  • THE POWER WITHIN | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) says the difference between religion and Christianity, is that religion fills the head with knowledge, while true Christianity fills the believer’s heart with power from God. Top of Page THE POWER WITHIN Ephesians 3:20 “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” The difference between religion and Christianity, is that religion fills the head with knowledge, while true Christianity fills the believer’s heart with power from God. Remember how Jesus told His disciples after they had been with Him for over three years of indoctrination into the principles of Christianity, that they needed to go to Jerusalem and wait there to be endued with power from above. Acts 1:4-5, 8 “And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, ‘which ,’ He said, ‘you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now...But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you… ’” In religion, the power that enables the believer to carry out the doctrinal duties that his religion requires of him, is derived from the commitment of such believer to the doctrines that he has been taught. His fervor for what he believes and has been taught, is what drives his motives to attain what is required of him, but he himself provides the power. In Christianity, we have doctrines, and they require fervor, but the power to attain what is required of its believers is provided by God Himself. Now why is that? Ephesians 3:19 “To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Is a matter of love and hate! If the human nature had good in it, then a good doctrine would incite that good nature to do the righteous requirements of the Christian doctrine. But the Bible declares that there is no one, no not one, that does good. So, to entrust a good doctrine upon those who are incapable to live up to its godly requirements would be folly. Romans 3:10 “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.’” Now in religion that is not a problem, if those who practice such religion are in it for self-gain. Whether it is to lord it over others, or to gain profit from its practice, or just simply to make the claim that they are better than others because of the accomplishments that they themselves are able to achieve through their religious convictions. 1 Corinthians 15:19 “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.” True Christianity is rooted in unconditional love, that is why true Christianity cannot be exercised by self-generated power. Those who try to live up to the requirements of Christian doctrine by their own power are destined to fail, for it is an impossibility. The only way to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge is by being filled with all the fullness of God. When we become born again Christians, the Lord provides us with His Spirit, He fills us with Him, so that we can fulfill the law of Christ which is rooted and grounded in His love. Ephesians 3:17 “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love.” So that we can fulfill the requirements of the Christian doctrine. Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” But we have to believe that it is the Spirit of God who empowers us from within to fulfill that which is required of us. Now there are questions as to when we are filled with the power of God’s Spirit, and as to what the difference is, if any, about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I want to shed light on these questions in this lesson. The first thing that we need to be aware of is that during the ministry of Jesus, the believers had not yet received the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. For the Holy Spirit could not come until after Jesus left. John 7:38-39 “‘He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water’. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” Jesus told His disciples that He was going to Jerusalem to die for men’s sins, and then He told them that He would not leave them comfortless, but that they should wait for the Promise of the Father, that is to be filled with the Spirit and with power. Now since Jesus has already been glorified, all those of us who believe in Jesus and become born again, are immediately filled with God’s Holy Spirit and power. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” One cannot be a true Christian unless he/she is born of the One Spirit and made part of the body of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:19 “And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.” It is very clear then, that within all the born-again believers resides the power of God in essence form: according to the power that works in us, but notice how our opening text words it, the power that works in us. Works implies that a progression is taking place, as in a work in progress, as I wrote in my last lesson on the deliverance page, the renewing of the Holy Spirit goes from essence to presence, to power, but it is always according to the power that works in us, because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit through our born-again experience. What is the working of the Spirit trying to accomplish in us? It is working to transform us from the old nature of hate into the new nature of love. Even though His power will always be present in us who have been born of His Spirit in essence form, His presence in us will not always be evident, much less His power, if we are not fulfilling the law of Christ. Galatians 5:16, 25 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh...If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Here we see then that it is possible to have the Spirit of God in us, and not be walking according to the Spirit. How do we fail to walk in the Spirit of God? When we fail to walk by faith and to abide in love! That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love. Love is the manifestation of the presence of Jesus in us, and faith enables His power to be manifested in us and through us. That is why we are commanded to be filled with the full manifestation of His Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 “And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit.” Dissipation means to break up into different parts, if we walk to fulfill the lust of the flesh instead of walking after the Spirit, we separate the essence of the power that works within us, by preventing the love of God from manifesting itself, thereby disqualifying the power of faith. What about the baptism of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands? 1 Timothy 4:14 “Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.” Since all born again believers have the essence of the Spirit within them, all are qualified to receive the anointing power, as long as they continue to walk by the power of faith and in the Spirit of love. We need to recognize also that there are diverse gifts that come with the essence of the Spirit within us, once we become born again, and those gifts are available to those who believe. These gifts are activated by words of prophecy and by the laying on of the hands of the eldership, those who are spiritually mature in Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:1, 