THE SYSTEMATIC EXTERMINATION OF CHRISTIANITY The objective of this teaching is to unveil the prophetic and historical pattern of persecution against God’s people—both Jews and Christians—and to demonstrate how the current global hostility toward Christianity reflects the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. It aims to warn believers about the intensifying attempt to eradicate Christianity worldwide, highlight the complicity of governments and secular ideologies in this persecution, and prepare the church to endure tribulation while holding fast to faith in the promises of God. THE SYSTEMATIC EXTERMINATION OF CHRISTIANITY Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of this teaching is to unveil the prophetic and historical pattern of persecution against God’s people—both Jews and Christians—and to demonstrate how the current global hostility toward Christianity reflects the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. It aims to warn believers about the intensifying attempt to eradicate Christianity worldwide, highlight the complicity of governments and secular ideologies in this persecution, and prepare the church to endure tribulation while holding fast to faith in the promises of God. Synopsis: This message explores the opening of the fifth seal in Revelation 6, which reveals the souls of martyrs crying out for justice, and connects it to both the historic slaughter of the Jews and the ongoing persecution of Christians. The text distinguishes between the Jews who suffered martyrdom simply for their identity (particularly in the Holocaust and future tribulations) and the Christians who are killed for their faith and testimony in Jesus Christ. Together, their shed blood signifies the unification of God’s people in prophetic fulfillment. The teaching underscores that persecution is not a distant or isolated phenomenon but is happening now on a systematic, global scale. Examples are given of the eradication of Christian communities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, and Palestinian territories—nations where Christianity once flourished but is now nearly extinguished due to violence, intimidation, and government indifference. Even Western nations, including the United States, are shown as complicit through policies that empower hostile regimes and through their own cultural rejection of biblical values under the banner of secular humanism. The parallels with Lot in Sodom highlight how societies increasingly reject God’s moral law, demanding conformity to depravity and branding dissenters as intolerant. The rise of Islam’s demand for submission and the West’s embrace of secular humanism both work toward silencing Christianity. The teaching warns that this escalating trend fulfills Jesus’ prophecy of hatred “for His name’s sake” (Luke 21:17), pointing toward imminent judgment. Finally, the lesson distinguishes tribulation—what men do to believers—from wrath—what God does to unbelievers. While Christians are promised deliverance from God’s wrath, they are also called to endure tribulation faithfully. Believers are urged to remain steadfast, expose darkness with God’s Word, and trust that God will ultimately avenge the blood of His people when the fullness of martyrdom is complete. The ultimate choice is presented starkly: stand with Christ and suffer persecution, or conform to the world and face eternal judgment. Inspired Teaching: Revelation 6:10-11 “And they cried with a loud voice, saying, ‘How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?’ Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.” The opening of the fifth seal reveals that before the rapture of the church takes place, which by the way takes place after the opening of the sixth seal, that there will be a great slaughter of two types or classes of peoples, and then it defines who those peoples are and the reason why they were killed: Revelation 6:9 “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God and for the testimony which they held.” Who are the fellow servants and who are their brethren, who have been numbered to die a martyr’s death before the Lord returns? In my book Man’s Final Destiny, you can read it in the books section of houseoffaithministries.org, I make the point that the souls under the altar are representative of the Jews who were slaughtered during World War II, since many of them were slain in gas chambers as a burnt offering, that is what the word Holocaust means, and that they died for the testimony which they held, they were just simply killed because they were Jews. It did not matter whether they were practitioners of Judaism or not, since so may innocent children were slain, over a million, who did not even know what religion or creed they belonged to. And I figured that the number of their fellow servants that were yet to be killed would be those Jews that would die later, before and during the invasion that sees Jerusalem surrounded by the armies of the nations of the world; and I’ve arrived at that conclusion because this is the only place in the book of Revelation where the martyrs are not referred to as dying for the testimony of Jesus, but rather for the testimony which they held, basically they were killed because they were Jews by race. But on a closer look of this passage of Scripture, it also seems to include the souls of those martyred for their Christian faith before the return of the Lord and it is symbolic, I believe, of the reunification of the blood of the fellow servants and of their brethren, upon which the original church was founded, since the foundation of the church included the shed blood of both the Jews and the Gentile believers; hence, there is a prophetic implication here of their final unification as one body, the body of the Lord, before He returns to execute His final judgments. Luke 21:17 “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.” The present-day persecution and the hatred perpetrated by the entire world against the Jewish people has been clearly documented and the evidence is irrefutable, just look at the United Nations record and see who it is that they continuously condemn and disapprove of unfairly. What is not clear to many today is, that right now, there is a systematic extermination of Christianity going on, and in many instances we are just talking about nominal Christianity, this persecution is not like the one that has gotten many Christians killed for their fervency and persistency in proclaiming the Gospel in hostile areas, no, this persecution going on right now in many parts of the world is for the simple purpose of eradicating Christianity itself by killing those, like they did the Jews before them, that are Christians even if in name or heritage only. And what might be the most appalling thing in all of this is, that our very own government, the US by its policies, is aiding and abetting the very evil that is taking place against the church of Jesus Christ. In Iraq for example, there was even under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, a large and healthy group of Christian communities. Ever since we liberated that country, those of the Islamic faith have used their freedom, which they did not have under the previous regime, to kill and intimidate Christian communities that have existed there since before Islam was even a religion, to the point that over half of the Christian population has fled the country and many have died, and before long there will be no traces of Christianity left in that nation. We see the same things taking place in Afghanistan, where our soldiers and those of the coalition are still fighting and dying to promote the freedom of those who want to eradicate Christianity forever. Egypt has one of the largest Christian populations of any of the Arab nations in the region, we just gave them some of our very best war planes plus billions of dollars; in thanks for our standing behind their rights to be free from a brutal dictatorship and supporting them with our weapons and treasure, they pay us back by torturing and killing Christians for the purpose of intimidating them to flee the cities and villages where their families have lived since the days of Jesus. The Palestinian areas where many of the Christian holy sites are, and where many Christians have lived for two thousand years, has been decimated buy kidnappings, torture and terrorism against those of the Christian faith so that right now the Christian population of many of those areas is nonexistent. All the while our hard-earned money and support is helping to feed and clothe those who commit these atrocities. Jeremiah 34:17 “Therefore thus says the Lord; ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother and everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you’, says the Lord—‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.’” Luke 6:38 “...For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” There has always been the persecution of those, who belong to God either by word or deed, beginning with the first martyr, Abel, whose righteous blood still cries out from the ground for God’s vengeance to be executed on its behalf. The question that we must ask is this: When is the number of both the fellow servants and their brethren who are to be killed completed? Genesis 18:23 “And Abraham came near and said, ‘Would you also destroy the righteous with the wicked?’” In the narrative over the pending destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah Abraham engages in a numbers game with God, in other words, Abraham wanted to know what the ratio of believers to unbelievers in those cities would have to be to bring about the final judgment of God. Genesis 19:4-5 “Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. And they called to Lot and said to him, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may know them carnally.’” There was one righteous man left in that city and his name was Lot, and because of Lot’s refusal to give into their depravity, they were ready to do away with him. Genesis 19:9 “And they said, ‘Stand back!’ Then they said, ‘This one (Lot) came in to stay here, and he keeps acting as a judge; now we will deal worse with you than with them.’ So they pressed hard against the man Lot, and came near to break down the door.” It is obvious from the context that there was no room left for Lot in that city, it was compliance and conformance to their way or else leave or be killed. Notice what their charge is against Lot, and the reason they intend to harm him, he keeps acting like a judge, in other words, who are you to tell us what is right and what is wrong. There are so many parallels here that is scary. First you have a worldwide religion in Islam that, in many instances, when they become the majority rule in the country or in the community as cited earlier, is either what their religion demands, which is total submission to them, that is what the name Islam means by the way, or the only other options are death or exile. The other parallel here that is so frightening is, that in the western nations where traditional Christianity provided what we could say was a model for government, for it offered its citizens freedom for and from religion, that also included freedom of speech and of choice, have now become ensnared in the trap of secular humanism, which demands of its adherents total and complete subjugation to their philosophy, and if you disagree with them because of whatever reason, then, you are classified as a bigot, homophobic, intolerant person that needs to be dealt with. Luke 17:28-30 “Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.” So that we have a flurry of nations that are forcibly removing from their ranks right now, any trace of Judaism and Christianity, and we have nations that have already done so; and in what is supposed to be the nations that were built on the Judeo-Christian values of Bible teaching, we have a total and complete rejection of the moral and ethical principles upon which they were founded. So, getting back to the numbers game, it is hard for me to see this trend changing anytime soon. There is no enforcement of the moral code of right and wrong anywhere in the world, nations just keep getting away with their evil deeds against those who have no say. I do not see a principled nation that is even able to speak on behalf of the innocent who are being slaughtered, even less one that is able to do something about it. Here in the United States the tales of the horrors that take place in the abortion mills has come to light in the trial of a doctor accused of murdering infants that were aborted but still alive, how their spinal cords were snipped with a scissor or flushed down the toilet while still alive. In another tape you can hear a doctor tell the pregnant mother that her almost full term baby will be killed inside of her before is aborted, she asks him, does that mean that I would have a dead baby inside of me? To which the Doctor responds, think of it as meat in the crock pot. Remember what they said to Lot? Who made you judge? Well, I definitely do not want to be part of this wicked and corrupt generation, I do not want to be a partaker of their judgment, so while I am here, I will not cease to expose their works of darkness to the light of God’s Word. So that when the Son of Man is revealed, I, like Lot, will be ushered out of this Sodom in a great hurry by God’s angels, before God’s destruction rains down from heaven