Unlike the prophets before Him, Jesus openly commanded unclean spirits, disarmed principalities through His death on the cross, and triumphed over Satan’s kingdom. Through confession, faith, and obedience to the Word, believers live in the victory of Christ, secure under His dominion, and equipped to wage spiritual warfare with the finger of God. Inspired Teaching: Luke 11:20 “But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.” The prophetic ministry of the Old Testament prophets was indeed a powerful one: Through Moses God provided food and water for thousands of Israelites for decades in the wilderness, after parting the Red Sea. Joshua brought down the walls of Jericho with the simple blowing of the trumpets, and in like manner, through many of the prophets and throughout the centuries, God moved in awesome power to demonstrate to the nation of Israel and to the rest of the world that there is no God like Jehovah. But there was one element missing that God withheld from the prophets of old; authority over the underworld or the spiritual dimension, the original dominion that Adam lost over the spiritual realm when he failed to keep God’s Word. Mark 1:26-27 “And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, ‘What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.’” The defining and distinct difference between the prophets of the Old Testament and the New Testament prophets and saints was the authority given to us over the devil himself. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Notice that this authority of the finger of God is connected to us trampling under our feet. After recognizing this new dimension of authority in the ministry of Jesus over the spiritual realm, the Pharisees tried to nullify it by declaring the ridiculous idea that Jesus’ power over the demonic realm originated from Beelzebub or Satan himself. Jesus shot this idea down instantly. Luke 11:18 “If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub.” It is really hard for us to comprehend the tremendous shift of power that occurred when Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead. When Lucifer was created, he was the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty; he was in Eden the garden of God and clothed with an armor of every precious stone: Ezekiel 28:12-15. After God kicked him out of heaven and stripped him of his armor, Satan stole from Adam the first human, the dominion that God gave to Adam over the creatures of the sea and the fowls of the air and the cattle of the earth and the creeping things. All symbolic of the spiritual hierarchy that have rule over the earth. When Jesus died on the cross He stripped Satan naked and made a spectacle of him and all his minions. Colossians 2:13-15 “And you, being dead in your trespasses and the circumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him (Jesus), having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwritten of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having DISARMED principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it (the cross).” After Satan’s humiliating defeat on the cross, all that was left to him is the lie that he is the deceiver in chief, and it is of his nature. He is naked and without armor, the only vesture left to him is the cloak of deception. The kingdom of God—the church—which Jesus established right in front of the gates of hell, exists to preach and to practice the Gospel of the kingdom of God with the demonstration of the power of the finger of God to expose and to dispose of demonic deception. Luke 11:23 “He who is not with me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.” Unity is the key for the exercising of this authority of the finger of God. Satan is a predator, the law of predatory behavior dictates that in order to steal you have to separate and divide. The five fingers on the hand represent the church five-fold ministry: The apostolic, the prophetic, the evangelizing, the pastors and the teaching ministries, all have to be in agreement with the teaching of Jesus, if we are not in agreement with Jesus then we are against Him. The foundation of the authority given to the church is in the victory of Jesus over Satan on the cross; spiritual warfare reveals the manifestation of that power as the church pulls down demonic strongholds over cities, families and individuals. Luke 11:22 “But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils.” That is exactly what Jesus did to Satan on the cross, He overcame him and took away all his armor in which he trusted and then divided the spoils. That is what the churches should be doing today, sadly we are not. How many ministers begin their ministry in the church without a clue in how to drive a demon out of one of their members who is afflicted by the devil, let alone to challenge the principalities that wield power over the geographical areas assigned to their church. Luke 11:24-26 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes he finds it swept and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first.” There is a lot to learn from the above three verses about spiritual warfare. Scripture declares that there is no rest for the wicked. A demon without a human host to hide in is in continued torment, seeking rest and finding none. Demons will not stop trying to get a foothold inside a human host. There are ranks in the spiritual dimension and there is unity in their goal to find a place of rest. Interesting that Jesus tells us that demons see the physical bodies of their previous victims as their house. ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ Also, that those who have been delivered from demonic oppression have their house or life swept and put in order only to fall victim again to more and more powerful demonic strongholds. Matthew 12:39-42 “…An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here.” Jesus taught the above verses in Matthew right before the story about the unclean spirit finding no place of rest and getting higher ranking demons to help him. The truth is that there is no higher-ranking authority than the name of Jesus and that because of what He accomplished on the cross. His name is higher than Solomon’s Jonah’s and everybody else. ALL AUTHORITY is given to Jesus. The sign of Jonah and the finger of God all testify to the authority given to the church in the name of Jesus. Man made religion teaches how to sweep and clean the house. The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us how to come to the cross and die daily to self. Psalm 144:1 “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle—My lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me.” As long us our self-life is prostrated at the foot of the cross—dying to self and living for God—we are protected from the evil one, safe and secure in this hope: Psalm 8:6-8 “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen—even the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas.” The original dominion that God gave to Adam in the Garden has been restored to us through the Last Adam—Jesus—when He rose from the Garden tomb. For our God has given to Jesus a name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow; even those of the highest-ranking creatures in all of the universe, for there is no other name under heaven by which a human can be saved. Psalm 8:3 “When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained.” God’s handy work was demonstrated by Jesus while driving out unclean spirits with the finger of God and after dying for our sins on the cross Jesus completed His handy work by putting everything under our human feet. When Lucifer was created everything that comprised his entire personhood had a beginning. So that when iniquity was found in Lucifer all the wisdom, perfection and beauty that he had been clothed with was removed from him for it was not in his original nature, after he chose to be like God instead of being with God. When God created the physical body of Adam, He used clay to make the shape of the man, but nothing in the clay had, not even a hint of life in it. God had to provide the life for the man that He created, and that life was in the breath of God that went into Adam’s nostrils and became blood in him, for as Moses told us, the life is in the blood. All humans are made in the image of God and worthy of redemption because they carry within them a life that is eternal. The Scriptures teach that the phrase ‘The Finger of God’ refers to something so great and awesome in nature that only an all-powerful and all-knowing God could accomplish. Psalm 150:6 “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” In your breath is the eternal life that God has given to you and God wants it back, not for Himself for He is not in need of anything. He is a God who loves to add goodness and to multiply blessings to all His children, but first we need to receive Jesus as our Savior so that we will be sure to spend eternity with Him. The life is in the breath and the blood is activated by the words that we confess: Romans 10:9-11 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. By grounding in Scripture, the teaching aims to help Christians separate the voice of God from the voice of self and the accusations of the enemy, thereby walking in unity of spirit, soul, and body and remaining blameless at the coming of Christ. Synopsis: In How to Distinguish the Voices in My Head, Pastor Marcos Marrero teaches that God created humanity in His image with the ability to think, reason, and even converse within oneself, much like God spoke within the Trinity at creation. Because of this inner dialogue, believers must learn to identify the sources of