It emphasizes Jesus Christ as the Living Word and Light of the world, showing how God has always communicated through the spoken and written word, recording covenants, genealogies, laws, and individual lives. The teaching calls listeners to examine their salvation, repent, and ensure their names are written in the Book of Life through faith in Jesus Christ. < Back IS YOUR NAME WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF THE LIVING Minister Lisa Kane October 2, 2022 Objective: The objective of this message is to help believers understand the significance of the Book of the Living (Book of Life) as revealed throughout Scripture. Synopsis: Lisa Kane begins with John 1:1–5, showing Jesus as the Word and the Light that overcomes darkness, and ties this to Genesis 1:1–5, where God spoke light into existence. She highlights Jesus as the physical embodiment of the Word—spoken, written, and living—through whom creation, redemption, and revelation flow. The message then journeys through biblical references to many “books” mentioned in Scripture: the Book of Generations, Book of the Covenant, Book of the Law, Book of Jasher, Book of the Acts of Solomon, Chronicles of the Kings, and others. These writings reveal how God ensured His covenants and commands would be preserved for future generations, combining the power of both the spoken and written word. Building on this, Lisa explains that God also keeps personal records: a book written about each person (Psalm 56:8; Psalm 139:16). Every life, every choice, and every moment is documented by God. Most importantly, she stresses the eternal significance of the Book of the Living (Book of Life) (Psalm 69:28; Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5; Revelation 20:15). Those whose names are written remain in fellowship with Christ, while those not found are condemned. The message challenges listeners to repentance and faith in Jesus, reminding them that God records not only their sins but also their salvation when they confess Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9). Through Christ’s blood, believers’ names are permanently secured in the Book of Life, and they are called to walk as His representatives—lights in a dark world. The teaching concludes with an urgent call: Is your name found in the Book of the Living? Through repentance, obedience, and faith in Jesus Christ, every believer can be confident of their salvation and live as a testimony of God’s light and truth. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022. And this message is called Is Your Name Found in the Book of the Living? Amen. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this message and we thank you for your blessing and anointing on it. We thank you for teaching us who your son is, our foundation, our strength, the living word of God. And we thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing and all the things that you're teaching us. We receive, we believe, we apply, and we're walking in your word. Thank you, Father God, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. John 1, we're going to read verses 1-5. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. And the word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him and without him nothing was made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it. King James version says did not overtake it. So um in other words the light is stronger than the dark. The light penetrates and the darkness cannot defeat it in any way, shape or form. Amen. So notice it talked about going back to the beginning. Let's go look at those scriptures in the beginning because I think there's a correlation here. Let's see what we're talking about here. Genesis 1 1-5. Oh, look at that. We just read John 1 1-5. Now we're going to read Genesis 1 1-5. Look at the similarities here. This is incredible. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, "Let there be light." And there was light. And God saw the light that it was good. And God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness he called night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. Okay. So now you see kind of a a similarity and a reversal because in the beginning there was darkness and God created light. And then you can see in John he's saying the word was with God. The moment that God said let there be light that was a spoken word. Now who claims to be the light? Because now once we see and understand this we're going to enter uh find something very interesting here. We're going to see the son of God become real. Watch this. Jesus in John 8:12 says, "And Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." Okay. So, we know that the light was spoken. So Jesus is out of God and he is the son of God. God calls him his only begotten son and he is the word, the word, the spoken word, the numa, the power, the authority. Hallelujah. He is the light. Now, what's so interesting about this is that throughout history, because the physical embodiment of the word of God did not take place till Jesus was born, books were written. Lots of books were written. Some were lost. Some were found again. And those books pointed to Jesus. and not only pointed to him as the light but as the son of God, our redeemer. Because you see in Genesis in the beginning, God already knew that the fall of man was going to happen and that was going to be well could have been it. But he sent his son and in fact he sent his son before he created us. Hallelujah. Because he said, "Let there be light." Let the sun come. Not the sun, su n, but the s o n. Let there be light. Let there be Jesus. Let's go back to that. I want you to see something here. Going back to John 1-5. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God. So God put himself into a word. Now there's something very interesting here. I want you to catch this. He put himself into the word. So when Jesus was born and Jesus started walking on the face of this earth, Jesus was the embodiment of his spoken word. It's the flesh incarnate but as God. He walked the word. He was the word walking which which is why he healed so many people because he's the numa the power the word that said let there be light. He is that portion. So, what I want to do is I want to take you onto a journey here and and show you how the written word works. How the spoken word works. Okay? Because Jesus became the embodiment of it. He was the physical living word walking the earth. So, but before he became that physical word, he was a spoken word and God used speak and he used written which is all part of the language to communicate to us. So the reason I'm addressing the idea of being in a book format or let's say a video 3D video or let's say a written format or and again the spoken word these are things that God measures us by and Jesus is the first example to set that in motion as the numa because because he is the light everything he touched and did it was power and we're to be like him. God made us in his image and as his image, we're his representative. Are you seeing something that we're going to be going through? Okay. But anyways, I want to show you how powerful the written word is when it is touched by God, covered by God, and known by God. So, we're going to talk about some books. Yes. some written books. I'm going to take you through the journey of the Bible that talks about all the different books. It's well worth this going through this list. So, this is definitely a different kind of teaching, but I want you to see how true the embodiment of Jesus as the living word of God, the the Bible, the written word. He is the living. He became the the persona of that. So let's start with our first um word that was brought to our attention. So in uh in Genesis 5:1 there is a thing that's called the book of the generations of Adam. This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man he made him in the likeness of God. Now remember Moses wrote Genesis. He started writing a book about the gen genealogies under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit or of God the light. Amen. Look at this. Now there is called the book of the covenant. Then he took the book of the covenant read it in the hearing of the people and they said all that the Lord has said we will do and be obedient. E Exodus 247. So, as you can see what God did here with Moses, who wrote the first five books of the Bible, he wrote a genealogy and and I'm sure they were all separate scrolls. They were put together later on. Okay? So, I want you to see how this is dealt with and they're written at different times. Now, in this case, Moses wrote those first five books. He wrote the covenant down. There is a covenant between the nation of Israel and God. And you can see the people agreed to do it all. So it was written down by Moses, but it was spoken to the people and they acknowledged. So now you see how the written portion worked and the spoken portion worked and how the two came together. Now why did it have to be written? Because there going to be generations of people coming and they were not there at the assembly when it was spoken. So they got to read it to be a part of that covenant and grasp onto it and then acknowledge it. Okay? So it's a continuation on because we don't live forever. Everybody has to die at least once. So let's continue on with more books. Look at how this goes on even further. There is a thing called the book of the wars of the Lord. Interesting. This is in Numbers 21:14, the first part of the verse, verse uh A. Therefore, it is said in the book of the wars of the Lord. Now, if you're curious about what that book entails, go read the story associated with those scriptures. I have a lot of content here. I can't go off into the rabbit trails and and go into all the stories there, but I want you to realize there's a whole lot of books here. So, wars of the Lord. Interesting, isn't it? Look at this. Now, we have what's called the book of the law. If you obey the voice of the Lord your God to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul. Deuteronomy 30:10. Now the book of the law is encompassed with the book of the covenant. And again, Moses wrote all of that. This is Deuteronomy and they're talking about the blessings and the cursings there. And remember what I talked about in our last message that I taught that we are the image of God. We represent him and as such you have the authority to make peace or calamity because you are a representation of God and that is what God does as he said in Isaiah 45:7 to King Cyrus 400 years in advance. Isn't that awesome? So let's continue on and look at all these other books that the Bible is referring to. But keep in mind what these are doing. God made a covenant with the nation of Israel. He made a law. Okay, so I'm going to pause here for a moment and tell you why he did what he did. Remember, we're in his image and we represent God. And as that representation, the nation of Israel represented to the world the law. And the law said, "You're a sinner." And so all the people of the world who looked at the nation of Israel in those days saw that they were sinners and as a result they knew they were in the wrong and they had to go to God to find how to get saved. The nation of Israel was the ones pointing this out. Okay. So now as you know nation of Israel had many kings, many generations that followed and as a result the book of the law, the book of the covenant that all encompassed together with the nation of Israel was a written statement of something spoken to the first generation in relation to all of that. What Moses had to do was take the people out of Egypt. that first generation and on were the ones who received this covenant and they said they agreed that let's do this. So now the following generations had to do it. So you had to have this written word. So this is what's taking place here as we look at these books. Now let's continue on. There's another book here called the book of Jasher. So the sun stood still and the moon stopped till the people had revenge upon their enemies. Is this not written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. Joshua 10:13. Again, I encourage you to get in there and read what that event was about because that is a powerful event that took place. Joshua is now the leader of the nation of Israel and he is uh taking the nation of Israel into the promised land. Okay. So, this is what he had to do. And he's having to attack all the people, the inhabitants of the lands at that time and kick them out because that land was promised to the nation of Israel by God to Abraham as a covenant. Remember, we've got covenants that took place. So, here's where things get very interesting. The book of Jasher, that book exists today. and it is not part of the canon that the the whole encompass of what the Bible is today. So, you know, I don't know what went into that committee that put the canon together. You can look that up and research that. What I'm going to say is that the Bible of itself is for your spiritual growth. any extra books that the Bible points to because the Bible is pointing to the book of Jasher has additional information that you can use for historical purposes. One of the things that I find interesting about the book of the of Jasher is Abraham, his youth, how he finds God and how he acknowledges that's not written in in uh gener Genesis. So, you might want to go back and look at the book of Jasher and check it out because he does talk about that those kind of things. And of course, there's a whole lot more in the book of Jasher. So, by all means, get in there and check it out. And so, let's continue on uh with some more books because what you know, I want you to see the power of the written word from a spoken word. I want you to see the history of how this is happening. So, and there are more books. By the way, I'm not going to go through all of them. There are so many I can't cover them all. Please do your homework. Get in there and check it out. It's awesome. Okay, we have the book of the acts of Solomon. Now, the rest of the Acts of Solomon, all that he did and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon? And this is in first kings 11:41. Now, what we have in the Bible is the Song of Solomon. That is not the acts of Solomon. So, this book is different. It is separated. So it and it could be referring to the proverbs. So they call it proverbs but it could be the acts of I don't know but the bible is referring to it. This book exists. And look at this one. The book of the chronicles. Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam. How he made war and how he reigned. Indeed they're written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel. First kings 14:19. Kings and Chronicles tell the same thing, but from two different perspectives. You've got the Kings, which tells you from the human physical world what physically happened. It's a documentary of what the Kings did. Chronicles takes it one step further and God shows you the behind the scenes and says, "This is what was going on spiritually." So, you might want to get in there and read the two and compare them side by side because I think you're going to find there was so much more going on. And again, with that spiritual stuff going on, that written word, the com covenant and the law and all how all the kings were dealing with it plays a huge role in their witness and testimony to the world that God held them responsible for. Let's continue on because there's so much more here. Watch this. There is the book of the kings of Israel and Judah which I just referred to a bit ago. So all Israel was recorded by genealogies and indeed they were inscribed in the book of the kings of Israel but Judah was carried away captive to Babylon because of their unfaithfulness. 1 Chronicles 9:1. Okay. So you saw kings referring to Chronicles. Now Chronicles is referring to Kings. So the two go hand in hand but one is written of the the uh perspective of man and the other is written by the perspective of God. Amen. Now we have what's called the book of Samuel the seer. Now the acts of King David first and last indeed they are written in the book of Samuel the seer and the book of Nathan the prophet and in the book of Gad the seer 1st Chronicles 29:29. You see how many books were written? Those books are not in the Bible. Samuel is, but Gad, let's see, it was Nathan and Gad. They're not in there. Where are those books? But it talks about King David and all his acts. And Samuel already covered it. So, I suppose I just did not need to be there. So, but you see how it was documented, written, and everything. Now, look, we're going to see here in the book of Nathan the prophet. Uh now the re this is now going into Solomon's reign. It says now the rest of the acts of Solomon first and last are they not written in the book of Nathan the prophet. Look at this. In the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in the visions of Edo the seer concerning Jeroboam the son of Nibbat. 2 Chronicles 9:29. Look at these other books. They're not in the Bible, but they exist or they have existed and they were written and they could be with all of wherever uh the temple uh stuff is if it survived the length of time. And then we have the book of Shemiah the prophet, the acts of Rayoboam, first and last. Are they not written in the book of Shmiah the prophet and of Edo the Seir concerning genealogies? And there were wars between Rayoboam and Jeroboam all their days. 2 Chronicles 12:15. So now you're starting to see a little bit more of what's going on. They they've been documenting history. You see that they're fighting internally now. Uh you had King David, you had Solomon, and now the split of Raoboam and Jeroboam. And the nation of Israel splits. And you've got the nation of Israel and you have Judah. So this is and it's going to be like this. Remember though, they are supposed to be in the image of God and they're supposed to be following the covenant of their predecessors. Watch what happens. This is fascinating, you guys. This is really fascinating. There's the book of Joo, son of Hanani. Now, the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, f first and last. Indeed, they are written in the book of Jahu, the son of Hanani, which is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel. 2 Chronicles 20:34. Look at this. There's what's called the book of Moses. And they removed the burnt offerings that they might give them to the divisions of the father's house of the lay people to offer to the Lord as it is written in the book of Moses. And so they did with the cattle. 2 Chronicles 35:12. The book of Moses might be a different book altogether than any part of the first five books of the Bible. It could be reporting uh uh pointing to a section that was consolidated in the first five books of the Bible. It is very difficult to tell as to what that is cuz so many generations have passed now and people call books differently different names and refer to them differently in their generation than what was pre previously there. So hard to tell but you see that there's another book. It has to be written so the next generation can get it. But they got to read it. Watch. Let's go on. Let's continue on. Here we have the book of the records of your fathers. Remember what I just said. Talk about a new name. But this is a new name. But this is referring to the five first five books of the Bible and the Kings and Chronicles. Look at this. says that search may be made in the book of the records of your fathers and you will find in the book of the records and know that this city is a rebellious city harmful to kings and provinces and that they have incited edition within the city and former times for which cause this city was destroyed. Ezra 4:15 you I want you to see something here. Look at what it says. Catch this. And you will find in the book of records and know that the city is a rebellious city. They had to go look to see what happened in history. Do you see how they did not know? Anyways, let's continue on because I got two powerful things here next that is just it is going to change you on the inside, especially if you love God with all your heart. Look at this. There's a thing called your book and we're going to look at Psalm 56:8. You number my wanderings, put tears into your bottle. Are they not in your book? And then there's this other verse in Psalm 139:16. Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed. And in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. God has a book about you. He is writing down everything about you and what you do. Now, he when you were born, he writes down the moment actually before you were born and you were fertilized or conceived, God knew your name, knew what you were going to look like, and he wrote it down. He has this book and he wrote it down. And in that book that he wrote it down, he has been writing down things about you and what you did. And I bet you he even wrote down what he foraw or foresees of your future. And but he wrote down what you ended up having done instead of what he had planned for you. Everything is written in there. So, I'm hoping that if you are listening to this or catch on that you repent and then God says, "Okay, he repented. Here we go. We're going to continue on. Watch the change in his life." Amen. Hallelujah. So, God has this book and it has your name on it. He has a book of Lisa. Oh my word. I It's not a book I want to read. But anyways, God is so mindful of us. He loves us that much. Hey, I bet he because he tells you how he says he knows how much hair you have on your body at any given moment. He might write that down. I don't have a copy of the book in front of me, but God does. And he's sitting there writing it. I can see him even writing that. Oh, hey, Lisa's teaching me teaching the people about the books. Let that touch you. Let that minister to you. Amen. Continuing on, we've got what's called the book of the living or the book of life. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, not be written with the righteous. That's in Psalm 69:28. And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the book of life. Philippians 4:3. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the book of life, but I will confess his name before my father and before his angels. Revelation 3:5. Let's continue on because there's more references to the book of the living. All who dwell on the earth will worship him whose names have not been written in the book of the of life of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was open, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works by the things which were written in the books. Revelation 10:12. And anyone not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire? Revelation 20:15. The title of this message is, "Is your name found in the written in the living, the book of the living?" Well, I hope it is. Anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Joel 21:13, Romans 10:13, make sure that you call on the name of the Lord and get saved. Amen. So, and you notice that referred to a whole lot of other different books. Now, let's continue on here. We've got the book of the generations of Jesus Christ. And here in Matthew 1:1, the book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham, and it lists all the genealogies. Again, how did Matthew know? He also went back and looked at the previous books. So now I want you to see something because you should have a particular reaction to this, especially to the book of the living part and to the fact that God has a book written about you that's going to be opened up on the day of judgment. I want you to see what happened when some of these books were lost and how a particular king reacted to it. This is so powerful. Look at this. Second Kings 22, we're going to read verse 8 and 11. Then Hilkaya the high priest said to Chaffon the scribe, "I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord." And Hilkaya gave the book to Chiffon and he read it. And then in verse 11, and again, you know, you go and read the stuff in between. Find out what it says. Go find out how it got to the king now because we're talking the priest's duty. The the handler found this book and he's reading it and he's like, "Hey, you got to go read this thing. This is interesting stuff." Now, he's going to read it to the king. Watch what happens when he he gives it to the king. He says, "Now, this is verse 11. Now it happened when the king heard the words of the book of the law that he tore his clothes. He rent his heart. He repented. Hallelujah. So the book of the covenant, the book of the law that told us what we were sinners fallen. This is why we had to know about the book of Genesis. This is why we had to know about the fall of man. It told us what happened, why we're born into a spiritual war. why we're here today having to deal with why do bad things happen. You know, this is why all these books had to be written because we're a new generation. And when we come into the picture, we have to pick it up and read what happened in the past and either accept it or deny it, reject it. I encourage you to accept it because the the power of the word of God, Jesus being the embodiment of the the spoken word of let there be light and he is the light and as that power Numa and that he walked around. I mean even when he came out of the grave uh it was written uh from the um historian of the time and I can't think of his name for the life of me at the moment but they wrote about how many other people came out of the graves. It's also the end I think at the end of book of Matthew and all these other graves open and imagine that's how powerful this word is. light came into existence as soon as God said it. He's got to be careful with what he says, right? He has to make sure that he says proper things. Otherwise, he could end things and just like that. But he spoke that he said that he came out of the grave. That power just brought all these people up out of the grave at the same time Jesus came out. So when Jesus was revealing himself, Aunt Martha came over and and walked up to the household there and said, "Hey guys, I'm back. I gotta tell you about Jesus and where I was." And there goes that spoken word again. And then it got documented. And because it got documented, we can read it today and go and receive like the king did and repented. remember and and because of these old books. We're made in his image. We would never understand that or know that because you God is spirit. We can't see him. I must resemble him. I must look something like him. You resemble him. You look like him. But we're representations of him. We represent him. And as we would never known had we not heard that word now. So, we know that the nation of Israel had a responsibility to the world and that covenant took place. It was written and then it was spoken. Look at what it says because you need to know it because now we're you got to see the conclusion of what happened with the nation of Israel. You see, what happened is Israel rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah and the Messiah was cut off. That's scripture. He went on, but he's coming back as king. So he he completed his priestly duties. He needed to do his priestly part. He did that. He completed. He got cut off. So God says, "You rejected me. I'm going to go to the Gentiles and I'm going to create a bride of Christ." And that is us today still relying on the covenant and the promises made to the nation of Israel who represented God during that time and wrote it down so that we can speak it again because it was already spoken and apply it to our lives today because we are in his image. We represent him. If he can create peace and he can create calamity, we have the responsibility to create peace and to create calamities. Amen. So watch this. Look at what Deuteronomy says here. Uh Deuteronomy 28 1-3. Now it shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God to observe carefully all his commandments which I command you today that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country. And there are many more blessings there. Get into the word. Find out what it means. find out because it is your responsibility to look at the old word and see how it was spoken, how it was agreed to, and then it was written so that you can read it, speak it, and apply it and live it today. Hallelujah. But there's another part to that. Look at the other part. Says Deuteronomy 28:15-16. But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all his commandments and his statutes, which I command you today, that all these curses will be upon you and overtake you. Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country. Why do bad things happen right there? You're cursed. And it's because you're just not following the commandments of God. You're not repenting. Jesus is the light, the embodiment of the word of God. And that covenant went into place and we get to live that covenant if we choose to do so. It's your responsibility to choose. So is your name written in the book of the living or is it blotted out? You know, once again, Jesus write or God writes about you. He's got your name written there. But as long as you don't repent and you do not follow his commandments, it gets blotted out. But once you repent, you're saved. And it's written in blood. Because Jesus gave his blood as the light. He gave his blood to say, I know you are going to be there for me. I know you're going to call on my name. I'm going to save you and you're going to be saved. In fact, Jesus is there fighting for you, praying for you, lifting you up before God. And God is writing in his book going, "I know Lisa's got it. I know so and so's got it. He knows, talk to him. Put the covenant into practice. Speak it. Say, "Yeah, Lord, I'm going to do this. I'm going to follow your commandments. I'm going to love you. I'm going to lift you up. Why? Not just because I can get the blessing, but because you're God. You're my maker. I'm the make. I was made. I'm the created, but I'm in your image. And I thank you for adopting me and bringing me into who you are. Because let's remember what's going to happen here. He still has to finish dealing with the nation of Israel. That's what the whole sevenyear tribulation is about. If you read the book of Revelation, Daniel. So, he still has to deal with him, which means we have to as Gentiles be our representative to the world right now because that is our calling. And that means we also have to stand up as Christ represent to the world and get ready because Harpato is going to happen here once he seals 144,000 because the 144,000 will become the new representation to the world for God, their image. They're made in his image and we will be taken out in the nick of time. Amen. So let's continue and look at here what it says here. John, I want to say it again. This I can't stress this. Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life." John 8:12. In other words, because you accept Jesus, you make that covenant with him. You repent. It gets spoken. It gets written in God's book. You become a light. The light comes on and now you represent the world. And every emotion, everything that you deal with, everything that goes on in your life becomes a a written testimony to the world in God's book. And in fact, you're probably going to be judging people. The millennial reign when that happens, you know, the martyrs and those harpazzo, they're going to be judging. That is, you know, you're in preparation today for that coming up. So you need to be ready because and God is writing it down. So if he's writing it down, he knows maybe you might want to be a little clean. Might want to fix yourself up a bit. Oh, God's looking at me. Oh, God's thinking. Oh, he's writing down. It just it's a great motivator. It helps you stand, but at the same time, you can say, "Thank you, God. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for being there. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for making me the light and being a part of Jesus and being a part of the bride because remember he chose the nation of Israel. I'm not Israeli but I am now because I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I'm adopted into the family. So can you. And let's continue on here. John 3:21. But he who does the truth comes to the light that his deeds may be clearly seen and that they have but been done in God. So as you do your good deeds in the light, God sees, he records and documents in his book of you. And as you go on further walking with the Lord, those things get documented. He's And you know what it why do you write a book? Does he go back and read? Does he see the changes in you? Does he acknowledge that? Yeah, that's God. Oh my word. He's absolutely incredible and amazing. And you know what, guys? You need to repent. This is remember now we've been talking about the whole word spoken, written. Now look, look, look, look what it says. Romans 10:9, that if you confess with your mouth, how could Paul say it any other way? It was perfectly said that with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Hallelujah. And your name will not be blotted out of the book of the living. You were already known by God at the moment of conception or the moment of fertilization. He knew you and he started writing his book about you. You are made in his image. You are a representative of him. You can choose to walk in righteousness and be blessed or to choose to walk in darkness and be cursed. If your life is full of drama and calamities, you might want to reconsider because I'm gonn Previous Next Home