upon this wicked and perverse generation. Revelation 6:14-17 “Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” God has not appointed us to wrath, thank You Lord! But Jesus did say that in this world we would have tribulation; my definition of tribulation is that of what men do to those they persecute for believing what the Word of God says, like what I have been teaching here in this lesson. My definition of wrath is what God does to those who persecute His children that believe what the Word of God says. And it is not pretty what God will do to them. So here are the choices: believe the Word of God and suffer persecution, for many of us here in the west is just verbal and situational persecution right now, and who knows maybe not for long, but for many Christians today who live under the rule of mad man, their persecution is very real, and their trials are excruciating, but their future is very secure, for wherever they go they are God’s holy property. And if you choose to conform with the world for the sake of not being out of step with societal evolution, you will end up wishing that you were under a pile of rocks with a bunch of losers, not that that is going to help you in anyway, for after all, hell is hell forever, whether you believe in it or not. THE FOUR WAVES The objective of The Four Waves is to provide spiritual understanding of the prophetic imagery in Luke 21:25, connecting the signs in the heavens and the roaring waves on earth to both spiritual and physical shakings that precede Christ’s return. Pastor Marcos aims to reveal how God uses waves—spiritual forces moving in tandem—to prepare the church, expose false doctrines, and usher in revival, while encouraging believers to discern the times and remain steadfast in faith. THE FOUR WAVES Pastor Marcos Marrero July 6, 2021 Objective: The objective of The Four Waves is to provide spiritual understanding of the prophetic imagery in Luke 21:25, connecting the signs in the heavens and the roaring waves on earth to both spiritual and physical shakings that precede Christ’s return. Pastor Marcos aims to reveal how God uses waves—spiritual forces moving in tandem—to prepare the church, expose false doctrines, and usher in revival, while encouraging believers to discern the times and remain steadfast in faith. Synopsis: In The Four Waves, Pastor Marcos examines Luke 21:25 and related prophetic passages to show that the shakings in the sun, moon, stars, and earth symbolize both cosmic disturbances and powerful spiritual movements. He interprets these as waves—forces of God’s Spirit—that bring both judgment and revival. He shares his personal experiences of four recurring dreams of massive waves, each faced in a different cardinal direction, culminating in the fourth dream where a crystal-clear wave brings renewal, cleansing, and living waters. These dreams, he explains, parallel revivals witnessed in Toronto, Pensacola, and South America, with a final outpouring yet to come from the West. Pastor Marcos connects his revelations to a 1968 prophecy from Norway that also described four waves, each representing global shifts: a time of peace between superpowers, a wave of lukewarm Christianity, widespread immorality and violence, and finally, a climactic period tied to Christ’s return and global war. Scriptural parallels are drawn from Revelation, Joel, and Ezekiel to show that the fourth wave will shake both heaven and earth, bringing both great fear and a final opportunity for salvation. The waves, though fearsome, ultimately point to God’s sovereign plan of judgment and redemption. Pastor Marcos concludes that believers who embrace God’s Word and Spirit today need not fear the final wave, for it will bring life, purification, and the fulfillment of God’s promises. Those who scoff, however, risk being overtaken by judgment when the Lamb returns in His glory. Inspired Teaching: Luke 21:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring.” If we look at the above verse from an entirely spiritual perspective, we see four places that are mentioned, the sun, the moon, the stars, and the earth, that will be hit by a great shaking, and this shaking will come in the form of waves. We obviously live here on the earth, but during those days there will be things that are happening in the entire cosmos that will clearly have an effect upon us here on the earth. Luke 21:26 “Men’s hearts failing them from the fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” When our text declares that the powers of the heavens will be shaken, it is clearly referring to both, a physical and a spiritual shaking that will be taking place during those days. Hebrews 12:26 “Whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I shake not only earth, but also heaven.’” The number four is significant here because it includes the entire creation, both physical and spiritual. The spiritual emphasis that I want to deal with in this lesson is revealed to us in the form of waves, like in the waves roaring, that is waves making loud sounds that are audible. If you read some of my works, you know that I believe that there are always four spiritual forces that work together in tandem to bring about the conditions that God requires in order to bring about His desired results in any given physical situation. Like the four horseman of the apocalypse, the four trumpets, the four seals, the four winds and so on. These waves are sometimes revealed to the saints in visions or dreams; now there are common threads that link the different revelations to one another, and there are some very unique and individual aspects of the revelation that apply only to the individuals receiving them. Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” In the Old Testament, only certain people were filled with the Holy Spirit. All of the prophets of old were filled with God’s Holy Spirit, since God is Spirit and all His works always begin in the spiritual realm. Those who are filled with His Spirit are in a position to receive the revelation of what God is doing in the spiritual realm that affects us here on the earth. In the New Testament, all the believers are filled with His Holy Spirit, for no one can be born again without being born of the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized (plunged) into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.” So that to His church, the body of Christ, revelation is continually flowing corporally from His Spirit that bears witness of what God is presently doing in the spiritual realm. That is why when the Holy Spirit is doing a personal work in us, it seems almost like there is a conspiracy of some sort, for we see the Spirit moving through many different venues to assure us that it is He, and Him alone, not man, who is dealing with us. And when He is revealing things to His church as a whole, many different individuals, oceans apart, will have the basics of the same revelation of what God is doing or is about to do. For that is what Amos says, God will reveal His secrets to His servants, for a testimony to the whole body of believers. My personal experience with dreams of big waves started early in 1990. Prior to my first dream, I do not recall ever hearing about dreams of big waves from any body. In all four of my dreams that covered a span of several years, there were always two things common on every dream, I knew what cardinal direction I was facing, and I was completely overwhelmed by the size of the waves that were always coming my way. In my first dream, I was facing north while standing on a sidewalk in front of a small country church. I was watching as people were coming out of the church when suddenly a huge massive wave arose from behind the little church. The wave was comprised of water and mud and was coming towards the church from behind. It was moving so fast that I did not even have time to tell the people to turn around and look, I just instinctively crouched behind a small retaining wall in the perimeter of the front lawn. I was so scared that my heart almost stopped, and I remember thinking that I was going to die by breathing in muddy water. I awoke right before the wave hit me, and realized that my body was shaking and I was breathing heavily. In the next two or three years I had two more dreams that were just a different version of that first one. On the second dream I was facing east, there was a chain link fence in front of me, when a huge wave rose up, not as muddy as in my first dream. As I crouched down and grabbed the chain link fence, I remember thinking that the impact would probably rip my fingers off, thankfully I awoke again right before it hit me. In the third dream I was facing south when a huge wave rose again as before. The dream of the fourth wave came a couple of years later. I was facing west in the South Bay area of Los Angeles CA, looking at the San Pedro/Palos Verdes hill, when out of the Pacific ocean a huge, massive wave bigger than any of the others that I had dreamed before rose up. It was made of pure crystal clear water, and just as beautiful as it was awesome. In this dream I did not fear, I did not crouch, and I didn’t wake up before the wave hit me, for even though I was very scared, I welcomed that which was coming my way. The wave went over me and through me with great energy, but I was still standing, and as I looked around, all the houses and buildings were gone, and in their place, pools of living waters were drawing in the weak and the feeble to drink freely of it. In March of 1997, I had the privilege to travel to the Brownsville revival that was taking place in Pensacola Florida. For three marvelous days I witnessed the power of God moving upon thousands of people that were gathered there for that wonderful experience. We attended the Sunday morning service before we left that day and there was a guest speaker teaching that morning. He spoke about four spiritual waves that would hit from four different directions before the Lord returns for us. Can you just picture my jaw dropping as he started his message? He spoke about a revival that was taking place in Toronto, Canada, as the wave from the north, the revival in Pensacola as being the wave from the east, the revivals that were going on in South America, as the wave from the south, and get this, he spoke about a final outpouring of the Holy Spirit that was yet to come from the west. That was over sixteen years ago, and I knew that it was from the Lord, but as you know, we walk by faith and not by sight. The spiritual decline of the last few years, not only in the churches but in the nations as well, makes it hard for me to see how and where from that final revival that I am so certain, even today, that is coming. But you know how the Lord works, just when we seem to have forgotten something that at one time seemed very important, the Lord is always there to remind us that His timing is not our timing, and that just because it has not happened yet, that it should be no reason for us to not keep looking up in excitement for what He has promised. I read a prophecy that was given by a 90 year old woman in Norway, back in 1968, to an evangelist named Emanuel Minos when he came to her town to preach. The evangelist wrote down the prophecy as she told it to him, but he thought that it was so extreme that he kept it in a drawer and forgot about it. This is how her prophecy started: I saw the time just before the coming of Jesus and the outbreak of the Third World War. Then, she mentioned four waves: This is part of what she saw in the first wave: There will be peace between the super powers in the east and the west, and there will be a long peace. Remember that she spoke this in 1968 while the cold war was raging, and it raged on until 1989. There have been 24 years of peace between the super powers of the east and west. This is part of what she saw in the second wave: A lukewarmness without parallel will take hold of the Christians, a falling away from true, living Christianity. Christians will not be open for penetrating preaching. They will not, like in earlier times, want to hear of sin and grace, law and gospel, repentance and restoration. There will come a substitute instead: prosperity (happiness) Christianity. Here is part of what she saw in the third wave: People will live together like married without being married...TV will be filled with such horrible violence that it teaches people to murder and destroy each other, and it will be unsafe in our streets. People will copy what they see. This is some of what she saw for the fourth wave: I will not see it, but you will. Then suddenly, Jesus will come and the Third World War breaks out. It will be a short war... All that I have seen of war before is only child’s play compared to this one. I wrote some of what she saw in her vision and some of what I saw in my dreams, to show those of you that might have experienced something like what she or I’ve experienced, that even though our perspectives differ greatly, there is a common thread that unites the flow of the revelations. In her case she saw peace in the first wave, when the first seal was opened after Jesus rose from the dead. The spirit of antichrist was released which is still very much at work today to bring forth a false peace. In my first wave I saw extremely polluted waters/doctrine sneaking behind the church. That explains why in her second wave she saw unparallel lukewarmness and a falling away from true living Christianity, for