DOMINION Equip believers to exercise God-given dominion by operating in Christ’s authority and grace, not human strength—rejecting presumptuous warfare, rooting out iniquity/idolatry, and embracing a Spirit-led identity—so they can contend decisively with the enemy and contend for real breakthrough. < Back DOMINION Pastor Marcos Marrero February 9, 2007 Objective: Equip believers to exercise God-given dominion by operating in Christ’s authority and grace, not human strength—rejecting presumptuous warfare, rooting out iniquity/idolatry, and embracing a Spirit-led identity—so they can contend decisively with the enemy and contend for real breakthrough. Synopsis: The message opens with a prayer for a spiritual breakthrough and a testimony about learning to teach only what the Holy Spirit gives. From there, it frames dominion biblically as “treading down” the enemy, contrasting authority (exousia) with power (dunamis): authority—like a traffic officer’s badge—outweighs raw power because it’s backed by God’s government (Lk 10:19; Ps 149). Three dominion-leaks are exposed: Presumptuous sins—launching into spiritual warfare from pride or self-effort, which cedes ground to the enemy (Ps 19:13). Iniquity/idolatry—compromises with cultural traditions that dilute consecration and blunt spiritual authority (Ps 119:133). Sin as “missing the mark”—living under law empowers failure, while grace empowers obedience and victory (Rom 6:14; “Grace, grace” to the mountain). Practical counsel follows: wait for God’s timing before confronting higher powers; cleanse idolatrous mixtures; wage warfare by executing the written judgments of Scripture in Jesus’ name; and adopt a deliverance mindset that is decisive rather than drawn-out. Identity is central: “By the grace of God I am what I am” (1 Cor 15:10). As saints align with who God says they are, temptations and accusations lose their hold, and setbacks become set-ups for advancement (Titus 2:11). The message closes with a call for corporate agreement to confront local principalities under the Lord’s commission, expecting breakthrough to manifest first in the spirit and then in the natural, followed by prayer. Inspired Teaching: what the Holy Spirit is speaking into my ears, Father God, to speak out. I pray that you anoint our ears to hear, our heart to understand. And Father God, thank you for favor, dear Lord Jesus. We've been battling and battling and battling, Father God. We're ready for a breakthrough. We want a breakthrough tonight, Father God. It doesn't have to show up in the physical, but we want it to take place in the spiritual tonight, Father God. We want those giants, Father God, to be decapitated, Father God. We want whoever is holding the anointing and the finances and and the the release of the good things that you have for us. Whoever is holding him now, we cut those hands off, Father God. We cut shop those heads up, Father God. And we proclaim a release in the spirit tonight, Father God. A release of the abundance of your grace and your mercy and every all the provision that you have already prepared for us in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Uh something strange about the message tonight. Right in the middle of it as I was preparing it, the Lord stopped and when he stopped, I stopped. And then I said, "Well, maybe the Lord will give me the rest of it in the morning." And so I got up this morning and as you can see, we got half a message. So the other half the Lord will work at us as he sees fit. Okay. I I got to tell you a story. This is really uh uh about the teaching. When I got saved, I definitely had the anointing for teaching. His grandpa was a true teacher of the word and love way that uh that he did all that stuff. And I aspire man. I wanted to be a teacher like him. That was like, you know, my desire and I knew I had the calling. And so, but I was so afraid that I was going to say and write and so I would take his tapes and lesson two and every lesson that I ever taught was what he taught up to the jokes and everything. I wouldn't teach anything else. I was just afraid that I was going to mess up. And that worked for a little while. And then finally uh as as I got grounded a couple of years went by then the Lord began to say you know what you got to speak what I tell you and and then you know man and I thought it oh man I might say something wrong or whatever. So anyway the anointing stopped the anointing stopped and for a year I went by and and always had teaching opportunities. We were doing the different things and uh and just things wasn't working. And then one day the Lord clearly spoke to me. He says, uh, you know, if you want the anointing and the teaching, you have to teach what I give you. And if you make a fool of yourself, you have to be willing to do that. I mean, everybody that serves me had to be willing to do that. You okay? Okay. I thought it was my teaching. Okay. I'm okay here. We're gonna have fun tonight. Uh, so, but anyway, this is this is what happened. Joe Herrera who had a a class that he taught on Monday nights is called Keys to the Kingdom. He invited me to speak and the minute he invited me to speak, the Lord spoke to me and said, "You're going to speak what I tell you to speak and and what I choose." So I said, "Fine." And you know, it was a thing with pride with me. I have to have everything together and everything. So a week goes by, I don't hear nothing from the Lord. Four days go by and so I'm teaching that Monday night and I have nothing, right? And finally that Monday afternoon I get there in my Bible and I pray and says, "Okay, Lord." And once I cross that line, I said to myself, I'll stand up in there. I'll make a fool of myself if I have to, but you know, I'm going to give something that the Lord gives me. As soon as I said that in my heart, the Lord said, I want you to write this. And he gave me three letters. It was joy. J O Y said that's what you're going to teach them. I remember it. I mean, this is so that that is the day that I got hooked to to to being anointed to teach. I stood up and she'll tell you my was there. He was visiting and there was quite a huh her son was and her son was there too. I stood up in there and as I began to say whatever was a joy, the Holy Spirit just came. I mean, possessed me. I had never have felt anything like that. And I began to speak on my Cuban 150 words per second type of speed. And it just like started coming out. And I swear to you, I was like, move back. I was standing here. And this was me over here. And I was rambling and I'm standing. I said, "Man, this is strange. Here I'm speaking. I'm thinking and I'm speaking, but yet I'm like up in here." But there was such an anointing and everybody that was up in there, their mouths just were like it was like the anointing just fell on everybody and on that teaching and from that time forward it felt it, you know, I never done drugs. So I don't know what that feels like, but I know what it feels to shoot something in you because I felt it that one day. From that time on, I says, "Man, this is what I want." And so, you know, every now and then, you know, we always have the anointing. And I've always pray before I prepare and and never know where I'm going and allow the Holy Spirit to take me. But this is one of the few times lately to where the Holy Spirit says we're going to do a half part uh on my own. So anyway, let's begin the Psalm 1913 and Psalm 119 133 and then Romans 6:14. If you have the page there, they're all from the uh New King James Version. But look at uh Psalm 19. He said, "Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless and shall be innocent of great or much transgression." We're going to be talking about dominion. And says there that presump presumptuous sins give the enemy dominion over us. He says, "Keep me from presumptuous sins so that the enemy will not have dominion over me." Okay. Psalm 119 133 said, "Direct my steps by your word and let no iniquity have dominion over me." There's a second thing that can give the dominion that we have to the enemy, iniquity. And iniquity, I spoke on that the whole night last week, but we'll touch in it. In Romans 6:14 says, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace." On the uh the definition for dominion means to tread down or to trample down. We have a mentality uh or at least I I had for many years that God somehow um put you in charge of something and it's like uh going to Margaritavville to where you sit by the beach with your coconut umbrella type of thing and you kick your feet back and you watch the the sail ships go by. You know, this is our idea of of when God gives you something. But that's not the idea. If you go to Adam and Eve, when God says, "Let us make man in their own image and let them have dominion." The word dominion means like you build you up a high tower, a watch tower, all that you can see the thing that you've been given dominion. And then you get up in there and then you keep an eye on what the Lord has given you. That's what dominion means. And every time some little critter that doesn't belong there in your terrain starts coming in, you get down and you trample down on that thing. You kick that thing out. See, the the idea here is that God says, "I am putting you in charge." It was um who was it Patton? The one that says when you're in command, command. When you're in charge, do it. You know, don't don't pussyoot around and think, "Well, maybe I'll do this." No, when you're charged, do it. You given a job to do it, do it. That's the heart of dominion. Dominion is doesn't mean, see, nothing gets the Lord more out of it than being lukewarm. And you see that in Revelation, in Revelation chapter 3, the letter to the Leo Deaya, you're lukewarm, so I spit you out. I can't use you. At least if you're raking mad against me like Saul was, I can take that energy and turn it around. You know, at least you're moving. You may be going the wrong way, but at least you're going somewhere. I can turn you around. But if you're just sitting there like a clamp, you know, there's nothing that God can do with it. So the idea of dominion is a a a being in charge and being aggressive and being motivated to do something. Okay? And the thing is that we fail to see that Satan and one-third of all of those angels that fell and follow him are very highly motivated. Those guys don't stop. Have you ever been harassed by the enemy to where he gets in your ear, gets in your case? He just doesn't give up, does it? He doesn't care that you're going to sleep. He doesn't care that you're thirsty. He doesn't care that you have to go to the bathroom. He doesn't care that you got to go. No. He's in your mind. He's in your ear. And he's just there, there, there, there, there. He won't give up. Why? Because he's treading down on us. He has dominion on this area that we're dealing with. And he doesn't give up. You know, I had that that uh revelation when we got back from the trip that one time and I came up into this place. I had the big double sword in in my hand and I looked up and as soon as I saw the the glory of the Lord was like a manifest diamond. I said, "Lord, how beautiful you are." And immediately Satan started jacking up like you know I don't belong there. I can't be shut up. I mean he bugged me. I just said shut up and immediately everything went silent. And so I look again and see this glory. Lord, how beautiful you are. He started again. I said, "Shut up." See, Satan is the accuser. He's, you know, remember the movie The Old Terminator? The guy tells the woman, "He's not going to stop until he kills you. He's just going to go after you." That's what he does. That's what he's programmed to do. We need to understand that. That's how Satan operates. That's how the demons operate. These things are highly motivated to get you to destroy you. And so what God is saying is we have to be highly motivated to destroy him. The Bible says that Jesus came that he might destroy the works of the devil. And you know Jesus was highly motivated. Jesus was highly motivated. He did not spend one single minute of his time wasting it in in watching some Super Bowl or some commercial or something. He was focused. This man came in for a purpose. He says, "I have a cross to go to three and a half years from now." And man, I'm going to go there, but I'm going to kick as many devils out of people as I can before I get there. And when I get there, I'm going to destroy them all. And then I'm going to send the thing in place. The first thing we have to understand that dominion has to do with the exercising of authority. It has to do with trampling on in in in the vision before the one that I just explained to you. I went into three different rooms uh one room at a time and they were all filled with people. And as I'm in there and I'm saying because I'm in this place is more real than where we are. I'm looking at and I'm marveling. I'm saying man what is this place that I'm in and who are these people? a minute the Holy Spirit who was in me speaks from me. He says, "Those are not people. Those are demons." And I say, "Huh?" And and then he he speaks to me. Yeah. You're going to destroy them. I mean, they was led up in this thing. The Holy Spirit says, "Do this." Bam. This baby like 18 months old stood up looking. It's not fair. It's not fair. The Holy Spirit says, "Tell him that it's none of his business." He said, "You got a problem with it? Take it with God." I said, "You have a problem? Take it with God." I took it an 18 months a little and just crushed him right down to the ground. The the voice told me, "That's not a baby. That's a demon." And you're going to crush it. I don't care what form it takes. So, in spiritual warfare, dominion is not a fancy like touch and that thing to where you do the thing. No, in spiritual warfare, we have the authority. We have the power. He raises up his head, you squash him, and that's it. next do the same thing. This is the idea spirit. But you see, we don't have that mindset. We don't have the mindset. This is why deliverance in the places where you sit there and you battle with the demons for 12 hours. I don't see that in the Bible. I don't see Jesus doing that. I don't see Paul doing that. These people couldn't have done all they did if they would have spent 12 hours on the living room on a person. You see, it comes simply by the ability to exercise dominion that we have. You know, so amazing. We can tell Satan who is, you know, as far as our person that that can cause th this dude had had the G to stand up to God. I mean, you got to be pretty up there. Well, Jesus said we have authority over him. Over him. We have authority over him. And that authority is not so that we can reason or or box him in very nicely and say, you know what, I'm going to draw this line. You're not going to cross it. No, that authority is to crush. That's what Jesus did. Jesus crushed the head of Satan. He cracked his skull when he when he crushed it. I think it's Psalm three that says the Lord shatters the teeth of the wicked. You know the picture is here as hell uh knows that that the soul of Jesus is going to come down because he just died on the cross. Him and every demon are blocking this door with all of their might. They're not going to let him in here because he's a higher ruling spirit than any spirit because he's eternal spirit God. So they're blocking the door. Jesus just comes in and kicks the door down. And as he kicks it, he shove his heel right through the mouth of every demon, including Satan. And that's why I said he shatters the teeth of the wicked. The Satan cannot bite you. He's snake without fangs. He has been defanged. So we have to understand that that is at the heart of dominion. But the opposite is true in the scriptures that we just read that if we deal with presumptuous sins, that means uh we're not walking in understanding. What happens is the enemy can take advantage of the advantage. Also, if we do not deal with inequity, he can have dominion over us and also sin. And and notice that he puts in Romans 6:14, you're not under law, but but under grace. So let's begin now with with understanding how this work. Luke 10:19, Jesus says, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample." That means to tread down. That's that's what dominion is. I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Now notice that when Jesus is talking about he's not talking about the creatures that crawl along the ground. This is a picture for us of the spiritual realm. What is a serpent? A serpent hides on the dirt. A serpent it coils up. A serpent can can bite you, can poison you. A serpent can kill you. Corp the same way. So when Jesus is talking about I give you authority, he's not saying I give you authority like these people down in Texas some place over there do. They have a service and they got bunch of snakes and they all handle the snakes and stuff like that. That is not what he's talking about. He's using a physical reality to demonstrate a a a spiritual principle that snakes and scorpions talking about demons talking about principalities and power. And Jesus says, "I give you authority." The word authority is exosa. Exosea means an an ability that comes through privilege. In other words, uh it it is not because of you. It is because of the person that allows you to have that ability or privilege. you know, uh you you can go to a a a ball game and and you buy what you just can't afford, the $6 seat that you're way up in there to where you see the I went to see Karim Abdul Jabar one time to play at the forum and we were right against the wall and it looked like ants running around in the thing and I had good vision back then now I probably wouldn't be able to see it but I mean it it means that you have been given the privilege to move right out to the front right next to the front. That's what exosa means. Meaning you are enabled by privilege. The privilege has been given to you to do this. Now this is different because he says over all the power the power of the enemy is the word uh uh dunamis. The word dunamans means strength or or power. And he says that nothing shall by any means hurt you. Now the difference between authority and power is that authority is bestowed and power is inherited. Now this is very important that we understand this. If you grasp this principle, you will understand this. For example, I'm 222 pounds. Was it 220 this morning? Anyway, I can get a hold of somebody that's 100 pound and he can move a little faster. He can move a little stronger, but if I get on top of him, I got 120 lbs that I can move my weight on. So, you see that is inheritant in me. There's a power that is inherent in me to go against an Now, if I go against a guy that weighs 400 lb and a 6'8, imagine that's going to do to me. So you see power is something that is in you already. Okay? And you can move, you can throw your power around, but your power is limited to what you have. And if you come against an enemy that is more powerful than you, then you're in trouble. You understand that? Also, you can come against a karate dude that only weighs 100 pounds and he can take your 220bs and flip them all over the place. I got into a fight with with a guy in Cuba once. four friends and then he got angry about something and said, "Well, I can beat you." And we got into it. It was pretty big. He uh he weighed probably 120 pounds more than me. He was a pretty big guy and he run out of breath real fast. So I said, "Well, you want to get it on? Let's get out." You know, all the guys were. So we stand in the middle of the room there and we started going and man, I'm quick. I'm I was 122 to 30 pounds at the time and I used to play tags and I was quick. I mean I got up in there, hit him in the face and back off. I run to get behind him so he kept turning. Within 10 minutes he was he couldn't even keep his hands up. I just slap him all around. Slap him all around. I took advantage of this weakness. And that's the problem when we're operating in our own power. Satan is not only more powerful than we are because he's a spirit. He's more knowledgeable than we are because he's been around for 6,000 years. But not only that, he knows our weaknesses. Any time that we try to exercise dominion that is inheriting in our own power, he's going to get us because he's crafty. As a matter of fact, that's how he gets a lot of people. He gets up in there. Oh yeah, man. you you got it all together. You got this and before you know it, you and everything the enemy is telling you, you don't even know. You think it is you who's doing it. But he's the one that's manipulating. But see, authority is different. Authority is different because authority is not something that is inherited in you. It's something that is vested in you. I got a little example there that might help you. Here's a 100 pound police woman. Okay? She doesn't have no strength, physical strength. She doesn't have no power. She don't even have a gun. She's a traffic cop. Okay? But she has a uniform on that says she's with the police department. And here comes this big old 350 lb bley guy driving an 18-wheeler and he's coming like 60 miles an hour down the road. And here's little police woman over there stands up and say, "Huh?" Now, who's got the power and who's got the authority? The guy has the power. He's driving an 18er that can squash her, can squash a tank, can squash anything that gets in his way. That's inherited. That's what an 18-wheeler does. But see, she has the authority. The authority doesn't come inherited on her power. the the authority that she has comes because she's representing she's representing a government. She's representing a city. She's representing a state. She's representing a nation. And if that power violates that authority, he gets into trouble because all the world's going to come upon him before you know it. He'll have 150 cops, tank helicopters, and tanks. If you have to call a nuke pump, they can nuke him. That is the authority that we need to understand. that we have authority, not power. Authority is we have been privileged with ability. That ability is the word of God. As a matter of fact, Psalm uh uh I don't have it here, but we can look at it real quick. Psalm 149. If you look at Psalm 149 verse 9, it says to execute on them the written judgment. This honor have all the same. It's talking about verse seven, to execute vengeance on the nations, punishments on the people. A to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with feathers of iron, to execute on them the written judgment. This honor have all. He's saying all of us, all of the saints of God have the honor, that is a vested privilege, an ability to execute vengeance on nations, punishments on people. We have authority to bind kings with chains. We we can bind their nobles with feeders. And it says all of this come because of verse n to execute on them the written judgment. You see, we have authority that is backed up by the word of God. And that authority vests us with a privilege. Satan can come down the road and he can bring a hundred millions of his demons all with tanks and fire and bring dragons and everything. The word says that you can execute whatever God has written against him. That is our vested authority of script in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Then we just read in Luke where it says nothing shall by any means hurt you. Well, if Satan is coming to hurt you, he's violating the word of God. So I can execute upon him upon his kings, upon his princes, upon his nobles, upon the nation that is backing him up. I can execute the written judgment that is in the name of Jesus you cannot hurt me and I can be a little nothing and he can be all this big old thing but see I have authority he may have power but I have authority I can exercise that authority why because I have dominion to tread down on him but now there's a catch like there's a catch with everything and the catch is that presumptuous ious sins can cause us to give up our dominion. So that's inequity and so that's sin. So let's um deal with one of them at a time. Let's do deal with presumptive sins first. What is presumptive sin? Presump sins is when we engage in warfare against the enemy in our own strength. Selfish motivation will always give the enemy dominion over us because we are operating by our own inherited strength. You see this is at the heart of of uh what u selfishness is. Now don't you think Jesus had authority over Satan? Why is it that Jesus had to be filled with the Holy Spirit to exercise that authority? He's the son of God. Isn't that what Satan said to him? If you're the son of God, you can't turn these stones into bread. I mean, you're hungry. You haven't eaten anything for 40 days. You have power within your own strength. Why don't you do that? Isn't that what the trick was with with uh Eve? They didn't God say this? And then she began to contend with him. What did Jesus say? It is written. See, every time that Jesus says, "It is written," he's saying, "I'm not dealing with you on my own strength, even though I'm the son of God, and even though I have all of this power and authority, I'm dealing with you according to what it is written in the word." The word says, "Thou shalt not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceedth." So, what Jesus was saying is, I'm not here to do my own thing. I'm here because God sent me. You see, I believe that many of the ministers that are into ministry today are not there because of the will of God, but rather because of the will of men, the will of other men on them or their own will. And so, because of that, they're operating in power that is inherited in the self rather than in the authority and the anointing of God. You say, "Well, now you're you're saying a lot there. I'm not judging anybody. What I'm saying is if we're operating under that authority of God, then we will have power of the enemy. You see, if the ministers that operate here in the city of Wington were operating on the the authority, they would be able to stop the train wreck that is going on in this city right now. If this nation of ours was operating under the authority of God, we wouldn't have 40 million babies being aborted in the last 25 years. we wouldn't have all of this um uh uh uh drive by murders. You know, you talk about all of the violent in Iraq. More people die in our cities every day from uh violence, you know, and this is uh you know, something that you just look at a paper uh how many dead bodies, you know, that Anna Nicole Smith just like 39 years old. Uh there's curses upon our people. The the Kennedy family has a curse. Everything just comes down the line. Why can't we break those curses? Well, because if we're operating in our own strength, and I believe that that's what the problem with the church is. The church is operating out of its own strength. The church wants to bring its own perception of the kingdom of God into the earth. And as long as we do that, guess what? We're operating in our own power. So power against power, we lose. Because Satan is more powerful, more knowledgeable than everything. is only when we operate under the authority of the word of God. This is why I believe that it is so important for us to wait on the Lord because we didn't break it and we're not going to fix it. Okay? We just got to operate within a broken system that only God can fix. So, what we got to do is we got to say, "Okay, Lord, how do I fit here? How do I uh uh place myself in a position to where you can use me for whatever benefit you can use me for? And then as we do that and allow the the Holy Spirit, then there's a vesting. You see it if if you go back to the history, Adam, God gave him coats, skins of animals to Adam and his wife. And that authority of Adam was handed down was handed down from generation to generation when Seth who is the one that is said um not uh yeah said the the son of Noah no Shem when Shem the son of Noah to whom that vestage of Adam was given to him the authority Nimro led the rebellion Shem had the power to go on to kill Nimra even though Nimro was a mightier warrior that ever arose. Even though Nimra built cities and and and kingdoms and everything, he had the code of authority. Even though it was this broken down authority of Adam that came out of the even the sinful of and he was able to go in and bring the judgment of God upon the great mighty Nimrod. This nimrod was so powerful. There isn't one single day of your life that you're not touched by what this Nimrod man created. I mean this nimrod is all over the place. You see it on every nation. We watch movies and you know I went to h Key West. I go to the places you see this uh obelisk erected to him. Everywhere you go. We went to uh Louisiana was some old cemeteries from the 1600 and there you see it. Everywhere you go this is all you see. This man was so powerful has such an influence in the whole history of the world. This one man with the old raggedy clothes that he inherited from Adam had authority over him. Why? Because authority always trumps power. See, all authority comes from God. All authority comes from God. God is the ultimate backer of all authority. And when we operate on that authority of God, no matter how broken down, how messed up, how raggedy it is, it is greater than the power of the enemy. So presumptuous sins always have to do with selfish ambition. We have do this presumptuous sin always have to do with selfish ambition. Okay. I cannot go on and and you know I've been waiting now for a year and take on on whoever the principality is over the city that I'm living now in Lake Elsenor which I I've done that three times since I've been there and it was in the last couple of weeks when the Lord brought me up to the level. I want you to challenge his principality that rule over a city and challenge. You cannot do that presumptuously. How do I learn that? Maybe I shouldn't tell you. But you see, you cannot get up in there and declare war against a principality unless God is authorizing you to do it. This is what I'm saying. And what I've been telling friends, this church has been authorized to do that. Okay? It's been on the preparation of this three years. Now, I believe that the time has come for the people within this church to come into a a a an agreement and say, you know what, we are going to challenge the principalities of the cities. And the reason why it's going to work this time is because we're going to challenge the principalities, not presumptuously because we just think this is what God, you know, doing. No, because God is saying the time is here, the time is now. See, the key is waiting for the Lord to open the door. When the Lord opens the door, that's when you go through it. Amen. Now, the second is iniquity. And we dealt with this at length last week. Uh iniquity, idolatry is the root of all iniquity. And in spiritual warfare, one must rid oneself of all idolatry. The reason why Satan contaminates things is so that they become powerless against him. You have to understand that if Satan can contaminate your authority or your power, then he can he's able to survive whatever we're coming against him. For example, if you uh uh prepare a glass full of poison and and then you can dilute that poison, then the poison is have the effect that is supposed to have it. This is what Satan has done against all of us Christians. He has deluded our author our authority because of idolatry. See, idolatry is at the root of Nimrod. Nimrod uh uh who is the baby that is worshiped at Christmas. Who is the uh the the the sun god that they worship in Easter? He is behind the Valentine's the cupid. He's behind the the the dead when the loia muertos or or the Halloween all of the thing is behind all of that. And this religion has permeated society such a great and vast way that our dominion over the enemy has been compromised. So that when we say to Satan, we bind them in the name of Jesus, there's nothing there. And the reason why there's nothing there because we have compromised. You see, idolatry is is harlotry. It's just like uh uh you know you're married to somebody but you're sleeping with somebody else and then you go up in there and and you're showing your wife oh yeah where and everybody out there looking knows that you're sleeping with somebody else. Well what what is to say you have not the respect of the people. I mean, I remember this as a boy growing up in Cuba, seeing um you know, things that you shouldn't see. It's a very small town and and words gets around and seeing a woman and a guy that were married to other people and then you see them on a social setting when they're together. You had no respect for those people. I look at I said, I can't believe that I remember that even as a young man burn my bones. You know, I just get so upset about she knows about it. We had hell for eight years when we first got married. I was so jealous. I mean, I was really messed up by seeing these things. But imagine, put yourself in the position of God. Here you are in the public church in the place and you're going to tell Satan, "I'm going to tell you where to go. Say, I'm going to cast down the spirit of divorce and I'm going to cast out the spirit of drug addiction and I'm going to cast out." And then yet we're in bed with this idolatrous thing that we're sleeping with, you know, with this tradition of men that were there. And and so because of that, there's no authority. There's no power. You're a joke. You know, you get up in there and the demons are sitting on the front row eating popcorn like that thing says. You know, they're just laughing up out loud as you're binding the spirit of the B. You know, I heard so many preachers bind the Bors and the spirit this and the spirit of that man. I there's so many spirits bound. I don't know. There's no room in the whole universe to put them. You know, we have bound so many of them. But yet the effect is not changing. Well, why? Because of idolatry. And uh uh and then you know that's what iniquity is inherited. And it is in our DNA. By the way, I believe that that idolatrous system is so is into our DNA. We so desperately want to bow down to something, worship something. We so desperately want to give into something. And for some reason, we just give it to anybody but to God. For some reason, God, you know, it's like our father. We we may love as your father and everything, but he's the last person that we can go through. We can tell everybody else in the world, you know, I remember I d Previous Next Home
