THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH OF THE TREE OF LIFE The objective of this teaching is to reveal the divine wisdom of God expressed through numbers in Scripture, particularly the symbolic meaning of the dimensions given in Ezra 6:3. Pastor Marcos seeks to show how numbers reflect God’s order, timing, and purpose for mankind’s existence, and how understanding the mathematical rhythm of creation enables believers to discern their position in the Tree of Life, align with God’s plan, and live faithfully in expectation of Christ’s return. THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH OF THE TREE OF LIFE Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the divine wisdom of God expressed through numbers in Scripture, particularly the symbolic meaning of the dimensions given in Ezra 6:3. Synopsis: In this message, Pastor Marcos explores the spiritual significance of the numbers related to the rebuilding of the house of God, as described in Ezra 6:3. He emphasizes how the number six represents both man and time, pointing to humanity’s journey through history and its ultimate culmination in God’s plan. By examining the mathematical structure woven into creation, he demonstrates that God’s Word is perfect not only in truth but also in its numerical design, giving believers insight into the times and seasons. Pastor Marcos compares life to a dance, noting that while many move along to the rhythm without understanding, those who grasp the divine mathematics of creation can live in harmony with God’s timing. Through wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, believers build their spiritual “house” upon God’s blueprint, avoiding vain labor and filling their hearts with the fruits of the Spirit. The teaching then shifts to the prophetic timeline of human history: six thousand years corresponding to six days of creation, leading toward the seventh dispensation of God’s rest. Signs of the end times—wars, exponential knowledge, and global travel—confirm that humanity is at the harvest stage of the Tree of Life. Pastor Marcos connects biblical symbols, such as the net of 153 fish in John 21, the twelve loaves of showbread, and the 144,000 sealed in Revelation, showing how they reveal the complete redemption of God’s people. Ultimately, the message challenges believers to recognize their place in God’s timetable, remain watchful and faithful, and prepare for Christ’s imminent return. The height and width of the Tree of Life represent the fullness of God’s redemption—a great multitude of nations and peoples redeemed by His power and grace. Inspired Teaching: Ezra 6:3 “In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: ‘Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits.’” Within Bible context numbers have very defined meanings; from the Genesis creation narrative we find that the number six is a fundamental part of the creation, since it took God six days to complete the entire creation. We also find that the number six is an intricate part of time itself; as in sixty seconds in a minute and sixty minutes in an hour. Because of that, the number six is symbolic of both time and man, since man was created on the sixth day. We could say that the number six in the Bible refers to man’s time here on earth, and we see that represented on the foundation of the house of God at Jerusalem, the foundation or the root, the beginning of the tree of man, represented by the number sixty, and its height, the completion of how high man’s reach would attain, represented by the number sixty as well. Of course the cardinal points, and the points of the compass, that point man to the different directions into which the tree of man can grow is represented by the number three hundred and sixty, which is a simple multiplication of 60X6 = 360. Proverbs 20:24 “A man’s steps (his progression) are of the Lord; how then can a man understand his own way?” The answer to the question posed by our verse of Scripture is this: Through our understanding of the progression of the numbers; after all, we live in a mathematically correct universe. As a bilingual person I have a personal understanding of how difficult it is to translate from one language to another, because similar words do not always carry the same emphasis or stay true to their original meaning when transliterated. Even for those who only operate in one language, you know how difficult it can be to express yourselves sometimes, when spoken words seem inadequate to fully vent your emotions. But not so with numbers, for numbers are the perfect language, you cannot mistranslate a mathematical equation. Two times two will always equal four no matter what language you are using. The Word of God is not only Perfect in Truth, the truth it portrays no matter what language it is translated into, but the Word of God is Truth Perfected in its mathematical structure as well. Whatever we may be lacking in our perception of the written language is more than made up by the mathematical structure built within God’s Word that our spirit intuitively understands. In other words, there is a mathematical rhythm that governs the creation, including mankind, that causes our souls to move along or dance to, if you will, to the heavenly symphony. Now if I use dance as an example, not everybody dancing on the dance floor necessarily knows how to dance, some are just moving to the beat as they interpret it with their own bodies, and even those who may be moving along pretty good at the rhythm of the music, who may qualify as good dancers, may not necessarily understand the mathematical components that are built within the music that they are dancing to, but nevertheless they intuitively flow with it and enjoy it. But to those who understand the mathematical structure of the creation, the width and the height of the reach of man, a perception relative to their position in the tree of life is given, which allows them to dance the dance of life in perfect synchronization to the beat of the universe. Simply put, they are the ones that march in time with the times. 1 Chronicles 12:32 “Of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…” Isn’t this what life is really about? Timing: doing the things that need to be done at the proper time. But the key here is knowledge, to have an understanding of, or to be aware of the times in which we are living. Proverbs 24:3-4 “Through wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” Here we see the progression of the steps that are ordered for man’s edification enumerated. If the house typifies a person, and it does, wisdom then represents the blueprint for that person’s life. It is through the understanding of the blueprint for that person’s life that the house is then established in accordance with what the blueprint defines that house or person should be. Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” In other words, a person needs to understand what God’s plan for their life is, that is wisdom, if that person tries to establish his/her life outside of God’s plan for their lives, they labor in vain, that is foolishness. It is through the knowledge and implementation of this revelation of the wisdom of God, that the rooms of the human heart are filled with pleasant and precious things, which are the fruits of the Spirit of God. How do I know whether or not I am living a life that is built on the wisdom of God? Proverbs 24:5, 10 “A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength...If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Proverbs is only stating the obvious, if our faith is failing it is only because of our failure to understand the knowledge of God’s purpose for our lives, and our present position in the tree of life. Let us look at the numbers: God completed the creation in six days; Moses tells us in Psalm 90 that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord; we have about six thousand years of recorded human history within the biblical genealogy. We are fast approaching the closing of the church age which is the sixth dispensation in God’s chronology before we enter into the seventh dispensation of God’s rest. Jesus told us that the last generation would be the product of a world that was at war, where nations rose against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, and that the end of the age would come before that generation ended. Daniel told us that in the last generation knowledge would increase exponentially and that travel would be world wide. By this many signs we can conclude that our position in the tree of life is that of fruit that is ripen and ready to be harvested; so that our lives need to be built in accordance to that. Did you know that for us, the saints of the end times, we are a generation that will leave no history behind us. What history will record about the saints of the end is that Jesus came and redeemed them. If you read the book of the Acts of the Saints it does not end, it is left open so that a future entry can be made on behalf of the saints that left no legacy other than that of remaining watchful and faithful to the very end. John 21:1-2 “After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: Simon Peter, Thomas called the twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee (two), and two others of His disciples were together.” Both the names and the number of the disciples in this account, give us insight into how Jesus is going to show Himself when He returns at the end of times. In other words, this event happened to typify a future event that will occur in our present day end time. Peter represents the Rock or Truth found in the promises of the Word of God upon which God’s church was founded and which Jesus is coming to redeem. Thomas represents the once doubters who have been enlightened by the accuracy of Biblical prophecy concerning the truth of Jesus’ imminent return. Nathanael represents the gift of God, which is our eternal salvation that Jesus brings with Him. The two sons of Zebedee means the sons of thunder, for Jesus will appear like a bolt of lightning that flashes across the sky at His coming. And the two unnamed others are representative of the Two Witnesses who will return with Jesus and stay here on the earth after the rapture. And the total of seven disciples present at His return means that all those who are resurrected and rapture at that time enter into the Day of His Rest, the Sabbath, or seventh day. John 21:8 “But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with the fish.” The two hundred cubits symbolizes the two days or two thousand years that the church age has been dragging in the net with the fish, which is representative of the church age. John 21:11 “Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.” Here we see the completion of the harvested tree of life. Out of the six thousand years of time come forth one hundred and forty four generations, twenty four hours in one day represents twenty four generations every thousand years. 24 X 6 = 144 The church age is represented by the number seven. And the Two Witnesses that oversee here on the earth, after the rapture, the punishment inflicted on those who did not believe, to bring them to repentance, both of the Jews and of the church that were left behind. 144 generations + 7 the church + 2 witnesses = 153 grand total redeemed. We see this pattern also inside the Holy Place in the tabernacle of Moses, where the Table of Showbread had twelve loaves of bread that represented the twelve tribes of Israel. In Revelation chapter seven we see twelve thousand out of every tribe sealed: 12 X 12 = 144 or one hundred and forty four thousand. Opposite of the Table of Showbread, inside the Holy Place was the Menorah, the seven candle sticks which represented the church, the body of Christ. And on each side of the Menorah, two olive trees representative of the Two Witnesses, for a total of one hundred and fifty three, which completes the redemption of all the children of Light, a number so vast, that no one could count, and it can only be represented within the width and height of the Tree of Life. Revelation 7:9 “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands.” Make sure that you are one of those numbered , make sure that you are building your life in the expectation of Christ’s soon return. LOVE IN DOCTRINE The objective of this message is to teach the foundational truth of salvation as revealed in scripture, emphasizing that it is entirely the work of God through Jesus Christ and not dependent on man-made doctrines, rituals, or works. The message seeks to encourage believers to demonstrate the love of Christ in doctrine by confessing Him, defending Him, and sharing the gift of salvation through love rather than fear or rigid traditions. LOVE IN DOCTRINE Minister Lisa Kane April 2, 2023 Objective: The objective of this message is to teach the foundational truth of salvation as revealed in scripture, emphasizing that it is entirely the work of God through Jesus Christ and not dependent on man-made doctrines, rituals, or works. The message seeks to encourage believers to demonstrate the love of Christ in doctrine by confessing Him, defending Him, and sharing the gift of salvation through love rather than fear or rigid traditions. Synopsis: In Love in Doctrine, Lisa Kane opens with Psalm 38, declaring that salvation belongs to the Lord. She contrasts God’s simple plan of salvation with human tendencies to complicate it through rules, rituals, and doctrines. Drawing on Luke 23:39–43, she highlights the thief on the cross, who confessed his sin, defended Jesus, and received salvation without water baptism, works, or rituals—demonstrating the pure essence of grace. She then explores John 9, where a man born blind was healed by Jesus. Though initially ignorant of who Jesus was, he defended Him before the Pharisees, confessed his faith when confronted by Christ, and was saved. This account illustrates that salvation comes through confession and belief, not adherence to rigid traditions or fear-based teaching. Lisa warns against strange doctrines and emphasizes the necessity of love, referencing 1 John 4:18—perfect love casts out fear. She encourages believers to demonstrate God’s love through action, prayer, and compassion rather than rules or condemnation. The message also looks ahead prophetically, reminding listeners that the current age of grace is coming to an end, urging all to confess and defend Jesus Christ as Lord before it is too late. Ultimately, Love in Doctrine calls the church to move in the Spirit, edify one another, and present the gospel in the fullness of God’s love—drawing people to Christ not by terror, but by the demonstration of His perfect love and grace. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. Welcome. This message is called Love in Doctrine. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we thank you for your blessings on it. We pray for your anointing on it. We pray that we have the hearts open to receive and to believe and to demonstrate your love in doctrine to show what true salvation is. and that basics of the salvation that we now know belongs to you and is of you and only you, Father God. So, let us have the heart to demonstrate that love so that we can bless others with the gift of salvation that you've given us, Lord. In the glorious, wonderful name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God. Amen. Before I begin here, I we're in the process of getting ready to move and move to Missouri. So, we will be moving probably the end of June. So, we're gonna have open house here soon. So, there's changes going on all around here. So, anyways, I'm hoping that you guys uh the sound quality and the lighting is okay. It's going to be a little echoey. And then, of course, I've got the door open because it's a beautiful spring day. The temperature, I believe, is um like it was 69 or 70 degrees earlier, so very, very pleasant. So, anyways, let's get into it. Let's go to our opening scripture here. Psalm 38. Salvation belongs to the Lord. Your blessing is upon your people. Hallelujah. Your salvation belong salvation belongs to the Lord. You know, it is so amazing how we want to take salvation to the next level. Take a look at the Philippines and they're going to be doing this right about this time of the year because we're coming into uh resurrection day next Sunday. This is Palm Sunday. And what they do is they actually put themselves up on a cross and they they crucify themselves. although they live through it, they take them down before they there's serious harm. But the point is is they feel the need to be able to demonstrate what Jesus did. Every one of us has something where we want to do something for God or we we feel that we need to do something for our salvation. Well, you know what? I'm going to tell you biblically speaking, there's nothing we can do. It's all God's salvation. Now, if we want to choose to live for Christ, that's that's what we can do. And I hope I can encourage that and bring that across to you in this message. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you two men that were saved by Jesus and show you how the salvation works and how you can receive. Amen. So, we're going to start here at the cross actually for Palm Sunday. Isn't that amazing? We're in Luke 23:39-43. Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us." But the other answering rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds. But this man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today, you will be with me in paradise." Oh, how beautiful this demonstration of salvation is. So, what I want to show you is is compare this to some doctrines that exist out there. Now, I am not going to name doctrines. I am not going to bring any of that here. You're already familiar with it. either you've taught it or you've heard it taught to you or you tr you live by it right now. Well, we're going to show you some of the basics and compare the scripture to doctrine. So, if you notice here, there was something very very neat here that this man did. So, you've got this one criminal. Okay? So, here's Jesus. He's on the cross and he's got two other people on the side of them. Now, they're being this is a curse. So these two criminals got caught uh as thieves. They were stealing and they got caught and they were being crucified with Jesus. So the three of them are being killed at the same time. This is how they do that back in those days. And this one criminal starts mocking God while he's up on the cross. And the the the criminal that defends Jesus says, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you're under the same condemnation? We're all in the same boat here. What do you think is gonna happen next? Yeah. In other words, you better get your mind right with God now because you're about to die. But this guy's mocking Jesus like it's no big deal. But you know, he he you know what this criminal does is he defends Jesus because what does he do next? He says, "Hey, we're the ones, look at this, he confesses his sins. He says, "We indeed justly for we receive the due rewards of our deeds." In other words, we deserve to die. We were criminals. So, he confesses this right here. And then he goes even further to say, "But this man has done nothing wrong. He defended Jesus." And he recognized something here because look what he says next. Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And then Jesus said to him, "Assuredly I say to you today you will be with me in paradise." This man, this thief, this criminal, a confessed criminal gets saved by the salvation, the grace and the mercy that Jesus has for us. He is saved. That is absolutely incredible. So what? Let's compare it to doctrine. Now, did he get water baptized? No. Did he get baptized by the Holy Spirit? No. Did he get off the cross, go door to door knocking on people's doors to be saved? There's no scripture to support that at all. He did not get back off that cross. He died. He died on that cross with Jesus. He was saved and he wasn't There's a lot of doctrine that tells you you have to be baptized by the Holy Spirit or or waterbaptized to be saved. That's not true. That is not scriptural. That is the enemy sneaking things in there because man, human want to put rules and regulations in place where Jesus says, "All I'm asking you to do is confess and defend." Hallelujah. So, this is where the basic of salvation is. It's at this level where all you've got to do is defend Jesus and confess that you're a sinner and you need him. You see, this is what this man on the cross did. And he got saved. And he never went and lived for Christ. He never had the opportunity to do any of that. And in essence, he was saved by the hair on his chinny chin chin. Hallelujah. So now there's another man that went through the same thing. And this is found in John nine. So I'm going to go through John nine, the bulk of the chapter, but just in pieces as we talk about it. But I encourage you again, do some homework and read about this whole man's life here in John chapter nine. Amen. So let's go. We're going to start here in John chapter nine. We're looking at verses 1-5 in the beginning here. So now as Jesus passed by, he saw a man who was blind from birth. Look at what his disciples did. And his disciples asked him, saying, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents that he was born blind?" So pause here for a moment. It is a known fact. And it is scriptural that the consequence of sin are diseases and sicknesses inside our bodies. In fact, that's what kills us. We're dying. So even though we're aging, we're going to eventually die due to age. But that corrupts the flesh. Aging corrupts the flesh. So here, this man was born blind. So everyone thinks what is natural somebody sinned and cause causes to happen. Jesus says, "Not look at this." He says, "Jesus answered, neither this man nor his parents did, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world." So Jesus says, "This was done on purpose. Oh, imagine this man. Oh, you thinking about the beginning of your lives and the woe woe is me. Wo was that because I have no in fact I don't think he wasn't just blind. I think he was born without eye sockets altogether. But either way here this man spin and I he's a young man. Uh I'm guessing somewhere's around the age of 20 and he is just he he's been born this way. And so Jesus decides to heal him. He he mixes clay. Go read the scripture. I'm not going to bring these scriptures out, otherwise it'll be too long of a message. But he takes the clay, spits in it, puts it on his eyes, and tells him to go wash. The man washes, and voila, he's got eyes. He can see. Now, let's look what happened next because wow, you would think this is an absolute wonderful miracle. Who cares who did it? No, no, no. This is like uh let's get into scripture. Uh, let's not get uh go down a rap trail here. Verse 13, they brought him who formerly was blind to the Pharisees. This is now this is what I was going to say. When you go into, let's say, the government grills like recently the CEO of Tik Tok. So, they go after you don't think this, don't you? This is Satan. That's what the Pharisees and the Sadducees are doing. And you know what? It's nothing new under the sun. They're still doing it today. But anyways, let's come back and look at this. It says, "Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes." Rule. There's a rule in place. I'm gonna pause here for just a quick moment because I need you to hear this. Take a look at all the denominations that exist in the world today. Take a look at all the denominations that have existed in the past but don't exist today or how dead they are today. Why? because they put rules in place that they could not allow themselves to accept the new wine from God because God just explained the basics of salvation. And here the church is trying to tell you we have to do this, you have to do that, you and no, salvation is confession and defending Jesus. The basics is there. You get saved just by doing that. Yes, we want people to live for God. Yes, you have a calling on your life. Yes, you have blessings and promises that you can grab on to and hold to because that's what God tells his people that are saved. Then you make that choice to do that. But that's not a requirement to get into heaven. Understand that. Understand that big difference here. And I want you to see that. Now, let's continue on here. He says it was the Sabbath. So verse 15, then the Pharisees also asked him again how he had received his sight. He said to them, he put clay on my eyes and I washed and I see. Therefore, some of the Pharisees says, "This man is not from God because he does not keep the Sabbath." There's that rule again. Others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such things?" And there was a division among them. So one, they think Jesus is a sinner because we're all sinners. So they didn't see him as a son of God. They missed that. Two, they had these rules and regulations in place that, oh, don't you dare hear. This man's been blind for 20 years. What the rule is? You got to wait one more day because you can't do it on the Sabbath. Well, you know what? This man needs relief now. He needs healing now. He might not make it to the next day. So, you can see how hard the Pharisees and the Sadducees are. And you can compare that to some churches and some doctrines. So you have to be very careful. Now that doesn't mean you go and accuse them and hate them or do a bad review on them. No. What you do is you go to God. Say, "God, these people need a change. Help them. Open their eyes to see." You see, now you start doing p prayer. And prayer is so powerful. It changes things like that. This is why we have revivals from time to time because the Lord is pouring out a new wine in that person who finally lets go of all the restrictions. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on and see what what else happens here. So now the Pharisees go. So now they're going to go ask the parents about this blind man. Look at this. His parents answered them, said, "We know that our that this is our son and that he was born blind. But by what means he now sees, we do not know. Or who opened his eyes, we do not know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself." His parents said these things because they feared the Jews. For the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that he was Christ the Messiah, he would be put out of the synagogue. Now, you see what's going on here? Christ the Messiah. They're now saying, "This guy's not the Messiah. He's not the son of God. And if you dare say he is, we're kicking you out of the synagogue." So these parents are like, "Well, let's put it back. Go back and talk to our son. We don't know what happened. We weren't there." So here the Pharisees are grilling, grilling, grilling. They went after the parents. Guess what? They go back to the the the blind man. Look at this. This is verse 24. So they again called a man who was blind and said to him, "Give God the glory. We know that this man is a sinner." And he answered and said, "Whether he's a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know that though I was blind, I now see." Then they said to him again, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?" He answered them, "I told you already, and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become his disciples?" Okay, this kid, young man, has defended Christ. Notice he's not a believer. He doesn't know who Jesus is. He has not confessed his sins. He has not done anything that he is defending Jesus because he was healed. And these Pharisees are making a mockery of it. And he says, "No, no, no, no." And then he goes, "What is it? What's wrong with you? Do you want to be his disciple?" Oh, I promise you that ticked them off. They're livid. Now, let's continue and see what else happens here. Verse 34. Now, they answered and said to him, "You are completely born in sins and are you teaching us because he went back and he was sharing what Jesus did and he's telling them what's going on." And now they're mad. You're trying to teach us. We're the ones who know what's going on. Yeah, right. They don't. They're missing the whole point. Look at this. And they cast him out. So now they cast him out completely. He's out of the synagogue. You must be a believer in Christ because you're not part of us because you broke the rules and you shouldn't have been healed. I mean, that's the reality of what these guys are saying. What a joke these Pharisees and Sadducees are. This is why Jesus called them a brood of vipers. Oh man. Oh, I would have been standing there next to him applauding. But I live today and I didn't live then. So, and this is hindsight of course as I see this. Let's continue on and see what happens. Now, Jesus heard, this is verse 35. Jesus heard that they had cast him out. And when he found him, so he went and found the blind man. Says, when he found him, he said to him, "Do you believe in the son of God?" Now, look at watch this dialogue. Watch what this blind man who's now seeing says. He says, he answered and said, "Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?" And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen him, and it is he who is talking with you." Then the blind man said, "Lord, I believe." And he worshiped him. He was saved. He believed. He believed that Jesus Christ is the son of God. He had been talking to him. He asked Jesus directly. Jesus answered him directly, "You're talking to the son of God." "Well, then I believe." So, he confessed. Well, he defended Jesus first as a non-confessor, then he confessed Jesus and he believed. Look at what Paul says about in Romans, Romans 10:9, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I've taught so much on that message, that verse alone. It is incredible. But there's the basics of salvation. That is what I'm talking about. He confessed, he believed, and he was saved. So now you see these two men, one on the cross, and one here in everyday life that was blind, got healed. And by the way, he was healed and he wasn't a believer. Please understand, you don't need to be healed and be a believer, too. You You don't. God wants to heal everybody. and he will because that's what he wants to do. He wants to bless you. He wants to bring you into the fold that sometimes some people need a healing in order to believe. Now look at what John says in the epistle 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, but because fear involves torment, but he who fears has not been made perfect in love. When you're trying to teach by a doctrine that goes against the very basics of the scriptures, you're pouring terror and fear into the people. And let me give you a word of advice. People nowadays are so desensitized by everything that's going on and they're playing all these video games. Fear does not affect them anymore. But look at the epistle here. He says, "There is no fear in love." Imagine. I get it. There are some people that will never live for Christ. That's okay. As long as they believe that Jesus is the son of God and confess that they're a sinner, they're saved. Wouldn't it be better to get them saved that way? Even if they choose not to live for Christ, to get them saved that way, we can have less people go to hell. I do not wish anyone to go to hell. This is why I'm trying to teach this message because I'm hoping that eyes will open and ears will hear. I rather they get saved even if they choose not to live for Christ. By the way, choosing to live for Christ is a choice. You choose whether you want to do that or not. And that's up to you and God. Now, I encourage you to choose to live for God because there are promises and blessings where one, when you're spending time with God, you're not in sin. Sin runs because you're in the presence of God. Two, there are no sicknesses in the presence of God, which means you're healed. These are the blessings and the promises you get to live and you have the blessing of a long life. You can go years living for Christ and be so content with God, be at peace and have that joy, all that that that stuff that surpasses every everybody's understanding. And they're going to look at you and they're going to see you as a walking testimony. That is how you minister and show them the love of God so they can believe. Cuz right now the world is hard and selfish and they're living in darkness. When they see you different, they come back and say, "Wow, what is it that you have?" When they ask, you get to tell them who you have. The precious gem of Jesus. Let me share you, share him with you. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's continue on in Hebrews 13:es 8 and 9. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. You see, we eat spiritual food when you're in the word of God. But when you're eating the world's food, you're not in the presence of God. And so what happens is you're and here's another promise and a blessing that you have. You get to see false doctrine when you're spending time with God. So when you're not though, you can get easily confused and dissuade. And I I encourage you to spend time with Christ. But it takes just confession and just defending him as the son of God, declaring Jesus Christ as the son of God. And let me just also tell you another blessing here. Salvation is coming to an end. This age, this era that we're in, which is called the dispensation of grace, is ending. We have what's called a seven-year tribulation period coming in for the Israelites because God is not done dealing with the Israelites. Well, on day one, known as the day of the Lord or the day of wrath, that day, salvation ends. I don't know what time. I don't know where it's going to be on that day, but what I do know is that when you enter into the seven-year tribulation, if you do not call Jesus as the son of God, you will most likely die in that seven-year tribulation. Why? Because men that survive it will be finer than gold over gold. I'm guessing it's going to be less than 10 people that survive the seven-year tribulation, just like the days of Noah. Noah, there was eight of them. That's all they survived. And that's all God needed to repopulate the earth. And he will repopulate the earth for the thousand-y year millennium. So, this is very, very key, very important. You're most likely going to die during that seven-year tribulation, but you can't avoid it. So, before that day or on that day, as long as you declare that Jesus Christ is the son of God and you believe, you're saved. that and confess and let God know you're a sinner. Let him know you messed up. It's okay because guess what? We were all born into sin and we've all messed up. And some of us have done worse things than others. That's still okay because God Jesus has love for you that is so abounding, so bountiful that he just he loves you so much. He wants to save you no matter what. Amen. He wants to save you no matter what. This is how God moves. And this is how you can avoid hell. Amen. Amen. Amen. Oh, I I encourage you. Confess and defend Jesus right now. Hebrews 4 1-6. I therefore the prisoner of the Lord beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called. Now, I want you to see the difference about walking with Christ and choosing Christ as your Lord and Savior for the rest of your life. That the man on the cross did not get to have that opportunity. But I'm telling you, his death might have been a little more peaceful than the other one. He had a mental stability that held him together as he went through that, whereas the other man didn't. This is how it is when you choose to live for Christ first. You put him first in your life. Look at what happens. Look at the what is our worthy of calling here with which you were called. Look at verse two. With all loneliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. You see how God changes the inside of us? We become like him. Longsufferers. We see the frustration of the world. But love them. You do it in love with in bearing with one another in love. Look at verse three. Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in bond of peace. There is one body and one spirit just as you were called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God, one Father of all, who is above all and through all and in you all. Hallelujah. The moment you do this, God, you allow him to change you. You allow the spirit of God, the breath, the numa to move you in ways. He moves your conscience. He changes it. You're no longer selfish. You're no longer living to the world because you put God first and you get his promises and benefits as a result of that. That is the God we serve. Hallelujah. Let's continue in verse seven. But to each one of us, grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift. Therefore, he says when he ascended on high, he led captivity captive and he gave gifts to men. Now, verse nine. Now, this he ascended, what does it mean that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? God came down for you, knowing full well you're dirty, stinky, and you're in sin. But he came down anyways. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He who descended is also the one who ascended far above the heavens that he might fill all things. He ascended. He rose from the dead. He is alive and well. This is why we celebrate Palm Sunday and resurrection day because he came out of that grave. He is not dead and no other religion can say that about anyone. This is the relig. This is Christianity is not a religion. It it is a um something that offends so many people and causes strife and division which Jesus said that's why I came that the world might be saved. Hallelujah. And he himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers. You see, you have a calling on your life. Now, you can choose to walk away. It is your choice. Isn't that even more better? You have the choice. And know that God is there for you. He will keep you. Now, he will send you curses. He will even send you the devil to get your attention if you far you stray far off the path. He will go after you. He ain't giving up on you. Amen. And look at verse 12. For the equipping of the saints, for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And that's exactly what we need to be doing, edifying one another, encouraging one another, lifting up one another. And imagine you getting edified by somebody else. And you're working under unity, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Do you know that when you go into the beginning of Acts and you read how the first church started? They started under the direction of the Holy Spirit, not a pastor. So today's church isn't even set up right yet because God is getting ready to pour out his new wine skin. And the anointing of the Holy Spirit is getting everybody ready. He's getting the bride of Christ ready. So we're going to have this new wine skin on us. And our master is the Holy Spirit. We're going to be move. And what's the spirit? That's the breath that moves us. That's what changes our conscience, our soul. And because it moves us and changes us, we get ready to edify and go into ministry to save more because there's a lot of people in this world. Amen. Let's continue on there because that is very powerful. Uh till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God to a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. That is verse 13. By the way, I left off the one. My humble apologies. Verse 14. That we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery of men in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. but speaking the truth in love may grow up in all things into him who is the head Christ from whom the whole body joined and knit together by what every joint supplies according to the effective working by which every part does its share causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Do you see that the love there? How that is such a critical ingredient to moving under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So here church and I do speak to the bride of Christ. Stop trying to terrorize people to get saved. Show them the love because the love will cast out fear. Perfect love will draw them in. You know honey draws in more than you will ever know. They want people are craving love. Look at people who walk around with help animals or um anyways the animals that do help them. Uh they need that because they feel insecure and they need an animal to be there. Well, in Christ you don't need an animal. You need Christ. And with Christ, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. There is no fear. It is perfect love. And when people see you acting, operating, moving, and speaking those words, they humble themselves and they they're like, "How do I get that? That's how you minister. That's how you get them saved." And as we're evangelizing, this is how we do it. Through his perfect love. Oh, hallelujah. Look at in Titus 3:4. But when the kindness and the love of God our savior toward men appear, toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness. And by the way, it says, "But when the kindness and the love of God, our savior toward man appeared." That is Jesus. That is Jesus going to the cross. That is when he appeared. Like it says here, not by works of righteousness, which we have done because that's what we do. We try to do things in righteousness by mankind. I got the right way, Lord. No, you don't. Let the Holy Spirit do it because I can't save anybody. it. I can't do that. Why? Because it is the spirit. It's not by might. It's not by power. But it is by my spirit, says the Lord. Hallelujah. Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit. This is what he did on the cross. And he did it with perfect love. That is the love example that we should do. We should sacrifice our time for people. We should sacrifice our food to help people. This is how you live in love for Christ. You demonstrate the love of God and you move in that because the anointing of the Holy Spirit is the numa, the power, and he moves through you, causing you. If you see somebody who is walking around outside of a gas station, they look lost and confused, missing a shoe, they look homeless, and they probably stink. Go to them. They need your help. If they don't want to take it, you pray for them and you keep praying for them until they're saved. That is how this works. And you've got the power prayer. You're more powerful than our government. Your prayer is more powerful than our government. You're the more powerful person as the as a person saved by Christ. So take up your promises and your blessings and pray them forth not just for yourself but for others who need it so that they can confess and defend Jesus as their Lord and Savior and become believers and choose to walk for Christ. Hallelujah. What a beautiful blessing of a message this is. We are blessed by having the word of God, the holy living word of God, the Bible, as our doctrine. And we're not getting mixed up and confused. As long as you put that helmet of salvation on, snap it under your chin, it ain't going anywhere. And the devil's doctrine won't enter your brain. Hallelujah. Oh, how I encourage you to stand up for love and stand up for the Messiah, the son of God. confess Jesus as the son of God because he is. And then tell him, "Yeah, I know you're the son of God and I'm told that you can save. I'm asking you to save me because I'm a sinner." Oh, hallelujah. That is saving people. And I hope that you begin to do it and be bold and do it with confidence. Look at the boldness of the thief on the cross. Lord, remember me when you enter your kingdom. And Jesus says, "I promise you, I will see you at paradise tonight." Oh, how precious and beautiful salvation is. And I truly hope that each and every one of us can put aside what we think is doctrine and righteousness and the proper way to get people saved and just simply say, "Jesus is the son of God and I was a sinner. He saved me." That's what confession is all about. Hallelujah. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word. We thank you for opening our eyes and ears to see and hear. We thank you. We pray and ask for your perfect love to reside in us. That we may demonstrate that love and that we may be able to get people saved even if it's just by the skin of their teeth or the hair on their chinny chin chin. Lord, we thank you for your living word. We thank you for the confession that you've given us, the the free gift that you've given us by going and redeeming us and saving us by the blood of Jesus. By your blood on that cross, thank you. Thank you for the remission of sins. Lord, we are saved. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for showing us how to walk with you, how to sa be saved, and how to put our words to good youth use. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. God bless you and I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next

  • THE ANOINTED VOW | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE ANOINTED VOW The objective of this teaching is to reveal the spiritual significance of making an anointed vow before God, and how His anointing works in harmony with His promises, timing, and purposes. It aims to show that salvation, calling, and consecrated vows are not forgotten by the Lord, but are sealed by His anointing, which continues to call out to Him until His Word is fulfilled in the believer’s life. THE ANOINTED VOW Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to reveal the spiritual significance of making an anointed vow before God, and how His anointing works in harmony with His promises, timing, and purposes. It aims to show that salvation, calling, and consecrated vows are not forgotten by the Lord, but are sealed by His anointing, which continues to call out to Him until His Word is fulfilled in the believer’s life. Synopsis: The Anointed Vow examines the relationship between vows, anointing, and the divine timing of God’s promises. Using Jacob’s vow at Bethel as a foundational text (Genesis 31:13), Pastor Marcos explains that God always remembers anointed prayers and vows, even when believers forget them. He illustrates this truth through personal testimony, showing how a prayer for understanding prophecy was answered years later, on the exact anniversary of his vision of the rapture. The teaching outlines a clear process of divine fulfillment: Salvation – entering into God’s grace and being qualified for His purpose. Answering the Call – responding actively to His holy calling. Making a Vow – consecrating one’s life in surrender to God’s will. Following God’s Leading – obeying His direction faithfully. Forsaking the World – walking the narrow path of tribulation and rejecting false gospels of comfort. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that vows made in faith are sealed with God’s anointing, which acts like a spiritual watchman, continuously interceding before the Lord until the promise is fulfilled. Just as Jerusalem’s destiny has been proclaimed for millennia and is still being carried forward by God’s anointing, so too are believers’ lives carried by their anointed vows. Ultimately, this lesson teaches that the process of salvation, calling, vow, and anointing requires endurance and time, but it assures believers that God never forgets. His anointing guarantees that His purposes will be fulfilled in the lives of those who remain faithful. Inspired Teaching: Genesis 31:13 “I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed the pillar and where you made a vow to Me. Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family.” There are many facets to God’s anointing and to the power that flows out of His anointing, in this lesson we will deal with the timing aspect of God’s anointing. Galatians 4:4 “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.” If you have been a Christian for a while, you know that the fulfillment of God’s promises always follows a clearly prescribed path. God gives us the promise, we believe in the promise that He gives us, and at the appropriate time we see its fulfillment take place in our lives. I believe that there is an aspect of God’s anointing, be it personal or corporal, that follows the same principle. Whenever we see a revival taking place, whether it be in a church, a city, or even a nation, it is the result of an anointed vow that persons made in the past concerning the areas where the revival is taking place. Keep this in mind, God always answers anointed prayers, even long after we have forgotten that we prayed them. I had a vision of the rapture that transformed everything in my Christian way of life back in February 12, 1989. As a result of the vision I searched desperately for a way to understand prophecy. Eight years to the very date, the book of Revelation finally made sense to me. I even wrote a book about it, it is called Man’s Final Destiny, where I put end time prophecy into the proper and understandable perspective as it is portrayed in the book of Revelation. I had gathered and compiled a great deal of notes and references while I endeavor to understand prophecy, along with those many notes I had a notebook where I had chronicled past daily reading of Scripture and the notes that I took while I was reading them. As I started to put those implements away since I now had the information that had eluded me all those years, I opened the notebook of past prayers to see where to store it, when an entry dated February 12 caught my eye, since this was the anniversary of my vision of the rapture. It turns out that years earlier before I had the vision of the rapture, I had read a Scripture in the book of Revelation and could not understand what it meant. I wrote the Scripture in the notebook and next to it I wrote an entry where I asked the Lord, would He please give me the ability to understand prophecy. So here I had evidence of a sincere prayer that I had prayed years earlier that I had forgotten, and God made sure that I would know that it was an answer to that simple prayer that I had prayed earlier by making the events to take place in the same calendar day. Both the vision of the rapture that compelled me to search and the day when it all finally made sense to me, fell on the anniversary of that simple anointed prayer. Genesis 28:17-19 “And he was afraid and said, ‘How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!’ Then Jacob rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a pillar, and poured oil on top of it. And he called the name of that place Bethel (house of God); but the name of that city had been Luz previously.” Then Jacob proceeded to make a vow before the Lord, and it was in answer to the anointed vow that Jacob had made earlier that has our opening text where God tells him to, 'Now arise, get out of this land, and return to the land of your family'. The prayer, the vow, the anointing, in faith believing in God’s promises; it is all a process, and a process always requires the passing of time. But to be sure, no matter how long it takes, whether we remember or have forgotten, God never forgets, for it is the presence of the anointing that serves as watchmen that are always there to remind Him. Isaiah 62:6-7 “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” We see the same principle at work in the verse above. Jerusalem’s destiny is to be the city of the Great King, for Jesus will rule the earth from there during His thousand-year reign, when He will make Jerusalem to become a praise in the earth. Now during Isaiah’s day that future reign was about twenty-seven hundred years away, we are almost there now, but all this time the anointing has not ceased to call out to God to perform it. In the same manner there is an anointing that covers each one of us who believes in His promises, that anointing is continuously calling out to God to perform that which He has promised to do for us. 1 John 2:20 “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things (intuitively).” How do we sort all this out? We need to understand the process! 2 Timothy 1:9 “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” First notice how Paul makes it clear that the holy calling is not according to our own works, but according to His own purpose and grace. Grace here means His gifts for us and that before time itself ever began. Step number one: We need to get saved! We need to understand that even before the creation, we were destined, and created to fulfill a purpose, His own purpose. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory (our destiny) of God.” But since we all have inherited a corrupt nature, we need to get saved that is we need to become born again of an incorruptible nature. Once we become saved, we are now qualified once again to fulfill His destiny for us, which when we do, it is all to the glory of God. Colossians 1:12 “Giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.” Step number two: We need to answer the holy calling! Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” The only ones chosen are the ones who answer the call, not just in word but in deed as well. Matthew 6:10 “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We answer the holy calling when we consecrate ourselves to bring about God’s kingdom upon this earth and His good and perfect will in our lives. Step number three: We make a holy vow before the Lord! Deuteronomy 12:26 “Only the holy things which you have (our holy calling), and your vowed offerings (our lives), you shall take and go to the place which the Lord chooses (which is His destiny for us). His salvation for us qualifies us to answer His holy calling, and in order for us to perform His holy calling in our lives, we need to take an oath of office if you will, and the only thing that we can bring into this oath is our positive answer to His call and a surrender of our lives to fulfill it. As we make a vow before the Lord, the Lord seals it with His anointing oil, which then continuously calls out to God to perform in us that which He originally destined us to be, as long as we stay the course. Step number four: He leads, and we follow! I pleasantly remember those early days of our Christian youth, when both, my wife and I would fall before the altar of our church whenever the Holy Spirit was moving in our midst, and there we would cry out to God: we will go where you want us to go, over mountains, over plains, over seas, and we will do what you want us to do! Other than to teach His Word, I never got any specific assignment or thing that I was to do, I just served in whatever area there was a need. But as I look back now I can see how important those early day vows were to our Lord. For it was there that the Lord placed His anointing over our lives that still directs our paths to this very day. Step number five: Forsake the world, Get out of this land! As the Lord told Jacob. Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult (confined) is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” The allure of this world system is ease; live it up. Why should you suffer confinement instead of comfort? Keep it simple and avoid as much tribulation and persecution as you possible can. This so call gospel radiates out of many churches today, but Jesus warned us about this false gospel, not to fall for it. Matthew 7:15-16 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?” Remember how the Lord told us that in this world we would have tribulation; so that the confinement of the true Gospel is the world’s aim, so that if we are suffering tribulation for the stand that we take, we know then that we are entering in the narrow gate and following the road of difficulties for that is His good and perfect will for us. • DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT The objective of this teaching is to instruct believers on how to honor and preserve the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries. Pastor Marcos emphasizes the necessity of walking in alignment with God’s calling, maintaining humility and unity, and understanding the unique functions of the fivefold ministry. The goal is to ensure that Christians live and serve in a way that builds up the body of Christ and does not hinder or grieve the Holy Spirit, who is essential for all true ministry. DO NOT GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to instruct believers on how to honor and preserve the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and ministries. Synopsis: In Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit, Pastor Marcos unpacks Paul’s warning in Ephesians 4:30, reminding the church that ministry apart from the Spirit is ineffective. He begins by stressing the importance of believers knowing and walking in their specific calling, as failing to do so disrupts the Spirit’s flow and hinders spiritual growth. Using an illustration from his personal work experience, he highlights that God alone determines and equips each person’s role, and success comes from faithfulness to that call rather than comparison with others. Pastor Marcos then explains the necessity of humility, patience, and unity in ministry. He warns against desiring positions outside of one’s calling for reasons of pride or prestige, as such attitudes grieve the Spirit and harm the body. Every gift and calling, he notes, is for the equipping of the saints and the edification of the one body of Christ. The teaching then explores the functions of the fivefold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—comparing them to the five senses of the human body, which allow Christ’s body to function effectively on earth. Apostolic and prophetic ministries provide foundational truth, evangelists win souls, pastors guard and feed the flock, and teachers store and distribute the treasures of God’s Word. Each role is vital, and misalignment or neglect diminishes the church’s health. Ultimately, Pastor Marcos reminds readers that grieving the Spirit occurs when believers ignore their God-given assignments, serve with the wrong attitudes, or fail to honor the structure God established for His church. He calls Christians to embrace their calling, walk in unity and humility, and serve faithfully under the Spirit’s anointing so that the body of Christ may grow into the fullness of Christ. Inspired Teaching: Ephesians 4:30 “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” In Ephesians chapter four Paul is dealing with the church from the perspective of what God’s call is to the body of Christ for ministry, Paul is dealing with all levels of ministry. By the time that he gets to the end of the chapter he adds the above warning: Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, almost as a redundant warning of something that should have been obvious to all who were serving our Lord back then, and that is that, without the Holy Spirit there is no true ministry. Unfortunately, what was very clear to the believers of Paul’s day has become somewhat muddled in our present time, because there are many ministries today that do not function under the unction of the Holy Spirit. Let us begin under the assumption that the ministers and ministry types that we are going to examine here, are all called by God and abide in true service to God; then let us ask this question: How do I personally, and how do we as a body, keep from grieving the Holy Spirit of God when rendering to Him what is our due reverence to Him, our service? Number One: We need to know what our calling is! Ephesians 4:1 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Not knowing what our calling is, and that we are all called, will surely hinder in us the flow of the Holy Spirit that is so vital for our spiritual growth, and so necessary for our training and edification. Imagine getting hired to work in a large department store or factory, and when we get there we have no idea as to what place or division we are to report to. We wouldn't just start working and serving aimlessly somewhere in that place in the hope that somebody from the placement department that hired us to begin with will eventually find us and send us to our proper destination. Yet, that is what many Christians do, after they get saved instead of seeking what God’s ministry and calling is for them, they just serve out of place where others are glad to have their help, but it will not profit the person that is in the wrong place any, because as far as management is concerned, they did not show up to work where they were needed. Number Two: We need to have the right attitude, a humbled spirit! Ephesians 4:2-3 “With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another with love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” There are some that after they get saved, have a desire to serve in a ministry that they are not called to perform, because in their eyes this other ministry is a more glamorous ministry than the one, they know they were called to; this too is grievous to the Holy Spirit. So that we are not only supposed to be in the right ministry, but we also need to have the right attitude about the ministry that we are in. Humility includes lots of patience also, and patience is needed because in a sense we are all in training. If we think that we can do a better job at what another person has been called to do, our tendency might be that of doing their part just because we can do it better and or faster than they can, and by us doing what they are supposed to be doing, we hinder their calling to the point that they will never get the training necessary to eventually fulfill their calling. I was involved in the making of a TV commercial once for the company that I worked for at that time. The setting was in a beautiful three story house in Malibu, California, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I was spraying the outside stucco of the house with a life long texture coating material, the owner of the company had arranged for a Hollywood crew that filmed commercials to be there the day that I was spraying. After they finished filming my part, they set up to the side of the house a tarp over the grass and put a bucket of paint into which one of the commercial making crew was to through a paint brush into, to make the emphasis that if you put our product on your house you could get rid of your paint and brushes, for you would never have to paint again. There were about eight people in the commercial filming crew, and this one fellow was assigned the task of throwing the brush into the paint bucket, a smile still comes to my face as I am telling you the story, for this fellow could not hit the inside of the bucket no matter how hard the poor fellow tried. Take after take, changing the angle, getting closer to the bucket, nothing, they tried everything. Others on the crew would have no problem hitting the inside of the bucket in just one or two tries, to which somebody in the filming crew suggested to the director that they might have to use somebody other than the person that was assigned for that job originally, so that they could get the commercial done. To my amazement, the director told them that this fellow was hired by the commercial company for that purpose and that the company knew best, and that they would be there until that poor fellow got the brush into the bucket. Encouraged by the unshaken commitment of his boss as to what his calling was, the young man got the brush in the bucket in the very next take, the cheers from all of us who were there were heard all the way back to Los Angeles. But I learned a spiritual lesson that day that has served me well through the years. When it comes to God’s calling for a person’s life, only God knows the magnitude and the impact that His gift and calling will have in that person’s life, and after all is not how you begin, but the depth of your heart’s commitment to your call that really matters. So that when serving the Lord in ministry, as I recognized the gift and the calling of God upon a person that was serving in whatever ministry it was that I was in charged of at the time, I would immediately set out to help them to develop their gifts no matter how inept or uncomfortable they appeared at first, knowing that someday that person would glorify Jesus in the exercising of their calling. I found out that if I kept getting myself replaced by somebody that was better than me at whatever it was that I was doing, that the body of Jesus was being edified and better served, after all that is what really matters. Ephesians 4:4-7 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” Although each one of us receives personal gifts, these gifts are always for the purpose of enabling and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry and for the edifying of the One body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12-13 “For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Number Three: Know what the function and emphasis of the five different offices of ministry are, for they embodied the qualities of leadership under which the church is and should be governed. Ephesians 4:11 “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers.” The church represents the physical body of Christ here on the earth, a physical body has five different senses, vision, hearing, smell, taste, touch, by which it navigates through life. The five offices of ministry are a spiritual representation of those five senses through which the body of Christ operates here on the earth. In order for us to be more effective in ministry, we need to know under which of those five offices, or combination of these offices, any given ministry into which we are involve with its functioning, for the spiritual emphasis will be different under each one of these five offices. Isaiah 29:10 “For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; and He has covered your heads, namely the seers.” Here we see how the Lord uses that metaphor against Israel. Their eyes represent the spiritual vision that enables their prophets to prophesy God’s Word to the nation, and if you cover the entire head, they are no longer even able to process the Word of God that they already had. The Apostolic and the Prophetic Ministries In our present day the apostles and their apostolic ministry, along with the prophets and their prophetic ministry, represent the foundation upon which the entire church is built. Ephesians 2:20-22 “Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building (the church), being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” If an apostle is one who lays the foundation, and he is, then no other foundation can be laid but that which has already been laid by the founding apostles, and all true prophets will testify to that. 1 Corinthians 3:11 “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.” The apostolic ministries of today are ministries that start brand new churches in places where no other churches existed before, but if their foundation is not that which has already been laid, then that ministry is not part of the building of God, for it has not been erected on the original foundation which Christ laid when He built His church. The ministry of today’s prophets is not the same as it was for the prophets of Jesus’ days, for through their prophetic ministry God gave to us the books that comprise the New Testament through which the foundation of the church was established, hence: Having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets there is nothing new that we can add. However, the prophets of today are the ones that proclaim that which was prophesied by the prophets of old, in both the Old and New Testaments, as being extremely relevant to what is going on in the world of today, they keep God’s yet to be fulfilled promises alive to the present generation. Also, the prophets of today testify against the so-called churches that are not built on the solid foundation of God’s apostolic church but are built on a deviation of what God originally intended His church to be built on. And if you are involved in an apostolic ministry that aims to start new churches where none ever existed before, make sure that they are being built in the apostolic pattern laid out for us in the New Testament, and in you helping them, model your service to them in the same manner that those who helped the apostles build their churches back then did, that is why we have His Word in the New Testament to aid us. The Evangelistic Ministry An evangelist is one who preaches the Gospel for the purpose of making converts. You may ask, how does that differ from one who teaches and by his teaching leads others to the Lord? Or from a pastor who preaches and makes converts through his preaching? Salvation is not limited to any one ministry, for the Holy Spirit convicts' sinners every time the Word of God is proclaimed no matter who proclaims it. But just like the eye may see something and it is confirmed by the ear hearing something, the evangelistic ministry is designed to work hand in hand with the other two. The heart of a true evangelist however is in leading sinners to Christ, he is not as concerned with who is going to disciple the convert, or who is going to teach them spiritual principles, for the evangelist knows that that is the work of the church. 2 Timothy 4:5 “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” The Ministry of the Pastor The ministry of the pastor revolves around the task of keeping the flock together, as his title implies. A pastor’s main concern is that of maintaining the house/church in proper working order. He not only feeds the flock with the Word of God, but he also steers it away from danger. God has appointed the pastors as the overseers of the spiritual heath and well being of the flock. If the enemy, like a wolf, comes against one of the members of his church, that enemy will have to go through that pastor’s authority and watchful eyes in order to get to that member. So that the pastor is not overwhelmed by all his responsibilities, God brings into the church teachers, evangelists, administrators, and divers helps, that means everybody in the congregation, that allows that pastor to focus his energy into keeping his flock safe from spiritual attacks. If a pastor surrounds himself with wise elders that will inform and advise him truthfully about the spiritual condition of the church, what they see from their perspectives, that pastor will have everything that he needs to maintain his people safe, but if he ignores their wise counsel, his people will suffer the consequences. Nothing worse than a pastor that thinks that he knows everything, even David a wise shepherd himself, needed the counsel of the seers that God provided and surrounded him with. A pastor’s ministry is to build others up and not to tear them down, his ministry can be summed up by this verse of Scripture: Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” The Ministry of the Teacher Matthew 13:52 “He said to them, ‘Therefore every teacher of the law (the Word of God) who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.’” NIV Jesus really paints it with this verse as to what the nature and calling of a teacher really is. I once, during a time of fellowship with some very close friends who were asking if we could play some kind of constructive word game, suggested to them that we pretend that we were stranded in a desert island without our Bibles, and told them, let us see how much of John chapter one we can recreate from memory, and after we have exhausted every one of our recollections we will look it up and see how well we did. Well to begin with we could not even remember how many verses were in the whole chapter, can you without looking it up? A teacher of the Word of God may not really be able to literally, from his memory, have the ability to reconstruct all or even parts of the Word of God, but the essence of what that chapter was about was firmly etched in my heart. For that word had become real in my heart, and I went on to preach from it that night without opening a Bible. So that the ministry of a teacher of the Word of God is to store in the storeroom of his heart, the essence of the revelation that the Word of God brings to his enlightenment. To treasure the revelation that the Holy Spirit reveals into his heart to such a point that, they not only remember the revelation, but how it made them feel and the circumstances that brought the revelation about. An anointed teacher can be likened to a spiritual reservoir that can bring to a thirsty church rivers of living waters in the time of drought. 1 Samuel 3:1, 19 “Now the boy Samuel ministered to the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was rare in those days; there was no widespread revelation...So Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his (God’s) words fall to the ground.” Previous Next

  • GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS The objective of Gethsemane: The Oil Press is to reveal the spiritual principle of transformation through pressure, drawing from Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane as the ultimate example. Pastor Marcos teaches that just as olives must be crushed to produce oil, believers must endure life’s trials and surrender to God’s will in order to release the anointing, experience purification, and be transformed into Christ’s image. GETHSEMANE: THE OIL PRESS Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of Gethsemane: The Oil Press is to reveal the spiritual principle of transformation through pressure, drawing from Jesus’ prayer in Gethsemane as the ultimate example. Pastor Marcos teaches that just as olives must be crushed to produce oil, believers must endure life’s trials and surrender to God’s will in order to release the anointing, experience purification, and be transformed into Christ’s image. Synopsis: In this teaching, Pastor Marcos Marrero explains the deep spiritual symbolism of Gethsemane, the place of pressing, where Jesus prepared Himself to fully embrace the Father’s will. Using the imagery of olives being crushed to release valuable oil, he parallels the believer’s journey of faith, showing that transformation from the natural to the spiritual comes only through the pressing process. He emphasizes that the Christian life is not an escape from trials, but rather the pathway through which God brings forth purity, anointing, and eternal life. Just as wheat must die to bear fruit and olives must be crushed for oil, so too must the believer die to self in order to live fully in Christ. Pastor Marcos highlights that tribulation is not removed but transformed into peace when we surrender as Jesus did, praying, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” This surrender assures believers that every trial is part of God’s sanctifying process. The anointing itself, he notes, is tied to death—the burial anointing that leads to resurrection life. Ultimately, Gethsemane represents both struggle and victory. It is the place where the believer’s will is broken so that God’s will prevails, producing the oil of the Spirit that empowers, sanctifies, and completes us for eternal joy in Christ’s presence. Inspired Teaching: Mark 14:32 “Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, ‘Sit here while I pray’” In the natural it is hard to believe that sweet clear oil can come from olives; just judging by their appearance it would be difficult for many of us to figure out that olives can produce such a great and valuable commodity if we did not know about them already. The Bible uses God’s creation in many different ways as a metaphor or in other words, God uses physical things that we naturally understand to reveal spiritual principles which are naturally difficult for us to understand, that is why Jesus used so many parables in His teachings. It would be extremely hard for, let’s say, creatures that know about the goodness and holiness of Almighty God, and who also know and are well aware of the rottenness of man, to think that in any way, shape, or form we humans are created in the image of God, but we are. And that is exactly the idea that this metaphor is trying to convey to us. Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” The first thing that this metaphor teaches us is that the transition between humanity and divinity is a process, a difficult, some will say impossible process, but as the angel told Mary, God specializes in making those things which are impossible a reality. The foundational principle of this process is revealed in the reality of the life and death struggle that is found throughout the creation. Mark 14:34 “Then He said to them, ‘My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch.’” Everything in creation speaks of the struggles between life and death, beginning and ending, and the continuance of life through procreation. Spiritual procreation however, and by that I mean the human transformation that takes place from natural to spiritual, from mortality to immortality, as well as the born again experience, cannot be attained unless one dies first. We see this in the creation as well, it is called metamorphosis. John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.” This process of dying to self so that we can become alive to God can be best understood by the Gethsemane principle that Jesus taught us. John 12:25 “He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” The Gethsemane principle is one of slowly applying pressure until a separation takes place, the liquid must be removed from the solid, in our case, our souls which are spiritual in nature must be weaned from their dependence to the flesh, if the transformation is going to be successful. Psalm 131:2 “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.” This principle is at odds with some of what we hear taught today about Christianity, for in some instances Christian doctrine is offered as a way to get away from pressure, sort of like a refuge from reality. I kind of get the impression sometimes that what some are preaching is, Come to Jesus and all your troubles and poverty will magically disappear, and you will have no more struggles with life. But that is not what Jesus said, unfortunately those who come to Jesus on the basis of a false premise are more likely to quit and give up. John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus makes it very clear that the aim of the process is not to remove the tribulation, the pressure that we are under while we are in the world; but rather that we may attain His peace in the middle of the tribulation. We convert the physical pressures of this world into spiritual peace, a peace that is not of this world, and the way that we know that we can do that is because He not only did it before us, but He showed us how to do it as well. And this is how He did it: Mark 14:36 “And He said, ‘Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.’” Here is how I see it: If I know that all of my sins have been forgiven, and if I know that my daily walk with Him is one that continuously depends on His grace and mercy which are new every morning, and if I know that that is what keeps me in right standing with Him; then I know that if I am facing a difficult situation and I ask Him to remove it from me, for I much rather not drink of that cup if you will, of whatever it is that I am facing, and if He does not remove it from me, I am immediately made aware of the fact this is something that will be beneficial for me in the long run, and I must endure it. So that I do not feel like He does not love me anymore, or that He is punishing me for some old sin that He never brought up, or that I somehow fell out of His will for my life. Peace is knowing that it is well with my soul no matter what. If He removes the thorn from my flesh, I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me, if He does not, then I praise Him for His wonderful grace and mercy that He has shown to me by letting me go through a process of purification that will make me more sensitive to His spiritual promptings. So like Jesus, in whatever situation I am facing, I let our Father know how I feel about the prospect of an undesirable tribulation that is coming my way, but then I say with a submitted and honest heart: Not my will, but Your will be done in my life. For I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I belong to Him, and that I am in His will to the best of my present abilities, and that whatever comes my way is part of the process that will one day deliver me into the joy of His presence, completed and transformed, into what He destined me to be, for He is able to do it, I just got to go along with it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.” Now if I am one of those who believe that Christianity is like a club med type of resort, where all my needs are tended to immediately, with no disturbances to bother me, and I say in my heart to the Lord, When is that big limousine coming over to take me to heaven Lord, for as You know Lord, next year is not going to work out for me, for I got other and more important things to do? Boy! Then I would be in for a rude awakening. Think of all the different olives that are thrown down into the pit of the olive press, is any of them treated differently than the others? I think not! They are all pressed evenly and thoroughly until the process is completed, then and only then is the flesh removed, after all the oil has been extracted, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke. Mark 14:3 “And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His (Jesus) head.” Before Jesus headed for His encounter with Gethsemane He was anointed with a very expensive perfumed oil. Before the apostles of Jesus headed for their encounter with their destined Gethsemane, where all of them but John died as martyrs, they also were anointed with the precious oil of the Spirit that came down from heaven. Before we enter into our very own Gethsemane oil press, we are all anointed as well, for none of us can be born again unless we are first born of the Spirit of God. So that I see a pattern here. What makes the miracle of the transformation is the Oil of God in us, the anointing oil that breaks the yoke of worthlessness and makes us precious before Him. Many do not understand the function of the Oil of God, or the oil of the anointing. If you remember as the one hundred and twenty disciples were filled with the oil of the Spirit and had the oil of the anointing lid over their heads, some said of them that they were drunk, for they could not see the great significance of the event. Mark 14:4 “But there were some who were indignant among themselves, and said, ‘Why was this fragrant oil wasted?’” It was the same when Jesus was anointed by the woman, some saw nothing but a waste of a good, perfumed oil, and thereby missed the significance as well, which Jesus soon reveled to them. Mark 14:8 “She has done what she could. She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.” Here is the revelation of the mystery that I see: The anointing that we all crave and want to be filled of with its power, its a burial anointing, a death anointing if you will. It makes me wonder how many of us when we pray for God’s anointing power for our lives, if we really know that what we are asking for is to die the death of the cross, die to self, die to life, that He may live in us and through us without us hindering Him and His will for us. Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the anointed One) lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” Previous Next

