Synopsis: Speaking from Psalm 109:1–5, the message frames life as a spiritual battle waged in words: the enemy accuses and lies, while God’s Word is living, powerful, and creative. The sermon teaches that in the spiritual realm “words are the currency,” and that what gives divine authority to God’s promises is the shed blood of Jesus (Hebrews 12:24). Contrasting Abel’s accepted blood sacrifice with Cain’s works (Genesis 4), the preacher shows how innocent blood “speaks,” yet Christ’s blood speaks “better things,” silencing accusation and securing redemption. A vivid thought experiment reimagines Adam facing God by faith rather than hiding in shame, modeling how believers today should run to God’s Word after failure (1 John 1:9). Hebrews 4:12 is highlighted to show the Word’s energizing power to heal deep wounds and separate truth from lies. Personal testimonies (deliverance, marriage, parenting through difficult seasons) underscore that God is faithful and His Word proves true in real life. The message ends with a call to make Jesus not only Savior but Lord, corporate prayer for protection of the implanted Word, and an invitation for personal ministry. Inspired Teaching: great ministry. You know, 20,000 people in there and you know that uh the enemy has uh them in their target. So, this is um very important that we pray for ministries like that. Uh you're able to transform one life, you can change um a great part of the world. Amen. Uh let's begin with a word of prayer this morning. Hallelujah. Precious father in heaven, we thank you. This is the day that the Lord has made. The word says and it says also, "Let us rejoice and be glad in it." I thank you, heavenly father, that every single one of us here are part of this day that you created, Father God, and that you had a plan and a purpose for putting us on this day and here where we are today at Signal Hill Christian Center. I pray, Father God, that you will fulfill the purpose for which you created us this day. I pray that as we partake of your word, Father God, that your word will become alive in us and Father God, and that we'll bring forth, Father God, the praise and worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that he deserves because Bible says that it was for his pleasure that we were created. May we bring pleasure to you this morning, Father God, in all that we do. And everybody that agrees, let us say amen. Amen. Praise God. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. We're going to start with Psalm 109. And u I want to read um five verses. Psalm 109 verses 1-5. And the title of uh the message is the living word. I want to talk about the word of God, the living word of the Bible. But I want to put it in contrast. Sometimes it's hard for us to understand things unless we uh see it in contrast. But let me begin in Psalm 109 verse one. He says,"Do not keep silent, oh God of my praise, for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me. They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred and fought against me without a cause. In return for my love, they are my accusers. But I give myself to prayer. Thus they have rewarded me evil for good and hatred for my love. I think all of us can identify with that statement there at a time in our lives. You meant to do something good and boy you wish you would have never messed with it. Everything like just turned back in you. But we have to realize that uh in spirit in the spiritual realm and and by the way that's what we as Christians are uh uh the Bible says that um uh that in order for us to become Christians you have to experience something called the new birth or born again or born of the spirit. Once we become born again or born of the spirit speaking about being born of the Holy Spirit, we become spiritual creatures. The Bible says that we become kings and priests. A king is a person who has authority in the on the physical realm. A priest is somebody a mediator who has authority in the spiritual realm. We become now spiritual creatures with authority to rule over the earth. That that is what we become. We become agents like uh uh she said ambassadors on the scripture that she read. We become ambassadors. We're representatives of the kingdom of God here on earth. And we have been ordained and empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring about the kingdom of God upon the earth. So if you see evil going around, don't blame God. Blame us for failing to do the things that we need to do. We need to implement the words of God. Now in the spiritual realm the currency that it is used mostly is words. Did you know that? As a matter of fact when nothing when nothing had been made or created how did things come into being created? God said God said let there be light and light came into existence. Light was revealed. Light was manifested. God spoken every time. See, words cannot be uttered without breath coming out of one's mouth. That's what makes a sound. So when Jesus said in John, I think it's 6:33, the words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life. You see the words of God, when God speaks, there's life in his word. The word of God is alive. The word of God is powerful. The word of God brings things about. So in the spiritual realm, words are the currency that it is used. Once the word is spoken, that word goes out. I think it's Isaiah says uh God says, "My word goes forth and it accomplish the purpose for which I send it out." Like the rain goes up into the mountain, comes down the river, but eventually winds up back in the ocean. And this is what the word of God is. The word of God has a purpose. But we also have to realize that in the spiritual realm, there's an adversary. He's called Satan, the devil. One of his names is the accuser of the brethren. He's also called a slanderer. He's also called a liar. And when David is speaking here in in this psalm, David is speaking about words. Why? Because the battle that takes place in our battlefield, which is the spiritual realm, is a battle of words. The words of God versus the words of Satan. As a matter of fact, the very first words recorded of Satan in Genesis 3:1 is Satan saying to Adam and Eve, "Did God really say?" You see the very first act of Satan was to question the veracity of the word of God, the power of the word of God. So in reality, the whole battle that we're facing, it begins with words and words are are are the currency that is spoken in the spiritual realm. Now looking at those verses, look what it says. For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me. This is Satan. He Jesus said Satan does not come except to steal, to kill, and to destroy. In John 10:10, so the mouths of Satan has opened against us. The wicked has spoken against us. Said, "They have spoken against me with a lying tongue. They have also surrounded me with words of hatred and they fought or contended me without cause. So we see that Satan's weapon is one of accusing. As a matter of fact, you look at the book of Job and you will see a a a rare uh insight into what goes on in the spiritual realm and how it affects us human and the physical. Satan comes in before the presence of God and begin to accuse Job. And this is a something that we need to understand that as we battle whatever it is we're battling with, whether we we're battling on the flesh with our the for the salvation of our families or whether we're battling for our health or whether we're on a struggle for for dear life or the salvation of our children or spouse or or or for the ministry that God has given us. Whatever battle is taking place, we need to realize that the battle has its origin in the spiritual realm through words. Words that are spoken. Satan saying, "You are not worthy to do this. You're nothing but a loser. You're a sinner. You're this or that." And those words condemning and accusing full of hatred and venom are continuously being uttered by Satan against us. And then we need to understand that there is a righteous God, a righteous judge who has also spoken the word. Now to bring it into perspective as to what the sacrifice that Jesus made for us entails, I will go as far as to say that not only are words the currency that uh that is used in the spiritual realm, but I would say what backs up that currency is shed blood. What backs up that currency is shed blood. Just like the money, you know, uh um there was a time when all the gold in Fort Knox uh backed up the the dollar. The dollar the the paper money has no value. You know, that could be monopoly in Cuba where I'm from. That's what the money is is monopoly has no value. They don't have no economy. They don't have nothing. So what backs up the the currency in the natural is gold or an econ or an economic system in today's day. Well, these words are backed by shed blood because when God uh uh was speaking to Moses says the life is in the blood and without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. meaning that when when the blood that is in us when is shed the spirit leaves because the life which is the spirit is in the blood. Uh let me bring a couple of scriptures here so that I can bring this into focus. In Hebrews 12 24 speaking about how we the church of the firstborn how we have come. He said we have come to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. We need to understand uh uh uh that blood shed blood speaks and the battle that it is fought in the realm of the spirit through words. Your words better be backed up by something when you're doing spiritual battle when you're speaking. And blood is what does it? Now notice that it uses the blood of Abel. Why? Why does it use the blood of Abel as an example? Why? Because Abel was the very first murder victim. As a matter of fact, there were probably just four people in the world at that time. Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel. And then Abel, I mean, Cain fails to bring the proper sacrifice. Adam when he uh uh was pardoned by God and and and and God himself slaying an animal and clothed Adam and Eve with with with the height of these animals that were slain. He taught them how to atone for their sins. The fact that without the shedding of blood, there's no remission of sin. When Abel came in, he offered a blood sacrifice that spoke of the one day God will bring about his son who would shed his blood and pay in full the debt of sin, give value to the currency and pay the debt off. But Cain came in and he offer fruits h probably the very best grapes or or or or uh uh produce that he could bring which symbolizes the works of man. man cannot save himself. And so God said to him, you are angry and your face is cast down because your sacrifice has not been accepted. But if you offer the right sacrifice, won't you be accepted? Why don't you just offer the right sacrifice? And if you don't, if you refuse to obey the words that I'm speaking to you, sin is at the door and is crouching and it desires to have you. But you must master it. This is what God said to Cain. But Cain because he refused the word of God, the spirit of murder, which is what Satan is because Jesus called Satan a a a father of lies and a murderer from the very beginning. The spirit of Satan came into Cain and kill Abel. And this innocent blood was shed. And now this innocent blood from the ground cried out for vengeance. And ever since that time, all of the blood of all of the people that had been shed had been cried out for vengeance. You see that in Revelation, I believe chapter 6 and the opening of the fifth seal, I believe it is, where it says under the altar is sold the souls of those who have been murdered. And they cried out, "How long, Lord, righteous and just, before you judge them?" So you see, blood speaks. And in this case, Satan feeds on the shed blood of innocent people. This is what empowers his words. You know, the I if you could go back to to to to the uh and and listen in the spiritual realm uh uh to the voice of the blood, you would hear the blood of the martyr said, "Watch out. Watch out because Satan can't kill you." Look at how many Christians all the way from uh for 300 years from the beginning of of the church were murdered, burned alive and and all of the things that were done to them. So the blood speaks uh uh in the spiritual realm, but it says that in Jesus uh and I'll repeat it again in Hebrews 12:24. Jesus who is the mediator of the new covenant has the blood sprinkling that speaks better or more powerful things. So you see when we say in the name of Jesus we're not just tagging a name to it. We're speaking about the mediator of the new covenant who signed that covenant with his very own blood. Cuz the Bible says that he shed through the eternal spirit his blood. When Jesus was on the cross and his blood was being shed, his blood was taken by the eternal spirit into the holy place in in heaven, the holy of holies into the mercy seat and it was sprinkled there. And you see, and now the Bible says that you and I who have accepted Jesus Christ as savior and lord are sitted seated. We live that's our address. We live with the Lord Jesus Christ. And so when Satan comes in and accuses and say this lies against me whether they may have a base on truth or whatever that blood of sprinkler that was sprinkled on the mercies it speaks on my behalf. Hallelujah. And said his sins are covered his sins are forgiven. He has been redeemed. Hallelujah. And so therefore the accusing words of the enemy are being neutralized. We see we need to understand that the living word of God becomes the antidote for the venom of uh the poisonous venom that Satan is a snake who bites at our heels. Amen. Are we in agreement so far? Praise God. Hallelujah. In Revelation 138, and now I'm going to bring something here that will get us our minds thinking. In Revelation 13:8 says, "The book of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world." H I'm going to ask you this question and I want you to ponder it. If Adam and Eve had never sinned and all of their children never sinned and we live on a world that peace and and no sin will had ever enter into our world, we will be living today on the greatest place that that we could ever think of. If that would had happened, would Jesus have to die, right? He didn't have to die because there was no sin. But yet, the Bible says that Jesus was slain from the foundation of the world. What does that mean? What does it mean that Jesus shed his blood from the foundation of the world? What how does that work? You know what I believe that says? That says that God said, "I am going to create man in our image and in our likeness, we're going to give him freedom to choose. We're going to make him a free moral agent. And if he so chooses to disobey our word, God speaking to himself, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit." If man would choose to disobey God's word, which immediately would require this, he says, "We will provide the shed blood the foundation." See, imagine this. Here's this huge uh uh uh table and and this is way before anything's been created. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. They're sitting and as God as as they are one, they can see everything. Did you know that God eons ago before anything was created so you and so me? Did you know that his soul is here together? Did you know that God knew every sin that we ever committed as that would ever come in? He knew everything. Some of you might be here today thinking, "How can God ever forgive me?" If if if if if you would only know how filthy and how dirty and how many did you know that before God ever spoke a single grain of sand into existence, he looked at that scenario. He saw all of our sins. Everything is open and plain to he saw it all. And he said, "If that is the case, I will provide hallelujah the blood, the shed blood that will speak of greater things." You You see, basically what I'm trying to say is the word of God is more powerful than anything can Satan ever do or say. If God said it, it is it because God cannot lie. He's not man. So even if we would have been perfect and never sin, the fact that God said, "I will give up my son for you if it's needed," was good enough. was good enough. And you see what why why that is important is because we have promises now that has been given to us. Can God keep those promises? Oh, praise God. See in first Peter 1:20, Peter frames it this way. He indeed speaking about Jesus was fore orained before the foundation of the world but was manifest in this last times for you. Meaning God from the foundation of the world says if need be I will provide the blood that will speak of your redemption. And Peter says we needed it. This is why Jesus came in this age. We needed we needed to be redeemed. Is anybody here agrees that we need redemption, right? We need we need something to speak on our behalf that will shut out that accuser that keeps telling us all of the things and reminding us of all of the things all the time. Oh, glory to God. Hallelujah. This is how I wrote it when I was meditating on it. God said, "Let us make man in our image, and if he fails and becomes worthy of death, we will supply the shed blood needed to redeem him." So, in essence, the word of God, his promises spoken before the creation, they're alive. The promises of God are alive. You see, they're they're they're they're an entity that lives and moves that exists and that it meets whatever need is required at the time that it is required. It meets the needs of today. It met the needs of yesterday and it meets the needs of tomorrow. You see, I don't care whatever Satan has planned against you in your life and how many traps and and and things you may fall into, but there is a guarantee that the blood that Jesus shed speaks confirms the promises of God that it they're powerful enough to redeem us if we were to fall. Amen. That's that that is what it's saying. Praise God. Hallelujah. And uh this living word or alive word is wonderfully and powerfully enough to deliver us from the venom of Satan accusing words. This living word of God is the antidote against the power of the onslaught of death that is brought about by our slandering enemy. Now in our text in Psalm 109 where we started, I want to show you two verses. Why is David praying this prayer? verse 21 and 22. Psalm 109 verse 21 and 22. David says, "But you, oh God, the Lord, deal with me for your name's sake because your mercy is good. Deliver me." In other words, that blood that testify my behalf is good enough, powerful enough, deliver me. Why? Verse 22, for I am poor and needed, and my heart is wounded within me. Did you know that all of us here at some time or the other have been wounded by words? As a matter of fact, did you know that uh most of us probably ventures to say all of us to some extent are a reflection or we have been shaped or molded by words that were speaking to us whether good or bad. Ain't that the truth? See, words have the power to shape. How many know that having a mother and a father that are loving and are encouragement and encouragement and you know I remember my son when he kept saying oh but I mean oh that mom's doing what I think and this and that and the other I said uh uh son if they didn't hire you they missed on the best person on the world because I know you have it within you son you know you you got to be there for your children you got to be there to encourage them you got to be there to to bring them but there's also a an enemy who has an army army of people and a lot of times Christians themselves who will speak the wrong words. You know did you know that probably more people are hurt and wounded in church than in the world. I mean churches are prime place for you to get stabbed in the back or stab in the heart because the gossip and all the things that is in it. So we are basically shaped and molded by the way we view the world and by the way we view oursel through words that have wounded us. David is he's saying it in Psalm 109 he says I am poor and needy. I'm I'm lacking something. And that's because my heart has been wounded. Did you know that you can take a child that is stray a student at at whatever points of their development and have a tragic thing happen? Maybe a a grandma or grandpa that they love a lot die or a divorce in in in the home or something like that and it just basically destroys their lives sometimes to these things happen. And and the reason why it causes this is because that's part of it their foundation. And when the foundation is shaken or is broken or it's cracked, something falls. and and and and and so we need to understand that all of us need to connect with this living word, this word that is able to bring about the accusations of the enemy to silence them. Because you see, if we don't have that other voice speaking in our ears negative things, we wouldn't have the problem. You know, today they they portray like a a good angel and and a little devil and and one speaking to the other one. You know, they they want to portray that. But we need to understand that as Christians, we have access. We have a blood that speaks on our behalf. Hallelujah. There's a blood that was shed in Calvar's cross that has been taken by the Holy Spirit into the Holy of Holies and is seated there on the mercy seat where Jesus is sitted. And when Satan goes before God and begins to unload upon you and unloads all of this garbage and all this thing that that you have done and and he embellishes and he lies all these things and as he brings out this accusation seeking to destroy your moral fiber seeking to destroy your drive what makes you go there's a blood that speaks Jesus all the father does he looks to Jesus and Jesus says he or She is under my blood. Hallelujah. Then the blood speaks on our behalf. He said he is righteous. She is holy. She is able to do it. She's able to accomplish it. She's able to bring it about. Why? Because that the the word that is spoken is backed up by a God who said, "If you need to be set free, I will set you free. They that call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered." That is a promise of God that cannot fail. Amen. Oh, glory to God. Hallelujah. You see, this is not just the Bible. This is a Bible in that is pages and printed and stuff like that. But in there, there's a wealth of life. Hallelujah. That is waited to be waiting to be tapped into by somebody who's there to believe on the promises of God. We will be so much better. You know, you trust the world. And before you did, you know that they're putting a pharmacy on almost every corner. Now they're making it fast so you can drive through and get your drugs. You know, in another 20 years, everybody will be hooked up to some kind of a drug cuz can't handle can't handle what we see. Can't handle what we see here. Global warming, global freezing, nuclear war, AIDS, all of in the natural everything is a mess. But yet for a Christian, he can come into the peace of God. Hallelujah. He says, "This is the day that the Lord has made. God put me on this day." Hallelujah. And my God, I'm going to praise him and worship him and I'm going to rejoice that I'm part of this day. Hallelujah. Amen. That's that that's that's me taking a hold of something that's full of life. And guess what? That life is going to enter into me. And that life is going to manifest in me and through me. Hallelujah. and through my wife and through our children and through our granddaughter and through our friends and to our family. Why? Because whatever words you're feeding on, that is what you're going to produce. If you feed on the lies of the enemy, you don't bring anything forward. As a matter of fact, you go to uh Samuel chapter 1, and there was a woman, I think her name was Hannah, and she was married to to a guy, I don't know, Arcana might have been his name. This guy had two wives. And back in in those days, a wife was seen like a a fruitful vine. She was supposed to provide as many children for her husband. and and this other wife that that he had uh uh this man had man she was producing one child after the other one like watermelon seed she was feeding one after the other pardon and she couldn't bear no children she couldn't bear no children her husband loved her and her husband was being kind to her and giving everything that she could but but she just couldn't one day as they went up to the uh uh uh to to where the tabernacle was to worship. She wouldn't need she when she went over there. She got as close to to to the tabernacle as she could because she knew that's where the word of God was. That's the place where God dwell. He dwells in the holy place. So she got by the door and she was grieving spirit. She was crying. You know what she was saying? I am not fulfilling my purpose. I am not fulfilling my purpose. I am not able to bring forth what God created me for. God created me to bear him fruit. One of the psalms says the fruit of the womb is his reward. Every child that bursts the the womb and comes out belongs to God. Hallelujah. Because that what God created us for to him righteous offspring, right? And so she's crying and she's crying and weeping. And the high priest, Eli, says to her, "Woman, can't you get go get drunk someplace else? You know, do you have to come to the tent to the temple to get drunk? I mean, here's a whole camp. Everybody's having a big party. Find the tree someplace and get drunk there. Why do you have to do it by, you know, by the door of the temple?" And and and it's amazing because the Bible says that when the Holy Spirit fell upon the 120 that were in the upper room, they were acting drunk. This woman is in travail in the spiritual realm. See, she's a woman. She's not allowed. She's not a priest. She's not allowed into the place where God is. She gets as close as she can. And she begins to travail and said, "I got something within me that I can't bring out that the enemy is blocking out. and I need some words spoken on my behalf to bring it out. Right? And so as she's grieving and the high priest, who by the way is the highest man representative to God to the people who has the power to speak on her behalf, what does he call her? A drunker. And she says, "I am not drunk." And you know what she said? She says, if you read it in the original King James, I am not a daughter of Bile. I am not a daughter of wickedness. I am not worthless. That's what she was saying. I am not worthless. I had Satan telling me since I was born that I am worthless. I have this other woman that that is married to her husband telling her that she is worthless. And she's had the whole camp, everybody telling her that she's worthless. But she came before the presence of God and she said, "I am not worthless. I am a child of God. I am a Jewish woman. I belong to the promises of God." Hallelujah. And all I need is God to speak on my behalf. Oh, glory to God. The high priest, I can just see him back up like, "Wow, those words came out of her with power." Like when they came to get Jesus and Jesus said, "Here I am." And they all fell back. He goes back and said, "Wow, hey, hey, hey woman, may the God of Israel bless you with what you need." Hallelujah. And as soon as those words were spoken, see, they were spoken by the man who was in the position. He was the priest. He was the one that had power or access authority. He was mediator between God and man. And as soon as he spoke, that woman conceived. Nine months later, she gave son to a prophet of God. One of the greatest prophet of the Old Testament. So you see, you need to understand that within you, you may not see yourself as much and people around you may not see you as much and everybody may condemn you, but within you there's a Samuel waiting to come out. Within you, hallelujah, within you, there's something that God has placed in there and that is waiting to get forth. And all he needs is for a word to be spoken. We're always looking for for for for a man who isn't a a mediator to speak it. Well, guess who your mediator is? His name is Jesus. Hallelujah. And guess what? He's seated right now. He's face to face with God the Father. Okay? And when Satan goes and and and and brings your name before God to accuse you, that's an opportunity for Jesus to say, "Hey, Father, not only did I forgive her, but here's the plan that I got for her." Hallelujah. I got a Samuel. I got a Samson. I got a David. I got something inside that person and I'm going to speak it and I'm going to bring it out. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So you see the living word is not living to us until we connect with it and make it alive for us. You see if the Bible says the Lord is my healer. Amen. And I have cancer coming out of my ear. Who do I believe? Do I look in the mirror? Man, I'm in pain and I really have this thing. Or who do I believe? Is the Lord my healer or not? See, God has this little way of doing things. He always waits until the last second somehow. You see, with Abraham, it was bringing the knife all the way down to what was most precious to him. Just as he started to come down the end, you say, Abraham, Abraham, stop it. Now, I know that you're believing. In in I think Romans Paul says Abraham against hope believe that if he kill his own son that God can bring him back to life. You see if whatever it is that Satan has brought against you will kill you, you will not die. Jesus said he who believes in me will never die. I believe that one day I had the I was asleep and I woke up in the middle of the night like an elephant. I set on my chest. Man, I don't know if I was having a heart attack or you know, I couldn't breathe. It was just like then all of a sudden like my spirit stood up and I'm standing on our front door. We live there in Wimon and we have a a window on the door. I look and right through the window there's this 9 10t tall dude all with a cape all over him and the sickle of death. And I mean I'm seeing this thing and in the natural I'm like my god this is a grim ripper you know this thing is coming over. But immediately my spirit rose up in me that scripture that I just told you where say, "Hey, Jesus says I will never die if I believe in him." When God says for me, he's going to send a big white lemon with a bunch of angels and I'm going to be taken off to glory. Hallelujah. First class. So I told that dude at the door said, "Amen. You got the wrong door. Get out." Hallelujah. And immediately I woke up back in my van over there and I said, "Well, glory to God. There's power of the living word of God. Hallelujah. Woo. Oh, glory to God. Hallelujah. I apologize for getting so excited, but oh man, there's nothing that I love more than the word. Hallelujah. My car says Hebrews 10:23 on my license plate. He that promises faithful. I know the promises of God are true. I seen I'm 30 years my wife and I we celebrated 39 years of marriage. When we got married uh Friday was our uh 39th anniversary. When we got married they nobody would bet that we would last over a month. Not one single person in the family you could find. But even through those dark years, God was faithful. And one day we both got saved on a Wednesday night, June 2nd, 1976. Eight years later, we walked out to the front of Assembly of God Church. And right then and there, we gave our souls. And and for this, not only our 29 years, but the 31 years that we've been saved, I can stand and say to you with all of my heart that God is a faithful God. He may not be faithful in the way you think of it that you need a boat and a Cadillac and and and and all the things. I'm talking about faithful when it comes to life and death. Jesus says, "I come to give you life and to give you abundant life." Hallelujah. And I got that abundant life. I can sleep on a rock. I can sleep under the water. I can sleep anywhere. Hallelujah. I can I have peace regardless of what? See, we raised three teenagers when uh uh I noticed you had the picture of the three boys. Boy, talk about faith being tested when they become into the age. And I remember having to get up at 5:00 in the morning to go to work and being 3:00 in the morning and and Lisa, our daughter, who's the saintly saint that comes over here would drive up on the driveway 3:00 in the morning and I hear the door slam. Thank you, Lord. You brought her home. You're faithful. when I hear the door open, I hear going, you know, you do that with three kids, three teenagers, you know, as they go through those growing years. And every single time things look bad or look desperate, I could go to God and said, "I have a promise for you, God." Because you see, God spoke to us one day when they were like 11, 12, and 13. And God spoke to my heart and says, "You know what? Satan can steal from you, but he can't steal from me." And I said, "What do you mean by that, Lord?" He said, "Give me your children and Satan will never be able to sell them." So my wife and I actually had a dinner, had a communion dinner, and we offer our kids and their future up to God right then and there. And then from then on, we look at our kids as adopted. God gave it to us to to raise them. But in reality, he is responsible for he's responsible for their future. He's responsible for the outcome of their life. And every time a dark time would come, we could say, "God, you promise they're your children, and you have power, more power than Satan has." And you know what? When it looked like it was hopeless, all of the sudden things change. Ain't that true? All of us who've been in the Lord a while, that that God just just comes through, doesn't he? Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this on Friday, November 10th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Walking in Knowledge. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you that your word does not return void. We thank you that we have ears and eyes open to hear and see the living word of God. And we pray that our hearts and minds are open to receive and believe. Father God, help us stand strong in the knowledge of your word and and to walk with the spirit of discernment with your wisdom and your knowledge and your understanding to be a part of our lives. Father God, thank you Lord for blessing us and your favor upon us and enhancing our time alone with you in the secret place. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to be looking at Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou hast rejected knowledge. I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me, seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children. So, in the last handful of weeks, I've been teaching on deliverance and changing our way we pray and and things of that nature. Well, this goes right along with it. It's kind of the culmination of it. So, we're going to be focusing on Colossians 3 6-17 for the most part of this um teaching. But here, I want you to see something because this is why we have to walk in the knowledge of the word of God. And in order for you to have knowledge, you need to be going to the source. That's the living word of God. That's God himself in the present. You need to be entering into that. And you can't get that just from church. You see, pastors and ministers and leaders of groups of people have to minister to the whole. They're the shepherd for the whole. Well, for you to get your individualized uh understanding and teaching, you got to go straight to the Holy Spirit. And the only way to do that is when you schedule time to do that. I've been teaching on this now for a handful of years. All right? So, take a look again. I want you to see this now with the rest of the meanings. And a reminder, when you see the words in bold, that's the word in the scripture. Well, when you see the words in italicize, those are other words that could be placed in that bold word. So, in other words, Strong's dictionary is what I'm using and they're the ones that provide the other trans, you know, other words that can be translated from the original text. So, gives you a bigger picture and a fuller picture and the understanding of the scriptures. So, my people are destroyed. When you think of the word destroyed, you think they're just blown away by a bomb or something. Uh, but instead that word destroyed means dumb or silent. Let's let's examine that for a minute. The only way you would ever be dumb is because you're not reading the word of God and you're not getting the truth from it. Because God, the gift of the Holy Spirit is wisdom, knowledge, understanding. These are some of the gifts that the Holy Spirit gives us. You do not have that when you're in the world. So, it's going to seem foolish to you, but you can have that wisdom because you're seeking the word of God. Notice also it says the word silent there. When you're silent, you're not praying for people or you didn't vote um the way God tells you to vote, which is through, you know, you don't vote for someone who supports abortion. That's murder. So if you're voting for that person, you are doing it silently and you are complicit to it, which means you're bringing a curse upon yourself and you don't even know it or realize it or you're doing it on purpose thinking that God is going to give you justification for it. The reality is no. So you cannot be dumb. You cannot be silent. You need to be praying. You need to be praying boldly. You need to be praying effectively for change, which in order for you to do that, you need to have the living word of God in you, his knowledge. So now look at this. It says, "My people are dumb or silent for lack of." Look at this. That word knowledgeers means knowledge there means cunning, aware, wittingly. You need to be cunning. Go back to Joshua. Take a look at Joshua and the way he was handling uh some of the the enemy camps that he had to deal with. At one point, he told God, "Stop the sun from moving. Stop the the the moon from moving as well till we finish getting these people." God said, "Okay, God did what Joshua told him to do." I'm telling you, God appreciates boldness in prayer. You know, when I go and I pray and and I prayed for California and the weather to be restored there when I was living out there and we had like six weeks of a deluge of water coming down. Part of it was I went to the Lord and said, "Shut the mouths of those that are cursing what we're trying to bless. I went straight up to the throne room praying that saying it. Actually, just telling God that boldness. Got to have the confidence in the boldness." And you see, if you're spending time with the Lord, you know you can do that. That's awesome. So, he's very clearly saying, you're dumb. You're silent. You're not being cunning. You're not aware. You're not being wittingly. You have to be aware of the things that are going on. You should be watching the news. Don't put your head in the sand. Uh you can't do that. You have to be watching the news. You have to be paying attention. You have to pay attention to what your preacher's preaching. You have to pay attention to what our representatives are doing in the government. And you need to be praying for them for salvation, but at the same time that they're following the living word of God. That's your responsibility. And if you're aware, you can get real cunning about it. You know, one of the things I just taught was prayer. You can go to Psalm 149 and it really tells you what you have a right to do as a a believer in Christ, but you can bless and you can curse. And so I'm asking God to forgive and forgive and forgive and that's exactly what I'm doing. But at the same time, I'm saying, "Okay, Lord, now that they're forgiven, let's open up their ears and eyes." Because Jesus said, "If you open up the ears and eyes, they will hear and believe." But there are some who continue to choose to reject the Holy Spirit, to continue to blasphe the Holy Spirit. Oh, okay. If you're going to continue to do that, then Lord Lord, rebuke them. Michael the Archangel said, "Lord, rebuke you, Satan." Talking to Satan, when he uh Satan was stealing Moses' body, he could have fought for him, but instead he humbled himself. Says, "I'm going to let the Lord handle you." You see, you there you can be cunning and aware and bold in your praying for that. And look at the consequences when you're not walking in his knowledge. Because thou rejected you, you cast awareness away. You were disdain knowledge. I will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me. And see, we're supposed to be priests and priestesses unto God to God for the salvation and the mercy of all those around us and those that we are responsible for in prayer in the name of Jesus. Look what further happens. Seeing thou has forgotten, listen that word forgotten there is mislay or oblivious. You're oblivious to it. You haven't purposed to go find out the knowledge of the living word of God. You haven't done that. But because you're oblivious of the law of thy God, you know what the new law is that we follow? Love one another with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbors as you do yourself. Because that's the new commandment that Jesus gave us. And that word love is obligation, duty. I just taught on all of that. It's a different kind of love than benevolence or having an emotional attachment. Love is a duty and an obligation to serve the Lord even when you don't feel like it, even when you don't want to do it or even if you don't know what to say. It is putting yourself in that place and saying, "Holy Spirit, you're going to have to take over because I'm not feeling it today." And he will. He answers that kind of prayer. But seeing that you've forgotten the law, you're not following it, I will also forget thy children. Do you love your children? You better put God first in your life. That's just simple reality of it. There are so many children out there suffering and it's because the parents aren't spending their time with the Lord and not getting right with the Lord, not walking in the knowledge of God when they're supposed to. That is your responsibility as a believer in Christ. And then you should be reaping the harvest, too. Okay, we're going to focus here in Colossians 3. So, let's uh start in verse six here. for which things sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience. Okay, so here is now the children of disobedience which we just read from Hosea 4:6. Look what he says. He says wrath or the punishment of God comes on the children of disobedience. And that word disobedience is disbelief and unbelief. You know, if you go read Jeremiah and I think it's 38 or 39, he's talking uh they just pulled Jeremiah out of the mire in the pit and he meets with King Zedekiah and the king is saying in confidence, tell me what the Lord has said. And the, you know, he's telling them, hey, the Lord told you, you need to go to Babylon and you will live if you go to Babylon. If you don't, you got problems. Well, he didn't. And when Babylon invaded and he ran, they captured him. and they plucked his eyes out and they killed his children in front of him before they plucked his eyes out. He had a choice. He chose the wrong way and that's the consequence. And his children were were killed as a response uh uh to that. Do you love your children? Take up your responsibility and be a good parent and start spending time with God so your children can be saved and your children can live for Christ. Amen. And and when you don't believe and I want you to think about this for a minute, instead of saying, "Lord, that's just that that's not real. I just cannot believe it." Instead, I want you to say, "Lord, you know what? I don't understand what that is, but I'm going to trust in you, and I'm asking you to help me understand that so I can believe." You see, now you're putting that unbelief or disbelief. You know, did God hold the sun and the moon for Joshua? The Bible says he did. How many of you truly believe that or don't? How many truly believe Zedekiah did reject the word of God through Jeremiah and got what he deserved? Some of you are saying, "Well, that's cruel. What kind of a God is this?" Hey, I'm telling you, he's the righteous, justice God who created you and me. He is the creator. You better have a lot of respect and humility for him in the name of Jesus, right? But these are consequences. And by the way, these are consequences that you cause because you chose to disbelieve. This is why we have to walk in knowledge. This is why we obey and pray through obedience. I just taught on that. This is why we have to go and ask the gifts of the Holy Spirit to be upon our minds and our hearts in the name of Jesus. Amen. Verse seven. In the which ye also walked followed some time when you lived in them. See, we used to be like King Zedekiah. We used to be like the enemies running from Joshua. Not any longer. I'm a mighty warrior of God and intercessory prayer behind the scenes. You may not even know it. You don't even know I'm praying for you, but I am. And I'm being very cunning and aware about my prayer, too. This is a job and a responsibility that you can do too if you choose to do it. Amen. Verse 58 in Matthew 13:58. And he did not me many mighty works there because of their unbelief. See, unbelief affects your entire atmosphere around you. You see, when you don't believe in something, God's miracles can't prevail. Look at this. He says there were not many works there. There were not many mighty works there. Then mighty works by the way is the force or the miraculous powers the whole you know the healings and and if you read the gospels you will find that Jesus was healing a lot of pe people. But in this particular situation he wasn't because they didn't believe. In fact I think when he um uh delivered the guy from the demon of legion is when he went and started telling everyone look what God has done for me and then they believed. So he that had that's what the situation is. You can go read that and do a little extra homework. But your unbelief is affecting your surroundings. If you're wondering why you're not getting answers to prayer, and I just taught on this a few weeks ago, is because you're sending mixed messages to God. You don't believe the miracle could happen. But you go up and get prayed thinking, "Okay, it's going to happen." But you're not believing it. You're not saying, "God, I'm having trouble here with this, but I'm going to go do it anyways." because you want to be obedient, but you're having trouble with it. And God has to work in here as well as in here in order for you to walk in godliness and righteousness and to have faith because you you can be healed. You can be delivered. Prayer can be answered. And prayer does work. I promise you that. I've seen it work so much in my life. I've seen it work in other people's lives. Prayer works. It transforms a person because we're allowing the Holy Spirit in to move in that person's heart and mind. It's all the battle's done behind the scenes. This is why we're called intercessory prayers. We're interceding on your behalf. Verse 8 in Colossians 3. We're back at Colossians 3 now. But now ye also put off all these anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Everything that we do and everything that we're in has a consequence of the result of what the words we spoke. If you think you're going to win a million dollars because you want b went and bought one lottery ticket and you're like, you know what, I'm believing that and and you know what? It can happen. You you can definitely win that million dollars because you walked in with with belief. It's like the only ticket you ever buy, you went in and you just bought it and said, "Lord, I'm giving this to you and it could happen now. For someone like me, I'd be like, "Uh, no." And see, I don't believe it. You know, the Bible tells us we need to work for our food. We're not going to just be handed a million dollars. But that's my belief. Your belief can be totally different. He says, "If you believe enough to move this mountain out of the way, the mountain will move." Well, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't because it's my level of belief. It's what I've learned. I have to unlearn things that I learned growing up. It was so easy to call the doctor's office, make an appointment, go in and get the little pill that will take care of the symptom. What I found out though, and I did learn this, is I want the root taken care of. And in order to have the root symptoms, the root of the problem that's causing the symptoms to be taken care of, I had to go to God. It's like taking my Rolls-Royce to a Jify Lube. Why do I want to go to the hospital or a doctor's office to take care of something when I'm a Rolls-Royce? I should be taking it back to my creator and let him find the problem and fix it. And nine out of 10en times it has to do with unbelief and it has to do with the hardness of the heart and it has to do with my spirit. Has nothing to do with the physical because the physical manifests what's in the spiritual. Been teaching on that too. Binding and loosing. I just taught that. We got a lot of teachings on that on the House of Faith Ministries website as well. You can go check it out. But he's telling us in our mouth to put off these things. There's anger, which is violent passion. There's wrath or fierceness, indignation. You know what? When you you're right. Oh, that person was wrong and they should apologize to you and you're not going to give. Well, that is fierceness and indign indignation. Guess what? You got to get it out of you. You got to let it go. Yeah, you're right. But why don't you forgive them and and dissolve the whole thing? And that way both of you are saved. Just cuz you're And by the way, just cuz you're right doesn't mean anything in the long term of things. You're still going to either end up in heaven or end up in hell, depending on the circumstance and situation of what you're at, whether you got saved or not. But if you're a believer and you're walking in that there there physical consequences that are going to manifest out of your body. Sores, cancer, pain, ache, suffering. You don't want that. It ain't worth it. I promise you that. I don't care how right you are. It ain't worth it. Let it go. Just let it go. Make your life a whole lot better. And he's telling us to cast that out. Uh malice. Well, that's just simple badness. You know how many people walk across uh like a train platform? I see this in the New York uh news often. There's somebody walking around push somebody in front of a train. You can't do that. They just did it. Or push someone out in front of a car, push someone off a bridge. Uh there was a video u and this went to court. This friend pushed her friend off the edge of a cliff so she can finally jump into the water below. and it was like 60 ft. The friend survived with several broken bones, but she ended up going to jail for it was a short amount of time, too. I thought, man, our justice, we need to pray for our justice system. By the way, I'm just stepping into these prayers. Just because you're not seeing the results yet, that doesn't mean it's not going to happen. And if we get more people that are praying like what I'm praying or praying the way the Holy Spirit teaches you how to pray, then we're going to see the power of God move. Amen. But we need to put off badness. We have to stop blaspheming or vilifying something else. We have to take responsibilities for our issues. And then we have to stop filthy communication. That is vile conversation. Cursing someone, man, so and so just needs to go to hell. Yeah, people say that kind of stuff. You cannot say that. You have to get it out of your mouth. So, we're trying to teach you here to walk in knowledge. This is part of it. It means you need to have the gift of the Holy Spirit of self-control over your mouth, over your behavior, over your attitude. And we need more self-control in the world. Amen. Simple as that. So, he's teaching us how to do this in Colossians 3. Now, we're in verse 9. Lie not to one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds. Okay, look at this. Lie not to utter untruth. Don't lie to people. Don't lie to anyone. Don't lie. God hates lying, by the way. He hates it profusely. He hates it. He doesn't like it at all. Just just don't lie. Simple as that. And he says, uh, seeing that ye have put off. See, now he's talking about what you've done. You have de dvested wholly oneself. You desoiled yourself. You had let go of all of those things. Anger because you're forgiving. When you're forgiving and you have the attitude forgive is awesome. Take a look at what Hamas has done. I I can't say the atrocities here, but and I don't want to say the atrocities that they've done, but they've done some vile things. I mean, horrific to the people of Israel that they went in and invaded there. Ask yourself, can you forgive them of that? Can you forgive someone who raped you if you're a a victim of rape? Can you forgive the person who got you hooked on drugs? If you can do that, God can work with you because now he's realizing and you're realizing that you're trying to change your inside man and you've done that. Which means don't go back to badness or lying and letting your mouth control you. No. Now use it for good. He says, and look at these are practiced. See, he says the old man with his deeds practice. You've always practiced these things in the past because that's who you were. You would say these fleeting thoughts that you shouldn't have. Well, now it's time to practice the new the new stuff, the living word of God, scripture, apply scripture, and see you can do that if you know what the scripture is because you've been reading it in this secret place with the Lord. You have to do it and you got to practice it. And sometimes you have to focus on trying to memorize the scripture or write it down so that it sticks with you. Whatever you got to do, you know you and you know how you would remember it. Put a a little rhyme in there or put a little tune with it. Something to help you remember it. But you can remember the living word of God. Amen. Verse 10. And have put on a new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. All right. This is what's so powerful. This is why I called this message walking in knowledge because I want you to understand something here. He says you put on the new man and it is renovated. You have been renovated by what? In knowledge after the likeness of him, God that created me or you. This is what I'm talking about. You find the knowledge and you you you find I don't want my kids to suffer. I want them to be blessed. I don't want them to be cursed. I want to do better for myself because I love the Lord and I love what he does. He is such a good person. So, I do my best to be obedient and to go find the knowledge of the living word of God so that I can walk in it every day in my prayer life, in my Bible study life, in teaching the word of God, in sharing testimony to people around me. That is how God moves. So, I need to make certain my mouth is renovated. My body is renovated in the name of Jesus Christ, the living God. This is how you do that. So, and you put on the image of God because you're made in his image. And now you've been renovated back into his image. That's awesome. Look at this. And then verse 11. where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, barbarian, githian, bond nor free, but Christ is all and in all. So when let's talk about that forgiveness of of um Hamas and these the acts that they did that were horrific. If you can forgive them and let that go, you have a self-control upon you and you should be following God. You are now in his likeness. Do you want to know why? Because he loves that person, a murderer, a killer. Uh he loves anyone just as much as he loves me. You mean God loved Hitler, too? Yes, he did. He didn't love the deeds. He just he loved the man and he hoped he would get saved. And you know what? If Hitler called out to God and asked Jesus to save him before he offed himself, he might be in heaven. You never know. This is why we can't ponder these things. We have to look at ourselves and realize that if God loves me, and it's not because of my actions, by the way. He simply loves me because he can love a terrorist just as much as he loves me. If God can love me and he loves them, then we need to love them, too. This is why we need to practice forgiveness and praying in the spirit of forgiveness and letting go and casting away because it's not you can be as good as you want. It will do you no good. It is not by your might. It is not by your will. But it is by God's spirit in the name of Jesus. Amen. Oh, hallelujah. This is a good message. Verse 12. Put on therefore as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, knowledge or excuse me, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering. So now he's giving us another list of things that we can follow. So put off all that anger, fierce, wrath, what have you. And look at now he says, "Put this on. You're the favorite chosen of God." You see, now God, he God loves a terrorist as much as he loves me. But my actions say God I I'm his favorite because I'm chosen by him. That terrorist is not his favorite. Anyone doing evil deeds is not God's favorite. He's going to hope and try to get you saved, but you're not his favorite if you're following badness or evilness. So this is where we come in now. Putting on the righteousness of God, putting on these things that Paul is listening for us, listing for us. And when we go walking in that, we have the favor of the Lord upon us. Oh, hallelujah. And that's what we want. Oh, you guys got to get that. You want the favor of the Lord upon your life. Not for the goodies, just because you can have a beautiful relationship with your creator. He is awesome. He created us. He allowed me to be born and live today and to choose him. How awesome is that? Oh, we got to get that. We got to get that. So, we got to put on. Look at this. The bowels inward affection. You see, you got to have that affection on the inside. This is why even if you don't feel like it, you do the act of obedience and you speak the word. I'm going to forgive those terrorists, Lord. I don't want to. And I'm telling you straight up, I don't want to, but I'm asking you to help me change my heart. And I wept the other day when I was in prayer for Hamas because these people have no idea what they're doing. Or if they do, they they've chosen the wrong side. Oh, we got to pray for these people. You see, God changes your inside to begin to pray and minister to those around us that are walking in anger and hatred, bitterness, especially, let's say it's one of your friends and they're talking about so- and so, you know what, try to change the subject. Put on there, you know, hey, how about um how about God and what he's doing? I I see that he's moving over here at this church or this university. I see revival happening over here. Why don't we go to that? And they might look at you and they may reject you at that point, but that's on them. But behind the scenes, if you were praying for them in advance, you might get through them. You might reap the harvest there, but you got to be ready for it. This is what we're talking about. getting the knowledge of God, walking