- A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF To expose the subtle yet crippling impact of unbelief in the lives of believers and to lead them into spiritual awareness, repentance, and transformation through the power of confession, prayer, fasting, and faith in Jesus Christ. A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF Minister Lisa Kane October 22, 2025 Objective: To expose the subtle yet crippling impact of unbelief in the lives of believers and to lead them into spiritual awareness, repentance, and transformation through the power of confession, prayer, fasting, and faith in Jesus Christ. Synopsis: In A Believer’s Unbelief, Minister Lisa Kane delivers a powerful teaching on how unbelief silently hinders the lives of believers, keeping them from walking in the fullness of God’s power and promises. Drawing from key scriptures in Hebrews, Romans, Mark, and Matthew, she illustrates that unbelief is more than doubt—it is spiritual hardness that blocks us from experiencing the supernatural life Jesus intended. The message challenges listeners to recognize the areas in their lives where unbelief persists, even while professing faith. Minister Lisa explores the spiritual implications of unbelief through the failure of the disciples to cast out a demon, the cry of a desperate father for help with his unbelief, and even how Jesus Himself was limited by the unbelief of others. She emphasizes that confession is the gateway to overcoming unbelief—confession as humility, alignment with truth, and a declaration of faith in Jesus' lordship. Prayer and fasting are highlighted as necessary disciplines to combat unbelief and grow in spiritual authority. Through biblical insight and practical reflection, A Believer’s Unbelief calls believers to a deeper faith—one that not only acknowledges Jesus as Savior but also embraces the power of His resurrection, healing, and deliverance. The message ends with a personal call: ask God to reveal where unbelief resides, confess Jesus over those areas, and begin to walk in the full measure of faith and power promised to every believer. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Unbelief hinders us greatly, and many who are believers don’t realize it. Unbelief keeps us from walking in the power of God and it makes us blind to everything around us. In fact, unbelief causes our heart, (soul – thoughts and feelings) to become hardened. Hebrews 3:7-8 NKJV 7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, Notice earlier in the chapter, we read: Hebrews 3:1-2 NKJV Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, 2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. Confession is what helps us with unbelief. When we confess, it is an act of humility before the Lord. It is our spirit saying we were wrong and we need forgiveness, healing, deliverance, etc. Hebrews 3:16-19 NKJV 16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. When we walk in unbelief, we stay in the dry desert, wilderness and don’t reach the promise land. So, how do we confess? Romans 10:9 NKJV 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 1 John 1:9 NKJV 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus promised us that He will forgive and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Another way to say this is that when we confess, we are called righteous. Once in that righteous state of mind, we walk in the power of God. Jesus demonstrated to us in scripture what unbelief did to His disciples. Mark 9:17-29 NKJV 17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” 19 He answered him and said, “O faithless[b] generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I [c]bear with you? Bring him to Me.” 20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. 21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 Jesus said to him, “If[d] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. 28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer [e]and fasting.” Let’s read the same event in Matthew: Matthew 17:14-21 NKJV 14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is [c]an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O [d]faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [e]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 [f]However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” The disciples were unable to cast out this demon. Now notice, the disciples had already been casting out demons and knew how to do so. This wasn’t because they didn’t know what they were doing. Jesus explained to His disciples that unbelief played a role in this, as well as not being prepared through prayer and fasting. But look how Jesus handled the situation. He told the man that brought his son to him that if you believe, all things are possible. The man responded saying I believe but help me with my unbelief. He, the man, the father of this demon possessed child acknowledged that he could not help his son because he had no power. Since he had no power, he reached out to Jesus’ disciples and imagine what he thought when he saw that even the disciples could not cast out the demon. He came to the disciples because he believed but his belief was shaken. So Jesus reminded him but he said I believe but I need help with my unbelief. Because at this point, what else could be done when the disciples could not cast out the demon? Then Jesus cast the demon out and healed the boy. The disciples knew something wasn’t right here, which caused their belief to shaken. At this point, Jesus needed to restore their belief explaining that when you are shaken like this, you need to go back to the scripture, to Jesus and find out what’s going on. You need to bring your belief back up and Jesus did that by explaining that to cast out this kind of demon you need to be in prayer and fasting. Based on the outcome, the disciples weren’t praying and fasting like Jesus. Even Jesus was limited on what He could do when unbelief was present. Mark 6:5-6 NKJV 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. Here we are today, where unbelief is rampant here in America. This level of unbelief prevents the spirit from moving. Even the disciples didn’t believe those who told them Jesus had risen and Jesus rebuked them for their unbelief. Mark 16:14-18 NKJV 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who [d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Unbelief keeps us from walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. The question you should ask yourself is what areas in your life where unbelief is true. Many believe in Jesus but don’t believe in the power of Jesus. For example, do you believe that Jesus saved you or are you hoping that He will save you? Do you believe Jesus heals? Do you believe Jesus delivers? Ask yourself what you believe and ask God to help you see the areas of unbelief in your life like the father of the son demon possessed. Then confess Jesus is Lord over that area in your life and watch God move over that area so that your unbelief is turned to belief. Home Previous Next
- HEALING FOR THE BROKENHEARTED part 1 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
HEALING FOR THE BROKENHEARTED part 1 The objective of this teaching is to reveal how Jesus Christ restores the authority that was lost in the Garden of Eden and how that authority directly relates to healing the brokenhearted. By examining Scripture, the lesson seeks to expose Satan’s deceptive “programming” and “conditioning” that keep believers bound, and to equip Christians to walk in the fullness of Christ’s authority, free from rejection, fear, and destructive patterns. < Back HEALING FOR THE BROKENHEARTED part 1 Pastor Marcos Marrero July 1, 2004 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal how Jesus Christ restores the authority that was lost in the Garden of Eden and how that authority directly relates to healing the brokenhearted. By examining Scripture, the lesson seeks to expose Satan’s deceptive “programming” and “conditioning” that keep believers bound, and to equip Christians to walk in the fullness of Christ’s authority, free from rejection, fear, and destructive patterns. Synopsis: This teaching explores the authority of Jesus Christ and how it brings healing to the brokenhearted. From the beginning, humanity was given dominion by God, but that authority was stolen by Satan through disobedience in the Garden of Eden. Jesus came to restore what was lost, granting believers the power to overcome every work of the enemy. The lesson highlights how religious leaders in Matthew 21 questioned Jesus’ authority, exposing a common tactic of Satan—causing people to doubt the authority of God’s Word. This same doubt weakens believers today, preventing them from walking in victory. Scripture makes clear that while Satan’s program is to steal, kill, and destroy, Jesus came to give abundant life. Yet many Christians remain bound because of Satan’s “programming” and “conditioning” in their hearts, whether through rejection, false teaching, generational patterns, or personal wounds. These hidden influences can produce double-mindedness, fear, and even self-destruction, blocking the flow of God’s blessings. Biblical examples such as Balaam and Balak (Revelation 2:14) show how compromise with false doctrine removes spiritual authority, while Paul’s warnings in 2 Timothy 3 remind us that not all who appear godly truly walk in God’s power. Ultimately, this teaching calls believers to recognize and break free from the enemy’s conditioning, to anchor their faith in the unshakable authority of Christ, and to receive the wholeness and peace Jesus provides. Inspired Teaching: We long for that day, dear Lord Jesus, when we'll finally meet you face to face and we'll be able to bow down before you, Father God, and personally give you h praise and glory for all that you have done for us. Thank you, Lord, in advance. Thank you for opening our ears to hear this morning. Thank you for granting us a heart that has understanding. Anoint your word this morning, Father God, that it may become food for our spirit, for our soul, and for our body. In Jesus name, I pray your blessing upon each and every person in this class this morning. Father, thank you for meeting every need of their heart. Father, in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Praise God. We're going to talk uh this morning in the concerning the authority of Jesus Christ, how it relates to healing of the broken heart. Our first lesson that we did, we dealt with the mechanics of what Jesus came to do. Jesus says, "I came to heal the brokenhearted." This is part of what Jesus came to do. That was lesson number one. In lesson number two, we dealt with the spirit of rejection. We found out that one of the tools that Satan uses the most against believers is rejection. And that goes all the way back to the garden when men was rejected because of his and her disobedient men and women disobeyed the word of God. Now today in this series of healing the brokenhearted or dealing with a broken heart, I want to focus into how Jesus uh uh has given us authority over all of the power of the enemy. And Satan uses everything that he can to keep us from exercising that authority. How many do you know that if you have authority to do something and that authority can be removed or taken from you then you you may have authority but it's no good to you if you cannot use it. I want to start with Matthew 21 verse 23. And I want you to see something from uh what happened to the children of Israel in Matthew 21:23. We read now when he Jesus came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people confronted him as he was teaching and said, "By what authority are you doing these things? And who gave you these this authority?" Now notice that it's the chief priests and the elders of the people. Now we need to understand that the children of Israel were programmed as if it were all the way from the beginning of time to accept the Messiah. Last week when we're dealing with the spirit of rejection as men and women were being kicked out of the garden just from their disobedience to the word, God said to Eve, "Your seed will crush the head of the serpent." So, ever since that time, mankind has been waiting for the seed of the woman or a son of a woman that would come up and would become like Adam was, but instead of failing like Adam would crush or defeat the enemy, would have the authority of God because what was lost in the garden was authority. God said to Adam and Eve, I give you dominion. and Satan stole that dominion. Okay? So, God promised, "I will res restore dominion to man." So, here comes Jesus. And I want you to put this into perspective. We know from John chapter 3 that Jesus was doing things that only God could do. We know that Nicodemus came to Jesus by night. Why? Because he was afraid of the chief priests and the elders. He came by night. And he says, "Rabbi, nobody, nobody can do the things that you do unless God be with him. Nobody can make bones grow. Nobody can take open eyes and and h, you know, blind eyes and open. Nobody can do that unless God is with him." And I want you to see that the chief elders and the and the priests saw the same thing that Nicodemus saw. But what happened? They questioned the authority. Why did they question the authority? Because Satan was able to program them to question the God, the authority of God. How many of us when we see a move of the Holy Spirit, immediately we begin to question, I wonder if this is really God or not? I mean, have you been there? You see something taking place? That's the first thing that comes into our mind. And it's a good thing because we need to to judge. We need to make decisions. But we need to understand that this is at the root of the problem. Now look what happens if you go down to right there in Matthew 21:23. Go 20 verses later 43. Jesus says, "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it." Now what happened? because they questioned the authority of the very person that God had promised them that he would send them. God says, "I can't use you. So, I'm going to remove you and I'm going to give that to somebody else, which is us." Now, the reason why I put this into prospect into perspective is because now we're in the same boat. What if we begin to question the authority of God? Will Jesus come and said the kingdom is taken from you and given to somebody else? And you see and today uh a religious leader chief elders question that all the time. They question whether God really created the heavens and the earth in six days. They go through long dissertations about how we evolve or how the things were evolved. And there's all kinds of human rationing to question the authority of God. Because you see, if you can bring the authority of God in question, then our authority is questioned because we have no authority but that which God has given to us. Jesus said whatever you ask in my name will be gi will be done for you. So if we even have a question on the authority of Jesus, then the kingdom is not ours. You see kingdom is operating in power. That's that's what it is. Now, in your paper there, if everybody has a paper, I'd look up the dictionary, two words, two very simple words, and you will see how these words fit so perfectly into the the real that we're fighting with. The first word is program. We're all familiar with the word program. Here's there's four meanings that I got from the uh Webster's dictionary. Program. the first minute a brief statement or written outline of something. You know, when you go to uh uh to the church, you get a bulletin. That's basically your program as to what's going on, what's going to be happening. Number two, performance. There's always a program has built into it a performance, something that has to be done. Then number three, a plan of action. In other words, to accomplish what the program says. And number four, it's a sequence of coded instructions for a computer. And so the Bible says that Satan is the accuser of the brethren. So what I want you to say to see here is that Satan has a program against you, against your family, against your church, against your community, against the nation that you live in. You know what Satan's program is against you? Jesus uh uh briefly stated what the program is. I think it's John 10:10. The thief comes but to steal, to kill, and to destroy. Satan has a short program against each and every one of us. And that program says, I want to steal everything you have. I want to kill everything you have. I want to destroy everything that you have. in that program, he has a performance. He needs to perform on that. In other words, you can desire to steal somebody something that somebody has, but you can't have that unless you act upon it. So, Satan is actively acting upon you and me to steal and to kill and to destroy everything that God has given us. And we need to know that. We need to know that Satan does not take vacations. He doesn't rest in the Sabbath. He doesn't have pity or mercy. He's like the uh Terminator. He's bent, hellbent on destroying you every single moment of the day. That's all he thinks about how to activate the plan against you so that the plan of action so that he can steal. But the part that I want you to see here is a a sequence of coded instruction because this is where we get now to the human heart. You see, Satan knows knows without a doubt that when a person hears the gospel of Jesus Christ, he will accept the Lord. So he has a set of coded instruction that he's been passing down from generation to generation to generation that when you come into the place to where you're going to be blossom as if it were into the reality of the blessing because Jesus says Jesus short program for us is but I came that you may have life and have it in abundance. That's that's God's plan of action. That's what Jesus wants to perform on us. He wants us to have life and have it in abundance. This is the plan of action. This is what Jesus wants to perform of us. So when we accept the Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus sets in motion the blessings of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, goodness, gentleness, all of the good things of the spirit of God are set in motion. So Satan has a set of coded instruction that he has placed deep within each and every human heart. And as soon as we begin to be blessed, he begins to come against that push the button that would keep us from entering into the blessing. So if we do not have our broken hearts healed, we can never enter into the blessings of God. Because you see a broken heart like we deal uh uh is a heart that has been split. In in other words, the scripture there where where James James 1:7 and8 for let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord for he is a double-minded man. Satan's plan is to get you to be double-minded because if you're doubleminded, God's plan of action for your life cannot be brought into place. So you see the double-mindedness is simply two spirit, two personalities or two things motivating you. Remember how Jesus said to the disciples when he was telling them to pray, watch and pray. Jesus says the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Why? Because there is a imprinted coded program that Satan has in each and every one of each and every one of us heart that he is working on to bring about. And we need to understand unless we get that part of our heart healed, we can never receive or implement God's plan for our life. This is why Jesus says, "I came to heal the broken heart." The broken heart uh uh in in in James 17 and8 means a duplicate and we dealt with this on the last uh two lesson. When God created I need to repeat this for emphasis so that we understand when God created the human soul God made man out of a lump of clay. Then God who is a spirit breathe out of his spirit. breath came out of God's mouth. And as that breath came out, it went into the nostrils of of of of this lump of clay. And the Bible says that he became a living soul. Okay? This soul was a duplicate of God because soul and spirit are the same thing except soul has to do with the lives with the self life or with the personality. So that God created us to be a duplicate of himself. Let us make man in our image and after our likeness. So Satan and how did God created that duplication? By his word. See you cannot speak words without breath coming out of your mouth. So it was the very breath of God when God says let us make man man became a living soul. But Satan come in and say no. Did God say? Did God really say to Jesus is if you are the son of God? What? Questioning the authority of the word of God. So whenever we question the authority of the word of God, there's a split. There's a duplicate. Now there's one of us that lives in doubt and fear and there's one of us, the spirit that is willing. Okay. Now that leads me to the second word, condition. Remember program. It's a brief statement or written outline of something something to be performed performance to be activated with a plan of action or a sequence condition. Listen to put into a proper or desired condition. Now notice number two to adapt modify or mold to respond in a particular way. Many Christians live in so much grief and so much shame because they have been conditioned. They have been adopted. They have been modified to respond in a particular way. And I don't care how good you are, how much you bless God, how much Bible scripture you you you memorize, how much you read, how how much church attendance you go to. If you have been conditioned to respond in a particular way to a certain situation, all that Satan has to do is activate that against you and boom, you're there. Boom. Actually, you're there. If it's anger, you can have the nicest person in the world. You push that right button that says condition anger and you push that button and out goes that fuse and there went your testimony. It's the same way with every condition whether it's loss, whether it's fear, whether all of the things are there. Why? Because Satan somewhere along the line came in and adapted the plan that had God for you. He began to modify it by getting some people in your life. Oh, you're be a loser just like your dad or you'll never be. You'll be this or you'll be that or you'll be the other. And this begin to condition you to respond. See, this is why some people have a spirit of self-destruction upon them. They get blessed. They get the best job in the world. They buy a house and everything and there's something in there that is so miserable that condition that you'll never profit. You'll never be anything and they'll do everything that they can in the world to selfdestruct. Same way with marriage. Some people uh uh find the perfect man and woman that God has for them on their life and they do everything in the world to destroy that relationship. Why? Because they have been conditioned. They have been pre-programmed. They have been molded to respond. You'll never be a nobody. You don't deserve it. How many of us? Well, see, Jesus says, "I came to heal that part of your heart. So, you can't enjoy the blessings." When the woman got a hold of the of the hymn of his garment, Jesus could have just let it go and they kept going. Nobody needs to know. The Bible says Jesus did so many things. If it were written in the books, there wouldn't be enough room in the whole world to put it. Why did Jesus stop and say, "Hey, wait a minute." because he wanted that woman not only to have the healing but to have the peace that goes with the healing. He said, "My daughter, your faith has made you heal." That coin peace. We need to know that that God wants us to have that peace. Now Romans 7:20 is one that we used on the last section where we did says now if I do what I will not to do it is no longer I who do it but sin living in me. Okay. How many of you have seen a a movie or or show where here's the person and then he's got this little replica of himself here and it's got a halo and a is a little angel and then a replica of himself here with a bunch couple of horns and a and a pitchfork. And this is the angel Jew and the devil Jew. And and the angel Jew say, "Oh, no, no, no. You better don't do that. You know, that's not right." And they, "Oh, come on. let's do it, you know, and there's this this this struggle, you know, there is a duplicate of ourselves. And the Bible says very clearly that if when we're born again and we truly have a desire not to sin, if we continue to do, God is saying, you are programmed, you have been conditioned to do something by something that is within you. The Bible calls it sin. Sin that lives in us. that is just a duplicate of oursel who has been adapted or modified to sin, to hate, to lust, to fear, to all of these different spirits that are there. And God says it's not until Proverbs 11:9, until you know what you're up against. See, the reason why I taught last week on on on uh and I didn't even know it was going to be Father's Day uh uh that lesson. I didn't even think about it, but uh uh rejection because that is the key to everything. Rejection. If we can truly understand that God loves us, that when we sin, God sees that duplicate that is in the image of Satan. The duplicate that has been created in us is the one that's doing all those things. And that God truly in his heart is saying, "If you just give me a shot of your heart, I will break that thing off of you and I will recreate that duplicate that I've already placed in your born again spirit, I will make it to come alive in you." Okay. Now, let's go to Revelation 2:14. And I want to put it now into action to the church to where we are today. Remember in the book of Revelation, Jesus appears to John and he is dictating to John seven letters, two different seven churches. And everybody that knows anything about Scathology, uh that's the study of the things of the end. They know that this is the condition of the churches on the end times, the time that we're living in today. Each letter represents the condition of the church. And I want you to see in in verse 14 what Jesus says. But I have a few things against you because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balum who taught Bailac to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality. What is the doctrine of Balor? The doctrine of balance is probably one of the greatest tools that Satan uses to take away the authority that Jesus has given to each and every one of us. The if if you read this the story of Balum, Balum was a prophet. Now, let me say this and and please listen. The fact that a person has a gift from God doesn't make that person uh uh right with God. Okay? I I I don't know which other way to put it. What I'm trying to say is that for example a a person that has given the gift of a good voice is a great singer or a person that's very talented of the arts. You can use that gift for good or for bad. Yes. Okay. You have a good voice, you can sing real good bad music or you can real good good music. You see? So there are gift. Balam was definitely a man who was gifted. Balam is a man who could see into the spirit realm and everybody knew it when the children of Israel are coming and remember God has promised a promised land to them. They're coming. So Bailo who is the king over there wants to destroy them. But Balac who is a very demonic individual knows that without a written program an act something that a plan of action he cannot destroy the children of Israel. He says now they are blessed of God. So they are blessed in the spirit realm. So I cannot take I cannot take them on on the physical realm because they have a spiritual backing. So I need to neutralize that spiritual authority that they have before I can take them on. Now why am I saying this? Because you have a spiritual backing. You have as a born again believer your name is written in heaven and Satan's plan of action is not going to work against you. Okay, if it if it confronts you here in the natural. So Bala says to Balam, "Okay, I need a a short program, something that I can act on. Since you're a man of God, since you look into the spirit, I want you to curse them. And as soon as you curse him, I'll take him on." So he says, "Okay, let me see." So Balon goes over there, he starts open his mouth, and nothing but blessings come on. What are you doing? Three times this is repeated. So Bailo could not take on the children of Israel because he didn't have a program or have an action. So what did Bailac do? He offered enough to Balam and Balam finally said, "You know what? You can't fight these people in the physical realm. They have the spiritual backing of God. You have to get them. You have to have their authority removed from them. And the way to do that is you go into the spirit realm and you get them to do something that will challenge the very authority that God has given them. And then you can take him on. Now notice what I said. It says uh Revelation 2:14, Balon who taught Bailo to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel. He taught him. He taught this guy. He said, "I can't curse him for you, but I can show you how you can take their authority away from them." What's the stumbling block? Eat food sacrifice to idol. You know what that means to us today? That means taking heed or paying attention to demonic doctrine. You see, this is why it's so important, my friend, that even what you watch on TVN, that even what you what you watch in Christian television, that even what you hear, because if there's a Bum over there who is really gifted of God and is sold out for the the the great uh castles and palace and their fame and all this fortune, these people are going to come in and they are going to present you a gospel that is not the true gospel of Jesus Christ. And when that gets you into a position where you begin to doubt the authority of Christ, then Satan had you here in the realm, his program against you is going to begin to work. But we have to be very careful because of look at second Timothy. Uh let's go there real quick. Second Timothy uh 3 and we'll read one to five. This is Paul warning us way ahead of time. But know this that in the last days perilous times will come. I want you to to to hold on to the word in your mind there. Perilous uh uh uh means times of stress. Okay? For men will be lovers of themselves. Now Balam can be put in that category. Balam was offered an awful lot of money and fame and fortune. He was later killed, by the way, by the Israelites. But he was offered lots and lots of things. And unfortunately many maybe not many I won't judge but I know for a fact that there are leaders within the realm of of the church within here the United States people that we look up to and stuff like that that I have no doubt have sold themselves to uh this you know the the fame and the fortune and the things to where you know you cannot even get close to these guys when they come around you know they're like superstars. charge uh and and and because of that lovers of money, boasters, proud blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiven, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, hotty, lovers of pleasure rather than loving of lovers of God. And look what it says in verse 5. This is what I want you to see. Having a form of godliness. This is not talking about the the rock stars, my friend. I don't think any of you here ever uh will associate the the the punk or or or the rappers or these people as having a form of godliness. You know, Madona doesn't have a form of governance and Britney Spears and all these other people. So, he's talking about religious leaders. Had to be. Yes. He cannot be talking about anybody else. It had to be talking about somebody who is giving you a word, you know, somebody who is influence or chaping what is going on in the churches today because you know uh uh if we all feed from the same trough uh uh uh you poison the water, everybody's going to get poisoned. This is why it's so important sometimes you need to fast certain things like that. allow only God to speak to you through his word and through your prayer and through your meditation. Sometimes you need to cleanse your mind from from the influences going around and stuff like that. Okay? I'm in a form of godliness by den remember we're talking about the precondition program because what happens is if I can bring it down a little bit here to earth when the doctor says to you you may have cancer and if it's there on that part it may be inoperable you may die right then and there the authority of Jesus Christ and says you are the Lord who heals me if it is not safely secured Satan will steal that healing from you the minute that you die. So, we need to have that that that that program of God in our hearts is what I'm trying to say. Instead of the program of the devil, we need to be preconditioned by God instead of being preconditioned by by by the devil. You know, when your car gets hit at 70 miles an hour and all of a sudden you're spinning around, what comes out of your mouth is something that have to be there. You don't have time to think it's going to be all right. We're going to be okay. We're going to be fine. Nothing's going to happen. See, that only comes out if it's already been put in there. Thank God that he put it there. But we need to do that for every aspect of our lives. That means we need to and and as the weeks come, uh I I want to make sure I'm going to give you all of the tools that you need to have the Lord do a really selfch check of your soul so that you can whatever demonic program is there. You know, many of us is generational divorce is a generational curse. Uh today people will come and say oh there's no such a thing as generational curses. How Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. That's bail right there. You know if read what the curses of the law is. Sicknesses is part of the curse of the law. If we have been redeemed from the curse of the law automatically without without us doing anything. Why do Christians get sick? Why do the New Testament said if you get sick go to the elders have anoint you with oil. Haven't break the curse. That's right. Okay. The curses have to be broken. The program of Satan within us have to be broken. And I don't know, you know, we don't know when we minister to people, the hardest thing is to know what to do. But we do know that the principles of the word of God work. And if we put the principles of the word of God and if we do the prayers and things, God works. God makes it work. You know, if we're submitted, if we're willing, and sometimes it takes a while. Satan may have been working in that program within your family for a thousand years. They might if you could go back a thousand generation I mean a 100 generation uh in your life you could find out that this has been in your line all the way through and it might take some revelation from God. It may take certain things you need to do but we the good thing is that Jesus says I came to heal the broken heart. I came to take the two things that are divided and to make him one again. God wants to make us whole in every area. uh 2 Thessalonians 5 I think it says that that that your whole spirit that your soul and that your body may be kept blameless may be made all one. That is what God is wanting to do. And then he says and from such people turn away. Turn away. He says turn away from such people. What such people? People who are acting out of the flesh or selfish motivation. Let me tell you the soul has power. Psychics that operate in the you know psychic and soul is the same thing. Okay. Psychic that's a word for selfife. Okay. There is power in the supernatural realm and you can operate in that realm. You can go to a psychic or you can uh uh get new age uh uh books. You can get all the things with incantation and you will find out this is why wikah has so many bowlers especially young people because young people want to see power. Young people want to see something that's real. So they go for this stuff. They put a curse on somebody and that curse works. I heard of people that told us, I couldn't believe it when I put a curse on this person for her hair to fall out because they were jealous and envious of her and her hair begin to falling out, man. They were like, "Woo, this stuff it works. There's power there." But the problem with the the power in the psychic or or in the solish realm is that that is the supernatural realm where Satan operates. And Satan has stuff in you. And you get into that thinking, "Well, I can just use this power for good." Guess what? Satan is going to get your button and he's going to bound you more than ever before because this is how it works. That's how he does. So, we need to elevate ourselves. Get out of the psychic or the supernatural or the solish realm and only trust in the spirit realm or the the the Holy Spirit. Jesus said you will not need nobody to teach you. But when the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth comes upon you, you will know what to do. When we separate ourself by what makes sense to the eyes, we will know what to do. That's what he's saying. Now, I'll close here. Hebrews 12:26-29 talks about that God wants to remove everything that is not eternal. 