31 “Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant...But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.” Paul tells us that there are gifts that are available to all believers, he does not want us to be ignorant, or to ignore them, and he wants us to desire the best gifts that are available to us, but then he adds this: And yet I show you a more excellent way. 1 Corinthians 13:1 “...But have not love…” The essence of love is the manifestation of His presence, if we abide in total unconditional love, then everything that we are or have belongs to Him. It does not matter what gift we have as long as is the one that He wants us to have. For by faith we believe that whatever gift He gives us will be the best for us to glorify His holy name. • PRAYER GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) teaches the Holy Spirit has many gifts and He's just waiting for you to receive. Are you ready? Say this prayer out loud. Top of Page Top of Page EMPOWERMENT FOR THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT SAY THIS OUT LOUD: Precious Father in Heaven creator of Heaven and earth, in the Name of Jesus your only begotten Son I now come. Lord, no god has ever taken for himself out of the nations, a peculiar people like You have. By fiery trials, by miraculous signs and wonders, and by spiritual warfare. By Your mighty hand and an outstretched arms on the cross and by the great and awesome deed of the resurrection from the dead. You provided for us the Bread that came down from heaven, the Lamb of God, Your Living Word. You enabled us to drink His blood, precious and holy, for the New Covenant. From heaven you made us to hear Your voice, to discipline and empower us. On earth You showed Your tongues of fire, to fill us with Your power in accordance to Your promises. Lord fill me now with your Holy Spirit, fulfill Your promise in me. And grant me Your gifts with power. Dear Lord that Your authority may be displayed in me and that I may serve You faithfully. Rescue me, O Lord, from evil things; protect me from men of violence, who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day against me. They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Protect me, O Lord, from the words of the wicked one; Guard me your servant and my family with the hedge of Your unfailing love. Praise be to You dear Lord, my Rock, You train my hands for war, my fingers for battle. For if I cast out demons by the finger of God, then the Kingdom of God has come upon me with power and dominion. That I may occupy till You come dear Lord. Hallelujah! For salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are His judgments. He has condemned the greatly corrupted kingdom of the enemy here on earth, and has given the dominion to us His servants, by covering us with His blood. Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! He looked and saw how helpless my situation was. So His own arm worked salvation for me, and by His righteousness I am sustained in Him, empowered to do His mighty will. • SPIRITUAL REALITIES | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on discovering the reality of the spiritual realm. Top of Page SPIRITUAL REALITIES 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” What is reality? Humanly speaking we could say that reality is what we see with our eyes and what we touch with our hands, and that if we cannot touch it or see it because it is invisible, that it probably doesn’t exist or that at least is not real to us. Science however, has discovered that the things that we see and touch are made of particles that are invisible, and that when we come in contact with the things that appear to be solid and real, that we are not really even touching them, but rather, when we feel like we are touching something solid we are in reality feeling an invisible electromagnetic field or force that holds the particles together that form the visible stuff, and these forces repel one another, so that whatever force keeps the particles together in one form repel the particles that keep together another form. What that means is that every time I strike a key on my keyboard as I am writing this lesson, I am not really touching nothing that is solid, there is some force emanating from my finger tips that repels the force that holds together the particles that comprise my keyboard and make it visible, but my fingers and the keyboard never really come into contact with one another. Try figuring that one out; in other words, reality is not really what we think it to be. Which raises the question, what is real? Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made (are not comprise) of things which are visible.” Isn’t it amazing how true science does nothing but corroborate what the Word of God teaches us? Clearly the answer to the question I posed earlier, what is real? Is, The Word of God, that’s reality! Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (life creating and life sustaining and powerful (the invisible energy or force that holds everything together), and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division (separation) of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” So that the Word of God which created everything, sustains the creation by the power of an invisible force that holds everything together that God created. That force is also what separates the visible from the invisible so that everything occupies its own space in its interaction with the rest of the creation, what scientists call locality. Acts 17:28 “For in Him (the Word that became flesh) we live and move and have our being (existence).” The visible, what we call the physical realm, exists in a three-dimensional universe, but the invisible, what we call the spiritual realm, exists in a four-dimensional universe that is intertwined with the physical realm. So here is the key, the visible physical realm is totally made of invisible stuff, and the things which may appear real to us in reality are not. How does knowledge of this, or the lack of it, affects my walk of faith? Understanding the interactions of the physical and spiritual realm is key if we want to follow after the spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Hebrews 1:14 “Are they not all (the holy angels) ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?” Angels inhabit the fourth dimension, or what we call the spiritual realm, they are eternal creatures made of and sustained by the creating energy and do not have physical bodies. They can project themselves into our three-dimensional physical realm into whatever image they think is appropriate for their ministry on behalf of the saints, or remain invisible for that matter, but always working on and for the protection of the saints. Knowledge of this type of interactions, like that of knowing that we are never really alone when facing the creatures of darkness that are ever opposing us, can help our faith to be strengthen during a spiritual battle. In the same manner, the demonic forces that we wrestle against in our physical realm, are not physical, they are unclean spirits that operate out of the invisible realm of darkness. The spiritual