are the root spirits and that's what I want you to see. These are the root spirits and then there's different variations of it and that's what we need to work on so that when we minister to people we're able to identify them quickly and deal with them according to the scriptures that God has given us on how to handle them. But the prouding heart is an abomination to the Lord. Pride comes into the heart, joins with the self-hatred, low self-esteem, and now they join forces to allow these other abominations to come in. Number two, Proverbs 15:8. And this one might surprise you a little bit. Maybe religious spirits will fall under this category. He says, "The sacrifice," is Proverbs 15:8, "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight." Now, notice that it's called the sacrifice, the sacrifice of the wicked. Now, what is wicked? We just told you wicked has to do with idolatry. wickedness which those wickedness is is is a byproduct of idolatry which is hatred towards God. That means that a person who has not resolved the hate issue deep within us. Cover it up with pride. The pride of life which is what both of these spirits fall under. By the way, there are each uh there are two two of each spirits fall in the category pride of life, loss of the flesh and loss of the eye. The first one, the one with pride has to do obviously with the pride of life. And this one, the sacrifice of the wicked also have to do with the pride of life. I believe that you will find ministers, people who minister and people who serve who have never resolved the problem with hate, okay, are serving God for selfish motives and and it is an abomination to the Lord. You are in the ministry. You're doing work, but the real reason why you're doing it is because you have other motives. Notice that it says there the prayer of the righteous. So it compares prayer and sacrifice meaning that their service. Did you know that there are people and believe me I had contact with many people through the years and people would come in and tell me what they're praying for and sometimes they ask you to join with them. There's actually people that pray for other people to die. There's people that actually praying for other people to lose their job. There are people that are actually praying. We just went and prayed for for a girl tonight that is struggling with with cancer. Uh uh next door the husband came in and told her that that his wife was praying for her to die. This is real. Why would somebody want and pray actually believing that God will answer their their their prayer bad for somebody else? Hate. Hate is the only reason. Why would else would you do it? hate or pride because you're, oh well, they don't deserve this. I don't get it. I pray for my mom. She never recover. She died of cancer. So, why are you any better than my mom? You should die just like my mom died. See, this is one of the manifestations of the spirit. It's called the pride of life. And it says that that is an abomination to the Lord. But yet, the root cause of it is, hey, that mask itself and pride. Oh, I'm so religious. I pray. As a matter of fact, I think I got a scripture here. Don't don't miss your your place here in Proverbs. We're coming back. But in Luke 18 verse 11, 12, and 13, Jesus gives us a a a description of a person who is praying or sacrificing to God in this spirit. Luke 18 112 and 13 says, "The Pharisee stood and he prayed thus with himself." He stood up and he began to pray to himself. He's not saying it out loud. He's hiding it, but he said, "God, I thank you that I'm not like all of these other guys here. I'm not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even that tax collector over there in the back. Oh man, he's really bad. These guys are bad, but he's three times more bad than that. I thank you, Lord. I fast twice a week and I give tithe of everything that I possess. Sound like a pretty faithful guy. He'll be work welcome in every church today, man. He fast and he ties. Everybody wants people like that in their church, right? But guess what? They're praying. My pastor is a crook. That's what they're praying. and this is an extortion and that other guy is on an adulterer and this guy is a tax collector. That's the prayer that they're off Home Watch the Video Teaching

- A CHRISTIANS TRANSFORMATION | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
A CHRISTIANS TRANSFORMATION Written Teaching Minister Lisa Kane February 4, 2023 Objective The objective of this teaching is to reveal the biblical process of a Christian’s transformation—from redemption through Christ, to renewal in the Spirit, to active participation in God’s harvest. By examining Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment in the New Testament, believers are encouraged to dwell in the secret place of God, be filled with the bread of life, oil of the Spirit, and new wine of renewal, so they may live transformed lives and bear fruit as the bride of Christ. Synopsis This message explores the journey of a Christian’s transformation as foretold by the prophets Jeremiah, Hosea, and Isaiah, and confirmed in the New Testament writings. It begins with the ransom Christ paid for His bride and the promised joy, abundance, and satisfaction for God’s people. Using the imagery of grain (the bread of life), oil (the Spirit’s anointing), and new wine (renewal and revival), the teaching outlines the essential steps of growth in Christ: feeding on God’s Word, dwelling in His presence, and embracing newness of life. Believers are reminded of the necessity of the secret place with God (Psalm 91), where oil and strength are replenished, questions are answered, and intimacy with the Lord is deepened. The parable of the virgins highlights the importance of keeping spiritual oil filled, while Isaiah and Hosea reveal both the blessings of obedience and the consequences of rejecting God’s call. The transformation continues as Christians become ambassadors of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5), laborers in the harvest (John 4), and part of the Spirit-filled cluster of fruit (Isaiah 65). Practical application is emphasized—spending time in prayer, Scripture, and personal communion with God in order to live righteously, evangelize effectively, and be ready for Christ’s return. The message concludes by affirming that transformation is not just for eternity but begins now: “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Living in the secret place empowers believers to walk in liberty, reflect God’s glory, and participate in the great harvest as God pours out His Spirit in these last days (Joel 2). Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, February 4th, 2023. And this message is called a Christian's transformation. Oh, let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word. We thank you for your blessing and your anointing on it. We thank you for opening our ears to hear, our eyes to see, our hearts to receive, and that we can live and walk under wisdom, knowledge, and understanding through the Holy Spirit. so that we can apply your living word to our lives daily in every moment of every day and be ready for the harvest that is already here so that we can evangelize and reap and sew your fruit. Father God, in the name of Jesus we pray. Thank you, Lord. Amen. Oh, you're going to love this message. This message is going to take some old prophecies and it's going to show you the result of what a Christian will be. Now, we have to take measures to get to be that Christian. And you're going to see that walk in here. You're going to see the transformation take place. So, we're going to start with Old Testament pro prophecy and then we're going to move into the New Testament. But this is so powerful. It's going to change you if you choose to take these steps. So, let's go to our opening scripture here in Jeremiah. We're in Jeremiah 31 11-14. For the Lord has redeemed Jacob and ransomed him from the hand of one stronger than he. I'm going pause here for a moment. I want you to see ransom. Jesus paid the ransom for you and I. Amen. So, this is talking about the bride of Christ. This is talking about Christianity. Now, the nation of Israel will have that opportunity and we're all going to be living together in that wonderful peace and eternity that we're going to have. uh there's that seven-year tribulation period, then you have the thousand-y year reign, and then you have the new Jerusalem. And we're going to be living in that new Jerusalem. So, here you've you've got Jeremiah, and we're going to read Hosea here in a moment. And they're talking about a celebration, a joy. What does that sound like? Our feast or a wedding uh reception that we're going to have when we come into the presence of the Lord during this time. So this is talking about the bride of Christ and those that put Jesus as the son of God. So you're going to see what this is applying to. Nation of Israel missed when they crucified Jesus, which they needed to. The Lord handled all that. He took care of it. But they're going to catch it here in the end at the midway of the seven-year tribulation. They will catch it, and they're going to be right there with us. So let's take a look. Let's continue to read on here. Verse 12. Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, streaming to the goodness of the Lord for wheat and new wine and oil for the young of the flock and the herd. Their souls shall be like a well-watered garden, and they shall sorrow no more at all. They then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old together. Notice the key word then. For I will turn their mourning to joy, will comfort them and make them rejoice rather than sorrow. I will satiate the soul of the priests with abundance, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the Lord. Saturate the soul of the priests. Remember, we're are priests. I've been teaching on that. So, our souls are going to be saturated here. We're going to be and and I don't know if you've ever seen a beautiful garden that is well watered but I am telling you right now when you look at one of those it is incredible to see the effort that they put in here but it's so peaceful when you look at it and look at it says their souls shall be like a well-watered garden. So this is talking about the end result of being a Christian whether you're in the human form still alive on this planet or you're in the presence of the Lord but we're well satisfied. Now I take it as here and now because he says uh let's go back to that scripture. He says then look at this then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance and the young men and the old together for I will turn their mourning to joy. There is no mourning in heaven. So this is talking about our earthly presence here and he's talking about the bride of Christ. Now there is something key here I want you to see because this is very very very important. You know, I could teach for months on just these scriptures alone in Hosea. We'll get to that in a moment. But look, it says for wheat and new wine and oil. Okay. So, let's look at this for a minute because there are three ingredients here that goes with the Christian's walk. Okay? And yes, I'm taking it from the Old Testament. We'll see it in the New Testament. So, you got the wheat or the grain, and that is the bread of life. Jesus is the bread of life. So we grab onto him and we fill up on the bread of life. Now you are also going to have the new wine and the oil. Now let's talk about the oil for a moment. I'll get to the new wine because that's what I want to focus on with this. The oil is when you spend time in the presence of the Lord. If you take a look at Solomon's temple or you look at when Moses spent time with God on the mountain, Moses shined. He he had such a shine they had to put a veil over his face. The temple nobody could enter it. They would die because of the shikina glory that emanated from it. So when you enter the presence of the Lord now in your flesh because remember the temple uh the the veil was torn in two at the temple. We get to go to Jesus directly which means we feed off of his living word which is the bread of life. And then that's the Christian. And then you have the oil. You fill up on the oil when you're in his presence. Well, how do you get that oil when you're in his presence? And remember, the oil is the numa, the power, the spirit that moves forward for us. You see, when you dwell in the secret place, I'm going to remind you of that scripture here in just a moment. You are filling up with the oil. Remember the the parable of the 10 virgins. They 50% had enough oil, 50% didn't have enough oil, but they were all Christians. So, how do you get enough oil so that you're on the right side? You spend time in the presence of the Lord. Let's go and look at that. Let's look. Psalm 91 says, "He who dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty." This is where you get your oil. This is also where you're going to get your grain because it's a two-way conversation. You're reading the Bible and you're praying. And let me add a little step here. Write down your questions in a journal. Date it and just wait on the Lord. And I promise you, you'll have your answers within a few days and answers to tough questions. This is how I can come into the presence of the Lord because he's answered. He has satisfied my soul with those questions that how many people call Christians hypocrites because they have questions that we cannot answer because we are not being we're not apologetic to the word of God. We're not standing up and representing the word of God because we don't know. But when you spend time, you know. And then did you see that? He says, "And then new wine for wheat and new wine and oil." Now there's something else. We have seen the grain because those of us that are dwelling in the secret place, we're reading our word and we're being sustained by the bread of life. And those of us that are spending get the oil, too. Because now we're seeing how that numa moves that in fact when you spend time in the word of God, you have you're preparing to go to battle. When you go to church or you go to the grocery market, wherever you're going in your daily routine, you have the power of the Holy Spirit moving ahead of you. And it shows and represents that because you're when you're filling up your cup with oil, it bubble bubbles out. It boils out and it falls on people around them and they know it. They sense it. But then there's the new wine. First of all, new wine is not fermented. Hasn't fermented yet because you got to put the wine in a new wine skin so it can ferment. That means you got to take off the old and put on something new. So, we need to be doing that. And I tell you, if we were doing that, we'd already be in our revival, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We're going to be talking about that because that is the end result of all of this. Let's go to Hosea now. Let's continue and look at it from Hosea's perspective. Same type of prophecy here. This is Hosea chapter 2. We're looking at verses 2 uh 20- 23. I will betro you to me in faithfulness, and you shall know the Lord. What? When Romans 10:9 says that if you confess Jesus Lord, you confess him with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead because you're talking to you the spirit. You cannot see it. That's an act of faith. So that moment that you speak that word, look at that. You become betrothed to God and it's through faithfulness. You have to be in faith to do it because you cannot see God when you're talking to him. So you see this is about the Christian. This is the bride of Christ. Look at how Hosea is bringing this out. God is very he's clear in identifying who this belongs to. Verse 21. It shall come to pass in that day that I will answer, says the Lord, and I will answer the heavens and they shall answer the earth. The earth shall answer with grain, with new wine, and with oil. shall answer Jezrael. Then I will sow her for myself in the earth, and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy. Then I will say to those who were not my people, you are my people, and they shall say, "You are my God." I'm going to tell you right now, let me in the past few years, my prayer has changed. And I say this multiple times throughout the day. I always say, "Lord, you are my God, my King, my Lord, and my Savior. I belong to you and you belong to me." Did you know I was saying that before I even knew this scripture existed? That is how the Holy Spirit works. So, I'm a walking testimony to the fulfillment of that prophecy here. Please understand that you can be doing that and you should be doing that because as you spend more time with the Lord, you're saying you are my God because look at you are taking care of me. I mean, you see him move. You see the spirit move around you. Things that shouldn't have happened happen that were good that blessed you. And you're just sitting there going, "Wow, Lord, how'd you do that?" Isn't that just absolutely incredible? This is how the Lord works. Now, look at this. I want you to see this. I will enter the heavens and they shall answer earth. Now, look at here. How our earth answering in the earth. We're going to have new grain. So, not only are we going to have the bread of life and flour and wheat and all that that we need, which we do, even in these times where our economy is just out the window right now. You see, God still provides. He has blessed our household amazingly simply because I'm spending time in the secret place with the Lord, which you saw is Psalm 91:1. You choose. That's your action. You choose to do that. See, it's secret. When you go to church, that's not secret. Everybody can see you there. You see the difference? You got to spend time with God in the secret place. One, you get your oil. And two, he knows your name. You know his name. Now look at this. So now he's again talking about the grain, the new wine, and the oil. So now you can see how this Old Testament is telling you what you and I today are going to be like. You got to realize the word of God, you know, the whole action of the word of God that took place in history because this is true history. It happened to be written for you and I today. Paul didn't have the New Testament. He wrote it. Abraham didn't have a church to go to. He had to build it. Moses didn't have the five books of the Bible. He had to write them. Do you see now what when you say, "Okay, well, Jesus is the son of God and I acknowledge him because I hear it in the word of God, but I believe in faith." Now, you have the word of God because it happened in the past and you get to live it today. They lived for you and I today to have that word and it is being fulfilled. This is very, very powerful. Now, I'm going to show you Isaiah 65 because we're still in the Old Testament. Now, Isaiah is clearly telling you, you got a choice. And this is, remember, uh, when you're evangelizing and you're going to reap and sew, we're going to get into this here in just a bit. People have a choice. You choose God or you choose not God. So, and and they don't understand that, you know, they'll say something like, "Jesus is cool. He's a prophet. He's a great guy." That's not acknowledging he's the son of God. You know, even Israelites will say he he was a good pro prophet. He he you know, he did okay. But they'll tell you straight up, we're not looking for the son of God. We're looking for a man to be our Messiah. And they tell you that. So you can see how their vision, they have a veil over their eyes. You're going to see scripture related to that. But you can see now they there's a choice. Isaiah 65 tells you the consequences to the choice. Now remember, I am showing you what it's going to be like to be that Christian. We're the transformation that we're going to go through that we're going to be walking in this new wine. Watch this. So Isaiah is giving us two choices. So we're I'm going to take snippets from Isaiah 65:8. Thus says the Lord, as the new wine is found in the cluster and one says, do not destroy for a blessing is in it, so will I do for my servants sake that I may not destroy them all. Now I want you to see that. See the new wine? Now he's defining the new wine because how do you take off the old wine skin and put on a new wine skin? Did you notice that? Look at he says is found in the cluster. Oh, get this. Get this. I need you to get this. When you reap, not just sew, you're going to be sewing, too. But when someone becomes a believer under you, they're with you. They confess Jesus as the son of God and become a believer under your tutelage. Your branch just produced a grape of fruit on it. So you're that branch and now you've got fruit and is your responsibility to take that person in. Oh, I want you to see this church. See this Christian