1 Corinthians 13:13. Uh uh but these things remain, faith, hope, and love. And the greater is love. when you say to God and this will move on into tonight. Uh I won't be here next week but there will be a class Fred is going to be covering uh for me and he's dealing uh with one of the areas that I have taught him that we're dealing. So he'll be here so please be here. I got to feel for a pastor that's having a a bypass thing done next week and tonight. I got to go there tonight too but I won't be here next week. But the week after that, when I get back, I'm going to get with the areas that as you begin to ask the Lord to remove that satanic programming and conditioning that we have all been brought up to, there's going to be a fire. There's going to be because our our God is a consuming fire. So, I want you to meditate on that scripture because we're going to deal with the scripture next time. Okay? Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray your blessing upon each and every one of your children here. I thank you for loving them, for keeping them. Thank you, Father God, for teaching us how to be set free from any control that the enemy may have over us. That we may truly and in all things glorify Jesus, the name that is above every name, the name of the only begotten son who died to deliver us from our sins. In Jesus name we thank you Lord. Amen. - WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that the Christian battle is not against people but against spiritual forces and internal struggles that oppose God’s will. By examining Paul’s exhortation to put on the whole armor of God, this lesson emphasizes the difference between walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit. It aims to equip Christians with a deeper awareness of principalities, powers, and spiritual wickedness, and to encourage believers to stand firm in Christ, knowing that through Him we have the authority to overcome the enemy and claim God’s promises of restoration and victory. WHAT A CHRISTIAN FIGHTS AGAINST - PART 1 Minister Lisa Kane September 24, 2025 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that the Christian battle is not against people but against spiritual forces and internal struggles that oppose God’s will. Synopsis: In this teaching, Minister Lisa Kane unpacks Paul’s instruction in Ephesians 6:11–12, showing that our fight as Christians is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual influences that seek to corrupt and destroy. Drawing from Galatians 5, she contrasts the destructive works of the flesh—such as envy, strife, and immorality—with the life-giving fruit of the Spirit, which believers are called to walk in daily. The lesson highlights how Christ Himself broke the “rules” of sin and death through His victory at the cross, giving us authority as joint heirs with Him. Scriptures such as John 10:10 and 1 Peter 5:8 remind us that the devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but he is limited and subject to God’s judgment. Believers are encouraged to bring their case before the Lord when the enemy steals from them, trusting that God will require sevenfold restoration, as promised in Proverbs 6:30–31. This first part establishes the foundation of understanding what a Christian truly fights against—spiritual powers, not people—and calls us to walk in the Spirit, live in close relationship with God, and stand in faith for His promises. Part 2 will continue with a deeper exploration of Ephesians 6:12. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Opening scripture: Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. As believers in Christ, Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God and then explains why. The first thing he notes is that we don’t fight against flesh and blood. What does that mean, especially when we see people fighting each other everyday? Paul defines this in Galatians 5:14-21 KJV 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. When we don’t operate in love by loving our neighbor as ourself, then we bite and devour one another. Paul tells us to not be consumed with that but to walk in the spirit. When we walk in the flesh, we manifest adultery, fornication, etc. We allow envy and jealousy to rule within but as believers we’re to walk in the spirit. Galatians 5:22-26 KJV 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. Now that we understand that we’re not fighting each other but our internal influences and the influences of others, let’s continue with Ephesians 6:12 KJV 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. We fight against principalities. What are principles? According to www.dictionary.com , a principle is: noun 1. an accepted or professed rule of action or conduct. a person of good moral principles. 2. a fundamental, primary, or general law or truth from which others are derived. the principles of modern physics. So, why does Paul tell us that we fight against rules of action or conduct or the general law of truth? Are rules actually meant to be broken? Do you know that Jesus broke many rules while walking the earth? He cast out demons. He healed the sick. He walked on water. He brought the dead back to life and even rose from the dead three days after His crucifixion. Romans 6:23 KJV 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. If the wages of sin is death, shouldn’t we all die and stay dead? Isn’t that our due justice according to God’s law? And yet, Jesus tells us this rule is broken. Those that choose to believe, will have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Even Psalm 103:1-5 KJV – read the whole chapter 103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. We’re told that He forgives and heals our diseases. We shouldn’t have these benefits and yet we do because of God’s tender mercies. Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV 22 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. So, what does Paul mean that we fight against principalities: John 10:10 KJV 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 1 Peter 5:8 KJV 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: We have an enemy that will do everything in his power to steal, kill, and destroy us if given the chance. Remember, the devil needs permission to do anything. Read Job 1. We have the right to break the rules just like Jesus did because we’re joint heirs with Him. Romans 8:17 KJV 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. And just like Jesus suffered, so do we. But here’s something more that Jesus promised us: Proverbs 6:30-31 NKJV 30 People do not despise a thief If he steals to satisfy himself when he is starving. 31 Yet when he is found, he must restore sevenfold; He may have to give up all the substance of his house. A thief is required to restore sevenfold. I asked chatgpt, what does sevenfold mean and this is what it provided: The word “sevenfold” means seven times as much or multiplied by seven. It can be used in different ways depending on the context: 1. General Meaning • If something increases sevenfold, it becomes seven times greater in size, number, or intensity. o Example: “Profits increased sevenfold” = profits became seven times larger. 2. Biblical / Spiritual Meaning • In the Bible, “sevenfold” often symbolizes completeness, fullness, or divine perfection, since the number seven carries special spiritual significance. • For example: o Genesis 4:15 – God says that anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance sevenfold (a complete and perfect retribution). o Psalm 12:6 – God’s words are described as pure, “purified seven times,” symbolizing perfect refinement. o Proverbs 24:16 – “For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again,” showing fullness of perseverance. 3. Figurative Usage • “Sevenfold” can also mean in every way or completely. o Example: “He repaid evil sevenfold” = he repaid fully, completely, and overwhelmingly. ✨ So, sevenfold means “seven times over” in the literal sense, and “full, complete, or perfect” in the symbolic/spiritual sense. So, when the devil steals your health from you, your finances from your, a loved one from you, he is required to recompense you seven times. Psalm 7:8 KJV 8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me. You can go before the Lord and ask Him to judge you if you believe that a thief has taken something from you but be ready for that judgement. Are you in the secret place with Him as Psalm 91 says? Have you made God a relationship vs a religion? Have you sought first the kingdom of God and His righteousness first as Matthew 6:33 says? Do you know you are saved and that Jesus is the Son of God? Have you confessed Jesus as Lord, Romans 10:9? Once you are firmly minded, humble yourself before the Lord and simply tell Him that the thief took from you, and then ask Him to make the devil recompense you. Matthew 7:7 KJV 7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Whatever you ask it shall be given. This is part 1 of understanding what a Christian fights against. We will resume next week for part 2 in Ephesians 6:12. Home Previous Next
- GIVE AN ACCOUNT | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
GIVE AN ACCOUNT The purpose of this teaching is to help believers understand the biblical command to “give an account” (Romans 14:12). It emphasizes that God not only evaluates our actions but also the motives behind them. By examining Scripture, the teaching encourages Christians to use their God-given gifts, talents, and opportunities with faithfulness, love, and humility so that their lives may bear fruit that glorifies Christ and withstands God’s judgment. GIVE AN ACCOUNT Minister Lisa Kane July 25, 2025 Objective: The purpose of this teaching is to help believers understand the biblical command to “give an account” (Romans 14:12). Synopsis: In this teaching, you are invited to reflect on Romans 14:12, which reminds us that each one of us will give an account of ourselves to God. This is not only about the things we do, but also about the motives behind them. God is interested in why we act, not just what we do. You’ll see through passages like Titus 1:16, Luke 16, and 1 Peter 4 that every believer has been entrusted with gifts, talents, and the grace of God. These are not meant to be hidden or taken for granted, but to be used in service to others, in prayer, and in acts of love. As you use what God has placed in you, He continues to pour out more, multiplying His work through your life. This message encourages you to live intentionally—showing hospitality, interceding for others, speaking words that build up, and enduring trials with the peace of Christ. It’s about being faithful in small things, taking steps of action in your faith, and letting God’s Spirit flow through you daily. Ultimately, when the day comes to stand before the Lord, your desire should be to present a life that honored Him, a life where His gifts were used for His glory. The goal is not perfection, but faithfulness—so that you may hear HisHello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this teaching on Friday, July 25th, 20125. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your mighty word. For your mighty word is holy and powerful. You are faithful and true. You are worthy. You are glorious. Father God, I pray for the listeners to hear your word, to receive your word. I pray that it makes an impact on their lives that they don't forget it, that it actually simmers and boils within them so that it manifests out and is shared unto others. This is your word and you are the king of glory. Thank you in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. It's a good word today. I'm very excited about it. The anointing has been very powerful this week uh since uh Wednesday. Every time I go into prayer with the Lord, it's been been very very good. So this teaching is called give an account. Let's go to our opening scripture here in Romans 14:12. So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God. Now if you notice there, there's a bolded word. The word account is in bold and the word motive after it is in parenthesis. The word account is what the translators used when they translated the King James version. The word motive is from the Hebrew or the Strong's Hebrew Greek dictionary. It's another word that the translators could have used. I like to add those extra words in. It kind of gives us a a better understanding of what the original text was and how it's translated to our language today. Amen. So look at this. Give an account. So then every one of us shall give an account of him of himself to God. Every one of us. Now there are two types of judgment that we are aware of. We have the judgment for the sinners at the very end. We have what's called the judgment seat of Christ where uh those of us who are believers are judged upon the works that we do. We have to give an account. And by the way that word account means motive. Why did you do something? God is interested in the motive activities not just the actual doing. If you do something with a bad attitude, that's going to be counted against you. So, here we're going to look at some scriptures. And I've got it's a neat revelation that uh I I got a part of it Wednesday night when I was at church. So, look at this. Uh let's go to Titus 1:16. They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him, being admon abom abominable and disobedient unto every good work reprobate or unapproved rejected. So basically somebody who says they know God but they're rejecting, look at what it says here, they're rejecting him. They're rejecting the works to him. What I'd like to show you here is that you every one of us is given a gift, a talent. We know about the fruits of the spirit. We know about the gifts of the spirit. You can go research those and look them up. Uh, I will say this that as a believer in Christ, we're given a a very special, precious gift. A gift that can we just keep it to ourselves? No. This is a gift that we need to let the whole world know about what we have in Christ. There's a parable that was taught Wednesday night at church. I'm only going to get one scripture out of it. You can go read uh the beginning of Luke chapter 16 here and read the whole parable for yourself. But this kind of gives you an idea. It says, "And he called him and said unto him, how is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account motive of thy stewardship or administration, for thou mayest be no longer steward." So it's a rich man who hired a steward to manage his home, and the steward did not do a good job. God gives us gifts. He gives us the fruit of the spirit, the gifts of the spirit. He gives us things. So the question then comes to us is what do you do with those gifts? What do you do with those things that God has given us that are precious that may you know do you just take it for granted? Now that's not something we want to see. Do you just take your Christianity for granted? Um you are forgiven. Yes. And he will continue to forgive you because that is who Jesus is because that's what Jesus does. He forgives and he will continue to forgive. But there does come a point. He will continue to forgive. But you will be having to give an account to God for the things that were given to you. If you were given the ministry of worship, you need to be in that ministry worshiping. If you're given a ministry of going out on the streets and preaching the good news, then you need to do that. I know that the Lord gave me a gift of teaching. So, I may not be out in front of a pulpit or in front of millions of cameras. No, but I'm still doing it. So, when you're faithful in the small things, you will be faithful in the bigger things. You'll see that scripture here very shortly. This is where we need to be with Christ. Be ready to give give an account of the gifts and the fruits that he has given us. Amen. So, let's go to first Peter and let's look at this. We're going to look at the whole chapter 4 and we're going to go through this one step at a time. And I just really want you to see how Peter addresses this. He says, "For as much then as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind, thoughtfulness, moral understanding." So being thoughtful of what Christ was thoughtful of as he suffered for us. Being of understanding is what Christ was as he understood us. For he that hath suffered in the flesh hath see ceased from sin. We're no longer in sin when we start being likeminded with Christ and what he did. He suffered for us. Yes, he has blessed us and we're blessed beyond measure. There are many of us that there are There are Christians who are believers that have money that are philanthropist that they give and they give and they give and they the Lord just keeps blessing because that's a promise he gave to us in his word. He says try me. That's in Malachi 3. Test me. You won't even be able to have a storage enough to fill the things because you keep giving. He keeps blessing you. So as you have your gift, you keep giving your gift. He keeps pouring more into your gift. So that by the time it comes for you to give an account to the Lord of what you have done, you will find your account is paid in full complete because you were a manager and administrator over the gift that he gave you. Now what is that price? It's nothing in the reality of the fact that you have Jesus as your Lord and Savior and it's a free gift that he gave you. So you freely give it because it mean it costs you nothing. It simply means that you are here ready to give an account to God. But here you don't do it because of the motive being ready to give it to God. You do it because you love the people that are hearing your word, hearing the teaching of the word of God. praying over them, healing them as you pray over them, as you minister to them. Because as you do that, the more the spirit pours out into you. So, you're giving, paying, just throwing it out there. your your payment is your time is your precious time that you gave up from the world because you didn't want to be a part of the world where you gave it to God where you said I want to know more of you Lord and the more you know of him the more you pour it out your cup runth over and it just keeps pouring out of you it keeps ministering to those around that is giving an account this is where we're getting into understanding what Christ did for us and that we do the same. Look at what it says here number two verse two that he no longer shall live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust longing of men but to the will or determination choice of God. God chooses you. So are you just let's talk about this for just a quick moment because I really want this idea to come across. Are you just saying, "Okay, God, give me, give me, give me, give me, give me." But you're not taking any action. You're not, you know, faith comes by hearing the word of God. So, you have to act on your faith. Remember the woman who touched the hem of his garment? She was unclean. And since she kept being unclean, she couldn't leave the tent because it was against the law to leave unclean because then you would make all the others unclean around you. But she made a choice, a determination. She heard about a man named Jesus. She heard about his healings and she said, "I'm going to go touch him unclean and all because I need my healing. I want my healing." And she went and got it. And she was healed. And the Lord said, Jesus said to her, "Your faith has made you whole." She took action. She didn't just lay there and wait and say, "Lord, magically work through me." How can he work through you if you don't even take the steps or if you don't get up out of bed or you don't even go to the pulpit or you don't even go and ask pastors, "Can you teach?" Or even if you don't even go and say, "Can I pray with you?" If you're not taking the actions, now sometimes we want to say, "Okay, Holy Spirit, I don't know if I should do this." You're going to have to open the door. And then he does, you need to take that action because it is time for you to move in that area because you will eventually give an account of your talents and gifts. And there are a lot of parables that Jesus talks about this. You can go research that. I want you to do your homework. Uh I only have 30 minutes. I'm trying to give you just a 30 minute teaching where it's not going to take your entire day, but that you do learn a good golden nugget. And I'm hoping, you know, out of this entire message, I'm not here to condemn or judge you. You do you with God, but I am here to encourage you to say, get up, use your talents that he gave you. Use them to minister. Amen. Continuing on in chapter four of First Peter, we're in verse 6. For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to the men in the flesh, but live according to the God in to God in the spirit. You see, the gospel was preached to everyone. people who won't receive, people who receive but don't live, and people who receive and choose the determination to live for Christ. But that gospel is the same to every single one of us. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and he has forgiven us. He has redeemed us. Now the question is, how much do you want to share that with others? Did he really really save you? Did it mean something to you? Did it transform the inside of you. This is something to think about because if it did, you ought to be willing to show the world how much it changed you. You know, as much as I spend time in the secret place with the Lord, I'm certain that as I go out, people notice and see things. And I always tell them, it's Jesus, King of glory. Amen. That's who we're giving the glory to is Jesus. Verse seven, but the end of all things is at hand. Be ye therefore sober or sound minded and watch abstain from why unto prayer. Now that's another thing that every one of us can do in the secret place with the Lord is pray. I've taught on this many times. You can go look at my past teachings. But I teach on intercessory prayer. And I know that God answers my prayers. I come before him. One, I I pray for myself because I really don't know how many people are praying for me. And even so, I need to forgive myself and I need to just humble myself before the Lord and start fresh and new. His mercies are new every morning. So then I come to him in likemindedness. I'm trying to be likeminded, trying to do what he does. I come and renew my humbleness and forgiveness every morning because that's how he taught me to do that. And then I go in and I ask for my family. I ask for my church. I ask for and I pray and intercede for healing, for deliverance, for belief. Uh this is the things that I do because that is what's been given to me. And every one of us have that responsibility to pray for our household, to pray for our loved ones, to pray for our church, to pray for our pastors, to pray for our elders, to pray for our neighborhoods, to pray for our community, to pray for our government, to pray for our presidents, whether we like them or not. These are our responsibilities and you will give an account to that. So what you measure after the fire burns the hay and the wood when you're there before God, all that's left is whatever survived the fire. What will survive the fire? I'm going to tell you right now, prayer will. And I've got a long I mean I've been praying for so long and for so many years that if it was a continuous book it would be very long miles upon miles long. I will be given an account. I have to give an account to that. But at least I can say I did this much. Could I have done more? Sure. But I didn't just do a little. I gave what I could the he in the here and the now because I know I'm going to have to give an account. I pray for healing. Does that mean everybody gets healed? No. I don't know why. I don't understand that. God is who he is. You see, God is God because he knows what's in the minds and in the hearts of the individual. And for whatever reason, if he chooses not to heal you, that's on you and him. That's not me. But my part is to pray for you. And if I did my part, I partnered with Jesus and I said, and he said to ask and whatever you ask, it shall be given. I ask for healing over people. So, I'm expecting it. So, whatever the other side of that is that I don't know just reminds me that I'm not God. But it does remind me that I still have to do my duty to be prepared to give an account for what's coming for me when I'm judged. And I've got to do it soberly. You know, that's another thing is um we have to be very cautious uh cautious conscience of all of the things that are going on around us because there are doctrines that are being taught that are false and we you know will God accept you in heaven whether you give a very little bit of account or no account. You everything you did wasn't for God but you called on him at one time. And it says in Romans 10:13, "Anyone who dwells upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Will you be saved? Yes. This has nothing to do with salvation. This has to do with your reward as you come into it. Now, that doesn't mean you go and do the things that you do just because you're expecting a reward. You can start that way, by the way. There's nothing wrong with that, per se. But what happens is when you start doing things for the Lord and it starts transforming you on the inside because your your spirit changes, your soul changes, your goals change, you become a more godly, righteous person because now you're putting God first. You're putting love first. You're seeing people through his eyes because he's changing you. Now there's an account that he will love to see. And that's another thing is when I think about giving an account to the Lord am I looking at it as judgment? No. I'm looking at look how much I did for you Lord. This is what I could do and I'm so well pleased for what I've done because I yeah I could have done better but I was able to do this. This is when you have to just say look Lord and he will say you did perfect. You did good. come in thy good faithful servant. We need to be prepared spiritually, physically, mentally, in our minds, and in our hearts through the word of God, through being in his presence, through prayer ready for that day because it is coming. Don't think that you won't be judged because you will be. Everybody will be judged. That's that first scripture we read. Verse eight. And above all things, have fervent charity among yourselves, for charity shall cover the multitudes. And you know, when somebody obviously shows you they're not worthy. And it really you can see that they they don't love themselves. This is when you show them how much you love them because then God is showing his love through you to them. Love will wipe out that sin. This you will be given an account just even on that. You may not even know it. In fact, when you're there that day, there can be things that you did you didn't even realize, good and bad. But the best part of it is is when you see those moments that you show love, that you show godliness and you were just like, "Here you go, Lord. You're just going to show what you do." And you don't even it's something you don't even remember. But at that moment, you're going to look back and go, "Wow, Lord, you did that. Look what you did through me. It it I hope this is motivating you and encouraging to you to realize you want more of the scriptures to come out of you, more of his love because he will move through you and you will have a good account to give. Amen. Verse nine, use hospitality one to another without grudging. I have a lot of scriptures, but I'm going to take a moment here to if you notice this generation back 20 years ago, you know, uh my mom and neighbors, they would always have something prepared, danishes, donuts, pastries, and and always have some sort of drink around that uh you know, like a tea or lemonade. And so when visitors came in, you were ready for visitors. Your house was always But then all of a sudden this generation came up where someone knocks on the door. We're hiding behind them. Nobody's home. Well, look what it says. This is scriptural. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. Receive your guest in. If the house isn't clean, don't worry about it. Just say, "Hey, you know what? I'll get to it." And then go clean your house. What if God shows up at your house all of a sudden? Don't you think you ought to be prepared? Just like getting being prepared to give an account, you ought to be prepared to have a visitation from the Lord. That's another one that I wasn't expecting out this teaching free verse 10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another as good stewards, manager of the manifold grace of God. You see, you've been given the gift of grace. God has forgiven you. You are a manager of that grace. You ought to be giving that same gift to everyone around. So if you're walking in hatred towards Trump or hatred towards the way the world is working or acting, you need to forgive. Manage your grace because you'll be given an account for that. Oh hallelujah. Verse 11. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God. You see now every spoken word ought to be words of God that are good, that are scriptural. This is why I teach. You know, when I realized I I could teach and the Lord was showing this all to me, I was like, you know, I I can't do this. But then as I began to study the scriptures in the Holy Spirit, because, you know, I didn't go to seminary school. I didn't get taught by man. I'm not taught by man. I'm taught by the Holy Spirit. So, I what the Holy Spirit reveals to my mind and my heart. And that is what I'm going to show you through scripture. And I will tell you when I'm wrong. If I'm wrong and I missed it, I will tell you. I remember misquoting uh Joel 21:13. I was quoting as Joel 2:32. I did that for like four uh teachings in a row. Caught myself through the Holy Spirit and I was able to correct. I didn't go back into uh those videos. I just went ahead and corrected myself on that next video and moved forward. But you see, this is where we have this gift that we ought to be managing. We ought to be sharing it with others and we should be teaching whether we're good at it or not. The Holy Spirit is Yeah. Here's the funny thing is you're probably not even hearing exactly what I'm saying. You're hearing what the Holy Spirit is talking to you in your mind. And it's funny because I'll hear comments of what people say I taught and I'll be like, I don't remember teaching on that. But see, that was the Holy Spirit teaching it through this message because your heart was in that place and he was working in your heart at that time. It's how the Holy Spirit works. This is what a good uh a great teacher and uh word of God minister is. I love that. I love that. Verse 11. Starting at verse 11 again, if any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God. If any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth, which is what I was just talking about. Whether you're a very good speaker or not, I know that some of my early teaching, they're hard to hear, but I still did it. And the more you practice, the better you get at it, the more you do it. So, if you're a person who's been put into ministry, you minister, and you do it to the ability which God has given you. And then says here at the end of verse 11, that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen. You see, you're doing it for God. You're not doing it for if somebody gets saved or not. You're you're saying, "Okay, I'm going to teach this word, but it's to give him the glory. The glory belongs to God. This isn't about me and how many people I can reach. I have a very small following if if even it comes and goes." So, you know what? Again, I do this because I know someday I'm going to be a given. I have to give an account for the talent that he has put in me. So, I'm using that talent to the best of my ability. Same with intercessory prayer. I've been given two talents. Hey, you may have been given 10. You ought to be showing them, ministering, manifesting them through the word of God, giving him the glory. You know, I I follow a lady who who does cooking and while she's in there cooking, she's talking about Jesus. She's demonstrating the grace of God just in her spoken words as she talks about her life and then she's teaching how to cook and she's talking about her life. That's a ministry and a very powerful one. She's got a very large following. If you want to know who that is, it's Brenda Gant and she's got cookbooks and stuff. I like her because of her belief in Christ and she's ministering. Oh, this is the time where we just need to stand with Christ and demonstrate him in everything we do because we will be giving an account. Don't be lazy about that. If you're given a house, keep it up. Have some respect. It is hard. It's harder to respect something that was given to you than it is if you worked at it. If you built your own house, believe you and me, you're going to have every nook and cranny always clean because you put sweat and blood into it. Amen. Now, with the gift of Christ, there is you're not putting anything in. It's a gift. He's given it to you for free. So, with that gift, what do you do? Well, I'm going to get self-control, gift of the Holy Spirit, and I'm going to manifest and teach his word through whatever ability I can. Amen. So here it says in verse 12, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange uh some strange thing happened unto you." But see here, I love this. Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as though some strange thing happened unto you. the time you feel heat or you're under pressure or something didn't go right, you you feel it, then all of a sudden you're calling out to God like it's a strange thing. You have God all the time. He is your gift. You need to be demonstrating him all the time. But rejoice in as much as ye are partakers of Christ's suffering, that when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. You see, you are walking testimony. Whatever trials you've been through and whatever trials I've been through, they're they're different. Some are similar, but they're different. And if we're all sharing our trials, we're sharing Christ and his grace because his grace still supersedes all of this. And eventually one day we're going to be in the presence of God past judgment, past all of that. We're just going to be basking in his presence. I don't know what else heaven is going to be like, but just for that, I look forward to being in the presence of my Lord and Savior. Amen. Verse 14. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye, for the spirit of glory and of God rested upon you. On their part, he is evil spoken of, but on your part, he is glorified. You're glorifying him. You're showing the world, look at I've got peace because he is king of glory. Amen. Verse 15. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, as a thief, or as an evildoer or as a busy body in other men's matters. You see, we don't have to be in other men's matters. Notice this says by murderers, too. You know, we murder people through our spoken word. You need to humble yourself before the Lord. Ask him to help you control your mouth to have that selfcont control. Let that peace supersede everything else in you. And that peace comes from him, not you. Yet, if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed. You see, when you're a believer in Christ and you suffer, you know what? You're showing the world, I'm a believer. You know what? He's king of glory. I don't care what I'm going through. Eventually, I'm going to be in his presence forever. So, this doesn't bother me. I have peace because of who he is. That is where believers need to be standing strong in today. Because this is where we show the world how much better it is to be a be a believer. Because I don't know how anyone can suffer somebody dying or somebody suffering without having Christ in you. We need that Christ in us. We need his peace. We need that. For the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God. And it first begin at us. What shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? Oh, it begins with the word of the church. So, it has to begin in us. So, we have to take make a choice, a decision and say, I'm going to give a good account. That means I'm going to give all the talents that God has given me. I'm going to utilize him to share the gospel. Whether I'm giving gas at the gas station or putting gas in my car or I'm at the grocery store, somebody asks me or I look at somebody, we make eye contact. Hey, are you a believer in Christ? He can give you peace if you need it. Let's pray together. That is putting Christ first in you. And that is getting the talents. You're going to give a good account afterwards. Verse 18. And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore there wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in welloing as unto a faithful creator. You see you are letting him have control and letting him determine. So when you do come into your presence you can say listen Lord with what I had and what I could do here's what I did. It isn't much but it's as much as I can give you. And he's gonna say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Just because one, you believed, and two, you took it seriously. You took your belief seriously, you took the grace of God seriously. Oh, hallelujah. And in 1 Timothy 4 1-5, now the spirit speaketh this expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies and hypocrisy, or having their conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving. for it is sanctified, made holy by the word of God and prayer. I bring these scriptures in. I know I'm going over time a little bit here, but I want you to see something here. When people are telling you, you need to be on a diet, you shouldn't eat that, don't eat these meats, this is bad for you, this causes cancer, they're walking in the flesh. They're not walking in the spirit. As a believer in Christ, your body is made whole. You are already healed. you have and if you're taking holy communion and you you take the grace of God seriously, you take his presence and have that relationship with him, you're you're in your devotionals with him, you're in the secret place with him, and you go and talk to him boldly and confidently and say, "Lord, you know what? I'm doing this for you." And as you do that, because that's what he's teaching you. He's teaching you the boldness and the confidence. As you express that in his presence, God almighty, the creator. When you go out into the world and you're getting gas or gas station or the grocery store, you're it's much smaller thing to talk to somebody else in the flesh, human, than it is to talk to God, the creator. Isn't that amazing? come to the revelation and let the realization that as you're going to give an account eventually one day you want to give a good account. You want to give an account that says listen Lord you gave me this talent and some people will do it at 100%. Some will do it at 60%. Some will do it at 30%. But do something with the talent that he has given you. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. Thank you for teaching us how to give a good a good account that we are ready to do that that in every moment of every day to the best of our ability because we're flesh. We're we're human and it is challenging and difficult but because we're not God. But we're going to try to be as much like you as possible and as much use the talents that you have given us. Help us use those talents. Help us take up the responsibility of the grace that you've given us to utilize it to save more souls, especially as we come closer to the end times here. Father God, thank you. Thank you for motivating us, encouraging us to share the grace and the gospel with others to let people know that we can be at peace because it is your peace that can that surpasses understanding and that is within us because you gave it to us. You are king of glory. We love you, praise you, and honor you and worship you. And in the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye bye. words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. Bye bye. The teaching aims to strengthen believers’ understanding of how unbelief hinders God’s miracles, while faith opens the door to His supernatural works. It encourages self-reflection, prayer, and reliance on the Word of God to grow from doubt into strong, active belief. Synopsis: Lisa Kane begins the message in Mark 5, where Jesus raises Jairus’ daughter from the dead despite ridicule and unbelief from the surrounding crowd. She contrasts those who mocked Jesus with those who trusted Him, showing how belief determines outcomes. Drawing parallels to Israel’s unbelief in the wilderness (Psalm 106), she illustrates how misplaced desire and complaining led to forfeited blessings and lost opportunities. The teaching emphasizes that unbelief has consequences, while faith allows access to God’s promises. Lisa explains how Jesus intentionally surrounded Himself with disciples who believed when performing miracles, highlighting that our level of faith affects the breakthroughs we experience. The message also explores Mark 9, where a desperate father admits both belief and unbelief, showing that honest dependence on Jesus can invite His help to strengthen our faith. Throughout, Lisa reminds believers that miracles are not only biblical history but present realities, urging them to build faith through Scripture, prayer in the Holy Spirit, and testimonies of God’s works. She stresses that confession of Jesus’ Lordship brings salvation, deliverance, healing, and victory over sickness and bondage. The message concludes with a call to unlearn worldly limitations, embrace trust in Christ, and boldly step into the authority God has given His children—choosing the side of active belief rather than unbelief. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Saturday, September 9th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Which Side of Belief Are You On? Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. Lord, let your word not return void, but let it bring in the harvest. Let people hear and see, receive and believe and live your word in the glorious, absolutely wonderful name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to start off in Mark 5:40. And they ridiculed him. But when he had put them all outside, he took the father and the mother of the child and those who were with him and entered where the child was lying. Okay. So what I want to do is I want to show you a point of view of do you see things with your eyes in the physical? Do you see things with your eyes in the spiritual? And as you can see here, this group of people, we're going to be delving into this event that happened where Jesus raises this little girl from the dead. Uh they ridiculed him. They didn't believe him. But you got to ask yourself why. You know, you know, they should have believed too because if you go back, I mean, even at their time when Elisha was buried and they another man had died and they put his bones on top of Elisha's bones, that man came alive. And the only reason I I laugh is because there's a story and I'm going to digress and share this little quick story with you and then we'll delve right into the scripture here. But a man and his wife and his mother-in-law went to Israel for a holiday. And uh the mother-in-law passes away while in Israel. And uh the coroner says, "Well, we can ship her back to the States for $5,000 or we can bury her here for $200." And he says, "Okay, we'll ship her back." And he's like, "Well, wait a minute. You're in the Holy Land. This is the Holy Land, you know." And he's like, "Yeah, yeah, I know." He says, "We'll ship her back." And he's like, "Mask? Why?" He says, "Oh, man. You bury her here, she might come back from the dead like Jesus and the bones of Elisha or the the person that was put on the bones of Elisha. Anyways, he didn't want to risk it. I just thought that was funny because it's just so applicable to what we were talking about today. So, he believed obviously and and you know there you know it's a matter of what you believe in and where your eyes are, you know. So, what I'm going to do with this teaching is try to get you to look beyond the physical and see what Jesus can do before you decide to ridicule him like this group of people, you know. And and another thing I really want you to see here is I want you to understand what the consequences of the lack of your belief is. Look at here. The Israelites in Psalm 106:24-25. Then they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word, but complained in their tents and did not heed the voice of the Lord. If you go look at the Israelites testimony, they were in the wilderness for 40 years. Everyone 21 years or 18 years, I think it's 21 years and younger enter the promised land. Anyone older did not. And it was because of this. They had mana, food, angel food from heaven given to them. And they were wanting their onions back from the Egyptians when they were in bondage. And because their want and their desire was on the past and they were looking back at their bondage but only seeing what they thought was good. They weren't looking at the good in the moment. Look at the consequence. They despised. Did you see this? They despised the pleasant land that they were going to be going. So they never did get to it. They never entered it. Why give it to them if you're going to complain about it? So they got their wish. So here again, I'm trying to show you where your eyes are so we can get the heart right with God. Amen. So let's go look at Mark 5. Let's look at the whole thing in context. And you know, let me do a refreshing reminder here before we delve even deeper into this. Judge my teaching. Yes, you heard me correctly. Let me repeat that. judge my teaching. You have a responsibility to test what you hear as a believer in Christ or even as an unbeliever. You have to sit there and know what you're hearing. Does it sound right? Is it within context? Is there truth to it? Does it make you feel something on the inside? And if you're struggling with any of that or or this just does not appeal to you, whatever, you need to take it to God. You need to say there's something wrong with her teaching or you need to say what's wrong with me, Lord, and I can't understand her. Maybe you should do both. And then the third is uh you know what, sometimes the teaching is really good, Lord. Hey, that was a great teaching. And then pray for the ministers. You need to be praying for us. all of us ministers, teachers, leaders that that uh share the word of God. You need to be sharing. You need to be praying for each and every one of us. So, get in there and pray. Seriously, get in there and pray. That doesn't mean you come and harass me after you've determined I made a mistake. No, what you do is you go to God. I promise you, he will show me. And if you take a look at all of my past uh teachings and and I've misqued Joel 2:32. I was quoting it as Joel 21:13 I think for a long time there or at least a few messages and the Lord showed me and I got it corrected but I'm not going to go back and correct a past teaching the context is still really good I'm not or the content is still really good so please understand teachers ministers leaders we grow and as we grow we learn more from the word of God so pray for us I haven't done one of those reminders in quite a while okay let's go look at this Jesus raises this little girl from the dead. Okay, so Mark 5:36, as soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, okay, so pause here for a minute. Give you a little background. The ruler of the synagogue knew his daughter was sick. So he goes running to Jesus. He heard about Jesus. He heard he was healing the sick. He decides to run after him, try to get his attention. He He's Jesus is surrounded by a huge crowd. I mean, they're thronging him big time and he's trying to get through. In the meanwhile, people from his household came and said, "Hey, don't bother the master. Don't even talk to him anymore. Your daughter is dead." Jesus heard that, and this is where he is. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid. Only believe." Pause. Only believe. So, how do you believe in something? Now here this ruler of the synagogue had heard about Jesus and knew something was up. Now uh just to kind of give you a quick view of what she is uh raised from the dead. So obviously he believed Jesus can't perform miracles when the lack of belief is there. You can go look that up in all the gospels in his hometown. Uh even in this place where he is right now in this whole Mark chapter five area. He is he he cast out that demon, the legions and he um the people got so scared when he went across to the other side and when he got over there they heard about what happened here and they told him you need to leave. So they got scared and their lack of um their lack of belief their unbelief is what prevented them from having miracles. But as soon as he got back to the other side, here he is now raising this little girl from the dead. He's going to heal the woman with the issue of blood uh that she had for 12 years. This girl that he raises from the dead is 12 years old. The the significant of the number 12 plays a huge role in here. I'm not delving into the teaching of the numbers here. My dad has taught on that and there's teachings uh in House of Faith Ministries or you can find it from other uh ministers out there. But here he's telling this ruler of the synagogue, don't be afraid, only believe. So here, this ruler of the synagogue hears him and sum things up. So let's continue on with this event. And he prevented no one to follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James. Now, why would he only take so many of his disciples? Every person has a level of belief. You know, if you go look at uh Thomas after Jesus was raised from the dead, he didn't want to believe till he could put his fingers into the holes and the side of Jesus. He doubted. So notice, you know, you don't see Jesus grabbing him. He's getting the ones he knows believes. So now he's gathering a group of people who are believers in raising someone from the dead because he needs that to raise this. By the way, Jesus can raise anyone from the dead any which way. But he's trying to teach his disciples and any minister of the word of God where we could perform these miracles and get them up from the grave. He's trying to show us how to do it because we're not God. We're not Jesus. We don't say let there be light and there's light. We can't do that. We have limitations. Jesus doesn't. But he's showing us in the limitations how to get beyond the limitations. And here you can clearly see he's bringing believers around. In verse 38, then he came to the house of the ruler of the synagogue who and saw a tumult and those who wept and wailed loudly. Now, this still goes on today, but in the Middle East, when someone passes away, it becomes a huge to-do. In fact, they have professional whalers. You can hire someone to come in and whail at your house when you pass away. This is something that they do out there. Well, Jesus walks into this with his group of people that he brought with him. And when he came in, he said to them, "Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead, but sleeping." And look at this. and they ridiculed him. They didn't believe. So now Jesus is coming into this state of unbelief. How many ministers are you're teaching the word of God and you've you're trying to teach something spiritual that you your level of belief is way up here but the person listening their level of belief is way down here. It becomes challenging. But look what Jesus did. He said, "But when he had put them all outside, so he took all those unbelievers, sent them outside, says, "You go out here, you know, and he he's taking control of the situation." So he's grabbed the father, the mother, the of the child and those who were with him, those are the disciples that he selected and entered where the child was lying. That was our opening scripture. Then he says he then he took the child by the hand and said to her to Lethkakumi which is translated little girl I say to you arise. Immediately the girl arose and walked for she was 12 years of age and they were overcome with great amazement. Now not everyone responds the same way and I really want to point this out here while we're here. So take a look at the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the Herodians. They saw the same miracles as these people did and they thought he was filled with a demon, a devil, be elabub. So, everybody has their own opinions and what have you. But where's your belief? Because now I'm going to ask you a very personal question. Do you believe that someone could be raised from the dead? You might be thinking, "Well, that might have been done in the past. It might have been done in the Bible, but they can't do it anymore today. I promise you, those miracles are still happening. You're just not hearing them. You're not seeing them. You're not looking in the right place. But I will tell you this, it starts with you trusting in God. It does start with trust. How do you get to this point where your level of belief can change? Because that's what you need to look at now. Are you are you going to continue to believe that no one could be raised from the dead? That's a very good question. You have to realize some point in your life, you heard these things. They have to be real. Somewhere along the road of life, you've got to realize this could happen in my lifetime. Maybe I could raise someone from the dead. You know, as a believer in Christ, when you start to walk with God, I mean, Peter walked on water with Jesus. I know I've tried walking on water. By the way, I failed every single time. But that doesn't mean my level of belief says I can't. I know someday maybe I can. Even uh Martha when he raised Lazarus from the dead. I know we'll all be together in our kingdom at the end here. And he's like, but you got to believe here and now. And you can see even I have my limitation. So how do we get our belief to go from here to here in the now? So let's continue on. Let's look at another event here. Mark 9 uh 21- 27. So we're further along in the book of Mark. So he asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" That's Jesus talking. The father brings a child over to him. And this child is convulsing. The body is thrown into fire. The body is thrown into water. They have to pull him out to save him. Otherwise, this demon that he's possessed with is going to try is trying to kill him. And it's a deaf and dumb mute type of demon. So Jesus is asking the father, "How long has this been happening?" And he said, "Well, from childhood and often he has thrown him both into the fire, into the water to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us and help us." Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." I'm gonna pause there before we finish the event of this um casting of this demon. All things are possible if you believe. If you believe you can fly, all things are possible. It's what Jesus said. Where's your belief? And I'm gonna tell you right now, all of us are hesitating because how far can I take that belief? Sure, I believe eternity. I'm saved. I'm a Christian. He's got me. He's getting me to heaven. But what can I believe in now today that wow will take us to whole new heights and levels. All things are possible to him who believes. Now let's look at what Jesus does here. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief." Well, there's an oxymoron, right? You know, a contradictory statement. I believe and then help me with my unbelief. In other words, he's saying, "Listen, I went to you. I found you because I heard you're the one who can raise people from the dead. I heard you're the one who can cast out demons and you've been doing it all this time. So, I believe." But then he's also saying, "I haven't seen it personally and I really truly don't know, but I'm asking you to help me with my unbelief." Oh, so now you look at this belief and unbelief situation. This man literally identified himself in the very moment I'm talking about here. So your eyes on the heavenly things where you see spiritual things or are you like it looking in the physical? My car is broken down. It's going to take weeks. I have to get the money for it. I have to do this. But do you believe that it can be fixed now? Or do you believe it's not even broken? You know, when my family moved from um really southern part of uh California, the Wilmington area over there, and they moved to the uh Riverside area, the night of the day, the late afternoon is the last man leaving, my father. He shares his testimony. Car would not start and then he would get it to go. He'd be able to go um you know, a few hundred feet or so. it would break down. It was like something was just keeping him back from leaving. So he knew, he was praying. He kept turning it on, kept going, got onto the freeway. Once he passed the LA County line, car ran fine. There was nothing wrong with the car. Do you believe? Where's your belief? Where's your unbelief? For that matter, do you ask Jesus to help you with your unbelief? That's very important here. This man is saying, "Okay, I need you to fix my son. I am seeing my son go through this torment and I do not want him to go through that because he is my son. I want him saved. He We've had to take extreme measures to take care of him. But you're here because I heard. So, I'm believing and yet I'm asking you to help me with my unbelief." Where do you stand with Jesus? Do you talk to him? Because I'm going to tell you right now, you don't see him. You can't see him. But the moment you talk to him, you're talking in faith to a being that you don't even know for sure exists until you start talking. And then when you see him move in your life, you're like, man, he's real. And your level of belief goes up and up. So let's continue on. So when Jesus saw that the people came running together, so now he's got a huge crowd coming up here. He's, you know, going to cast out this demon. this crowd's coming. He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him, and enter him no more." Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, "He is dead." Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. So the demon came out of him. The child is now clean. Now, I'm going to add an element here that I want you to see. So, with the girl that he rose from the dead, Elisha was rose, excuse me, Lazarus was rose from the dead. The bones that were laid on Elash, Elisha was rose from the dead. When Jesus came rose from the dead and the graves opened, according to Matthew, a lot of graves open, a lot of people came out of the dead. Every single one of these people had to die again because everybody's appointed to die at least once. Hebrews 9:27. So because everybody has to die again. We have to come to the realization of the power and the authority that Jesus has and others. I've seen others raise people from the dead. I've seen it on videos. I and I've heard very good testimony that I trust and believe. So it happens but then that person does eventually die. Friend of ours, she wrote, she got her husband, he had a heart attack, she grabbed and said, "No, you're not dying now." And he lived. He lived for several more years and then he passed on. So they do pass away again. So raising someone from the dead, I want you to have that concept to realize it's the here and the now. for you in your authority you have with God. And and I'm sure what this does to your belief level now, like, well, wait a second. Do I really want that power and authority? Well, think about it this way. We're told we can live a long old life as long as we put God first, do his commandments first, seek his presence. I've been teaching on this for many, many teachings. You can go check all that out. We're told we can have that. We can do that. So that means I've got to follow the commandments of the Lord. I can live a long life. David lived so to such an old age that he had to have they hired a a virgin girl to lay and warm him up at night and cover him with the blankets to keep him warm till he passed on in his old age. So he was blessed with old age. We're we can be blessed with old age. So yes, we can will eventually die. But if someone dies prematurely, yes, we should bring them back from the dead because they were promised to live a long life. You see, now your level of belief should be going up because this is your power and authority as a believer in Christ that you can do this, which means infirmities. You can cast them out. You can get rid of sickness. You don't have to be sick. And I'm trying to teach this freedom in being a believer in Christ. Why? because that's the promises that we have. Go back to what Jesus said. Look it. Jesus said to him in verse 23, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." So you can be not sick, you don't have to ache, you don't have to take pills. Your level of belief has to come from here to here. Which means you have to unlearn some things. We were grow raised and grown in a community where you get sick, you call the doctor, you go visit the doctor, he gives you a pill and you feel better. Takes care of the symptoms. It doesn't take care of the root cause. Sometimes these symptoms continue to repeat and you have to repeat taking pills. Hence the pharmacy industry and its multibillion dollar industry. It's because that's what we were taught as kids. We have to unlearn that and realize Jesus is our healer. Where's your level of belief? See, the devil's done a great job to bring your level of belief down. He's done a great job in the Western Hemisphere to keep you from realizing that we can cast out demons, that we can uh raise people from the dead. He's done all that and he's done an excellent job. Continue here. Look at Jude in verses 20- 21. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. How do you keep your level of belief up? Right here, building yourselves up on your most holy faith. You have to keep talking to Jesus. That's your faith. Jesus, where are you? He's right here. And he keeps telling me, my Bible's over there. I was going to grab it. He keeps talking to me through the Bible and I keep reading it because I want to hear more about him. I want my level of belief, my level of faith to go up. So, I keep building it up every single day. Look at this. Praying in the Holy Spirit. I, you know, when you get baptized, you're filled with the Holy Spirit. That's when the Holy Spirit fills you up when you get water baptized. And that's when you can go into ministry. So you've got to keep the Holy Spirit in you talking. You just keep talking with God. Speak in tongues. The the word of God is complete and tells you everything. And you need to keep coming back to it to continue to build yourself up so that your faith goes up so that when you see them pushing a new drug, you don't fall for the hype of it all. You because you would already be healed. you'd be in the presence of God going, "Man, you know, I'm not sick. I have been." And you know what? I'm going to tell you this much. If you got symptoms of whatever it is, and you you haven't been healed of that yet, I promise you that if you're a believer in Christ and you're spending time with the Lord and you just haven't been healed of that yet, and I'm a walking testimony of this, I promise you that if you would, he will take you all the way to the end of your days, old life, all the way to the end of days with that same thing. It will not go any further than where where you're at. Now, you can reverse it once you believe, but you got to believe. All things are possible when you believe according to Jesus. So, let's look at this belief. How do we believe? It becomes it's a trust issue. Now, look at Ephesians 1:12 and 13. That we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of his glory. In him you also trusted after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. In whom also having believed, look at that. Having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. Once you became a believer in Christ, you confess Jesus. You said, Jesus, you know, I'm sorry I messed up. You took a leap of faith. And that is trust. And because you did that, you're aware. See, inside each of us, there is a knowing that we know that there is God and he exists. He's right here with us. And we may deny it. We may want to rebuke it. We may want to walk away from it. But the reality is it's there and it's truth. It's a faith though, a trust that you have to build into so that you can take your level of unbelief to belief to take your eyes off of, oh, well, you know, those those people that ridiculed Jesus, we knew. No one comes back from the dead. They should have known. They should have seen what happened when those bones were laid on Elisha. It was a story of old. Obviously, they hadn't seen it in their lifetime. And obviously, they hadn't heard that story or they didn't believe that story. One of the two. And they ridiculed him. They didn't even want to give him a chance. They were just like, "We know what's right. We know no one comes back from the dead. We know. Do you really? Do you really know everything? You're not God. Humble yourselves. Realize that. Hey, am I putting my limitations on God and what he can do? Yes. When you think you know something, you're limiting God and his capabilities. God created the heavens and the earth. And because he did that, he can do anything. If he wants me to turn blue, he can make me blue. He wants me to not breathe ever again but keep me alive. He can do that because he's the creator, the almighty powerful one. Now, does he do that? No. Uh but he could if he wanted to. Which means if he wants to bring somebody back from the dead, you better believe it he can. Especially when he's made his promises to say that you the believer who trust and walk in faith and spend time with me and have a relationship with me and you are righteous in me then you will live a long life. He has promised that that is in his scriptures homework. Go check it out. Go check it out. Look at what faith is. Hebrews 11 1-3. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. You see, you hear testimonies, and if you're not hearing testimonies, your faith isn't moving. You see, you've got to hear the testimonies. You got to go out and look and find them. Yes, you need to go search. Go find them. There are testimonies. If you're gathering around in your Bible studies at your church or you're going to your church, churches are starting to share the testimonies because they're realizing how powerful it is. It's got to take the level of belief from here to here. Why? We have a generation right now that remember they took the Bibles out of school, they took prayer out of school. These kids do not know God. So in order to get them back to God, they got to hear the testimonies and they're going to be like, "Really? Really?" Nah. But they hear it. It starts the act to activate the faith in them. By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God. Didn't I just say that God is the creator of heaven and earth? And because he created that, like I said, if he wanted me to live without breathing, he can make me live without breathing. That is God. And because he, the word of God framed it and put that in context for me, it helps me take my level of belief from here to here. Meaning that if I'm dealing with some kind of sickness, just because I can't get rid of it at that moment, doesn't mean it's going to be prosperous. It doesn't mean it's going to be fruitful. It doesn't mean it's going to hold me back because God is in control. And if he wants me to continue living, he wants me and he does, then I will continue on moving on until he's ready to take me home. When I'm ready to finally be done with that sickness and disease, then God is right there with me and he will hold my hand and he will walk me through it. And I'm telling you, I'm a walking testimony personally in that area. framed by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. So faith is something you can't see. So the moment you start talking to God, guess what? You can't see him. Look at this. I want you to see something because Romans describes this perfectly that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, this is Romans 10:9 and 10. And believe in your heart. So confess with your mouth. So the moment you speak at Lord Jesus, you see every sickness that you're dealing with, you say Jesus, you are Lord over cancer. Jesus, you are Lord over asthma. Jesus, you are Lord over allergies. Whatever it is that you're dealing with, the moment you confess, Jesus is Lord. Same thing with your salvation. You said, "Jesus, I'm sorry I messed up." You said, "Jesus, I'm sorry." Go back to the thief on the cross. Jesus saved that man just from acknowledging his guilt and saying to Jesus, "Remember me." He talked to Jesus and Jesus saved him. So your eternity is saved. The moment you say, "Jesus, I'm sorry." Now, when you say, "Jesus, I declare Jesus over whatever sickness it is." Look what he says. And believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead. Well, how do you believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead? Jesus, I know you're there. I can't see you. You see, that's your act of faith. And the moment you are acting that faith, you're believing in Jesus that you can't see, but you know that God raised him from the dead because he's not dead. You see the level of belief now goes from here to here is building. Look what he says. Raise him from the dead, you will be saved. Another word for saved is delivered. You will be out of that sit. You're free. The moment you believe that Jesus is alive. He came out of the grave. You are free. You no longer have to live in bondage. The devil tells you otherwise, but you don't have to live in bondage. You're not even sick anymore. You just don't know it here yet. Mind over matter. I've done teachings on this. Go back to my old teachings. But look what he also says because he goes further and and and explains it more. For with the heart one believes into righteousness. You see all of a sudden now when Jesus forgives you, you're righteous. Jesus says you're righteous. Means you have the blessing of long life. Meaning sickness can't touch you. Isn't that amazing? And you and you just got to believe it. But the moment you talk, you're you're automatically believing it. You just haven't manifested it yet. You can look what the next part says. I'm with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation or deliverance. Because the moment you speak, so the every time, you know what? Every time you say, "Jesus, you are Lord over this bum knee." No, Lord, I'm not going to call it a bum knee anymore. Jesus, you are Lord over this knee, and it is perfect. And you keep saying it over and over over my neck, over my shoulder. You say the name of Jesus. You know what? I had dealt with depression 30 plus years ago. And that was what I was doing. I once I realized I had to ask the Lord, what what's going on with me here? And he showed me. And once I got that realization, I shut that door. I said, "No, no, no. Depressing depression be gone." And I said, "In the name of Jesus, you will not be of in this life, in this body. I will not deal with depression because I am not a depressed individual. And people think I'm animated and excited and always smiling. Why? Because I took that evening and I went after it with the name of Jesus. And yet I did it over and over and over again. I went to bed even thinking it sleeping going into my sleep that night like that. I woke up the next morning. I'm going to tell you, man. I w I that that depression was gone there. You feel the difference. Anyone who's dealt with depression knows what I'm talking about. Big difference. You feel light. You You feel free. Now, I felt like I had been in a punching match. You know, my body had been hit all over the place, but I wasn't depressed anymore. And I never been since. Tries to creep in every once in a while, but I recognize it. And I say, "Nope, I already kicked your butt. Get out of here." And it leaves. It has to because I've dominated and I overcame. Because I'm more than a conqueror. I'm an overcomer. and I did that. You are an overcomer. Jesus has given you these blessings. Why? Because you're spending time with him. You put him first. Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you. You get to have all these. So, first, if you're not spending time with the Lord, which I've been preaching on, so I'm assuming if you're watching this video, you're spending time with the Lord. If not, get into it and start your routine. And then here's the best part of it. Cuz you're doing that and the Lord changes you. By the way, you your mentality changes in your relationship with him. You have a boldness and a confidence where you can go to him and say, "Uh, this shouldn't be bothering me. Why is it happening, Lord?" And you name you say, "I'm putting the Lord Jesus over this and I'm casting it out and giving it to you, Lord." And I promise you, you will see God move in your life and your level of belief will go from here to here. And it is amazing. So yes, if the Holy Spirit convicted me, if I'm in a situation where I see somebody dying prematurely for whatever reason, I'm gonna grab him and say, "Stand up in the name of Jesus." That is the authority that you have as a believer and you need to get your level of belief from here to here. Notice what that father of that child that was demonposses Previous Next Home
- THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR To help believers recognize and trust in the divine attributes of God as revealed in Psalm 145:17–18—His righteousness, His graciousness, and His nearness—so that they may walk in faith, honor His ways, and call upon Him in truth with confidence. THE LORD IS RIGHTEOUS, GRACIOUS, AND NEAR Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To help believers recognize and trust in the divine attributes of God as revealed in Psalm 145:17–18—His righteousness, His graciousness, and His nearness—so that they may walk in faith, honor His ways, and call upon Him in truth with confidence. Synopsis: In this teaching, Pastor Marcos Marrero reflects on Psalm 145, where King David extols God as his personal King and declares three powerful truths about His rule: the Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works, and near to all who call upon Him in truth. David’s testimony carries great weight as a king who understood the challenges of leadership and decision-making. Unlike earthly rulers, God is perfect in judgment, never erring in His dealings with His creation. This truth strengthens faith, for doubt undermines our ability to receive God’s promises. Through meditating on God’s works, believers learn to trust His righteousness even when His ways are beyond human understanding. David also proclaims that God is gracious in all His works. Unlike flawed human kings, God’s actions are rooted in compassion, mercy, and grace—demonstrated most fully in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to satisfy divine justice. His mercy ensures that humanity can partake in His blessings despite imperfection. Finally, David emphasizes that God is near to all who call upon Him sincerely. Unlike human leaders who are often inaccessible, the Lord is intimately present with His people, upholding the weak, lifting the humble, and hearing the cries of the faithful. Pastor Marcos illustrates this truth with a personal testimony of God’s guidance, showing how the Lord’s plans are always perfect, even when they seem unclear at first. The psalm concludes with a call to unending praise, as all creation and all saints will ultimately acknowledge God’s greatness, righteousness, and mercy. Pastor Marcos urges believers to walk in faith, call upon God in truth, and rest assured that He is always near. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 145:17-18 “The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.” King David begins Psalm 145 with a shout of praise to God. It is interesting that David addresses Him as my God, O King; let’s take a look at how David begins this Psalm of adoration. Psalm 145:1 “I will extol (praise) You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.” It takes a king to understand the difficulties of fairly and justly ruling over a kingdom. This Psalm can be read from the perspective of a testimonial that David, as a human king who understood the difficulties of ruling and reigning over flawed humans, bestowed upon our God the Creator, who is also the Great ruling King over all mankind. In our opening text, David makes three key points that underline the qualities with which God rules as King over His creation. First David says of God’s rule: The Lord is righteous in all His ways. Coming from any of us, that statement would not carry as much weight as it does coming from an earthly king who ruled over God’s people for forty years. If you have ever been in a position of leadership, you know how difficult it is to make decisions that affect a group of people and really say to yourself that such decision would be accepted as the perfect choice by everyone involved. As any true leader will tell you, you can’t please everyone, as I’m sure David knew that very well, but yet He says of God our King, that He is righteous in all His ways. Why is this fact so important, that God’s rule is always perfect? Doubt is the opposite of faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God, so that if we are doubting the righteousness of God on any situation that we face, we put ourselves at a disadvantage, and by doing so we forfeit the blessings that are offered to us within His kingdom. Psalm 145:5 “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on (the words of) Your wondrous works.” Meditating is the process of slowly ingesting and digesting information, in David’s case he was meditating not only on what God had promised him, but also in what God had already accomplished in his life as well. In the early struggles of my walk by faith journey, I remember at times feeling abandoned by the Lord just because certain things did not work out the way that I expected them to work out, and I remember the words of encouragement that Jesus would always send my way, I did not bring you out this far just to let you go! Psalm 145:19 “He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.” I soon realized that in our walk of faith we have to learn how to walk in what the Bible calls the fear of the Lord before He will hear our cry for help, in other words we have to learn how to respect the way that His kingdom operates, which is by faith. Oh, the innocence of those times! One of my first lessons in hearing from the Lord occurred as I was driving from the Orange County area in California where I lived at the time, to the San Fernando Valley area to get pay from my labor as a painting contractor, for that was where the office was located that I had done the work for. Immediately as I started driving towards the office I felt the Lord impressing on me that I was to go someplace and pray after I left the office, so when I picked up the check I said to the Lord, where do you want me to go and pray Lord? Of course I heard nothing back, but since I was sure He had spoken to me earlier, I proceeded through a mountain road down to the coast where the Malibu area is located, for I figured that the mountain or the beach would be a good place to stop and pray. I still felt nothing, so I continued down the coast to the South Bay area of Los Angeles hoping to hear from the Lord as to where I was supposed to stop and pray, about two hours had elapsed and nothing, the church that we attended was in the port area of Los Angeles so I thought that God wanted me to go to the church and pray there, so that was where I headed, when I got over there, the Christian school was having an event in the auditorium, so praying there was out of the question. As I walked through the parking lot to get in my car and finally drive home, someone flagged me down, a church member and his wife had just gotten real bad news and asked me if I would pray with them over the situation that they were facing. I told them of my ordeal just to find out where I was supposed to go and pray, and it encouraged them so much that God had sent someone to pray for them before they even got the bad news, that their faith was made strong enough to overcome their situation. I realized there and then that God always has a perfect plan for everything that He does, and that all that is required of us is to remain faithful, for if we do not give up, we will not only have the victory over whatever situation we are facing, but in time we will understand how perfect and marvelous God’s ways are. Psalm 145:6 “Men shall speak (as I just did) of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness.” I learned then, and continue to learn now, that the Lord is righteous in all His ways, whether I understand them or not, after all it is said and done the fact that the Lord is righteous in all His ways will be revealed to all the saints and will be acknowledged by them. Psalm 145:10 “All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your saints shall bless You.” Secondly, David said about God’s rule that the Lord is: Gracious in all His works! Psalm 97:2 “Clouds and darkness surrounds Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.” All the works of God are perfect, and since we forfeited our perfection when Adam sinned, the justice of God has to be satisfied, that is why Jesus had to die on the cross for our sins, to satisfy the righteous demands of justice. So that all of the works of God on behalf of mankind are all founded on His grace, as David also acknowledged. Psalm 145:8-9 “The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.” In Bible days a king ruled supreme, the words that came out of his mouth were the law, anyone who trespassed against the king’s edicts faced sure death unless the king pardoned their transgression by offering them his mercy. David understood the principles of mercy, because from his ruling position he also understood that the righteousness of God required perfection, something that no human had, that is also why the Messiah had to be all human and all perfect. Thirdly, David said about God’s rule that: The Lord is near to all who call on Him! Imagine that, in the natural, the more responsibility that a person in leadership has the more difficult it is for people to get near them, for their time becomes that much more valuable, so that we usually have to deal with the underlings of those who exercise great authority, but not so with our King, He can meet alone with everyone of His subjects at the same time and in different places, because our King is also God. Psalm 145:13 “Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.” And unlike our present world system where the lower that we are in the societal spectrum, the more difficult it is for us to reach those who are in authority, with our Eternal King is the opposite. Psalm 145:14 “The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down.” No wonder David was praising God with such great exuberance, for what he is saying in this Psalm is that there is no god like our God. Psalm 145:3 “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable (beyond our understanding).” So that it is always by faith; our righteousness comes by faith in His Word, our dealings with Him are always based on our faith of His gracious works toward us, and by faith we know that He is always near to us, for we know that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And that’s the truth, so let us call upon Him in truth, for He hears us. Previous Next Home
- THE HOPE OF GLORY | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE HOPE OF GLORY The purpose of this message is to reveal the true meaning of the “hope of glory” found in Christ, showing believers that they are created in the image of God, called into His glory, and given the inheritance of His presence. It aims to help the body of Christ understand their identity in Him, recognize the contrast with unbelief and sin, and embrace the hope that will be fulfilled when we see Him face to face. < Back THE HOPE OF GLORY Minister Lisa Kane June 25, 2023 Objective: The purpose of this message is to reveal the true meaning of the “hope of glory” found in Christ, showing believers that they are created in the image of God, called into His glory, and given the inheritance of His presence. It aims to help the body of Christ understand their identity in Him, recognize the contrast with unbelief and sin, and embrace the hope that will be fulfilled when we see Him face to face. Synopsis: In “The Hope of Glory”, Lisa teaches from Genesis 1:27 and Colossians 1:27, showing that mankind was created in the image of God and that Christ living in us is the true hope of glory. She explains that in the last days, God is dealing with three groups: Israel, the Bride of Christ, and unbelievers. While unbelievers embrace pride and sinful identities, the Church must hold fast to their identity in Christ, knowing they reflect the image of God. Drawing from the example of Moses’ encounter with God in Exodus 33, Lisa illustrates that although no man can see God’s face and live, His glory still passes before His children, surrounding them with His presence. She emphasizes that glory is not abstract but a real, substantial manifestation of God’s power and love. Believers are reminded that the “hope of glory” is the assurance of seeing Christ in eternity, but also the present reality of God’s glory resting upon those who walk in Him. Through repentance, humility, and relationship with God, we gain peace, access to His grace, and the inheritance of His promises. Lisa warns that unbelievers who reject Christ remain under sin, but stresses God’s unfailing love and His desire that all repent. Using scripture from Romans, Ephesians, Psalms, and Revelation, she demonstrates that glory is both God’s covering and His inheritance for His children. The message closes with a call to repentance, intimacy with God, and steadfast faith, so that when others look at us, they see the image and glory of God reflected in our lives. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Sunday, June 25th, 2023. Welcome. This message is called the hope of glory. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for your blessings. We thank you for your glory. We thank you for your presence. We thank you for being with us. Lord, you are mighty. You are amazing. You are always with us and you love us. Thank you, Father God, for you truly are great. You are my God, my King, my Lord, and my Savior. I belong to you and you belong to me. Thank you, Father God, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. Uh just a couple of updates. We are now in Missouri, so I apologize that it's taken me, I think, three weeks to get a message together. When we first got out here, the rental that I'm in right now, it wasn't ready when we got here. So, we've been in an Airbnb. Kind of treated it like a mini vacation that the Lord gave us. So, very, very nice to have that. And uh we got to relax a little bit. We are now here and this is temporary for 6 months. Uh they're building our home. So, once we have that built, I think we'll be moving in sometime around Christmas, give or take. So, we're looking forward to that. But in the meantime, here I am. So, it's a different background. We'll work with this and and maybe I'll modify it over as the days go by because I'm still unpacking and still looking for things. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here. The hope of glory. Amen. Genesis 1:27. So God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him. Male and female he created them. Okay. So, what I have taught on in the past here is that there are three groups of people that the Lord is dealing with in the end times, which is our generation. This is where we're at right now. So, you have um the nation of Israel that he's dealing with. You have the the uh bride of Christ, which is who we are. Anyone who says Jesus is the son of God is the bride of Christ. And then last, but certainly not least, is the unbeliever. So, here we are in the month of June, and what is the unbeliever celebrating right now? They are celebrating Pride Month, which we all know scripturally pride goes before the fall. So, we are at the precipice. We're about to fall. Uh, in case you are not following the Lord, you're not following scripture. It may be a shock to you if you're hearing this for the first time, but yes, we're about to fall. Now, we can pray and we can intercede and do what we can, but remember God has an agenda and his agenda is to get to the end times here. So, we all know that revelation is coming and we know that all of the steps are there and have been laid down. The foundation is there. So, this can go pretty much at any time. And there's a series of events that we're watching, you know, like Russia right now and this uh coup um mutiny that tried to take place. So there's a lot of things going on. So be attentive, be watchful as Jesus tells us. So this opening scripture, God created created us in his image. So the hope of glory has to do with who we are with Christ. So looking at the unbeliever right now, what do we see? They're celebrating Pride Month, which is, you know, homosexuality, lesbian type of things. So, these are um sin that God has declared a sin simply because they're not fruitful. So, they're identifying as what the opposite of what God has created them to be. They're they're, you know, kind of saying, you know what, I yeah, I was born a man, but nope, I'm not a man. I'm a woman. And this is the type of thing that they are celebrating. So the identity is the doors are open right now. And you can go read Jonathan Khan's book, Return of the Gods, or go watch any of his videos that he speaks about in the um spiritual aspect of what we're dealing with right now. That I support that 100% because this is exactly what we're dealing with. This had to happen though for the return of the Lord. So keep that in mind. So you've got this uh generation now that is standing up for death because see man on man cannot produce children. Now if they think they can produce children in a test tube environment and they think okay well life will go on so we can live in the sin that we want. Well that's not the way it is. So let's talk about the image of God because see that is what the enemy is attacking each person in. They are attacking the individual's identity. They don't know who they are. So they're they're being influenced. Which by the way, spiritual gods and goddesses, these fallen angels, demonic activity are influencers. They influence people uh to be attractive towards sin. Make it very because see they they claim it's love, but it's lust. love. You see, people um in a heterosexual um marriage still get divorced. Okay? Well, people in um man-on-m marriage or woman onwoman marriage also are getting divorced. So, what is the issue? It isn't that it's love. It's the heart of the individual and the identity of this individual. So, let's talk about the identity. So when God made us in his image, there was something that was very interesting that we need to think about here for a moment. And as a believer in Christ, we need to open our eyes up a little bit more to this. And this is neat revelation. My dad was sharing a bit of this with me um when we were at the Airbnb that we had to stay at for almost a week uh while we waited for this rental to get ready. But uh he was sharing the image of God in Adam and some teaching on this and I guess he taught this in Spanish. I don't know where it is and what the title the message is. So I'm building on that using that and going to be teaching on it and of course I don't have it the full way that he does. But here's what I do know. When Adam was created, he wasn't born. and he was created and he was created in God's image. What did Adam see when he looked at God? It's a good question. Did he see himself? You have to wonder about this because if we're made in his image, and I'm not saying that I'm God. Not saying that at all. But I am saying that there is a part of me that resembles God because in his image we resemble God. So he's a being, a man that has two legs, two arms, two eyes, hair, and he's spirit. Uh so you know, you got to sit here and you got to think about this and look at this wondering, you know, what did Adam see? Especially, you know, if he looked at himself in the reflection of a spring or a pond in that garden of Eden, I know rivers ran through there. Did he see himself or did he see God? Because see, God and Adam had a special bonding relationship which this is all before sin had came into existence. Adam and God had this beautiful relationship. That is love. By the way, love is Jesus Christ going to the cross and dying for you. Here's the interesting part. There are some people in this world who would die for their partner. But it's 98% certain that that partner would not reciprocate. So this is why it's not love, it's lust. So now what I want to do is I want to take you to that image and I want to take you to the relationship of God so that you can see what Paul was talking about when he talked about the hope of glory. So now let's go to Moses and see what relationship he had with God because his relationship also was to the point of let me see you. Let's go Exodus 33:18-23. And he said please show me your glory. Now the conversation that God and Moses has just been h handling or that they just had you know here's Moses talking about with God. Okay. Well, you did all this. Who are you? And and he's asking because see, when you become a believer in Christ, you one of the things that we shared while we were waiting in this Airbnb as we were just chatting there one evening sitting out on the front porch getting eaten by mosquitoes. Uh one of the things that we were all talking about was how the Lord spoke to us. It was interesting. It we all had similar stories. We had a question in our mind and we all wondered whether we should go ask somebody or or go look it up and figure out but we couldn't figure it out on our own. And eventually we kind of asked God, what is this? What did you mean about this? And here Moses is asking God, who are you? Show me your glory. We're going to get into the scripture. And as we were all sharing our little testimonies here about what that was. Within the next day, we had either turned on the radio, a preacher was teaching what we just questioned or we opened up the Bible and there's the answer we just questioned. Going to show how God was listening and that he is real and he's answering our questions. So here this this affected all of us in this point where we had this relationship with God that just transformed us in such a way that now that we had that experience we can't go back. We keep going forward. We go to God now. Amen. So let's read what Moses did because he just asked show me please show me your glory. So God says, then he says, "I will make all my goodness pass before you." Isn't that awesome? God is answering Moses because this is what God wants to do. But there there's a cautionary thing going on here. Watch this. I will make all my goodness pass before you and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But he said, "You cannot see my face, for no man shall see me and live." And the Lord said, "Here is a place by me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be while my glory passes by that I will put you in the cliff of the rock and will cover you with my hand while I pass by. Then I will make then I will take away my hand and you shall see my back but my face shall not be seen. We're in sin. So our flesh cannot be in the presence of God. We cannot um see the face of God. But we know him. It's like our testimonies. We were able to ask a question. We were able to receive the answer. And we were able to go forward with that answer knowing God is real. Now here Moses had this special beautiful moment with God in which God says I will show you. I will pass all my goodness in front of you and I will declare the name of the Lord to you. This is what God did for Moses. Now let's stop for a minute and let's go back to the image of God. Now, what is an image? Have you ever looked in a mirror and saw yourself and saw something as a mirror image of yourself, a reflection? I, you know, in we're in a a duplex right now. My family is, my parents are in one of the houses and we share a wall and I'm in this, but the two homes are mirror images, but they're opposite. Kitchen's on the opposite of the house, bedrooms are on the opposite house. So imagine when God created Adam in his image, we were mirror image of God. So God sees himself in us which is his glory because we are his offspring. So now go to the reverse of that. When you see God, remember, you can't see him with your eyes. You can't see his face, but you know, you know that he's there and he's answering your questions. What do you see? You know, you have a knowledge that cannot be stopped or defeated by anyone. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. This is a mystery. This is a mystery. Look what Paul says. Colossians 1:27, "To them God w to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." What's hope? You see, even though I can't see his face and I now know he's there, I'm hoping and I know and I know and I know that when I get to heaven, I will see his face and the what I look like, I'm going to see that in him because the resemblance is there. He loved me so much that he made me a part of him and what he looks like. That my friend is the hope of glory. Oh hallelujah. Hallelujah Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And you know you will know this as you spend time with the Lord. I've been teaching on this for years now. Get into the secret place with the Lord. Get into the secret place with the Lord. Get into that relationship with the Lord. Start talking with him. You know, it it makes a huge difference when you have that talk with him. You know, because yeah, you get angry. There are things you don't understand. I get it. He gets it. So what you do is you just say, "Lord, I don't understand why is homosexuality a sin. Why when we need to love them?" Well, we do love them because Jesus said in John 3:16, "For God, him so loved the world." By the way, every person is made in his image. They're all a part of him, but they live in sin. Sin is what drove us away from him. But he's still there. But notice how he had to protect Moses by putting his hand over him so he wouldn't kill him. Well, then there you go. Now we are in a situation where God has to put a barrier over us. And there must have been some sort of barrier there to begin with because if Adam was flesh, even though he hadn't sinned, maybe the flesh was different during that time. I don't know. Well, I'm not an expert in that area, but I do know that God kept Adam safe. And when Adam sinned and he went, he still came and helped Adam and Eve as they established mankind. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Go on. Romans 5:1 and2. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. I want to stop there for just a moment. The hope of glory. Hope is seeing something that you cannot see physically yet. It's a hope. You hope someone would do the dishes. You hope someone would do the laundry. You hope that someone would be righteous enough to come lead this world. You know, there's a hope. You can't see it, but you're hoping for it. Well, faith is acting on that hope. Okay. Now that I'm hoping because I know that I have faith that I will be in the presence of God and that I will see his face. Maybe not in this flesh, but I will see him in eternity. Look what I get to have. Says we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. So even though I know that God is punishing those in sin, God is righteous. So he's going to punish those that refuse him. You know, I know a lot of people can't understand that. Oh, he's a loving, righteous, mighty God. Well, he is righteous. He is loving. But if you reject him, what else do you expect him to do? You know, sometimes you have to come to the realization that you're like this and he's like that. He's the creator. We're the created. And when you come into that humility, now you get to have this peace. So, even though he's punishing the world, like we're about to hit, we've had this beautiful cool weather in Southern California, Lake Elsar, and uh I'm now in Missouri and uh oh boy, we are hitting the 90s and going to hit the hundreds here very shortly and with some high humidity. Well, you know what I'm going to start doing? Because if I had a breakthrough in Southern California, we're going to have a breakthrough here. I've already started praying and I'm getting in here because we can have a breakthrough in the weather just like he did in Southern California. If he can do it there, he can do it here. So, we're definitely going to be praying and I welcome me, you know, or join me in uh getting uh prayer for your area, for your weather, because if you notice, things are getting worse, hotter, and hotter. It's a punishment for the land. But now, even though I know that punishment's going on, he comforts me. He provides what I need to remain cool. So those that reject him, they don't get that comfort. They don't get that. There is there is a distinction. So, you know, I beg you, you know, get humble before the Lord and talk with him. Find out who he is and have a relationship with him. Talk with him. Read his word. You know what? Again, I can't teach that enough. I've been teaching him for like three years now. Let's continue on in the scripture. We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Verse two, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. You know what is glory? When we use the word glory like in our current language, especially English language, we look at glory as, oh, uh, that person's earned it. He's done something so good. I give him the glory or the praise. Look at him. He did really good. He earned it. He He did what he was supposed to do. Well, that is God. And God has glory around him. But it is a physical thing. Let's continue on in scripture because I want to show you the glory in the temple here in just a moment. Ephesians 1:17 through18 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the the father of glory we or the father of glory may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. You see in that relationship that peace that he gives you you have a knowledge. Earlier I said I know that I know that I know that he's real. Not because I've seen him with my eyes, but because I've seen him move to answer the questions I've asked and I've gone to him. And when you do that, he answers. He's just waiting for you to come to him. And you're thinking, well, why doesn't he come to me? Why don't you repent, humble yourself, and then go to him, then he will come to you. He doesn't mix with sin. He has glory that around that surrounds him. That glory does not mix with sin. So you have to repent to remove the sin so you can come into his presence. That's how this works. Hallelujah. Verse 18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know that that you may know what is the hope of his calling. What are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints? You see, you have an inheritance in him because you're his image. You are a child of the son of God. And because you are a child, you have the right to everything that he has and he wants to give it to you. Go back to the temple when the first temple of Solomon was built. He I don't have the scriptures here. You again, this is some homework for you. I'm trying to teach you how to get in the word of God and look this up. Get into the temple and go look go to uh Solomon. You can see that he built the first temple and the glory was so powerful that nobody could enter. Not even the priest. That was the glory of God inhabiting that temple. Well, the temple was destroyed and Israel went into captivity and it was rebuilt 70 years later. So, the children that saw the initial glory who now are seeing the second temple built wept. They sobbed because it was nothing compared to that first temple because it was substantial. The glory was physical. It was substantial. So when you hope for the glory, it needs to be a f physical substantial thing that comes out of you and surrounds you because you put God first in your life because you know that you know that you know that he is real and that you live for him and you choose to live for him. That is God. You are a child of the most high and have the right to the inheritance that he provides. Psalm 33. But you, oh Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. You see, let me give you a dose of reality. People out here that don't believe in God, they're walking dead. They're the walking dead. They're dead. They have no life in them. They deal with things that they can't shouldn't if they just simply repent. But go to Revelation. Read Revelation. What do these people do during that seven-year tribulation period? They start getting angrier and angrier with God. They don't repent. It's It's as if they want God to bless them for hating him. Who would ever do that? Who would ever I mean, if somebody's abusing you, you don't ask, you don't bless them for abusing you. That that that's wrong. But see that spirit of delusion that that it's a spiritual matter and you can't see, you can't hear, and you're having to deal with this. All you have to do though is repent. Jesus, I'm sorry. I messed up and I'm asking you to forgive me. Look at the guy on the cross with Jesus. He defended Jesus first because the other thief on the cross was blaspheing Jesus, kicking the man while he was down, hanging. Both of them were hanging on the cross. All three of them were. And he's still kicking him while he's down. And the other thief says, "What are you doing? Stop it. This guy's innocent. We're guilty." And because he acknowledged that he's guilty. He said to Jesus, "Remember me when you enter your kingdom." And Jesus says, "I promise you tonight we will be in paradise together." And that's Jesus forgive. He will forgive you of anything. And if you're one of those people who, well, I heard in the Bible that there is an unforgivable sin and that has to be me. No. Listen, an unforgivable sin just means when you die, that's it. Too late. So, in today's life, you need to repent. You need to be talking to God and you need to be saying, "Okay, Lord, I'm sorry. I messed up." Do it now. Do it while you still can. Because you know what? Repentance has an expiration date. When we enter into the seven-year tribulation period, which is coming up very quickly here, by the way, the body of Christ will not be there for it. So, the body of Christ will be removed. You as a repentter are part of the body of Christ. Repent. Now, if you choose to not call Jesus the son of God, that is on you and you have an issue. Jesus Christ is the son of God. Let go of whatever is holding you from saying that. Say it. Say it out loud. Jesus, you are the son of God. Today, you know, I wasn't sure I was going to teach a message today. I've got a cold sore in my lip. I've got bug bites all over me. Uh I was running a fever last night. Been sick as you can kind of hear a little bit of it. And uh fever broke in the middle of the night. Thank you, Jesus. Uh, you know, see, I'm I'm a believer, but I still deal with sickness. I still deal with things that are going on in this world. Well, Jesus, hallelujah. I just said, "Lord Jesus, I'm blessed." And do you know that after I said that, because at first I was very achy and sore when I got up this morning, and I thought, man, I can't move. I have an art. My lower back was really killing me. And then as soon as I said that, wow, I got up, got moved. I put some headphones on. I put some Christian music on. I let it refresh my soul and my spirit. And look, here I am teaching the word of God. Cuz see, this doesn't matter. I don't care what I look like. I don't You know what? I'm a child of the Most High and I'm in his image. And we're going to have good days and we're going to have bad days. But I just simply say the Lord bless me and he does. That is the hope of glory. Seeing that I can go to him in spite of whatever's going on in this world and I can let it go. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Look at Psalm eight. See, this is what I'm talking about. This is how God thinks of us. Psalm 83-5. When I consider your heavens, this is the author of the writer of Psalm. The work of your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have ordained. He's talking to God. What is man that you are mindful of him and the son of man that you visit him. I mean, what are we? We are sinful creatures, but we're made in his image. We are his children and because of that we have the hope of glory and he thinks of us all the time mindful he's always he's so mindful he know he knows how much hair I have on my body and the son of man that you visit him verse five for you have made him a little lower than the angels and you have crowned him with glory Glory and honor. You see the hope of glory is the moment you say Lord Jesus you are the son of God and his glory surrounds you. And now when people see you they see God. They see the image of God in you because you're made in his image and you are a child of the most high and you have a hope that that glory can come out. All it takes is Lord Jesus I'm sorry you are the son of God. Look what John has to say about it. 1 John 3:1, "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us." By the way, that's love. Because God knows because it's prophesied in Revelation that they're still going to reject him no matter what. And yet, he still made them in his image. He still loved them, knowing full well they would reject him. That's love, my friend. Not lust. Love uh has bestowed that we should be called Let's Let's read this verse again from the beginning. Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God. Therefore, the world does not know us, but it did not know him because it did not know him. Therefore, the world does not know us because it did not know him. You see, John is clearly identifying a distinguished uh line here between a believer and an unbeliever. For us who believe, we hope and we have that hope in the glory. But as an unbeliever, look at because it did not know him. They don't know him. As I shared earlier our testimony, if each individual, my family had an experience with God that we were able to question something and have that answer given to us. I mean, in a very relative short amount of time. Imagine now we know him and because we know him, we experience his love and his favor which places his glory around us. That is God. That is the hope of glory that I get to stand in, live in, and walk with in the name of Jesus. Oh, because he made me in his image so that when people look at me, they see his glory. Oh, hallelujah. Please put God first in your life. Please repent. Put him first. Speak with him and give him the glory. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for the hope of your glory. We thank you for creating us in your image. We thank you for letting us be your children, that we have an inheritance. And Lord, I'm grateful that I chose you, not the world. And I pray that others choose you as well. And repent and give you the glory, honor, praise, and strength. Thank you, Father God. Jesus name. Amen. Well, I forgot my box of tissues, so I got to get off. I had to go get it. God bless you. I love you. Repent. Spend time with the Lord. Spend time in the word of God. And uh I should be getting more messages out to you uh in a relatively quicker time than before. I currently don't have a job, so I'll be doing this a lot more, giving God the glory. I love you. I'll see you in the next message. Bye. Previous Next Home

The goal is to encourage Christians to live in obedience, walk in the Spirit, and build on the foundation of Jesus with works that endure, producing spiritual fruit and eternal reward. Synopsis: This message opens with prayer and then moves into a study of 1 Corinthians 3:8–15, where Paul explains that all believers share the same foundation in Jesus Christ, but their works—whether valuable (gold, silver, precious stones) or invaluable (wood, hay, stubble)—will be revealed by fire on judgment day. Pastor Lisa stresses that salvation is secure by grace, not lost by failures, but the quality of each believer’s life and obedience determines eternal reward. The teaching explores how different types of believers respond to the Word of God, drawing from the parable of the sower (Matthew 13:18–23): some never grasp it, others receive with joy but fall away under pressure, some are choked by worldliness and riches, while others bear fruit abundantly. These responses illustrate the difference between fruitless and fruitful Christian living. Practical application is given through Colossians 3:23–25 and John 14:12, highlighting that true valuable works are those done “from the Spirit unto the Lord,” not for men’s approval. Examples include praying for leaders rather than condemning them, walking in forgiveness, and seeking God diligently—each act counted as valuable before Him, regardless of outward results. The message warns against judging others harshly, reminding believers that Romans 14 teaches all will stand before Christ’s judgment seat. Instead, Christians are urged to live in humility, obedience, and faith, allowing the Spirit to guide their works so that they produce lasting fruit. Valuable works flow from relationship with God, trust in His sovereignty, and obedience to His Word, while invaluable works—though done in the flesh—will be consumed by fire. The teaching closes with encouragement: whether one stumbles or walks faithfully, salvation remains secure in Christ (Romans 10:9). Yet the call is to build wisely on the foundation of Jesus, storing up eternal treasures that will endure, so that each believer may enter eternity not empty-handed but richly rewarded. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane and I'm recording this message on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Welcome. This message is called Valuable and Invaluable Works. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for the anointing of your presence in our hearts and minds. And we thank you for your prepare preparation of our hearts and minds to receive this word. That we are prepared to learn knowledge today of who you are and what you are and what you're doing in our lives. And that we actually have a goal to look forward to, Father God. And that we operate and practice on that goal, Father God, as we run our race. We thank you, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. And amen. Amen. Let's go to our opening scriptures. This is called valuable and invaluable works. 1 Corinthians 3:8. Now he that planteth and he that waterth are one, and every man shall receive or to take his own reward. That word reward there means to pay for service wages according to his own labor. Reminder that when you see the scriptures up on the screen, the bolded word means that it's the original word in the King James version. And the words in the parenthesis are other translations that that word could have been been interpreted as going back to the original language. Uh whether Greek for the New Testament or um yeah different languages there but the Hebrew for the Old Testament and I use the Strongs uh concordance or the dictionary for that. So welcome. I want to uh share something about this message. The goal here is to get your eyes on judgment day. Now, part of this is so that you can understand salvation better because I'm hoping that this is going to break through as a very powerful, knowledgeable tool of what we as the church should be teaching and preaching. We do not teach on the spirit of fear and we should not be teaching that anyone can lose their salvation. You know, you can rebel against God, rebel all you want, but God is [Music] patient, long-suffering, and he will go to hell to get you back out of there if he must. You see, don't limit God for who he is and what he can do. God is who he is, and this is what he's going to do. So as you can see here in in this uh 1 Corinthians 3:8 in the first three chapters here 1 Corinthians Paul is dealing with the Corinthians on the debate of I am of Apollos I am of Paul and you see Paul is saying listen we are all of one spirit which is Christ our Lord Jesus the Messiah. So he's saying in that walk, you may plant and water. You you each have different things that you're going to do and you're going to receive your own reward according to your own labor, whatever that may be. So like in my case, whether anyone ever listens to these messages or not doesn't matter. What matters is that I took the liberty to go and do it, pray to God, give it to the Lord. And and in reality, it's kind of a vlog for me teaching me the scriptures. This is how I teach my spirit. And then I'm letting you watch and observe. It's up to you how you want to uh be in ministry with the Lord. He blesses whether you're in the wilderness or in the city. He blesses as long as you put him first. Matthew 6:33. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and then all these things will be added unto you. So, and remember, salvation is of the Lord. It's not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord. So that means what we're doing is we're letting the spirit go ahead of us and do his part. And we're just wherever we go, we be in the right place to say the right thing, to pray the right thing, um or to know what to pray for, how to pray, that sort of thing, and hope that someone gets saved. Now, keep in mind that there are different levels of people Our people are at different levels of salvation. Some of them will confess once and that's the only time they'll ever do it. Remember the thief on the cross? He was saved and all he did was confess there on the cross and acknowledge Jesus of who he is. So there are going to be people that are going to be like that and they're going to end up in a dire situation. But remember that they will call out when it comes towards the end there. and the Holy Spirit is not going to forget them and he's going to be with them. And then there are others that are going to get saved and they're going to go live their own life, come back to God when they feel like it, go back and live their own life again. You're going to have these different levels of people's salvation. Um or they're going to people are going to be at different levels with their salvation. And there's nothing wrong with that. God knows each every individual that exists. Let's continue with scripture because I want you to see and understand this. 1 Corinthians 3:11-15. So, we're going to be talking about judgment day. It says, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ." So, I want to lay something down here first. Okay. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, you actually laid well, Christ laid the foundation for you. He's the one who died on the cross. He's the one who rose from the grave. It is his it is his blood that has redeemed you. So that means when you accept that that foundation is put under your feet and you stand on him. That is your rock. That is your foundation. So from that moment forward you will be judged. Whether you live for Christ or not you will be judged. Now see salvation is of the Lord. He chooses you. So, it's up to you of what valuable works will be there on the day of judgment that will survive the fire. Let's go to scripture and look at how this fire works. This is very interesting and very important. Verse 12. Now if any man build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble, every man's work shall be made manifest. For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire, and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. We'll continue here in a minute. So meaning that once that foundation is under your feet, because remember he says the foundation of Jesus, everything is laid on that foundation. And remember many be remember your first love and remember the beginning of your life. You could have been one of those who were like a yo-yo. I know this is how I was. I believed in Christ. I grew up in the church. I accepted Christ at six. I was baptized at nine, water baptized at nine. And um as a young woman in the Lord, sometimes I was on fire for God. And then there were other times he was the farthest thing from my mind. Did that mean that I did not have salvation when he was the furthest thing from my mind? No. It meant that his foundation was there, but everything I was doing was invaluable. Nothing of value toward God was being added into my pile. So, had I died at that time, I would have had the times that I was on fire for God, those values would be there and they would be right next to me. But, and they would have survived the fire. What survives fire? Look at what's in the the the values that he's looking at. Gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble. You see, gold, silver, precious stones will melt, but they don't disintegrate. Wood, hay, stubble disintegrates. And it does not, there's nothing left of it. Once it burns, it's done. It's gone. So, this is what I'm trying to explain is that you have a future ahead of you where you're going to face God on judgment day. Let's continue on to verse 14. If any man's work abide, which he hath built there upon, meaning built upon the the foundation of Christ, he shall receive a reward, or you're going to be paid for your services. I love that. The translation of that word reward means to be paid for services, wages. And then if any man's work shall be burned, consumed holy, meaning the wood, the hay, the stubble, and there was nothing left. It was consumed completely. Look at this. It says he shall suffer loss, which means be injured, but he himself shall be saved. Look at this. Delivered, protect, preserved, healed. Yes. So as by fire. You see, you don't lose your salvation. It just means you came into heaven with nothing of value of what you did as works here on the earth when you walked on the foundation of Jesus. I hope you're grasping this because this changes the dynamics of things. You see, I'm not talking about um living for Christ and doing it fakeely. I'm going to give you some examples of what it's like to do something appropriately in the living word of God that becomes valuable and becomes valuable for you. Because see, when you're working out your salvation with the Lord, it is about you and your presence with the Lord, it's not about what the outcome of whether somebody gets saved or not by what you do. It's not by the outcome of whether they believe or not because the Holy Spirit is going to work on them. It is about you and your walk with Christ and whether you're putting valuable works into your life onto the foundation of Christ that will pass the test of fire. Because if you're not putting anything valuable there, let's go look at what Jesus has to say in John 14:12. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth or have faith on me. The works that I do, he shall do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my father. So, he's your foundation. You're supposed to be doing valuable works. Now, God understands your free will. He knows who you are. He knows what kind of person you are. And he has built those personalities into salvation. And he explains it in the parable of the swer. Let's go look at that because I think once you see this and grasp it, we can elaborate further on these values. Amen. These workable value, values of work. Uh we're in Matthew 13:18-23. Hear ye therefore the parable of the swer. When anyone heareth or gives in an audience the word of the kingdom. So this is something said or thought of whether and this is on the kingdom of God. And then you put it together. You understand it. Not look at look at what this is saying. When one hearth the word of the kingdom and understandeth it not. You couldn't put it together. You see somebody's talking to you about salvation but you're not getting it. And if you watch a lot of the videos on social media, you will see some kids questioning things like, "But why? Why is he allowing this evil? Why does it have to be done this way? Why? I think all ways can get to God." You see, watch this. Watch. This is very powerful. Then cometh. So when one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it, not could not put it together, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside. If you're a gardener, you will know that there are some plants and seeds that are very easy to germinate from seed from uh uh starting a seed. You plant a seed, you water it, you know, you do whatever you got to do to make that seed. But there are some that are very very temperamental. Well, this is one of them. These are people um that has that personality. They hear the word of God and they're questioning it and the questions aren't meshing to the level of faith because they're not understanding it. So, they're not receiving. And so, the Satan comes in and quickly snatches them away and gets them out of there. And they feel much better to rebel and to fight um things that they think are right. You know, love is love. You know what I'm talking about there. They think that is right when God is saying out of obedience whether you understand it or not. Yeah, I love you but I don't love your sin and I call that a sin because I tell you to be fruitful and multiply and that sin will not be fruitful and multiply. It's just because you don't understand that yet. That's okay. That's okay. But that means you have to come into obedience. These people don't. So you can see that personality here. They're not going to have any valuable works because they failed to establish the foundation of God in their lives. Let's continue on and look at the next level in the parable of the sewer. Verse 20. But he that received the seed into stony places, stony places is hardhearted. Watch this one. The same is he that heareth the word and anon or straight level with joy receive it. He receives. He's hard-hearted, but he received yet hath he not root in himself, but durth for a while. For when tribulation or pressure, persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by, he is offended, which means scandalized or entrapped. Now, did he not become a believer? No. He received it with joy. The issue is is his personality. His personality did not allow him to drill in the root of looking at the word, finding out who Jesus. Now, there's two parts to that. This person could have done it on his own through the Holy Spirit or the one who led him to the Lord didn't show him that these are things you have to do to uh to make your foundation your foundation in Christ. Sure. But either way, the spirit's involved and the spirit goes forth and this person didn't grab it or didn't sustain it and got caught up in the scandalized and got offended and they accuse the church of everything and anything. So, you've got that personality out there, right? You think that person is making valuable works or they're just accusing the church. You see, I'm going to teach you how to turn that into a valuable work appropriately and hopefully open your eyes to help change the hearts and the minds of these people simply by praying and letting the Holy Spirit do his part. But you get the valuable work out of it because you prayed. We're going to we'll show you that. It's awesome. This is a great teaching. Uh verse 22. He also that receiveth seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word and the let me read that again. I'm g start again. He also that receiveth seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word and the care of this world or the distraction of this world and the deceitfulness delusion of riches wealth choked or strangled completely the word and he becometh unfruitful or barren. Okay. So now I'm going to stop here. This is what the Christian most people see every day. They go to church, their church is teaching them to claim the values of wealth. They have their wealth. They're claiming their wealth. And it is all about wealth for them. And it is nothing to do with the world or the the word of God actually. It is all about themselves about how wealthy they are and how the cares of the world they get involved with. They get involved with royalty. Uh who's who. Uh the type of clothing keeping up with the Joneses. These are a type of Christian. Again, they're a Christian, but they're not putting anything valuable into the works that's going to be tried by fire, and those works are not going to be sustained. Now, let's look at the next one. I'm trying to show you all the little different ones here. Verse 23. But he that receives seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word and understandeth. He put it all together. He comprehended it, which also beareth fruit and bringeth forth. Some 100fold, some 60, some 30. Now there are believers in Christ who decide to go to the next level. So we got our foundation of Christ. We open the Bible, we read the Bible, we get into the word of God. We spend time in the secret place with the Lord. We praise God at home in everything we do at our jobs and at church. And we live the exemplary type of life that hopefully others will see and be hunger and hungry and thirsty for it and want it too. Now, what is a valuable work and what is an invaluable work? Because now that you see the different types of Christians out there, let's kind of get down to the root of what this is and and let's go to Colossians 3. We're start here in verse 23. Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily or from the spirit as to the Lord and not unto men. Very key there. We're talking from the spirit. We are not talking about works that are earthly works. We are talking spiritual works because we operate in the spirit. We do not fight against flesh and blood but against powers and principalities. Okay? And there's more to that scripture. You can read that scripture on your own if you like. Verse 24. Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance heir possession for ye serve the Lord Christ. You see how doing it from heartily from the spirit to the Lord and not unto men. This is what I was referring to earlier. You do your part. It doesn't matter the outcome of them because you're doing it. But you need to do it in the spirit. And I'm going to show that a little further. Verse 25. But he that doeth wrong or to be unjust shall receive the wrong which he hath done. And there is no respect of persons. You can do wrong. You can be a man, a woman, you can be black, white, you could be green, an alien, UFO, whatever you do wrong. You will have wrong come back onto you. There's what's called the Abrahamic curse and you can go look at that. The Abrahamic blessing and cursing and basically if you curse Israel, the curses are on you. You bless Israel, you will be blessed. And that blessing and cursing still applies to this day. So the valuable work has to do with the spirit now. Okay? Now remember this has nothing to do with whether you're going to enter heaven or not. You're going to enter heaven. It's a question of how you're going to enter heaven. You see, if you're putting in the valuable works, you're going to slide into heaven and you're going to be the cool man and you're going to be placed in a position because you've got your value of all the things. Of course, it comes with humility and things of that nature. So, but you're going to walk in like that because God has already blessed you because you had already started your spiritual life here in the earth on in your flesh. And that means your eternity already began. So, he's already teaching you positions in heaven that you're going to operate here and now. When you're not doing anything of value and it gets tested by fire and all that burns, you walk in, but you're going to have to go through training and other areas before you can be moved into into any position. Your inheritance is that you got into heaven. You just didn't get anything more out of it. As to what is more, heaven is a mystery. But I know this, it's better than this place. Amen. Now, what is a valuable uh thing here on earth that you can do? So, let's say you you see a pastor mess up, and I use this all the time uh in part of my analogies, especially when I remind you guys, listen, if you if I mess up, don't come attacking the messenger. Listen, the L the Lord will talk to me. And he doesn't. And I've I've done that through my history. If you watch my videos in history, you will see I have I was misquing um Joel 2:32. Is Joel 21:13 for I think I did it three messages in a row. But the Holy Spirit caught me and he taught me and I caught it. And the next message I said, "Oh, you know, I I didn't go re-record those messages. I shouldn't have to." This is how it works. Never go after the anointed one in a position. So if you have a leader in the church who is not following the principles of the Bible, meaning he's got a wobbly foundation going on. He's misleading people and there he's under a delusion and a deception because he's forgetting the foundation of the word of God. Your job if you want the valuable work out of this is you need to pray for him. That is a value of gold, silver and precious stones that will go into your pile and God is going to count it as valuable whether that pastor changes or not. You see it has nothing to do with that pastor and the outcome. It has to do with whether you were obedient and gave it to the Lord. Now, there is a calling that the Bible teaches us of how to go minister to a pastor if need be. Now, it could it may need to come from another pastor. It may need to come from his friend, but somebody will do it. But your prayer will go farther than anything you can say or condemn him in the public. You will not get anywhere. If you choose to condemn him and bring him down in public, all you're doing is putting an invaluable item in your pile. So, it's going to be burned. It's going to be that wood, the hay, the stubble. It's going to burn away. It ain't valuable. That's just one example. Now, how when you go to pray in the spirit, what are you praying? Look, I want you to understand um because the Lord's going to teach you how to pray. And I've been dealing with prayer since um well, the end of last year, November, December, maybe even as early as October. And then we started doing uh the new prayers. I had a new empowering prayers on the website. You can go check those out. And there is a big call for prayer right now in the churches. If you haven't caught on to that, you're not paying attention. I want you to pay attention. So look, look at how we should do this. How we get this valuable work in our pile. Hebrews 11:6. But without faith or persuasion, credence, it is impossible to please him. Who? Please God. For he that cometh to God must believe, have faith that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek out, investigate. No, notice, you are rewarded for seeking him out, no matter what the outcome is. I hope that you are grasping that because we're talking valuable works versus invaluable works. how to be a beloved believer in Christ and yet still have your reward and inheritance, not losing a salvation, but being able to walk in and still have something to walk in with that is valuable. And you'll be surprised because I I'll know this much. Many people and and you see this is why we're not God and we're not the Holy Spirit and we shouldn't try to do their jobs for them. Many people who face a crisis situation in their lives automatically call out to God. That is salvation. That's confession. This is why bad things happen. Sometimes it it needs to happen bad in order to wake you up because if everything's going good, why would you need God? You see, and I think a lot of people misunderstand that concept of it. You know, God is in control. God is in control of everything, good and evil. So once you grasp it and by the way that changed my my whole walk with Christ when that happened handful of years ago and I taught on it here it is acknowledging and realizing that when God is in control it's a it's a humbling factor in your life because suddenly okay God I don't know why I'm being attacked but I'm going to come to you I'm g praise you I'm going worship you and I'm going to act in obedience by coming to you and giving you this thing and I'm going to cast it out. But I am also asking help me fix my walk if I'm doing something wrong. Am I saying something wrong? Am I misunderstanding something wrong? That is a valuable prayer that goes in the pile. And then what happens is as you open your word of God, he begins to work in you through the spirit and your walk changes. Now sometimes go to Paul's life. Look at his life as a believer in Christ. He stood up against the sin of what was going on in the cities and he vocalized. He went to prison for it. He was buffeted by either the Holy Spirit, this the Satan, the spirits that were preventing him from going towards us. Cuz see, he knew in his mind that he had the keys to the kingdom of heaven. He knew that what he loosed was loosed and what he bound was bound. He knew that he can go forward and make a change in all of these areas and he tried and something stopped him. You see, he was moving into this region of spirituality while he was still a man and God being the one in control says, "Let's calm down. I know you got it. I need you to go here and do this." And this is where the Christian's life and walk changes. Paul was buffeted. It knocked him down. Whether he got sick, whether he he had a thorn in his side, whatever it was, we don't know really what that was. We can surmise. But either way, he was having some serious issues. Could have been with the mind. It could have been anything. This is where you come in and say, "Well, Lord, then I'm going to choose to have a relationship with you because I believe that you're in control. you're God and I'm just going to give it to you. And you see now God says, "Okay, now I want you here and he's going to show you and move you around." He's going to help you put your valuable works on the table. So it passes the test of fire. Amen. Romans 14:7-10. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. I want you to catch this because Paul caught it. You see, it's not about doing this for even the valuable things that we want to put in our pile, but it is for us having that better relationship with Christ. And that whatever the outcome is as between the spirit, God, and that person, not you. And this is the scripture for that. For whether we live, we live into the Lord. And whether we die, we die unto the Lord. Whether we live therefore we or die, we are the Lord's. I hope you're getting this. Understand that whether you actually do the prayer and you pray for that person or you don't, you're still a believer in Christ because you are of the Lord. Now, you may live longer because you did it and you got the value in there or you may die a quicker death, but you're still of the Lord. I hope you're getting this. This is very powerful, very blatant, very straightforward scripture. You cannot deny. Look at verse 9 and 10. For to this end Christ both died and rose and revived that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living. Meaning both whether you choose to do a valuable thing for your life or you choose to do an invaluable work in your life. Oh, I hope you're catching this. But why dust thou judge thy brother? Or why dust thou set not thy brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. You see now he's talking about exactly what I'm talking about. So if you're going to go judge your brother, he's saying go in the spirit and do it valuably. Do the work appropriately under the spirit of God. Give your brother to the Lord in the spirit. Don't go and condemn him. Don't go because see whether you're going to die or live. Christ died for both and you have to stand before the judgment seat. It doesn't matter. I hope you're getting this. I pray and I hope that others will follow my example and choose the the path where you put the valuable things down in the spirit on your foundation of Jesus Christ. But if you choose to walk away, I bless you and I I I give you to the Lord. I pray I forgive you. Remember who you forgive, Jesus forgives. So walk in forgiveness for your brother and sister in the Lord. You need to be doing that because when you're forgiving, there's another valuable item you are adding to the foundation that's going to pass the test of fire. But again, Jesus died for both. So, if you miss one time that you didn't do something valuable, it's not the end of the world. You catch it on the next one. You see, I don't want you to feel condemned or guilty because you missed something. What you simply do is you forgive and you move on. Forgive yourself. Again, that's a valuable work that you add to the pile. You turn your life around and you walk with Christ. I hope you're grasping this. This is awesome. Verse 10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad, worthless, worth, worthy or worthless on your body. By the way, notice that this is about your body. You know, um remember we are under a curse. When man fell, we become part of death. Every man is appointed to die once. Hebrews 9:27. And that means to die, we're aging. But every moment you spend with Christ, the aging slows down. So even though the curse is there, we can be an overcomer. We're still in this flesh. This flesh is still going to fall. But God sent his son. And that means our soul and our spirit, he's going to choose us. He's going to pull us out of this. We're going to be with him in eternity. Amen. Whether we did a valuable thing or a worthless or invaluable thing. I hope you're getting that. See, Romans 10:9 simply tells you that if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. That's all it takes. So, the moment you're in a situation where you say, "Lord Jesus," and maybe nobody ever hears you say this, just the Holy Spirit, and you choose to do invaluable, you're saved. You see, this is why we can't condemn our brothers and sisters in the Lord. This is why we have to have compassion and love and forgiveness for them. We don't know what's going on in their hearts, but the Holy Spirit does. And it is possible and very highly probable that they called on Christ somewhere along their life because all of us face some sort of hardship in our lives. And I'm going to tell you right now, I've done my fair share of calling on Christ, saying, "Forgive me. Forgive me. Forgive me." especially when I get sick or anything of that nature and it's like h Lord what did I do and then I realize has nothing to do with that you know what I'm still you know what I be I I treat it like I'm kind of like Job where you know what devil you want to attack me with a sickness or whatever so be it I'm still going to worship God I'm still going to pray and of course I I go into my bed and I'm praying to the Lord and there I am I said Lord I know I'm being a whiny baby about this one but I need your divine intervention here to clear out this cold or sickness. And that's what I do. I'm not going to let it uh bring me down spiritually, spirit, morally spiritually because I still serve God and I'm going to still be obedient to him whether whatever happens because God comes first. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you. Matthew 6:33. 2 Corinthians 5:21. For he hath made him to be sin, an offense for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness, equity, justification of God in him. You see, Christ did this for us to give us this moment. He died for us. He died for whether we choose to walk valuable with him or we choose to walk in invaluable works with him. It doesn't matter. He chose to die for us. Doesn't matter. We need to just repent. And this is where it comes very important, my friends, to be careful of your biblical principles that you stand on. I'm not saying you're going to lose your salvation, but you could bring a curse upon yourself. If you are teaching and leading people that you're of unsuress in whatever you're trying to teach, that's a sin. You need to forgive that. You need to forgive yourself and you need to ask the Lord to give you the wisdom and knowledge and understanding of that scripture so that you can teach it appropriately. Because if you got the call of teaching upon your life, you should be teaching the word of God in knowledge, his knowledge, not your own. You shouldn't be teaching on what you think you know. You shouldn't be limiting God and the spirit to what you think should be the outcome and how the outcome should occur. Don't do that. However, you can't go in and pray and say, "Well, Lord, if you want to do it this way, fine. If you want to do another way, fine. I'm just here to support you in prayer because you're not God. But that's a valuable work that you put in your life." Amen. I hope you get this message and you're blessed by this word as I am. Amen. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word and we thank you for applying it to our lives and that we can live by it and that we go and build valuable works on you in the spirit, Father God, in your foundation, Jesus. Thank you for teaching us that and giving us the strength and the encouragement to stand strong in you, Lord, for you are great and this is about you in the name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. See you in the next video. Bye-bye. Previous Next Home
- THE DUALITY OF LIFE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE DUALITY OF LIFE To explain the eternal duality of life as revealed in Scripture—being either “inside” or “outside” of God’s kingdom—and to emphasize that faith in God’s Word and obedience to its truth determine one’s eternal destiny. The lesson seeks to encourage belief in God’s promises, warn against deception and falsehood, and invite all to choose life by thirsting for and receiving the living water freely offered through Christ. THE DUALITY OF LIFE Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To explain the eternal duality of life as revealed in Scripture—being either “inside” or “outside” of God’s kingdom—and to emphasize that faith in God’s Word and obedience to its truth determine one’s eternal destiny. The lesson seeks to encourage belief in God’s promises, warn against deception and falsehood, and invite all to choose life by thirsting for and receiving the living water freely offered through Christ. Synopsis: The Duality of Life centers on Revelation 22:14–15, where Scripture draws a sharp distinction between those who enter the celestial city and those left outside. The teaching highlights that life and eternity hinge on a simple but profound truth: one is either “in” or “out.” The deciding factor is faith—belief in God’s Word and the willingness to live by its precepts. The message traces how faith opens the way to eternal life, while unbelief results in exclusion. Those who reject God’s Word are said to practice a lie, building their lives on delusion, idolatry, and false promises. This downward progression ultimately leads to immorality, sorcery, hatred, and murder, all of which characterize those outside God’s city. By contrast, those who hear, thirst, and respond to God’s invitation are drawn into the life-giving reality of His Word. Tribulations often awaken this thirst, leading believers from temporary desires to eternal ones. Preaching and teaching God’s Word play a vital role in stirring faith, for “faith comes by hearing.” The contrast is clear: God’s Word is truth, while unbelief is a lie. The eternal destiny of every soul depends on their response to this truth. In the end, the teaching exhorts the reader to choose wisely: to embrace God’s Word, drink freely of the living water, and thereby be counted among the blessed who enter into life—rather than the deceived who remain outside forever. Inspired Teaching: Revelation 22:14-15 “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” The one thing about life is that your are either in or you are out. When the final judgment day comes it will be the same, you are either in or you are out. What decides as to whether one makes it in or out depends on what we believe. Those who believe the Word of God and try to live by its precepts will have the right to enter into the celestial city, however those who choose not to believe what the Word of God says will be left out. Faith is what casts the final vote, for even atheists believe, for they have faith in their belief that there is no God. Everyone that chooses not to believe in the Word of God practices a lie, and by their own actions they keep themselves out of the celestial city. After all I bet that you never heard of a person that wants to travel to a city that they do not believe it really exists. Revelation 22:6 “Then he said to me, ‘These words (and the fulfillment of these prophetic words) are faithful and true.’ And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place.” So that it is the words that are written in the Bible and their prophetic fulfillment that we are required to believe in if we want to enter into His eternal abode; for failure to do so will keep us out forever. Revelation 22:7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” A person that is allowed to enter through the pearly gates into the celestial city is in deed truly blessed! What is it that draws people to believe what the Bible teaches? Revelation 22:17 “And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.” Three things are listed that progressively will lead a person to take the water of life freely, which is to have faith in the Word of God. You have to have ears to hear the invitation of the Spirit and the bride. A person who is not thirsty does not look for a drink, for there is no desire, no thirst within him. Such a person does not hear the call until there is a need. Jesus told us that in this world we would have tribulations. For as it turns out, it is mostly when we are having problems or are in a desperate need that we try to reach out and hear from God; and that is God’s desire for us, that we turn to Him even if it is only when we are in need. However, once we hear Him, His desire is that we progress into thirsting for eternal things rather than the temporal things that we usually crave. As we begin to read and study the Word of God, the emphasis for our life will begin to change from that of temporal things to eternal things. Once our desires are changed, the things that we thirst for will also change, but none of that can happen until we hear from the Word of God. Romans 10:14 “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” This is why we preach and teach the Word of God, so that when there is a need in your life that the world cannot cure, and remember that the world’s cure is always worse than the disease itself. You would turn to Him who is able to satisfy you with His living waters, that once you partake of, you will never thirst again for they are eternal. In the list of those who are kept out we see a progression as well: Revelation 22:15 “But outside are dogs (unbelievers) and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” It all begins, or should I say begin and end, with a lie, which is the absence of the truth, for those who refuse to hear the Word of God. God is truth. His Word is truth. A man’s refusal to believe in the truth makes that man a liar, and a person that is a liar is an idolater. For that person refuses to believe in the truth, or in what is real, and the purpose of believing that which is not truth or real is a delusion. Zechariah 10:2 “For the idols speak delusion; the diviners envision lies and tell false dreams…” Idolaters are void of the truth of God’s love and the opposite of love is hate; hate that leads to the murdering of those who believe in the truth. John 8:43-44 “Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.” Sexual immorality is the physical representation of idolatry, which is the lusting after the things that are not really real. Things that do not offer real satisfaction, for the lusting after them is based on diluted reasoning. 1 Corinthians 10:8 “Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.” Sorcerers traffic in the trade of illusions that are manufactured through the manipulation of the human senses by external as well as internal means, as in drug abuse. Sensuality goes hand in hand with sexual immorality or in other words, the allure that they both offer is an illusion that will never truly satisfy the thirsty soul. So that none of those lying crafts or those who continue to practice them will make it into the heavenly New Jerusalem, for God will judge them. Jesus told us that it all began with them not being able to hear, for had they been able to listen to His Word, their desires would have been transformed into godly desires as the Word of God judged them internally by exposing the desires of their hearts that were based on a lie, and they would have thirsted for that which is real and satisfying instead, which is the truth of God’s Word. 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 “For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person.” Those who can clearly hear the Word of God will develop a thirst for it, and those who thirst after the Word of God will have all their desires totally satisfied, as it is written: Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely! So which side of life do you want to be on? Do you want to be in the inside of life, or on the outside of life? How you regard the Holy Scriptures will determine which side of life you end up with! The devil, the world, the secular media, secular humanists, godless politicians, godless professors, the supreme court, and everybody else that they can get to ride their omnibus, will try to persuade you not to listen or prohibit you from listening and adhering to the Word of God and to its life giving principles. The irony is that you truly have a choice, choose life! Previous Next Home
- THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH The objective of this teaching is to affirm the believer’s confidence in the absolute, unchanging truth of God’s Word. It emphasizes that truth is not relative nor subject to human circumstances, but is embodied in Christ Himself and confirmed in every one of God’s righteous judgments, which endure forever. By understanding the immutability of God’s Word and covenant, Christians are encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith, resist the enemy’s attempts to sow doubt, and live in the peace and security that comes from loving and trusting the entirety of Scripture. THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH Pastor Marcos Marrero March 17, 2019 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to affirm the believer’s confidence in the absolute, unchanging truth of God’s Word. Synopsis: In The Entirety of Your Word is Truth, Pastor Marcos explores Psalm 119:160 and John 18–19 to reveal the eternal nature of God’s Word and its embodiment in Christ. The message begins with Pilate’s question to Jesus, “What is truth?”, showing the tragic irony of looking Truth in the face yet failing to accept Him. Pilate recognized Jesus’ innocence but still surrendered to lies and political pressure, a vivid illustration of humanity’s tendency to suppress absolute truth. Pastor Marcos explains that God’s Word is not fragmented or situational; it is whole and unchanging. The challenge for believers lies in resisting the natural human inclination to treat truth as variable, shaped by circumstances or feelings. This tendency originates from Adam and Eve, who chose to believe the lie instead of God’s eternal Word. Likewise, Christians today face constant assaults on the truth of Scripture, where even doubting a single righteous judgment weakens their stance in faith. The message highlights God’s covenant oath through Jesus Christ, the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, sealed by two immutable realities: God cannot lie, and He will not change His mind. This unshakable foundation assures believers of His steadfast love and the eternal validity of His promises. Loving God’s law—inseparable from loving Christ—produces peace and prevents stumbling. Finally, Pastor Marcos exhorts believers to respond to attacks on God’s truth not with doubt, but with holy disgust toward lies and slander. By holding firmly to His testimonies, loving His law, and becoming doers of the Word, Christians can stand secure in God’s unchanging covenant love. Jesus, the very embodiment of God’s Word, guarantees that His truth endures forever—demanding our eternal trust and devotion. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 119:160 “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” If there is a kink in the armor of the faithful it has to be in their failure to comprehend the entirety of truth presented to us in God’s Word. It was Pilate who beholding into the face of Truth, stupidly asked what has to be the dumbest question ever asked: What is truth? John 18:38 “Pilate said to Him, ‘What is truth?’...I find no fault in Him at all.” I do not fault people for not knowing what truth is if they have not met Truth, but Pilate met Truth in person and recognized Him to be Truth, for he also said that he found no fault in Him; if there is no fault in Him then He is the real thing, the entirety of truth. Is there something going on here that can help us to understand what the entirety of God’s Truth is? Let’s take a look at what Jesus said to Pilate first, who by the way, was not a stupid man, for Pilate’s position required him to be astute in both, politics and governance, which requires great insight into matters of understanding people’s behavior in regards to the application of laws. John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said to Him, ‘Are you a king then?’ Jesus answered, ‘You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.’” Pilate knew that the charges that they were brought against Jesus were politically motivated, for the ministry of Jesus was a threat to the Jewish leadership of that time. Pilate saw this as a struggle for power between the Jews, and he saw himself as the kingmaker. So that in essence what Pilate asked Jesus was this, Tell me, why should I make You a king, what’s in it for me? To which Jesus responded, You know that I am a King for you have seen My authority (I’m paraphrasing). Then Jesus reveals to Pilate what His ministry, or kingship, was really all about, For this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. It was at that point that Pilate crossed the line, in what is a normal human response when confronted with undeniable truth, he turned and mocked Truth! After that Pilate tried unsuccessfully to extricate himself from the matter. He tried to release Jesus indirectly, by putting Him side by side with the worse criminal, but they chose the criminal over Jesus. He had Jesus tortured and punished by having Him scourged, mocked, and ridiculed, then he brought Jesus before His accusers and said: John 19:5 “Then Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. And Pilate said to them, ‘Behold the Man!’” But it was not enough to satisfy the lie, for the lie can never exist while in the presence of Truth, no matter how much the truth is ridiculed. John 19:6 “Therefore, when the chief priest and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, ‘Crucify Him, crucify Him!’ Pilate said to them, ‘You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.’” The reality is that once a person is confronted with Truth there is no going back, they can try to suppress the truth all they want, but like in the case of Pilate’s actions, to no avail. What is the message here for us who believe that Jesus is the Truth? Is He the entirety of Truth, or like Pilate, are we struggling to come to terms with the reality of it? Let me explain what I mean. Here is what the second part of our opening text reveals to us. Every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. Our normal human response to truth is to recognize it at first, but we are also influenced to believe that truth can change in response to the changing circumstances. In other words, we inheritably take issue with absolute truth that endures forever. We inherited that predisposition from Adam and Eve who believed the lie of the devil at the cost of partaking of the tree of life, which is: Every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever. So that as Christians we are confronted with a constant assault against the truth of the Word of God in which we first believed. All the devil has to do is to get us to doubt just one of His righteous judgments, and just like that, we will find ourselves outside of the absolute truth that endures forever. And like Pilate we try hard to make up for our deficiencies and we just end up making it worse. Here is the key that keeps us from falling away from the Word of Truth: Psalm 119:157 “Many are my persecutors and my enemies, yet I do not turn from Your testimonies.” I do not turn from Your testimonies, plural, that means I keep every one of them, and I know that His testimonies, or covenant, endure forever. In order to keep all His testimonies, all the time, we need to understand the covenant that God has secured to His testimonies. For we cannot keep any of His testimonies outside of the covenant of salvation. Hebrews 6:17-18 “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel (His testimonies), confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” The context is the priesthood of Jesus as the mediator of the new covenant, and it is within this context that God takes an oath which is based on two immutable, or unchangeable things: First is the fact that it is impossible for God to lie. The second is that God swore to the priest from Melchizedek’s line that He would not change His mind. Hebrews 7:21 “...The Lord has sworn and will not relent (change His mind), ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.’” Can you see how God deals with the tendency of our fallen human nature to see truth from the context of changing? He removes any grounds to doubt that we may entertain, by basing the New Covenant on two unchangeable facts: The God who cannot lie, swore that He would not change His mind! In the natural we see some things that are very dear to us today, fall out of our favor tomorrow. Persons that we love and have sworn to love in the past, can give us reason today that causes us to change our minds and our feelings towards them. And that is how we tend to see ourselves in the sight of God. When we are trusting in His testimonies we feel good and secured. When we struggle to comprehend the truth of His promises to us, we wonder if we’ve done something that caused Him to change His mind about us. Without love there is no way to resolve this. Psalm 119:165 “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.” I love His law because I love Jesus; God’s law, God’s Word, God’s promises, God’s statutes, are one and the same with Jesus! The law of the Lord is perfect because Jesus is perfect! The law of the Lord is perfected in us when we put our trust in the entirety of God’s Word! Jesus is perfect in every way, therefore we love and trust Jesus in every way, there is no reason then why we should not put our trust in the entirety of God’s Word at all times, all the time, for ever and forever. Jesus loves us and has saved us; He swore on an oath, and He cannot lie, that He would not change His mind about His love for us. He loves us eternally and unconditionally, is there any reason why we should not love Him and His Word eternally and unconditionally as well? I see none! How do we handle then, the daily barrage that continuously confronts our trust and confidence in the Word and promises of God to us? Psalm 119:158 “I see the treacherous, and am disgusted, because they do not keep Your word.” Here is something new, instead of distrust, when doubts are raised about the veracity of God’s Word, it is disgust toward the slanderers that raises up from within us. Is it not so that when something treasured that is beautiful and lovely is slandered, that contempt towards the slanderers is what rises? Why should we doubt the immutable and unchangeable Word of God that promises us God’s unending, fervent, and perfect love? Is not Jesus the manifestation of God’s perfect love towards us? John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” What part of Jesus do we not love or agree with? If we love and agree with all that Jesus is and did for us, then we also must believe that the entirety of God’s Word is truth. Since it is God’s Word who testifies of Him and of His love and of His covenant that He made on our behalf. We cannot and should not have one outside of the other! Psalm 119:166 “Lord, I hope for Your salvation, and I do Your commandments.” James 1:22 “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” Previous Next Home