they are the results of demonic doctrines introduced to the church. But the key point that I want to emphasize is in the fourth wave, for that is when the powers of the heavens are shaken, and the Lord is revealed, and from her perspective she saw the start of World War Three. Now let me show you two different perspectives from Scripture about that same event. Revelation 6:12-17 “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake (in the earth); and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon (remember our opening text) became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free men, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” From this perspective we see that the land of Israel has been invaded by an army of a confederacy that's lead by Gog, of the land of Magog, from the uttermost north, according to Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. Most of the people that you see running for the bomb shelters in Revelation chapter six are about to be wiped out by the wrath of the Lamb as He returns to show Himself holy before the nations of the world, and to save the people and the nation of Israel from sure destruction. Acts 2:19-21 “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” From Joel’s perspective, whom Peter quotes in Acts, we see that those who witness the supernatural destruction of this mighty army that has invaded Israel, will realize that the Lamb is real and that His judgments are true, and they will have an opportunity to repent before the great day of His wrath begins. One way to see the fourth wave is as that of the beginning of a war that will end the world as we know it. Another way is to see it as an opportunity for as many people as possible to call upon the name of the Lord and be delivered out of this world before the wrath of God is unleashed upon it, and its destruction made certain. I know that in my dream I did not fear the immensity of the fourth wave, for it brought with it crystal clear living waters for the purification of the soul, and it was made available to all those who were feeble and weak in body. Those who fear and partake of the Word of the Lord now, will not be afraid in the day when His fullness is revealed to them. If only the scoffers would repent before that day catches up to them. Revelation 22:1 “And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” Previous Next Home

  • THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the power of the healing anointing, how it flows from God through the Holy Spirit, and why walking in the truth of God’s Word is essential for experiencing that power. It aims to equip Christians not only to recognize that they are already anointed through salvation, but also to walk in the fullness of God’s power that brings healing, deliverance, and transformation. THE ANOINTING THAT HEALS Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand the power of the healing anointing, how it flows from God through the Holy Spirit, and why walking in the truth of God’s Word is essential for experiencing that power. It aims to equip Christians not only to recognize that they are already anointed through salvation, but also to walk in the fullness of God’s power that brings healing, deliverance, and transformation. Synopsis: In The Anointing That Heals, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores the scriptural foundation of God’s healing power as revealed through the anointing of Jesus Christ (Acts 10:38). He explains that while all believers are anointed with the Holy Spirit at salvation, not all walk in the power of that anointing because of a lack of enlightenment in the truth of God’s Word. The Spirit of Truth only bears witness to God’s Word and glorifies Christ, which means that to walk in the power of the anointing, believers must remain faithful and aligned with Scripture. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that without the Spirit of God we are helpless, without Jesus we are powerless, and without the Word of God we are directionless. He challenges believers to examine their relationship with God’s Word, since handling it deceitfully or with unbelief hinders the flow of the Spirit’s power. Liberty, transformation, and healing are promised where the Spirit of the Lord is present (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). The teaching also highlights that the healing anointing often follows a process of inner transformation. Even in moments of weakness, failure, or delay, God’s love and grace remain constant, and His power is revealed in faithfulness. Through personal testimony, Pastor Marcos shares how God’s anointing has shown up even in his failures, proving that the miracle is always the work of the Anointer, not the vessel. Ultimately, the lesson stresses that the believer’s role is to show up, pray, anoint, and declare God’s Word—leaving the results to Him. The bottom line of the healing anointing is rooted in God’s unchanging love and compassion. As Jesus declared, “all things are possible to him who believes” (Mark 9:23), reminding us that the anointing that heals flows from God’s truth, His Spirit, and His everlasting love for His people. Inspired Teaching: Acts 10:38 “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” When I started teaching about the anointing oil, it immediately became clear to me that more lessons would be required just to touch on the basic principles of God's anointing. In this lesson we will deal with the power of the healing anointing, or a different way to look at it, the anointing that heals! Now the very first thing that I want you to notice in our opening Scripture is how Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power. This is very important, notice how it describes Jesus as having both, the anointing and the power that comes through the anointing. Now why is that important? Every believer that is saved in Jesus Christ has been anointed with the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit we were all baptized (plunged) into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink (partake) into one Spirit (anointing).” So that all believers are anointed with the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.” But not all believers walk in the power of the anointing, now why is that? There are several issues here that we can point at, but at the foundation of everyone of these failures we will find that it is because they are all lacking in the enlightenment of what the truth of the Word of God is. John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” The Spirit of Truth will not bear witness to falsehoods, nor to things that do not glorify the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just like Jesus did not come to do His own thing, but only to speak that which He heard from the Father above. Since the anointing comes from God then all things must revert to God and to His Word, for that is from Whom the anointing flows. John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.” So that we can see an extremely clear pattern of how the workings of the anointing flows. The Holy Spirit does not bear witness to Himself but of Jesus and the work that He accomplished. Jesus does not bear witness of Himself or the work that He accomplished, but He bears witness to the God from Whom all blessings flow. So that all who are anointed by the Spirit of God, if they want the power of the Spirit of God flowing through them, must remain faithful and true to the Word of Truth that governs the outpouring of the power of the Spirit of God in our midst. And that is without the Spirit of God we are helpless, and without the name of Jesus we are powerless, and without the guidance of the Word of God we are clueless and hopelessly lost. So let us begin with this point then, what is your relationship with the Word of God? Is the Word of God your only Truth? 2 Corinthians 4:2 “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.” Paul was dealing with how the minds of the Jews of his day were blinded every time they read the Word of God, so that the Truth of the Word that they were reading could not penetrate their hearts. And that is what happens to many today that are anointed because of their salvation in Jesus Christ, but lack the power of the Spirit of God in their lives because they are handling the Word of God deceitfully. How do I know if I am lacking the power of the Spirit of God in my life? 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” What are the things that hinder us? What are the things that bind us? What are the things that we are lacking? If we honestly ask ourselves these questions and come up with things in our lives that truly hinder us, and find that there are issues in our lives that bind us to things that we do not want to be bound to, and realize that as Christians there are things promised to us that we are lacking, what do we do about it? 2 Corinthians 4:1 “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have receive mercy, we do not lose heart.” The most important thing for us, is to realize that God is not against us; sin in the New Testament is defined as missing the mark, God does not want us to miss the mark. He wants us to receive all the blessings that He has already made available to us. Romans 8:32 “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Remember that the key to the anointing power is truth, the above verse is powerfully liberating truth. I have been walking by faith in the Word of God for a while now, it will be thirty seven years this coming June, do you want to know what truth really is? Here is truth, Jesus loves us. He will never leave us nor forsake us, no matter what! Even when we are lacking the power of His anointing in our lives, He is right here. He will not go away, and He will never stop trying to get us into the true knowledge of His Word, so that we can receive the power of His anointing in our lives. He wants us to succeed. He does not want to see us lacking. He does not want to see us sick. He definitely does not want to see us powerless. In my many years walking with Him I have experienced a lot more failures than victories in the natural side of the ledger, but yet somehow out of the very failures of my many weaknesses He somehow always gained the victory in my life, and all because I did not quit in the face of failure. As a matter of fact, it has been in the midst of my greatest defeats that I have always experienced His greatest anointing. 2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” One of the greatest revelations that I’ve ever received from the Lord was while I was worshipping Him in a church service. The song that we were singing was, Here I am to worship; all of a sudden the Lord revealed to me in the middle of that song, the many schemes that the enemy had employed through the years to try to destroy my faith in Jesus. Things that I knew and many that I did not know. He just simply said to me, in spite of all that the enemy has done to try to destroy you, My grace is sufficient for you, and that was all the truth that I’ve ever needed. But we also need to understand that the power of the anointing follows a process of gradual transformation, and it requires steadfastness in our part. You see the true healing anointing begins in the inside of us. So that even when we do not see any immediate results we need to remain faithful to the truth of God’s promises, for He always comes through for us, although it may be years before we realize it, if ever while in this earth, for some, if not many of God’s greatest miracles on our behalf may never be known by us until we get to heaven. I have seen God heal a dying man from cancer even after my failure to pray for him, for I was intimidated by the hopelessness of the situation, but just the fact that I showed up to pray for the man was good enough for Jesus to heal him in spite of my failure to pray for him, although the man that got healed told everybody that I had prayed for him and that was how he was healed, yet I knew better than that, for I know for certain that I never prayed for the man. But I learned a great lesson that day, for the Lord spoke to me and said that my job was just to show up and pray, and that the rest was up to Him. So that it is our job to show up and not be intimidated by how hopeless the situation may seem. We are to pray, to anoint with oil, to proclaim the Word of God to those who are infirmed or bound by the enemy. But the miracle is always left up to the Anointer, the Spirit of Truth. I’ll close with this, a Scripture that I once heard an unbeliever proclaim on TV that it was so puzzling to him that he did not understand it and could not explain it. Mark 9:23-24 “Jesus said to him, ‘if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’ Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” The deaf and dumb spirit that troubled the child was rebuked by our Lord and commanded never to enter into the child again. What was the criteria for this miracle? A father needed help to get his son healed. The Lord helped him on the basis of His compassion and love. There are all kinds of things that we need to do, and there are all kinds of things that we need to learn, and there are so many Scriptures that we need to understand better, but at the root of all these things we need to know that He is a God that loves us, that He is compassionate towards us, and that He is more willing to help us in our time of need that we are to ask for His help. He will work with us to train us, He will teach us how to respect His anointing, and He will lead us into the valley of trust and leave us out there for a while if need be so that we may learn how to trust Him more. But the bottom line is this: HE LOVES US NO MATTER WHAT! AND THAT IS THE TRUTH. Previous Next Home