who's been a Christian for 50 years. Listen, when you bring that person into the church, you get them to start reading the Gospel of John. You get them to start writing down their uh their questions for God in a journal in their own quiet time because you're starting to teach him how to be in the secret place with the Lord. You get them to start talking with God on a daily basis because that's your responsibility. When people don't take up that responsibility, you can see it today. The evidence is there. What's the main person or personal type of person that comes after the church? It's people who got saved. They confess Jesus is Lord. But what happened? They got in the church and they put Christianity on such a high pedestal that we cannot meet their standard because they think now the whole church has to be godlike standard, but we're still human beings. But there's nobody there to tell them, "No, we're still working on it." There's nobody there to tell them, "Get into the word." And look at how people need to keep repenting. These people didn't do that. Wait, get in the word and start praying for them because they need your prayer. But no, instead they walk away from the church. They criticize the church. They call the church hypocrites. Those are your biggest voices are those people. And those are the people that somebody didn't take in. They probably became a Christian at a concert or something, but nobody stepped in to pull them in. Now, the Holy Spirit will work only as much as we're willing to give. So, you can see they already had a standard set uh an expectation and that expectation failed and they blamed it on the church, on God, and like God's not working on anybody. But I promise you, it takes us a step into the presence of the Lord. Now, of course, if you're going to teach somebody how to do that, don't you think you ought to be doing it? So, for you Christian who's been a Christian for 50 years, but you're not doing that. You're only going to church. Well, that's great for sustainment, but you have to understand when you go to church, you are going to church to do battle. you're not going to church to receive at that time. A lot of people think they go to church to receive and they're acting like that and they're taking it for receiving. In fact, what they do is they walk up to the door, they take off their cloak of distress. They take off whatever pain and suffering they have and they leave it at the door. They come in, they receive because see, they in their mind they're coming into the presence of the Lord. Fine. This is good stuff. But you never dealt with the cloak. And what happens? you leave, you pick it back up and you put it on and you wear it for the whole week. But when you enter into the presence of the Lord, Psalm 91:1, in the secret place in your home, you take it off and before you know it, you leave it off. Why? Because God already dealt with it. He dealt with you in that secret place and he built you up and now you get to represent him. So now he brings you into you because you spent time in that secret place. You built up your oil. Now when you come into church, you get to do battle. And the first thing you do is you pray for your church services coming up. Lord, I bless it. You see, now you speak the spoken word of God. I just taught on this a couple of messages about speaking your blessings or speaking your curses. You have a choice and you can see what that consequence is. But now I want you to see this new wine in this vine cluster. Look at what he says here. He says is found in the cluster. Now watch this. I'm going to get more into the scripture, but watch how this works. Imagine your branch has a cluster of fruit on it. Now all of that fruit is coming from the same branch. Jesus is our branch. Now what happens is as that Christian because we're spending time in that secret place we're producing the fruit we're a piece of fruit as well we hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and now the church this cluster operates under one the Holy Spirit no man no man there's a story oh I think it's in um Ukraine or some place out there they had um they had stopped Christianity so much so that you know they got rid of scriptures and what have you that even when they pass papers of where they were going to meet uh they caught on to that the guards did they got arrested beaten up what have you well people just started showing up there was no written paper they just started showing up and guess what other people showed up because the cluster together heard the Holy Spirit tell them where to go Now imagine when you're reaping and sewing, you are talking, you are evangelizing to people in the church or out on the streets, in the grocery store, wherever you may be. Sometimes you're sewing seeds. It could be just a simple smile, but because you're spending time in that secret place, you are now operating. So all those people that you sew a seed on, others have seown a seed on them as well. And what happens is these people are looking at you like, "How did you know? How did you know what to say?" Especially when the Holy Spirit tells you, "Your grandmother's been praying for you. Why haven't you uh repented? What's going on? Can I help you?" Boy, you you can imagine the wakeup call this person has like, "How did you know? You don't know me. You don't know my grandmother." And that's exactly what you say. That's what you do. That's that's how the Holy Spirit works in this cluster. So now you're starting to see where the church where the Christian's transformation goes to. Do you see how neat that is? Oh my goodness. So and one says, "Do not destroy it for a blessing is in it." I'm going to tell you right now, when you have somebody who's bitter in the church or angry at the church or angry at a person in the church or doesn't like that worship song or whatever, they ruin it because they're not spending time in the secret place of the Lord and giving that to the Lord, saying, "I don't like that, Lord. Either help change me or change them." They haven't done that when that is their responsibility. And instead, they prevent the cluster from working. Isn't that amazing how that can happen in the church? Now, we're still in Isaiah 65. Now, let's look at the consequences when you don't choose to be that Christian in the secret place. So, he's telling you straight up, therefore, I will number you for the sword and you shall all bow down to the slaughter. You see, death comes quicker for you. This is powerful. This is so you know there are benefits to getting in the presence of the Lord. Not just the fact that oh well he's amazing. It was great to be in his presence and that he let me be alive today in and of itself. But the fact is you get to live longer because you have the blessing of life on you. But when you don't do it, you have the bless the cursing of death on you. Now look, let's continue. Because when I called you did not answer. The secret place is where he's going to call you. This is the place that you need to be spending time with him so he can prepare you to take you out into ministry wherever it may be. It may not even be in the church. It could be in the street corner or it can be in the jail cells. Wherever you will be called, he will call you but you did not answer. You're a believer but you didn't answer. Could have been this way for 50 years. But I'm telling you right now, there's going to be this cluster coming in. You're going to have to shuck your oldness, your old ways. Put on the new wine skin and get ready. Prep yourself now in the secret place of the Lord because he called you. You are called. And when I spoke, you did not hear but did evil before my eyes and chose that in which I do not delight. You know, speaking of a this is the type of person you're going to be dealing a lot with here in these end times. So, I have a little testimony here. Here I was at the grocery store waiting for the cashier ringing up all my groceries. The person bag the gal bagging my groceries is talking to the cashier and is mad at the church. She and she named the church and I knew the church and she's mad because she's um homosexual and the church kicked her out and they wouldn't even let her wait for a drive or a ride to come pick her up. They made her walk and it was on a mountain and she had to walk down the hill and she was mad and she just whatever. And then out of the blue, she looks at me and, you know, basically asking me what it is, you know, that's going on. And D and I don't know her. She don't know me. But see, she senses the spirit. And the one thing I said to her was very simple. I said, "How can you expect God to bless you when he told you homosexuality is a sin?" She responded, "Well, she says, "I know. But you know what? She gave me a hug, thanked me, and she continued on her way. She didn't change. You see, that's what people want today. Whether you're a sinner or a Christian who's got one foot in the church and one foot in the world, you want both. You want evil, you want, well, not evil, you want sin because it's feels good for a season. You want your sin and you want to live uh and have God's blessings on you. You can't have both. You have to choose and Isaiah clearly tells you. Now look at what it continues to tell you though when you choose him. So you have for uh verse 17. For behold I create new heavens and a new earth and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. Remember we are also talking about what's coming up after the the millennial. You're going to have a Jerusalem, a new Jerusalem. We're going to be shucking off of the old wine skin, putting on the new one, and we're going to be part of the new heavens and the new earth. So, he's telling you straight up where this is going. Now, look at this. And he's prophesying in verse 24 and 25. And it shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer. Here's the most amazing part talking about us here and now. Let's say you're not feeling very well. something you just know you're down or whatever, whatever's going on. Before you even prayed and asked God cuz you've been dwelling in the sequence, he already knew and he sent you your healing. You already have it. In fact, it goes away. You get up, you decide to nope, I'm not going to be it. That's it. I'm moving on because I don't have time for that one. Or you know what? I'm not going to get sick because I know that I was already healed. I say it already healed. So now once you know that, that it goes right out the window. He answered you even before you needed to. Which that is prophetic anyways because Jesus took the healing. The beating his back was torn to pieces. He took the stripes for us. By his stripes, we were healed. By his stripes, we are healed. So, it's amazing to see how he already did all that. You're in a financial situation. He knows. So, before you even ask, he answered and already provided. It's on its way. Now imagine being part of that cluster where you're moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Put a check here. You do this. You do that because the Holy Spirit told you. You're doing what you need to do. This is how this is going to be working. And while they're still speaking, I will hear. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together. The lion shall eat straw like the ox. And thus shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, says the Lord. The lion and the lamb living together. We're going to see that. But the me best part is to see that it is now. You see, our heavenly eternity already began here and now in our flesh. You I I get to say, I'm already saved and I've already started my eternity because I've already died to this world. Because I enter into the secret place with the Lord. And when I spend my time there, I get to sin runs. It leaves. I don't have to have sin on me. I'm considered righteous. Oh, you got to grasp this. Got to grasp this. Let's look at um 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. And now all things are of God who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. Pause here. Remember what I was talking about? If you if if a Christian becomes a Christian or believer under your moment, you shared the word of God with that person and they accepted Jesus Christ into their heart. You are given the responsibility of reconciliation. How do you reconcile? You bring them into the secret place with the Lord because you want him and God to bond. Do you see that? And he's telling us that's our responsibility. I want you to see that. Says uh given us the ministry of reconciliation. That is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Hallelujah. And now then, we are ambassadors for Christ as though God were pleading through us. You know, when you're in the secret place, he is getting you prepped and ready. He is preparing you. He's giving you scripture that you're it's going to click with you and you're going to have it in your mind and you're going to be able to share it with somebody and you're going to be reconciling them to the Lord. And that see you have become that new creation. Oh, so awesome. Look at this. For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him. So when you are spending time getting the oil, getting the grain, getting prepped, getting rid of the old wine skin, putting on the new wine skin, getting ready to operate in that cluster. You are now righteous in the presence of God. Now you're ready to evangelize. You're ready to go forward. Look at this in John. What What do you have to do when you evangelize? John 4:35-38. Do you not say there are still four months and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields for they are already white for harvest. And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruit for eternal life. That both he who sws and he who reaps may rejoice together. For in this the saying is true, one sws and another reaps. I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored. Others have labored and you have entered into their labors. Again, these people are going to be amazed because you're going to say things others have already told them and they're going to wonder how did you know? And they're going to realize that God is real and they're going to repent hopefully in that moment. But you also got to bring them in to the reconciliation into that ministry so that they get close to God so they don't become that person who hates the church and calls the church hypocritical. You are ministering to different types of people. Realize this. Go read the parable of the sewer. When God is sewing seed, there's some that land on hard soil. Ha. Have you ever tried to germinate a seed and grow seed from scratch? Some are very temperamental and you may not even be able to grow any seed of that kind. Just you can't. It's your your where you live. It's the weather. You just can't. But someone else can. in another area. And that's exactly how it is. Now, remember, I've been talking about that this is your responsibility. Let's go back to the life of a plant for a moment. When a plant is sitting in a pot in your house, does it get watered by itself? No. You have to go pick it up and go water it. Meaning, you have to go get the water, the grain from the living word of God, the bread of life, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and then the oil. And now the new wine. You're going to be taking the action of removing your old wine skin and getting ready for the new wine skin and what God has set for you. And this is preparing you to evangelize, preparing you to do battle because you will be dealing with spiritual matter. I mean, take a look at the room you're in. You can't see it, but there are angels and demons standing around you. So, how do you get the victory? You have to be in the secret place with the Lord first. And you pray over your service. You bless the service because that means when the devil or the demon and the angel are fighting, the angel has a victory over that service and people come in and they feel a difference and it's like, "Wow, this is neat. Wow, I got I got blessed. I'm going back." You see, that is how you get prepped for warfare. You go into it and that is how you have the victory. And it's because you are transforming as that Christian because why your seed is growing. You know what God you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart. It was a seed that was planted in you. Remember Adam comes from the dust of the earth. So you got a seed and then you got baptized. And when you got baptized that put you in a ministry. Remember when Jesus was baptized he went and dealt with the devil first. So imagine a new believer, a new Christian, that first love. Remember your first love. You get baptized. you're ready to go into ministry. You and in fact a new Christian is a sink or swim moment here in that beginning. Why? Because now they get a taste of the spirit world and they they start to see and understand and they should have questions. They should be coming to you and asking you questions. You should be answering them with the Holy Spirit. And if you can't, you work with him and said, "Let's go find that answer together." Amen. Amen. That is that first love. So when you who's been a Christian for 50 years now get into that secret place, you're going to remember your first love and you're going to be getting ready because you're now going to have that grain, the bread of life. You're going to be sustained by the living word of God and you're going to have the anointing of the oil which is going to splatter on people because it's going to be flowing over your cup. And now you're going to have the new wine where you're going to be operating because you're going to hear the spirit of the Lord, the Holy Spirit talk to you. Do you see that transformation a Christian takes in their life, in their walk? And it only happens for as much as you're wi Home Watch the Video Teaching

