THE 490th The objective of this teaching is to explore the prophetic significance of the number 490 as revealed in Daniel 9:24, connecting it to God’s divine timeline for Israel and Jerusalem, and to highlight how this prophetic cycle reveals God’s plan for judgment, mercy, and ultimate redemption. It also aims to show believers the connection between prophecy, forgiveness, and God’s mercy, urging the church to recognize the urgency of salvation and the call to repentance before the final seven-year tribulation. THE 490th Minister Lisa Kane June 15, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to explore the prophetic significance of the number 490 as revealed in Daniel 9:24, connecting it to God’s divine timeline for Israel and Jerusalem, and to highlight how this prophetic cycle reveals God’s plan for judgment, mercy, and ultimate redemption. It also aims to show believers the connection between prophecy, forgiveness, and God’s mercy, urging the church to recognize the urgency of salvation and the call to repentance before the final seven-year tribulation. Synopsis: In this lesson, Lisa Kane examines Daniel 9:24 and the prophetic vision delivered by the angel Gabriel, which outlines a 490-year period assigned to Israel and Jerusalem. This period serves as God’s “to-do list” to bring an end to transgression, sin, and iniquity, to establish everlasting righteousness, to fulfill prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy One—Jesus Christ. The teaching explains how 483 years were fulfilled from the decree to rebuild Jerusalem to the crucifixion of Christ, leaving one final seven-year period still unfulfilled. This final period, described in Daniel and Revelation, corresponds to the tribulation where the Antichrist will rise, Israel will experience great turmoil, and God will pour out His wrath as both judgment and mercy—giving humanity one last chance to repent. Lisa also ties in Jesus’ teaching on forgiveness, emphasizing the significance of forgiving “seventy times seven” (490) as a reflection of God’s boundless mercy. Just as God extends repeated opportunities for repentance, believers are called to walk in continual forgiveness. The lesson closes with a call to action for the church to embrace grace now, boldly share the gospel, and help others escape judgment by pointing them to Jesus, whose mercies are new every morning. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kan and I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, thank you for your word. Lord, your word will not return void and we know that your word that gets planted in our hearts will manifest later. So Lord, let the seeds be planted. Let us receive and be aware and hear your teaching today and know what mercy is about and know what your return is about. We thank you in the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. I'm glad you can be here today to watch this lesson. It's um very interesting one, a little bit different. We're going to be talking about a number. So the number is the 490th. So let's go to our opening scripture here. Uh we're in Daniel 9:24. We're going to be uh in different scriptures but a lot in Daniel here 9. So uh let's start with reading. 70 weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. So we're going to be talking about the number 490. And you're going to see here in a moment how 490 years are decreed or determined through uh to Israel and Jerusalem. And we're going to show what 490 represents and how God works in that time period, not just to the nation of Israel, but to the believer. And as a believer, these are things that we have to deal with. So now I also want to make sure that anyone who's new, you understand how I teach. So when I bring up a screen print like this or a screenshot uh PowerPoint presentation uh I bring up the scripture in King James version. The bold word is the original in King James. Anything in parenthesis is either something I've added or it is something that um is another word defined for that word through the Hebrews strong the strongs Hebrew Greek dictionary. Okay. Um, so I use that as my teaching tools when I'm here. So let's start off. We got to lay some foundation here to understand what 490 means. So right now what I'm showing you in Daniel 9 is Gabriel the angel is talking to Daniel. Daniel has fasted 21 days. He had a vision and so Gabriel is giving him this vision. It's the word from the Lord. So he says here 70 weeks. So the word week means year. Here it's translated as years. So we're looking at 490 year time period. And he says here 490 years are determined upon thy people. So he's talking to Daniel. So who is Daniel's people? The Israelites. So he's talking to Israel. And upon thy holy city. Who is the holy city? Jerusalem. It's capital of Israel to finish. Now I want you to see something here. God just assigned 490 years to Israel to accomplish this list of things that he has to do. So, you're about to see God's to-do list. Yes, God has a to-do list. And as he completes everything, he's going to be checking off his to-do list. We I I don't know about you, but I've used to-do list throughout the years of my life. Is a great tool to have. So here God is sharing his to-do list with us. Now I want to make certain that you understand something here. He is saying this is for Israel and Jerusalem. I don't see the church in there and I don't see the body of Christ in there. He doesn't say and righteous believers or anyone else like this. No, he says to Israel and Jerusalem. So let's go over this checklist. Let's lay this foundation so we can understand what the 490th is about. Amen. Okay. So it says to finish which is restrict withhold the transgression. A transgression is a re uh a revolt a rebellion. Now he assigned 490 years to Israel. Are people still revoling rebellion today? Yes. We're seeing protest uh over this weekend. No kings and then uh no kings day uh protest. you're seeing um anti-Israel protest and save Palestine and get rid of ISIS. All kinds of rebellions and revolts going on right now. So he says, okay, 490 years and and this was written probably about I don't know 500 years before Jesus, maybe a little less than that before Jesus was born. So, you're looking at a time period here that should have already been done, but it's not because Jesus came. Anyways, it tells you in Daniel. Let's go take a look at that. Says to finish the transgression and to make an end of sins. Now, a sin is an offense. You offend God when you sin. And it could be anything. Anything can offend, you know, if you choose to ignore him today. He's the farthest from your mind. That's sin. And and some people think, oh, it's just murder, lying, cheating, whatever. No, sin is just being away from God. That's also sin. So he says, okay, 490 years, I'm going to complete the rebellion. I'm going to shut that down. And then I'm going to shut down the offense, the sin. Okay? And this hasn't happened yet. What else is he going to do? and to make reconciliation for iniquity. He's going to cover or cancel perversity. Iniquity is being perverse. Now you're purposely doing something against God. You can see the different levels here. You've got a rebellion, you've got offense, and now you have intent. This is where someone is pervertly they're they're doing it on a a perverse way. they're um purposely misleading or purposely hurting. They have an intent to harm. That's what this is about. Again, he says though he's going to cover that. And that's interesting because see, none of that has happened yet, but he says he's going to do it. Now, remember, prophecy is still being fulfilled. So, this is all on the horizon. It is coming. It will be completed. says uh and to bring in everlasting righteousness. Now everlasting righteousness means you are righteous every moment of every day. I don't know about you, but when I go to sleep, what am I my dreams? I have no control over those. Am I not being righteous at that point? Am I sinning? You see, so we are not in this perfection of completion that God said he's going to do on his checklist. It's not there. What else did he say he's going to do? and to seal up vision and prophecy. So prophecy still has to be completed. Vision needs to complete it. All of God's written word still needs to be done. That hasn't happened. Even though he says, "I'm giving you 490 years to do this." So watch how this works out. Then he says, "And to anoint the most holy," which we know would be Jesus. We know that Jesus came and we know that he went to the cross and that he for is forgiving everyone. He brought mercy with him. He didn't come to judge the world. Not as the the son of God as the Messiah on the cross. He will judge later when he is king. He is coming back to that at the end of Revelation. You can go check that out. So now let's go to the next scripture because there has to be a butt in here because it hasn't happened yet. You see what I'm saying? So he says here, know therefore and understand. So he's telling you, I want you to think about this intellectually. I want you to cognitively think this through. Be pay attention. He says that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the prince. Stop here. He's giving us a window. It says when the command goes forth to restore and build Jerusalem. Okay, so Daniel lived at the time when Israel was taken into captivity under Babylon. Now remember, if you read all of the book of Daniel, you will find that there's Babylon, there's uh the prince of, let's see, Babylon, the Greeks, the Mes Persians, and then Rome. All of that is prophesied in Daniel, but Daniel is living in the time of Babylon. Nehemiah and Ezra, they're living about 20 to 30 years later. So when Nehemiah gets the king's decree, because see Nehemiah, go read the book of Nehemiah, go read the book of Ezra, they went and rebuilt the city because Jeremiah the prophet, all these prophets, Jeremiah the prophet actually prophesied and Daniel understood it that they would be in captivity for 70 years and they were. So that 70 years was coming up to an end. And so now the people of Israel can go back, but the place is a disaster. So Ezra and Nehemiah, they go back and rebuild and restore. They have a revival that actually takes place in this. Now imagine that happening to the church today. Amen. We rebuild. We go back and rebuild our holy temple with the Lord and and come into his sacrifices that way. Anyways, I digress. So here Dan, Gabriel's telling Daniel when that commandment goes forth and I'm guessing Daniel was alive at that time or he set people in motion to watch because remember the magi showed up when Jesus was a toddler and uh they they didn't actually show up at the manger. They showed up a couple years later following the the signs of the stars. That was implemented by Daniel because Daniel knew the numbers. He knew 490 but he also knew what this is about to say. So when that decree that's your starting point then it says unto Messiah the prince. So from the moment the decree that went through Nehemiah and from that king all the way to when Messiah would be born and raised. He says look at the what he says here. He says shall be seven weeks. Now here we go again. Weeks means years. 7 * 7 is 49. 49 years. This is and three score in 2 weeks which is 62 years or 62 * 7 is your 434 years plus that 49 because he's saying and so you got to add it together. You're looking at 483 years. So from Daniel's time, Nehemiah's time, all the way to when Jesus was born, there was 400 plus years, they call it the quiet time where God was not talking during that time. Uh so you see no activity in that time frame uh between those the minor prophets all the way up to when Jesus is born. Very quiet. So now he's saying there's going to be 483 years. And if you go back and look at history, there was. So when Jesus was cut off, now let's read the rest of it because I want you to understand. So he says uh 7 weeks, so 483 years says the street shall be built again and the wall even in trouble times. That's what Nehemiah, that's what Ezra did. They worked on that even and you can go read the trouble that they dealt with in that. It was incredible. Now uh you go to verse 26 and then it says after that time he says here after three score in two weeks. So take that whole time period and put it all together says after the 483 years because see that's the logical because that's when it happened was 43 83 years 483 years later. We're going to get to that in just a second. I want to uh go into that more detail. Shall Messiah be cut off? Okay. So from the time that Nehemiah was given to his his decree to go to Jerusalem to the time when Messiah was cut off, crucified, it would be a total of 483 years. Okay. Now, we don't know the exact dates and our calendars don't match. when I add up the numbers, I'm off by seven or eight years, which is very interesting because remember there's still seven years left after the 490. So there is uh this time period that's there and according to God and he has it in his calendar which is the most important calendar we see 483 years has been completed for Israel and Jerusalem. So 483 are done. And then Messiah was cut off. He was crucified. Now let's read the rest of that. Messiah shall be cut off or Messiah be cut off but not for himself. Remember Jesus first coming wasn't about him becoming king. Even though Israel said, "Oh, you're going to be our king. How are you going to restore the kingdom?" Even uh Peter and James and all of them were asking after he rose from the grave, are you going to restore Israel now? And then Jesus says, it's not for you to know the se times and the seasons. So they were looking for their king to restore the kingdom of Israel. They didn't realize that the prophecies, there's like two sets of prophecies, if you will. One set was for him to come as Messiah, as our savior and another one was to come as king. Now see, they thought savior of Israel because they were taking it personal and that's what had happened. That that is all what really happened. But Jesus will be coming back as a king. So this is not complete. Hold on. Let's let's get a little bit more of this. And but not for himself. So he he did it to pay the ransom and redeem all of us. So he didn't do it for himself. He did it for us. That's him going to the cross for us with permission from God. He He did that. Okay. Then he says, "And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." And we're talking, I should have looked it up, um 20 to 40 years, I think it's 40 years later, Jerusalem was destroyed. Might be 20. Anyways, in that time frame, Jerusalem was destroyed. the whole city they they brought down the walls and it was completely destroyed and burned down. That is history that has physically happened. Then he says here, "And the end thereof shall be with the flood and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." Okay, that part hasn't happened yet. Okay, Jerusalem hasn't been that whole area hasn't been destroyed with a flood. In fact, it was uh a desert for so long. It was desolate. And then Israel came back in 1948 and they got the capital Jerusalem back in 1967. So Jerusalem came back in 1967. This is key to understand some of this stuff. Look what he says here in Revelation 12:16. And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. So, we have seven years left that has not been completed for Israel and Jerusalem. It's not for the church. It's not for the body of Christ. And I will continue to teach on that because the scriptures clearly show we're not involved in that clock. In fact, the clock has paused because Messiah was cut off. And in essence, the ministry was taken away from Israel and was given to the church. Now, we're under a different clock, but there's still seven years that are not complete. The book of Revelation and the book of Daniel talk about that seven years. Now, notice what Daniel was saying. A flood will come in and then look what Revelation says. Swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast. So, the dragon tried to flood Israel. is this is the second half of the seven-year time period called the abomination of desolation. What happens is when the temple is rebuilt, Israel will begin the daily sacrifices all over again. And they will do this under the pretense of peace under a false messiah. They don't know it's false. They're just they're going to believe this person. So at the halfway mark of this last seven years, it's like the 1,200 1,260th day, this antichrist, because that's really what he is, is going to sit on that throne in that temple and he's going to tell Israel, "Worship me. I'm your God." And that's when Jesus tells them, "When you see the abomination of desolation, that's what the abomination of desolation is about. When you see that, run." Well, while they're running, they're going to go hide. The devil is going to try to flood them out and the earth is going to swallow that flood. So, you can see that has not happened, but it was prophesied by Daniel and he talked about the desolation. So, you can see all of these events uh that are going to come in and take place. This is part of um prophecy. Now, just so you have a better understanding of all of this, says uh to so you understand the 7-year time period here, he says in Revelation 11:3, "And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a,23 score days clothed in sackcloth." Sackloth. That's the first half of the 7-year time period. So, this seven-year time period is true. Now, look at this other scripture just so you get a better understanding. says, "And the woman fled into the wilderness." This is Revelation 12:6, "Where she hath a place prepared of God." This is, see, I told you she was going to be running and then the flood's going to come in. So, brought the flood up a little earlier, but and the woman fled into the wilderness where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there 1,23 score days. There you are. You've got a seven-year time period. And I wanted to kind of bring that infrastructure in here that this is the scriptures that is prophesying about all of this stuff that's going to take place. Very, very specific prophecy and it has not happened yet. It's coming. It has not happened yet. So, let's continue back with Daniel because I want you to get the fullness of this. Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week. See, he's talking about the Antichrist. This guy is going to come in for one week or seven years because a week means years. Seven times 1 is seven. Seven years. So he's saying he shall confirm the covenant. He's going to make a the antichrist and Israel are going to make this pact. They're going to make uh a covenant together for this seven-year peace time. And in the midst of the week, he shall curse the sacrifice. In the midst of the week, did you see that? In the midst of the year at this 1,260 days, look what he says is going to happen. He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. See, right at that moment, the daily sacrifices are going to end because he's going to try to sit on the throne and he's going to well, he's going to sit on the throne and he's going to tell Israel, "Hey, you worship me." And Israel is going to be like, "Whoa, we made a mistake. Wrong guy." And they're going to run. And he says here to cease and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate even unto until the consummation or completion and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. This is going to happen. This is an event. Now this is an event for Israel because Israel is the temple. Israel is the chosen people by God. Israel has this time period. So they still have seven years to complete. But look what Peter and Jesus conversed about. It was very very interesting. Uh in Matthew 18:21-22, it says, 'Then came Peter to him and said, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him till seven times? Again, that would mean 49 times. Okay, that's what the scriptur is translating to. And Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee until seven times, but until 70* 7 or 490. This is about forgiveness. Let's look at what Jesus says about forgiveness in Matthew 6:14 and 15. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. So there's something very interesting here that Jesus is showing Peter the church. Peter represents the church. Yeah, he's Israeli. Yes, he's a Hebrew, but he is the one who's the church laid on him, the rock. So the church comes out of Peter and so Jesus tells him, I don't want you just to forgive seven times. I want you to forgive 490 times. Now having this framework now of this the 490th knowing that there's a seven-year time period, what happens in that seven-year time period? God pours out his wrath. Well, hold on a second. his wrath. Yes, he's going to pour out his wrath on the earth and on Israel. And if you go through the scriptures, which I just taught in the last couple lessons where uh when especially when I was talking about forgiveness that the church won't be there, I taught on this when there's 50 days when this creepy um horse scorpion looking thing will go and sting and torment the people. That creature will do that for 50 days. uh excuse me five months and in that five month time period they can't nobody can defend themselves. The only people who are protected and kept from those things are the 144,000 that are sealed in Revelation 7 and the two witnesses and the two witnesses will be eventually killed in the middle of that time period and that's when the antichrist wins and he goes and sits on the throne. So here there the antichrist is prevented from doing anything. But the last uh half three and a half years the antichrist reigns completely. There is actually no representation of God and the 144,000 are sealed and hidden. They're kept away and the devil can't get to them. So here you have this wrath this time period. Why would God do that? What is he up to? Every person that ends up in this seven-year time period are people who say one that God Jesus is not the son of God. And you can test that spirit by going and looking at 1 John 4:1. He tells you to test the spirits. And if they can't say Jesus is the son of God, they're not of God. That's one. And he's pouring out on his wrath on Israel because he says, "I'm going to bring an end to transgression, to sin, to he he's going to end that checklist that we went over in detail earlier. He's going to bring an end to all of that, the iniquity, the sin, the transgression. He's closing it up. Closing up vision and prophecy. He's going to do do that and anoint the most holy." In all of that, he is showing mercy in the last seven years. Wait a second here. Wait a second. If If we're to forgive 490 times, look at what Jesus is showing us. See, if people don't change the way they do things after, let's say 400 times, just to use a number that's easy to understand, do you think that person will change? Do you do you think that person wants to change their life? No. Why? Because it's now a habit and they're going to continue to live in that sin and keep completing that sin over and over again. So, how does God work with someone to get them out of sin? Have you ever seen in your own personal life, all hell breaks loose and then suddenly you're spending a lot of time with God and then you realize he gets you out of it and you're like, "Man, Lord, I thank you." And you start you you end up having a closer relationship with God because of what he took you through because you repented and came back to him. The whole point of that seven years, the last seven years is God is pouring out his wrath to get the attention of these people. And you can go look at the scriptures and they will show you. And they still did not repent. This was all being poured out on them and they still didn't repent. But this was God showing mercy trying to get their attention. Look at, you know, those horselike creature scorpion things are demonic. their demons that they're going to see eye to eye and it's going to look like a man's face. That's what the scriptures tell you. You can go read this and do a little homework on that. Uh I think it's Revelation 8 or nine, but you can go check it out and he will tell you that these things are going to be stinging the people on the earth, tormenting them. They're not allowed to kill them, but they are allowed to torment. Why would God do that? Because he's trying to get your attention. You keep rejecting him over and over. But Jesus continues to forgive them. He's trying to give them more time, more chance to get them saved before it all comes to a conclusion. Because see, Jesus doesn't want to lose any. He doesn't want to lose any. So, there's a day that's coming. Let's look at this in Revelation 6 says verse 12-17. And I beheld when I when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackloth of hair, and the moon became as blood, and the stars of heaven fell into the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll, when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains, and said unto the mountains, and rocks, fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that siteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the lamb, for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand. So, see, he's now saying, this is the time to get saved. This is the time to repent because that is coming and it's going to be so much harder because these people are going to have a hardened heart and they're after all of the hell that they're going to go through on earth before they even get to hell. They're going to say, "No, we're going to continue to reject you." They're going to have a hardened heart. It's going to be harder to get saved in that time period. Now is the time to get a hold of grace. And I've been teaching this now for several lessons. And I'm hoping that you get bold and confident and talk to your family and friends and let them know this is coming because that's for the unbeliever. That's for those who say Jesus is not the son of God. But you and I know better. We know that Jesus is the son of God. We also know that he is showing his compassion to this group of people, giving them chance after chance after chance in hopes that he could even save them. And remember what Lamentation says. Lamentations 3:22 and 23. It is of the Lord's mercies, kindness that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They're new every morning. Great is thy faithfulness. They are new every morning. We have a chance to have that mercy and grace now. Don't lose the chance or the opportunity. And if you're afraid to tell someone about the Lord, he's afraid to tell his father about you, you need to get it together and say, you know what, I put Christ first. You have to make that determination in your heart and mind because this is very important now that we come into repentance, come into grace, and put God first in our lives. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word, and we bless your word. I pray that we have boldness and confidence to go speak your word to get as many saved as we possibly can. I know that salvation is of you. I know that you it is your grace that saves. I pray that every person hears your grace and says, "Yes, Lord. I accept your grace. I want to be forgiven and walk in that forgiveness." And yes, I want to declare you the son of God. I pray and hope for that to manifest itself over the people and their hearts. Lord, in the name of Jesus, we pray. Thank you, Father God. Amen. Amen. Amen. Now is the time to get saved. Let's do it. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