  • A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF To expose the subtle yet crippling impact of unbelief in the lives of believers and to lead them into spiritual awareness, repentance, and transformation through the power of confession, prayer, fasting, and faith in Jesus Christ. A BELIEVER'S UNBELIEF Minister Lisa Kane October 22, 2025 Objective: To expose the subtle yet crippling impact of unbelief in the lives of believers and to lead them into spiritual awareness, repentance, and transformation through the power of confession, prayer, fasting, and faith in Jesus Christ. Synopsis: In A Believer’s Unbelief, Minister Lisa Kane delivers a powerful teaching on how unbelief silently hinders the lives of believers, keeping them from walking in the fullness of God’s power and promises. Drawing from key scriptures in Hebrews, Romans, Mark, and Matthew, she illustrates that unbelief is more than doubt—it is spiritual hardness that blocks us from experiencing the supernatural life Jesus intended. The message challenges listeners to recognize the areas in their lives where unbelief persists, even while professing faith. Minister Lisa explores the spiritual implications of unbelief through the failure of the disciples to cast out a demon, the cry of a desperate father for help with his unbelief, and even how Jesus Himself was limited by the unbelief of others. She emphasizes that confession is the gateway to overcoming unbelief—confession as humility, alignment with truth, and a declaration of faith in Jesus' lordship. Prayer and fasting are highlighted as necessary disciplines to combat unbelief and grow in spiritual authority. Through biblical insight and practical reflection, A Believer’s Unbelief calls believers to a deeper faith—one that not only acknowledges Jesus as Savior but also embraces the power of His resurrection, healing, and deliverance. The message ends with a personal call: ask God to reveal where unbelief resides, confess Jesus over those areas, and begin to walk in the full measure of faith and power promised to every believer. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Unbelief hinders us greatly, and many who are believers don’t realize it. Unbelief keeps us from walking in the power of God and it makes us blind to everything around us. In fact, unbelief causes our heart, (soul – thoughts and feelings) to become hardened. Hebrews 3:7-8 NKJV 7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, Notice earlier in the chapter, we read: Hebrews 3:1-2 NKJV Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, 2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. Confession is what helps us with unbelief. When we confess, it is an act of humility before the Lord. It is our spirit saying we were wrong and we need forgiveness, healing, deliverance, etc. Hebrews 3:16-19 NKJV 16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Indeed, was it not all who came out of Egypt, led by Moses? 17 Now with whom was He angry forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who did not obey? 19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief. When we walk in unbelief, we stay in the dry desert, wilderness and don’t reach the promise land. So, how do we confess? Romans 10:9 NKJV 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 1 John 1:9 NKJV 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus promised us that He will forgive and cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Another way to say this is that when we confess, we are called righteous. Once in that righteous state of mind, we walk in the power of God. Jesus demonstrated to us in scripture what unbelief did to His disciples. Mark 9:17-29 NKJV 17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit. 18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.” 19 He answered him and said, “O faithless[b] generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I [c]bear with you? Bring him to Me.” 20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. 21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood. 22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” 23 Jesus said to him, “If[d] you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” 26 Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. 28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?” 29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer [e]and fasting.” Let’s read the same event in Matthew: Matthew 17:14-21 NKJV 14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is [c]an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O [d]faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your [e]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 [f]However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” The disciples were unable to cast out this demon. Now notice, the disciples had already been casting out demons and knew how to do so. This wasn’t because they didn’t know what they were doing. Jesus explained to His disciples that unbelief played a role in this, as well as not being prepared through prayer and fasting. But look how Jesus handled the situation. He told the man that brought his son to him that if you believe, all things are possible. The man responded saying I believe but help me with my unbelief. He, the man, the father of this demon possessed child acknowledged that he could not help his son because he had no power. Since he had no power, he reached out to Jesus’ disciples and imagine what he thought when he saw that even the disciples could not cast out the demon. He came to the disciples because he believed but his belief was shaken. So Jesus reminded him but he said I believe but I need help with my unbelief. Because at this point, what else could be done when the disciples could not cast out the demon? Then Jesus cast the demon out and healed the boy. The disciples knew something wasn’t right here, which caused their belief to shaken. At this point, Jesus needed to restore their belief explaining that when you are shaken like this, you need to go back to the scripture, to Jesus and find out what’s going on. You need to bring your belief back up and Jesus did that by explaining that to cast out this kind of demon you need to be in prayer and fasting. Based on the outcome, the disciples weren’t praying and fasting like Jesus. Even Jesus was limited on what He could do when unbelief was present. Mark 6:5-6 NKJV 5 Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief. Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. Here we are today, where unbelief is rampant here in America. This level of unbelief prevents the spirit from moving. Even the disciples didn’t believe those who told them Jesus had risen and Jesus rebuked them for their unbelief. Mark 16:14-18 NKJV 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who [d]believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[e] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Unbelief keeps us from walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. The question you should ask yourself is what areas in your life where unbelief is true. Many believe in Jesus but don’t believe in the power of Jesus. For example, do you believe that Jesus saved you or are you hoping that He will save you? Do you believe Jesus heals? Do you believe Jesus delivers? Ask yourself what you believe and ask God to help you see the areas of unbelief in your life like the father of the son demon possessed. Then confess Jesus is Lord over that area in your life and watch God move over that area so that your unbelief is turned to belief. Previous Next

  • PERSEVERANCE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

PERSEVERANCE The objective of this message is to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith during trials and tribulations by holding onto the hope, peace, and confidence found in Christ. It seeks to show that perseverance produces character, character strengthens hope, and hope anchors us in God’s eternal promises. PERSEVERANCE Minister Lisa Kane July 10, 2022 Objective: The objective of this message is to encourage believers to remain steadfast in their faith during trials and tribulations by holding onto the hope, peace, and confidence found in Christ. It seeks to show that perseverance produces character, character strengthens hope, and hope anchors us in God’s eternal promises. Synopsis: In this message, Lisa Kane opens with Romans 5:1–5, highlighting how justification by faith brings peace with God through Christ. She explains that while life is full of trials, tribulation produces perseverance, perseverance builds character, and character fosters hope that does not disappoint because it is rooted in God’s love poured out by the Holy Spirit. Lisa emphasizes the sacrificial love of Christ demonstrated in Romans 5:8, reminding listeners that Jesus died for all humanity while they were still sinners. This truth is framed as the ultimate example of real love, contrasted with the world’s distorted definitions. God’s plan from the beginning—foretold in Daniel and fulfilled in Christ—shows His intent to end sin and bring everlasting righteousness. The message then turns to Psalm 27, where David’s confidence in the Lord through trials serves as a model for modern believers. Lisa applies this scripture to contemporary struggles, including cultural ideologies and societal pressures, stressing that Christians must stand firm on God’s Word, knowing that they will one day give an account before Him. Perseverance, she teaches, is not only about enduring hardship but about keeping the eternal perspective of standing before God. This perspective equips believers to resist fear, find strength in the Holy Spirit, and experience the joy and peace of knowing their eternal destiny. Lisa reassures those facing despair—even suicidal thoughts—that hope in Christ offers deliverance, strength, and a transformed character on the other side of trials. The sermon concludes with a call to remain faithful, patient, and courageous, clinging to the vision of eternity with Christ. Believers are urged to live with the assurance that one day they will hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and to let this confidence fuel their perseverance through every tribulation. I humbly apologize, but it is 95 degrees outside, and so I'm trying to keep it cool inside. We are in the middle of summer here, July 10th, 2022. All right. So, let's go to our opening scripture here. We're going to be looking at Romans chapter five. We're going to start here with verses 1-5. Uh, therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Now, let's keep in mind, how are we justified by faith? The moment you ask Jesus into your heart to be your Lord and Savior because you can't see him, that is an act of faith. And notice when you do that, look at this. You have a peace with God through Jesus because you're asking Jesus to forgive you of your sins. So you have this peace. It is incredible because we do have tribulation. So I want you to see this that this is yours that you have this in spite of all that's going on. I'm going to show you the hope and the confidence that you have that's going to get you through all of this. Amen. So perseverance. Here we go. Uh verse two. through whom we also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. So we can rejoice in this. So when all hell's breaking loose, guess what? You can say, "I don't care. I know where I'm going to be with my God in heaven." Amen. Oh, let's look at how we know. Let's look verse three. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations. This is what I'm talking about. Paul says it so perfectly here. We glory in tribulations knowing that tribulation produces perseverance and perseverance character and character hope. Now hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Oh hallelujah. So in spite of all the tribulations and the sufferings that we deal with, we get to see a visual of where we're going to be and have a hope. And remember what hope is. Hope is something we cannot see, but we can know. It's called faith. You're having this little bit of faith here that's going to get you through these things. So in spite of all the tribulations that we deal with, we get to see this hope and know where we are with Christ. Now, how does this work? Because that's going to be important here. How does that work? Well, let's continue with Romans 5 and look at verse 8. But God demonstrates his own love toward us. And now, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Oh. Oh. Okay. Hold on. hold everything. So if you're lying, you're cheating, you're committing adultery, you committed murder, hey, you're living in homosexuality sin or you're trying it out, it's sin. Sin is sin. Okay? You are living in sin. Now whether you have asked Jesus to believe uh to come into your heart and you believe in him or not uh whatever you've done Jesus performed the most important act of love. Remember love is love. Well, how do you demonstrate love? Look at this. It he demonstrates his own love toward us and that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. If you read the previous scriptures between the first set and this one that I read, you will find and this is a true statement. Will you die for someone that you love? For that matter, will I die for someone that I love? You know, you have to wonder if you ever face that kind of situation what you would do. Some people have the gumption and will do it. But there are others that won't. And it doesn't matter how much of you're a believer or a sinner. If you're not going to die for someone, you're not demonstrating love. Simple as that. So, love isn't love as the world would like us to believe. Love is dying for someone. And Christ died for all of us. And you know what? We were still sinners when he died for us. Oh, you you got to capture this. Think of this. Think of this. Imagine when the flood came out thousands of years ago and God was facing a situation. Now I I'm I'm looking at it from a human perspective, but I this is something to grasp on to because this is so mindblowing. Imagine him facing ending the the world at that point with the flood and starting over because he looked at mankind and saw the sin was continuously in their hearts. But you know what he was thinking? He was thinking, "Lisa in 2022 on July 10th is going to be talking about this very moment and she's going to believe in me. I got to save this world." That is how God thought this through. And in whether he was at the point of the flood or this was in his planning phase when he saw the whole thing and knew the outcome, whenever it was, he saw Lisa. He saw you. He saw what we will be like. And he knew some would believe and some wouldn't believe. But he couldn't abandon the ones that chose to believe. So he demonstrated the greatest act of love by sending his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Now, you got to understand that God has a plan here. This perfect plan, the one that he started in the beginning. And he knew. He knew that Lisa would believe. He knew that you would believe. He knew that us believers would be here. And in knowing that, he decided, "Okay, I got I'm going to put a plan. I'm going to put an end to sin." Now, take a look. Because see, we live in sin and we only know sin because that's what we're born into. We do not understand a world without sin. In fact, it's very difficult to comprehend who Jesus is. It really is confounding to say the least. You know, when you think of him as a god and then you think of him as a man and you think, "But I've sinned. Shouldn't you have?" But he didn't. And he went to the cross, but he took on all that sin and he started the act of putting it to an end. Look what Daniel says about uh this to the Israelites and talking to them. But this is the overall plan he's talking about. Daniel 9:24. 70 weeks were determined for your people and for your holy city to finish the transgression to make an end of sins to make reconciliation for iniquity to bring in everlasting righteousness to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. So he has a plan. And that plan is moving forward. So when you believe and you do have this peace and a hope that you can stand and we're going to look at that in just a moment. You can know that his plan is going forward and which means we're going to see tribulations. We're going to see hell on earth. And in reality, you know what? I've seen some news stories and I've seen some of the stuff that these people do. They get what they deserve. Okay, just saying the reality of the situation is they get what they deserve. And I hope though that they would repent and turn and try to make a better life for themselves. So even though you're a believer and remember as I taught uh actually over it's like a couple years now maybe uh I taught on being a soldier in God's army because as a believer in Christ you're going to have to deal with things and as you deal with things you've got to know the authority that you have and you got to know the tools that you have and how to use those tools. You can go check it out on our website. It is there. All that teaching is there and it's all in video. So you can go watch each step of being a soldier in God's army. It's based on Ephesians chapter 6. So now we know that God has a plan. We know that we're going to face tribulation. So but he said we had a hope and we have a comfort and a peace. He left us the comforter, the Holy Spirit. So what is how do we grab that? How do we have that sustained in our mind? Because sometimes it's very difficult. You're in the situation and all you're thinking of is, "Whoa, there's that mountain, right? You're just being attacked, attacked, attacked." You know, this week wasn't one of my best weeks. But that's okay. I just trust in the Lord that I know where I'm going to stand. So, let's look at what Psalm 27 has to say. We're going to go through that entire chapter because it is so powerful. It is the and and David wrote this psalm the and it it helped him sustain and he went through some serious trials and tribulations. This is your rock, your comfort. You got to remember this chapter. You got to hold on to it because as you get the vision of where you're going to be in the end, you're going to be looking at the straw going, nobody's going to care in 100,000 years. And here's the best part. It builds your character. It helps you persevere. It you just keep on going. For those of you who are dealing with uh suicidal thoughts, listen, there is a life right on the other side of getting through this trial and tribulation. And I want you to capture that. You need to repent. You need to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. And I promise you, I promise you, and Jesus, I'm on his side. This is a promise from him that you will be saved and that you will get to the other side and a much stronger individual. Amen. So, let's go look at Psalm 27 and start there. I I you guys, this is going to blow your way. Psalm 20. We're going to start here with verses 1 and two. The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid? We're gonna stop there. There's other scripture. And again, I don't want to give you all the scripture. I want you to go look these up yourself. Oh, death. Oh, death. Where is your sting? Think of it this way. There is life, there is death, and there's eternity. Eternity is where you're going to spend after death. Now death could come in the form of anything. Cancer, car accident, swimming accident, you name it. COVID, you name it. Death happens. The rapture will take you out of this body in essence as a form of death. But here's the best part. When you stand to face God at your judgment, who is the greater to fear the tribulation you're dealing with now, which is minuscule and nothing according to God or God. So when you put your mind right with God and you are looking at God and you're looking at that moment where you're standing in front of him and that moment should drive your entire life. So when you're faced with the current woke society because we're at war. We have ideology wars on us. They have the genderless war taking place currently in the news the other day. Uh, they don't want to call him mother or mother. They want to call her the birthing parent. Listen, you want to call her a birthing parent? Sure, it makes sense. Put it in a book, whatever. But don't eliminate the word mother. You see what they're doing here? They're trying to indoctrinate us into their ideology that all men and women are the same. And in all reality, we're not. In fact, there are no two people alike in the world. Even twins are not alike. You might see the similarities of people across the world, but we're all different. We're all different. And you know, that's we got to grasp onto the uniqueness that we're all different. And here's the best part of it though. In that uniqueness, you get to stand in the presence of God of who you are. You, me, Lisa, the uniqueness of Lisa is going to stand before God. So when you the uniqueness of you stands before God, how are you going to face him? Trying to be like the world or trying to be like yourself. So you have to overcome the ideologies. Even what I was saying earlier in homosexuality, love is love. You see, when you're attacked with this, you have to think of what is more important in the long term of things. you standing before God and facing him or and acce or accepting what the world is trying to force on you to accept their ideology to bless it. In essence, that's what the movement of the LGBTQ whatever it is that is moving forward today. That ideology is saying you have to accept me for who I am. Whatever God accepts you for who you are, by the way, so there's nothing wrong with that. Uh but they also want you not only to accept you but to accept their sin and bless it and and in in essence giving them a word that says when they face God, hey look God, I had the whole world behind me, I got their blessings, which means we're right, you're wrong. You know what? God is patient though and God is trying to get your attention and he's saying, "Listen, yes, you're going to face me, but I'm going to assure you, you're not going to be feeling that way at that moment. You are not. It's going to be you and him and the books." So, you have to look at that moment and realize, okay, so then if they're forcing this ideology on me and you say, "No, I'm not going to approve or bless your sin. You want to be a sinner, that's between you and God, go sin. Sin is fun for a season. It feels good for a season, but it backbites you. It comes after you later, and it will haunt you on the day that you're in the presence of the Lord. So, you have to realize that there's got to be a moment where you need to repent and turn from that and say, "Okay, Lord, what am I going to do here?" and and say, "I I'm sorry, and I need to call on you and I need you to be my Lord and Savior." And as that believer, when you're faced with these ideologies, remember where you're going to be standing on judgment day. And the answer is simple. I don't accept your ideology. I got to face God in the future. And when I do, I'm going to do it on his terms in the word of God, not your terms. That, my friend, is the secret to persevering because you have that hope because you know it's going to happen. For all of you who are telling you there is no life after death, they're lying to you. Yes, I get it. I have no proof. But I promise you that the moment you repent, you will have your proof because you will know it. You will feel it. It will be a part of you and it is very comforting. So then whom shall you fear? I would go with God and not the world. The world can do nothing. I just taught on Nehemiah and I taught about discernment there. But I also taught that he had the authority of God. He had the authority of the king to do what he was doing. And even though the whole wicked world around him was trying to stop him, he kept persevering and he did it. and he got to the other side because of his authority. So you can get to the other side and you will have a better character. You will be full of hope and comfort because I promise you as you go through every tribulation and some are small, some are bigger, you do come out with a better character. Amen. Whom shall you fear? So remember you have the authority of God. Stand on God's word. Verse two, when the wicked came against me to eat up my flesh, my enemies and foes, they stumbled and fell. Look at Nehemiah. The enemies fell. They couldn't do anything. And for all of you who have testimonies, you already know this. I have testimonies. It is absolutely amazing. When you get to the other side, you go, "Wow, I stressed over that and it was nothing." It's amazing. We're just we're in the flesh and that is very hard. But if you keep your mind on where you're going to be standing in the presence of God, decision-m should become much, much easier. Let's go to verse three now. Though an army may encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. And I just talked about wars, the war of ideology, I can be confident in knowing because see, you make the decision because you're standing in the presence of God. And so you make the decision based on his word. You stand for his word because the word is Jesus. I know it's all beaten up. I I use my word. I get in here. Get into your word. This is Jesus. This is how you're going to get to know who Jesus and God is. Don't listen to the world tell you who Jesus is. You need to get into the word of God and find out who he is. And then you can stand in confidence when you're in this war. And we are in war. We're being attacked with all of these ideologies. And we need to stand strong. And I'm telling you too, there's a physical war coming because whenever you have a spiritual war like this, it's in the heavens. Whatever happens in the heavens happens on the earth. Whatever happens on the earth happens in the heavens. Look at what uh Jesus said when he gave the key keys to the kingdom of heaven. He said, "Whatever you bind on heaven is bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth is loosened in earth." So or loosed in heaven. So get into those scriptures, study them, learn them, and have the confidence. Remember where you're going to be standing. You're going to be standing in front of God. And so you say, "You know what, Lord? Your word said this. I'm going to stand on your word and I'm going to be confident in knowing that I'm going to be better than what this war is after me." And yeah, there were consequences. They're going to try to hurt you. But in Nehemiah, they couldn't do nothing. They had no authority. And until God is ready to remove you, they can't do nothing. Oh, death. Oh, death, where is your staying? Oh, this is awesome. You should have the confident and the hope now. And watch how this works out. This is so amazing. Verse four. One thing I have desired of the Lord that I that will I seek. That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. If you are still thinking or have thought that you're going to be like some angel with wings and a harp and sitting on a cloud, come again. Because I'm going to tell you right now, that is not what heaven is like. And you are going to be blessed. And and if you just think about being in the presence of the Lord, the the healing, the feeling of being healed, the feeling of being delivered and no more sin, no more darkness, no more pain, no more. That alone should be a a mind opener, a an eyeopener as to what heaven will be like. Okay? You don't want to go to hell. Hell is for the devil. and and the Lord will put you there because if you choose him over he God then that's you know you you made your decision but I'm asking you to think about this think it logically through and say you know what I think I'd rather be in the presence of God listen you're made in his image so you have these self- thoughts and idea ideologies that you're kind of up here and that well I could be better or like you you stand on hey I know what's right God not you oh and And we do have that kind of characteristic traits that come