PRAYING THROUGH OBEDIENCE Written Teaching Minister Lisa Kane October 28, 2025 Objective The objective of this message is to teach believers how to deepen their prayer life through obedience to God’s commandment of love, forgiveness, and humility. By understanding prayer as an act of obedience, rooted in the Word of God, Christians are equipped to intercede effectively for themselves, others, and even nations—breaking curses, binding evil, and releasing blessings under the authority of Jesus Christ. Synopsis In this message, Minister Lisa Kane explores the powerful connection between obedience and prayer, beginning with Christ’s commandment in John 13:34 to love one another in a moral and social sense—our duty and obligation as followers of Christ. Prayer through obedience requires believers to forgive others (Matthew 6:14–15), releasing bitterness, hurt, and unforgiveness that often manifest as spiritual and physical bondage. Minister Lisa emphasizes the importance of entering the secret place with God, where transformation occurs. From this place, believers are set apart, their desires change, and they are empowered to pray with authority. Spiritual warfare, she explains, always begins with praise and worship, which ushers in God’s presence and aligns the heart with His will. The teaching highlights the authority given to believers (Psalm 149), showing how to bind kings, governments, and demonic influences through prayer, while also interceding for repentance and transformation rather than destruction. Using Scripture as a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), believers are instructed to pray strategically—beginning with forgiveness, casting out demonic influences, then replacing curses with biblical blessings and life-giving promises (Psalm 133:3; Psalm 5:12). The message provides a practical prayer model, applying these principles to personal struggles, families, governments, industries, and nations. Minister Lisa stresses the need for humility, self-control, and faithfulness when using the authority of Christ’s name. By praying in obedience, believers become effective spiritual warriors who can shift atmospheres, weaken the hold of evil, and prepare hearts for revival. Ultimately, “Praying Through Obedience” calls Christians to submit fully to God’s will, intercede in love, and walk in the authority and responsibility given by Jesus to bring transformation to individuals, communities, and the world. Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, October 28th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Praying Through Obedience. This is a good message. You're going to be blessed by this one. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for teaching us how to pray. We thank you for teaching us how to be obedient to our calling to love one another with obedience and moral sense. Thank you, Father God, for your living word of God. And let your scriptures implant in our minds and our hearts that we know them and that we can just share them at the moment that we need to under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Thank you, heavenly father. In the glorious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scriptures here where this is called praying through obedience. We're going to start here in John 13:34. A new commandment I give unto you that ye love. That word love there means in a social moral sense, duty, obligation. This is G35 Strong's Hebrew Greek dictionary. So, let's read that again. A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. All three loves in that scripture is the same love. So Jesus is saying, you know, you got to love me with a moral sense and an obligation duty. So before we dive into this beautiful message, this is an awesome message. I'm I'm going to teach you how to pray this, how to apply it to your life and all those around you, to America, to the world. Uh this is going to be amazing and I hope that you're blessed by it and truly truly blessed. But as you see, we're to love one another, which means we need to love our country. We need to love our governments. We need to love our neighbors, ourselves. But notice that word love. What is that word love? It is a moral sense. social moral sense. It is our duty, our obligation to do that. So, how do you love one another? Because this is where things get interesting now because you want to look at this and see, should I be praying for them? And that's the key right here because when you're praying for them in the spirit, things change. So this is where you're called to fulfill your commandment is here in the secret place praying. Boy, have I been talking about that secret place for a few years now. And I've been talking about this love now for the last few messages. So we're just now going to bring this to the act of obedience. And I'm going to show you who to pray for and what to pray. And I'm going to show you how to pray. So bear with me as we get to every scripture here. And it starts with the spirit of forgiveness. So, we're going to start here in Matthew 6:14 and 15. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. Before I dive into that scripture, this is not about your salvation. Anyone who calls upon the upon the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13, Joel 2:32, and I believe it's Acts 2:21. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. This is different. Look at what this says. It says, "For if you forgive." You see, when you call upon the Lord, you're saved. Now, he's saying, "I want you to forgive." Look at this. What's the word forgive? You need to put away, send forth people, men, women, children, whatever. That trespass. Look at this. It's a sides slip, an offense, an unintentional error and or a willful sin. So he's telling you put it away. You need to forgive and let it go. And he's saying if you do that, your father will also forgive you. If you don't do that, your father won't forgive you. What happens is let's say you're harboring sickness, cancer, disease, whatever. likely it is from holding on to unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, anger, hurt, suffering. Well, you need to let that go. To let that go, you've got to go to the root of why you have that and you're holding on to it. So, if you're upset with somebody, you've been holding on to it and you're like this, you're just really, really tight. What happens is your body never relaxes. Those cells never relax and they harden. They're so stressed. They're so tight. They never they don't hard or they don't soften. So they harden and when a hardened cell what it does it turns into cancer. It turns into some form of sickness or disease. So nine out of 10en times when you hear somebody who has uh was diagnosed with cancer, this prayer is going to help with that because it starts with the spirit of forgiveness. Why? Because the power and the authority you're about to find out in this message is so amazing that the Lord has to know that you are humble and you will be under humility as you pray this prayer because we got to realize what Moses did when he talked to the Lord about the nation of Israel like stop don't punish them hold on we got to have that heart for the beloved of the people that God loves just as much as he loves me he you know what I'm going to share bitter In reality, he loves Hitler just as much as he loves me. Got to get that concept in your mind. He loves the terrorists as much as he loves me. So, the act of forgiveness is that moment of humility that you have within you. And that's what the Lord is showing us with the concept of the scripture. Amen. John 3:34, for he whom God hath sent set apart, speaketh the words of God. For God giveth not the spare by measure unto him. Okay. So, we're going to be talking about being set apart for this. So, for the most part, anyone who's been following any of my teachings for several months now know that I've been talking about the secret place of the Lord. As you get into that secret place, your life transforms and it changes. Your prayer life changes. That's what's so amazing about this. That's what I love about this. God changes you. He transforms you. So he's going to take you now to that next level where he's going to teach you how to pray. Now what does he have to do first? He sets you apart because you purposed in your heart to put him first in your life. You said, "I'm going to go to the secret place and I'm going to give it to the Lord." Once you do that, guess what happens? He enters into your life. He changes you, but he sets you apart. It's like the desires of your heart changes. And let's say you're someone who used to like to watch horror films. Found out my sister-in-law like that up until this month. We're interceding and we're getting closer to the Lord. She's realizing I don't want to even do that. That's a testimony. Amen. So set apart. Look at and you're going to speak. So we have to know what words to speak. We have to know the word of God. This message is targeted to the people who spend time with the Lord in the secret place that is studying the word of God and getting to know the word of God. So this is going to be powerful going to teach you some good stuff and you're going to be blessed by this. I promise you that. So let's go to the authority we have. We're going to look at Psalm 149. Let's start with verse 1 through3. Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song and his praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. Let them praise his name in the dance. Let them sing praises unto him with the temporal and harp. Spiritual warfare always begins with praise and worship. And most of the time a lot of people tend to do praise and worship in the church or in the sanctuary. But YouTube has got a lot of praise and worship songs now. You can actually put it on in the background or even put it in on in your secret place while you're praising and praying to the Lord. You could be praising and worshiping him at the same time. Praise and worship is key. Find scriptures that praise the Lord. The mountains rejoice you Lord or or praise you, lift you up. There are many scriptures that praise the heavenly father. Praise him yourself. find something, you know. Um, wow, Lord, today's got a beautiful blue sky. Doesn't hear, but he you just say, "Man, Lord, you really know how to make the color blue. You know how to make the sky look great. You're praising him for what he accomplished in creation." This is key. You got to praise and you got to worship him. Worship is adoration, putting him first. When you go into the secret place and you open up the Bible and you say, "Okay, Lord, let's you and I talk." That's worship because you prioritized him and put him first. Now, I want you to see something here. He says, "Let Israel rejoice in him that made him. Let the children of Zion be joyful in their king. We're adopted into the nation of Israel. We are part of Jesus." When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, he is Jewish. So, you are actually now part of the nation of Israel. So understand that they've got to rejoice in their king. You're rejoicing in King Jesus. Jesus hasn't come back as king yet, but he will. So get ready. And that's something also to acknowledge that he's your king. This is and all you're what you're doing here is is obedient. Because when you do these things and you're being obedient to it, you're saying to the king, I'm going to do what you commanded me to, which is to love one another. And how do you love in that social moral sense? with your duty and obligation. Amen. All right. Now, verses four and five. For the Lord taketh pleasure in his people. He will beautify the meek with salvation. So, see, this is why we start with spirit of forgiveness. We've got to get humbled before the Lord because of the power and the authority that he's giving us can do some serious damage. And so, we have to have the self-control of the Holy Spirit with the with our tongue. We've got to be able to speak appropriately with the Holy Spirit covering and guiding us and telling us what to pray for. I'm gonna show you how all that works here in just a moment. When you do that, you are obeying him because there's going to be times you don't want to pay pray for a person. I didn't want to pray for a terrorist. And then I went ahead and I did it anyways because the Lord told me to love one another. That's his commandment. I got to obey the commandment. I'm like, "All right, Lord. I'm going to go ahead and pray for him. I'm going to tell you right up front, I don't want to do it, but I'm going to do it anyways because you asked me to. And then what happens is he just he transforms you. Now I want to pray for them because I don't want them to go to hell. I don't want anyone to go to hell, you know. And let that sit in your mind, in your heart. Everybody has a choice out here. Yes. But imagine if we're praying for them. We can save them. We can save them. Oh, you got to get this message. It's awesome. Verse five, let the saints be joyful in glory. Let them sing aloud upon their beds. And I I'm going to tell you how this that scripture means to me personally. Uh I remember years ago we I had a long drive to and from work and I would take my daughter to school. It was about a two-hour drive one way and I turned off music. She was sleeping anyways. and I would put on preachers and I would listen to the word of God. And I did this for like three years. It was a good amount of time that I did this. So I had no music in my my spirit, my soul during that entire time. Well, now you know, I listen to music. I I love putting my headphones on and relaxing to some good Christian music that touches me on the inside. So, what I do now is I'll play this music and I don't do it every day. It's probably once a week or something like that, but I I have, you know, 10, 12, sometime maybe about 20 songs. But I rotate them out with newer things and stuff like that. But I will wake up in the morning now and my spirit is singing that song as I wake up in the morning in my bed. And that is because as I'm waking up, I'm I'm my spirit is still praising the Lord because I'm walking in godliness and righteousness. And I hope this is a testimony to you that I hope it changes you because you can be transformed. And if God can change me, he can change you. I promise you this. And that's what the scripture is saying. So he's identifying this group of people to do this kind of prayer. And I already fit the category and I started doing this. So as he's teaching me, I want to teach you. And that's why I'm doing this message today for this verse six. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a twoedges sword. And that is the word of God according to Hebrews 4:12 in their hand. So when we start to pray, we want to pray with scripture. And you are going to realize how much authority you have when you start applying scripture to your prayers. And it changes everything. So he's saying right here, let the high praises be of God be in their mouth. And and notice he said the mouth. And remember what Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth, your mouth is your key power, total authority here. It's what you say. So all of us who are in this place where the Lord has transformed us, this is what he's saying. Let the high praises of God be in your mouth as you're praising him because you're putting him first. The in the it goes in front of the battle when um you go look at Jericho and the way that the army was set up. The praisers were in front. They're the ones that go out to do the front battle lines because they're praising God, giving him the glory. Because when you put first God in your life when seek first the kingdom of God and then all these things will be added unto you. Catch that. Catch that. So he says, "Let the high praises of God be in their mouth and a two-edged sword in their hand." And that see the the word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. So he's saying, "Put this word in your hand. You're going to be speaking it and you're going to be speaking it in authority." This is how this works because it works with the mouth. This is why we speak to the mouth. We have a cloud of witnesses around us. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. You've got the angels and the demons, and they're all listening to you. And you've got to determine what you're telling them. Because every time you go into prayer and you go in to do that battle, you start with your praise. But as you enter into the throne room, because you march in, you're marching in. You enter into the throne room. The first thing you're doing is you're addressing the heavenly God and Jesus, your savior. But there's a whole throne room there. And they're listening to your petition. And Jesus will go to God and interrogate him as to where's this going to go if we allow it to happen. You can get that from the last message or the one before it I taught. Either way, it's there. Okay, look at verse seven now here. Okay, you know what I really want to do? Hold on a moment. I want to go one more slide. I want to show you the authority you have. So, we're going to go to verse 9 first. To execute upon them the judgment, this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord. So, you end with praise. So, he's saying what you're about to read because I I put I went to verse nine. What you're about to read in verse seven and 8 is the authority that you have all all well let's read again have all his saints this honor have all saints honor there means magnificent this is incredible this is what we get to do we get to do this we have the power and the authority to do this let this sink into your mind here you know uh what's that Spider-Man with great power comes great responsibility Well, this is what you're seeing it in action here in the scripture with you and me. I don't have to be a superhero, but I got the words to say of God that will penetrate and will release people from demons and will set them free, heal them, and deliver them. We have this power and the authorities. So, let I'm jumping in. Let's get into it. Verse seven, to execute. That word execute there means to do, to make, or accomplish. Vengeance. Wait a minute. We get to execute vengeance. That word vengeance. Revenge. Wait, wait a minute. I get to accomplish revenge. Get this. I know. Revenge from the Lord. Watch. Must show you how this works because this is very powerful. Upon the heathen. And by the way, heathen here, it's translated as foreign nation, gentile, unbeliever. You can add that in. I I should have typed it in there. Unbeliever. Any heathen, somebody who is under the influence of evil, and by the way, could be a believer in Christ, too, that is under the influence of the devil. Keep that in mind because there are people who claim to be Christian and they're claiming it and they might have said it salvation and repented unto the Lord, but they're not living. You see, you have a choice to live for Christ or not to live for Christ. You see, anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. That doesn't mean that you live for Christ. It simply means you're saved. You're saved. You go to heaven. Hallelujah. That's better than hell. Okay? And I rather you get there even if you choose not to live for Christ. The problem is is when you do not live for Christ, you are vulnerable to the spiritual influences around the demonic activity and things that way. This is why people get um confused about all this. We got to be very very careful. Okay. So let's get back to this. So to execute vengeance upon the heathen or unbelievers and punishments upon the people or chastisements or corrections. So hold on a minute. We can execute, we can accomplish revenge on the unbelievers, the heathen, the Gentiles, and that's a key word there and the chastisements correction upon the people. I I love watching Jonathan Khan teach. Rabbi Jonathan Khan, if you haven't um met his ministry or got aware of his ministry, he's very powerful teacher. He has gone boldly to send messages to Biden and to the government to let him know what you're doing and and what you need to stop doing. It's time to repent. So, he's he's been sending out the chastisement. Okay. So what we're going to do here is we're going to do it behind the scenes in the spirit. So look at verse eight and it says to bind, which means to yoke or hitch their kings with chains and their nobles with feathers of iron. Okay? Want you to pay attention to this scripture right here. You get to yoke the the king. If Biden's doing something evil, we have the right to yoke him. He's the king of America. Okay? He fulfills that role. The title is president. It means the same thing. You go a little further. You get to bind him with chains. Now, the word chains there is a leap forth word or a spark because it's really focused on fire. But when I see leaps forth, I see it grabbing him. See, you're now speaking action word into the spiritual realm. Remember, we can bind what we bind on earth is bound in heaven. What we loose on earth is loose in heaven. We get to bind the king. It grabs him. It it it sparks him and it it braids him. That word fetter there is braided twine. Um, in this case it's with twine or chains of iron, feathers of iron. And look at this. And then it says, "And their nobles," which means the word to be heavy. But because it's associated with the king, I'm adding the word government in here. Yes, I added this in. It was not in the Strong's dictionary, but it's very applicable. And I want you to see why. Oh, in fact, why is because when you are required to pay your taxes and it gets burdensome, it's hard because that's a thing on you that you're like, I don't want to pay those taxes. I know where they're going. They're going for evil or they're too much. Well, it's heavy. It burdens you. That is our government. So, that's why I'm applying this word here. So, look at this. So, you get to bind the king. You can yoke him, hitch him with a a chain that just leaps forth and grabs a hold of him. And the government with feathers of iron, you get to do that to execute upon them the judgment written. Now, what is the judgment written? Now, the word judgment there means verdict. The verdict written. Okay? The Bible is full of prophecy. I think you see where I'm going with this. Now, the word of God, you know, if you go read Jeremiah, Isaiah, and any of these prophets, and they come against certain kingdoms and nations, they are executing verdict, written judgment against them. When the Lord says this I have against you, remember Jesus did it to us. By the way, we are going to be doing Christlike things. So, we have to be like Christ. He did it when he wrote seven letters to the churches. But this I still have against you as you read through that. Oh, if you haven't read that, you haven't read any of this, you got to go in and read it. See how the written word judges. It's a verdict. Well, we get to make accomplish that written verdict on. Now, look at this. To execute, to do, make accomplish upon them the judgment written. This honor have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord. So, we get to do this to our kings, to our governments, and to ourselves, to those around us. And we get to speak these words of power and authority in the name of Jesus. Let's remember what Jesus said because it starts with spirit of forgiveness. Matthew 6:14 reiterating it here. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. Okay. So starts with forgiveness. Now let's start with an example prayer here. So, we're going to start this for me. Okay? So, put yourself in my shoes right now and be me or you be yourself. This is you individual. You're praying for yourself. Okay? That's what this is about. Dear heavenly father, I ask you to forgive me. Now, look at what I put in parenthesis here. I'm going to give you a list of things you can pray for. But you can pray for governments, kingdoms, world industries, family members, any special request request, you put that here, right here in this spot. So you acknowledge, you're telling the demons, you're telling the angels, you're telling the heavenly father, you're telling Jesus in the courtroom, I'm praying for and then you tell them. In this case, for this example, we're going to do me. So I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Forgive the sins of the land I walk on. forgive the curses spoken against me and the curses I've spoken. I also ask you to forgive the iniquity found within me in the name of Jesus. And I forgive myself of these things too. So you start with yourself. Why do you do this here? Because you're the one who's going to be praying. So you need to be in godly righteousness because when you speak the words of authority and you are actually atoning and you're going to stand in. You have to make certain that the devil has nothing against you. And it starts here. So you start asking for forgiveness. And when you do that, this is where now because when you speak words, the devil has nothing against you to stop you and what your words say. Oh, you better grab a hold of that one. Oh. Oh, this is awesome. This is awesome. Let's continue on. So, now that everything is forgiven, what you do now is you go after the demonic activity because they think they still have authority because they have a contract. You see, what happens is us, me, or the government or whomever you're praying for goes into a binding contract with the devil and allow the devil to do what he's doing to us. It's a contract and he's legally right to be there because of something we said, something we did, we sinned, whatever it is, he has the right to be there. So now that we forgave it though, we nullify that contract. And guess what happens? He no longer has a right. Because see, when you're standing before the throne room and and you say, "Forgive me of my sins." Jesus says, "Well, I forgive her." And then he goes to God um and heavenly father says I forgive her too. Okay. And he clears off all the contracts. You're clear. You're clean. You are righteous. That is how then I say okay Lord. And watch what you do next. Demonic activity loose me now in the name of Jesus. I bind you with chains of iron preventing you from interfering in my physical and spiritual life again. Ever again. get below my feet where you belong in the name of Jesus. He has to let you go. So, let's say you have a loved one who's dealing with alcoholism or drugs um or is in jail for whatever reason or whatever. This is where you start. Forgive the curses against them. And notice I added the curses on the land because we're walking on the land. The land has been cursed. witchcraft, warlocks, and whatever they that's the they do everything they can to interrupt the land below your feet. So, you have to remove that curse. So, what I do, let's say I'm praying for a family member. Let's say it's my parents. I not only so when I put me in the spot of prayer, I'll put my parents there and I will say, "Okay, and any of their associates or family members with them because every one of us who associate with one another, we're cursing each other like it's no big deal because our language has gone that way. Oh, that food was too hot that they served or it was too cold. Why can't they serve hot food? Uh, this service here is lousy." These are curses that you're placing on whatever establishment you're speaking on. And the devil knows it and he's like, "Yep, that's what I'm doing. Anything to make your life miserable, that's a curse." This is why we have to forgive them. Because the moment you forgive them, wait a minute, God, how could you clear that? They did that. And he said, "Nope. Nope. They're forgiven. I don't see it." That is how God works. So let's let's continue on here. So you're going to now you're going to tell it demonic activity to loose you. And then look at this. Remember I told you you're going to apply scripture. Say I'm allowed to do this per Matthew 18:18. Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. I know the devil knows the scriptures, but it is our duty to say them when we're praying in the name of Jesus. Oh, hallelujah. So, now let's continue on because we cast out the demons, everything's forgiven. Here is Psalm 133:3. As the do of Hermon and as the do that descended upon the mountains of Zion, for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forever more. This is where you say, I bless my life as you have, heavenly father, life forever more. Oh, this is the part where you add whatever blessings that are in the Bible. I'm blessed to live a long life forever more. I have that right. When you bless your life with this, because remember the curses have been active in your life. You've just broken the curses. You got to replace the curses with something. You're bless you're replacing them with blessings. When you bless all the demonic activity going on around you where you might be in a place where it splatters on you, you're not involved with it, but it it's there. It could affect you where it kills you accidentally or something like this. But by you blessing your life or whomever you're praying, you're blessing them for that long life, which we're entitled. We're entitled to have that as you saw in that scripture. You can find other scriptures and put them in here. We're blessed with life as seek first the kingdom of God. All these things. Psalm 91. Find the scriptures. Put them in there. Speak them as you bless your life. Let's continue on. You know, and yeah. So, now that everything is forgiven, the demons are bound and whatever you're praying for. Now, here's Psalm 5:12. For thou, Lord, will bless the righteous with favor. Wil thou com compass him as with the shield? Here's another blessing. I bless my life with your righteousness and reaffirm your shield round about me. Look at what else you can add here. The fruit of the spirit, the gift of the spirit. Because if you're praying for somebody who's a non-believer, here's where things get very interesting. The gifts of the Holy Spirit works in a very interesting way. When you ask for the fruit of the spirit, you're asking for love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, goodness, meekness, faithfulness, and self-control. You're asking for those seeds to be planted in their lives. And what happens is you are asking them to be watered so that they grow and manifest in that individual to become a believer. Or let's say they are part-time church tenders go during Christmas or whatever. Now you can ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit to start talking in their minds. Give them the gift of discernment, the gift of wisdom, knowledge, gift of speaking in tongues, the gift of interpreting tongues, what and you and you know what? Because the Holy Spirit is not limited to all these gifts that Paul wrote because there's more. Ask the Holy Spirit to give them the gift that is appropriate for them at their time in their life. Sometimes you just got to go walking around smiling at people and that makes a change in their lives. Amen. Now, same principle when you're praying for governments and kingdoms. When you add the your your United States of America or any nation, here is where you can say Psalm 149:7 to execute vengeance upon the heathen, which is what we're studying here, and punishments upon the people. Every per, this is what you pray. Every person in leadership out there in the world, if they choose evil versus good, bind them tight so they can't breathe. Heavenly Father, place them in their sick beds until they repent, they will not be fruitful with evil in the name of Jesus. You have the right and authority to judge them and put you see the Bible tells you that when you are living in curses and you're rejecting God, you get sick and you die early. You can't breathe. You can't breathe spiritually. Well, you have the right and the authority to do that here. Um, same thing with verses 8 and n. every king or person in charge of anything that affects the people of the world. If you do not choose good for the people, but choose to do evil, I bind you tight in the name of Jesus. Heavenly Father, bind them so hard that they can't breathe. Place them in their sick bed so they cannot move forward with evil until they repent. I'm not asking them to be dead. Now, they may die because they ch they don't choose repentance, but the Holy Spirit is working in them. But because you make them so tight with sickness, they cannot move forward in evil. And I can tell you right now, nobody's been praying this because evil is running rampid in our country. Look what else you get to do. I get to stand in their shoes. I can stand in Biden's shoes. I can stand in my loved ones shoes who don't believe. I put myself in their place. Look at how this works. And atone for them, heavenly father. I speak on their behalf. It's like this. Lord, I say I'm stand in in so and so's shoes and I say, "Jesus, save me on his behalf. Jesus, heal me on his behalf." You see, this is how you do that. You're now interceding, atoning for them. Jesus, deliver me. Jesus, help me. Thank you, heavenly father, for your grace, mercy, and salvation, and allowing your saint saints to walk in authority with your name in the Jesus name. Amen. This is now you interceding and atoning for those around you. And I would make sure not just to target the one person you're wanting to see change in, but get everybody around them. If it's one cousin, get their spouse, get their children, get their parents. You want to cover all of them and include them all in that group prayer. That way you are ministering to them. Look at what you get to pray for. You start with me and you can do the nations and their governments and look at the people within those nations and their enemies. When Hamas attacked Israel, I was all upset, man. Al and the Lord reminded me, this is why he's showing me this. And he says, "I want you to pray for them." And I was like, "Okay, I'm gonna do it, but I don't want to." But I did it because it's obedience. Notice the title of this message. Praying through obedience. We've got to be able to be obedient. Control our mouths or tongues. Self-control. I'm not going to curse those that are supporting terrorism. I'm not going to curse them. I choose not to. I'm going to bless them and I'm going to ask the Lord to forgive them. But I'm also going to bind them if they choose evil over good. And I'm going to bind them so hard that they can't breathe. and they're in their sick beds and can't do anything until they repent. Oh, I hope you're grabbing this. I hope you are. - UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION PART 8 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
UNDERSTANDING THE BOOK OF REVELATION PART 8 Written Teaching Pastor Marcos Marrero June 21, 2009 Objective Equip listeners with a clear, faith-building understanding of the second half of the Tribulation in Revelation—how global government, Israel, and the Church converge under Christ’s ultimate judgment—so believers are reassured of their hope in Jesus while discerning the mark of the beast, the role of the two witnesses, the end-time timeline, and the call to steadfast obedience. Synopsis Opening & posture: A prayer of consecration and readiness to receive God’s Word, seeking protection from hindrances and an outpouring of blessing, peace, joy, power, healing, deliverance, and restoration. End-time framework (three converging “dispensations”): Nations/New World Order moving toward one world government and economy; Israel restored as a nation (yet “without the Spirit” in Ezekiel’s dry bones sense); The Church restored to apostolic foundations; a faithful Philadelphia remnant contrasted with a Laodicean church left behind. Seals & historical momentum: The spirit of antichrist, wars, and a demonic door of deception associated with 20th-century upheavals set the stage for present global consolidation and control. Rapture & mid-point shift (Rev 11): The faithful Church is caught up; the two witnesses minister for 1,260 days, are killed, then raised and called up. Their departure signals the “abomination that causes desolation”—the removal of anointed restraint on earth and a transfer of God’s dealing back to Israel. Economic control & the mark (Rev 13:15–18): The beast enforces worship through total commerce control—no buying or selling without the mark, name, or number (666). This marks the period when Satan rules globally through a man, unopposed by remaining spiritual restraint. Number symbolism & tabernacle typology: 153 as “sons of Elohim/children of light” (linked to John 21:11) → a picture of the completed people of God: Church (7 lampstands), Israel (12×12=144 showbread), plus the two witnesses = 153. Tabernacle layout illustrates the rapture, cleansing, reward, and entry into God’s presence; the two witnesses as olive trees alongside the lampstand. Second-half timeline (Daniel & Revelation): Post-midpoint period described with 1,290 days to judgment; overall antichrist ascendancy framed with 666 (interpreted here as a span of conquest) and a terminal 1,332 days culminating in Christ’s intervention. A seven-Sabbath (6×7=42 days) cadence of final bowl judgments completes God’s wrath. Three angelic proclamations (Rev 14): Everlasting gospel preached worldwide; Babylon (false religion) falls, demonic deception caged; Warning: worshiping the beast/receiving the mark brings irrevocable judgment. Martyr harvest & vindication (Rev 14–15): Those who refuse the mark are martyred, then gathered by the Son of Man and seen on the sea of glass singing the Song of Moses and the Song of the Lamb—law and grace united—awaiting temple access until the seven bowls finish. Final bowls (Rev 16) in weekly cadence: Targeted judgments (beginning with grievous sores on the marked) unfold over 42 days, demonstrating the incurable nature of allegiance to the beast. Second Coming & defeat of evil (Rev 19): Jesus descends on a white horse; the beast and false prophet are seized alive and cast into the lake of fire; the gathered armies are destroyed by the word of His mouth. Millennial horizon: Resurrected saints reign with Christ, serving as His administrators among long-lived, earth-bound survivors in a restored creation order. Appeal & assurance: Believers rest in Christ’s finished work—kept from the hour of testing—while those not yet in Christ are urged to call on His name today for salvation and peace. Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Very good. Thanks be to Jesus. Let me know if it's too loud. Hallelujah. Gloria. If you got the book, we're going to start on page 62. 62. 62. [Music] I got me new pair of glasses, so they work good. Father in heaven in Jesus name, we thank you for this opportunity to come and uh to partake of your word. Father God, we bind each and every spirit that would come to uh block or to hinder the flow of your anointing here tonight. Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come in agreement that we are servants and as servants, we need to be fed by the master. And we come to the master's table, our Lord Jesus Christ and his word, the bread that came down from heaven to partake of it. And there's a promise that as we partake from the bread that is presented uh in the book and through the book of Revelation, that it will be a blessing for us. And so we open oursel up to receive the blessing tonight, Father God. The blessing of peace, the blessing of joy, the blessing of power in the Holy Ghost, the blessing that brings healing, deliverance, and restoration to our spirit, to our souls, and to our bodies. Father, in Jesus name we thank you, Lord. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Thank God for his mighty mighty blessings. Hallelujah. Anyway, we are coming to the second half of the seven-year uh uh wrath of God. And so, I just want to give a brief description of of where we're going tonight. Uh I said that um God is bringing three entities or three dispensations uh together at the end time and he's bringing them together to deal with them or to judge them. Remember Jesus Christ the first time he came he came as a savior. The second time he comes as a judge. God has given to him the authority to deal with everything on earth. He is the last Adam. The dominion that God had originally given to Adam that Adam forfeited has been bestowed upon Jesus. Jesus says, "I have authority in heaven on earth and on the earth beneath and on the waters below." He's king of kings is lower lord. So he uh the reason why we know we're living in the last uh days is because this generation is the only generation that have seen these three dispensations come to place at the same time. We have the nations of the world now becoming into what is called the new world order. This new world order means that the earth for the first time since when Nimrod led a rebellion against God will come into one world government. We're living through that right now. You cannot have one world government without one world economy. Remember the biggest problem of getting uh uh Europe together was getting one currency. They finally got a constitution. They finally got one currency. England is the only one that's still holding to the pound and but that will be gone. The euro is becoming the center of that. So you cannot have one world government without one world economy. Then the uh nation of Israel which is a dispensation uh had to be brought back into place because God had to judge the nation of Israel not the Jews. The nation of Israel had to be judged. So that means that God had to bring Israel. Now, Israel is the only nation in the history of the whole world that ceased to exist for a large amount of time. In their case, almost 2,000 years. Actually, they were kicked out of the land in 65 AD by Titus, a Roman general, who destroyed the temple where Jesus was baptized in and uh in Jerusalem. They have been as a nation nonexistent for almost 2,000 years. Then out of the blue, according to the prophets, Israel was born as a nation in 1948. And as you know, there's been six wars to try to eliminate him and they still can. Okay. So, we have the nations of the world becoming one. We have the nation of Israel being established. But according to Ezekiel, without the spirit, if you read Ezekiel, Ezekiel looks at the valley of dry bones and God asked Ezekiel, "Can these bones live?" Ezekiel said, "I don't know." And then he said, "Well, prophesy." And then he says that as he prophesied, the bones came together, a whole army came out, but they didn't have a spirit. And that's what Israel has done. They have combination, but they still don't have the anointing. Why? Because the anointing has been given to the church. Now the church is another one dispensation that God is dealing with and the church dispensation had to be judged according to the apostolic foundations on which the church was founded. Ephesian Paul tells us that the church was founded upon the apostles being Jesus Christ the chief apostle of the chief cornerstone. Now we know that the church lost all of that through the middle ages and this year or this this this this last century. So the revival of the church and believe me very very few people that believe what do you call it the uh the uh the apostolic ship of the church. Very few of us believe on that. So the church but the apostolic has been restored. many prophecies. Uh um the guy that precided over the 1906 uh uh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, Seymour, he prophesied that it would be an outpouring again in 2006. He prophesied that there would be an upping but that this time would be worldwide. So the reason why we know we're living in the last generation because this is the only generation that has witnessed the restoration of of Israel as a nation according to the scripture, the restoration of the one world government and the restoration of the church to its apostolic roots. Why? Because when the church is judged, there's going to be a church that's left behind. The one that doesn't need Christ, that doesn't need the blood, that doesn't need those things. And there's a one that's true that's kept his name and that kept his his he his his word. You kept my word and you did not deny my name. That is the the church that is going to be raptured. Okay. So those three entities are in place. Now today we hear about this economic crisis that that is befalling everything. When we deal with the seals, I told you that the seals is the spirit or the force that drives the church age. And I told you that the first seal the antichrist was the antichrist going to conquer and conquering and to conquer that represents the spirit of antichrist that denies that Jesus Christ is the son of god. The second seal was wars and rumors of war but then out of those wars would come in one that would have a large sword and this is Hitler. Hitler opened a big spiritual door. I was watching something yesterday. It just blew me away how Hitler was. This guy was on a seance in 1913 or 14 and and uh a demon came in and told this guy, "You're going to meet the Messiah and you're going to groom the Messiah for his place." Three years later, this guy saw Hitler and the spirit said, "That's the one." And he began to groom Hitler. He lay hands on Hitler. 