THEREFORE FORGIVE THEM NOT The objective of this teaching is to reveal the prophetic relevance of Isaiah 2:9, showing that God draws a line of division between those who walk in the light of Christ and those who choose deception, pride, and evil. It emphasizes the urgent call for believers to walk as children of light, resist cultural and spiritual deception, and understand why God declares “forgive them not” to those who deliberately bow to falsehood and reject His truth in these end times. THEREFORE FORGIVE THEM NOT Minister Lisa Kane September 18, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the prophetic relevance of Isaiah 2:9, showing that God draws a line of division between those who walk in the light of Christ and those who choose deception, pride, and evil. It emphasizes the urgent call for believers to walk as children of light, resist cultural and spiritual deception, and understand why God declares “forgive them not” to those who deliberately bow to falsehood and reject His truth in these end times. Synopsis: In Therefore Forgive Them Not, Minister Lisa Kane explores the sobering message of Isaiah 2 and its direct application to today’s spiritual and cultural climate. Isaiah describes a world where people bow to idols, false ideologies, and pride, abandoning the truth of God. This mirrors our modern society where deception, pride, and the celebration of evil prevail. The message warns that those who choose darkness over light align themselves with destruction, echoing Paul’s admonition to “walk as children of light” (Ephesians 5:8) and Jesus’ warning against deception in the last days (Matthew 24:4). Through Scripture, Lisa shows that God’s command to “forgive them not” is not about personal bitterness but about divine judgment on those who willfully reject Him. This lesson urges believers to discern the times, avoid the snares of cultural falsehoods, and remain steadfast in Christ. Ultimately, it challenges Christians to live faithfully in the light of Jesus so that when the Day of the Lord arrives, they are found walking in truth and not among those marked for wrath. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Opening scripture: Isaiah 2:9 KJV 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. There is a clear line of division that exists in the world today. There are those on the left, who are simply mean. They celebrate death. They believe there ways are the best. I even heard one say that the world is better off because this person is dead. Ugh. Then there are those on the right who serve the Lord. Isaiah chapter 2 discusses this in division in chapter and even tells us when the time comes for us to ‘forgive them not’. Let’s start in verse 5. This is where Isaiah identifies who the mean people are. Isaiah 2:5 KJV 5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord. God starts off by calling Jacob to walk in the light of the Lord. This is important because this is what will keep us from the evils of our day just like it would keep Jacob from the evils of his day. First, to not be mean, we need to walk in the light. Who is the light? Jesus. We must walk in the ways of Jesus. Paul reiterates this in Ephesians. Ephesians 5:6-8 KJV 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: Paul clearly tells us that by not walking in the light, we could be deceived, and that is very dangerous to today’s spiritual climate. Jesus has warned us to not be deceived, and He expressly states that in End Time Prophecy. Matthew 24:4 KJV 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Paul emphasizes it more in Galatians 6: Galatians 6:7 KJV 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Let’s see what Isaiah identified as the things that deceived Jacob. Isaiah 2:6-8 KJV 6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers. 7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: 8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: Jacob followed after other cultures false ideologies and religions. They worshipped the created, and not the creation. It was an attraction to them because they saw how rich these cultures were. Well guess what, that’s what people are doing in today’s world. In today’s culture climate, people are caught up in wokeism, keeping the earth green, believing in aliens, and basically following after other cultures but not walking in the light, the Word of God – Jesus, Himself. There are the Abrahamic blessings and curses over Israel. So many people reject Israel by choosing Palestine. There are many people choosing to celebrate the dark, evil things in the world and not selecting to walk in the light. This is a blatant choice these people have made. As you can see, Isaiah 2 is for us today to see and be aware of this line of division. Let’s continue in Isaiah 2. Isaiah 2:9-12 KJV 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. 10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty. 11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. 12 For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: Well, look at that. In context, Isaiah 2 is talking about an event before the Day of the Lord. This puts Isaiah 2 in today’s timeline of end time events / prophecy. And by the way, we know that the Day of the Lord hasn’t happened yet. Remember, this is what the Day of the Lord is in Revelation 6. Revelation 6:15-17 KJV 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Now, let’s go back to our opening scripture. Isaiah 2:9 KJV 9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. It amazes me that God is telling us not to forgive the mean man who boweth down to the ideas of the world. Let me describe this in more detail for you. In essence, when the Bible says you’ve bowed down to something, you have made that your priority. You will follow it to the ends of the world if need be because that is what is important to you. For example, if you choose to be mean, like celebrating the death of anyone, then you’ve put yourself as the most important person and that your ideas, beliefs are the most important and everyone should follow that. You are full of pride. Reality check, no. You are not God, and you cannot believe that there is any justification to death. You have chosen to walk in darkness on purpose. You made the decision that your ways are the best and everyone should follow you; and that the world proves you right; hence why you celebrate death or choose to be mean over choosing good. You are blatantly making the decision for evil than good. Proverbs 16:18 KJV 18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. You are putting evil, your pride ahead of good and because you’ve done that, God says through Isaiah, ‘forgive them not’. This is why you end up as one of those rejecting God during the seven year time period of God’s wrath. Isaiah 2:9 is revelation to me because I’ve been forgiving people left and right now for a few years knowing that forgiveness will end when the Day of the Lord arrives…but the Day of the Lord hasn’t arrived yet. Note, we can see this clear line of division. There are those celebrating death and choosing evil, and questioning whether prayer works. Don’t fall for this deception. Choose to walk in the light so that you are not counted as one who chooses evil. Let’s remember what Paul said in Romans 9: Romans 9:21-22 KJV 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: We see this line because God made some vessels for honor, and some for dishonor. Choose the light and choose to walk in the ways of Jesus. By taking that leap of faith, you won’t be deceived. Home Previous Next
- WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that the Christian battle is not against people but against spiritual forces and internal struggles that oppose God’s will. By examining Paul’s exhortation to put on the whole armor of God, this lesson emphasizes the difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit. It aims to equip Christians with a deeper awareness of principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness, and to encourage believers to stand firm in Christ, knowing that through Him we have the authority to overcome the enemy and claim God’s promises of restoration and victory. WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 Minister Lisa Kane September 24, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that the Christian battle is not against people but against spiritual forces and internal struggles that oppose God’s will. Synopsis: In this teaching, Minister Lisa Kane unpacks Paul’s instruction in Ephesians 6:11–12, showing that our fight as Christians is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual influences that seek to corrupt and destroy. Drawing from Galatians 5, she contrasts the destructive works of the flesh—such as envy, strife, and immorality—with the life-giving fruit of the Spirit, which believers are called to walk in daily. The lesson highlights how Christ Himself broke the “rules” of sin and death through His victory at the cross, giving us authority as joint heirs with Him. Scriptures such as John 10:10 and 1 Peter 5:8 remind us that the devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but he is limited and subject to God’s judgment. Believers are encouraged to bring their case before the Lord when the enemy steals from them, trusting that God will require sevenfold restoration, as promised in Proverbs 6:30–31. This first part establishes the foundation of understanding what a Christian truly fights against—spiritual powers, not people—and calls us to walk in the Spirit, live in close relationship with God, and stand in faith for His promises. Part 2 will continue with a deeper exploration of Ephesians 6:12. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Opening scripture: Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. As believers in Christ, Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God and then explains why. The first thing he notes is that we don’t fight against flesh and blood. What does that mean, especially when we see people fighting each other everyday? Paul defines this in Galatians 5:14-21 KJV 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. When we don’t operate in love by loving our neighbor as ourself, then we bite and devour one another. Paul tells us to not be consumed with that but to walk in the spirit. When we walk in the flesh, we manifest adultery, fornication, etc. We allow envy and jealousy to rule within but as believers we’re to walk in the spirit. Galatians 5:22-26 KJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Now that we understand that we’re not fighting each other but our internal influences and the influences of others, let’s continue with Ephesians 6:12 KJV 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We fight against principalities. What are principles? According to www.dictionary.com , a principle is: noun 1. an accepted or professed rule of action or conduct. a person of good moral principles. 2. a fundamental, primary, or general law or truth from which others are derived. the principles of modern physics. So, why does Paul tell us that we fight against rules of action or conduct or the general law of truth? Are rules actually meant to be broken? Do you know that Jesus broke many rules while walking the earth? He cast out demons. He healed the sick. He walked on water. He brought the dead back to life and even rose from the dead three days after His crucifixion. Romans 6:23 KJV 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If the wages of sin is death, shouldn’t we all die and stay dead? Isn’t that our due justice according to God’s law? And yet, Jesus tells us this rule is broken. Those that choose to believe, will have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Even Psalm 103:1-5 KJV – read the whole chapter 103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. We’re told that He forgives and heals our diseases. We shouldn’t have these benefits and yet we do because of God’s tender mercies. Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV 22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. So, what does Paul mean that we fight against principalities: John 10:10 KJV 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 1 Peter 5:8 KJV 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: We have an enemy that will do everything in his power to steal, kill, and destroy us if given the chance. Remember, the devil needs permission to do anything. Read Job 1. We have the right to break the rules just like Jesus did because we’re joint heirs with Him. Romans 8:17 KJV 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. And just like Jesus suffered, so do we. But here’s something more that Jesus promised us: Proverbs 6:30-31 NKJV 30 People do not despise a thief If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving. 31 Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house. A thief is required to restore sevenfold. I asked chatgpt, what does sevenfold mean and this is what it provided: The word “sevenfold” means seven times as much or multiplied by seven. It can be used in different ways depending on the context: 1. General Meaning • If something increases sevenfold, it becomes seven times greater in size, number, or intensity. o Example: “Profits increased sevenfold” = profits became seven times larger. 2. Biblical / Spiritual Meaning • In the Bible, “sevenfold” often symbolizes completeness, fullness, or divine perfection, since the number seven carries special spiritual significance. • For example: o Genesis 4:15 – God says that anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold (a complete and perfect retribution). o Psalm 12:6 – God’s words are described as pure, “purified seven times,” symbolizing perfect refinement. o Proverbs 24:16 – “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,” showing fullness of perseverance. 3. Figurative Usage • “Sevenfold” can also mean in every way or completely. o Example: “He repaid evil sevenfold” = he repaid fully, completely, and overwhelmingly. ✨ So, sevenfold means “seven times over” in the literal sense, and “full, complete, or perfect” in the symbolic/spiritual sense. So, when the devil steals your health from you, your finances from your, a loved one from you, he is required to recompense you seven times. Psalm 7:8 KJV 8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. You can go before the Lord and ask Him to judge you if you believe that a thief has taken something from you but be ready for that judgement. Are you in the secret place with Him as Psalm 91 says? Have you made God a relationship vs a religion? Have you sought first the kingdom of God and His righteousness first as Matthew 6:33 says? Do you know you are saved and that Jesus is the Son of God? Have you confessed Jesus as Lord, Romans 10:9? Once you are firmly minded, humble yourself before the Lord and simply tell Him that the thief took from you, and then ask Him to make the devil recompense you. Matthew 7:7 KJV 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Whatever you ask it shall be given. This is part 1 of understanding what a Christian fights against. We will resume next week for part 2 in Ephesians 6:12. Home Previous Next
- RIZPAH: BLOOD CURSE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
RIZPAH: BLOOD CURSE The objective of this message is to teach believers the importance of understanding both blessings and curses, how they affect individuals, families, and entire nations, and how forgiveness and intercession can break cycles of judgment. By examining the story of Rizpah, King Saul, the Gibeonites, and King David, the message emphasizes the consequences of covenant-breaking, the inheritance of curses, and the role of prayer and mercy in restoring God’s blessing and rain upon the land. RIZPAH: BLOOD CURSE Minister Lisa Kane July 18, 2024 Objective: The objective of this message is to teach believers the importance of understanding both blessings and curses, how they affect individuals, families, and entire nations, and how forgiveness and intercession can break cycles of judgment. By examining the story of Rizpah, King Saul, the Gibeonites, and King David, the message emphasizes the consequences of covenant-breaking, the inheritance of curses, and the role of prayer and mercy in restoring God’s blessing and rain upon the land. Synopsis: In this teaching, Lisa Kane continues her series on women in the Bible, focusing on Rizpah, a concubine of King Saul and the mother of two of his sons. The message begins with 2 Samuel 21:1, where a three-year famine during King David’s reign is revealed to be a result of Saul’s violation of Israel’s covenant with the Gibeonites. Saul’s act of bloodshed against a protected people brought a generational curse upon the land. Lisa explains the history of the Gibeonites, tracing their covenant with Israel back to Joshua 9, where they used trickery to secure protection but nonetheless became bound under Israel’s oath before God. Because Saul broke this covenant, the famine was a direct judgment from God. David, seeking atonement, delivers seven descendants of Saul—including Rizpah’s two sons—to the Gibeonites, who hang them to satisfy justice. The message highlights Rizpah’s grief and perseverance as she guarded the bodies of her sons from birds and beasts until the rains returned. Her vigil displayed both mourning and a desperate connection to the consequences of sin and covenant-breaking. David, moved by her devotion, later gathers the bones of Saul, Jonathan, and the executed sons, burying them with honor. Only then does the curse lift, and God restores rain to the land. Lisa draws out the principle that curses can affect entire generations, but forgiveness, repentance, and mercy can restore blessing. She warns against the spiritual dangers of covenant-breaking, murder, and bitterness—contrasting Rizpah’s suffering with David’s merciful actions. The teaching concludes with an exhortation for believers today to intercede for their families, churches, and lands, forgiving sins, nullifying curses, and claiming God’s inheritance of rain and restoration. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this message on Thursday, July 18th, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. And we pray and ask that our ears are open to listen to your word. That we hear it and that we listen to it. apply it, obey it, and uh realize what curses and blessings do and take it upon ourselves to see those curses and blessings in our lives and to recognize it and to know what to do with them, Father God. And I thank you for your word in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. I've been talking about women in the Bible and we're going to continue to do so. And we're going to be talking about a gal named Rispa. And I'm titling this message Risbot blood curse. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here in 2 Samuel 21:1. Then there was a famine or a hunger in the days of David three years, year after year, and David inquired. That word inquired says, "Search out the face that turns." So he inquired of the Lord. You see, the Lord is the one who can make things change. And the Lord answered, "It is for Saul," this is talking about King Saul, and for his bloody bloodshed that causes death. house because he slew the Gibeonites. So bloody there means the bloodshed that causes death. So he stabbed, used a sword, killed someone causing their blood to shed out of their body and they died as a result because we can't live without the blood in our body. Well, he also not just killed anyone, he killed the Gibeonites. We got to find out who the Gibeonites are because you're finding out here as we're going to find out who Rizba is here in just a moment. We got to find out what King Saul did. Because see, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. Rispa is a concubine of King Saul and had two of his sons. So, we need to go find out what King Saul had done because of what he did. He caused a curse to come on the land and there was a famine year after year, three years in a row. and David because King at this point in scripture, what we just read, King Saul is dead. So, what we just read is King David is realizing, wait a second, why is the land cursed? What's going on, Lord? But he's already dead. Saul's dead, but the curse is still alive. I hope you're catching this because I want you to see what curses and blessings do. Rispa is gonna show us and we're gonna see that in what her actions are. But remember, as a concubine of King Saul, she is part of that covering of King Saul. So, she's got a curse on her. This we're going to get to that. All right. What we need to do is we need to find out who the Gibeonites are because obviously they've got a protection on them and somehow they got killed by Saul and that brought this curse on. So let's go look at how there was a covenant made with the Gibeonites that secured the Gibeonites in the nation of Israel. Amen. So we're going to start in Joshua 9:es 2-7 that they gathered themselves together to fight with Joshua and Israel with one accord, which is one mind, one mouth. And when the inhabitants of Gibian, which is a hilly area called Gibbon, heard what Joshua, which Joshua means Jehovah saved, had done unto Jericho. And Ai, I'mma pause there real quick. Oh, the rumors have gone through the land. You see, Israel has come out of the wilderness under the leadership of Joshua, and they defeated Ai, and they defeated Jericho. Remember, the walls came tumbling down at Jericho. So these Gibeonites heard about it. Let's continue reading. I want you to see what they say. They did work willy liilly trickery and went out and made as if they had been ambassadors and took old sacks upon their asses and wine bottles old and rent and bound up and old shoes and clouded upon their feet and old garments upon them. And all the bread of their provision was dry and moldy. And they went to Joshua into the camp of Gilgal and said unto him and to the man of Israel, we become from a far country. Now therefore make ye a league or a covenant with us. And the men of Israel said unto the Hivites, per adventure ye dwell with us or among us. Uh what if you dwell among us is what they're saying. How shall we make a league with you? If you continue to read on, you will find that they convince them with their old clothes that they have been traveling a long ways. And here our bread was fresh when we left, but it's moldy now. They're lying through their teeth. But Israel didn't inquire of the Lord. Joshua didn't go to the Lord. They didn't check it out. So the princes or the leadership of the congregation got together and they made a covenant with the Gibeonites and said, "Okay, we got you covered. We're not going to kill you." Well, then Israel starts traveling. They're defeating the cities and they come to Gibbon, the Gibbeonites. Let's continue. Let's go to verse 17 now. And in chapter nine, and the and the children of Israel journeyed and came into their cities on the third day. Now their cities were there's Gibian and then Shafara, Beera, and Kirum. I know I'm butchering those names. And the children of Israel went to smoke or strike them. But realize they can't. The children of Israel smoke them not because the princes of the congregation has sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation now murmured against the princes. But all the princes said unto all the congregation, we have sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel, now therefore we may not touch them. This we will do to them, and we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we swear unto them. And all the princes said unto them, let them live, but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation, as the princes had promised. So Joshua calls them over, the Gibeonites, and he spake unto them, saying, "Wherefore have ye beguiled us, saying, we're from a very far country, yet you dwell among us." This is what Joshua is complaining about. So he says to them, "Now therefore ye are cursed, and there shall none of you be freed from being bondmen and heers of wood and drawers of water for the house of my God." They answered Joshua and said, "Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the Lord thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were so afraid of our lives because of you, and have done the same." And now, behold, we are in thine hand, as it seemth good, and right unto thee to do unto us do. And so did he unto them, and deliver them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not. And Joshua made them that day heers of wood, and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the Lord, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose. Okay. The Gibeonites actually become a part of the tribe of Benjamin. You can go read that. They are now sacred. They have a covenant upon them and they are protected. Well, when God tells David about the famine, he says to him, "Well, he killed the Gibeonites. He had killed many of them. He didn't kill them all. We're going to find that out here shortly. But he goes and kills them." And he's a murderer because he's killed before. He causes people to die by draining their blood. He stabs them or does whatever. That's what King Saul was doing. You know, leaders can have a reputation of murder surrounding them. I'll just leave it at that. But that's what happened with King Saul here. But as a result of that, it caused a curse, a famine to come into the land. That was our opening scripture that we read. So, now we're going to find out about who Ryzbah is, and we're going to find out what's going on up to this time frame of David seeking the Lord because it's in that transitional period of King Saul being dead and David being alive and taking over the kingdom