Synopsis: In The Covering of the Blood, Minister Lisa walks us through God’s unchanging pattern of protection and redemption—from the lamb’s blood brushed on the doorposts in Exodus to the precious blood Jesus shed on the cross for every believer today. We begin with the first Passover, where God instructed Israel to cover their homes with the blood of an innocent lamb. That blood stopped the destroyer in his tracks. It was a visible, outward covering—declaring, “This house belongs to God.” John the beloved later reveals the deeper fulfillment: Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. His blood becomes our covering. His sacrifice—poured out outside the gate—mirrors the blood applied on the outside of Israel’s homes. The message is clear: the blood of Jesus covers, protects, sanctifies, and separates us from the reach of the destroyer. Scripture identifies this destroyer as the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. His access into our lives often comes through agreement—when we repeat his lies with our words. But when we agree with God’s Word, we close the door to the enemy’s influence and step under divine protection. As Psalm 17 declares, the word of God keeps us from the path of the destroyer. Through Jesus’ sacrifice—His side pierced, His blood and water poured out—we are forgiven, covered, blessed, and made righteous. The believer who stands under the blood can boldly say, “Not today, Satan.” The destroyer cannot cross the boundary of the blood. This message concludes with an invitation to receive the covering of Jesus’ blood personally through prayer—opening the door to forgiveness, protection, and new life. And from that moment forward, the believer can confidently declare: “Jesus, today is Your day over my life. In the Old Testament, blood sacrifices were necessary because Jesus, the lamb of God had not been sacrificed yet. Notice what the blood does…it’s prevents the destroyer from entering. John 1:29 NKJV 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! Jesus represents the lamb of the Old Testament that used when Moses, following God’s leadership was leading the people out of Egypt. He died on the cross to cover us with His blood so that the destroyer will not destroy us. Hebrews 13:12-16 NKJV 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might [c]sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, [d]giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. The author of Hebrews makes an interesting point here. He’s stating the sacrifice Jesus made was outside the gate. Remember, the blood that placed on the doorposts and lintels…the blood was sprinkled on the outside, not the inside. The blood becomes an outside covering over us keeping us from being destroyed. Exodus 12:23 NKJV 23 For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the [a]lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you. So, who is the destroyer? John 10:10 NKJV 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. The thief is. Psalm 50:16-23 NKJV 16 But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, 17 Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you? 18 When you saw a thief, you consented[c] with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers. 19 You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit. 20 You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son. 21 These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes. 22 “Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver: 23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; And to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” The thief is sneaky and can sound like someone to listen to or be influenced by, but in order for him to succeed, we need to give him permission with our words. When you agree with his lies, you are against God. Psalm 17:4 NKJV 4 Concerning the works of men, By the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. But when you agree with God, you are kept from the destroyer. This is what the sacrifice of blood did for you and me. John 19:34 NKJV 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. Jesus poured out His blood and covered us. Psalm 32:1-2 NKJV Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not [b]impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Romans 4:5-8 NKJV 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, And whose sins are covered; 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord shall not impute sin.” Do you need the destroyer to stop interfering in your life? The time is now to ask Jesus to forgive you and to cover you with His blood. It’s easy. Say this prayer out loud: Dear Jesus, I’m sorry. I messed up and I ask You to forgive me of my sins and to cover me with Your blood. Keep the destroyer away from me. In Jesus’ Name Amen!     THE PRIESTHOOD OF THOSE WHO ARE MINISTERS The objective of this lesson is to emphasize the sacred responsibility of ministers to glorify God in all aspects of their service, to remain accountable before Him, and to maintain unity and reverence in ministry. It seeks to address the question of who keeps ministers in line when they stray and shows that ultimately it is the Lord Himself who corrects, judges, and restores His servants. THE PRIESTHOOD OF THOSE WHO ARE MINISTERS Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this lesson is to emphasize the sacred responsibility of ministers to glorify God in all aspects of their service, to remain accountable before Him, and to maintain unity and reverence in ministry. It seeks to address the question of who keeps ministers in line when they stray and shows that ultimately it is the Lord Himself who corrects, judges, and restores His servants. Synopsis: Pastor Marcos Marrero uses Malachi 2 as the foundation for exploring the priesthood and accountability of ministers. He begins by raising the question: “Who ministers to the ministers?” Through personal experience and biblical teaching, he highlights the dangers of division among church leaders, particularly when disagreements escalate into public opposition rather than private prayer and encouragement. James 3 reminds ministers that those who teach God’s Word are held to a higher standard and face stricter judgment. Malachi warns that when ministers fail to give glory to God’s name, even their blessings may turn into curses. Pastor Marcos stresses that theological disagreements should not result in tearing down fellow ministers, for all knowledge of Scripture is partial, and truth should be taught in love, not in rivalry. The role of the minister, he explains, is to keep knowledge, teach truth, and turn people from sin—not from one another. When truth is proclaimed reverently and in love, blessings of peace, equity, and life flow into the ministry. Conversely, when ministers deviate from God’s ways, the Lord Himself brings correction, either through repentance, intercession by the people, or ultimately removal if the servant refuses to return. Finally, Pastor Marcos emphasizes that God’s people and leaders alike must focus on glorifying His name. When this becomes the priority, discernment is restored, unity is strengthened, and the anointing flows once more like the oil of Psalm 133—bringing life and blessing forevermore. Inspired Teaching: Malachi 2:1 “And now, O priests, this commandment is for you.” In this lesson I aim to deal with this question: Who ministers to the ministers? Or from a different perspective we could ask, who keeps the ministers in line? I’ve met and dealt with many different pastors in the many years that I have been serving the Lord, and I have dealt with situations where there was clear and present differences of opinion in regards to the way a certain outreach was handled. A national ministry had rented a large auditorium in the city and asked for the local churches to help them in their outreach to the community, and our church was one of the ones that volunteered to help: it was a two night event. As I was walking toward the auditorium that Friday night I was met by a few local pastors, and I knew one of them. They were protesting this ministry’s presence in the city, and they were handing out flyers discrediting that ministry. Almost in shock I asked him what was going on, for this was a very reputable and sincere ministry that we had helped before. The protesting pastor just told me that he disagreed with some of their theology and therefore he reserved the right to protest against those that he disagreed with. I remember thinking that independence is a great thing, but what happens when it is turned against those who by definition are supposed to be one body and of one mind and purpose? The Lord has very strong words that govern those who are called to be His ministers. James 3:1-2 “My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things…” James tells us right at front, that those who are called to teach God’s Word will be judged by a different and more stringent standard than someone who doesn’t, and then he adds that we all stumble, meaning that there is a price to pay for the privilege of serving in a ministry that proclaims the Gospel of truth. Malachi 2:2 “If you will not hear (God’s commandment for those who minister), and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name, says the Lord of hosts, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings, yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.” In verse two we see that what James was talking about is taking place. A curse had fallen upon their blessings, the blessings that are in store for those who minister to the Lord. That curse had landed on them because they failed in their most basic requirement of ministry, and that is, to give glory to My name, their ministry failed to give the glory to the Lord. Does it give glory to the name of the Lord if I put my fellow minister down when he stumbles? Let’s just say that it is an honest theological disagreement that separates us, does it bring glory to the name of the Lord if I oppose him openly when he tries to minister? Here is what I see, if we all stumble in many things like James says, and we do, and it is also clear from Scripture that we know only in part, so how can I go into open opposition of my fellow minister with whom I disagree, when we are both limited in our understanding of Scripture to begin with? Malachi 2:10 “Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another by profaning the covenant of the fathers? There is a difference between disagreeing and being disagreeable. If my brother believes that his ministry which is based on his understanding of Scripture, is the way that he should minister, then why should I oppose him just because his ministry is not compatible with what my understanding of Scripture is for my ministry. If the aim of my ministry is to bring glory to the name of Jesus, then I can bring more glory to the name of Jesus if I just pray for my fellow minister’s ministry in private instead of opposing his ministry in public. After all Jesus is Lord of both ministries and only in Him is all the fullness of knowledge. Malachi 2:7 “For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.” There are honest theological disagreements and there are misrepresentations of the truth that are pervasive in many ministries. It is my job as a minister of the Word of God, to point the believers to the knowledge of the truth so that by their knowledge of the truth they can be made free. But I do not have to tear down another man’s ministry to teach the truth, for the truth stands by itself. And if I teach the truth in love, in the hope of helping my fellow ministers to build up their churches with knowledgeable servants whose focus is on the things that they as a body agree, and thereby encourage one another to gain knowledge for the purpose of building up the church, instead of gaining knowledge for the purpose of tearing it apart, then that is a ministry that brings all the glory to the Lord. When we do that we are just doing what we are suppose to do. Malachi 2:6 “The law of truth was in his mouth, and injustice was not found on his lips. He walked with Me in peace and equity, and turned many away from iniquity.” Here is how we can bring glory to the name of the Lord, by turning people away from iniquity, and not from one another. And notice the blessings attached with such a ministry, the blessings of peace and equity that follow the walk of teaching God’s truth in love. Malachi 2:5 “My covenant was with him, one of life and peace, and I gave them to him that he might fear Me; so he feared Me and was reverent before My name.” To have a heart for ministry is to have the heart of God. When we minister the heart of God to His people, we are ministering His life and His peace into the hearts of His people. We do not have to fear the curse when we are walking in His truth; we do not have to fear man when we are proclaiming His truth in love. As long as we remain reverent before His name in the full knowledge that that is what our true ministry is: To lift Him up so that He can draw all men unto Himself, then we walk in peace knowing that we are in His covenant and under His blessings and favor. So, then who is the one who keeps the ministers in line when they get out of line? Malachi 2:8-9 “But you have departed from the way; you have caused many to stumble at the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi, says the Lord of Hosts. Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base before all the people, because you have not kept My ways but have shown partiality in the law.” It is the Lord’s church, and it is in His ministry that we are all servants. He is the head of the church and when His servants deviate from the truth of their calling, not taking the commandments of the Lord for their ministry to heart, then the Lord’s curse against them goes into effect and their ministry becomes void of the anointing, and there is nothing worse than a preacher without the anointing, that is pretty much what the definition of contemptible is. If there is spiritual life left in that ministry, God will move in the hearts of the people to pray for their minister who has gone straight; if there is spiritual life left in that minister, he will repent and will be restored. If there is no spiritual life left in that ministry then they will both be gone, but if there is spiritual life left in that ministry and they pray for their minister who has gone straight and he does not repent, then the Lord will remove him and replace him with someone new. Malachi 3:7 “Yet from the days of your fathers you have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you…” But the key here is swift repentance, as soon as the anointing begins to falter, like the oil running low in an oil lamp, that is the time for prayers of intercession to be offered up immediately on behalf of that ministry and for those who are the ministers, do not wait until the lamp goes out. Malachi 3:16 “Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listen and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and who meditate on His name.” It is hard saying this, but sometimes the people get the type of ministers that they deserve. But once the fear of the Lord enters into the heart of the congregation and they realize how much is at stake, if they pray, God will hear them if they meditate in giving glory to the Lord’s name. Malachi 3:18 “Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.” Once the focus is put in the proper place, that is to bring all the glory to the Lord’s name, whether you are a minister or a congregant, immediately the spiritual eyes of that ministry are opened and the ability to discern between the good and the bad is restored. And then that ministry or minister once again begins to flow with God’s precious anointing and they all become one in the unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace. Psalm 133:1-3 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. Inspired Teaching: John 13:10 “Jesus said to him, ‘He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.’” For those of us who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, Jesus declares us to be completely clean. A little maintenance is required, which is symbolized by the washing of our feet. The idea here is that if we take a shower and step out on a dirty floor our feet will get dirty again. We are washed completely clean with the blood of Jesus, but we still live and come in contact with this contaminated world every day. John 15:3 “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.” Two critical things that we need to know are revealed in our opening text in the action of having our feet washed: First; even though we are completely clean we need to repent on a regular basis because of our interactions with a contaminated world. Second: it exposes a hidden spiritual enemy, whom if it’s not dealt with will betray us in our time of need. John 13:17 “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” Having our feet washed or washing someone’s else feet can be a humbling experience if done with the right spiritual understanding. When Peter saw that Jesus was washing the other disciple’s feet, he refused to let Jesus wash his feet. It was common back then to have the lowest of slaves wash the feet of the guest. Peter saw the act as too demeaning for Jesus to do. John 13:8 “Peter said to Him, ‘You shall never wash my feet!’ Jesus answered him, ‘If I do not wash you, you have no part with me.’” Wow! This teaching was so important to Jesus that He told Peter; if you do not let me do it, you are out! To which Peter replied then wash me completely, but as Jesus told him; you are already bathed by the Words I’ve spoken to you. What is so important about having our feet washed? John 13:2-4 “And supper being ended (or during supper), the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God, rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.” Please notice that the word: supper being ended; can also be translated: during supper; so that the washing of the feet is part of the Holy Communion liturgy. The gospel of John is the only gospel that mentions the washing of the feet as part of the Holy Communion ceremony. John is giving to us insight into the spiritual revelation hidden here, that will help us overcome when we are weak and sick because of our failure to discern the Lord’s body. 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 “For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.” Worth repeating here: John 13:17 “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” The disciples did not have a clue that there was a traitor among them. It was during the washing of their feet that the disciples received the revelation of what the devil was up to in their midst. 2 Kings 4:27 “Now when she came to the man of God at the hill, she caught him by the feet, but Gehazi came near to push her away. But the man of God said, ‘Let her alone; for her soul is in deep distress, and the Lord has hidden it from me, and has not told me.’” Why the feet? Seems like the deep mysteries are revealed by the grasping or washing of the feet. Isaiah 52:6-7 “Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He who speaks: ‘Behold it is I.’ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” This is a prophecy about Jesus the Messiah of Israel revealing Himself to His disciples as their Savior, the promised One: ‘Behold it is I.’ And the introduction of His disciples to the era of God’s grace that they were to proclaim to all the world through His church: ‘Your God reigns!’ It was at this moment that the last Adam regained the dominion that the first Adam had lost. It is the hour when the Messiah told His disciples: Drink, this is My blood which is shed for you all! Matthew 26:27-28 “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ‘Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.’” The climatic hour when the Gospel of peace is finally revealed, through humility and not pride. John 13:13-15 “You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, Your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.” This mighty and most powerful gospel is demonstrated by the lowliest of acts—the washing of dirty feet—Jesus had to carry all the sins of mankind to the cross so that they could die there with Him on the cross. He wore a crown of thorns symbolizing His kingship over the curse so He could do away with, not only the curses, but the consequences of them. Jesus then rose from the dead on the third day, but the curses and their consequences remained dead and buried - all of them, removed once and for all from all those who have been redeemed from the curse of the law. HALLELUJAH! Galatians 3:13-14 “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” In this gospel of peace we do not only receive forgiveness of sins, but also receive deliverance from the consequences of our sins and our ancestor’s sins. We see in 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 that when we fail to discerned “not discerning the Lord’s body” is the reason that many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. So, what are we missing? Perhaps what we are missing is the discernment of the symbolism of the washing of the feet. Worth repeating again: John 13:17 “If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.” Luke 22:15 “Then He said to them, ‘With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.’” if we have spiritual discernment of what He was teaching us through the acts symbolized in the Holy Communion and the washing of the disciples feet: “Blessed are you if you do them”, for the joy that was set before Him, Jesus endured the death of all the curses placed upon His body on the cross that we might be delivered from them after His resurrection from the dead. Matthew 28:9 “And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, ‘Rejoice!’ So they came and held Him by the feet and worshipped Him.” Jesus promised His followers that He would die and rise from the dead on the third day, so where were His apostles on the third day? Hiding! Too traumatize after seeing their Lord brutally murdered. Why was it that only women showed up on the third day on the grave site? They saw His brutal death as well, didn’t they? May I suggest that the women really believed that Jesus was going to Jerusalem to die as He told His disciples, and were mentally prepared for His death when they witnessed His death on the cross—so they were expecting His resurrection as well—while the male disciples did not fully understand the promise of His death and resurrection. Matthew 26:12-13 “For in pouring out this fragrant oil on My body, she did it (to prepare Me) for my burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” ‘Behold it is I.’ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ Isaiah 52:6-7 HALLELUJAH! Clearly the feet represent the preaching of the gospel which proclaims the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the blessings of His salvation to us, which includes not only salvation, but deliverance, healing and restoration as well. Psalm 23:4-5 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.” Jesus knew that His brutal death on the cross would cause trauma on those not discerning that after death came the resurrection. But the promise is that Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil. When Jesus washed His disciple’s feet He was preparing them to receive the spiritual discernment that would lead them into the understanding that death is just a shadow that cannot hurt them and it should not be feared. That is why the women came and held Him by the feet and worshipped Him, they were ready because they were expecting Him to rise from the dead. The power of this Covid 19 pandemic that we are experiencing resides in the spirit of fear that is behind it. I believe that to dispel this spirit of fear, we need to incorporate the washing of each other’s feet to our Holy Communion liturgy, especially for those who have been gripped by the stronghold of fear, whether they were infected by the virus or not; the fear of it is just as deadly. Psalm 25:14-15 “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him (not the pandemic), and He will show them His covenant (bread, wine and washing of the feet). My eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He shall pluck my feet out of the net (of fear).” Behind every satanic plot lies the spirit of pride, followed by fear and confusion. You break the spirit of pride and everything else falls down like a house of cards. We break the spirit of pride by participating in the lowest of all acts, the washing of someone’s feet. I know that many in the church have been impacted by this spirit of fear caused by this pandemic, but this spirit of fear has been around way before this pandemic began and the Lord is exposing it now, for He is getting His church ready for His soon return. If not in the church, you can do this at home: Have communion with your loved ones and/or friends, and after partaking of the bread and the wine wash each other’s feet as an acknowledgment of the fullness of the covenant that we are under, instituted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Himself. These visions, rooted in Israel’s seventy-year exile, highlight how disobedience to God’s commands led to judgment, while restoration required repentance and returning to God. The second vision introduces four horns—powers that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem—representing demonic strongholds established through human rebellion. In response, God reveals four craftsmen, symbolizing the apostolic anointing, who are empowered to dismantle these horns and terrify the forces of darkness. The horns themselves are likened to the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19–21), categorized into four areas: perversion, division, false religion, and malfunction, all driven by selfish ambition. The teaching connects these visions to the unfolding of Revelation’s four horsemen—the white horse of deception, the red horse of war, the black horse of economic control, and the pale horse of death—arguing that we are living in these prophetic days. Just as God restored Israel after exile, believers today are called to return to the Lord, walk in the light of truth, and experience deliverance through Christ’s finished work. The apostolic foundation of the church, rooted in Christ the Chief Cornerstone, empowers believers to overcome darkness and stand ready for the rapture at the culmination of these apocalyptic events. Inspired Teaching: Zechariah 1:20 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.” In the second vision that God revealed to Zechariah we are given a unique insight into the realm of spiritual warfare from an Old Testament perspective. It is my belief that all six of Zechariah’s visions are intricately connected to the prophecy in the book of Revelation about the four horseman of the Apocalypse that God had appointed to be revealed to those of us who are alive during the end of this age. Zechariah 1:8 “I saw by night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse, and it stood among the myrtle trees in the hollow; and behind him were horses: red, sorrel, and white.” In his first vision Zechariah sees horses of four different colors that the Lord sent to walk to and from throughout the earth. These different color horses are symbolic of the watchers that keep watch over the affairs of men and their relationship with God’s people here on the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” If we understand the underpinning of Zechariah’s first vision we will be able to make better sense, not only of Zechariah’s second vision as it pertains to spiritual warfare, but about the spiritual warfare that is going on right now, for we are presently living in the days of the unveiling of the four horseman of the book of Revelation. Zechariah 1:11 “So they answered the Angel of the Lord, who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, ‘We have walked to and from throughout the earth, and behold, all the earth is resting quietly.’” The first thing that we need to recognize in order to make sense of the visions is that they revolved around the city of Jerusalem. For seventy years the Lord had removed the Jewish people from the land of Judah and from the city of Jerusalem, to give the land the Sabbath day of rest that they owed the land. When Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he instructed them that when they entered into the land that the Lord was giving them, that they were suppose to give the land a year of rest every seven years. No sowing and no reaping, they had to trust the Lord to provide for them a double harvest during the six years that would last them for the whole seventh year that they were not supposed to be tilling the land. They violated the law of the Sabbath rest for the land, for four hundred and ninety years consecutively, so that they owed the land seventy years of rest: 490 / 7 = 70 years. When the time for God’s judgment fell upon them, God used the nations of the earth to remove them from the land and to keep them out of the land for the seventy years that they owed. Zechariah 1:12 “Then the Angel of the Lord answered and said, ‘O Lord of hosts, how long will You not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You were angry these seventy years?’” Zechariah, in his first vision is privy to an event that is taking place in the spiritual realm; he sees horses and asked what they mean. After he is told that they are the watchers that watch over the affairs of men, the Angel of the Lord speaks to God in front of Zechariah, reminding God that the seventy years are now over. God answers the Angel of the Lord with good and comforting words in verse thirteen. Then the reason is revealed as to why the Lord had given Zechariah a ringside seat, if you will, to what was going on in the spiritual realm, after he is told that he is to prophesy, within the context of all that he had witnessed, to the Jews that were in exile. Zechariah 1:14-15 “So the angel who spoke with me said to me, "proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal. I am exceedingly angry with the nations at ease; for I was a little angry, and they helped—but with evil intent.’” The Lord reveals that He is angry with the nations that He used to remove the Jews from Jerusalem and from the land of Judah, because of their evil intent while He was using them against His own people. As always the Lord’s judgments against the nations of the earth have to do with how they treated or mistreated His own people. Remember what God told Abraham when He entered into a covenant with him? I will bless those who bless you and I will curse those who curse you. Then Zechariah proceeded to proclaim to the Jews of his day that God was restoring them back into the land from where they had been exiled for seventy years, and that God would again choose Jerusalem as its capitol. Which leads us right into the second vision that deals with how the Lord removes the demonic strongholds that Satan placed over the nation of Israel, when he took advantage of them, while they were in exile for their disobedience to the commandments that God gave them through Moses. Zechariah 1:18 “Then I raised my eyes and looked, and there were four horns.” Zechariah’s first vision began at night, which is symbolic of the spiritual darkness that was all around the nation of Israel at that time. In the second vision the Lord is revealing to Zechariah the source of the spiritual darkness that is all around him. Zechariah 1:19 “And I said to the angel who talked with me, ‘What are these?’ So he answered me, ‘These are the horns (powers) that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.’” When God’s hand of blessing is over a people, there is absolutely nothing that the devil can do against them, for our God is Almighty. The enemy knows that, as long as God’s protection is over His people, he is powerless against them, so he is always at work to temp those who belong to God into rebelling against God. Obedience to God always brings enlightenment, and disobedience to God always brings darkness. Zechariah 1:2-3 “The Lord has been very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: Return to Me,’ says the Lord of hosts, ‘And I will return to you,’ says the Lord of hosts.” The Lord was very angry with the fathers because of their disobedience to the commandment of God in regards to their obligation to give the land a year of rest every seventh year. Now that their debt is paid in full, for they have been out of the land for seventy years, they can be restored back to their land if they return to the Lord first, and acknowledge that without God in their midst they are in darkness. Zechariah 1:20-21 “Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen. And I said, ‘What are these coming to do?’ So he said, ‘These are the (four) horns (powers) that scattered Judah, so that no one could lift up his head; but the craftsmen are coming to terrify them, to cast out the horns of the nations that lifted up their horn against the land of Judah to scatter it.’” In warfare whoever controls the high ground has the advantage over their adversary; because of their disobedience to the Word of God Israel was put at a disadvantage where they could not lift up their heads and have a clear picture of their spiritual condition. Now that they are returning to God, the Lord sends them four craftsmen or carpenters to dismantle the demonic infrastructure that prevents them from regaining the upper hand, the lifting up of their heads. Notice the language that the angel uses that describes how these demonic hordes will be terrified by these four craftsmen before they are cast out. What are these four craftsmen symbolic of? 2 Corinthians 12:12 “Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.” The four craftsmen are symbolic of the apostolic anointing! The apostolic anointing is the force that God brings about to dismantle the four horns or powers that keep God’s children in darkness. What are the four horns symbolic of? Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburst of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God (which is light, and those who practice those things are still in darkness).” The four horns are symbolic of the works of the flesh! PERVERSION: Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness and Lewdness. DIVISION: Hatred, Contentions, Envy and Jealousies. FALSE RELIGION: Idolatry, Sorcery, Dissensions and Heresies. MALFUNCTION: Outbursts of Wrath, Murder, Drunkenness and Revelries. At the center ofcourse is Selfish Ambition the soul motivator before we became born-again. I took the liberty of dividing them into four categories that revolve around the self motivated soul. The number seventeen is the seventh prime number. Zechariah’s first vision is recorded in chapter one, beginning in verse seven to verse seventeen. A clear double emphasis that the Holy Spirit reveals to us to show us how important to our present day Zechariah’s visions are. Also, all of us have sixteen great-great-grandparents in our family tree, and if you form a pyramid with self sitting on top of it, with two parents directly below, four grandparents below them, eight great-grandparents below them and sixteen great-great-grandparents as the foundation of the pyramid, it shows how our soul is affected by the iniquity of the fathers which is with whom the Lord was angry in Zechariah 1:2. 0 = 1 Self 0-0 = 2 Parents 0-0-0-0 = 4 Grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 8 Great-grandparents 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 = 16 Great-great-grandparents. Exodus 20:5-6 “You shall not bow down to them nor serve (worship) them (idols). For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me (idolatry is seen by God as hatred towards Him), but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.” We are living in the age of grace, and the church has been established on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets, with our Lord Jesus Christ as the Chief Cornerstone. The time for our redemption is now, for our sin debt that we owed God has been fully paid for by our Savior on the cross. As the Lord spoke during Zechariah’s day, that if we return to Him He will return to us. We are living in the days right now when those that call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. But remember also that with our salvation comes deliverance from the forces of darkness that kept us bound. It is the apostolic anointing that terrifies the devil, for through its revelation we become empowered. Remember the words of Jesus, You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free! Yes, we are living in the days of the white horse, the antichrist, for there are many out there striving to deceive those of us who are the children of light. Yes, we are living in the days of the red horse, the days of war and terror as our Lord predicted. Yes there is a global economy being forged right now that is paving the way for a one world government, the black horse that will control all commerce and all of its financial transactions. The pale horse whose rider is death, followed closely by Hades, soon will be given power to bring war over one fourth of the earth. This is the conflict that will usher in the rapture of the church; let’s be ready for it. Zechariah 2:10/13 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! Using Jonah’s rebellion as an example, Pastor Marcos highlights that disobedience and stubbornness are akin to witchcraft and idolatry, leading one deeper into darkness until true repentance occurs. Spiritual warfare, then, is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual principalities, meaning believers must align their hearts with God’s merciful nature, even toward enemies. Hatred, bitterness, and focusing on the flesh indicate one is still in darkness, while love and mercy reflect the light of God. In application to the modern believer, Pastor Marcos shows that warfare requires discernment of God’s timing—knowing when He calls for mercy or judgment—and separating from those who deny the spiritual reality of warfare, as they represent false light. True victory comes from walking in the light, discerning the unseen spiritual realm, and ridding oneself of the hindrances that obstruct one’s walk with Christ. Ultimately, Pastor Marcos concludes that spiritual warfare is about more than confronting external forces—it is about aligning one’s soul with God’s will, obeying His timing, and receiving the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that believers may live in the fullness of His calling (Ephesians 1:17-18). Inspired Teaching: Jonah 2:8 “Those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs.” NIV Who could imagine that one simple verse of Scripture could pack so much truth. If you want a definition that will tell you the nuts and bolts of spiritual warfare, Jonah nailed it right on the head. There once a man that was brought to the altar where a well-known evangelist was praying for the people after a service and the man’s family told the evangelist that the family member they brought before him was troubled by a demon, the evangelist laid his hands on the man’s head and said: In the name of Jesus I command you to leave this man right now, to which the man that was being prayed for responded while pointing at his own head; you stay right there you hear. It was kind of funny when the evangelist told the story many years later; but in reality that is at the root of why so many Christians fail in their battles to conquer their demonic tormentors. All the spiritual warfare tools at your disposal are of no avail if your right hand is telling the enemy to leave, meanwhile your left hand is telling your enemy to stay. Jonah did not just stumble into this revelation by chance, it was revealed to him while dealing with the consequences of his disobedience to God. Jonah 2:2 “...I cried out to the Lord because of my affliction, and He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice.” Jonah had some issues that he needed to work out, and probably the most pressing of his issues was that he did not see eye to eye what the will of God was for his life. He was called to be a prophet, and when God sent him on an assignment that he personally disagreed with, he decided to go on a different direction. But even in his disobedience there was something that Jonah knew that perhaps many believers today do not know. And that is when they are in open rebellion to the will of God for their lives, in reality what they are actually doing is getting deeper into idolatry and witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.” The reason that Jonah said that those who cling to worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs was because that is exactly what he had done; he had rejected the Word of the Lord for him, and just like it cost Saul his kingship it almost cost Jonah his life. The difference between Jonah and Saul was that Jonah understood what his sin of rebellion had caused and he repented, but as far as king Saul was concern even to his bitter end he consulted a witch in his search for God. The king could not tell the difference between light and darkness. Jonah 2:9 “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.” There are two crucial points that we need to learn if we are going to be successful in spiritual warfare: Number one is repentance. Once our stubbornness and rebellion are exposed, we need to offer the sweet sacrifice of repentance and thanksgiving to the real God, the God that is convicting us by pointing out to us our sin. The second point is that it behooves us to recognize that Salvation can only come from God. Now stay with me, there is something deeper here that we need to understand because this is not as simple as we think it to be. In the spiritual realm there are only two forces at work that war against one another, light and darkness. You may say, well that is easy. Not so, especially when the creatures of darkness can transform themselves into something that they are not, creatures of light. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” After reading those three verses we realize that spiritual warfare is not as easy as recognizing the difference between day and night, is it? But here is the key, in the end their work will always be one of rebellion against the Word of God. Once Jonah realized that it was not hard for him to understand that repentance was more than being sorry for his rebellion but that it also required him to become obedient to the call of God; after all obedience is better than sacrifice. Now let us examine how was it that Jonah got into his predicament, in other words, why did he disobey God’s plan for his life to begin with? Jonah 4:1-2 “But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry. So he prayed to the Lord, and said, ‘Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm.’” Here Jonah really gets into what was really bothering him; God had called him to intercede for some really bad people and was told to go and preach to them that God was about to destroy them for the evil that they were perpetrating. Jonah, knowing that God is a merciful God who is full of compassion, One who relents from doing harm, thought that if he preached and they repented, that God would forgive them, and Jonah did not want that to happen and that is the reason why he fled to begin with. Here is the point that we need to glean and it comes from God’s very own perspective, not Jonah’s; Spiritual Warfare is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers! How can one be in the light of God’s mercy while wishing for the destruction of our fellow humans that walk in the darkness of this age? If God has been a merciful God to me, and He has, does He not want to show mercy also to my enemies who walk in darkness? What if He asks me to pray for those who have really hurt me? I know that He is a merciful God and that if I pray for them, and they repent, that He will forgive them immediately. But is that what I really want in my heart? Do I long for their pardon as much as God does? 1 John 2:9-10 “He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now (still in darkness). He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him (has been set free from idolatry. Zephaniah 1:3).” 1 John 4:20 “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” So far the two aspects of spiritual warfare that we are discussing have to do with light and darkness. And the question that we pose is, if Satan and his ministers can transform themselves into creatures of light, how can we know whether we are walking in the light of God’s truth or abiding in the darkness of this world without even knowing it? And the answer is clear, if our focus is on the flesh, what transpires through the agency of man, then we are still in darkness. But if our focus is on the unseen, on what is taking place behind the curtains if you will, then we are poised to receive the revelation that comes to those who are abiding in the light of the truth of the Word of God. Let me bring this down to our present-day reality and try to explain why understanding spiritual warfare is so critical for us in the here and now. 1 Timothy 3:1, 5 “But know this, that in the last days (our present time) perilous times will come...having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!” Here is what the light of the truth of the Word of God says, from such people that turn away. So that when it comes to spiritual warfare, people are not the cause of the problems that we are facing as it pertains to who our enemies are, but the people that deny the reality of the spiritual problems that we are facing, from them we are to stay away, simply because they represent the false light. You see if there is no hell, that means that there is no spiritual warfare, so that by hanging out with that crowd you are out of the game before it even starts. Jonah 1:9 “So he said to them, ‘I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.’” In chapter one Jonah is totally honest with his fellow shipmates about his circumstance and even tells them that they have to throw him overboard if they want to save their own lives. In the verse above he makes a bold declaration of who he is and of what he believes, it makes me wonder why was Jonah really fleeing from the will of God to begin with? Isaiah 36:20 “Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?” The king of Assyria was coming against Jerusalem one day, and he was bragging about his previous conquests and ended up insulting the Lord of Hosts. The king of Israel took those insulting words before the Lord and God sent an angel against the Assyrian camp and killed one hundred and eighty five thousand from his army in one night. The Assyrian king went back to Nineveh the capitol of Assyria where he was later killed. So that there was no love lost between these two people. So that the key for understanding spiritual warfare has to do with God’s timing. There is a time for war and there is a time for peace. Hanging around those who have already made up their minds before listening to the counsel of God in any given matter is a hindrance to those whose call is to battle against the forces of darkness that abide in the spiritual realm. Here are a few things that we should know about spiritual warfare: What is under God’s covering mercy today maybe under the wheels of God’s wrath tomorrow. That which is expected of us today may not be what is expected of us tomorrow. A life boat is only good when a ship is sinking, the rest of the time is an eye sore that occupies space. Real light will always expose the works of darkness. Knowing when it is God’s time for wrath or for mercy will insure that we do what is expected of us today, even if it is totally different than that which was expected from us yesterday. Knowing when a ministry ship is sinking or stuck on a sandbar will lead us inevitably to the life boat that will preserve us from spiritual harm. That is what walking in the light means, not stumbling over the works of darkness. If the essence of spiritual warfare is for me to rid myself of the things that hinder my walk with Jesus, so that I can fulfill His calling for my life, then knowing my position within His timing for my life is critical, especially if I am to know when I am ready from His perspective to either move, stay, or to advance into a previously unknown position that He wants me to occupy. Ephesians 1:17-18 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Previous Next Home