MY REDEEMER IS ALIVE Equip believers to anchor their hope in the living Redeemer, Jesus Christ—drawing from Job 19:25–27—to persevere through suffering, reject guilt/shame/condemnation, and embrace Christ’s kinsman-redeemer work that restores, protects, and reconnects us to God. < Back MY REDEEMER IS ALIVE Pastor Marcos Marrero October 21, 2001 Objective: Equip believers to anchor their hope in the living Redeemer, Jesus Christ—drawing from Job 19:25–27—to persevere through suffering, reject guilt/shame/condemnation, and embrace Christ’s kinsman-redeemer work that restores, protects, and reconnects us to God. Synopsis: Opening with Job 19:25–27, the message proclaims, “I know that my Redeemer lives,” highlighting Job’s startling, pre-Mosaic confession of a bodily Redeemer and a future bodily resurrection. Job’s losses, bodily affliction, and friends’ accusations become a backdrop for unshakable faith: hope endures because the Redeemer is alive. The sermon unfolds the biblical theme of the kinsman redeemer: the right to buy back what was lost, seen in Israel’s jubilee laws and embodied in Christ. Jesus, truly our kin through the Incarnation, pays the ransom with His blood (Rev 5:9), restores our inheritance, and connects heaven’s life to us. Like Abraham rescuing Lot (Gen 14), redeemed people become conduits through whom God seeks the rescue of their families. From Ruth and Boaz, the message models covenantal trust and covering. Ruth’s “Your God will be my God” demonstrates the severing of worldly dependencies to take refuge under God’s wings, where favor is found and protection assured. Practical application confronts the enemy’s trio—guilt, shame, condemnation—all borne by Christ at the cross. Believers are urged to keep a clear connection to the Redeemer, endure refining sufferings (Rom 8:16–17), and let God heal deep soul-wounds that hinder faith. Psalm 91 reassures that those who dwell in God’s shelter rest under His wings, even amid storms. The message closes with a call to repentance and a deliverance prayer, inviting hearers to lay down guilt, shame, bitterness, and unbelief, and to walk in the liberty and confidence of heirs whose Redeemer lives. Inspired Teaching: Redeemer is alive. Hallelujah. Praise God. If you want to turn to our opening scripture in the book of Job, chapter 19, verse 25 through 27. And um Job was a man who had it all. And then one day the bottom fell off. One day uh Satan went after him and everything that he possessed, his wife, his children, all of his uh wealth, he had tremendous amount of wealth and it was all gone in less than a day. Then uh Job resigned himself to the fact that he was now a man in great pain and great sorrow. He resigned himself to the fact that he had lost all 10 of his children that he had lost his house that he had lost everything that he possessed. And he says uh the Lord gave the Lord took away blessed be the Lord. And the Bible says that he did not sin even in the midst of his grief. So Satan went a second time and he said the human nature is selfish. Skin for skin. That's what he said. Satan touch his skin and you'll see him fall apart. And then all of a sudden, Job came down with a bunch of boils from the top of his head all the way down to the source of his feet. This infirmity came upon him and he was on torment and itching continuously. And still Job held to his integrity even after his wife said, "Why don't you just refuse God or renounce God and just drop dead? And he said to his wife, "Sh shall we accept only good from God and not bad?" And still he did not sin. Then on the third wave of testing, three of his best friends came to him and Satan began to use these friends to attack everything that Job stood for. And in the midst of that attack in Job 19 verse 25 through 27 Job makes this statement. He says I know that my redeemer lives. Hallelujah. And then he makes now you have to understand that the book of Job is the oldest book of the Bible. The book of Job was written before Moses wrote Genesis and because you know all of this information was passed down to Moses. But Job lived before Moses and probably before Abraham or around that time and and and this is an old book but I want you to see that Job who did not have one single shred of scripture to go by. You know, we have the Old Testament, we have the New Testament, we have computer, we have concordances. You know, whenever we face a little problem, just go search and see what the word of God says. You know, Job did not have none of that. And look at this statement that this man makes. He says, "I know that my redeemer is alive." That's that's what he's saying. And then he goes on to say about his redeemer. He says, "And at the end he will stand upon the earth." Now, the reason why this is so far out is because he's equating God to having a human body who's able to come and to stand upon the earth. This is before the promises about Jesus were written down. This man already had that hope in his heart. Amen. Which is so awesome. He says, "And after my skin has been destroyed," he knew he would have to die someday. He says, "Yet in my flesh, I will see God." See, this man didn't believe on a god of a lullabi on the the way way way then under some sweet by and by my spirit somehow is going to be a cloud that is going to float and it's going to go by this other big cloud where God is. No, this man had a firm reality as to who his redeemer was. He says he is going to stand on the earth and even after my skin has been destroyed yet in my flesh I will see God. Hallelujah. This man believe in the resurrection. Hallelujah. No wonder when all 10 of his kids were killed in an instant, he had no problem with it. I mean it hurt. It definitely hurt. But his faith could not be shaken due to the fact that he said my redeemer is alive. See, as long as our redeemer is alive, there is hope. Hallelujah. As long as our redeemer has a body like ours and he understand how is it feels to be hurting. He says, "I got hope." Hallelujah. And then he says, "After this body of mine will be destroyed, yet I'm going to have a new body that will be able to see God." And then he says, "This is not going to be some uh some uh what do what do they call it? Reincarnated body." You know, he says, "I myself will see him with my very own eyes." And then he said, "I am not another." Amen. You see, we have that hope if our redeemer is alive. We know that we are going to see God. You see, I have a hope in the promises of God that everything that is dear to me, I will one day, hallelujah, see it restored because of his promises. I just got my new plates in the card and I love them. It's my favorite scripture in the Bible. Hebrews 10:23. I write that on every check that I write for my tithe. And I told my wife many, many years ago when the Lord gave me that, I said, "That's what I want on my on my headstone if if I die before before the Lord comes." And that says at the end of Hebrews 10:23, he says, uh, he that promise is faithful. You see, if God tells me something that he's going to do for me, hallelujah, I can take that into my pocket. I can put it in the bank. is guaranteed. Amen. And this is the basics of the reality that Job lived with. He says, I know that my redeemer is alive. Hallelujah. And I know that I'm going to see him and not another. And then he ends in verse 27. He says, and how my heart yearns within me. He had a desire. Notice his heart wasn't yearning for that big ranch that he had. Oh man, you got to see this. His heart was not yearning for that big ranch that he had, for the thousand camels and for the 10,000 donkeys or all of these other things that he had. His heart wasn't yearning for the 10 children, the seven sons and the three daughters that were killed. This man had a yearning, hallelujah, for his redeemer. He says he's alive. He's going to come to the earth. I'm going to stand before him. I'm going to see him with my own body. Oh, and I can hardly wait. Hallelujah. That's what he was saying. I can hardly wait. Hurry up, Lord. This is a man in the very very first book that was written before anything else was written and he had that hope within him. You see, we need to have a redeemer that is alive. We need to have that hope deep within us because when our redeemer is alive, everything else does pales in comparison to him. Hallelujah. See, he's able to to to supply everything. And when you read at the end of the book, God does it. God doubles everything. If he had a thousand camel, then he went up with 2,000. If he had everything that he had, God double it. And his children given 10 more. He didn't double that because his first 10 children were never lost. Hallelujah. You see, death is something that affects us, but it doesn't affect God. God says to me, "All live." You can be on this side of the door or the other, on this side. God can see either side. Hallelujah. And when your redeemer is alive, it doesn't matter what side of the gate you are. Doesn't matter where you're below. Jonah was in the belly of the whale. But he had a redeemer that was alive. Hallelujah. And he prayed to him. And the whale wound up being a a shuttle bus that took him to his destination. Hallelujah. Uh talk about rapid transportation. That's neat, huh? God is awesome. I look up the word redeemer and it means next of kin and it's one who has the right to buy back that which has been lost or stolen. It means to purchase to pay the price or the ransom. It means to deliver which is to give back to the rightful owner. It also means avenger and it also means revenger. See what God did when he brought Israel into the promised land. He said that the land was an an inheritance for them forever. So if you were one of those Israelites that crossed the Jordan and went into the promised land when you were given this chunk of land that belonged to you and to your family forever. it could never ever ever be taken away from you. So God introduced what it was called the uh the kinsman redeemer law and he introduced what it was called the jubilee. In other words, if you lost your you know your farm or whatever it was every 50 years it had to be restored to you. Let's say that in 1900 and in 1950 and in the year 2000. Let's say that your parents lived in 1912 or 1913 and that they had a nice ranch but they went into debt and they lost everything. And so you were destitute and poor but when 1950 came up according to the law it had to be given back to you everything. You see and if you bought something from somebody if you bought a field you would buy it based on the price. If you bought it in 1999, you would only pay very little because it would only be yours for a year. As soon as the year 2000 came or the year of Jubilee, it would revert back to you. If you bought it in 1951, then you would have 49 years of use. So, you paid a much higher price. But you need to to see that that belonged to them forever. But there had to be somebody to buy it back. This is why when Jesus stood up on the Sabbath morning when he opened the scroll of Isaiah, he says h the the the spirit of the Lord is upon is upon me because he has anointed me. And then he said the things that he was anointed to do. And then at the end he said to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord or the year of Jubilee or the year of God's favor saying I came in to close the books and to give back that which is rightfully yours. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. See we need to understand that when God created Adam and Eve, he gave them dominion. That means they were the highest. They were at the top of the ladder. Everything was under their feet. Yes. Including Satan and including everything else and then the enemy has come in and has displaced us. So we needed a kinsman redeemer. Now when he says my redeemer is alive or my redeemer lives, the word that I looked it up there, he talks about raw flesh. He says, "My redeemer is is is real flesh. It's is like raw flesh. My redeemer." See, in order for the redeemer to be able to redeem us, he had to be a kinsman. He had to be one of us. You remember when uh uh what's his name was here? Uh the guy uh what's his name? Jesse Duplantis. When Jesse Duplants was here, he says there is but one race, the human race. That is a very powerful statement because in reality all of us come from Adam and Eve. Every single one of us come from Adam and Eve. That's who we're kin to. That's the one that lost the the the the the dominion. So Jesus had to be one like Adam, one like us. This is why in in Corinthians it says that the first Adam was after the flesh. He was human like us. But the last Adam was a lifegiving spirit. What was he doing? A redemptive spirit. He was redeeming. He was putting the life back into the human race. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So when our redeemer is alive, hallelujah, we're made complete. Now, there's an obligation in in Genesis 14. And if you look at verse 12, you can see how far back this law of the redeemer goes. As you know, uh Abraham had taken Lot who was his nephew with him. And one day there they were so blessed their herds were just not big enough for the field. And Abraham took Lot to a hill and it says here's to the right and here's to the left you choose. You go one way and I'll go the other one. And of course, Sodom and Gomorrah at that time were the most beautiful plains that they weren't and the most fruitful. So Lot, not being too dumb, he chose, I mean, he was if you really think of it, but he chose to go that way. So Abraham went the other way. And then it tells us that there were five kings that attacked the place where where Lot was. And in uh Genesis 14:12, he says that they also carried off Abraham's nephew Lot and his possessions since he was living in Sodom. And if you go down to verse 16, it says that he recover Abraham recovered all the goods and brought back his relative L and his possessions together with the woman and the other people. When the news came to Abraham, the kings invaded the area where your nephew Lot lives, and they have taken him captive captive and took all of his possession. Abraham, who wasn't a man of war, but who knew his he his he his uh you know he his responsibility as a deliverer as a kingsman deliverer and he took some men of war 368 and he went and he defeated these five kings and he redeemed or he rescued his nephew. Now a a lot of us Christians need to get done in here. You know for me I was the very first person saved in my family and my wife was the ve very first person saved on her family. You know why God saves you? So that you could become that's right a redeemer for your family. Did you know that? Yes, God didn't save you because you were prettier or smarter or or anything else. And matter of fact, we're probably those of us that get saved first in the family line. Probably the dumbest one. We're willing to to believe what God said rather than what the devil says, you know. But when when you accept the Lord Jesus Christ, it is your responsibility as a born again believer to enter into a covenant with God. And that's going to be our last lesson in in in in the membership class. uh uh that's going to be that's going to be taught. Enter into a covenant with God. When you enter into a covenant relationship with God, God is obligated and Jim Miley was speaking about that God is obligated to go and to rescue and to redeem everything that belongs to you. Not a single one of us should ever give up in either mother or father or brother or sisters or sons or daughter or even distant relatives. It is our responsibility to become a type of a kisman redeemer and enter into a relationship with God where our redeemer is so alive that our redeemer knows every single need that we have and we need to be committed to that. And you know God is not a respector of person. If he gave Abraham everything, he'll give it to you. It says so in Romans 8. It pleases God to give you the kingdom. Do you know what the kingdom is? The kingdom is not the horses and not the camels and not the houses. Who Abraham I mean who Job had a burden for was his children. Yes. And when God restored everything, God did not have to restore his children or do it out. Why? Because he had taken care of the man. He may not know it, but God had them covered. And we need to become that covering for our family. In Revelation chapter 5 verse 9 is a beautiful uh uh uh picture. This happened I believe uh almost 2,000 years ago. It it relates to Psalm 22:23 and 24. And what happens is John 1:1 tells us that in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The word of God has always been eternal, but the word of God always has been a spirit. Okay? One of the psalms and in Hebrews quoting that psalm says that the word of God says to the Lord, you have prepared a body for me. That body that God prepared for the word of God was Jesus in the womb of Mary when the Holy Spirit overshadowed her. So when the word of God left heaven to fulfill the promise of God enter into that boy that was born to Mary Jesus and then that very word became flesh as uh John 1:14 says and he was crucified for our sins. See he had to become like one of us in order to redeem us. He couldn't redeem us. The Holy Spirit could not redeem us. God could not redeem us. You have to be a kinsman redeemer. You have to have somebody that is related to you. So he had to be born of a woman so he would be like us in the way that Adam was created. But he never lost or changed his nature. He was still God. Hallelujah. The word of God. So when the word of God returns back to heaven, he has a different form now. It is not a spirit. He is in a body. So you see, and as he comes up to the to the throne of heaven, where all of this time since the fall of Adam, the deed to the earth, the dominion to the earth has been sitting at the right hand of God, waiting for a man who was worthy enough to reclaim the deed to the earth. And in Revelation 5 verse 9, he tell us that as Jesus gets back up there, the word of God comes into his physical body that Jesus is, he says that he walked up to the hallelujah to the altar of of God Almighty. He got a hold of the scroll that was these earth. And as he did, they sang a new song. That's what he says. And what they were singing was, you are worthy to take the scroll and you are worthy to open his seals because you were slain and with your blood you purchased men for go for God from every tribe, language, people and nation. You see, we have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb. God, the word of God became flesh. God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son. And when Jesus Christ cried out in that cross, it is finished. As he rose up from the dead and is seated now at the right hand of the father forever making intercession, he is our living our alive redeemer. He is our alive redeemer. He is our connection. Yes. You know, you have like like you have an extension cord and you can have a bunch of plugs on that side, but there's just one plug on this side. Okay? You are if you're saved, you're that plug. And God wants life to flow through you to give life to everybody else that's connected to you in your life. Hallelujah. But you see, you had to be connected to that redeemer. You have to have that flowing of the blood of Jesus Christ through you. That's the true life. And that comes by faith. That comes by a belief. See what happens when we listen to the lies of the devil, our plugged in gets rusted. And even though you may be plugged in, there's nothing flowing through. Just like a battery cable that's kind of loose. Every time you try to turn the the lights come on and the car and you say, "Oh, the battery is good." But every time you try to turn try to turn the starter, it goes dead because there's not a good hole. There's not a good connection. And this is what Job had in the midst of the worst of the worst of the worst. He could say, "I know my redeemer is I got power that is flowing to me." Hallelujah. I don't care what it looks like over here. I'm plugged in. Hallelujah. See, you you can stick your hand in a socket that is all broken. There's no light going. But if there is power going from there, you get shocked. Some of your family members may not have no light shining. May not have none other stuff. But when you're plugged to God, every time Satan tries to mess with him, he gets burned. Hallelujah. Why? Because we have a redeemer that's sitting at the right hand of God who is pregnant to us. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. In Romans chapter 8 verse 16 and 17 speaks about that connection. Hallelujah. He says, "For the spirit," that's the Holy Spirit of God, "the spirit himself testifies with our spirits that we are God's children." Amen. We need to settle that, my friend. That's the greatest enemy of Christianity today. Whose children are we? Some of us walk like if we were um you know, bastards uh for the lack of a better word that I can think like we didn't really have a father or a mother. We Satan somehow makes us feel like you know like we don't have no rights because of our past because of the things we done or maybe because of the circumstance we're now you know well I'm all dried up you know even grapes that come prun sometimes are raisins You know, they're still good. Even if you're dried up, you're good to God. Hallelujah. I like raisins. They're good. They may be dried up great, but they're still good. Hallelujah. He says, "No." And this is the reasoning. He says that we that not us. I'm not say, "Oh, I'm the child of God." No, the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, the spirit of the Holy One says that I am a children of the living God. Amen. And then he says, "If I am a children of the living God, now if we are childrens, then we are hes. We're hes of God and coairs with Christ." And here's the key that we miss. Indeed, if we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. Now, this is the part that most Christians have a hard time dealing with, the suffering part, especially here in America. You know, America, America is the land of the non-suffering. You know, we don't like to suffer here in America. You know, I love McDonald's. I tell you, I must be American truly true in in my blood. I like things fast. You know, I don't like to wait for things. You know, that's what I love about McDonald's. you go about there and by the time you you pay them and you come to the window, they already got your stuff there. You know, that's you know, I hate it when I'm, you know, I'm old enough to where I remember when the banks used to have different lines. You know, all of the banks now have just like one single line, but back then they had like four or five tellers and I always get in the shortest line and then that'll be the longest. all of the other ones go. Then I moved and as soon as I moved the other one go down and I just suffer, you know, but that's not the suffering that God is talking about. Thank God for ATMs. I never ever had to go into a bank anymore. I love ATMs. Just go there. And you know, even then, my wife was with me last time I went to deposit a check and I'm, you know, having to write because I carry a bunch of envelopes with me so I don't even have to mess. I want to get to the machine and get it done. There's three machines and they're all empty over there in the bank in in in Sepov over there, Bank of America. And so I start writing the check and I tell my wife, you watch it because it happens all the time. By the time I'm ready to get out of the car, they're all taken. And sure enough, you know, I rush I got out of five people came in. There's three and there's two in line waiting. You know, I tell you is you suffer, you know, but that is kind of like the mentality that we as Christians have that if we pray for our unsaved husband or if we pray for our unsaved wife or if we pray for our unsaved children or if we pray uh for a new job, you know, we just don't seem to want to have the stamina to stick it out. says he said we're hes if we endure and suffer. Now why is it that we have to suffer? I you know for years wanted to have an audience with God and please enlighten me on this. Tell me and the reason why suffering is what make us moldable. Yes. You see Job had everything. He was blessed of God. He had integrity. He had everything. But he had a mindset that had to be broken. Yes. See, he lived in fear of his children. He lived in fear every single time his children got together and had a big feast. Oh, probably my children sin. God knows what they did back there when the door was closed and he would rush and offer sacrifices to God. God had to break him from that fear. God had to break him through the fear. And so those things that were most precious. What was Abraham's fear? I don't have a descendant to leave all these blessings that you have given me. God says, I'll give you a son. Once he had the son, what was the fear? The fear was still there. So he had to take him up to a mountain. And he had to raise up a knife. And he had to be willing to kill that which he fear most. You see, most of us have been damaged by Satan. We have been damaged by people that Satan has used. Our souls bear the scars of the past. And before God can create in us a new heart, God has to break that heart and remove the scars that it is there. And usually God has to get up in there and remove the things that we hold on to. Yes. That is why he says if we share in his suffering, we will become hes. We have to come to the position with God to where we're not afraid of doing what Proverbs 20:27 says. It says that the the spirit of a man is a candle of the Lord. We have to come in a position where we're not afraid to saying, "Lord, let your Holy Spirit plug into my spirit right now and search deep within me if there's anything in there that will hinder the work that you want to do in my life. Lord, I want you to rip it out." Yes. Because you see, in our souls is where we build those walls to protect us because we have been hurt before. That's the wall that Peter had to break. He had a wall of protection. And when Jesus rejected the will that he was willing to die for him after that, he did not want to get close to Jesus anymore. You see, and that's why the suffering part. We may have to endure a while, my friend. You know, we may have to endure some losses. We may have to endure some pain. We may have to endure some sacrifice. But I tell you, the only thing that's going to get you through everything is if you have that burning hope deep within you that cries out, I know that