- THE VERACITY OF GOD'S WORD | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Matthew 4:3-4 “Now when the tempter came to Him, he said: ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ Top of Page THE VERACITY OF GOD’S WORD Matthew 4:3-4 “Now when the tempter came to Him, he said: ‘If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.’ But He answered and said, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”’” During the time of the temptation of Jesus after He had fasted for forty days and forty nights, the enemy came to test the trustworthiness of God’s immutable Word. I want to share with you the insight of what was taking place during this encounter between The Word and the accuser. This is an extremely important lesson. Our understanding of what was taking place behind the scenes if you will, will greatly help us to overcome the accuser when he comes knocking on our door to challenge what we believe. I have seen the faith of some young believers wrecked by their failure to understand the gimmicks that Satan employs when challenging the veracity of the Word of God. My hope is that by exposing some of the enemy’s tactics, that it might prepare you to take a firm stand against the devil’s perversion of the Word of God when you are confronted by them. Luke 20: 17-18 “Then He looked at them and said, ‘What then is this that it is written: “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone”’? Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” When the devil challenged Jesus to turn the stones into bread, at first appearance, in the natural scheme of things, it appears as if the enemy is tempting the flesh that was hungry after a long fast, but spiritually speaking there was a lot more going on here than we see at first glance. As we can see from our Scripture in Luke, the stone is representative of the Word of God and it’s power to break those who fall on it, and grind into powder those upon whom it falls. So that in essence the spirit behind Satan’s challenge was “to turn the stone” (The immutable Word of God) into something soft and common like bread that you eat today and is gone tomorrow, it wreaks of compromise. In other words, the enemy was saying, if you are the Son of God you can do whatever you want to with the Word (implying that He could change it). Hence the answer that Jesus responded with, “it is written”. Which brings me to the first application of this lesson in regards to the challenges that we face today when it comes to our faith and trust in the Word of God. How do we know that the Bible is the true Word of God? It is written! I hear people tell me that the Bible was written by men, and that other men decided which of the many books that were written were made part of the Bible, as if God was somehow limited by the powers of men. 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation (It was never left to men as to what to write or what to include and reject), for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke (men spoke from God) as they were moved (into action) by the Holy Spirit.” Satan wants us to believe that men, fallen creatures as we are, are incapable of producing truth, and that is true if men are left to their own devices. But the Bible does not credit men with producing truth, all the credit goes to the Holy Spirit of God. And just as God chose the womb of one of the many virgins of Israel to give birth to the Word in Carne, God chose and moved in the spiritual womb of men and women of God to bring forth the Written Word as well. 1 Peter 2:4-5 “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” The one thing that unbelievers can never comprehend is how the Word becomes alive (a living stone) inside the ones who believe in Jesus as their savior, since they haven’t experienced the transformation that a born-again believer experiences when he/she becomes a living stone. We become like living stones when we partake in simple faith the truth of the Gospel. What is hard for me to understand is how believers that have tasted of the sweetness of the Living Rock that gushes forth to satisfy their taste for righteousness, can overtime allow the bitter waters of the enemy’s poison to weaken their trust in the truth that they have tasted in their born again experience. Galatians 1:6-7 “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Gospel of Christ.” Which brings as to the second temptation that Jesus had to endure on our behalf. Matthew 4:5-6 “Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, ‘If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: “He shall give His angels charge over You,” and, “In their hands they shall bear You up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”’” In the natural the temptation is for Jesus to be presumptuous, but if you look a little deeper the truth of this temptation is the perversion of God’s Word. Once a believer has experienced the truth of God’s Word, the enemy’s aim is to pervert its application by treating the Word as mechanical in nature instead of a living relational part of our everyday lives. Yes, there may be a time when God tells you to trust Him to the point of doing something so foolish that it defies human logic. But to the person that is in a personal relationship with the Living Word there will be no doubt in their hearts. Jesus simply responded to this temptation by saying: “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt (test) the Lord your God.’” Matthew 4:7 One does not have to test true relational friendship, because by definition, it has already been tested when the weaker one chose to put all their trust in the power of the stronger one. So that when a believer puts his/her trust solely in the Word for their eternal salvation, how much more can they trust the Word for the less important matters of everyday life. Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?” So that once we know the greater truth that Jesus was crucified for our sins, the goal of the enemy is to separate us from daily trusting in Him as we continuously work out our relationship with that same truth. Basically, what I am saying is that if we are willing to trust His Word for our eternal salvation, then how much more can we trust in His Word for our everyday life. Matthew 4:8-9 “Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’” When Adam was first created, he was given dominion over all the kingdoms of the world that were to come in all their glory. When Adam failed to trust the Word of God that said that he was good even though he was naked, Adam forfeited his dominion to the devil who caused him to know that he was naked. In other words, he believed the lies of the devil over the truth of God’s Word and that kept him from partaking of the tree of life. When the devil tempted Jesus who is God the Word the third time, his aim was to have Jesus the Word declare him, the devil, good, in exchange for Jesus not having to bear the sins of Adam and of his descendants through the cruel death of the cross in order to regain the dominion that Adam had lost when he failed to trust in the Word of God. So basically, what the devil said to Jesus was, I’ll give you the dominion that Adam lost to me in exchange for you declaring me good even though I am perverted, you have power to declare me clean so that You do not have to die on the cross. Matthew 4:10 “Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.”’” So that in the temptations that Jesus suffered we can clearly see the progression of the devil’s machinations, and they all involve different levels of perversion to the Word of Truth. First the devil wants the Stone Truths or the foundational principles of the Word of God to be turn into the soft bread of compromise, so that the Word that the believers profess won’t crush his head. Secondly he wants us to have religion instead of relationship with the Word of God. In religion or ritualistic confines the devil is able to turn the Word that frees us into cold frigid rules that suffocate the very life that the Word was meant to give us. Thirdly, the devil offers an easy way out to the uncompromising believer that will not deviate from God’s foundational principles and walks in the freedom of the spirit filled life, by trying to make the road that the believer has to walk harder than it is, so that he can tempt him to receive perverted power that does not come from God. Unfortunately some who originally ministered in the Word of Truth have given up the difficulties of the narrow road of hardships for the temporary glory of the third temptation, the glorification of self. Jesus did not mess around when faced with that third temptation, immediately He uttered the words: “Away with you, Satan!” All humans are influenced by spirits that want to sway us into doing good or bad. There is always something or someone in the spiritual realm that wants us to do their bidding. The only protection that we have against those bad and unprofitable influences is the Truth of the Word of God. The Word of God is the filter that protects our spirit and soul from contamination. The greater our knowledge of the Word of Truth the finer the mesh becomes in the filter. Do not let the spirit of the world that continuously belittles the Word of God rob you of the many benefits that Jesus has provided for us in his many great and precious promises. 2 Peter 1:3-4 “As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him (the Word made flesh) who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises (in God’s Word), that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption (perversion) that is in the world through lust.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- THE FEAR OF THE LORD | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) asks what is the fear of the Lord? There are different levels of fear that are based on the different experiences of fear that we’ve encountered throughout our lives that will limit our understanding of what the fear of the Lord truly is. Top of Page THE FEAR OF THE LORD Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.” What is the fear of the Lord? I remember back in June 1976, when I first became a Christian, wondering what it meant to fear God back then, after all I was saved by responding to the Gospel, where Jesus forgave all my sins and I was made aware of His love for me. But every time that I read in the Bible about fearing God I felt that I was missing something, then I heard somebody teach that to fear God meant to respect God, and I thought that made more sense, but still I felt that perhaps something was missing. Thirty seven years later and I feel that I have a better understanding of what the fear of the Lord is, but I know still that there is so much more that I need to learn about God if I ever want to get close to have a deeper understanding of the true meaning of that phrase, why is that? God reveals Himself to humans in different levels and at different times, and the more that we experience the revelation of God and at different levels, the greater that our understanding will be of what the fear of the Lord is to us personally. Take a young person that goes to war, and while there in the front lines experiences the death of soldiers around him, and in some way he is convinced that he