the voices they hear in their minds. The first and most vital voice is the voice of God, embedded within the conscience of the born-again believer. Through sanctification and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, God instructs, convicts, and comforts His people, leading them in truth and righteousness. However, due to the fallen nature of man, the soul can be divided—what Scripture calls “double-minded”—where conflicting voices create instability and confusion. In such moments, the believer’s spirit must speak God’s Word in faith, as King David did, to align the soul with God’s promises. Pastor Marrero also highlights the voice of Satan, the accuser of the brethren, whose accusations and lies are directed toward the soul. These attacks often appear convincing because they appeal to human weakness, sickness, or failure, but the believer must counter them with the Word of God, prayer, and the testimony of faith. The antidote is the blood of Jesus and the confession of who we are in Christ: redeemed, victorious, righteous, and never abandoned. Ultimately, the teaching affirms that Jesus Christ came to restore the broken soul and heal the inner divisions caused by sin and the enemy’s deception. By holding fast to God’s Word, embracing the indwelling Spirit, and boldly approaching the throne of grace, believers can overcome the destructive voices in their heads and walk in the unity, peace, and assurance that God intends. Inspired Teaching: Genesis 1:26-27 “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…’ 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” God created us in His image, with the capacity to speak to ourselves, just like God spoke to Himself when He created us: Let Us make man in Our image. In this lesson we are going to try to sort out the different voices that we hear in our minds all the time, by learning what the Word of God has to say about these voices. The first and most important voice in our heads is the voice of God. His voice is embedded inside of our conscience in the spirit man, to teach us the difference between good and evil, love and hate, and of our desperate need for a living and forgiving Savior. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” I believe that all humans, because of our fallen nature, are born into this world with our spirit man separated from God; we are all conceived in sin and are born into this world spiritually dead. Sanctification starts with the born-again experience, when the Holy Spirit comes in and takes residence in the holy sanctum that God has reserved for Himself in the heart of every human spirit through the process of Justification. Satan is not allowed to enter the spiritual holy place in the human heart that is reserved for God’s Holy Spirit alone. 1 John 3:9 “Whoever has been born of God (born-again) does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin (justified by the blood of Jesus), because he has been born of God.” Ecclesiastes 12:7 “Then the dust (physical body) will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” What does a person who has not been born-again lose when they die in their sin? They lose their soul! The seat of human understanding, which is our self-life, and all is lost because of paying attention to the deception of those voices in our heads that are contrary to the Word of God. Remember that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” God wants our whole spirit, soul, and body to be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. With all these things in mind let us look at and try to understand how our minds work by knowing who the entities are behind the voices that we hear. When we are talking to ourselves inside our mind who is behind those two voices? According to James we can be double-minded or divided within ourselves. James 1:6-8 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” Double-minded literally means having a divided soul, or two souls contending with one another. That takes place when our voice or thoughts within us are not in agreement with themselves. What do we do in that situation? From the spirit-man let the Word of the Lord go forth. If I am a born-again believer, I can speak to myself, or to my divided soul with words that originate from my born-again spirit. As born-again believers we have the privilege to communicate with God through prayer. Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Here we see King David’s spirit speaking to his soul. In essence, he was speaking the Word of God to himself. Now we have an enemy that can also speak into our soul. He is called the accuser of the brethren, for he accuses us before the throne of God day and night. We have a choice as to whose words we are going to believe! Easier said than done right? We know that the enemy always couches his accusations according to the conditions that we are in. Sickness seems more real than the promises; we struggle with addictive behavior that does not want to go away…seems like we are out of our league in this spiritual battle. How do I pray? Psalm 86:11 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear (respect) Your name.” A united heart takes hold when the spirit-man tells the divided soul: You better get it together or you are going to miss out all the great and wonderful benefits that God has for us! Psalm 119:130 “The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Faith opens the door that allows the light of God to enter and dispel the darkness that brought the confusion in the first place. But you must be born-again of the Spirit of God in order to work. 1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man (soul) does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” Revelation 12:10-11 “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.’” The last and most dreaded voice comes from the devil, the accuser of all the believers who have been born again of the Spirit of the Living God. His voice is external and accusative. Everything that he says is a lie and lies are his native language. He is full of deceit, always jealous, full of bitterness, and seeking unsuspected prey. The antidote for this supreme spirit of evil is the Blood of the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. It is important for us to know that Jesus is also the Word of the Living God, so that when our born-again spirit man speaks the Word of God in faith, all the works of the enemy are destroyed in the here and now. Psalm 23:1-3 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me besides the still waters. HE RESTORES MY SOUL; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” The human soul is the seat of our natural understanding, and is recorded in the annals of human history, the many horrible things that Satan and his minions have done to pervert the minds of their many human victims. Even today, there are countless humans whose minds have been subjected to the terrors and horrors of hell itself. You may be asking yourself this question: is there hope for me and my soul? Hebrews 3:7 “Therefore as the Holy Spirit says: Today if you will hear His voice.” Jesus came to heal your broken soul, if you believe in Him, His Holy Spirit is eagerly waiting for you to say: Come Holy Spirit I need you, come Holy Spirit I pray, come in Your might and Your power, come in Your own special way! Hebrews 4:14-16 “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Here are some biblical words we need to tell ourselves when overwhelmed by satanic accusations: I am not worthless; I have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus who is the Lamb of God! I am not a failure; My job here on earth is to believe in the One that God sent. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God who paid for my redemption in full with His own blood! I am not a loser; For My God always leads me triumphantly in the battle for my soul that He has already won! I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, Hallelujah! His mercy endures forever! I am not lost; Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; and after all, mine enemy is only a shadow full of empty words! Unity is compared to the anointing oil poured upon Aaron the High Priest, symbolizing how the grace of Christ begins at the Head and flows downward to the rest of His body, the church. The psalm then likens unity to the refreshing dew of Hermon descending on Zion, symbolizing spiritual vitality and abundance. Pastor Marcos explains that while many believers possess eternal life through salvation, abundant life is unlocked when we dwell in unity. It is there—in the Spirit of unity—that God commands His blessing: life forevermore (Psalm 133:3). This unity not only breaks the yoke of oppression but also releases God’s provision, guidance, and abundant spiritual life (John 10:10; Isaiah 48:17). The teaching concludes that living in unity is both a command and a key to experiencing the fullness of God’s blessing, as His grace, love, and fellowship flow unhindered among His people. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” In unity we find the demonstration of the power of the Grace of Jesus in conjunction with the acceptance of the Love of God, all rolled into one in the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14 “The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Communion (fellowship) of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.” The grace of Jesus and the love of God flourish when we share them through communion or fellowship with one another. As my spiritual father, the Rev. Herb Ezell used to say: “Christian fellowship is just as important as Christian worship”. He understood that to love one another and to share with one another is in essence an act of Christian worship. God compares the act of brethren dwelling together in unity with the pouring of precious oil upon the head, and having that oil running down to the beard, even down to the edge of His High Priest’s garments. Psalm 133:2 “It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” The spiritual application of the anointing with oil is that it begins with the head. Jesus of course is the head—in this case it begins with the demonstration of the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because we are all humans and as we come in contact with one another on a regular basis God’s Grace is indispensible. While we were still sinners Christ died for us, and while we are still imperfect His grace stays with us who have been born again and are part of His church, the church of the firstborn. Hebrews 12:23 “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect.” We believers were made just or righteous because of the grace of God and the blood of Jesus, while our perfection is still a work in progress; we have the love of God to sustain us, but it is up to us represented by the beard and the garment to allow that anointing oil to flow through us and give us the grace to love and accept one another along with our imperfections. Psalm 133:3 “It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forever more.” John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Many of us have the life of Christ because we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, but sadly, many of us lack the abundant life that has been promised to us. At the end of Psalm 133 we are given the key that unlocks the secret to the abundant spiritual life that we desire: There the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forever more.” Where? It is the flowing of the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of oppression! And as we abide in this Spirit of unity, the blessings that God commanded are released upon His holy people, even those who abide in the power of His grace, live and are sustained by the demonstration of His love towards us and are willing to live in the fellowship of His Holy Spirit. Though they knew their history of deliverance from Egypt, victory under Joshua, and glory under David and Solomon, Judah foolishly believed that the mere presence of the temple would protect them, even as they continued in idolatry and sin. Jeremiah exposed this false confidence, declaring that trusting in lying words and compromising with sin would only bring God’s wrath. Just as Israel and Judah faced exile and destruction for their rebellion, so too will modern nations and churches that abandon God’s Word and embrace worldly philosophies face judgment. The warning is especially relevant for today, where secular humanism and moral relativism replace biblical truth, and many churches have grown lukewarm, deceived into believing that compromise and tradition ensure safety. Parallels are drawn between Jeremiah’s time and the end of the age: false prophets promising peace, people presuming safety because of their religious identity, and the corruption of truth through idolatrous traditions. Yet the faithful remnant—those like the “Philadelphia church” in Revelation—who keep God’s Word and uphold the name of Christ, will be preserved from the coming global tribulation. Ultimately, the message calls believers to vigilance: to test every teaching by Scripture, to refuse compromise, to cast off false traditions, and to listen to the Holy Spirit. Only then can the church avoid the tragic lament of Jeremiah’s day—“the harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved”—and instead stand ready for the Lord’s return. Inspired Teaching: Jeremiah 8:20 “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved!” Jeremiah had the hardest job of any of the old prophets; it fell upon him to tell the nation of Israel the bad news—their nation would soon be destroyed! Imagine telling the people today, what Jeremiah was commanded by God to tell the nation of Israel of his day. Jeremiah 8:17 “‘For behold, I will send serpents among you, vipers which cannot be charmed, and they shall bite you,’ says the Lord.” The glorious history of the nation of Israel was coming to a close. There was no other people in the entire history of the world upon which the Lord had bestowed so much honor and blessings. Everybody knew how God humbled mighty Pharaoh and forced him to let the children of Israel go, and after he changed his mind and pursued them, how God drowned his mighty army in the depths of the sea. The world of old also knew how the God of Israel brought the walls of Jericho down, and how He led His chosen children into the land that He had promised them for their inheritance. It was in the annals of the history of their world, how David and Solomon, under the mighty power of their God, had established a powerful nation from the seed of one man of faith—Abraham. And now it was all coming to an end, what happen to them? Jeremiah 7:3-4 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Do not trust in these lying words, saying, “The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord are these.”’” They were deceived by lying words! The Babylonians, who plundered the land of Judah, had a mighty army indeed, and many secular historians may say that Israel would have never had a change against them anyway. But according to God, had the children of Israel chosen to amend their ways, God would have caused them to stay in the land and dwell in it safely. But the false prophets of their day were telling lies to the people, We have the temple of the Lord in our midst, God will deliver us from our enemies like He always has. So that when Jeremiah came and told them the truth that their destruction was near, they totally rejected his message. Jeremiah 7:8-10 “Behold, you trust in lying words that cannot profit. Will you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know, and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by Me name, and say, ‘We are delivered to do all these abominations’?” There is a parallel here that applies to all the nations that have had to face their doom because of their sinfulness; due to pride, they refuse to believe that their mighty empire will be brought down because of sins that they have been getting away with—they think—for a long time. After the nation of Israel became divided, the northern kingdom retained the name Israel, while the southern half was called Judah. God judged the northern kingdom, allowed their nation to be destroyed and their people to be scattered to the nations, because of idolatry. You think that Judah, the remnant of the children of Israel that was left, would have learned and turned away from their wickedness after God warned them through His prophets—after seeing what happened to their brethren in the northern kingdom—but no, they had the temple and felt that they could get away with their disobedience and expected God to protect the house that was called by His name. Such was their foolishness, so they fell for the lies of their false prophets. Jeremiah 7:14-15 “Therefore I will do to the house which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to this place which I gave to you and your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh (God allowed the Israelites to be defeated and the ark was captured). And I will cast you out of My sight, as I have cast out all your brethren—the whole posterity of Ephraim.” Is amazing how they knew the history of how God had dealt with their forefathers; in their earlier and latter history God had made it clear to them that He would not allow them to continually provoke Him to anger without having to face eviction from their land. Jeremiah 7:19 “‘Do they provoke Me to anger?’ says the Lord. ‘Do they not provoke themselves, to the shame of their own faces.’” We are living under the same conditions today, but God will not be dealing with just one nation and one area of land at this time, He is coming back to deal with the entire earth and the nations that inhabit it. Revelation 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” There are many Scriptures that tell about the final days of the earth, before God’s judges the world and all the peoples for their idolatries. Psalm 97:3-5 “A fire goes before Him, and burns up His enemies round about. His lightnings light the world; the earth sees and trembles. The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.” It is abundantly clear that a majority of the nations of the earth have decided to scrap the Judeo-Christian principles upon which they were founded—not to mention the nations that never embraced it—and have accepted the new morality of everything goes except what the Bible has to say. We see this taking place at every level of society today, where the old foundations of morality are being done away with, in an open display of revolt and contempt against the Word of God. Psalm 2:1-3 “Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us break Their bonds in pieces and cast away Their cords from us.’” The fact that the nations of the world are doing exactly what God told us in His Word thousands of years ago, that they would do at the end of days, proves that we are the last generation before God’s Kingdom is established on the earth for the one thousand years reign of Christ. If we look at the parallels from the history that we have been studying, three things become prominent; first, false prophets and false teachers who distort and pervert the Word of God, will lead people into believing that God is not going to bring any distress against those who embrace the new world