my redeemer is alive. Amen. I know that I'm plugged to him. And I know that whatever tunnel I am going through, I will stand. Hallelujah. And I will not fall in the day of temptation and trouble. Hallelujah. I'm not afraid to allow God to get into the deep scars of my soul and rip him out if he has to, if he hinders the work that he wants to do in my life so that I can receive the rewards of an heir. In the book of Ruth, chapter 1 verse 16 and 17, we hear about this kinsman redeemer law in the book of Ruth and it's so beautiful. If if you read the entire book, it's only a few chapters. But Ruth was a Moabitete woman. That means that uh as a matter of fact you can read in some of the law where God forbids Moabai people forever even coming into his temple. So this woman had strike just right off the bat against her. She didn't even have a right to be to be there. She marries uh Naomi had two sons and there was a famine in the land and so she went to uh the Moabiti country and both of her sons married uh women from that land and then both of her son died without giving her any children and see she needed children because in order for her to to claim the land that she had back in Israel she had to have a son and she didn't. So Ruth uh who was a Moabitete never knew anything about God. Just what she had heard. You know Naomi was so bitter. She her name Naomi means pleasant. And she changed her name to Mara which means bitter. This is how bitter this woman was. So this woman was the only testimony of God that Ruth had. And yet when it was time for Naomi to go back to the land, Ruth uh Naomi was saying, "Stay back over here. Uh my people don't like women. They don't like women from Moabitete. You will always be a foreigner. You will always be a loser. You don't want to come with me. Stay here. Stay here. Stay here." But there was something inside of Ruth that she understood that the Jews had a real God. Amen. You see, she understood that. And she said in in in Ruth 1 16 and 17, but Ruth replied, he said, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Wherever you go, I will go. And where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people even if they reject me. And your God will be my God. Where you die, I will die. And there I will be buried." And then she says, "May the Lord deal with me. Be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates me from you. I want you to see that confession of faith that this woman made. She's going to a foreign land where she's always going to be a foreigner where she will always be rejected. As a matter of fact, if you read on as you read on, you see that boys as he comes in and it so happened that she because you know the poor people in those days uh what they had to do is when the harvest time came in and and these guys were going through the fields collecting everything there was a law that they couldn't go back to collect anything that they might have missed. So this is like was their welfare system. So the people who were poor would get behind and as these people were harvesting the field whatever was left they will take. And these guys were professional pickers so they wasn't living very much back. What she just happened when they get to the land and they have to eat they don't have no inheritance. They don't have no money. So Ruth goes up in there and she just happens to land in the lot that belongs to Joah to Jo uh Boaz to Boaz who happens to be one of our kinsman redeemer. And as she's there, boys takes notice of her and he says, "Make sure you stay on my field over here because you might be harmed." This is what a foreigner didn't have no right. Anybody could have just jumped and raped her. And boy, as Ghost talks to the guys that are working for him, he says, "Don't you dare lay a hand on this woman." Said, "Don't you dare mess with her." And then he tells the guys that were picking behind her, he says, "I want you to take some of the stuff you got on the bushes and drop it." So when she goes back after picking out day, boy, she's full. And Naomi immediately realizes this is somebody had to do this because this is impossible to do. Okay? She had found favor. She had found favor. Look at uh Ruth chapter 2. Ruth and verse 11 and 12. This is why Boas was being nice to her. He says, "Bois replied, I have been told all about what you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband. How you left your father, how you left your mother, and how you left your homeland, and you came to live with a people that you did not know before." I want you to see, my friend, Bo is a type of Christ, and Ruth is a type of us. Remember what Jesus said. He says if anybody does not deny his mother and his father before me he can have no part of me. That's that's where the statement comes from. This is what Jesus was quoting. You have to be willing. See this this is how we connect oursel to our kinsman redeemer. This is how we become one with him. Everything else has to die. Everything else has to die. Now, because uh Boaz saw that she was willing to live it all up, he prays a blessing over her. He says, "May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel." And listen to this. Under whose wing wings you have come to take refuge. My friend, we need to ask ourselves a question. Under whose wings are we taking refuge as Christians? You know there are many Christians that take refuge in the wrong things. They trust their wealth. Maybe they trust their CDs. Maybe they're tr you know their bank accounts. Maybe they trust their jobs. Maybe they trust all of these other thing. But you know a good job, a big bank account cannot save you, cannot save your children, cannot save your wife, cannot save those things that you love. Only the redeemer who is God himself is able to do that. This is what we need to understand as Christians that there is a a severing there is a cutting off that has to take place between us and the world. We cannot remain connected to the world by any little bridge or any little thing just in case. You know that doesn't work with the redeemer. That's what being connected to the redeemer is living giving it all up. giving it all up for the Lord. Now, this is how Satan tries to get the connection and take it out from us with God. There are three things I believe he brings. Guilt, shame, and condemnation. Yes. If Satan can get you feeling guilty, you sever the connection, then your redeemer is not alive. Your redeemer is not living. Because you see, once you you accepted Jesus Christ, I think it was Joel that read tonight, he says we're not our own. See, once we accepted Jesus Christ as our savior, God went in, took the old thing out, disconnected it, and only the new is in. There's no guilt in the new. That's right. There is no shame. See, the guilt was placed on the cross where Jesus was nailed. The shame was placed on the cross. He hung there naked. And the condemnation was placed there on the cross when the sun refused to shine. And when darkness covered the earth and God turned his back on him and he said, "Father, father, why have you forsaken me, that's where the guilt and the shame and the condemnation went?" That's right. Amen. But you see, if Satan can get any of us to feel any of those thing, guilt, shame, or condemnation, immediately our redeemer is not alive in us anymore. That's right. And this is why we fail so many times. We fail to see that. See, when Job, the reason why God uses Job as an example, when Job was going through this, my friend, he had sores from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. The man was sick. He said he was that his temperature was so high that he was burning. He said, "I'm like an oven burning." He couldn't even sleep. it would be nightmares terrorizing him and everything. And then here he's having to to to bear the guilt that all of his children were dead, that all of his possessions were gone. He has three friends now that Satan is using to torment him. And in the midst of all of this, he is able to say, "My redeemer is alive." You see, he's able to say, "I know where my connection is at. I don't understanding. I don't know what' Previous Next Home

  • A SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP HOVERS OVER AMERICA | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

A SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP HOVERS OVER AMERICA To awaken believers to the reality that America is under a spirit of deep sleep, leading to blindness, division, and moral decay, and to call the nation to repentance so that God’s intended destiny for America can be restored. A SPIRIT OF DEEP SLEEP HOVERS OVER AMERICA Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To awaken believers to the reality that America is under a spirit of deep sleep, leading to blindness, division, and moral decay, and to call the nation to repentance so that God’s intended destiny for America can be restored. Synopsis: In A Spirit of Deep Sleep Hovers Over America, Pastor Marcos draws from Isaiah 29:10 to expose the spiritual state of America. Just as Israel was blinded by disobedience, America too has fallen into slumber, having lost her moral compass and forsaken the founding principles rooted in God’s will. The silence of prophets and seers, coupled with leaders who honor God with their lips but deny Him in their hearts, has left the nation vulnerable to deception. Pastor Marcos identifies how modern culture—driven by politics, entertainment, and punditry—teaches morality based on the commandments of men rather than the Word of God. This has produced blindness, corruption, and a false sense of security. Yet Isaiah’s warning also carries hope: if the nation repents and returns to God, understanding and true doctrine will be restored. Ultimately, the message is a prophetic call for America to awaken, repent, and reclaim her divine destiny. Without repentance, judgment is inevitable, but with repentance, God promises renewal and the lifting of the spirit of deep sleep. Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 29:10 “For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, namely, the prophets; and He has covered your heads, namely, the seers.” These are indeed difficult times for the faithful here in America, it does not take a political or economic expert to realize that our nation is in great trouble. Morally speaking it’s even worst, we are bitterly divided, and have lost our sense of direction, and it does not look as if it’s going to get better anytime soon. In our Scripture it declares that a spirit is the culprit, a spirit of deep sleep. Now within the context, Isaiah is speaking to Jerusalem, the city of David. But within the greater context, Isaiah’s prophecy can be applied to any great nation that has lost its moral compass. Is there any doubt about America’s greatness? Surely not. Is there any doubt that America has lost her sense of direction? Not from where I’m standing. In this chapter Isaiah is lamenting about the blindness that is caused by disobedience. When persons as well as nations betray the founding principles upon which they were called and/or built, they become blinded to their mission, and become bitterly divided within themselves. The question that I asked when I first read our Scripture, was basically this, what came first? The spirit of deep sleep that closed the eyes and covered the heads of the seers. Or was it the silence of the prophets and seers that allowed the spirit of deep sleep to enter? Some may say, it does not matter at this point. But for me it is important to know, because it is through understanding that wisdom materializes, and it is wisdom that affords us a way of escape, if there is one to be found. Isaiah 29:9 “Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind…” Let us pause and wonder here for a moment. How does a nation blinds itself? By refusing to follow its destiny! Here is where I, as a Christian, disagree with many secular conservative pundits. America is a great nation not because of the many great men and women of her illustrious history, who had great forth sight into the founding and direction that this nation was to follow, and we did have them, thank God. But that is not why America is a great nation, America was destined to become a great nation by God, and I maintain, that the founding fathers knew that, and that is what made them great, they understood the will of God for the nation that they were founding. Isaiah 29:13 “Therefore the Lord said: ‘Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men.’” Have you notice how politicians here in America, after giving some great speech to their constituencies always seem to end with the phrase; God bless America. They honor God with their lips, but they really do not desire God’s will for America in their own hearts. If they did, they wouldn't be doing the things that they do behind our backs. Isaiah 29:15 “Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the Lord, and their works are in the dark; they say, ‘Who sees us?’ and, ‘Who knows us?’” If there is a price for a Bible verse that most reveals how our political process works now days in America, I think I have the winning entry. What was it that the former speaker of the house once said? You have to pass the bill if you want to find out what’s in it. We are finding out alright, and it's not good, so, is par for the course. But here is where we really get into trouble; Fear toward Me (this is what God says) is taught by