will not come out alive, but yet somehow he survives, that young person will have an extremely different understanding of what fear is, when compared let’s say to a person that has never come that close to the reality of death. So that there are different levels of fear that are based on the different experiences of fear that we’ve encountered throughout our lives that will limit our understanding of what the fear of the Lord truly is. Let us see if we can analyze the fears that we might not have personally faced in our own past, through the experiences of others in Scripture. Hebrews 12:21 “And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, ‘I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.’” I find that in the deepest level of our souls, where the fear that resides deep within us is, we have also the capacity to experience the highest level of human elation possible, so that both fear and elation are there together. I believe that what brings the greatest level of fear upon a human is to be exposed to the glory of God, and it is that same glory that brings about the greatest elation into the very core of that born again believer. When I experienced the rapture in a vision back in 1989, my body was so afraid when I saw Jesus in the fullness of His glory, that it trembled so much that the cells in my body felt like they were becoming unglued, for my body was gripped with such an incredible fear, yet at the same time my spirit was shouting at the top of his voice, Hallelujah, He kept His promised. I wrote the entire vision in the introduction page in my book Man’s Final Destiny, in the books section of the houseoffaithministries.org So that at the same instant that I was experiencing the greatest fear that I had ever felt, I’ve also experienced the greatest elation possible. So that for those of us who believe, fear and elation kind of go together, for with the fear-experience comes the opportunity to receive a higher level of rev-elation. Remember that it was after experiencing the terrifying fear that caused him to trembled, that Moses received the ten commandments along with the rest of the law. Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Do you see Proverbs 9:10 through a different light now? I know I do! Ecclesiastes 12:14 “For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil.” I believe that the next level of fear that trouble many of us has to do with God’s judgments over the works of our hands, since many of us have very different definitions of what the right thing to do is. How do we deal with the fear that our actions or lack of actions bring to our hearts when we view them through the prism of facing the judgment of God someday? Hebrews 4:12-13 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” The source of the fear of the judgment of our works or deeds, emanates from all those secret things that we have done and believe are hidden and out of sight, and when we are reminded that one day they will all be exposed, it gives us a great deal of consternation to say the least. How do we deal with this fear over the judgment of our works? We need to expose the motive for our actions to the light of the Word of God. Remember that our righteousness are like filthy rags to God, and our deeds do not merit any better, for as it is written: Romans 3:12 “They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one.” So that if our righteousness before God can only stand on the foundation of His grace, so do our works as well. So that everything that I do that is right, can only come as the result of His grace working through me, Scripturally speaking, and everything else I must bring to the cross as well, and ask the Lord to forgive them. So that in everything Jesus gets the glory; He gets the glory when I do what is right, for I can only do what is right through the power of His grace working in me, and when I confess all my faults, misdeeds, and all my failures before Him, He gets the glory as well, for only He is faithful and just to forgive me of all my trespasses when I confess them before Him, that is what frees me from the fear of judgment. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” In a perfect love relationship, there are no secrets; if we know that Jesus truly loves us and that He is willing to forgive us of any and all sins that we confess before Him, so that we can start fresh every morning, then we know that there is not going to be any surprises on judgment day. So that next time that the devil tries to condemn you by bringing to your memory some past sins that you have already confessed to the Lord, and you feel that spirit of fear rising up within you, recall to your mind this next Scripture and have hope: Lamentations 3:20-23 “My soul still remembers and sinks within me. This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope. Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” The next level of fear that we are dealing with in this lesson is respect. Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age (mature), that is, those who by reason of use (practice) have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Respect has to do with assuming responsibilities for our actions, if we just think, well if I do wrong I’ll just repent and go on my merry way. An unruly child is disciplined by the rod, a child that listens however, though still a child, can receive discipline through words. The most grievous parts of our sins to God is when we injure others by them, thereby causing damage to God’s goods, that is when God will time-out those who refuse discipline, and at the root of refusing to be disciplined by the Word of God is the lack of respect for it. Galatians 6:7-8 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” He who sows to the flesh will live in fear, fear of God, fear of others, fear of his actions, fear of the future, fear of judgment, for all these fears come as the results of corruption within, and may someday bring that person to the point where they become incorrigible. He who sows to the Spirit is continuously guided by the counsel of the Word of God, his fear or respect for it, drive his actions to the point where he eventually matures into the place of peace that our Lord has reserved for him. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- SPIRITUAL ORDER | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on 2 Thessalonians 3:7 “For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you.” Top of Page SPIRITUAL ORDER 2 Thessalonians 3:7 “For you yourselves know how you ought to follow us, for we were not disorderly among you.” The reality is that today many Christians do not really understand spiritual order, and because of their lack of knowledge in this subject they needlessly suffer lack. The kingdom of heaven is a spiritual kingdom, and those of us who are born of the Spirit of God have been called to navigate within the spiritual order that governs His heavenly kingdom. As anyone who has traveled to an unknown destination knows, if you do not have a good set of directions and a reliable map, and a common understanding of how to read and follow a set of directions, chances are that you will get lost and suffer the loss of time and resources. It is the same as we travel in our spiritual journey, we are traveling to an unknown destination, unknown to us that is, for God knows where He is taking us, but if we do not understand the spiritual order that governs our journey we will not be much help to God in Him getting us there on time. That is why we are commanded that in all things we must follow the path of the spiritual order that God has foreordained. 1 Corinthians 14:40 “Let all things be done decently and in order.” In our opening text Paul tells the Thessalonians that they know how they ought to follow them, because of the order with which he taught them. 2 Thessalonians 3:6 “But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us.” Notice how Paul said, we command you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, this was not a request, this is how vitally important this matter is, for spiritual disorder will frustrate the plan of God for our lives. The flow of the authority of the Word of God, like electricity traveling through an electrical circuit, follows a clearly defined path that works perfectly as long as the orderly flow is maintained, any deviation causes the flow to trip the switch that immediately shuts off the power. Let me see if I can, with the help of the Holy Spirit, lay out some of the basic rules that govern this spiritual flow so that we can learn how to maintain spiritual order in our lives, and thereby not hinder the plan and purpose that God has ordained for us to fulfill. Isaiah 55:10-11 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” God uses the illustration of how the rain and the snow that melts and waters the earth and accomplishes the purpose for which He sends it, to reveal how the spiritual power of His Word functions. He sends out His Word as a flow of energy and those who partake, that is, come in agreement with His Word and live their lives accordingly, will fulfill the purpose for which they were created through the power that the energy of the Word of God provides them with. So that the number one rule is: Follow the directions that the Word of God provides, that is, if you want to fulfill the purpose for which He created you. Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ (the flowing power of the anointed One) who strengthens me.” So that if I believe that my life is not an accident, but that God purposed me to be born and assigned to me His good plan and purpose for me to fulfill through the power that He provides, then that leads me to: Rule number two: I have to believe that God has a divine purpose for my life, and that I am not just here to mow the grass and tend the garden. 2 Thessalonians 2:13 “But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.” It is belief in this truth that brings spiritual order into our personal lives. That is we connect with the energy that flows from heaven above, the Word of God, and it is that energy that empowers us to change course, to turn away from the vanities of this life that perishes, and to aim for the goal of faith which is eternal life with Jesus, to be with Him we must be like Him, and that is what sanctification does, it prepares us for eternity. Spiritual order also functions corporally, as in within the family unit and within the church. So that we also need to understand the path that spiritual order follows corporally so that we can function properly within the family unit and within the church, which is our spiritual family. 