YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A LISTENER OF THE WORD OF GOD The objective of this teaching, Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God, is to equip believers with the ability to discern, evaluate, and respond rightly to the Word of God as it is preached, taught, prayed, or prophesied. It emphasizes the responsibility of each listener to test teachings against Scripture, make godly choices, and walk in love, forgiveness, and truth, ensuring they are not deceived by false or non-biblical words. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS A LISTENER OF THE WORD OF GOD Minister Lisa Kane April 26, 2024 Objective: The objective of this teaching, Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God, is to equip believers with the ability to discern, evaluate, and respond rightly to the Word of God as it is preached, taught, prayed, or prophesied. It emphasizes the responsibility of each listener to test teachings against Scripture, make godly choices, and walk in love, forgiveness, and truth, ensuring they are not deceived by false or non-biblical words. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane highlights the believer’s responsibility when receiving the Word of God. Using 1 Corinthians 13:9 as a foundation, she explains that since we only “know in part,” we must be careful to measure every teaching and prophecy by the truth of Scripture. Listeners are urged to accept what aligns with the Bible and to reject anything false or misleading. Lisa shows from passages like Joshua 24:15 and Deuteronomy 30:19 that God has always given His people the power of choice—life or death, blessing or cursing. Likewise, when prayers or teachings contradict God’s Word, believers have the authority to reject them. Discernment, rooted in knowledge of the Word (Hebrews 4:12; 5:14), is key to avoiding deception. The message stresses that discernment must be exercised in the spirit of love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13, and never in condemnation. Since Jesus came not to condemn but to save (John 3:17), believers are called to walk in forgiveness and mercy, avoiding the role of the accuser which belongs to Satan (Revelation 12:10). Instead, they are to handle error with humility, prayer, and grace, leaving judgment in God’s hands. Finally, Lisa reminds listeners to continually seek God’s Spirit in the “secret place,” rely on His Word, and let their actions of love and forgiveness confirm their faith. True discernment flows from knowing Scripture, walking in love, and yielding to the Holy Spirit. The message closes with a call for believers to take responsibility for guarding their hearts and minds, choosing to serve the Lord faithfully, and allowing the Spirit of God to lead them in truth. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I am Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this message on Friday, April 26, 2024. Welcome. This message is entitled Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God. Yes, you have a responsibility. So, let's dive into that. Let's open up in our word of prayer first. Father God, we thank you for your word that your word does not return void. But we pray that your Holy Spirit is involved in this word and that it manifests within us, Father God, so that we live by your word, hear your word, learn your word appropriately, and know how to discern going forward from here, Lord. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. All right. So, let's go to our opening scripture here. So, this is entitled, Your Responsibility as a Listener of the Word of God. That's kind of a long title, but that's what it is. 1 Corinthians 13:9, for we know in part and we prophesy in part. So, the goal of this teaching is to help you understand how to discern a very good teaching of the word of God. Maybe parts of it is good, but parts of it is non-biblical. You need to know whether you need to accept that word that is either taught or prayed over you or prophesied over you or you need to reject th those uh words because it could be non-biblical words and it could go against what you've been working with the Lord on. This impacts you big time in your life. And because of that, I want to teach you how to manage that here and in your heart so that the spirit of God moves through your life and you stand firm in the word and you are not set apart or um distracted or deceived from a false teaching. Think of it like this. If you're in a um an event somewhere, it's a biblical uh Bible event or you're in the church service, everyone's shouting amen and clapping their hands, but you're sitting there going there's red flags in your mind, their alarm bells are going off like, did I hear him correctly or her correctly? That's what you need to be able to do. You need to judge that person's teaching. And remember, I used to, if you go back to all of my early teachings, first thing I told you is don't take my word for it. Go dive into the word of God and do your homework. And I still talk about you having homework. But I haven't done this in a while. And then I thought, well, let's do a full teaching on this, okay? Because this is very, very important. Right here in our opening scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:9, Paul is saying, "For we know, we absolutely know in part a division or a share and then we prophesy in part." This is the chapter of love. 1 Corinthians 13 is the love chapter. So, he's going into some detail here. We're going to get into uh love here in just a moment because that's one of the factors that's going to help you discern uh a good teaching or biblical teaching versus a non-biblical teaching. kind of help you discern um what you need to do or what your actions are after the fact. Okay, so that's what we're going to do. So he says you know in part. Why do we only know in part? Because we're not God. If you are standing on something so strong, vehemently strong that so and so is wrong, you are in the wrong as well. Why? Because if you are Christlike and you are walking with Jesus, you're in the business of forgiveness. So whether your brother or sister is wrong, what you do is you go through Jesus and you follow his process. So we're going to get into that here in just a bit. I want you to see and understand that you have the right to accept a word or teaching and you have the right to reject a word or teaching. Because see, the Bible's all about choices. There's many scriptures that talk about choice. So, you have to choose whether you want to believe the words that were placed over you or not. That's very important. Let's say somebody prays something, but that prayer doesn't line up with the word of God. It feels good. It sounds good. You know, when I was growing up, I grew up in the church. And when I knew I had a calling of teaching on my life, I remember taking some of the things we used to quote and run around saying all the time. I went to go put it into one of my teachings and I could not find scripture on it. I couldn't even find conceptual uh scriptures to go with it. Context scriptures. I was like, "Wow, made me think twice." And I, by the way, I can't even remember any of those now. I've been doing this for so long. But what I do now is all of my teaching come from the word of God. I am not going to um I'm not going to vary off of that. I if I bring in outside sources, yes, but it is to reaffirm the word of God. That is what I do. I'm called to teach the word of God, not Lisa's teachings. I'm not God. In fact, everybody you hear is not a God. It's not God himself. Yes, the Holy Spirit moves through us, but the Holy Spirit, Jesus has already spoken all the words through the Bible. We need to stand firm by the Bible. So you have the right to choose. Now let's get a few scriptures of choice that you can choose to live by because these are choice scriptures. So I want you to understand the choice you have ahead of you. So go look at Joshua 24:15. And if it seem evil, this is Joshua speaking to the congregation of Israel when um right either right before they go uh past the Jordan and go into the promised land or right after. He's right there and he says, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose." The word choose means to try, select, acceptable. Choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwelt. But as for me in my house, we will serve the Lord. And if you follow that, Joshua is their leader. Israel ends up following them. They go and fight Jericho right after that. And as they marched around doing something that seems so weird. They end up having victory, but they all chose to follow God. Now, when you choose to follow God, you're going to find that God is going to have you do weird things. He's going to have he he wants to teach you how not to limit him. So he wants to solve things that you're praying for, asking for in ways that um you probably will never ever think of. So he wants that freedom to be able to move with you. So this is the choice. But you have to make a choice to get there first. Me and my house shall serve the Lord or me and my family shall serve the Lord. So Joshua starts with that. Let's go to Deuteronomy because God also gave the nation of Israel choice. He says,"I call on," and this is Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life that both thou and thy seed may live." Now, what's so fascinating about this is that you see if somebody prays over you a prayer that's going to end up in death, that's not what you want. You want choice. So, if you're hearing somebody praying over you, prophesying over you, you can stop them immediately. Say, "I don't accept that. That's not biblical. That's not scriptural. That's not what God has for me. He has life for me." You see the difference? There's something here. Now, look at what this means. Life is being alive, fresh. Uh that word fresh also means like freshly plants and watered plants. It's really alive and fresh. Death means to be in ruined. How many people are living in ruin? Because somebody spoke a curse over them and they believed it. I hope you're getting this. You don't have to believe that. You do not have to accept something that somebody says over you. I remember years ago getting my ears pierced. The lady spoke about my loaves. Oh, you're one of those. You're going to have a heart attack and you're I said, "No, I'm not. I reject that." Yeah. See, you have to protect yourself against these words that people speak that they don't even realize that they're speaking. We're going to talk about that more here in a moment. Blessing means to have the benediction or prosper prosperity. you can be blessed financially. There's a lot of teaching right now that they said the church just went too far. They're just only calling on blessings and prosperity. We know that the disciples and the apostles were uh martyed. We know that they went to their deaths that they did not have uh over an abundance of blessings. They had every need met. Yes, that is scriptural. But God wants to bless you. Look at Abraham. Abraham had so much. It was incredible. Lot and Abraham had to separate because of the blessings of God that was placed upon him. King David, King Solomon, the volume. God wants to bless you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Now, if you're going to take your life to be like an apostle or a disciple, then you're going to want your daily bread ma ma met, as the Lord's prayer says, and you're going to want to realize that the sacrifices you're making for the word of God is going to follow the path of a disciple or an apostle. But you might not be called to be an apostle. Maybe a disciple, but not an apostle. There are different callings, different teachings. That is for another teaching. But understand the Lord wants you prosperous. He truly does. And then of course cursing which is the vilification. You can curse somebody. We see it on the news all the time especially when you come to like um courtroom for Trump and whatever. All these people saying he deserve what that's a curse. You just cursed him. Aren't you a believer in Christ? And aren't you supposed to be forgiving one another? That's what Christ does. He didn't come to judge this world. We're going to get into that here in just a moment. I want you to see Proverbs 28:4 and5. This is the choices and the consequences of the choices you make. They that forsake, they chose, they let go, relinquish, loosened the law. Now remember, the law is what was first. Jesus fulfilled the law. Now we walk in forgiveness. So uh the author here is teaching us when you forsake God's law and you praise the wicked or the morally wrong but such as keep a hedge but he's telling you but instead keep hedge about protect your mind the law within your heart contend with him let's read this without the extra words remember when I teach here the bolded word is the original word in the King James version the words in parenthesis are other words that the word could be translated into. Okay. So, they that forook forsake the law praise the wicked. But such as keep the law, those that keep the law contend with them that are wicked. And that word contend means anger metal. In other words, if I choose to keep the law, I'm making them angry. Good. Maybe it'll shake them up, but you will have an enemy who will be angry with you and upset with you because you choose God first. They don't like that because it exposes them for the darkness that they're in. It exposes them for the choice that they made that they're happy and content with the choice that they made. Again, we're starting here with a choice. You have a choice. Do you want to choose to be morally wrong, evil, or would you like to choose to walk with God in goodness? Most people want to say, why choose goodness? They don't choose God. They'll choose goodness. But remember, God encompasses everything about that is good. Let's continue on. Verse five, evil men understand not judgment or the verdict. You see, when you choose evil, there is a consequence, a judgment, a verdict against you already. You are already condemned when you do not choose Jesus. As simple as that. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father except through Jesus. The moment you do not choose Jesus and you reject him, you are already judged and verdictked. The verdict is in. You are not saved. You have to go to Jesus to get saved. That this is scriptural. This is a foundation. Says, "But they that seek or search out strive after the Lord understand all things." And that word understand means to separate mentally. You're cunning. You discern. You see, your mind has to be able to discern discern what's going on. The little little things that take place, that little line that can easily be crossed. You should have red flags, bells going off when you hear something that don't sound right to you because you made the choice to walk with God. You made a choice to walk in his law or in the name of Jesus, which is the time frame we're in right now. You choose to walk that way. And because of such, you have the ability to discern, understand what someone is teaching you. Now, you're better off understanding it once you know the word of God and you're in it. You have to do your homework here. If a preacher's preaching something, he's just reading scriptures here and there. You have to pause, think about it, take it home, read those scriptures, see if it's within context, see if it meets the measure of what the Lord is trying to teach you and then accept or reject. And sometimes we just get caught up in the feeling and the emotions behind a very good teaching pastor who builds us up. Oh, it sounds good. They all applaud. Yeah, he misspoke something. That's how the devil does it. He sneaks in like the little sneaky thing. Now, look what Jesus does there. So, this is uh something I want you to see that we can walk with that helps us. John 3:17, for God sent not his son into the world to condemn, distinguish, desise, judge the world, but that the world through him might be saved, delivered, protected. First, that is the rock and the foundation we stand upon. We stand upon the name of Jesus. And the name of Jesus came not to condemn. We already have an accuser who condemns. I'm going to show you that here in just a moment. Jesus didn't come to condemn. He didn't judge anyone. He doesn't judge anyone. He came that the world would be delivered, protected, saved. Look at what John 8:15 says. Ye judge after the flesh. I judge no man. The word judge is to distinguish, decide, condemn. Jesus says, "I judge no man." So a preacher gets up to you gets up there on the preaching stand, he preaches, she preaches, you're judging that preacher. So if you're Christlike and you're going to be like Christ and you're going to walk with Jesus, you judge no one. Okay? So what I want to show you is that as you judge it, because we've been given a gift to judge, we know how to measure something. The the whole point of that gift is not to condemn, but that they might be saved. So there's a tactful way to handle someone who makes a mistake. You made a mistake. All of us have fallen short of the glory of God. We have all made mistakes. None of us is perfect. None of us is God. Which means we need to be walking in forgiveness. Going to show this here a little bit more. But I want to show you about the word of God. Remember John 1:1. In the beginning was the word and the word was God and the word was with God. Okay. Now let's go to Hebrews 4:12. For the word of God is quick life and powerful. It's active. It's operative. It's sharper than any two edges or piercing. It reaches through even to the dividing of sunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner, decisive, discriminative of the thoughts and intents of the heart. So now, if you're going to judge, you got to judge through the word of God because that is what's going to help you discern. Look what it says here, the thoughts and intents of the heart, your heart, and whoever you're listening to their heart. You need to be able to discern. Now, let's go to Hebrews. I want you to see something here. Hebrews 5:14. But strong meat belongth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised in discern, judicial estimation, disputation, both good, which is beautiful, valuable, virtuous, and evil, worthless, depraved, injurious. You see, we have been given the ability to discern and we need to use our discernment appropriately to accept or to reject what we're listening to. Not just listening to a preacher or a teacher or an evangelist or even if we're reading the Bible, we're listening to God. Sometimes what happens is we take it one way and God did not mean it that way. And we have to be able to discern because there's a way we have to say, "Hey Lord, I don't get this. How do I understand this? Show me the way." And you wait on the Lord and he will show you the way. This is how we understand things. This is how we discern things. Now, so we have basis number one. Know your word. Okay? Many of us don't know our word. Uh we die through the lack of knowledge. We're actually destroyed. That word destroyed uh means that we are made dumb and stupid. And that's true because we don't know the word of God. We don't know the blessings and the strengths that the Lord has placed upon us. We don't understand it because we're not doing it ourselves. And for those that do do it for ourselves, the problem we have is we get a little hottier and hotter and the Lord has to remind us to become humbled before him because we only know in part. We don't know the whole thing. We're not God. We're where we are weak. He is strong. So he brings out our weaknesses to expose his strength. This is how God operates. Now, so you need to know your word. That's the foundation number one. Foundation number two is you have to know the emotion behind the teaching you're receiving. Whether it's through a teacher or what you're learning about the word of God or anything else around you, look at the motivation, the emotional motivation, it needs to be done in love. 1 Corinthians 13:1, though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, men and of angels, meaning if you can speak in tongues and you have that gift, you speak to angels. Well, even if you can do that, almighty one, look at this. and have not charity or love. The word there is affection or benevolence. I am become a sounding brass or a tinkling symbol. I don't make sense anymore because I'm not doing it out of love. Now, why do I teach a message like this of this magnitude? One, I'm doing it because I love you and I want you to find the word of God and walk with the word of God in truth and not be deceived by this world. So, I'm coming through with love, gentleness, kindness. These are the things that I'm speaking the word of God through. You don't do that, it's you you're not you're clinging. You're you're not making sense. You're going to set off red flags and alarms in the people who are following the love of God. Look at verse uh 13 now in the same chapter. And now abide in faith which is your persuasion, your credence, hope, anticipate, expectation, charity, affection, benevolence. These three, but the greatest of these is charity. Your affection and benevolence needs to speak for yourself. You see, your actions are going to speak more than whatever words you speak. That means your body language needs to be showing the love of God. You need to be walking in the love of God. That means helping people. You've got to be there for them. Let me pray for you. Let me help you. Let me walk you through this. Let me show you where this is in scripture. You have to be able to want to do that. That is part of discerning. Okay? That is how we discern. So, we have to know our word. And when we don't, here's the thing. The Holy Spirit will show you. He will and and you will know it in your heart. But he's going to show you through a scripture. He wants you to understand it through him directly. For the record, God doesn't need any preachers or pastors or teachers. I mean, he's established his church, but the Holy Spirit could have fulfilled all those roles. Instead, he calls you and I to be in these positions so that we can teach through him for people who need to see and can only see the physical. They don't see the spiritual atmosphere. They can't understand it. It's beyond them. So, we have to be there for them. But we have to also remember we're not God and we fall and fail. Which means we don't want to lose our loved ones. These ones that we're trying to save and keep in the line of God. Amen. Look here in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 10-14. But God hath prevailed. He took off the cover them unto us by his spirit. For the spirit teacheth all things. Yeah. The deep things of God. The spirit's going to teach you. He's going to You're going to open up your Bible and you start reading, you're going to be like, "Wow, that's the answer for what I was facing and needed to hear." Lord, thank you. That's how it works through his spirit. For what man knoweth or is aware the things of a man, save the spirit of a man which is in him? Even so, the things of God knoweth no man, but the spirit of God. The spirit of God is what's going to do everything and move through everything. Not by us, not by strength, not by power, not by I call it down in the name of Jesus. It doesn't work like that. It's by the spirit of God. Amen. It's by the spirit of God. He is moving. Verse 12. Now we have received or we take we get hold of it. Not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. You see, you want to hear that word of God. It's being given to you freely. I freely preach here, by the way. And what I do is I give this to you freely because this is what the Holy Spirit has shown me. I'm not perfect. I'm just going to have to just set aside and let that go in the name of Jesus. I have to ask the Lord's Holy Spirit to come and speak through me because it is done by spirit. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things or divine things with divi uh with spiritual. This is how we discern. So now verse 14, but the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God, for they are foolishness. Remember what I talked about Jericho? The Lord had him march around the city six times, once each day for six days, and then seven times on the seventh day. And they shouted, and the walls came tumbling down. That's not usually how battle is done, but God chose to do it that way. Amen. for for they are foolishness or silliness, absurdity unto him. Neither can he know. Absolutely no. Or allow them because they are spiritually divinely discerned. You have to be able to discern, scrutinize, investigate, examine, judge. That's what discernment is all about. And to have that discernment, we're going to have to judge. But Jesus taught us that he does not judge or he does not condemn. So what does Jesus do? Let's go to Matthew 6:14-15. For if ye forgive, you send forth, you leave men their trespasses, a slid slip, offense, or sin, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses. That's not talking about eternity as walking in your daily life with God. You see, if you're going to judge, you've got to judge in forgiveness. Now what you do after that is you take it to the Lord and you say Lord what you do is you say Lord either I'm misunderstanding this and always always always take yourself to the Lord first you know it could be that you're misunderstanding something you don't know everything yet you only know in part so somebody teach you something that seems so radical way out here in left field you're going to be wondering well Lord what is this So he says, "I will show you." So you go to him and you say, "Lord, I judge this, but I see it and I don't think I have enough information to understand it. So I'm here pausing. What is it that I'm missing? What did I misunderstand?" Or, "Lord, are they false teaching? Is this a false teaching that's taking place?" Because I need to know if this is, then I don't want to accept it. And the Lord will reveal it to you through his word and through his spirit. Hallelujah. And remember, we are in the times of the Gentiles. This is the time of fullness of Gentiles, which means we walk in forgiveness. I'm going to show you something here. Look at Luke 21:24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive into all nations, and Jerusalem shall be trotten down of the Gentiles until the times, that's an occasion or set or proper time of the Gentiles be fulfilled. This is the time we're in. as prophesied. By the way, the Gentiles are not filled yet. We're not done. We keep preaching Jesus and we need to continue to preach Jesus, which is forgiveness, salvation, the good news. He came and redeemed each and every one of us. So in Matthew 18, if you read the whole thing, it talks about do not de deceive or lead astray the little children. And then he said, Peter says towards the end of the chapter, well, how many times am I supposed to forgive seven times? Jesus says, I'll take it further. 70* 7. You can take that scripture one of two ways. You can take it as meaning well forever. You have to forgive them forever. That is true because we're not God. If you take it literal and you do 490 times, you would have to write down that one sin and see if that person committed it 490 times, are you going to be over that person's life that many times for that one sin? And now, by the way, that's just one sin. That's not counting all the sins we commit. You'd have to keep a book in record. The only one who can do that is God himself. This is why you and I who are not God have to humble ourselves and forgive our brothers. Forgive our sisters. Forgive. Walk in the mercy and the grace of what Jesus stands for because we are Christlike Christians in the name of Jesus. Walking in Christianity with Jesus through salvation. Oh hallelujah. And remember everything is done by the mouth. Romans 10:9 says that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. You have to confess your forgiveness. You have to say it out loud because you have a cloud of witnesses watching around you. The devil is watching you. Angels are watching you. God is watching you. Use your mouth, which is the foundation of using the word of God. Speak forgiveness. Speak love. This is what we're supposed to call on. I'm not calling on a million dollars. I'm calling on the name of Jesus who is over my finances because he's above money and better than money. Hallelujah. Now, if we choose to accuse the person that we think did wrong, we have a couple of issues we have to be very careful of. One, they these people have an anointing on their lives. Now, David, King David, who murdered a man, God didn't remove him from his kingdom. God forgave him, but took his son that he had with Basheba that God took the son but David remained king. He was wrong. Should have been removed but he wasn't. So now what do you do? You do not take up the the accusers's position. We're not accusers. The devil is. Go to Revelation 12:9 and 10. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ. For the accuser against one in the assembly of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night." The devil's accusing everybody all the time before God day and night. Don't do his job for him because you identified an error or mistake or a sin. No. Matthew 18 tells you what to do. But first, first first take it to God. Pray about it. Let the Lord lead you. You know, I'm I have no right to judge or condemn you. I'm not God. I messed up myself. And because of that, we have to humble ourselves before the Lord and realize we're not the accusers. We have to walk in mercy and grace. Look at Galatians 3:26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. That's who you are. So what your job and your responsibility is is you have to know your word. So get into it and start studying if you're not already doing start memorizing it. Let it penetrate your soul. You have to walk in love in the charity that God has given us the benevolence and your actions of love. Your actions need to speak louder than your words. Let your actions speak for themselves. Get groceries for your neighbor. Help them get to church. Pray for people. Lay your hands on them so they stop being sick because that is what we're called to do. Forgive one another is another one. We need to humble ourselves and forgive. And another part of discernment. Zechariah 4:6. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, "This is not the word of the or excuse me, this is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts." It is the spirit of God that is going to move and do everything. You have no right to accuse, so don't do it. You're not the accuser. You have the gift to judge. Judge with love and give it to the Lord. Let the Lord, let the spirit of God move and handle the whole situation. Walk in mercy. Walk in forgiveness. Walk in that love because that is what we're called to do. And again, get to know the word of God and let it penetrate so you recognize immediately what's going on so you can go right into prayer at that very moment. And you should be praying in advance in your secret place with the Lord at all times. You know, I couldn't do a teaching without talking about the secret place of the Lord. Amen. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word that it does not return void. We bless your word that the enemy does not take it from us, but that we retain it, remember it, apply it to our lives, and live it. In the holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. God bless each and every one of you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next

ARE YOU WATCHING? END TIMES UPDATE: MATTHEW 24 The purpose of this teaching is to awaken believers to the urgency of Christ’s return by examining Matthew 24 and related scriptures. It seeks to equip listeners with biblical understanding of fulfilled and pending end-time prophecies, urging them to remain spiritually alert, develop a personal relationship with Jesus, and live in readiness for His coming. ARE YOU WATCHING? END TIMES UPDATE: MATTHEW 24 Minister Lisa Kane August 19, 2023 Objective: The purpose of this teaching is to awaken believers to the urgency of Christ’s return by examining Matthew 24 and related scriptures. It seeks to equip listeners with biblical understanding of fulfilled and pending end-time prophecies, urging them to remain spiritually alert, develop a personal relationship with Jesus, and live in readiness for His coming. Synopsis: In “Are You Watching?”, Lisa Kane delivers a detailed end-times update centered on Matthew 24, supported by Revelation and Ezekiel. She begins with Jesus’ warning to watch and remain prepared, explaining through scripture and analogy that believers can recognize prophetic signs just as one can discern details in a family photograph. The teaching highlights fulfilled prophecies—false prophets, wars, deception, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, lawlessness, and growing offenses—showing their manifestation in current events and cultural shifts. Lisa contrasts the perspectives of unbelievers, Israel, and the Church, underscoring that only those who cultivate a close relationship with Christ will truly discern the times. She explains the distinction between tribulation, God’s wrath, and the rapture, urging believers to remain steadfast and repentant, like the thief on the cross who acknowledged his guilt and received salvation. The message closes with a call to readiness: to live daily in fellowship with Jesus, to watch with spiritual discernment, and to prepare for the fulfillment of the remaining signs—including the abomination of desolation, the great earthquake, and ultimately, Christ’s return with power and glory. The teaching is both a prophetic reminder and an urgent invitation to believers and unbelievers alike to turn to the Lord while there is still time. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane and I'm recording this on Saturday, August 19th, 2023. Welcome. This messages called Are You Watching? This is an end times update and we're going to look at the details of Matthew 24, most of Matthew 24. So, we're going to break that down. And uh it's been a while since I've done an end times update, so it's due time. I tried to do it last week and the Holy Spirit said no. So, we're doing it this week. Apparently, he opened the door for me to do this. So, we're going to do this. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your blessings and we thank you because you are wonderful and we honor you. We put you first in our lives. We seek you first. You are truly the center of our lives. You're the rock of our foundation, Father God. And thank you for your salvation. Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross for our sins. Thank you for being the son of God, the perfect one who was able to complete and accomplish what the Bible tells us which you spoke. So Lord, I thank you and I pray that you open up our eyes and ears and hearts and minds to see, hear, receive and believe and apply your word to our lives, Father God, and get ready that we can just know what's going on. Thank you, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. And let's go to our opening scripture here. Matthew 24:43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Okay. So, we're going to break down Matthew 24. We're going to check off some prophecies that are been that have already been completed. But I want you to see what he says as we get towards the end of Matthew 24. He's saying if you knew the hour, you would not have let the thief come in. So if you know the hour, wait a minute, but you you're you're probably thinking no one knows the date and the hour. Well, you know, there's more scripture here and you have to read it in context to really understand what the Lord is saying. Look at Revelation 33. Remember therefore how and and this is by the way um Jesus writing the seven letters to the churches and they're talking to the church of Sardis here. He says remember therefore how you have received and heard hold fast and repent. Turn your life around is what that word means. Therefore if you will not watch I will come upon you as a thief and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. Now, did you catch that? Because there's some double negatives in there. Let's let's change the negatives because when you have two double negatives, it means a positive. So, let's look at this. Therefore, if you will watch, I will not come upon you as a thief, and you will know what hour I will come upon you. So, very important that Jesus is telling us to watch because you should know, you should know what's going on. Think of it like this. Um, if you, this is an analogy, but this is a very good analogy that I think is very applicable to this. Imagine if you walked into your greatg grandmother's house and when you walk in there's a foyer or a hallway and she's got all these old photographs and and they're all on the wall and you're just you walk by and you look at them and you know you know you don't know 90% of the people in these pictures. But you look at one in particular and there looks like to be a mom and a dad, three kids and a snowman. They're wearing warm clothing. What do you know automatically about that photograph? It was taken in the winter. That's on the surface. Okay, you can know this automatically. Now, if you decide to dig a little deeper, catch that. If you decide to dig a little deeper, you can ask your great grandmother, "Who are those in the picture? When was the picture taken?" She can probably answer it most likely. Now, of course, She's got Alzheimer's and stuff. She may not be able to, but maybe you can take the picture out of the frame. Maybe somebody wrote something on the back. There are other ways. You may hit a dead end, but up to that point, you can know when that photograph was taken. Now, let's apply that analogy to end times. You can know when the end is coming. There there's a lot of signs here that tell us and we're going to know. And in fact, we're going to know right up to the minute. And I I'm positive of this just the way the scriptures are written, how the Lord talks about it. And I know in the past the church has been taught that no one knows the day nor the hour. And a lot of people believe that means no one knows when. Well, that's not a true statement. So this is very specific when he says no one knows the day nor the hour. So I want to delve into another analogy that I can take uh with this is see he says it'll be like a thief in the night. Now imagine you're a thief. Let's let's look at it from this perspective. This is another analogy before we dig into it. Imagine if you're a thief and you are a thief with two others and you're at the workplace. You you actually work. you have a job and you guys met together and somehow came together where the three of you became partners and you uh divide the spoils up and what have you. Well, and the way your method is, again, this is an analogy. It's not quite perfect, but listen to how this plays out. If you the the your method is when you you take uh addresses out of the book, the yellow pages or wherever, and you decide to case the place, you monitor them for a couple of weeks. figure out when's the best time to go in and steal their goods and you do it. You divide the spoils. Okay? And it's been successful for you, the three of you. Well, in one day, you know, and the three of you are not really friends. This is just something that came about here at the workplace. You talk about it on your breaks. You talk about in the parking lot after work, what have you. That so you guys really never though took it home, you know, because there is a level where you don't want to take another thief to your home. Okay, let's put it that way. Anyways, so here you guys are are doing this. Well, you pick another address out of the book and it's your address. Now, all of a sudden, you know that they're going to case your joint and they do and and you watch them because you could do one of two things. You can tell them, "Hey, not that address. It's mine." Or because you don't want them to know your address. You have some opportunities here that if you pause and you think about this, what happens on the night that they decide to all break in? You you say, "I'm going to come in from one side or whatever." You just go sit on a chair right in front of the door. You tell them the time to come in and they come in. You're sitting there with the flashlight and a gun. Guess what? They're not going to steal from you because you are there and you knew. And that is the whole point that Jesus is trying to get across here. He says you will know. So you need to watch because you're going to see these things. But again, he's also making it known to selected people. Remember what he said in Matthew. I never knew you. These are people who prophesied in his name. Cast out demons in his name. I never knew you. So this is where now he's talking to a group of people. And what have I been teaching on this whole time? Get into the secret place with the Lord. Know him and he knows you. You've got you guys are on a firstname basis. Your friends, he's in your home. You're in his home. And that is how the relationship works and builds up. So he's talking to this particular group of people. Remember, end time prophecy has to deal with three groups of people. the nation of Israel, the body of Christ, and the unbeliever. So, now we're going to look at Matthew 24 in depth, most of it anyways. And I want you to see where we are in prophecy because it's fascinating because you got to know where we are. And then I'm going to look at things that haven't come to pass yet, those signs to look for so you would know. Amen. So, here we're going to start in Matthew 24:es 4 and 5. And Jesus answered, he's talking to his disciples. And Jesus answered and said to them, "Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ and will deceive many." Okay. Um, I had Jehovah's Witnesses come up to my door. Uh, this is before before we moved to Missouri. And he hands me a book and I thought it was like the Holy Bible, but they added extra scriptures, modified things, whatever. And I realized it's an entirely different book. And all the kid kept saying was, "Oh, Jesus was here when the Native Americans were here, the Indians. It was so great to know that he was here, and I believe because of that." I'm thinking, "Okay, well, I'm glad that ministered to you." But the Bible doesn't say anything about him being here with the Indians, but he's been here throughout all history anyway. So, yes, he was here with the Indians. Yes, he was here with the Romans. Yes, he was here with the Greeks. But this kid was so focused on that. And then he's getting this information from a book that's not the Holy Bible. And of course, I pointed them back to the Holy Bible. But how many are deceived by going through a different book and not the Holy Bible? Mormons the same way. Um I think the leader found some gold books underneath the New York City or something like that. And they're going to go to another planet and all their wives will come with them. Something like that. I don't I don't know the details of it because that's not I don't follow that. But how many people are following? There's a there's a huge Mormon following. And we're talking millions. So, has this scripture been fulfilled? Take heed that no one deceives you, for many will come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You know, look at the January 6 thing. How many prophets said Trump won? These are prophets. And you know what? I to my shame, I align myself with them because I believe them. and I wasn't going to the scripture and I really really I repented. This is when things in my life changed personally for me. But uh they were saying I was watching a Sid Roth episode uh and I you know he's a great man of God I think but uh he had these prophets on his podcast and he was and they were saying no he won and um one of them was saying you have your cake and eat it too and there and there I am agreeing with him and then it didn't happen and then one of them had the audacity to come back later and say well he won but it was stolen from him and so in my mind I was thinking oh Why didn't you say that beforehand? You see, meaning he didn't know. He didn't speak a true prophecy. So, how many people are being deceived? Oh my word. Anyways, this scripture is fulfilled. And I just want you to see that because people are thinking instead of following the word of God. I mean, I grew up in the church and there are things I've quoted many times and I went looking for the scripture because I wanted to finally give it a a book and a chapter and a verse to it. Guess what? it wasn't in the Bible. And I'm thinking, what? So, I had to now, this is why I look up everything that I'm talking about and I share so many scriptures with you because I learned and I hope you learn from that, too. Don't rely on things you grew up with that you have been quoted with and all this stuff. Don't rely on that, okay? Because it could deceive and uh you don't want to be in that. You don't even want to be close to that element, okay? So, continuing on, let's look at verse six. And you will hear wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. We know we have World War I, we have World War II, uh the Korean War, the Vietnam War. We've had wars, and then recently the Ukraine and Russia war. It was a rumor, then it became a war. And then now you got rumors of Taiwan and China. So, all of this is fulfilled. Again, this is uh you can check that box off of this prophecy has been fulfilled. Verse 