the commandment of men. Today, morality in America is taught by those whose hearts are far from God. The entertainment industry, whose primary goal is to please their audiences and to make money, are the main drivers of our present-day culture. Pundits who are more worried about ratings than what God says, are telling us, Bible thumping does not work, basically they are saying, keep your God out of it, after all we have made our own moral codes and they are based on the commandments of man, passed by legislators and judges who do their best works in secret, out of the people’s eyes. So, if in spite of all these facts, the citizens of America decide to follow their counsel, then, blind yourselves and be blind! Isaiah 29:14 “Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” This is how we can confirm that our nation is under a spirit of deep sleep; there is no one left on the scene that is wise or prudent enough to get us out of the mess we are in. The more they try, the deeper in the hole we get, is almost like quicksand. Every time we try to make our situation better by some legislative maneuver, it seems to work against us, and it just makes it worst, we just keep getting deeper in debt. Isaiah 29:8 “It shall be even as when a hungry man dreams, and look—he eats; but he awakes, and his soul still empty; or as when a thirsty man dreams, and look—he drinks; but he awakes, and indeed he is faint, and his soul still craves: so the multitude of all the nations shall be, who fight against Mount Zion.” Boy it cannot get any more real than what the Lord says; its like living in a dream, isn’t that what happens when you are under the influence of a spirit of deep sleep? We kid ourselves that everything is going to be alright in spite of the mess we are in, we believe it, and reassure ourselves of what we believe, but then we wake up and look at the facts, and man, it keeps getting worse, how is that for reality? One of two things will happen to us, either we as a nation wake up and repent, and ask the Lord to forgive us for deviating from the destiny for which He created America, or the Lord returns and takes the faithful away while He judges the ungodly for their ungodly acts that they have committed. Which one will it be? Well, if we repent this is what will happen: Isaiah 29:24 “These also who erred in spirit (of deep sleep) will come to understanding, and those who complained will learn doctrine.” What a beautiful promise, but here is the key; we have to come to an understanding of the truth before we can learn doctrine. Is America a special nation that God ordained to shine His light during trouble times? Yes, that is the truth! Is America currently living up to the founding principles for which God created her? No she is not, and that’s the truth! What if we do not repent as a nation? Isaiah 29:6 “ You will be punish by the Lord of hosts with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire.” The choice is clear, and no matter which pundits approve or disapprove, or what politicians or other groups are offended by our stance, our foundation is in the Bible and the confidence that we have on the inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures. Let not our speech be timid, for we have the truth on our side, so let us proclaim it boldly, for we do love this nation, and when we ask God for His blessings upon America is not a slogan that we say to incur favor with people; it flows out of a deeply thankful heart that realizes that without God’s favor upon them, the nations languish in spiritual darkness until they perish from the face of the earth to be no more. • SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT The objective of Spiritual Discernment is to equip believers with the understanding and ability to recognize and expose unclean spirits that influence human behavior. Through the gift of discerning of spirits, Christians are empowered by the Holy Spirit to identify the root causes of spiritual oppression, confront demonic strongholds, and bring deliverance and restoration through the love of God. This lesson aims to reveal how hatred, rooted in idolatry and pride, manifests as seven abominations, and how God’s love is the ultimate power that breaks these chains. SPIRITUAL DISCERNMENT Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of Spiritual Discernment is to equip believers with the understanding and ability to recognize and expose unclean spirits that influence human behavior. Synopsis: In Spiritual Discernment, Pastor Marcos explains that discernment of spirits is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit given for the profit of all believers. Since spiritual warfare involves unseen enemies, discernment is essential in identifying who these spirits are and how they operate. Drawing from Matthew 12, Pastor Marcos shows how unclean spirits leave but attempt to return with stronger reinforcements, revealing the danger of a spiritually empty life. The teaching identifies the root of demonic influence: hatred toward God, which gives rise to idolatry and iniquity. This hatred manifests in seven abominable spirits described in Proverbs, including Pride, Self-righteousness, Gossip and Slander, Malice, Bitter Envy and Self-seeking, Betrayal and Dishonesty, and Perversion. Pride is emphasized as the trunk of this tree of wickedness, masking hatred and opening the door to the others. Pastor Marcos contrasts this demonic counterfeit with the fruit of the Spirit, which is love manifesting in eight forms such as joy, peace, and kindness. Just as Satan builds his infrastructure as a perverted copy of God’s order, so too does hatred mimic love through its abominations. Discernment, then, is the believer’s spiritual tool to recognize these hidden forces of hate and bring light into darkness. Ultimately, the lesson concludes that deliverance is found not in human effort but in replacing hatred with the unconditional love of God. Through Christ’s sacrifice and the power of His Spirit, believers are set free from self-hatred, pride, and perversion, and restored to their true identity in Christ. God’s love, demonstrated at the cross, ensures that nothing can separate us from Him and empowers us to walk in discernment, truth, and victory. Inspired Teaching: 1 Corinthians 12:10 “…To another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits…” Spiritual discernment is one of nine “gifts” made available to believers by the Holy Spirit for the profit of all believers. In spiritual warfare our foes are spirits, our ability to discern who these spirits are and how they operate is crucial if we are to get the upper hand in bringing deliverance to the believers who are oppressed by them. Matthew 12:43-45 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.” In the above verses Jesus gives us tremendous insight into the why and the how of unclean spirits and how they operate. Also how they gain access into the individual. A wicked generation opens the door for widespread demonic infestation. The root of wickedness is idolatry, and idolatry produces iniquities. Psalm 7:14 “Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity.” Exodus 20:4-5 “You shall not make for yourself a carved (idolatry) image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me.” And the root of idolatry is hatred towards God. According to Jesus there are seven different kinds of more wicked spirits who are able to interact with the less wicked spirit that claims the body that he was exorcised from as his own house. It will be interesting to know who this wicked spirit is who is able to summon help from more wicked spirits than himself in order to take back the house (body) from which he was kicked out. Proverbs 26:24-26 “He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself; when he speaks kindly, do not believe him, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness will be revealed before the assembly.” Idolatry in its root form is wickedness that brings forth iniquity (inherited sin) which is deeply rooted in hate, hatred of God and of everything that belongs to God. So that the primary but lesser unclean spirit that summons the seven more wicked spirits than himself after he is cast out, is the spirit of hate. He who hates harbors (summons) seven abominations in his heart (spirits) which revealed themselves as wickedness. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit (singular) of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (these eight are all manifestations of God’s love). Against such there is no law.” Our born-again spirit is conceived in love (God so loved the world). That love manifests itself in the born-again person in eight different representations of God’s love, for a total of nine. The un-regenerated spirit still belongs to God though separated from Him, so hate which is the opposite of love manifests itself in seven different ways or levels of wickedness, for a total of eight unclean spirits. Satan, the head of the demons sums up to number nine. Every demonic infrastructure is a perverted copy of the heavenly pattern. God is love and manifests His love in eight fruit, singular as in one unit. Satan cannot possess the spirit-man for it belongs to God, so his hate can only manifest itself in seven different levels of itself (hate being number eight) within an individual. These seven manifestations of hate are called abominations in the Word of God. Our ability to discern these abominably unclean spirits and their deeply rooted hatefulness is crucial in our ability to help people beset by them to be set free. This is what spiritual discernment is all about. Seven abominations which are born out of hatred towards God. 1) Proverbs 16:5 “Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; though they join forces, none will go unpunished.” Number one is the spirit of Pride. If hate is the root, clearly pride is the trunk of the tree. Pride is born out of a hateful heart. The spirit of hate masquerades itself so as not to be uncovered: Proverbs 26:24 “He who hates, disguises it with his lips, and lays up deceit within himself.” One sure way to know if hate is present in the heart of the person we are helping is through the discernment of the spirit of pride. If pride is present, hate is hiding behind it, they go together like a hand in glove, and it is this lethal combination of joining forces which enables these other six unclean spirits access. 2) Proverbs 15:8 “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.” Number two is the spirit of Self-righteousness. The proud in heart will pray (sacrifice) to God in self-righteousness instead of meekness, not even aware sometimes of his own conceit. Luke 18:11-13 “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men — extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess’.” What is it that drives people to do what they do? If pride is behind it, nothing good will come out of it. 3) Proverbs 15:26 “The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD, but the words of the pure are pleasant.” Number three is the spirit of Gossip and Slander. Jesus told us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. We have a saying that says, the down puts down, the mind set of this spirit is to tear down with words, gossip and slander are its characteristics. 4) Proverbs 11:20 “Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, but the blameless in their ways are His delight.” Number four is the spirit of Malice. A perverse heart manifests itself through malice. It will actively seek and desire for evil things to befall others. 5) Proverbs 12:22 “Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Number five is the spirit of Bitter Envy and Self-seeking. James 3:14 “But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.” 6) Proverbs 11:1 “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight.” Number six is the spirit of Betrayal and dishonesty. Dishonesty, betrayal and untrustworthiness is the conduct that will expose this spirit. 7) Proverbs 3:32 “For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, but His secret counsel is with the upright.” Number seven is the spirit of Perversion. The person that is driven by the selfish desires of their heart (lust of the flesh), will desire to obtain the things which they see (lust of the eyes) as profitable for increasing their own status in the eyes of others (pride of life). Such a person becomes perverted, meaning a counterfeit copy of their real selves, which was originally created in the image of God. The proud heart will sacrifice whatever it takes to realize the thoughts and desires of their perverse heart, they will lie and cheat to achieve their goals. In the process they lose their original personality, which was created in them by God, and become a perversion of what they were created to be. Who would have thought that hate could produce so much evil. The sad thing is that it usually begins with hating oneself. Pride is what we use to compensate for the feelings of worthlessness, and the rest just follows. Romans 5:5 “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God put a price on the soul of man, a price so valuable that could only be measure by the intensity of the sufferings and passion of His only begotten Son for us. The precious and priceless blood that Jesus shed for us has once and for all separated the words “worthless” and “soul”. They are so far apart that they are not even in the same universe. Love and self-acceptance in the unconditional love God has for us, which He demonstrated on the cross, is the key that unlocks and opens the perverse heart and releases that hateful bird called pride. Humbly and grateful the restored heart rejoices in its new found love and acceptance, and the peace of God which passes all understanding rules and guides, faithfully comforting the emerging new person which is now being built in the image of Christ. Romans 8:37-39 “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” True deliverance comes as we replace the spirit of hate with God’s love which is Spirit, and that’s the truth. Isaiah 25:1 “O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Previous Next Home