order of morality founded on secular humanism. Psalm 2:5 “Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress (bring tribulation to) them in His deep displeasure.” Secondly, the misconception that those who are part of the church, any church, will not have to endure the wrath of His displeasure. Revelation 3:15-16 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Just like the children of Israel that thought that they were safe since they were the guardians of the temple—and could live any manner of life that they chose—so will the members of the Laodiceans church at the end of the age, feel safe and secure in their compromising of the Word of God and Christ’s divinity, without fear of the coming judgments, that in their hearts they do not even believe are coming. The Philadelphia church keeps the Word and does not deny the name of Jesus or His divinity, so therefore, they are taken out of the earth before the hour of trial begins, not so for the Laodiceans, they are left behind. The third thing to look out for, has to do with the paralysis that un-dealt with idolatry brings upon the churches and the peoples that, are sincere with God, but in many cases are not even aware of the contamination that occurs when they participate in traditions that have been handed down to them, which are not based on biblical principles. Jeremiah 8:22 “Is there no balm in Gilead, is there no physician there? Why then is there no recovery for the health of the daughter of my people?” False demonic doctrines and traditions within a church, will always cause the lack of spiritual growth, as well as becoming a hindrance to the physical health of those who knowingly or unknowingly practice it. Revelation 2:20, 22 “Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things (participate in demonic doctrines) sacrificed to idols...Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their sins.” We, as believers, have the responsibility of studying the Scriptures, and it is up to us to make sure that what we are being taught through the church, evangelists, or through different ministries, is founded on sound biblical principles that bring life into our souls. If it is truth from the Word of God what we are hearing, the Spirit of God within us will recognize His own anointing upon what its being taught and will use it for our benefit and for our enrichment. If we see the church compromising the Word of God, we do not have to be part of their compromise. We decide by our actions which church God sees us as being part of. If we keep God’s Word and do not deny the deity of Jesus, Jesus will keep us from the hour of testing, no matter what denomination or church affiliation we are part of in the natural. It is also our responsibility to study the traditions that have been handed down to us, through the prism of the Word of God. If we find that they have a foundation in God’s Word, we should learn how to do them properly and in accordance with what the Scriptures teach us, so that we do not miss out on their benefits. However, if they have no biblical foundation, even though they may be well established within church tradition, chances are that they are not from God and will end up doing us more harm than good. Revelation 3:13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” It is by listening to the Holy Spirit that we can make sure that we are saved and that we will not be left behind. Inspired Teaching: John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” When Jesus uttered these words to His disciples it became immediately clear to them that Jesus was making a very special promise to them. When you promise to manifest yourself to someone, it means that you will reveal yourself to that person and not to others. Because if everyone can see you there is no need for you to reveal yourself since you are already visible to everybody. John 14:19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also.” It is within the context of Jesus leaving them and promising them that He would reveal Himself again after His departure, that this conversation is taking place. And it prompted this question by one of His disciples: John 14:22 “Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, ‘Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?’” It is obvious that the disciples wanted to make sure that after Jesus left them, that they would be able to know how and where they could see Him again. Now for those of us who never had the opportunity of meeting and serving Jesus before He went to the cross, these passages of Scripture are very important, for they detail how we can also experience the personal manifestation of Jesus after His resurrection from the dead. Jesus gives us a very important key in verse nineteen: Because I live, you will live also. As we read the previous chapter Jesus is clearly telling them that where He is going they cannot follow, because He is going to the cross to die for their sins. But then He says to them, because I will live, you will live also, meaning I will die for you so that you can live, and if you are willing to die for My cause, you too will live to see Me again. John 13:37-38 “Peter said to Him, ‘Lord, why can I not follow You now? I will lay down my life for Your sake.’ Jesus answered him, ‘Will you lay down your life for My sake? Most assuredly, I say to you, the rooster shall not crow till you have denied Me three times.’” Peter understood the part about dying for the Lord, but he failed to understand the part about living for Him at that time. How many Christians have given their lives for the sake of our Lord’s Gospel this past year alone? It's not easy to die willingly, but for most of those who have given their lives for the Lord, they just did not have the choice to continue living for Him, and they surely were not willing to deny Him, that is why they were killed. Now we know from Scripture that those who are martyred for the sake of their testimony of Jesus are immediately welcome into His glorious holy presence. Talk about manifestation, those who remain faithful to their confession of faith in the face of imminent death, cannot help but to see the fullness of Jesus’ glory revealed to them as Jesus joyfully receives them into the fullness of His joy, before their bodies even hit the ground. But for those of us who remain the lesson is very clear, if we want to see the manifestation of Jesus in our lives we need to die to ourselves. What it really comes down to is love. John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said to him, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’” I hear so many people say how much they love someone, but by their actions that sentiment is betrayed. Can persons that abandon their spousal or parental obligations for the sake of following their own self interests really say that they love the ones that they are leaving behind? This is what Jesus has to say about that: John 14:24 “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.” From God’s perspective true love can only be manifested by our commitment to carry out our obligations to His Word. We can say how much we love God all day long but by our actions we will be judged. Matthew 11:19 “The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children (the eventual manifestation of her good works).” And the consequences of our actions work both ways, if we are doing what is right and people falsely accuse us of doing wrong—like they did to Jesus—eventually those who do right will be proven right, and those who do wrong will be proven wrong. But those who do wrong will not experience the manifestation of Jesus in their lives, for those who do wrong, do so for selfish ambition and have not died to themselves. We are not talking about perfection here, for if only those who are perfect can expect Jesus to manifest Himself to them, then you can be sure that there will not be any personal manifestations any time soon. What did Jesus mean when He said: He who has My commandments and keeps them...If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word? Now let’s take a look at His words from the perspective of the imperfections of our human nature. When you show up to work everyday, can your boss really say that you are the perfect worker? Even in the remote possibility that you were the perfect worker, they would never say that about you, for if they did, they would have to give you a raise. Ha, Ha! This is what an employer is looking for in an ideal worker: that he/she shows up on time, every time, all the time. That he/she has a general knowledge of what they are expected to do, and a willingness to do it. And that they have the capacity to learn and to progress to a point where they get better and better at what they do. What are the ideal qualifications for a parent or a spouse? Does anybody really expect a husband or a wife or a parent to be perfect? I say not! But a husband is expected to be there for his wife, and the wife to be there for her husband. And how can a father or mother raise a child if they are absent? It is the same in our service to God! We do not get saved to continue in our own selfish way of life. Now that we are saved our responsibility is to the Word of God, to follow His commandments and to keep His Word. We are not perfect when we start, and we will not be perfect when we finish our Christian journey here on this earth. We will be judged by our faithfulness to His calling! Did we show up; in time, all the time? Did we show willingness to serve, and were we willing to change and learn new ways of living? If you work for a big corporation you may notice some apprehensiveness on the part of some of the workers when they know that