7, for nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Nation will rise against nation. If you notice, there's alliances forming right now. You got Russia and China. Most of Africa is lining up now with them. So you um and Saudi Arabia and Israel about to make a peace treaty, a seven-year peace treaty. Gotta wonder where what that's all about. But all of these things have been taking place. And this is setting the platform for nation to rise against nation. We already see that they've got the 2030 agenda, the 2050 agenda in place. They are building the foundation to get to those points because they think it will save the earth. They got to reduce the population, go all electric, do 15minute cities. You've got all of these things that are taking place. So this foundation here, but this has already been ongoing. And it's not just kingdom against kingdom and nation against nation. I want to add in here, the wars aren't just battles with guns and stuff like that. Waring now deals with the banking industry and the money. So you can see they're rejecting the US dollar and this is that's a we're in warfare because of that. Okay. So understand nation against nation. We are in that. They're not they're deceiving us because they're not showing everything through the mainstream media. You have to go and look that information up. I want to continue on because this is there's a lot of information here, but you can delve a lot more deeper into that if you'd like. There will be famines. How many commercials do you see on TV of children starving in Africa? How many years have we've seen that? I grew up with those commercials. I'm telling you, famines have been around for a very long time. Now, they're trying to reduce all the food and stuff because they want to get the they want to actually get to um their agenda in 2050 is no meat. You don't eat any meat. You're in a 15minute city. And the cities the they want to make sure that 50% of the earth is unpopulated. By the way, it's like 75% of the earth is unpopulated right now. Okay? So, don't be caught up in this deception, but that's what this is. Famines. Look at the pestilences. We just got done with CO. There's another CO supposed to be coming out. We've had the SARS 2, SARS one, H1N1, pestilences being around. Uh, earthquakes. My goodness. Now, if you go get an earthquake app and you look at it, there's like a 6.0. several of them in all kinds of places all day long. They're accelerating. These things are accelerating. But what is this described as the time we're in right now? Birth pangs, contractions. Anyone, any mother or a husband that was there with their wife that are about to expect a child, they know they got to go through these contractions. And by the time you come to the birthing process, your contractions are like 30 seconds long, 10 second pause, 30 seconds. And that's the way it was with me when I gave birth to my daughter. I'm telling you, we're accelerating into that. So, we're not there yet because even though we're seeing all kinds of stuff happening right now, and we'll get into into that in a bit here, but you're seeing that. But earthquakes and various ways, but look at what he says here. All these are the beginning of sorrows. This is the beginning of birth pains. this is just the start. Um, and they're not, you know, these are just contractions you're starting to feel. So, this was, so all of those prophecies have been fulfilled here in our lifetime, if not even sooner before our lifetime, before our generation. So, they've been fulfilled. So, understand that. Check those boxes off. Let's continue on with what he says, though. Nine, then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. I I think it's a UN leader over there, and I'm not 100% certain, but one of them had said, um, you Christians, you will take this thing in your hand and you will shop and buy with it because you won't be able to eat or do anything else without it. And he addressed that directly to the Christians with a tone. I mean, he was vehement about it. And I was like, what did we do to you to make you like this and and it it it goes to show the demonic influence that's over him again for this end times that we are in. And and look at this here. You know, he says they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you. you know, in the Middle East, I saw um I saw the video a little bit, not to the end, but Christians marching in for, you know, they were just walking, singing, himming in a line. They were being led by sheep, by men with guns and knives. And they get to a point and they executed them. These are martyrs for Christ. And it was like, "Oh, is the scripture fulfilled?" Yes. Do the people hate Christians, the nations? Yes. Do they hate Israel? Anti-semitism is so high, it's unbelievable. Unbelievable. And you know it's spiritual when you see and hear about that kind of stuff. But check that box off. That prophecy has been fulfilled. Verse 10. And then many will be offended. Oh, will betray one another and will hate one another. Oh my goodness. The the offense now. Oh, Black Lives Matter is because of an offense. These people were offended because two white guys kill a black guy and it keeps happening over and over again. They don't talk about the black guys killing the white guys. No, no, no. It's hypocritical. It's one-sided. And they were so offended that it all went back to, "Oh, my ancestors were in slavery." And you know what? When they started doing the DNA test and come to find out a lot of these whacks were from the whites who had slaves back then. Guess what? They don't get reimbursed for that. California was big and they wanted to give out I think it was 800 million or something and Newsome finally backed off of that. You don't hear anything about it anymore. It's not in the media anymore. Why? Because they realized, oh, we can't give into it. But they were all offended and and how many I I I'm on social media. I do watch social media. I'm kind of get a little my news from there because you get more of it there than you do anywhere else. But there you are. You've got people who are hating their neighbors. Jesus says, "Love one another. Love your neighbor as you love yourself." These are his commandments. These people are hating each other that they're putting signs on the wall calling this person a Karen because that's the word they use for calling these people and they're calling the peace the police all the time. They're attacking one another. They are offended. People were offended just by putting a Trump sign in the ground. Offended. And look it, they would call betray one another. will hate one another. They were calling the police on you. This scripture has been fulfilled. And that's in our lifetime. Now, let's look at verse 11. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. I spoke about the January 6 false prophet thing. This scripture has been fulfilled. You can check that box off. Go to verse 12. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. flawlessness. Defund the police. Defund the police. Oh, it you know what? I did laugh and I maybe I shouldn't have, but I repented and I asked the Lord to forgive me. But at the same time, I did laugh. But you know what was it? Mayor, I think it was in Washington or Oregon. Uh Portland, I think it was something like that. Anyways, they attacked, they stole her house. They were there in her house stealing. She called the cops, but she was the biggest proponent for defund the police in that area. Well, anyways, it backfired on her, didn't it? Anyway, lawlessness will abound. You the state of California right now, you can go steal up to 950 bucks. They will not prosecute you. They will not come after you. And in fact, if your store employee or store security, they're not allowed to even go after you because if they did, they would get prosecuted. Lawlessness abounds. Oh, and love will grow cold. I just talked about neighbors hating one another. That's the same thing that was fulfilled in this time in our generation. This is incredible. You just start checking off all these boxes. Look at this verse 13. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. I spend time and have a relationship with the Lord. And there are many of us who do this. And the more that do this, this is the group that's going to endure to the end. get yourself into that group. I I I I have to urge you as much as I possibly can. And all it takes is you tell God, "I messed up. I'm guilty. I'm sorry." And then you open up his word and you start to question him. He wants to be questioned. Isaiah 1:18, "Come, let us reason together." Question. Talk to him. Let him answer you, though. You need to be open to it and open to his answer. You can be mad. You could go say, "Why? Why are you doing this, Lord?" And he will answer you. But you have to realize his answer is true and his answer is the ultimate answer. And don't go looking to me or any other preacher, pastor to answer your questions for you. We'll do the best we can, but we're just a man or a woman trying to interpret a spiritual thing. So, you got to go direct to the spiritual. You see, you don't have to go through a pastor or the mother Mary. You go straight to the source. Amen. Amen. Uh that's to endure. That's to survive. Verse 14. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come because birth panes. So the last point here is everyone needs to hear the gospel. I know that there was one tribe left in Amazon and uh they have video of them out on the beach. They were wearing loin cloth and painted in red and they had spears. The helicopter is videotaping. They're just throwing their spears at them. I do know a missionary got out there. um they killed the first missionary to get there and then um I believe other missionaries are there and I think they've got the gospel in there. So we're this close to everyone hearing that. So and then the end will come. That is very powerful. So I want you to understand that. Now the next set of scriptures for Matthew 24 is all about the abomination of desolation. I'm not going to read these scriptures. You can go read it. Daniel tells you the abomination of desolation will happen in the middle of the seven-year time period of God's wrath. So that applies to the nation of Israel. It's involving their third temple. It's involving their daily sacrifices. And basically when the two witnesses die, they die three and a half years into the seven-year time period. When they die, the Antichrist sits on that throne and tells the Jews, "You will worship me." Jesus said that's called the abomination of desolation. Jesus says when you see that run. So that's what those scriptures talk about and they're talking to the nation of Israel. So I'm going to skip those scriptures and we're going to continue on here in verse 29. Says immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light. The stars will fall from heaven and the powers of heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. I'm going pause there. Ezekiel 38 and39, Revelation 6 and Matthew 24 here talk about the same event. It's a great earthquake that takes place. The sun goes dark, the moon turns to red. So they're talking about the exact same event. Now look at this. He says and it's immed. So when he says and then the end will come, this is that this is what's called the day of the Lord. This is day one of that 7-year time period. There's an army in Ezekiel 38 that talks about this. This army, Gog and Magog, and its allies, Russia, China, and whomever they ally with are going to attempt to invade Israel. And God is going to prevent it. He's going to kill all these people on the day. It's like a two million man army. He's going to kill them all. It's going to take the nation of Israel. This is how specific the scriptures are. It's going to take the nation of Israel seven months to clean up the bodies, to find all the body parts. You go read this. Go to Ezekiel and read it. Do some homework. Research it because I want you to find this information under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Don't listen to me. Let the Holy Spirit reveal this to you. So, this event all happens on the same time. This is the day of the Lord. This is the same event. This prophecy has not happened yet. We still have a sun and we still have a moon. They're still shining their lights. Let's read a little further. Verse 30. Then notice the conjunction here. So this earthquake, the sun goes dark, the moon turns to red. This arm is going to be killed. That's not here in Matthew 24, but it is in Ezekiel. All this happens on the same day. Look at what he says. Then conjunction then. Then the sign of the son of man will appear in heaven. What is the sign of the son of man? We're going to see that a little bit more. He explains it a little further, but it's the lightning coming from the east to the west. The rapture. For those of you who say the rapture, the word rapture is not in the Bible. It is. It's in Latin. In the Latin Bible, raptura. And by the way, it means caught up. So when they translated rapura into English, they used the basic caught up. make it simple for you to understand. So yes, it's in the Bible. Yes, the rapture takes event. And do you see it takes place on the day of the Lord? It's on this day. And it's after this huge tribulation of this earthquake. All the the tribulation we we're in a great tribulation right now. The seven-year time period. I know a lot of people call it the tribulation. It's not the great tribulation. That's God's wrath. God's wrath supersedes great tribulation. supersedes tribulation. So, you got to watch your terminology when you're dealing with this and talking about it. But here we can see straight up, the son of man will appear in heaven. And then look at this. And then all the tribes of the earth will mourn and they will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And I'm not done there. Look at this. And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet. And they will gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. That's the rapture. You know, and for those of you who have a hard time understanding the rapture, think of it like this. It's like the days of Noah. We're going to get into the scripture here. Methuselah had to die. Noah was the last righteous man and Methuselah was righteous before him, but Methuselah lived 969 years. So, Methuselah had to die. Once he died, then God can move forward because now he had less than 10 people righteous on the earth. Uh you can go read Abraham's conversation that he has with God when God comes to visit him before he goes to Sodom and Gomorrah. He's telling him, "I'm going to get Lot out and uh we're going to destroy the cities." And Abraham's like, "Well, if you got 50 righteous people, would you still destroy it?" God said, "No." He says, "How about 30, 20, 10?" He said, "No every time until he got to 10." So there is a level. So the rapture is going to take out all the righteous people because we're not appointed to his wrath. Simple as that. If you notice, we're not preaching. We're not doing any. There is no activity of the body of Christ in the seven-year time period of God's wrath. There are resurrections. And a resurrection, by the way, is different than a rapture. Rapture, Paul describes it in 2 Corinthians 15 or 1 Corinthians 15, excuse me. You can go read these scriptures. I wasn't going to go here, but for a moment, I will. That's for the living. He describes it for the people who are alive. They change in the twinkling of an eye. The resurrection in the middle of the tribulation is when the two witnesses die and they come up to heaven three and a half days after their death. The end of the tribulation or the end of the seven-year time period of God's wrath. Got to get my terminology correct if I want to preach on that. This that is another resurrection. They resurrect the martyrs. What's a martyr? A person who died who's dead for what he believes in in this case for Jesus. So those are resurrections. The rapture. So this scripture that we just read is talking about the rapture and that is that event. It happens on the day of the Lord. Okay. Now let's continue on. Again, that hasn't happened yet. Prophecy that's coming hasn't happened yet. Verse 34. Surely I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Pause. This includes the abomination of desolation. I know that there are folks who have who trouble with this because they think, okay, well, the rapture has to take place and this generation cannot pass away, which means we'll be here through this. They get into that. And no, that's not what this means. It means that this generation will not pass away. Well, how many are in a generation? I'm going to tell you right now, people who are my age, this is my generation we're talking about, by the way, and if there are Jewish people my age who will be here when the abomination of desolation take place, it's a true statement. that generation shall not pass away because they will be alive when that happens. So, I promise you, they will be alive up to that point. For the rest of us who have nothing to do with that, we're either raptured up or you are an unbeliever and you made it into that seven-year time period and you are under persecution. In fact, you're probably dead. A lot of pe so many people are going to die during the seven-year tribulation that man will be finer than for gold. And you can go read the scripture on that. Search O for gold and you will find it. But I want you to see this. This generation will not pass away. So all these things that we saw is for us, you and me, today. So now we know this is happening in our lifetime. So we saw all these scriptures get fulfilled. Now we're at the point where we're seeing scripture not fulfilled yet. We haven't seen that great earthquake. We haven't seen the sun go dark. We haven't seen the moon moon turn to red. And we haven't seen the sign of the son of man coming from the east to the west like lightning. That hasn't happened. We haven't seen the angels blow the trumpet and come in and gather the elect from the four corners of the earth. We haven't seen that. Now look at what else he says. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. What does that mean? And where is that coming from? Because see, there's going to be a new heaven and a new earth as taught in Revelation. You can go read that. I want you to read it. But I want you to see what the next scripture says. But conjunction, but of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but my father only. Wait a minute. You mean to tell me but of the day that heaven and earth passes away, nobody knows except God? Wait, I thought we were talking about the rapture. Well, we we are. We're going to get to that. You're going to see it how he adds that into it. But he is also talking about when heaven and earth passes away. Heaven and earth doesn't pass away till the end of the seven-year time period. Actually, no, I go further than that. It goes after the thousand-y year millennium because they're going to there's a thousand years that the people come back in the earth. The martyrs are are um uh resurrected and given their body. That is considered the first resurrection. You go read this in Revelation. They will be ruling the people still living on the earth and that are now repopulating the earth for this thousand years. That is what this So now here heaven and earth will pass away. That's not till after then. So he added this lid in and he puts it right in front of but of that day. No one knows the but of that day when heaven and earth passes away. No one knows the day nor the hour. But then God Jesus takes that and he let's continue reading it. This is awesome. But my father only verse 37. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the son of man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying, and giving him marriage until the day that Noah entered the ark and did not know until the flood came and took them all away. So also will the coming of the son of man be. who did not know when the flood would happen. The people that were not in the ark. Remember I was teaching you that there are three groups of people that God is dealing with. The nation of Israel, the body of Christ, and the unbeliever. He is telling the unbeliever, "You're not going to know because you're not in the ark because it's like the days of Noah. Who is Noah a righteous man? He was told 120 years in advance that there would be a flood. That's why he built the ark. God told him, "Build the ark because I'm going to flood the earth." And then seven days before he says, "Get in the ark. I'm going to flood the earth in seven days." He knew 120 years. He knew seven days. And guess what? He knew the hour it would happen. Guess what else? Because I'm going to go here. Daniel knew when Messiah would be cut off. You go read it in in Daniel. He knew the year Messiah would be cut off. That's the term he used. Or crucified. He knew. By the way, the wise men knew when they found the toddler baby Jesus. And how did they know? They knew because they were watching the stars. I don't know who told them to watch the stars, but somebody told him. And they said, "It'll be in the stars." And they found him. And then how did Daniel know? Gabriel the angel came and told him and gave him all the numbers. He knew. How did Noah know? Because God came and told him. Who are you? What have I been teaching? You get to be in that secret place with the Lord and you be you develop this relationship with the Lord. You're now righteous. Jesus says, I tell my friends what my father tells me. He didn't tell me when heaven and earth will pass away, but he told me when I'm coming back. Do you see? He you will know when he's returning. And I'm not here to share that with you because that's a personal thing from Jesus himself. You want to know, you get into that place with him and you find out because that's how you're going to know. And then then look what he says after this. This is now verse 42. Watch therefore for you do not know what hour the Lord is coming. Who is he telling the watch? The unbelievers. Who were we before we became believer? We were an unbeliever. He's telling us to watch. So now that we finally get into the relationship with him, we finally press in. We finally have a transformation. And I'm not talking about attending church one day a week. I am talking about a relationship with Christ. If you have a relationship with your spouse or your best friend or a secondary best friend, you're texting, calling, talking to each other multiple times throughout a day. That's the kind of relationship Jesus wants with you. So in that he's telling the unbeliever though because they are going to be taken by surprise. They're not paying attention. They can't even figure out if they're a man or a woman. That's where we're at right now. And this is why he's talking to them because the time is short. He's giving the warning. He's been patiently. He's longsuffering. He is waiting for them. And now you can look as a believer, someone who's in the relationship, you can look at the unbeliever and go, "Oh man, they're missing it." The Pharisees, the Sadducees, and the Herodians missed it when Christ would be uh um cut off or crucified. They should have known because Daniel's book was written 400 years in advance and they had access to it. They didn't know. Look at this verse 43. But know this, that if the master of the house had known, this is our opening scripture here. But if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you also be ready for the son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect. The unbeliever is not expecting this, but you are and I are watching. So the question I have here is how many of you are watching this video where you're not watching and this is all news to you. Now's the time to repent because I promise you this is it. It says in our generation, this is it. This is it. So, it's time to repent. And all you know what? Go to the thief on the cross. What did he do? He says, "We're guilty." And he acknowledged his guilt and he said, "Jesus, remember me when you enter your kingdom?" And Jesus said, "Today I promise you, you will be with me in paradise." That is salvation. It is time to repent and get back to the Lord. Let's continue on. Verse 45. Who then is a faithful and wise servant whom his master made ruler over his household to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. Assurely I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. Wait a second. Wait a second. So when I see him coming on the clouds, I can actually say, "I knew you were been expecting you. Here's my door. Come on in. Let us suck together. Let us eat together. Let us have a relationship together." Because I was expecting you for dinner. I got it ready for you. Oh, and look at he said for you who he's going to put you over all his goods. You will have rulership over your goods. You will be able to keep your areas safe because you're expecting him. Oh, but what about the ones that aren't? But if that evil servant says in his heart, "My master is delaying his coming," and begins to beat his fellow servants to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him in an hour that he does not expect, is not aware of, and will cut him in and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and nashing of teeth. You're going to be weeping and grinding your teeth in the stress of that seven-year time period. Since this is the generation that we know is before that seven-year time period or right in that seven-year time period, then if you're not repenting, you're rejecting Jesus as the son of God, you will be entering that. By the way, um Israel rejected Jesus as the son of God. They rejected him as the Messiah. Guess what? They have front row seats to the seven-year time period of God's wrath because that seven years is for them. If you go, it's because you chose to go. Amen. This is now the time to be watching, to be praying, to have that relationship with the Lord. You need to be in that place with him. You need to make sure that you're see do you go to church because you feel that that's what makes you good and that's what's going to get you into heaven or that you read the Bible from time to time or that you pray from time to time and you think that's going to get you into heaven. Those acts are good in of themselves. A non-believer can do that and not make it to heaven. Did you hear that? A non-believer can open the Bible and read. A non-believer can pray to God. A non-believer can prophesy in God. A nonbeliever can go to church, they won't make it to heaven because Jesus will say, "I never knew you." So Jesus is saying to everyone, "Repent first. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you." So what's salvation? I just explained it as a thief on the cross. That thief got saved. He didn't get off the cross and go get water baptized. He didn't get off that cross and go doortodoor preaching. No, he didn't even speak in tongues. He never had a gift of the Holy Spirit on him or in him. Guess what? He made it to heaven because he acknowledged he's guilty and we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Once you acknowledge that though, it's a humbling experience. Let do the acknowledgement. Say, "Lord, man, I messed up. I messed up and I'm truly sorry. And by the way, it could be just one mess up and it can be a million mess ups. They are all equal. Yeah, messed up. Now's the time to repent and now's the time to get ready because now you can see where we are in current prophecy of end times. What a neat teaching this is because I wanted you to see exactly where we stand. Time to repent. Where's that close? Oh, we're so close. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for encouraging us to build our relationship with you, to get closer to you, to not have fear about any of this because this is your return. You prophesied. You told us it's coming. Lord, we know you're coming. And boy, do I look forward to being in your presence in that day. I look forward to it. And you know what? I know you look forward to having me in your arms. That's what we're going to do here, Lord, is we're going to meet up in the arms of each other, and it's going to be awesome. Thank you, Father God, for your word and your blessings in the name of Jesus. Amen. God bless you, and I will see you in the next message. Bye bye. Previous Next

  • THE SEVEN THUNDERS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE SEVEN THUNDERS The objective of The Seven Thunders is to explore the mystery of the sealed revelation in Revelation 10:4, examining why God withheld the words of the seven thunders from humanity and what their withheld message implies about judgment, grace, repentance, and salvation. It seeks to help believers understand the balance between God’s mercy and His wrath, the danger of relying on a “plan B” after the rapture, and the urgency of embracing salvation during the age of grace. THE SEVEN THUNDERS Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of The Seven Thunders is to explore the mystery of the sealed revelation in Revelation 10:4, examining why God withheld the words of the seven thunders from humanity and what their withheld message implies about judgment, grace, repentance, and salvation. It seeks to help believers understand the balance between God’s mercy and His wrath, the danger of relying on a “plan B” after the rapture, and the urgency of embracing salvation during the age of grace. Synopsis: John faithfully recorded every vision revealed in Revelation until the moment the seven thunders uttered their voices, when God commanded him not to write their message. This secrecy highlights a divine purpose: some truths are withheld until their appointed time. The author interprets the seven thunders as a parallel to the seven trumpets, representing the physical perspective of the first half of God’s Wrath (1260 days). Yet unlike the trumpets, their meaning is sealed to prevent humanity from misusing the knowledge or treating it as an alternative path to salvation. The text stresses that God’s aim is repentance and salvation. Revelation 9:21 reveals that even amid judgment, humanity largely refuses to repent of its sins. In mercy, God allows unrepentant people to experience a foretaste of hell for five months, hoping they might turn to Him. However, the human heart’s wickedness often resists, highlighting why the seven thunders were concealed—had people known of another opportunity after the rapture, many would have neglected faith during the age of grace. John’s vision of eating the little book further illustrates the dual nature of the message: salvation is sweet as honey, but the reality of judgment and rejection of grace is bitter. For those who embrace Christ now, salvation is secured by grace. For those who reject Him and miss the rapture, only bitter suffering and sacrificial death remain as the path to heaven. Ultimately, the sealed message of the seven thunders reinforces the urgency of choosing Christ today. The sweetness of grace is available now; to delay is to risk being left to the bitterness of God’s law and wrath. The prophecy concludes with a call to repentance and faith, affirming that without God there is no hope, but with Him there is always a way of escape. Inspired Teaching: Revelation 10:4 “Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, ‘Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them’” Up to this moment John had been writing everything which had been revealed to him since the vision started, he even wrote down the things that he did not understand, and in many instances he was given an explanation to the meaning of those things that he did not understand. But here, all of the sudden, he is told not to write down the information that he was just privileged to hear from the seven thunders as they uttered their voices. We know that he heard it, but he was not allowed to share it with the rest of us, which begs the question, why? If you read my book Man’s Final Destiny, you know that I believe that the letters to the seven churches comprise the entirety of the Church Age from the physical perspective, and that the seven seals comprise the entirety of the Church Age from the spiritual perspective, about a two-thousand-year period so far. In the same manner, I believe that the seven trumpets reveal the entirety of the first half of the Wrath of God which lasts 1260 days, and that the seven thunders cover the same time period from the physical perspective, but for some reason the physical revelation, which would make it a lot easier for us to understand this time period, is kept from us. Revelation 10:7 “But in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound (the trumpet), the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.” What the seven thunders spoke is part of the Bible, and it must be fulfilled exactly as the Lord revealed it to His prophets, even though it was not revealed to us, but this part of Scripture will not be revealed to humanity until the sounding of the seventh trumpet takes place, then this mystery of God will be completed. Since God sealed it from us, it would be foolish for us try to know the details of what the message was, but we can extrapolate what the general content of the message is, since we have the spiritual revelation given to us of that same time period during the blowing of the seven trumpets. In other words, if we know what the general context of a book is about, we may not know the particulars if we have not read it, but we can clearly ascertain what the emphasis of the message is that such a book would be detailing. In our case, we can take a look at the last verse of the spiritual revelation of the seven trumpets and find out what the Lord’s emphasis during these 1260-day period was. Since chapters eight and nine of Revelation deal with that time period from the spiritual perspective. Revelation 9:21 “And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality of their thefts.” From God’s perspective He is trying to get as many people to heaven as possible and spare them from His Day of Wrath, but they have to be willing to confess and renounce their sins, and if they do not repent, they cannot enter into the holiness of His heaven. We also know from the spiritual revelation of chapters eight and nine that, God in His great mercy, allows those who rejected the free offer of salvation as proclaimed during the Church Age in the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to experience hell here on earth, for an interval of five months, figuring that those who did not really think that heaven or hell were real, would change their minds and repent when faced with the reality of an eternity of pain that finally sinks in into their hearts, where the seat of their understanding abides. Jeremiah 17:9-10 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind (most secret parts), even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” So that we can clearly extrapolate that since the human heart is desperately wicked, and only God truly knows how wicked, that if he would have revealed to humanity during the age of grace what the seven thunders uttered, that there was a plan B, just in case they missed the rapture, that many of those who are believers now might have said to themselves after hearing the Gospel that, well if I miss it there is another way for me. And since God truly knows the wicked condition of the human heart, it may be that those who still did no repented after their encounter with hell for five months, could not do so because they heard the Gospel previously, were convicted by it, and rejected it by saying to themselves, well, I’ll believe it when I see it. For we know that without faith it is impossible to please God. I know that in my rational mind I do not want any kind of hell or demonic encounters, ever, even if it is for just five months, no sir, there is no plan B as far as I am concerned, I much rather believe now and along with my faith in the Truth of the Word of God, enjoy the benefits of my salvation in the here and now, which are many, and rejoice as I fervently look for His appearing, as He returns to take me home with Him and to spared me from the Day of His Wrath. I do not know what the mechanics for salvation will be for those who missed the rapture and find themselves in a real hell on earth, for that is what John was not allowed to write, and I do not want to know, for its one less temptation for us to face, but it will involve dying, for once the rapture takes place the only way to heaven is through the door of death. Since we know the type of martyrdom that those who get saved during the second half of God’s Wrath entails, which is beheading for refusing to take the mark of the beast, we can be pretty sure that the type of death required before entering heaven will not be pretty either for those who missed the Grace of God. Is their required sacrificial death so horrible that our Lord refused to published it before its time? Or is it so simple that it would have undermined the effectiveness of the Gospel during the time of Grace? I’ve come to the conclusion that is neither one of these two extremes. Revelation 10:10-11 “Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. And he said to me, ‘You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.’” The angel tells John to take this little book and to eat it, and then he gives John the bad news first and then the good news last. He tells John that it will make his stomach bitter, but that it will be sweet as honey on his mouth. John, on the other hand, looks at the good news first, he says that it is as sweet as honey in his mouth but that it then soured his stomach. In biblical understanding, eating something is representative of the embracing of a doctrine deep within the heart. The doctrine here is the teaching of salvation and the consequences of damnation. From our present-day perspective as Christians, our salvation is as sweet as honey to our mouths, for as it is written: Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” For us today there is grace and nothing more, for the bitter cup of all our sinfulness was poured out in full measure upon Jesus on the cross. The night before He was crucified, as He was praying in agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, He asked Father God if there was anyway that He could avoid drinking from the bitter cup that was so full with all our sins, knowing that it was for that reason that He came, but that’s how loathsome it was to Him, but we are told that for the joy that was set before Him He endured the cross, for the sweet taste of victory that would follow His sacrificial death. But for those who will miss the rapture, they have treated the blood of Jesus with contempt, and by so doing they have forfeited the grace that could have been theirs and escape the hour of trials, so that now they must drink of the cup of their own bitterness as they are turned over to the law of God which declares that the soul that sinned shall surely die. But there is still the nectar of honey left for them if they pass the test and repent by recognizing once and for all that without God there is no hope for life and no hope for them. And that was the message that John was told to prophesy to the peoples and nations and tongues and kings. Without God there is no hope and without the Word of God there can be no salvation. We are living under the Dispensation of Grace which is so sweet to our taste, those who miss the rapture will find themselves living under the Dispensation of God’s Law overnight, and it will taste so bitter to the desperately wicked human heart that is so bound by selfish ambitions. But we rejoice in the fact that in whatever situation, or in whatever dispensation, the love of God always makes a way of escape. But why would anyone turn their backs on the sweetness of the Gospel of Grace? You do not have to die in your sins, and if our Lord returns while you are still alive, you do not have to be left behind to drink from the bitter cup of your own sinfulness. Say yes to Jesus and He will deliver your soul today into eternal life. Proverbs 16:21 “The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increases learning.” Previous Next

  • THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR To help believers recognize and trust in the divine attributes of God as revealed in Psalm 145:17–18—His righteousness, His graciousness, and His nearness—so that they may walk in faith, honor His ways, and call upon Him in truth with confidence. THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To help believers recognize and trust in the divine attributes of God as revealed in Psalm 145:17–18—His righteousness, His graciousness, and His nearness—so that they may walk in faith, honor His ways, and call upon Him in truth with confidence. Synopsis: In this teaching, Pastor Marcos Marrero reflects on Psalm 145, where King David extols God as his personal King and declares three powerful truths about His rule: the Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works, and near to all who call upon Him in truth. David’s testimony carries great weight as a king who understood the challenges of leadership and decision-making. Unlike earthly rulers, God is perfect in judgment, never erring in His dealings with His creation. This truth strengthens faith, for doubt undermines our ability to receive God’s promises. Through meditating on God’s works, believers learn to trust His righteousness even when His ways are beyond human understanding. David also proclaims that God is gracious in all His works. Unlike flawed human kings, God’s actions are rooted in compassion, mercy, and grace—demonstrated most fully in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to satisfy divine justice. His mercy ensures that humanity can partake in His blessings despite imperfection. Finally, David emphasizes that God is near to all who call upon Him sincerely. Unlike human leaders who are often inaccessible, the Lord is intimately present with His people, upholding the weak, lifting the humble, and hearing the cries of the faithful. Pastor Marcos illustrates this truth with a personal testimony of God’s guidance, showing how the Lord’s plans are always perfect, even when they seem unclear at first. The psalm concludes with a call to unending praise, as all creation and all saints will ultimately acknowledge God’s greatness, righteousness, and mercy. Pastor Marcos urges believers to walk in faith, call upon God in truth, and rest assured that He is always near. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 145:17-18 “The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” King David begins Psalm 145 with a shout of praise to God. It is interesting that David addresses Him as my God, O King; let’s take a look at how David begins this Psalm of adoration. Psalm 145:1 “I will extol (praise) You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.” It takes a king to understand the difficulties of fairly and justly ruling over a kingdom. This Psalm can be read from the perspective of a testimonial that David, as a human king who understood the difficulties of ruling and reigning over flawed humans, bestowed upon our God the Creator, who is also the Great ruling King over all mankind. In our opening text, David makes three key points that underline the qualities with which God rules as King over His creation. First David says of God’s rule: The Lord is righteous in all His ways. Coming from any of us, that statement would not carry as much weight as it does coming from an earthly king who ruled over God’s people for forty years. If you have ever been in a position of leadership, you know how difficult it is to make decisions that affect a group of people and really say to yourself that such decision would be accepted as the perfect choice by everyone involved. As any true leader will tell you, you can’t please everyone, as I’m sure David knew that very well, but yet He says of God our King, that He is righteous in all His ways. Why is this fact so important, that God’s rule is always perfect? Doubt is the opposite of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God, so that if we are doubting the righteousness of God on any situation that we face, we put ourselves at a disadvantage, and by doing so we forfeit the blessings that are offered to us within His kingdom. Psalm 145:5 “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on (the words of) Your wondrous works.” Meditating is the process of slowly ingesting and digesting information, in David’s case he was meditating not only on what God had promised him, but also in what God had already accomplished in his life as well. In the early struggles of my walk by faith journey, I remember at times feeling abandoned by the Lord just because certain things did not work out the way that I expected them to work out, and I remember the words of encouragement that Jesus would always send my way, I did not bring you out this far just to let you go! Psalm 145:19 “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.” I soon realized that in our walk of faith we have to learn how to walk in what the Bible calls the fear of the Lord before He will hear our cry for help, in other words we have to learn how to respect the way that His kingdom operates, which is by faith. Oh, the innocence of those times! One of my first lessons in hearing from the Lord occurred as I was driving from the Orange County area in California where I lived at the time, to the San Fernando Valley area to get pay from my labor as a painting contractor, for that was where the office was located that I had done the work for. Immediately as I started driving towards the office I felt the Lord impressing on me that I was to go someplace and pray after I left the office, so when I picked up the check I said to the Lord, where do you want me to go and pray Lord? Of course I heard nothing back, but since I was sure He had spoken to me earlier, I proceeded through a mountain road down to the coast where the Malibu area is located, for I figured that the mountain or the beach would be a good place to stop and pray. I still felt nothing, so I continued down the coast to the South Bay area of Los Angeles hoping to hear from the Lord as to where I was supposed to stop and pray, about two hours had elapsed and nothing, the church that we attended was in the port area of Los Angeles so I thought that God wanted me to go to the church and pray there, so that was where I headed, when I got over there, the Christian school was having an event in the auditorium, so praying there was out of the question. As I walked through the parking lot to get in my car and finally drive home, someone flagged me down, a church member and his wife had just gotten real bad news and asked me if I would pray with them over the situation that they were facing. I told them of my ordeal just to find out where I was supposed to go and pray, and it encouraged them so much that God had sent someone to pray for them before they even got the bad news, that their faith was made strong enough to overcome their situation. I realized there and then that God always has a perfect plan for everything that He does, and that all that is required of us is to remain faithful, for if we do not give up, we will not only have the victory over whatever situation we are facing, but in time we will understand how perfect and marvelous God’s ways are. Psalm 145:6 “Men shall speak (as I just did) of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.” I learned then, and continue to learn now, that the Lord is righteous in all His ways, whether I understand them or not, after all it is said and done the fact that the Lord is righteous in all His ways will be revealed to all the saints and will be acknowledged by them. Psalm 145:10 “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your saints shall bless You.” Secondly, David said about God’s rule that the Lord is: Gracious in all His works! Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surrounds Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” All the works of God are perfect, and since we forfeited our perfection when Adam sinned, the justice of God has to be satisfied, that is why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins, to satisfy the righteous demands of justice. So that all of the works of God on behalf of mankind are all founded on His grace, as David also acknowledged. Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” In Bible days a king ruled supreme, the words that came out of his mouth were the law, anyone who trespassed against the king’s edicts faced sure death unless the king pardoned their transgression by offering them his mercy. David understood the principles of mercy, because from his ruling position he also understood that the righteousness of God required perfection, something that no human had, that is also why the Messiah had to be all human and all perfect. Thirdly, David said about God’s rule that: The Lord is near to all who call on Him! Imagine that, in the natural, the more responsibility that a person in leadership has the more difficult it is for people to get near them, for their time becomes that much more valuable, so that we usually have to deal with the underlings of those who exercise great authority, but not so with our King, He can meet alone with everyone of His subjects at the same time and in different places, because our King is also God. Psalm 145:13 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” And unlike our present world system where the lower that we are in the societal spectrum, the more difficult it is for us to reach those who are in authority, with our Eternal King is the opposite. Psalm 145:14 “The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.” No wonder David was praising God with such great exuberance, for what he is saying in this Psalm is that there is no god like our God. Psalm 145:3 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable (beyond our understanding).” So that it is always by faith; our righteousness comes by faith in His Word, our dealings with Him are always based on our faith of His gracious works toward us, and by faith we know that He is always near to us, for we know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And that’s the truth, so let us call upon Him in truth, for He hears us. Previous Next

  • WHEN YOU SEEK THE LORD: ZEPHANIAH 2 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

WHEN YOU SEEK THE LORD: ZEPHANIAH 2 The objective of this teaching is to exhort believers to seek the Lord with humility, righteousness, and faith in order to be hidden and preserved from the wrath of God that will come upon the world in the day of the Lord. It emphasizes the necessity of repentance, walking in meekness, and clinging to God’s promises so that His people may escape judgment and instead inherit His blessings. WHEN YOU SEEK THE LORD: ZEPHANIAH 2 Minister Lisa Kane August 21, 2024 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to exhort believers to seek the Lord with humility, righteousness, and faith in order to be hidden and preserved from the wrath of God that will come upon the world in the day of the Lord. It emphasizes the necessity of repentance, walking in meekness, and clinging to God’s promises so that His people may escape judgment and instead inherit His blessings. Synopsis: This teaching from Zephaniah 2 stresses the urgent call to seek the Lord before the day of His anger arrives. By examining key terms in the King James translation, it reveals the deeper meaning of seeking God through prayer, worship, humility, and righteous living. Lisa Kane explains that the “day of the Lord” refers to a future period of tribulation and judgment, when those who reject Christ will face God’s wrath, while those who seek Him now will be hidden and protected. The message illustrates how pride, arrogance, and idolatry lead to destruction, as seen in the downfall of nations and lineages throughout Scripture, while righteousness and meekness bring restoration and blessing. Listeners are urged to repent, embrace Christ, and live in humility so they may escape coming judgment. The teaching concludes with a prayer of salvation, underscoring God’s faithfulness to preserve His people and extend His grace to all who turn to Him. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this teaching on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless you, honor you, and thank you for your word. And we pray that we have ears to hear your word, that we apply your word, that we live by your word, and that we give you the glory, the honor, the praise, and the strength. For we know you are God of kings. You are God of lords. You are the great I am. Thank you. Thank you for helping us go along our journey of life because we know that you are here with us in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you and welcome. So, we're going to be talking about Zephaniah chapter 2 and the title of this message is when you seek the Lord. So, let's go to our opening scripture here. Uh, we're in chapter 2 verse three. Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. It may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger. So, as you can see, I've got some words bolded here. So, this is how I teach for those of you who are new. Uh take a look. I am teaching from the King James version. So the words in bold are King James version words. That's the translator of the King James chose that word to put there in English. Well, that word also has more meaning and other words that it can mean. So example here, seek it means to search out, strive after through worship and prayer. The word meek there means depressed, humbled, lowly. Rot means to do, make, practice, commit. Look at how judgment it means. Verdict. Look at what righteousness means. Right. Equity, prosperity, meekness is condensation, modesty, divine, and objective clemency. Gentleness, humility, and being hid is absent, kept closed or concealed. So, we're going to be talking about a little bit of end times, but we're really going to be focusing on seeking the Lord here. So the purpose of this teaching is there's a day coming that we as believers need to be hid and kept from the wrath of God on that day. So to be hid, Zephaniah is showing us the difference between being in the Lord and not being in the Lord. This is going to be very important because I want you to see the difference here because it's very clear. There is no mystery behind it and we can see this in everyday life. Okay? Okay. So, we're going to start with verses 1 and two. Um, gather yourselves together. Yeah. Gather together, O nation, not desired or pined after before the decree or the appointment bring forth before the day. That word day means warm hours. Basically, as the sun rises and the temperature warms up, that's the concept. And it starts to cool off as it as it eases to the end of the day. That's what the word day means. So it's uh that that 12-hour period if you will. So before the decree bring forth before the day passes the shaft before the fierce anger of the Lord come upon you before the day of the Lord's anger come upon you. So the day of the Lord so we're going to talk a little bit of end times here and I I want you to understand what is going on. So there's there's an undesired or wicked nation that's not being pined after. We we see this around the world. And so what the Lord is doing, he's talking to wickedness. He's talking to these people through Zephaniah. Zephaniah is a prophet. And as he's talking to them, he's saying, "Listen, this day is coming." So what is this day? This day is the day of the Lord. This is when God is going to pour out his wrath and judgment on the earth. He has not done that yet. a day. It it re it references the seven-year time period that's talked about in Revelation. Daniel talks about it. You can go read these. I've taught on it in the past. This day is not a good day. This time period is not a good time. And in fact, the the whole meaning behind this particular teaching is you need to avoid that time period. So, anyone who is alive when that day starts and that seven-year time period starts because day of the Lord is that starting day and it covers that entire seven-year period, you will be entering that time if you're alive in that day. If you don't believe, if you are not walking in the righteousness, you're not believing in Christ, you're himh hawing, if you will, uh if you think Jesus is just a good guy, was a good guy that lived many years ago. That kind of concept of thinking is going to leave you behind and you will have to go through the suffering time period of that seven years. Now, what I want you to understand about this time period is like the first five months, you can't die. And what's going to happen in that first five months is that these horselike creatures with scorpion tails are going to go and sting people because this people needs to suffer for rejecting Christ and entering this time period. And that's part of God's wrath that's coming in. So he's going to release the seven uh seven seals uh the trumpets, the BS, and each part is a wrath that is going to come into. Now, let me make something very clear here. At the end of this seven-year time period, it says man will be finer than of gold. Now, I don't know what that means. I know we have gold on this planet. I don't know what of gold is. Some sort of uh difference of gold. Uh but anyways, I know this When God flooded the earth in Noah's day, he only had four couples survive. That was Noah and his wife and then his three sons and their wives. That was it. That's all he needed to repopulate the earth. So when you come to this end of this seven-year time period, you're only going to have maybe three couples, four couples. That's it. So, anyone entering into this seven-year time period of God's wrath, it is hell on earth to hopefully wake you up and see what the Lord can do to save you in that time period. Now, we don't know. Don't let preachers and teachers tell you that you can still repent in that seven-year time period. Keep in mind, the church is gone. So, we're not preaching grace anymore because grace is done. It ends at the day of this Lord beginning. So since we're not going to be there and grace is not going to be there, I know from scripture that there's there's seven there's thunders that are going to speak and when they speak, they're going to speak to the people. And my guess is they're going to tell you how to get saved during that time period. But you can avoid that by accepting the grace of Jesus right now. He died on the cross for our sins. He rose from the grave three days later in victory. Now's the time to accept him, believe him, and let him save you. We've all been sinners. We've all been born in sin. We're all sinners. So, it's time to get saved. So, I really want you to catch this. I want you to understand it. This is what is being prophesied 2,000 plus years ago now. So, let's go to verse three, which was our opening scriptures. Read that again. Seek ye the Lord. So this is the concept of what he's saying. Listen, that day is coming. Now look what you need to do. He says, "Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment. Seek righteousness. Seek meekness. It may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger." In that day, there is the church is going to be raptured out, but I don't know when. Nobody knows the day nor the hour, but it is in that time period. And it's most likely in a seven to 10 days time period because God is a God of mercy. He is full of grace. And I can definitely see that he will pause because what's going to happen is if you're a believer in Christ, you're telling all of your loved ones, your family, your friends, your body of Christ, your church, your neighbors, you're letting them see God lead you, change you, walk in your life. You're setting an example. So when that day happens, these people are going to see it. These non-believers, guess who they're going to call? You and me. They're going to say, "Hey, you know what's going on?" You get to tell them and maybe at that moment you will have this opportunity to minister to them. And but see, while you're there, this entire earth is going through a major change. The earth is shaking. The sky is getting scrolled away. The unbelievers that have their money, who built their bunkers, are running into them. You can go read Revelation 6. They're yelling at the at the rocks. Fall on us. Kill us. We because that day is here. They're recognizing it. They're They know it. So, we're to be hid while all that is going on. So, maybe they can't even reach us during that time. I don't know. But we're safe. God has us in a safe place. Remember Rahab on the uh walls of Jericho? They saved her. Her house stayed standing while all the rest of the walls fell. So, that is how we're going to be on that day until he returns. Now, in here in this first chapter in chapter 2, verse three, notice he's pointing out to righteousness and meekness. So, you've got to be right and have a humble heart. And isn't that what a ch a Christian goes through when you become a Christian? As the Lord changes you on the inside, you become more humbled. You recognize how much you're forgiven. Oh, and you want to cry all the time. Understand though that God is going to judge this world. If you go to Revelation 20, you look at verses 11 through 15, you're going to find the white throne judgment. And anyone's name that's not found in the book of life are cast into the lake of fire. That's reality of the situation. That is what's coming. This is prophesied, has been prophesied for many years since the Bible's been written. So, it's coming. Don't think that, oh, that's just old. It's never happened. Don't go there. Don't think that way. Now's the time to get saved. You want to avoid that seven-year time period. Let's look at verses four and five. For Gaza, the word Gaza there is the old word or Hebrew word aad. And it means strong city shall be forsaken which is loosened or destitute. And Ashcolon means a sense of a weighing place, a desolation. They shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day and that word Ashra means ravager and Echron which means eradication shall be rooted up. All these names are what they're descendants. So the parent had that child named that child. That child became a nation. Had a lot of kids and they became a nation. So you've got uh the children of Canaan and they're the Canaanites and so forth. You're going to see that here. All of those are just descendants, but they had a meaning to their name. And why the parent named them that it could be that some event happened. Paleleague, that word pale was a name of a child given at the time of Nimrod. Say when a great earthquake, the the earth came apart. That's when the continents came into existence. Well, that word pale means shaking and rushing of water coming up. Why? Because the continent is separated. Water came in between and filled it up. That happened at that time after the Tower of Babel. So, you can go check that out if you'd like and look that up. But they give you these names that mean these things. So, you're seeing this Echron, which is eradication, shall be rooted up. Verse five, woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherites. They're an executioner or the sense of an executioner. The word of the Lord is against you, oh Canaan, which means humiliated. If you go read about Noah when he was uh at first living after the flood, there was an event that happened with his um son Ham. And anyways, they're cursed and humiliated. And Canaan is a son of Ham. You can go read that and find out. This is this is obviously talking about that. And and keep in mind this is what put a curse that particular curse a curse of perversion um or sexual immorality was on Cain and Ham. That curse has been with their generation since. And until that person breaks that curse in their lineage, they are uh under that curse. Uh I don't know what was in my heritage and my lineage. Um, I know that there was suicide and um, drugs, alcohol, that kind of thing. So, what I do know is that it is broken and it broke with my dad. Then he got his father and his mother saved and then I'm his child. It's broken with me. That is not part of this. I, in fact, depression tried to come on me 30 plus years ago and I kicked his butt and I've shared that testimony in many of my teachings. and uh my my daughter is broken this. So it it's been a broken curse. Well, you're seeing the lineage here in Zephaniah. And he's addressing it. And watch what he's saying very carefully. He's saying the land of the Philistines, which means migratory. By the way, Palestine and Philistines, it's the same word. It's migratory. I don't know why they claim that that land is theirs when they've been migrating from land to land. Anyways, that's beside the point. The land was of Israel was given to uh Israel by God. Amen. Uh I will even destroy thee that there shall be no inhabitant. So he is addressing the sin in the land. He is saying here is this sin and because of the sin that is in the land you are cursed. I'm going to I'm going to break I'm going to destroy you. So he he mentioned Gaza, Ashcolon, Ashdod, Echron, Cherites, Canaan and the Philistines. They worship other gods. They have this genealogy curse on them. And he's saying they will be destroyed. This is what happens when you don't seek the Lord God, the God of gods, King of kings, Lord of lords. He's the only one. So these two scriptures in particular are showing us the difference between seeking God and seeking other things in lie of Yahweh. So I have a question for you right here in the middle of this teaching. Which one are you doing? Who are you following? Is this world more important to you or is God? You know, I fasted a few weeks ago for someone that the Lord had me fast for and the conversation that the Lord and I kind of had there was oh uh you know as I was trying to not do it turning over because he's telling me in my sleep and uh finally I don't know it's the Holy Spirit or me I don't know but the the the sentence the structure the voice was saying what's more important food or saving a soul and of course there was no brain no brainiac thinking there. I obviously went and did the fasting, but it's just interesting how your mind goes through this as a human being. We don't want to do these things, but we have to lives are at stake. These curses are in place still today. That day is coming. So, we have to stand in line with God. We have to choose him. He is more important than anything else in this world. And that includes food. All right, let's move on to verses six and seven. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds and folds for flocks. Enclosure is what the word fold means. And the coast shall be for the remnant or remainder of the house of Judah. And the word Judah means celebrated. They shall feed thereupon. In the houses of Ashcolon shall they lie down in the evening for the So Judah is going to lie down in the Ashcolon area, the houses of the Ashcolon people. for the Lord their God shall visit them and turn away their captivity. So now you're seeing Judah is going to come back. Now keep in mind when Zephaniah wrote this, Judah and Israel were two separate uh entities. One had 10 tribes, one had two tribes. You can go take a look at that. This was um separated, but they now they're all back as one nation called Israel. But Judah is the one that was going to sit in the place of the where the Ashcolon. In other words, God is going to remove the evil and he's going to put his righteous people in there and that's exactly what he's going to do. So this is again this is God keeping his word. He kept his word. Look at Israel today. They are in the land. They are there and they are returned because God said he would do it and he did. Amen. Let's read verses eight and nine. I have heard the reproach of the disgrace of Moab in Setua son of Lot and the revilings or vilification of the children of Ammon tribal inbred a son of Lot. You see this is another descendant. The Moabites and the Ammonites come from Lot. Remember when Lot was taken out of Sodom and Gomorrah and he went and lived in a cave in Zoir, he his daughters got him drunk and they sex with him and they had offspring from him. So they have incestual um curses on them embedding in them. So whereby they have reproached my people and magnify themselves against their border. Another way of saying that is they're making themselves look really big and strong, but it's a trick of the mind. They're trying to trick you to see that they're bigger, they're loftier. Yeah, we got it. We know. They're they're puffing themselves up when in reality they don't. They might and they might believe what they're doing, too. You never know. Verse nine, therefore, as I live, sayith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, surely Moab shall be as Sodom. Interesting because isn't that where Lot came from? as Sodom and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah. Notice what the word Sodom and Gomorrah mean, scorch, burn, and heap, even the breeding of nettles and salt pits and a perpetual desolation, devastation, astonishment. In other words, when you walk through where Sodom and Gomorrah is by the um salt um see over there, that is an area of still all desolation. And you can go actually find the little uh sulfur balls that are still there from the day they were destroyed. Uh the residue or remainder portion of my people shall spoil or plunder them and the remnant of my people shall possess inherit them. So again here he's saying if you're going to live in this sin I'm going to destroy you and you are going to be replaced with my righteous people. That's exactly what he's doing. God is reinforcing what he's been saying in this entire scripture. He is scripture. He's saying it again and again. He's pointing out the nationality or origins. He's showing he's dealt with him and he's giving the land to his people to plunder and possess. So, in other words, if you have a curse on you because you're living in sual immorality or whatever sin you're living in, all of that is leaving you and going to the righteous people. And keep in mind just because I'm not of Israel. I am a righteous person standing with God. He calls me that. So the plunder I have the plunder and the possessions around me of what others should have. But because they live in sin, it was taken from them and he's given it to me. Now this is where you have the opportunity to repent. get your life back in order with God so that you can have the possession, the inheritance of what he's given you, and you can avoid the seven-year time period of God's wrath. Amen. Let's go to verses 10 and 11. This shall they have for their pride. Oh, here comes the word pride, arrogance, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people, the Lord of hosts. That's what I was referring to earlier. They're making it look like they're bigger. They're tricking you. They're full of pride. They can't even tell that. They got to remember God is the one in control. They're so far off. They can't tell. And look at what's going to happen to them though once they're going to fall. You're going to see this. Verse 11. The Lord will be terrible or fear unto them. For he will famish. They're going to become thin all the gods of the earth. And men shall worship, depress, prostrate him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the heathen. And let's remember what Proverbs says. Proverbs 16:18, "Pride goeth before destruction and a hotty spirit before a fall." This is very very important that you understand what is going on here. We are seeing that the root of the evil that is in the hearts and the minds of the people is pride. And the moment you think you're above everyone else, including God, you're going to fall. And notice, he's going to starve them. They're going to be famished thin because of the fear they have within them once they realize who God is. And they will realize who God is. If you look at prophecy and everything that happens, even at that great earthquake that I referred to where the sky scrolls away at the end when all those people are calling rocks fall down, says they will know that he is God. They will. It doesn't mean they're going to believe and accept. They're just going to know that he's God because he's the one with all the power and the authority. He's the one who created this world. We should have some respect for that. Amen. Let's go to verses 12 and 13. Ye Ethiopians also ye shall be slain by my sword. And Ethiopia is descendants of Kush. And he will stretch out his hand indicating power against the north hidden dark quarter. That's what that word north means. Interesting. And destroy Assyria and will make Nineveh a desolation, a drylike wilderness. Look at this. Uh, Assyria means successful, second son of Shem, Ashure. Nineveh, he was founded by a guy named Nine. So, they called it Nine place, but uh that also means fish place. So, he's just saying, and notice what he says, by my sword. That means a drought. I want you to see something here that is so very powerful because it's still applicable to today. Remember, the the day of the Lord has not happened. So more nations are in sin and they are being dealt with by drought. What do we see in the world today? Severe drought going on. So when you seek the Lord, you're asking the Lord for rain, right? Remember Elijah held back the rain because of what Ahab and Jezebel did. David found out why he was having three and a half years of reign because of what co uh King Saul did with his blood curse. We I taught that in the teaching with Rispah and the women of the Bible uh women of the Bible series. So the nations are going to be in drought until they repent and then they have to turn back to the Lord in hopes before the day of the Lord comes upon them that they would get saved. Now I don't think the nations are going to that's your leadership behind the nations. We can see the evil wickedness in our leadership. We can see them rejecting the rules. The Pope just recently announced that it's okay to bless homosexual marriages. That is uh an abomination from the Bible. And I don't know if the Pope has read the Bible in all honesty, but this is the direction things are going in which was prophesied in scripture. This is everything that's been prophesied. There's nothing mysterious or hidden here. Let's read the last two verses here in um Zephaniah. So chap uh chapter 2:es 14 and 15. And flock shall lie down in the midst of her. All the beasts of the nations both the corarant and the midturn their birds or species of birds shall lodge in the upper lentils of it. Their voice shall sing in the windows. Desolation shall be in the thresholds for he shall uncover the cedar work. This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly that said in her heart, I am and there is none besides me. How has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in? Everyone that passeth by her shall hiss and wag his hand. And by the way, that prophecy has come true. Uh during the time when Israel was separated, Mark Twain, Samuel Clemens, he wrote that the land was desolate and devoid of inhabitants when he went through there. That's what Zephaniah prophesied and that's exactly what happened. So the travelers that go through there, they're walking through this area. They saw it desolate and they were look at how bad this place is. I don't want to be here. This is what happened. Remember, Israel and Judah were following after these gods. This is why God separates, sent them away. But then God brought them back and they've been a nation since 1948. Jerusalem has been back since 1967. We know that was prophesied. And no other nation has come back like that. But this is what God has done. Now he's blessing his people today. Israel is the fourth largest nation to provide food for the world. You see this is what happens when you seek God Almighty. Zephaniah is saying seek the Lord. Get in that secret place with him. Ask him questions. Believe. Talk with him. He's alive and well. Just because you can't see him, that's your act of faith. You know, I there's times I go, "Lord, Lord, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't understand." That's okay. He does reveal the answer though when it's time. And see, when you do seek the Lord and you come back, you're repenting. You are the one setting the example and showing the Lord how showing the world how to be Christlike, how to walk under righteousness and godliness with our heavenly father. because now is the time to repent. So as someone who lives in this time of grace, we are in a dispensation of grace. What do we preach? What do we teach? We teach forgiveness. Jesus says, "Whatever you forgive, I will forgive." So I forgive just like he would. And he said, "I judge no one." He's going to come back in the end and he will be king and he will judge. But until then, he's forgiving, forgiving, forgiving until the day of the Lord comes. You do not want to go in the day of the Lord. You don't want to have any part of that. Today, now is the time to repent. Let's pray. I want you to repeat this prayer with me. Okay? So, I will pause allowing you to repeat it. Dear Jesus, I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I'm sorry I messed up, but I want to get right with you today and every day going forward. Help me to read your word, to understand your word, and to live by your word. And keep me from your day of wrath that is coming in Jesus' name. Amen. That's what it takes. Repent. turn your life around and avoid that time period. It is going to be hell, literally hell on earth. And keep in mind, hell is even worse than that. And since most people are going, I'd say 95 plus% of the world is going to die in that time period, might as well accept the Lord and go in the rapture. It's a better option. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next

DO YOU WANT TO BE FREE? Minister Lisa Kane September 15, 2023 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal how unbelief, misplaced trust, and personal choices create barriers that keep believers in bondage. By using Scripture, testimony, and practical illustrations, the message aims to help Christians recognize these obstacles, strengthen their faith, and walk in the freedom that Jesus Christ has already provided. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane challenges believers with the powerful question: “Do you want to be free?” Drawing from John 12:40 and other Scriptures, she explains how hardened hearts and unbelief prevent many from experiencing healing, peace, and deliverance. Just as rulers in Jesus’ day valued the approval of men over God, many today place more trust in doctors, medication, or worldly systems than in Christ as their ultimate healer. Lisa shares her personal testimony of overcoming depression and later walking away from dependence on multiple medications, illustrating how faith in Jesus—rather than reliance on man’s report—brings true freedom. She shows how unbelief blinds people, while faith, strengthened through God’s Word and testimonies, releases healing and restoration. Through biblical examples of the disciples’ hardened hearts and the miracles Jesus performed, Lisa emphasizes that unbelief limits God’s work, but faith unlocks His power. The message concludes by urging believers to make a choice: let go of fear, doubt, and self-imposed chains, and fully trust Jesus as Lord over their health, mind, and life. True freedom comes when we believe His Word, speak it with authority, and walk in the victory already secured through the cross. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Friday, September 15, 2023. Welcome. This message is called, "Do you want to be free?" It's a very good question to ask because did you know that you're putting your own obstacles in front of your freedom? Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We know that your word does not return void. We know that your word is true. We know that we can believe and have faith in you, Father God. So, I do pray and ask that you help us with our unbelief. Raise our faith. Raise our belief and let us hear your testimony and know that you are true and that you are real. And that yes, we can live in freedom from bondage from sickness, from disease, from any chains that are holding us back in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to be at John 12 and 40. He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn so that I should heal them. Jesus is talking, but he's also quoting the scripture from Isaiah. So, he's already said this through Isaiah well before his crucifixion at the cross. So the question is do you want to be free? There are things that we put in place of Jesus will believe a doctor's report over what Jesus says. Now in this message I'm going to share my testimony. Uh I have a couple areas of testimony I want to share with you. So I'm going to have less scriptures than I ordinarily do when I teach. But I think the power of the testimony is going to help you with your faith. And then at the same time, I'm going to show you scripture of why how Jesus was able to heal and then how he wasn't able to heal and the things that we put in place. So I want to see the scripture one more time. Look at this. He blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts un lest they should see with their eyes. So in other words, if you see, look at that. And if you understand with your heart and you turn, get away from what you're keeping yourself in bondage from so that I should heal them. You can be healed. You see, your unbelief is what's keeping you from being healed. Let's go look at things that we put above Jesus that keeps us from our healing. Let's start here in John 12:42 and 43. Nevertheless, even among the rulers. So he's talking about all these things that he did that were miracles and he says nevertheless. So these guys saw the miracles. Nevertheless, even among the rulers, many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees, they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue, for they love the praise of men more than the praise of God. They didn't want to be kicked out of the synagogue. So instead of believing in him for one, their salvation, for eternal life, but two, for the deliverance and the healing from whatever is keeping them bonded, they chose the synagogue to believe. We can put this in another application. Do you choose the doctor? Do you believe what the doctor tells you? Or do you believe that Jesus is your doctor and your healer? You know, Isaiah tells us that it was by his stripes we are healed. Peter tells us that it was by his stripes we were healed. Fact that it's quoted a second time is very powerful. His stripes is what healed us. You can be healed. And bondage um let's talk a little bit about bondage chains. When you're in bondage, there's several things that are going on. You are struggling believing. You're struggling being well because you're always sick. You're struggling with things that are going on in your life. I It's drama after drama after drama and you can't figure out why. You have no peace and no joy. Those are telltale signs that you are in bondage. And you're in bondage because of you. You did it. You thrive on that drama. So what happens is you put yourself in a situation where you make it so that drama happens more. I know of a couple who is struggling right now and um so working on helping prevent divorce. The other is now going to try to film the other. You see they're promoting their drama. They're getting sympathy for their drama. And because they're getting that sympathy, they don't want that drama to go away. And then of course, if the doctor's telling you you have cancer, you know, there's things going on in the back of your mind. The reason you went in to be tested, you knew something was up. So here you are is you already are thinking in your mind, I knew it. That's why the report says what it says. Don't you know that Jesus is a healer? He's your healer. The bonds and then the the decisions that you make, you know, if you were to remove that item from your life, would you get sympathy and love from anyone else in the world? You see, there's a big problem. We love the interaction with our psychiatrist. It's our friend. We want to be there. Instead of having the same interaction only better with Jesus, you pick and you choose and you put yourself in bondage. So when you do something like that, what is it that you need to do to get out of that? Because it's now your problem. You did it. You got to get yourself out. Now Jesus is there to help you, but he's already given you all the tools in the word of God. And I'm going to show you even the disciples struggled with this. Well, let's let's go here to Mark 6:52. For they had not understood about the loaves because their heart was hardened. Just did a teaching on this. This is where he taught the five or fed the 5,000 um five loaves and two fish I believe it was. And as they had 12 baskets left over of food, bread and fish, and the disciples hearts were hardened. They didn't pause. They didn't think about it. They didn't let it impact their heart. So, they didn't believe, but they were witnesses to it. So, Jesus is identifying the hardness of their heart. Let's continue on. Now, further along, we're in Mark 8. Look at verses 17- 21. But Jesus being aware of it said to them, "Why do you reason because you have no bread?" So here they're going into um an area that they're going to teach and the disciples forgot to bring bread. They've already fed 5,000. Look what he says here. Why do you reason because you have no bread? You see Jesus asked a question here about the leaven and the Pharisees. You can go read this all in context. Homework for you is what I give you. And because their heart, their mind went to, oh, he found out we forgot the bread. And so he he knows, he says, look, why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Is your heart still hardened? You see, he's telling you, you are just witnesses to some pretty good miracles, and your heart is still hardened. Does Does miracles really work? Do you know how many people will reject a video that they see? Let's say even in the back of my mind, I saw a video of a woman's arm being restored. It was um she was born with it twisted and and but you can just see it untwisted, but sometimes I wonder is that fake? But I I always go back to no, that was real. And I believe and the reason I see that is because of the the other context behind the video. So, I believe, but there are many who won't. They'll say that's a hoax. This one wasn't a hoax. Let's continue on. Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? You see, he's now pointing it back to the disciples. This is your problem. You're the one who is purposely forgetting. You're the one who is purposely hardening your heart. Now, continue on with the scripture. We're in verse 19. When I broke the five loaves for the 5,000, how many baskets full of fragments did you take of it? And they said to him, 12. And then also, when I broke the seven for the 4,000, "How many large baskets full of fragments did you take him?" And they said, "Seven." And he said to them, So he said to them, "How is it you do not understand?" You see, you should understand that's a miracle. Jesus blessed bread and he kept giving it out. Imagine if you bless your body with good health. It keeps getting blessed and it keeps getting multiplied. Do you not see the healing? All it takes is you blessing yourself and remembering. Imagine saying Jesus is the son of God. And he is Lord over cancer. He is Lord over this body. He is Lord over my mind. He is Lord over my heart. This is the power of the word of God. And you need to remember it because as you forget, your hearts become hardened. And what happens when you're forgetting? What's causing you to forget? Your eyes are on the world. Your eyes are not on the scripture. Your eyes are not remembering. This is why I want to share my testimony. one, I want to remember what the Lord has done in my life. At the same time though, I want you to hear the testimony and I want you to believe because you were already healed. You're already free. You're free. You just don't know it yet, but you already are. And your words can make you free. Look at Matthew 13:57 and 58. So they were offended at him. These are the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and these are the people in his own hometown. He grew up with these people. This is Jesus in his own town. Look what he says. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house. Now he did not do many works there because of their unbelief." So your unbelief prevents God from healing you. You see, you choose to believe the doctor. You don't choose to believe Jesus. And because of that decision, you are now in unbelief. Did you hear that? I want you to remember this. You're now in unbelief. Well, how do I get out of that unbelief? You You've got to now make a new decision. You need to undo the decision you made. You have to forget. See, he's you already know how to forget. Forget what the doctor told you. If you can forget Jesus and his testimonies and his power of his word, you can certainly forget the doctor. You believe it so much you don't want to forget. You believe it so much that you hold on to it dear for dear life. So when people at church pray over you, you're like, "Oh, I just can't. I know it ain't going to work. Why am I here? This is embarrassing. Do you see what you're doing to your own life? And then you wonder why you're in the situation. Look to yourself. Look to your unbelief. This is very, very powerful. I want to show you something else here. Mark 16:14. Later he appeared to the 11. This is after he rose from the dead. Okay? He is risen from the dead. Watch what he says to his disciples later. He appeared to the 11 as he sat at the table and he rebuked he rebuked his own disciples. Jesus is rebuking you right now for your lack of unbelief or your lack of belief as unbelief. And he rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen. The people are telling he's risen. He's risen. No, I don't believe it. I saw him die. And and that is their physical proof that they're believing. They're now believing their own eyes, their own witness. I saw him die. They didn't remember what he said to them. They were in unbelief. You know what that is? In order for you to remember what Jesus says, you have to spend time in the Bible over and over again until it impacts here and here. That's the only way you're going to remember what he says. This is part of the relationship factor that you need to have. This is also the part that leads you to freedom. You do not need to be in bondage. You see, he's going to teach you in that relationship how to use your words to prevent you from getting into the situation and then to undo what you've already done. You did this. Now, I want to show you um another event that Jesus dealt with. Uh we're going to do this from Matthew 14:34 and 36. I want you to see how this goes. When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Guanesseret. And when the men of that place recognized him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to him all who were sick, and begged him that they might only touch the hem of his garden garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Now, we just saw where they didn't believe and he couldn't do any miracles because they didn't believe. Now he's in a region that says they believed and they were bringing the sick left to him, left and right to him. You had the woman with the issue of blood. If only I could touch the hem of his garment. You saw that referring to her there. You you have the situation where two men brought their paralyzed friend and had to climb the roof and open the roof and bring him down in front of Jesus for Jesus to heal him. And you know what? in the woman with the issue of the blood and this paralyzed man. Jesus didn't heal them. He said your ma your faith made them healed. Well, they were whole because of their faith. They believed because they were hearing testimonies and to them all they had to do was get them to Jesus and all Jesus did was acknowledge your faith healed them. In other words, you got to get to Jesus. Find your way into the word of God. Read and believe. And I mean believe it from cover to cover. And don't believe it as stories. Believe it as events. As of the living word of God that these are true events. This is history written and that you can speak it and have it over your life. Now why did this group of people believe? There was testimony going around. Look Mark 5:16-17 and Luke 8 and37. And those who saw it told him how it happened to him who had been demonpossessed and about the swine. Then they began to plead with him to depart from the region. Do you see it? Go read the event of Jesus casting out a demon called Legion. And that he told the legion they can go into these pigs. And the pigs ran off the cliff and were killed. Those people that saw that said, "You need to leave." Look it. They began to plead with him to depart from their region. They saw this powerful miracle. They see this miracle. They see power. They see authority. And they say, "Get away. I don't want to have anything to do with you." Look also in Luke 8:37. Then the whole multitude of the surrounding region of the gatherines asked him to depart from them for they were seized with great fear and he got into the boat and returned. Now he's going to return to the other side. He had crossed this uh lake went from one side to the other. He cast out this demon. They didn't believe. They said get go away. So he goes back to the other side. In the meantime that demonpossessed man asked you and this is Homer. I want to give this to you because I want to share my testimony and give the time for the testimony. He this demonpossessed man who's now free. He's no longer in bondage. He asked Jesus, "Can I go with you?" Jesus said, "Stay here. I need you to tell I want you to show yourself to the people and I want you to tell them what happened to you." And so he stayed. And so when, watch this, Luke 8:38-4. Now the man from whom the demons had departed begged him that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, "Return to your own house and tell what great things God has done for you." And he went his way and proclaimed the throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him. So it was when Jesus returned that the multitude welcomed him for they were all await. They were all waiting for him. Now they sent him out. They were afraid. Now they're welcoming him because they're finally realizing this man is truly healed. And if he was healed, I can be healed. Now, when Jesus was quoting Isaiah earlier, look at what else is in that same chapter or earlier in Isaiah, excuse me, Isaiah 610. Make the heart of this people dull and their ears heavy and shut their eyes. Look at this. Lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and return and be healed. You can be healed if your eyes you can see with your eyes. You can hear with your ears. You understand in your heart and return. Return to who? Return to Jesus. Now Isaiah is talking to the nation of Israel. He's telling them to return to God. Same thing. Jesus is saying return to me and I can heal you. You have to deal with your unbelief. So let's talk about belief and decisions. And and I'm going to go into my testimony. Let me go to my earliest testimony. So over 30 years ago, I was dealing with depression. Didn't even know it. All I know is for about three weeks there, I was an ugly person. very ugly. And I went to the Lord and you know I always had a relationship with the Lord. I became a believer when I was six years old. I was water baptized when I was nine. And um I'm a I was married at this point when I was doing this. So early on in my marriage, too. But anyways, I remember um praying to God. I always have time with the Lord, always share time with him. And um I asked, "What's going on with me?" And I clearly I hear and understand from him whether it's a voice in my head or what I don't know all I know is I hear and say depression and my first reaction was oh no no no no that's not who I am you see as a believer in Christ I already knew who I am and it was not a depressed individual I may not have been living in joy. Yes, I was a mother at the time. Yes, I was married. But I knew I'm not a depressed individual. So, I decided to go deal with it. I went up to my bedroom, told my husband, "Leave me alone for a little while. I got to deal with this." Shut the door, and uh I went before the Lord, prayed, and then I said out loud straight up, "Demon, depression, you're not welcome here in the name of Jesus." And then I said it again. And then I said it again because I wasn't seeing anything happening. And I was like, "Nope, nope. We're not done." And in the spirit, basically what I did was I grabbed that demon by the front of his shirt and I beat the living whatever out of him because I kept saying it over and over again. And I refused to let him stay there. This was my faith that I was building up with Jesus. And you know, I went to bed that night laying there because I still hadn't seen anything. I just knew it wasn't going to happen. I already knew, nope, not going to have this problem. And I'm laying there and I went to sleep, still thinking it in my mind. Fell asleep thinking it in my mind, saying it in my mind. Get out of here, de. You're not welcome here. That's it. That's it. When I woke up that next morning, I'm going tell you right now, you want to feel freedom, you need to do that. Do that over depression. Do that over any um suicidal thoughts you're facing, just keep saying that over and over again. Go to bed that way in the name of Jesus. Make sure you use the name of Jesus. I woke up feeling fantastic. There was no more darkness. There was no more depression in me. And in fact, my physical body felt like I had been in a boxing match. Remember I told you I grabbed it by the shirt? I bet every punch I hit him with, he hit one back at me. But you know what? I've never dealt with it again. It tries to creep up every once in a while and I I look at it like, I already kicked your butt. Get out of here. That is a testimony. And by the way, for anyone who has seen me later in life, didn't know me then, and you see me now, you know that I walk in joy. that I have a smile on my face often when I don't I may be dealing with something and I just go to the Lord and that is my testimony there. Now I've also have been teaching and saying that sin has consequences for diseases and that you need to cast them out but it has to do with unbelief and it has to do with the words that you say. So here comes the next part of my testimony and this just happened this year. This is why I'm teaching this. So remember the question of this message is do you want to be free? So I had surgery like 10 year uh in 2010 I had uh four discs fused in my neck. Technically I shouldn't be able to do any of that. Uh I remember seeing a particular doctor for some dizziness at one time and they make you move your head get the crystals back where they belong and what have you. And he's like wow you you have a lot of movement. You can move. I go yeah well I follow the instructions. instructions told me to stretch and and I believed the doctors, okay? I believed I trusted in the doctors. I've been going to the doctor since I was young. So, you know, but as time went on, uh I was told, you know, I had heart palpitations. They put me on a heart monitor. I had heart issues when my daughter was born. So, I always knew in my mind I was going to be dealing with the heart. I'm g tell you those words affect you. So I had these palpitations and uh they monitor gave me medication for it because there was proof. Remember what I said. Do you believe the doctors? Do you believe what you think you know is true? Here I was in that mentality and uh you know they get you in with that. I had a lot of bladder infections back then too and I had to deal with all of that. Always getting antibiotics, always going in, always asking questions. Why? Why? Why? Why? And then of course as they do your physical, well, we need to do your physical. Oh, your cholesterol is high. Oh, your sugar is high. Next thing I know, I'm on cholesterol medication and I was on um diabetes medication. And then, you know, I was having the hot flashes and menopause and what have you. Now I was on hormonal medication. That was me up to uh about March of this year, end of February, early March of this year. And uh I decided I didn't want to deal with that anymore. And and I knew I can overcome because you know what? After I had that next surgery, I probably was on that tramodol stuff for like six, seven years, painkiller. And I finally decided to stop taking that and I did fine, successful, you know, was a little tough there for a few days, but then get past it and move on. And I remember you know thinking all right I have overcome so many things why and it dawned on me you know why am I taking all these medications and I decided no nope nope here comes that attitude do what attitude do you have well the doctor said I'm gonna tell you right now I wouldn't trust and believe in the doctor for everything granted there are times that doctors are need you cut off your arm or something you need a doctor. Okay, cut off a toe. You need a doctor. But for other things, there's things that they don't know. And even, you know, when I say cut off an arm or a a toe, remember Peter, the ear of the servant, he cut off in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus picked up the ear and put it back on. He was healed. So don't let me limit you in what you can believe. Okay? Don't let yourself limit you on what you can believe either. gotta think God like if he can create this world. He's your doctor. So I decided, you know, if I can cast out depression, I can definitely cast out diabetes and cholesterol. And I tried. Spent the whole evening. Went to bed thinking that same thing. Woke up next morning, nothing happened. I was like, "What's going on, Lord?" So in February of this year, got out here. Uh, I went to um Missouri. We were looking for a place to live. We ended up moving out here and um we went to a church called James River Church. I went and got prayed over by one of the elders or prayer workers there. And you know, it's interesting what he tells me. He told me to do the exact same thing I had already done with depression. Go in, cast it out. Of course, he's telling me monitor your meter and watch it and watch the numbers come down. So, I go home. We get back to Southern California and I'm watching this meter. I did the same thing. Went cast it out. Watch the meter for the week and nothing happened. And I'm sitting there like, "All right, Lord. I don't know what's going on here, but something's up." And so I started praying and I was curious. I'm like, "Lord, you said I was already healed. I should be healed. This should have worked. I've been in prayer. I declared the name of Jesus. These are things I've been teaching and preaching, by the way, for many years. I should be able to apply his word to my life and live it free. I should not be in bondage to medications I have to take to make my body operate on earth that he made my body for. I shouldn't have allergies. I shouldn't have anything. I shouldn't even get a headache to to be honest. I should not. And I remember, you know, I started seeing videos come across my um social media feed, videos about the hoax of cholesterol. Found out in researching that the brain is coated in a layer of cholesterol. And the biggest side effect for cholesterol reducing medications was Alzheimer's. Now, I had seen my mother-in-law pass away from Alzheimer's and I was like, "Wait, what?" And by the way, I had been taking I finally uh for like two months there I took it every other day. I was getting lightheaded and I knew it was cholesterol medication because my diet was see I was already being healed and I didn't even realize what was going on and I was getting lightheaded and I remember the physician's assistant that I met with over diabetes, they go over all your other medications with you faithfully, too. Oh, why didn't you get your cholesterol filled? I go, well, I'm only taking one every other day now instead of one every day. Oh, you can't do that. Go make me lightheaded and oh, but we have to run tests to see. Um, anyways, I said, I I'll make an appointment with the doctor and got off the phone with her. And so I remember learning about that and uh you know realizing on that cholesterol things like uh I remember Barbara O'Neal talking about it coming from down from oh it used to be you can have a cholesterol number 300 then it was 200 then it was 196 and I was like are they picking numbers out of the hat or did they run some tests here and that was the thing is they could not provide the test that showed that it had anything to do with you know heart disease. And then um for the diabetes, the Lord was reminding me of some things. I was thinking of the conversation I had with my doctor previously. He was talking about people who are 80 years old and older and that their A1C can be 8.0, not a not below seven. He says the reason for that is because they get too laded and they can fall, break their hip. they're at a greater risk of that than heart disease. And I'm sitting there going, "Wait a second." And I pause. My my thought process all of a sudden went, "Wait a minute. They're 80 years old and older. They made an adjustment for them. Why didn't they make an adjustment between men and women? We're different sexes. We should have different levels. We're built different. We have different hormones. H why does it everybody has to be 7.0? And that's when I started realizing well 7.0 and lower for A1C. That's when I started realizing every time I hit that 6.9 they changed medication where I was back over seven because I got it down pat. I mean I was good with that medication. I was getting up faithfully every morning at 5 5:30 and my blood sugar was always around 80 79 to 81 always I I was hitting my targets believe you and me I was doing very well I had this down pat and even when they change your medication would take me about six months or so I'd get it back down but I'm realizing all of this and then there I was either driving to church or driving home and this is when the Lord I was praying And I was like, Lord, I'm not understanding what's going on here. And I said, why can't you make this meter match what the doctor's saying? And the epiphany was, I'm your god. I'm your doctor. Do you really think they know what your sugar levels should be? Do you really trust that they know what numbers your body is supposed to be? And I had this vision of like taking a Rolls-Royce to a Toyota Camry or Toyota company to fix a Rolls-Royce when in reality I should be taking back the car to its original maker company for service and repairs. And all of a sudden, I'm thinking, I didn't I'm not taking my body to Jesus. And then with all the epiphies I was having, it dawned on me. I didn't have diabetes to cast out in the first place. They were diagnosing me this just to put me on medication so they can make money and I have to live on this stuff. Do you know that was the only time I ever had any lows was when I was on medication. not with my natural body the way the Lord made it. So, in a leap of faith, and yes, it takes faith. And by the way, this was the hardest thing to do for me because I had done this before. And I failed at it. I'll just put it that way. But I put all those medication. I got rid of all the medications. I didn't refill any of them. Put them all down. Got rid of them all. I said, "No more, Lord. I'm not taking any of this. My body is in your hands." And do you know those doctors and those uh physicians assist assistants and thearmacies very faithful you don't fill your prescription they call you. We didn't move for another three months. And I remember uh not one single person reached out to me why I wasn't getting my medication. Because the demons, the familiar spirits around us, the ones that knew me, already knew I let go and my faith healed me. I was completely healed. I had no heart palpitations. Do you know there was a sign I have when I would wake up in the mornings and I'd have 80 as my uh sugar and uh my right ear would always drain. I I don't know why it would do that. When it got low, when my blood sugar get low, I knew right away because the right ear was draining. Well, after I put all that down, guess what? My right ear was still draining. And I said, "Ah, Lord, my body is fine. My body was never broken to begin with because I believed a lie. I believed what the doctor said. And the doctor has no idea what he or she is been trained to put you on. They think they're doing you a good job to save you from heart attacks and what have you. You know, if you're having heart issues, take a little bit of water, put like a eighth of a teaspoon of cayenne pepper in there, and just chug it. I promise you, you will not have any heart issues anymore after that. It It works with your blood flow. It clears your cholesterol. It clears it all. And I've done that. And you only have to do that, especially if you're coming from where it's been bad and you weren't doing that. Take a few days. Do it once a day and you're ready to go. Anytime you start to feel like a little sharp pain in your heart, fix them some, and you're perfectly fine. Your body, the herbs that the Lord has provided from the earth is here to heal you. So, what do you believe? Do you want to be free? You know, are you believing what the doctors are telling you? I promise you, I went through this and I am a walking testimony to tell you that I'm free. I'm not in chains, bound to this earth and the way it lives. I'm already living my eternity with the Lord. I just haven't got there yet out of my flesh. But one day I will. This flesh will die. It it dies. You know, all of the raising from the dead that Jesus did, all those people, they died again. Lazarus had to die again. The bones that were laid on Elisha, he was raised from the dead, he he died again. The 12-year-old girl in this uh scene here in this uh event period of time that I talked about with the Legion, she was one of the ones that was healed here. trying to think it was Jaire's daughter and she was healed. Um she was dead. God raised her from the dead. She had to die again eventually. We all are appointed to die. So the only way you're not going to age to die is when you eliminate sin out of your life. And you're thinking, I can't do that. Actually, you can. Do you know that I spend time with the Lord every and every time you spend time with him? You're not sinning. So, do you want to spend time in the world or do you want to spend time in the word of God? Again, this is your choice. You're the one who's putting yourself in your situation. I promise you that even if you take out all the drama, you take out all the medical stuff, you will have an awesome relationship with the one you can trust, who will never stab you in the back. SOUL IDENTITY: THE REAL YOU The objective of Soul Identity: The Real You is to reveal the divine design and true identity of the human soul as created by God, to expose the lies of Satan that distort and fragment that identity, and to demonstrate how God’s Word restores and redeems the soul to its original purpose and beauty. This teaching calls believers to recognize their worth in Christ, renounce the lies of the enemy, and walk in the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. SOUL IDENTITY: THE REAL YOU Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of Soul Identity: The Real You is to reveal the divine design and true identity of the human soul as created by God, to expose the lies of Satan that distort and fragment that identity, and to demonstrate how God’s Word restores and redeems the soul to its original purpose and beauty. This teaching calls believers to recognize their worth in Christ, renounce the lies of the enemy, and walk in the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. Synopsis: In Soul Identity: The Real You, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores Psalm 139 as a profound revelation of God’s intricate workmanship in creating the human soul. He explains how each soul is uniquely woven together by God with strands of personality, will, and emotion—forming a divine identity that reflects God’s glory. Yet, just as a knitted garment can unravel when snagged, so too can the soul become fragmented by the lies of Satan, which tear at its integrity and distort its original design. Pastor Marcos highlights the contrast between lies that break and bruise the soul and the Truth of God’s Word that heals and restores. Drawing from David’s psalms, Job’s struggles, and the New Testament teachings of Jesus, he shows how words—whether truthful or deceitful—carry the power to shape or shatter a soul’s reality. He reminds us that our real identity is not what the world says we are, but who God says we are. The lesson emphasizes that the enemy’s earliest and most destructive lie is that life has no value or purpose. But God, as the Everlasting Father, affirms every believer’s worth and destiny. Pastor Marcos explains that through Christ’s sacrifice—His stripes for our outward sins and His bruises for our inward wounds—our fragmented souls can be made whole again. Finally, the message calls believers to renounce every lie they have believed, replace it with the liberating truth of God’s Word, and embrace their eternal identity as God’s children. To know the “real you” is to know that your soul originated from God, is sustained by His Spirit, and is destined for everlasting life in Him. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 139:14 “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139 gives us a great deal of details into the creation of the human soul and its complexities, it also speaks volumes of how God is able to bring forth a brand new soul out of nothing into existence. Psalm 139:13 “For You formed my inward (invisible soul) parts; You covered (wove me, like knitting a garment) me in my mother’s womb.” Our souls, like our physical bodies, are made of many individual parts that are designed to work together in unity to form the whole person. Unlike the physical body which is comprised of diverse organs within a skeletal frame that’s held together with muscles and sinews, our souls are knitted together out of a consortium of different strands of personality traits, wills, and emotions, that come together to form the person that we become with its unique identity and temperament. And just like a knitted garment that snags on a sharp object and ends up pulling on one or more of the strands, which ends up in distorting the complexity and beauty of the original piece, so it is with the human soul. Psalm 139:19-20 “Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men (men of bloodshed who tear at the soul with lies). For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain.” Suddenly the beauty of Psalm 139 is abruptly interrupted by what it seems like an out of place rant by David, but if we understand that what tears apart the human soul is the lies that the enemy continuously utters against it, then we can appreciate the importance of David’s words in regards to what causes the human soul to become fragmented, and in turn, we can learn what it takes to put it back together again. Job 19:2 “How long will you torment my soul, and break me (my soul) in pieces with words?” Words of Truth are not only the governor of the soul, but its liberator as well. It cannot get any simpler than that, the lying words of Satan are designed to fragment the human soul to such an extent that it causes such a soul to lose its original design and it makes it out to become a fraudulent entity, a distorted copy of what once was an original and exquisite design created in the image and to the glory of God. David was an expert when it came to understanding his soul, and why he behaved at times in a manner inconsistent with the anointing that he had upon his life, listen to what he says in Psalm fifty-one. Psalm 51:5 “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.” David understood that from his mother’s womb Satan had been at work to pervert the original personality that God intended for David to be, that is why within the beauty of Psalm 139 he abruptly inserts his call of condemnation against the wicked ones and their lying distortions and calls on God to slay them for profaning the beauty of the Lord’s name. Since we were all created, within our souls, in the image of the invisible God, every time that there is a tampering against our soul’s original make up, it is done as a disrepute against the Maker, who stamps His brand name on each and every one of us, that is why David states the following: Psalm 51:4 “Against You, You only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight—that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge.” David knew that his sin with Bathsheba had caused harm against many innocent others, but what he means when he says to God that, against You, and You only have I sinned, David is recognizing that the only brand name that He impugned by his actions was God’s name, and by David making a public acknowledgment of Satan’s tampering with what God had originally made good, David in a sense sets out to clear God’s name, that is why he adds: that You may be found just when You speak, and blameless when You judge. So that the burden is on us, when we do not live up to God’s original design, to recognize that it is the lies of the devil that we believed that caused us to cast ill repute upon the veracity of God’s Word. Psalm 89:32 “Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquities with stripes.” Jesus suffered both, stripes and bruises, at the hands of His executioners on our behalf, the stripes symbolized that which was visible, in our case, our sinful actions that are there in the open for everyone to see. The bruises symbolized the hidden areas within our souls that caused us to sin in the first place. The blunt trauma that a person suffers when struck by a rod is not immediately seen until much later when a bruise appears. Job said that his tormentors were breaking his soul to pieces with their words of accusation. Lies break, bruise, and deform the human soul, but on the other hand, Truth heals the soul the same way that the medicated ointment heals the visible stripes, but Truth has to be applied to the deep inward parts that comprise our human souls. Psalm 51:6 “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden part (the real you, not who or what you have become) You will make me to know wisdom (liberating Truth).” Can you imagine that, the real us has been hidden from us all these years by the lies that the devil has perpetrated against us, and we like fools just followed along with those lies, believing something about us that was never true. Psalm 51:14 “Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.” Remember what David says in Psalm 139:19-20, he tells those bloodthirsty men to depart from him, for they are profaning the Lord’s name with their wicked lies. After David renounces them, then he asks the Lord to deliver his soul from the blood shedding guilt of believing and following along with their wicked lies. How do I know what wicked lies the devil has perpetrated against me? Boy, where do we start? Let us start at the beginning, within the womb. Job 3:3, 11 “May the day perish on which I was born, and the night in which it was said, ‘a male child is conceived’...Why did I not die at birth? Why did I not perish (expire, had the spirit of life leave me) when I came from the womb?” I found out from an early age that the devil’s problem with me had more to do with where I was than with who I was. You see, I was not born out there in outer space or in another planet, no, I was born here on the earth. I’m an earthling, my soul was placed within a physical body and told to occupy time and space while here on this earth, the place from where the physical body that I indwell was made out of, the dust of the earth. Had my body been void of a soul when it was born, the devil wouldn't have a problem with it, it would be no more than an unreasoning animal occupying space. For you see my soul, what makes me who I really am is foreign in nature, it originated with God, and it is a product of His Spirit. As long as I am here on this earth I have authority over the piece of the earth that I live in, because I live in a body that was taken from this earth, the devil is here illegally on this earth, and I have authority, as a human, to expel him from the territory that I occupy. So that the first lie that the devil tries to instill in every human is that we should had never been born, that is what was at the root of his attacks against Job’s reasoning soul. By destroying everything that Job possessed and then blaming God for it. The devil’s aim was for Job to commit suicide, in other words, exit the territory over which Job had dominion. Job 2:9 “Then his (Job’s) wife said to him, ‘Do you still hold fast to your integrity? (our soul’s foundation) Curse God and die (kill yourself)!’” The devil even got Job’s wife to doubt her own husband’s integrity, imagine how much those words of her cut deep into Job’s heart, is no wonder in the next chapter he curses the very day that he was born. Our carnal human nature always wants to quit, run away or give up, and if it cannot escape the trials, then it seeks solace in the belief that it should have never been born, but the soul within its original make up is not a quitter, it does not think in terms of beginning and ending, for it has an eternal nature and it cannot be killed, since it originated from God. Since our souls instinct is to resist quitting or giving up, the only option that the devil has left against our souls is to fragment it. That is to divide it with a lie that diminishes our soul’s great potential to exert God’s dominion over all of the devil’s usurped authority that he stole from the first man, Adam. Our present world system has been built on a lie, the reality that we perceived as we were growing up was a distortion of the original reality that God intended for us humans to grow up with in a place called Paradise. Our parents were part of that design in God’s original plan for man, the father was to be a representation of God here on the earth, while our mothers were a type for the church, the body of Christ. Since none of us had a perfect mother or father, our perception of God and His church was never fully demonstrated to us as we were growing up. When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray effectively, this was the very first thing that Jesus addressed: Our Father who are in heaven. Many of us have had good fathers, Joseph, Jesus stepfather, was a good man, but while Joseph was still alive, here is what Jesus said: Luke 2:48-49 “So when they saw Him (Jesus at the age of twelve sitting amongst the elders), they were amazed; and His mother said to Him, ‘Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father and I have sought You anxiously.’ And He said to them, ‘Why did you seek me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?’” Joseph’s business was carpentry, they found the boy Jesus sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions in the temple of God His real father. When Jesus reached the age of accountability, He had to identify Himself with who He really was, and in which reality He really lived. John 7:28-29 “Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, ‘You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true (the real reality), whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.’” Years later, when Jesus is in full ministry, He makes the statement to those who were hearing Him teach that they both know who He really is and where He came from. Jesus refused to see Himself or to portray Himself the way and within the context that the world saw Him. That is exactly what He was trying to teach His disciples, and that is what He is trying to teach us in our present day. John 7:7 “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.” What an amazing statement, Jesus tells His disciples that the world cannot hate them, for they have not yet learned how to testify against the world, now later towards the end of His ministry, He tells His disciples that they would be hated by the world; what is this all about? I believe that it has to do with soul identification, and the concept of who our real Father is, and from where do our souls originate from. John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Here is how I see it, Jesus knows that He is not of this world and that He is here on earth on a mission from God to save sinners from their sins and to destroy the works of the devil. The Jews that He is contending with claim to be children of Abraham, but Jesus tells them that if they were real children of Abraham they would do the works of Abraham, vs. 39 and believe in Him, since Abraham was a man of faith. Meanwhile in the middle are the disciples and those who believed what Jesus was teaching them, but who had not yet entered into the revelation of what they were taught. How do we enter into this revelation? Adam was the first sinner, I am a descendant of Adam, so I too I am a sinner. Jesus is a descendant of Adam as well, on His mother’s side, but yet He never sinned, for His Father is God who is righteous. Jesus offered His sinless soul as a sacrifice on behalf of all Adam’s descendants, to save them from their sins, and to destroy all the damaging work that the devil instigated against their human souls. God accepted the sinless blood of Jesus as the perfect sacrifice, and in place of the old testament that declared that the soul that sinned would surely die, a new testament was declared, that if we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us, body, soul, and spirit from all unrighteousness. 1 Corinthians 15:47-49 “The first man (Adam) was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly (born again). And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.” Our physical bodies will finally bear the image of the heavenly Man on resurrection day, but if we are born again, our souls already bear the image of the heavenly Man, for our souls are spirit. So that it comes down to this, what are we feeding our souls? Remember that it is words that either feed nourishment to the soul or cut it to pieces, truthful words deliver the soul from the enslavement of fear, however, the lie keeps the soul in bondage. 1 Peter 1:9 “Receiving the end (or goal) of your faith—the salvation of your souls.” John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (nourishment for our souls).” For me it starts with this: Who is my real father? God is my One and only Father! This is what Jesus meant when He taught in Luke 14:26 that if anyone came to Him and did not hate his father or mother and even his/her own life, that they could not be His disciples. This is how our soul acknowledges that it originated from God, like when the boy Jesus, testified in the temple about His heavenly Father, the issue was not disrespect towards His parents, it all had to do with His soul’s identifying itself with God, who is not of this world. For He alone created us and He alone sustains our life with His breath, for man does not live on bread alone, but by every Word of God. If we are His children, and we are if we are born again, then we belong to Him, we are His property, our lives have meaning and purpose. The world tells us that we are insignificant, one of seven or eight billion people on this earth right now, the world wants us to believe that nobody cares for us, that we are worthless, for that is what fragments the human soul, the lies that divide us from within. The world will say that we are a chip from the old block, that because of our race, or gender, or geographical location, or whatever our status in life is, that we are nothing, and that we will never amount to anything. Those are all lies perpetrated by the devil that keep good people of faith bound to the distorted personality that they have come to know so well. Adam was naked when God told him that he was good, then the devil came and told Adam that he was naked and that it was shameful to be naked, so Adam felt shame for the first time. God gave Adam a choice, the tree of life which is the Word of God, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the lies that begins the process of death as soon as they are ingested. The minute that Adam put more value on the lies of the devil, than over the truth of what God had told him, that he was good even though he was naked, as soon as he did that, he was barred from the life giving fruit of the Word of God. That is why Jesus the Word of God, had to come in the flesh and restore order, by exposing the lies of the devil, and displaying once again the great value that God has placed on every human soul. Matthew 16:26 “For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” We, like old Adam, are continuously bombarded by Satan’s accusations, he never gets tired of telling us that we are naked, and that our behavior is shameful, and that there must be something really wrong with us, and why don’t we just give it up. Did you know that the devil never told me that my actions would one day lead me to hell until I became born again. Imagine that, for twenty nine years I was lost and on my way to hell, and not a peep from him, boy, but as soon as I got saved, all hell broke loose. All of the sudden everything I did seemed offensive enough to the devil, and grievous enough in his view to cause me to fall out of favor with God. Then I remember the words of Jesus that truly describes who the devil really is, and a smile comes to my face: John 8:44 “...When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Whatever stories the devil has been telling you, remember this, he never, ever, speaks on God’s behalf, for God is Truth, and the devil has no concept whatsoever as to what truth really is. Maybe you never had a father that loved you, if Jesus is your savior, you have One now! For the Bible calls Him the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace. Everlasting because He will never leave you nor forsake you no matter what. He will never run out on you and there is nothing that you can do to get rid of Him. Hide that truth deep into your soul and you’ll have peace. Did you know that everything bad that the devil ever said about you is a lie? Now if you hesitated when you read that, then you need to read once more those red letters, where Jesus calls him out for what he really is, the father, that means originator of all lies. All that’s left for us to do is to keep seeking the revelation from the Word of God that will expose those hidden things that keep holding us back from who we really are in the Lord. Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked (lies) way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Every time that the Lord exposes a lie that we’ve harbored, let us renounce it immediately and replace it with the Truth of the Word of God. AMEN! Previous Next

SEARCHING FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD To teach believers how to diligently seek, receive, and apply the Word of God as their greatest treasure, so they may understand the fear of the Lord, walk in His wisdom, and obtain the knowledge that guards, directs, and transforms their lives. SEARCHING FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD Minister Lisa Kane September 3, 2025 Objective: To teach believers how to diligently seek, receive, and apply the Word of God as their greatest treasure, so they may understand the fear of the Lord, walk in His wisdom, and obtain the knowledge that guards, directs, and transforms their lives. Synopsis: This message, based on Proverbs 2:1–12, unpacks the biblical process of discovering the knowledge of God. It begins with receiving and confessing God’s Word, as Romans 10:9 affirms, and continues by treasuring His commands within the heart. Believers are called to incline their ears to wisdom, apply their hearts to understanding, and cry out for knowledge with the same passion as one who seeks hidden treasures. The teaching emphasizes that when God’s Word is sought and hidden like precious silver, it brings divine covering and separation from the world’s snares (Psalm 91:1). This pursuit leads to understanding the fear of the Lord and finding His knowledge, which becomes a lamp to our path (Psalm 119:105). With wisdom entering the heart, discretion and understanding preserve the believer, delivering them from evil influences and guiding them in righteousness, judgment, and every good path. Ultimately, the message calls believers to make God’s Word their highest priority—treating it as a treasure—so they may walk under His covering, avoid the traps of the enemy, and live in the awareness and authority of God’s presence. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Opening scripture: Proverbs 2:5 KJV 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. Notice the first word in this verse, ‘then’. What must we do to understand the fear of the Lord and to find His knowledge. Let’s start at verse 1: Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide (hoard, reserve) my commandments with thee; The Holy Bible is the Words of God. In order to understand them, you need to receive them. How do you receive them? By confessing and acknowledging them as Romans 10:9 tells us. Romans 10:9 KJV 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. We can see a pattern in Proverbs 2. First, receive, then hide or hoard/reserve those words. How do you hide or hoard/reserve the words in the Bible? By spending time reading the Words of God asking God out loud what do they mean. Proverbs 2:2 KJV 2 So that thou incline (to prick the ears, hearken, attend) thine ear unto wisdom, and apply (stretching or spreading out) thine heart (feelings, intellect) to understanding; When we receive, confess His Words, then hide them, we are inclining or paying attention to those words and applying (stretching or spreading out) to our heart or feelings and thoughts that lean towards understanding. He continues in Proverbs 2:3-4 KJV 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge (understanding), and liftest up thy voice for understanding (intelligence, reason); 4 If thou seekest (strive after) her as silver, and searchest (hide self) for her as for hid treasures; The author of this proverb tells us more about how to cry out and seek after His Words. He tells us to ‘strive after her as silver’. If you found a hoard of silver, the first thing you do is don’t tell anyone. The next thing is that you start to sell it quietly. And you do this with silver, gold or any special treasure you find. You hide it from others because others will then become jealous and possibly try to kill you. His Word is like a treasure that we need to seek, find, and hide in our hearts. THEN… Proverbs 2:5 KJV 5 Then shalt thou understand (separate mentally) the fear (morally reverence) of the Lord, and find (attain) the knowledge (awareness) of God. Here, back at our opening scripture, this is where we find understanding of God. We separate ourselves from the way the world operates and operate through His Words spiritually. To do this, we do this by faith with works. Psalm 91:1 KJV He that dwelleth in the secret place (covering) of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The way to show faith is by action. Action is when you take time to read His Words. Get to know His Words and apply His Words. And you do this in the secret place or another way to say this, this is where you put on God’s covering over yourself. Once the separation from the world takes place and you are under His covering, then you become aware of God. You obtain His knowledge over you. Yes, His knowledge. You start to see things differently and He keeps you from fall for the pitfalls laid as a trap for you. Proverbs 28:10 KJV 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. In essence, His Word is: Psalm 119:105 KJV 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. As you continue in Proverbs 2:9-12 KJV: 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; You become delivered from the way of the evil man. The way the world operates, which is done through manipulation and sin you avoid because His Words are your treasure. Seek His Word as the priority of your life because then you become aware of God in your life and you will know He is Lord. Previous Next