1923, the guy died of cancer. Another psychic came in and began to to move through Hitler telling happened to be a Jew, a Bulgarian Jew that when Hitler found out he was Jew, he killed him. All of this demonic roots of that guy is what opened everything we have today. All of the knowledge that is in the world today came through Hitler. Believe it or not, this was a door, a demonic door that was open. All this surgery, all of this uh uh uh uh heart transplant li all of that knowledge came through the human experiment that Hitler did, all kinds of doctor, all of the space rays, all of these rockets, all of the jet engine, all of these things. And and then on this towards the end it says now that when Hitler died that many believe that he went underground that he got into a submarine because Hitler the whole time that he was there he was searching for the hole that would lead to the center of the earth because they believe that the earth is hollow and that there was a superior race of beings locked up underneath the earth and he was looking for an access to that. And I've been telling you that the antichrist is a beast that rises out of the abyss and this happened when when we get to the trumpet judgment. So I mean it's just so much going on that it is just incredible how we are living in the end times. We are definitely living on the end times to where we're seeing right now an a world economy and whoever controls the economy controls the world. And that's what the antichrist does. He controls the world. Now we said that when the sixth trumpet blew the church was judged that Leo the church got left because they had Jesus on the outside. Behold I send them the door and knock. If anybody hears my voice and open the doors I will come in. That church get left behind. The Philadelphia church the one that keeps his word and the one that does not deny his name his deity that church is gone. That begins this seven-year period. We said that dur during the first 1260 days, God released the first five months called the first wool. All of the demons that are in hell. Why? Because Jesus comes to the air and that's where Satan is now. He's the chief ruler principality that is on the air opposing our prayers and and everything. Everything that comes from heaven has to travel through that. That's why when Daniel was praying, Gabriel was held up. When Jesus comes in, he dislodges Satan out of there. It says there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels and the dragon and the angels could not prevail and they were cast to the earth. They were removed out of that uh demonic realm. And that's where we go meet Jesus. That's where the rapture when he said we we're not going to heaven. We're going to be caught up with the Lord in the air to meet him in the clouds and the air. So when Satan gets thrown out of that place, that's where we were taken out to that place. And while we're there, these demons are now on earth. And for five months, they're given power to torment everybody, but they cannot kill anybody. So God in his grace allows this to happen. Then four angels are released from the river Euphrates that have been locked there. And then these are the ones like the executioners and they deal with this. And at the end of this, which is where we finished last week, the two witnesses are killed and then they are raised up to life. At the end, they prophesy for 1,260 days, which is uh uh uh 42 months. They are killed. Their bodies lay in Jerusalem for three and a half days. After that, the meaning towards the evening, the spirit of God come upon him, raises them up, and says, "Come up here." And then we saw that that was the the second uh resurrection or the second stage of the first resurrection. You have the resurrection of the church which includes a rapture. You have the resurrection of the saint of the first half of the tribulation which includes God taking people to the earth to protect them. And we read that last week. In other words, uh when you are resurrected, you becomes like the angels of heaven. you're not human anymore in the sense that you can reproduce. So because of that, God has to keep humans uh uh uh on the earth for Israel to reproduce. These people we read last week as they go into the holes and into the caves, their idols, which is the demons are going to be left to the bath and to the bowls. they go through that, God is going to do a a a purification to where when they go into the earth, they're delivered of every demonic thing. They are not released until when Jesus Christ comes back and he brings them up. Now, what I want to deal with tonight is what happens in that middle and in the second half. And um we're going to start in Revelation chapter 13. If you got the book, it's at the very bottom of the page 62. That's where it start. Revelation 13 15-8 it says he was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. Now notice that the power of this beast has to do with the ability to buy or to sell an economic thing. Back in the days when everybody was farmer, you didn't have to buy anything. You could grow your own tomatoes and stuff you could do with everything. Now today, very few people could do that. So now here's what happened. Uh at the end of the 1260 days, the two witnesses are killed. They're laying in the mount. The world is rejoicing because to them, these people were men from outer space. Aliens were tormented them. We the humans finally figure out how to kill them. They're laying there at the end of this three and a half days. Their bodies come back alive and they're taken. Now, Daniel says that when you see that happen, when you see the desolation, the abomination that causes desolation, it tells to all of the Jews, flee to the mountains. If you're in Judea, flee to the mountains. We have a scripture over here. Uh, let me see if I can find it. Okay, it's a little further down the road. Let me not get ahead of myself. But anyway, what happens is these uh Jews have to flee to the grounds to the caves because God is going to use them to restore the nation of Israel physical. We remember we're in heaven. Everybody that's resurrected goes to heaven. So now as soon as the two witnesses are removed, the anointed authority on the earth is removed for the first time ever. From the time that God created Adam, the dominion was given to Adam. Even though Adam's sin, still his clothes, the clothes that God gave him from the animals that he killed represented the men who had the authority that was passed down to Noah, that was passed down to Shem. And all through I don't care how many darkness has been in the church age has been the church even when the church was in the medieval days corrupted even today when the church corrupted still the church is God's representative on the earth it's not until the church is removed the anointed the the remnant God always has a remnant remember when Elisha was fighting uh uh uh uh Elisha said to God they kill everybody and they're after me and the only one left and God said to Elijah I got 7,000 who have not bowed their knees to bail. God always has a remnant which Satan doesn't know where they're at, otherwise Satan will get them. But God always has a remnant. Okay? So this church when it is removed, the anointing is placed back upon Israel. Why? Because Israel is the one that now has to be dealt with. There's seven years left for God to deal with Israel. At the end of these three and a half years when the two witnesses are resurrected on the second part of the first resurrection takes place it Daniel says that it becomes desolate. The abomination that causes the desolation. Desolation means that the anointed authority from God upon the earth is removed. That means there is no power of prayer anymore. See, right now you could see an evil coming and just one little old lady that nobody's heard about it gets on their knees and praise to God. Paul puts it in Thessalonian. He says, "The spirit of antichrist is already at work. But there's something that's hindering him from coming on. But when that one that hinders him is removed, then he will be revealed." So this power of evil cannot be removed as long as there's an anointed person upon the earth that has power to pray because Jesus said, "I give you authority over all the power of the enemy." The enemy means Satan. Satan, the word Satan means enemy, adversary. That's what Satan mean. So every Christian, I don't care how simple or how weak or how imperfect you are, you believe the word of God. You believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he is the deity, that he was born of God, the the bloodline of, you have authority with God. Your name is written in heaven. As long as your name is written in heaven, you have authority. And the Antichrist cannot take over anything as long as we're there. This is how powerful we are. That's what Jesus said. But you see, once that anointing, we're removed, that anointing is passed through the Jews. The two witnesses are killed. They're removed. Where's that anointing goes? It's gone. That's why Daniel prophecy said the abomination that causes desolation. Now, the mark of the beast that we just read is the time that this Satan basically through this man rules over the earth without any opposition. This is the time. See, it says it is the number of a man. Notice what it says there. Uh it says um he the image of the beast that uh is able to speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all both small and great, rich and poor. That means the richest or the poorest, free slave. If you're in prison, there all have to receive a mark on their right hand and on their foreheads. And no one may buy or sell except the one who has the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. Notice is a mark that represents the name or the number of his name. This is important that you understand the number of his name. And then he says here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast for it is the number of a man. His number is 666. Now you say, "Well, how can I calculate or figure the number of the bees?" Well, uh, if you're on the book, uh, it's on page 63 at the bottom. If you got your Bible, you can go to Deuteronomy 32. Look at verses 7 and 8. In Deuteronomy 32:es 7 and 8, Moses, by the way, wrote 12 psalms. He dedicated one psalm to each tribe of Israel. Psalms 90 to 100, that's 11 psalms of Moses are there. Deuteronomy, this is this area we're reading now in Deuteronomy 32 is called the song of Moses. And the song of Moses is a prophetic. All 12 psalms of Moses are prophetic and they're rich in meaning. As a matter of fact, in in Psalm 90, Moses says uh the the teach us to number our days. teach us to count and then that's when he says that the days like a thousand years and a year is like a thousand day and then he says the lifespan of men remember when Moses live 120 years Joshua lived anotherund and some years when Moses's day people still a lot longer but yet in Psalm 90 Moses says the days the lifespan of a human is 70 years and then it's 80 if you have the strength now The Jesus said that the last generation shall not pass away until all other things take place. And what is we the the the Philadelphia church told in Revelation chapter 3? You have little strength. That's the key word that tells you that the last generation is going to be a 70-year generation because according to Moses, it lasts 80 years if you have the strength. our generation the last generation Jesus says you have little strength that means that that is a 70 year generation and that's a code word the 70 year okay now Moses is given as a code word over here in Deuteronomy 327 and8 and he tells the children of Israel said remember the days of old consider the years of many generations ask your father and he will show you ask your elders and they will tell you. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he said, "Bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel." All Jews see the world through a very simple light. You're either a son of Elohim or a son of Adam. You're either a Jew, light, law, enlightenment, or you're a gentile, which them is means like sinners. So in that verse over there, if you read it in in the original Hebrew, the sons of Adam means the humans, the unregenerated humans. The sons of Israel means sons of Elohim. Now you go to Psalm 82. I mean Psalm chap chap Psalm 8 I think it is and beginning at verse two it talks about the sons of Elohim what what are the uh what are we the children of men that you have given us power and it's talking about the sons of Elohim now why is that so important you mean because the phrase sons of Elohim has a numerical value in Hebrew and you see if we're going to figure out the mark of a beast it says that it's a number of a man and you need to calculate the number of a man. So the sons of Elohim, the letter sons of Elohim, Elohim means God. The sons of Elohim or the children of light or the enlightened children. That's why Jesus says you are children of the light. Don't hide your light under the butcher. We're sons of Elohim. We're children of light. Jesus said don't hide your light. We have a light. So the sons of Elohim has a numerical value of 153. Now, that is very important because when you get to John 21:11, and John is a spiritual version of of the gospel, it says there in John 21:11, Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land full of large fish, 153. And although there were so many, the net was not broken. Imagine that. I I was a fisherman. I I fish a lot in Cuba. I used to catch shrimp, octopus, I I catch all time. One thing you never do is you count the fish when they're more than 20. If you catch five or six, you remember how many you caught, but once you get up to 153 fish, you know that that's a lot of fish. The Bible is giving us something. Why is that happening? This is the last time that Peter cast the net. that is speaking about spiritually a symbol of this is the the collection of all the saints. This is the collection of all the children of light. This is a completion of law and grace because God gave a promise to Abraham. He said, "Your seed will be like the sand uh uh uh the sand of the seashore and like the stars of heaven." The promise to Abraham was physical and spiritual. They'll have children. Abraham is going to produce children that are going to inherit the physical kingdom of God. During the kingdom age, there's going to be two kinds of people. When Jesus rules and reigns on the earth, those of us who are resurrected and have the new body, we're going to be like Jesus. We're going to be totally physical, able to eat, stake, able to run, able to do all of things. But yet, we like Jesus going to be able to travel through walls and we're going to be able to travel at the speed of thought. I want to be in Cuba and I'm there because that's how Jesus's body is. That's the type of body we're going to have. And during a thousand years, it says that we're going to rule and reign with Christ. Well, how do you rule and reign with Christ? There probably not going to be no cars because there's not going to be pollution during the kingdom age. The kingdom age is going to be a rural kind of to where horses and and and ships with sales and stuff like that. How do the people that will be living in America at that time know what Jesus wants them to do when Jesus is ruling out of Jerusalem? Us. We're going to rule and reign with Christ. we're going to be able to pop over there. The Lord says, "Marcos, there I am. I want you to go tell Joe over there and that so and so that he needs to plant his this type of plant this time because that's what I'm going to bless." And I'm over here and say, "Hey Joe, why?" Because Joe doesn't have a new body yet. See, the people who survive this tribulation are going to come into a kingdom like it was before the days of Noah to where people live lives over a 900 years. Isaiah speaking about this. He says that during the kingdom age, a person who dies at the age of 100 will be like a baby dying. So these people all of this toxic and and and and son that kills all of that is going to be barred by the time we enter into the kingdom age. The people to survive and and and the people's going to be there, they're going to reproduce like crazy. There's not going to be no war. There's not going to be no devil. There's not going to be no death. So in a hundred years, I mean imagine when they came when Columbus came here to America 500 years ago, there were just a few hands of people, the whole continent of America right now has billions of people. This is how fast we multiply in just two 300 years. And yet all of those people died. Imagine if Columbus would still be alive. if all those people still be alive and reproducing because you know they they go to to a woman's ovary and they know that she's able she's had thousands and thousands of eggs they can figure out well if a woman reaches a place where she can reproduce no more why is it that in her DNA she has all of this thing because we were never designed to die and during this thousand-year reign of Christ we are going to fulfill the destiny for the entire human race both spiritual and physical so as we rule and reign with Christ there's is going to be people that's going to be earthbound. So that's what our job is that we are going to be able to go in front of Jesus in Jerusalem and go back. And it tells us that the nations that don't offer up the the right offerings to the Lord will not be blessed with rain. They will not have no rain. And so this is the system. So once you understand that, now you realize that God is taking because the Jewish race has to inherit the earth. They were given a physical promise. They were told that they were going to inherit the land all the way from the Euphrates all the way to the Mediterranean. They have never ruled that. Even during David and Solomon, they only rule onethird of the promise. During the kingdom age, that will be all their lot. Okay? And so now the antichrist, and we read this last week, the devil possesses him, goes after the woman, but she goes into the ground where she's protected. And then so he makes war against her offspring, those who believe in the law and those who believe in in in in in Jesus. And during this time now, this guy is going to control the whole earth. And his number is 666, meaning that that has to do with what he's going to control. Now, Satan is always an imitator. And everything that God does, Satan imitates. So the question that I want to ask you now is how did God arrive at the number 153? Why does the children of Elohim? Why is there a numerical value 153? To do that you need to understand what Moses did. Moses built uh the tabernacle which is a type. This is different uh things that went into the tabernacle. And in that he copied it from heaven. He gave us a picture of how God counts the children of Israel. When you went into the the u the holy place, let's say that this is the holy place and that this will be the door here. Let's say that from here to there this is hold the holy place. The holy place there was a curtain right here a very thick curtain and that part there was completely blocked and nobody could go into that side of the holy place except once a year on the day of atonement which is going to be next week by the way day of atonement. The only furniture that was on that side of the curtain was the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant was solid gold. You took this lid out, which was all one piece for the two angels. And inside of there was the ten commandments that God gave to Moses. There was a rod of h the rod of Aaron, a piece of dead wood that bought it and there was a jar of mana and that was placed in there that was into this holy place. Now in into the holy of holies in the holy place where the priest went in every day as you came in through the curtain on this side of it there was a minora which represents the church. You see revelation chapter one it says that Jesus was moving in between the church which is seven. So the church is seven sealed seven uh churches is on this side of the place. Now on the opposite side facing that it was what they call the table