the big boss is going to be around. That is how some Christians feel when the manifestation of God’s presence is all around them. If you believe that Jesus expects you to be perfect, it would be natural to feel uncomfortable when He manifests Himself to you. But what if He is just looking for you to be honest with Him? John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” Jesus does not really need perfect workers, does He? He does not even need any workers. What He is really looking for is for you and I to have a trusting relationship with Him. A relationship that is based in mutual love for one another instead of the dread of fear and failure. And there is no better place to have a relationship with Him than to share with Him in the things that He loves so much: He loves us! Humanity, He is for us, wants to be with us, and wants to be in us. He is such a gentlemen that He will not manifest Himself to us if it will make us feel uncomfortable. If we want His presence, then we must truly desire the manifestation of His presence. There may be some of you out there that feel that, perhaps you will never be comfortable enough around the manifestation of His presence. Maybe you were brought up to see our heavenly Father as a fearsome Judge instead of a loving Savior. But think about what is at stake here! John 15:1-4 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean (we need not fear our frailties) because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” After reading all these Scriptures I hope that you came to the same conclusion that I did, and that is that, intimacy with Him is not really an option, but the essence of life itself. That is if we truly want to be fruitful in our service to Him. The first step is getting down on your knees with a humbled and honest heart saying "Lord I don’t have much to offer you, but what little I have I give to you completely and irrevocably", then show up before His presence in the same manner, everyday, for the rest of your life. From Scripture, Pastor Marcos distinguishes between faith as the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), which grows internally as we nurture the measure of faith God has given us (Romans 12:3), and faith as the gift of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9), an external empowerment from God that provides an added dimension of strength in times of weakness. Unlike the Pharisees, they recognized the Spirit of Faith and acted on it, revealing that unbelief blinds us while faith perceives God’s presence and power. The message concludes by pointing to the altar as the place where the fruit of faith connects with the gift of faith. Salvation itself is received by faith, but for God’s glory to dwell in our lives, we must continually unite our internal faith with God’s external empowerment. Faith is also the substance of what we believe to be true or real, and the evidence of those things which are invisible, but still we know that they exist. Faith is awesome! From the biblical perspective faith is revealed as a product or fruit and also as a gift; if we may ask, what is the difference between the two? Galatians 5:22 “But the FRUIT of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, FAITH.” KJV 1 Corinthians 12:9 “To another FAITH by the same Spirit, to another GIFTS of healing by the same Spirit.” All of us have been giving a measure of faith and it is up to us to nurture and to grow—as you would fruit in a plant or a tree—the measure of faith that has been given to us as in seed form. Romans 12:3 “…As God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” The gift of faith is more like an external force, unlike the fruit of faith which is more like an internal force. Do the two of them combine and if they do how do they work together? Think of faith as a car battery which stores the power needed to run the car. When the battery runs down—for whatever reason—it struggles to start the engine, in which case you connect it to another energy source with jumping cables. The external energy aids the internal one when they combine. The gift of faith provides the extra boost needed when the fruit of our faith fails us. Mark 9:24 “Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’” This troubled father brought to the disciples of Jesus, his son who was in desperate need for deliverance from demonic torment; the disciples were unable to help the tormented boy. When the father of the boy saw Jesus and told Him about his situation, Jesus replied to him that all he needed was faith: Mark 9:23 “Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’” So the father had faith for he said to Jesus: I believe! But his faith was struggling and needed help, and Jesus did not hesitate to give it to him. Jesus helped him to overcome his unbelief. Jesus used this opportunity to teach His disciples about their need for more prayer and fasting to increase their faith when dealing with demonic strongholds. But our point is made that when our faith needs help, if we, with a sincere heart come to Jesus, with tears as if it were in desperate need, He will not fail to help us in our time of need, for He is faithful and He will not deny Himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13 “This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him. If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He will also deny us. If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” Notice that it said: If we endure, we shall also reign with Him or have power from Him. The mark of true faithfulness is endurance; we never give up regardless of the outcome. Another way of connecting with this external force called ‘The gift of faith’ is through spiritual discernment. There is a time and place for everything the Bible tells us. Luke 5:17 “Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And THE POWER OF THE LORD WAS PRESENT TO HEAL THEM.” Italics mine. What does it mean by: The power of the Lord was present to heal them? I believe that this is what it means: THE SPIRIT OF THE GIFT OF FAITH was present! There was an atmosphere conducive to merge the internal force of the fruit of faith with the external power of the gift of faith. Luke 5:18 “Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him.” Notice that the Pharisees and the teachers of the law did not perceive that the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Men whose names are not mentioned recognized that the power to heal was present, to such a degree, that when their way to Jesus was blocked by the crowds they climbed to the roof and lowered the paralyzed man down from the roof in front of Jesus. Wouldn’t you like to be friends with men of such faith like theirs? They saw the need of their friend and perceived that the power was present, so they persevered. What was it that blocked or hindered the Pharisees and the teachers of the law from perceiving that the Spirit of Faith was present? They did not believe that Jesus was their Promised Anointed One! Luke 5:21 “And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, ‘Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?’” What is salvation? To be forgiven by God from all our sins! Salvation is God’s personal Gift to all mankind. Salvation came as a human man. He came to His own and His own received Him not. But to those who believed in Him, to them gave He power, the promised of the Father; to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior you have been given the Gift of eternal life and abundant life. That internal faith that brought salvation to your soul is looking to connect with that external gift of faith that brings power to transform your life to be a glorious testimony for Jesus, the Savior of your soul. Matthew 23:19 “Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift or THE ALTAR THAT SANCTIFIES THE GIFT?” It is when we bring the measure of faith that God gave to us to God’s altar that our faith is sanctified, and we are saved. In the same way it is, when we bring the fruit of internal faith to God’s altar that we get connected to the Gift of Faith that brings the power to heal and restore. Psalm 85:9 “Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him, that glory may dwell in our land.” We receive our salvation through the measure of faith given to all of us since birth. As we receive Jesus as our Savior this measure of faith is sanctified on God’s altar. His salvation is near to those who fear Him. But for His glory to dwell in the land, or to be manifested through us, we need to connect to the gift of faith that comes from above. James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” Psalm 85:10-11 “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed. Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.” As we declare that Jesus is our Savior and our Lord the Spirit of truth springs out of us and meets with the God of mercy, God’s righteousness that looks down from heaven and our faith becomes one powerful force that cannot be stopped. Truth from within us meets mercy from above us. John 14:17 “The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be with you.” Psalm 86:11 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; UNITE MY HEART TO FEAR YOUR NAME.” Italics mine. Inspired Teaching: Ezra 6:3 “In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: ‘Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits.’” Within Bible context numbers have very defined meanings; from the Genesis creation narrative we find that the number six is a fundamental part of the creation, since it took God six days to complete the entire creation. We also find that the number six is an intricate part of time itself; as in sixty seconds in a minute and sixty minutes in an hour. Because of that, the number six is symbolic of both time and man, since man was created on the sixth day. We could say that the number six in the Bible refers to man’s time here on earth, and we see that represented on the foundation of the house of God at Jerusalem, the foundation or the root, the beginning of the tree of man, represented by the number sixty, and its height, the completion of how high man’s reach would attain, represented by the number sixty as well. Of course the cardinal points, and the points of the compass, that point man to the different directions into which the tree of man can grow is represented by the number three hundred and sixty, which is a simple multiplication of 60X6 = 360. Proverbs 20:24 “A man’s steps (his progression) are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?” The answer to the question posed by our verse of Scripture is this: Through our understanding of the progression of the numbers; after all, we live in a mathematically correct universe. As a bilingual person I have a personal understanding of how difficult it is to translate from one language to another, because similar words do not always carry the same emphasis or stay true to their original meaning when transliterated. Even for those who only operate in one language, you know how difficult it can be to express yourselves sometimes, when spoken words seem inadequate to fully vent your emotions. But not so with numbers, for numbers are the perfect language, you cannot mistranslate a mathematical equation. Two times two will always equal four no matter what language you are using. The Word of God is not only Perfect in Truth, the truth it portrays no matter what language it is translated into, but the Word of God is Truth Perfected in its mathematical structure as well. Whatever we may be lacking in our perception of the written language is more than made up by the mathematical structure built within God’s Word that our spirit intuitively understands. In other words, there is a mathematical rhythm that governs the creation, including mankind, that causes our souls to move along or dance to, if you will, to the heavenly symphony. Now if I use dance as an example, not everybody dancing on the dance floor necessarily knows how to dance, some are just moving to the beat as they interpret it with their own bodies, and even those who may be moving along pretty good at the rhythm of the music, who may qualify as good dancers, may not necessarily understand the mathematical components that are built within the music that they are dancing to, but nevertheless they intuitively flow with it and enjoy it. But to those who understand the mathematical structure of the creation, the width and the height of the reach of man, a perception relative to their position in the tree of life is given, which allows them to dance the dance of life in perfect synchronization to the beat of the universe. Simply put, they are the ones that march in time with the times. 1 Chronicles 12:32 “Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…” Isn’t this what life is really about? Timing: doing the things that need to be done at the proper time. But the key here is knowledge, to have an understanding of, or to be aware of the times in which we are living. Proverbs 24:3-4 “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Here we see the progression of the steps that are ordered for man’s edification enumerated. If the house typifies a person, and it does, wisdom then represents the blueprint for that person’s life. It is through the understanding of the blueprint for that person’s life that the house is then established in accordance with what the blueprint defines that house or person should be. Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” In other words, a person needs to understand what God’s plan for their life is, that is wisdom, if that person tries to establish his/her life outside of God’s plan for their lives, they labor in vain, that is foolishness. It is through the knowledge and implementation of this revelation of the wisdom of God, that the rooms of the human heart are filled with pleasant and precious things, which are the fruits of the Spirit of God. How do I know whether or not I am living a life that is built on the wisdom of God? Proverbs 24:5, 10 “A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength...If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Proverbs is only stating the obvious, if our faith is failing it is only because of our failure to understand the knowledge of God’s purpose for our lives, and our present position in the tree of life. Let us look at the numbers: God completed the creation in six days; Moses tells us in Psalm 90 that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord; we have about six thousand years of recorded human history within the biblical genealogy. We are fast approaching the closing of the church age which is the sixth dispensation in God’s chronology before we enter into the seventh dispensation of God’s rest. Jesus told us that the last generation would be the product of a world that was at war, where nations rose against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, and that the end of the age would come before that generation ended. Daniel told us that in the last generation knowledge would increase exponentially and that travel would be world wide. By this many signs we can conclude that our position in the tree of life is that of fruit that is ripen and ready to be harvested; so that our lives need to be built in accordance to that. Did you know that for us, the saints of the end times, we are a generation that will leave no history behind us. What history will record about the saints of the end is that Jesus came and redeemed them. If you read the book of the Acts of the Saints it does not end, it is left open so that a future entry can be made on behalf of the saints that left no legacy other than that of remaining watchful and faithful to the very end. John 21:1-2 “After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: Simon Peter, Thomas called the twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee (two), and two others of His disciples were together.” Both the names and the number of the disciples in this account, give us insight into how Jesus is going to show Himself when He returns at the end of times. In other words, this event happened to typify a future event that will occur in our present day end time. Peter represents the Rock or Truth found in the promises of the Word of God upon which God’s church was founded and which Jesus is coming to redeem. Thomas represents the once doubters who have been enlightened by the accuracy of Biblical prophecy concerning the truth of Jesus’ imminent return. Nathanael represents the gift of God, which is our eternal salvation that Jesus brings with Him. The two sons of Zebedee means the sons of thunder, for Jesus will appear like a bolt of lightning that flashes across the sky at His coming. And the two unnamed others are representative of the Two Witnesses who will return with Jesus and stay here on the earth after the rapture. And the total of seven disciples present at His return means that all those who are resurrected and rapture at that time enter into the Day of His Rest, the Sabbath, or seventh day. John 21:8 “But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with the fish.” The two hundred cubits symbolizes the two days or two thousand years that the church age has been dragging in the net with the fish, which is representative of the church age. John 21:11 “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.” Here we see the completion of the harvested tree of life. Out of the six thousand years of time come forth one hundred and forty four generations, twenty four hours in one day represents twenty four generations every thousand years. 24 X 6 = 144 The church age is represented by the number seven. And the Two Witnesses that oversee here on the earth, after the rapture, the punishment inflicted on those who did not believe, to bring them to repentance, both of the Jews and of the church that were left behind. 144 generations + 7 the church + 2 witnesses = 153 grand total redeemed. We see this pattern also inside the Holy Place in the tabernacle of Moses, where the Table of Showbread had twelve loaves of bread that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. In Revelation chapter seven we see twelve thousand out of every tribe sealed: 12 X 12 = 144 or one hundred and forty four thousand. Opposite of the Table of Showbread, inside the Holy Place was the Menorah, the seven candle sticks which represented the church, the body of Christ. And on each side of the Menorah, two olive trees representative of the Two Witnesses, for a total of one hundred and fifty three, which completes the redemption of all the children of Light, a number so vast, that no one could count, and it can only be represented within the width and height of the Tree of Life. Revelation 7:9 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” Make sure that you are one of those numbered , make sure that you are building your life in the expectation of Christ’s soon return. The second vision introduces four horns—powers that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem—representing demonic strongholds established through human rebellion. In response, God reveals four craftsmen, symbolizing the apostolic anointing, who are empowered to dismantle these horns and terrify the forces of darkness. The horns themselves are likened to the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19–21), categorized