realm is divided into two camps, the third heaven or paradise which Jesus refers to in the Lord’s prayer: Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven, this heaven is also called the Kingdom of Light, and is where two thirds of the angels reside, all these are the holy angels. The other part of the spiritual realm is called the kingdom of darkness or the underworld, the second heaven out of which the demons operate, where one third of the fallen angels reside. Both of these kingdoms are invisible to us yet we interact with them in our daily walk in a regular basis. Hebrews 13:2 “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.” So that these types of interactions are real and can be beneficial to us if we understand how they are continuously working on our behalf to aid us. Also our understanding of these interactions can be helpful in protecting us from the unwanted intrusions that originate from the underworld and the creatures of darkness that are always coming against us. Hebrews 13:6 “So we may boldly say: ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me (since God has angels working on our behalf)?’” Here is revelation, if the creatures of the spiritual realm, the fourth dimension, have the abilities to interact with and or interfere with our three-dimensional time/space, can we then, the creatures that dwell in the physical three-dimensional realm cross over and interact with the spiritual realm which is in the fourth dimension and do that to our advantage? Luke 10:17-21 “Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.’ And He said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits (the invisible energy creatures) are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in (the third) heaven.’” Jesus gives to us a tremendous insight into what the power of His name here on earth really entails. He tells them, do not just rejoice in the fact that in mine name the invisible creatures of the fourth dimension are subject to you, but rejoice in the fact that your names are written in heaven. What I believe that means is that not only are the creatures of the fourth dimension subject to us in His name, but that the creation itself falls under our jurisdiction as well, for it is from the third heaven that the creation itself is ruled from, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven! Romans 8:19, 21 “For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God...because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” The creation is not just waiting for us to show up, but it says that it is eagerly waiting for us to be liberated from our bondage to a false reality that hold us captive to the natural world. What is it that keeps our understanding in chains? Hosea 3:6 & 6:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.” There’s a couple of insights into the passages we just quoted from Hosea; First, a burnt offering sacrifice is the act of converting something that is real physical matter, back into its original invisible state, by releasing the particles that form a physical body, the sacrifice, from the force that holds that body together as a visible unit, through the agency of fire. In other words, taking something that though visible is comprised of invisible particles and releasing those invisible particles back into the invisible realm as an act of worship. Which brings us to the second point, the knowledge of God that is gained by understanding what a burnt offering really meant to begin with. So that in all of this, it was always our understanding of the mechanics of how the physical and spiritual realms interact that God was after: I desire mercy and not sacrifice...knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom (revealed knowledge by His sacrificial act on the cross) from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.” Here is what I believe all these things mean; The creation began when God spoke and said: Let there be light (energy), and then He proceeded to complete the creation with all of the energy that He first released out of His mouth, so that everything that exists now, both visible and invisible, were made and are sustained by the Word that came out of God’s mouth. John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He (the Word) was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him (the Word), and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Not only did God make everything by the breath of His mouth, but as we read earlier, He also sustains everything as well by the breath of His mouth. Acts 17:28 “For in Him we live and move and have our being.” John 1:14 “And the Word became flesh…” Energy became matter! And they named Him, the energy that became matter, Jesus. All the invisible particles that are made of energy, whether joined together to form some physical visible body, or loosed in their invisible form somewhere in the universe, all have to answer to the name of Jesus, no matter whatever state they are in. For Jesus is the force that created them, that sustains them, and that governs them. Philippians 2:9-10 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him (the Word that became flesh) and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven (invisible four-dimensional spiritual realm, third heaven), and of those on the earth (the physical three-dimensional visible realm), and of those under the earth (the second heaven four-dimensional spiritual underworld, the realm of darkness).” So that from a scientific point of view, those of us whose names have been written in heaven, have been invested with authority in the name of Jesus, to rule over the invisible realm of particles that make up everything in the universe, both the physical and invisible. And not only are we expected to exercise that authority, but the crea tion itself eagerly waits for us to exercise such authority. Mark 11:23 “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not d oubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Notice how Jesus tells us where the power resides, whoever says, the power resides in the words that we speak. If it is a mountain of dirt and rocks that we are speaking to, that dirt and those rocks are made of invisible energy particles that respond to the Word of God, the energy that causes some particles to hold together and others to repel each other, those energy particles can make such a mountain disappear in a second by just disbanding. You see, as those particles start to repel one another at the command of God’s Word, such mountain can disappear in an instant into thin air. Now you see it and now you don’t, just like that. But in our natural mind, which is confined to our present reality, when we first read about that huge mountain disappearing, immediately our mind turns to, how many buckets does it take to carry all that dirt out and where in the world are we going to put it? Let’s talk about another type of mountain, let’s say, a cancerous tumor that threatens the life of a loved one; what is that cancer made out of? Invisible particles that bond together and are continuously growing. In the natural if we cut that cancer out, chances are that it may spread to other parts of the