as the king of all of Israel and Judah. Well, at that time, we're going to find out who Ryba is. So let's go look at this transitional phase. We're going to be in 2 Samuel chapter 3. We're going to read verses 6-14. It came to pass while there was a war between the house of Saul and the house of David that Abner, which means father of light, made himself strong for the house of Saul. And Saul had a concubine whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aia. And Ishbasheth said to Abnner, "Wherefore wherefore hast thou gone into my father's concubine." Then was Abner very wroth. He he had a glow or grow warm. His face turned red. He He's embarrassed and angry and upset all at the same time. And it shows on the face. You You've seen that happen to people. for the words of Ishbasheth, and said, "Am I a dog's head, which against Judah, do show kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brother, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargeth me today with a fault concerning this woman?" See, he took the concubine in. Didn't marry her or anything. He just made her his lover, if you will. This is who Ryz is. So, she's now she was under the covenant of Saul. This guy has favor for Saul, which means he's probably a murderer, too. Or he has that kind of spirit over him. And here Risba is living in this mess. Okay, she's in this mess. And this guy is accusing him. You know, hey, where's your morals? He doesn't have any. But watch what happens next. Uh verse 9. This is Abnner still outraged. So do God to Abnner. more also except as the Lord had Lord hath sworn to David even so I do to him to translate the kingdom from the house of Saul and to set so he's saying he's in the process of translating the kingdom from the house of Saul to set up the throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan even to Beersa and he now this Ishbasheth could not answer he says and he could not answer Abnner a word again because he feared him and then here now you hear Abnner sent messengers to David on his behalf. You see, he's coming to the realization, uh, I'm not going to have this kingdom by myself. He's not going to be king. And he knows that the favor of the Lord is on David. But yet, he still has this ugly covering over him because they're all about killers, murderers, and what have you. So, Havner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, "Who's is the land? and saying also, "Make thy league or a covenant with me, and behold, my hand shall be with thee to bring about all Israel unto thee." Now, David is a very merciful man of God. He knows what's going on. He's not dumb. He's got part of the kingdom, and now he needs to bring the other kingdom in. And this guy is saying he can do it. So he's going to go ahead and make a covenant. Let's read what David says. He says to him in verse 13, he said, 'Well, I will make a league with thee, but one thing I require of thee, that is that thou shalt not see my face, except thou first bring Mikall Saul's daughter, when thou comest to see my face. And then look what David does here in verse 14. And David sent messengers to Ishbasheth, Saul's son, saying, deliver me my wife McCall, which I espouseed to me for 100 skins of the Philistines. In other words, David didn't trust Abnner. So, he sent messengers both ways. He agreed to Abnner and then he sent to Ishbasheth saying, "I want my wife back and he's going to make this covenant with him." So, now you see this is where Rizpa is. She's right in the middle and this transitional period is taking place. So, David is in this famine. Three years go by. It's year after year not a drop of rain has come in the land and David seeks it out. Now let's go read what happens after that. Okay. 2 Samuel 21. We start in verse one. Then there was a famine in the days of David three years year after year is our opening scripture. And David inquired of the Lord and the Lord answered it is for Saul for his bloody house because he slew the Gibeonites in. So, King David, he and the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them, now these are the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites, and the children of Israel has sworn unto them, and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah. So, I went looking for that campaign as I uh mentioned earlier, and I could not find it. The Lord did not put that campaign in scripture, his zeal, and he went after. And maybe he did, and I'm missing it. It could be that it was termed under the Amorites. But anyways, God is saying it straight up here. Saul got a little crazy with his campaign and went after and went after the Gibeonites who were part of they had become part of the tribe of Benjamin. and they had a covering, a covenant that Saul knew, because Saul is from the tribe of Benjamin. Let's continue on. Verse three. So wherefore David said unto the Gibonites, "What shall I do for you? And wherewith shall I make the atonement?" The word atonement means to cover, cancel, appease. Because he's got to atone for this curse here. That ye may bless the inheritance of the Lord. Reign is the inheritance of the Lord. You're going to find that out here in at the last scripture I have in this teaching. Rain is an inheritance of the Lord. And David is trying to restore the inheritances. And notice it's on everybody. It's on David on the good side. And it's on the Gibeonites. It's on Abnner. It's on Rispah. It's on the evil and it's on the good. It's on the entire land. The whole land is affected by what Saul did. one man who broke a covenant and caused a curse to come on the land. All it takes is one person to do something. And this is a blood curse that is affected the land. And how many droughts have we been going through in the last 25 years? Let's continue on. Verse four. And the Gibeonites said unto him, we will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house, neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you. But the Gibeonites continued, "And they answered the king, the man that consumed us," talking about Saul, "and that devised against us that we should be destroyed from remaining in any of the coast of Israel." Now, you get a little bit more of a an understanding here of what's going on. Saul tried to wipe them out. What happened to Go read the book of Esther. They tried to wipe out the Israelites and God protected the Israelites and they celebrate PUM today that Hmon I just taught on this. He tried to wipe them out. Well, you see when you try to wipe out somebody who is covered by God, you bring a curse upon yourself. Oh, I'm seeing the Abrahamic uh blessings and cursings activated here. Look at this. So, he tried to wipe them out. And so he says, this is Gibian still talking verse six. Let seven men of his sons be delivered unto us and we will hang them up unto the Lord in Giba of Saul whom the Lord did choose and the king said I will give them. I'm going pause here again. Remember the Gibeonites come from the Amorites, but they've been covered by Israel because they tricked Israel into covering. So they've been chopping wood and getting water to the Israelites all these years. They have taken now on the God of Israel. That is who they serve now. So they're saying, "Okay, we're going to give us seven sons of this man who tried to kill us and we're going to hang them and that will appease and take care of the curse." And David says, "Okay, I will do that." Let's continue now to see what David does. Verse seven. But the king spared Mephishbasheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the Lord's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan, the son of Saul. David and Jonathan had a very special relationship. Jonathan loved David more than a brother, more than a best friend, more than anything. He would give his life for David. So, David is protecting Jonathan. Jonathan has passed away. He died the same time King Saul did. He was fighting with his father again. Even though he loved David, he had every he had the covering of his father on him and that murdering curse caused him to die. Well, David atoned for that by saving his son. So, Jonathan's line can continue because see, Jonathan still loved David, which is the good of he represents God. Now, look at what happens here. Verse eight. But the king took the two sons of Risba, the daughter of Ai, whom she bare unto Saul, Armonia and Mephishbasheth. Now Jonathan had a son named Mafishbasheth. Risbah had a son named Mafishbasheth. There's two of them. I hope you get that here. And then and the five sons of Mikll, the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel, the son of Barzeli, the Maheli. Let's stop and pause for a moment. McCall had no children. McCall is David's wife that he we saw him tell Abnner and Ishbasheth to bring me my wife McCall. I want her back. Well, she never had children. She was married to another man after David had left. Well, David wants her back. He ends up getting her back. I don't know if they ever sleep together again or not, but she has no children. However, remember David had killed um 100 Philistines and gave the four skins for her. He paid the price for her, but he was supposed to get Mebaha, McCall's older sister, but Meabbah was married off to someone else. So, McCall was the replacement. Well, Mebah is the one who had these children or was married into Adriel, the son of Barzeli, the Maheli. That's Mebba. So apparently Merba has died and McCall has taken over raising her children. That's very interesting. See the dynamics here of how this is. So Rispa who is under the covering of Saul murderer killer who cursed the land and caused the drought to take place for three years. And McCall who ends up hating David remember he comes in with the ark of the covenant and he's dancing and praising the Lord in his loin cloth and she was so embarrassed and bitter. She never got to have she was so bitter. That was it. She ends up dying a bitter old lady. Well, the children she raised for her sister, she loses them. It's just bitterness upon bitterness upon bitterness on her because she hated David for what he was doing to the Lord. And then Rispa because she was under the curse of her mate because it wasn't a husband, she was a concubine. And so this when you are not on God's side, you have the curse of death upon you. So Rispa is going to lose her two children and MCL's going to lose their her five children. And now seven men are going to die and be hanged because of what one man did to kill what the covenant of the Lord was upon. I hope you guys are getting this. Let's continue on. And this is David. And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hang them in the hill before the Lord. And they fell all seven together and were put to death in the days of harvest in the first days in the beginning of barley harvest. And Rispa, the daughter of Aiiah, took sackcloth and spread it for her upon the rock, from the beginning of harvest until water dropped upon them out of heaven, and suffered neither the birds of the air to rest on them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night. And it was told David that what Ryzah, the daughter of Aiah, the concubine of Saul, had done. And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabish Gilead which had stolen them from the street of Bethon where the Philistines had hanged them when the Philistines had slain Saul in Galboa Gilboa. And he brought up he brought up from thence the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan's son and they gathered the bones of them that were hanged. So that includes the seven sons there. and the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son buried they in the country of Benjamin and Zilah in the seulture of Kish his father and they performed all that the king commanded and after that God was entreated for the land. Okay. So Rispa loses her two sons and when she does she goes to where they were hung. She puts herself a place there where she can sit down and she's keeping the birds of the air away from their bodies. She's not letting the animals get to their bodies. So this is what she does. And she stays there until rain comes back. So even though David, he finds out about it. And by the way, now they're bones. They're no longer flesh in here. She sat she was there for a very long time. He takes all the bones. He decides to get Saul, Jonathan, and these seven men there because they're all one family. This is how much mercy David has. He hears what she does. She's grieving. See, she should know better who the God of Israel is. And yet, she was under. She being part of King Saul's family and he had that spirit on him where he listened to the Lord a little bit but not much. how much of an influencer her was she to him. So it cost her it cost her her two sons and David's line almost if it wasn't for um David having mercy on Jonathan's son that his line would have ended at that point because that's he's a killer he's a murderer he has a curse on him which then she takes that on as well so Rizbah suffer that but because of what she did David sees mercy he buries those bones and And as soon as those bones are all buried and the mercy, his mercy nullifies, the curse is now broken because these seven men were what had to be hung to undo the curse. When they did that, the rain fell on the land. Now again, what is the rain falls on everybody the same, whether you're good or bad? Don't mess with the rain by killing somebody who has the covenant of the Lord upon them. Now, let's go read about the rain a little bit more. 2 Chronicles 6:26-27. When the heaven, the sky is shut up, hold back. Now, this is Solomon, by the way. He's This is now years later. David's dead. He's built the temple. He's dedicating the temple. This is what Solomon says. So this is now many years later. Watch this. When the heaven, the sky is shut up or holds back and there's no rain because they have sinned against thee. Yet if they pray to judge, intercede, intreat toward this place, and confess literally to use thy name, confess the name, and turn from their sin when thou dost afflict them. Then here he's telling God, "Hear intelligently, intention, obediently, thou from heaven, and forgive, pardon, spare the sin of thy servants and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way wherein they should walk and send rain upon the land and which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance." Solomon just simply told you how to bring the rain back to the land, and we saw David do it physically. after what Saul did. So we know what causes drought and we know what causes the rain to come back. So next time we face a drought situation and remember I have testified that in California when I used to live there I prayed over that area and it took a couple of years but the breakthrough finally came because people kept cursing the land and making it drier and drier and I was like Lord we're trying to bless it. They're cursing, shut their mouths. And it did happen. And now they've got rain and a lot of rain and a lot more rain in the last few years. They've been getting more and more rain, which is incredible because the land has been restored and we're doing the same here. We're seeing the cycle come back where rain is an inheritance is coming back. So now let's take a look at what Ryz put. She was grieving. She did not pray for Saul. Remember I taught on Adam and Eve when Eve was created. She was made from the rib of Adam. She's part of his rib cage. Now, she may be a Rispa may be a concubine to Saul, but here's the thing. She had the responsibility to pray for him, and she did not. Remember now, Saul started off as a man of God. He prophesied in the Lord's name. Remember what Jesus said? You may have prophesied in my name, but I don't know who you are. Well, you see what happened to Saul as he got further and further from God to the point where he didn't even talk to God because God wasn't answering him. He went to a meeting to go try to talk to Samuel who had died. And that was that was the done deal. His kingdom was torn from him and that was it. If Risba had been praying for him for that matter, if any of the women there had been praying for him, we would have a different lineage today. Like God knew what was going on. And this is why Jesus comes through the line of David. But we are taught if you want restoration in the land and you want the rain to come, you have to void and nullify the curse. One way to do it is to forgive it. Forgive it and let it go. Say, "Lord, we we're experiencing a drought. We need more rain. That is your inheritance. So, I'm asking for your inheritance. So, Lord, I forgive the sins of the land. I forgive the curses over the land. I forgive the curses against the land. And I forgive the iniquities that you find in the land." Because see, when there's a murder and the blood goes into the land into the ground, the ground is crying up to God saying, "Avenge me." So, there's an avenger of blood or a spiritual avenger that is going to be coming out against us, which holds the rain back. So, then what do you do? You forgive it. And then you tell those demons to get lost. You say, "Get out of the land. Get below my feet. I bind you with feathers of iron to the iron below my feet." Remember, we stand on the name of Jesus and he is going to rule with an iron fist. So, he's full of iron. Tell those demons that they are bound to that iron. And then what you do is you bless the land. Say, "Lord, it is now forgiven. I forgave it." And the Lord said, "If you forgive it, I will forgive it." So, if I'm forgiving it, he's obligated to forgive it. which then the rain comes and it is our inheritance. Oh, I hope you guys see the principle that is here that is given to us so that we can stand and enjoy the land that the Lord has given us. We should never have to have allergies or sicknesses and diseases. That's all a result of sin. But the moment you have mercy from God and you asked him to forgive you, that sin is gone. Those curses are gone, the curses are gone, and we can live in the promises that he has given us. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. And we thank you that your word does not return void. Lord, I pray that more people get this message, hear it, and become prayers of forgiveness over the their land, over their families, over their households, over their churches, so that we can start seeing this mercy and forgiveness spread through the land. Thank you, Lord, for showing us our inheritance because it is beautiful and wonderful to have rain over the land, for everything to be lush and nourished. Thank you Lord. You are the blessing and you are king of glory and we give you the glory, the honor and the praise for all of this. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

THE GOOD SEED The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the meaning and significance of Jesus’ parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13. The message aims to show why God allows good and evil to coexist in the world, how the final separation of righteousness and wickedness will occur, and how individuals must choose to walk as children of the kingdom—the “good seed.” The teaching also emphasizes the urgency of repentance, the responsibility of believers to share God’s Word, and the assurance of peace and salvation for those who remain in Christ. THE GOOD SEED Minister Lisa Kane July 10, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the meaning and significance of Jesus’ parable of the wheat and the tares in Matthew 13. Synopsis: Lisa Kane, in her message “The Good Seed,” begins with prayer and frames the teaching around Matthew 13:24–30, where Jesus shares the parable of a man sowing good seed in his field, only for the enemy to sow tares among the wheat. She explains the distinction between historical events like Noah’s flood and symbolic parables meant to convey deeper truths. Breaking down Jesus’ interpretation of the parable (Matthew 13:37–43), she identifies the Son of Man (Jesus) as the sower of the good seed, which represents the children of the kingdom, while the tares represent the children of the wicked one, sown by the devil. The field is the world, and the harvest at the end of the age will bring separation by God’s angels: the wicked will be gathered and cast into the fire, while the righteous will shine in the kingdom of their Father. The teaching highlights God’s decision-making process throughout history, particularly His choice to preserve humanity after the flood and ultimately redeem mankind through Jesus Christ. It stresses that each person must decide whether to follow righteousness or remain in sin, with eternal consequences. Lisa calls on believers to urgently warn and intercede for unbelievers, as deception and confusion from the enemy run rampant. She underscores that choosing Christ makes one a child of the good seed, shining with God’s light and destined for eternal life. The message concludes by urging believers to seek first the kingdom of God, walk in righteousness, and continue sowing the Word to bring others into salvation. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this teaching on Thursday, July 10th, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. I pray, Father God, that we're ready to hear your word and that you set aside all the distractions and that you have us thirst and hunger for your word. That you do bring answers to questions that we have. uh the decision-making process, for example, of letting this world continue on in the condition that it's in after even after Noah's flood. I thank you for showing us your decision-making process. I thank you for showing us uh the answers that we have questions to. Thank you, Father God. And I pray that we do not forget your word. That your word is implanted in our word, in our bodies, in our minds, and that your word manifests that we can just share your word to others around that also have questions and that are thirsty and hungry. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. It's going to be a neat teaching. I I I like this word because it does answer some questions, you know, like why, Lord, why did you decide to not end this? I mean because we've got a lot of evil and evil is very rampant in this world right now today. But it's it it is a question that we have in the back of our minds sometimes. Why do you do this? So anyways, I'm calling this teaching the good seed. And let's start here. We're going to be in Matthew uh 13. And uh before we begin, if you're new, welcome. I appreciate you taking the time. I just teach supplemental teachings to the church. Uh we are just an online ministry. That's all we are. and I just teach what the Bible says and I'm just making certain that the word of God is getting out there because that is heavy on my heart and I want to make sure that the world hears the word of God. Obviously, not everyone is going to listen to me or anything of that nature, but I'm doing my part and I hope that you're doing your part with whatever Christ calls you to do. I'm called to be a teacher and an intercessor, prayer warrior. So, that's what my calling is and I just share that with you all online. Also, if you're new, you're going to see that I present the scriptures in the King James version. It's the closest version to the original text. Also, when you see on the screen uh the black bolded word there, like in this case, parable, that is the original word in the King James version that the translators chose to use when translating that scripture. The words after in parentheses are additional words from the Strong's Hebrew Greek dictionary. In other words, there more words that we could have used in lie of the bolded word if we wanted to. I bring those extra words in because it really brings a depth to the understanding of what the original text was. I rather teach from that perspective than let's say implied uh perspective. I don't want to just give you an an implied uh idea. I want to give you substance from the word of God. Amen. All right. So, we're in Matthew 13. Uh, another parable. Now, the word parable there means similitude, fictitious narrative. So, let's make sure that we understand what a parable is because this is very, very important. You see, Noah's flood is not a parable. That's an actual event that takes place. I know a lot of pastors, a lot of teachers will say, "Let's go to the story of Noah's flood, or let's go to the story of Daniel in the lion's den, uh, or Jonah and the whale." All of those are not stories. They're actual historical events that took place. Well, what Jesus is about to teach us though is a parable. It is something of a like. It's not a true story. It's not an event, but he's telling you something in this parable, and then he's giving the interpretation so that you have an understanding of what it means. So, we're going to go to this parable in verse 24. It says, "Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, now Jesus is talking. He says, the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good, beautiful seed in his field." So, good seed is a beautiful seed. And that's what this message is about. We're talking about the good seed. But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tears or false grain among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tears also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, "Sir, not thou sew good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tears?" You know, he's saying, "I saw I thought I saw you putting good seed. What happened here? where where this this bad false grain coming from? And so um he said unto them, "An enemy hath done this." The servant said unto him, "Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?" But he said, "Nay, lest while ye gather up the tears, ye root up also the wheat with them." And then verse 30, "Let them let both grow together until the harvest. And in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, gather ye together first the tears, and bind them in bundles to burn them. but gather the wheat into my barn. So, this is a parable. Now, I didn't bring all the scriptures in here about all of this. But one of the thing you can do is go and read chapter 13 and get all of the in between stuff because it's going to kind of help you understand this a whole lot better. So, what you want to do is you want to look at uh what he's talking about. And he he goes into actually a few different parables that he's all all these parables are talking about the same thing the the same thing he's liking it to. He's saying this is what this is like and he's going to show you. So now I'm going to go start reading the scriptures where he's translating