1 Corinthians 11:3 “But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” The above verse can be controversial to those who do not understand the flow of spiritual order. But we need to know that God has set the institution of holy matrimony as the foundation of the family unit, and as a type for the relationship between Jesus and His church. So that if I come with the mindset of natural understanding and say, I am a man therefore I am the head of the woman, I immediately negate the spiritual fact that in Christ, I, as a man, am the bride of Christ also. So that within the natural process, spiritual authority or order, flows from God to Christ, from Christ to man, from man to woman, from woman to children, but from the spiritual perspective all authority and order flows out of the unchanging and uncompromising Word of God, to which all things owe their allegiance to, be it physical or spiritual. So that those who deviate from the natural order, that is, refrain from following in the tenants prescribed by the Word of God, fall into disorder, just as much as those who though in the proper natural position deviate from their responsibilities to the Word of God, and to their own peril fall into disorder themselves. Ephesians 3:14-15 “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven (spiritual order) and earth (physical order) is named.” Paul writes that He is fully committed to the principle of spiritual order by bowing his knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, do you see the progression? But then he adds, to whom the whole family, natural and spiritual belong. We see in the natural how this principle works, when the family unit breaks down everything is prone to disorder, but we also witness that when the family unit, though intact, rejects or ignores the principles in the Word of God, that disorder rules there as well. So that the key is in our understanding how the principle of spiritual order works and all that is at stake, for the results will be either order or disorder. So that our third rule is made obvious by the fact that in spiritual order, God, His Word, and the Holy Spirit are the only One’s who are perfect, and who perfectly agree, and all that follows within that spiritual order must comply fully to the tenants of the Word of God, and if not, their position is nullified immediately and ceded to the next in line that believes and applies the Word of God. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 “Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.” How do I know if my house is in the proper spiritual order? 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.” Notice how the order is reversed, Jesus and then the Father, that means that the Lord wants us to look upward to see if we are conforming with God’s plan for us, the plan that was made available to us by our Lord Jesus Christ and the good hope and grace that comforts our hearts, for that is what establishes us to do His good word and works. If there is enmity in your heart against His Word for you or the work that He has called you to do, chances are that you are out of His spiritual order and lack the power to fulfill His calling for your life. Isaiah 30:15 “For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: ‘In returning (repentance) and rest (in His promises) you shall be saved (delivered); in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.’ But you would not.” Would you? It is better to be hot or cold than to be indifferent, if indifference is not what you are dealing with right now, weigh the cost of your salvation, figure out the benefits of spiritual order in your life against the cost of disorder and chaos, which is more profitable to you now? Which is more profitable to you in the age to come? The Bible is full of characters that sold their future inheritance for a morsel of bread, and every single one of them live and died to regret it. I hope that is not you my friend, for I feel as I am writing this, that your weariness is weighing you down somehow . 2 Thessalonians 3:13 “But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.” Do the right thing! 2 Thessalonians 3:16 “Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a sampling of the free book called The Kingdom of the First Born. Top of Page Top of Page THE KINGDOM OF THE FIRST BORN Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published on 12/26/2010 This is a sampling of the free book called The Kingdom of the First Born. You can read the book for free here . INTRODUCTION Colossians 1:15-18 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” The concept of “the firstborn” when applied to Jesus can be kind of troublesome in the minds of some believers and perhaps many, especially as we consider the fact that Jesus is God Eternal who has always been and shall forever be. Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not.” KJV “The firstborn over all creation” Just what do the Scriptures mean when they refer to Jesus as being the firstborn over all creation? We can make the argument as I do in my book “Man’s Final Destiny” that “The Word of God” is the second person of the Godhead (John 1:1), and that through Him “The Word of God” all things were created, since God Spoke everything into existence by saying “Let there be…!” And that The Eternal Word did not become flesh until He entered into the body that was prepared for Him some two thousand years ago, namely Jesus: (John 1:14), the physical body, into whom The Word entered and became flesh. “He is before all things” However, Paul appears to be making this statement directly about Jesus the Word incarnate, since in verse 13 of the same chapter he writes: “…Conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” And in others Scriptures as well, some quoted in the letter to the Hebrews, it seems to be making the same point of a beginning or starting point for the Son. Hebrews 1:5-6 “For to which of the angels did He ever say: ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You’? And again: ‘I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son’? But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him.’” “The beginning, the firstborn from the dead” Meanwhile this phrase seems to imply that its beginning should