into four areas: perversion, division, false religion, and malfunction, all driven by selfish ambition. The teaching connects these visions to the unfolding of Revelation’s four horsemen—the white horse of deception, the red horse of war, the black horse of economic control, and the pale horse of death—arguing that we are living in these prophetic days. Just as God restored Israel after exile, believers today are called to return to the Lord, walk in the light of truth, and experience deliverance through Christ’s finished work. The apostolic foundation of the church, rooted in Christ the Chief Cornerstone, empowers believers to overcome darkness and stand ready for the rapture at the culmination of these apocalyptic events. Inspired Teaching: Zechariah 1:20 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.” In the second vision that God revealed to Zechariah we are given a unique insight into the realm of spiritual warfare from an Old Testament perspective. It is my belief that all six of Zechariah’s visions are intricately connected to the prophecy in the book of Revelation about the four horseman of the Apocalypse that God had appointed to be revealed to those of us who are alive during the end of this age. Zechariah 1:8 “I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.” In his first vision Zechariah sees horses of four different colors that the Lord sent to walk to and from throughout the earth. These different color horses are symbolic of the watchers that keep watch over the affairs of men and their relationship with God’s people here on the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” If we understand the underpinning of Zechariah’s first vision we will be able to make better sense, not only of Zechariah’s second vision as it pertains to spiritual warfare, but about the spiritual warfare that is going on right now, for we are presently living in the days of the unveiling of the four horseman of the book of Revelation. Zechariah 1:11 “So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, ‘We have walked to and from throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.’” The first thing that we need to recognize in order to make sense of the visions is that they revolved around the city of Jerusalem. For seventy years the Lord had removed the Jewish people from the land of Judah and from the city of Jerusalem, to give the land the Sabbath day of rest that they owed the land. When Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he instructed them that when they entered into the land that the Lord was giving them, that they were suppose to give the land a year of rest every seven years. No sowing and no reaping, they had to trust the Lord to provide for them a double harvest during the six years that would last them for the whole seventh year that they were not supposed to be tilling the land. They violated the law of the Sabbath rest for the land, for four hundred and ninety years consecutively, so that they owed the land seventy years of rest: 490 / 7 = 70 years. When the time for God’s judgment fell upon them, God used the nations of the earth to remove them from the land and to keep them out of the land for the seventy years that they owed. Zechariah 1:12 “Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, ‘O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?’” Zechariah, in his first vision is privy to an event that is taking place in the spiritual realm; he sees horses and asked what they mean. After he is told that they are the watchers that watch over the affairs of men, the Angel of the Lord speaks to God in front of Zechariah, reminding God that the seventy years are now over. God answers the Angel of the Lord with good and comforting words in verse thirteen. Then the reason is revealed as to why the Lord had given Zechariah a ringside seat, if you will, to what was going on in the spiritual realm, after he is told that he is to prophesy, within the context of all that he had witnessed, to the Jews that were in exile. Zechariah 1:14-15 “So the angel who spoke with me said to me, "proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped—but with evil intent.’” The Lord reveals that He is angry with the nations that He used to remove the Jews from Jerusalem and from the land of Judah, because of their evil intent while He was using them against His own people. As always the Lord’s judgments against the nations of the earth have to do with how they treated or mistreated His own people. Remember what God told Abraham when He entered into a covenant with him? I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you. Then Zechariah proceeded to proclaim to the Jews of his day that God was restoring them back into the land from where they had been exiled for seventy years, and that God would again choose Jerusalem as its capitol. Which leads us right into the second vision that deals with how the Lord removes the demonic strongholds that Satan placed over the nation of Israel, when he took advantage of them, while they were in exile for their disobedience to the commandments that God gave them through Moses. Zechariah 1:18 “Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.” Zechariah’s first vision began at night, which is symbolic of the spiritual darkness that was all around the nation of Israel at that time. In the second vision the Lord is revealing to Zechariah the source of the spiritual darkness that is all around him. Zechariah 1:19 “And I said to the angel who talked with me, ‘What are these?’ So he answered me, ‘These are the horns (powers) that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.’” When God’s hand of blessing is over a people, there is absolutely nothing that the devil can do against them, for our God is Almighty. The enemy knows that, as long as God’s protection is over His people, he is powerless against them, so he is always at work to temp those who belong to God into rebelling against God. Obedience to God always brings enlightenment, and disobedience to God always brings darkness. Zechariah 1:2-3 “The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” The Lord was very angry with the fathers because of their disobedience to the commandment of God in regards to their obligation to give the land a year of rest every seventh year. Now that their debt is paid in full, for they have been out of the land for seventy years, they can be restored back to their land if they return to the Lord first, and acknowledge that without God in their midst they are in darkness. Zechariah 1:20-21 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. And I said, ‘What are these coming to do?’ So he said, ‘These are the (four) horns (powers) that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.’” In warfare whoever controls the high ground has the advantage over their adversary; because of their disobedience to the Word of God Israel was put at a disadvantage where they could not lift up their heads and have a clear picture of their spiritual condition. Now that they are returning to God, the Lord sends them four craftsmen or carpenters to dismantle the demonic infrastructure that prevents them from regaining the upper hand, the lifting up of their heads. Notice the language that the angel uses that describes how these demonic hordes will be terrified by these four craftsmen before they are cast out. What are these four craftsmen symbolic of? 2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” The four craftsmen are symbolic of the apostolic anointing! The apostolic anointing is the force that God brings about to dismantle the four horns or powers that keep God’s children in darkness. What are the four horns symbolic of? Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (which is light, and those who practice those things are still in darkness).” The four horns are symbolic of the works of the flesh! PERVERSION: Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness and Lewdness. DIVISION: Hatred, Contentions, Envy and Jealousies. FALSE RELIGION: Idolatry, Sorcery, Dissensions and Heresies. MALFUNCTION: Outbursts of Wrath, Murder, Drunkenness and Revelries. At the center ofcourse is Selfish Ambition the soul motivator before we became born-again. I took the liberty of dividing them into four categories that revolve around the self motivated soul. The number seventeen is the seventh prime number. Zechariah’s first vision is recorded in chapter one, beginning in verse seven to verse seventeen. A clear double emphasis that the Holy Spirit reveals to us to show us how important to our present day Zechariah’s visions are. Also, all of us have sixteen great-great-grandparents in our family tree, and if you form a pyramid with self sitting on top of it, with two parents directly below, four grandparents below them, eight great-grandparents below them and sixteen great-great-grandparents as the foundation of the pyramid, it shows how our soul is affected by the iniquity of the fathers which is with whom the Lord was angry in Zechariah 1:2. 