in the spirit of discernment, in this boldness, in this confidence, and knowing what to say, when to say, how to say it, and have pity on others, kindness, you know, kindness is just moral excellence, humbleness of mind. You're need you need to be modest. I mean, I got a great relationship with the Lord, but I'm not going to go and and tout that in front of you. I'm not here to do that, okay? I'm here to show you how much I love you and how much I love God and that we can all have God in our lives. Amen. Amen. Meekness, which is gentleness, longsuffering, that's forbearance and fortitude. These are the things we need to have. We have to be persistent. You know, I think it was yesterday uh I uh yeah, I think it was yesterday. I um went to the Lord and I said, "You know what, Lord? I'm going to keep praying the same thing over and over again like that lady did to the judge in um in the Gospels because you taught us how to be persistent. And I'm going to nag. I nag for salvation. I nag for uh revelation, revival, repentance. I'm nagging for it all Lord in the name of Jesus. This is why this is how you become cunning and aware of how to pray because you start applying the scriptures and you're you're walking in the steps that God has showed us how to walk in through his word. Why? Because you purposed in your heart to go live it. Look at it, read it, study it, and get it deep down inside of you. That's what we need. Hallelujah. Verse 13, forbearing. Hold oneself up against bear with endurance suffering. That's what that whole forbearing means is to hold oneself up against whatever it is that you're facing. To bear with endurance that you bear it, you suffer it. You're suffering one another and forgiving, pardoning, rescuing one another if any man has a quarrel or a blame against any. Even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye forgive them. They have a complaint against you. They blame you for something. That's the accuser, by the way. That's the devil. You see, a lot of people like to do the devil's job for him. And I'm going to tell you, stop. Looks better on him than it does on you. God loves you so much that he wants to save you. So, stop blaming. And see, if we're in the behind the scenes, we're praying for these individuals. We're praying that they don't blame one another, that they don't accuse one another, but we're praying and asking for mercy and forgiveness and humbleness upon them, and that they get the knowledge of the word of God so they can walk in obedience in the word. And by the way, if they see you doing it, it's an awesome testimony because you know I there's a gal I used to work with and uh she believes in Allah. She's a Muslim or Islam. And she saw me in my relationship with the Lord, reading my Bible and praying every day for at lunch on my lunch break for the food and whatever. She got actually closer to God it through Allah just because of that. People watch you and see you. And I'm not, you know, I don't promote Islam because, you know, Jesus is the living word of God. But she at least saw it and responded to it. And that to me is amazing. Now I pray and I'm praying every day that she finds Jesus the son of God. And I'm hoping for it, too. And I believe that it's going to happen because I know that she was a very religious person because she wanted to be. She She recognizes the power that's behind the scenes in prayer and having a relationship with God. She recognized that. She knows but this is what you have to do. So you got to forgive and then above all these things put on charity and that is affection benevolence which is the bond. It's a uniting principle of perfew awesome. This is how we become complete in him. And when we become complete because we're walking in knowledge, we become cunning, aware Christians. And we are individuals who give God the glory, honor, praise, and strength. And we are the ones behind the scene interceding for everything. Every church service, every Bible study, every person in our neighborhood, every person in the government, every person in Israel and and Jerusalem, we're praying the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus. Jesus, you're over this person who has cancer. They will not have cancer anymore. We're breaking that cancer. We're breaking the curses. I atone for them. I am being the priest or the priestess to them, Father God, in the name of Jesus. This is walking in knowledge with God. This is what we need to be doing in the name of Jesus. Amen. Verse 15. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts to the which also ye are called in one body. And be ye thankful. Let's let's delve into this because see this is now the attitude that we should be having behind the scenes. Peace and where does peace come from God. It's a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Love, joy, peace. That's the fruit of the spirit. So peace comes from the Holy Spirit. And that word peace by the way means prosperity, quietness, and rest. You want to be prosperous, prosperous in your spirit, in reaping the harvest. Yes. Prosperous in your finances. Abraham was rich. King David and Solomon were rich. These are people that were well off in the name of Jesus and they served the Lord still. So don't think that you can't be blessed. And I don't want you to limit yourself and put yourself in a box or to put God in a box about that. You have the right to believe in prosperity. The issue is is you got to make sure that God fixes your heart so that it doesn't own you but that you own it. Amen. You see, you got to get that right. And then of God rule arbitrate. So we and let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Meaning let God arbitrate because see our hearts have to go up to the justice system to the courtroom where God is because God operates in the law. He has a principle and everything is there in order. He made an order for it. But the moment you forgive. Oh, you're not acc You can't be accused of that anymore. No, no, wipe that all off. You're clean. And the devil's shouting over there, "No, no, no. That person's evil. That person deserves hell." And Jesus said, "No, I forgave them." And and God looks back down. No, I see the blood of Jesus over that person. They're saved. And the devil is so rattled by it. That is what arbitration is, folks. You get into the presence of the Lord because you're in the sacred place. You're praying and you're reading his word and you're having the relationship. You're letting him rule your heart. Arbitrate your heart because he's telling you you're forgiven and you're saying, "I believe it. I take it. I even forgive myself." Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Synopsis: The message opens in prayer, asking for “the sincere milk of the Word” and God’s strength in weakness. It teaches that truth brings freedom (Jn 8:32): believers are declared free, yet must walk out of bondage by gaining knowledge and wisdom (Prov 28:26; 11:9). Jesus warns that practiced sin enslaves (Jn 8:34); 1 Jn 1:8 admits we still sin, while 1 Jn 3:9 speaks of the reborn spirit that cannot sin. Reconciling these, 1 Thes 5:23 shows we are tri-part beings: spirit (already made alive), soul (being saved), and body (not perfected until resurrection; 1 Cor 15:50–57). The battleground is the soul—our “operating system”—which will be driven either by the Spirit’s wisdom (James 3; Jn 6:63) producing the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22–23), or by worldly, sense-driven impulses producing the works of the flesh (Gal 5:19–21) that steal the joy of God’s kingdom within. The sermon addresses inherited iniquities across generations and offers a practical path: confess and forgive ancestral sins, sever old ties, and receive the Spirit’s breath to lead the soul (Jn 20:21–23; 1 Jn 1:9). Biblical examples (David and the showbread; Rahab) illustrate being led by the Spirit over legalism. I pray that you would open our ears that we may hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us tonight as we partake of your word, that you will give us a heart not only to understand it, but to implement it. Father God, thank you, Lord Jesus, for your presence here tonight. Thank you for blessing Fred and Tony and thank you for blessing vision for Women Ministries, Father God. And thank you, dear Lord Jesus, for giving strength, Father God. Uh uh when we stumble and we get weak, Father God, and we get weary because of the fight, Father God. You come in strong. You show yourself strong to the weak, Father God. And I pray dear Lord Jesus that as we have gone through our times of weaknesses and and and uh and fights and struggles and battles that you are here tonight and that you are here strong on our behalf. Hallelujah in Jesus name. Amen. Praise God. God is strong. Hallelujah. Praise you Jesus. I'm gonna be speaking about liberate. I guess uh uh knowledge is deliverance or freedom uh to know and uh I want to get as much as I can in without rushing it. So I'm going to be um going by the scriptures kind of quick and if he can take notes, no problem. I'll give this to Fred and he can um uh and he can make up well actually he has copy of them already given copies of it but the first scripture is in John 8:32 and then we know this one Jesus says and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Now uh we have to understand that uh you can be declared free and not be free. You know we had the um uh the war the civil war to where you know the slaves were declared free but then if you were on a plantation and you didn't have nowhere to go technically you were not owned but you still had to pay now for rent and everything else. So you still didn't get anything. you work for free. Okay? So technically you were free but in reality you were not. Okay? And so we have to understand that that happens with us Christians too. We are free because Jesus has made us free. But if we're bound by the devil, we're still having to pay dues to the devil. I don't care what you call it. So Jesus says, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." Proverbs 28:26, it says, "He that walks in knowledge will be delivered." You know, I have it in Spanish and I'm translating. I better look it up real quick. Let's go to Proverbs 28:26. Make sure that I get it right. See, that's how I get in trouble in Spanish. I try to translate from English to Spanish. And then it's the uh the Bible according to my own translation. Uh and that doesn't work as you know. So, Proverbs 28:26 says, "He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered." Proverbs 28:26. It if you walk wisely, you will be delivered. Okay? The opposite of that is if we walk foolishly, we will be snare or bound. So, so the point I'm trying to make is with these three scriptures and one more that I'm going to read. The point that I'm trying to make is that even though once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our savior and lord, we are free, it requires for us to walk out of the prison. You know, you can take a bird that's been on his cage uh for a long long time and open the door and the bird is so used to being in there and having the food there that even if he flies away, he doesn't know what to do and he comes back and that in reality we were on the human nature so long that we come into the freedom of God. And the first thing he says, "Oh my god, but if I give television, if I keep boo if I give boo up, if I give my joints up, if I give this, if I give that, if I give all of the things, what's left, Lord, just stuff me up and put me on a wall someplace, you know? I mean, I don't have a life." That's the mentality that we get when we get saved because, you know, man, everything is is bad for you. You can't listen to oldies. You can't listen to raps. Okay, let's there's nothing that you can do. My god, you know, I mean, I'm dead. And that's the mentality that we have that brings us back to the old way of life. And the other scripture is in Proverbs 11:9. This is one of the scriptures that we use for for many years on the deliverance ministry. And uh it says uh he uh proverbs 11:19, the hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Through knowledge. So here you have Jesus says you will know the truth and the truth is going to make you free. He says that if you walk in uh in in in knowledge, you will be delivered. And then he says that the just, that's us, because we're just because Jesus made us just uh uh will be delivered by by by the truth. Um he says um but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. Now, when he's talking about deliverance, many Christians, they have that religious spirit on them. Said, "Well, I've already been delivered. I've already been set free." Jesus paid for all of my sins. You know, I'm I'm as delivered as I'll ever going to be, you know. And this is basically what the Pharisees said to Jesus when Jesus came in and and was telling them that they're doing wrong things. We're not slaves to anybody. They were slave to the Romans, but oh no, we're not slaves. We're children of Abraham. We're not slaves. And how did Jesus answer to them? Look at John 8:34. Let's go to John 8:34 real quick. And this is what Jesus has to says about those who by inheritance, they have inherited the promises of God. And so they believe there are free. And Jesus said to them in John 8:34, "Most assuredly I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin." Uhoh. Do you know any Christians that have sinned lately? Well, we're free, but yet we're slaves to sin. And this is I guess the u the greatest tool that Satan has over all Christians that you know we are free. We have been set free. We have been purchased. We're hes of Abraham. We have the blessings of God upon our lives. But yet because of lack of knowledge. We do not have freedom. We do not have liberty. We do not have deliverance. We walk in sin. And when we walk in sins, we're a slave to sin. And who's the one that runs the sin market? Satan. So that means he can manipulate you, right? That means that you you get on high for the Lord. And Satan said, "I bet don't bother him now. He's in one of those uh Holy Ghost high, you know. I'll wait until he gets a little depressed. I'll wait until he gets a little down." You know, that's what it is for people that want to quit smoking. They go for 30 days, 40 days. They're doing real good. And then when the pressure gets in, you know, he throws, throws, and then, oh man, you got to have that nicotine. You know, you got to have it to to release the pressure. And so that's what he does. He sees you in a Holy Ghost high and then he waits his time. He said he'll come down from that mountain. He can't stay up there forever. And he waits until you come down. And man, when you come down, he's waiting for you. And he's waiting for you with a big hammer and he hits you with it. And boom, he says, "Oh, I got you again. Now you're a slave to sin again." So I want to deal in this first part with uh uh this issue. How do we know the truth so that we can walk in freedom? How can we walk in freedom so that we can be delivered? And and how can can can we understand uh the deliverance that God has for us? Okay, I want to throw you a curveball. Now, if you go to first John, this is one of the the uh what you may call it uh theological issues that I had to deal with in my own life when I got saved and I began to study the word of God. First John chapter 1, uh verse 8. First John is towards the end of the Bible. It's uh right after Peter. I think you got uh James, Peter, and John, the letters after Hebrews. So towards the end of the Bible. Okay. Now 1 John 1:8, let's read it. It says, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive oursel and the truth is not in us." Uhoh. John 8:34 says that if you sin, you're a slave to sin. And first John 1:8 says that if we say that we do not sin, we're liars. So we're sinning. So that means that to whatever degree may be on each individual person, we are all having to deal with sin's manipulation over our life. You can't escape it. It's there. Okay. Now, let me throw another curveball at you. Go to First John 3 verse 9 since we're right there on that uh that beautiful chapter. 1 John 3:9. First John 3:9 says, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin." Uh oh, I missed that curve by mile. Whoever has been born of God does not sin. Uh oh, I don't think I'm being born again. How many of us have not? Well, first John 1:8 just told us that if we say that we haven't sinned, we're lying. And now first John 3:8 3:9 says, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for his seed, God's seed, remains in him, and he cannot sin because he has been born of God." Now remember I read you three scriptures uh John 8:32, Proverbs 28:26, Proverbs 11:9 that says that it is true knowledge that the righteous it is delivered. It is through understanding that we get set free. So we need to understand what that verse is saying to us. If we do not understand what those verses are saying to us, then we can still walk in ignorance and in lack of knowledge. And when we're in lack of knowledge, we're not delivered. We're bound we're bound by ignorance. Um Hosea 6:4 I think it says uh uh my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Okay, lack of knowledge. What you don't know will hurt you. What you don't know will hurt you because that's the realm that Satan works on. So what is John or the Holy Spirit speaking through John about? Okay, in order to understand this, let's go to 1 Thessalonians 5:23 and then I'll explain it. I'll give you a fast poll that you can hit. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. And that's right before a few books before First John. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Now may the God of peace himself whenever God introduces himself by a title he is telling you what he's dealing with. Did you know that most Christians do not have peace because of the fact that they know that they are being manipulated by Satan at certain times? Nothing grieves a Christian more than being all of the these are together. So, first Thessalonia is with Timothy where Timothy and Titus are which is right before Hebrews. But, uh, Christians get grieved when they know that Satan has a hold on them because you're trying to serve God. You're trying to worship God and you have that voice, that accuser in the ear telling you hypocrite. You were out there doing this today, doing that, and you're trying to come over here now serve God. you know, if you are an usher or if you're trying to play uh for the Lord or praying with somebody and we're having to deal with that. And so, if we do not understand this, we cannot be delivered because truth is what sets us free. Now, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, God says, "I am the God of peace, and I'm going to show you something that is going to give you peace." First Thessalonians towards the back of the Bible, right where you were, right by First John, just work towards the front of the Bible. You have Hebrews and then all of the TE's are there. Yeah. Okay. So, God is saying, "I am the God of peace and I'm going to show you something that is going to give you peace." 1 Thessalonians 5:23, it says, "May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely." Now I want you to underline that word you completely in in Spanish is really good. I got a neat revelation when I was starting that in Spanish is the whole you, the real you, the complete you. And that's why God is said may the God of peace sanctify you completely, your whole you, not just part of you, your whole you. First Thessalonians 5:23, your whole you. And then he tells you what the whole you is. He says uh uh may may now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely the whole you and may your and then he says whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. So what God is saying here is that we are made of three parts. We're made of three parts. We're made of spirit. We're made of soul and we're made of body. Now, the soul and the spirit are made of invisible stuff. You can't see the spirit. You cannot see the soul. Have you ever been next to a person that's dying? I kind of try to look to see if I see a smoke or a puff or something come out. Doesn't happen. You can't see it. The soul leaves the body. It's go. All you see is the breath stop, you know. the breast stop and that's it. You don't see the spirit coming out. The spirit is invisible. The same way with the soul. The soul is invisible. So then the only part that we see is onethird of us which is made of physical stuff. That's the body. And so we have a tendency to think that the body is the whole thing. You see? But no, we're two parts spirit, one part physical. Two parts invisible, one part visible. So God deals with the whole us, not just the one. So we have to understand that if I sin, God is going to look beyond the body to the other two parts to see what is causing that body to malfunction. If you have a car and the car is not running, you got to check the uh uh uh uh the gasoline. You got to check the oil. You got to check the battery. There's different. There's there's electricity is one part of it. The combustion system is another part of it, you know, and and your tires have to be on or the battery have to be on, you know. So, so God is the God that looks at the whole you. And if God sees your body breaking down and doing something, instead of God judging the body, he looks at the whole person to see where the problem is. Because you see, it is through knowledge or through understanding or through revelation that the righteous is delivered. The truth sets you free when you understand this. Now, I I got a whole bunch of scripture there, but for the sake of of just getting the point home and getting as much as a message as I can. Like I said, I got five pages. I want to tell you our physical body will not underline this will not be made perfect in the state that it is in right now. I don't care how much you pray. I don't care how much you fast. I don't care how much you exercise. You can eat fruits and nuts until you die. And you're going to die still. You're going to get old still. you're going to hurt still. This physical body became corrupt when Adam sinned. And this physical body, the only hope for the physical body is in u I I can give you the scripture if you want to take uh the notes is in 1 Corinthians 15 15- 57. It talks about the day that the body is going to be redeemed. 1 Corinthians 15:50-57. It says that the trumpet is going to blow because the trumpet will blow at the last time. And it says and every person to die who their bodies got all and die. You know, Moses was a man of faith and he died. Abraham was a man of great faith and he died. And the prophets, they were killed. They didn't get a chance to die on their own. Most of them were killed, but they died. See, we have to understand that our physical body, the the one-third part of who we are, will not be trans will not be redeemed until the day that it is transformed. In other words, if the trumpet, there's a trumpet that's going to sound and that trumpet is going to initiate the restoration of the physical body. That means that if I die and they put me in a wholesome place and 30 years later the trumpet blows signaling that Jesus is coming back that physical body which at the time would be nothing but dust is going to shoot up. All of the molecules the atoms are going to come back together and the spirit and the soul which are already with Christ are going to have a house to operate here on the earth with him. This is what's going to happen. So first of all my friend understand this that the physical body can only be controlled or brought under desemation of the spirit but cannot be made perfect. Cannot be made perfect. He's going to get tired. Jesus got tired. Jesus couldn't carry the cross. They had to get somebody to carry the cross for him. That physical body is going to fail. That's why the Bible says put no confidence in the flesh. Don't trust your physical body. Trust the spirit, you know, have a pair of handcuff and lock yourself up until throw the key out the window if you need to stay in for that night. And when somebody comes in the morning, tell them where the key is at downstairs, come pick up, set you free. Do whatever you can to control that physical thing. But the physical body cannot be redeemed until you're transformed by the coming of the Lord. But now, and that's what 1 Corinthians 15 says. So then you need to understand that two parts of you, your spirit and your soul are living in a house that is full of termites and cockroaches and rats, bad plumbing. All kinds of bad things are in the house that we're living on. So we're going to have to learn true knowledge is a righteous deliver. We're going to have to learn how to live in this house. Okay. Now, so when first John 1:8 says, "If you say you have no sin, you're lying is because in your physical body, you will always have the tendency to sin." Your physical body, as long as it's alive, as long as there's breath in that physical body, the tendency to sin will always be there. So, we need to know that. So when the Bible says, if you say that you're have no sin, you're lying. That's right. But what is he talking about? He's talking about the body. But now when the Bible says in 1 John 3:9 that he who is born of God does not sin, cannot sin and will never sin. Hallelujah. Is because God is referring to your spirit man. See, spirits don't die. We need to understand the physical body, the one-third of us has a beginning and has an end. You know that's how but spirits don't die. Spirits are eternal. So a dead spirit simply means a spirit that separated from God. So when Adam was created, God played around with mud. He he he started putting some m together and he formed you know God is pretty good with his hands you know he created everything the heavens are his handiwork. So if God can create all that beauty I mean he took man and he just fashion but it was nothing but a lump of clay but then the breath of God which is eternal spirit. God's always been always will be. God has no beginning no end. God, eternal spirit blew into the the the nose. I I figured God maybe took his fingernail and and poke a little hole up in there in the nose, you know, and when he blew in through that, the man became a living soul, meaning the spirit of God gave life to the physical body. Well, when Adam, God said to Adam, if you do this that you're not supposed to do, you're going to die. Referring to his spirit. Satan comes in and says, "Oh, you will not die." Referring to the body. We need to understand that this is how Satan operates. Satan always uh approaches us in the physical uh way because he knows that's where we're weak at in the flesh. But God always begins with the spirit because that's what gives life. The spirit is what gives life. So when Satan said to oh no, you will not die. Adam took of the fruit and he still lived 930 years. His physical body did but his spirit became separated from God instantly. He lived in a garden of Eden with God and he was thrown out. Okay? So when Jesus and and and and catch this because this is important. God said we have to get rid of the man because if he reaches his hand now and takes of the tree of the fruit of life which is Jesus if he reaches his hand and takes of the tree of the fruit of life he's going to live forever but he will live forever in sin because you see the sin has to be taken out of him be before his spirit could be restored so God had to take him out of the garden deal with his sinful nature before he could bring the tree of life now Jesus comes in and he says, "This is my body. Take and eat. This is the cup, my blood. Drink it." Once we do that, I confess it. You cannot get saved without confessing that you're a sinner. Because you cannot get rid of the sin unless first you confess it. So you come to God and said, "I confess that I'm a sinner and and and accept Jesus sacrifice in your behalf." The breath of God blows again on you in the nostrils. The Holy Spirit comes. The Holy Spirit came to me June 3rd, 1976 when I went to the altar and and confessed that I was a sinner that night. The Holy Spirit came in and entered into me. And what he did is he made my spirit who was separated from God quote unquote dead. He wasn't dead because spirits live eternally. My spirit would have been in hell forever. Separated from God, he made my spirit alive in him. And even though my body hasn't been redeemed yet, and it might take thousands of years, it may be tomorrow, but whatever it takes, I can never die again. My spirit is connected with God cannot die and it cannot sin. And so when First John 3:9 says, "Whoever is born of God does not sin," let's read it. I'll show you why. And in Spanish, this was neat. I got the uh uh I got some neat revelation uh getting it's like getting a different translation. 