Inspired Teaching: Zechariah 2:5 “For I, says the Lord, will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.” The ministry of anointing with oil is one of the most mysterious things that we can find in the Bible, yet it is one of the most powerful. The anointing oil can be applied to kings, to priests, to sacraments, to places, and as we see in our opening text, to cities as well. In the case of Jerusalem, we cannot see it with our carnal eyes, but God has anointed that city and if we could look through the eyes of the Spirit, we would see the anointing that covers Jerusalem as a wall of fire that surrounds her and covers her with God’s mighty protection. Isaiah 10:27 “It shall come to pass in that day that his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, and his yoke from your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.” But more important of all, as far as we humans are concern, the anointing with oil has the power to deliver us from the burden of transgression and the yoke of slavery to sin. James 5:14-15 “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” What is the mystery of the anointing with oil besides what might be obvious to us? I spent many a times praying for people who were in need of deliverance from demonic strongholds, and one of the many things that I learned in my dealings with those oppressive demonic entities, was how demons perceive humanity and our physical realm from their underworld perspective, we need to remember that they live in a totally different dimension than we do. I believe that when demons look at us humans what they mainly see is an aura around us that may differ in intensity as well as in color, and that is how they perceive the human condition. Since we humans are two thirds spirit and one third human, for we are made of spirit, soul, and body, what demons mainly see when they look at us, is our own spiritual orb that surround us. So that if we are walking under Christ’s anointing, and since Christ means Anointed One, when a demon looks at us under the anointing, they cannot tell whether it is us or Jesus Christ who they are facing. Luke 10:19-20 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions (demonic entities), and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.” I believe that what Jesus is teaching us in Luke 10 is that as born-again believers, born again means to be born of the Spirit of God, there is an aura around us that all spirits recognize and that they must submit to. In other words, Jesus is telling us not to rejoice in the fact that we have power over the demonic spirits, but rather, that we rejoice in the anointing that is over us and that covers us, because of our position in the spiritual realm due to the Anointed One dwelling in us through His Spirit. Psalm 105:15 “Saying, ‘Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.’” So that there is a de-facto anointing that personally covers all born again believers and that all demonic entities must recognize. But the ministry of the anointing with oil varies greatly and the greater our understanding of how it works the more powerful and effective that we can become in our ministries, and the better that we can protect ourselves, our families, and our properties from the evil one. Let us take a look at a few of the many applications of the anointing with oil. Let us begin with the anointing for peace. Jeremiah 29:7 “And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.” One thing that I do recommend for churches to do, and individual believers as well, is to take oil and anoint the places where your city begins and ends, what the Bible calls the city gates or entrances. The way that we did it in the past is to go east and west, and north and south of the city, and pour anointing oil on the entrances of our city and pray for God’s anointing of peace to dwell in that city where we live. Then we proceed to anoint our property lines, by pouring anointing oil all around the perimeter of what we own or rent, the place where we live, and we pray for God’s protection over it and ask for His peace to abide there as well. Why is that important? Romans 8:21 “Because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Since we, the children of God, are walking under the liberating covering of God’s anointing that preserves us from the corruption of this world, we can proclaim liberty over the part of the creation that we do occupy. How does that work, spiritually speaking? 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks (roams) about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Since wicked spirits tune in to areas that emanate gloominess and darkness, where spiritual disorder and chaos reigns, and since they roam about looking for innocent victims that they can lure into their traps without repercussions, it is important for the believers that inhabit those areas to anoint with oil those same areas that they occupy. Spirits can instantly discern the places where believers have prayed for God’s peace to reign, and if they anointed the places where they prayed with oil, that anointing oil in the spiritual realm, shines like a mighty fire from God that warns those malevolent sprits to watch out, for there is swift retribution coming their way if they trespass over the anointing that covers those areas that believers have placed under their anointing. Is the same for our homes, where we have anointed our boundaries with anointing oil, for it will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst. We are also to anoint our home with oil both inside and out, now why do we need to do that? Deuteronomy 23:14 “For the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you.” Just like the anointing oil shines in the spiritual realm to drive away predators, it also serves as a welcome sign for God’s holy angels that also move around the earth to do God’s bidding. But even more precious than that, God takes pleasure in walking is our midst during our times of repose, and a home or a room where the anointing oil has been placed indicates to our Lord that this place has been reserved for His presence, and that He is always welcome there. And then we are also to anoint ourselves personally as a sign of gratitude before the Lord, to show not only to ourselves, but to show others as well, and to show God Himself, that we will always belong to Him, our entire person, spirit soul and body are His habitation. Isaiah 65:16 “So that he who blesses himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he who swears in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from My eyes.” What is it in us that is hidden from God’s eyes? And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. The true anointing, for that is what we bless ourselves with while here in the earth, covers all of our infirmities and sins, the burden of sin and the yoke of oppression that is still in our mortal flesh and are driven away by the anointing oil that we bless ourselves with. Mark 6:13 “And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.” The anointing oil preserves us until the day of redemption. Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Jesus the Anointed One walked about doing good and searching for those who were oppressed by the devil, and then He set them all free, for God was with Him. 2 Corinthians 1:21 “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God.” The same God that anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power to drive out all the workers of iniquity, is the same God that has anointed us in Jesus Christ His anointed One in order for us to drive out all the workers of iniquity in our sphere of influence as well. And it is through the power of His anointing oil that the yoke will be destroyed. Pray as to what type of oil the Lord wants you to use, I usually get extra virgin olive oil which I can buy in the market and is not too expensive for me, but you can use whatever is available to you and that you believe it is acceptable before God. Get the oil, bring it before the Lord and ask Him to bless it, after it is blessed do not use that consecrated oil for nothing else but for anointing purposes. Previous Next Home

Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Opening scripture: Proverbs 2:5 KJV 5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. Notice the first word in this verse, ‘then’. What must we do to understand the fear of the Lord and to find His knowledge. Let’s start at verse 1: Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide (hoard, reserve) my commandments with thee; The Holy Bible is the Words of God. In order to understand them, you need to receive them. How do you receive them? By confessing and acknowledging them as Romans 10:9 tells us. Romans 10:9 KJV 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. We can see a pattern in Proverbs 2. First, receive, then hide or hoard/reserve those words. How do you hide or hoard/reserve the words in the Bible? By spending time reading the Words of God asking God out loud what do they mean. Proverbs 2:2 KJV 2 So that thou incline (to prick the ears, hearken, attend) thine ear unto wisdom, and apply (stretching or spreading out) thine heart (feelings, intellect) to understanding; When we receive, confess His Words, then hide them, we are inclining or paying attention to those words and applying (stretching or spreading out) to our heart or feelings and thoughts that lean towards understanding. He continues in Proverbs 2:3-4 KJV 3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge (understanding), and liftest up thy voice for understanding (intelligence, reason); 4 If thou seekest (strive after) her as silver, and searchest (hide self) for her as for hid treasures; The author of this proverb tells us more about how to cry out and seek after His Words. He tells us to ‘strive after her as silver’. If you found a hoard of silver, the first thing you do is don’t tell anyone. The next thing is that you start to sell it quietly. And you do this with silver, gold or any special treasure you find. You hide it from others because others will then become jealous and possibly try to kill you. His Word is like a treasure that we need to seek, find, and hide in our hearts. THEN… Proverbs 2:5 KJV 5 Then shalt thou understand (separate mentally) the fear (morally reverence) of the Lord, and find (attain) the knowledge (awareness) of God. Here, back at our opening scripture, this is where we find understanding of God. We separate ourselves from the way the world operates and operate through His Words spiritually. To do this, we do this by faith with works. Psalm 91:1 KJV He that dwelleth in the secret place (covering) of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. The way to show faith is by action. Action is when you take time to read His Words. Get to know His Words and apply His Words. And you do this in the secret place or another way to say this, this is where you put on God’s covering over yourself. Once the separation from the world takes place and you are under His covering, then you become aware of God. You obtain His knowledge over you. Yes, His knowledge. You start to see things differently and He keeps you from fall for the pitfalls laid as a trap for you. Proverbs 28:10 KJV 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. In essence, His Word is: Psalm 119:105 KJV 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. As you continue in Proverbs 2:9-12 KJV: 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path. 10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; 11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: 12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; You become delivered from the way of the evil man. The way the world operates, which is done through manipulation and sin you avoid because His Words are your treasure. And um you know it's like every night I would tell the Lord even though he passed away. And um so um anyways, just to let you know that. Um, so, um, Monday at 3:00 a.m., uh, I had a dream and I had a dream that it was, uh, my family, we were standing in the backyard and it was funny because it was super sunny out and it was like, it was like the 70s, 80s, how I remembered the backyard because of the crab grass we used to have. And it was super sunny out. I mean, extremely, it was really interesting how bright it was. It was almost, you know, you couldn't really. And there was a gentleman standing there. We were standing around him and he was talking about Falling Springs, Big Bear, saying that he just put some money down on some property and that he got a cabin there. And it's interesting because my dad, we used to go to Falling Springs and there was this particular cabin our family used to uh stay at and he just loved Big Bear. And um so we're standing around in the group and um I was on the outside and um on the side of the house here comes walking my dad and I I kind of look I what that's my dad you know and I was really excited you know to see my dad and uh he he was walking like the look on his face was like he was just really really deep in thought. He was like, "Wow." You know, he had that look and he walked around and he came over and he bypassed the family and he sat on the in about the middle of the backyard on the grass Indian style with his arms like this and he just sat there and I left the group and I went over. I was so thrilled to see my dad and I sat down the same way and um my my head was perfect right where his neck was right here and I was oh dad you know was doing that you know and when I reached leaned in to do that I went like that and my skin felt his skin and I felt his warmth and I felt his whiskers and I even smelled his dial soap and my dad's from the south so he was dial soap on his hair. He didn't believe in shampoo. So he always had this dial soap smell and um and you know he was just so in other words I I had it was like all of a sudden I had my five senses. I could smell him. I could feel him. And he was really really there. I was sitting with my dad and he put his arm around me like this. He he never looked at me. He just looked straight ahead and he put his arm around me like this and he just kind of, you know, held me close and and I kind of straightened my neck up and all of a sudden I I I felt uh his his mouth right here and he said to me, I heard his voice and he said to me, he said, "You are not Thank you. You were not worthless and you were not dumb. And I mean he was just said it with such meaning to me and and then he said something really interesting. He said just staring and I looked at him. I saw the side of his face and I looked at him. I was I was really surprised. And he was just like, I'm a dumb dumb dumb daddy. And you know, I guess because of the way my dad was raised with verbal abuse, he was always a macho type man, you know, and he was pretty um verbally, I guess, abusive before the Lord got a hold of him. And it took many years, but I saw God change my dad from a really verbally abusive person to a from a wild man to a really really really loving man. And um and so um I guess maybe that's where I got some of that, but I think most of it too was my drug and alcohol use. I was just the the black sheep in the family. I was a lot like my dad. I was very wild like he was when he was younger. But anyways, um um to make a long story short, I guess um won't take too much time. Um I woke up and I just I sat straight up in bed cuz I was in shock. I needed to hear that so desperately and I had no idea. And you know, but it's true. I did think that I was, you know, unworthy and and I was worthless and I was dumb. And I mean, I would hear that tape play dumb especially all the time. if I couldn't get something, you're dumb. You're not like everybody else. You're stupid, you know. And it was constant. And um so my dad told me that I really needed to hear that. And I was just sobbing and sobbing and sobbing. And it's funny because the night uh the night before that that day, my son had got back from snowboarding. My mother and my brother had the kids uh all weekend. They were really tired. And uh and my brother was passed out. Everybody was passed out. So, I had gotten up going to the bathroom and I had to put a towel, folded towel over my face because I was sobbing so heavy. And um and then I left the bathroom and I'm standing in the middle of the hallway and I'm like, I want to turn on all the lights. I want to get everybody up and I want to tell them I saw my dad and my this is what my dad said to me, you know. And then I I was standing there and the Holy Spirit said to me, "This is for you and you alone." And and then he told me something else. When I saw my dad walk come from the backyard, you know, from the side of the house into the backyard, I was in such surprise to see him. Was totally unexpected that. But I do remember hearing a voice saying something. And the Holy Spirit reminded me and said, "He came a long long long way to tell you this." And I just and I back in the bathroom, you know. See? Anyways, then I finally contained myself somewhat. I went back to bed and I thought, "Oh, I'll probably never see him again." So, I tried real hard to go back to sleep and I couldn't. So, then I looked over at the clock. It was 3:00 a.m. And the Lord told me three means the Trinity and Father, Son, Holy Spirit. And uh and and you know, and then all of a sudden, I just felt this release. I felt like uh I was just uh something happened and you know I don't I don't feel I don't feel worthless and I know I'm not dumb and I needed to hear that and I just wanted to share how good the Lord is. Yeah. And oh, and I just want to say one more thing really quick. And then and then Monday night, I came to the service and there was a lot of stuff that Rod was saying, preaching that I was going, "Oh," and I was checking this off and I was checking that off and I was checking this