body, also if it is growing in an organ that is vital to life, will such removal cause more damage than help? What if by a simple word of faith that understands not only how things are made and function, but that as believers we have such authority in the name of Jesus to cause such tumor to disappear without spreading or damaging anything to which is connected within that body, in an instant. Many years ago, there was a man here in California who was originally from my home town in Cuba, he was older than me and a friend of my eight years older brother, that was my only knowledge of him. Through my brother I found out that he was dying of a cancerous tumor in his stomach. Every time my brother spoke about him and his trials the Holy Spirit convicted me to go and pray for this man, I was young in my faith and resisted by saying to myself, probably this man does not even remember me or know who I am, for I was a kid the last time he saw me. One morning my brother told me that after years of struggling with that cancer, his friend was about to die and that they gave him his last rites that night in the hospital and he was not expected to make it through that morning. I rushed to the hospital thinking that if I didn’t the Holy Spirit would be grieved by my disobedience and that maybe this man would not make it to heaven. When I got there, it was a horrible scene, he could not eat so he was less than eighty pounds, they had earlier opened his stomach in surgery, but the tumor was too big and because of where it was could not be removed. He had tried to get out of the bed and had fallen to the floor and was put back into his bed before I got there, and there was some kind of fluid on the floor by his bed just as I walked in and stepped in it. I remember speaking to God in my mind and saying: Lord I think you got the wrong man, I am just not cut out for this type of ministry. The man woke up and looked at me startled, I told him that I was Carlos’ brother and had come to see him. I saw shame in his eyes and I don’t know why. He did not seem to want to talk to me or look at me anymore, desperate to fulfill whatever mission God had sent me there for I asked him if he had a Bible as I looked at a funeral brochure that his wife had left by his bed, how I connected the Bible with a funeral pamphlet I’ll never know, but when I mentioned the word Bible his eyes lit up and he told me, almost in a cheerful mode how he would love to have a Bible in the Spanish language. I ran out as fast as I could to the church I attended miles away, where I knew my pastor kept Spanish language Bibles to pass out. When I got back to his hospital room he was not there anymore, they had moved him to another facility to die there, I met his wife in the hallway who told me many of the things that I just shared with you about his condition, but she remarked how elated he was that I had gone there to take him a Bible and how he insisted that she stay back and wait for the Bible that I promised him. That night was Friday night when we normally had a home Bible study, which I could not teach for I felt like such a failure. I told those who showed up for the study how I had failed and broke into tears. They were nice to me and understood, we had fellowship and they left. Just then, my nephew who had taken his dad, my brother, to see if he could see his friend one more time before he died called me and said: What did you do to that man? He could not stop talking about you showing up and taking him a Bible and what a difference that had made in his life, it was like somebody else showed up there and ministered to this man and I know it wasn’t me, but I was somehow getting the credit for it. He told the nurses that he was hungry and wanted to eat. I think that eventually they started to feed him again and that weekend he accepted the Lord as his savior watching a Jimmy Swagger service that was translated into the Spanish language. One week later I went to see him again before they released him from the hospital. He told me that they could not find the cancer and that it was gone. So, they were sending him home and he was thanking me for the Bible that brought such a change in his life. I prayed and asked the Lord what had really happened that day, for this man’s recollection of what happened and mine were totally different. The Lord in a stern tone said to me; the results are never left up to you, and by that He meant men, the only thing left to you men to do is for you to obey Me when I call you and to show up. And knowing that I was, as a teacher of His Word, interested in what mechanism He had used to heal that man, He told me, when you mentioned the word Bible, the spirit of that man understood it as My Word and what My Word desired to do on behalf of that man. You went just along for the ride so that I could teach you not to trust in the reality that you see, but in the reality of My Word. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” As we proceed into the last days of this age, reality, or should I say, our perception of it, is going to get more and more difficult to comprehend with our natural abilities. That is because our world has been programmed by this end time deception to tune into the world of the supernatural that is driven by the rulers of darkness as we get closer to the end of this age. We as believers have to depend totally, so that we can spiritually discern what’s happening, on the fidelity of the Word of God and our understanding of what it teaches us in regards to what is really real and what is not. We need to remember that the world with all its lusts is passing away, while the promises of God remain forever. What are you clinging to? I will ask one more time: What is real? God so loved the world that He sent Jesus to save us; that is real! Jesus died to forgive and to cleanse us from all our sins; that is real! Jesus is coming back to judge both the living and the dead; that is real! The trials and tribulations that we are facing are temporary; that is real! The blessings of God for enduring trials faithfully are eternal; that is real! If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him right now, just as you are, for they that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved; Now it does not get any more real than that, does it? Thank you Jesus for allowing me the privilege to proclaim Your Word! More teachings found here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings

  • STABILITY FOR OUR TIMES | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) asks why do we have to go through trials? Why is it that we all must suffer indignations? It was Jesus who told us that in this world you will have tribulations. Top of Page STABILITY FOR OUR TIMES Isaiah 33:6 “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times, and the strength of salvation; the fear of the Lord is His treasure.” Why do we have to go through trials? Why is it that we all must suffer indignations? It was Jesus who told us that: In this world you will have tribulations. We humans by nature, are creatures of comfort for the most part; we do not like it if gets too hot, and we certainly do not like when our feet get too cold. We can safely assume that the most prevalent of all human fantasies, and the only one whose realization has eluded humanity throughout all of its history, is the utopian fantasy of a society that is void of trouble. For millennia those who lived near the ocean dreamed and longed for oceans that were void of hurricanes, tsunamis, and of invading war ships. Those who lived by rivers, lived in fear of its drying up or of its seasonal flooding, also in the fear of armies that used rivers as a highway to facilitate their conquests. Old cities were usually built around the natural resources that allowed them to grow and to prosper, and the fear that they might lose those resources or that those resources might attract enemies, were the very cause for their anxiety and insecurity, and in many cases the reason for their demise as well; that is just a historical fact of life. Our opening verse of Scripture seems to imply that our knowledge of the fact that, In this world we will have tribulations, will somehow bring stability into the times in which we are living, whether it be the good times or the bad times. Proverbs 18:14 “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?” The wisdom of God will sustain the spirit of the man, and the knowledge that in all things and that at all times God is in total and complete control of whatever situation we are facing, is the hope of the soul and the strength of the salvation that God has for all of us. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” If we know that God is always working out the plan and destiny that He has for our lives, and the lives of those who love Him, then we have peace, and that peace is the strength of our salvation. Our spirit becomes sick or broken when we lose hope, and our lack of understanding is the reason why we lose our hope. We need to know deep within our souls that in order for our salvation to be strengthened, our faith must be tried, for without God’s testing in our lives we will never find the treasures that our Lord has for us all. The fear of the Lord, which is the reverence due to the promises given to us, the believers, by God in His Word, are His treasure! Abraham had to face the death of his son, the son of promise, before he could find the life of the Son of God that was promised to him in the covenant that followed his testing. A parent might ask from the depths of their bereavement, after the death of their innocent child: How does the death of my child that I loved be in any way constructive to me and to the plans that God has for my life? That is a question that only God is qualified to answer, since it was He who voluntarily gave us His most precious Son, not only to die, but to be vilified and tortured; not just physical torture, but He had to endure horrific demonic oppression to the depths that no other human had ever endured, and unlike us who are worthy of punishment because of all our sins, He endured all that He did for the sake of demonstrating His perfect love for us; that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Matthew 19:14 “ But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’” I’ve officiated over a few funerals in my ministry life, they ranged from complete strangers that I had never met, to very close dear loved ones whose departure broke my heart. The resurrection Scriptures that I’ve quoted over the strangers that I buried would not have had as much meaning and intensity to me if it were not for the fact that they were the very same resurrection Scriptures that I’ve quoted over the loved ones that I’ve buried. Though about to be buried, I proclaimed those Scriptures over them in the hope that some day I would see them alive again in the flesh. In a gravesite service for a Christian elderly woman whom I had never met, and in the presence of a few people that included some of the workers that would be burying her after I finish the service, all of the sudden I had tears rundown my face when I spoke about the surety of her resurrection from the dead someday. The people that were present did not know that as I was speaking with conviction of faith about her future resurrection from the dead, that the Lord spoke to my heart and said to me, You might not have known who she was in this life, but one day soon you will meet her in person when I raise all my children who trust My Words from the dead. It was there that it became so real to me; for right there it hit me, the reality that we have not followed cunningly devised fables, for we were eye witnesses of Christ’s resurrection, one of the apostles said. Death may loom large above us now while on this earth, but the reality of His resurrected life dissipates all gloominess and fears, for we know that someday soon He will raise us up. Isaiah 33:10 “Now I will rise, says the Lord; now I will be exalted, now I will lift Myself up.” For us Christians, death is a non-issue , or at least it should be. I am not saying that it does not hurt when we lose a loved one, for it does; or that we should not mourn properly, for it is necessary for us to do so. Who among us has not experienced the death of a loved one or will one day experience the sting of death for ourselves? For it is appointed unto men once to die. The revelation of the knowledge that I am trying to teach here revolves around the fact that to God all live. And if we are believers of the Word of God, then according to God’s Word the loved ones that we’ve lost are not dead, and must certainly they are not lost; we have been separated from them temporarily, but they are definitely neither lost nor dead to God. 2 Samuel 12:22-23 “...While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who can tell whether the Lord will be gracious to me, that the child may live? But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.’” The foundation of Christianity itself stands on the fact of the reality of the physical resurrection from the dead. We do not believe in a sort of a wishy-washy existence after we’re dead that somehow coexists with the elements of nature. After we die we do not live as spirits among the trees or the mountains, not even in the clouds; as believers of Jesus Christ, after we die we go to a real place called heaven, in a new body that is given to us after we die, and we are taken before our living Savior, who is sitting in a real throne with a real physical body. And not only that but the loved ones that preceded us will be there to greet us as well, along with our Savior. And we need to know these facts if we want to enjoy rock solid stability in the face of calamities. 