the parable to the disciples because the you know the disciples had asked him why are you speaking to them in parables and Jesus answers I give you the answer because to you is given the mystery the revelation of the word. Anytime that you and I are believers in the scripture we have the blessing of understanding what Jesus was trying to explain. Uh, I'll tell you this much. Theologians want to know. They can't know unless they got a relationship with Jesus. They won't understand this. It It's like there's a blinder in front of them and they can't understand it. But we're given the permission to understand. I have a relationship with the Lord. And in First John 4, it tells us to test the spirit. I declare that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he came in the flesh and died on the cross for our sins and rose again three days later. That means I am of God. I walk with God. I work with God. I teach with God. So now that that is established, let us go and look at what Jesus was trying to explain here. Amen. So now the explanation comes because the disciples asked him to explain this parable. So now we're down in uh we're still in Matthew 13, but we're in verse 37. He answered and said to them, "He that sweth the good seed is the son of man." Now, I want you I'm going to break this down as we go scripture by scripture. Son of man. Who is the son of man? Jesus. Jesus is the son of God who entered into his creation and became a man. Now he is also the son of man. So Jesus has a body. He now died on the cross. He has a body. Before he became the son of man, he was the son of God and he was in spirit. He's the one who said, "Let there be light." And there was like back in Genesis, you can go read Genesis 1 1-4 and and John chapter 1:es 1 through 2 and it will tell you who Jesus was in the beginning and that he did become the son of man. So here he's saying that he's the one who's sewing the good seed. You see, he's the gospel. He is the embodiment of the word of God. Jesus is the word and he became the son of man, the light of the world. He brought us salvation. He's the one that chooses to forgive us because again, you know, when they when uh God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit got together and talked about the flood and deciding to use the flood, they found righteous man, one righteous man, Noah, and then his family was covered under that righteousness. God made a decision to continue and let the world continue to live on in spite of how bad sin got just before the flood because there was only one righteous man left when the flood happened and God called Noah righteous. So with that, he decided to keep going. That's amazing because in all reality there was so much sin. It was awful. It was bad. And he was down to one righteous man. Could he have converted anyone else? It sounds like no. So God had to make a decision here. You're going to see that decision made in this parable. I think this is fascinating because it's it's like, well, why did he decide to do that? Let's continue on. The field is the world. The good seed are the children of the kingdom. So the field is the world. That's every this whole wide world. Okay. And then the good seed are those of us who choose to believe in Jesus. We're the sons of the good seed. We are children of the kingdom. We are part of the kingdom of God. We're the one who walk with Christ in his authority by declaring the name of Jesus over whatever it is or declaring that Jesus is Lord over whatever the circumstance circumstances is are. I have done a lot of teaching on that. So he's identifying in this parable, you who are the good seed are the children of the kingdom. And then he says, but the tears are the children of the wicked one. There's a wicked one. And that means these are children who work wickedness, evil. They're just doing everything bad. They don't choose good, they choose bad. They're walking in unrighteousness. They are walking in sin. and to some deliberately walking that way. And he says the enemy that sowed them is the devil. So now you know that those that walk in wickedness are those who are children of the devil. They Jesus clearly is identifying who these people are. They are the children of the devil. Those of us that walk in truth, righteousness, and walk in with Christ, we're children of God. And big distinct difference between truth. You got two groups of people that are here. Says the harvest is the end of the world. So at the end of the world, we're going to be harvested. Righteous are going to be taken and separated. Evil is going to be taken and separated. And he goes into more detail about that. Look at this. The harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels. So we know that the angels are going to come and they're going to reap. They're going to separate the tears, the evil from the good. Let's continue on. Verse 40. As therefore the tears are gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be in the end of this world. Look at that. As therefore the tears are gathered and burned in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this world. Tears the evil ones. So once the the wheat grows, you can see a distinct difference between good wheat and bad wheat. Tears and wheat. The tears look different. They're going to be it it's an an uglier color. They're going to look older. They're weak. But Jesus had decided to let them both grow together. And they're here. So, the angels are going to come and separate them. Now, he didn't want to separate them right away. Watch. Let's let's continue reading because I want to get this all in here. The son of man shall send forth his angels. They shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and them which do iniquity. So, they're going to come through and they're going to grab all the tears first. Uh they're going to grab all the the evil and they're going to separate. There is a separation that takes place here. You're going to have those that offend. Those are walking in sin. Sin is an offense. Also, sin is a separation from God. So, when you walk that way, you will be separated and you will be burned. You're going to see that here in just a moment. And the others are going to be separated and they're going to be light. Let's continue on. Says, "And shall cast them." And this is talking about the tears. The ones who have offended shall cast them into a furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and nashing of teeth. So let's pause here. So and remember this is a parable of a like of what God is saying is going to happen. Now he's saying there is a furnace that's going to burn up all of these evil people that are walking in offense. They did not turn their lives around. They did not repent. They did not choose good. They chose evil. If you're one of those that are watching this, it's now time to repent. And you need to do that and and turn your life around. You're going in the wrong direction. You're heading to a furnace. And it's very clear that this furnace exists. Hell is real. That is not a parable. It is a an actual location. And those who continue to sin will end up burning in hell lake of fire. It's not meant for you to go there. But you will go there because you're not choosing God. Because the only other choice you have is God. And if you're mad about that, too bad. He created you. He's your creator. And you need to humble yourself before him. Choose him because he is good. And if you choose goodness, you choose righteousness. you repent and say, "I rather walk with Jesus and acknowledge that he did come down on the cross and died for us, that he pardoned us, that he redeemed us, that he put his blood and paid for our sins." The moment you believe in that, your life changes and now you're on the good seed side. You are of good seed. So, you still have a chance to repent and become part of the good seed. I will tell you the end of the age is coming and it is coming very very quickly and there is a high probability and in fact I want to say 99.9% chance that this is going to happen in our lifetime. This is where we're headed. Uh as you can take a look at things that are going on in the world. You can take a look at what unbelievers and you can look at their the the way that they look at things. They're very um under a strong delusion and they choose to believe the lie over the truth. They're so confused. Satan does that. He's the author of confusion. So, he brings in all this confusion so that you wouldn't believe that God is God and that Jesus is the son of God. He does that to manipulate and lie to you. Well, Jesus is telling us this is what's going on. And he says, "There's an end that's coming and we're going to harvest and you're going to have to pull out the bad and you're going have to pull out the good and you're going to have to separate." The angels are going to do the separation. We're going to be separated. So the angels are going to have that's part of their job. Now might be not angels that come out and do messaging type of the word angel means messenger. Uh it's probably a heavenly creature that's very similar to what an angel is. uh we call them angels because that's the term we've used for them all these years because they are messengers from other worldly area the heavenly realm. Well, okay, now we're just we get to see that they have another job. Not just telling us a message, they're going to separate us. That's what Jesus is showing us in this parable. Let's continue on. Uh so there's going to be wailing and nashing of teeth. And look at verse 33. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the son in the kingdom of their father. Who hath ears to hear? Let him hear. Notice the sun. S U N. So this is a bright shining light. Then shall the righteous shine forth. So we're going to shine forth when we're separated. See the tears are darkness. They are a they darken everything around it. They mute everything. They dim everything around it. And right now, uh, where wheats and tears were muted, were dimmed. But the moment those tears are removed and separated from us, they're going to be burned in the fire, our light lights up even more. We become very bright, shining. This is those that are of the good seed. Now, this is a parable, but he's also explaining what's going to happen at the end of the age. Let's continue on and look at uh 1 John 3:7-10. Little children, let no man deceive or seduce you. He that doeth righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous, innocent, holy. You see, we have a decision to make. Do you want to be an evil tear or do you want to be a good seed of righteousness believing in the son of man, the son of God, Jesus, our holy savior? You have a choice. which way do you want to go? And for those of you who have been following for quite a while and you're a believer in Christ, we need to be urgent to let our loved ones, family members, friends who do not believe, we need to tell them what's coming. And if they continue to fight, that's between them. They're being deceived. They're being confused by the author of confusion, the devil, which I've already mentioned. He is confusing them. So they're deceived. So we the light need to keep exposing the lies. Continue to show them. Continue to pray for them and say, "Lord, save these people. Help them. Pray for them in the secret place." And what happens in the secret place? It gets shined or shown out in manifestation in the open. And that and and they know it. Your family will know when you're praying for them. They will know. I've seen it. I in my own family they know. So this is a time to humble yourself and get right with God. Spend some time with him. He is returning and he will be throwing those weed the excuse me the tears into the burning fire where there will be wailing and nashing of teeth. They're going to be so angry and in pain and they're going to think no we should not be. If you do not want to believe that Jesus Christ is our creator and son of God that came to die for us and pardon us, why should you be allowed into a place that you don't want to go to? See, your inside tells you you want to go there, but you don't want to follow the rules. It's like illegal immigration. You rather jump the wall and come into the goodness of everything. have the goodness but not pay the dues for the goodness. Did you know that heaven has walls? Yeah. So the nashing of teeth and wailing and the fire is outside of those walls. They can see in but they cannot touch. They cannot come in to get to heaven. Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except through me." You have to believe Jesus. Your name needs to be written in the the lamb's book of life. You have to have that. That's you paying your dues to say, "I rather enter into heaven and be there. I do not want to go to the lake of fire. I do not want to burn in the furnace. I'm not I don't want to be a wheat. I would ch I rather choose to be a child of righteousness." You know, Queen Victoria, she chose to be good. And she had a beautiful kingdom that lasted her a long time because she chose to do good. So when you choose to do good and you choose that you will have a beautiful life that the Lord will grant you. Yes, we know that the disciples and the apostles were all executed except for John um the beloved at the end. They were all beheaded or killed on the cross or you know they were martyed. But the here's the truth of the matter though. We have God's peace. You know, I've seen people walking uh through the news, just walking to go be martyed, singing hymns, praising the Lord. They're such a peace that is absolutely incredible. You see, it doesn't matter what happens in this world when you become a believer, when you choose to walk in righteousness, when you choose and finally understand the love of Jesus and what he did on the cross when he saved us. When you finally get that, it's nothing else matters. What matters is my eyes are fixed on my future where I'm going to be glorified in his presence at peace because I choose righteousness and I'm hoping to get as many tears converted to wheat as possible. This is why I do what I do. This is why I teach what I teach. Verse eight, he that committh sin offense is of the devil. For the devil sinnth from the beginning. For this purpose the son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. You see, here's another point of what Jesus decided to do. You see, at the time of the flood, he could have stopped everything and said, "I'm done with man." But he loved us so much that he says, "You know what? I'm going to go be their redeemer and I'm going to get a human body male. And that's exactly what he did. He was born of a virgin and he came and he chose to do that to save. That was his choice. He decided to let us grow together and let every person have the choice like he did to decide which side do we want. Do we want to follow the devil or do we want to follow Jesus? That's what he decided. That was his decision at the time of destroy the world and just get rid of it and start over or do whatever else or shall he try to save it? He chose to save it. And I'm so grateful for that. Think of it. I wasn't born back then. I would not even be alive had he not made the decision to even wait 2,000 years after uh his crucifixion. I'm here because of him. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. And it says here, "Whosoever is born," that word born there means procreate, regenerate of God, does not commit sin. For his seed remainth in him, and he cannot sin because he is born of God. You see the parable Jesus said, "The good seed is we're sons of the kingdom. We're children of his kingdom and we choose God." And that's the seed that remains in us. And we cannot sin because we are born of God now. We have changed. We are born of God. We're no longer a part of sin. Oh, hallelujah. Verse 10. In this, the children of God are manifest. We're shining. And notice, you know, here we are shining. We shine brighter than the tears that are around us. We're still muted. We're still dim, but we are shining brightly. And this is another thing is as soon as you start telling people about Jesus, they know the truth and they recognize it. Oh, hallelujah. In this, the children of God are manifest shining. And the children of the devil, whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. You see, the fruit is going to tell us right away who you are. You don't love your brother. You want to hurt him. You're backstabbing him in whatever situation you can take. That tells us you don't believe in God. You're not a child of God at that point. As a child of God, we walk in good right standing. We do not want to hurt anyone. We want to save as many as we can. Oh, hallelujah. Let's go back to Matthew 13. Look at verses 51 and 52. Jesus saith unto them, "Have you understood all these things? Have you put it together? Have you comprehended?" They said unto him, "Yeah, Lord." This is very important to understand. Do you understand that there is an end of the age that is coming and there is going to be a separation of good and evil and that the evil is going to be put into a burning furnace and they're going to burn. There will be nashing and wailing of teeth and that the good is going to shine brightly because they've chosen Jesus as their son of God, as their believer, as their savior. That is very important that we understand. And if you understand it as a believer, you need to help others understand so that they're not deceived, uh, seduced by the devil, manipulated by the devil, not be, uh, under that strong delusion. We need to continue to one, pray in the spirit for them, and two, we need to be there for them to answer their questions because the Lord is working on them. They're thinking about it. Just we got to hope that they think about it quickly. Amen. And then look what he says here in verse 52. Then said he unto them, therefore every scribe which is instructed, that's a a pupil disciple unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old. Let me explain. That is like me taking up my calling to get as many saved as possible. I hope this word goes out there. I hope people listen to it, but I understand if they don't. I just pray and continue to pray and hope for these people to get saved. And I do my part of it. I try to teach it so that you understand. I try to explain it so that you know. And if you take a look at my life as an example and you go through the history of all the teaching, I got a lot of teachings in here from goes back from uh well I did uh written teaching back in 2013, but I started uh vlogging in 2017. So I've been doing this for a long time now. You can see the change the change that's happened within myself, the changes in my life. The Lord has blessed us richly. I choose God and I choose to walk with him and I hope that you do the same. I choose to put first God. You know, Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God." So, I'm seeking first by teaching. I want to make sure that uh you all hear the kingdom of God's message. You hear the word of God. You hear the pardon, the redemption because it's such treasure. Having Jesus is a beautiful treasure that I hold in my hands, but I don't want to keep it secret. I want to show you now. People are going to get jealous and angry because I'm holding on to this beautiful gem of redemption and it is blessing me because I am blessed richly because of it. Not just financial blessing, but at peace. I've got such a peace. I have such a solid rock of foundation on the name of Jesus and his salvation that I stand here and I can declare the name of Jesus and know that he is there with me in everything. I hold hands with him. I talk with him. He talks to me through his word. I hear it. This is a blessing. So seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness. I choose be right standing. I choose to walk in the goodness. I don't want to walk in evil. I don't want to be a wheat that or a tear that's pulled out and burned in a furnace. No, I choose God. I choose his righteousness. And then says Matthew 6:33 to finish the scripture. All these things will be added unto you. The whole scripture reads, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added into you. This is why I can walk in peace. This is why I can stand here and know that I'm healed. know that I'm delivered and know that I have no enemies coming after me that will prevail because when they try to attack, I quote the scripture. No, the gates of hell will not prevail against the church and I'm part of the church. That's how I know where I stand. And I pray over myself every day. I pray over every person I am praying. I'm in constant prayer because I choose good righteousness. I am of the good seed and I hope that you are of the good seed as well and that you procreate. Let your seed, Jesus seed, continue to fall around you. Let that word manifest and let's grow and bring more fruit and bring more harvest in so that they're not going to the furnace. Amen. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Lord Jesus, I just pray that people hear this word. Even read it. Just read it. They don't have to listen to my message. I just pray that they read it, understand it, and see and know that you are the son of God. That you have redeemed us. And I ch I pray that they choose to walk with you and that they choose to become part of the good seed that you have offered us. Lord, thank you. Thank you for your word. Let it not uh let us not forget it. Let us hold and cling on to it and let us have the urgency to share that word with others. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I'll see you in the next teaching. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

DO YOU KNOW YOU'RE CLEANSED IN CHRIST? To help believers understand the power of Christ’s cleansing work, emphasizing that transformation begins with His spoken word and continues through abiding in Him. This teaching aims to show how abiding in Christ produces lasting fruit, develops love, and brings believers into a deeper relationship with Him. DO YOU KNOW YOU'RE CLEANSED IN CHRIST? Minister Lisa Kane January 12, 2025 Objective: To help believers understand the power of Christ’s cleansing work, emphasizing that transformation begins with His spoken word and continues through abiding in Him. This teaching aims to show how abiding in Christ produces lasting fruit, develops love, and brings believers into a deeper relationship with Him. Synopsis: This message explores John 15:1–17, where Jesus describes Himself as the true vine and believers as branches. The teaching highlights how salvation brings immediate cleansing through Christ’s spoken word, but also how ongoing transformation occurs as we abide in Him. Believers are reminded that cleansing is not something we accomplish by ourselves; it is the continual work of Christ purging old habits, renewing the heart, and producing fruit. Abiding in Christ means maintaining a living relationship with Him—through prayer, worship, and immersion in His word. From this abiding flow the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These fruits not only bless the believer but also serve as a testimony to others, drawing them to Christ. The teaching also emphasizes the necessity of pruning, the process by which God removes what hinders spiritual growth. Though pruning may be painful, it results in greater fruitfulness and joy. Love is central to this abiding relationship: Jesus commands believers to love one another with the same benevolent and affectionate love He has shown. Ultimately, believers are reminded that they are chosen and ordained by Christ to bear fruit that remains. Through His word, His cleansing, and His abiding presence, Christians are empowered to walk in transformation, resist sin, and live in joy as true friends of Jesus. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this teaching on January 12th, 20125. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for bringing the knowledge of your salvation and what it has done to our hearts and to our minds that we may stand faithful, true, strong on your name, on the firm foundation that you have laid for us. Thank you, Father God. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Welcome. I'm glad you can join us today. So, this is going to be a very interesting new teaching. very very basic, very simple, but at the same time very powerful. I love that. This is called, "Do you know you're cleansed in Christ?" Oh, let's bring some knowledge to our minds today, shall we? So, starting here in John 15:es 1-2. This is our opening scriptures. I am the true vine and my father is the husbandman or that word husbandman means land worker, farmer. Verse two, every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away. And every branch that beareth fruit, he purgth, or to cleanse, prune it that it may bring forth more fruit. So when we're talking about being cleansed in Christ, let's get some knowledge here. When you become saved, you change exponentially. sometimes slowly through time, sometimes instantaneously, but there's always a transformation that takes place at being a believer in Christ and abiding in him and you know getting to know him as much as he's getting to know you as you let him get to know you. So there's this abiding factor, dwelling factor between you and Christ and Christ in you and it cleanses you. It purges you. It it gets rid of things. And let me just simply make a statement here that I thought was very fascinating. I heard this from uh pastor at the Bendy Canyon Church. He said, "We tolerate the dislikes within us and we don't deal with them. So, we're not expuning them. We're not getting rid of them. We tolerate. We put up with. We don't want to make those efforts and changes in our lives that we need to make." But here's the interesting part is Christ is already doing that change in you every moment of every day. So here we can trust in Christ that who began a good work is going to finish a good work in us. Amen. So let's go to verse three. We're going to be here in John 15 for the most part. Um let let's break this down. So here verse three. Now you're clean or pure through the word something that said which I have spoken unto you. Let me explain how I do the scriptures in case you're new. I'm putting King James version scriptures up here. The word that's in bold is the King James version uh word that was translated from either Hebrew or Greek. In this case, Greek because this is the New Testament. And then the words in parentheses are other definitions or other words the translator could have used in lie of that first word. So, um it's kind of like an amplified Bible thing. I am adding these extra words in, but it's so I can give you the fullness of what that scripture means. And I am not using the Amplified version. I'm using the King James version because I want you to see the definition of what it was meant at the time of translation. I hope that makes sense. So, let's go here to verse three again. Now, you're clean or pure through the word something said which I have spoken unto you. If you follow any of my teachings, I have taught exponentially on speaking the word over your life. Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord. So, you're constantly saying Jesus is Lord. Jesus is Lord over cancer. Jesus is Lord over my mind. Well, here Jesus spoke a word unto us. He says you're clean because of that spoken word. He blessed us and he caused us to be clean. So he's saying, "I've already done that for you." I know that a lot of churches and a lot of preachers and a lot of pastors teach on we've got to get ourselves clean. Well, Jesus did that for us and we just need to let him do it. Let it transform us. If you're somebody who has a habit of using God's name in vain or speaking foul language or anything of that nature, what happens is the moment you become a believer, you're things start to change. You realize first I shouldn't be speaking in that. I shouldn't be saying those words. then um you you use it less and eventually you can go by and you'll look back and go, "Man, I haven't said any of those bad words in a long time." That is how transformation in Christ takes place. But it there's a there's a a start to it. Jesus spoke a word over you and he cleansed you. So when you become a believer and you think, man, I am so messed up still or the devil is doing this against me or making me do this or whatever, good news is Jesus cleansed you from the get-go. You are cleansed, pured, because he spoke a word over you. Now he does add on to that in verse four. He says, "Abide." That word abide by the way means to stay, continue, dwell, endure, be present, stand, tarry in me. Abide in me and I in you. How do you do something like this? You need to have a relationship with him. We do have and and remember how Ecclesiastes is spoken and written, there's a time for this, there's a time for that. Well, you need to set your time aside to abide in him, Jesus. And and there's multiple ways to do it. You can do it all at once or bit pieces, however, but praise and worship music, put some on and just give him the holy praise that he deserves. Amen. Um sometimes just opening up the word of God and just looking at it going, "Oh, let him talk to you." And sometimes we got so much on our chest that we just cry to get it out. And when you're crying, that is purging all of the hurt, the pain, the suffering, that's also abiding in God. Amen. Amen. So he says, "Abide in me and I in you." Because he's meeting you there. You're right there with him. Especially if you're reading the word because now it's coming inside of you. But that's a spoken word that is written down. He was the flesh of the word of God. He and it got written down by different authors and his words abiding in you. But it only abides in you if you open it and you read it. He spoke a cleansing word over you. You need to receive that cleansing word. You need to abide in that cleansing word. You need to hear it. You need to listen to it. You need to obey the Holy Spirit because in that is where you're going to see that transformation take place. So, if you've got one foot in the world, meaning nobody at your job or nobody outside of church knows you're a Christian, you have a problem. and you're wondering why things aren't happening the way you hoped there. God should be shaking your life right now and getting you awake and telling you, "I need you to abide in me." Let's have a relationship. Amen. So he says, "Abide in me and I in you as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine. No more can ye except ye abide in me." Very important here. What of fruit are we talking about? You have fruit of the goodness that can come out of you and then you have fruit of bringing someone to the Lord. So the the uh the fruit of the spirit is joy, love, peace, gentleness, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and kind uh self-control. You have the fruit, and you can go look it up. It's in Galatians 5:22 and 23. I should have brought it here. I did not. But I'm going to allow you to do a little bit of homework here and I want you to go look them up. These fruits should be coming out of you because you're abiding in the word. And abiding is a continuous ongoing thing that needs repetition. Once a week is not repetition. If you're going to church once a week, it's not enough. Actually, one of the reasons that we do this ministry is to supplement what you're getting at your church because your pastor can only teach you what he's teaching the entire congregation and his congregation is moving in the direction that the Lord has given him and that's what he's going to teach. But you as an individual have more. You do more. You're part of this. You're a branch of Jesus. And as a branch of the vine, you need to be bearing more fruit. This is how you can bear more fruit of love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness. This is how you build your self-control. It is the abiding in him. And what's happening is as that is manifesting, it's changing you. You are becoming a different person. So he says and and otherwise if you're not doing that, you cannot bear that fruit. You can act like you're good. You know, things happen to people all the time. And one of the questions that is asked is why did this bad thing happen to this good person? That good person was so good that they fooled you. I'm not saying they weren't uh good. They probably were, but we don't know the heart of that person. Only God does. So whatever that circumstance is between that person and God, we shouldn't even be asking. should be asking, am I being filled with the fruit of the spirit? Am I bearing the right fruit? Am I being fruitful to bring people to the Lord? Draw them in, water them, nurture them. Remember, as he's describing himself as the vine and where the branches, take a look at how Adam was created. He's dirt. He was made from dirt. Eve was an extension of that being made from the rib. Well, then a seed is planted in us soil. And that seed needs to get water. We get water baptized. We come up to germinate and keep the seed growing. We need to be in the light of the word. That's where we get our sunlight, the Jesus light, s light if you will. We also get watered and nurtured through the living word of God, the spoken word of God. And this is how we begin to grow branches. And we begin to have fruit. And by the way, the fruit that comes off of the branch, the love, the joy, the peace, all of that fruit is to be partaken from or of from others. They come take the fruit off of our branches and they partake. They like your pen. It's so neat that you show love. It's so neat that you have joy considering what you're going through. is so neat. You're setting an example and you're simply telling him, I abide in the word of God. My foundation is the name of Jesus. He is whom I am dwelling in and this is the manifestation of him. Hallelujah. That is so neat. So he says, I am, this is going on to verse five, I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth, here's that word abideth again, to stay, continue, dwell, endure, be present, stand here in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me, you can do nothing. You see, you cannot show love without having Christ in you. And I will show that in scripture here in just a moment. You cannot uh you think um by showing love let's say to uh someone who has uh done evil. You can love them through spirit. You can't love them physically. It it is a physically impossible thing for a non-believer to like or love that person because they don't have the spirit of God in them. So they're looking at that person and that person's evil. Oh, that person needs, you know, but when you have Christ in you and abiding you, you begin to love people like that because Jesus loves them just as much as he loves me. Jesus loves you just as much as he loves me. Is that awesome? That was just so neat. But you can't have that if you're not dwelling in the vine. You got to be hooked up to the vine. And and how does a branch get fed by the vine? It's a continuous feed of the nutrients and the liquid through the veining between the vine and the branch on the inside. So you need to get your veins connected to Jesus so you're fed continuously. Oh, what a powerful analogy there. Verse six, if a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch and is withered. You ever look at a person and they look like the walking dead? They're a dead person walking. They just look so dried up. They're so miserable on the inside. And in fact, it shocks you every once in a while when you see them smile and you're just like, "Where did that come from?" Well, here is the the whole analogy of this. When you are not walking with Christ, you look dead, sad. You look like it's the end of the world. We just had we're having the those fires in Los Angeles right now and seeing the people who lost their homes and the pain and the suffering they're going through. They're grieving. They're in pain. They're they but they look like they're dead. In fact, withered, dried up branches burn easily than someone who is filled with the anointing, the veining of Christ Jesus. Big difference. So it says if a uh a man abide not in me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them to lead together collect convene and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned. You see men are the ones who are going to throw you and cast you out. The way that men will know you is by your fruit. They will know you by your fruit. So, if you're in church playing church and there's a group and you're there part of that group and you're meeting and somebody says, "Well, maybe we should pray uh have a prayer meeting here and meet on Tuesday nights or whatever." You might be saying, "Well, uh, that sounds great, but shouldn't we do that on our own?" You see, you are the one interjecting the fruit of what's inside of you. Here a church trying to pray more as a gathering where two or three are gathered and here you're trying to isolate it by dividing and dividing comes from Satan. That is fruit and you can see it in people. It's very identifiable. You will know them by their fruit. So continuing on to verse 7, it says if you abide in me, here he is again talking about dwelling in him. You abide in me and my words abide in you. We know in Romans 10:9 that it says that if you confess Jesus is Lord. If you confess with your mouth, that's what happens. You're confessing the word of God. He's saying and my words abide in you. If they're in here, so if you see something happening, you need to pray for somebody or a situation, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. You start speaking the word of God because that word is abiding in you and it starts to manifest and bubble out. That's your fruit and people see it, recognize it, hear and know that you are truly a branch in the vine of Christ. You're veining in with Christ. Amen. So it says uh if you abide in me and my words abide in you, ye shall ask. That word to ask means to beg, call for, crave, desire, require. Says, "Ye shall ask what ye will or what your determination is and it shall be done unto you." If you are determined about something that is of the will of God, it is of scripture. I guarantee and promise you that if you're asking him for it, he is going to give it to you. Now, that doesn't mean you're not going to ever have any sufferings in your life or you're never going to be sad or anything of that nature, but he will answer your prayers. And sometimes the answer isn't what we really were expecting because he's got something better planned for you. Amen. But this is part of abiding in him. And as you abide more and you're more pruned, because that's what's happening to fruit that is bearing or a branch that is bearing fruit, you are pruned. You have to be pruned. Meaning there are cuts. You're going to hurt it. It stings. But you learn from that. And that fruit begins to manifest. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Verse 8, herein is my father glorified or honored, magnified that ye bear much fruit. So shall ye be my disciples or your learner, the learner pupil. So all of this is to glorify the father because we glorify Jesus who is of the father and when we know Jesus we know the father and John talks about that in depth. So this is all to the point of glorifying the father. You dwelling in him. You calling on his name. You speaking his word. He goes to his glory and people know it. Recognize it and see the fruit. They recognize the cleansing that's taking place in you because you're walking in that cleansing and it's manif manifesting. That's awesome. And this is you're learning. You're a pupil. This is how you become a disciple of Christ is your learning. That's what disciples mean. Verse nine, as a father hath loved me, so have I loved you. Continue ye in my love. I want you to see something here is very very important. As the father hath loved, that word love is a different love than what we've seen in the past. It's a dative love, accusative kind of love because the father sees us. He knows what he what we're doing. But it's also a social moral obligation kind of love that Jesus always asks us to do. But when you see what Jesus did and what the word love there means says uh so I so have I loved you which is the same loved as the first one and then this third love continue ye in my love that love means affection benevolence difference. You see, when you have a baby and you bring home your baby, you are obligated to take care of that baby. And you may not have the affection and the benevolence of that for that baby yet. And you may have it right away, but sometimes it takes a little bit more for some people. But as you go throughout the years and then that baby grows up and they give you attitude or they tell you, "I hate you or anything of that nature," you're still obligated. That that's your child. You're still obligated or have that love. You still need to take care of them. You still have to take the upper road, the higher road, the moral, the sense, the obligation. You have that Jesus has done that, but he also did it out of affection and benevolence. The teaching of love through the scriptures is so powerful. It's amazing. I don't want to go down that rabbit hole, but I want you to see the difference here of what he's talking about. And then he continues on in verse 10. If you keep my commandments, that word commandment means authoritative prescription. You know, when Jesus says this, do in remembrance of me, when he's talking about holy communion, every time you take holy communion and brings you back to the cross, you repent, you you come back to Christ, you remember what he did on the cross, you take the broken bread, you drink the wine. As soon as you do that, it places you back in a right standing of good health. Because who is our healer? Jehovah uh Jehovah Rafa Jehovah Gyrus uh Jesus is our provider God our provider Jehovah Rafa God our healer he is our healer so he's saying if you keep my commandments which is authoritative prescription you are under his prescription he's written you a doctor's note and you're healed I hope you're getting that it's a fascinating little little point to make here says says, "If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love." Now, see how it says here in his love, which is affection and benevolence. Now, you have the affection and the benevolent kind of love that he has for us. It had to be developed. It had to be pruned. It had to be cut. You had to go through these things in order to get to that love. Because there's more than just having a social moral obligation. There is the affection and the benevolence. And the powerful thing is I cannot see Jesus but I know he's there. That is the affection and the benevolence I have now. I can love him because I know he's there. Amen. And even as I have kept my father's commandments and abide in his love. So he's saying you keep my commandments, you're going to abide in this kind of love just like I did my father's commandments and I have his affection and benevolence. These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might remain in you. And that is a cheerful cheerfulness, calm delight is what he's talking about with that joy might remain in you and that your joy might be full or leveled up. You see, when we face all of these situations, oh man, we can forget the love that he has and it hurts. It's painful. But he's saying, I'm here for you. I'm never going to leave you. I'm never going to forsake you. And because I'm in spirit, because now that he has died and risen from the grave, he's so much more. And he could be with us at all times. This is why he sent the comforter. Now coming to verse 12, this is my commandment. Again, authoritative prescription that you love one another as I have loved you. So now he's telling you as you grow in this, as you abide in me, I need you to love one another because this is your fruit. They're going to see and they're going to know. And when they know this, there it's going to draw them in. He says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man laid down his life for his friends." Look at what that greater love is. It's the affection and benevolence. And look at what friends are. We're dear, actively fond. He is actively fond of us. So he not only calls us a social moral obligation with love, but he calls us with benevolence and uh affection. And then he says, "I'm actively fond of you." In fact, he goes on to say, "You're my friends if you do whatsoever I command you." He says, "If you I'm charging you to love one another. You keep this up. You are my dear friend." That is so neat. That is just how he's So there's this relationship from abiding in him, which he cleansed you of the old. He's purging you of the old, of the bad habits, the things that we tend to tolerate, we put up with because we don't want to change, but yet Christ is changing us anyways little by little. We may fight it tooth and nail, kicking and screaming, but the spirit is changing us. And the more we allow him to change it versus tolerating what we want to keep the sin in our lives, we want to sin, we want this, we want that. Eventually, the spirit helps us release that and let it go. And we can walk in this simply by abiding in him. If you're sinning and you think that's going to keep you from God, you know what? Just ask him to forgive you and and come back into his word. It's a battle and you just keep coming back to that word. You keep coming back and abiding in that word. You keep reading that word even though you may have tripped, you've fallen, you messed up, you sinned again, spoke foul language, whatever it is, but you came back. That's overcoming the devil because the devil keeps telling me, "Ah, you're worthless. You can't do it. You can't do it on That's right. We couldn't do it on our own. But guess what? Jesus did it for us. And I'm going to keep calling on the name of Jesus. keep abiding in him and let him fill me up because he is greater than in me than he in the world. Oh, hallelujah. I hope you guys are getting this. Verse 15, henceforth I call you not servants. You're not a slave anymore. For the servant knoweth or is where not what his lord doeth. See, we don't as a servant, you can't know what your master's doing. But because we're friends, we are says, "But I've called you friends. For all things that I have heard of my father, I have made known to you." You see, you now know what's going on from the father direct through the son because he redeemed you, he purged you, he cleansed you. Because he has spoken his word over you. You're now his friends. Which means you have the knowledge to be healed, to walk in the healing, to be overcomers. You messed up. Yeah, but you can come back. And you always come back. You always open up the word. You always pray. You're always giving him the glory. And before you know it, that's your new routine. That's what you're keeping is his commandments, his prescription, his authoritative prescription in your life. And then you wonder why everything's going so good. That's why. Hallelujah. And yes, even if bad things are happening, you're still sitting there and standing there with a a joy in your heart. That's man, Jesus is on my side because I've done this. Wow. I'm so glad, Jesus, that you've done this in my life. Oh, I hope you guys grab on to this. I hope you do. Says, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you and ordained you." which all it means is have you now bowed down and kneel ordained you that ye should go forth and bring that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain. So now that fruit in you should be drawing in people who want to partake of that fruit. Oh, and they're going to take it off of your branch that whatsoever ye shall ask, cuz he's saying now, your fruit will remain and then whatever you ask, you're begging, you're calling, you're craving, desiring, requiring of the father in my name, he may give it to you simply because you have chose you're he's chosen you and you're abiding him. He's changed you. He's cleansed you. He's worked something new in you. He's purging you and you're in the process. You're like a work in progress change. Hallelujah. And verse 17, these things I command you that you love one another. So he's re-emphasizing. It is your love toward one another. The fruit that you are growing. How they're going to recognize you one, but they're also going to want to partake and they're going to ask you and you're going to have the opportunity to say, "Hey, it's because Jesus, he's my redeemer." And you know what? Even though I keep messing up, he keeps forgiving me because he loves me that much. They want to hear that. This is you bearing fruit now, bringing in the fruit and drawing in the fruit. This is the cleansing and the purging that's taking place in 1 John 1 7-9 says, "But if we walk, that's the cleansing part. That's the purging part, the abiding." This is exactly what I just read through John 15. That is walking in the Lord. Oh, hallelujah. But if we walk be occupied with in the light because that word walk means be occupied with in the light as he is in the light. We have fellowship or partnership one with another. And the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanseth or pur purifies us from all sin. All because you keep coming back. Keep coming back. You are more than a conqueror. Keep coming back. Verse eight. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. We go astray. Uh but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness because he spoke his word over you. So he cleansed you, purified you. You just got to keep coming back and you just got to keep reading his word, keep dwelling. If you couldn't get to it today, make it a priority for tomorrow. But come back. Keep coming back. You have already been cleansed. So now when you are asked the question, do you know if you've been cleansed? You can say, I have been because the name of Jesus is over me because he spoke his word over me. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. Let your word be planted in our hearts and minds so that we live it and abide in your word. we make your word a priority in our lives that we're reading it. We're dwelling with you. We're abiding you and you are abiding in us. Thank you for letting us have that beautiful relationship with you to continue to hear your voice in our hearts and minds and to know and to follow your commandments. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