off and it was just like other stuff that that I need to work on. You know, those other two were out of the way. Yeah, it was great. Praise God. like my first mentor in deliverance and stuff, you know, just just breaking me into that type of of of arena, you know, and he's a power he was a powerful man of God. But Ro's going to come up and share something concerning a prophecy. I believe it was black sheep of the family. I can't relate to that at all. Not not at all. Um, you know, when when uh when I was uh Friday night before I I was the Holy Spirit told me to make sure that to make sure that you were here. I He told me she needs this. She needs to hear it. you know, and and it is amazing how much God loves us, that he will go out of his way to prove to us, to show us how much he loves us. We're not rejected. He'll never reject us, you know, and and and it's it's it's really funny because, you know, the same thing happened to me with uh the the gentleman that I'm I'm I'm going to read his prophecy that that he wrote to uh uh the church of uh the body of Christ. Um he came over. I mean, this this guy, Chuck Pierce, is a is a he he prophesies to nations and and he is right on. He nails it right on the head, you know, and uh I I'll we could go late. Um, and when when we were in that when when we were at that conference in San Jose, the the the night before he prophesied over me and then um the next morning we, you know, it was it was the last it was the last uh day of the thing and it was only half day. I saw him come in the the the sanctuary and he belineed straight towards me. He just walked straight towards me and he shook he shook Fred's hand. He's looking at me, shaking Fred's hand, shaking Marcos's hand, and he hugged me, you know, he he's kind of a big guy. He just hugged me like, you know, I just I just melted and he said he said, "God, when I went to bed last night, God put you on my heart and he just wanted to show tell you how much he loves you." And I'm thinking, "Oh, that's really neat," you know, and all a sudden, you know, we're walking out and Freddy, did you hear that? Did you hear what he said? Do you understand that? I said, 'What do you mean? This guy's a he prophesies to nations and he God put you on his heart, you know, and and and when he hugged me, when he hugged me, it was so amazing because, you know, I was born and raised in church, you know, and and and my grandfather, he started, you know, 85 years ago, you know, and and and he was he was uh Marcos's mentor, you know, and and when he hugged me, that was the first time in my entire life that I truly felt the love of God. It was amazing. It was unbelievable. But yeah, I mean, we we need that every once again, you know, especially us black sheep, you know. Um, this is a this is a a prophecy that was uh uh we're on the his uh uh Gloria Zion's uh u email list and and he sent this uh yesterday and uh you know I I read about the first part of what he says and then I get here Linda you read the rest you know but when I started reading this this is what we are going through this was just confirmation after confirmation. This applies to a vision for Wilmington. It applies to Fred Marcos. It applies to everyone in here. And I mean, I start reading it and Linda is standing there. She I'm sitting there go, you know, dripping on the computer, you know, that I I won't do that. I promise. No, I shouldn't do that. I probably will. Um, the title is I am reinlisting my army again. I am breaking the power of passivity from my people. Go up. Go up again. Go up again. Go up again. Go up again. Oh man, the thing is cut off. Okay, I'll I'll add live. It says uh go up against again. The enemy has stopped you and numbed your spirit in the past season. I am anointing you to go up again. I am lifting man. It's cut off. I am lifting I'm lifting something under the piles of of defeats that have caused you to be quiet and passive. Though you have been buried with work and everyday life and and circumstances, I am removing the layers of sod and decay that have held you captive. Go up again. Go up again. Go up again. The wind is blowing in the trees. I am sending a sound in the tree treetops. Go up again, child. Come from behind. Catch up and go up again. I have brought you from behind and you shall hear the the the wind in the trees. The breeze will be your sign to go up again. Go up again. Get hold of your of your emotions and go up again. Even your enemy has mounted up again. I am sending a new wind. Catch the wind and go up again. This new wind will become your mantle. I am redefining your enemies. You will go up again. You will shout. This is my assignment now. This is what I am called to do. Though the enemy has advanced and made headway with his adverse wind, I am bringing you I am bringing you up to a new place to equip you. When you go up again, you will face your enemy with with my new wind. And the enemy will not win again. Even if you have fallen because the relationships have blocked of relationships or blocked supply or have been confused over your your purpose and vision. I say you will go up again. Catch the wind and go again. Reach down. Reach down to my power that is within. Catch the wind and go again. Reach down. Reach down. Reach down for new strength. I placed within. reach down, rise up, and go again. Though my people have been anointed before, the next the the next anointing, I am bringing my people in an anointing that will be known as your fear will laugh. This anointing will cause you to proceed to a new place of breakthrough. This anointing will cause your enemy to become alert against you, to rise up, become alert. I am allowing your enemy to surround you because I have a a strategy for you to go up again against the enemy. Hear the wind. Find your path in the midst of the fray and go up again. Victory is sure. Do not fear the quaking for it is a sign that I am getting ready to reach in. Pull up and reach down again. Even though the enemy and and legalism has risen in the land, I am causing a people to reach up, grab my hand, and stand up again. This is a nation that will quake. In the middle of the quaking, I am again breaking a open a seal of heaven that will cause earth to change drastically. Do not fear when the Lord shakes the foundation. Do not fear when it quakes. Do not fear when the Lord shakes the foundation. Do not fear when it quakes. For you were standing on unsure ground with an unstable future. But the shifting of the plates of the earth and the gifts of the earth for this age in this season will create a major shift in administr in administrative systems. The quaking will cause a different sound to arise in the peoples. A revolutionary sound is rising in the land. That sound will be heard and my and call many into place. Different peoples will align. The ethnos groups are aligning in the house of prayer. A new sound is arising in the church and there will be one man worshiping. Heaven is beginning to resound to earth's cry. This cry will get louder and louder until the enemy's voice is silenced for the season in the earth. There are unccurrens undercurrens flowing and there is confusion and workings in the midst of my plan. I say the enemy is working at work to attempt to stop that which I am sending forth in this hour. But I say that in the midst of an undercurrent, I'm creating a people who will stand above the swirl of the enemy's camp. I will ride on the wings of the wind. I will ride on the wings of the wind. Above the swirl of the enemy's camp, I will ride on the wings of the wind. I will ride on the wings of the wind. I will execute true justice. I will release mercy and compassion. Brother will rise up again with brother, sister with sister, and we will move out and possess this land. We will ride and possess this land. We will move and possess this land. We will move and possess this land. Generation with generation, old and the young will move as one. Old and the young will move as one. A new alignment is happening in cities. Do not accue Do not allow the accuser to accuse you over the past. Do not allow the accuser to stop you from moving forward. Do not allow the accuser to say, "In the past, you tried that and it didn't work. For I am bringing a new anointing that will create a new method and a new way for you to go. I am seeding the court of heaven and the court of earth will reflect that which is in heaven." This is a new measure of rule coming to my people. I am breaking the generational fear structure that robbed the a generation of boldness. I am removing a fear base. Fear has been passed from generation to generation, but three generations will rise again and catch this new wind to go up again. You will feel as if you have had surgery. For I will remove a root of fear so that that you can go up again. You will begin to say again the word of the Lord has come to me. Decree that the word of the Lord will come. Again the word will come. Not the word that heard that you've heard in the past but a word again. The word will come and you will say that I am hearing a God in heaven who is refreshing and giving me boldness again. The word will come again. The I am birthing the next dimension of revelation. You have endured and pressed through. So I will now come again. I am ready to bring my word. I am becoming zealous again. My zeal has arisen again. My fervor is rising in you again. My seed will prosper again. I am reinlisting my army again. From your past faith demonstrations, you have gained the right to be my in my army. Because of the cares of the world, you have left your post. I am calling you again to reinlist. Old men and old women will dance in the streets and isles of my places of gathering. A new call is coming and my people will prosper again. I'm calling forth again those that have gone forth in the past. I am putting them in my ranks again. I'm calling them in again. I'm fanning their flame again. For this is a day of reinlistment for the wind is blowing again because the wind is blowing again. I am reinlisting my people. I'm putting the staff in my in my people's hand again. The old men and the old women are now receiving the staff again. The old men and the old women will begin to dance in the streets with the young men and women and girls and boys. This will create a new rule of Zion. This will create a new rule and Zion will be established in the earth in a new way. Those who have gone before, stretch out your hands again. For I am putting a new staff in your hands and will cause you to hear my voice in a new way. I am redefining your call. The generation that's risen can dance in the streets and exhibit new faith. Just like Caleb, who was 80 years old when he really started to rule, reach out your hands and take up the staff again. I am redefining your gift and sending you out again. The old and new will become dance partners. The old and young will rejoice together. I am reinlisting my troops and I will give my reinlistment bonuses in the earth for the wind is blowing. I am calling my people again. Rise up and follow me into victory. Lift up your feet. Lift up your feet. Lift up your feet. Lift up your feet. Though unity was thwarted in the in the last season and the enemy came in like a flood, I am reinlisting my troops and I will bring forth that I had planned. That which I have spoken will not return void to me. I will stir up my people with a new anointing and a new strength will blend together and my army will rule the streets of their nations. Grab hold of the new staff I am extending. Let your hands be strong. Let your hands be strong. For the words the prophets have spoken, though they've lain dormant and have not blossomed, I say, let your hands be strong. For I will be activating words and accelerating my purposes. This season, my word is coming forth. Don't be don't get left behind. My word is coming again. Rise up again. A righteous man falls seven times and gets up. So shake off your words and rise again. I will build my house again. The old and the young will shout together. It will be a sound that has not been heard in this season. This is a day of rebuilding and completing what has been what had what was begun in one generation. Though the foundation has been shaky and the people have been divided and the world has drawn many away, now I will build my house again. For I am repairing the foundation, and I am lifting up that which is sagged. I am leveling out that which was crooked. And today I start the process. For the wind is blowing again. And even though you have met each other and met me before, now you will meet me in a new way and see each other in a new way in in the way that I see you. Let go. Let go the things of the past. Let go. Let go the things of the past and catch the new wind blowing forth. I am reinlisting. Hear my call and receive your bonus as you come forth. It's all you. All right. Praise God. Uh, I need you to email me that, Rod, please. I'm gonna tell you, first of all, the lesson tonight. Remember, uh, when I was here last week, for those of you who were not here, uh, it was an unfinished lesson, which is, by the way, first page that you have in your notes. It ended, it had about that much left. And, uh, I told Fred, I didn't make no copies because the lesson was never finished. The Lord just didn't give me the end of it. So, as soon as I preached last Friday night, next morning I got the lesson, the second part of the lesson. And guess what? We ended last week with what am I? Paul says, I am what I am. And then I asked a question, what am I? Or what am I? And guess what the Lord showed me? You're a soldier. That's what we're going to be talking about tonight. And he just had that talking about our identity. I mean that prophecy. Let me tell you how how far back that prophecy and I know that uh that time you know uh but let I got to share this with you because it goes with what you were saying. Um um I don't know if it was before her dad passed away or but we went to visit her mom and dad. I heard that might might have been dead already. I don't know if it was 2001 when he passed away was 2002, but her mom lived in a remote part of uh Arkansas in Conway. They retired by a lake and there's a lot of wood. So, we went out there on vacation. We drove and uh we were going to leave that morning about 11. And so, that gave her time to spend, you know, time with her mom and stuff like that. So, I got up early and decided to go to prayer. So, I went and I walked They they have a lot of lakes over there. And so I walk a couple of miles. Then I found a real wooded area all while over there in Arkansas. So I saw a trail. So I get into the trail and I'm walking for a quiet place to pray and I come to a crossroads of trail and I'm standing in the middle and you know everything is are pretty high. I can see that the trail makes a perfect cross where I'm standing at. I looked at the trail that goes that way and then it curves so you can't see no more. So you can see here and then as I look that way the trail goes farther and then it curves and then you can see no more. And then you can see this other trail where they curve and I can see that it makes a perfect cross. This is in the middle of the wood like about 7 8 o'lock in the morning in Arkansas. So I get down on my knees and you know you're in the uh dirt and all of that stuff so I can't really lay down or anything. So I just get down on my knees and I began to pray and I began to pray uh asking the Lord for direction and guidance and all things and all of a sudden you're talking about the rustling of the trees. Here comes and this was weird because you can tell it's not natural when you feel it right. So this wind comes in and and and it blowing right on the top of the trees and and I know man the Holy Spirit is answering me right right now. I got both of my hands up and the wind blows and it blows just on one hand. It's weird. You could feel the breeze blowing but it hitting just one hand. I don't know what my left hand went numb or my head went numb. The only I could only feel the wind on this hand while I was praying. It was a a very strange uh uh experience that I had. So then we got on the road and we left around 11 11:30. I told her what had happened and I'm driving straight through. I was a lot younger back then. I I can't do it now, but I'm driving straight through. So 3:00 in the morning, we left Arkansas maybe 9 or 10 or 11, whatever. But 3:00 in the morning, we're somewhere in Arizona. And I am driving. It's a beautiful night out. I'm I'm and looking at at the stars and everything. As you know, the jets fly from east to west and they leave that vapor trail. And so there's