out of us. Well, this is the time to say, "No, you know what? I'm going to humble myself before the Lord and I'm going ask the Lord why." And then when you go and find out because he will give you the answer. I promise you that. I've asked why many times, many times. And I got my answers. I promise you, you will get your answers. So, think of what heaven will be like. Think of when you're in that moment of judgment. That's more important than whatever trials and tribulations you're facing. And that should give you hope and confidence and should make your decision- making way easier on what to stand. So, if you have trouble believing, let's say, in evolution or creation, again, think on what heaven's going to be like and understand that if man hadn't fall, you wouldn't have to believe. But because he did fall, you have to believe, which means evolution is debunked. It couldn't happen. That's because you're keeping your eyes on the prize of where you're going to be for eternity. It helps. I'm promising you that. Builds your confidence, builds your character, and helps you persevere through the trials and the tribulations. Amen. Let's continue on Psalm 27. We're in verse 5. For in the time of trouble, he shall hide me in his pavilion, in the secret place of his tabernacle. He shall hide me. He shall set me high upon a rock. Rock. The rock. Jesus is our rock. The righteous shall run into it. The strong tower a righteous shall run into. I taught on Jesus being our ark, our salvation when the end comes. Now remember Noah for the flood. Remember God was thinking Lisa at that time. He decided to save mankind and he saved eight people. And if you go and look at uh the ark encounter and you look at creation museum and you look at their studies that they did on DNA, you will find that our DNA goes back to eight lines. Eight people survived the flood. So there is scientific proof, one that the flood took place. They already know that. They're just trying to decide how big it was. And two, that our DNA does go to eight people, eight lines. So there is scientific proof. So if you are struggling in believing the Old Testament or believing Genesis, I promise you it is truth and the science is coming out. The world don't want it to. Again, here's another war that you're going through. The world don't want you to go through that or know that because if you didn't think that man fell, they can keep you in sin. You see how the devil works? But if you're a believer in Christ and you know what's coming, God has already prophesied about the tribulation in Revelation. Ezekiel has already prophesied there's going to be a great earthquake earthquake where all the walls fall. And that is before the Israelites are are covered or uh marked in the book of Revelation. So that's before the rapture because the the the Christians have to be removed in order for the uh 144,000 to be sealed. So on the day of the Lord, this earthquake happens. The sun turns dark, the moon turns red. There's there's a series of events. It's a day, a day you will never forget. I promise you, you want to be in that rapture. You do not want to be here for the tribulation. That is going to be hell on earth, literally. Uh and in in fact, the first five months, you're not going to be able to die. I just know that. Okay? go into the scriptures and look at it. But look, he says you will be hidden. Look at that. He shall hide me in his pavilion in the secret. There is a secret place. Now here we create our secret place when we spend time with the Lord. But God has a secret place for us. Don't know what it is yet. Secret, but I promise you it's there. And we are going to be comforted and held and protected in spite of all of that going on. Because you know what? One, it doesn't matter per se because when I stand before God, he's going to tell me some good words. I'm going to share those words with you. And I'm hoping he shares those words with you, too. You're going to be standing in his presence. And you're going to be in his eternity. And you're going to not be in hell. And you're going to be not hurting. You're going to be free. You're gonna be loved and at peace. That, my friend, is absolutely so important. So now you can look at that and let it be your confidence. Let it be your hope. Let it get you through the p the tribulations so you can persevere and be strong and have a better character when the next trial and tribulation comes through that you have to persevere through. Verse six. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me. Therefore, I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tabernacle. I will sing. Yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. You know what? When you grab hold of this, you should be singing and you should be jumping up and down for joy, you should be like, "Yes, I I'm telling you, it is a a great mental picture to have because as you stand up strong, your head is above the shoulders. you are above your enemies. They look at you and in fact people of the world. They're considered your enemy right now until they become a believer. But they will be looking at you like what happened to you? Are you in la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la land? Good. You ought to be you ought to be in in the mindset of thinking of where heaven is and what heaven will be like because that is your comfort. That is your strength. And when they ask you because they will ask you and this is your testimony. You can say, "I know where I'm going to be with God when all is done." And you're going to say, "I'm going to be saved." And you can ask them, "Do you want to be saved, too?" And you know, when they see your confidence, your strength, and they see you expressing yourself, and they see the peace and the joy that you have and you singing the praises that you have, they will repent because it is a a catching it catches you. You know, Nehemiah, when I taught on that, the neighbors caught on like, "Okay, he he's going to fix this part of the fence. Well, I'm going to do my part." And then and it got it just kept catching on. It's like a fire that catches on. Amen. Amen. This is awesome. God is so good. Verse seven, here. Oh Lord, when I cry with my voice, have mercy also upon me and answer me. When you said, "Seek my face." My heart said to you, "Your face, Lord, I will seek." Do not hide your face from me. Do not turn your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Do not leave me nor forsake me, oh God of my salvation. And when you finally grab hold of God and you ask, you repent and you get, you grab hold and you hold on tight. Put his face right in front of you. Put it right there. Don't let go. You say, "Lord, do not leave me. Do not forsake it." and he won't. And that's what he gives you, that comfort, that hope that you can know that you are in his presence. Hallelujah. Because you're seeking his face. You're seeking him. Find out who he is. You're going to be shocked. The world's angry at nothing. But God is all knowing. He has the answers. He's righteous. He is just. But he loves you so much. He sent his only begotten son even as you are a sinner. Verse 10. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me. I want you to understand something. as you age and sometimes when you're young, you you have to face this. Um our parents die, you know, people die and whether it's a parent or uh a loved one, someone who's cared for you and taken care of you and they're removed. They're they're no longer a caretaker. They're no longer available to take care of you, whether they're living in an Alzheimer's home or they've gone on to be with the Lord. They forsake you. But I'm going to tell you right now, Jesus doesn't forsake you. He's the rock that you can rely on. And you know what? And you know, he will take care of your parents and your loved ones. You can have the confidence to know he's got life and death in it. He made it. He understands it. And he understands that you are afraid. You know how many times he said, "Do not be afraid." I forget how many times it is written in the Bible, but it is written so many times to not be afraid. And it is hard, especially when you're in the middle of that trial or tribulation, grieving for a lost one. You're sitting there and you're just like, "Wow, Lord, how am I going to get through this?" But you go to him, you seek his face, you hold on, you don't let go, and you know that he is your strength. and remember where you're going to be standing in his presence in the future. Verse 11, teach me your way, O Lord. And think about that. Teach me your way, oh Lord. His way. He knows about death. He knows what the spiritual realm is all about. He will teach it to you. But you have to get into his presence to find out. It is all in here. But as long as you let the world get in your way first, you will never get your answers. And then you wonder why you have such a hard time with the trials and the tribulations even as a believer. Because it is hard. It's hard to have faith. But if you're seeking him, you can have that confidence knowing where you're going to be in in the future because you're going to be there. You will be there. You will be there. So grab on and say, "Okay, I'm going to hope and know I'm going to be there." And that should give you the confidence of how to live your life. Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries. For false witnesses have risen against me, and such as breathe out violence. Again, the enemy is going to do everything they can to get to you. Even lie. Look at what Trump's going through. And there's so many lies about him, but he stands for God. And he'll say, he comes out and says, "This is not truthful." And you know what? I'm gonna promise you this. He'd be in jail or even dead by now if they had found anything evil on him. They didn't. They wanted it so bad and they can't. So, they're trying to figure out what's the best way, best lie we can make up. So what do you do? You seek his word and you remember where you're going to be when it's your time to face the Lord. I'm going tell you right now, it it it it makes the tribulation not so important anymore. Amen. Amen. The last two verses, verses 13 and 14. I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Oh, it is so easy in the middle of that trial and tribulation. Look at people who have committed suicide. It is easy to lose hope and to lose sight of where you're going to be because the enemy wants you to think that way. He He's trying to confuse you and keep you pushed down. Stand with confidence and remember where you're going to be. Look at that moment. You're in the presence of the Lord. You have to make an accounting for yourself. So, what's it going to be like? You going to live by the rules of the world? Are you going to live by the rules of God? And look what else he says here in verse 14. Wait on the Lord. Be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say on the Lord. you know, as you are patient because, you know, we know we're in the trials and tribulations we're facing right now. And this is just the beginning of birth pains as Matthew, Mark, uh, as Jesus says in Matthew and Mark and Luke, this is just the beginning. So, there's going to be it's going to get real bad and it's coming. So, as we sit here, this is the time to reinforce our mind on that visual. Picture yourself in front of his presence. Picture yourself knowing what he's going to say. Picture yourself seeking the word. Picture yourself standing up going, "These trials and tribulations are nothing because I've got a better place to be." Picture yourself making the decisions of the word of God and not of the world. Picture yourself in the knowledge that you have hope, faith in Christ, and keep that in mind and wait for it. So as you wait for it, as you get to you're visualizing it, you see it coming and it's coming. Every day that every day passes, it gets closer and closer. Amen. name. Remember, these are the words that you should be hoping to hear. Look at these words. This is when you stand in the moment of God. Matthew 25:23, his Lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things. I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord." I use that scripture because these are this is about um the talents that we're given. You're given a testimony. Share your testimony. Let your talent be rewarded. Stand strong. Well done, good and faithful servant. Remember that moment. Hasn't happened yet, but remember it by seeing it. Hold on to it. Let it be your comfort. Let it be your confidence. Let it be your hope. And when you come out of the trial and the tribulation, your character goes up and you can say with confidence, I persevered and I made it. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. Thank you. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this word and we thank you for your blessing on it. Oh, let us have our strength and our courage and our confidence and our hope in you. And let us hold on to that visual that we have for you and with you in that moment. We're going to be with you. Thank you, Father God, in the glorious name of Jesus. Amen. Well, amen. God bless you guys. I will see you in the next video. Bye-bye. Previous Next

  • SPIRITUALITY VERSUS CARNALITY | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

SPIRITUALITY VERSUS CARNALITY The objective of this teaching is to help believers discern the difference between living as spiritual Christians and living as carnal Christians. Pastor Marcos Marrero emphasizes that true spiritual maturity is marked not by worldly wisdom or religious appearances, but by the fruit of the Spirit and the revelation of God’s wisdom through the Holy Spirit. This lesson seeks to guide believers into choosing daily to walk in the Spirit, rather than yielding to the works of the flesh, so that they may mature into victorious, Christ-centered lives. SPIRITUALITY VERSUS CARNALITY Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers discern the difference between living as spiritual Christians and living as carnal Christians. Synopsis: In Spirituality Versus Carnality, Pastor Marcos Marrero examines Paul’s admonition to the Corinthian church, highlighting the tension between spiritual maturity and carnal living. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 3:1–4, he explains that spiritual Christians are mature in faith, while carnal Christians remain as infants in Christ, unable to receive deeper revelations because they are hindered by envy, strife, and division. Pastor Marcos contrasts the world’s wisdom with God’s hidden wisdom, reminding readers that spiritual truths cannot be grasped through human reasoning but only through the revelation of the Holy Spirit. He points to Paul’s ministry as an example, where the demonstration of God’s Spirit and power, rather than persuasive words, confirmed the truth of the gospel. The lesson also clarifies that the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control—are marks of a spiritual life. On the other hand, works of the flesh such as selfish ambition, resentment, and divisions mark a carnal life and prevent believers from growing in spiritual understanding. Through biblical examples, such as Rahab’s decision to act spiritually rather than merely “do the right thing,” Pastor Marcos shows that spiritual maturity often requires choices that defy worldly logic. He urges believers to submit to Christ’s teachings, even when they do not make sense to the natural mind, trusting that the Holy Spirit will apply God’s wisdom and peace to their lives. Ultimately, the message underscores that the Christian life involves a daily choice between spirituality and carnality. By yielding to the Spirit and rejecting the flesh, believers grow in freedom, wisdom, and maturity—living as those who are no longer slaves to sin but made free in Christ. Inspired Teaching: 1 Corinthians 3:1 “And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ.” A spiritual Christian is a mature Christian, and a carnal Christian is one who does not have a clue as to what spirituality is really all about. It is odd that in some church settings, spiritual Christians are frowned upon as being way out there, out of the main stream, they are almost ashamed to acknowledge them, while their carnal counterparts or more worldly minded Christians are held with high regard for being more in touch with the reality of life, in their more balanced relationship with the world system. Let’s face it, spiritual truths are always at odds with the physical realities. I see programs on TV all the time trying to explain biblical events, not just secular programs, some Christian shows as well, that try to make carnal sense of events that can only be interpreted through the eyes of faith in the word of God. Paul’s complaint to the Corinthians is that he cannot address them with the meat of spiritual truth because they are like infants holding on to their baby bottles. Now, don’t get me wrong, I like to know the mechanics of how things work more than anybody else, but I am humbled enough to know that while I am in this body of flesh, I am limited in my ability to fully understand spiritual mysteries. If I do not fully understand something, I am comfortable enough in my belief that it happened the way that God said it happened, and my faith does not require any further explanation. 1 Corinthians 3:2-3 “I fed you with milk and not solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal…” Paul, while under his apostolic ministry and anointing, was privy to the revelation of the mysteries that had been hidden from the sages of old and was extremely eager to share those revelations that he had received with all his converts. But imagine his frustration with the inability of many of his converts to receive the revelation of those spiritual mysteries that he treasured. 2 Peter 3:15-16 “And consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable (carnal) people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.” Peter himself acknowledges the gift that God had invested in the apostle Paul, and recognizes the fact that it takes spiritual maturity to receive the understanding of many of the mysteries that Paul was revealing in his teachings to the churches. How does a carnal babe in Christ become a spiritually mature servant? 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” The majority of Paul’s converts got saved by the demonstration of God’s Spirit and power moving in their midst as Paul preached to them, so that it was the supernatural manifestation of God’s power among them that confirmed the truth of what Paul was preaching to them, not human logic. Now Paul is teaching them that in order for them to become spiritual they have to follow the same pattern, spirituality does not come through persuasive words of human wisdom, but rather through the manifestation of God’s Spirit and power, that in many instances defy human logic. 1 Corinthians 2:6-7 “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in an mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory.” The wisdom that makes us spiritual is like an encoded mystery that was deposited into our newly recreated born-again spirit-man when we got saved, which only the Holy Spirit can reveal or decode in those who through the agency of faith and trust in the word of God, will be able to receive and understand. 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the sprit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except (unless) the Spirit of God (reveals them to us).” The spiritual mystery or quality that enables a believer to become spiritual or mature, has already been deposited into our recreated spirit-man, but the revelation or unlocking of those mysteries are left to the Spirit of God who searches the human spirit that dwells within our heart, to see if spiritual fruit it's been produced by our spirit. 1 Corinthians 3:3 “For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you (works of the flesh), are you not carnal and behaving like mere (natural instead of spiritual) men?” I am responsible before God for the kind of fruit that my spirit produces: Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, meekness, faithfulness and self-control are all spiritual fruit, the more of that kind of fruit that my spirit produces, the greater the revelation of God’s wisdom that I will receive as it is unveiled through my heart by the Spirit of God. Envy, strife, divisions, selfish ambitions, and the like, are all spiritual manifestations of the works of the flesh, the carnality that will hinder my heart from receiving the revelation that will allow me to become a mature, and victorious spiritual Christian. So that I have a choice to make each and every day between peace and distress, love and hate, forgiveness and resentment. Am I going to be at peace in the face of distress? Am I going to love those who hate me? Am I going to forgive those whom I resent? If I follow my natural inclinations that compel me to demand an eye for an eye, then the spiritual revelation that makes me wise in Christ is withheld from me, for my actions prevent the Holy Spirit from revealing them to me as He desires. But if I summit myself to the words that our Lord taught us, His spiritual words that are my life, even when it absolutely makes no sense to me to do what He says, then the Holy Spirit is not hindered, and though I may not be ready to receive the understanding as to why I need to do what the Scriptures require, nevertheless, His healing balm will be applied to my soul and I will walk in His peace no matter what! John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” There is a disconnect for many Christians between doing the right thing and doing the spiritual thing. Understanding the difference between doing that which is right and doing that which is spiritual can be an important factor that will help to lead us into maturity. That is because our natural understanding of what the right thing to do is, has been tainted by our worldly perception. We sometimes confuse human goodness with God inspired spirituality. So that when we think we are doing the right thing that should make us more spiritual, instead we are being carnal and do not even know it. Therein lies a trap that has diverted many well intended Christians from what had been a promising road to maturity, into the folly that Paul calls the wisdom of this age, by comparing or trying to understand spiritual things through the prism of human wisdom. 1 Corinthians 2:13-14 “These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural (carnal) man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” The more spiritual that a believer becomes, the more at odds that he will be with the wisdom of this world, and the difference between what the spiritual thing to do is, verses that which is the right thing to do, will become more obvious to the believer that matures spiritually. A spiritually mature man will never be bound by the spirit of religion. 1 Corinthians 3:4 “For when one says, ‘I am of Paul,’ and another, ‘I am of Apollos,’ are you not carnal?” When Rahab the prostitute was faced with the choice of doing the right thing and not lie to the soldiers that asked about the whereabouts of the spies that visited her, she chose to do the spiritual thing instead, and protected those who belonged to God by misleading the soldiers away from them. By her actions she did not only save their lives, but she also saved her own life and the lives of her family and became part of Jesus ancestry. To become a spiritually mature Christian is the same as that of being a slave that has been made free. 1 Corinthians 2:15 “But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.” After all it is for freedom's sake that Christ has made us free! • THE CONFORMED DOES NOT TRANSFORM | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE CONFORMED DOES NOT TRANSFORM To reveal the dangers of conforming to the present world system, expose how the manipulation of information undermines moral reasoning, and call believers to renew their minds through God’s Word so they may live transformed lives in alignment with His perfect will. THE CONFORMED DOES NOT TRANSFORM Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To reveal the dangers of conforming to the present world system, expose how the manipulation of information undermines moral reasoning, and call believers to renew their minds through God’s Word so they may live transformed lives in alignment with His perfect will. Synopsis: This teaching begins with Paul’s admonition in Romans 12:2, contrasting conformity to the world with transformation through the renewing of the mind. The author observes that modern society, particularly in America, suffers from contradictions and irrational behavior—not due to a lack of knowledge, but because of a deep spiritual problem. While past generations developed moral values through family, faith, and community experience, today’s culture is artificially manufactured through centralized control of information and media. The rise of global information systems and ideologies such as socialism has eroded individuality and encouraged a herd mentality. This manufactured culture disconnects people from heritage, reason, and truth, conditioning them to accept shifting standards of morality and knowledge as absolute. Yet, unlike the fleeting and unreliable wisdom of man, the Word of God remains unchanged and trustworthy across all generations. The message emphasizes that transformation requires rejecting the false narratives of this age and choosing the eternal truth of Scripture. By renewing the mind in God’s Word, believers can escape the deception of conformity, discern rightly, and prove what is good, acceptable, and perfect in God’s will. Ultimately, the teaching warns against the peril of blind conformity and exhorts believers to hold fast to the unshakable truth of God’s Word in preparation for the return of Christ. Inspired Teaching: Romans 12:2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” If you ask any reasonable person today to explain the disconnect that so many have with reality, they would be hard pressed to explain it, for truly everything that is going on today in all levels of society does not make any sense whatsoever. Here in the US for example, polls tell us that a majority of Americans want to get rid of their elected officials at any given time, yet every two years we have elections, and by a margin of over ninety percent the same incumbents get reelected, how do you explain that? A majority here complain that the government is too big, and that its spending is out of control, and that for the money they get from us we are not well served by our government. Yet a majority always complains when efforts are made to reduce the government and the power that it now has to control every aspect of our lives. How do we explain such contradictions? The world at large and the United States in particular, do not have a physical problem, and by that I mean that we do not lack the ability to receive information and the knowledge that allows us to make sense of what is going on all around us if we are rational, but we are not. In reality what we are facing is a spiritual problem! Some will say that we have lost our moral compass, and we have, but that is not the root of it, for there has always been immoral behavior in every nation that ever existed, including the US. In our opening text, the relationship is made between our ability to reason, the renewing of our minds, and our conforming to this world system. The more that we become one with our present world system, the less capable that we are in making sound judgments that are based in simple human reasoning; that is the point of our opening text. What is the difference then, between our present day generation and past generations that knew exactly what it was that was required of them? The dissemination of information! In