2 Corinthians 5:1 “For we know that if our earthly house, this tent (our physical body) is destroyed (dies), we have a building from God, a house (new body) not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.” Our new eternal bodies will display the spiritual qualities that our earthly bodies presently hinder, for while here in our present physical appearance we are not capable of displaying our true person. So that our person will be known in heaven to all who knew us here on the earth, even though the physical appearance of our new body in heaven might differ a lot from what we looked like here on earth. Children and infants will be grown ups for example. That is because many if not all of us, have bodies here on this earth that have been deformed by the consequences of the iniquity which our bodies have inherited, the iniquities that caused the development of our present bodies to deviate from God’s original blue print for us. But our redeemed personalities will be showcased through the perfectness of our new bodies in an incredibly amazing choreography of God’s individuality for each one of us, that will be made known to all: We will know as we are known! Isaiah 33:24 “And the inhabitant will not say, ‘I am sick’; the people who dwell in it (their new bodies) will be forgiven their iniquities.” The wisdom of knowing that we are but sojourners on this earth, and that our destiny is one of gain, peace, and perfection, brings into our souls the stability that keeps us strong through whatever adversities we must travel; for in the end, His great and precious promises are the treasure that will reward our faithfulness if we don’t give up! • THE HEALING OF THE DISEASED | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) explains we can safely surmise that powerlessness is the root cause of all those who are diseased, and that is why it is preceded by the word performed. Top of Page THE HEALING OF THE DISEASED John 6:2 “Then a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His signs which He performed on those who were diseased.” Diseased: Feeble, Impotent, Sick. All of the above are Greek meanings for the word translated diseased. We can safely surmise that powerlessness is the root cause of all those who are diseased, and that is why it is preceded by the word performed. In other words, Jesus was able to perform on behalf of those who were powerless, that which they were unable to do for themselves. Jesus strengthened the feeble, He healed the sick, and He empowered the powerless to do that which they were not able to do for themselves. No wonder a great multitude followed Him, for no matter what the sickness or the need was of anyone that came to Jesus, they were all empowered to overcome their deficiencies. John 5:46-47 “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” Jesus gave those who doubted Him and His ministry, an earth shaking revelation, one that we will do well to appreciate and understand. We humans have the tendency to focus on the actions instead of the causes. I am sure that many of those who followed Jesus did so because of the signs; they saw results, so why bother with the causes. In other words, they did not worry where the power that Jesus exercised was coming from as long as they themselves became the beneficiaries of that power. As long as they were healed it did not matter to them where the power originated from. Meanwhile, on the other side we find the ones that were questioning the ministry of Jesus, they just simply ignored the results of His ministry, for they could not accept that a single human could have been vested with so much power by God Himself. John 5:18 “Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him (Jesus), because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.” What was earth shaking about what Jesus told them was that if they had believed what Moses wrote to them, then they should have believed in Him as well, for Moses had told them about Jesus before Jesus even came to this earth. Deuteronomy 18:15,18 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear...I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.” The Jews of Jesus’ day were raised to know the Scriptures and to abide by them. They believed that the miracles that God performed through the hands of Moses happened as written in the Scriptures. They also believed and were looking for the Prophet that Moses told them that God would raise from their own brethren in the future. Now if one believes the promises that Moses wrote, and if one sees Jesus doing great signs and wonders, that which only God is able to do, the only reasonable conclusion that one can arrive at is that Jesus is the One that Moses had promised them would come. Their leaders rejected Jesus because they did not really believe deep down in their hearts the writings of Moses, that is what Jesus told them: But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words? And the majority of the multitudes that followed Jesus at first, rejected Him afterwards, by publicly demanding that a murderer be released instead of Jesus; because they saw Jesus as one who could not empower them anymore, after He had fallen into the hands of the Romans. Mark 15:32 “‘Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.’ Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him.” So that both, their leaders, and many who witnessed the great wonders that Jesus performed among them, were eventually deceived and missed out on the benefits of the salvation that God had worked in their midst and on their behalf. So what are we looking for here that can help us today? Let us begin with two simple questions! 1) Do we have leaders in our midst today that profess to believe in the written Word of God, but deep within their hearts deny its power? 2) Do we have people today that follow after those whose ministry demonstrates signs and wonders, but really do not care where their power originates from as long as they get personal results? Here is the answer to the first question: 2 Timothy 3:1, 5 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Here is the answer to the second question: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” Many real believers have fallen into the trap of certain ministries that project a real power and anointing, but who in reality do not fully adhere to true biblical teachings as evidenced by their carnality. And by the time those believers decide to turn away from such people, they begin to realize the spiritual damage that their involvement with such ministry caused them. On the other hand there are those who sit under ministries that proclaim the Word of God but deny that its power is for today. Those folks can never achieve their true destiny in Christ Jesus for lack of faith. So what is the answer? Here is what Jesus told the believers of His day: John 5:38-40 “But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He send, you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” In the days of Jesus there had been many others who had claimed to be the Messiah, and some of them had gather themselves many followers. So that there was a real need to be careful. But this is what Jesus told them, You do not have His word abiding in you. Their problem was that they were not living out the Word of God. But you may say, were they not searching out The Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life? They were searching out the Scriptures alright, but they could not find Jesus in them, and if they did, they were Not willing to come to Me (Jesus) that you may have life. So what is going on here? Believe it or not, at the root of this problem is law and grace. When the Jews of Jesus’ day searched the Scriptures this is what they were looking for, Let the Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. They