DELIGHTING IN THE LAW OF THE LORD To encourage believers to discover true happiness and transformation by delighting in the Word of God, meditating on it day and night, and walking in His counsel rather than in the ways of the ungodly. The teaching aims to show that joy, peace, and prosperity flow from spending time in God’s presence, receiving His truth, and allowing the Holy Spirit to change hearts and minds. DELIGHTING IN THE LAW OF THE LORD Minister Lisa Kane June 29, 2025 Objective: To encourage believers to discover true happiness and transformation by delighting in the Word of God, meditating on it day and night, and walking in His counsel rather than in the ways of the ungodly. The teaching aims to show that joy, peace, and prosperity flow from spending time in God’s presence, receiving His truth, and allowing the Holy Spirit to change hearts and minds. Synopsis: This teaching, rooted in Psalm 1:1–2, explores the blessings of delighting in the law of the Lord. Lisa Kane begins with prayer, emphasizing the power of God’s Word to transform lives. She explains that “blessed” means happy, and happiness comes from refusing ungodly counsel, avoiding the path of sinners, and not sitting with the scornful. Instead, believers are to seek counsel from the Bible and godly people, entering the secret place with the Lord for strength and renewal. Through examples such as Paul and Silas worshipping in prison, she illustrates how joy can be present even in suffering when one abides in God’s Word. The teaching highlights the importance of meditation—keeping Scripture in thought day and night—as a way to cultivate peace, forgiveness, and fruitfulness. Like a tree planted by rivers of water, the believer prospers when rooted in God’s Word, bearing spiritual fruit and reflecting God’s love to others. Kane contrasts the righteous with the ungodly, who are unstable and carried away by worldly trends. She reminds listeners of God’s ultimate judgment, stressing the need for repentance and intercessory prayer for the lost. Finally, she exhorts believers to prioritize time with God, to let His Word shape desires, and to walk in the joy and prosperity that come from seeking Him first. The message closes with a prayer of thanksgiving for God’s transforming presence, urging believers to continue delighting in His law so that His love, peace, and power overflow in their lives. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane and I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, June 29th, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Your word will not return void. And I thank you for that. I pray for the listeners of this teaching that their hearts and minds are prepared to see, hear, receive, and believe. and that your word ministers so deep that they cannot forget nor let it go. And I thank you for changing our lives and changing who we are and transforming us so that we do delight in your word. Thank you, Father God. In the glorious mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. I'm glad you can join me today for today's teaching. I'm calling it delighting in the law of the Lord. Let us go here and we're going to start in um Psalm 1:es 1 and two. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor siteth in the seat of the scornful. So, if you are new here and this is your first time um seeing how I teach. I am called to teach the word of God. I do teach the word of God. I'm going to show you here in the King James version. The words that are in bold print are the original words in the King James version. The ones next to the bold print in parenthesis are other words the translators could have used when translating the scriptures and they just didn't do choose those words. I add that in because I want you to get the full flavor of the original text because we are speaking a different language than what it was written in. Okay. So here in Psalm, we're going to be talking about delighting in the law of the Lord. And I I want you to see something here. Blessed is the man. That word blessed means happy. Happy is the man. If you ever wonder why you're not happy, this is why. It says here, happy is the man that walketh not in the counsel or the advice of the ungodly. In other words, you're getting your advice, your counsel from the word of God. You can't get it from the word of God if you don't know the word of God. So here we are clearly seeing that one of the blessings of spending time in the Lord, delighting in his law is walking in the counsel of godly righteous truth which is the holy bible. Now there are people who live in the holy bible. can quote scriptures to you left and right. Uh you can dwell with those people. They can be good counselors for you. But the best counsel that you have as a a person in ministry or even just a person just walking in the world doing whatever you want to do, your best advice comes from the Bible. And part of the problem is that you just don't know what the Bible says. So here I want you to understand you can have happiness. You can be happy. You know, there's a lot of people who teach that you can't be because when you're suffering with Christ, you can't be happy. I'm gonna tell you right now, Paul and Silas were in prison and those prisons were in the ground and it was full of feces and what have you after they were beaten up, which I'm sure they received no medical treatment for the beatings that they took because it was intentional to hurt. Make a point to Paul and Silas. And yet they began to worship the Lord in that atmosphere. They were happy and the Lord broke them out of their prison because of that happiness. So here, blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly. Meaning you are walking in the word of God with people who are also in the word of God. And when the two or three of you get together in the word of God, there is true happiness. This is where you begin to delight. This is why we take it very serious in entering into the secret place with the Lord. That is in Psalm 91. We come into the secret place with the Lord. This is this means that we we spend time with God in his Bible away from everybody else because we're trying to learn the scriptures. We're trying to let it minister to us. We're trying to let it come out of us. That is dwelling, delighting in the law of the Lord. And I promise you this that if you're new to that and you've been a believer though for a while, but you're starting to do your daily devotions, this is more than a devotional. It really is. This is actually spending time talking to him. One, so you're praying and then hearing from him, too, which is you're reading the word of God. And what you're doing is you're allowing the Holy Spirit to work in your mind. You're allowing the scriptures to just build up. So always remember, you can have happiness because you're walking in the right standing with the Lord. So if you feel an oppression coming on and you're just not feeling like you can do anything, let me tell you straight up. You tell that oppression to get lost and you say, "Listen, I spend time with the counsel of the Lord and I am happy because I'm blessed for doing that." Psalm 1:1. And you pray that scripture into that circumstance. Bam, you got power. You You have transformation that changes and takes place in you. Amen. So look at what it says here. Let let's let's break it down. So blessed are happy is a man that walketh not in the counsel of vice of the ungodly which is morally wrong. People who are morally wrong. So let's just take a morally wrong situation. Let's say there's somebody who is a prolific uh liar. Somebody who lies all the time. You know this. You don't get advice from a liar. meaning you don't go get advice from the devil. Let's say you know somebody who is a chronic thief, a kleptomaniac. They're constantly just grabbing things and taking it with them or a hoarder or you know because and and people call it a sickness. Well, that sickness bows down to the name of Jesus, the son of the living God. This is where you stand and you stand on his word. So, you don't get advice from these who are doing that. You don't get advice from TV shows that aren't promoting the Lord Jesus. You don't get advice from the current uh social way of doing things. And my truth, my truth, I am well a man or a woman, opposite of whatever it is. I promise you, if you think you're a man, but you're biologically a woman, let me tell you something. And when you get through heaven, God is not going to address you by the sex that you want to be. He's going to address you by the sex he made you to be. This is a time where you need to get counsel from righteous, godly people. Don't go by the world. Do not follow the morally wrong situation. And by the way, I just taught last week that his righteous word, his godly righteousness is already built within our heart. We already have that righteousness. So you know what's morally wrong. Look what else it says here. Nor standeth or abide or appoint in the way of sinners. You don't stand in the way of sinners. Wait, what? What? What? Let's break this down. I want you to understand that I am called to teach the word of God. I'm going to do my best here to teach, but the one who's talking to you is the Holy Spirit. So listen very carefully to what he's saying in your mind. Listen to the scripture. Look at what he says. Blessed is a man that walk not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor abide or appoints in the way of sinners. Doesn't stand in the way of sinners. So if somebody is intentionally sinning, guess what? Stand back. Stand away. Don't stand in their path. That's between them and God. It is not for us to try to make somebody righteous or holy. We're in the flesh. And in fact, all it does is open the door for them to judge you. And they will point it out, by the way. Instead, I highly recommend you pray for them because now you're dealing with, remember, we're dealing with in Ephesians 6, powers and principalities, rulers, uh, of the air. You're dealing with that kind of thing, which means you have to deal with it in the spiritual. So, don't physically stand in the way of the path of sinners, but go before the Lord in that sacred place and pray. Pray. Pray without ceasing. As first Thessalonians 5:17 tells us, pray without ceasing. Pray. And I promise you, prayer and fasting, by the way, when you enter into that with the Lord, that breaks all those powerful principalities that are in the air and around us that we have to follow and obey. There are rules and regulations both in the physical and the spiritual. For example, I cannot walk through the wall unless it's opened. Jesus can walk on water. He broke every rule that he came when he came into his own creation. That was his creation. His creation wasn't so that we can walk on water. We swim in water. But he decided to break that rule and walk on water. And it served his purpose in the moment. And nobody's walked on water since. So, and then he called Peter out at the same time. Remember how he did that? That was Jesus showing his showing his world to us and what the power and the authority he has which by the way we are joint hes with him. I know Philillip he suddenly disappeared when he was ministering to the unic and he ended up going to another town instantaneously. That's scripture you can go read it in acts. So don't want to stand in the way of sinners. Let the Lord deal with them. Nor siteth in the seat of the scornful. Oh those that mock us. They mock us. You don't have to mock them back. You don't have to say anything. Don't stand in their way. Let them mock. By the way, they're not mocking you. They're mocking God. And let's realize what's the most important thing. We don't want anyone to go to hell. What we want is for them to get saved, which means prayer. I I cannot, you know, for the last couple of years, if not longer, I have been emphasizing spending time in the secret place with the Lord and prayer. This is the time to pray. This is why we need to change in our heart to delight in the law of the Lord. We need to delight. How do you delight in something? You let the Holy Spirit change you. you instead of getting mad and hating those that are pointing at you, you don't see their faces. Look at the demonic activity behind them. That's of the devil. That's your enemy. So delight in his law. Let the Lord change you so that you can forgive them, which stops every single attack. It stops it. The moment you forgive him, it stops that attack. Oh, I love that. That is so powerful. And we as believers have that and we can do that. So, and we can be happy about it because we walk with the Lord in the secret place with the transformation that he made in our hearts and minds. Here we are changed, transformed where we love one another and that we forgive one another. Amen. Now continuing on two verse two. But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law does he meditate day and night. Let's talk about the law of the Lord. We know that Jesus fulfilled the law. The law tells us we are sinners. But see, we now have a different law to follow. We follow Jesus and he is the one who shows love. He shows mercy. He will forgive anyone of anything ever. That is the opportunity that we have. And notice what it says here. It says to meditate day and night. How do you meditate on Sunday? It's got to be in your thoughts. You got to be thinking about it. And how do you think about it? You are constantly remembering his word. You Sometimes I'll as I'm going to sleep at night, I don't fall asleep right away. I'll be laying there and I'll think of an event like Jesus walking on water and visualizing trying to visualize Peter coming out of that that boat to get on the water wondering how big the boat was. What what was he doing at that time? I mean, how was he feeling at that time? He looked like he was scared, but he had his eyes fixed on Jesus. And as he was walking with Jesus and he was meditating. See he was focused on Jesus then he can walk on the water. The law of the spirit realm that Jesus has given us as joint hes. You know the power of our tongue we can speak blessings or cursings. This is why it's very important to allow the Lord to change us by meditating, delighting in his law so that we can be the overcomer and stop the attacks and be happy about it. That's that's a blessing that we have. Look what it says here in Psalm 37:4. Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. I'm going to tell you right now, I don't like it when somebody mocks me or scorns me. I don't like that. But see, because I forgave them, it stopped. I had the desire in my heart. But the desire of my heart had to change because I had to meditate on him to find out what that was. Otherwise, I I would not have known that. And maybe a preacher is preaching it out there. I don't know. All I know is that I found out because I spent time in the word of God. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Going back to Psalm 1 in verse three. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. You see, there's a time to meditate and there's a time to be in that peaceful moment. You're at peace when you're meditating. You're delighting in the law. You're reading his word and it thrills you. And what it does, you become so relaxed physically because you have entered into a peaceful calming moment where all hell may be breaking out in the world, but you are in this peaceful moment. You're like a tree planted by a river. And as your fruit grows and matures, because now you're beginning to love others because God, you can't love without God. You have to have his love enter you. That's a fruit of the spirit. Same with self-control. All of these fruits have to manifest out of you. How do they do that? You have to let them grow. So, it has to be a seed that planted. I had the epiphany that God loves terrorists just as much as he loves me. And I'm going to tell you that was a very strong epiphany. That was a seed. That was just the seed. And the fruit gets bigger and bigger because now that I pray for them because I love them, because my Lord loves them, it changes the dynamics of everything. And I'm at peace. I am happy. I am delighted to be in that. And I become more of this tree and the fruits hanging on my branches. And guess what happens as I go places that fruit is available and it's eye-catching. It's very tantalizing. Somebody wants to grab it. They want to say, "What is it that you have?" Because when you're at peace like that, there's no sin. There's no corruption within your your bones. You are healed. You're happy. Being happy is having good health. Being happy is having him manifest out of you. And it is just absolutely thrilling. I love that. And it says here, "His leaf also shall not wither." Now you've got these glossy leaves there. It's very attractive. You're not withering. And people see it, they know it, they want it. And then they ask you, "What is it that you do? How do you do this?" And I tell them I delight in his law. I meditate day and night in the you know the first thing what I do when I wake up every morning is I pray and read my Bible. The second thing I do at the end of the day is I read and pray my Bible before I go to sleep. So before I wake or when I wake and when I sleep those are the times I spend with the Lord. And that's not the only time. Believe you and me throughout the day I am dealing there I I deal with all kinds of things but there's a lot of spiritual and physical things that we deal with every day. You have to pray every day and I'm an intercessory prayer warrior. I go in and I am praying. And so I don't just pray for the things I'm obligated to pray for that I've committed to with the Lord, but I also pray for things that the Lord brings in my way because I'm already happy and I'm hoping they would be happy too. I want people to experience the love of God. Because see, once you know the love of God, it changes your whole perspective of what the word of God is, how the Bible works, and it it helps you understand end time prophecy better because it just makes more sense. Because when you see his love move, now you know what God is going to do because he walks in his own love. Oh, hallelujah. and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. I prosper. I love this. That word prosper there means push forward or break out. So whatever you're you're going to break out of it. So if somebody's scoffing you and mocking you and you forgive them and you pray for them, whether in secret or just as a confrontation, whatever it is, you're breaking out of that. You're saying that is not going to bind me. I am not going to live in bondage to that. Oh hallelujah. That is what is so incredible when you can break out of that. You're happy because you're delighting in the word of God and you're putting him first because he's taught you that because of the transformation he has made in you. Your fruit is growing and it's multiplying and now you're also starting to walk with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is delighting in the law of the Lord. Verse four, the ungodly are not so, but are like the shaft which the wind driveth away. You know, when you um go to Israel or pretty much anywhere uh when they're harvesting the wheat and the tears, the one floats, that's the tears. The wheat goes down to the ground. So, they blow it up to the wind to separate the two. So, the ungodly are people who are morally wrong. They're going to with with the social lies and latest teaching, they're going to fall for it left and right. The latest things, what is a woman? Can't identify a woman. So now you ask, well, what is a woman? Something we all knew when we were toddlers. We were taught who's a girl, who's a boy, how we knew the difference. And yet today, I don't know what a woman is or I don't know what a man is. they have this. So, they go with the wind. They go with the latest doctrine, whatever it may be. That's morally wrong. And they're not going to be happy. They're not going to know who God is. They're suffering from that. But yet, all of us who choose to delight in the law, meditate in his presence, we begin to know who God is. And look at what Jeremiah 29:11 says. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, sayeth the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end. Love that expected end. That's a hope. You have a hope because he's hoping in you. He's trying to convince you. And see, the more time you spend with him, man, it's so motivating. It's uplifting. You just you can't help yourself. You've got to put God first. And you got to go get back go back to get more because you're thirsty and hungry. who want more of him and become you kind of become addicted to his word. You delight in it and it is so happy making. It is so peacemaking and you're prosperous at the same time. Look at what Psalm 35:27 says. Let them shout for joy and be glad that favor my righteous cause. Yeah. Let them say continually, let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. You see, God has pleasure in knowing that you're safe and at peace. That's his delight. His delight is in you when you have safety and peace. That is the God of whom we serve. And you get to learn that and know that because you're spending time with him. You make him a priority. Remember what Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness." You can't walk in the kingdom of God unless you're meditating on his word. You can't be righteous unless his righteousness is in you because you know you're forgiven and he has covered you. Then all these things will be added unto you. You have the right to be blessed. You have the right to be happy, safe, and at peace. That is what God wants for you. And don't let anyone ever tell you that. Now, some people think, "Well, in order for me to be happy, I have to have money." No, you don't. Now, I will tell you this much that God does give righteous people financial blessings, too. Don't tell them you can't have financial freedom. You You can God put you in ministry for that. Not everyone can have that, but some can. Because some people just give out money like it's nothing, like it's just candy, whereas some others will hoard it. There's a big difference in the heart of the two. Again, we're talking about being or delighting in the law of the Lord where we're happy. So, it isn't about the money. It's about him who provides peace and safety. And he makes certain that we're at peace and safety. Going back to chapter one in Psalm verse 5, therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment. Look at this. This is very interesting. Therefore, the ungodly who are morally wrong, these are the morally wrong people, shall not stand in the verdict. Let let me make something very clear about this scripture so that you have an understanding. There are two different judgments in the world. Uh the moment you die, you're judged. And this is where you're going to be judged where your name is written in the books lamb's book of life or not. If it isn't, you automatically are out of the presence of the Lord and you are in hell. But then everyone's going to be taken out of hell and they will be judged in the end. And all the righteous people who do not have to go through that judgment will be showing the interactions that we tried to get you saved. We tried to show you the word but you kept rejecting, rejecting, rejecting. That's going to be on you and then you're going to go back to hell after that. So there's that type of judgment. Then there's the type of judgment for the righteous where again if our name's written in the lamb's book of life, we're going to be there's a burning fire that goes around and whether wood, hay, stubble, all that will burn away. But what we have in gold or or precious metals will survive. Our crown of salvation will be there. Our crown of righteousness will be there. We will have those blessings and that's a different kind of judgment. So you cannot be judged or get to that point of judgment if you can't even pass the lamb's book of life by calling on the name of the Lord. So this is a time where we need to repent and say Lord save us. And then as for the rest of us who are delighting in the Lord we need to be interceding for those and saying Lord here I'm going hold their hand spiritually with mine and say Lord come into our hearts and be our Lord and Savior. You can intercede and intervene on their behalf in the spirit because whatever you loose in heaven is loosed on earth. Whatever you bind in heaven is bound on earth. We have that authority as co uh co-join hes with Christ. Amen. Hallelujah. Um nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. You see there's a big difference here. So therefore, the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. They don't want to congregate with you because you stand for God. They're going to mock you. Oh, you holier than thou person. Well, thank you very much. I take it as a compliment. They didn't mean it that way. But you see, when you're delighting in the Lord, you're happy and at peace. They cannot be and they cannot even stand to be in your presence because God is manifesting himself through you. Amen. Verse six, for the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. The Lord knoweth the He recognizes the way of the righteous. He recognizes who we are. He knows because if you know him, he knows you because you two are meditating together, delighting in his law. He is teaching you. He knows you and you know him. Question I have for you is, are you sure he knows you? Are you spending time with him? Are you delighted? Are you even happy? Can you even say that you're happy? It takes knowing the Lord and letting him manifest in you for that happiness. And then look what it says here. Uh but the way of the ungodly shall perish or loses oneself. This is why they can't identify who even they are. They don't know if they're a woman. They don't know if they're a man. They don't know because they're not delighting in the law of the Lord. So they are going, they are losing their selves. They're perishing. And it's because they're not delighting in the law of the Lord, letting him transform them and change them. Proverbs 16:27, "An ungodly man digth up evil evil or he plots evil and in his lips there's a burning fire." You see, an ungodly man is just thinking about ways of how to hurt you, how to hurt other people because he's hurt. He or she is hurting. They want to hurt you so that you are at their level because they don't want to strive to get to your level. But see, keep delighting in the law of the Lord. Keep meditating in his presence because that's where you're going to be happy. And that's where you can pray for them. This is a time to pray for your loved ones, family members that scoff and mock you because family members do that. Uh co-workers, they laugh at what you believe in. That's what their intent is is to bring you down to their level and then try to usurp themselves above you and but that's not the way of the Lord. The way of the Lord is when you delight in his word. Psalm 98 and he shall judge the world in righteousness. He shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. You see, God is already he's their judge. He's going to judge them. Not you and me. You and I are going to stand in the presence of the Lord and we're going to partner with him and maybe someday rule. That is scriptural. I know that the martyrs will at the end of Revelation there. But I know how much he loves us. He loves us so much that he wants to spend time with you. And when you spend time with him, you will be happy. You will have peace and you will be safe. You don't have to live in the drama of this world. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word, and we bless your word. Your word is worthy, faithful, true, and honorable. And it it makes me hunger and thirst more for you. It's very addicting, Father God. And I thank you for that. I rather walk in right standing with you and pray for others because you have love for them. and your love for me is so great that I just am so thankful for it. Thank you for your word. Thank you for your presence. And thank you for transforming me in as I spend time with you in the secret place. Thank you for that transformation because I'm letting your love manifest out of me. And I'm just praying that others will see that and will spend time with you and ask for that love to be in their heart as well. Thank you, Lord. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next teaching. Home Previous Next
- OPERATING IN THE MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