the past, our world was a limited world, the rules that governed the areas where people lived back then, had been developed through generations of families that through trial and error had developed the moral concepts that they handed down to their children, good or bad, but that only applied to the very specific areas where they lived. So that there was back then a diversity of thought and many different applications of faith, that allowed reasonable people to make a determination as to whether what they believed was right or wrong based on the behavior of others when compared to their own, and with it the ability to improve their belief system where it was needed. So that there was not a worldwide uniform code that compelled others to conform to a narrow standard of moral thinking. Daniel 12:4 “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” The dawn of the twentieth century was a pivotal point for all mankind, for with the industrial revolution came the reality that, knowledge shall increase, and those early visionaries did not want the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be the standard by which the world became one. For in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, individuals are free to choose for themselves and their families the kind of world, or community, they wanted to be a part of, for they were given individual rights to life and liberty and for the pursuit of happiness from their Creator Himself. Socialism, however, offered a better system for those whose aim was always to rule the world, for socialism debases the individual for the sake of empowering the state. The culture of today is not our grandfather’s culture. It did not evolve out of individual societies that through trial and error had chosen to pass to their children in what they thought would be the best for them, what they commonly called, the moral values of their faith. The culture of today has been manufactured by those illuminated ones who think of us humans as a commodity that they must somehow manage through force and coercion. But we humans present a different problem for their methods of how they manage the world through the herd mentality, for we have the ability to reason and the capacity for sound understanding. In the information age, he who controls the output of information, also controls the behavior of the herd. If what our children learn in school about culture today is the same thing that they learn at home through nationwide television shows that sometimes reach the entire world, before long, they lose the connection to their heritage that is not being portrayed on these shows, especially if they are able to relate more to the belief system of a fictional family on television than to their own heritage. And as we see these things played out in television shows that deal with relationships and morality, as well as in the news and in social media, as to what is good and who is bad being reinforced daily in every facet of our society, eventually our capacity to compare and to choose between the present system and something else that disappeared or has been disparaged, is lost. That is why society is where it is today, unable to make decisions that are based on sound judgment. But be transformed by the renewing of your mind! How can you choose if you have no choice? Information is presented today by this world wide information conglomerate, as if what they believe is right and what everybody else believes, or believed, is wrong, for they see themselves as the gate keepers of information. They ridicule anything and everything that does not conform to what they present as knowledge; knowledge that is biased and based on laughable theories. But we do have a choice. Next time when some know it all tells you what happened one billion years ago, ask him to show you the video, lol. Let me show you what is more real than any empirical evidence that you have ever witnessed: The end time prophecies found in the Word of God! For they are the pages of history written in advance for all to see. Isaiah 46:9-10 “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.’” It is not until you say no to the nonsense of this world, for this world is passing away along with the knowledge it professes, and say yes to the eternal Word of God, that you will be able to renew your mind and finally find a real choice that is evidently clear. That you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Every time I see a contest between human knowledge and the wisdom of God, I cannot help but laugh. I picture in my mind natives aiming their primitive bows and shooting their arrows at a 747 airliner at 40,000 feet, trying hard to bring it down and I can almost hear them saying, Oh, shoot another arrow, you almost got it with the last one! I know that for some who might be reading this, because you have been fed so much bull that passed for knowledge all your life that it might be difficult for you to see it from my perspective. So let me run a little scenario pass you that might help you understand the preeminence of the Word of God in all things. I was born in 1947 and let’s say that someone gets all the curriculum that was used that year to graduate students from the highest places of learning back then. Let them study those books and pass all the tests. Will they get a diploma from those prestigious universities today? Of course not! What they learned back then is old knowledge today. Okay, let me ask you this, will the knowledge that all the graduates learned this year be up to date for future graduates, let’s say sixty six years from now? Of course not; new year, new books, new knowledge. Let me see if I get this right, they want me to put my trust in knowledge that by their own reasoning will not be trustworthy tomorrow? Now go and get a Bible that was printed in 1947, open it to Genesis 1:1 and read it. I do not know if out of the many Bibles that I own, if any of them was printed in 1947, but I can tell you this, Genesis 1:1 in those Bibles that were printed in 1947 read like this: In the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Get a Bible that was just printed and I guarantee you that it says the same thing, just as it will sixty six years from now in the Bibles that are yet to be printed, just like it read when Moses first wrote it 3500 years ago. Do you want to put your trust on fallible knowledge that is here today and gone tomorrow? Is this what you want your epithet to read: He trusted a fallacy, and what he knew came to naught? Life is a learning experience that has many twists and turns, but if we are not careful, the devil in his cunningness is able to rob humans of their God giving ability to reason properly and to make the right choices for their lives and their families lives, as we can see many today that simply do not have a clue. Don’t get caught up with this world that you end up conforming to it. For if you do, your mind will not be able to receive the transformation that allows you to think and reason as an individual. Matthew 24:38-39 “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Do not be hoodwinked by the present deception that is taking place all around us. Wise up! We are living in perilous times and the only thing that we can ever fully trust is the Word of God. Previous Next

  • THE FALL AND RISE OF HUMANKIND | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE FALL AND RISE OF HUMANKIND The objective of this message is to teach and reveal the biblical truth about humanity’s fall into sin through Adam and Eve, the consequences of that fall, and the redemptive plan of God fulfilled through Jesus Christ. It aims to help listeners understand why sin entered the world, how it affects all people, and why redemption through Jesus is essential for eternal life. The message also emphasizes building a personal relationship with God, recognizing spiritual authority over the enemy, and choosing salvation to secure one’s place with Christ. THE FALL AND RISE OF HUMANKIND Minister Lisa Kane January 23, 2022 Objective: The objective of this message is to teach and reveal the biblical truth about humanity’s fall into sin through Adam and Eve, the consequences of that fall, and the redemptive plan of God fulfilled through Jesus Christ. It aims to help listeners understand why sin entered the world, how it affects all people, and why redemption through Jesus is essential for eternal life. The message also emphasizes building a personal relationship with God, recognizing spiritual authority over the enemy, and choosing salvation to secure one’s place with Christ. Synopsis: In The Fall and Rise of Humankind, Lisa Kane begins by grounding the message in Genesis 1–3, explaining the creation, the planning phase of God’s design, and the perfection of the original world. She shows how humanity was given authority, yet fell through deception when Eve and Adam disobeyed God, leading to three lasting curses: the serpent’s humiliation, pain and subjection for women, and toil and death for men. The teaching highlights how Lucifer, once exalted, resented humanity’s relationship with God and sought to corrupt it through sin. Yet, this sets the stage for God’s plan of redemption. Lisa connects Genesis to the New Testament, demonstrating how Jesus, the Word made flesh, became the perfect answer to mankind’s fall. Through His death, resurrection, and the shedding of His blood, Jesus broke the curse of sin and provided the way back to God. The message builds to the triumphant truth that although all are born into sin, believers can rise through Christ into eternal life. Lisa calls listeners to repentance and acceptance of Jesus as Savior, stressing the urgency of salvation and the reality of eternity. She closes by encouraging believers to walk in relationship with God, live redeemed lives, and stand ready for Christ’s return. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this on Sunday, January 23rd, 2002. And this message is called The Fall and Rise of Humankind. So, let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we lift up this word to you and bless it in the name of Jesus. Open up our hearts to receive and our understanding to comprehend and give us the strength and the endurance to live it and walk with it and to believe. In the glorious name of Jesus we pray. Amen. All right. So, as you can see, I'm doing a little bit of a different format here. Let's see how this works. I've been playing with lighting and sound, just trying to find something that I'm happy with. So far, this is looking okay. So, let's let's give this one a try. So, let's get right into the message. The fall and rise of humankind. Okay. Where are we going with this, Lisa? All right. So, our opening scripture here is Genesis 2:1. Thus, the heavens and the earth and all the host of them were finished. What an interesting scripture to start with, Lisa. It's like this is the done. It's done. All right. So, why do we need to do this? Okay. I understand that there are a lot of teachers out there and preachers who don't teach on the book of Genesis. I also understand that there's a lot of people who think that's in the past. I don't need to think about it or worry about it. It has nothing to do with me. Well, if you read Matthew 24 and Jesus is talking about prophecy, he tells you, I believe it's in verse 37, that it'll be like the days of Noah. So, you got to know about Noah's flood at least. Okay. But the most important part is you're probably asking yourself the question why. You know, I've already kind of touched a little bit on what we go through, but when you understand how mankind fell in the beginning and that you are born into it, then it it kind of comes like, oh wow, I have to deal with this. And there's a reality check in here. And it really once you get that why answered, it is absolutely imperative that you see where you're going with this and why you need to believe. So I think addressing the why is very important. On top of it all, man, if you read Genesis 1, 2, and 3, chapters 1 through 3, oh my goodness, there are so many golden nuggets and mysteries here that kind of answer a lot of things that science has been answering, but you've got a lot of people lying to us. So, let's get into it and let's just show you how mankind fell, what that story is, uh, and where what Jesus, it actually helps you understand what the redemption of what God and Jesus did. It's really, really, and you see the connection. Scripture just connects it all together. It's very powerful. So, I'm very excited about this message as you could tell. So, let's get into it. So, it is finished. So, you can see here um the heavens and the earth. Now this is Genesis 2 verse one. Now golden nugget number one. Let me just tell you if you do a word study on Genesis 1:es 1 and two and there's a lot of theologians out there who have a theory that another world existed before us. And they it's because they did a word study on here. So you might be interested in checking that out. But basically, God sees this darkness here, this uckiness and he's he he makes life in that and he doesn't understand. You're going to see that in scriptures. So, it's like, wow. Okay. Um, you know, it kind of hints like what did God destroy before to make it like that? And did he start over? I mean, it's really really interesting and and you can get a lot of questions out of that. And these are things you can ask God and hope that he answers it for you. Um, I suggest writing it down in a journal, date it, and one day you may get your answer and you can write it down. Could be in a dream, it could be scripture. He'll reveal that to you as a believer in Christ. So, I highly encourage you to do that. So, that's Genesis 1 and two. Now, I want you to see um or verses one and two in chapter one. I want you to see something here because if you go on an internet search, which I don't recommend doing that, but anyways, when you do, you're gonna hear all these people that talk about two atoms and two E's, and it's like, come on, people. This is not complicated. When you read chapters one and two, you're seeing the same story from two different perspectives. Perspective number one is chapter one, and that's the planning phase. God plans everything out. You're gonna see how this connects to the redemption. Oh, this is so good. I'm so excited about it. So, he plans everything. So, when I say he plans, pretend, think of it like this. He's in his workshop. He's got a bowl of water and that's going to be the oceans. He's got a bowl of earth, that's going to be the land mass. So, and he lays everything out, including man and woman. So, everything is laid out. This is chapter one. and he tells you what he does on each day. So he creates the sun and the moon and the stars and he does all that. I'm not going to go into a lot of that scripture. I encourage you to read chapter one and figure it out and read it from the perspective that it's a planning phase. Really helps when you understand that because then you get chapter two because you know when people come back and say no two Adams two n okay just understand the scriptures. Okay. So, in fact, let's go to the next verse here because I think this is going to also clarify and help you understand this planning phase. So, Genesis 2, now we're in verses four and six, and it says, "This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens before." So, if you read all chapter one, you think, "Okay, well, this is what he did on day one. This is what he did on day two." Yes, but he made it, but he didn't put it in action. It was a plan. Think of it as a planning phase. This is very important. So, look at what he says here. Before any plant of the field was in the earth, and before any herb of the field had grown, for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground, but a mist went it from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground. Okay. So also while you're seeing that he talked about the planning phase now you're seeing he's talking about how the environment of the earth existed prior to what we know it today. Okay so today we get rain today we get winds this weekend we've had heavy winds here in Lakeor but uh they that didn't exist then. In fact it was such a perfect temperature that the water would miss you didn't even need to wear clothing. Adam was made without clothing and until he sinned, God didn't put clothes on clothes on him until then. So you can see that the atmosphere was completely different. So I the reason I'm stressing this is because I want you to see when you think of science and you you get into the world of science and they tell you evolution and all this kind of stuff, I want you to consider how the world existed then. God was perfect. And in fact, every time he went through whatever he planned, he said, "And this is good. He blessed it. It is good." So get into that. See that and watch how it unfolds. Okay. Now, I want you to see that God set things up here. This is and this also reinforces how chapter 1 reads as a plan. Look at the next scripture here. Genesis chapter 2 15-1 17. Then the Lord God took the man. Where did he take him from? [Laughter] I'm telling you, it was like he was in a workshop and he took him out of the workshop and now put him into the universe into the area. I'm not kidding. This is scripture. This is absolutely amazing. Watch this. So then God, the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die." So God sets the parameters. So Adam now knows what he needs to do. So he's there to tend the garden. So let me let me kind of go a little further. That word, by the way, tand is to guard. Uh, and if you want to do a word st study, again, I encourage you to do that. But I also want you to think this through for just a quick moment. You know, there's a lot of things that Moses did not write in here because it's implied. So, you can think the situation and the logical through this. And it is really, really interesting. So, we know that dinosaurs existed. You notice the scripture doesn't talk anything about it. does talk about all the animals are created here and you're going to see that Adam's going to end up naming all of the um all the animals. So, they're there. So, what's the purpose of having a dinosaur? You have to keep in mind also there's something else going on here. Sin has not appeared yet. There's no sin yet. So, that means you don't have animal eating animal. Okay? There there there's no viciousness. So, everything is edible from the earth. Meaning you can grab whatever root, stem, branch, you can eat it. It's all edible. This is the environment that the Lord created. It was naturally watered by the earth. But dinosaurs, what was their purpose? Well, if Adam only had, we don't know how much land he was given to tend. But we do know that whatever that amount is is only one man. How much can one man handle? Okay. But in all reality, if he's just having to guard it, then it's a matter of what he can eat, right? If he can only eat so much, does everything grow and overgrown? So, dinosaurs have to eat the grass and the trees and the bushes to keep things from overgrowing. That's why they're there. I just thought I'd throw that in there because this makes the whole thing make a whole lot more sense when science says, "Well, there's dinosaurs and evolution." It helps you understand things. And I'm going to talk about evolution here in just a minute. So, I want you to see. So, let's now look at what Adam does here because there's still no Eve in the picture. Watch this. So, here you can see God took Adam. He puts him into this particular land. And this is what he has them do. Genesis 2 19-20. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. Eve is not there yet. Okay? I want you to see that there is so much in these two scriptures. I need to elaborate because this is so powerful. This is going to help you understand what the devil's up to and why redemption is so important and it's in these two scriptures. So God forms all the animals. He forms them out of the dirt. He he brings them all to Adam and he names them. Now, first question you got to ask yourself, how long did it take Adam to name all those animals? Now, keep in mind these are kinds. So, we're not talking about different breeds of dogs or horses or cats. We are talking about a dog, a cat, a horse, a giraffe, an elephant, dinosaur, type of dinosaur. But all of these animals existed and Adam is naming them. So, did it take him a couple hours, days, weeks, months, years, 5,000 years? Well, let's take a moment and analyze this because I think this is very important. Watch this. So, if sin hasn't happened, Romans 6:23 says the wages of sin is dead. Adam isn't dying. That means he's not aging. Notice God doesn't tell you how old he was when he made him. He's an adult. Full mature adult. We just don't know. Is he 21, 28, 33, 55? We don't know how old he is. God doesn't have tails because there's no age here. Here's even the most important part. So, let's let's do a quick scenario here. Let's say uh God brings in two big fat gray things and he asks Adam to name them male and female. And Adam says, "I'm gonna call him an elephant." God chuckles and says, "Why?" And Adam says, "Cuz I got trunks." You know, Adam is a child in his mind. Okay? And God is working with him to see what his creation is like. So, this is kind of really neat and important here. So, as they're having this conversation, so God chuckles and he moves on, but Adam stops him and he says, "Well, wait a minute, God, I have a question." And I said, "Okay, what's your question?" And and Adam's like, "You know, I I named that dinosaur back there. He's got big old long fat tail to hold up his girth because he's a big he's a big guy. But these elephants are big, too. And you gave them a skinny long tail. why they need the tail to help them hold up their curves. And so God goes and explains his creation. His mind is thinking, you know, so God and Adam are building a relationship here. And while they're doing that, somebody's watching something take place. Now, I want to go into the next scripture here real quick because I think this is going to help you understand what's going on behind the scenes. Now, we're going to go back to Genesis chapter 1. Remember, this is the planning phase. Look at this. Genesis chapter 1 26 through 27. And God said, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God. He created him male and female. He created him. Now remember, this is chapter one, the planning phase. So he already made Eve. He already made Adam. He already made all the animals. But you got to remember, he formed all the animals from the dirt and then brought them to Adam. So his chapter one is all about planning. So now, so here God and Adam are having a relationship. God is spending so much time with Adam. This is absolutely incredible. He loves Adam. He's enjoying his relationship with Adam. So remember chapter 2 verse one, the opening scripture, and all the earth and heaven was finished. So now you also know the heavens are built and made and finished. They're there means all the angels are there. God doesn't go into details of what he did in the heavens and in fact you know the mystery of heaven is we know about angels because the term angel is a messenger so they came and spoke to us from heaven gave Mary a message gave you know Daniel messages so the angels have had an important role but if you read Ezekiel there's some interesting creatures in heaven book of Enoch even talks about watchers are they really angels you know was it a messenger or were they a different form you don't know this. So the heavenly realm already exists right here, right now. So God and Adam are relating. God made Adam in his image and he's like seeing his image in the flesh and there's this devil at that time. He was an angel and he's sitting there. He's watching this unfold. He's there going to Ezekiel and he talks about him being there. the uh the devil taking the form of the serpent. And again, I have so many scriptures. I didn't include that here, but you can go read that. So, here you've got Adam and God. And you know, when that the scriptures talk about, you know, the devil's there because you're going to hear about him interacting with Eve here in just a minute. You know, he's there. He took the form of the serpent. You know this. And they Ezekiel confirms it as being the devil. So, I'm telling you that he's watching God and Adam right here, right now in that moment. And he is trying to figure out what's going on because he knows what God looks like. You know, Lucifer knows what God look like. Looks like And there he is. He's looking at him and he's kind of looking at the tube, but he sees Adam in this weak form. He's he's uh flesh on top of it. He stinks. If you read the book of Enoch, I'm not going to describe what the angel smell is like, but it's not pleasant. We don't smoke it to them. So Lucifer standing there, he's watching this going, "Why?" Because in his mind, it was made the most beautiful creature. And he's like, "I'm top dog here, folks. You need to me. You need to worship me. And you got to give me Mike dude credit. This is the devil talking. Okay. So, here you are. You're you're seeing this scene unfold. You're seeing God. You're seeing Adam. They're getting along. God is thrilled. Yes, he made him in his own image. He loves him. He loves his creation. This is absolutely incredible because he's basically ignoring everybody else. And Lucifer is getting madder and matter because he can't figure out what's going on. In fact, in his mind, he's thinking that thing, that human thing is stupid. I could deceive that thing. So, let's watch what unfolds here because now you understand why suddenly the serpent goes and talks to Eve because the scripture doesn't tell you why. So when you understand that he was there watching this relationship build up, this love for such a lowly creature as us, we're lower than the angels. And at that time, Lucifer was higher than us. So you could see, you know, Lucifer had no love for us at all. He did not like us. So what happens next? So let us go into what he does with Eve. And I want you to see something. He goes after Eve. He didn't go after Adam. Adam spent time with God. Now, once Adam is done naming all the animals, God brings Eve into the picture, puts Adam to sleep. You can read the scriptures. I'm not going to read all of those. And Eve, you know, comes into existence. Now, I'm going to tell you right now, after they sin, they're pushed out of the Garden of Eden. Eve did not have a child in the Garden of Eden. So, now we're looking at a nine-month period. Okay? So, we have now nine months before Adam and Eve are outside of um the Garden of Eden. So, watch what the serpent says to Eve. And you have to understand Adam is right there with her. He he is um he's one happy boy. He's having his honeymoon. He's happy. So, let's look at what happens here with the serpent and Eve. So, we're in Genesis chapter 3 now, and this is verses four and five. Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it, your eyes will be open and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Again, I'm not bringing the whole conversation to you. This to say the least, Eve got deceived by Satan. And you can see Satan boldly lied because God did say, "You will surely die." Remember the rule I read earlier with Adam? God says, "You will surely die." And uh proof is they did die. um might have been like over 900 years later but they died. So Satan boldly lies. He deceives Eve and now the fall of man mankind occurs. Sin takes place the moment that Eve pulls that fruit off, takes a bite, gives some to her husband who's standing right there. He takes a bite as well. This sets in motion three curses that you and I still live under today, which is the fall of humankind. So, let's go take a look at those three curses in detail here. This is the part I wanted to get to, but I had to lay that foundation here for you. So, I do encourage you to go read Genesis 1 through3 and see how it all pans out and and continue on if you're interested. It's it's such a neat beginning to see how things got started. It really is. All right. So curse number one. So Genesis in chapter 3 verse4 and 15. So the Lord said to the serpent, "Because you have done this. You are cursed more than all cattle and more than every beast of the field. On your belly you shall go and you shall eat death all the days of your life. And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel." Again, I'm not going to go into all of what that implies, but the most important part I want you to see here is that he has to crawl on his belly. And what did God do in the planning phase? He gave authority to his image us over every creeping crawling thing on the earth. So he demoted Lucifer to be lower than the humans for that matter lower than the cattle. So he lost his rank. And you know if you go and you study the time between um Adam and Eve and they start having their household, their family and their kids and up to the flood and you realize this entire civilization comes into existence and you see that the Greek mythology comes out of there. Read the book of Enoch. You talk about the 200 watchers. Satan did this and he got demoted bad. And one of the thoughts I always had in the back of my mind is why wasn't he in charge of the 200 watchers and telling him what to do? But he got demoted. He's an outcast. So these 200 watchers decide to go ahead and do something and then they're cursed really bad, too. God um uh they can't die. He He doesn't kill his spiritual beings, but their offspring that they had with women. And this is in Genesis, I believe, chapter 6. you again I'm going down a rabbit trail but you can go read the scriptures if you if you want they had so the these giants had these offspring and God cursed the offspring and had them die within 500 years of their lives and then uh those angels those demons of 200 watchers here were put somewhere on the earth in a deep place with the covering of her but it's a dark place they they're not seeing any light they will be released in the time of tribulation in Revelation you can read more about that too in Jude food. But if you're interested, it's the book of Enoch. It is not in the Bible, but it is a book that was found with the old scriptures of the Bible in the C room case. So that might be something you're interested in looking at. So you can see here though that Satan is cursed and now he's below us. This is why we have the authority to o to overcome Satan. So when he comes in, you know, and God uses Satan. He's a puppet. So if God sends Satan to attack us, we can say, "Hey, you know what? Be gone with you. Get below my feet. you're not in my life. And then go to God and say, I don't know why you allowed him to do that, but I'm coming here and I'm gonna repent and I'm gonna get myself lined up with you. And that's how that works. So this is so you can see curse one. You can see our role in it. We still live with that today because we are dealing with Satan. So let's look at curse number two. This is against Eve woman. Uh so Genesis 3:16, to the woman he said, I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception. and in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you. Sorry women, but men are going to rule over us because that's part of the curse that we are. And uh although we're making strides, it ain't going to the the roles are never going to switch. But and notice she has to give birth in pain. And we still deal with that today, you know. And for all those methods doing in the water and not not that I experienced that I'm going to tell you right now I don't know how much easier it was but it was still painful having kids is painful that's a curse we still live with today now let's look at curse three this is the most interesting curse because you think Adam got cursed maybe in a roundabout way but look how God does it Genesis 3 17-19 then to Adam he said because you have heeded the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, you shall not eat of it. Cursed is the ground for your sake. In toil, you shall eat of it all the days of your life, both thorns and thistles. It shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return. We die. And what do our bodies do? They turn to dust if you bury them. same thing. Now, man still has to toil the ground. We have to plant um our seeds and we have to pull out the harvest. And that is something that we work hard to do. It is a hard life being a farmer. I'm going to tell you that right now. So, this is another curse that we still live with today. So this entire section of this message is thus for thus far uh the fall of mankind. This is you know we fell. And so every time you're born or anybody's born into this world, guess what? We're born into sin. Now another point to make out here I think that's very important is when God says he made us in his image we can procreate and we can have children and each of our child children become souls future souls. So when animals have their offspring they're they're blank. The animals are instinctive but they don't have the cognitive sensient thinking skills that humans do. We're the only ones that have that and we're the only ones that can procreate. Even the heavenly realm cannot do that. They're already established. So, however many angels God had made initially, that's it. They're already established. Okay. So, now what did God do to save us? This is awesome. Look at We're going to start here in Luke. Luke 1:16. Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people. So, he redeemed us. How did he do that? So, let's go look at the birth of Christ for just a quick moment here in Luke 1:es 30-33. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a son, and shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the son of the highest. And the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David. And he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. and of his kingdom there will be no end. So God decides, so he made us in his image and now all of a sudden he decides to have a biological son born into the flesh that he made in his image. You know the one that Lucifer thought we're just weak and stupid and can be deceived. Oh, God says, "You want to go there?" I'm telling you who I'm sending there. Look who he sent. Oh, this is so powerful. So, this is his biological son. But watch what he's called here. John 1 1-5. In the beginning was the word. Let's go back to Genesis. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. You see what God is doing here? He is saying Jesus is the redemption for what happened in Genesis. And look at what he says here. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him and without him nothing was made that was made. Chapter one that whole plan he says he made everything with the power of his word. And now he sent his word into flesh. Let's continue on. Uh in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shines in the darkness. And the darkness did not comprehend it. Read chapter one of Genesis when God said, "Let there be light in the darkness." Said, "I don't understand what that is. What's that? Do you know what that is?" And you know, it's like, "I don't know what that is." And he's reaffirming it in John chapter one. So God is connecting some dots here. And I want you to see this because this is absolutely imperative that you understand that God went after the devil and he said, "You going to do this? You took my people. You deceived my image, my creation. Now I'm going to take it back and I'm going to redeem it." Look at this. John chapter 1 verse14. And the word became flesh and dwelt among us. And we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth. Hallelujah. So we actually got to see the power of the word of God for those that were alive during Jesus' time during that time. So Jesus, he's alive. He's walking on the earth. He's the power that created it all. Imagine, you know, coming from that greatness, that that power and authority. I mean, put in the flesh. I don't know how that he adapted to, but he's got it. He can do it. And he did it. And then he told us what needed to be done. John chapter uh 14:6, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me." Jesus flat out said, "There's no other way to get to God." And God, you know, he's redeeming his people. And he's telling us that you have to be saved to get to me. But to be saved, you have to go to Jesus and ask for forgiveness and mercy because he's the only way. So he not only redeems, but he redeemed us, giving you a choice to choose whether you want to be redeemed or not. This is powerful. Let's go into Matthew here. Matthew 27:50-53. This is Jesus now dying on the cross. I want you to see what he had to endure to be able to say, "I can redeem you." Look at this. And and this is absolutely incredible. This is the power of the word that created this world. And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. Then behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. And that veil was several inches thick. You need a sharp blade to to cut that. And it was torn. Torn. That's how strong the angels and and that heavenly realm is. Uh top to bottom. And the earthquake and the rocks were split. And the graves were opened. And many bodies of the saints who have fallen asleep were raised and coming out of the graves after his resurrection. And they went into the holy city and appeared to many. Oh my goodness gracious. So remember, as soon as Adam and Eve ate of that fruit, they shall surely die. Soon as Jesus died on the cross, people came out of the graves and went around seeing their name. Imagine you buried Aunt Susie two years earlier and there she comes walking in the door. Hey guys, how's it going? Let me tell you about Jesus. Oh, this is so powerful. You got to understand Jesus said you had to surely die. I God can't change his word. He has his word. But I'm going to redeem you and fulfill you so that you you will surely die in the flesh. He died in the flesh. He set the example. But he says, "I'm going to get you out of that grave, absent from the body, present with the Lord." And he kept his promise. That is awesome. Oh, hallelujah. Oh, hallelujah. Did I change that screen? I wanted to change. Yeah. So, now look at what Jesus does. Okay. I'm very excited here. Matthew 28:5-7. But the angel answered and said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified. He's not here, for he is risen." And he said, "Come and see the place where the Lord lay and go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead." And indeed he is going before you into Galilee. There you will see him. Behold, I have told you. Oh my goodness gracious. Jesus came out of the grave. Shall surely die. You're going to die. Everybody is appointed to die once. But Jesus says, "I have redeemed you if you believe." Oh, and you get to come out of the grave. This is so powerful. Paul explains it here in Ephesians. This is this is neat. Watch this. In Ephesians, how Paul explains it. Ephesians 1 uh 7-10. In him we have redemption. There's the redemption through his blood. You know, Jesus had to sacrifice his blood on the cross. The forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence. having made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure which he purposed in himself that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times. Oh, this is awesome. He might gather together in all in one all things in Christ both which are in heaven and which are in on earth in him. There's a will and a purpose here. And remember Jes God talked about it in the planning phase of chapter one of Genesis and he says I'm going to redeem my people. And here he has done that. He has redeemed us. We are saved by asking for the forgiveness of sins. And once you do that, because forgiveness, you know, God is merciful. And there's nothing that you did that will make him say, "No, Jesus is going to forgive you of every sin you ever did. You killed somebody, he's going to forgive you." You know, I think a lot of people are going to be shocked when they get to heaven and they find, especially, you know, believers, they get to heaven and they're going to find out what if Hitler asked God to forgive him before he killed himself. I'm sure a lot of people are not going to be happy about that, but this is the mercy that Jesus has for us. So, we sin. So, now every time we're born, we're born in sin. That was the fall of mankind. But when we come out of those graves, here is the re rise of the image of God. And now we get a new body. We' Previous Next

WHEN JESUS SPEAKS Minister Lisa Kane January 21, 2023 Objective: The objective of this message is to reveal the authority, power, and self-control of Jesus Christ as demonstrated through His words, particularly during the events in the Garden of Gethsemane and leading up to His crucifixion. The teaching aims to deepen believers’ understanding of who Jesus is—eternal Creator, Redeemer, King, and Priest—and to show how His spoken word carries divine authority that can transform lives. Listeners are encouraged to not only recognize His majesty but also to apply the principles of confession, faith, and the power of the spoken word in their own walk with Christ. Synopsis: This message explores the profound significance of Jesus’ words, beginning with His prayer of surrender in the Garden of Gethsemane (Luke 22:41–44), where He accepted the will of the Father despite unimaginable agony. The teaching highlights Jesus’ humanity and divinity—His stress so intense that He sweat blood, yet His determination to carry out redemption for all who would believe. The sermon then examines His declaration “I am he” (John 18), spoken when Judas and the authorities came to arrest Him. This statement, rooted in the divine name revealed in Exodus 3:14, demonstrates His eternal identity and raw authority—so powerful that those who came to seize Him fell to the ground. Despite possessing the power to summon legions of angels (Matthew 26:52–54), Jesus willingly restrained Himself, laying down His kingship to fulfill His role as High Priest and sacrifice for humanity’s salvation. The message traces Jesus’ identity back to creation itself (Genesis 1, John 1), showing that He is the Word by whom all things were made, the One who spoke light into existence without the sun. Scriptures in Isaiah 45 and Revelation are woven in to emphasize His sovereignty over both creation and history, from stretching out the heavens to bringing about the final day of the Lord. The teaching stresses the importance of respecting and responding to the authority of Christ’s words, contrasting the unbelief of those who rejected Him with the salvation offered to all who confess Him as Lord (Romans 10:9–10). Believers are called to recognize the same power of confession in their lives, using their words to bless, to stand in righteousness, and to live out their salvation. The message closes with an urgent call to repentance and personal confession of Jesus as Lord and Savior, reminding listeners that now is the time to respond to His voice, for His word sustains creation itself and holds the key to eternal life. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine. I'm recording this on January 21st, 2023. Welcome. This message is called When Jesus Speaks. Amen. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we bless this message and we thank you for your blessing upon it. We pray that we have ears to hear, a heart, an understanding to discern and to receive, and that we believe and get a better picture of who you are and the authority and the power that you have when you speak, Father God. And we pray that we apply it to our lives and live it in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God. Amen. Amen. All right, let's go to our opening scripture here. We are going to be looking at the Garden of Gethsemane. So we're going to start here at Luke 22 41-44. And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw. And he knelt down and prayed, saying, "Father, if it is your will, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done." Then an angel appeared to him from heaven, strengthening him, and being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. Then his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. I think this is gonna be one of the more emotional messages that I teach on. Uh this has been one of the ones that I kind of struggled with, but I'm very excited about it and excited to share the word. I'm hoping with this message that you have another viewpoint of who Jesus is to you because once you see the power and the authority of who he is and where he's been all this time and what he's doing, you're going to see a persona here that is just absolutely amazing. It should make you drop to the floor in all reality. So now notice, let's go back here. Let's take a look real quick. And he was withdrawn from them. them is the disciples. The garden of Gethsemane was one of Jesus' favorite places and here it is the middle of the night and he's prayed I think about 3 hours and he has asked his friends to be there and his disciples are his friends. You you have to understand Jesus has been there from the beginning and I'm going to show you scripture of this in just a moment but he's been here. So when he went to go get his disciples he was probably a little anxious because he knew them already. You have to, you see, you got to see the difference of who Jesus is here. And he's excited. So when he says, "Follow me." They followed him. These are the ones that Jesus picked to be beside him during this time. And this is going to be a rough time because here he is in the garden of Gethsemane. And he is under so much stress and pressure. So he's hoping to get a little bit out of his friends, his disciples who became apostles. These are men that followed him, knew him personally. and ended up starting the church and Christianity. So here, you know, Jesus has his buddies there, but they kept falling asleep on him. They they fell asleep. It was the middle of night. They were tired. Could be a spiritual thing, too, you know, but Jesus, he he's, you know, and one of the things I look at in this moment here in the Garden of Gethsemane is um it's kind of like a a go no type of meeting, if you will. If you ever watched a a space launch or any of the movies related to that, they have a meeting that they decide, is this the date we want to do this? Are we ready for this date? Is go or no go? They make that decision based on every division, everything there, how's everything ready? Is it all ready? And they get the headcount of everything and and they decide whether they're going to go with it. So here Jesus is in the garden of Gethsemane and he's I think coming to the realization that you know what I'm about to do something that's absolutely remarkable and the pain and the suffering that he's associated with it which he knew because he talked about in Psalms already. So this was something he was fully aware of and knew exactly what he was going to do and yet he's still sweaty blood. He's still under the pressure. So let's back up a little bit here. Let's take a look before time, before mankind even existed, before this earth existed, before the universe existed. There's God the Father, God the Son, Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. And God the Father, you know, kind of just speaking his mind says, you know, I think I'm going to make a mankind, and I'm going to make them in my image. And the Holy Spirit says, well, I caution you because they're going to fall and rebel against you. And Jesus says, "No, I got this. I'm gonna redeem them." So here he decides, "I'm gonna do this." And he goes for it. And here we are at the moment where he now has to go through it. And I mean, look at this. He needed an angel to appear from him, from heaven, and strengthen him because he was in so much agony that he sweated great drops of blood. Do you know that in that very moment of time there's a couple things going on besides what I just spoke of? And I'm sure there's a whole lot more in the spirit that we don't even know. I I just the restraint and the self-control here is absolutely incredible. But in his mind, and I've talked about this in relation to the flood, because he got down to eight men, any eight people on the planet uh in the time of the flood that survived the flood. He could have destroyed the earth then. He could have not done this at this point. He could have not gone to the cross to shed his blood to redeem us. He could have not. And I'll show you scriptures of what he talks about there in just a moment. But at the moment that he decides he's going to do this, he's thinking of every person that chooses him, that includes me, that includes you. He's in that moment. He says, "There's Lisa. I'm going to do this for her. You got to grasp this." And look at the pain and the agony he went through. This is the moment of the garden of Gethsemane. Now, there's more to this. I want you to see the self-control he has here. But watch this. Let's go to John. Now, we're now all three gospels talk about this. And I just did Luke. Now, we're going to look at John and look at another part of what's happening here in the Garden of Gethsemane. So, now the crowd shows up. This is where Judas the Scariot brings uh the Pharisees, Sadducees, chiefs, priests and and the, you know, whomever he can gather, police, whatever they have, whatever they call it. But they come to arrest him and he makes a plan. He tells them, "I'm going to kiss the man and he's going to be the one I identify. You need to arrest him." And and by the way, the fact that they didn't know him when he had been in the synagogues teaching on the hills teaching where there were thousands of people listening to him and following him at a time tells you that when people are not spending time with Jesus, they're conniving against him. They're doing everything they can to prevent him from his movement. And the same principle that happened then is happening today. The moment you get close to Jesus, the moment that you choose to be with him and have more of him, you've got people who don't know him, don't want to know him, do not want to seek him out, conniving to keep you from getting close to him. And why? It's the enemy. But anyways, let's look at this moment here. They answered him. He asked him, "Who are you seeking?" They answered him, "Jesus of Nazareth." And Jesus said to them, "I am he." and Judas who betrayed him also stood with him. Now when he said to them, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground. Then he asked him again, "Whom are you seeking?" Now you got to look at this. Now remember this, this message is about when Jesus speaks, and I'm hoping that you can see the authority here. He spoke I am he for the first time in the Gospels. At least I believe that uh you can do your homework and check it out yourself. I was trying to search it and I couldn't see any place that he said that. But again, I I could be wrong. But here he is. He finally says it, you know, because they've been asking, "Who are you? Where did you come from?" And he always says, "It is as you say." I'm going to show you scriptures on that what I was able to find. But here, he he says, "I am he." and they fall down. Now, I was in a car accident over 25 years ago, nearly 30 years ago now is if I'm correct, but anyways, back then. And um I remember the stunned moment and I wasn't there. I remember coming out of it. There was an ambulance already with his lights on going to another location and he saw the accident. and he was an eyewitness to it. So, he turned around, came over, and he actually was right in front of me. And I'm sitting there, my hands on the steering wheel, and I'm not there. Physically, I am. Mentally, I'm not. And he's trying to get my attention. And this is where I'm coming out of it cuz I'm in stunned, shocked moment that I was just in an accident. And he's waving to me, trying to get my attention. And it dawns on me. Oh, he he's waving at me. and he's about to get out because he sees I'm not responding and that's when it dawns on me. Ah, he's looking for an answer for and I snap out of it and I'm like, I'm okay. I'm okay. In fact, later on the car was still drivable but the battery had broke, cracked. The acid had hit the windshield. At that moment, I didn't realize that. I had seen it and later on when I was driving and I see the stain marks around the window, the windshield, I remembered it. So there there's this moment of stunned shock that goes into you. And this is what happened with all of the people when he said, "I am he." But look what Jesus did. Soon as they fell down to the ground, he asked him again. This reminds me of the ambulance driver trying to get my attention. He says, "Whom are you seeking?" In other words, come on out of the stunness. I I didn't mean to knock you down with my words. But we need to continue on because you see he's made his decision. He's going to get arrested. He knows this. So now he's ready to move on and go to the cross and do what he needs to do. So now at this moment, now remember I told you I wanted to show you the scriptures of when he said he could call the angel. So after all of this, Peter tries to draw his sword and he actually cuts the ear off one of the men there. And Jesus puts the ear back on and heals him. Look at though here. Now we're going to Matthew. Look at this moment. Matthew 26:52-54. Because Jesus is explaining everything now. But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in his place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword." Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my father and he will provide me with more than 12 legions of angels? How then could the scriptures be fulfilled that it must happen thus? You see, Jesus could still be alive today. Didn't have to go through the death process. All he had to do was call on dad and say, "Hey, Dad, give me 12 legions of l uh give me a whole bunch of legions of angels." But no, he decided to go through with it. And you know, and he's showing the authority when he says, "I am he," and everybody falls down. Showing the authority. But when he picks him up and he gets everything back under control, gets control of Peter, heals the ears, in that moment, he's also taking off his cloak of authority in relation to his kingship. You see, he's not being a king right now. And in fact, this is why the Israelites um rejected him. They're looking for a king. They're looking for a man. They weren't looking for the son of God. They They called him a messiah, but they were looking for a man. A man who can be a king. And they didn't. Jesus didn't fit that profile. In his first coming, he did not. He will fit that profile at the second coming. And they're going to be in for a big surprise cuz anyways, they'll find out in the second half of the seven-year tribulation. But here Jesus takes off his kingship, puts it down, and he says, "I need to go sacrifice myself as priest." And he takes this moment to do that. And he goes on. Now look at this. He and remember this is where I wanted to talk to you about it is as you say in Mark 15 2 and Luke 23:3. So now he's he's with Pilate and he's about to be crucified. Pilot's questioning him. So again, this is like that go no-go kind of thing. Pilate asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" And he answered and says, "It is as you say." And here you see it in exact duplicate in Luke 23:3. Then Pilot asked him saying, "Are you the king of the Jews?" He answered says, "It is as you say." Notice he didn't say, "I am he." Because he would have knocked Pilate down to the ground. Do you see his spoken word of authority here? You see why I'm calling this message when Jesus speaks, he can speak. So he had not said, "I am he" the entire time until the garden of Gethsemane. And when he said it, he spoke with such authority it made mankind fall down to its knees. Bottom actually, if you want to get technical, they fell. That was it. So who is Jesus? Especially since he just acknowledged he's now king. He's telling Pilot, "I'm the king." It is as you say. But see what Pilate didn't understand and what the Israelites didn't understand. He says, "I'm putting down my kingship so I can be the priest because the world needs me right now. The nation of Israel needs to wait." Oh, and thank God for that because, you know, I'm not an Israelite. I'm considered a Gentile. But because I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, I'm now a believer in Christ, I am now part of the kingdom of God. Technically, I'm not a Gentile anymore. I'm part of the Jewish kingdom. The Israelites will get there, but for now, Jesus established and there is his body of Christ, his bride. That's who we are. So, notice he says, "I am." And in he. Now, vocabulary is very, very interesting. Let's go look at when that word I am was used to the Israelites because again, this is another sign. Remember, you know, in all the teaching I've been teaching, I I taught that Daniel knew when Messiah would be cut off. The wise men found the Messiah and acknowledge him. John the Baptist told him. And here in the Garden of Gethsemane, he told him, "I am." This is the me that was spoken to Moses. Go back. Exodus 3:14. And God said to Moses, "I am who I am." That is Jesus talking, by the way. Jesus is God. We're going to get to that in just a moment. I am who I am. And he said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I am has sent me to you." Now, they should have known again here in the Garden of Gethsemane that this was the Messiah that they should have been looking for, but they rejected him. Oh, and he needed to be crucified. So, who is this guy that's been there? Look at what John says. John 1 verse 1-3. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. So you saw here in Exodus you saw he's with God. This is Jesus talking. So now John is describing him. Says he was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him and without him nothing was made that was made. All right let's follow the breadcrumbs breadcrumbs. And let's go to Genesis. Look at what Genesis says. Then God said let there be light. And there was light. Jesus said, "I am he." Jesus said, "Let there be light." And let me tell you the power and the authority here. He said, "I am." He said, "Let there be light." Did you know that sun wasn't created yet? Meaning he created light out of nothing. Oh. Oh. You got to grasp this. Understand when he says, "I am, he." He's the creator of everything, the entire universe. And he made it without the elements that we see and we take the laws of physics into existence here today that we follow that we believe in. But he says no no let there be light. The I am said let there be light. And there was light and it wasn't from the sun. It's just this light that came in. And here we are made in his image. I used this analogy before. I'm going to say it again here. How many people did it take to make a flashlight? We made light, too. But we did it with our limitations. This is See, we're in the image of God. We're a type. We're in his shadow. So, that means his spoken words of authority, but he had self-control and self-esteem. Only those people fell. Can you imagine if he just blurted out something accidentally and said, "Be gone with you, Earth." I mean, really, think about that. The the power and the authority that he has. He you got to grasp that because I am telling you, he says it. And I'm going to take you to Isaiah right now because he's also re um reinforcing this. I want you to see this. Now, this chapter is Isaiah 45. He is talking to King Cyrus through Isaiah the prophet. Now, King Cyrus didn't come into existence for like 400 years. So, Isaiah wrote this 400 years in advance. See, Jesus knew everything that was going on. This is why he in the Garden of Gethsemane could say, "But I know Lisa." You see how this all connects? This is why he said, "Let there be light. I know Lisa. I know John. I know Peter. I know Paul. You see how he set this all up? But anyways, he's talking to King Cyrus. I'm going to show you the scriptures here. When King Cyrus came to invade Jerusalem, the priest came out and uh opened up Isaiah 45, scrolled open the scroll, and he read it to King Cyrus. Josephus recorded this as a matter of fact and uh I recorded King Cyrus's response and he says something like like but the priest just let him in. In other words, there was no bloodshed. Priest said, "Come on in. You're welcome here. There was no war. No, we didn't, you know, the Israelites did not stop King Cyrus from invading, if you will." And so let's go look because God Jesus is talking and he's describing this. Watch this. So we're going to be looking at Isaiah 45 where we're looking at verse 7 and verse 12. Verse 7. I form the light and create darkness. I make peace and create calamity. I the Lord do all these things. I have made the earth and is verse 12. I have made the earth and created man on it. I my hands stretched out the heavens and all their hosts I have commanded. Now notice here he says I am I the Lord do all these things. He didn't say I am but it was a softened spoken word through Isaiah. it refrain self-control but the I am with his authority is saying and and you know did you see this I form the light and create darkness look at this I make peace and create calamity God does it all Jesus does all you know when someone asks why do bad things happen well Jesus says well I created that I cause all calamities remedies. But why? Cuz now you got to get down to the root cause. You know, here you and I, we're a type of him. We're in his image. But what is the thing that we deal with the most? Sin. What is sin? Sin is rejecting Jesus. And the more time you spend away from Jesus, the more calamities that come toward you because Jesus is trying to chastise you. He's trying to get you back into his presence. Come on in, my little child. Come in, my brother and sister in Christ. Come in. Come back to me. Don't just go to church. Spend time with me. And let's do it in in secret. Psalm 91. dwell in the secret place with the Lord and you will have all these benefits because what happens when you're dwelling in the secret place with the Lord, sin cannot join you. Sin flees. And what happens is now you've got your peace in your life. And it's because you now are having a spoken relationship with one another, which is part of dwelling in the secret place. You read his word, you read it out loud. You pray to him. You speak out loud. You confess. You speak out loud. Now, I want to also take you to another level to show you how much Jesus is because I want you to see remember I told you he says, "Let there be light." And there was light. And it wasn't because of the sun. It wasn't because of the universe. This is and notice here he says, "I my hand stretched out the heavens." He's talking about the heavens. You know, prior to the flood, the earth was different. It watered itself. There was no rain. There had never been any rain. So, it was kind of a bubble. And the people on the earth at that time could see all the stars and could see all the shapes that were out there and they can see the message of Messiah in the stars. So they had the message the entire time. But Jesus after that flood, he had to stretch the heavens. He had to change it and pull them back because now again we're where sin sin is getting more and more on this earth. He has to pull himself back to keep himself protected. So I want you to see now why this is important. Again, I'm trying to show you Jesus in a different light. Trying to get you to a new level of respect for the man of God, for the son of God who became the man of God who died and redeemed us. Amen. You hear in Revelation 6:12-4, I looked when he opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake. The sun became black as sackcloth of air hair. And the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its late fig when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up and every mountain island was moved out of its place. And if you read the rest of the scriptures, you will know that mankind looked up and said, "Oh no, get me to the caves. caves fall on me and kill me. I do not want to face him. So they call it the day of the Lord, the day of wrath. That is the event. That is actually the same event that happens in Ezekiel 38 with Gog and Magog attempting to invade Israel. God kills them. Anyways, but I want you to see how he scrolls the sky up. He does not need the universe and he does not need the sky for us to live on this planet alive and well. Because I'm going to tell you right now, we didn't float off the planet. Because his spoken word is what holds us all together. And that's what science has been trying to find all these years. And they can't find it because they refuse to go see Jesus for who he is. And Jesus keeps it a mystery from them. So here I am showing you now how powerful the authority of his spoken word is over the entire universe over us. And I'm telling you right now this is all about us there. You know there are no aliens out there. And let me let me give you why Jesus loves us so much that he chose to die for us. He doesn't need any any aliens out there. And as you can see, he pulls all that away. Now, mankind will probably be deceived by this because the enemy, the devil, the demons have been impersonating grays and greens and what have you to try to fool the world that there are aliens. So, you wouldn't accept Jesus because Jesus is the creator of all this. I don't want you to believe that. But he is the creator of all this and he has got so much power that when he acknowledges that he is he I am he. It makes people fall to the ground. That is absolutely incredible. And here he can remove the sky and we don't float off because they tell you in science that we need gravity that we need the planet to be spinning so that we don't float off. I don't know how it works, how it is, but I know that the spoken word of Jesus is the one that makes it happen. Hallelujah. So here he removes the sky. So now that you know that you have a messiah that has this kind of authority where there is nothing else, you know, and if you really want to get technical about aliens, let me show you a little insightful kind of thing here. You know, in uh I believe it's Revelation 8, for the first five months of the 7-year tribulation, people cannot die. And Jesus releases a horselike scorpion thing with a scorpion tail that stings you. And these people will suffer. And these are people that do not have the mark on them to keep them safe. The 144,000 are the ones that are going to have their mark on them. And then the two witnesses have power and authority to they'll protect themselves for three and a half years. So that's what's going on. Horse like scorpion. Does that not like sound like um the aliens from the alien movie? Maybe uh who is it? Uh Steven Spielberg that did that. I don't remember who actually George Lucas. Either one of them. Whoever came up with that idea. Oh my goodness. I bet you they were reading that and thought of that. But I'm telling you, they're not coming from another planet. You you got to understand there's a heavenly realm here that we know nothing about. We're in the flesh. We've been in this atmosphere our whole lives. We have no idea what kind of creatures are out there. We know what they're watchers. We know that they're angels. We know that there are cherubim. We know that there are serap. We know about these horselike scorpion things. What else is there? You see, you don't know. But if you go to Jesus, he will show you and he will reveal it to you. And that is the power and the authority that he has. So when you get his word, his Bible, this is his spoken word. When he speaks, it it I read it a lot, so it's pretty beat up. But when he speaks, we need to show respect because I'm telling you, he could easily stop all this. But he chooses to honor his word, honor the prophecies, and that is awesome. You have got to it's time to repent now and get close to Jesus now. Don't wait till the seven-year tribulation. You don't want to wait for that time frame because the rules all change. Everything changes at that time. And you can go read all that scripture. I just did a little teaching on that last week about two weeks ago. So I am telling you now's the time to repent and look at what confession is. Look at Romans 10:9 and 10. That if you confess with your mouth, you see, you see this? When Jesus speaks, he spoke with his mouth. He said, "I am he." People fell. When you confess with your mouth, look at this. The Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, I confess you over my life, over the sin in my life, over my salvation, over the sickness, over the disease, over the bitterness, the the emotions, the hate, the anger or the lack of love or the love. I speak Jesus, the Lord Jesus. When you speak, you confess and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead. Why do you have to believe that? Because he's alive. Cuz he went to the cross. He took that moment in Garden Gethsemane and said, "I'm doing it." And he got on that cross and he gave his blood and it went down to the mercy seat and it landed on there, shook the ground and he tore the temple in the temple veil in two. And the best part of it is is he said since there's no more veil, there's no more priest that needs to come on your behalf. He says you can come to me yourself. That is what you are in the image of Jesus because you confessed the Lord Jesus. That is the power of the word of God when Jesus speaks. For with the heart, he tells you what the consequences are. With the heart, one believes unto righteousness. And with the mouth, confession is made into salvation. The saving part takes place. When you speak it, when the heart believes, the righteousness goes forth. Oh, hallelujah. And you know what? We need to be in righteousness because that is those of us that get into that place are the ones that God takes with him. We don't have to go through that seven-year tribulation. In fact, we're rejecting the invitation to it. Cuz those that are alive on the day of the Lord, the day of wrath, they're the ones that if they never confess Jesus the Lord God, the son of God, they got to uh be here for the seven-year tribulation. And I'm going to tell you right now, most people will die during that time. What comes out of it is just a few people. Kind of like the flood. In fact, he says that man will be finer than of gold. I don't know what of gold is, but there'll be enough people to repopulate the earth and they'll have a thousand years to repopulate. And they will. You can go read that. That's all in Revelation. You can go read all that. But it is time to confess. It is time to speak because you have that same authority. Now, do you have to have that self restraint? Yeah. Because now you got to think that guy cuts you off on the freeway. Lord, I bless him. Lord, I bless him with better education in in driving. And you see how you can manipulate the situation. That is your confession of that moment. And it brings salvation. And you know what? It's going to save somebody from being killed later on when the guy doesn't learn from his same mistakes that he does. Guy, gal, whoever's driving. But you can see how that application applies there. How it works there. You guys, this is the time to confess. This is the time to understand the authority who Jesus is because I mean, he can remove the universe and we can still be here. That earns my respect and I hope it earns yours as well. Now is the time. Say it with me. Dear Jesus, I confess you as a son of God and I ask you to forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Father God. Thank you, Jesus, for teaching me how to get saved in Jesus' name. Amen. All right. Well, I love this message. I hope that you enjoy it as well. Let's close in a word of prayer now. And Father God, if there's anyone who did confess you here and now, Lord, I plant the seed in them. And I say, I bless that seed that it will mature and grow and be watered by your word and that individual will seek you and continue to seek you each and every day and live for you and believe in you. Thank you, Father God. And Lord, we bless the word again and we thank you for your word because you are powerful. Oh, and awesome in the name of Jesus. Amen. God bless you and I will see you in the next message. Bye-bye. Previous Next

BINDING AND LOOSING The objective of Binding and Loosing is to teach believers how to exercise the spiritual authority given to them through Jesus Christ. By understanding and applying the biblical principle of binding and loosing, Christians can release the power of God’s Word, resist the works of darkness, intercede effectively for others, and walk in freedom through forgiveness and agreement with God’s will. BINDING AND LOOSING Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of Binding and Loosing is to teach believers how to exercise the spiritual authority given to them through Jesus Christ. By understanding and applying the biblical principle of binding and loosing, Christians can release the power of God’s Word, resist the works of darkness, intercede effectively for others, and walk in freedom through forgiveness and agreement with God’s will. Synopsis: In Binding and Loosing, Pastor Marcos unpacks the meaning of Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:18, revealing the divine authority given to every believer. This authority, rooted in the power of God’s Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit, allows Christians to confront spiritual strongholds and release God’s purposes on earth as they are already settled in heaven. The teaching emphasizes three essential rules: Agreement with God’s Word – Believers must speak words aligned with Scripture, for God’s Word carries the life-giving energy to bring transformation. The Power of Agreement with Others – When Christians join together in prayer and faith, their authority is multiplied, and Jesus is present among them. Walking in Forgiveness – Spiritual authority cannot operate where bitterness and unforgiveness remain. Releasing others mirrors the release Christ gave us at salvation and keeps us in spiritual freedom. Pastor Marcos also highlights how binding and loosing applies both individually and corporately. Believers can pray against spirits of unbelief that blind people from salvation and loose the conviction of the Holy Spirit upon them. Likewise, the church collectively can bind demonic influences over communities and nations. Through practical examples and biblical foundations, the lesson shows that binding and loosing is not about controlling people but restraining demonic powers and releasing God’s will. When spoken in faith, in agreement with Scripture, and under the authority of Jesus’ name, the Word of God releases spiritual energy that transforms circumstances and establishes God’s kingdom on earth. Inspired Teaching: Matthew 18:18 “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Say what you will, but Jesus is clearly talking about the awesome power that He has given to everyone that believes in Him. What is this power, and how does it work? First we need to understand that this power is a spiritual power that transcends all physical limitations—that is the good news, the bad news is that since the nature of this power is spiritual, those who are carnally minded have no clue as to how it is to be implemented. Understanding how this power works, and how to implement it, will radically change the lives of every believer that masters the how-to of this awesome gift from God. Since the source of this power is spiritual, we need to have a working understanding of how spiritual energy is released. John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (giving energy).” The source of all life giving energy is in the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is living and powerful (energy)…” The first rule of binding and loosing is that words must be spoken which are in agreement with the Word of God. A different rendering of our opening text is this: Whatever you bind on earth having been bound in heaven. This is the translation that many scholars of the original Greek believe is more accurate for this text. And it makes more sense, since we are called to enforce the Word of God here on this earth, and we know from Scripture that the Word of God is forever settled in heaven. So that whatever has already been settled in heaven is the very thing that we are to declare here on this earth. Which brings us to the nuts and bolts of this foundational principle. The disciples noticed that Jesus spent a lot of time in prayer and that His prayers were always answered. Which prompted them to ask Jesus to teach them how to pray. Luke 11:2 “So He said to them, ‘When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The key to binding and loosing is in knowing what God’s will is in whatever situation we are praying for. For example, we know that God is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance. If I am praying for someone’s salvation—be it a family member, a friend, or a foe—I can bind the spirit of unbelief that is hindering them from receiving the revelation knowledge that will bring them to God’s salvation. No body gets saved unless a believer is praying for them, but not everybody that is being prayed for gets saved, because of their unbelief. That is where binding the spirit of unbelief can make all the difference. When we pray for someone’s salvation, we are loosing the conviction of God’s Spirit over them so that they will realize that they have a need to be saved. But some people have been bound by an unbelieving spirit that does not allowed them to see their need. After we bind the spirit of unbelief that has them bound, they will be free to believe. If you have a love one, or even an enemy, for whose salvation you’ve prayed and nothing has happened yet, add to your prayer for their salvation this prayer for binding the spirit of unbelief over them: Pray this out loud: I bind, in the name of Jesus, the spirit of unbelief that is preventing (name the person that your are praying for) from receiving the conviction of the Holy Spirit that will allowed him/her to be saved. If God was willing to violate the free will that He has given to all mankind, we would not have to bind or loose anything. The devil is the deceiver—who comes in unawares—and steals man’s ability to receive God’s salvation by binding them with unclean spirits. But to those who have accepted the Word of Truth, power has been given to demolish all these demonic strongholds that keep people bound. Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” The second rule of binding and loosing, is in the power of agreement, not just with the Word that is forever settled in heaven, but with one another who are like-minded in our beliefs as well. When we speak in agreement with the Word of God in heaven, we are enabled to bind and to loose things here on earth. But when we add the power of agreement with one another, Jesus is in our midst. John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” It is obvious that the devil’s influence affects the masses as well as the individuals. So that as individuals we can pray binding and loosing over those who are within our sphere of influence, but as members of the church we can corporally pray for entire communities and even nations. How does it all works? Everything that God made, He made through the power of His spoken Word. Everything that exists today, it is maintained and sustained by the power of His spoken Word. Unlike animals, we humans were created with the ability to reason and to believe on that which is literal and which can be propagated through the spoken word. 2 Corinthians 4:13 “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.” When we speak by faith in accordance with the written Word of God, we release the energy that is both able to restrain and to let go that which has already been settled in heaven according to the Word of God. First we need to know the written Word that applies to our circumstance, then we need to speak that Word that is in agreement with the heavenly testimony—by faith believing that as we do so—the energy needed to transform our circumstance has been properly allocated and will accomplish the task for which we sent it out. Isaiah 55:11 “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth: It shall not return to Me void, but is shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Notice how God is referring to the Word that goes forth from His mouth, that which He spoke; and also that sometimes it requires a process to take place before that which He spoke comes to pass, since prosperity is a process that sometimes takes time. When we by faith bind or loose anything in accordance with the Word of God, we need to rest in the fact that the energy has already been released and the process started, that will eventually bring about the desire results. Remember that we are dealing with spiritual entities when we are binding and loosing. Angels as well as demons are spiritual creatures whose none-physical bodies are made of energy and respond to the energy that governs them, which is the Word of God, and to those who by faith speak it. Jude 9 “Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you!’” Remember that it was through the Word, that God created everything that exists, be it physical or spiritual. So that everything must submit to the power of the Word of God, which resides in our Lord Jesus Christ.” John 16:24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy maybe full.” So that when we bind and we loose in the name of Jesus—by faith in His written Word—we are enforcing His Word over our physical realm, by exercising the dominion that Adam lost, but which Jesus has restored to us in His name, in this present age. The third rule of binding and losing has to do with us walking in the freedom that the forgiveness of our Lord has brought into our lives. Matthew 18:27 “Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.” Notice that at the point of salvation—delivered from a debt that we could not possibly pay—we were released, and enabled to release others that were in debt to us as well. Failure to release those who are indebted to us, puts us back into a place of bondage, powerless to free ourselves or others. Matthew 18:33-35 “Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Notice how our Lord brings it down to the very personal level of if each of you fail to do this. Let’s examine this closer, why does the penalty seem so harsh for one single violation of this principle? Remember that we are dealing with spiritual power that is given to us in order to restrain spiritual entities, it can in no way be used against or to control human people, but the demons that drive them. At the point of our salvation, the Lord forgave us all our trespasses and released us from all our sins. Then He gave us His name and the authority to bind and to loose spiritual entities on behalf of those who are still bound by the enemy. If we are not willing to forgive those who sinned against us, then we are still in the flesh, and not in the spirit. We have authority over nothing. Acts 26:18 “To open their eyes (through binding and loosing), in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Let us come in full agreement with the Word of God, let us speak by faith the word that binds the spirits and that looses the hindering darkness, and by all means make sure that we hold nothing against our humankind.