1 John 3:9. Whoever has been born of God does not sin for his seed remains in him and he cannot sin because he has been born again speaking of our spirit men. But the word there his seed meaning God's seed in Spanish is [Music] and that comes from the semen from from the the male semen. In other words, in the physical body we have a semen that when planted into the woman brings life. It causes something to to to to be conceived and to be born. God saying of our spirit when my spirit comes into your spirit my semen or God's lifegiving power came into the spirit and if you read out it says and it remains whoever has been born of God does not sin because God's sin is in him and remains cannot be taken out Satan cannot cause the semen of God to be taken out out of your spirit because your spirit is either separated separated with God or or united with God. And sin cannot separate your spirit from the love of God. Read Romans 8. Uh uh uh Paul says, "I am fully persuaded that neither life nor death, nor principalities, nor power, nor angel, nor demon, nor things uh uh present, nor things to come can ever separate me from the love of God." That's where the why? Because the love of God has been shed abroad in my heart. That's where the spirit is. So knowledge begins with the fact that two out of three parts of us has already been dealt with. Our body is corrupt and our spirit has been made alive in Jesus. I am perfect in Jesus. I am seated at the right hand of the father. That's my address. Like uh Fred likes to say, that's my mailing address is in heaven. Satan sends me any hate mail, that's where it goes. The angels of God got to deal with that them bum letters and the things that he said. That's that's where they go. That's my address. That's my home address. So then now comes apart if my spirit is born again and it cannot sin and my body has been so polluted that has to be destroyed and it has to be uh uh renewed or made alive or uh how do we say transformed then the part of me that needs fixing like I said I can't do nothing about the body I can do nothing about the spirit then the part of me that needs fixing is the soul see the soul soul is our operating system. Our soul is our operating system. Like a computer, you can have the in the computer thousand gigabytes or whatever they call those things. You can have all of that knowledge and everything, but if you don't have a Windows program, it's not going to do you any good. Because if you don't speak that computer language to tell it what to do, you're not going to do nothing. But yeah, you get your Windows program, which is the operating system, and it has this little thing they call a mouth, and you just point and click, point and click, point and click, and the computer go, but all you're doing is pointing and clicking. That's how it is. Our our spirit is very complex, but the soul makes it easy. The soul is just a point and click. So then the soul is the one that needs to be saved. In other words, my spirit is already saved. My body will be saved when the trumpet uh uh comes, but my soul is being saved. That's the part of me that needs to be worked on. Now, let me see if I can find because I'm going so fast over here. Uh Luke 6:45, Jesus says, "The good man out of the treasure that is in his heart brings good thing." uh uh uh the the the evil man out of the treasure that is in his heart brings. And then he says out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks. Okay. So whatever is in the soul, that's what's going to speak. And then uh okay, let me see. Um remember I'm translating as I'm reading this our Spanish. No. Okay. I'm looking for a scripture here. Okay, let's go to uh 1 Peter 1:9. 1 Peter 1:9. It's right there by where First John is at. Just go back a little bit. 1 Peter 1:9. 1 Peter 1:9 says, "Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls." receiving the end of your faith which is the salvation of your soul. First Peter 1:9. Now if the end of faith is getting your soul saved then the beginning is when the spirit got saved. So we need to understand that our spirit is already saved. Our body will be transformed when the trumpet blows but the soul is being saved right now. The script that I was trying to look that I couldn't find is working out your own salvation with trembling and fear. And uh I don't know what what scripture that was in I had it on on this one. Uh for those of you who are taking notes or uh Philippians Philippines Philippians 2:12, he says, "Work out your own salvation with trembling and fear." So the salvation is worked out in in in in there. Now I'm going to give you an illustration to help our physical mind understand how the soul the spirit interact in 1 Thessalonians 5:23 where God says your whole person he's praying that your whole being your whole person will be kept until the day of redemption your whole spirit your soul and your body. The word for spirit all through the New Testament which was written in Greek is numa. Numa that's like u uh the inner tubes that you put in bicycles, you put in cars and numa. That's where we get pneumatic, pneumatic tools, all of the things. And it means numa because in in both Hebrew and Greek the word spirit, breath, air are all interchangeable. If you say air in Greek, you might as well be saying spirit. If you say spirit, you might as well be saying air because air cannot be seen. And as I said, our soul and and and our spirits cannot be seen. So they call them air. So then the word numa pneumaticos in in the Greek is the word that says what our spirit is. And it means a blast of air. Like I take a balloon that has nothing in it. That blast of air, that's the word numa. And that is what God did when he got a hold of Adam's nostrils and he blew into his nostril. The spirit came into Adam. Now why is this important? Okay. The word for soul in the same where he said your whole spirit your soul. The word for soul is suket. This is where we get the word psyche. Psychology. Everything that has a p and a h before that comes from the word soul. You know psychology has to do with with the study of of the mind. you know, uh, uh, suket also means air, but not a blast of air, just air. And so when you look at it the way that the Greek presents it is our soul is like a tool that runs on air. Let's say a jackhammer. You got a nice jackhammer, you need a compressor. The jackhammer runs in air, but by itself it cannot run. So you get a compressor going, you hook to that jackhammer, and as the air begins to blow through the jackhammer, power comes in and it moves the tool. Our soul was designed or created by God to be motivated by spirits air. So my soul is driven by spirits. Why you think they call it inspiration? Spirits working inside. Inspiration. To be inspired, to be motivated. Okay. You want to be a a what do you call it? A Olympic person. And you got to have a lot of air motivating you in there to where when everybody quits, you keep going. You keep going. You are driven. The word self-esteem is soul air, soul power moving. So once we understand this, now we can get a better picture of what God is talking about when he's dealing with deliverance of oursel. Because here's the problem. when I was born up until when I was 29, my spirit man was separated from God because I wasn't born again. So my spirit was out of the picture. It was disengaged. It didn't have nothing to do with with my life. So what was it then that was motivating my soul? What was my inspiration? What was the force that was robbing my life before I got born again? Well, my senses, the loss of the flesh, the loss of the eye, the pride of life. Those are the three main spirits that are in the world. The loss of the flesh. So, I was driven by fear. I was driven by love. I was driven by whatever thing you know, selfish love, but all kinds of things. Those are the things that drive us. And since those things are all in the world, James uh one of the scriptures I have is is James chapter three I think it was and it talks about how there's two different kinds of windows. Yeah. James 3:13-18. He says that there are those two kinds of wisdom. See because knowledge is equated with the spirit or the breath. So when God says it is true knowledge that the righteous is delivered, it's not the knowledge of the world. It's the knowledge that comes out of the mouth of God. John 6:63 Jesus says, "The words that I speak to you, they are spirit and they are life." So when the the the knowledge that comes from above like James 3 says comes in, it produces peace. It produces self-control. It produces good things on my body. You know what you put in your soul determine what your body walks on. That's what Galatians chapter 5 is all about. Tells you what the fruit of the flesh is and what the fruit of the spirit is. When the spirit of God is moving through your soul, there's love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control. The body says, "Oh, I want that." Shut up. You can't have it. The spirit is driving you. The spirit said, "That's not good for you." And so, the spirit is motivating the soul. on the soul like an athlete that is driven to accomplish something denies himself, denies the body the things that he wants because he has a goal. He's driven by something. Paul uses that when he's talking about how athletes uh uh uh work to to get a crown that phase he says we should be driven by that eternal crown that we're going to get. Okay. So now then there's uh also a wisdom in in in James 3 that is from the world. He says this wisdom is sensual. Not sexual sensual meanings that this wisdom manipulates the soul through the senses. What you see, what you hear, what you smell, what you taste, what you touch. And that is Satan's realm because he is the prince of the power of the air. The spirits that run the world are all geared up to the senses. Sit on the TV and watch for 20 minutes and tell me how much stuff you're going to see there in those 20 minutes that are going to tempt your senses. They're all gear up to your senses to manipulate your senses. Every time I fasted, I see commercials about steaks and barbecues and and it looks so good. I could go to the TV and take a bite of it. You know, it is like that. It's all manipulated to do that. So then deliverance or the knowledge that brings deliverance is having to understand what spirit is driving me? What spirit is driving my soul? Well, Jesus says, "By the fruit you will know them." You know, you can uh let me take a drink of water here. You can uh uh hang around with the person that you just met and you hang around with them for let's say 30 minutes, an hour. And within that period of time, you're going to know exactly what drives that person. Whether a person is driven by money, whether the person is driven by pride, whether a person is driven by family, whether the person is driven by whatever is driven, it comes out so quick. It is known because you know is is is what we're breathing is what we're moving on. deliverance. The knowledge that does deliverance is given to us by God for the purpose of identifying what spirits are driving me or motivating me and why are they there? You know, deliverance is is is simple is what is it? Synopsis: Opening in worship and prayer, the message calls the church to spiritual alertness: Jesus is coming soon, and the Spirit is speaking now. Using Psalm 19, the teacher shows how God’s glory and voice are constantly revealed—both in the heavens (spiritual) and the firmament (natural). Like the sun that none can escape, God’s revelation is always present; our task is to tune our “receiver” to His frequency. The teaching contrasts spiritual wisdom with simplicity/foolishness (Psalm 19:7–14; Proverbs 1:1–7). The word says that in you we live and move and have our existence. Without you, we're dead. Without you, there's no life. Without you, there's no joy. Without you, there's no peace. Without you, there's no uh uh life, light, nothing. Lord, everything will be so dark and so dreary without you. So, we do thank you that you are the light of the world. And we pray Lord that you will your life will arise tonight within our souls, within our hearts, Father God, that we may be able to hear for the Holy Spirit is speaking and he's speaking loudly and he's speaking forcefully and he's telling us that you are soon to come, Lord Jesus, and that we are to get ready. So, as we prepare tonight, Father in heaven, I pray that that you would bless each and every one of us here tonight, including myself, that you would grant us ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to us tonight, that we may be able to understand and to receive with our hearts. Father God, not just with our minds, but with our hearts what the Holy Spirit is impressing on each and every one of us here tonight. Father, I take authority over every uh demonic stronghold, Father God, that may be over any of us over here tonight that will keep us from hearing what the Holy Spirit is saying. I bind it, Father God, according to the word of Isaiah. I condemn every spirit that will keep us from hearing the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ, Father God. And I thank you and I praise you, Father God, for releasing us now to receive, Father God, the truth of your word, Father God, as spoken through the gospel of Jesus Christ by the Apostle Paul, Father God, when he proclaimed your gospel that you gave to him personally. And we thank you for we receive no other gospel, Father God. We receive no other Jesus and no other spirit, but that the true and living son of God, the word that came flesh, Father God, and we receive him now right here in our midst, Father God, to teach us and to lead us and to guide us into all truth. We're going to start uh with Psalm uh 19 vers uh well actually we're going to read the whole psalm but we're going to read the first four verses in Psalm 19. And what I'm uh the Lord has given me to share with tonight is about having ears to hear what the Holy Spirit will say to the churches. If you read in the um uh the letters uh the seven letters to the churches in revelation in I think it's revelation chapter 2 and chapter 3 each letter closes with let him who has ears hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. We need to understand that the Holy Spirit is speaking and that we need to be able to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying and able to uh and to be able to understand because how many know that if if we miss a sign in the freeway or on the street, we can get into trouble. You know, they pass this new year coming up, there's going to be all kinds of new laws that are going to be in the book. And none of us are probably going to know what the new laws are. But guess what? We break it, we pay for it. Whether we know it or not, it doesn't make any difference. We're liable to that. And so it is with the word of God. We need to know what the word of God says. In Psalm 19:es 1-4, it says, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows his handy work. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth and their words to the end of the world. What David is saying there that the heavens speaking about the spiritual realm declare the glory of God. The glory of God is a revelation of God. When when God reveals himself, there's light. There's a glorious radiance that God brings forth when you are full of God's glory. God's character is in you. You see the uh the blessings of God, the anointing of God, the the infilling of God, the promises of God, that's what walking in the anointing is or walking in the glory. When Jesus walked on the earth, he walked in the glory of God. We saw the the eternal glory when he went to the mouth mount of transfiguration and he shone brighter than the noonday sun. But actually he was the manifestation of the glory of God everywhere as he went. He was a manifestation of the glory of God when he was pe healing people. He was the manifestation of the glory of God when he was on the back of the boat sleeping. He was a manifestation of the glory of God when he hung naked on the cross. All were different aspects of God speaking to us. And then of course the day that he rose from the grave, that was the fulfillment of the glory. And every single one of us that believe that Jesus Christ is our savior and lord one day will rise up. We will be filled with that glory. But God speaks uh uh speaks to us to walk in that glory right now. See the glory is the anointing. the anointing. When Jesus went, every went, everywhere that Jesus went, demons manifested. He went to the synagogue, the synagogue ruler began to manifest. Why? Because the glory of God was in it. And that glory was known by the spirits that were in the room. And you see, you could just to the natural eye just be yourself. But when you walk in with the anointing of God into a room full of darkness, believe me, that darkness will know that somebody that has the glory of God living in his presence. Hallelujah. You're going to ruffle some feather. You're going to get some dirty looks or you're going to get some reaction, you know, when the glory of God is in you. But the glory of God has to be received. And if you notice over here, it says that the the heaven, the spiritual realm declares the glory of God. And then it shows also the firmament. The firmament is a physical. When you look at the at the heaven, you'll see the stars, you see the clouds, you see the sky. That also speaks of the glory of God. So here we have two kinds of of glory. one that is spiritual in the heavens and one that is um um uh that is visible. And then he said day onto day verse two utter speech that's speaking about uh there's revelation coming out during the day and night unto night it reveals knowledge. And then look what it says in verse three. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. There's no place on the earth where you can go that you can hide from this glory that has been revealed. And it doesn't matter whether you don't understand English or you don't speak Spanish or you don't speak Chinese. Anywhere you're in the world, that voice speaking. You know why? Because it's speaking to your spirit man. And your spirit man only knows one language. See, all spirits speak one language. flesh is is that that's where the languages were divided in in in habel and a tower of babel babel where where the there was a confused but our spirits speak the same language you see all of us humans I don't care where you're at can can can tell when we're loved and when we're not we can tell when we're rejected and when we're accepted those things don't need language to tell you don't need no language to know that somebody really cares for you may not understand a thing they're saying But you can see it on their eyes. You can see it on their compassion. The same way if they hate you because spirits speak a different language. So here we have the manifestation of two revelations of speech. One is spiritual and one is physical. God speaks through both. God speaks through us through the spirit realm. This glory is being shown forth and then he also speaks through the little things. Have you ever just turned having happened to turn the radio on at the right time and and I remember before I got saved when the Holy Spirit was dealing with me, I was driving this uh motor home. We were going out to Yuseite or some place and I was desperately to to to hear something good. No music was playing. All I could find was a gospel station. I don't care where I would turn it, the preacher will always say, "Would you like to be saved and know it?" You know, I was a Catholic. I I believe I didn't need to be saved. I was already saved. You know, I didn't understand salvation. I didn't understand conversion. And so anywhere as I turn, the Holy Spirit will speak and will say, "Would you like to be saved and know it?" "Would you like to be saved and know it?" And yeah, would somebody tell me what it means to be saved? You know, it was like God. But but God speaks to you through a thing. You know, you could be going by a billboard and there's a big message over there and it's just for you. So God uses the physical realm as well as the spiritual realm to speak through us. Now uh at the end of verse uh four he says in them and if you have the notes there you see that I have a list of the heavens that I have in them in them in the physical realm God has set a tabernacle for the son. Verse five, which is like a bridegroom going out of his chamber and rejoices like a strong man to run his race. His rising is from one end of heaven and his circuit to the other end and there is nothing hidden from his seat. Now God is going to say my glory, the spiritual glory of God so that you can relate is pretty much like the sun. You can't hide from it. There's no place on earth where you can hide from the sun or even from the stars when when the sun is on the other side. Uh uh just like God set up a light a physical light which is the sun our star and it radiates and it gives life to with things and says that's what my glory is. You can be in the darkest cave you can be in the deepest ocean. You can be in the deepest forest. You know, sometimes one time I was we were going on an airplane to u San Louis Rio, Colorado. We were building a church there and it was so dark and gloomy and we took off of Compton airport. The church had a plane and when we broke through the clouds and got on top, it was like, oh my god, the sun was out and it was so bright, you know, because the clouds were white on the top and you could see and when you're below the clouds, it looks so dark and so gloomy, but yet the sun was up. And that's what God is saying. My glory is always there. Even when you're going through your darkest time, even when you're going to to where you cannot see anything, my glory is always there. Just like the sun. And the storms are not forever, my friend. The clouds are not there forever. There are seasons. That's what the sun was given for season. So we go through seasons when we cannot hear like we would like to hear or when we do not experience the glory of God like we should. But what God is teaching us that we need to learn to hear God speak to us even when there's clouds, even when there's darkness, even when there's gloom. You see, because God is speaking continuously. He says, "Tday and night, they utter speech." Now, all of a sudden, this psalm takes a complete turn. And in verse seven, it departs from everything that it was talking about the creation. And he says the law of the Lord is perfect. So you see he was given us something physical so that we could relate to something spiritual. The Lord the law of the Lord is perfect. Converting the what? The soul. See that's what God God is in the business of conversion. Did you know that we got messed up? You know, Adam and Eve, they they took the wrong turn. And ever since that day, humankind has been going downhill, okay? We we we're going the wrong way. You know, when I got saved, it's like God somehow had this super laser kind of thing. He just cut my my skull here just like a neat thing and like he lifted it up and he took my brain and he turned around and he put it back in and he closed it. That's how I felt when I got saved. It was like all of a sudden, oh man, wow, I can see now. You know, it's just like everything was messed up, but all of a sudden everything is right. That that's what salvation, that's what God is in the business of. And what does he do? He speaks. God speaks. How can they know unless you send somebody to preach there or to speak it? And so he gives us a uh you know a revelation of the spiritual with the physical heavens. And then now he comes in and he speaks about his word. He says the law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple. Every time you would hear, and we're going to go to Proverbs in a little bit, but every time you hear the Bible using the word simple or fool is speaking about somebody who lacks spiritual understanding, you need to understand this because you can be Bill Gates and have billions and billions of dollars and if you don't understand the spiritual principles or the spiritual laws of God, you're a fool. Okay? We have to understand this is not talking about how smart you are, how street smart or college smart or how wise you are or how sharp or how you slow. When the Bible calls you simple, meaning you don't understand spiritual principle, you're not listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying. This is what the Bible calls the fool. The fool has said on his heart, there is no God. Why? Because he is blind to everything that's going. How can you not know that there is a God? You just need to look around. Look in the mirror. He's even joke. He likes to joke around. Just look in the mirror. Sometimes you'll see that God has a great sense of humor. He makes some people gray hair. He makes some people no hair. You know, he just has a great sense of humor. But but God is is is speaking and he says if you are not listening to the words that I speak to you, you're a simple that means you you have no spiritual understanding. you're a fool because you lack the knowledge and God doesn't want us to be in that condition. Let me read again Psalm 19:7 and we're going to go through uh through verse 10. It says, "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise and simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart, and the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous allto together. More to be desired are they than gold. Yeah, that much fine gold. Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. You see, the word of the Lord is what man was created to indwell. You have to see this. It it talks about I think it's Psalm 95 and it talks about in Proverbs the Holy Spirit is speaking through I don't know if it was David or Moses. I think it was Moses who wrote Psalm 95 and David who published it and and then the writer of Hebrews which was probably Paul when they speak through the Holy Spirit the word of God says a body you prepare for me. See, the word of God, the glory of God, needed a physical house to dwell in. You see, if you go to space and you wear your regular clothes, you're going to fray. There's a vacuum in space. Your eyes are going to pop out and you're going to just explode. So, if you want to go into outer space, you better wear a suit. And this suit better have a cooling system in it and have oxygen and everything. If you're going to go down to the deepest ocean, you better have something there. You see, you need to the environment that you're going to, you need to have something to to be in that environment. Well, you see, a spirit, which the word of God is spirit, and God is spirit. In order to operate on the physical realm that God has created, you need a body. That's why demons are going after humans. They cannot experience. I mean, imagine being invisible and seeing a being having all of your senses and everything and being hungry and seeing this big old juicy steak, you know, and man, you can even smell it and you want to eat that thing. You can't get it. You can't get it. You're hungry. You're dying of thirst. This is what spirits are. This is why uh demons are Jesus said when they're cast out of a person, they're going through dry places. They need a body. Because a body is what gives you the ability to enjoy the things the blessings that are here on the earth. So we need to understand the the word the body the physical body was created to be inhabited by the glory of God. So when Jesus said a body you prepared for me and Jesus the word became flesh that body now was full of the perfect law of God. That is our purpose. That is our destiny. God intended for us to walk in the fullness of his counsel, in the fullness of his light. When God created Adam, he said, "You can have it all. Just stay away from this one thing because that one thing will allow something foreign, something that you were not created to endure to come into your body and to pollute your body, which is where we are, the condition that we are today, where we struggle with a a a nature that is not from God. God never created us to steal. God never created us to lie, to lie. God never created us to hate. God na never created us to to to to uh to defraud one another. God never created us to hurt. God is not that way. God is love. God is the complete fulfillment of perfection and goodness. That's what we're called to indwell. So you see now that we're born again, born again means that rejoice that your name is written in heaven. Rejoice that you have a connection now with the spirit of God. Because the spirit of God, see, it's like me having this paper over here and say, "Well, I want to watch the 10:00 news. How come the 10:00 news is not coming there?" Do you know the 10:00 news is right here? All you need is the right receiver. If I get an FM radio, I can pick up all kinds of stations. They're right here. If I get an AM receiver, I can get all kinds of station. If I get one of those um uh uh DVR channels or whatever, I can get all kinds of things. They're right here. But I need the right receiver to be able to receive what they're broadcasting. You see that? So, what I'm saying here is God is broadcasting. The spirit of God is broadcasting what he wants to do in you and me. what he wants to fulfill it. His word is looking for a body that can indwell, a a a body that will allow him to come in, a body that will allow him to bring his perfection into us. But in order to do that, we need to be able to tune in. We got to be able to hear because the spirit is speaking and without us being able to receive it, we're not going to play that good thing that God is playing. You see, because there's another guy that's broadcasting also, and his name is Satan. And guess what? You are already tuned to what he's broadcasting. You don't need to buy anything. You don't have to sign up for anything. Oh, man. You just look around. He's all over. He's sending thoughts into your mind continuously. As a matter of fact, a lot of some of you, he told you, "Don't go there tonight. Whatever you do, stay away from that place." He don't want you to tune in to the other channel. He didn't want you to tune in to where God is broadcasting. Because you see, when we are able to allow