- THE PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)
THE PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING To teach believers how to experience and walk in the supernatural peace of God that transcends human understanding, especially in turbulent and uncertain times. The message aims to equip listeners with scriptural truths, historical examples, and practical application, so they may remain steadfast, confident, and at rest in Christ while recognizing God’s sovereign plan unfolding in the world. < Back THE PEACE THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING Minister Lisa Kane November 13, 2022 Objective: To teach believers how to experience and walk in the supernatural peace of God that transcends human understanding, especially in turbulent and uncertain times. The message aims to equip listeners with scriptural truths, historical examples, and practical application, so they may remain steadfast, confident, and at rest in Christ while recognizing God’s sovereign plan unfolding in the world. Synopsis: In this teaching, Lisa Kane explores Philippians 4:7–9 as the foundation for understanding God’s peace. She highlights Paul’s example of living free in spirit despite physical bondage, showing that true peace is rooted in Christ rather than circumstances. Drawing parallels from biblical history—such as Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and the rejection of Christ in His day—Lisa emphasizes that God often works through the separation of two groups: those who trust Him and those who resist Him. She connects these truths to current world events, including political upheaval, prophetic fulfillment in Israel, and end-time signs foretold by Jesus in Matthew 24, Luke 21, and Mark 13. Despite troubling circumstances, believers are called to focus on eternity, walk in righteousness, and live in confidence that God’s plan is advancing. The message explains the mystery of death, the rapture, and the power of baptism as symbolic of dying to sin and living in newness of life. Lisa stresses the importance of nourishing the Word of God like a seed, so it grows into spiritual maturity and peace. She also addresses the vital role of confession and the spoken word in aligning with God’s promises, binding and loosing in spiritual authority, and casting burdens onto the Lord. Through personal testimony, biblical teaching, and prophetic insight, the message reassures listeners that God’s peace is available and powerful. By humbling themselves, casting cares on Him, and standing in faith, believers can overcome fear, frustration, and deception, setting a testimony of peace for the world to witness in these last days. Inspired Teaching: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kane. I'm recording this on Sunday, November 13, 2022. And this message is called the peace that surpasses all understanding. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we thank you for your blessing on it. Oh, let it penetrate our hearts and minds. Let us believe, receive, apply, and live your word. Thank you for the power of your word. And thank you, Jesus, for coming and dying on the cross for our sins and showing us this powerful peace that we have in spite of your return that we can be here in peace and know that our eyes are focused on you and have that confidence in you, Lord. Thank you, Father God. In the glorious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Let's go into our opening scripture here in Philippians 4:es 7 and 9. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me these do and the God of peace will be with you. Paul wrote those words and Paul was a very determined man of God. He set an example for us and you can see what he says here. He clearly says it. Look at you know the things you which you learned and received and heard and saw in me these do. So he said, I set an example here. You know, he came to the point in his life where he was content even in bondage because he wasn't in bondage. He was always free in his mind and in his heart. And that is what I'm going to teach you today because we are in some very interesting times. And I want to show you some mystery in relation to these times because you know I have been telling everyone look at our current US election results here and I've been telling everyone around me there isn't going to be a red wave and the demons are going to win everything back because we need evil in power for the return of the Lord. And because we saw Matthew 24's beginning scriptures, Luke 21, Mark 13, the beginning set of scriptures that Jesus prophesied about, rumors of wars, wars, large earthquakes in various places, famines, pestilences, COVID that those prophecies came fulfilled in our lifetime, in our we saw it. I'm a I witnessed that and I testified to that. Amen. And each person who saw that knows. Now, in that context, Jesus said, "This generation shall not pass away." So, for all you folks out there that says, "Well, one, there's no rapture. And two, it hasn't happened in the last 2,000 years." Well, because that prophecy took place, it's going to be in our generation. And because the everything's in place for it as well, you know, the nation of Israel is the nation of Israel again. So, you can see everything played out. it I mean it's prophesied to the minute detail in such a way that you can see it and you know there is no doubt here. Okay. So I want to show you some scriptures because you need to know this and you need to have a piece about it because I'm going to tell you it gets extremely frustrating knowing that you did what you were supposed to do. You prayed, you fasted, you said, "Lord, this there's evil in in our leadership. What Lord intervene, intervene." And then there's others that just want to take action with their own hands. And it gets extremely frustrating. But let's remember Bible. Let's remember the history here. Egypt, God hardened Pharaoh's heart. Moses and Aaron were in the presence of the Pharaoh and tell and showing signs and wonders and this man still refused to let his people go because God interveneed. And then and notice there were two groups of people. We have two groups of people today. So you had the Egyptians who did not believe in God. You had the Israelites, the nation of Israel, who did believe in God and God separated them. God pulled the nation of Israel out into the wilderness. And the Egyptians because they rejected God, which you know, this was God's purpose. God said, "I harden Pharaoh's heart." He did it on purpose. He killed them all with the water in the uh Red Sea and that separated the nation of Israel and Egypt permanently because we know that the nation of Israel wanted to go back. We also know that in Jesus' day you had two groups of people and that was very interesting because you had the group that was crucifying Jesus, the nation of Israel rejecting him and then you had his followers and you saw the the change take place. the the veil was torn in two and you saw the one group get rejected and you know they went into like the nation of Israel kind of just shut down. I mean they they have their seven years still left. Remember revelation is coming that is for the nation of Israel that is not for the bride of Christ. So but God created two things. He he took the representation of God from himself, from the nation of Israel, put it on Jesus, and Jesus said, "Here, bride, you do this." So, I've been teaching on this now for several messages. So, this has happened, and that's what we're living in right now, where we have mercy and grace because of what Jesus did. He redeemed us. And again, two groups of people. So that generation that uh rejected Messiah, that generation that rejected God and letting his people go, well, they're known for that. What do you think this generation's going to be known for? They're going to be known for missing the boat because they're going to go into the seven-year tribulation because they did not repent. So you've got again the two groups of people here and one group can't control the other group because God is doing this. So how do you get your mind wrapped around that? Because I'm telling you these are very odd times. So, and and to reaffirm the word of God and its truth because, you know, when I was putting this message together, this part was so strongly in me. It's like I need to share it. So, let's look at this because this is going to build our confidence and assurance in the word of God in what's coming. Okay, that's what this is about. Watch the scriptures here. Look at this. Uh, I did not change a scripture. Let's go here. Here we go. Hebrews 9:27. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. Okay, so one of the things that people struggle with and this remember I talked about a healthy theological debate about who the two witnesses are and stuff like this. Well, there's a mystery behind death. Okay. So, for those of you who still think that the rapture is not going to happen, that the word rapture is not in the Bible, the word caught up is, and in context is caught up with Jesus in the clouds, very very clearly spoken and very easy words to understand in the translations from Latin from Greek to Latin. Uh that's where the rapura Latin means caught up. Now, the Greek word is harpo, and it is a more powerful word because it says in the nick of time. It really is very applicable to what's going on. But the key here is, okay, if everyone's appointed to die once, and you're about to build your faith, watch, learn, look at, listen to this revelation. What about the people that change in the twinkling of an eye? They don't die. What about Enoch and Elijah who didn't die? Oh, let's reveal the mystery because I want you to have your faith built up here and see the return of Christ and have that knowledge because you need the confidence and assurance to have this peace that surpasses all understanding. Look at this scripture about believers in Christ. These are the ones that are going to get caught up with the Lord. Watch this. Romans 6, we're going to read verse 4 and verse 11. Therefore, we were buried with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Likewise, you also reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to c to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. I want you to see something there. As soon as you are in the ministry with the Lord, okay, so this is what happens when you get saved. Remember, we're made from dirt, the soil. God formed man out of the dirt of the earth. And when we receive the word of God and that seed is planted in us because we're dirt, it gets planted in us. When we go to get baptized, we go down under the water. We come up, we germinate or we uh water the seed to germinate and start to grow. Now, what happens here is a couple of things. You know, you've seen plants make it and some don't. If you ever been a gardener of any kind, you will know that some make it, some don't. So, the key here is that you need to nourish the seed. You need to let it grow. And in order to do that, you have to expand your mind, get the revelation of the scripture, and let it grow into the tree of life because that is what you are. You represent life in Christ, which means you're dead to sin. So those that live righteously, which is going to lead to peace, and we're going to see that connect here. When you live righteously, you're called to go up in the rapture because the return of Christ is coming and you're going to change in the twinkling of an eye. And you're already dead. Your eternity already begins now. Just because you're still in the flesh doesn't mean anything. You're already on God's side in the heavenly realm. Amen. Oh, hallelujah. So now, because we can be in this times and we see all these things that are going on, you see how this all applies. Now, I want you to understand something. You know, uh, baptism is not necessary for salvation. And I know that a lot of people take it as this is your acknowledgement that you're a Christian. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Remember what the word of God says. The confession of your mouth is your salvation. Remember Jesus on the cross and he had two thieves on each side of him. One thief was thief was mocking him. The other thief says don't mock him. He's truly innocent here. Jesus said to the one guy who defended him, I assure you I will see you in paradise in a few hours. Was that thief baptized? No. So what happened when Jesus was baptized? Because remember, we need to follow his example just like we're following Paul's example. We got to follow their examples. They set the parameters for us today because we need that. We need to see it. We need to follow it because we need to be in our peace to go through these end times because we're a generation that's going to be well known for futures to come, for ages to come. Okay? Because we let it happen. Did we? No. But we were there trying our best and our hardest. But the outcome is evil will rule until and then the whole thing happens when Jesus comes on Armagand Armageddon. So this is very very powerful, very important that you need to know. You need to see that as you get baptized, what did Jesus do when he got baptized? He came up, he went into the wilderness and he dealt with the devil and then he went into ministry. So he dealt with the strong man and then he went and laid hands on people. That's what baptism is all about is laying hands on the sick and entering the kingdom of God. Let's let's look at that a little more specifically. Romans 14:17, for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. So you see, you enter the kingdom of God as soon as you are baptized. You start to germinate the seed. You turn into a new creation. You change and you enter into this realm that is so extraordinary that people look at you and and you do set the example because see let's say uh suffering happens. You're you're in a situation where there's suffering going on and you just pray and you're at peace and you continue to be at peace. People look at you and go, "How come you're not more stressed out about this?" And here's the thing is when you're walking in that peace and when they see all hell break loose because they're going to see it. That day of the Lord is coming. They're going to try to call you because they're going to see what you know. That's your testimony. That's what you need to be showing here and now. Colossians 3:15. and let the peace of God rule in your hearts to which also you were called in one body and be thankful. You see when you are standing in that peace, it is setting a testimony and it is ruling your heart so that people see and know and again this is building your confidence that we know that the Lord is returning. We saw that every man was appointed to die. They see that in the twinkling of the eye, these people that die, they're already dead in Christ. So, they don't have to die. God's going to take them. Enoch was righteous. God took him. Now, he hasn't died yet. Uh Elijah, he went up in a chariot of fire. God took him, too. He He's not dead either. We know that there's two witnesses that's not identified in Revelation. They will die three and a half years in. It's good chance of Enoch and Elijah because that is to fulfill scripture. And we know of the two evil antichrist men in Moses day that the earth swallowed up that I taught on last week. Dayan and Aberon as probably the prophet and the beast. So there was two other people who hadn't died. They've been judged though already. I the scriptures will fulfill itself. You have to realize this. This is why when you see this movement like in our US elections here, we everyone kept saying red wave, red wave. I'm like, you guys got to know scripture. If you know scripture, you will know that they're not going to win. Now, the Old Testament talked about this too in detail. And I want to show you some scripture there because I think you're going to see how applicable this is and how even the Old Testament and New Testament just connect and join together. It's really awesome. Watch this. Isaiah 32:16-20. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness uh quietness and and assurance forever. The work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. Verse 18, my people will dwell in a peaceful habitation in secure dwellings and in quiet resting places. Though hail comes down on the forest and the city is brought low in humiliation. Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey. I want the reason I added those last two scriptures into that grouping there is I wanted you to see about the hail. I taught on this already. Scripture clearly tells us about the day of the Lord, the invasion of Gog and Magog and um the hail so bad that men curse God because of it. So, do you think that message of peace in that scripture was applicable to us today? Oh, you better believe it. Let's look at that again because I kind of stumbled over reading it. Watch this. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness and righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace. Remember I just talked about being in the right standing with God, having his word nourished, feeding it with his word, watering it so that you grow into this tree of life. To do that, you have to spend time in the word. And it's not enough to be in church once, two, three times a week. You have to spend the alone time with the Holy Spirit in order to get revelation. in order for you to rightly judge judge to rightly judge the teachings you're hearing. You can't do that unless you're in the scripture. And if you're just going to be that little old little sheep that just, you know, takes everything in and just follows what everybody does, you would have fell for this red wave. You see how this works? Now look at that. So the work of righteousness will be peace and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. You see that confidence and assurance has built within you. You see, I already have that assurance because I've been spending time in the word and I knew what was going to happen. And look, the outcome is is that it happened. I'm telling you folks, it is absolutely imperative that you spend time in the word because you will be at peace and have that confidence. Now, let me show you how it works. Having this piece and applying it because I'm going to tell you right now, you can easily trip and fall. I almost did. Yeah, I was very upset. I'll get to that testimony here in a bit. I want you to see the scripture. This scripture I probably have in almost every message I teach, but is my favorite of all time. Look at this. Romans 10:9-10. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes under righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made into salvation. Okay? You see that? With the mouth salvation is made. Look at that. Uh with the mouth confession is made into salvation. So the confession of the spoken word remember and I taught on this last time was let there be light that spoken word the power of the numa. Okay. So to have that peace. So sharing a little testimony here without the details. I just know that I was very upset at work a couple Fridays ago and uh I remember just sitting there in the bathroom. I was mad there. you know, something should have happened, didn't happen. Anyways, and you know, that goes to show where your heart and mind is, by the way. So, I'm using myself as a testimony here. So, I'm in the bathroom. I'm just crying out to God cuz I'm mad. And he says, "Well, what's more important? What I was mad about or his return?" And it put me in perspective very quickly. and all that emotion. But see, I had gone to God and I said, "Lord, I am mad about this." And he got me back on the right track. And because I spoke the situation to him, I gave it to him. Remember what Moses had to do with them birthe? They were the spirit of antichrist. They're in the wilderness for 40 years and they had been there for some time. And these two guys with their families and whomever sided with them went to Moses and said, "Who made you prince over us? You know, where's my uh land flowing with milk and honey? Where, you know, I should be laying here and people should be putting grapes into my mouth." And Moses like, I didn't do this because of me. I did it because of God. So, uh, Moses goes to God and says, "What's this all about?" God tells Moses, "Tell him to come see me." So, Moses tells him to come. And they said, "No." Do you see the selfishness behind these two guys? It's all about me. I want to make my life better. That is the spirit of Antichrist. And that's what a lot of people have. I want to make the elections right. We need these people in power, not these. You see what's going on here? I'm trying to teach you something here. So, you know, God dealt with these two men. I believe that's going to be the prophet and the beast. Who knows? You know, the scriptures don't identify who the two witnesses are, who the prophet is and the beast. But I would not be surprised because God completes his word. That is God. But the moment that you give it to the Lord and even if you don't even know, you know, for years I remember telling the Lord, I don't want to miss your rapture. Whatever it is I got to do, teach me. And here I am today dwelling in the secret. But he did teach me. It took some time, but I learned. So I want you to understand the power of the spoken word. Now, Moses spoke over those two guys and he spoke the word of God. He told the the camp to back off. Now, you can go read this in Numbers. I already taught on it, so I'm not bringing all of that element in, but because he spoke the word of God. You just had your confession. You had your situation. You see what's going on. Lord, I'm concerned about the elections. And God puts it back in your mind. What's more important? Eternity with me and my return for the moment for righteous goodness to overcome evil. Don't you know that evil needs to be in place? The whole world has to reject the nation of Israel for this. That means America has to do it too. So the spoken word has an active element here that moves things. Jesus explained it best. Let's go look at a couple scriptures here. Matthew 16 18- 19. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Remember I talked about the kingdom of God and entering the kingdom of God. And that is when you get baptized and you enter the kingdom of God, your spoken word changes things. It changes it for whatever you say. You know, it's like that saying, you think you're coming down with a cold and you say, "No, I think I'm coming down with a cold and by because you said it a few days later or within hours you're well because you spoke it." You know, I I was pretty confident I was coming down with CO a second time. And I remember that day I had a fever and I was like, "Lord, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't have time for this." I said, "Nope. I'm not sick." And I refused to be sick. Now, I did have a fever that day. Don't get me wrong. The physical was still there, but by the next day, everything was gone and I was back to normal. The spoken word makes a huge difference. It does. It's so powerful that that Jesus said it twice. We just saw it in Matthew 16. Look at this. Now we're in Matthew 18 15 and 20. And watch how he applies this here because now this applies. Remember, we have a clear dividing line in our nation. It is 50/50. You've got a group of people that want abortion that want to sin and have God bless them for it. You got that group of people. They reject God. Then you have the other group of people that are no, no, no, you can't do that. I mean, and you know what? They're under strong delusion. One of the things that's going on right now, I don't know if you guys saw this, but the interfaith group, I don't remember the full title of their name. And either next week or the week after, they're going to they're they're calling all religious leaders to join them on Mount Si so that they can write a new ten commandments. Yes, you heard me correctly. To write a new ten commandments to save the earth. Now, I'm going to tell you right now because there this is all about, you know, climate change and the earth and all that kind of stuff and people fall for this. Remember Jesus said, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but not my word." So, we already know the earth is going to die. Go read the end of Revelation and see how it ends. We have the victory. God has the victory. I'm on God's side. In case you haven't figured that out yet, you should. So, these people are falling for that. So, they think this is a good thing. You know, I want to tell you right now, set a new ten commandments against God's word. No, no, no, no. You don't do that. But God is saying, Jesus said it twice about the power of the spoken word. And I want you to see the ministry that you have here in the kingdom of God. Look at this. This is now watch how he applies this too. It's very, very powerful. So that we can apply it to this group of people that are following you for all this stuff. Watch this. Moreover, if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you've gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. Assuredly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever loose you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst in them. You see the power of the spoken word and what it does. You have to wonder, you know, where we are today. You know, I understand the Lord has been moving. So, he's caused all this. But I wonder if there were enough determined people who were like Paul who wanted to change the world and he Paul's like, "You got to let me do this, Lord." And he had a thorn in the flesh and he asked God three times to remove it. And God says, "No, my grace is sufficient for you." Because Paul was buffeted. He tried to go places and the devil fought him hard, knocked him down. Paul got back up, got knocked down again. He got back up. He dealt with principalities. He was knocking him down. He had this walk with God. And God's like, "Hold on, my son. Slow you down because we got to we got a few more generations here that need to take place." You see, God's plan is to get to the end of his scripture to fulfill prophecy. And that's the side we need to be on. So, how do you apply the spoken word to keep your peace? Oh, watch this. Watch this. Ecclesiastes 11:1-2. Cast your bread upon the waters. What does bread represent besides life? It's your most important element. You need bread to survive. I know we got a lot of vegans and stuff out there, but you you're actually a little sickly on the inside when you choose not to have bread. It just needs to be moderation, folks. But anyways, that is the most important thing. Whatever is important to you at that moment, the US elections. Cast your important bread. Cast the US elections, look at that, upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. give a serving to seven and also to a for you do not know what evil will be on the earth. You see what's going on here? Because that's applying to evil here. And we know that we've got an evil uh leadership in place right now that we have to cast out. It doesn't even just go there. There's even further. We're going to go to Peter here in just a moment, but I want you to see that Lord, I give you the elections because that's important to me. But your word is more important. Your plan is more important. And I'm h asking you to get my mindset straight. So I cast it to you. You see how you do that? You speak that word and it changes everything on the inside. The dynamics change. Watch what Peter says here. This is 1 Peter 5:6-11. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God. And that's exactly what you're doing the moment you speaking that word because you're mad. You think this should go right. You think righteousness should be here and you feel like you're letting evil in. But he says, "Humble yourself." Look at the scripture. These are powerful. Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you. Be sober. Be vigilant. Because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking seeking whom he may desire to put that into perspective. How many people are going to be upset with this election and do something stupid? But because if you had already been spending time with the word of God, even though you're upset about it, you had cast it, you can at least say, "I know God's work is going on here. He's up to something. I know he is. He's coming back. So, I'm just going to get my mind back on my eternity with him." You see how applicable that is? And when you miss that, because you haven't missed many time, you can easily get caught up here in the anger. And once you get angry, the devil pushes your buttons and causes you to do something stupid where like January 6, these people did this minor invasion and now they spend years in jail whereas murderers are getting out less time than them. You see the the hypocrisy here? It it should be frustrating but at the same time you just give it to the Lord and you say this I cast to you Lord. Amen. Let's go back to the scripture here. Because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Verse nine, resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. Oh, how awesome is that word? To him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. God comes first, my friend. You need to humble yourselves. And I will tell you this, like Moses dealt with Dayam and Aberon because he went to God and God dealt with them by opening the earth and swallowing them whole. When you put God first and you cast that care to him, you speak the word, look what happens. Romans 16:20, "And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly." When Satan's been nitpicking you and he's been doing all this stuff and you tell him to get below your feet, he runs, but all you know, he he affects the whole atmosphere and people come, people do God do Satan's job for him on a regular basis. Really unfortunate, but that's exactly what happens. And is his friends and family, okay? So, it just happens. That's that's the way he works because we all have our emotions. We all are having to humble ourselves and that is very challenging. But the moment you do and the moment you cast it out, he runs. It effectively stops Satan from being fruitful in your mind and in your heart. That is the God of peace ruling in you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That is a great word. Apply it, use it, speak it, and live it. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this message. Oh Lord, let us receive, walk and live by your word and to have the the gumption to speak your word and to speak our cares to you so that we can humble ourselves before you and give you this so that we could see our eternity with you and be excited about your return. Father God, oh we love you, we praise you, glorify you and honor you and in the name of Jesus. Amen. God bless you. I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next Home