be applied only to the time immediately after the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. Obviously there is more to these Scriptures that meets the eye. Was there a transformative event that took place with the works of creation that God somehow used to represent Himself into a form or manner into the likes of which He had never revealed Himself? In other words, did the God that does not change, transformed Himself into something new, something that had never existed before? In this writing I intend to shed light on the mysteries hidden within the history of creation as presented in the Bible. Hopefully to expound on the premises on which God has founded His works: like… Did the God that never changes really transform Himself into something new? House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) shows that in unity we find the demonstration of the power of the Grace of Jesus in conjunction with the acceptance of the Love of God, all rolled into one in the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Top of Page Top of Page PSALM 133: THE POWER OF UNITY Written by Pastor Marcos Marrero Published on 9/23/2023 Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” In unity we find the demonstration of the power of the Grace of Jesus in conjunction with the acceptance of the Love of God, all rolled into one in the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14 “The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Communion (fellowship) of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.” The grace of Jesus and the love of God flourish when we share them through communion or fellowship with one another. As my spiritual father, the Rev. Herb Ezell used to say: “Christian fellowship is just as important as Christian worship”. He understood that to love one another and to share with one another is in esse nce an act of Christian worship. God compares the act of brethren dwelling together in unity with the pouring of precious oil upon the head, and having that oil running down to the beard, even down to the edge of His High Priest’s garments. Psalm 133:2 “It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments.” The spiritual application of the anointing with oil is that it begins with the head. Jesus of course is the head—in this case it begins with the demonstration of the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Why? Because we are all humans and as we come in contact with one another on a regular basis God’s Grace is indispensible. While we were still sinners Christ died for us, and while we are still imperfect His grace stays with us who have been born again and are part of His church, the church of the firstborn. Hebrews 12:23 “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect .” We believers were made just or righteous because of the grace of God and the blood of Jesus, while our perfection is still a work in progress; we have the love of God to sustain us, but it is up to us represented by the beard and the garment to allow that anointing oil to flow through us and give us the grace to love and accept one another along with our imperfections. Psalm 133:3 “It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forever more .” John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly .” Many of us have the life of Christ because we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, but sadly, many of us lack the abundant life that has been promised to us. At the end of Psalm 133 we are given the key that unlocks the secret to the abundant spiritual life that we desire: There the Lord commanded the blessing—Life forever more.” Where? It is the flowing of the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of oppression! And as we abide in this Spirit of unity, the blessings that God commanded are released upon His holy people, even those who abide in the power of His grace, live and are sustained by the demonstration of His love towards us and are willing to live in the fellowship of His Holy Spirit. Isaiah 48:17 “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: ‘I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.’” More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
- THE GREAT HARLOT | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Revelation 19:2 “For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; Top of Page THE GREAT HARLOT Revelation 19:2 “For true and righteous are His judgments, because He has judged the great harlot who corrupted the earth with her fornication; and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants shed by her.” The book of Revelation follows a two-fold path; it brings forth separately, the spiritual perspective and the physical perspective of the matter that is being presented. For example, in chapters one through three of Revelation, we are given the physical perspective of the church age, while chapters four through six, gives us the spiritual perspective of the same church age. In chapter seven we see the conjunction of the spiritual and physical presentation of the church age, as God brings down its final conclusion with the rapture of the church and the resurrection of the dead. Revelation 6:14 “Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up (the wall of separation between the spiritual and the physical realms is removed as we enter into chapter seven) …” Then we see the spiritual revelation of the ministry of the Two Witnesses in chapters eight and nine. And in chapters ten and eleven we see the days of their ministry through the physical perspective, so on and so forth: For the complete sequence read my book Man’s Final Destiny on