the perfect law of God to come in, a transformation begins to take place. Because you see, our body, our soul was designed to be inhabited by the word of God. Oh, hallelujah. We were designed to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying. Satan is being hard at work of messing all of your buttons, you know, like a guitar all out of tune. He's just and and and we need to hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. And that is confirmed of our next verses. Psalm 119 verse 11 through4. Look what it said. Moreover, by them your servant is warned. By what? By what the Lord is broadcasting. By the words that the Lord is broadcasting. Your servant is warned. Have you ever wished you would have been warned? I mean, we could have saved a lot of pain and headaches, you know, if we could just have a little uh uh uh whatchamacallit fast forward button. And we're going to make a decision, you know, before we make it. Let me fast forward this movie. See where it plays out. And woo, I don't want to go there. You know, some of those uh uh things might take you up to a couple of years behind bars. Some of the thing could take you out to 10 years bound by drug addiction. Some of the things can get you in in in the worst relation that you ever had that that that you know you like job, you wish you never been born. But you see, God is broadcasting your future to you. God is broadcasting the path that he has for you. God is telling you which way to walk in the path that he has for you. So it warns us. He tells us, he guidance. That's what he says here. By them your servant. Now notice that he uses the term servant. What is a servant? Somebody who is submitted. Somebody who is willing to listen to correction. Somebody who is willing to say, "Lord, I know I mess this up if I do it by myself. I need help. I need help." He said, "By them your servant is worn, and in keeping them there is a great reward." Oh, I like that. I like that. God is in the business of rewarding. Hallelujah. Did you know that uh um uh you know, I I think of things like this. You might think I'm weird, but uh you know, what do the angels do in heaven for fun? you know, I mean, there's a whole bunch of them up in there sitting and and the devil wants you to think that if you go to heaven, uh uh you know, you're going to wind up on a cloud with a harp, maybe playing the same tune all the time, and that's going to get boring after a couple of million years. You know, uh you know, you you know, but but think of this. God is in the throne, and out of the throne of God come forth lightnings and thundering. And in the book of Revelation, he tells us that every time there's a flash of lightning, the uh uh uh the uh the creatures uh uh the four living creatures just cried out, "Holy, holy, holy." and everybody throws himself to the floor and they just cried and and and you know what it is is those creatures are created in such a way that God can give them such a thrill such a high such a unit that every time there's a little flashing of life from the throne they just like become a feeding frenzy they just go why they lose all complete control the highest height and a minute later God can give another flash and it's just totally different. Oh man, you get so excited. That's what God created us for. Did you know that in eternity? That's why God is eternal because all eternity and you cannot see how big and how great he is. And he'll reward us like that. And we can get glimpses of that sometimes. We can, you know, one time I was in the in the freeway and I was just bemoning my faith and I'm working so hard and all two hours I was on the four or five freeway coming from there and I just and finally something slapped me in the face. God said, "Why don't you concentrate something positive, you know? I mean, you got my spirit in, you got my word." And I repented right there on the sp forgive me, Lord. And I just began to worship him. And man, he just gave me one of those flashes. And I, Holy Spirit is a better driver than I am. He drove home. But I'm telling you, like for an hour over there, I was just weeping. I got home, I was soaked with tears. He just gave me a little flash. And all I needed to do was just tune that old lousy station that I was listening to as to how bad I was because I was stuck in two-hour traffic. And just began to tune into him. And he just gave me a little tiny little reward. He just drew boom and man I just fell apart and like I said he can drive a stick ship truck. I can vow for that. He drove perfectly to the whole thing. I got home and I didn't know how I got home but I got home and everything was fine. No dents on it. Praise God. And so verse 11 Psalm 1911 more moreover by them your servant is worn and in keeping them there is great reward. Verse 12. who can understand his errors. Cleanse me from secret faults. Keep back your servant also for from presumptuous sins and let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer. Now listen to this. This is very important because this is how this is what happened when we tune in to what the Holy Spirit is speaking to us. Look what he he asked a question. David asked this question. Who can understand his errors? You don't know how you were made. You don't know how you've been messed up. You don't know what your generational line is and how many devil worshippers you had and how many Buddha worshippers you have and how many idolattors you have. You don't know how messed up your DNA is, how corrupted that has been. There's just so much garbage, you know, uh um numbers um is it numbers? Uh uh when the ten commandments are given and he says, I am a jealous god and I visit the iniquities of the fathers up until the children to the third and fourth generation. Uh 25, right? Exodus 20 verse five. Yeah. Anyway, uh we have a lot of things in us that cause us to do bad things. David said in Psalm 51 when after he was caught in adultery and and all the things he he says in sin my mother conceived me said I didn't have a chance. This was already on my gene. David was a descendant of Rahab the prostitute who married Solomon and and came down. So, who knows their faults? We don't. But God does. That's the good news. God does. And he's broadcasting. He's telling you, he say, "Hey, I know your weaknesses. I know your strength. I know where you need to stay away from. And I need what you can get close to. If you listen, but listen to me. I'm going to get you fixed up because I know where your faults are at." And then he said, "Who can cleanse me from secret fault?" That means hidden hidden flaws that we have. Did you know that in one of the Proverbs, I I think it was um 68 or I don't I don't remember one of the provers we use for deliverance. It talks about how Satan works. It talks about how they cause like an insurrection from within you and they probe and they search hard. They're looking to find where your faults are at. Satan is always Satan has like a net. He's throwing all kinds of garbage at you. Sometimes you laugh at him. You say Satan think he could set me with that. Well, see, Satan doesn't know. He's not God. He doesn't know what your strengths are, what your weaknesses are. So, he's going to throw everything he can at you. See what sticks. And once he finds something that sticks, boy, he's going to work it. And he's going to work it against you. and he's going to manipulate things and he's going to get things going. So basically what he's saying here if I can tune to what God is speaking to what God is saying God knows not only my errors but he knows my weaknesses. You see God can help me in my weaknesses. God can help me in my infirmities. God can help me in the thing that I need help on to overcome. That's what he's saying there. if I am tuned to him. And then he says verse 13, keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. That applies to many Christians. A lot of time we presume and we think it's faith. We presume that we can do certain things and we think it's faith and it is not. And you see God knows that too. God knows how much faith you have. God really knows whether you have faith for that big car you're going to buy. Whether you're going to be able to make the five years of payments that it takes, whether you're going to have faith for that or not or entering into a relationship. So all of these things are so important because it helps us. He says, and look what it says at the end of verse 13, let them not have dominion over me. That means if I can listen to what God is saying, if I can tune in to the revelation that God is giving me, if I can connect with the Holy Spirit, nothing is going to get a hold of me. Nothing is going to bound me, bind me, nothing is going to have a stronghold over me. Why? Because God is guiding my path. You see, God knows where the snares are that Satan has laid for you. You know how they have those night vision goggles right now? Imagine you walking in darkness through the hills under booby traps. There's all kinds of things. Imagine if all of a sudden now you have one of those pair of bright goggles and then you can walk just like if it was day. Huh? He's got a hole there. He's got a net there and he's got this here. That's what the Holy Spirit does. And then he says, "Then I'm going to be blameless." Oh, this is nice. Then I shall be blameless and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Wouldn't you want to be on that innocent? The Holy Spirit said in that doesn't mean we ever become perfect. We'll never become perfect. What that means is God is going to keep you from hurting yourself beyond what can be fixed. You know that that's one of the things where my kids were growing up teenage years. We have two girls and a boy. And I knew that in order for them to grow and mature, they're going to have to go through the thing we all go through. So rather than, oh Lord, keep him from ever smoking or keep him from ever doing pot or Lord, it was just like, Lord, whatever comes their way, I just pray that you draw a line that they will not cross the line that would hurt them beyond being able to be recuperated. That was my prayer for them. And you know, we saw that that when they would uh be going in a certain direction and when they came to that line, God would somehow speak and say, "Hey, you can't cross that line." And boom, it was like they wake up or something and something would happen. And and that I believe is what God wants from us. He's saying, "Listen to me. You're you're that's why I call it great transgression. We we we're going to make mistakes. That's how we learn. You don't know that that the that the socket uh has electricity on it. You don't know what electricity is until you stick your finger in the socket. And once you do it once, you won't do it no more. I guarantee you kids will learn quick that way. So God is going to allow you to do certain things like that. But you see, he's not going to allow you to lose your finger or to lose your life. That's that's what he's saying over here. Okay. So now that we found out how these things work, um let's go to Proverbs chapter 1 where all of the things about wisdom begins. And we're going to read Proverbs chapter 1:es 1-7. And the reason why I believe the Lord got me to to show you this is so that you can read the book of Proverbs. Proverbs is is a book of wisdom. Okay? And a lot of times to read something to have it make an an impact we have to be motivated or we have to understand you know like uh uh if somebody gives you a book to read if you don't have no motivation for it you can just probably throw it there and not read it. But if you find out that that book will tell you how to win a a free vacation to Hawaii you know and then if you start it really good there's like 99% chance you're going to get the free vacation to Hawaii. Guess what? you're going to read that book, right? That's what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to get you motivated to read because there is speech that is going forth from God. Now, Proverbs 1 through7, the proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel, to know wisdom and instruction. To perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity to give prudence to the simple. There is that word simple, to the young men, knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise cons counsel. To understand a proverb and an enigma, the words of the wise and their riddles. And then he says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction." Here he's setting up in those first seven verses, seven being the number of completion, we're given the whole heart of the book of Proverbs. He says God says, I'm going to show you. And the thing is he uses the word simple and he uses the word fool. Both of those words are dealing with people who lack spiritual knowledge, i.e. us. Okay? All of us are carnal or natural. We're born after the flesh. We have no natural spiritual understanding. God’s love, demonstrated at the cross, ensures that nothing can separate us from Him and empowers us to walk in discernment, truth, and victory. Written teaching: 1 Corinthians 12:10 “…To another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits…” Spiritual discernment is one of nine “gifts” made available to believers by the Holy Spirit for the profit of all believers. In spiritual warfare our foes are spirits, our ability to discern who these spirits are and how they operate is crucial if we are to get the upper hand in bringing deliverance to the believers who are oppressed by them. Matthew 12:43-45 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” In the above verses Jesus gives us tremendous insight into the why and the how of unclean spirits and how they operate. Also how they gain access into the individual. A wicked generation opens the door for widespread demonic infestation. The root of wickedness is idolatry, and idolatry produces iniquities. Psalm 7:14 “Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity.” Exodus 20:4-5 “You shall not make for yourself a carved (idolatry) image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me.” And the root of idolatry is hatred towards God. According to Jesus there are seven different kinds of more wicked spirits who are able to interact with the less wicked spirit that claims the body that he was exorcised from as his own house. It will be interesting to know who this wicked spirit is who is able to summon help from more wicked spirits than himself in order to take back the house (body) from which he was kicked out. Proverbs 26:24-26 “He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself; when he speaks kindly, do not believe him, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.” Idolatry in its root form is wickedness that brings forth iniquity (inherited sin) which is deeply rooted in hate, hatred of God and of everything that belongs to God. So that the primary but lesser unclean spirit that summons the seven more wicked spirits than himself after he is cast out, is the spirit of hate. He who hates harbors (summons) seven abominations in his heart (spirits) which revealed themselves as wickedness. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit (singular) of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (these eight are all manifestations of God’s love). Against such there is no law.” Our born-again spirit is conceived in love (God so loved the world). That love manifests itself in the born-again person in eight different representations of God’s love, for a total of nine. The un-regenerated spirit still belongs to God though separated from Him, so hate which is the opposite of love manifests itself in seven different ways or levels of wickedness, for a total of eight unclean spirits. Satan, the head of the demons sums up to number nine. Every demonic infrastructure is a perverted copy of the heavenly pattern. God is love and manifests His love in eight fruit, singular as in one unit. Satan cannot possess the spirit-man for it belongs to God, so his hate can only manifest itself in seven different levels of itself (hate being number eight) within an individual. These seven manifestations of hate are called abominations in the Word of God. Our ability to discern these abominably unclean spirits and their deeply rooted hatefulness is crucial in our ability to help people beset by them to be set free. This is what spiritual discernment is all about. Seven abominations which are born out of hatred towards God. 1) Proverbs 16:5 “Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; though they join forces, none will go unpunished.” Number one is the spirit of Pride. If hate is the root, clearly pride is the trunk of the tree. Pride is born out of a hateful heart. The spirit of hate masquerades itself so as not to be uncovered: Proverbs 26:24 “He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself.” One sure way to know if hate is present in the heart of the person we are helping is through the discernment of the spirit of pride. If pride is present, hate is hiding behind it, they go together like a hand in glove, and it is this lethal combination of joining forces which enables these other six unclean spirits access. 2) Proverbs 15:8 “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.” Number two is the spirit of Self-righteousness. The proud in heart will pray (sacrifice) to God in self-righteousness instead of meekness, not even aware sometimes of his own conceit. Luke 18:11-13 “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men — extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess’.” What is it that drives people to do what they do? If pride is behind it, nothing good will come out of it. 3) Proverbs 15:26 “The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, but the words of the pure are pleasant.” Number three is the spirit of Gossip and Slander. Jesus told us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We have a saying that says, the down puts down, the mind set of this spirit is to tear down with words, gossip and slander are its characteristics. 4) Proverbs 11:20 “Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, but the blameless in their ways are His delight.” Number four is the spirit of Malice. A perverse heart manifests itself through malice. It will actively seek and desire for evil things to befall others. 5) Proverbs 12:22 “Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Number five is the spirit of Bitter Envy and Self-seeking. James 3:14 “But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.” 6) Proverbs 11:1 “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight.” Number six is the spirit of Betrayal and dishonesty. Dishonesty, betrayal and untrustworthiness is the conduct that will expose this spirit. 7) Proverbs 3:32 “For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, but His secret counsel is with the upright.” Number seven is the spirit of Perversion. The person that is driven by the selfish desires of their heart (lust of the flesh), will desire to obtain the things which they see (lust of the eyes) as profitable for increasing their own status in the eyes of others (pride of life). Such a person becomes perverted, meaning a counterfeit copy of their real selves, which was originally created in the image of God. The proud heart will sacrifice whatever it takes to realize the thoughts and desires of their perverse heart, they will lie and cheat to achieve their goals. In the process they lose their original personality, which was created in them by God, and become a perversion of what they were created to be. Who would have thought that hate could produce so much evil. The sad thing is that it usually begins with hating oneself. Pride is what we use to compensate for the feelings of worthlessness, and the rest just follows. Romans 5:5 “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God put a price on the soul of man, a price so valuable that could only be measure by the intensity of the sufferings and passion of His only begotten Son for us. The precious and priceless blood that Jesus shed for us has once and for all separated the words “worthless” and “soul”. They are so far apart that they are not even in the same universe. Love and self-acceptance in the unconditional love God has for us, which He demonstrated on the cross, is the key that unlocks and opens the perverse heart and releases that hateful bird called pride. Humbly and grateful the restored heart rejoices in its new found love and acceptance, and the peace of God which passes all understanding rules and guides, faithfully comforting the emerging new person which is now being built in the image of Christ. Romans 8:37-39 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” True deliverance comes as we replace the spirit of hate with God’s love which is Spirit, and that’s the truth. Written teaching: Proverbs 18:21 New King James Version (NKJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. I used to battle depression many years ago, but I overcame it by using the power of the tongue. This is what I did: First, it took me a few weeks to figure out what was wrong with me because I didn’t know. All I knew is that I was mean to everyone around me and I didn’t want to do anything. It was so out of character for me that I began asking God what was wrong with me. Then it hit me. God showed me that I was dealing with a spirit of depression. Once I knew what was wrong, I told my husband I was going to spend time in prayer and went to my bedroom. And this is what I said out loud, “Depression, you’re not welcomed here. Go away and leave me alone.” And then I asked God to forgive me and to help me overcome this spirit. I kept praying and telling depression to get lost for several hours. I eventually went to bed that way. I kept up the words in my mind, but I laid down and finally fell asleep. The next morning, I woke up extremely achy, but I had a smile on my face. I realized that was the best I had felt in a while. Depression was gone and I began walking in joy from that day on. Every once a while depression would try to sneak up on me but guess what, I would remind it that it wasn’t welcomed as part of my life and it would go away. This tactic wasn’t something I read or heard about. It was just something I did as I was praying to God. However, Proverbs 18:21 is so true. The power of the tongue is mighty, and you need to ask yourself, ‘what am I telling myself daily’? Are you telling yourself you’re sick? Are you telling yourself you're tired? Are you telling yourself you’re poor? Are you telling yourself you’re in pain? If I were you, I suggest telling yourself what a great person you are in the Lord and begin acting on it. The sick, tired, poor, and pain will line up according to your words. And if you’re really dealing with some serious spirits, go spend time in God’s presence in your home and tell them to get lost. However, God’s timing is always perfect, and His promises remain sure despite shifting circumstances. The message emphasizes the need for prayer, unity of the Spirit, and confidence in God’s eternal refuge. Using biblical examples, Marrero encourages believers to wield the “sword of the Spirit,” remain steadfast in faith, and find joy in the unchanging promises of God. Written teaching: Joshua 1:7 “Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.” Several times the Lord tells Joshua to be strong and very courageous, for this is a critical time in the life of Joshua, and the Lord is ministering to him personally, to keep him from getting discouraged by the circumstances that he is presently facing and those which he will be facing later. We need to remember that discouragement is a spirit, and we do not fight spirits with physical weapons, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, we fight spirits with the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, and that is how we overcome them. Joshua 1:8 “This Book of the Law (the Word of God) shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” God tells Joshua that His Word, which He gave the Israelites through Moses, is an indispensable weapon that he needs to use and maintain continuously in order to overcome the spirit of discouragement. How do you fire this weapon? With your mouth! Watch what you say! We are to meditate in His Word day and night, that is how we keep our spiritual weapons clean and loaded, and we are to fire it every time that we come under attack from the enemy. If the spirit of discouragement has a favorite meal, the spirit of death would be it, for discouragement feeds on dead things like worms do. Joshua 1:2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.” Death always brings change with it, and change is something that we naturally mistrust, for with change comes another opportunity for us to fail, and in our relationship with God, having a new opportunity to fail God again in a different way, is not something that we welcome. God simply tells Joshua with five little words that, Moses My servant is dead, and with that simple, yet very powerful statement, He tells Joshua that it is time to move one and to, Arise, go over this Jordan. God is basically telling Joshua not to be afraid to cross that river that stands between him and God’s promises, and to not let the spirit of discouragement keep him from fulfilling God’s destiny for his life. From Joshua’s experience we can learn that he had plenty of opportunities to be discourage, when God took Moses to the mountain top for forty days, Joshua was kept out in no man’s land, while the children of Israel that stayed back and fell into idol worship. It is very difficult for us humans to deal with the reality of not belonging, for what we are a part of, is what helps us to identify with who we are as a person. Joshua was in a transition period for many years, kept there by God until the day came when he was to step into the new order of things that God had prepared him to fulfill. Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Perhaps the most difficult part for us to understand when we are in the midst of no man’s land, spiritually speaking, is that we are still part of the purpose and will of God, not only for our lives, but even within the will and greater purpose that Jesus has for His church. There are so many things changing right now that it is impossible for me to enumerate them all, but it is this change that is taking place right now, that is discouraging so many Christians today. We are living witnesses of the demise of western civilization. We are witnessing the death of the institution of marriage, and we are witnessing the death of the godly principles that the martyr’s of the Gospel of Jesus Christ died to secure for us. Life has become a choice as well as gender. Many churches have fallen prey to the gospel of conformity, so that the spiritual life of many churches has been drained out, leaving many of the faithful within those churches to ask this question, where has the Spirit gone? Death and change seem to be the only certainty. In order for us not to get discourage we need to keep all that is going on right now within the context of the Word of God. Remember that God promised Abraham four hundred years earlier the land that they were about to enter, and God also told Abraham that the iniquity of the inhabitants of the land had not reached its peak at that time, so that his descendants would have to wait for their inheritance before they could enter and possess the land of promise. Genesis 15:13, 16 “...Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs (Egypt), and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years...But in the fourth generation they shall return here (the land promised to Abraham), for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.” So that God’s timing precedes everything, way before Moses was born, and before Joshua was born, and before whatever circumstance arose that Joshua was facing, God had already set up the time and date for their conquest to begin four hundred years earlier. Had Joshua concentrated on the facts that his circumstances presented him with, he would have had reasons to be discouraged. But God was there to remind him to keep his eyes on the Word of God, for therein lay the promises of a God who cannot lie. 2 Timothy 3:1-4 “ But know this, that in the last days perilous (times of stress) times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” But know this: Can you hear the certainty with which Paul makes this statement about our present day condition? It helps us to know that whatever it is that is going on right now, God knew what it would be like thousands of years before it came to pass. Let us ask ourselves a few questions in regards as to what is going on today, and let us see if we can answer them within the context of what God said would take place, and what took place during the days of Joshua. Is the world as a whole and society in particular going through a radical change right now for the worst? Yes it is. Did God say that it would happen like this at the end of time? Yes He did. Is there a reason why God is letting the moral fibers of society to become undone? Yes there is. Why is God letting those things that kept us together for centuries all of the sudden become undone? Have we reached the point of conclusion? Our prayer emphasis has been for the unity of the Spirit, the more united that we become in the Spirit in our prayers, the stronger that we are at restraining the power of lawlessness. It is my belief that true Christianity does not slack in prayer in the face of discouraging news, it is the opposite, the more bad news that we hear, the greater our prayer emphasis becomes, for we know that the more that sins abound, the more that the grace of God abounds as well, so that we do not give up in our praying no matter what. I’ve then reached the conclusion that the reason why the power of lawlessness seems to be increasing it is because we are within reach of the point of conclusion, the event horizon, the point of the end. If that is the case, the death of Moses before Joshua lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land, can be likened to the death of our Judeo-Christian values before our Joshua, Jesus, leads us into our Promised Land, the resurrection and rapture of the body of Christ. Isn’t it amazing that from Christianity’s point of view death does not lead into depression but into salvation? For us Christians, natural death is welcome for as stated within His promises, Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so that as we are witnessing the death of everything that is near and dear to us, be it civil or moral, religious or traditional, the things that are dying, be it good or bad, can only mean one thing for us Christians, our blessed hope is nearer than we think. Here is the last will and testament of Moses, the servant of God, before He died and blessed the children of Israel with these promises. Deuteronomy 33:26-29 “There in no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say, ‘Destroy!’ Then Israel shall dwell in safety, the fountain of Jacob alone, in a land of grain and new wine; His heavens shall also drop dew. Happy are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord, the shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Your enemies shall summit to you, and you shall tread down their high places.” Here are some promises that will keep us from getting discouraged no matter what changes we are going through right now. Who rides the heavens to help you. We can count on His spiritual help; just this week I saw on the news how Christians are being killed and persecuted in the Middle East, and how their places of worship and homes are being burned, I saw this Christian priest forced face down to the ground before he was beheaded, and I thought to myself, what a great honor this man was given, it humbled me to the core, how God allows some of His servants to die a martyr’s death, I could just hear the cheers from heaven as he was welcome into the joy of our Lord and given a place of honor among those who have died for the faith, like apostles and prophets of old. It touched me because every night my wife and I pray for those who are being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel, and in my prayer I always pray that God would give His strength to those whom He has called to give their life as an offering to God, seeing this man, not resisting but peaceful, encouraged me to know that God always answers our prayers. The eternal God is your refuge. In the natural, those killed and those persecuted and tortured for the sake of the Gospel, might be viewed by unspiritual people as unfortunate or disadvantaged, but what does the Word of God say? Hebrews 13:6 “So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?’” Our time here on this earth is temporary, our refuge in God is eternal! Happy are you, O Israel. Happy people are people who are not discouraged. For their happiness is based on the eternal promises of God that do not change with the circumstances. The shield of your help and the sword of your majesty! Remember how God told Joshua that, This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, well, the shield of our help is the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness which cover and protect our vital parts, but we have also been given a majestic sword, and this is an offensive weapon, which we can use to execute against our spiritual enemies the will of God, to tread down and subdue the strongholds of the enemy, with the words that proceed out of our mouths, as we enforce the Word of God over our enemies. Psalm 149:6-9 “Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute on them the written judgment—this honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord!” Once we understand that if we are in the will of God, whether we are called to martyrdom, suffering, or to triumph over our enemies, it does not matter what the circumstances are, as long as we believe that we are within the will of God for our lives, no discouragement can afflict us. Nations may fall, they may rise, or nothing may end up taking place after all, it does not really matter, as long as we know that our God is in total and complete control of whatever situation we might be facing, we have peace and the assurance of His promises for us who believe. Joshua 1:5 “No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.” Go into God’s spiritual bank today, and in the name of Jesus deposit some of these promises, for they will suffice to cover for whatever debt or lack you may have that is causing you to be discouraged. For who has resisted His will?’” How do we know, when an adverse circumstance rises against us, if we are to resist it, or just accept it and endure it? Here is what I mean, if the adversity is a trial sent to us from God for the testing of our faith, we would not want to fail the test by resisting the adverse circumstance to the point where we renege our faith on His promise that if we endure trials faithfully, He will see us through them. But if it is an attack from the enemy, we want to come against it head on and defeat it, for we are told that if we submit to God and resist the devil that he will flee from us. Acts 7:51 “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.” The Scripture in Acts gives us a tremendous insight into how vital it is for our wellbeing to be able to know when we are to resist adversity, and when we are to relent and endure them. Because if we are resisting the Holy Spirit we are fighting against the will of God for our lives, and that is not going to be good for anybody. Uncircumcised in heart and ears. Circumcision is a type for the removal of the flesh from the life-giving ordinances of God, in other words, we need to remove our carnality from the decision making process. That resolves the first part of the problem. An uncircumcised ear is one that focuses on the adversity alone, and by doing so, the heart, where the decision-making process takes place, is compromised, for it cannot make an informed decision since it is only receiving one side of the adversity, we are facing, which is the pain it causes, and not what the potential benefits, if any, might be. As your fathers did, so do you. The second part of the problem is generational; resisting the will of God for our lives is embedded within our human genes, courtesy of the fall of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, the Paradise of God for us. Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden to prevent them from partaking of the fruit of the Tree of Life, for had they eaten from it in their rebelliously carnal state, they would have become like the fallen angels, unredeemable and eternally dammed forever. In God’s plan of redemption for humanity, Jesus who is the Tree of Life, hung naked on the cross to cover our nakedness with His holiness, and opened the door for us back into the Paradise of God where we can freely partake of the fruit of the Tree of Life, which is His Word/Promises. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” So that our decision-making process, concerning anything, has to be based on the Word of God instead of what the flesh is experiencing! How do we circumcise our hearts and ears? Romans 9:9 “For this is the word of promise…” We have to begin at the point of our salvation. Our salvation is the result of God’s promises to mankind. In Jesus, the Seed of the woman, all the promises of God given to us can be attained. For there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved and delivered. Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Spiritually speaking, what I am trying to say is that if we are fully persuaded that we belong to Jesus Christ, and we know for a fact that His Holy Spirit is within us, and we are convinced that He has a plan and a purpose for our lives, and that His plan and purpose is the very best for us, then nothing else really matters does it? What I’m saying is that as long as we are fully committed to His good will and great and precious promises for us, the result can never be in doubt, even if our discernment fails us at times, for as it is written: Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” What that does for us is that it takes the pressure off from our decision-making process. Hey, I don’t want to suffer a minute longer than I have to in order to obtain God’s promises for my life, for I do not enjoy suffering. But I know that if I somehow miss a turn and have to go around the block one extra time or two, it is not going to stop God from getting me there, for this is what He promised me: Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” True deliverance, or circumcision of the heart begins, when we finally cross a threshold in our hearts that says: I belong to God, and I am fully committed to His will for my life, therefore nothing is going to keep me from fulfilling His will and purpose for my life. When adversity comes our way, and our hearts are in tune with the words that Jesus speaks to us, which are spirit and truth—spiritual truth—we will know instantly if we are to resist the adversity with the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God, or if we are to relent and let the work of adversity work its way through, in the meanwhile we strengthen our faith while the persecution is crossing our path. John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” We need to remember that often times deliverance and tribulation go hand in hand. Now why is that? In the circumcision typology, the life-giving male semen gets corrupted as it comes in contact with the flesh, the foreskin, as it is spread abroad. The two-fold covenant of circumcision with Abraham was given as a type for those who were entrusted with the propagation of God’s Word, that they were to keep it from contamination. For the Jews who are the heirs of the physical promise—the Holy Land, the ritual was a physical act to be performed on every newborn Jewish boy on the eighth day. Paul infuses into the church the spiritual implication of the two-fold circumcision covenant that God made with Abraham. Colossians 2:10-13 “And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (spiritual circumcision), by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” What Paul is saying is that for those of us who are saved, being buried with Jesus in baptism at the moment of our spiritual rebirth, eight being the number that represents a new beginning, we were spiritually circumcised, as babes in Christ. We are His body here on earth, the church, and it falls upon us to broadcast or propagate His Life-giving Word to a world that is barren. But if that Life-giving Word is contaminated by the dead works of the flesh, it loses its power to raise those who are dead back to the spiritual life that was once promised to those who would believe. Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” So, going back to our opening do we relent or resist question; the adversities and tribulations we are suffering, are they caused by our losing our saltiness or is it because of our saltiness that we bear then? Your honest answer to that question will guide you into which path you need to take. If you are being trampled underfoot by men, then it is time for you to let go of the flesh that is contaminating the promises of God for your life, and keeping them from coming to full fruition in you. On the other hand, if you are being persecuted for taking a firm stand on the Word of God in this corrupt world, for salt is the antidote to corruption, then you should bear the tribulations gladly, for they are a sign of the effectiveness of your walk with Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:12-14 “Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory (your spiritual walk) and of God rests upon you. The time is short, and the decisive battle is already underway. Written teaching: 1 Corinthians 1:19 “For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.’” The twentieth century witnessed the unleashing of man’s ingenuity in such a remarkable way that life as it existed for thousands of years was radically changed forever. I could say, and not be too far off, that in the twentieth century, we, speaking of the human race, became of age. I have neither the desire nor the abilities to enumerate all the history, discoveries, and events that came together to make the twentieth century such a pivotal time in human history; from the industrial revolution to two world wars, to the splitting of the atom, and the space race that lead us into the technological age of cyber space, but I know that in all of this, God’s final plan for the human race was being intelligently crafted by divinity in accordance with what the prophets of old had foretold. Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Nothing happens on the earth unless it is first released from heaven. It does not matter how wise and learned men of old were, or how dedicated to their crafts, or how many resources they had available to them, if it was sealed in heaven, all of their human endeavors did not suffice. After Jesus rose from the dead and was taken up to heaven, He took possession of a scroll that contained written things within and on the back, that had been sealed with seven seals. Revelation 5:3 “And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.” It seems that only an immortal human of divine origin, one who could save and make other humans immortal like Himself, was qualified to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals, since its unveiling unleashes upon the human race the symphony of events that eventually propels God’s final judgments upon all human mortals. The first seal was loosed right after Jesus took possession of the scroll after arriving in heaven, it released the spirit of antichrist upon the world stage. The antichrist himself will not be revealed until that which hinders him from being revealed is removed. 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8 “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work (the spirit of antichrist has already been released); only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one (the antichrist in person) will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” The second seal was loosed from heaven during the twentieth century and that is what brought about the second world war and the technological breakthroughs that ensued. Revelation 6:3-4 “When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, ‘Come and see.’ Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth (world war II), and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword (technology).” You can probably trace the origin of many, if not most, of the technological advancements of today to the events leading to and surrounding the second world war, for that is when the unveiling of the second seal took place, according to the divine plan. If we tie the first two seals together, we get the antichrist type leading the world into a colossal war that increases human knowledge to levels not even dreamed of by the preceding generation. Revelation 6:5-6 “When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, ‘Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.’” The results of the first two seals opened the door for a new world order, something that has been the unreachable dream of the elite world luminaries for centuries, but with this open door their dreams of a revived roman empire that rules the world has become a very possible reality. In order to facilitate a one world government, they need to have a one world economy, and to achieve that they need to implement a one world financial system that regulates the world economy; according to the golden rule, he who has the gold, makes the rules. Revelation 13:17 “And that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” We are in the midst of the unveiling of the third seal right now, it is taking place before our very eyes. All the pieces are falling rapidly into place awaiting the unveiling of the fourth seal that will feature a war over one fourth of the earth, the invasion of Israel by a northern confederacy. Israel is the last obstacle that stands between them, those who think they own the earth, and their dreams of declaring earth’s independence from the rule of God. It is all spiritual, since Satan was thrown out of heaven he has been looking for a place to call home; the earth belongs to the Lord, but man has been given dominion over it, the devil has duped, through the spirit of pride, those who think they can run the earth better than God, through the agency of human intelligence, for they truly think that they know better than God how to run the earth. 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” All the spirits know that if you are going to rule the world you have to do it through the agency of a human man, that is why the Word of God had to become flesh, in order to infuse into humanity’s mind the wisdom that comes from God, the wisdom that redeems, sets apart for God, and makes right with God those who choose allegiance with God. Revelation 13:2 “...The dragon gave him (a human being, the antichrist) his power, his throne, and great authority.” The spiritual battle that rages now in the heavens will be fought here on the earth by the human Son of God who is indwelled by the Spirit of the living God against the spirit of Satan, the dragon, that will one day be revealed in the human antichrist. It will be a one sided battle: Whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. This is the truth that brings the awakening, and it is what the first chapter of first Corinthians is all about, whose wisdom are you going to trust? 1 Corinthians 1:20 “Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” How did God make foolishness out of the wisdom of this world? He told them ahead of time what was going to happen, when it was going to happen, and how it was going to happen. Nothing happened without His hand allowing it to happen first. These empty headed illustrators really think that they’ve actually thought of all these things and that they have created by the power of their own intellectual prowler. 1 Corinthians 1:21 “For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” Imagine the simplicity of the message that was preached confounded the wisdom of the wise and brings to us an awakening to the revelation of what God is doing in our present time. 1 Corinthians 1:25-26 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.” And here is the reason why God does it this way. 1 Corinthians 1:29 “That no flesh should glory in His presence.” I believe that we are now ready to experience the great spiritual awakening that the prophets of old predicted for the last days. Humanity has been sold a bill of goods that predicted that man’s salvation was going to come as the result of technological advances. Knowledge is power, in God’s case, knowledge of Him and of His Word brings liberty to those who live and practice His Word. Knowledge of the populace in the hands of the world gives the world the power to enslave the masses. Everything about us today is known to the government, and that knowledge has been used already to deprive many Americans of their constitutional rights. But the majority of that knowledge awaits for the restraining power to be removed, as prophesied by Paul, so that it can be used to coerce, intimidate, and blackmail law abiding citizens into conformance with their new world order. If you did not believe in the past that what had been foretold by the Word of God was possible, do you believe it now? Are you awake yet? Better hurry, there is not much time left. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we thank you for your blessings on it. We pray for your anointing on it. We pray that we have the hearts open to receive and to believe and to demonstrate your love in doctrine to show what true salvation is. and that basics of the salvation that we now know belongs to you and is of you and only you, Father God. So, let us have the heart to demonstrate that love so that we can bless others with the gift of salvation that you've given us, Lord. In the glorious, wonderful name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God. Amen. Before I begin here, I we're in the process of getting ready to move and move to Missouri. So, we will be moving probably the end of June. So, we're gonna have open house here soon. So, there's changes going on all around here. So, anyways, I'm hoping that you guys uh the sound quality and the lighting is okay. It's going to be a little echoey. And then, of course, I've got the door open because it's a beautiful spring day. The temperature, I believe, is um like it was 69 or 70 degrees earlier, so very, very pleasant. So, anyways, let's get into it. Let's go to our opening scripture here. Psalm 38. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon your people. Hallelujah. Your salvation belong salvation belongs to the Lord. You know, it is so amazing how we want to take salvation to the next level. Take a look at the Philippines and they're going to be doing this right about this time of the year because we're coming into uh resurrection day next Sunday. This is Palm Sunday. And what they do is they actually put themselves up on a cross and they they crucify themselves. although they live through it, they take them down before they there's serious harm. But the point is is they feel the need to be able to demonstrate what Jesus did. Every one of us has something where we want to do something for God or we we feel that we need to do something for our salvation. Well, you know what? I'm going to tell you biblically speaking, there's nothing we can do. It's all God's salvation. Now, if we want to choose to live for Christ, that's that's what we can do. And I hope I can encourage that and bring that across to you in this message. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you two men that were saved by Jesus and show you how the salvation works and how you can receive. Amen. So, we're going to start here at the cross actually for Palm Sunday. Isn't that amazing? We're in Luke 23:39-43. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us." But the other answering rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise." Oh, how beautiful this demonstration of salvation is. So, what I want to show you is is compare this to some doctrines that exist out there. Now, I am not going to name doctrines. I am not going to bring any of that here. You're already familiar with it. either you've taught it or you've heard it taught to you or you tr you live by it right now. Well, we're going to show you some of the basics and compare the scripture to doctrine. So, if you notice here, there was something very very neat here that this man did. So, you've got this one criminal. Okay? So, here's Jesus. He's on the cross and he's got two other people on the side of them. Now, they're being this is a curse. So these two criminals got caught uh as thieves. They were stealing and they got caught and they were being crucified with Jesus. So the three of them are being killed at the same time. This is how they do that back in those days. And this one criminal starts mocking God while he's up on the cross. And the the the criminal that defends Jesus says, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you're under the same condemnation? We're all in the same boat here. What do you think is gonna happen next? Yeah. In other words, you better get your mind right with God now because you're about to die. But this guy's mocking Jesus like it's no big deal. But you know, he he you know what this criminal does is he defends Jesus because what does he do next? He says, "Hey, we're the ones, look at this, he confesses his sins. He says, "We indeed justly for we receive the due rewards of our deeds." In other words, we deserve to die. We were criminals. So, he confesses this right here. And then he goes even further to say, "But this man has done nothing wrong. He defended Jesus." And he recognized something here because look what he says next. Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And then Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today you will be with me in paradise." This man, this thief, this criminal, a confessed criminal gets saved by the salvation, the grace and the mercy that Jesus has for us. He is saved. That is absolutely incredible. So what? Let's compare it to doctrine. Now, did he get water baptized? No. Did he get baptized by the Holy Spirit? No. Did he get off the cross, go door to door knocking on people's doors to be saved? There's no scripture to support that at all. He did not get back off that cross. He died. He died on that cross with Jesus. He was saved and he wasn't There's a lot of doctrine that tells you you have to be baptized by the Holy Spirit or or waterbaptized to be saved. That's not true. That is not scriptural. That is the enemy sneaking things in there because man, human want to put rules and regulations in place where Jesus says, "All I'm asking you to do is confess and defend." Hallelujah. So, this is where the basic of salvation is. It's at this level where all you've got to do is defend Jesus and confess that you're a sinner and you need him. You see, this is what this man on the cross did. And he got saved. And he never went and lived for Christ. He never had the opportunity to do any of that. And in essence, he was saved by the hair on his chinny chin chin. Hallelujah. So now there's another man that went through the same thing. And this is found in John nine. So I'm going to go through John nine, the bulk of the chapter, but just in pieces as we talk about it. But I encourage you again, do some homework and read about this whole man's life here in John chapter nine. Amen. So let's go. We're going to start here in John chapter nine. We're looking at verses 1-5 in the beginning here. So now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. Look at what his disciples did. And his disciples asked him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" So pause here for a moment. It is a known fact. And it is scriptural that the consequence of sin are diseases and sicknesses inside our bodies. In fact, that's what kills us. We're dying. So even though we're aging, we're going to eventually die due to age. But that corrupts the flesh. Aging corrupts the flesh. So here, this man was born blind. So everyone thinks what is natural somebody sinned and cause causes to happen. Jesus says, "Not look at this." He says, "Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents did, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." So Jesus says, "This was done on purpose. Oh, imagine this man. Oh, you thinking about the beginning of your lives and the woe woe is me. Wo was that because I have no in fact I don't think he wasn't just blind. I think he was born without eye sockets altogether. But either way here this man spin and I he's a young man. Uh I'm guessing somewhere's around the age of 20 and he is just he he's been born this way. And so Jesus decides to heal him. He he mixes clay. Go read the scripture. I'm not going to bring these scriptures out, otherwise it'll be too long of a message. But he takes the clay, spits in it, puts it on his eyes, and tells him to go wash. The man washes, and voila, he's got eyes. He can see. Now, let's look what happened next because wow, you would think this is an absolute wonderful miracle. Who cares who did it? No, no, no. This is like uh let's get into scripture. Uh, let's not get uh go down a rap trail here. Verse 13, they brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. This is now this is what I was going to say. When you go into, let's say, the government grills like recently the CEO of Tik Tok. So, they go after you don't think this, don't you? This is Satan. That's what the Pharisees and the Sadducees are doing. And you know what? It's nothing new under the sun. They're still doing it today. But anyways, let's come back and look at this. It says, "Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes." Rule. There's a rule in place. I'm gonna pause here for just a quick moment because I need you to hear this. Take a look at all the denominations that exist in the world today. Take a look at all the denominations that have existed in the past but don't exist today or how dead they are today. Why? because they put rules in place that they could not allow themselves to accept the new wine from God because God just explained the basics of salvation. And here the church is trying to tell you we have to do this, you have to do that, you and no, salvation is confession and defending Jesus. The basics is there. You get saved just by doing that. Yes, we want people to live for God. Yes, you have a calling on your life. Yes, you have blessings and promises that you can grab on to and hold to because that's what God tells his people that are saved. Then you make that choice to do that. But that's not a requirement to get into heaven. Understand that. Understand that big difference here. And I want you to see that. Now, let's continue on here. He says it was the Sabbath. So verse 15, then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, he put clay on my eyes and I washed and I see. Therefore, some of the Pharisees says, "This man is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath." There's that rule again. Others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such things?" And there was a division among them. So one, they think Jesus is a sinner because we're all sinners. So they didn't see him as a son of God. They missed that. Two, they had these rules and regulations in place that, oh, don't you dare hear. This man's been blind for 20 years. What the rule is? You got to wait one more day because you can't do it on the Sabbath. Well, you know what? This man needs relief now. He needs healing now. He might not make it to the next day. So, you can see how hard the Pharisees and the Sadducees are. And you can compare that to some churches and some doctrines. So you have to be very careful. Now that doesn't mean you go and accuse them and hate them or do a bad review on them. No. What you do is you go to God. Say, "God, these people need a change. Help them. Open their eyes to see." You see, now you start doing p prayer. And prayer is so powerful. It changes things like that. This is why we have revivals from time to time because the Lord is pouring out a new wine in that person who finally lets go of all the restrictions. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on and see what what else happens here. So now the Pharisees go. So now they're going to go ask the parents about this blind man. Look at this. His parents answered them, said, "We know that our that this is our son and that he was born blind. But by what means he now sees, we do not know. Or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself." His parents said these things because they feared the Jews. For the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that he was Christ the Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue. Now, you see what's going on here? Christ the Messiah. They're now saying, "This guy's not the Messiah. He's not the son of God. And if you dare say he is, we're kicking you out of the synagogue." So these parents are like, "Well, let's put it back. Go back and talk to our son. We don't know what happened. We weren't there." So here the Pharisees are grilling, grilling, grilling. They went after the parents. Guess what? They go back to the the the blind man. Look at this. This is verse 24. So they again called a man who was blind and said to him, "Give God the glory. We know that this man is a sinner." And he answered and said, "Whether he's a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know that though I was blind, I now see." Then they said to him again, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?" He answered them, "I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?" Okay, this kid, young man, has defended Christ. Notice he's not a believer. He doesn't know who Jesus is. He has not confessed his sins. He has not done anything that he is defending Jesus because he was healed. And these Pharisees are making a mockery of it. And he says, "No, no, no, no." And then he goes, "What is it? What's wrong with you? Do you want to be his disciple?" Oh, I promise you that ticked them off. They're livid. Now, let's continue and see what else happens here. Verse 34. Now, they answered and said to him, "You are completely born in sins and are you teaching us because he went back and he was sharing what Jesus did and he's telling them what's going on." And now they're mad. You're trying to teach us. We're the ones who know what's going on. Yeah, right. They don't. They're missing the whole point. Look at this. And they cast him out. So now they cast him out completely. He's out of the synagogue. You must be a believer in Christ because you're not part of us because you broke the rules and you shouldn't have been healed. I mean, that's the reality of what these guys are saying. What a joke these Pharisees and Sadducees are. This is why Jesus called them a brood of vipers. Oh man. Oh, I would have been standing there next to him applauding. But I live today and I didn't live then. So, and this is hindsight of course as I see this. Let's continue on and see what happens. Now, Jesus heard, this is verse 35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out. And when he found him, so he went and found the blind man. Says, when he found him, he said to him, "Do you believe in the son of God?" Now, look at watch this dialogue. Watch what this blind man who's now seeing says. He says, he answered and said, "Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?" And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen him, and it is he who is talking with you." Then the blind man said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped him. He was saved. He believed. He believed that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He had been talking to him. He asked Jesus directly. Jesus answered him directly, "You're talking to the son of God." "Well, then I believe." So, he confessed. Well, he defended Jesus first as a non-confessor, then he confessed Jesus and he believed. Look at what Paul says about in Romans, Romans 10:9, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I've taught so much on that message, that verse alone. It is incredible. But there's the basics of salvation. That is what I'm talking about. He confessed, he believed, and he was saved. So now you see these two men, one on the cross, and one here in everyday life that was blind, got healed. And by the way, he was healed and he wasn't a believer. Please understand, you don't need to be healed and be a believer, too. You You don't. God wants to heal everybody. and he will because that's what he wants to do. He wants to bless you. He wants to bring you into the fold that sometimes some people need a healing in order to believe. Now look at what John says in the epistle 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, but because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love. When you're trying to teach by a doctrine that goes against the very basics of the scriptures, you're pouring terror and fear into the people. And let me give you a word of advice. People nowadays are so desensitized by everything that's going on and they're playing all these video games. Fear does not affect them anymore. But look at the epistle here. He says, "There is no fear in love." Imagine. I get it. There are some people that will never live for Christ. That's okay. As long as they believe that Jesus is the son of God and confess that they're a sinner, they're saved. Wouldn't it be better to get them saved that way? Even if they choose not to live for Christ, to get them saved that way, we can have less people go to hell. I do not wish anyone to go to hell. This is why I'm trying to teach this message because I'm hoping that eyes will open and ears will hear. I rather they get saved even if they choose not to live for Christ. By the way, choosing to live for Christ is a choice. You choose whether you want to do that or not. And that's up to you and God. Now, I encourage you to choose to live for God because there are promises and blessings where one, when you're spending time with God, you're not in sin. Sin runs because you're in the presence of God. Two, there are no sicknesses in the presence of God, which means you're healed. These are the blessings and the promises you get to live and you have the blessing of a long life. You can go years living for Christ and be so content with God, be at peace and have that joy, all that that that stuff that surpasses every everybody's understanding. And they're going to look at you and they're going to see you as a walking testimony. That is how you minister and show them the love of God so they can believe. Cuz right now the world is hard and selfish and they're living in darkness. When they see you different, they come back and say, "Wow, what is it that you have?" When they ask, you get to tell them who you have. The precious gem of Jesus. Let me share you, share him with you. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on in Hebrews 13:es 8 and 9. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. You see, we eat spiritual food when you're in the word of God. But when you're eating the world's food, you're not in the presence of God. And so what happens is you're and here's another promise and a blessing that you have. You get to see false doctrine when you're spending time with God. So when you're not though, you can get easily confused and dissuade. And I I encourage you to spend time with Christ. But it takes just confession and just defending him as the son of God, declaring Jesus Christ as the son of God. And let me just also tell you another blessing here. Salvation is coming to an end. This age, this era that we're in, which is called the dispensation of grace, is ending. We have what's called a seven-year tribulation period coming in for the Israelites because God is not done dealing with the Israelites. Well, on day one, known as the day of the Lord or the day of wrath, that day, salvation ends. I don't know what time. I don't know where it's going to be on that day, but what I do know is that when you enter into the seven-year tribulation, if you do not call Jesus as the son of God, you will most likely die in that seven-year tribulation. Why? Because men that survive it will be finer than gold over gold. I'm guessing it's going to be less than 10 people that survive the seven-year tribulation, just like the days of Noah. Noah, there was eight of them. That's all they survived. And that's all God needed to repopulate the earth. And he will repopulate the earth for the thousand-y year millennium. So, this is very, very key, very important. You're most likely going to die during that seven-year tribulation, but you can't avoid it. So, before that day or on that day, as long as you declare that Jesus Christ is the son of God and you believe, you're saved. that and confess and let God know you're a sinner. Let him know you messed up. It's okay because guess what? We were all born into sin and we've all messed up. And some of us have done worse things than others. That's still okay because God Jesus has love for you that is so abounding, so bountiful that he just he loves you so much. He wants to save you no matter what. Amen. He wants to save you no matter what. This is how God moves. And this is how you can avoid hell. Amen. Amen. Amen. Oh, I I encourage you. Confess and defend Jesus right now. Hebrews 4 1-6. I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Now, I want you to see the difference about walking with Christ and choosing Christ as your Lord and Savior for the rest of your life. That the man on the cross did not get to have that opportunity. But I'm telling you, his death might have been a little more peaceful than the other one. He had a mental stability that held him together as he went through that, whereas the other man didn't. This is how it is when you choose to live for Christ first. You put him first in your life. Look at what happens. Look at the what is our worthy of calling here with which you were called. Look at verse two. With all loneliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. You see how God changes the inside of us? We become like him. Longsufferers. We see the frustration of the world. But love them. You do it in love with in bearing with one another in love. Look at verse three. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit just as you were called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, one Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all. Hallelujah. The moment you do this, God, you allow him to change you. You allow the spirit of God, the breath, the numa to move you in ways. He moves your conscience. He changes it. You're no longer selfish. You're no longer living to the world because you put God first and you get his promises and benefits as a result of that. That is the God we serve. Hallelujah. Let's continue in verse seven. But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore, he says when he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and he gave gifts to men. Now, verse nine. Now, this he ascended, what does it mean that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? God came down for you, knowing full well you're dirty, stinky, and you're in sin. But he came down anyways. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He who descended is also the one who ascended far above the heavens that he might fill all things. He ascended. He rose from the dead. He is alive and well. This is why we celebrate Palm Sunday and resurrection day because he came out of that grave. He is not dead and no other religion can say that about anyone. This is the relig. This is Christianity is not a religion. It it is a um something that offends so many people and causes strife and division which Jesus said that's why I came that the world might be saved. Hallelujah. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. You see, you have a calling on your life. Now, you can choose to walk away. It is your choice. Isn't that even more better? You have the choice. And know that God is there for you. He will keep you. Now, he will send you curses. He will even send you the devil to get your attention if you far you stray far off the path. He will go after you. He ain't giving up on you. Amen. And look at verse 12. For the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And that's exactly what we need to be doing, edifying one another, encouraging one another, lifting up one another. And imagine you getting edified by somebody else. And you're working under unity, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Do you know that when you go into the beginning of Acts and you read how the first church started? They started under the direction of the Holy Spirit, not a pastor. So today's church isn't even set up right yet because God is getting ready to pour out his new wine skin. And the anointing of the Holy Spirit is getting everybody ready. He's getting the bride of Christ ready. So we're going to have this new wine skin on us. And our master is the Holy Spirit. We're going to be move. And what's the spirit? That's the breath that moves us. That's what changes our conscience, our soul. And because it moves us and changes us, we get ready to edify and go into ministry to save more because there's a lot of people in this world. Amen. Let's continue on there because that is very powerful. Uh till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God to a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That is verse 13. By the way, I left off the one. My humble apologies. Verse 14. That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. but speaking the truth in love may grow up in all things into him who is the head Christ from whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies according to the effective working by which every part does its share causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Do you see that the love there? How that is such a critical ingredient to moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So here church and I do speak to the bride of Christ. Stop trying to terrorize people to get saved. Show them the love because the love will cast out fear. Perfect love will draw them in. You know honey draws in more than you will ever know. They want people are craving love. Look at people who walk around with help animals or um anyways the animals that do help them. Uh they need that because they feel insecure and they need an animal to be there. Well, in Christ you don't need an animal. You need Christ. And with Christ, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. There is no fear. It is perfect love. And when people see you acting, operating, moving, and speaking those words, they humble themselves and they they're like, "How do I get that? That's how you minister. That's how you get them saved." And as we're evangelizing, this is how we do it. Through his perfect love. Oh, hallelujah. Look at in Titus 3:4. But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward men appear, toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness. And by the way, it says, "But when the kindness and the love of God, our savior toward man appeared." That is Jesus. That is Jesus going to the cross. That is when he appeared. Like it says here, not by works of righteousness, which we have done because that's what we do. We try to do things in righteousness by mankind. I got the right way, Lord. No, you don't. Let the Holy Spirit do it because I can't save anybody. it. I can't do that. Why? Because it is the spirit. It's not by might. It's not by power. But it is by my spirit, says the Lord. Hallelujah. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. This is what he did on the cross. And he did it with perfect love. That is the love example that we should do. We should sacrifice our time for people. We should sacrifice our food to help people. This is how you live in love for Christ. You demonstrate the love of God and you move in that because the anointing of the Holy Spirit is the numa, the power, and he moves through you, causing you. If you see somebody who is walking around outside of a gas station, they look lost and confused, missing a shoe, they look homeless, and they probably stink. Go to them. They need your help. If they don't want to take it, you pray for them and you keep praying for them until they're saved. That is how this works. And you've got the power prayer. You're more powerful than our government. Your prayer is more powerful than our government. You're the more powerful person as the as a person saved by Christ. So take up your promises and your blessings and pray them forth not just for yourself but for others who need it so that they can confess and defend Jesus as their Lord and Savior and become believers and choose to walk for Christ. Hallelujah. What a beautiful blessing of a message this is. We are blessed by having the word of God, the holy living word of God, the Bible, as our doctrine. And we're not getting mixed up and confused. As long as you put that helmet of salvation on, snap it under your chin, it ain't going anywhere. And the devil's doctrine won't enter your brain. Hallelujah. Oh, how I encourage you to stand up for love and stand up for the Messiah, the son of God. confess Jesus as the son of God because he is. And then tell him, "Yeah, I know you're the son of God and I'm told that you can save. I'm asking you to save me because I'm a sinner." Oh, hallelujah. That is saving people. And I hope that you begin to do it and be bold and do it with confidence. Look at the boldness of the thief on the cross. Lord, remember me when you enter your kingdom. And Jesus says, "I promise you, I will see you at paradise tonight." Oh, how precious and beautiful salvation is. And I truly hope that each and every one of us can put aside what we think is doctrine and righteousness and the proper way to get people saved and just simply say, "Jesus is the son of God and I was a sinner. He saved me." That's what confession is all about. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for opening our eyes and ears to see and hear. We thank you. We pray and ask for your perfect love to reside in us. That we may demonstrate that love and that we may be able to get people saved even if it's just by the skin of their teeth or the hair on their chinny chin chin. Lord, we thank you for your living word. We thank you for the confession that you've given us, the the free gift that you've given us by going and redeeming us and saving us by the blood of Jesus. By your blood on that cross, thank you. Thank you for the remission of sins. Lord, we are saved. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for showing us how to walk with you, how to sa be saved, and how to put our words to good youth use. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. This message is called the difference between salvation and living for Christ. This is a very knowledgeable word from the Lord and I'm hoping that you're, you know, I know this. You're not here by accident. So, I'm hoping that you watch this video in its entirety and be blessed by it as much as I am because God loves you and he's been trying to get your attention. Amen. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for the blessing and the anointing of your word. And we thank you for the knowledge of your word that the more that we spend time with you, the more we understand your word. And I'm praying and asking that the audiences and the people who listen to this choose to walk in your salvation and that they choose to live for you for their entire lives. In the glorious name of Jesus, we bless you and honor you. Amen and amen. Amen. Amen. Let's get into it. We have two opening scriptures here today. The difference between salvation and living for Christ. First opening scripture, Psalm 37:39. But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord. He is their strength in the time of trouble. He that is our God is the God of salvation. And unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. Amen. Amen. So, we're going to be talking about the difference between salvation and living for Christ because they are two different things. Now, I have taught on this type of subject in different messages in different ways throughout all the years I've been teaching. Uh but I really want to show it to you in this parable because Jesus is making a very important distinction in this parable. And then one thing that I realize that I have the revelation of here in this is anytime anyone ever teaches on the the uh the topic of salvation in and of itself, we always leave out the Holy Ghost, which is what I've done in the past. Not anymore. I got this revelation and now we're going to talk about it in its rightness. Amen. Amen. And I'm excited about it and I hope that you are too. So here I want you to see this again. Salvation of the righteous is of the Lord. And then look, God is the God of salvation. First of all, let me make a very important point here. Salvation isn't something you have to do. It isn't something you handle. It isn't something that you is up to you. It's not up to you. Salvation comes from the Lord. He's going to save whom he wants to save. Amen. And if he's choosing you, you will find this out because what's happening is the Holy Spirit is speaking to you in the background. So to share a little bit of my testimony, I have shared this before, but I was coming down some stairs or going up, I think I was coming downstairs many, many years ago. This is 30 something years ago. And uh we had moved away and we were out in a new area. We hadn't found a church, hadn't been to a church. So um the Holy Spirit though, I could hear the rushing waters behind my ears. I could hear it in my head and it was like behind me and I could hear a voice in these rushing waters and it was um telling me go to church, go to church. It was getting louder and go to church. And I mean, and I um totally fighting it when it dawn, you know, I finally just got fed up because this is how he was nagging me so much. But I finally got fed up and I stomped my foot down, put my hands on my hip, turned around and said, "I don't need to go." And it dawned on me at that moment. Wait, what was I doing? And I thought, uhoh, I was talking to the Holy Spirit. And if I had continued with that statement and fought that statement, I would have been blaspheing the Holy Spirit. We're going to talk about that here in just a moment. But I want you to see in these key scriptures here, the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord. He that is our God is the God of salvation. I want you to and look at what he says here. And unto God the Lord belong the issues from death. And that's what we're talking about here is life after death. That's what salvation is all about. Now, remember the thief on the cross. I've already taught on that. I'm not going to teach on that. You can go back to previous script uh teachings I've done on that. But the thief on the cross, he never got down. He never worked for his salvation. He never went doortodoor. He never uh ministered to anyone. He never produced fruit. But he he still made it into the kingdom of heaven. He he Jesus said, "Today you will be with me in paradise." So when Jesus was crucified, the thief was crucified, they ended up together in paradise. Jesus chose to save him. Will he choose to save you? Yes. Because he loves you. And you think, well, all the things that Well, we've all been born into sin. That's the thing here. We were all born or conceived in sin. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. It doesn't matter if you killed somebody or if you're a goody tush or if you were raised in Christ. It does not matter. We've all sinned and we've all fallen short of the glory of God. We've we've lied. We've cheated. These are things that we do. We do stupid things because we're humans and that we were born into sin. That's what the mercy of Jesus is. He redeemed us. He pardoned our sins so much so that he will forgive you of anything. Wait, is there scripture on that? Well, you bet you. Let's go look at it. This is awesome. Matthew 12:31 and32 verse 31. Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men. Wait a minute. All manner of sin and blasphemy. You can do what you want to do. Jesus is going to forgive you no matter what. That's what the scriptures just said. That's what they told us. But the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Let's pause there for a minute. Wait a second. So, what you're saying is that if I'm let's say on my that testimony I shared earlier, if I'm at those stairs and I turned around and I said I don't need to go to church and I just walked off and said no, no, no, no, no. That's blaspheming the Holy Spirit. That is saying no. That is rejecting him. Now, watch what it says in verse 32. And whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man, it shall be gi forgiven him. meaning against Jesus or against those who live in Christ. Anyone who says a bad thing against me, guess what? You're forgiven. Why? Because I choose to forgive you. But more importantly, Jesus forgives you. The power of forgiveness is so awesome. And and I have been teaching on this for the last few months. And if you haven't caught on to that, oh, wait till I get the prayers up here for January with the new prayers that we're going to be implementing here. You guys are going to be blessed by the power of God moving by your tongue and you don't even even realize it. But the power of forgiveness moves God. And when he moves, he moves heaven and earth for you. That's see he's redeeming you. He's pardoning you. He will forgive you of anything and everything. Now let's finish. Let's finish the scripture. So verse 32. And whosoever speaketh the word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven you. But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Now I want to make a distinction here. Now on that stage on that my stairs in that testimony I just shared, even if I had rejected him at that moment, guess what? I had prayed and confessed Jesus as my Lord and Savior many years before that. Now, do you think the Holy Ghost would have continued to come after me? Yes. He would have kept pestering me. And if that didn't work on the stair, the stairs, I think I would have had a dream or an embodimenting vision or something that would have snapped me out of it because God will not lose one. Jesus will not lose one. You see, he is not an Indian giver. And anyone who's racist by that statement, I am sorry. But that is what I know of what I grew up with. What we called a person who would give a gift and then take it back. Jesus is not like that. Jesus is the son of God and he will forgive and forgive and continue to forgive no matter how many times you do the same thing over and over again. This is why he told Peter you will forgive 70* seven. It is an infinite number of forgivenesses for that same incident. And then of course we have more than that one instinct. We keep sinning. We're all messed up, man. But there is a way to live for Christ and we can live in godliness and holiness and righteousness, but we still have the cover of our flesh on us. So I'm going to show you the distinction of that. Now, what I want you to understand here very very importantly here is that as long as you confess, now I know people disagree with once saved always saved because see we're talking two different things here. We're talking salvation. We're not talking about living for Christ. Think of it like this. How many people try to live for Christ, but they do not have the Holy Spirit? They did not confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior, but they're mimicking and they're technically wolves in sheep's clothing. And you could only tell by their fruit, which is dead. Nothing happens from them. They prayed for people, nothing happens. They teaches the audiences walk away oblivious. Can't even remember what you taught. That is the distinct difference between a believer in Christ living for Christ versus a unbeliever and unbeliever serving or trying to serve Christ without acknowledging Christ as their Lord and Savior. Remember Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, that's the key. There are out teachers out there trying to teach you that there is no salvation prayer. There is Romans 10:9 identifies it. Confess with your mouth. You got to say it out loud. The name of Jesus and he will be over you. That's your salvation. And that you saved him. Remember the thief in the cross? That's all he did. He acknowledged Jesus was innocent. He said, "I'm a sinner. He's innocent." And he was saved. That's all salvation is, my friend. That's it. Now, if years later you're going on and the Holy Spirit's trying to get your attention because he wants you to walk with him because he wants you in ministry. You see, Paul describes it very clearly. He knows a part. I know a part. Different pastors know different parts. Imagine if all of us got together in unity. And you can look at the power of unity in the scripture. It is awesome. I'm not going to go there. You can go search that. Go look at um um the Tower of Babel, okay? When the power of unity came together, they can almost do anything. God had to intervene to stop that. The power of unity, when we're all under the leadership of the Holy Spirit is awesome. You see, now walking in Christ, we follow his leadership. We may not know what everybody else is doing, but we will know all the parts that we've heard. and the Holy Spirit will put us in place to be in ministry with all those parts we heard. Now, there are people who aren't doing their parts. So, we're missing those parts. So, in essence, we're a a kingdom of God that's limping along because not everybody is doing their parts, which is living for Christ. Oh, this is awesome. I hope you guys get this. Now, I want to show this in a parable that Jesus said. I want to read the whole thing. I want to read it. So, we're going to be looking at Matthew chapter 20. We're going to start in verse one. We're going to go to verse 16. He says, "For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard." The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are interchangeably used in scripture in the gospels. And you will see that throughout the New Testament, it is interchangeably used. When Jesus says, "Well, the kingdom of God is at hand." Meaning, he was there. there. The kingdom of God was there. All the kingdom of God represents is the power of God moving in that moment, healing that person, helping that blind person see, delivering that person of demons, um saving somebody, uh healing them of cancer or sicknesses and diseases. That is the kingdom of God. So this is what Jesus is saying. The kingdom of God is like or the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder which went out early in the morning to hire laborers into his vineyard. And when he had agreed with the laborers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. So God hires us to live for Christ and he's going to pay us a penny a day. This is the parable. And I want you to catch this because we when you go to work in the ministry of Christ, you are hired by God. He's not going to put he's going to train you. He's you're going to go through this walk and transformation in your life that's going to change you so dramatically that now he's going to be putting you in places that ministers to people with the circumstances you overcame because you've been walking with God. This is how God works. Okay. Verse three. And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace and said unto them, "Go ye also into the vineyard and whatsoever is right I will give you." and they went their way. Okay? So, he hires more laborers. So, if there's someone who, let's say, I'm living for Christ, I've been doing it now for a handful of years, and then let's say just before the rapture happens, someone else becomes a believer in Christ, starts living for Christ, starts ministering to people, and then the rapture happens, and our duty is done. Wait, they only had an hour's work. I got a full day's work. But they got paid the same as me. Watch this parable. This is so awesome. So good. And again, again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour and did likewise. And about the 11th hour he went out and found others standing idally idol. And said unto them, why stand ye here all the day idle? They say unto him, because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right that ye shall ye receive. So when even was come, the Lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, call the laborers and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. So now the 11th hour, he hired someone at the last minute, which is what I was just referring to a bit. So you've got all these laborers doing the exact same work, but some did it more and longer than others. Some might have done it better than others. Some might have did it harder than others. Some more me more like uh union. So, but this is the whole point of this. So, now Jesus is going to give everybody their wages. So, watch this. Uh verse 9. And when they came that were hired about the 11th hour, they received every man a penny. They got the same gift as someone who started at six o'clock in the morning. Wait a second. Wait a second. Let's look at Let's go on. Verse 10. But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more. And they received and they likewise received every man of p. So everybody got the same thing. And yes, the early morning ones said, "Wait a minute. We should get more." But look what Jesus says. And when they received it, they murmured against the good men of the house, saying, "These last have wrought but one hour, and thou has made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and the heat of the day." But he answered one of them, and said, "Friend, I do thee no wrong. D not thou agree with me for a penny? Take thine take that thine is and go thy way. I will give unto the last even as unto thee. You see, he agreed to pay them a penny. They agreed to that penny. They started at six o'lock in the morning. When you become saved and you confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior and that change takes place in you and you transform and you go right into ministry, that is you going in in the morning. That is somebody who starts in the morning and then somebody on their deathbed confesses they never minister to Christ. The thief on the cross is an example. They barely get saved at the last hour, but they receive the same blessing as those that minister. That thief on the cross got the same thing Paul the apostle got. And what did what did Paul go through? Beatings. He was martyed eventually. But he he was he was hurt so much in his ministry. He was in chains and bondage and he never really got to live the freedom of his life because he chose to die for Christ. That was his choice. Well, that thief on the cross got the same blessings Paul got. And you think, is that fair? Wait a second. What's the price here? Heaven. You don't want hell. You see the difference now? You see, the confession is what's going to get you in. Living for Christ is a whole another ball game. And there are rewards that come to those that sacrifice. If you take a look at the end of Revelation, it talks about the martyrs being the first resurrected with their bodies. They are blessed with that promise. They are going to be the ones that are going to judge and rule over the thousand-y year millennium. Okay? That's their blessing. They died for cross because or for Christ because they're martyrs. Whereas some of us may never ever have that opportunity or that blessing, but we will be given other things. So there are differences, but that's not salvation. That's not getting into heaven. And I'm going to tell you right now, some people will confess. They will walk away. And they will choose to live their life the way they've been living it. Why? Well, cuz they want to. We're not here to force anybody to do anything against their will. And if they want to be saved, let them be saved. If they don't want to live for Christ, then don't let them don't try to force them. Don't try to lie to them. Don't try to cheat them. Let them know they're saved. Let them know they're loved. Because we do not teach with a spirit of fear here. We're not trying to be fear-mongerers to the people out there to say, "Well, if you don't live for Christ, just in case, you better." No, that that's wrong teaching. And that is not biblical teaching in the name of Jesus. No. We need to really show the love of God. If they don't want to live for Christ, fine. The Holy Spirit's going to work on them. Now, they will have consequences. If you're now, if you're in ministry and somebody's coming to you and they got cancer or somebody died and then another person died and they've got the spirit of death all around them, this is consequences because the Holy Spirit has been trying to get their attention to be in ministry because that's their cult. God chose them. Jesus has chosen them. He wants them in their ministry. But they keep rejecting. No, no, no. And well, they continue to do that. Then they have all these curses against them. and my testimony because I chose Christ. I've got blessings and blessings abundantly in my life. There is a difference. Okay? And I walk in the peace and the joy of God that I have in my heart because of the choice that I did. Let's continue to read the rest of this parable because this is very, very important. Uh we finished verse 14. So now we're in 15. Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is I evil because I am good? You see, now he's calling out the jealousy because now we're talking about a spirit of jealousy. Do you think the church might be jealous for the people living out the world and not sacrificing because of all the sacrifices the church makes over and over again? Possibly. And it, you know, and every circumstance is its own, but we really need to humble ourselves as a body of Christ and realize that people can get saved just simply by confession. And if they transform and choose Christ, that's up to the Holy Spirit. up to Jesus working in their hearts and minds. And if he can get me on stairs in a house coming down some stairs, how much more can he get other people in dreams? You know, I have loved ones who has shared dreams with me that were so powerful. I'm like, man, God's calling you. It's time you get right with God. These are things that we, the body of Christ, should be sharing. Amen. So, the last shall be first and the first last. For many be called but few chosen. And the reason the few are chosen is because those that are called aren't accepting the choice that Jesus has given us. They're afraid. They don't want to live in in holiness because they think they got to give up their party, their their lovely lives that they think they have. And little do they know that they can have all that. But you seek first. I'm going to get you that scripture now. So, it's a choice to live for Christ or not. And you have to purpose it in your mind. And it's hard, you know, the prayers I'm about to post here up in here in January. You know, when you start to pray like this and you get in prayer, you make mistakes and I have to do it over and over again to really remember it and remember the format and remember the scriptures with it because it's not my comfort zone. It's been out of my comfort zone and I've had to fight with it. But that's because I'm fighting the spiritual enemy there. And which by the way is me. Oh, I don't want to pray. And then I come to realize how much because I don't feel I pray, but I come to realize how much people need prayer. People need people praying behind the scenes and there aren't that many of us doing it. We need more. Look at Joshua and what he said because he purposed something in his heart here. Joshua 24:15. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers serve, that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in the whose land ye dwell, but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. You have to purpose in your heart whom you're going to serve. So you get saved and you you confess Jesus as your Lord. You you say, "Jesus is Lord." And by the way, people can do that accidentally. You can do that in a car. You there's a car accident about to happen. You see, you just yell, "Jesus." He knows your spirit and him connect in that moment. I think we're going to be surprised how many people are saved, truly saved. They're just not wanting to live for God. They're just they're not purposing it in their hearts. And then there's those that see, remember how many day laborers are? You had those that started at 6:00 in the morning, then he got more at 9ine, and then 11, then noon, then he went and got more at three o'clock, and they got one got more at five. Well, there's people who go to church only on Sundays or once a month or only on Christmas and Easter. Well, they're the people that got hired at the four or five o'clock hour, but that's they don't want to anymore. They don't want to do anymore. Is that wrong? You know, if you got a calling on your life and you're rejecting the Lord, the curses are going to be upon you. But if you realize and you let that Holy Spirit talk to you, now you're coming into something that is more powerful than you could ever imagine. Amen. Look at what Paul says here in Philippians 1:20 through22. according to my earnest expectation and my hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed but with all but that with all boldness as always. So now also Christ shall be magnified in my body whether it be my life or by death. For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labor. Yet what I shall choose I ought not. You see, Paul got a taste of heaven and he knew what it was like. And he wanted to go home to be with the Lord. really bad. But he knew people needed him. He knew what he had to do. He knew he was going to die for Christ. But he knew he purposed Christ in his heart because he had an encounter with Jesus in the road to Damascus. That's a Holy Spirit encounter. By the way, guys, I had my Holy Spirit encounter on the stairs. Have you had your encounter? Have you asked God for an encounter? Are you having your encounter right now? But see, he chose to what did he do? For to me to live as Christ. You see, to him is to live for Christ. And that was and to die is gain. He knew he wanted the better choice. Yeah, it's better. And did you see what he also said? The fruit of my labor. This is the fruit of my labor. See, he's identifying the fruit of it. Now you live for Christ, you're going to have the fruit. The blessings of God is going to be upon you. You will live a long life in good health. Do you know though, he lets the unbeliever live a long life, giving him every opportunity to get saved over and over. He keeps he doesn't want to lose one. He loves us that much. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Hallelujah. So let the fruit of your labor live your life. If you want to be in the blessings of God, then you need to purpose in your heart that you want to walk with Jesus. Which means you need to read his scripture so you can get to know him. Bless your household. Bless bless. Bless. Oh, you guys, you just Let's go to second Timothy 1:9. Who hath saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works. Wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me all the good things I do without God won't count? That is correct. for all those wolves and sheep's clothing where you've never confessed Jesus. You don't even know who you're praying to. You're just walking through the motions by going to church, listening, and just trying to pray for people, but you don't know who you pray for. You know who you are. There was in the news what, a handful of months ago that talked about a pastor from a few years ago who realized he didn't know who he was praying to. He went to the elders, they removed him as a pastor, and he spent the next two years seeking. He found him and realized I know who God is now. And he went back to the church, back to the elders, and he was reinstated. You see, we have to purpose in our hearts, Jesus, and choose him. We'll get to that scripture. I want to show you more. Not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began. He has a calling on your life, and he has chosen you. And whatever that calling is, and it could be very simple, just smiling or baking bread for everybody or just being there listening to somebody. You don't you have no idea how powerful those little ministries are. They go a long way and they save lives. In fact, when you walk in integrity, let's say you're in a meeting with all of your co-workers and it's been a rough week or two because been busy, crazy, and you guys are there talking about it, and you just say, "Hey, well, praise God. We had sales. We needed this. We needed that." They look at you with their chins dropped knowing what hell you went through, but they see. And they see and they recognize and say, "What do you have that I don't have?" Because I want what you got. And that is true because the spirit of God moves in you and answers to them because they see it. In fact, if I, you know, even me teaching, preaching, guess what? You might not be hearing the exact words I'm saying, but the Holy Spirit is sharing words with you that is ministering to your heart because he knows exactly what you need to hear in the right moment. This is why it's not by accident you're here at this message. Now you want to know how to live for Christ so that you have everything that you can have. But seek first the kingdom of God. This is Matthew 6:33. And his righteousness. I got to be in right standing with God, his righteousness. How do I get into his righteousness? I spend time with him because I have to learn who he is. Seek first the kingdom of God. What? What is that? I mentioned in the beginning of the message, laying hands on the sick, having the blind see, healing the sick, delivering of them of demons, praying peace and joy over them, showing them how to get to Christ, whether they want to live for him or not, but showing them the power of God in your life. That is the kingdom of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. And then look, and all these things shall be added unto you, which is your healing, your joy, your peace, your sleep. Oh my goodness. God is good. And he provides. He takes care of you. And he wants to give you blessings. He wants to be there with you because he loves you that much. Well, praise God for now, today, you can choose to purpose in your heart to live for him. And if you're just barely hearing about Jesus and you somehow made it to the end of this message, then all you got to do is confess Jesus just like this. I'll pray you can repeat after me. Dear Jesus, forgive me of my sins. I'm sorry I messed up. I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior over my heart and over the sins of my life and I thank you for saving me in the name of Jesus. Amen. Now, if you're here, you want to purpose your life for God, then say something like this. Dear Jesus, I humble myself before you and I ask you to forgive me again, for I keep messing up, but Lord, I want to live for you. And I'm asking for your righteousness to be in my heart and mind. I'm asking for you to be my Lord and Savior. I'm asking you to help me read my script read your scriptures to pray with you, to choose to walk in you, to gain more knowledge in you, and to place myself aside and to have more of you in my life. I choose that. I choose to seek first the kingdom of God and your righteousness. And then I'm asking for all those other things to be added unto me. Thank you Lord in the name of Jesus. Amen. Written teaching: 1 Corinthians 3:1 “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.” The difference between a mature person and a childish person can be ascertained by their ability to engage in substantive communication. Paul made the statement to the Corinthian church that he was unable to communicate with them due to their lack of understanding spiritually mature subjects, he simply said to them, trying to talk with you about spiritual issues is like speaking to little children about things that they are unable to comprehend. In the natural all children grow up, that is, eventually they all mature into an adult understanding of the realities of everyday life. However, not all baby Christians mature into an adult understanding of spiritual life, and that is sad. Imagine living your entire adult life with a child’s mindset. The ministry of deliverance is a great tool that the Lord uses to bring baby or carnal Christians into spiritual maturity, for the word deliverance also means liberation, and a person matures as his/her mind is liberated from childish thinking, or foolish thinking, that unfortunately keep many Christians from ever coming into the maturity of the faith. 1 Corinthians 3:2 “I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able.” What is it that keeps so many Christians from growing up spiritually? There are several elements to this problem, the first and the most basic one in my opinion, is the tendency of the church to hold on to its converts, instead of seeing them as seed that they are to scatter abroad. If we look at the church from a business model perspective, the first question that we must ask is this: what is the product that the church was created to produce? Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” The goal of the church is to duplicate itself wherever it goes, that means that those who are converted are to be raised up in the expectation that they themselves will grow up to become servants of the call of Jesus for all to go and to make disciples. In the business model some have to stay in the churches that are planted, to mind the store if you will, but always with the expectation that they might be called to convert others and to make disciples out of them, even outside of the realm of influence of their local church. Like in their workplace, or family members that are not part of their local community. The ideal church is one that is raising up mature believers that hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, and since the end goal is the same for those who stay as for those who are called to leave, there is no acrimony, for their aim is to go and to make disciples, here or there, or everywhere, it matters not, as long as our goal remains the same; to fulfill the call of Jesus to go and to make disciples of every nation. 1 Corinthians 3:3 “For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” Envy is always the result of selfishness, and it always brings with it strife and division. The devastating result of selfishness within the church is that it changes the goal for which Jesus established the church. 1 Corinthians 3:4 “For when one says, ‘I am of Paul,’ and another, ‘I am of Apollos,’ are you not carnal?” Once the goal is changed, the product changes as well. If the farmer decides that he is going to keep and eat most of the corn that he harvested, and greatly reduces the amount of seed that he is suppose to scattered abroad, not only the quality of the product is vastly reduced, but the amount that he produces suffers greatly as well. How does that principle of selfishness applies to the church today? Hebrews 5:13 “For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.” Imagine going to a church where they do not want you to ever leave. How many sermons on maturing spiritually so that you can go out and make disciples are you going to hear? Not many, I venture to say, for it would contradict their goal of keeping you there. How many sermons on how your spiritual walk is so totally dependent on them and what they offer you will you hear, that you wouldn’t dare think of ever leaving them? You see, if they want to keep you they have to create a need of them in your life. Hebrews 5:12 “For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.” If I can paraphrase You have come to need milk, You are a babe and you are hooked and in need of milk not solid food. Can you see the deviation from the original call? As long as you stay with their milk you will never mature and move on to your higher calling, and that is their aim if they are acting selfishly, for in their mind is the thought of why would we make faithful disciples to go out and plow in somebody else’s field? There is just one field for those of us who believe, the Lord’s field, and it does not matter who on this earth seems to get the credit as long as the great commission is proclaimed to the entire world, as we believers come into the maturity of the faith as one body, under one Lord, Jesus Christ! If I am one of those infants who is hooked to their baby formula, how do I get out of it? Hebrews 6:1-2 “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection (maturity), not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of the doctrines of baptism, of laying on hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” Everything enumerated in the verses above are doctrinal foundations of Christianity, that is why on verse three he states that: And this we will do if God permits, in other words, that is the message that we are to proclaim to the new converts. But those of you who have already learned the foundational principles need to move on, he said leave that discussion, and move up. If every time you go to church you find that you have to repent all over again every time that you hear a call to repentance, something is wrong, chances are you are hooked to babe’s milk and in need of somebody to lay hands on you and feed you some more formula, or change your spiritual diaper. How do I move up? Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are full of age (mature), that is, those who by reason of use (practice) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” There is an Old Testament Scripture where God compels those to whom He is speaking to come up higher and to reason together with Him. Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” Why don’t we do that right now. Think back to when you were first saved, did God know every sin that you had ever committed and still saved you? He not only knew every sin that we had ever committed and forgave us when we first got saved, but even all those sins that we did not even know we had committed or remembered, He forgave them all as well. As you probably know, God is all knowing; so on that basis let me ask you again, did not God know all your future sins as well and still forgave you when you first got saved? He forgave us of all of our future sins when we first got saved through a mechanism He put in place where we could in the future bring to Him those sins that were yet to be committed by us? 1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” So that as Christians when we sin, we do not lose our salvation, we do not have to get saved all over again, we simply confess and acknowledge our sins before Him and He is faithful and just not only to forgive us of the sins that we have perpetrated since our salvation, but He also cleanses us from all unrighteousness. Knowledge and an understanding of this fact will mature you faster than anything that I know, for knowingly or unknowingly those whose aim is to keep you hooked to their baby bottle will always go after the inconsistencies of the flesh in their sermons, to get you back to the basic principles of salvation all over again, to where you will never leave them even if you knew that the Lord had called you, for you would feel so inadequate in your infant mentality. Hebrews 6:4-6 “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.” After the Lord calls us to leave the elementary things behind, things that can be perverted and used by the enemy to stunt our growth, He places the above and very important Scripture to illuminate us into the revelation of the eternity of our salvation that He calls the heavenly gift. Although the above Scripture can be difficult to understand, especially for baby Christians, if you want to grow into maturity you will have to deal with it, that is why the Lord put it there right in the midst of the discussion about immaturity, for it deals with the subject of whether a true believer can lose his/her salvation. Listen carefully, if a born-again believer could lose his/her salvation, that is, if it were possible for a true believer to fall away, then Jesus our Advocate before the Father would be the one that loses the case, and that is contrary to Scripture. John 17:12 “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.” One cannot be born again unless he/she is a partaker of the Holy Spirit, and it is during salvation that we first taste of the heavenly gift, it might be milk, but is heavenly milk, the sincere milk of the Word of God, so that we are babes at first, but still babes in Christ the unmovable rock of our salvation. Although we are called to maturity, our salvation does not depend on our maturity for it is a heavenly gift from God. Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” It is fear that keeps many from maturing in the faith, but God’s perfect love casts out all fear. Fear of losing the gift of our salvation has been used against many to keep them bound, and it is still used today to keep many from leaving the herd and fulfilling their call. God did not call us to sit on our blessed assurance, but to become fruitful workers in the kingdom of God, do not let any human control you or your actions, Jesus is the head of the church, and He speaks to us His children daily, all we have to do is to read His Word with a sincere heart and meditate on the truths that the Holy Spirit reveals to us in His Word.