of showbread. And in this table there were 12 loaves of bread that were made fresh every Monday. They were put in there until the Sabbath day. At the end of Sabbath day that bread would be taken out and a new loaf would put in. You probably read about David when he was fleeing and they were starving and he came to a place and asked the priest, "You guys got anything to eat? The enemies is in our hill. we haven't eaten anything for two, three days. And the priest told him, "All we got is the table that's there." And and so they ate. When they asked Jesus about violating the law and stuff like that, said, "Haven't you read when David was fleeing and how he was fed from that bread?" Okay, now remember all of this represents something. Then in the middle facing the curtain where you couldn't open or go in there except once a year was this item. This is called the uh the altar of incense. Only a very special mix of 11 herbs and spices can be used there. And that was like this is placed in the front. No, now watch what this symbolize. The table of showbread symbolizes Israel. The minora represents the church. This represents the holy of holies, heaven, the presence of God. And here represents the the table where the incense is brought on. Incense represents prayer. You read that into revelation. Now before you came into the holy place and the rest of the thing, there was a big altar over here which is a big altar that you see u let me see uh if you can see it is right here. You see the smoke rising out of it. That was called the brace and altar. All the altar of great sacrifice. A priest came in through the door that was on the east. The very first thing he met was this huge altar where the sacrifice were offered. And then next to it was what called a labor. And there there's a picture is during the days of Solomon was a huge labor that was set on top of 12 boos. Now look what happened in Revelation chapter 7. We're told that the angel comes from the east. Why the east? Because in this place there were only one entrance and the entrance was on the east. The Bible tells us that God gives us beauty for ashes. Why? Because the altar of great sacrifice, when you offer a burnt offering, all that was left is the ashes that were in the bottom. When you live and you serve God and you die, your body is nothing but ashes. When the rapture comes, those ashes are put together, brought up. Now Paul says that during the the the resurrection and the rapture, those of us who are alive and remain are going to be caught up. So look at the picture. The angel comes from the east, comes through the door, comes right to the altar and every person who died in Christ, woo, rises up. And as he go up the stair, like the high priest used to go up the stair, every person who's still up here in the fire because we're in tribulation. That's why the the church go through tribulation. As we're going through this tribulation, we get caught up and we're taken. Now, where did we go to? Well, see, our goal is the Holy of Holies. That's where God is. That's where Jesus is. That's where the blood of Jesus is. So, the Bible says that we have wrinkles that have to be cleaned up. It's called the judgment seat of Christ. It's a judgment of reward. We're already been cut up. We're already been saved. is now we're going to give him uh clean clothes and we're going to give an assignment. Okay? Because God does everything right. So we're brought to this labor which represents the word of God that washes us. We all appear before the judgment seat of Christ. Once we're cleansed, the angel goes into the holy place. And what's the first thing he goes? He goes to where the manora is. That represents the church. That mean that our physical body now that has been resurrected will be united with our soul and our spirit which are now already seated at the right hand of God. Every person that has died with Christ is there is in the temple of God right now waiting. They cannot physically go into the presence of God yet until they're get their new body like Jesus. Remember Jesus said to to uh Martha or Mary said don't touch me. I haven't ascended yet. My physical body hasn't gone through into the presence of God yet. Okay. So then the angel comes in, grabs the church. That's when our bodies, our souls, our spirit, we're put one together just like Jesus. We become now like Jesus. We have a physical eternal body, but hallelujah, we're like him, eternal. Then we're taken up into the place of prayer. And we saw that there the angel was given mush incense to burn and that was the prayers of the saint. And as this is throwing up into the altar, we are taken into the presence of God almighty. But we see in Zechariah that next to the manura there were two olive trees. We know that these two olive trees are the two witnesses because we read that in revelation chapter 11 chapter 12. It says the two olive trees that you saw are the two that stand witness before the presenc Home Watch the Video Teaching
- YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A LISTENER OF THE WORD OF GOD | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A LISTENER OF THE WORD OF GOD Written Teaching Minister Lisa Kane April 26, 2024 Objective The objective of this teaching, Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God, is to equip believers with the ability to discern, evaluate, and respond rightly to the Word of God as it is preached, taught, prayed, or prophesied. It emphasizes the responsibility of each listener to test teachings against Scripture, make godly choices, and walk in love, forgiveness, and truth, ensuring they are not deceived by false or non-biblical words. Synopsis In this message, Lisa Kane highlights the believer’s responsibility when receiving the Word of God. Using 1 Corinthians 13:9 as a foundation, she explains that since we only “know in part,” we must be careful to measure every teaching and prophecy by the truth of Scripture. Listeners are urged to accept what aligns with the Bible and to reject anything false or misleading. Lisa shows from passages like Joshua 24:15 and Deuteronomy 30:19 that God has always given His people the power of choice—life or death, blessing or cursing. Likewise, when prayers or teachings contradict God’s Word, believers have the authority to reject them. Discernment, rooted in knowledge of the Word (Hebrews 4:12; 5:14), is key to avoiding deception. The message stresses that discernment must be exercised in the spirit of love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13, and never in condemnation. Since Jesus came not to condemn but to save (John 3:17), believers are called to walk in forgiveness and mercy, avoiding the role of the accuser which belongs to Satan (Revelation 12:10). Instead, they are to handle error with humility, prayer, and grace, leaving judgment in God’s hands. Finally, Lisa reminds listeners to continually seek God’s Spirit in the “secret place,” rely on His Word, and let their actions of love and forgiveness confirm their faith. True discernment flows from knowing Scripture, walking in love, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. The message closes with a call for believers to take responsibility for guarding their hearts and minds, choosing to serve the Lord faithfully, and allowing the Spirit of God to lead them in truth. Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I am Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this message on Friday, April 26, 2024. Welcome. This message is entitled Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God. Yes, you have a responsibility. So, let's dive into that. Let's open up in our word of prayer first. Father God, we thank you for your word that your word does not return void. But we pray that your Holy Spirit is involved in this word and that it manifests within us, Father God, so that we live by your word, hear your word, learn your word appropriately, and know how to discern going forward from here, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. All right. So, let's go to our opening scripture here. So, this is entitled, Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God. That's kind of a long title, but that's what it is. 1 Corinthians 13:9, for we know in part and we prophesy in part. So, the goal of this teaching is to help you understand how to discern a very good teaching of the word of God. Maybe parts of it is good, but parts of it is non-biblical. You need to know whether you need to accept that word that is either taught or prayed over you or prophesied over you or you need to reject th those uh words because it could be non-biblical words and it could go against what you've been working with the Lord on. This impacts you big time in your life. And because of that, I want to teach you how to manage that here and in your heart so that the spirit of God moves through your life and you stand firm in the word and you are not set apart or um distracted or deceived from a false teaching. Think of it like this. If you're in a um an event somewhere, it's a biblical uh Bible event or you're in the church service, everyone's shouting amen and clapping their hands, but you're sitting there going there's red flags in your mind, their alarm bells are going off like, did I hear him correctly or her correctly? That's what you need to be able to do. You need to judge that person's teaching. And remember, I used to, if you go back to all of my early teachings, first thing I told you is don't take my word for it. Go dive into the word of God and do your homework. And I still talk about you having homework. But I haven't done this in a while. And then I thought, well, let's do a full teaching on this, okay? Because this is very, very important. Right here in our opening scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:9, Paul is saying, "For we know, we absolutely know in part a division or a share and then we prophesy in part." This is the chapter of love. 1 Corinthians 13 is the love chapter. So, he's going into some detail here. We're going to get into uh love here in just a moment because that's one of the factors that's going to help you discern uh a good teaching or biblical teaching versus a non-biblical teaching. kind of help you discern um what you need to do or what your actions are after the fact. Okay, so that's what we're going to do. So he says you know in part. Why do we only know in part? Because we're not God. If you are standing on something so strong, vehemently strong that so and so is wrong, you are in the wrong as well. Why? Because if you are Christlike and you are walking with Jesus, you're in the business of forgiveness. So whether your brother or sister is wrong, what you do is you go through Jesus and you follow his process. So we're going to get into that here in just a bit. I want you to see and understand that you have the right to accept a word or teaching and you have the right to reject a word or teaching. Because see, the Bible's all about choices. There's many scriptures that talk about choice. So, you have to choose whether you want to believe the words that were placed over you or not. That's very important. Let's say somebody prays something, but that prayer doesn't line up with the word of God. It feels good. It sounds good. You know, when I was growing up, I grew up in the church. And when I knew I had a calling of teaching on my life, I remember taking some of the things we used to quote and run around saying all the time. I went to go put it into one of my teachings and I could not find scripture on it. I couldn't even find conceptual uh scriptures to go with it. Context scriptures. I was like, "Wow, made me think twice." And I, by the way, I can't even remember any of those now. I've been doing this for so long. But what I do now is all of my teaching come from the word of God. I am not going to um I'm not going to vary off of that. I if I bring in outside sources, yes, but it is to reaffirm the word of God. That is what I do. I'm called to teach the word of God, not Lisa's teachings. I'm not God. In fact, everybody you hear is not a God. It's not God himself. Yes, the Holy Spirit moves through us, but the Holy Spirit, Jesus has already spoken all the words through the Bible. We need to stand firm by the Bible. So you have the right to choose. Now let's get a few scriptures of choice that you can choose to live by because these are choice scriptures. So I want you to understand the choice you have ahead of you. So go look at Joshua 24:15. And if it seem evil, this is Joshua speaking to the congregation of Israel when um right either right before they go uh past the Jordan and go into the promised land or right after. He's right there and he says, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose." The word choose means to try, select, acceptable. Choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwelt. But as for me in my house, we will serve the Lord. And if you follow that, Joshua is their leader. Israel ends up following them. They go and fight Jericho right after that. And as they marched around doing something that seems so weird. They end up having victory, but they all chose to follow God. Now, when you choose to follow God, you're going to find that God is going to have you do weird things. He's going to have he he wants to teach you how not to limit him. So he wants to solve things that you're praying for, asking for in ways that um you probably will never ever think of. So he wants that freedom to be able to move with you. So this is the choice. But you have to make a choice to get there first. Me and my house shall serve the Lord or me and my family shall serve the Lord. So Joshua starts with that. Let's go to Deuteronomy because God also gave the nation of Israel choice. He says,"I call on," and this is Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both thou and thy seed may live." Now, what's so fascinating about this is that you see if somebody prays over you a prayer that's going to end up in death, that's not what you want. You want choice. So, if you're hearing somebody praying over you, prophesying over you, you can stop them immediately. Say, "I don't accept that. That's not biblical. That's not scriptural. That's not what God has for me. He has life for me." You see the difference? There's something here. Now, look at what this means. Life is being alive, fresh. Uh that word fresh also means like freshly plants and watered plants. It's really alive and fresh. Death means to be in ruined. How many people are living in ruin? Because somebody spoke a curse over them and they believed it. I hope you're getting this. You don't have to believe that. You do not have to accept something that somebody says over you. I remember years ago getting my ears pierced. The lady spoke about my loaves. Oh, you're one of those. You're going to have a heart attack and you're I said, "No, I'm not. I reject that." Yeah. See, you have to protect yourself against these words that people speak that they don't even realize that they're speaking. We're going to talk about that more here in a moment. Blessing means to have the benediction or prosper prosperity. you can be blessed financially. There's a lot of teaching right now that they said the church just went too far. They're just only calling on blessings and prosperity. We know that the disciples and the apostles were uh martyed. We know that they went to their deaths that they did not have uh over an abundance of blessings. They had every need met. Yes, that is scriptural. But God wants to bless you. Look at Abraham. Abraham had so much. It was incredible. Lot and Abraham had to separate because of the blessings of God that was placed upon him. King David, King Solomon, the volume. God wants to bless you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Now, if you're going to take your life to be like an apostle or a disciple, then you're going to want your daily bread ma ma met, as the Lord's prayer says, and you're going to want to realize that the sacrifices you're making for the word of God is going to follow the path of a disciple or an apostle. But you might not be called to be an apostle. Maybe a disciple, but not an apostle. There are different callings, different teachings. That is for another teaching. But understand the Lord wants you prosperous. He truly does. And then of course cursing which is the vilification. You can curse somebody. We see it on the news all the time especially when you come to like um courtroom for Trump and whatever. All these people saying he deserve what that's a curse. You just cursed him. Aren't you a believer in Christ? And aren't you supposed to be forgiving one another? That's what Christ does. He didn't come to judge this world. We're going to get into that here in just a moment. I want you to see Proverbs 28:4 and5. This is the choices and the consequences of the choices you make. They that forsake, they chose, they let go, relinquish, loosened the law. Now remember, the law is what was first. Jesus fulfilled the law. Now we walk in forgiveness. So uh the author here is teaching us when you forsake God's law and you praise the wicked or the morally wrong but such as keep a hedge but he's telling you but instead keep hedge about protect your mind the law within your heart contend with him let's read this without the extra words remember when I teach here the bolded word is the original word in the King James version the words in parenthesis are other words that the word could be translated into. Okay. So, they that forook forsake the law praise the wicked. But such as keep the law, those that keep the law contend with them that are wicked. And that word contend means anger metal. In other words, if I choose to keep the law, I'm making them angry. Good. Maybe it'll shake them up, but you will have an enemy who will be angry with you and upset with you because you choose God first. They don't like that because it exposes them for the darkness that they're in. It exposes them for the choice that they made that they're happy and content with the choice that they made. Again, we're starting here with a choice. You have a choice. Do you want to choose to be morally wrong, evil, or would you like to choose to walk with God in goodness? Most people want to say, why choose goodness? They don't choose God. They'll choose goodness. But remember, God encompasses everything about that is good. Let's continue on. Verse five, evil men understand not judgment or the verdict. You see, when you choose evil, there is a consequence, a judgment, a verdict against you already. You are already condemned when you do not choose Jesus. As simple as that. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except through Jesus. The moment you do not choose Jesus and you reject him, you are already judged and verdictked. The verdict is in. You are not saved. You have to go to Jesus to get saved. That this is scriptural. This is a foundation. Says, "But they that seek or search out strive after the Lord understand all things." And that word understand means to separate mentally. You're cunning. You discern. You see, your mind has to be able to discern discern what's going on. The little little things that take place, that little line that can easily be crossed. You should have red flags, bells going off when you hear something that don't sound right to you because you made the choice to walk with God. You made a choice to walk in his law or in the name of Jesus, which is the time frame we're in right now. You choose to walk that way. And because of such, you have the ability to discern, understand what someone is teaching you. Now, you're better off understanding it once you know the word of God and you're in it. You have to do your homework here. If a preacher's preaching something, he's just reading scriptures here and there. You have to pause, think about it, take it home, read those scriptures, see if it's within context, see if it meets the measure of what the Lord is trying to teach you and then accept or reject. And sometimes we just get caught up in the feeling and the emotions behind a very good teaching pastor who builds us up. Oh, it sounds good. They all applaud. Yeah, he misspoke something. That's how the devil does it. He sneaks in like the little sneaky thing. Now, look what Jesus does there. So, this is uh something I want you to see that we can walk with that helps us. John 3:17, for God sent not his son into the world to condemn, distinguish, desise, judge the world, but that the world through him might be saved, delivered, protected. First, that is the rock and the foundation we stand upon. We stand upon the name of Jesus. And the name of Jesus came not to condemn. We already have an accuser who condemns. I'm going to show you that here in just a moment. Jesus didn't come to condemn. He didn't judge anyone. He doesn't judge anyone. He came that the world would be delivered, protected, saved. Look at what John 8:15 says. Ye judge after the flesh. I judge no man. The word judge is to distinguish, decide, condemn. Jesus says, "I judge no man." So a preacher gets up to you gets up there on the preaching stand, he preaches, she preaches, you're judging that preacher. So if you're Christlike and you're going to be like Christ and you're going to walk with Jesus, you judge no one. Okay? So what I want to show you is that as you judge it, because we've been given a gift to judge, we know how to measure something. The the whole point of that gift is not to condemn, but that they might be saved. So there's a tactful way to handle someone who makes a mistake. You made a mistake. All of us have fallen short of the glory of God. We have all made mistakes. None of us is perfect. None of us is God. Which means we need to be walking in forgiveness. Going to show this here a little bit more. But I want to show you about the word of God. Remember John 1:1. In the beginning was the word and the word was God and the word was with God. Okay. Now let's go to Hebrews 4:12. For the word of God is quick life and powerful. It's active. It's operative. It's sharper than any two edges or piercing. It reaches through even to the dividing of sunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner, decisive, discriminative of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So now, if you're going to judge, you got to judge through the word of God because that is what's going to help you discern. Look what it says here, the thoughts and intents of the heart, your heart, and whoever you're listening to their heart. You need to be able to discern. Now, let's go to Hebrews. I want you to see something here. Hebrews 5:14. But strong meat belongth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised in discern, judicial estimation, disputation, both good, which is beautiful, valuable, virtuous, and evil, worthless, depraved, injurious. You see, we have been given the ability to discern and we need to use our discernment appropriately to accept or to reject what we're listening to. Not just listening to a preacher or a teacher or an evangelist or even if we're reading the Bible, we're listening to God. Sometimes what happens is we take it one way and God did not mean it that way. And we have to be able to discern because there's a way we have to say, "Hey Lord, I don't get this. How do I understand this? Show me the way." And you wait on the Lord and he will show you the way. This is how we understand things. This is how we discern things. Now, so we have basis number one. Know your word. Okay? Many of us don't know our word. Uh we die through the lack of knowledge. We're actually destroyed. That word destroyed uh means that we are made dumb and stupid. And that's true because we don't know the word of God. We don't know the blessings and the strengths that the Lord has placed upon us. We don't understand it because we're not doing it ourselves. And for those that do do it for ourselves, the problem we have is we get a little hottier and hotter and the Lord has to remind us to become humbled before him because we only know in part. We don't know the whole thing. We're not God. We're where we are weak. He is strong. So he brings out our weaknesses to expose his strength. This is how God operates. Now, so you need to know your word. That's the foundation number one. Foundation number two is you have to know the emotion behind the teaching you're receiving. Whether it's through a teacher or what you're learning about the word of God or anything else around you, look at the motivation, the emotional motivation, it needs to be done in love. 1 Corinthians 13:1, though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, men and of angels, meaning if you can speak in tongues and you have that gift, you speak to angels. Well, even if you can do that, almighty one, look at this. and have not charity or love. The word there is affection or benevolence. I am become a sounding brass or a tinkling symbol. I don't make sense anymore because I'm not doing it out of love. Now, why do I teach a message like this of this magnitude? One, I'm doing it because I love you and I want you to find the word of God and walk with the word of God in truth and not be deceived by this world. So, I'm coming through with love, gentleness, kindness. These are the things that I'm speaking the word of God through. You don't do that, it's you you're not you're clinging. You're you're not making sense. You're going to set off red flags and alarms in the people who are following the love of God. Look at verse uh 13 now in the same chapter. And now abide in faith which is your persuasion, your credence, hope, anticipate, expectation, charity, affection, benevolence. These three, but the greatest of these is charity. Your affection and benevolence needs to speak for yourself. You see, your actions are going to speak more than whatever words you speak. That means your body language needs to be showing the love of God. You need to be walking in the love of God. That means helping people. You've got to be there for them. Let me pray for you. Let me help you. Let me walk you through this. Let me show you where this is in scripture. You have to be able to want to do that. That is part of discerning. Okay? That is how we discern. So, we have to know our word. And when we don't, here's the thing. The Holy Spirit will show you. He will and and you will know it in your heart. But he's going to show you through a scripture. He wants you to understand it through him directly. For the record, God doesn't need any preachers or pastors or teachers. I mean, he's established his church, but the Holy Spirit could have fulfilled all those roles. Instead, he calls you and I to be in these positions so that we can teach through him for people who need to see and can only see the physical. They don't see the spiritual atmosphere. They can't understand it. It's beyond them. So, we have to be there for them. But we have to also remember we're not God and we fall and fail. Which means we don't want to lose our loved ones. These ones that we're trying to save and keep in the line of God. Amen. Look here in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 10-14. But God hath prevailed. He took off the cover them unto us by his spirit. For the spirit teacheth all things. Yeah. The deep things of God. The spirit's going to teach you. He's going to You're going to open up your Bible and you start reading, you're going to be like, "Wow, that's the answer for what I was facing and needed to hear." Lord, thank you. That's how it works through his spirit. For what man knoweth or is aware the things of a man, save the spirit of a man which is in him? Even so, the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God. The spirit of God is what's going to do everything and move through everything. Not by us, not by strength, not by power, not by I call it down in the name of Jesus. It doesn't work like that. It's by the spirit of God. Amen. It's by the spirit of God. He is moving. Verse 12. Now we have received or we take we get hold of it. Not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. You see, you want to hear that word of God. It's being given to you freely. I freely preach here, by the way. And what I do is I give this to you freely because this is what the Holy Spirit has shown me. I'm not perfect. I'm just going to have to just set aside and let that go in the name of Jesus. I have to ask the Lord's Holy Spirit to come and speak through me because it is done by spirit. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things or divine things with divi uh with spiritual. This is how we discern. So now verse 14, but the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness. Remember what I talked about Jericho? The Lord had him march around the city six times, once each day for six days, and then seven times on the seventh day. And they shouted, and the walls came tumbling down. That's not usually how battle is done, but God chose to do it that way. Amen. for for they are foolishness or silliness, absurdity unto him. Neither can he know. Absolutely no. Or allow them because they are spiritually divinely discerned. You have to be able to discern, scrutinize, investigate, examine, judge. That's what discernment is all about. And to have that discernment, we're going to have to judge. But Jesus taught us that he does not judge or he does not condemn. So what does Jesus do? Let's go to Matthew 6:14-15. For if ye forgive, you send forth, you leave men their trespasses, a slid slip, offense, or sin, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. That's not talking about eternity as walking in your daily life with God. You see, if you're going to judge, you've got to judge in forgiveness. Now what you do after that is you take it to the Lord and you say Lord what you do is you say Lord either I'm misunderstanding this and always always always take yourself to the Lord first you know it could be that you're misunderstanding something you don't know everything yet you only know in part so somebody teach you something that seems so radical way out here in left field you're going to be wondering well Lord what is this So he says, "I will show you." So you go to him and you say, "Lord, I judge this, but I see it and I don't think I have enough information to understand it. So I'm here pausing. What is it that I'm missing? What did I misunderstand?" Or, "Lord, are they false teaching? Is this a false teaching that's taking place?" Because I need to know if this is, then I don't want to accept it. And the Lord will reveal it to you through his word and through his spirit. Hallelujah. And remember, we are in the times of the Gentiles. This is the time of fullness of Gentiles, which means we walk in forgiveness. I'm going to show you something here. Look at Luke 21:24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trotten down of the Gentiles until the times, that's an occasion or set or proper time of the Gentiles be fulfilled. This is the time we're in. as prophesied. By the way, the Gentiles are not filled yet. We're not done. We keep preaching Jesus and we need to continue to preach Jesus, which is forgiveness, salvation, the good news. He came and redeemed each and every one of us. So in Matthew 18, if you read the whole thing, it talks about do not de deceive or lead astray the little children. And then he said, Peter says towards the end of the chapter, well, how many times am I supposed to forgive seven times? Jesus says, I'll take it further. 70* 7. You can take that scripture one of two ways. You can take it as meaning well forever. You have to forgive them forever. That is true because we're not God. If you take it literal and you do 490 times, you would have to write down that one sin and see if that person committed it 490 times, are you going to be over that person's life that many times for that one sin? And now, by the way, that's just one sin. That's not counting all the sins we commit. You'd have to keep a book in record. The only one who can do that is God himself. This is why you and I who are not God have to humble ourselves and forgive our brothers. Forgive our sisters. Forgive. Walk in the mercy and the grace of what Jesus stands for because we are Christlike Christians in the name of Jesus. Walking in Christianity with Jesus through salvation. Oh hallelujah. And remember everything is done by the mouth. Romans 10:9 says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. You have to confess your forgiveness. You have to say it out loud because you have a cloud of witnesses watching around you. The devil is watching you. Angels are watching you. God is watching you. Use your mouth, which is the foundation of using the word of God. Speak forgiveness. Speak love. This is what we're supposed to call on. I'm not calling on a million dollars. I'm calling on the name of Jesus who is over my finances because he's above money and better than money. Hallelujah. Now, if we choose to accuse the person that we think did wrong, we have a couple of issues we have to be very careful of. One, they these people have an anointing on their lives. Now, David, King David, who murdered a man, God didn't remove him from his kingdom. God forgave him, but took his son that he had with Basheba that God took the son but David remained king. He was wrong. Should have been removed but he wasn't. So now what do you do? You do not take up the the accusers's position. We're not accusers. The devil is. Go to Revelation 12:9 and 10. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ. For the accuser against one in the assembly of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." The devil's accusing everybody all the time before God day and night. Don't do his job for him because you identified an error or mistake or a sin. No. Matthew 18 tells you what to do. But first, first first take it to God. Pray about it. Let the Lord lead you. You know, I'm I have no right to judge or condemn you. I'm not God. I messed up myself. And because of that, we have to humble ourselves before the Lord and realize we're not the accusers. We have to walk in mercy and grace. Look at Galatians 3:26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. That's who you are. So what your job and your responsibility is is you have to know your word. So get into it and start studying if you're not already doing start memorizing it. Let it penetrate your soul. You have to walk in love in the charity that God has given us the benevolence and your actions of love. Your actions need to speak louder than your words. Let your actions speak for themselves. Get groceries for your neighbor. Help them get to church. Pray for people. Lay your hands on them so they stop being sick because that is what we're called to do. Forgive one another is another one. We need to humble ourselves and forgive. And another part of discernment. Zechariah 4:6. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, "This is not the word of the or excuse me, this is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts." It is the spirit of God that is going to move and do everything. You have no right to accuse, so don't do it. You're not the accuser. You have the gift to judge. Judge with love and give it to the Lord. Let the Lord, let the spirit of God move and handle the whole situation. Walk in mercy. Walk in forgiveness. Walk in that love because that is what we're called to do. And again, get to know the word of God and let it penetrate so you recognize immediately what's going on so you can go right into prayer at that very moment. And you should be praying in advance in your secret place with the Lord at all times. You know, I couldn't do a teaching without talking about the secret place of the Lord. Amen. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. We bless your word that the enemy does not take it from us, but that we retain it, remember it, apply it to our lives, and live it. In the holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. God bless each and every one of you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Home Watch the Video Teaching
- IN HIS PRESENCE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
IN HIS PRESENCE Written Teaching Minister Lisa Kane December 15, 2024 Objective To teach believers the importance of intentionally entering into the presence of the Lord, not just during church gatherings but in personal, daily life. The teaching draws from Psalm 16 to show how God’s presence brings joy, protection, renewal, and healing, and emphasizes the power of speaking God’s Word in faith to invite His presence into every circumstance. Synopsis In this teaching, Lisa Kane shares a heartfelt message on the power and necessity of dwelling in His presence. Beginning with Psalm 16:11, Lisa explains that life in God’s presence is fresh, alive, and filled with fullness of joy. The psalmist demonstrates how to speak to God, to one’s own soul, and to others, acknowledging that true strength comes not from our own goodness but from God’s mercy, grace, and redemption. Lisa emphasizes that entering God’s presence is an intentional act—one that requires stopping, speaking His Word, and putting Him first, regardless of circumstances. She teaches that God’s presence is not limited to church, but is available anywhere: at home, in the car, or in quiet moments of prayer and worship. Through verses in Psalm 16, she highlights how God provides protection, counsel, and stability, holding us together even in seasons of adversity. The message also warns against relying on “other gods”—whether people, doctors, or distractions—reminding believers that faith and trust must be placed solely in the Lord. Lisa explains that healing and renewal flow naturally from being in God’s presence, where sin and its consequences cannot stand. Drawing from both Old and New Testament scriptures, she shows that calling upon the name of the Lord brings salvation, deliverance, and preservation in every situation. Ultimately, In His Presence encourages believers to seek God first, to call on His name, and to delight in Him above all else. The result is joy, peace, strength, and renewal—benefits that far surpass anything the world can offer. Written and/or Transcribed Teaching from Video Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we know that your word shall not return void. We pray that the hearers and the listeners to this teaching will have hearts prepared to receive you to be in your presence and to feel that anointing of who you are as you touch our hearts and our minds. Thank you, Father God. We love you and praise you and uh thank you that your word does not return void. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Okay. Okay. So, the anointing is pretty strong here. So, I'm a little on the emotional side, but we'll get this out. Amen. So, this teaching is called in his presence. So, let's go to our opening scripture here in Psalm 16:11. And we're going to be in Psalm 16 for most of the part of this teaching. Verse 11, thou wilt show me the path of life. The word life means a or another word that you can place in the word of life is alive or fresh. In thy presence or your face is fullness of joy, glee, pleasure, mirth. At thy right hand there are pleasures delightful, sweet for ever more. Well, I'm glad you can join us today here at House of Faith Ministries. Let me show you how I do my teachings. I'm going to present the scripture to you here through the King James version. The bolded words are the words that are in the King James version. But the the translators could have used other words to um express that word if they wanted to. In the case of like word life there is alive or fresh that also just elaborates a little further. So what I'm doing is taking those other words that it could have meant and adding it in because it kind of gives you a bigger picture. Amen. Amen. So, we're going to be talking about in his presence. And there's something about being in the presence of the Lord. And I'm not talking about church. Church is wonderful. I think we need to be at church. Uh we get to um socialize. You you get a second family there. And um you get to pray with one another and you get to um rejoice in praise reports and weep with one another when you're hurting or in pain. Well, here in this teaching in this what I'm talking about in this teaching is in his presence. I'm talking about entering into his presence on your own time. Yeah. Doing it on purpose. I have been teaching for years now about the secret place of the Lord. And in a way, I'm kind of leaning towards that. But as you can see, being in his presence takes purpose. So, we're going to look at what the psalmist says here in Psalm 16 about the purpose of being in his presence and what it does. Now, there are many, many scriptures I can teach on and have taught on about uh being in that secret place with the Lord, but there's something about being in that presence of him. Even when all everything else is going on, you stop and you purposely put him first. Makes a world of difference. Let's go to Psalm 16. We're going to read verses 1 through3. Let's start with verse one. Preserve me, oh God, for in thee do I put my trust. Preserve is hedge about or guard me. And then it says, for in thee do I put my trust. So first I want you to notice uh something. He's talking to God and he's speaking a word. The spoken word is the power that we have in the authority of Jesus Christ. So in the beginning was the word and then if you go down to verse 14 in John chapter 1, you will find out that the word became flesh. Well, in the beginning was the word. Genesis 1 1-4 says, "Let there be light." And there was light and God said saw that it was good. That spoken word is the authority that we have. So this psalmist speaks to his situation. He speaks to God first. Says, "You need to put your hedge around me. You need to guard me. And as I'm fleeing for protection, I'm going to confide in you because that's what that word trust there means." So this is what he's doing. He puts God first. So he's in a circumstance. Whatever it is, it he doesn't say what it is. He's simply saying, "Put your hedge of protection around me and I will trust in you." Okay. Now, verse two, he starts he changes. He He's not talking to God anymore. He's talking to himself. And he says, "Oh my soul, thou has said unto the Lord, thou art my Lord." Now, and thou art my Lord. Again, his soul speaks to God, but he's telling his soul, "I know that you've spoken to God because I know you said, "Thou art my Lord." And when you get to Romans 10:9, it says that if you confess with your mouth, you're speaking a word. says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, healed, delivered, preserved. We're going to see more of that here at the end of the teaching. So, here he's saying to his soul, "Thou art my Lord." And then he's acknowledging something here. He says, "My goodness extended not to thee." We can be as good as you think you can be. By the way, how you think and what you believe is what makes you strong. So if you think you're strong and you think you're that good and you got the goods, you know, you're the one who's been in the presence of the Lord, you've been doing all this. Uh-uh. Even though this psalmist has been in the presence of the Lord and he's acknowledged that he's spoken to the Lord, he's also acknowledging that his goodness is worthless. that hasn't he hasn't my goodness extended not to thee there's nothing I can do on this earth in the name of goodness that's going to get to God because God doesn't work that way. God works through redemption. God works through forgiveness and mercy and grace. That's how God works. And and he works by faith. He does not work by how hard or how strong you can handle the situation on your own. It doesn't work that way. Now, let's go to verse three. But to the saints that are on earth, now he has shifted. He's talked to God directly. Then he talked to a soul acknowledging that his soul has talked to God directly. Now he's saying, "But to the saints that are on that are in the earth and to the excellent in whom is all my delight." In other words, into the powerful Savior we have, the powerful Lord we have in whom is all my delight, a valuable thing. Now he's saying, look it, look it. He's saying, I am talking to you saints and to God. I want you to see that I have a delight in my Lord. Even though all this is going on, I delight in him and I put him first by acknowledging and speaking that word. And it's so powerful because he's saying this is my this is what I value. This is what's valuable to me. That's where desire desire is. You value it. Do you desire a new car or do you desire God? God himself and his blessings or just God himself sometimes and that's what this teaching is all about is doesn't matter whether we get healed or not. Sometimes just coming into his presence is enough. It's just what I needed. Even uh people who are non-believers or have one foot in the world and one foot in uh the word even they will acknowledge going to a counselor speaking to someone because they get it off their chest. They go into the presence of this counselor. Well, you have the greatest counselor ever, our heavenly father. He is so valuable. We desire him and his presence. And when you do that, things happen. You get it off your chest. This is someone you can confide in. This is someone who you can trust that this is someone you can call and have him place his heads of protection around you. He's got you. And understand when I talk about being in his presence and and we're not talking about being in church. I've already addressed that. We're talking about stopping wherever you are. It can be in your car. So, we're not talking about a physical place. We're talking about a mental place, a place in the mind that we know we can go before our God, that we can trust in him, that we can know that he's got his hedge of protection around us, and that we take our mouth and acknowledge it. Hallelujah. Verse four, their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another God. Remember he's talking to the saints of the earth and he's saying their sorrows which is idols pain wound shall be multiplied that hast another god their drink offerings of blood will I not offer nor take up their names into my lips. Now I want to pause here and I want to address something because this is going to bring to light hopefully the understanding of this entire teaching. Who do you believe? And I've taught on this before. Do you believe the doctor or do you believe God? And he's clearly mentioning this here. I want you to see that anybody who goes after another god is your doctor your god is your music your god is running away your god. Oh, see the moment you don't put God first, you're doing the opposite. You're going after another God. And whatever sorrow, whatever pain, whatever wound, whatever idol you're looking at is going to multiply and it's not going to help you. So if you've been asking God to heal you, do this, do that, but you do it on Sunday service and the rest of the week you you're just a healing that nobody in your world knows that you even believe in a God. Well, then you're sending mixed messages to God. You know, why should he heal you? I just asked that question. Now, keep in mind, he's going to heal whomever he wants and he has healed unbelievers. So, you know, God can do whatever he wants to do. I'm just trying to get you to understand that when Jesus says your faith has made you whole, your your faith made you healed, you can be healed through your faith. It's up to you if you want to stop and spend some time with the Lord. Now, here's the thing is that it doesn't matter if you get healed or not because just being in his presence is the healing that heals your soul. heals your spirit, heals everything inside, helps you change things and turn things around. It gives you the confidence. It re uh reinvigorates you, gives you energy, strength because that's who God is. He's life. So you become alive, fresh in his presence. Verse five, the Lord is a portion of mine inheritance and of my cup. Which that word cup represents the words to hold together. Let me let me see if I can address this in a way there. Sometimes you get to a line and you are barely holding it together and you know that if that line got crossed, you're going to lose everything in your mind. you're going to lose everything that you you you think it's going to just be all lost at this point because you reach that point, that point where your cup breaks because it's no longer being held together. So it says, "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup that hold he's the one that holds it together. Thou maintainest my lot." You see, still the psalmist is saying, "You're holding me together." That's because he's entering into his presence. The psalmist is talking about being in the presence because he spoke into the Lord. He invoked the Lord's by calling on his name, which we're going to see scripture here in just a moment about that. So, he's saying, "The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup that holds it together." See, God is the one who's going to hold you together. He's the one who's going to keep you from crossing the line. He's the one who's going to show you that that mountain is a molehill, that it's not as big as you think it is, that it is simpler, that life is a joy. Let's continue to see what the psalmist says. Verse six, the lines or your district or the inheritance that that God draws out, that's what this is referring to, are fallen unto me in pleasant places. Yeah, I have a goodly heritage. He's acknowledging life's good for him. So there is now no problem that he was started talking about in verse one. All of a sudden he says, "The Lord has given me my lines, my portions, and they're good." Why? Because he called on the Lord. He's in the presence of the Lord. Have you ever gone into the presence of the Lord and just cried? Man, that's a refreshing thing. I'll tell you what, I I cry a lot. I'm sure you guys are aware of that. And as a result it I mean it just takes it gets comes out of you and you feel really good. You feel very healthy. You feel very strong and you know that God has it. He's taking care of it. So you have a trust that you can rely upon because you went to him and cried it out or you went to him and talked to him about it even just before teaching this. You know, I I'm dealing with a little scheduling issue here with with getting these teachings out and the desire of how much I want to teach you and how much I want to delve into the word of God. And so there I was just crying it out to the Lord, making the inside of me feel vulnerable and having to, you know, address that to the Lord. Yeah, I'm not strong and everything and I'm not holier than that. I make mistakes all the time, but I know who my God is and I choose to be in his presence. It's a choice. It's an action. You have to speak the word and you get into that presence with him. And let me just simply say that there are no describable words for it. But more happens in that moment than any good or a thousand good preachers can preach. You know, don't even, you know, I I know you're you're hearing this message. You're listening, but don't take my word for it. Go try it. Get into the presence of the Lord. Let his Holy Spirit manifest in you and change the way you are on the inside because that's what this is all about. Spending time in his presence. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. And that's another thing is that the Lord will give you counsel. Just even reading the word of God here, we're given counsel to come into his presence because we know we're going to get more out of that than we going and seeing a pastor or going and seeing a counselor or going and seeing someone. If you need to be prayed with with someone, go up and be prayed with them. But remember to come into his presence and say, "Lord, I need you. Lord, I I need you." whatever it may be. This is where now you get to come before him. And I love how a lot of the psalmists and David was saying, "Give ear to my word." Call, they're actually tugging on the Lord's ear. Come here. I need you to hear what I'm saying. That's being in the presence of the Lord. Some people think, "No, no, no. That's too holy. I I I'm not worthy to do that. Hey, let me let you in on a little secret." Jesus has redeemed you. And because you're redeemed, God calls you righteous. And he will let you tug on his ear. Hallelujah. You have his attention. Every time you come into his presence, Lord, doesn't matter what. In this case, the psalmist says, "Place your head to protect me, headed your hedge around me to protect me, and then I will trust in you." that's what his need is here in this circumstance. But imagine, Lord, look at my finances. I've got a problem. Or Lord, hey, this doctor is saying something that I disagree with. What can we do to get out of this because I don't want to follow that path. I choose you. And the moment you press in, the moment you're into his presence, the moment you speak your word, things change because that's who God is. He transforms the circumstance and the situation which is what we need. And look at this. So I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel. Talking about what the Lord is doing to him. So he's going to bless him. He says, "But my reigns," by the way that's kidneys or figuratively the mind. It's from the inside. My reigns also instruct me in the adversity seasons or the night seasons. My reigns, we want to do things our way. And when we're in that night season, that dark time, that pain wounded moment when we are in that situation, he is telling us he's going to bless the Lord no matter what. See, he can't sleep at night. Whatever the circumstances, it is bothering him. It is hurting him. And he's saying, "I'm going to bless the Lord. Even with my mind, which is telling me to worry about it, never mind. I'm going to choose to bless the Lord. I'm going to choose to enter his presence. I'm going to choose to call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and be saved, healed, delivered, preserved." We're going to see that here shortly. And notice he's making um active decisions in this. He's deciding to do this. Verse eight, I have set the Lord always before me. Always before me. There's moments where we're in full joy, but he's saying, "I love you, Lord. I bless you, Lord. I thank you, Lord." There's moments though that he's he's in a circumstance. Well, Lord, I'm going to call on you anyways because you're my inheritance and I bless your name and I call on your name and I know you are there and I will trust and confide in you. So, he says, "Always before me, because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved or wavered." Meaning, he's going to continue to do that. The devil can't touch him. If you're in a situation where you're dealing with circumstances, a lot of it might be because you're not spending time in the presence of the Lord. But when you get there, he can't even touch you because you're so busy saying, "Lord, I bless you. Lord, I love you. Lord, I give you glory. Lord, I know you got this situation taken care of." That is what we're talking about. This is the type of moment we should be in at all times. Ready for it because life will throw us curve balls. Curveballs. We know that. We've all experienced those things. But God, he intervenes because where is he? I have said the Lord always. He is at my right hand. He's right here holding on to my hand. Amen. I shall not be moved, wavered. And then verse nine, therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoice rejoicth. My flesh also shall rest in hope, a place of refuge because he knows. Give it a little bit more time and the circumstance is going to turn around. You see, prayer works. And when you pray, you speak the spoken word and you're in his presence because you blessing him. you're calling on him, everything turns around for the better. Look at verse 10. For thou will not leave my soul in hell. Hallelujah. Cuz see, the spirit that I just taught on this last week, the spirit that is in me is the same spirit that's in Christ. And that spirit rose Christ from the dead is going to raise me up from the dead as well. And the psalmist knew this. And he hadn't even met Jesus, but he knew who God is, the father. and who that's who he's acknowledging in his presence. He's coming into his presence. For thou wil not leave my soul in hell, neither wil thou suffer appoint thine holy one to see corruption or destruction. You see, God doesn't want to see us destroyed. He doesn't want to see us lose, but he's trying to teach us how to come to him first and how to be in his presence, how to call on his name, how to put him into the circumstance because unbelievers and believers alike all face the same circumstances. How do you face yours? Are you calling on the name of the Lord? Are you spending time in his presence so that you know to call on the name of the Lord? be encouraged as you spend more time in the presence of the Lord, the more you're going to be calling on him. And that's the way it ought to be. Amen. And then coming back to our opening scripture here, thou wil show me the path of life. Oh, see these are the results of pushing in, talking to him, acknowledging to your soul and acknowledging to the Lord that you will bless him and that I'm not going to move because you're at my right hand. Here he's saying, you're going to show me the path of life and in your presence is the fullness of joy. At thy right hand there are pleasures for e forever more. This is what we have gi been given and we ought to call him on it. And by the way, all of us should do that because we all have that right to it. Romans 10:13, for whosoever shall call. See, the psalmist spoke. Jesus spoke. And here Romans is telling us, call, speak, invoke, worship, decide, appeal upon the name of the Lord, and you'll be saved, delivered, protected, healed, preserved. Not just from eternal death and hell, but for eternal life and every situation you face. It's almost like being at a bank and and bank robbers rob uh walking in. Call upon the name of the Lord. He will save you out of that situation immediately. Immediately. Please understand this. This is He's there. He, you know, when Peter saw Jesus walking on the water, I talked about this last week. Peter, you know, said, "If you are the Lord, call me out to you." And and the Lord said, "Come out here." And he did until the moment he realized he he perceived all of a sudden, "I'm doing something I'm not supposed to be doing. I'm walking on water." And he starts to sink. And he says, "Jesus, save me." Call and puts his arm out. And Jesus immediately was right there and saved him. Jesus will save us immediately. You need to invoke him. Worship. Even before I talked to him about this, I was worshiping the Lord. As I was preparing for this, folding my laundry, putting away just worshiping the Lord and just telling him how holy he is because I didn't know what to teach on today. and and I just have to trust in the Lord of what he's going to do. And it is so wonderful because he's showing me and as I was standing there being in his presence, how wonderful. I mean, it it does so much to what's going on on the inside. And he's saving me, delivering me, healing me, preserving me. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I didn't go to the next scripture. Let's go to Psalm 103 and look at the blessings we have here. These are uh the blessings that this psalmist wrote. And he says in verse 10, "He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities." Very important to understand here. You're saved. Don't let the devil tell you otherwise. God doesn't deal with you based on your sin. And that's exactly what he's saying here. He's not rewarding us for that either. He says, "For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him." That is so very important that we understand his mercy. We can come into his presence every single time and be saved every single time. come out of our circumstance and situation every time we can call on his name, invoke his name, declare his name. That's the right we've been given. Go back. Let's go further back into Psalm 103. Let's read verses 2 through5. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forgot forget not all his benefits. You see, you've been redeemed and you ought to be walking in it, which means being in his presence, which is better than going to a movie, better than going out with friends. Better than this or that. You can go out with friends. There's nothing wrong with that. But make sure that you also put your time in into his presence. Amen. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities. He pardoned us. Who healed health men, all thy diseases. He's healed us. He's healed us from our sicknesses and diseases. Every time you spend time in the Lord, I've been teaching on this for years as well. You sin and the consequence of sin cannot stand in the presence of the Lord. So when you press into his presence, sin has to flee. Which means the consequence of sin has to flee. cancer, sickness, diseases, they're gone. They're healed because he pardoned our iniquities and he healed all of our diseases. Who redeemed us. He bought us back. He bought us life from destruction. He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. And he satisfies our mouth with good things so that our youth is renewed like the eagles. I'm 55 years old now. I could use some renewing of the youth like the eagles. I'm going to tell you this is what we ought to do as believers in Christ. Come into his presence. Get these benefits. And if you have to remind yourself, print, type up these scriptures, print them out, put them up on your wall. Every time you see them, you declare it. You speak it because you invoke the name of Jesus. You're reminding your soul. You're reminding your body. You're reminding your flesh. You're reminding your life that he comes first. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. We pray that we apply your word and that it does not leave our minds and our hearts that we live it and give you the glory, the honor, the praise, and the strength. Thank you, Father God, for be our being our savior, our redeemer, and our healer. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless. Have a great week. I'll see you in the next video. Bye-bye.