the books section of houseoffaithministries.org web-page. The reason why I shared this is because there is a parenthesis that interrupts this pattern. It is found in chapters seventeen and eighteen, where God deals specifically with this entity whom He calls the great harlot, who corrupts the earth with her fornication. Revelation 17:5 “And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Who is this entity and what is her function that God devotes two entire chapters in His dealings with her? Number one, she is a mystery. Something that has to be revealed or exposed in order to be understood. Number two, she is a spiritual power to be reckoned with: Babylon the great is symbolic of a powerful, all encompassing, mystery religion. Number three, she is the originator or mother of all the false doctrines, and of all the abominable things that corrupt the entire earth. What is the connection between this great harlot and the devil? Revelation 17:3 “So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” The beast that this woman is riding on, is the devil himself. In this case John sees the great harlot riding the antichrist, whom the devil has fully possessed at this point in time. Revelation 17:8 “The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition…” The antichrist is the beast that rises out of the bottomless pit. His name is Abiram—which means exalted father—since according to Daniel he will exalt and magnify himself above every demonic entity called gods. Daniel 11:36 “Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god (demon/unclean spirit).” Let me take a minute to explain what is going on here. In chapters seventeen and eighteen, we see the culmination of this unholy and demonic allegiance between the devil and the harlot. The devil has never been popular with a majority of the people of the earth, at any given point in time. In order to be accepted by the populace, he cloaks himself with religious appeal, and through deceptive doctrines and corrupts the entire earth with his abominable teachings. In order to achieve that, he needed an army of demonic entities to assist him. These demons are called saints in order to appeal to the masses. For thousands of years people have worshiped the devil—the majority of them unaware—through religious rituals aimed to deceive those who practice them, into thinking that they were worshipping the real God. Thereby causing them to commit spiritual adultery through their idol worship, which is an abomination to God. Revelation 17:15 “Then he said to me, ‘The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.’” Religion and politics go together hand in glove, if the leaders of a nation can control and manipulate what their people believe, they can also control how their citizens behave! So as you can see the devil is heavily invested in the business of religion, for he is in the business of trying to control how people behave. The only problem with that is, that the devil has always hated having to share with his demonic cohorts the adulation that he feels should be only his, but without them he could not have deceived the world into worshipping him. After the devil possesses the antichrist, once he arrives here on physical earth—after being with him in the pit since the days of Moses—the devil does not need his old demonic hordes any longer, so he refuses to share with them the glory and adulation which he believes are his alone. He now, like Jesus, has a physical and eternal human body which he can present to the people. Unlike Jesus, he will force everybody to bow down to him and to worship his image, if not, he will have them beheaded, since he now presides over the governing authorities which have ruled over all the inhabitants of the world. Revelation 17:12-13 “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” The beast that you saw was, is a reference to the antichrist before he was taken down to the pit alive during Korah’s rebellion against Moses. Numbers 16:30 “But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men (Dathan and Abiram) have rejected the Lord (have entered into their final judgment).” The ground opened up and swallowed all of them alive, and they all perished, they all died—except for the two men who insulted the Lord by not presenting themselves before the Lord’s Presence as Moses had required of them, that was the new thing that the Lord created that day. Numbers 16:25-26 “Then Moses rose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. And he spoke to the congregation, saying, ‘Depart now from the tents of these wicked men (Dathan and Abiram)! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.’” The reason that we can know with certainty that Dathan and Abiram are the false prophet and the antichrist, and that they are raised and released physically from the bottomless pit, is because when Jesus defeats them at His return, they are not killed—since they have already died and have been judged by God, so when they are captured, they are immediately thrown alive into the Lake of Fire which is the second and final death. Revelation 19:20-21 “Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse…” The only way that we can answer the question as to why the false prophet and the antichrist were not killed by the sword as the others were, is because they were already dead and judged by God, and in possession of their eternal physical bodies. Which by the way, is the selling point that the antichrist uses to deceive the many who will follow him, the fact that he cannot not be killed even after receiving a fatal blow to the head. Revelation 13:12 “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And