were looking for a King that would save them from the Romans, not a Savior that would save them from their sins. That is the reason why they could not find, or were not willing to accept the testimony of the Scriptures about Jesus. They searched the Scriptures for a King and not a Savior. It was very clear within the writings of Moses that the law condemned, and that the only remedy for sin was the shedding of innocent blood. For it was written that the soul that sinned shall surely be cut off. So here was the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world hanging on the cross, bleeding to make atonement for their transgressions, and they are telling Him to come down from there so that He can earn their faith. One cannot get anymore selfish than that! Now let us bring this lesson to our present situation. Which Jesus are you looking for today, the One who will make all your troubles disappear in an instant by coming down from the cross and cater to your every need, or the One who is making you conscious of your need to be delivered from your sinful nature? John 5:26-27 “For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.” To be diseased is to be dead in trespasses and sin, in order for us to be alive we need to abide in Him, to abide in His Word, and in His grace. Once we come into the knowledge that His grace is sufficient for us, and that there is no need to follow the signs and the wonders, then the signs and wonders will follow our faith, if we dare to trust in His Word. And as we stand firmly in His grace, which also means favor, we know that all things are possible for those of us who believe, therefore we will never deny the power that is in His Word, nor limit our faith to the point of hindering the destiny that He has for each one of us who dare to trust Him to the uttermost. • WHY DOES SATAN WANT YOU SO MUCH | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents the following: Have you ever asked yourself why does Satan want me? It’s an interesting question and opens up the Bible by bringing a more complete understanding of the entire picture, and it goes back to the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. Top of Page Top of Page WHY DOES SATAN WANT YOU SO MUCH? Written by Lisa Kane Have you ever asked yourself why does Satan want me? It’s an interesting question and opens up the Bible by bringing a more complete understanding of the entire picture, and it goes back to the very beginning in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 2:8 New King James Version (NJKV) 8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. Genesis 2:15-20 (NJVK) 15 Then the Lord God took [d ]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [e ]tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[f ] shall surely die.” 18 And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” 19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to [g ]Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. The above scriptures show us that Adam was in the Garden of Eden without Eve for some amount of time. We don’t know how much time because the Bible doesn't tell us, but we can guess that at least several months to maybe a handful of years went by where there was no Eve. How do I know this? How many animals, beasts, and birds did God create that Adam named and how long do you think it took Adam to name them all? Imagine this, let’s say God brought in a male and female animal that were gray, big, and heavy with trunks on them and Adam says I will call these elephants. What-if God asked Adam why? And what-if Adam asked God why a skinny tail versus a bigger tail to match its girth? You see God and Adam were talking or having a relationship. They were spending time with one another. God interacted with the image He made of Himself. Genesis 1:26a (NKJV) 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; We were made extremely different then any other creature God had already made. We don’t look like the angels and to top it all off, God was spending time with Adam, not the other angels. Which begs the question, who was in the Garden of Eden watching? Ezekiel 28:13 (NKJV) 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. Satan was in the garden of Eden and he was watching everything going on. He was perplexed and confused to say the least. He couldn’t figure out how could God spend so much time with such an inferior creature? When comparing man against his beauty, there was no comparison. He was made with every precious stone and was so beautiful, yet God wasn’t spending time with him…no he was spending time with Adam. When Satan saw that God placed a female in the Garden and left to give Adam and Eve a ‘honeymoon’, Satan wanted to show God how inferior this creature was. In fact, he wanted to make it such a point to rub it in His face…and was probably thinking that he could do a better job in creating creatures. And that is why Satan wanted us. And he continues to want us to this day because every time he wins, he's hurting God. Satan doesn't care about who you are or what you do but he does care that God loves you so much that he'll do everything in his power to hurt you because he knows it will hurt God. To put it simply, Satan hates God and everything God loves, Satan hates. God showed His love by spending time with Adam. Love is action and God is action. I bet Satan thought he was right when he deceived Eve and Adam. Genesis 3:1-6 (NKJV) 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a ]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves [b ]coverings. But God. He had a bigger plan all along. John 3:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. We’re made in His image and He loves us. He paid a large price, the death of His Son on the cross, to get us back from the curse of sin when Adam and Eve disobeyed God because of Satan's hatred toward Him. Romans 6:23 (NKJV) 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the [a ]gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. After Adam and Eve sinned, they began aging and eventually died. But Jesus broke death by rising from the dead. Matthew 28:6a (NKJV) 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Hallelujah! Now you and I can rise from certain death by believing and Satan may want to hurt us to hurt God but he can't hurt us anymore. God made a way for us to be saved! Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And all it takes is talking to God. It began as a relationship with God and Adam, and it will end in a relationship with God and me (you). Say this out loud: Dear Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross. Forgive me of my sins and come into my life. Be my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ Name Amen! Praise the Lord! You are now saved through Jesus Christ and don’t let anyone or anything tell you otherwise. Protect yourself by staying in that relationship with God because where God is, Satan isn’t. • O JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM! | HoFM