0 = 1 Self 0-0 = 2 Parents 0-0-0-0 = 4 Grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 8 Great-grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 16 Great-great-grandparents. Exodus 20:5-6 “You shall not bow down to them nor serve (worship) them (idols). For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me (idolatry is seen by God as hatred towards Him), but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” We are living in the age of grace, and the church has been established on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, with our Lord Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone. The time for our redemption is now, for our sin debt that we owed God has been fully paid for by our Savior on the cross. As the Lord spoke during Zechariah’s day, that if we return to Him He will return to us. We are living in the days right now when those that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. But remember also that with our salvation comes deliverance from the forces of darkness that kept us bound. It is the apostolic anointing that terrifies the devil, for through its revelation we become empowered. Remember the words of Jesus, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free! Yes, we are living in the days of the white horse, the antichrist, for there are many out there striving to deceive those of us who are the children of light. Yes, we are living in the days of the red horse, the days of war and terror as our Lord predicted. Yes there is a global economy being forged right now that is paving the way for a one world government, the black horse that will control all commerce and all of its financial transactions. The pale horse whose rider is death, followed closely by Hades, soon will be given power to bring war over one fourth of the earth. This is the conflict that will usher in the rapture of the church; let’s be ready for it. Zechariah 2:10/13 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! As living stones, each believer is part of God’s eternal building, being completed in preparation for Christ’s return. Inspired Teaching: 1 Corinthians 3:9 “For you are God’s fellow workers, you are God’s field, you are God’s building.” After I first got saved in June of 1976, the Lord gave me a couple of dreams that detailed what had happened to me when I first got saved, and the emphasis and direction of my future path in my Christian walk. I did not fully understand the meaning of the first dream back then, but as time passed, I now have a clear understanding of how that one dream was like a road map of my future that God laid out for me to follow. The second dream I had that year, that is still as vivid to me today as when I first had it, I thought it was explained back then, for right after I dreamed it my pastor preached on a Scripture that explained my dream. I’ve never told him about my dream, and I did not even know that there was a Bible verse that would explain to me what that second pivotal dream that I had that year meant had not my pastor preached about it. In the dream I was laying with my face sideways and paralleled to the ground, for that was my perspective. As I laid there my attention was drawn to a pair of hands that reached down to the ground and picked up a white stone. As I visually followed the trajectory of the hands that were carrying the white stone, I saw them place the white stone on a church building that was almost completed. The entire church building was made of individual white stones, the body of the building was completed except for the steeple area that lacked just a few stones. The hands kept coming down and picking up white stones from the ground and placing them on the church as I watched in amazement. Then I saw the hands come down and grab me, that was when I realized in my dream that I was one of the many white stones that the Lord was using to build His church building. You can imagine my surprise and total amazement when the next church service that I attended after that dream, my pastor preached on our next Scripture and on its symbolism. 1 Peter 2:5 “You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” When I told the dream and what my pastor had preached about to one of my spiritual mentors, the very first thing that he told me was that since in the dream the building was on the final stages of construction, what that meant was that the return of our Lord was very near. What my pastor preached on back then, which was something that became clear to me, was that every individual believer like a living stone, is placed within the spiritual building which is the church of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, at the moment of their salvation. And that is why that dream was given to me shortly after my salvation, to reveal to me what had happened in the spiritual realm when I first got saved. But it wasn’t just about my salvation that was revealed to me in that dream, as my mentor astutely observed, it was also about the progress concerning the completion of God’s building. In the other dream, which was like a road map for my Christian journey, it ended with me standing before an opened door that was set before me, as I stepped through that door I saw the masses that were waiting to be redeemed on the sea shores, as war raged over the sky above them. It is just now that I’ve come to realize the connection between the two dreams as I see them through the light of our next Scripture: Revelation 6:11 “Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” While most of the news media puts their focus on the things that are happening that are more meaningful to them, the fact that Christians are dying for their faith in ever increasing numbers all around the world, has widely gone unreported. I heard that North Korea just had a televised execution of about eighty Christians, their crimes were that they had Bibles or pieces of paper with Scriptures written on then. Christians in Syria and Egypt are both experiencing persecution on levels that they had never experienced before. In Iraq, a place that we, the US just liberated, Christians are fleeing the persecution of that nation against them in record numbers. The acceleration of martyrdom and persecution for Christians all around the world can only mean one thing; the completion of God’s building draws very near. Along with that I read a report that anti-Semitism is on the rise as well in Europe, and there is no doubt that as far as nations go, Israel stands alone right now, for it is clear that within present US foreign policy the security of Israel has become expendable. In case you did not notice, here is what the prophecy about the completion of the number of the martyr’s was: Both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren. It clearly implies that there are two different entities that are being persecuted because of the Word of God before the removal of the church takes place and the judgments of God begin. So, what is our role, as believers, in the midst of all that is going on right now? Here is what the apostle Peter connected the erection of the church building to: A holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. As living stones, we not only comprise the walls of the building, but are also those who minister within the building as well. We are a holy priesthood, and it is our place and duty to offer up spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let me ask you this: Where is your emphasis in the midst of all this chaos that is going on all around us today? I got to tell you that it is not easy to stay focus on spiritual principles and spiritual realities, especially as I become more aware of all the evil that is rapidly unfolding all around us right now. All the evil things that are going on all around us now are designed to push our buttons, if you will, so that our attention is diverted from what our true ministry is in all of this, so that we need to stay focus and in tune with what our ministry is, in spite of what is going on out there. 1 Peter 2:8 “...They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.” Notice how Peter says that those who were appointed to minister the Word became disobedient to the very Word they were appointed to administer. The Word says that we are to love, not hate, even those who are trying to destroy the very freedoms that we enjoy. If our enemies that hate us so much, can get us into hating them back, then we stumble and become disobedient to God’s Word, and do you not know that that is the very aim of our spiritual enemies? After Fidel Castro took over in Cuba, immediately he began to divide the nation by railing against the rich, and the landowners, and the businesspeople, dividing them by class, race, and social status. Soon after that he stoked the flames of hatred against the class of people that he targeted, and one by one he deposed them of all their worldly possessions until the government owned everything. How did he get away with it? He got them to hate one another to the point that they were willing to give up their own individual freedoms just to see the people they hated so much, punished by the government that they were empowering. At first they got to share in some of the goodies that the government had taken from those they hated, only to see themselves be targeted later by the very government they had empowered, but by the time they realized what monster they had created it was too late. That is exactly what is going on in the United States right now, and without a doubt it is also going on in many other nations as well. But the remedy is always the same, do not give into their enticements to hate, let us remain true to the Christian values that have been handed down to us from the apostles of our faith. We are the spiritual eyes of the nations, we are the spiritual ears of the people that make the nations, we are the heart of Christ in a perverse generation that seeks its own destruction, we stand on the solid foundation of the Word of God, and we cannot be moved! 1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” We are the living stones that have been hewn out of this last generation, used by Jesus to complete the building, which is the spiritual house of praise to Him, we are the church of God in this earth. 1 Peter 2:23-25 “Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.