is not, makes it very clear that the antichrist in not in the world right now, for he will not ascend from the bottomless pit until after the rapture takes place, when the sky recedes like a scroll and the Two Witnesses come back to the earth to finish their ministry. Until then, the great harlot will continue to do the devil’s bidding on this earth. It is imperative for us to know who the real enemy is, and that he is behind every evil thing. Do not think that what may seem to us like harmless or old traditions as something that cannot hurt us. Proverbs 7:26-27 “For she (the great harlot) has cast down many wounded, and all who were slain by her were strong men. Her house is the way to hell, descending to the chambers of death.” Revelation 17:6 “I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus…” The sin of idolatry which is harlotry, is nothing to play with, or to take lightly. Those who refuse to renounce her ways and the traditions by which she ensnares so many, will find their spiritual vision becoming blurry, and their spiritual ears becoming dull. Let the truth of the Word of God enlighten your soul today and refuse to let the world mold you into its image. Learn of Him who is the truth and He will make you free. - THEREFORE WE HOPED | HoFM
House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teach on Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Top of Page THEREFORE WE HOPED But also, if we die daily, that means that we start anew daily. So that hope springs new and eternal every morning, leaving yesterday’s failures, and the thoughts about them, behind. Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” What is hope made of? According to our opening Scripture the God of hope is able to fill us with all joy and peace in believing, and it is also able to endue us with power from the Holy Spirit. We could say that hope is the key ingredient that allows us to live a life that is confident and secured in the promises that God has given to each and everyone of us. When all else is lost, hope remains! As a matter of fact, hope even triumphs in those who feel that they have lost all hope—when against all hope, they hope anyway. Romans 4:18 “Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed…” We get a sense then, that hope is that indispensable gift that remains, even after all else is lost. So that if we had to choose which of the many qualities that makes up hope is the greatest, undoubtedly, we would all agree that the fact that hope can never be truly lost is the greatest of all of its qualities. We could say then that hope is like a default setting that has been placed inside each and everyone of us. No matter how much we mess up and deviate from God’s original plan for our lives and therefore end up losing everything, we can always turn to the default setting of hope and start all over again. Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The seed of hope brings forth a blooming faith. Were it not for hope, no one could start a new life after wasting a previous one. In order for a new beginning to be successful it has to start in a positive note, so hope brings not only faith, but joy and peace as well. We could say then that hope is a repellent against bitterness, anger, and fear, all those things that would hinder a new beginning. Now here is a mystery, how can hope and a new beginning be part of my daily Christian walk? 1 Corinthians 15:31 “I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” The salvation of our souls requires that we die daily to ourselves and that we also die daily to our own selfish desires. The only way that a person is able to truly die daily to their own self-interests is if they live their lives in the hope that Christ’s plan for their lives is better for them, than the plan that this world is offering them. So that our hope of a better life from Christ, brings to us the daily dose of faith that its needed to make it through each day, no matter what evil that day may bring with it. But also, if we die daily, that means that we start anew daily. So that hope springs new and eternal every morning, leaving yesterday’s failures, and the thoughts about them, behind. Lamentations 3:22-23 “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” And that is the source of our joy and peace, the fact that we get a brand new start each and every day, for His compassions for us never fail. Think of a steep climb and of reaching the top of the hill as the goal. At the base we start with two climbers, one is strong, powerful, and highly skilled in climbing difficult terrains, his only flaw is that if he falls just once, he has been known to give up the climb and quit. The other is prone to falling down, and not very skilled as a climber, but he has one great quality going for him, no matter how many time he falls, he will not give up the climb! Human nature gives up in the face of failure, however, hope thrives in the face of failure, for it does not carry failure over from one day to another, it sees each new day as a brand new start with an opportunity to conquer unconquered ground. Psalm 119:147 “I rise before the dawning of the morning, and cry for help; I hope in Your word.” The essence of hope, is that hope, is the essence of God and His Word. Romans 15:4 “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience (perseverance) and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.” It does not really matter what our last fall might be before the Lord returns to take us all home, the only thing that will matter then will be the fact that even in the face of our daily failings it was found that….