House of Faith Ministries (HoFM) presents a teaching on Luke 13:34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together... Top of Page O JERUSALEM, JERUSALEM! Luke 13:34 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!” Jerusalem is the city of the Great King, and as such, she represents the dwelling place of all those who make Jesus their King. Matthew 5:35 “...Nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.” Jesus is lamenting the fact that those who dwell in His city and are under His protection from the enemy, do not take heed to His warnings and run to Him in the face of danger, just as when a hen makes a warning sound and her chicks run under her covering for protection. What is it that makes men unwilling to run to God in times of danger? Many do not know God’s lovingkindness and compassion well enough, so they fear Him, others do not trust God enough to run to Him in their hour of need, while others do not think that God cares for them, so they say to themselves, why bother. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” Is no wonder that the enemy uses fear to try and scare away from God those who are not really sure of God’s unconditional love for them, once the devil gets them away from God’s protection they become easy prey. I believe that this kind of fear will be the greatest factor that will be at play at the soon return of Jesus, when He comes to take us to be with Him in the clouds, while He judges those left back here on the earth. When the dreadful signs appear in the sky that His return is imminent, I fear that many believers will not see Jesus as coming to rescue them, but rather to judge them, due to the fact that they have not been made perfect in God’s love, you can get so embroiled on religious traditions and practices, that you forget what real Christianity is all about. I know that I harp on this a lot, but I truly believe that so many Christians in this present generation have been sold a bill of goods that does not measure up to what the Scriptures really teach about what is going to happen at Jesus’ return. For years I believed that the rapture would be an event that would happen instantly and without warning, for that was how many Christian movies about the rapture portrayed it, and the endless preachings that nobody knew the day nor the hour, so why bother to look for His return. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6 “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, ‘Peace and safety!’ then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.” Notice the stark contrast that Paul creates between light and darkness, and between those who know what the coming events entails and between those who do not know. Those of us who believe, have the Scriptures, that is why Paul tells us that we (should) know perfectly that Jesus’ return will catch the unbelievers by surprise, but then he says: but you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. The reason why it should not overtake us as a thief is because we are children of light, we have the Scriptures to enlighten us, and then he underscores what the Scriptures teach about Jesus’ return: but let us watch and be sober, watch for what you may ask? His return of course. Luke 21:27 “Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.” Now here is the key to what I am harping about; when Jesus appears in the cloud everybody will see Him, believers as well as unbelievers, what Paul is trying to teach us has more to do with how we are going to react when we see Him, will we see Him as a judge or as a savior. No doubt the world will be surprised when He appears, for they will see Him as a judge coming to judge them, and they are not, and have not been looking forward to that, however, we should see Him as a Savior coming to rescue us, for we have been anxiously awaiting for His return. But what if you have been told for years and years, as I was, that nobody knows about His return, so don’t bother with it, how will you react then, when you see Him in the cloud and all those people around you are running to the bomb shelters, will you run with them to get away from Him? Or will you with a firm and secure voice tell those around you what the Scriptures declare, that they that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved? Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” In Luke 21:26 Jesus tells us that men’s heart will be failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken, which is what we see occurring in the Scripture that we just quoted from in the book of Acts. In the midst of the heavens and the earth becoming unglued, will you be able to say with complete assurance to those around you that, that is your Jesus coming in the cloud to take you away from all this chaos? And will you also be able to tell them what the Scriptures declare, that if they call upon the name of the Lord that they too shall be saved? That will very much depend on whether deep within your heart His perfect love for you, has casted out all fears, and also as to whether you have a reasonable understanding of what Scriptures teach will happen at His return. I always thank God for His grace and mercy that makes up for all that we do not know or understand, for He truly loves us, but as children of the Light we have an obligation to receive the enlightenment of His truth, if for nothing else, that we may be of help to those around us when that glorious day finally appears. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem...How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!” Remember our opening Scripture? Well, Jerusalem plays a very key role in the end time fulfillment of prophecy as it pertains to the return of Jesus to the earth, if we understand this next Scripture it will help us even more to be ready and to know that His return is imminent. Zechariah 12:2-3 “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” The Scriptures clearly indicate that Judah in general, present day Israel, and Jerusalem in particular, will be the focus point that will initiate the return of the Lord to the earth. Many Scriptures point to an invasion of the land of Judah by a confederacy of nations to the north of Israel, to remove Jerusalem from been the capitol of Israel will be their main objective, while the extermination of the Jewish nation will be their overall goal. Zechariah 12:9 “It shall be in that day that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” Before God’s final judgment against humanity begins, He will show Himself Holy to the nations of the world, that means that He will perform a miraculous deliverance of behalf of the city of Jerusalem, by supernaturally destroying all the nations that attacked Jerusalem. We will witness that invasion, and it will be a sign to us to get ready, for when Jesus reveals Himself to destroy those invading nations, it will also be the time when He reveals Himself to all who want to be taken out of this world. The timing of the invasion of the land of Israel by a northern confederacy may come as a surprise to us, but not the outcome, for when that invasion takes place, we are pretty much done here on the earth. 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9 “But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” More Teachings Found Here: Deliverance Ministry End Times Teachings Other Teachings