THE BEWITCHING HOUR The objective of The Bewitching Hour is to expose the dangers of spiritual deception, or “bewitchment,” and to remind believers that the only safeguard against falling into error is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Marcos seeks to encourage Christians to remain grounded in the truth of the Gospel of grace through faith in Jesus Christ rather than drifting into legalism or works-based righteousness. THE BEWITCHING HOUR Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of The Bewitching Hour is to expose the dangers of spiritual deception, or “bewitchment,” and to remind believers that the only safeguard against falling into error is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Marcos seeks to encourage Christians to remain grounded in the truth of the Gospel of grace through faith in Jesus Christ rather than drifting into legalism or works-based righteousness. Synopsis: In The Bewitching Hour, Pastor Marcos draws from Paul’s warning to the Galatians—“Who has bewitched you?”—to highlight how easily a Spirit-filled church can fall into deception without even realizing it. He explains that deception, like hypnosis, blinds believers to their own folly and causes them to squander the spiritual anointing given by God for discernment. Pastor Marcos shows how the Galatians, once alive in the Spirit through faith in Christ, were led astray by false teachers who insisted on legalism and adherence to the Law of Moses. This shift from grace to works caused them to lose the anointing that empowered them. He makes clear that the law, while perfect, was never designed to save—it only exposes sin. True righteousness can never be attained by human effort, but only by faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross. The message warns that the door to a bewitching spirit opens whenever believers or congregations compromise the truth of God’s Word. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that although obedience to God’s commands is important, salvation is never earned by keeping the law but is received as the free gift of grace through faith. Ultimately, the antidote to deception is the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit and the anointing He supplies, which reveals truth and keeps believers free from the curse of legalism. The message closes with the reminder from Ephesians 2:8-9 that salvation is by grace alone, through faith, and not of works, lest anyone should boast. Inspired Teaching: Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified.” Deception has to be the worse pit of all to fall in for those of us who are alive. Think of it, if we are being deceived we wouldn’t know it, for if we did, it would not be called deception. Here Paul uses the word bewitched to inform the Galatians that they have been deceived and that they do not know it. Another way to think about it is by looking at people who are hypnotized and make fools of themselves in front of others, and after they are brought out of their hypnotic trance they are not even aware of the foolishness that they committed while under the hypnotic spell. Proverbs 21:20 “There is desirable treasure, and oil (anointing) in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.” The worst part is that once a believer falls under bewitchment, he/she squanders the anointing that God has given them for true discernment. How did the Galatians church turn from being a Spirit filled church into a deceived and bewitched fellowship? Galatians 3:2 “This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” Paul does not mess around, he goes right after the heart of the issue, and asks them the question of how they received their spiritual anointing originally, for after all that was what they had squandered away. How do we know whether we are being deceived or not? The anointing tells us! If the anointing is present within us, we have nothing to fear, for it is the anointing that always reveals God’s truth which is the antidote for deception. But if the anointing is lacking, then we should know that there is a problem that needs to be dealt with. By definition bewitching means that there is a problem that is present, and for some unexplained reason, nobody can or seems to be able to do anything about it, they just keep putting up with it. The door for a bewitching spirit is opened when an individual or a congregation compromises the Truth of the Word of God! Matthew 7:26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish (one who squanders the anointing) man who built his house on the sand.” In the case of the Galatians church, they started with a great anointing that was brought about by Paul’s preaching to them about God’s grace, as he clearly portrayed to them Jesus Christ crucified for their sins. Then some Jews who wanted all the Gentile believers to be converted to Judaism and follow the law of Moses, preached to the Galatians a different gospel than what Paul had preached to them, a gospel of legalism to which they were now trying to conform. Galatians 3:3 “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? (the works of the law)” This does not mean that we do not try to live up to the righteous standards of the perfect Law of God, for this is what Scripture says about that: 1 Peter 1:16 “Because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’” What was at issue here was how does one attain to the righteousness of God, is it through the works of fulfilling the requirements of the Law or by simple faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead? Galatians 3:5 “Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you (for the anointing that works miracles) and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” It should have been obvious to all the Jewish believers that the law of Moses never made anyone perfect, on the contrary the law convicted them of sin, so that when Jesus preached to them that salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned or merited, the true Gospel was revealed to them as it had been prophesied in the Old Testament to them: Galatians 3:11 “But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for the just shall live by faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 “Behold the proud (legalist), his soul in not upright with him; but the just shall live by his faith.” So that the legalism of the day was become a Jewish convert, and we will not persecute you, and that was what got the Galatians into trouble with the apostle Paul, and the reason why the anointing had left them. Galatians 5:11 “And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.” The offense of the cross to the legalists was that now righteousness before God could be attained by simple faith in the work of salvation that Jesus accomplished for us in the cross. I know that this can be a little confusing to some people, so let me try to explain it in another way. What does it profit a Christian to try to live up to the commandments of God? Let us look at the commandment that says do not steal. If you are a Christian all your sins are forgiven you, but if you steal while a Christian, will the law of the land forgive you also for being a believer? No, you get caught stealing and you ask the Lord to forgive you, He will forgive you according to 1 John 1:9, but you are still going to have to do the time for breaking the laws of man. So that as a Christian if you steal, you will not only lose your freedom, but you will lose your testimony as well. The same can be said about committing adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lying, dishonoring your parents, or whatever other commandments there may be, there are always consequences for breaking God’s Law. Being honest, faithful, trustworthy, responsible and law abiding can get you far in this world with the law and with others, but not with God as far as your salvation is concern. People who abide by the basic principles of the law will fair much better in this world than those who are the law breakers. But if you want God to save you on the merits of your legal standing within God’s Law, you are in deep trouble. Galatians 3:10 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.’” What does that mean? Psalm 19:7 “The law of the Lord is perfect…” The Law of the Lord is perfect, and we are not! So that if we wanted to be made perfect before God on the merits of keeping His Law for the purpose of salvation, we would have to keep all of them, all the time. And that is very much impossible since we are all born sinners before we even get old enough to have a chance to do good or bad. That is why the conception of Jesus was not the work of man, but He was conceived by the Spirit of the Living God in the womb of the virgin. Galatians 4:4-5 “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law (to fulfill the Law in order that He may), to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.” Galatians 3:22 “But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.” 1 Peter 1:23 “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.” Now here is a final truth that will keep you from becoming bewitched. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Previous Next Home
- DISCERNING FALSE TEACHERS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
DISCERNING FALSE TEACHERS Equip believers to discern false teachings by anchoring themselves in the gospel’s “righteousness of faith,” testing teachings and spirits by Scripture, and responding with prayerful integrity. Clarify the difference between destructive error and healthy theological debate, so Christians can recognize bad fruit, protect their minds, and keep their eyes on Jesus. < Back DISCERNING FALSE TEACHERS Minister Lisa Kane October 31, 2022 Objective: Equip believers to discern false teachings by anchoring themselves in the gospel’s “righteousness of faith,” testing teachings and spirits by Scripture, and responding with prayerful integrity. Clarify the difference between destructive error and healthy theological debate, so Christians can recognize bad fruit, protect their minds, and keep their eyes on Jesus. Synopsis: Lisa Kane opens with Jude 12–13 to frame false teachers as visible “spots” and fruitless “clouds without water.” She then lays a gospel foundation from John 3:15–17 and Romans 10:5–13: salvation rests on confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection— a righteousness received by faith, not by law-keeping. Hebrews 11–12 adds the “cloud of witnesses,” underscoring that our public confession places us openly on Christ’s side and strengthens us to run our race. Believers are urged to evaluate every message by Scripture, spending “secret place” time with the Holy Spirit, our best Teacher. From 2 Peter 2:1–3, 12–13, 17, false teachers are marked by covetous motives, deception, and self-destruction; from 1 John 4:1–3, they fail the Christological test (denying Jesus come in the flesh); and from Matthew 7:15–20, they are ultimately known by their fruit. The proper response isn’t social attacking but intercession: pray for pastors, teachers, opponents, and for personal discernment. To distinguish error from legitimate discussion, Kane contrasts false teaching with a “healthy theological debate,” using the identity of Revelation’s two witnesses (Rev 11) as an example where Scripture allows differing views without undermining the gospel. She traces related passages (Numbers 16; Revelation 16, 19–20) to model careful, contextual comparison rather than speculative dogmatism. Practically, believers “wear the helmet of salvation,” test doctrines against the whole counsel of Scripture, watch for motives and fruit, and entrust controversies to God in prayer. The message closes by calling Christians to deepen time in the Word, rely on the Holy Spirit for wisdom, and keep their focus on Jesus, whose truth exposes deception and preserves the church. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Sunday, October 30th, 2022. Welcome. This message is called Discerning False Teachings. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this message and we thank you for your blessing on it. Thank you for fulfilling our hearts and minds with your word, your strong word, your gospel, so that we are not deceived by the false teachings that are going around the world today and tomorrow. We thank you for your strength within us. And we thank you for giving us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in your scriptures. And we thank you for pointing us to you so we can keep our eyes focused on you. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to the book of Jude. Jude has only one chapter. So, we're going to read verses 12 and 13. These are spots in your love feast. While they feast with you without fear, serving only themselves, they are clouds without water, carried about by the winds, late autumn, trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots, raging waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame. wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. What an interesting scripture, right? So, what we're going to be doing with this message is is I'm going to show you how to discern some false teachings out there and basically show you the difference between a healthy theological debate and the false teachings that are out there. So, in order to do that, so what I'm going to have to do here is bring you the basics of what the gospel stands for, what the gospel is, and then use that and the scriptures that teaches us how to determine what is a false teaching. And and really, you can tell by their fruits or they stand out like a sore thumb or, you know, here it is in Jude, it says there spots in your love feast. They're they're individuals that are in between you and they they're hindering you, holding you back. They're they stand out everything. They're contrary to what you say. So, these are people that are purposely placed in certain situations within your area or your realm that is doing everything to stop you and they do stand out. There is also, you can see here, autumn trees without fruit. Uh they're clouds without water. the so you're going to be able to see these. You can recognize them. So I want to show you that. But let's start with the gospel and get a foundation here first. Okay, we're going to go to John because you know that's where it is spoken of right here in John 3. We're going to read verses 15 through 17, the most popular verses in here. That whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. Okay? So I I want you to notice something here. So, I've been teaching in the past several messages that as made in God's image, we are a representative of God and that every generation has a representative of God to them. Noah, to that generation, the nation of Israel had their representation as the judgment, the law. They they're the ones that said, "Here's the ten commandments to the world." And basically they said, "Well, that's how you have to live righteously." Well, okay. So Jesus came, their Messiah, and they cut him off. And because they had cut him off, he was crucified, and then he rose from the dead. So now what Jesus did is he took that representation from the nation of Israel and he put it on himself and he says, "I am the son of God. I am the word that became flesh that has always been there. And he's the embodiment of let there be light. That spoken word. He is that power. And every time he walked here on the face of the earth, not only did he overcome Satan in the wilderness, he laid hands on people. They got healed, sick, and it was because of he is the power. He is that embodiment. So he fulfilled that law. So let's look at the scriptures so that we can see how the gospel came about by the fulfillment of the law. So here in Romans 10:5 through13, for Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law. The man who does these things shall live by them. But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way. So in the Old Testament, you lived by righteousness by keeping the ten commandments. You kept them. you were righteous. God called certain people righteous. And you're going to see that here in a bit. And it it went from the Old Testament all the way to the New Testament. And you can see people who are righteous. So God knew who to call righteous. But he did something different with his son, the Messiah, the only begotten son that you see that he came to not condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. And that means there's probably going to be people who won't be. That is part of this gospel. So now that you see that he has fulfilled the law, we have a new righteousness to follow. That is the gospel here. Watch this. It's a righteousness of faith. Look at this verse six. But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way. Do not say in your heart, who will ascend into heaven, that is to bring Christ down from above. or who will descend into the abyss? That is to bring Christ up from the dead. But what does it say? The word is near you in your mouth and in your heart. That is the word of faith which we preach. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes into righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made into salvation. For the scripture says, "Whoever believes on him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. For the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon him. For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." So we have a righteousness of faith. How does that work? Did you see it was by the spoken word? Remember God said spoken word let there be light and there was light. Jesus is the embodiment of that. So when he was crucified and he went to the grave for three days and he came back up the grave couldn't hold him because he is the embodiment of the power of the spoken word. So now to embrace that we need to speak out in faith. How do you do that? When you confess a spoken word to the air, no one can see you. And what happens is you are speaking out in faith because you can't see Jesus. You can't see God. You can't see the Holy Spirit. So, you're actually speaking out in faith. And what you're doing is when you confess with your mouth, you are making a statement to everyone who's watching. We're going to get into that in just a minute who's watching you. But you're making that bold statement and then in your heart because you're doing this because you're like, "Well, okay, God, I can't see you, but I'm told this is how I should believe. I need to repent. I need to confess my sins. I need to re do this out loud with a spoken word. So in my heart, Lord, I am sorry." And what happens is your confession is made true. And now a seed is planted in you and you become a new creature. Now how that seed germinates and grows is up to you entirely. It's up to you and how you spend time with God. But the basics of salvation is that do you have to be water baptized? No. Look at the two thieves that were on the cross when Jesus one was cursing Jesus. The other one says stop. He's innocent. What are you talking about? Jesus told the guy who said stop your innocence. says, "I will see you in paradise tonight." He was saved and he did not need to be water baptized. And if you understand water baptism, you will know that Jesus ever after he was water baptized, he went into the wilderness, dealt with the devil, and then went into ministry. So getting baptized is not so much an acknowledgment of your salvation because that was your confession, but your acknowledgment with water baptism is saying, "I'm ready for the ministry. I'm ready to lay hands. That is the gospel. So, it it has righteousness of faith built into it. Has to deal with the confession of the mouth and it has to deal with letting God know with a repentive heart that you're sorry and that you were a sinner and now Jesus is your Lord and Savior. Now, the act of Jesus on the cross and his blood and his broken body, those are the embodiment of what that represents in the spirit realm. Anyways, righteousness of faith. Now, when you speak out to faith, you speak to a cloud of witnesses. So, who's this cloud of witnesses? So, in Hebrews, we're going to get into Hebrews here in just a moment. Go to Hebrews 11. Now remember, I'm always trying to encourage you to read the extra scriptures because I don't have time to present them all here. Take a look at chapter 11. It will uplift you like you have never been uplifted. If you're down, if you're ever down, read that chapter because that will always bless you and help you lift up out of it because you're going to see all these people who did things that you're now a part of. When you make that confession, your name gets written in the lamb's book of life and is written in blood and that I believe and that it cannot be taken out. Why? Because anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. And that is God's word. So now when you speak that, you speak that to this cloud of witnesses, something interesting happens. I want you to see this. So we're going to read the end of Hebrews 11, which is verse 39 and 40. And we're going to read the first two verses of chapter 12. And all these having obtained a good testimony through faith did not receive the promise. So all of those people that he mentions in chapter 11 were given a promise. The bride of Christ were given a promise. Those people died before they saw their promise. But they believed that it was real. Abraham believed he would be the father of many nations. even though God asked him to sacrifice his son and then he believed and it was counted to him as righteousness. So when you see something like that, you're you're realizing all of a sudden, okay, well, this has to do with the heart, but has to do with putting God in his where he belongs, which is above you. So watch how this goes. So he's telling you that they did not receive the promise. Now verse 40, God having provided something better for us that they should not be made perfect apart from us. verse uh one in chapter 12. Therefore, we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ens snares us. And let us run with endurance a race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has not sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. So now when you speak that confession to this cloud of witnesses, which are all the people of righteousness in the past that are already in the presence of the Lord, you're also speaking to God, the God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. You're also speaking to the angels and the demons, and you're speaking to anyone else who is listening. Why does that matter? Because now everyone knows what side you're on and who you stand for. It says why it has to be spoken out loud. You don't have to be in a church to speak that you you can be in the top mountain. Say those words be changed. And when you go out to minister because that's what happens when you get changed as you go into the ministry because your testimony speaks very powerfully. We're going to see how that uh works and how the fruit is manifested from that. People didn't even have to hear your confession. They know that you're a believer because they can see it by the fruit, which is what I'm going to be getting into here as we talk about false teachings and we determine who those false teachings are. Now, you notice we didn't have to go through the shame of the cross. Jesus did that. We get to have this confession. We're uh prevented or kept from that shame. So you know since Jesus did the shame for us you know when we should not be ashamed of him because he is not ashamed of us and that is very important. It comes down to the heart and the mind and what you consider most important. So you have this righteousness of faith and that is the basic foundation of salvation and it has to do with confessing your sins out loud and basically just simply saying Lord I ask you to forgive me my sins. I ask you to come into my heart. I ask you to be over my mind and over my life and be my Lord and Savior in the name of Jesus. I repent. Amen. And repent means to turn from the ways you were living to your new way. And he will teach you if you have to spend time in the word of God. Now, that's very important. Let me reiterate this part. You want to make sure that what you're listening to and you're hearing from preachers and teachers aligns with the word of God. So when you become a believer in Christ, you judge their messages and you need to know how to judge that message. And you need to know by spending time in the scriptures alone with the Holy Spirit because the best teacher you'll ever have is the Holy Spirit, not Lisa and not any other pastor or preacher out there, the Holy Spirit. So, it is your responsibility to accept or reject messages, which is how you're going to be able to determine what a false teaching is. That's very important. This is actually a weapon in our arsenal as a believer in Christ because we do wear the helmet of salvation. And what happens is all these woke ideologies and false teachings try to penetrate, but there's red flags going off because if you were reading the scripture and you were spending time with God, you'll be like, "But God said this. God said that. I know his scripture that." And you go and you validate and look. So you should be able to determine that, see that, know that, and act upon it. Now, how do you act upon it? You don't go out to the world and pick on them socially or harass them socially. Who is the accuser? Satan. Let him do his job. Your job is to go spend time with God and to give it to God. We're going to see what Moses did here at the end. Because when he gave something to God about an attack of a false teaching that could have crumbled everything, he said, "No, no, no. Uh, this ain't about me. This is about God. I'm giving it to God." You're going to see that. So, what's going to happen is your responsibility is to go to God and say, "Lord, I give you this person and I give you this situation because I don't know what to do. I don't know how to handle it and I'm just praying and giving it to your attention. It is off my hands. It is in your hands. And when you do something like that, you're giving God permission to deal with it. And he will because you will see that false teachings are cut off. You will see that they die. You will see that they do not multiply. You will and in fact, you can take a look at it in today's politics. You can see this other side by their actions. And as you see their actions, you're you're noticing that they're not getting uh away with it. And people are waking up and realizing it because they're they're they're looking at the actions going, "Wait a minute, but you said one thing, but you're telling but you did something else." And that realization is coming into play. So again though, because God puts people in places, it is not your responsibility to tear them down. That is the devil. Let God and the devil deal with that. Your responsibility is to pray for them. Pray for yourself that you're understanding it correctly because I'm going to show you a a difference between a healthy theological debate versus an actual false teaching because there are differences which means that prayer plays a huge role in here. Again, that's your responsibility. Jesus taught us how to pray. We put God first. He he is our headship. Jesus is our headship. That is the confession and the belief in our heart, the basic of salvation. And then he says, "Ask for whatever you ask, it will be given to you." And where two or three are gathered, this is also very powerful because where you guys get together in prayer, you say, "Lord, I lift up this pastor." You need to be praying for your pastors, your teachers, and who you listen to because they need your prayers. I am telling you, I need your prayers. So when you do that, you're taking up your responsibility and you're giving it to God and you're going to let God deal with it. Amen. Amen. Amen. Okay. So now what I want to do is I want to show you more of the scriptures of how you can tell because now that you understand what salvation is, what the gospel message is, that is your helmet of salvation. This is what's going to keep you from all of these false teachings. And remember though, you need to spend time in the word of God. You need to validate this in the word of God. You need to go in there and check and look at the scriptures. Make sure they're not being taken out of context. Make sure that they corroborate one another, that there's other areas because everything balance. There's a corroboration. Every scripture kind of links to other scriptures in there. You you got to say it's powerful. Get into the word of God. Spend the secret place time with the Lord. Psalm 91. That's very important. Okay. Look at these other scriptures here. Second Peter 2 1-3. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed by covetousness. They will exploit you with exploit you with deceptive words for a long time. Their judgment has not been idle and their destruction does not slumber. Okay. From the very first scripture that I read, which we're going to see more of here in second Peter, you will see a very important key that helps you understand if it's a false teacher or not. Look at the key word here. I mean, there are several, but I want you to see this one. This is the one that stands out the most to me. By covetousness, they covet what you have, but they don't want to make the repentance. You see, if you recall my teachings, I told you who was in the Garden of Eden with Adam and God. Ezekiel tells us Lucifer was there. What was wrong with Lucifer? He's watching the relationship build up between Adam and God. And he got jealous. He coveted it. In fact, not he went beyond that. He crossed that line and he said, "You need to worship me." You see, that is the root of false teaching. Now look at also what what else happens here. You see, there are false prophets, false teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and then bring on swift destruction. As soon as a destructive heresy comes into play here, it is destroyed and very quickly. So, like you can take a look at what happened with Black Lives Matter and all of that kind of stuff and you can see it ended very quickly. But that is why see you can start to see some of the false teachings. Watch watch how it ends. But Black Lives Matters about their themselves. You see the root the covetousness in there. Oh, and Jude talked about that. Peter is actually going to re uh reiterate that here in uh right here in in chapter 2 verses uh 12 through 13 and verse 17. I do have a typo there in my header there. Sorry about that. Says, "But these like natural brood," and by the way, we are continuing in second Peter 2. We just finished reading verses 1 and three. Now we're coming into verses 12 to 13, verse 17. But these are like natural brute bees made to be caught and destroyed. Oh, you have got when you're in the word of God, you will understand that God is in control of everything. And he uses the devil as his puppet. And that means he brings in people that are purposely made to destroy. They are purposely sacrificed for the ones that God already knew are going to choose him. He sets this up. And and when once you understand that concept, it really blows everything out of the water because now you realize the devil doesn't have a chance. We're going to see that here, too. So, uh, be made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, and will receive the wages of unrighteousness as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you. And then verse 17, these are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. Isn't that what Jude says? So Peter is reiterating it, saying they stand out like a sword, thumb, they're a spot, they're a blemish. You will see the destruction come on them very quickly. So when you see a false teach and you're not sure about it, you pray about it, you give it to the Lord, you move on with your life, but you will see it end and it will be destroyed very quickly. So you don't want to get caught up on that because you know what your salvation is. You know your righteousness of faith. You know what your your covenant spoken word and repentance was. You know what your confession was. So do not get caught up with this. You just need to wait. But give it to the Lord and pray because that is your responsibility and you will see. You will see. So let's continue on here and take a look at now 1 John 4:es 1-3. Beloved, do not believe every spirit. So what we're going to be looking at now is how to test it. This is powerful. Watch this. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God. Because many false prophets have gone out into the world. But this you know the spirit of God. You see when you became a believer and you confessed him and then you allow that seed to germinate because you're spending secret time with the Lord and you're getting to know him because you keep reading the Bible. You know him. You know him. Watch this. By this you know the spirit of God. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of Antichrist which you have heard was coming and is now already in the world. Oh wow. This is powerful. So let's say you've got somebody who is around you and they're very contrary to everything you say. You can test it by simply, you know, make a little statement like, um, oh man, I'm going to be praying in Jesus that this is going to be made well. We're going to have victory. And when they're contrary to you, and they don't don't speak Jesus, they do not consider him to have been the son of God. They may think he's a good prophet, a good person, but not the son of God. You will know by that very moment. I humbly apologize about the sound outside. That's our pool cleaner going off and he sounds like a monster going off. But anyways, you will know because if they cannot say Jesus and they cannot acknowledge him as the son of God, then they are not of God. And you need to separate yourself and but you most importantly you need to pray for them. You absolutely need to be praying for them. And here's, you know, let's look at this a little further because Matthew describes this a little bit more here in Matthew 7. We're going to look at uh verses 15 through 20. Beware of false prophets who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. See, if they're contrary to you and they've been fighting you and fighting you and fighting you, that is fruit. And that tells you right now they're not of Jesus. So, you can see that go on. You can see the fruit of what they're doing. Look at the fruit of Black Lives Matter. It's dead now. It's pretty much dead in the water. I mean, you're you're seeing it all become exposed. Look at our politics. Look at our government. You can see everything is exposed because they're d they're being destroyed. By the way, destroyed by themselves and the devil, you know, they God doesn't really need to do anything. They're doing it to themselves. This is kind of comical if you ask me. But anyways, they are destroying themselves and you can see it coming to an end. It is destroying themselves. I mean, I just saw a couple of speeches of Nancy Pelosi and Obama and the crowds. They thought they had control of the crowds. The crowds are turning on them and chanting, "You're a liar. You're a liar." So, you see these things happening. That is the fruit of what they've been talking about. Is that productive fruit? No. Absolutely not. So you can see it is bad for you and people are recognizing that. But again, are you the one that should be chanting out there? You need to be praying for them. They need your prayers. They may never ever call God and confess to God. They never they may never do that. But your responsibility is to pray for them so that they would whether they do or not. It doesn't matter. You do your responsibility and then we'll see how this goes. So that is one way to tell of their fruit. So now what I want to do is I want to teach you what a healthy theological debate is. And I want to show you because this is different than let's say a false teaching. So I because I think a lot of people blur the lines here and I I really want to make sure that there's a little understanding here. So one of the the healthy theological debates that are around are about the two witnesses in Revelation. So let's go read some scriptures on the two witnesses. And I want to show you the healthy theological debate here. Okay? That way you can understand. So we already know what our gospel message is. We already know what our salvation is. And we already know that we can tell because they stand out like a sore thumb or they're blemish or you can see that they're not being fruitful. So now we're going to use that measurement and we're going to measure it against a healthy theological debate. So here in Revelation 11, we're going to read verses 3 through8. And I will give power to my two witnesses. And they will prophesy 1,260 days clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the God of earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this manner. These have power to shut heaven so that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. and they have power over waters to turn them to blood and to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they desire. When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them, and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. Okay, the theological debate that goes on is who are the two witnesses? Okay, you've got one group of people that are saying that it is Moses and Elijah. You have another group that says it's Enoch and Elijah. Okay, first of all, do the scriptures even tell you who the two witnesses are? Well, kind of. They gave you a description of what they're going to do. So, you you do have that uh you can see straight up. I want to get back to the scripture here. Um they have power to shut heaven that no rain falls in the days of their prophecy. They have power over waters to turn them to blood to strike the earth with all plagues as often as they desire. But look what else they're described as. They uh are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the god of earth. And notice if anyone wants to harm, the fire proceeds from their mouth and devours their enemies. It it it's as if um they got like a protective bubble around them. And so they shoot the the fire out and it anyway what happens is the enemy tries to shoot fire at them or tries to harm them. It bounces off the protective uh the protective bubble and and kills the enemy trying to kill them. This is who they are. So they've got these plagues but there are no names. No names. So it's semantics. Okay. Does it really matter if we identify who the two witnesses are? Not really. it it isn't for a spiritual growth per se. Now, if you're somebody who studies the scriptures and you're seeing a mystery here, then this could be a very interesting theological thing to look at. But there's another element to this that I think a lot of people forget. So, let's let's go into a little of the concepts here. So, those that say it's Moses and Elijah, they look at the the plagues and the fire from heaven or holding up rain. These are things that both Moses and Elijah did when they were here. Now, Moses died. We know that Michael can he did not uh he dealt with Satan. In the book of Jude, by the way, you can go back to the book of Jude and you can tell him that the Lord rebuked you. He was talking about the body of Moses, which means when you hear about the body of Moses, Moses is dead. So, Moses died. Elijah didn't. He was taken up in a chariot of fire. The reason a lot of people bring up Enoch and Elijah is that Enoch was also raptured or he was God took him for he was righteous and he prophesied about the second coming of Christ. So, but did he call fire down from heaven and hold up rain? There wasn't rain at that time. He lived in a different time period. And this is why a lot of people disagree that it's him. But both Elijah and Enoch did not die. Moses did. Then the scriptures say that is appointed for everyone to die at least once. So does that make the scripture a liar if Enoch never dies. So you can see the the philosophy here or this this um this how should I put it um a healthy theological debate that is taking place here. But you got to know your scriptures to understand the mystery. You know, we do re reemphasize and and anyone who is in this he healthy theological debate will tell you go read the scriptures and that's good. We want you reading the scriptures. You see, the best teacher is the Holy Spirit, not Lisa, not anybody else out here. You and the Holy Spirit will learn a whole lot more. So, you got to get in there. Now let's continue on and read a little bit more about what happens here because this goes right along with this healthy theological debate says now after three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them and they stood on their feet and great fear fell on those who saw them and they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them come up here and they ascended to heaven in a cloud and their enemies saw them. So, we saw them get killed. Uh they they're killed three and a half years in. They their bodies lay on the street for three and a half days. Nobody buries them. In fact, they exchange gifts. Again, go read the rest of the scriptures. And what happens is these two had died. That makes God's scripture true if it is Enoch and Elijah because now everyone has died. Well, let's go a little further because there are two other people that didn't die. And that goes right along with this theological debate. Now, is there anything wrong with those people that are promoting Moses and Elijah? Well, if they're telling you not to believe in Jesus, then yes, there's something wrong with them. But if they're telling you to go to the scripture and that Jesus is the son of God, there's nothing wrong with them. They just have a different understanding and a different interpretation and it may be incomplete which means they need your prayer. So this healthy theological debate. So here I just presented both sides but there's a third side because there's two other people that didn't die. Wait, what? Let's go look at that scripture because again it's a healthy theological debate. I'm just Previous Next Home

MANIFESTING THE GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES To teach believers how to manifest the great and precious promises of God by gaining true knowledge of His Word, living a life of godliness, and walking in the authority and power of the Holy Spirit through repentance, renouncement, and active faith. < Back MANIFESTING THE GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES Minister Lisa Kane September 28, 2023 Objective: To teach believers how to manifest the great and precious promises of God by gaining true knowledge of His Word, living a life of godliness, and walking in the authority and power of the Holy Spirit through repentance, renouncement, and active faith. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane emphasizes the importance of building faith upon the Word of God as revealed in 2 Peter 1. She begins by committing to teach using the King James Version along with Hebrew and Greek root word studies from Strong’s Concordance, to ensure accuracy and deeper understanding of scripture. The teaching underscores that no prophecy is of private interpretation but is inspired by the Holy Spirit, making God’s Word self-validating across the writings of the prophets and apostles. Knowledge of the Word is revealed as one of the key promises believers must manifest—without it, as Hosea 4:6 warns, God’s people are destroyed. This knowledge leads to life and godliness, producing a chain of growth: diligence → faith → virtue → knowledge → self-control → patience → godliness → kindness → love. Lisa explains that manifesting God’s promises means living actively and fruitfully, not passively or barren. Believers are called to walk in excellence, discernment, and holiness, avoiding corruption and longing for worldly things. By living in this way, Christians can walk without error or stumbling, contrary to the common belief that falling into sin is inevitable. The message also highlights the practical steps of repentance and renouncement. Repentance restores safety, deliverance, and cleansing, while renouncement disowns sinful patterns, declaring to heaven and earth a decisive break from dishonesty and craftiness. Manifesting God’s truth allows believers to live as walking testimonies, visibly transformed and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Finally, Lisa assures that when believers walk in God’s promises, they enter into His everlasting kingdom, partaking in the divine nature and reflecting His glory. This life of godliness is both a present testimony and an eternal inheritance, rooted in Christ’s grace, truth, and authority. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this on Thursday, September 28th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Manifesting the Great and Precious Promises. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your anointing. We thank you for your knowledge. And we thank you that we have an understanding of your scriptures that we can manifest those promises that you've given us and live by those promises. Father God, thank you in the glorious name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. So before I delve into here, I want to explain a change I'm going to start doing going forward from this day on in this teaching. I am going to start using the King James version of the Bible versus the New King James Version, which is what I've been using simply because I want to get the scripture in its original text. The original interpretation of the Hebrew and the Greek was the King James version into English and it is the closest meaning. On top of that, I'm also going to take key words in every scripture and I'm going to show you the root word in the Hebrew, what it also could mean. Meaning, if there's a word that says power, I'm going to give you some other uh words in the Hebrew or the Greek of what that word means. All of that is going to come from the Strong's dictionary. Okay? Hebrew and Greek. Now also the way I'm going to do it on my slides when I present scripture parentheses and the words italicized within those parentheses will be those extra words. The bold word will be the original word that was used in the King James version. Okay? And I'm going to try to read the scripture as without it with without those extra words and then with those extra words so that you can get the full complete message out of this. Amen. And reminder, judge me. Judge my teachings. Am I teaching from the scripture? Am I taking it out of context? Am I manipulating it? Am I biased? You judge. You look at it. And you know what? Whether you accept it or reject it, always go to God and always ask him for his uh for his wisdom and his understanding. He will show you that his knowledge. Amen. And then pray for me, please. I could always use the prayer. Amen. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to focus a lot on second Peter 1 today. Um, but let's go to the end of what second Peter said. This is our opening scriptures. Knowing this verse that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. What I want you to see here is the word of God and its truth. It is knowledge. And the knowledge is one of the promises that we have to being active and manifesting the Holy Spirit's promises, God's promises to us. So, let's delve a little further into the scripture, the word knowing there. And I just did a teaching on this a handful of weeks ago, a a deep teaching the word k n o w simply to show you that there are many there's like five six different interpretations of the word know in the Greek alom well here this one simply means knowing it's to absolutely know so you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt you know you know you know says here you know that first knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private it. Look at that. Pertaining to self interpretation or an interpretation just simply means explanation. Self-interpretation. That's not what the Bible is about. It Peter is clearly telling us this because see, we're going to be dealing with knowledge. So, he's telling us straight up, no prophecy of the scripture is of any self-interpretation. meaning that everything that you read in the Bible will interpret itself in one place or another between the different authors that wrote. And these different authors were men. Look at this. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved. That word moved is they they they bared the word that was given to them. They could feel it and they carried it and they carried it to paper to the papyrus to really write it down and it was filled with the anointing of the Holy Ghost or holy means sacred and ghost means air or spirit. So the sacred spirit, sacred air, I would go with Holy Ghost because that is Christianity. If you if you get into more of the air, the the sacred air, the sacred spirit, it can be interpreted into many different other ways and you got to be very very careful and cautious with that. But the reason I wanted to show you the scripture is because we're going to be talking about knowledge. It's one of the promises and it's through that knowledge that we will be manifesting these promises that God has given us. Amen. So, let's go to second Peter. Uh we're going to start here in verse three in chapter one. according to his as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Okay, let's pause here in verse three. I want you to see something here is very very neat and very powerful. This is why I wanted to change my teaching technique to this this methodology says according as his divine power. Look at that word power means force and another word is miracles. God performs miracles, right? So according as his divine miracles, see how you can bring this in in that way. Hath given uh unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. His power, the force of God, his miracles is what gives us life and godliness. question is whether you believe those miracles, whether you believe that force that that power. That's what it is. And and you know, and don't fall for the force is with you kind of starter wars kind of thing here, but simply to put that there is the Holy Ghost who is moving and he he manifest in us his anointing and we will under we will recognize it and know it as a believer in Christ. When Jesus was baptized and he came up and the dove landed on him, the anointing landed on him. That dove manifested, it it showed everyone around John specifically the one writing that in the Bible showed that this is what I was supposed to see. I see it. I saw he is an eyewitness to it. And that goes to show that the Holy Ghost came Jesus at this time. And the two of them work together. So, and notice this is until life in godliness. How should you live your life? Life, it should be a long life of blessings and godliness. You should be living a godly life. And I know what a lot of churches would teach you is that we're still human. So, we're going to still air. We're still going to fall. We're going to still um mess up because we're in the flesh. Well, I'm going to show you here that we can manifest this godliness and not air or fall. That's what's so powerful about this. But notice it says through the knowledge of him. We got to go look at Hosea real quick because I want you to see something here. Hosea's 4 and6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge because thou hast rejected knowledge. I will also reject thee that thou shalt be no priest to me. seen. Thou hast forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children. This is how important this is. Knowledge. Now, let's let's break it down. Says, "My people are destroyed." Look at that. To be dumb or silent. If you're not manifesting godliness in your life, you are silent or dumb because you're not in knowledge of the word of God in which you should be walking in life and godliness. You catching this? This is very very powerful. For lack of knowledge, look at what this word knowledge. This is Old Testament. It's Hebrew. Cunning aware. Every Christian believer out there should be very cunning. You should know exactly what to pray for. You should be aware of your surroundings and you should know what word of God you should be applying to that situation. What scripture this is something you should know. This is your knowledge that you have. This is what gives you life and life abundantly is the knowledge of the Holy Spirit because thou hast rejected knowledge. Spurn. Did you say spurn or refuse? You're refusing the knowledge. you're refusing to go read the Bible or here's another way to look at this. I and I'm not trying to bring in a self-interpretation. This is an actual fact. People go to church to the pastor or they call up a renowned pastor and they rather hear his interpretation instead of opening the Bible and reading the scriptures for themselves. And what's happening a lot in in the churches right now is you can have your Bible on your phone device or device, whatever device you have and they will put the scriptures up there on the screen for you and it is so lovely. However, is that the scripture? Is it appropriate? You need to be the judge and you need to be learning and thinking am I learning correctly what is being interpret interpretated here or am I being misled. You see that is your responsibility as a recipient of listening to the word of God being taught. The same here this is why I told you to judge me. you know, are you getting the scripture presented to you properly or has it been, how should I say, uh, more like a a rundown version of it. We do need to watch out for Bible versions. NIV is a great example. How many scriptures are missing in that version? And people are missing out on that. So, we have to be aware of this. We have to be knowledgeable because that's what we need to manifest. And as a teacher of the word of God, I need to be manifesting this. This is one of the reasons why I'm choosing to change my format here. But it's just so interesting that you would be dumb or silent because you don't have your canning awareness because you're refusing the knowledge because you're you and then oh and the consequences of that is you won't be a priest. So I've taught that we are priests over over our households, over our children, over our workplace and everything. And to be that priest, you have to have knowledge of the word of God. But look, he says, I will reject ye thee that thou shalt be no priest to me. You know what is a priest? It says here it's from or out of meaning you're you're separated from the world and you mediate in religious services. So you cannot manifest that godliness life and godliness that second Peter talked about if you're rejecting the word of God or you're interpreting it your own way and not having validation within scripture. And then there's even further consequence since you're now because you're being oblivious to this, oblivious to the law of God, to his word, you he says, "I will forget thy children." There's a consequence to your children for you not having this knowledge and not living this godliness because they're going to see you in who you truly are of the world. You see, you can put on your face when you get to church and be, "Oh, I am being godly." But when you get home, your children see the truth and there's a consequence to that. So going back to um second Peter, let's go on to verse four. So knowledge, life and godliness through knowledge, which is the knowing of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. Excellence. We should be excellent in what we stand for with life and godliness. It's a manifestation of his promise, virtue. This is what we should be living as. Go to verse four. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises. I don't need to interpret that and I didn't put any extra words, but great and precious promises, which is what this message is about. That by these by these great and precious promises, ye might be partakers of the divine. Guess what that word divine translates to? Godhead, the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. You got to see this. Watch the explanation of this. This is awesome. Partakers of the godhead growing, having escaped the corruption that is in this world or the orderly arrangement of things. You see, things are corrupt. Now, this world belongs to the devil. We know that and we live separate from the world. They need to be separate from the world. The world is longing. Look at this. They're through lust. They're longing. Remember Lot's wife coming out of Sodom and Gomorrah. She longed and looked back and she was turned into a pillar of salt. The world is in that corruption. And we should not be in that lust or that longful, that longing for that stuff. We should be separate. Meaning, it shouldn't be impacting you at all. You should be manifesting life and godliness, not longing. Big difference. And this is going to also show you how to this is going to talk to the conscience of the minds of men. We're going to see that in scripture here. Let's continue on in second Peter in chapter 1. We're in verse 5 now. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith, reliance upon Christ for salvation, virtue, excellence, and to virtue knowledge. Okay, there's like a chain reaction of life and godliness of these great and precious promises that we have. So one, giving all diligence. This is something we need to do. We need to be eager. Eager is another word for giving of all diligence. Giving of all eagerness. Add to your faith. What's faith? Relying upon Christ for salvation. Jesus is the son of God. So I should be eager to rely with to add it to my faith. my eagerness should be adding to my faith, giving me that excellent uh understanding of the word and to knowledge. So the excellence should lead to knowledge. So there's this there's like a map that takes us right to it. Says diligence to faith to virtue to knowledge. Then it goes further. says, "Now, and to knowledge, temperance, which is self-control, and to temperance, patience, which is hopeful endurance, and to patience." There's your godliness. Do you see the path to get to godliness starts with you being eager? It starts with you having faith. It starts with you having the excellence of the knowledge. And it starts and then it goes with self-control. And it looks like you got patience. You're hoping. You can't see it, but you got patience. You're hoping. And then you have that godliness, that pause. All hell's breaking loose, but you can just say, "Peace." And and that's the authority and the power you have. And you get to manifest that through his great promises that are given to us. Then it goes even further because when you start walking in your godliness, this is verse seven. You have kindness. You love the people around you. Now you want to save them. You have a heart for them. And you want them to see God the same way you do. Oh my goodness, this is awesome. And to brotherly kindness. Look at this. Charity, affection, or benevolence, desire to do good. In other words, uh you see somebody like a widow who's in a situation and you realize they need groceries or they need their lawn mowed or their house painted or some things worked on. You desire to do good. It transforms you when you walk in the promises that are given here, these great and precious promises, because now you're walking in godliness and it is manifesting itself around you in all the acts that you do. Look at what else uh Peter says. This is uh second Peter 1:8. For if these things be in you, so that was that whole list we just talked about, and abound, meaning they're manifesting. They're coming out more now. They make you that ye shall neither be what? Barren. Look at that word barren means inactive. Meaning, so now you are actively involved in ministry as you're pouring out the godliness from within. You're not even, look at this, nor unfruitful in the knowledge. Look at what the word, this word knowledge means, recognition, full discernment of our Lord Jesus Christ. So now in this godliness, let's read that again because I think it's powerful. You're abounding more. You are not inactive. You are active. You have more of this manifestation coming out of the knowledge. You're recognizing Jesus Christ. You're discerning Jesus Christ, the son of God, in your life, and he's coming out and he's leading you, and you are walking in his steps. In case you're wondering, I knocked over my box of tissues. But continuing on, look at verse nine. But he that lackth these things is blind. What's that word mean? Opaque, as if smoke, and cannot see a far off. and hath forgotten to take. That's what that word forgotten means. That he was purged, washed off, cleansed from his old sins. That he forgot that he was saved. He was cleansed from his old sins. You see, when you are not entering to finding the secret place with the Lord, the entrance of that, to find the knowledge, guess what? You're forgetting. What is the word forgotten? To take. You're not taking your part in living life and godliness, the manifestation of that to those around you. This is why it's so important that you go learn about God, the secret place. You need to be opening up the Bible. You need to be re uh reading it, interpreting it with the Holy Spirit so that and interpreting it against scripture against scripture so that you can manifest this godliness so people can see what desire of good you have and that you're living it. It's a walking testimony is what it is. And it and then you're not blind. You're seeing you see you're being cunning. You're being aware of everything around you. That's very, very powerful. Look at verse 10. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence, speed, effort. Now, that's a different diligence than the one before. If we want, we can go back. Let's go. Let let me take the scriptures back with you. Let's go look at the diligence from the beginning. Speed and eagerness. You see that? And then diligence, speed, and effort. This is why we want to look at the word speed and eagerness. We were eager earlier. Now look, he says effort. Our effort in the word of God. Our effort. You see this? Are you getting that? Give effort to make your calling. You are giving the effort. You're opening the Bible. You're taking action. You're not inactive. You are going to in you're going into the knowledge of the word of God to make your calling and I love the word calling. The other word is invitation. You are invited to teach the word of God. You are invited to share your testimony with everyone. You are invited. This is your calling. You are invited. and election. Divine selection chosen. That's what this election. We're selected. We are elected. Chosen. Sure. For if you do these things, ye shall never fall, trip, or error. There's the scripture that tells us we can't mess up when we're walking godliness. Yet, you've got preachers teaching you we're flesh. We're going to mess up. Now, we if you're going to mess up, of course, you just start again. You're going to repent. I'm going to show you how to fix all this and how to make sure this manifests. But if it is manifesting within you and you're living this life, you should not be erring and you should not be tripping because you should be giving it to the Lord. Now, let's read the scripture without the extra words in there because I really want to make sure it's clear for you. Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you ye shall never fall. So now let's read it with the extra words. Wherefore the rather brethren give speed and effort to make your invitation and divine selection your choseness sure for if you do these things you shall never trip or air. So do you see how you should never Peter says the Bible says you should never trip or air. You should never fall. Hallelujah. Because the manifestation of the knowledge of the word of God is coming out of you in all that you do. And it is witnessing to everyone because they're seeing you not fail. They're seeing the genu. That's another thing. They see you genuine. They trust now what you are, who you are because your actions are going to be proving factual and worthy. They're going to see, hey, you went and helped that lady. I need your help. And they will be there. What can I do for you? I want to make things easier for you. I have a desire to do good for you, to do good for God, but I'm going to do it manifested in your life. You see how that works? This is how that works. Look at verse 11. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now, I know Paul talks about rewards and a lot of the scriptures talk about reward. This is alluding to that. I'm not and I'm not going to go into all of that because that's another teaching very long term. But look at how be minister unto you copiously, richly into perpetual kingdom, your royalty of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Let's read that right now. I'm going to read it with the extra words right now. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you copiously, richly into the perpetual royalty of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. Now let's read without the extra words. For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. It takes you all the way into the heavenly realm, your royalty because you are part of the royalty line now. You are adopted into grafted into the holy line, the holy lineage of Israel from David on down. You are through Christ a brother and a sister in the Lord. And now you have, look, it for so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord Savior. It it goes on for When you live in your life in godliness like this, it pays off for eternity is one way of looking at that. Verse 12, wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance. So Peter, I want to get the scripture. Peter is reminding us of this. This is something that we should already be doing and living. Obviously, I'm teaching this. We're not. So this is why he's saying I wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things. In other words, he's saying you need to be reminded of these things though you know though ye know them and be established in the present truth. See he knows you already know them. You've already was when you it's like remembering your first love when you first got saved. The manifestation of his holiness was powerful and awesome and your life changed and then it got rooted. Then all hell breaks loose. And you know, we go through that as a Christian in Christ because we have an enemy prowling like a a de lion trying to devour devour us and to destroy us. But because we know this now because we're sure we're firm in his foundation of his word, in his knowledge that look at it this way. Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye to see them and be confirmed in the at hand or to be near truth. The at hand truth. Ain't that awesome? God God is word. The word of God is absolutely amazing. You should thirst and hunger for it. And I promise you, delving into the word description and definition of each of these words makes it that much more better. Amen. Look at verse 16 and we're still in second Peter chapter 1. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables. Now, the reason I'm bringing these three scriptures in, I want you to see something here. Peter is sharing his witness testimony. Because he's a witness, we can believe his word. And that's what he's saying here. For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honor and glory. When there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, this is my beloved son. whom I am well pleased and this voice which came from heaven we heard when we were with him in the holy mount. He is testifying to this event. So in essence the scripture is asking you do you believe or not? Do you reject this message or do you accept it? Can you live a life in godliness? Absolutely. Now how because let's go to the how and see the manifestation of godliness in your life where you will not trip and fall. You will not error. You will not fall because the Holy Spirit is what's going to be leading you and guiding you and directing you in this. Amen. Starting with Romans 11:6. And if by grace then it is no more of works. Otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise, work is no more work. Now, let's read it with the extra words. And if by grace or gratitude, divine influence upon the heart, we know the word divine means the Godhead. So, this is God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit influencing our heart. This is grace. Because see, grace comes from God. Understand salvation is from the Lord. It's not us. We can't work for it. So he says it comes from God. It's coming from the divine, the Godhead influence on our heart. It's not of works. What does that word works mean? Toil. You do not have to toil. You do not have to work for your grace. God gave it to you already. It is given. Otherwise, grace is no more grace. But if it be were of works, then it is no more grace. Otherwise, work is no more work. You see, we don't have to work for it. And we don't boast for our working. to see if it was work, then some of us can be better at it than others. But it is all equal and fair as grace for everyone. Look at what it says here now in Romans 10. We're going to read verses 12 and 13. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek. For the same Lord overall is rich unto all that call upon him. Verse 13, for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Now, what I want you to see here is very, very powerful. Call upon. You need to call upon. You You're the one that's opening the Bible. You're the one who needs to call upon Jesus Christ, the son of God. You speak it. This is reaffirming it. Says, let's read it with the extra words now. For the same Lord over all is become wealthy. God becomes wealthy. Did you know that if you go to Malachi and I'll let you do some homework as I like to teach you, we are a jewelry that he's forming us into a piece of jewel that he wants to wear us. We're precious. When you look at a diamond and you want to wear your rings, your necklaces is precious. It is refined. It is beautiful. Well, that is what God is doing to us and preparing us for that. And that is what life and godliness is all about. So take a look at this. Uh he becomes wealthy. God becomes wealthy unto all that call upon him. Look what that call upon to entitle to invoke him. You invoke the name of Jesus. You call on the name of Jesus. Look at what it says. Now let's look at the extras. For whosoever invokes the name of the Lord shall be remember that word saved means safe delivered. I have a lot of people who email me on a almost daily basis now in where they're saying they're not safe. They've got things being thrown at them. Their mind is under torment. They can't sleep. They're being tortured. Well, guess what? This message is for you because look at what it says. When you invoke the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the son of God, you shall be safe, delivered. You see, saved also implies eternity. Wonderful. But safe implies the here and now in whatever situation you're feeling or being tormented about. And delivered means from the inside out. Now the manifestation of his godliness that he places in you is what comes out. That is amazing. So where am I going with this? Because now I want you to see we are talking about repentance and renouncement. Now I'm going to say something here very boldly. I've noticed this in the people I've been ministering to uh through email with the the House of Faith Ministries. Um I think all of them have always said I've repented already. I want you to understand something about repentance. Yes, repentance is wonderful. That sets your salvation in in motion. But repentance leads to salvation, leads to deliverance, leads to being safe. So when you repent again, it sets everything safe. I want you to see that. I want you to get that. This is why. Go to Job chapter one. Every time, and I I share this usually when I'm talking to someone who says that they've already repented. What Job did is when his kids would have these parties, they would forget or he he was worried. He'd be there the next morning and he'd be um sacrificing the bulls, rams, what have you. And he said, "And just in case they cursed God while they were partying," he would do that because that's how much he loved them. But it was repentance for them over again. Look at repentance. First John 1:9, if we confess, look at covenant. And it's another word. If we co covenant our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin, lay aside and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, injustice. If you think you're being treated unjustly or you know, you've you've got something going against you, it's probably because you're walking in unrighteousness, which is what injustice means. you're not walking right. You have something going against you. You're not manifesting life and godliness. So here he's saying if we confess our sins, we ascent. We realize we had a covenant with these sins. He God is faithful. Look at this. Trustworthy and just to forgive us our sins. Look at verse uh Romans 10:9 as I always use this verse. that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe to have faith in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. There's that safe and delivered. It starts with confession, repentance. So you want to live the life of life and godliness that second Peter is talking about. You want to manifest those great and precious promises from God where you do not trip. You do not air. You do not fall. You walk a life that everyone looks around you and says, "What are you doing? How did you do that?" It starts with confession. And it says you will be safe. Thou shalt be safe. Thou shalt be delivered. All that stuff comes out of you. He lay aside. He forgives you. He lay aides. He is faithful. You can trust him to do this. Do you trust him? How many people think they can lose their salvation? If they think that, they don't trust God. Next is don't do it again. You got to renounce. Look at 2 Corinthians 4:2. But have renounced. You got to disown your sins. Disown them. And I'm not going to do it anymore, Lord. This is what renouncement is all about. You are effectively saying to God's throne room, to every angel and to every demon that is listening, you are telling him, "I'm not doing it anymore." In the name of Jesus, the son of God, when you renounce, you disown that sin. You let it go. That is your action. It is a confession of the mouth. Look what it says here. But have renounced, disowned the hidden things of dishonesty. Dishonesty is a ser God hates lying. So there are levels of lying and he hates them. You have to be very cautious. If you're letting little white lies slip out to make your life easier, I promise you, you start a cycle where your life will not be easy because of the lie that you said. Not walking in craftiness. See, you're disowning this now. But have renounced, disowned the hidden things of dishonesty. not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully. Remember earlier when I said in Hosea, we're talking about being cunning and aware, not walking in craftiness. Have renounced, disowned the hidden things of dishonesty, having renounced, disowned, not walking in craftiness. Meaning, you should be walking in your cunning awareness of the word of God. You should be able to see the enemy and fully disarm him with scripture because the knowledge is one of the blessings, one of the benefits that you get to manifest in godliness. Amen. Handling the word of God deceitfully. That goes to teachers and preachers or those theologians that are writing the original like NIV version. These people, they've got a problem. They handled the word of God deceitfully. But he says when you renounce it, you let it go. You disown it. But by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. You see, now this is where we do it. We renounce it. We let it go. We don't fail. We don't fall. We don't tr trip. We don't air. But we manifest. What's that word manifest mean? We exhibit. We express of the truth. approving ourselves to every man's conscience or their perception in the sight of God. Meaning, even men will see you holy as in the sight of God and acknowledge you Previous Next Home
- PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
Say this prayer out loud: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up to Your throne the body of Christ, all of our family members, which includes in-laws and to our fourth cousins that we don’t even know, and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as them well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know, the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.” And Heavenly Father, I bless all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know with softened hearts to be able to perceive and live by Your Word because even you showed the disciples how hard their hearts were when they didn’t believe when You rose from the dead: Mark 16:14 KJV “14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” I also bless all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know with a spirit of reconciliation because that is the ministry You have given us. Let the spirit of God move forth in the hearts of our family members to forgive and reconcile their lives back to Jesus, the Son of God as Paul states in 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV “18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” I pray all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know are restored into the joy of salvation, and to the paths of righteousness as the following scriptures state: Psalm 23:3 KJV “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” Psalm 51:12 KJV “Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.” I pray that the fruit of the spirit stated in Galatians 5:22-23 KJV “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” manifests within the hearts of all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know. I pray that the gifts of the holy spirit stated in 1 Corinthians 12:7-12 KJV “7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.” would unite the body of Christ under one leadership, the Holy Spirit and that the Spirit of God moves through each of us so that we know what to pray, how to pray, when to pray, and praise the living God in all that we do. I take back my family members and atone on their behalf by saying the following: I stand in their shoes and lift their hands and my hands to the Heavenly Father saying, Lord, forgive us our sins, come into our hearts, and be our Lord and Savior as Romans 10:9 KJV says “9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” For I choose to atone and believe on behalf of my family, in-laws, and up to my fourth cousins in the Name of Jesus, the Son of the Living God. And gracious Heavenly Father, we praise You as Psalm 150:1-6 KJV says “150 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” You are praised because You are. We now walk forward in peace knowing that You and Your angels are moving behind the scenes doing what You need to do to accomplish Your will as Psalm 103:20 KJV says “20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.” In the Name of Jesus, the Son of the living God we pray in unity, Amen!PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY Say this prayer out loud: Mighty Heavenly Father, I lift up to Your throne the body of Christ, all of our family members, which includes in-laws and to our fourth cousins that we don’t even know, and I forgive them of their iniquities, the sins they have committed, the curses against them, the curses spoken from them, and the sins of the land they walk on; and I ask You heavenly Father to forgive as them well per Matthew 6:14 KJV “14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Demons, loose all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know, the Lord rebuke you per Jude 1:9 “9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I bind you with fetters of iron to the iron below my feet here on earth preventing you from interfering in all of our family members, which includes in-laws and our fourth cousins that we don’t even know ever again per Matthew 16:19 KJV “19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” And per Psalm 149:6-9 KJV “6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. - GOD THE FATHER | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
GOD THE FATHER The objective of this teaching is to help believers build a deeper trust in God as their Heavenly Father by learning to see Him apart from flawed earthly examples of fatherhood. Through Scripture, this message encourages listeners to recognize the perfect relationship between Jesus and the Father as the model for their own relationship with God, and to grow in faith, obedience, and spiritual maturity. < Back GOD THE FATHER Minister Lisa Kane July 17, 2023 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers build a deeper trust in God as their Heavenly Father by learning to see Him apart from flawed earthly examples of fatherhood. Through Scripture, this message encourages listeners to recognize the perfect relationship between Jesus and the Father as the model for their own relationship with God, and to grow in faith, obedience, and spiritual maturity. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane explores the role of God as Father, drawing from John 10:30 where Jesus declares, “I and my Father are one.” The teaching emphasizes that by knowing Jesus, believers also come to know the Father, since Christ is the living Word and the perfect example of trust and obedience. Jesus’ willingness to lay down His life in faith that the Father would raise Him again illustrates the ultimate expression of trust and relationship. Lisa contrasts the heavenly Father with earthly fathers, acknowledging that many have experienced disappointment, absence, or brokenness in human relationships. However, unlike human fathers, God patiently trains, guides, and waits for His children to return to Him, always offering love, correction, and restoration. The message highlights Scriptures such as Exodus 20:12, Proverbs 22:6, and Proverbs 3:5–6, showing how God acts as a true parent who teaches, disciplines, and blesses His children. Practical applications include trusting God beyond worldly reasoning, measuring relationships by God’s standard rather than cultural ones, and recognizing that spiritual growth is a process in which God meets His children at their level of readiness. Lisa also stresses that salvation is secure, as God’s love and patience endure while He draws people back to Himself. The message closes with a call to repentance, encouragement to pursue a genuine relationship with God through His Word, and assurance that honoring and trusting the Father leads to blessing, spiritual maturity, and eternal life. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane and recording this on Monday, July 17th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called God the Father. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for who you are. We thank you for building our trust in you. You know, I understand that we've been disappointed by role models and relationships that we've had here on the earth. Well, but with you, we can put all that aside and trust in you because you are always there even if we don't understand it. And I pray, Father God, that I can eloquently explain this message to the world on your behalf. So come through me, speak through me, you do this, Father God, and we thank you and we bless this word. We ask for your blessing on it. We thank you in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Uh I'm trying a little different background. We are here in Missouri now and I'm going to be here in this particular place for 6 months, maybe about five and a half months now. And uh so I don't have my lighting out, but this room is extremely bright. So I'm kind of hoping we have a little overcast today. Probably going to get a storm later this evening if I understand the weather correctly. Now we'll see. And then I still have this lingering cough. Pray for me in the name of Jesus. Let's get rid of this thing now. Yeah. you know. Okay, let's go to our opening scripture here. John 10:30. I and my father are one. And um this message is going to be about relationships. And I hope to build your um trust value or trust factor up with the Lord. That's my goal with this message for one and two to help you not look at God based on your worldly experiences. I want you to see God in the heavenly realm and experience him heavenly like. That's what this message is about. Amen. So, let's dig right in. So, it's called God the Father. We're going to be talking about the father role here. Now, notice though, we have an example in the word of God. Look at this opening scripture. John 10:30. I and my father are one. So, Jesus is saying that if you look at me, you're going to see my father. So if you know Jesus, you know the father. Jesus is the perfect example for us to follow in having that relationship because Jesus obviously trusted God. Let's go a little further. We're still in John 10. Now we're going to look at verses 17- 18. Therefore, my father loves me because I laid down my life that I may take it again. Pause. That very sentence is very powerful. Jesus is saying, "Yes, I'm going to go lay down my life because I know my father is going to pick me up and give it to me again. I'm going to pick it up actually." And and so let's pause for a moment. Let's let's identify Jesus, the son of God, here for a moment. I've taught on this already, so I'm just going to do a highle overview. But if you compare John 1:1 against Genesis 1 1-4, you will find that Jesus is the one who says, "Let there be light." There was light and it was good. So now Jesus has been the epiphany the whole time. This is him. The word of God is Jesus. Jesus John 1:1 I um in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus was the word. Jesus is the word. So we have the Bible today which is Jesus. So if you need to hear from Jesus, you don't have to spiritually hear. You can, but it always you need to check that voice because you don't know if a demon is talking to you. You have to be very careful. You check it against the word of God. If the word of God says exactly what you heard in your head, you know that's the heavenly father speaking to you. That's Jesus speaking to you. Jesus has been this role. So you can go back to the very beginning, you know, and I know I've been watching um on TikTok uh a true Christian ministry. I don't know the gentleman's name. I think it's Mike, but he he answers questions from people. A lot of their questions very interesting. You know, why would God create a hell? Why would God not just put all the good people on here? But see, this is what was so interesting is God chose this path. He knew what would happen. He made perfect utopia with Adam. No woman, just Adam and him. And they had this relationship and it was awesome. You go read this in Genesis 1, two, three, all the way to the end of three. And uh you can start to see when Eve comes in and then the deception. Uh you can see that God made it perfect. And what happened is Eve and Adam sinned. They disobeyed God. And the moment they did that, sin entered the picture and now everything goes corrupt. And and and I guess people don't understand that or don't want to understand. And part part of it is you have a generation today that the Bible was taken out of and they have no belief factor. And so they question everything, which is what a scientist teaches you, question everything. Well, you know, then you need to question a trust factor. Do you really trust the word of God above what scientists are telling you? Because see, scientists think they're telling you what they know. Do they really know the Earth is billions of years old? They don't know it. It's a theory. I But it's so interesting how they word it. You You could open up dinosaur books. A fact. Six million years ago, dinosaur. How do you know that? That that's not a fact. You see, you cannot trust science. But if you start with the word of God and you put that first and then you look at the evidence the earth offers, you will find truth. So now that should build your trust up a bit. So here Jesus, so when God made man in his image, he already knew. So he chose this path. So Jesus at that very moment had already been asked by his father, I need you to go lay your life down for me. Look at the scripture. Let's continue on in the scripture because this is what God had asked him. Look at this. Uh and and you know this because Jesus is telling us in his time. It's not written in Genesis. But watch this. Watch this. Says, "Because I laid down my life that I may take it again." Verse 18, "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down and I have power to take it again. this command I have received from my father. So Jesus clearly is saying, I'm doing what my father told me to do. And he said, I'm going to have my life again if I do this. And as I've taught many times when he caught up on that cross, he's thinking of every human being that's ever lived in this earth. And he says, "I'm here to save you." And he did it. He did it. He went to the cross and he died. And guess what? his body's not in the grave. He rose from the grave three days later. And this was simply his father asking him. So let's go validate what that means because this is this is very very powerful. This has an impact on you. Watch this. In Exodus 2012, one of the ten commandments is honor your father and your mother that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Now Paul reiterates it in Ephesians 6 2 and 3. Honor your father and mother. Look what he says. Which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth. Jesus fulfilled that. He honored his father. He went to the cross and said, "You commanded me to do this. I'm gonna do it, Lord. I'm gonna sacrifice my life because I know I'm going to pick it up again because you said so." He trusted his father. Now, I'm going to pause here and I'm I'm going to show you what you already know. How many of you were raised with no father? How many of you had a father that disappointed you? How many fathers or how many people had fathers that were drunks? They're men and they're sin. They're they're living in sin. But there are still many fathers who repented and did the best they could. So now in your experience, who should you look to? Now even if I, you know, I grew up with a Christian father. We became Christians when I was six years old. My father was strict, you know. He raised us properly. He taught me how to manage my money, taught me how to have that self-confidence in the world, how to navigate the world. And this is what our father should be teaching us. By the way, Godfather, our God, our heavenly father teaches us that. I'm going to kind of go into that a bit here in a minute. But I want you to see how sometimes our fathers didn't do that. Now, we may have had role models that we can follow, but there's always a disappointment factor. See, what people forget is we're in time. Time means we have a new day every day and it keeps on going till it ends, which has been prophesied it will end. God isn't in time. He is outside of time. So, if you live for God in January of 2023, but you kind of fall away for a few months, but then you come back cuz it's like a I remember my first um years as a young adult living for God. Sometimes I was on fire for God and there are other times he was the farthest thing from my mind. Months would go by without even reading my Bible or praying. And I remember identifying that and I asked God how to avoid that because I didn't want to live like a yo-yo. Now, did I lose my salvation in the midst of that? No. God was patient. You see, let's identify something here. So, if see, God is perfect gentleman. He's going to work with me. When a father is training a child, if you're training a toddler how to handle a gun, that toddler is not ready to handle a gun. So, you cannot do that. You see, you have to train them at the appropriate age that they are. So, when you are trying to train your young teenager who thinks they know everything, sometimes you have to step back and pray and leave it with the Lord's hands because they're not ready to hear anything you have to say. Right? So, in that January scenario that I just uh identified a few moments ago, if I was living for God in January 2023, let's say I'm 23 years old, just just hypothetically, and then I go five months without living for God, praying or anything, did I lose my salvation? No. Because what I did is like five months later, I said, "You know what, God, I need you." And I started again and I repent. But dad, no. God stood back because he waited for me to come back to him when I was ready in my time. That's what relationship is all about, guys. If you're trying to go ask out a a girl for a date and you're trying to see, you know, and you keep asking her, she keeps saying, "Leave me alone." Leave her alone. Pray if you want to pray. That might not be the right girl for you. But I'm going to tell you right now, you have to back off. That's what God the Father does until that person's ready to receive. This is why some people go to hell. They never want to have anything to do with God. That's their persona. That's their choice. They have that will to tell God, "Leave me alone." How many people I see it all the time on TikTok. How many people say, "Why do you force God down my throat?" We're not forcing God down your throat. The Holy Spirit is talking to you, but you keep doing this. And I'm telling you right now, he's going to back off, but he's going to remind you from time to time. Now, I know people who waited till they were in their 60s, close to retirement, when they said, "Oh, okay. Now I'll live for God." Because they wanted to in their mind, they wanted to enjoy the earth and everything it had to offer. Listen, my friend, you can enjoy Christ. You can enjoy life now with Christ at the center. You're not um withheld from anything. And if you think you want to enjoy drugs, I'm going to tell you right now, you never know when they'll take your life. This is why God teaches us not to have that. But here's this relationship factor that it it's about you. Now, this is you. This is your choice. You have to choose the right role model here. You have to choose, okay, Lord, I got to get into your word. I And and the only way you're going to know him is by reading his word. And if you think in your mind that you're stupid or dumb, I'm going to tell you right now, you are not. Because see, the Holy Spirit knows how to talk to you at your level. And you will get it. And maybe nobody else will, but you will get it. Because remember what Paul says, we know a part. Each of us know parts and God talks of uh talks to us in each of those parts. So let the Lord work with you and teach you and train you from his word. Let's continue on with the scriptures now. John 10:38. But if I do, now Jesus is talking to the Pharisees and the Sadducees. They're they're um you know complaining and blaspheing him. But if I do though you do not believe me, believe the works that you may know and believe that the father is in me and I in him. And so Jesus is taking it to the next level. He says, "I know you don't believe me. I get it." He says, "I I know you don't believe me." So he's telling the f Pharisees and Sadducees, which by the way, they reject him. They don't ever believe him. But here's the thing. He's telling them, "Even if you don't believe me, believe the works." Because he goes, "I did it because my father commanded me to do it." That's where your faith factor goes up. This is when you get to trust in the Lord because there's things and and it's all unique to each individual. I think I shared this in a couple messages ago. We were at an Airbnb about five or six days here before we moved into this place while we waited for them to get it ready. This is a brand new build here. And he we were all talking my family and I how we had prayed to God Lord I don't understand this part of scripture what what does it mean and each of us had done this at different times all on our own just talking to God and the very next day or within so many hours or within a few days each of us had an experience where either we turn the radio on the preacher starts preaching about that subject you asked God or all of a sudden you see a video and you see us teaching or suddenly somebody comes up and you guys talking about the Lord and the Lord tells you, that person tells you something and it was through the and you're sitting there going, "God answered my prayer." Believe the works. So, you see, he's telling you to believe the works. So, this is God training you how to trust him. Look at Proverbs. We got to go to Proverbs. This is important verse. Proverbs 22:6. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. So you as a parent do that and everybody looks at it from that perspective. But God as a parent does that to you. He's trying to train you up in the way right way to go. If you're 65 years old and you're re watching this video, he's still training you up in the right way to go. You got to understand time and death means nothing to God. He's just trying other than you know once you die and you keep rejecting him all the way unto death. That's an unforgivable sin. He you can't ask for forgiveness once you're dead. You have to repent here and now alive on this earth. So up until that moment that's the only thing. So God is working with you trying to reach you. And if you're getting all flustered and frustrated, stop shoving God down my throat. Listen, you're the one who has the skip, delete, no button, block button, use it. You want to reject God. Hey, that's your choice. Don't come complaining when you wake up in hell because it's too late by then. You rejected the one way you had out. And if you think that all ways get to God, let me tell you, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No man, no man comes to the father except through him. Through Jesus. So to get to him, you have to go through Jesus. That's the path. If you and you think, "No, no, no. All ways." No, no, no, no. If I lived in Los Angeles and you lived in San Diego and I told you to take the five north to get to me, and you decide to take the five south and you start heading off to Baja California and whatnot and into Mexico, are you ever going to get to my address? No. You will not get to heaven if you choose to go another way other than Jesus. You just won't. That's just the way this goes. So God is trying to train you. And Jesus, who is the son of God, who says, "You want to know the father, you got to know me because you'll know the father through me because I'm in him. He's in me. I'm doing everything he commanded me to do." If that's the case, then you need to go read about Jesus. You need to see the works that he does. And if you have been somewhat following Jesus, you go to church, but you don't see any miracles. You question that even miracles exist. You wonder, you have to ask yourself, are you asking God or are you looking to man? And this is again the relationship part. This is where you have to say, you know what, I'm not going to talk to man about this. This is a heavenly spiritual matter. I need to go talk to God. And if you think, okay, well, I don't understand and I can't hear from him. All you have to do, open up the Bible. open it up anywhere and I promise you he will speak to you. And if you need to go to the Gospel, start with the Gospel of John because then you can really see Jesus walk on the earth, do his miracles, save people, heal people, and then go to the cross to redeem us of our sins. That is what he did. And so as you begin to read though, you're going to realize your soul, your spirit is saturating the word of God and it's going to bubble out of you and you're going to find this good news that you have in you and you're going to want to share it. I'm going to tell you right now for those of you that say, "Oh, stop." The reason I want to share with you is because I found the precious, most beautiful diamond that's so rare and I want to share it with you. I don't want to keep it to myself. Jesus is life. Look at me. I'm living and I'm excited. I'm not suffering like you. I'm Watch the works in me. Watch the transformation in me. You can go look at all my videos up and even to today. Watch. They're all dated the ones that I started doing and you can see the transformation take place even in the element of teaching because that's how God works. I spend time and I want to share it with you and I'm hoping that you enjoy the messages. Get encouraged. Get lifted up. There's one guy on TikTok, I love him. He comes right around the corner. Jesus is Lord. This is a new day. And he just shouts it out. I love that. And you want to say no to that. You think a drug is going to make you feel that way? No. Because there's consequences. You might feel that way for a precious 30 minutes, but after that, oh no, there's a crash that comes that you just don't like and won't like. Oh, let's continue on with the word of God. And look at Isaiah. And and and this is what God is saying. Come, let us reason together. Come talk to me. I will answer your questions. It's right here. Look at this. Is God training us. Isaiah 1:18. Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord. I know. He says, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be wool uh be as wool." Because he's saying, "I know you're a sinner. I know you don't understand, but I want to train you. I want to have a relationship with you. I want you to trust me." He says, "Come talk to me so I can explain it to you." And he does. But if you're doing this, how can he talk to you? How can you? You're just going to keep repeating the same stupid questions over and over. Okay, no question is stupid. I know it's valid, but God will answer it, but you got to get in there and say, "Lord, I need help with this question because it's affecting me spiritually. It's affecting my walk with you. I I think gays should be loved." And then you go read John 3:16. For God so loved the world. Oh, you do love them. And then he reminds you, I don't love the sin. I love the person. and I'm trying to get them out of sin. Paul talks heavily on all of the New Testament books that he wrote. He tells you get away from sin. Run from and you will have the self-control to run from it because that's the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives you self-control. And if you have to ask the Holy Spirit, Lord, I need self-control. That's a gift of the Holy Spirit. And then see, then the Holy Spirit gets to move in you. And he does transform you. You know, I don't need a high from the world. I don't need to be out till 3:00 in the morning at a bar partying with my ears going deaf from the music. I I don't need any of that. I have the most beautiful, perfect relationship with God. You know, he he showed me go to bed around 10 or 11. Try not to stay up too late, you know. And of course, you learn this as you get a little older. I'm in my early 50s, 53 years. I'll be 54 soon. And all I can tell you is that as you do mature, you get a little older, you do change in your taste. You want to go to bed between 10 and 11. Get up between 7 and 8. Or if you have to go to work, get up between 6:00 and 7. You know, these are reasonable things. But the Lord teaches you this as you mature and when you're and this is why I was telling you God waits for you to come back to him. This is why I believe you can't lose your salvation. I mean, who do you think God is? Do you really think he's evil enough to say that in time you believed at one point in your time, but since you didn't believe at the point you died? I mean, what kind of God is that? That's not God. And that's not what's taught in the Bible. He shows you his love. He shows you his patience. He just keeps waiting for you till you return. And I want to even add an element there. He teaches you as he and he's showing you this as a believer and and and you want to judge the world. I get it. We all want to judge. But he's also teaching you to look at them with his eyes, not your eyes. If you're going to judge a person, which he's given you the ability, and he teaches you how to judge in the word of God, by the way. If you're going to judge someone, you need to judge them with facts. You don't know the facts between that person and God. And that's intimate. That's them. So, take your eyes off of them. Put your eyes on God. As Colossians 3 says, put your things on your eyes on heavenly matters between you and God. Focus on your relationship. And you know what you need to do? Pray. Pray for them. And the Lord will. And even if you don't know what to pray, speak in tones. Speaking in tonesues edifies you. Edifies your spirit. And if that's what you need to do, speak in tongues to let that judgment go, then do it. If you need to and you think you have a factual event, hey Lord, I think my family member ran away with this money, but I don't know. But I'm lifting them up to you and I'm praying for them. And I just pray that one, they repent. I pray that they find you, that they live for you, glorify you, and I pray that they are blessed and in good health. And you know, and you learn this too because God teaches you these things as you mature and you get more in him because you're living for him. You're learning more from him. And the more that you learn, you see now I I learned just what a year ago, maybe a little less than pray for my neighbors. Why did I learn this? You know, there was a lot of thief going, you know, a lot of people stealing things all over the neighborhood. I started praying and it stopped. And what was I praying? Bless them, Lord, with things that they need. If they're stealing, they either need it or they really want it. But Lord, bless them financially so they can go get it themselves and not steal it from somebody else. And then the neighborhood got better. That, my friend, is God training us, teaching us. Look at this. Proverbs 22:19. So that your trust may be in the Lord, I have instructed you today, even you. Look at that. He's telling you, I'm teaching you things today. Whether you even see it or know it, um it could be like a near miss car accident. You see that and you stop and you go, "Wow, Lord, you you did that." I there was a testimony somebody was sharing. I don't know how true this is, and it's an old testimony about a car getting into an intersection and a truck going through them and and everybody survived. I don't know again how true it is, but I do know that Lord does things like that and he does things to reach you at a level so that you finally see the heavenly realm there. Um, I was walking up the stairs. This was many, many years ago, probably about 30 years ago, give or take now. And I can hear and and this was one of those moments. God was the furthest thing from me. Remember, he waits. And I don't know what he saw in my future, but he saw something there because all of a sudden I'm hearing this little voice in the back of my head. I'm walking upstairs. Go to church. Go to church. And I'm And and this is going on in the back of my head, but I'm fighting it. What? And I turned around on the stairs to tell this voice, I don't need to. And I stopped because all of a sudden, I'm experiencing the presence of the heavenly father. and he said, "Go to church." And I did. That's when I realized the yo-yo effected and my life changed. So, every person has a personal experience with God like that. Let him train you. Let him show you. And then trust him. Look at this. Proverbs 35-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. For example, the LGBT community. There's a lot of Christians that don't understand what's going on. They're being deceived because they're saying, "You got to love me. You got to um I I got to be loved." And but what the LGBT community is saying, you have to bless my sin so I can go to God and say, "Look at how many people we got on our side. We must be right and you're wrong." Sin is sin, my friend. If you lie, that's a sin. A little white lie. By the way, God hates those more than anything else, bar none. He hates that. He hates that more than you being gay. Simple. Listen, you want to live gay, remember, God will let you be. He's going to leave you be. You want to live in sin, that's your choice. You're going to get a knock from the Holy Spirit from time to time asking you to repent. But if you want to live that way, that you you want to lie, you want to live in sin, you want to live in um carnality, sexual immorality, you want to do that, that is your choice. There are consequences to it. You see, when you live in sin, it will kill you slowly but surely. It's like marinating in the oven. Frog doesn't know he's dying when they have him on that heat until it's too late. So, but if you say, you know what, I'm going to go to God first. let me get my life right with God. I'm gonna put aside this sin and I'm gonna choose to live for him. That is what he's asking you to do. And he's trying to train you in that. He trains you on all of this stuff. This is how God works. He trains you and he protects you. He's your father. So, you know what I'm going to tell you right now? There is nothing in this world that you can be afraid of. And he tells you, do not fear. I think like 365 times in the new in the King James version, one for every day of the year. This is how God works. He's here for you. He just wants you to talk to him and he will reason with you. He will explain to you how much he loves you but doesn't love your sin. He will explain to you what carnality and sin is. Paul makes a whole bunch of lists. By the way, he talks about drunkenness. He doesn't talk about smoking. You want to smoke? Hey, have at it. But, you know, they're consequences. That's what he's talking about, though. He says, look at the consequences. You want to die, holy. Romans 6:23, the wages of sin leads to death is death. Wages of sin is death. But the second part of that verse says, the gift of God is life. You want to live a long life. Look at what Jesus did. He honored his father. And you said, "Well, he died at 33. He's eternally alive and he will be alive for the rest of his days in that body that the Lord gave him." He was spirit before that. He's now God in body. And he has all the people that want to live for him and believe in him. He has that. His an entire kingdom. He benefited. He got more than what he had before. and he's telling you, I honored my father. Do the same. And if you go back and you look at Abraham, King David, those are examples. They lived long lives. Why? Because they put God first. They said, you know, I'm going to honor my parents. And they did. You know, David had to wait many years before he became king. Even though he was anointed king early on, he waited. But he was the youngest I think of all his brothers. So he had all these role models to follow. But he went to the Lord and while he watched the sheep, he was talking to the Lord. A man after God's own heart. Oh, great example to follow. And look at this. Proverbs 35. Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in him. So here's the role model for you to follow. And that is Jesus, the son of God. He put himself out there and he honored his father and he is blessed. Now, I understand you're disappointing your parents. Your parents don't live the way you judge them to live by. So, I'm asking you to put that judgment aside. I'm asking you to pray for them, bless them, and I'm asking you to go to God. Go to Jesus, judge Jesus, and then ask yourself, which role model do you want to follow first? And I promise you, Jesus is going to lead you in the right direction. He, by the way, so I I'm going to put in a couple scriptures here. I want you to see there are all kinds of things that Jesus teaches you, God teach you that are in the word of God in which you can either train your children up in the word of God like this and use it as an example, use it with a real life application, but these are things that you want to be trained in. And if you're 70 years old and you're hearing this message, these are still things you can learn from. Look at this. And you may have already learned from it, but this goes to show you how the word of God is already teaching you. When you're ready, you come into his presence and he will teach you. Look at this. 1 Timothy 6:10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. What do you put first, Jesus or money? And in Jesus, there's other scriptures say, "Cast all that. Cast it out. Give it to God." I promise you, having the presence of God in your life is better than money. And I promise you, he will provide everything. As he says, uh Jesus says it, "If I can take care of the birds," and he does. They're well taken care of, he will take care of us. See, this is the trust factor. Now, this is where you've got to go into that trust. He teaches you these things. Look what else he teaches you. Look at this. Matthew 16:18 through9. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. He taught Jesus taught the disciples how to build a church. See, he's teaching you these things, but he's bringing you into the fold because he wants to train you up in the right way. You should go. If you want to, by the way, you know, if you choose to get saved but not live for him, hey, who am I to judge you? I'm not. Go live your life. You will be in consequences of the sins that you choose to continue to live in. But I promise you, the Holy Spirit's so nagging you. And you'll be like, "Oh, why are you reminding me of that, Lord?" Nope. I'm going to go do Hey, your choice. But I promise you, once you repent and you get back into it, you will be blessed. You are the And some of you sit here and I hear this all the time. Why do you get why are you so lucky? And I'm not. Well, I live for God. You're not there. That's the reality of the situation. So, let's continue on. He says, "And build the church." Verse 19, "And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." He's telling the pastor of the church, you have the authority to bind up the strong men demons so that people can come into the church, hear, see, and believe. Because if you bind the strong man where he can't block the hearing, can't block the seeing, Jesus clearly says you will believe because when you see it, you will believe. That's what he says. Again, he trains you up in how to do that. And it's not just pastors that can do that. By the way, I did that coming here to Missouri. And that's probably why I faced Previous Next Home