just I'm seeing just as I'm driving and looking out at the night all of these trails going and one jet came across this way and it formed there was just one trail this way and one it forms a perfect cross right in the middle but the the winds up in the atmosphere was so heavy that everything was blowing real fast. So this cross is just sitting there and it's not moving. All the jets go by their trail disappears and I cross the land. I said, "Boy, I've been driving too long. But I need a break. Something is going on in and mine. So I um I finally about after five or 10 minutes of this amen I wake her up because she was just laying there asleep. I said look at honey this thing won't won't go away. And remember I have been praying that morning in what is it for a cross just like what happened on the earth God is just replicating it up in heaven. And and it's weird now. So 25 30 minutes go by. She's already been out 50 minutes. We see all their jets pay for trail. The wind blows it away and this cross is just formed right there perfectly from and it was at an angle like that cross as it was in the sky like that and it was at an angle. So anyway, just as we're wondering you know what what this is or whatever then all of a sudden the cross begins to dissipate begins to break like 25 30 minutes after I seen it. And yes, as we're coming there, we're in the middle of the desert nowhere. We come into this little mountain and the sign says cross mountain road. Cross Mountain Road. In other words, there's a a and and so later uh in 2003, I believe it was, we're going back and I said, "We got to go to that place, Cross Mountain Road." The Lord took us to Las Vegas. We formed a cross in Las Vegas to where we were a La Plaza Hotel. we anointed. That's when I had the experience of the Lord took me. And in that experience where the Lord took me, I to make it up the hill, the Lord put a staff in my hand. That's why all of the things that the prophecy is talking about there, I experience. So, I need you to to email me that. Okay. But, uh, but the thing is, you know, like you were saying in your testimony, God knows us and God is real. And when God will allow us to to, you know, doggy paddle for a while, but when it comes to time, he chose himself up. And and and that's one thing about God that he chose himself up. And there is something I mean, I can tell you from from the 21 years now that I've been serving the Lord that there's something going on now different than it's ever gone before. Something is happening in the spiritual realm. God is getting ready to do something so totally different that we need to open our minds to believe for for things that we could never even think of. Amen. And when the Lord gave me this revelation to to share this this uh four weeks, I want you to know that this is what what has been in my heart. What my heart is that that which is soul and he kept saying that in the prophecy, God is doing away with it. God is changing the way he does business. This is an end time. You know what happened when when you're doing something and it gets contaminated, you throw it away and you get something new. You know, Fred was painting this week. He said, "You take that spackle and you start putting it on the cracks and then all of a sudden your spackle gets all full of debris and stuff like that and then you're making more of a mess and then do anything. You got to get rid of that old contaminated thing. Throw it away and then you come with something brand new, something that has been that has not been used, something that is not contaminated." And that's what God is doing. And guess what? The number one qualification to be part of that army, you got to be a black sheep. Because you see what God is doing, God is dealing with the rejected. If if you look at it, that's who God is going after. God is going after. Did you know that uh you were talking about uh worthlessness? That's a spirit is a spirit of blay. It appears in the King James version of the Bible 17 times by name. And Hannah who was uh uh the mother of Samuel uh was married to Arcana and she was worthless. He had two wife. One was very productive, gave him a lot of kids. Hannah couldn't have no children. You see that represents the old way of doing thing and the new way of doing thing. Every time he came to Jerusalem like they were required, he would give his wife Hannah that was bearing a double portion of everything. But yet she wasn't satisfied. She felt rejected. The other wife tormented her all the time. Said, "You're worthless. You're good for nothing. You can't even give your husband children." And this torment went on. One time she went into the temple and threw herself at the door. Wouldn't eat, wouldn't do nothing. She cried and cried and cried and cried. She was sobbing so much that Eli the high priest said, "Woman, if you're going to get drunk, go get drunk someplace else. Don't come to do it in the house of the Lord." Okay. Jesus, I am not drunk. He said, I am here because my spirit is see that Eli priest who was corrupted. He well at least his uh his songs were corrupted and and he died when when the glory left departed the temple. But that man had to speak something into her life. And when he heard her cry, he says, "Be it unto you according to your faith." It was when she says, "I am not a daughter of Bile." When Samuel Eli the priest came in and said, "You a a woman, worthless woman, what are you doing here crying at the door of the temple?" And she says, "No, I am not a daughter of a lion." When she was saying, "I am not worthless. I may not be reproductive right now. I may be tormented. I may be going through all of the things, but I am not worthless." And the minute she spoke that says I am not worthless. Eli the high priest had to speak because he was in the office. I said next year by this time you going to have a son. And that son was Samuel who was able to introduce Israel to the new that God was doing. He was the man who anointed kings. He was a man the change from the judges to the kingdom of God. And that's what's going on right now. A lot of us may feel like uh Hannah. But when we come to that place where we can cry, I am not worthless. I may have been rejected by religion and I may be rejected by tradition and I may be rejected by all of the norms of men, but I am here to tell you that I am not worthless because I know that God has a plan and purpose for my life. And when we cried out, that cry out, then that's what that voice in your ear makes. That's the Holy Spirit, by the way. The reason why it wouldn't look you, it was just taking the form of your doubt so that you could see it. It was the Holy Spirit speaking to you. And when the Holy Spirit speaks into your ear and he was just putting something in your spirit that you're not worthless. And when that gets placed into your spirit, that is when you conceive. It says that she went home and instantly she conceived. And nine months later, she had a a a young man named Samuel. And that's what's going on right now. By the way, the Holy Spirit is speaking to a lot of people who have been rejected. Anyway, let me go over real quick to what we um we talked about last week. We're talking about dominion. How there were three things that would cause us to turn the dominion over to Satan. The first one was in Psalm 193 where he says, "Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins. Let them not have dominion over me." So presumptuous sense, that's when we presume that we're called of God or that God has told us to do this or that. That's operating on the uh senses, the realm of the senses. That can cause us to turn dominion over to the enemy. Psalm 119:13 said, "Direct my step by your word, and let no iniquity have no have dominion over me." Iniquity, as I taught two weeks ago, is harlotry is at the root of all iniquity. Harlotry meaning worshiping something other than God. Okay? And and and and the way the Israelites did it is they put Baal. Baal means Lord. As a matter of fact, the Bible calls God because that was their their word at the time, Baal twice. It means Lord. So they were actually mixing their religion to where they were worshiping Nimrod, but yet they call him Jehovah or they called him Lord. And that is what iniquity, the root of all iniquity is worshiping God, thinking you're worshiping God, but in reality you're not worshiping God. You're worshiping something that is demonic. And then the third one that always turns the dominion over. Why? Because if you're giving, worship comes from an old English word. That means worth giving. giving value. Using Matthew 12:43–45, it explains how an unclean spirit, once expelled, seeks reentry; if the “house” (the inner life) is left empty, it returns with seven worse spirits, leaving the person in a worse condition. Therefore, deliverance must be followed by filling—with the Holy Spirit and love. The message traces today’s “wicked generation” to idolatry and resulting iniquity (Exodus 20:4–5; Psalm 7:14). Idolatry equals hatred toward God; where hatred resides, it breeds further corruption. Proverbs 26:24–26 is presented as the key: a hating heart hides behind smooth words yet holds seven abominations that will manifest publicly. These seven abominations (rooted in hate and often aligning with lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) are outlined from Proverbs: Pride in heart—the mask that partners with hate (Prov 16:5). Sacrifice of the wicked—religious activity from wrong motives (Prov 15:8; cf. Luke 18:11–13). Thoughts of the wicked—a mindset that produces slander, gossip, and put-downs (Prov 15:26). Perverse heart—malice that delights in others’ harm (Prov 11:20). Lying lips—deceit used to get ahead; envy and self-seeking (Prov 12:22; cf. Jas 3:14). Dishonest scales—systemic dishonesty in life and work (Prov 11:1). Perverse person—a counterfeit self formed by sustained deceit and sin (Prov 3:32). Practical ministry application: discern the spirit behind behaviors (e.g., anger, slander), respond with prayer and blessing rather than retaliation, and aim at the root of hate (including self-hate), not merely the symptoms. The antidote is God’s love poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5, 8). When love fills the “house,” returning spirits find no vacancy. Believers are assured that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ (Rom 8:37–39). The call is to maintain a Spirit-filled life so the fruits of love (Gal 5:22–23) displace the fruits of hate, securing lasting freedom. Inspired Teaching: Amen. Praise God. I didn't make copies for this uh but I posted them on the House of Faith Ministries um uh web page. Um and in 1 Corinthians 12:10 is I got three pages, so I don't know how how far I'm going to go with this, but I definitely want to lay out the um um the framework. But in 1 Corinthians 12:10, uh Paul lists nine different spirits. And uh I just broke in there into the middle of it where it says uh to another prophecy and to another discerning of spirits. Fred asked me to teach in um in the spiritual discernment. This is a gift. If you reading in 1 Corinthians 12 says that the gift are given for the profit of all for all of the believer to profit. So in 1 Corinthians towards the end after Romans, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts and then Romans and then 1 Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians 12, it lists nine of this spirit. And I want to speak tonight specifically on the one having to do with discerning of spirits. Um now why is it important for us to have spiritual discernment? Well the Bible says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and power. So our battle with spirit. If you have a a problem with anger or if you have a spouse or a child or or a parent that u has a problem with anger and it affects your life. Anger is a spirit. And uh if you try to deal with a situation with anger in the natural, guess what? There's going to be a fight, an argument. Usually how we do the same way with you name, you name any of those areas and it will happen like that. It has to do with with spirit. So understanding, spiritual discernment is the gift that God has given to us. It's a spiritual gift. the Holy Spirit has put it in us. As we develop this ability to understand spirits, it will make it so much easier for us to understand ourselves, why we do the things that we do and uh understanding others that we relate with. in Matthew uh 12:es 43, 44, and 45. Matthew, the first of the gospels in the New Testament, um Jesus gives us an insight into how spirits operate. And so beginning in in verse 43 of Matthew uh 12, it says, "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man," Matthew, the first book in the in the New Testament, "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest and finds none." Then he says,"I will return to my house from which I came." And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and take with him seven other spirits, more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation. Now Jesus is giving us an insight into spiritual discernment. He says when you are able by your own strength to deal with a spirit that is within you and you're able to say you know what this is it I'm not going to do this no more and you're powerful enough to drive that quality in your life that that bother you says this spirit goes out leaves he sees us the body as a house that's what he calls it and but when he's kicked out of the house. He looks for another place. Can't find it. That's what Jesus says. He's looking for He's wandering through dry places and he finds no rest anywhere. So he says, "I'm going to come back to the house, see if there's a way that I can back in." Then he comes back to the house. He finds it clean, swept, and everything in order. Because many you decided, I'm going to get my life right. I'm going to do the things that I need to do. And then you get rid of some of the things. But here it's talking about a person that evidently is doing it on their own strength. The spirit, the unclean spirit comes back, finds a house nice and clean, and it finds that uh is empty as far as another spirit operating in there, which is why we need the Holy Spirit to dwell in every area of our soul. And so he knows that this person is going to be able to kick him out again. So what does he does before he goes back into the house? Jesus says that he finds seven other spirits more wicked than himself and then they come back into the man or the person and now this person is in worse shape than it was when it began. Now, how many of us have been there where we said, you know what, I'm going to get my life right, man. I'm not I'm going to stop doing this. I'm And we make oursel that commitment that we're not going to do certain things anymore. And we do pretty good for a while and then all of a sudden things begin to fall apart and before you know it we wish, man, I wish I would have never tried to mess with this thing because we wind up being in worse shape than we were the first time. Why? Because we were able to clean the house. We were able to get rid of those things that that that that we didn't want no part of. But these things somehow knew how to get back in. And this time came a lot stronger. And then we wind up being in a worse mess. You know, it's the truth that for us human, every time we try to do the right thing, we wind up sometimes we wind up in a lot worse shape. So this is the setting here that I want to use for understanding how spiritual uh understanding can help us in this. First of all, in Psalm 7:14, we need to identify who this spirit is. who the spirit that dwells in the house that is able to summon these other seven spirits. Uh uh so uh the first key is at the end of Matthew in verse 45 where Jesus says so shall it also be with this wicked generation. Jesus is saying that when there is a generation that is wicked people are open to this demonic infestation. So in Psalm 7:14, this is what Psalm 7:14 says, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." Psalm 7:14, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." Now, what is iniquity? Iniquity is inherited sin. Meaning that we're living in a generation that is paying the price for the sins of our fathers and our forefathers. You see, if the church would have been operating in the power of the spirit and anointing instead of being caught up in idolatry, this generation wouldn't be wicked. This because that's what the church job is. The job of the church is to convict the world of ungodliness. the church by the power and the anointing that he has is able to to to preach to a generation and convict