OPERATING IN THE MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand the motivational gifts as a divine calling empowered by love and the Holy Spirit. Through Scripture, this lesson will reveal how the gifts of the spirit flows from a pure heart, guided by the fruit of the Spirit, and distinguished from fleshly or self-driven knowledge. Believers will learn to discern between being inspired by the Spirit of God and that which is motivated by pride or worldly intellect, growing in wisdom to receive and share the Word of God in love. OPERATING IN THE MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT Minister Lisa Kane October 15, 2025 Objective: The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand the motivational gifts as a divine calling empowered by love and the Holy Spirit. Synopsis: This lesson examines the motivational gifts as described by the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:28-31. It emphasizes that these gifts must be rooted in love—the “more excellent way” introduced in 1 Corinthians 13—for without love, even knowledge becomes empty noise. Minister Lisa Kane guides believers to discern whether someone or something is led by the Holy Spirit or by the flesh, using 1 Timothy 1:3-7 and Galatians 5:22-25 to contrast being born of love or driven by arrogance or self-interest. By exploring Scriptures such as 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 and 2 Timothy 3:14-17, this message reveals that walking in the motivational gifts brings godly edification, produces spiritual fruit, and equips believers for every good work. Through the Spirit, these gifts illuminate the deep things of God, leading others beyond intellectual understanding into revelation knowledge. The lesson concludes by showing that when believers walk in the Spirit—manifesting love, joy, peace, patience, and gentleness—their presence becomes a vessel through which others are inspired to live, learn, and walk in the Spirit as well. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: 1 Corinthians 12:28-31 NKJV 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31 But earnestly desire the [i]best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way. Paul didn’t stop there. If you continue into 1 Corinthians 13, you will see what is needed to work in these motivational gifts. Remember, chapters and verses weren’t there when Paul originally wrote these epistles. 1 Corinthians 13:1-2 NKJV Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV 13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. If you are not operating in love, these gifts won’t manifest out of you or they may manifest into false doctrine. 1 Timothy 1:3-7 NKJV 3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may [a]charge some that they teach no other doctrine, 4 nor give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than godly edification which is in faith. 5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from [b]sincere faith, 6 from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk, 7 desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm. ‘Which causes disputes’: I know many of you know that there are many theologians out there that teach something and use that teaching to point out that someone is not teaching it correctly. That’s pretty arrogant of them, which isn’t love. It’s self-driven motivation. John 14:25-26 NKJV 25 “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. 26 But the [g]Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. How many theologians currently discuss end time prophecy or when the rapture will happen ‘pointing out’ that someone has it wrong? That’s not teaching through love or any of the fruit of the spirit. Let’s read and remind ourselves what that fruit is: Galatians 5:22-25 NKJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 [g]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. We need to manifest this fruit in order for people to see us walking in the spirit because you can’t see the spirit but you can see these fruit in action. This leads to the difference in teaching between the law / flesh or in the spirit. 1 Timothy 1:8-11 NKJV 8 But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, 9 knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is [c]contrary to sound doctrine, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust. Notice the difference. The law does not apply to someone who is righteous. A righteous person already knows what is right and has chosen to walk that way. Whereas, a person who hasn’t made that decision yet, will be contrary and not in the spirit. We the audience, need to hear the Word of God through the spirit and discern if the teacher is teaching through love or not. 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 NKJV 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the [d]Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ. Paul separates the two here in 1 Corinthians chapter 2. When we’re taught the Word of God through love, the holy spirit moves in our hearts and minds to understand the wisdom of God and not the wisdom of the world. Imagine if the doctor tells you there is something wrong with you. What do you do? It seems normal to ask the doctor questions, to obtain a second opinion, to take the medication they give you, but know this, that medicine will only take care of the symptoms not the root cause. But there is a choice here. You can choose to follow the doctors advice or you can go to God and tell Him that they’re telling you this false information but that you don’t accept it. You choose to walk in the spirit when you take this declaration before the Lord. How do you learn this? Through teachers teaching in love the Word of God so that you know the spirit of God. And you can measure this by identifying whether the teacher has the fruit of the spirit in him or her. 2 Timothy 3:14-17 NKJV 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. The teacher should be edifying and sharing the Word of God through love…so that you are inspired of God, profitable in biblical doctrine, not man’s doctrine, and walk in righteousness. This will make you complete. Since this is measurable, let’s look at what is not of the spirit so that we can make a distinct difference. Galatians 5:16-21 NKJV 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [d]adultery, [e]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [f]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. The main thing to notice about this list is that each of these are self-desired, driven. Now, we can see a distinct difference between walking in the soul, influenced by the flesh verses walking in the spirit. The soul is where we have our thoughts and feelings. It’s who we are, and we measure by what we allow ourselves to be influenced by. For example, our experiences as we grew influences. A person who grew up without a parent will have a different view of God then a person who grew up with both parents. Psalm 139:13-16 NKJV 13 For You formed my inward parts; You [f]covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for [g]I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My [h]frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. Here, we can see our soul created and that our flesh grows around that soul. God wrote a book about us before even our parents named us because He already saw the soul. As we grew, we allowed the flesh to influence our soul, desires. Our flesh told us when we’re hungry, when we need to sleep, when we go to the bathroom, etc. But the moment we confess Jesus as Lord, we become a believer and our spirit is born again. Romans 10:9 NKJV 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 1 John 1:9 NKJV 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 NKJV 11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. John 3:3-8 NKJV 3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born [a]again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” So, by walking in the spirit, we can teach, or use the motivational gifts to motivate and inspire those around us to walk in the spirit too. We can use these visual aids, the fruit of the spirit to see the spirit move in those we listen to and for ourselves to operate in the motivational gifts. Home Previous Next
- YOU ARE AN HEIR | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
YOU ARE AN HEIR The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand their divine identity and authority as heirs of God through Jesus Christ. By exploring the relationship between faith, confession, and action, this teaching aims to reveal how believers can move beyond mere belief into living as true sons and daughters who walk in their inheritance with confidence and purpose. YOU ARE AN HEIR Minister Lisa Kane October 8, 2025 Objective: The objective of this lesson is to help believers understand their divine identity and authority as heirs of God through Jesus Christ. By exploring the relationship between faith, confession, and action, this teaching aims to reveal how believers can move beyond mere belief into living as true sons and daughters who walk in their inheritance with confidence and purpose. Synopsis: In You Are an Heir, Minister Lisa Kane draws from Galatians 4:1-7 to unveil the transformation that occurs when a believer accepts Jesus Christ—not only receiving salvation but also stepping into full spiritual inheritance as a son or daughter of God. Through Scriptures such as Romans 10:9 and James 2:19-24, this teaching highlights that faith must go beyond acknowledgment; it must be expressed through confession and action. Believers are reminded that their words and walk demonstrate the intent of their faith and activate their authority in Christ. As heirs of the Most High, Christians are called to live above the influence of darkness, exercising their God-given power through faith-filled words, works, and steadfast trust in the Father. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Galatians 4:1-7 KJV Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father. 3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. The moment you ask Jesus to forgive you and you believe, you become an heir of God. Romans 10:9 KJV 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. That confession is what directs you to walk as an heir of God vs an unbeliever. You are immediately given authority in Christ because you believe. Believe is another way of having faith, but remember, devils believe too. James 2:19 KJV 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. That means we need to walk in ‘more’ than just belief. James 2:20-24 KJV 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. We need to work our faith. Going back to Romans 10:9, by ‘confessing with your mouth’, that’s another way to act on your faith. Speak the word of God over your situation. Confession of mouth, ‘out loud’ speaking, tells everything listening, our cloud of witnesses, the intent of your belief. The other part of faith, believing is to walk with intent upon your belief. For example, if the doctor gives you bad news, you can take that to the Lord and say, ‘Lord, I don’t accept this news. I choose to walk under your healing and not under the guidance of the doctors suggestion.’ That’s another way to walk in faith. These are steps that go beyond even what the devil believes. You can do this because you are an heir of the most high. You have authority under that title, which places you above the devil and demons. The question I have for you, will you walk as a Christian according to your title? Because if you do, you will walk in faith and see God move in your life. Home Previous Next
- WHEN SATAN PROVOKES | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
WHEN SATAN PROVOKES The purpose of this teaching is to help believers understand how to respond when Satan provokes them into sin, drawing from David’s example in 1 Chronicles 21. It emphasizes the importance of humility, repentance, and returning to God when tempted and deceived, while recognizing both the reality of consequences and the victory Christ has secured through the cross. WHEN SATAN PROVOKES Minister Lisa Kane October 6, 2024 Objective: The purpose of this teaching is to help believers understand how to respond when Satan provokes them into sin, drawing from David’s example in 1 Chronicles 21. It emphasizes the importance of humility, repentance, and returning to God when tempted and deceived, while recognizing both the reality of consequences and the victory Christ has secured through the cross. Synopsis: This message, When Satan Provokes, opens with 1 Chronicles 21:1, where Satan tempted David to take a census of Israel. Though the act itself seemed harmless, David’s decision revealed misplaced trust and led to devastating consequences for the nation. Joab warned against it, but obedience to the king outweighed discernment, resulting in God’s displeasure and the death of 70,000 men. Through this account, the teaching explains how Satan uses provocation to lure God’s people into disobedience, causing harm beyond the individual to entire communities. David’s response—humbling himself, donning sackcloth, confessing his sin, and offering himself in place of his people—foreshadowed Christ’s sacrifice, where the ultimate penalty of sin was placed upon Him. The message highlights that while sin carries consequences, repentance and humility before God restore fellowship and position us under His mercy. Believers today, equipped with the authority of Christ and the protection of salvation, can resist provocation and stand firm in the Spirit. Scriptures like Romans 7–8 and Psalm 23 affirm that there is no condemnation for those in Christ, and His rod and staff bring comfort and deliverance. Ultimately, the teaching calls believers to vigilance against Satan’s schemes, immediate repentance when they fall, and unwavering trust in Jesus’ finished work at the cross, which nullifies condemnation and secures eternal victory. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I am recording this message today on Sunday, October 6, 20124. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. We love your word. We honor your word and we pray that your word impacts our lives. And Lord, teach us how to come back before you and be humbled before you. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Welcome. Glad to have you here. This is a very interesting message. So we are going to be talking about when Satan provokes. When Satan provokes. Let's go to our opening scripture here in 1 Chronicles 21:1. And Satan, and that name is an opponent, adversary, or an arch enemy of good, stood up against Israel and provoked. He stimulated, pricricked, he seduced David to number Israel. Now, there's nothing wrong with the senses, okay? But notice that it was the devil here who was doing the provoking and he interested or got David to fall for his trick here. And I'm going explain the purpose of this teaching. So I want you to understand what we're going to what the end goal of this teaching is going to be. When Satan provokes us and he causes us to sin, what do we do about it? How can we undo it? The purpose of this teaching is to show you how to handle the situation no matter how bad the results are. Amen. So we have a situation here where Satan tells David to uh count do a census over Israel. And so David falls fall falls for he tells his kingdom all the people works for him. I want you to go count um the number of people. And this is how Joab responds in verse three. And Joab answered, "The Lord Jehovah make his people 100 times so many more because he keeps adding and augmenting to the nation of Israel as they be. But my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why then doth my lord require have you search out or strive after this thing? Why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel? Oh, this is very, very interesting. Joab recognizes that God doesn't need to know the number of how many people are in Israel because he's already got the number. He already knows it. So, this is a point where David is hearing from the devil and he's tempted. He's the one who wants to know what the count is, where the number of Israel is at this time. And this is the part that's causing some havoc. And Joab's recognizing this. He's like, "Hey, hey, you cannot do this. This isn't coming from the Lord." But King David is his king, right? So let's continue on and go to verses 5-7. And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. So he went and did it. He he was obedient. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and a 100,000 men that drew sword. And Judah was 400 three score and 10,000 men that drew sword. But Levi and Benjamin counted he not among them. For the king's word was abominable to Joab. And God was displeased with this thing. Therefore, he smoked Israel. So, the concept of this teaching here is to teach you what happens when um you are provoked by Satan. You're tempted by Satan. You fall for something that he's tempting you to do. You will know, by the way, what your sin is. So, here you're seeing that Israel is about to get smoked. God didn't like this and Joab knew better, but he he he held back. He still went and counted, but he held back because David is his king. So, he's being obedient, but at the same time torn. There are consequences to other people around here for the sin of what David just did. Let's continue on. Let's go to verse verses 11-4. So Gad came to David and said unto him, now Gad is the prophet at that time with David. And he says to him, "Thus say the Lord, choose thee, either three years famine, or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee, or else three days uh the or else three days the sword of the Lord, even the pestilence in the land, and the angel of the Lord destroying throughout all the coast of Israel." Now therefore advise thyself, what word shall I bring again to him that sent me? So God gives David three choices. H this is this is very very interesting. David falls for this seduction from Satan. He's provoked. So he sins. He sins as a king. He has a sin. And the sin that he's he did has a consequence. So God is saying, "Which one do you want me to do?" So here's David's response. He says, "And David said unto Gad, I am in a great straight." No kidding. He's feeling cramped, distressed. He says, "Let me fall now into the hand of the Lord." In other words, he's not going to choose any of them. He says, look at and look what he says. Let me fall now into the hand of the Lord, for very great are his mercies, but let me not fall into the hand of man. So now, now the three choices are kind of David's worst fears here. He's brought his kingdom of Israel. He's got it secure. They're stable. And now, you know, his choices were, you know, um have a pestilence come through or have a the enemy come in and take him. He's got he's in a world of hurt here. He's feeling it. This isn't comfortable for him and this is his sin. So, he's hoping, okay, I'm going to throw myself into God's hands and let God handle this. So, what did say 14 say? So, the Lord sent pestilence upon Israel and there fell of Israel 70,000 men. David just cost the lives of 70,000 men. And David is the heart of God, the apple of his eye. Can you believe that? How much more are we? So, David says something and I want you to see this because I I'm hoping that you can understand how we can get out of this situation because now there are consequences. 70,000 men died. Okay, let's look at what else happens here. So, uh verse 15, and God sent an angel into Jerusalem to destroy it. And as he was destroying, the Lord beheld and he repented. Simply what that word repented is he sighed. He let it go. He he he he's sorry. He's pitying the situation of the evil and said to the angel that destroy it is enough. Stay now thine hand. And the angel of the Lord stood by the threshing floor of Orin the Jebusite. Now, there's a lot to this teaching. So, I'm only covering right now the purpose of how to get out of the sin that you caused. Okay? We we're all tempted by the devil. We have all fallen for that temptation. And this is how we get back to the Lord. How we get ourselves right with the Lord. So, I'm showing you this because I want you to understand now there are consequences because as you saw, God said it's enough. He took 70,000 Israelites and he he said that that's going to pay this price here. So now David, watch this because he sends his angel of the Lord over to Orin and he's got him standing there visible to the naked eye, visible to the humans. Okay? And David lifted up his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between the earth and the heaven having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel who were clo clothed in sackcloth fell upon their faces. Okay, first thing David did is they put themselves in sackcloth. They got down on their hands and knees, put their face down on the floor. This is their form of repentance back in the day. So David, who has already put himself in God's hands, he's now there with his whole leadership team and they're all in sackcloth and they are bowing before the Lord. and he looks up and he sees this angel between heaven and earth and he sees it over Jerusalem and he's oh I mean watch what he says here in verse 17 and David said unto God it is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed but as for these sheep what have they done let thine hand I pray thee oh Lord my God be on me and my father's house, but not on thy people that they should be plagued. Little does David realize or even know what he is prophesying here. This is the golden nugget I want you to catch. David's like, "This was my sin, not theirs." And David's like, "Put it on me." Now remember though, God can't do that to David because David has a blessing in his life, promises to him. So even though David might have sinned, the the consequence of the sin comes off of David because of the promises over him. There are promises his lineage is going to bring the Messiah. And by the way, the sin will be poured out on the Messiah on the cross. So David is asking for that sin to be placed on him. It's going to be placed on his great great great great great however many greats there are Jesus the son of the living God. It's going to come through his lineage. So he is saying you know come on me do it on me. But here's the thing that I want you to see as someone who serves Christ and is Christlike. The consequence of your sin will not land on you. It lands on whether you are forgiven, whether you forgive, whether you have the mercy, whether you're humbling yourself before the Lord. Like David did here, there was still a consequence. 70,000 Israelites have died. Now, imagine yourself in a a situation where you committed a sin. Now, see, you have blessings as a believer in Christ. You have blessings. If you have the blessing of long life and if you're dwelling with the Lord, you have blessings of authority and power. You are the ones talking about you and me who dwell and share this type of teaching. We're the ones that have the authority that we can bring down kingdoms. Go read um I uh Psalm 149. We have this authority to do that. So now what happens is because we're given that authority and we know better. So when Satan comes in to uh provoke us, he attacks us. In this case, he he tempted David. David knew better. But what he was thinking was, "Oh, God knows the number. I I'll know the number." But remember the promise to Abraham, his nations that follow him will be like the sand. Counted like the sand. You can't count the sand. Can't count the stars. It'd be like the stars. So Satan was like, "Aren't you curious as to how much how big you are now? I bet you are." And they would sit there, I am curious. Let's go count thinking it's it's he justifies it in his mind. How many of us justify sin in our minds in our lives? Well, that's exactly what happened here. So, what when David realized what they had done because Gad the prophet's telling him he he's humbling himself before the Lord, but the Lord still took 70,000 men. There is a consequence. Remember the promise to Israel, too. I am a jealous God giving your sins to the third and fourth generation. He So, so here you are. So, your children and your children's children, your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren will be impacted by your sin just like your greatgrandparents have their consequence of sin on you to the fourth generation. So that means that has to break. You have to break the curses. So David's going to break this curse here. He's going to break it because he's like telling the Lord, I can't believe you just did what you did. Uh I don't know, you know, where do I go from here? I've already humbled myself. I'm giving myself into your hands. What do you want me to do? Because remember, this was attack on Israel from Satan. Now remember also Israel should not have had a king. They should have still just been one nation, but they had asked for a king. And uh um Samuel was all offended. God says, "Listen, they're they're rejecting me. They're not rejecting you." So God put gave them a king. Gave him King Saul who failed miserably. And now they're he's showing him King David. Even though David has a heart after him, he's showing he's still a sinner. Should have not chosen a king. Now that you chose a king, you had to oy that king. Now you have the consequences of what that king did. That sin is on you, which they gladly agreed to accept when they agreed to have Saul as their king. So now you see why this had to go on to the people besides the blessing on David who did follow God and had and was after God's heart. So you can see the dynamics playing here of what the Lord is dealing with. So how do you get out of the situation? Because you have your blessing on your life. But guess what? Satan provokes you from time to time. We all trip. We all fall. We have all fallen of the short fallen short of the glory of God. So it there's a time where we can come back and have restoration in our lives from that sin. The consequence still there. It the deed the blood has been made for that. So we still have the consequence of Jesus on the cross for our sins. He had to do that. So that still had to happen. The 70,000 still had to die. Understand that. Now look verse 18. Then the angel of the Lord commanded Gad to say to David that David should go up and set up an altar unto the Lord in the threshing floor of Orna in the Jebisite. And David went up at the saying of Gad which he spake in the name of the Lord. So now David is being obedient to the Lord. This is awesome. So David humbled himself. The blood price still had to be paid. So we can see Jesus coming to pay that price for our sins because that is the consequence of being provoked by Satan. Now the best way is just to tell Satan to get below your feet. That's how you deal with being provoked or tempted by Satan. And you have that authority. I don't think David did have that authority back in that day and he had to deal with the consequence. So those of us who end up falling for temptation and you do fall that consequence is there but it is forgiven but it had a price to pay Jesus on the cross. So every time as a believer in Christ you fall for that you're just piercing Jesus' heart deeper and deeper. This is why it is very important to recognize it upfront. The moment you repent, the moment you have the helmet of salvation on, the moment you have a knowledge up here with the helmet protecting you that keeps you from falling for the provocion of Satan. Let's go there. Let's go to Romans 7 24 and 25. Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Paul is recognizing, listen, I have sinned. In fact, he's the one who says, "I was the Pharisee of the Pharisee, but I went persecuting the church and I was killing them. I sinned." And he says, "Oh, wretched man that I am who shall deliver me from the body of this death." Then he goes, "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord." So then with the mind, remember the helmet of salvation I just referenced with the mind, intellect, thought, feeling, or the will. I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh, the law of sin. Now, when we're provoked, we are dealing with the law of God and the law of sin. And when we fall for the law of sin, we have to remember. So David had to create an altar on that threshing floor by orin there. And he had a he ended up buying that land to build that altar because it was made in remembrance of the event that took place and his prophetic word that the sin will be placed on his lineage on his family which it was and it was the sin of the entire world. Oh, I hope you're getting this. This is powerful. And then look at Romans 8 1 and 2. There is therefore now no condemnation. No more verdict to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit. So every time you're walking in the spirit, you've got your helmet on. You cannot be provoked anymore. You're in a different place. You're equal with Jesus. Yes. In Psalm 8, we're told that we're made a little lower than the angels. But when Jesus on his way up, he was ascending from the grave three days after and he stops to talk to Mary Magdalene and says, "Don't touch me. I haven't ascended yet. Says, I go to my father, your father, my God, your father, your God. He equalized us to him. So there's no more condemnation, no more verdict, and there's no way the devil can provoke us anymore. It's done. It is finished. Jesus finished it. Oh, hallelujah. Look at what else he says. He says, "And these are the ones who walk after the spirit, for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free, exempt from the law of sin and death." Now there's no more consequences. So the moment you do fall and sin and mess up, you say, "Jesus," and it stops. There's no more consequence to your nation, to your country, to your family, to your household. Your sin stops here and now. So now when things happen, you're dealing with God. You're not dealing with Satan anymore. He He's a tool that God uses, but other than that, you're dealing with God. And what did David do immediately when he realized he did wrong? He humbled himself before the Lord. The purpose of this teaching is to show you how to humble yourself. You're to go to God and ask for forgiveness immediately. Now, I want to show you the psalmist. I want to show you what the psalmist said about these situations because we do face situations. We face them. Look at what he says in Psalm 23:4 and 4-6. Yay, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. And that word comfort, by the way, is to sigh. That's the Holy Spirit. That's God bringing comfort. I forgive you. We're not going to let this thing go on anymore. We stop it here now. comforting you. He's telling you that all it is is thy rod, thy staff, they comfort me. Yeah, I'm going through a serious situation that is close to death. Yay, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. It's not evil now. It's God. And we don't have to fear God. God has life in the palm of his hands. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. Oh death, oh death, where is your sting? There is no more sting. Because the moment we're out of this body, we're in the presence of God. And that can't be any better than what we have now. Hallelujah. That is just so much better. That is better. That is multiplied better. And right now we have a duty. We're to be here. We have to We're called to pray, to intercede, to walk in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, to walk with the Lord. Let his rod and staff comfort you. Yeah, it's rough. You're close to the shadow of death here. You're close. You see a loved one close. It breaks your heart. But then you remember what Jesus did on the cross. And you're wow, Lord, you got me. You got me. You got me taken care of. Look at this. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies. Thou anointest my head with oil. My cup runth over. You know what that says? When you are at that table with the Lord and all the enemies are watching you, your eyes are on God and you're eating the fruit he brought on the table. You're talking to him. You're telling him, "Man, this one hurts. Lord, this one's hard." He's saying, "I've got you. I've got you. It is taken care of." And you say, "Thank you, Lord." And there is a peace. It's hard because our minds go places where we don't want them to go, especially when we have a loved one who is suffering. But then we go to the Lord and we give it to him and the enemies are watching and they see how you're reacting and this is your testimony. You're telling the world the devil don't have me. My eyes are on God. His rod, his staff, they comfort me. Look at verse six. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. In other words, no matter what happens, no matter what the consequences are, I'm going to come to the Lord, and I'm going to dwell with him because he's my comfort. He's the one in control. He's the one who created all of this. Even if I don't understand why a loved one is being attacked or even if there is sin that was a consequence and this is a provoked sin by Satan and he provoked the situation. He made it so bad. I can still go before the Lord, humble myself and say, "Lord, I'm going to dwell in your house forever no matter what." And that stops Satan in his tracks because we have the freedom, the equality with Jesus, our Messiah. Messiah who is life. He rose from the dead. Don't you think he's going to raise the rest of us? It takes faith to believe. But you got it. I know you do. If I can have the faith to believe, you can too. And it's been challenging. Yay. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. My God is comforting. He's with me. He's getting me back out of that sin. He's bringing me back away from it. He's nullifying the verdict against me. There is no more condemnation. I am free. free. Free. That's Jesus, our Messiah. And that's what he did on the cross. And that's where you and I get to come in today and share the gospel. Share the good news. Jesus, yes, he was born, but he died and he rose from the grave. And he came back. He came back with his body. He's got a body. He says, "Go ahead, put your hands, your fingers in the holes of my hands and feet. my side. And then he's asking for meat. You got something to eat? I'm hungry. That's Jesus our Lord. So if he can be like that, guess where we're going to end up? This is how we nullify being provoked by Satan. We humble ourselves before him. We call on his name. Thy rod, thy staff, they comfort me. He anoints our head. So our head is pro protected. We're not dwelling on that evil. We're not looking at the evil. We're looking in his eyes at the table that he set before our enemies because he wants to show us off. He wants to show off. Look at how much she loves in me. She is trusting in me. He is trusting in me no matter what. And the enemies that are watching and they're watching. We have a cloud of witnesses. There's demons. There's the devil himself. They're watching and they get mad. Yeah. That's the way this works, my friend. So come back from sin. Don't let it be prosperous. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. This is when you get to start quoting those scriptures. You get to put your eyes on God. You say, "I love you. I'm dwelling with you. I'm going to just be here with you. Share your word. I'mma open up your word. I'mma read it. I'm going to dwell in it. I'm gonna let it fill my heart." That's the God of whom we serve. And that's because of what Jesus did on the cross. He's the altar. We go back to the altar of the cross. So David not only humbled himself, spoke directly with God, asked for forgiveness. He got up. He built an altar to remember. So every time you have holy communion, you remember what Jesus did on the cross. He took the sin of the world and he bore it. He took it. He nullified it. And the verdict says we are not guilty. Yes. Oh, and this is the time when you have all hell breaking loose, you put your foot down on the devil's face and you smush it in and you say, "No more." You call on God and you say, "I worship you, Lord. I praise you. You make my cup runth over. You fulfill me. You anoint me. You call me to you and I come." That's how you deal with the devil. When he comes to provoke him, you kick him out. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. Oh Lord, let it enrich us and let us not ever forget your word. Let us not forget what you did on the cross. Let us humble ourselves and come before you. Let's call on you, worship you and keep our eyes focused on you because you are God. You are our creator. You are our savior. You are our redeemer. Thank you. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Home Previous Next
- THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED The objective of The Year of My Redeemed is to present a biblical understanding of the close relationship between God’s vengeance and redemption, as revealed in Scripture. Pastor Marrero seeks to show that Christ’s return will be both a day of judgment for the rebellious and a day of deliverance for the faithful. The book urges believers to examine their readiness for Christ’s return, to boldly profess their faith, and to live in joyful anticipation of redemption, rather than in fear of judgment. THE YEAR OF MY REDEEMED Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of The Year of My Redeemed is to present a biblical understanding of the close relationship between God’s vengeance and redemption, as revealed in Scripture. Synopsis: The Year of My Redeemed is a Scripture-based exploration of Isaiah 63:4, where the themes of vengeance and redemption converge. Pastor Marcos unpacks the dual nature of Christ’s return: for the oppressors and unbelievers, it is a day of dread and judgment; for the oppressed and redeemed, it is a day of joy and deliverance. Using supporting passages from Psalms, Isaiah, and the New Testament, he illustrates how God’s justice, grounded in truth and righteousness, brings both accountability and salvation. The work emphasizes that all humanity has fallen short of God’s glory, yet the Good News of salvation through Christ transforms the coming judgment into a moment of triumph for believers. Pastor Marcos provides a spiritual checklist to help readers evaluate their readiness: Are they openly professing faith in Christ? Do they acknowledge Him as Creator and Redeemer? Are they calling upon His holy name with boldness? He warns against timidity and compromise, reminding believers that salvation is found in no other name but Jesus. Ultimately, the message is both sobering and encouraging: this may indeed be the year of God’s redeemed. For those who love the Lord and hate evil, His return is a promise of deliverance. For those who resist His grace, it is the unveiling of divine vengeance. The book calls every reader to urgent decision—either to remain in rebellion or to embrace redemption, proclaiming with confidence, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” (Psalm 107:2) Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 63:4 “For the day of vengeance is in My heart, and the year of My redeemed has come.” Only in the Bible do we find this concept of vengeance and redemption so closely tied together, and to those who are worldly, this duality is very difficult to comprehend. While we, the children of faith, see Jesus and His soon return as our redemption drawing near, the world's concept of His return to the earth evokes fear and judgment, for they see Him as a vengeful God. To understand this duality, we need to understand the concept of justice. Psalm 96:13 “For He is coming, for He is coming to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with His truth.” If you read the entire chapter, you will notice that there is a lot of singing and blessings and praise and offerings and worship, offered to the Lord throughout the entire Psalm 96, before it reaches the last verse which we just quoted, in regards to the judgment of the world. If you have been victimized by someone, when the legal authorities show up to intervene, you are happy, for the authorities come to assist those who have been victimize and to arrest those who were doing the victimizing. However, if you are the law breaker and are the one who is victimizing others, when you see the police show up, you just want to get away as soon as possible, for if they arrest you, you will have to go before the magistrate that will sentence you with the punishment that your crime deserves. So it is that the return of our Lord will always be awaited and celebrated by those who are the oppressed, and it is dreaded by those who are the oppressors. Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” Simply put, the Lord will judge the peoples with His truth. But the truth is that we are all sinners, and we all fall short of the grace of God. Psalm 14:1 “The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none who does good.” So then why were all those folks in Psalm 96 rejoicing so much about the return of the Lord to judge all the peoples with His truth? Psalm 96:2 “Sing to the Lord, bless His name; proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Those who greatly rejoice about the return of our Lord to the earth, do so, because they have heard and accepted the good news of His salvation. For they know that when He returns, He is coming to deliver those who called upon His name and who have accepted God’s free offer of salvation. Psalm 97:10 “You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.” The good news is this: God loves us even though we fall short of His grace, He demonstrated His love for us by sending Jesus to die for all our sins. His unconditional love for us compels us to receive His offer of forgiveness and to love Him and trust Him in return. So that when we hear about His soon return, we dot not fret, but rather rejoice in the fact that He is coming to deliver us from this world of sin, and from the hand of the wicked one that continuously oppress us. But to those who have rejected His good news, and have chosen the pleasures of sin for a season, His return can only mean one thing, swift and complete judgment is at hand. Isaiah 63:3 “I have trodden the winepress alone, and from the peoples no one was with Me. For I have trodden them in My anger, and trampled them in My fury; their blood is sprinkled upon My garments, and I have stained all My robes.” The day of His vengeance and the year of His redeemed have to do with those who are His enemies and with those who are His saints. For He has caused His good news to travel all around the world, He has anointed His Word and revealed His love for us. Those who love Him and hate evil, He will come for and deliver them out of this world. Those who have resisted and rejected the anointed good news, will be judged as enemies who deserve to be destroyed. Isaiah 63:10 “But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.” This may very well be the year of His redeemed, are you ready? Here is a checklist of things that may help us identify whether we are ready for His return if it were to happen this year. Are you inwardly being restrained in your faith and the profession of it? Are you afraid or ashamed to openly declare your faith in Jesus? Matthew 10:32-33 “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” You be surprised to know how many people struggle with publicly professing their faith in Jesus, normally in the maturity process we eventually grow bold and overcome those fears. But if this is the year of His redeemed, you may not have that luxury. So, you better begin to make up your mind right now to declare His name openly and without fear. For as His return nears, we have no time for timidity, since we are commanded in: Psalm 96:2 “...Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.” Today, right now, would be a good time to start proclaiming His good news from day to day. Do you acknowledge Him as the Creator of heaven and earth? Do you acknowledge Him as your heavenly Father, and Jesus His only begotten Son as your redeemer? The world’s aim is to bring doubt into our hearts and minds. The so-called knowledge of the sciences is the vehicle that the devil uses to enter into our minds with his load of doubts. We need to know what the Word of God teaches about the sciences. Colossian 2:8-10 “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.” Science teaches about the things that exist from the point of view of man’s limited understanding. We on the other hand, know the Creator, we believe in the creative power of His uncompromising Word. Do you call on His holy name? Did you know that salvation cannot be attained under any name or anything that is named, except in the name of Jesus? Acts 4:12 “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” It is all about Jesus my friends, and if this turns out to be the year when He returns to redeem His saints, let us, we the saints, never cease to profess, to acknowledge, and to proclaim His wonderful name boldly! Psalm 107:2 “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” Previous Next Home
- VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE The objective of this teaching is to reveal the profound relationship between the visible physical world and the invisible spiritual realm, as outlined in Scripture. Pastor Marcos aims to help believers understand how spiritual realities govern the natural, how the Word of God is the sustaining force of all creation, and how through Christ, we have access to the authority, keys, and power to operate effectively in both realms. VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the profound relationship between the visible physical world and the invisible spiritual realm, as outlined in Scripture. Pastor Marcos aims to help believers understand how spiritual realities govern the natural, how the Word of God is the sustaining force of all creation, and how through Christ, we have access to the authority, keys, and power to operate effectively in both realms. Synopsis: In VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE, Pastor Marcos explores the truth of Colossians 1:16, emphasizing that all things—both seen and unseen—were created through Christ and for Christ. The lesson highlights that the invisible realm represents the spiritual dimension, composed of energy and eternal realities, while the visible realm reflects the temporary, three-dimensional physical world. Pastor Marcos explains that although unseen, the spiritual dimension constantly interacts with and influences the visible world. Drawing on biblical and scientific parallels, he shows how God’s Word is the life-giving energy that holds all things together. Through Christ, believers have been delivered from darkness and transferred into the kingdom of light, gaining authority to bind and loose in both realms (Matthew 16:19). The teaching underscores the significance of spiritual understanding: we are called not to focus on temporary, visible things, but on eternal, invisible truths (2 Corinthians 4:18). With the keys of the kingdom and the name of Jesus, believers can access the authority that transcends heaven, earth, and even the underworld. Ultimately, Pastor Marcos affirms that all creation finds its origin, purpose, and reconciliation in Christ, through whom God has released the sustaining energy of His Word to empower His people for victory. Inspired Teaching: Colossians 1:16 “For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.” Whenever the Bible talks about invisible things it is referring to the spiritual realm, in this case it is dealing with the interactions of the spiritual realm with the visible physical realm. Since the visible realm is three dimensional, when you associate it with the invisible spiritual dimension it becomes fourfold, that is why our text includes a fourfold reference to the creation: Thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. The epistle to the Colossians gives us tremendous insight into how the visible and invisible creation interacts and operates. Let us define first the difference between the physical and spiritual dimensions so that we can learn the mysteries of how the invisible world operates and learn how much it influences our physical world. Colossians 1:12 “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light (energy).” The spiritual or invisible realm is one that is made of energy, we cannot see energy that is why it is invisible to us. The creatures that live in the spiritual realm are made of energy that is why we cannot see them either. But the fact that we cannot see them does not mean that it does not exist and they are not actively interacting with the visible realm. As a matter of fact, at the core of all physical tangible matter there is an invisible quantum reality that science is still trying to explain. From the Bible we know that the spiritual realm is an eternal one, and so science has discovered that the sub-atomic particles that give form to all physical matter transcend time and space, that is they can be in two separate places at the same time. 2 Corinthians 4:18 “While we do not look (put our focus on) at the things which are seen (visible), but at the things which are not seen (invisible). For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Now when Paul says that we have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light, what he is telling us is that we have been given power to manipulate that invisible energy, which is radically awesome if we can just barely grasp its implications. Colossians 1:9 “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” Paul is so excited about the faith of the Colossians in the Gospel of truth that was preached to them, that he is telling them that he cannot wait to see them come into the revelation knowledge of what just happened to them, through the agency of spiritual understanding. Just as he was telling the Corinthians not to put their focus on the mundane visible things, but to put their hope on the eternal invisible things that are not of this world. Can we get just as excited as Paul was about the reality that we too have received the Gospel of truth, and that we also have been qualified to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light? We should! Colossians 1:13 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed (transferred) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love.” This three-dimensional world has been plunged into spiritual darkness by the devil and all his minions, Jesus has delivered us from the darkness of this physical world and has placed us in the high, and out of this world kingdom of the Son of His love. John 8:23 “...You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.” What does it all mean to us, what are the advantages of being able to operate in the kingdom of the light? Matthew 16:19 “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven (spiritual invisible realm), and whatever you bind on earth (physical visible realm) will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” A key is used to unlock things that we previously had no access to, a key can also be used to lock things up that we do not want anybody to steal from us, why would Jesus give us the key if we did not have with it the access to the lock as well? Now as we look at this verse of Scripture from the scientific point of view, and know that all physical things are held together by this invisible force that holds the atomic particles together that form all that is tangible, then we can extrapolate that we have been given the power to loose that which is bound, and to bound that which is loose, whether in the invisible fourth dimension called heaven, or the physical three dimension we call earth. Colossians 1:10 “That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” Obviously, we need to know and we need to understand how it all works, that is if we want to put it to good use, for we can also read in the text of what Jesus told us, as binding on earth that which has already been bound in heaven, and loosing on earth that which has already been loosed in heaven, so that spiritual understanding is critical. All things were created through Him and for Him. Our opening text. Rule number one, follow The Word! John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” Now if we want to fully understand the meaning of how The Word created everything we need to know what The Word of God is. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living (life giving) and powerful (energy)…” The Word of God is life giving, life sustaining energy. When God said, Let there be light, He released all the energy that exists in the universe today, and it was out of that energy that all physical tangible matter was formed, including intelligent human life. John 1:4 “In Him (The Word) was life, and the life was the light of (the energy that created) man.” So that all things were created and are sustained by The Word of God including intelligent human life. At the very core of our physical being we are held together by the energy that is in The Word of God. So that whatever is loosed on the earth that the Word of God tells us should be bound, we have power in the name of Jesus, The Word of God, to bind it and vice versa. John 16:24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” We have access into the invisible spiritual realm in the name of Jesus. Philippians 2:9-10 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” Paul takes it one notch higher and tells us that in the name of Jesus we not only have the power to bind and to loose the very cords that hold everything together in the visible and invisible realms, but also over those under the earth, where the seat of demonic power resides in the belly of the underworld. That means that in the name of Jesus we have power over life and over death, as long as we follow the precepts laid out for us in His Word, to bring forth God’s reconciliation into this physical world. Colossians 1:19-20 “For it pleased the Father that in Him (Jesus) all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Previous Next Home