GOD IS GOOD To reaffirm the biblical truth that God alone is the source of all goodness, mercy, and forgiveness, while the devil is the source of all evil, deception, and destruction. This teaching seeks to strengthen believers’ discernment so they can distinguish between God’s loving discipline and the enemy’s attacks, stand firm in God’s promises, and respond in faith and trust when trials or end-time events unfold. GOD IS GOOD Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To reaffirm the biblical truth that God alone is the source of all goodness, mercy, and forgiveness, while the devil is the source of all evil, deception, and destruction. This teaching seeks to strengthen believers’ discernment so they can distinguish between God’s loving discipline and the enemy’s attacks, stand firm in God’s promises, and respond in faith and trust when trials or end-time events unfold. Synopsis: The lesson emphasizes the foundational truth that God is good and the devil is bad. Using Psalm 86:5 and John 10:10 as central texts, it explains that one of Satan’s greatest deceptions is convincing people to blame God for evil. Jesus clarified that abundant life flows only from God, while destruction originates from the enemy. The teaching highlights that simplicity is key: God, our Father, is the originator of all good, while Satan is the father of lies and evil. By discerning the “resources” from which works originate, believers can distinguish between the fruit of God and the works of the enemy. Trusting God’s goodness is essential, especially as end-time events approach, when fear and chaos will test hearts. Believers are urged to unite their hearts in faith, allowing the Spirit to perfect God’s love in them, which casts out fear. Salvation unites soul and spirit so that even when the soul feels fear, it can rest in the Spirit’s assurance of God’s promises. The teaching underscores that God’s will for His people is peace, hope, and a future, and that He is abundant in mercy toward all who call on Him. Ultimately, the response to God’s return—whether fear or joyful expectation—depends on whether we truly believe in His goodness. The call is to trust Him wholeheartedly, reject the deception of the world’s system, and anchor our lives in the unshakable truth that God is good, all the time. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 86:5 “For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, and abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.” The greatest accomplishment perpetrated against humanity by the devil, is getting people to blame God for the evil that the devil does. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” Jesus makes it abundantly clear: God is good and the devil is bad. It sounds like a very simple preposition, but there is not a single one of us who have not thought at least once, that God was punishing us when something bad happened to us. We are living in a day when the line between good and evil is so blurry, that we need to return to the basics in order to understand what is going on all around us. Matthew 6:9 “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven…” Simplicity is the key that keeps us from getting confused: I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. The word father means originator. God is our Father in heaven from whom all good things originate. John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Jesus uses the word resources to identify that which flows out of, and originates from the word father. That is why it's so critical that we understand that only God is good, and that He is the source of all good. And that the devil is the father of all lies, and the source of all evil. Mark 10:18 “So Jesus said to him, ‘Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is God.’” The Jews of Jesus’ day knew the basic principle that only God is good, so when a man came and knelt before Jesus and called Him a good teacher, Jesus responded by saying to him, Are you calling Me God? Of course, the man witnesses the good works that Jesus was doing, so he called Him good. But Jesus wanted to make sure that His disciples understood this principle: that only God is the source of all good. We know that Jesus is the Son of God, so He is good also. It is only when we are able to identify who the sender is from the resources he is bringing, that we will be able to discern the difference between the work of God and the work of the devil. Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits…” So far everything sounds very simple but is critical that we get the basics of this spiritual principal, that is, if we want to be able to discern the truth and keep ourselves from being trapped by the end-time deception that we are warned about—is coming— in the Word of God. Here is what I am talking about! Psalm 86:7 “In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.” How can we know that God will deliver us when we call on Him, if deep within our heart we blame Him for our troubles? Although there is a personal application here, our focus in this lesson is about the soon return of Jesus to take us home. In our opening text we are told: Abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. This is a reference to those who will call upon the Lord during the shaking of the heavens and the earth, as our Lord returns. Acts 2:20-21 “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” I often ask this question of my readers, In the midst of the sun turning into darkness and the moon turning red as blood, would you see Jesus coming to save you or to judge you? The answer depends on whether we see God as good and the only good, or whether we have doubts about His love and commitment toward us. In a time of crises our initial response is a reactive one. And it will reflect that which we firmly believe deep within our hearts. Do we run from or towards? If deep within our hearts we believe that Jesus is coming to rescue us, no matter how great the chaos all around us is, the more diligence we will employ in calling to Him, for we know that He is: Abundant in mercy to all those who call upon Him. But if we are not sure, our instincts will betray us, since His love and His goodness has not been perfected in us yet. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” How do we get to the place where His perfect love casts out all my fears? For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive. In order to personally know that God is good, we need to know deep within our hearts that He has completely forgiven us all of our sins. No sin, no judgment, no torment, right? Jesus came to give us life, and abundant life! The devil does not come, except, to steal, to kill, and to destroy. If no evil resource can come from our Father who is in heaven, and if no goodness can come from the father of lies and murder, is there a way to know the difference between when I am being disciplined by God and when I am being attacked by the enemy? Psalm 86:11 “Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; unite (singleness of heart) my heart to fear Your name.” Salvation gives us access to our Father in Heaven, who gives us His Holy Spirit, in order for us to learn how to walk in His ways. His ways are simple, God is good and He wants to do good to us. Jeremiah 29:11-12 “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” Calling upon God and knowing that He will hear us, is based on our belief of this fact, that God wants to do us good and not harm. 1 John 5:14 “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” What is His will for us? Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. All that is left is for us to unite our hearts to fear His name. How do we do that? We make a conscious choice to receive the things of God’s kingdom, and to reject the things of this world system. 2 Corinthians 4:4 “Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” Since we all got saved out of this world system, we were all once blinded by the god of this age and mired in its corruption. Both our souls and our spirits make up the heart that needs to be united. Our spirit man was reborn the day that we got saved, and bears witness from the Spirit of God, that we have been delivered from fear of the torment of God’s final judgment. Our souls are still in the process of salvation, and will continue on that process until we die or the Lord returns to take us home. 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end (goal) of your faith—the salvation (unification of soul and spirit) of your souls.” The idea is that our souls—which are still connected to our human senses—are so interwoven with our spirit-man, that when it perceives fear from the world around it, instead of fret, they turn to the rest in which our spirit-man resides, which is in the Holy Spirit who continuously reminds it of God’s faithfulness to His promises. Psalm 86:2 “Preserve my life, for I am holy; You are my God; save Your servant who trusts in You!” Notice how the spirit-man intercedes for the soul to which is firmly united: Preserve my life (soul), for I am (the spirit-man is) holy. What is it that connects the two? Save Your servant who trusts in You! Trust in the Word of God, in the goodness of God, and in the good promises of God to us. If the Lord returns this year, and according to Scripture before He appears, the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, how will you react to the coming cataclysm? How you react will depend on whether you have a united or divided heart when He returns. As long as it is called today, you can still do something about it. I hope this lesson helps you make the right choice. Hebrews 4:7 “Again He designates a certain day, saying in David, ‘Today,’ after such a long time, as it has been said: ‘Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.’” Previous Next Home

WHICH SIDE OF BELIEF ARE YOU ON The purpose of this message is to challenge listeners to examine where their faith truly stands—whether rooted in the physical and limited by doubt, or anchored in the spiritual with trust in God’s power. The teaching aims to strengthen believers’ understanding of how unbelief hinders God’s miracles, while faith opens the door to His supernatural works. It encourages self-reflection, prayer, and reliance on the Word of God to grow from doubt into strong, active belief. < Back WHICH SIDE OF BELIEF ARE YOU ON Minister Lisa Kane September 9, 2023 Objective: The purpose of this message is to challenge listeners to examine where their faith truly stands—whether rooted in the physical and limited by doubt, or anchored in the spiritual with trust in God’s power. The teaching aims to strengthen believers’ understanding of how unbelief hinders God’s miracles, while faith opens the door to His supernatural works. It encourages self-reflection, prayer, and reliance on the Word of God to grow from doubt into strong, active belief. Synopsis: Lisa Kane begins the message in Mark 5, where Jesus raises Jairus’ daughter from the dead despite ridicule and unbelief from the surrounding crowd. She contrasts those who mocked Jesus with those who trusted Him, showing how belief determines outcomes. Drawing parallels to Israel’s unbelief in the wilderness (Psalm 106), she illustrates how misplaced desire and complaining led to forfeited blessings and lost opportunities. The teaching emphasizes that unbelief has consequences, while faith allows access to God’s promises. Lisa explains how Jesus intentionally surrounded Himself with disciples who believed when performing miracles, highlighting that our level of faith affects the breakthroughs we experience. The message also explores Mark 9, where a desperate father admits both belief and unbelief, showing that honest dependence on Jesus can invite His help to strengthen our faith. Throughout, Lisa reminds believers that miracles are not only biblical history but present realities, urging them to build faith through Scripture, prayer in the Holy Spirit, and testimonies of God’s works. She stresses that confession of Jesus’ Lordship brings salvation, deliverance, healing, and victory over sickness and bondage. The message concludes with a call to unlearn worldly limitations, embrace trust in Christ, and boldly step into the authority God has given His children—choosing the side of active belief rather than unbelief. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Which Side of Belief Are You On? Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. Lord, let your word not return void, but let it bring in the harvest. Let people hear and see, receive and believe and live your word in the glorious, absolutely wonderful name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to start off in Mark 5:40. And they ridiculed him. But when he had put them all outside, he took the father and the mother of the child and those who were with him and entered where the child was lying. Okay. So what I want to do is I want to show you a point of view of do you see things with your eyes in the physical? Do you see things with your eyes in the spiritual? And as you can see here, this group of people, we're going to be delving into this event that happened where Jesus raises this little girl from the dead. Uh they ridiculed him. They didn't believe him. But you got to ask yourself why. You know, you know, they should have believed too because if you go back, I mean, even at their time when Elisha was buried and they another man had died and they put his bones on top of Elisha's bones, that man came alive. And the only reason I I laugh is because there's a story and I'm going to digress and share this little quick story with you and then we'll delve right into the scripture here. But a man and his wife and his mother-in-law went to Israel for a holiday. And uh the mother-in-law passes away while in Israel. And uh the coroner says, "Well, we can ship her back to the States for $5,000 or we can bury her here for $200." And he says, "Okay, we'll ship her back." And he's like, "Well, wait a minute. You're in the Holy Land. This is the Holy Land, you know." And he's like, "Yeah, yeah, I know." He says, "We'll ship her back." And he's like, "Mask? Why?" He says, "Oh, man. You bury her here, she might come back from the dead like Jesus and the bones of Elisha or the the person that was put on the bones of Elisha. Anyways, he didn't want to risk it. I just thought that was funny because it's just so applicable to what we were talking about today. So, he believed obviously and and you know there you know it's a matter of what you believe in and where your eyes are, you know. So, what I'm going to do with this teaching is try to get you to look beyond the physical and see what Jesus can do before you decide to ridicule him like this group of people, you know. And and another thing I really want you to see here is I want you to understand what the consequences of the lack of your belief is. Look at here. The Israelites in Psalm 106:24-25. Then they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word, but complained in their tents and did not heed the voice of the Lord. If you go look at the Israelites testimony, they were in the wilderness for 40 years. Everyone 21 years or 18 years, I think it's 21 years and younger enter the promised land. Anyone older did not. And it was because of this. They had mana, food, angel food from heaven given to them. And they were wanting their onions back from the Egyptians when they were in bondage. And because their want and their desire was on the past and they were looking back at their bondage but only seeing what they thought was good. They weren't looking at the good in the moment. Look at the consequence. They despised. Did you see this? They despised the pleasant land that they were going to be going. So they never did get to it. They never entered it. Why give it to them if you're going to complain about it? So they got their wish. So here again, I'm trying to show you where your eyes are so we can get the heart right with God. Amen. So let's go look at Mark 5. Let's look at the whole thing in context. And you know, let me do a refreshing reminder here before we delve even deeper into this. Judge my teaching. Yes, you heard me correctly. Let me repeat that. judge my teaching. You have a responsibility to test what you hear as a believer in Christ or even as an unbeliever. You have to sit there and know what you're hearing. Does it sound right? Is it within context? Is there truth to it? Does it make you feel something on the inside? And if you're struggling with any of that or or this just does not appeal to you, whatever, you need to take it to God. You need to say there's something wrong with her teaching or you need to say what's wrong with me, Lord, and I can't understand her. Maybe you should do both. And then the third is uh you know what, sometimes the teaching is really good, Lord. Hey, that was a great teaching. And then pray for the ministers. You need to be praying for us. all of us ministers, teachers, leaders that that uh share the word of God. You need to be sharing. You need to be praying for each and every one of us. So, get in there and pray. Seriously, get in there and pray. That doesn't mean you come and harass me after you've determined I made a mistake. No, what you do is you go to God. I promise you, he will show me. And if you take a look at all of my past uh teachings and and I've misqued Joel 2:32. I was quoting it as Joel 21:13 I think for a long time there or at least a few messages and the Lord showed me and I got it corrected but I'm not going to go back and correct a past teaching the context is still really good I'm not or the content is still really good so please understand teachers ministers leaders we grow and as we grow we learn more from the word of God so pray for us I haven't done one of those reminders in quite a while okay let's go look at this Jesus raises this little girl from the dead. Okay, so Mark 5:36, as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, okay, so pause here for a minute. Give you a little background. The ruler of the synagogue knew his daughter was sick. So he goes running to Jesus. He heard about Jesus. He heard he was healing the sick. He decides to run after him, try to get his attention. He He's Jesus is surrounded by a huge crowd. I mean, they're thronging him big time and he's trying to get through. In the meanwhile, people from his household came and said, "Hey, don't bother the master. Don't even talk to him anymore. Your daughter is dead." Jesus heard that, and this is where he is. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid. Only believe." Pause. Only believe. So, how do you believe in something? Now here this ruler of the synagogue had heard about Jesus and knew something was up. Now uh just to kind of give you a quick view of what she is uh raised from the dead. So obviously he believed Jesus can't perform miracles when the lack of belief is there. You can go look that up in all the gospels in his hometown. Uh even in this place where he is right now in this whole Mark chapter five area. He is he he cast out that demon, the legions and he um the people got so scared when he went across to the other side and when he got over there they heard about what happened here and they told him you need to leave. So they got scared and their lack of um their lack of belief their unbelief is what prevented them from having miracles. But as soon as he got back to the other side, here he is now raising this little girl from the dead. He's going to heal the woman with the issue of blood uh that she had for 12 years. This girl that he raises from the dead is 12 years old. The the significant of the number 12 plays a huge role in here. I'm not delving into the teaching of the numbers here. My dad has taught on that and there's teachings uh in House of Faith Ministries or you can find it from other uh ministers out there. But here he's telling this ruler of the synagogue, don't be afraid, only believe. So here, this ruler of the synagogue hears him and sum things up. So let's continue on with this event. And he prevented no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. Now, why would he only take so many of his disciples? Every person has a level of belief. You know, if you go look at uh Thomas after Jesus was raised from the dead, he didn't want to believe till he could put his fingers into the holes and the side of Jesus. He doubted. So notice, you know, you don't see Jesus grabbing him. He's getting the ones he knows believes. So now he's gathering a group of people who are believers in raising someone from the dead because he needs that to raise this. By the way, Jesus can raise anyone from the dead any which way. But he's trying to teach his disciples and any minister of the word of God where we could perform these miracles and get them up from the grave. He's trying to show us how to do it because we're not God. We're not Jesus. We don't say let there be light and there's light. We can't do that. We have limitations. Jesus doesn't. But he's showing us in the limitations how to get beyond the limitations. And here you can clearly see he's bringing believers around. In verse 38, then he came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue who and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. Now, this still goes on today, but in the Middle East, when someone passes away, it becomes a huge to-do. In fact, they have professional whalers. You can hire someone to come in and whail at your house when you pass away. This is something that they do out there. Well, Jesus walks into this with his group of people that he brought with him. And when he came in, he said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping." And look at this. and they ridiculed him. They didn't believe. So now Jesus is coming into this state of unbelief. How many ministers are you're teaching the word of God and you've you're trying to teach something spiritual that you your level of belief is way up here but the person listening their level of belief is way down here. It becomes challenging. But look what Jesus did. He said, "But when he had put them all outside, so he took all those unbelievers, sent them outside, says, "You go out here, you know, and he he's taking control of the situation." So he's grabbed the father, the mother, the of the child and those who were with him, those are the disciples that he selected and entered where the child was lying. That was our opening scripture. Then he says he then he took the child by the hand and said to her to Lethkakumi which is translated little girl I say to you arise. Immediately the girl arose and walked for she was 12 years of age and they were overcome with great amazement. Now not everyone responds the same way and I really want to point this out here while we're here. So take a look at the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the Herodians. They saw the same miracles as these people did and they thought he was filled with a demon, a devil, be elabub. So, everybody has their own opinions and what have you. But where's your belief? Because now I'm going to ask you a very personal question. Do you believe that someone could be raised from the dead? You might be thinking, "Well, that might have been done in the past. It might have been done in the Bible, but they can't do it anymore today. I promise you, those miracles are still happening. You're just not hearing them. You're not seeing them. You're not looking in the right place. But I will tell you this, it starts with you trusting in God. It does start with trust. How do you get to this point where your level of belief can change? Because that's what you need to look at now. Are you are you going to continue to believe that no one could be raised from the dead? That's a very good question. You have to realize some point in your life, you heard these things. They have to be real. Somewhere along the road of life, you've got to realize this could happen in my lifetime. Maybe I could raise someone from the dead. You know, as a believer in Christ, when you start to walk with God, I mean, Peter walked on water with Jesus. I know I've tried walking on water. By the way, I failed every single time. But that doesn't mean my level of belief says I can't. I know someday maybe I can. Even uh Martha when he raised Lazarus from the dead. I know we'll all be together in our kingdom at the end here. And he's like, but you got to believe here and now. And you can see even I have my limitation. So how do we get our belief to go from here to here in the now? So let's continue on. Let's look at another event here. Mark 9 uh 21- 27. So we're further along in the book of Mark. So he asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" That's Jesus talking. The father brings a child over to him. And this child is convulsing. The body is thrown into fire. The body is thrown into water. They have to pull him out to save him. Otherwise, this demon that he's possessed with is going to try is trying to kill him. And it's a deaf and dumb mute type of demon. So Jesus is asking the father, "How long has this been happening?" And he said, "Well, from childhood and often he has thrown him both into the fire, into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." I'm gonna pause there before we finish the event of this um casting of this demon. All things are possible if you believe. If you believe you can fly, all things are possible. It's what Jesus said. Where's your belief? And I'm gonna tell you right now, all of us are hesitating because how far can I take that belief? Sure, I believe eternity. I'm saved. I'm a Christian. He's got me. He's getting me to heaven. But what can I believe in now today that wow will take us to whole new heights and levels. All things are possible to him who believes. Now let's look at what Jesus does here. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief." Well, there's an oxymoron, right? You know, a contradictory statement. I believe and then help me with my unbelief. In other words, he's saying, "Listen, I went to you. I found you because I heard you're the one who can raise people from the dead. I heard you're the one who can cast out demons and you've been doing it all this time. So, I believe." But then he's also saying, "I haven't seen it personally and I really truly don't know, but I'm asking you to help me with my unbelief." Oh, so now you look at this belief and unbelief situation. This man literally identified himself in the very moment I'm talking about here. So your eyes on the heavenly things where you see spiritual things or are you like it looking in the physical? My car is broken down. It's going to take weeks. I have to get the money for it. I have to do this. But do you believe that it can be fixed now? Or do you believe it's not even broken? You know, when my family moved from um really southern part of uh California, the Wilmington area over there, and they moved to the uh Riverside area, the night of the day, the late afternoon is the last man leaving, my father. He shares his testimony. Car would not start and then he would get it to go. He'd be able to go um you know, a few hundred feet or so. it would break down. It was like something was just keeping him back from leaving. So he knew, he was praying. He kept turning it on, kept going, got onto the freeway. Once he passed the LA County line, car ran fine. There was nothing wrong with the car. Do you believe? Where's your belief? Where's your unbelief? For that matter, do you ask Jesus to help you with your unbelief? That's very important here. This man is saying, "Okay, I need you to fix my son. I am seeing my son go through this torment and I do not want him to go through that because he is my son. I want him saved. He We've had to take extreme measures to take care of him. But you're here because I heard. So, I'm believing and yet I'm asking you to help me with my unbelief." Where do you stand with Jesus? Do you talk to him? Because I'm going to tell you right now, you don't see him. You can't see him. But the moment you talk to him, you're talking in faith to a being that you don't even know for sure exists until you start talking. And then when you see him move in your life, you're like, man, he's real. And your level of belief goes up and up. So let's continue on. So when Jesus saw that the people came running together, so now he's got a huge crowd coming up here. He's, you know, going to cast out this demon. this crowd's coming. He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter him no more." Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, "He is dead." Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. So the demon came out of him. The child is now clean. Now, I'm going to add an element here that I want you to see. So, with the girl that he rose from the dead, Elisha was rose, excuse me, Lazarus was rose from the dead. The bones that were laid on Elash, Elisha was rose from the dead. When Jesus came rose from the dead and the graves opened, according to Matthew, a lot of graves open, a lot of people came out of the dead. Every single one of these people had to die again because everybody's appointed to die at least once. Hebrews 9:27. So because everybody has to die again. We have to come to the realization of the power and the authority that Jesus has and others. I've seen others raise people from the dead. I've seen it on videos. I and I've heard very good testimony that I trust and believe. So it happens but then that person does eventually die. Friend of ours, she wrote, she got her husband, he had a heart attack, she grabbed and said, "No, you're not dying now." And he lived. He lived for several more years and then he passed on. So they do pass away again. So raising someone from the dead, I want you to have that concept to realize it's the here and the now. for you in your authority you have with God. And and I'm sure what this does to your belief level now, like, well, wait a second. Do I really want that power and authority? Well, think about it this way. We're told we can live a long old life as long as we put God first, do his commandments first, seek his presence. I've been teaching on this for many, many teachings. You can go check all that out. We're told we can have that. We can do that. So that means I've got to follow the commandments of the Lord. I can live a long life. David lived so to such an old age that he had to have they hired a a virgin girl to lay and warm him up at night and cover him with the blankets to keep him warm till he passed on in his old age. So he was blessed with old age. We're we can be blessed with old age. So yes, we can will eventually die. But if someone dies prematurely, yes, we should bring them back from the dead because they were promised to live a long life. You see, now your level of belief should be going up because this is your power and authority as a believer in Christ that you can do this, which means infirmities. You can cast them out. You can get rid of sickness. You don't have to be sick. And I'm trying to teach this freedom in being a believer in Christ. Why? because that's the promises that we have. Go back to what Jesus said. Look it. Jesus said to him in verse 23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." So you can be not sick, you don't have to ache, you don't have to take pills. Your level of belief has to come from here to here. Which means you have to unlearn some things. We were grow raised and grown in a community where you get sick, you call the doctor, you go visit the doctor, he gives you a pill and you feel better. Takes care of the symptoms. It doesn't take care of the root cause. Sometimes these symptoms continue to repeat and you have to repeat taking pills. Hence the pharmacy industry and its multibillion dollar industry. It's because that's what we were taught as kids. We have to unlearn that and realize Jesus is our healer. Where's your level of belief? See, the devil's done a great job to bring your level of belief down. He's done a great job in the Western Hemisphere to keep you from realizing that we can cast out demons, that we can uh raise people from the dead. He's done all that and he's done an excellent job. Continue here. Look at Jude in verses 20- 21. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. How do you keep your level of belief up? Right here, building yourselves up on your most holy faith. You have to keep talking to Jesus. That's your faith. Jesus, where are you? He's right here. And he keeps telling me, my Bible's over there. I was going to grab it. He keeps talking to me through the Bible and I keep reading it because I want to hear more about him. I want my level of belief, my level of faith to go up. So, I keep building it up every single day. Look at this. Praying in the Holy Spirit. I, you know, when you get baptized, you're filled with the Holy Spirit. That's when the Holy Spirit fills you up when you get water baptized. And that's when you can go into ministry. So you've got to keep the Holy Spirit in you talking. You just keep talking with God. Speak in tongues. The the word of God is complete and tells you everything. And you need to keep coming back to it to continue to build yourself up so that your faith goes up so that when you see them pushing a new drug, you don't fall for the hype of it all. You because you would already be healed. you'd be in the presence of God going, "Man, you know, I'm not sick. I have been." And you know what? I'm going to tell you this much. If you got symptoms of whatever it is, and you you haven't been healed of that yet, I promise you that if you're a believer in Christ and you're spending time with the Lord and you just haven't been healed of that yet, and I'm a walking testimony of this, I promise you that if you would, he will take you all the way to the end of your days, old life, all the way to the end of days with that same thing. It will not go any further than where where you're at. Now, you can reverse it once you believe, but you got to believe. All things are possible when you believe according to Jesus. So, let's look at this belief. How do we believe? It becomes it's a trust issue. Now, look at Ephesians 1:12 and 13. That we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of his glory. In him you also trusted after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. In whom also having believed, look at that. Having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Once you became a believer in Christ, you confess Jesus. You said, Jesus, you know, I'm sorry I messed up. You took a leap of faith. And that is trust. And because you did that, you're aware. See, inside each of us, there is a knowing that we know that there is God and he exists. He's right here with us. And we may deny it. We may want to rebuke it. We may want to walk away from it. But the reality is it's there and it's truth. It's a faith though, a trust that you have to build into so that you can take your level of unbelief to belief to take your eyes off of, oh, well, you know, those those people that ridiculed Jesus, we knew. No one comes back from the dead. They should have known. They should have seen what happened when those bones were laid on Elisha. It was a story of old. Obviously, they hadn't seen it in their lifetime. And obviously, they hadn't heard that story or they didn't believe that story. One of the two. And they ridiculed him. They didn't even want to give him a chance. They were just like, "We know what's right. We know no one comes back from the dead. We know. Do you really? Do you really know everything? You're not God. Humble yourselves. Realize that. Hey, am I putting my limitations on God and what he can do? Yes. When you think you know something, you're limiting God and his capabilities. God created the heavens and the earth. And because he did that, he can do anything. If he wants me to turn blue, he can make me blue. He wants me to not breathe ever again but keep me alive. He can do that because he's the creator, the almighty powerful one. Now, does he do that? No. Uh but he could if he wanted to. Which means if he wants to bring somebody back from the dead, you better believe it he can. Especially when he's made his promises to say that you the believer who trust and walk in faith and spend time with me and have a relationship with me and you are righteous in me then you will live a long life. He has promised that that is in his scriptures homework. Go check it out. Go check it out. Look at what faith is. Hebrews 11 1-3. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. You see, you hear testimonies, and if you're not hearing testimonies, your faith isn't moving. You see, you've got to hear the testimonies. You got to go out and look and find them. Yes, you need to go search. Go find them. There are testimonies. If you're gathering around in your Bible studies at your church or you're going to your church, churches are starting to share the testimonies because they're realizing how powerful it is. It's got to take the level of belief from here to here. Why? We have a generation right now that remember they took the Bibles out of school, they took prayer out of school. These kids do not know God. So in order to get them back to God, they got to hear the testimonies and they're going to be like, "Really? Really?" Nah. But they hear it. It starts the act to activate the faith in them. By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Didn't I just say that God is the creator of heaven and earth? And because he created that, like I said, if he wanted me to live without breathing, he can make me live without breathing. That is God. And because he, the word of God framed it and put that in context for me, it helps me take my level of belief from here to here. Meaning that if I'm dealing with some kind of sickness, just because I can't get rid of it at that moment, doesn't mean it's going to be prosperous. It doesn't mean it's going to be fruitful. It doesn't mean it's going to hold me back because God is in control. And if he wants me to continue living, he wants me and he does, then I will continue on moving on until he's ready to take me home. When I'm ready to finally be done with that sickness and disease, then God is right there with me and he will hold my hand and he will walk me through it. And I'm telling you, I'm a walking testimony personally in that area. framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. So faith is something you can't see. So the moment you start talking to God, guess what? You can't see him. Look at this. I want you to see something because Romans describes this perfectly that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, this is Romans 10:9 and 10. And believe in your heart. So confess with your mouth. So the moment you speak at Lord Jesus, you see every sickness that you're dealing with, you say Jesus, you are Lord over cancer. Jesus, you are Lord over asthma. Jesus, you are Lord over allergies. Whatever it is that you're dealing with, the moment you confess, Jesus is Lord. Same thing with your salvation. You said, "Jesus, I'm sorry I messed up." You said, "Jesus, I'm sorry." Go back to the thief on the cross. Jesus saved that man just from acknowledging his guilt and saying to Jesus, "Remember me." He talked to Jesus and Jesus saved him. So your eternity is saved. The moment you say, "Jesus, I'm sorry." Now, when you say, "Jesus, I declare Jesus over whatever sickness it is." Look what he says. And believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead. Well, how do you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead? Jesus, I know you're there. I can't see you. You see, that's your act of faith. And the moment you are acting that faith, you're believing in Jesus that you can't see, but you know that God raised him from the dead because he's not dead. You see the level of belief now goes from here to here is building. Look what he says. Raise him from the dead, you will be saved. Another word for saved is delivered. You will be out of that sit. You're free. The moment you believe that Jesus is alive. He came out of the grave. You are free. You no longer have to live in bondage. The devil tells you otherwise, but you don't have to live in bondage. You're not even sick anymore. You just don't know it here yet. Mind over matter. I've done teachings on this. Go back to my old teachings. But look what he also says because he goes further and and and explains it more. For with the heart one believes into righteousness. You see all of a sudden now when Jesus forgives you, you're righteous. Jesus says you're righteous. Means you have the blessing of long life. Meaning sickness can't touch you. Isn't that amazing? And you and you just got to believe it. But the moment you talk, you're you're automatically believing it. You just haven't manifested it yet. You can look what the next part says. I'm with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation or deliverance. Because the moment you speak, so the every time, you know what? Every time you say, "Jesus, you are Lord over this bum knee." No, Lord, I'm not going to call it a bum knee anymore. Jesus, you are Lord over this knee, and it is perfect. And you keep saying it over and over over my neck, over my shoulder. You say the name of Jesus. You know what? I had dealt with depression 30 plus years ago. And that was what I was doing. I once I realized I had to ask the Lord, what what's going on with me here? And he showed me. And once I got that realization, I shut that door. I said, "No, no, no. Depressing depression be gone." And I said, "In the name of Jesus, you will not be of in this life, in this body. I will not deal with depression because I am not a depressed individual. And people think I'm animated and excited and always smiling. Why? Because I took that evening and I went after it with the name of Jesus. And yet I did it over and over and over again. I went to bed even thinking it sleeping going into my sleep that night like that. I woke up the next morning. I'm going to tell you, man. I w I that that depression was gone there. You feel the difference. Anyone who's dealt with depression knows what I'm talking about. Big difference. You feel light. You You feel free. Now, I felt like I had been in a punching match. You know, my body had been hit all over the place, but I wasn't depressed anymore. And I never been since. Tries to creep in every once in a while, but I recognize it. And I say, "Nope, I already kicked your butt. Get out of here." And it leaves. It has to because I've dominated and I overcame. Because I'm more than a conqueror. I'm an overcomer. and I did that. You are an overcomer. Jesus has given you these blessings. Why? Because you're spending time with him. You put him first. Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. You get to have all these. So, first, if you're not spending time with the Lord, which I've been preaching on, so I'm assuming if you're watching this video, you're spending time with the Lord. If not, get into it and start your routine. And then here's the best part of it. Cuz you're doing that and the Lord changes you. By the way, you your mentality changes in your relationship with him. You have a boldness and a confidence where you can go to him and say, "Uh, this shouldn't be bothering me. Why is it happening, Lord?" And you name you say, "I'm putting the Lord Jesus over this and I'm casting it out and giving it to you, Lord." And I promise you, you will see God move in your life and your level of belief will go from here to here. And it is amazing. So yes, if the Holy Spirit convicted me, if I'm in a situation where I see somebody dying prematurely for whatever reason, I'm gonna grab him and say, "Stand up in the name of Jesus." That is the authority that you have as a believer and you need to get your level of belief from here to here. Notice what that father of that child that was demonposses Previous Next Home

I AM THE WAY The objective of this teaching is to lead believers into a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). It emphasizes that Jesus not only provides the path to salvation but also offers continual progress, deliverance, healing, and restoration for those who follow Him. The goal is to encourage listeners to walk in the authority, prescriptions, and commandments of Christ, applying His word and promises to every area of their lives. I AM THE WAY Minister Lisa Kane November 10, 2024 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to lead believers into a deeper understanding of Jesus Christ as the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane unpacks the powerful declaration of Jesus in John 14:6: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” The teaching highlights that Jesus is more than just the access point to God—He is our ongoing progress, the truth that sets us free, and the life that sustains us. Through His obedience to the Father and His completed work on the cross, believers are redeemed, reconciled, and empowered to walk in the same authority He carried. Lisa explains how trials, persecution, and daily struggles can weigh on the soul, but the prescription Jesus gives—faith, obedience, repentance, and reliance on His name—brings victory and deliverance. Scriptures such as Psalm 35:3 and Romans 10:9 are used to show how confession and declaration of Jesus as Lord establish healing, freedom, and breakthrough. She also reminds believers of the importance of holy communion, dwelling in God’s presence, and obeying Christ’s commandments as the ongoing prescription for health and wholeness. The message weaves together biblical teaching, personal testimony, and practical application. It encourages believers to call on the name of Jesus in every area—health, finances, relationships, and spiritual growth—knowing that His Spirit dwells within us. Lisa urges listeners to embrace their identity as joint-heirs with Christ, walk in deliverance from sin and sickness, and live abundantly as a testimony to God’s glory. Ultimately, this teaching stirs faith, awakens revival, and calls for a renewed commitment to Jesus as the only way, the eternal truth, and the source of everlasting life. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, November 10th, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Let your word not return void. And I pray that what we receive today in your word just ministers to our heart that it never leaves. that we know what your presence is. That we know what you have done for us. That we recognize it and honor and respect respect who you are and the prescriptions that you've given us to stand in good health with you to stand in good faith with you. to have faith, Father God, to lift you up, to bless you, to march as a saint of your army and to take back what belongs to us in the name of Jesus. Because you are a God who restores, who reconciles and we know this, Father God, and we are asking for your reconciliation. We are asking for a spirit of revival. We are asking for a spirit of repentance. We are asking for the spirit of truth to be within us, Father God, to manifest out of us. and manifest into all those around us. In the name of Jesus, we pray that your word go forth. Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Amen. Oh, I'm very excited about this teaching. Actually, I haven't even practiced it or or rehearsed it, but I know this is from the Holy Spirit, and so good. Okay, so we're going to call this I am the way. Let's go to our opening scripture here in John 14:6. Jesus saith unto him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me." Now, as a reminder, when I teach, I teach using the King James version scripture. So, when you see a word in bold, that's the word that the King James version translators chose. The words in uh parentheses come from the Strong's Hebrew or Greek dictionary. And there are other words that could have been used in lie of the bolded word. So, so I am the way. Oh, look at what the word way means. Word way is another way to look at it is your road or your progress. As you make progress in your relationship with the Lord, Jesus is saying, I am that way. I am your progress. And if you are truthful with yourself, you can look at yourself and know that he has made great progress in each of us. statement. Some more than others, but that's okay. Still making progress in this. That's what's incredible. And he says, "The truth and the life, no man comes or to go or comes to come or go unto the father but by me." So Jesus is talking to his disciples in in this section of of scripture. So let's put it in context. He is speaking to his disciples about who the father is. And they're asking, you know, well, who is the father? So he's saying if you see me and you see what I do, you will know the father. Because Jesus did everything his father asked him to do. His father asked him to go and redeem us. And Jesus said, "I have no problem with this. I'm going to go redeem them, redeem the lost." He went to the cross in full knowledge of what he was going to accomplish, knowing that he could not step away from it. He went through with it. He could have called down legions of angels and changed the whole outcome. He could have changed anything anywhere. But he went through with it. And that's very important for us to understand what Jesus says, I am the way or when he says, "I am the way." You see, when Jesus went to the cross and he did exactly what he wanted to do and he went through with it, I can't emphasize that enough. When he got to the other side, he says, "Here, I'm giving you this." We're going to get into scripture. We're going to see more of this. So, he is saying, "I'm not leaving you comfortless. I'm not leaving you without a way. I am leaving you to go to my father, but I'm making you an equal to me where you would do greater things than even I. How do I know this? We're going to see this in scripture. The other thing is when you look at when Jesus was on his way out of death because he died and he was buried for three days and he's out of that. He's ascending from that on his way up. And I've said this numerous times through several teachings and actually did a teaching on it um called my father my god. Jesus says to Mary Magdalene on the way up I go to my father your father my god your your god. So we know that if Jesus is going to imitate his father and we imitate Jesus, we can imitate God in the relationship that he's given us because he's given us a way. I'm not saying we're going to be gods. We're not. But we are adopted joint hes meaning the same authority that Jesus has ha has because he still has it. The same authority we have today. And I'm hoping to be able to teach this to you so that you can come out of whatever you're dealing with and walk in his anointing, in his freedom, in his liberty because you don't have to walk the same way the world walks. So, let's continue on in John or excuse me, look at Psalm Psalm 35:3. Draw or pour out also the spear or the lance javelin and stop the way against. Now, that way against is encountering against friendly or hostile them that persecute or run after chase me. Say unto my soul, which is my breathing creature vitality, I am thy salvation, which means something saved, delivered. Let's talk about this for a moment. When Jesus says, "I am the way," he's your progress. He's the one who's going to get you going. This psalmist is saying, "Look, I need you to stop what's coming against me, whether it's friendly or hostile. In this case, it's hostile." They're persecuting him. They're chasing him. And he's saying unto his soul, I am thy salvation. Because he's saying Jesus, he's referring to the salvation of God. And he's telling it to his soul. Remember what Romans 10:9 says that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. This is very, very important that we're dealing with the mouth here. And you can see the psalmist is telling you, listen, there's things that are coming after you. They're persecuting you. It could be you. You could be persecuting yourself, not getting enough sleep, irritated by everything and anything around you. It could be the world against you. We just had the election and Trump became the victory. He's going to be the 47th president of the United States of America. And I see these people throwing themselves down on the ground like they're demonic. Actually, it reminds me of a demonic situation uh or even a 2-year-old temper tantrum. I saw one girl throw herself down, get up and run and miss the door and just face planted the edge of the door and collapsed. She she knocked herself out. the see to her in her mind using her as an example she didn't get the outcome she wanted. So she is being persecuted. You have things that are on your plate at work or you have your children or your finances or your health, whatever it may be. These are things that are on your mind that are important to you that are persecuting you. I don't have enough money for this. I don't know why my health is doing this. And these are the things that persecute. They chase after us. Look at what he's saying here. But then he says, "Say unto my soul, I am thy salvation." Because remember, Jesus lifted us up and we're equals with him. And what authority he has, we have. I know that you're probably thinking, "No, no, no. I'm not like Jesus or I cannot be like Jesus." It could be at the moment in your life, the way you're living your life, especially if you're thinking that you're thinking and you're possibly living in sin. Well, guess what? The purpose of Jesus going to the cross was to redeem you of all sin. He's done that. Now, now that you're redeemed, what do you think of that? How do you think of that? What should you do? Maybe show some respect and say, "I'm going to turn my life around. I don't want to think like that. I don't want to be like a sinner. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to say to my soul that I am saved. I am delivered." You see, the thing about deliverance ministry, let's let's get the the basics of this for just a brief moment. It's taking your thinking from thinking what is against you, focusing on the issues against you and challenging or changing that thinking to the thinking of Jesus is my Lord and Savior. So, for example, if you've gotten some rough news from the doctor, cancer, you're going through chemotherapy or anything, my mom is having to go through this and it is rough and it is rough. However, she has the right to change her thinking, saying, "I don't need to go through this. I've got the name of Jesus, and I declare the name of Jesus over my life." If you have somebody who's persecuting, your finances are persecuting you, which are based on decisions you made, but or out maybe out of circumstances, out of your hands, maybe. What you can do though is you say in the name of Jesus, I'm delivered. I'm healed. I'm set apart from that. That's what I am. The way, the truth, and the life is. You're declaring the name of Jesus with the progress report of goodness of Jesus' name of his authority over your circumstance. Now it might not happen in that moment or even two weeks but I will tell you there is a shift and sometimes it happens immediately where everything suddenly shifts for you because you declared the name of Jesus over it. Now I believe that it happens right away. Let's remember though what happened to Daniel when he went to the Lord and started fasting. The angel told him, it took him 21 days to get there. And the angel told him, I started getting here that first day when the Lord told me to come here, but I had opposition. So now we're understanding there is a spiritual opposition atmosphere going on around us. But when we declare the name of Jesus, we are free. We are no longer under the oppressive enemy pulling us down. We can be delivered, set free, healed, walk out of it. We can finally say, "I've had enough. I'm not going to take any more medications. I'm sick and tired of this. I want my stomach to be normal. I do not want to have issues with my appetite. I'm gonna live to the life fully because no matter how much medication you take, no matter how much of whatever you do, you're not going to add one extra second on your life because you will go home with the Lord when the Lord wants you to go home. The question is now, do you want to live your life now while you're in the flesh for Christ and live it fully, comfortably, pleasant, or do you want to live it in pain and suffering the way the world thinks it needs to be lived? Oh, you got cancer, you have to do the chemotherapy. Or, oh, you got diabetes, you're going to have to take those drugs. Let me let me let you in on a little secret here, my friends. God has provided the authority of his name Jesus. He has provided the herbs of the earth and he has provided a mechanism of where our bodies heal themselves. We should not be in the condition we're in. And that goes for the entire world. We should not have the health crisis we see today. And you want to know why we shouldn't see it? Is because we need more teachers and more preachers that are getting up and standing up in faith. We are the house of faith ministries. We're about faith where we stand up in faith and declare faith and atone for one another, forgive one another, love one another, love his commandments. That is the prescription that Jesus gives us to live life to its fullest, without pain, without discomfort, without hurt. That's the gift of life we have. Romans 6:23 says, "The wages of sin is death." So if we're dying, it's because we've sinned. But if you ask Jesus to forgive you, guess what? Sin's gone. Now you're living life. You should not be living the consequences of what your sin did. And it should be forgiven and nullified where it doesn't even go to your children or your grandchildren or your great-grandchildren. Do you know that we're living today this we are part of the consequences of what our greatgrandparents lived before us. So whatever sin that they were inherent upon or uh susceptible to they that influences us today. I don't even know my great-grandparents. They I knew them as a little child but I did not know them know them as an adult. So I have no idea what their life was about, but I prayed and forgave them, which breaks the chain of the consequences. So now I pray and forgive me and Jesus forgives me. So it breaks the chain so that my children, my daughter, my grandsons, and my great grandchildren that I don't have yet, if the Lord carries, they are covered and protected. Now they've got righteousness on them, a blessing of righteousness. So ask yourself, do you not just want to be better physically, but do you want your children to be better physically? Because that's important. Let's continue on and get into this. I know we're 15 minutes in. I haven't even got to the meat of it. John 14:es 12-8. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth or has faith on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go to my father. Jesus says basically if I stay longer with you I might have beat you on the works but because I have to go to my father because I have to build there's gonna be mansions for you. If you read the scriptures in this chapter he talks about mansion. He says I wouldn't tell you if they weren't there. They're there. He's building a home for you. So he had to go to his father. So he says, "I need you to walk in my authority and I need you to do even greater things than I did because I want my way to go forth, which is that road, that progress report of salvation building and building and suddenly manifesting itself out onto others where you're in the grocery store and somebody asks you, "Hey, What is it that you have that I don't? There's there's something about you. You're full of life and light. I like it. What is it that you That's when you say, "I have Jesus." And they see the difference. And they know you get to witness to them. Verse 13. And he continues on. And whatsoever ye shall ask, that word ask is beg, call, desire, crave in my name, that will I do, that the father may be glorified or magnified in the son. You got to ask for what it is that you want. You want to be cancer free, ask to be cancer free. And I suggest doing it with somebody at your church who is either an elder or on the prayer team who is covered by the eldership. As James 5 says, get anointed by oil. And where two or three are gathered in his name, there Jesus is in the midst. And then you ask, I want to be cancer free. And he will show you that way to get there. Whether you start feeling better immediately or it takes time. Sometimes it's a progress a progress. You know, me getting clean and out of that diabetic realm. It took about three months. I had been on that stuff for I don't know several years because I believed what the doctor said. I mean, I just h I'm I'm so glad that the Lord showed me how to get out of that because I was entwined in that. And it's like, how can I be in ministry and and how could I stand in faith and represent faith, especially in this ministry and not walking myself? You see, it's an oxymoron, you know, and and half the time when I'm preaching, I'm preaching to myself. But I'm urging you, call on the name of Jesus. He is the way. He's going to make that way through your life a way where you're going to get to the desire. You're going to get to where it is you want. But he might change your desire. He might transform your mind, the way you think. Instead of just praying for me, me, me, me, myself, and I, he's going to have you praying for those around you. and he's going to minister to uh through that path. So go to verse 14. If ye ask, if if ye shall ask, which is at call, crave, desire, anything in my name, I will do it. Then look what he does. He adds something extra here. He says, if ye love me, keep my commandments. That word love means social moral sense. It's like an obligation. That word commandment is prescription. He's telling you this is the prescription to stay healed. Do you see this? I hope you are love out of social moral sense obligation. So in other words, when you are obligated to God, especially for what Jesus did on the cross, you you you recognize, you say, "Wow, Jesus, you did this on the cross." And it gets on the inside of you. It changes you. And when you sense that change, suddenly you're obligated. You feel the obligation, the moral sense, the right thing to do. Right thing is to go to church. The right thing is to read the Bible. The right thing is to call on Jesus. And notice what he says. If you keep my commandments, his commandments, the prescription, what are his commandments? keep the social moral sense obligation. That's love. That's the definition of the love used in this scripture. And he's telling you if you keep if you love me, you're obligated to him. You you're you have your sense, your moral sense for him. Keep the commandments, your prescription. Now, a lot of prescription deals with making sure you keep calling on the name of Jesus, making sure that you keep taking holy communion, making sure that you are in church, making sure that you are reading your Bible. Psalm 91 says to dwell in the presence with the Lord in the secret place. There's all kinds of things the Bible tells us to do. And they're not hard. They're very simple, easy things. Jesus says, "My yoke is not heavy." And it isn't. We're to go do these things. And then he says further verse 16, "And I will pray." Jesus will pray, interrogate, request, beseech, desire the father. He's going to go to the father and he will give you another comforter, which means intercessor, consoler, advocate that he may abide with you forever. You see, you have the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit within you that when you say in the name of Jesus, guess what? The Holy Spirit and his strong angels move on your behalf. And especially if you're putting in the word of God with it, no weapon formed against me shall prosper. By his stripes, I was healed. Guess what? The Holy Spirit, the spirit of life, these strong angels are obligated because they obey God, because they love God, they're obligated to move on your behalf. And guess who runs? The devil. Let's keep going. Even the spirit, this is verse 17, even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not. Neither know it. They don't, they don't know him. They don't know the spirit of truth. They don't know Jesus. But ye talking to us who believe. Ye know him for he dwells. He Jesus is staying. He's relating with us. He's enduring with us and shall be in you. He says, "I will not leave you comfortless or bereie, fatherless, perilous. I will come to you even to this day. The Holy Spirit comes to us because he is within us. But keeping his commandments, verse 21, he that keep that hath my commandments, the prescription, you have it. You see, you already know the prescription. And the prescription is in the name of Jesus. You get a headache instead of taking a pill. In the name of Jesus, I'm whole healed. I don't have a headache. Take the holy communion because it reminds you to go back to the power of the cross. It says, "Here I am at the cross, Lord. I remember what you did, Jesus. By your stripes, I'm healed. By the crown, the thorns that you had in your head. By the blood that came down your body, I am redeemed. I have no sin left in me because it has fleeed because your blood flows through my veins." And as you say that, as you walk in that authority, I promise you, and Jesus keeps his promises that he will be with you, it will not bother you, you can have life and life abundantly. Amen. Verse 21. He that hath my commandments, prescripture, prescription, and keeps it, you watch, you guard, you keep an eye on those commandments. You keep an eye on it. Oh man, we didn't go to church on Sunday. I need to have holy communion. Let me have holy community. Let's do it now. I'm learning that holy communion is a very powerful tool in keeping healed and whole. I urge you to take holy communion at minimum a week. We do it every Sunday at the church. And if we happen to miss that service for whatever particular reason, we're here at home and we have holy communion. It is very imperative that we take that holy communion. That's one. That's an obligation that shows love to Jesus because you're remembering him on the cross. And that activates the power of the cross by his stripes. He was whipped on the back for us. And that was for our healing so that we could be healed and live in our healing. We don't have to live in sickness and disease. Amen. And watch you have See, you got to keep guard over that. I just emphasize that them he it is that loveth me. Let's start from that scripture at the top of that scripture. He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me. You see, by you demonstrating keeping those commandments, you're showing your love to him. And he that loveth me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus will glorify himself out of your body, and he will show you off to the world. That's how much he wants to be there. He's going to tell the world, "Look, she's not going to age as much as someone who's in sin all the time. She's going to look beautiful and you're going to see that peace and that faith and that love and that joy come out of her because he's demonstrating his will, his way out of you which will minister to hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. Amen. Because you will do greater things than he did. Verse 22, Judas saith unto him not a scariot, Lord, how is it that thou will manifest thyself and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, "If a man love me, he will keep my words, and my father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him." See, Jesus is going to come and reside in you, reside in you. He's going to be there in you because you're the holy temple. Your body is a holy temple. He wants to abode in you. The father with him and the comforter. So all three, the trinity wants to abide in you. Verse 24. He that loveth me not keepeth my not my sayings, and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you. Do you think the disciples remembered everything that they spoke about or what Jesus spoke about to them during the three years? No. But the Holy Spirit came and told them, reminded brought to remembrance me getting delivered. It took a three-month progress of getting rid of that diabetic medicine, cholesterol medicine, all that junk. It took about three months. But the Lord, the Holy Spirit kept bringing to remembrance conversations I had with doctors and then showing me the red flags. And I was like, "Oh, I don't want to live like this. They've been lying to me. I don't have diabetes." And I had never had I tried casting it out. And by the way, I had casted out depression 30 plus years ago and I was successful at that because that was a real spirit. Diabetes isn't. But the name of Jesus is real and he resides in me. So every time you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord. Jesus is Lord over my finances. Jesus is Lord over my head. Jesus is Lord over my heart. Jesus is Lord over my blood. Jesus is Lord over my finances. Jesus is Lord over my household. Jesus is Lord over my children. Jesus is Lord over my grandchildren. Jesus is Lord over my parents. Jesus is Lord over my siblings. You keep claiming the name of Jesus over everything. Jesus says that's you're obligated. You're doing that out of love. Because you're doing it out of love. You're keeping my commandments. You're dwelling in me because you keep remembering to say his name. I will dwell with you. And by the way, where God is, where Jesus is, where the Holy Spirit is, sin cannot be. It cannot reside. It cannot be any powerful at all. It is dead. It dies. Sin goes. And therefore the consequences go as well which means aging slows down for us because we're spending more time with the Lord which means we have more strength in our bodies. We have more strength in our minds. You see understand the spiritual aspect and consequences and don't be limited by what I'm teaching either. Go to the Holy Spirit. Go to the father. Ask him to express show and explain to you what he's doing. because he will reveal it to you and he will teach it to you. And perhaps, who knows, you might have part of the teaching that the rest of the world is missing. All because you're obedient, keeping his commandments, getting it back to the cross, dwelling in him, and letting him dwell in you. that liberty that you get to have from sin, from sickness, from diseases, from financial destitution because that's how good our God is. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We bless your word. I pray that faith builds up in each and every one of our hearts and minds. Father God, I pray that we do not lose this teaching that it stays permanently in our minds where we're calling on the name of Jesus in everything that we do. But we're dwelling with you and you're dwelling with us because we love you. We do it yes out of a moral sense and obligation. But at the same time there is that empathic emotional love that is there that we say Lord Lord Lord Jesus you're Jesus over my skin. You're Jesus over my mind. You're Jesus over my heart. Oh Lord, I pray that this catches on, that there's a spirit of the name of Jesus that manifests in all of us and throughout the body of Christ, the church, and the kingdom of God. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I'll see you in the next teaching. Bye-bye. Home Previous Next

DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that deliverance, like salvation, is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey of freedom in Christ. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that deliverance addresses not only sin but also the consequences of sin, and that believers must learn to recognize and overcome strongholds through forgiveness, covenant trust, and the fruit of the Spirit. The goal is to equip Christians with a mindset of continual victory, rooted in God’s unchanging promises, that transforms both their personal walk and their ministry toward others. DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that deliverance, like salvation, is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey of freedom in Christ. Synopsis: In Deliverance is for Life, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores the biblical truth that God carries His children from the womb to old age, promising continual deliverance (Isaiah 46:3-4). Many Christians mistakenly view deliverance as a one-time breakthrough, yet Pastor Marcos shows that true deliverance is an ongoing process tied to salvation itself—salvation frees us from sin, while deliverance frees us from its lingering consequences. He explains that sin has two edges: separation and consequence. Through Christ, who is both faithful to forgive and just to cleanse, believers can experience complete restoration. Forgiveness, however, does not always restore trust, and many struggle with offenses because they confuse forgiving with trusting. Pastor Marcos teaches that forgiving is an act of obedience to God’s Word, not a reliance on human flesh, and that true deliverance requires shifting focus from the offender to the spiritual strongholds influencing their behavior. By exposing the battle between selfish ambition (self-centered idolatry) and self-control (fruit of the Spirit), he encourages believers to stop taking offenses personally and instead intercede for those bound by strongholds. Such prayers, birthed by the Spirit, align with Christ’s command to love, bless, and pray for those who hurt us (Matthew 5:44-45). Pastor Marcos stresses the security of God’s covenant: unlike human relationships that can break under repeated offenses, Jesus swore never to leave nor forsake His children. This assurance empowers believers to forgive continually and extend grace, knowing God’s promises are unchangeable. Ultimately, Deliverance is for Life calls Christians to reject selfish ambition, embrace self-control, and trust in God’s unwavering commitment to carry and deliver them. Every offense becomes an opportunity for double victory—freedom from personal hurt and the chance to minister deliverance to others. In this way, past wounds no longer define believers but become platforms for testimony, demonstrating that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28). Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 46:3-4 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Those who go through the deliverance ministry, sometimes think that it is a one-time proposition because of the great results that they received after being delivered from a stronghold that held them back for so long. But in reality, deliverance, like salvation, is a lifelong process that involves every believer, even if they have not gone through ministry under a well-trained deliverance team. Not every believer has a stronghold in their lives so powerful that needs outside help in order for them to break loose from it. In this lesson I want to deal with the ministry of deliverance itself and the different kinds of strongholds that afflict so many of God’s children today. Deliverance and salvation are synonymous in the sense that we all need to be saved, and we all need to be delivered. Salvation saves us from our sins. Deliverance saves us from the consequences of our sins. There is a difference, and awareness of that difference can make all the difference in the world, pardon the pun. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sin is a double edge sword that cuts both ways, brings separation, and condemnation/consequences. Jesus, the two-edged sword Word of God who became flesh is faithful and just; faithful to forgive us our sins, and just to cleanse us from the consequences of our sins. We can never understand deliverance until we understand the two sides of sin. Let’s say that a person sins against another person, let’s call that sin a violation of trust. Let’s say that the offender repents and asks the offended person to forgive them and let us say that the offended person truly forgives them, it does not necessarily mean that the person that got hurt and forgave the trespasser, will be able to trust them again even if they wanted to, because within our nature we do not like to get hurt. During ministry, many a time I heard the injured party say to me that they cannot let go of the offense. They know that the Scriptures compels them to forgive the offender, yet the pain is so real to them that they cannot bring themselves to forgive because they equate it with having to put their trust on the offender only to get hurt all over again. Forgiving does not mean trusting in their flesh! Philippians 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” God does not put any confidence in the flesh and neither should we, but if we want to worship God in Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, we must be obedient to His Word. That is if we want to be delivered from our inabilities to trust again and be free from the fear of getting hurt. We need a basic understanding of how Jesus is faithful to forgive us, and how He is just to cleanse us from our repeated offenses that just won’t let us go, because of the stronghold that they have over our actions. It all begins with us putting our trust in the covenant! Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie (And He also swore that He would not change His mind 7:21), we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” In the covenant that allows Jesus to be faithful to forgive us our sins and just to cleanse us from their consequences, we find that the God who cannot lie swore on an oath that He would not change His mind. Here is what it means: when we forgive, we do so in the expectation that the offender will not hurt us anymore by violating our trust once again. If they continue to hurt us after we have truly forgiven them, we, rightly so, change our minds and break away from fellowship with them, and the offender bears the consequences of their sins against us by being deprived of our communion with them, for that might be the only way that we can keep them from hurting us. So that in our natural way of thinking we see our relationship with Jesus in the same frame of mind, since we keep sinning against His Word because of a stronghold in our lives, we derive that He changes His mind toward us and does not want to be around us anymore. Although our hurting others will keep people away from us, we can never drive Jesus away from us, because He promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He swore an oath that He would not change His mind. So that if we want to see ourselves in the way that Jesus sees us, we need to see those who continue to offend us as Jesus sees them. It is the spirit of Selfish Ambition against the spirit of Self Control! When someone hurts us, our natural response is, they hurt me. We hardly realize that the person hurting us is so hurt that they just simply hurt back others just so that in their minds they get even somehow, that is how the spirit of Selfish Ambition works. It is self-centered. If in the other hand we realize that the person hurting us is under the control of a spiritual stronghold, especially when they have repented in the past and come back and hurt us again, then our mind set can be one of Self Control. For our emphasis is now on the spiritual condition of the offender instead of our own hurt that we are experiencing by their actions against us. In spiritual warfare, once the spirit behind the offense is exposed, that lays the foundation for our victory over them. So that every time that we are offended we have an opportunity for a double victory. If we do not take the offense personal, we do not get hurt, for we say to ourselves, this is not about me...they are the ones that have a problem. Then we can direct our focus to the person that needs to be set free from their strongholds. We can do that by putting them on our prayer list and asking Jesus on a regular basis to bring deliverance into their lives, or if a door is opened for us to minister to them, because we did not take it personally when they hurt us. Then we can lead them into the truth that Jesus loves them and will never leave them no matter what, and if they see that demonstrated in us, they will know that it is for real. How do we identify strongholds? Selfish Ambition is always rooted in idolatry, and at the heart of idolatry is self-worship, for it cries this is all about Me. When we get offended it is because Me got in the way. But how can I keep from getting hurt you may ask? Next time that you get offended ask yourself this question, Who is offending Me, the person or a spirit within the person? If your answer is, it is the person, then it becomes personal to you, it also becomes a trap for your soul. For Jesus died for that person’s soul just as much as He died for your own soul, and now you find yourself embroiled in a dispute with a person that was created by God and in the image of God. But if your answer is, it is the spirit within that person that is offending me, then now you become one with Jesus in the indignation that one of His creatures has been taken captive by the devil to do his will. So that your prayer to Jesus would go something like this: Dear Lord Jesus, look what that spirit is doing to your child, please Lord set them free! We may not realize it, but that is probably one of the most powerful prayers that we will ever pray. For a prayer like that cannot come from us, but from the Spirit of God that dwells within us. Matthew 5:44-45 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” How can we be different if we behave like the rest of the world? In our opening Scripture God says that from the womb, even to our old age He carries us, and ends by telling us that He will deliver us. What that means is that whatever happened to us, no matter how bad, or how evil, how unthinkable, or how depraved, He will deliver us! We can on one hand, blame our past for our present circumstances and lash out at others from the midst of our wretched condition; on the other hand, we can use those past experiences as a platform to launch our deliverance mindset that in everything, all things always work out for our own good, because He loves us and He carries us to victory no matter what. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” All we have to do is reject Selfish Ambitions and embrace His spiritual fruit of Self Control. - SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES The objective of Spiritual Principles is to provide believers with a deeper understanding of God’s spiritual laws and how they govern the unseen spiritual realm with the same certainty that physical laws govern the natural universe. Pastor Marcos seeks to help Christians grasp the unchanging and perfect nature of spiritual principles, showing how obedience to them leads to transformation, humility, and grace, while disobedience results in spiritual downfall. SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of Spiritual Principles is to provide believers with a deeper understanding of God’s spiritual laws and how they govern the unseen spiritual realm with the same certainty that physical laws govern the natural universe. Pastor Marcos seeks to help Christians grasp the unchanging and perfect nature of spiritual principles, showing how obedience to them leads to transformation, humility, and grace, while disobedience results in spiritual downfall. Synopsis: In Spiritual Principles, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores Psalm 19:7 as the foundation for understanding how God’s law is perfect, converting the soul and enlightening the heart. He draws parallels between the physical laws of nature, such as gravity and aerodynamics, and their spiritual counterparts, like pride leading to a fall and grace lifting the humble. Through these comparisons, he shows that while physical laws may sometimes be defied or mitigated, spiritual laws are flawless and unchanging, always producing their intended results. The lesson highlights how Jesus’ teachings consistently revolved around spiritual principles, often illustrated through parables, and how His disciples, though untrained in worldly education, demonstrated profound wisdom through their understanding of these truths. Pastor Marcos explains that spiritual principles warn us, correct us, and reward us when followed with humility, but bring destruction when violated through pride or presumption. Grace is presented as the higher spiritual law that sets humanity free from the weight of sin, much like aerodynamics overcomes the pull of gravity. The text emphasizes that God’s statutes are more valuable than gold and sweeter than honey, converting the soul and shaping a life of righteousness. Ultimately, walking in humility and reverence for God allows believers to live under the covering of grace, avoiding presumptuous sins, and keeping their words and hearts aligned with God’s will. The teaching concludes with the prayer of Psalm 19:14—an exhortation to let both word and meditation be acceptable before the Lord, who is our strength and Redeemer. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 19:7 “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.” God is using His creation of the entire universe, verses one through six, the six days of creation, as a backdrop to His statement on verse seven, The law of the Lord is perfect as He reveals to us the perfection of His spiritual principles, so that we can have an understanding of how His spiritual laws work, as we compare them to the physical laws of nature that we understand. Spiritual principles are the spiritual laws that govern the invisible spiritual universe; and the physical laws or principles, govern the visible physical universe. Our understanding of them engenders us with the ability to be transformed in our thinking, they, the spiritual laws, have the power to convert our soul, our spiritual make up, and to make our simple ways of understanding nature into a powerful tool that helps us to understand the invisible qualities of God Himself. Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.” Everything that Jesus taught revolved around spiritual principles, and He often used parables, simple physical imagery, to portrait how spiritual laws worked. We can see from the verse in the book of Acts the powerful influence that Jesus’ teaching had upon His disciples, they understood spiritual laws/principles, just as well or better than those men educated in matters of the practice and principles of the law itself. What is a spiritual principle and how can we compare it to a physical law of nature? Gravity is a physical law of nature, our discovery of it has helped humanity tremendously to understand how our physical universe works, and most of us have a basic understanding of it. The spiritual counterpart of gravity could be found in our next Scripture verse. Proverbs 16:18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Here we see the connection between spirit and gravity, pride always precedes the fall, now that is a spiritual principle that has a tremendous effect upon our physical world, just like gravity, yet very few understand its workings, because most people do not understand that pride is a spirit. Proverbs 16:19 “Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” We naturally understand that if we jump of a cliff we are going to fall and hurt ourselves, but how many of us know that if we walk in pride we are certain to fall and hurt ourselves. See, you might be spared somehow if you jump off a cliff, because natural laws deviate, but not so with spiritual laws, for they are perfect. There are no trees to cushion your fall in the spiritual realm, your only protection is to reject the spirit of pride and humble yourselves before you fall. But you see, we would do that only if we really believe that pride and gravity have the same effect, they both will cause us to fall, the only difference is that in the physical realm the consequences are sometimes mitigated by other factors, but not so in the spiritual realm, because, once again, God’s spiritual laws are perfect, they never fail. Psalm 19:11-12 “Moreover by them (our understanding of God’s spiritual principles) Your servant is warned, and in keeping them (God’s spiritual principles) there is great reward. Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.” A humbled heart goes a long way into helping us to see ourselves from the proper perspective, and that is where the great reward is, for who can understand his errors, unless someone with a different perspective as theirs points them out to them, but if we walk in the spirit of pride we would never listen. And when we are willing to listen to wise counsel and deal with our known errors in a biblical way, them even our secret faults, God is more than willing to cleanse, because of another spiritual principle that walks hand in hand with those who walk with a humbled heart. Proverbs 3:34 “Surely He scorns the scornful, but gives grace to the humble.” To walk with a humbled spirit is to walk with God’s grace. How can a metal airplane that weighs tons, loaded with hundreds of passengers, with tanks full of fuel, and hundreds of pieces of luggage on board fly and defy gravity? Because of the law of aerodynamics; for thousands of years humans could not mechanically fly, until the law of aerodynamics was discovered, and now we can even fly into outer space. For thousands of years humans languished under the heaviness of sin, and could not rise above God’s perfect law that declared that the soul that sinned shall surely died and be confined, until the more perfect law of God’s grace was revealed on Calvary’s hill to release mankind from the burden of sin that kept us down. Not everybody flies, and not everybody is saved. Under the natural law not everybody might be able to fly due to physical limitations, but in the perfect spiritual realm of God’s grace, everybody can be saved no matter what their physical limitations might be, because God’s grace is perfectly adequate for all humans to avail themselves with. Right, pure, clean, true and righteous altogether, those are the qualities that the perfect law of God’s grace brings into the soul that understands God’s mercy and makes these qualities of grace its habitation. Psalm 19:8 “The statutes (spiritual principles) of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” The understanding of right begins within the human heart having experienced the power of God’s grace, being humbled by the manifestation of God’s great mercy and forgiveness. Having the right perspective of our standing before God is a humbling experience that opens our eyes to the purity and perfection of Jesus’ sacrifice for us and what He accomplished for the entire human race. Psalm 19:9 “The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.” The fear of the Lord is having a clear understanding of how spiritual principles work, that they are more real than the physical laws of nature that we dare not violate because we naturally understand the consequences of such violations, that is what keeps us clean. When we understand the judgments or consequences for violating God’s spiritual principles, how true they are, we make every effort to avoid violating them, and that in essence is what makes us to walk in righteousness altogether. Psalm 19:10 “More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.” Here we see how the soul is converted by the testimony of the Lord; once we understand the reality of these spiritual laws, we naturally desire them more than any physical thing, more than gold and riches, even more than our necessary food as Job declared about God’s statues. Psalm 19:13 “Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.” Assumptions and presumptions: In the natural or physical realm we tend to believe, based on assumptions, that friends will be true, that others can be trusted to work for our betterment, that life will be normal, and if we are young, that old age is something that happens to others, not us. To assume is not a great transgression because when friends betray you, and when others put their own self-interest ahead of yours, and when life treats you like a toilet, and wait until you start getting old, Ha! Ha! All that does is make you stronger if you understand spiritual principles and are living by them. But to presume, now that is a different type of sin, for those who presume on the grace of God, which is spiritual, fall under the dominion of the sin they ignored and presumed would not harm them. So that no matter what we think we know and understand about spiritual principles, it is always desirable to keep a humble heart and an open mind, lest we fall into the sin of presumption and forfeit the grace that sustains us.