the the ungodliness that's going around. You know, back there was a time to where in radio or in television there were words that you wouldn't dare mention. The the people will have such an uproar if certain things were said in the movies that they made. Now, Europe wasn't like that. In Europe, they were showing all kinds of bad things and the directors here kept saying, "How can we get this in America? How can we get this in America? How come in Europe, they have all of the well only five or 10% of the people in Europe go to church while over 50% of the people in America go to church?" That was a difference. But you see, Satan had to find a way to get that wickedness into here. And and the the way to do it was to corrupt or contaminate the church because anytime a church gets involved with idolatry, that church loses his spiritual power because the spiritual power comes from God and God is pure and God is holy and God does not h mix us with sin. So once a church the message that a church proclaimed is contaminated with idolatry or sin loses its power, loses the Holy Spirit moves out of it. And so you see it that you can go now to your TV and watch a movie from the 40s and watch a movie from the 50s and then watch something that is on MTV right now and you can see the difference. I mean I'm old enough. I was born in 47 where I can see the difference. They speak on regular TV. You can be watching regular normal TV and they speak words that that would make you blush. I remember 30, 40 years ago, you would hear that and you make you blush. They speak of of of of things like why? Because this generation that we're living on because of the lack of the spiritual authority that the church fails to enforce is a generation of wickedness. And Jesus says that to that wicked generation, the people in that wicked generation are exposed to the demon that the spirit that is in all of us resident that when we kick him out because that's what you want to do. You want to live your life without being bound to anything is able to summon up seven other spirits worse than themselves to where they come in and make the people worse. Now, you hear things in the news today, like, for example, that u a a a guy just goes up and gets a gun and shoots 20 or 30 totally and completely innocent people that he never saw, that he never met, that he couldn't care. He kills him and then kills himself. They speak to these mass murderers that that were caught. Well, there's a spirit, there's a force, there's something that got into them that's driving them. Their lives were not their lives anymore. They hear voices. They they heard the voices say, "Go and kill such and such person." We're living in that generation. And thank God, I think that this is the last generation. I think Jesus is coming back in this generation. You know, I believe that that we have a big door opening in a couple of years for the return of the Lord. And I'm looking for the signs and and and uh there's troops massing right now in Syria and in Israel. And there's um uh uh things happening in nature. There was a meteorite or something that fell either in Chile or Argentina someplace. 200 people were sick from this thing. Uh there was a big flash, a bright light that went over New Mexico. They don't know what it was. There's things happening in the spirit. Why? Because in this end time generation, there's going to be a confrontation or a battle between spirits. the spirit of righteous, the spirit of God is going to confront the spirit of Satan. It is it is going to happen before the Lord returns. Okay? And and the idea is for us not to be contaminated so that when this battle takes place, we have the authority of God. Because you see, one of the things is that when the authority of God is upon you, Satan can't touch you. And so spiritual discernment is the key for us to know what spirit we're operating on, what spirit the people around us are operating on so that we can understand. So this is vital to for understanding what's going on. We're on a wicked generation. Now in Exodus 24 and 5 when God gave the ten commandments, he said that commandment was number one was do not make any images. You know the Lord your God is one. Worship him alone. No idolatry. Idolatry was forbidden. And then in in verse four of Exodus 20, it says, "Because I am a yellow God. And the sins of the father is passed on to the children to the third and to the fourth generation." That's what iniquity is. So it says in Psalm uh uh 7:14, "Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity." So wicked, the word wicked has to do with idolatry. When you worship idols, immediately there's an iniquity that flows and it goes to three or four generations. So we as a church had to look back and said, where was the church three or four generations ago? Because if the church is powerless, then the church got into idolatry. And that's why wickedness is going into the church today. You say, "Well, how can you prove that it's in the church today?" Well, look at the statistics. Here in the United States, we have enough people that go to church faithfully that they do a statistic all over. Divorce in in the national rate and in the Christians, the people that go to church and claim to be Christian, it's the same the same. There there's no disparity. There's not less Christians and and more unbelievers. Uh uh look at cancer. How many Christians dies of cancer versus how many people in the world die of cancer? Look at it's the same. We're no different. The Christian going to church today has the same chances to having these things happen to him that it does in the world. Now why is that? Well, because the church is definitely has allowed this iniquity to come in. Has allowed it because of idolatry, because of compromise, because of whichever way it came is affecting us. So, we as Christians need spiritual discernment to understand what spirits are behind what's going on if we're going to uh uh to prosper in this. Now, the root of wickedness is idolatry. And the root of idolatry is hatred towards God. Because God says in in in Exodus 25, he says, "I the Lord your God am a jealous God visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me." God says, "Those who commit idolatry hate me." As a matter of fact, first John, I think John in first or second John says, "Love of the world is hatred towards God." You cannot get any more plain than that. Love of the world is hatred towards God. Doesn't it say that? Okay. So, hate or hatred is at the root of wickedness and and and u iniquity is all there. Why? Because when you are saying to God, I don't want to worship you God. I'd rather worship this other thing myself whatever you're hating God. You see, in in in in in the Hebrew sense of the word, when Jesus says, "If you don't hate your mother or hate your your father uh uh and love me, you have no part of me." We cannot understand that thinking. But in the Hebrew word, there's no in the Hebrew language, there's no word for in between. You either love or you hate. There's no middle ground to where, oh yeah, I love God, but I also love this. No, no. You love God, you hate everything else. I mean, God gives us everything else. But but that is the mentality of it. And God is saying, if you have any hint of idolatry and anything that you do, you hate me. That's what he says. Because idolatry is hatred towards God. And idolatry is the root of all wickedness and and the root of all contamination. So God sees any part of idolatry as hate, hatred towards him. And that opens the door for this inherited sin. A wicked generation is the generation that hates God. Now tell me if you can can reason, does this generation that we live today, does it hate God? Ask yourself the question in school. You cannot carry the Bible. Did you know here in California, they can teach the Quran? They have a the Muslim months that just started Ramadan. They teach the kids how to use the the veil and how to pray. They're they can teach all of that. They say, "Well, that's not religion. That's culture." They'll call it that. They use whatever. California, you can do that. But you walk with that Bible right there right now and you're gone. Uh this guy Madina, the president of Iran, he's going to speak in Colombia University. People are now say, "Well, we believe in freedom of speech. We believe that that that that different ideas have to be given a forum." Did you know that there was a guy that was going to speak there that believes that homosexuality is is is an abomination to the Lord? He will not be allowed to speak. Why? Because he's speaking the word of God. They have freedom of speech for everybody else, but not for God, the Bible. They have freedom of religion for everybody else, culture, but not God. And so, we living in a generation that hates God. As a matter of fact, this what marks this this year right here right now, I have never seen in in the 42 years that I've been in this country, I have never seen so much hatred as I have seen today. I mean, our president, if you don't agree with him, it's not like it used to be you didn't like this president, you don't like this president, you just don't support. No, there's pure nothing but pure hatred right now towards different polit and it's in both sides. This is why so-called Christians go and bomb abortion clinics and shoot people. We are in a generation that is infested with hate. And that hate now is what opens the door for the seven worst spirits to come in. And so this is the revelation that the Lord has given given me for tonight that a wicked generation is a generation that is into idolatry. And that idolatry, God sees a hatred towards him. And that hatred opens the door now, like Jesus said, for this spirit, for the person that is trying to live a right life because you don't have to be a conservative or liberal or or this or that or the other, black or white or yellow or blue. Everybody wants to be the best they can. Nobody wakes up in the morning and said, "Man, I want to be an able person today." Everybody gets up and wants to be the best they can. and you get your house in order and you try to get your house in order, but because we're in this wicked generation, this spirits have clean access. They have like a freeway built right into us with no toll booth or nothing. They just go right in there. And so, so now according to Jesus, these seven different kinds of spirits emanate or come from hate. Now this is interesting because in uh Galatians 5:22-23 where the fruit of the spirits are lifted. You read there it says the fruit now fruits plural the fruit singular the fruit of the spirit is love. And then out of love come joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, gentleness, meekness, self-control, faithfulness. out of love. See, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. The love that God demonstrated for us where he shed his love abroad in our hearts opens the door for us to receive fruit. Let me define fruit as the manifestation of the love of God. See, when I love somebody, when I'm good to somebody, when I'm faithful to my word, when I walk in righteousness, when when when I'm meek and humble, when I do all of the things, they're all a manifestation of love. Love is a fruit. When the my bornagain spirit, when I received the Lord and I was born again, my spirit was shed or flooded with the love of God, which were demonstrated by his sacrifice on the cross. That love now begins to express itself through me through different ways. Through faithfulness, I was faithful now. I was a faithful person. I was this. I was that. I was the other. Meek humbleness. All of these are manifestations of the love of God in me. Well, in the same way, hate being the root of Satan, hate manifests itself in different ways. And that's what I want to deal with today. Let's find out what the fruit of hate or dumb manifestations of hate are because this is the things we need to deal with. And the scripture I want you to see is Proverbs 26 verses 24, 25, and 26. And if you can look it up is critical that we read this. Proverbs chapter 26. This is a revelation. And what I'm teaching here tonight is a revelation that the Lord's given me this week. I never taught this before. Proverbs is after the book of Psalms. Psalms is in the middle of your Bible. Proverbs 26 24 25 and 26. Look what it says. He who hates disguises it with his lips and lays up deceit within himself. When he speaks kindly, do not believe him. For there are seven abominations in his heart. Though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the assembly. Now notice what the scripture says. This is a revelation. That scripture says that a person who has hate instead of love. Remember love is if if is the fruit of of of the spirit of God. You cannot be saved unless you're baptized into the spirit. Paul says that by faith we're baptized into one body. That's the body of Jesus Christ. And it's the Holy Spirit that does that. So once love comes in, there are now eight manifestations of the love of God, which is joy and peace and and and and u uh uh longsuffering and goodness and gentleness and meekness and self-control and and faithfulness. All of those are manifestation of love. Now it says there a person who hate. A person who has hate rested within him has seven abominations within him or within her. And these things will be manifested as wickedness. And I show you the wickedness is having to do with idolatry and iniquity which is uh uh inherit sin. So hate then and this is the revelation. Hate is the key spirit. Hate is the spirit that is resident in all of us. Because you see before we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ, we had no capacity to love. The love in the sense that the Bible speaks of love. Now fileo love which is brotherly love or it's talking about the love of God. The unconditional love of God. Agapeo agape love. Agapeo love is the unconditional love of God. The Bible says I love Jesus because he first loved me without the love of Jesus first in us. We have no capacity to love agape. Agape love without the spirit of God. So if we did not have the capacity to agape or agape that love then what did we have selfishness which at the center of it is you will see is hate. Why? Because the last fruit of the spirit is self-control in in in the works of the flesh. Selfishness is the center of them. So but how does this spirit notice that it says that it hides? This is why we haven't found it all this time. He says the person who has hate hides it. Disguise it. This is why Fred in the ministry so many time that we minister to people, we were missing the key. And I believe we're missing the key because the strong man in the person was hate. Selfhate is one of the biggest problems when you're dealing with people because Satan has has has put them down and has made him to experience hate for so long that it is in there. But look how we cover it up. He says there, "He who hates this guy says it with his lips and lays up deceit with himself." Meaning it's like putting a band-aid. You have this problem. You have this hurt. You have this selfhate. So you try to cover it up and then you try to speak kindly. He said, "Don't believe him. When somebody putting all these moves on you and all these nice, they're disguising." Hey, why? Because hate will betray you. Hate will be see true love, unconditional love will always be there for you. You know, you can tell all of those people that uh that used to follow Britney's peers, she did something and bummed out real bad. Now everybody hates her. Two years ago, everybody loves her. Now everybody hates her. But you see, that's because this is the type of world that we're living in. True love will stick with a person when you're doing good or when you're doing bad. But it says here that they disguise it. If I would had this revelation when we're doing those uh uh ministry, this would be tremendous because the root is hate. He says there so clearly hates his guys. And then he says don't believe him. Why why don't you believe a person that that that hates and that is his because there are seven abominations in his or her heart. And it says, "Though that hatred is covered by deceit, the wickedness will be revealed before the assembly." That's when you're ministering. You know, a lot of times, uh, I remember ministering to this guy. We're ministering to him. Very strong Aztec spirit that we were dealing with. Remember upstairs over there. And man, we're fighting and fighting and fighting until he got set free. And we kept pushing every button, everything we could to get this guy set free. When he's set free, we asked him said, What was the trouble? What's the problem? He says the only thing that that thing responded to was love. You remember, I can't remember his name, but he says every time you guys spoke about love, that thing hated it. He told us the strong man, this it was a a Leviathan type of kind of snake spirit that this guy was was really wrestling with and and he wanted to be a friend. He couldn't. And we battle and we cast that thing and we did everything we could. And by the time we finally got to him, we asked him, we were there what, four or five hours with him. And that was the second time, I think. Huh? Yeah. He had the Mexican flag in his pocket. Remember, he's half Mexican, half black. Had tremendous hatred towards black people. Remember, because his father was black and had a something like that. But anyway, this and and that's true. Hate was a root cause in there. But when Huh? Yeah. Yeah. It was a root cause. And when we finally spoke to him, he he said, "Every time you guys spoke about love, I think hated it. How God loved me, how Jesus had died for my sin, how you were how I was important to God, how God had a purpose in my all of the things that the the spirit couldn't take it." And now it makes sense. Why? Because hate is at the root of the thing. Hate is at the root of the thing. And so when you show love, that spirit couldn't handle it. Now, what I want to do tonight is deal with what are these seven abominations. And these seven abominations, uh, I'm just going to barely touch on them because I can I got three pages of them. So, this is for Fred, by the way. Fred is the one that asked for this. So, uh, we'll have to he'll have to work out the things in there. But I want to show you how hate has different spirit. And by the way, Fred is already the Lord had given a revelation on this. He was showing me some of the work that he's doing and how it connects uh with it over here. Okay. What are these seven abominations and and how do they manifest? Look at Proverbs chapter 16 verse 5. And we're going to be in the book of Proverbs. So just stay there. All of these abominations are in the book of Proverbs. Abomination number one. Now remember, hatred is a strong man. Hatred is is a spirit because hatred is the absence of love. Before we were born again, before we experience the love of God, the spirit of hate is in there. Hatred is a strong man. And out of him, seven abominations come. That's what we just read in in in Proverbs. Now look at the first one. Proverbs 16:5. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Now remember, he who hates disguises it with his lips uh and lays up deceit within himself. When he speaks, do not believe him. For there are seven abominations in his heart. So the first abomination is revealed to us in Proverbs 16:5. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. I want you to see that key there. Join forces. That's the key because it requires the inbred natural hate that is on every one of us. You know, God has put in in in in all of us a measure of faith. In the same way when we to Adam Adam and Eve took part of of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil I believe that there was a measure of faith I mean a measure of hate that it was important to every soul. So we all have this inherited ability to hate others to hate ourselves. Okay. A a lot of sane rational people that have been in situations where life dependency says you don't know what humans are capable of doing under certain circumstances. You find this in wars. Normal person that would never do anything all of a sudden will do horrible horrendous things. You know it happened in Vietnam. It happens in Iraq. this ability. Well, that's that resident hate that is in all of us. And it says that he joins forces with who? With pride. He says the the the pride the the the person who has pride in his heart is an abomination to God and he joins forces. So that if hate is the root, pride is definitely the tree. They go together like a hand and glove. Pride and hate cannot be separated. Why? Because pride is what we use to mask the hate. Remember how it says that he who has hate covers it up. You see, that's what pride does. You see, if you have a low self-esteem, you either wind up in the gutter or you either wind up very successful. Why? Because that you cannot accept that condition. And so this parish, you will see they are all moved to cover up for that lack there. And it begins with pride. You will find pride in people who are on the street, homeless people. When when Fred and I were dealing with some of that, some of the most proud people are people that have nothing. They have pride. They say, "I have my pride. I'm not going to do this or I'm not going to do that." So these spirits go very, very close together. Pride and hate. and they're the ones that open the door for the rest of the guys to come in. Now, we'll need to and I'm I'm I'm hoping to write I'm going to write uh quite a bit on this. I'm going to do research on each one of these spirits category. I'm going to put it on on the web page how be because pride has more than one manifestation just like love has more than one manifestation. Joy has more than one manifestation just like the fruit of the spirit have many ways of manifesting themsel but these are the root spirits and that's what I want you to see. These are the root spirits and then there's different variations of it and that's what we need to work on so that when we minister to people we're able to identify them quickly and deal with them according to the scriptures that God has given us on how to handle them. But the prouding heart is an abomination to the Lord. Pride comes into the heart, joins with the self-hatred, low self-esteem, and now they join forces to allow these other abominations to come in. Number two, Proverbs 15:8. And this one might surprise you a little bit. Maybe religious spirits will fall under this category. He says, "The sacrifice," is Proverbs 15:8, "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight." Now, notice that it's called the sacrifice, the sacrifice of the wicked. Now, what is wicked? We just told you wicked has to do with idolatry. wickedness which those wickedness is is is a byproduct of idolatry which is hatred towards God. That means that a person who has not resolved the hate issue deep within us. Cover it up with pride. The pride of life which is what both of these spirits fall under. By the way, there are each uh there are two two of each spirits fall in the category pride of life, loss of the flesh and loss of the eye. The first one, the one with pride has to do obviously with the pride of life. And this one, the sacrifice of the wicked also have to do with the pride of life. I believe that you will find ministers, people who minister and people who serve who have never resolved the problem with hate, okay, are serving God for selfish motives and and it is an abomination to the Lord. You are in the ministry. You're doing work, but the real reason why you're doing it is because you have other motives. Notice that it says there the prayer of the righteous. So it compares prayer and sacrifice meaning that their service. Did you know that there are people and believe me I had contact with many people through the years and people would come in and tell me what they're praying for and sometimes they ask you to join with them. There's actually people that pray for other people to die. There's people that actually praying for other people to lose their job. There are people that are actually praying. We just went and prayed for for a girl tonight that is struggling with with cancer. Uh uh next door the husband came in and told her that that his wife was praying for her to die. This is real. Why would somebody want and pray actually believing that God will answer their their their prayer bad for somebody else? Hate. Hate is the only reason. Why would else would you do it? hate or pride because you're, oh well, they don't deserve this. I don't get it. I pray for my mom. She never recover. She died of cancer. So, why are you any better than my mom? You should die just like my mom died. See, this is one of the manifestations of the spirit. It's called the pride of life. And it says that that is an abomination to the Lord. But yet, the root cause of it is, hey, that mask itself and pride. Oh, I'm so religious. I pray. As a matter of fact, I think I got a scripture here. Don't don't miss your your place here in Proverbs. We're coming back. But in Luke 18 verse 11, 12, and 13, Jesus gives us a a a description of a person who is praying or sacrificing to God in this spirit. Luke 18 112 and 13 says, "The Pharisee stood and he prayed thus with himself." He stood up and he began to pray to himself. He's not saying it out loud. He's hiding it, but he said, "God, I thank you that I'm not like all of these other guys here. I'm not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even that tax collector over there in the back. Oh man, he's really bad. These guys are bad, but he's three times more bad than that. I thank you, Lord. I fast twice a week and I give tithe of everything that I possess. Sound like a pretty faithful guy. He'll be work welcome in every church today, man. He fast and he ties. Everybody wants people like that in their church, right? But guess what? They're praying. My pastor is a crook. Inspired Teaching: Hebrews 7:24-25 “But He (Jesus), because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” In verse twenty five we find one of the most powerful statements in regards to why there is an end of times coming soon. The problem with humanity is that for some reason we just keep dying off. Man’s dream of living in a manmade utopia is always shattered by that inconvenient little thing we call death. No matter how hard religion works to perfect its patrons, by the time they seem to be getting the hang of true religion, they die. No matter how many laws politicians enact, they cannot abolish death. It does not matter how many new drugs science discovers, they cannot cure death. If religion, science, government, and whatever else we try cannot remove man’s mortal enemy, death, then what can? That is the question that Hebrews chapter seven answers. Jesus is the antidote for death because He is the only perfect human, He always lives and His life continues forever. Why is Jesus coming back? To eradicate death! But before He comes we need to understand that eternity has to be a perfect place with perfect people if it is going to be a happy place. Imagine an eternity with lawless people living with no fear of death, a place where they can commit the most horrific acts against other humans over and over and not be held accountable for their deeds...is not that what hell would be like? He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him: What does it mean by uttermost? Completely and/or forever! If eternity is going to be perfect, it has to be made not only of people that are perfect but of people that will always be perfect. After all, if we live in an eternity out of which we can be kicked out of, it would not be a happy eternity for those who get kicked out, or for those who live in fear of being kicked out. Are we, flawed humans, going to become perfect? That depends on whether we pass life’s test or not. But before I tell you about the test of life, let me tell you this, all humans are going to live forever in their physically resurrected human bodies, whether they like it or not. Their final destination will depend on this and this alone: Jesus and what they believe He is to them! Jesus has been appointed by God to be the intermediary between man and God forever. That is why Jesus has the first perfect and eternal human body, so that He can speak to God on behalf of fallen man. Jesus always lives to make intercession between us and God forever. Without Jesus there is no happy eternity for any man. Hebrews 7:22 “By so much more Jesus has become a surety (guarantee) of a better covenant.” But before eternity can be ushered in, death has to be destroyed forever, and before death is destroyed forever, mankind has to take life’s final test. Those who pass the test graduate into a new and eternal reality of happiness and bliss, and those who fail the test are discarded into an eternal reality of doom and gloom forever. Revelation 3:10 “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” In between, before the final global test is administered, we are personally required to pass the test individually before our time comes tasting of the elixir of death. Now, notice how He says, because you kept My command to persevere, persevere on what? His Word. He told those who are alive before the final test begins, because you have kept My Word and have not denied My name I will keep you from the hour of testing, meaning they had already passed the test. Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. See, I have set before an open door (of escape), and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My Word, and have not denied My name.” What power is it that is in the Word of God and in the name of Jesus that is able to save us and to keep us safe forever? Hebrew 7:16 “Who has come (Jesus the Word made flesh), not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless (human) life.” Why do we have to pass a test before we die? Death is the door that leads all humans into eternity, but before we graduate into eternity, we have to choose which eternity we want to enter into; because into whatever eternity we enter, into that eternity we will stay forever; heaven is good, hell is bad and there is no in between. Now in order for us to enter the heavenly eternity, we have to realize that our fallen nature has to be changed, for nothing that’s flawed can enter the heavenly eternity; but I am flawed, you may say, and you would be right, because that’s exactly what the Word of God says about us: 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” But then, what gives? 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Here is the test; since I’ve confessed all my sins before God in the name of Jesus, almost thirty seven years ago, I have had to trust His Word that says that He forgave me all my sins, past, present, and future, and I have had to trust His Word that says that He has cleansed me from all my unrighteousness, in the face of all my many failings during all those years, and I have had to endure patiently, by faith believing that what He says trumps the way that I feel about my mortal condition. But if in any of those years had Jesus asked me, do you want to remain the same or do you want me to change you? My answer would have been immediate and certain as it would be today; change me Lord. I don’t want to sin anymore, please take all my sins away. So that if I would have died, I would have died in faith that His grace was sufficient for me, and my longings for true righteousness He would have immediately fulfilled upon my entering eternity in accordance with His promises. Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” The test is all about trust: who do we trust, our human condition or God’s promises? Let me give you a hint if you struggle with this, it is because it has to do with what is really real in your heart. Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” A pure heart begins with the reality of how worthless and how wicked we really are deep within. Our potential for wickedness is without measure, for as the Word of God declares, the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it? But God knows it, and He wants to replace our wicked heart with the heart of love that Jesus demonstrated for us, that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. It is that remarkable revelation that Jesus loves me to the uttermost that sustains me. He will never quit on me, and I will never give up my trusting in Him and in all of the precious promises found in His Word. He is my High Priest, and His continuous intercession before God Most High on my behalf is never ending. When this body of mine is finally made perfect, through the rapture if I am alive at His return, or in the resurrection if I am in the sleep of death before He comes, I will never ever cease to worship Him and declare His faithfulness to me before all the creation. And in the here and now, whether by word or thought, I do not cease to thank Him and praise Him, for He is my life and the sustainer of it. Outside of Him I have nothing. Without Him I am nothing, and in the absence of His promises in my life I have the expectation of nothing good. 1 Timothy 1:17 “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever.