  • COMPROMISE | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

COMPROMISE The objective of this teaching is to expose the destructive impact of compromise in the believer’s walk with God. Pastor Marcos aims to reveal how false teachers, through covetousness and deceptive doctrines, pervert the Word of Truth in order to weaken the faith of the church. The goal is to strengthen believers with the knowledge of God’s uncompromised Word so they may walk in spiritual authority, persevere against deception, and live as faithful priests and kings under Christ. COMPROMISE Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to expose the destructive impact of compromise in the believer’s walk with God. Synopsis: In Compromise, Pastor Marcos confronts the danger of false teachers who infiltrate the church with deceptive doctrines that weaken the faith of God’s people. Drawing from 2 Peter, he explains how Satan seeks to undermine the dual authority Christ has given His church—authority over both the spiritual and physical realms—by corrupting the Word of God and luring believers into selfish desires and covetousness. The lesson emphasizes that faith comes only through hearing the uncompromised Word of God, and when believers compromise that truth, their spiritual authority is disarmed. Pastor Marcos outlines Peter’s instructions for fortifying faith: adding virtue (valor), knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love. By standing on truth with courage and rejecting self-serving ambitions, believers strengthen their shield of faith, overcome deception, and shine as lights in a darkened world. Ultimately, Pastor Marcos reminds us that we are called to reign as kings by first serving faithfully as priests. Living in uncompromised obedience to God’s Word ensures that our authority remains intact, enabling us to trample serpents and scorpions, expose the works of darkness, and minister the saving light of Christ to others. Inspired Teaching: 2 Peter 2:1 “But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.” In our last deliverance lesson, Kings and Priests, I taught about the separation of powers that God ordained for mankind after the flood, and how Jesus has restored to us—His church—the ability to exercise His authority in both the spiritual and the physical realms. Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions (demonic spiritual entities), and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Matthew 21:21 “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain (which is in the physical realm), “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” it will be done.’” The key to this power is the faith which comes by hearing, and the hearing of the uncompromised Word of God. Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Now you can see how important our opening text is, in relation to the power that has been given to the church. There will be false teachers among you. Peter is telling us that false teachers will come and pervert the Word of Truth that has empowered us, so that our faith is disarmed to the point that it becomes ineffective. 2 Peter 2:2 “And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed (or perverted).” We can see a mechanism here that begins to emerge. The devil knows that our Lord has given to us authority over him and over his demonic hordes. He can also see that our Lord has given to us authority over the physical realm as well; so how does he stop us from deploying our faith for the purpose of destroying his kingdom? Since the key is, that our faith comes through us hearing the Word of God, the devil’s aim is, to disarm our faith by perverting the Word of Truth that we have been taught to believe in; which are the great and precious promises that have been given to us. 2 Peter 1:3 “As (or according to) His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness (physical and spiritual), through the knowledge of Him (we know Him through the hearing of His uncompromised Word) who called us by glory and virtue.” False teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, for the purpose of separating us from the promises in the Word of God that pertain to the dual power that has been given to us in God’s Word. 2 Peter 1:4 “By which has been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature (which allows us to exercise authority over both, the physical and the spiritual realms), having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” What is the key element that the enemy uses in order to detach us from the great and precious promises that empower us? Compromising the Word of Truth for the sake of selfish ambitions! 2 Peter 2:3 “By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.” Our power is exploited through deceptive words that appeal to our physical nature and its natural desires, thereby separating us from the spiritual mind set—which is the mind of Christ—to where we become physically minded and forego our spiritual responsibilities, which are to trample on serpents and scorpions by exercising our dual authority over all the power of the enemy. Romans 8:5-7 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death (no power), but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (power in both the physical and the spiritual realms). Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” How do we get delivered from the negative effects on our faith, that all the deceptive words that we have been exposed to through the doctrines of false teachers that are in the ministry for self-gain, have caused us? 2 Peter 1:5 “But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge.” Peter, well aware of the tactics of the devil, begins to instruct us as to how we can prevent, and also how to be delivered, from the damage that false doctrines can bring to our faith in the Word of Truth. Giving all diligence means this is a top priority, we must not take this lightly. A weak or compromised faith not only weakens our authority over the enemy, but it also lowers our covering shield that protects us. It may surprise you to know that the word virtue used by Peter as something that we need to add to our faith, means manliness, (valor). How do we add manliness, or valor, or courage to our faith? Knowledge is what adds virtue or manliness to our faith! What type of knowledge adds virtue or manliness to our faith? John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Is this not obvious to all? If belief in the perverted or compromised Word of God weakens our faith, wouldn't belief in the true and uncompromised Word of God add to our faith the strength and manliness that it needs? 2 Peter 1:6 “To knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness.” We cannot exercise control over something that we do not know or understand. Knowledge is what motivates us into exercising control over that which we know to be wrong and that we know is weakening us. Once we know the factual truth that our faith is purposely weaken by false teachers who teach perverted doctrines, we can add virtue or manliness to our faith, by courageously turning away from their demonic doctrines that we know are hurting us, thereby acting in self-control. False teachers are not going to vanish just because we find out about their false doctrines. False demonic doctrines permeate all facets of life, these false doctrines will continue with their allure for us to compromise our faith, especially in the face of the resistance and opposition that this corrupt world system continuously hurdles against our stand for the Truth of the Word of God. That is why perseverance is required of us, and what motivates us into maintaining our perseverance, is our desire for a godly life that pleases God, as we continuously walk in the self-control that is guided by the knowledge that strengthens and adds virtue/manliness to our faith. 2 Peter 1:7 “To godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” We fulfill the Law of God, when we love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength, and when we love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Now, think about it? Since selfish desires or covetousness, are the allure that the devil uses against us; if we operate under the law of love and brotherly kindness—by putting the needs of others first—we insulate ourselves from the need to compromise that will lead us into accepting the perverted doctrines that weaken our faith in the Word of God. Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better that himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.” This is the mind of Christ—and as long as we operate within the mind of Christ, we do not compromise the power and authority that our Lord has given to us to use on behalf of others, for their benefit, as well as ours. 2 Peter 1:8 “For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” There is a proper flow to this authority that has been given to us in our call as kings and priests to Christ—a flow that we do well to heed if we want to be effective in administering this dual power that has been vested in us. 2 Peter 1:19 “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” Since Jesus is our example, let us look at the ministry of Jesus and how He handled the physical and spiritual authority that was given to Him, as King of kings over all physical matter, and as our High Priest over all spiritual hierarchies. John 3:17 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” The simplest way to put it is this, before we can rule as kings on this earth, we need to serve as priests of the Most High God. We are not to call for the destruction of our human enemies, but for their salvation. And the weapon that we are to implement on their behalf, for their deliverance from the forces of darkness that keeps them blind, is the uncompromised Word of God that shines as a light in a dark place. The Word of God is like a double edge sword, as we wield it without compromise; it shines as a light that not only delivers us personally from the allures of this world system, but it shines through us into the world, and convicts and exposes the darkness that has befallen all who have fallen for the worldly desires that binds them. And through our uncompromising stand for the Word of God it gives them hope. Psalm 18:28 “For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.” Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined.” We are the light of the world; and the light that we are to radiate can only come through the uncompromised Word of God that we live daily for all to see. Here is a true saying: If we live as priests we will reign as kings. Previous Next Home

  • THE END OF DAYS | House of Faith Ministries (HoFM)

THE END OF DAYS To help believers understand the biblical perspective of the end of days by reflecting on both personal mortality and God’s ultimate judgment on the nations. The lesson aims to awaken spiritual sensitivity to the frailty of human life, the urgency of repentance, and the necessity of seeking God’s mercy in the midst of His wrath, so that we may be prepared for our individual end and the final culmination of history. THE END OF DAYS Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: To help believers understand the biblical perspective of the end of days by reflecting on both personal mortality and God’s ultimate judgment on the nations. The lesson aims to awaken spiritual sensitivity to the frailty of human life, the urgency of repentance, and the necessity of seeking God’s mercy in the midst of His wrath, so that we may be prepared for our individual end and the final culmination of history. Synopsis: The teaching begins with Lamentations 4:18, drawing attention to the reality of endings, both personal and cosmic. From early life experiences of life and death cycles, the message reminds us that awareness of mortality is ingrained in human existence. Psalm 39 provides David’s prayer for God to make him aware of his end, showing that recognition of life’s brevity fosters humility, value for life, and readiness for eternity. This awareness combats the human tendency toward indifference. David confessed how silence and inaction in the face of evil only stirred sorrow within him until prayer moved him to action. His prayer was not for strength but for revelation of his own frailty, emphasizing dependence on God. The prophet Habakkuk’s lament mirrors this struggle. He cried out against injustice, perplexed at God’s silence and His use of even more wicked nations to execute judgment. Yet God revealed to Habakkuk His larger plan: both Israel and the nations would face judgment, culminating in the dreadful end of days. This revelation shifted Habakkuk’s prayer from complaint to intercession: “In wrath, remember mercy” (Hab. 3:2). The lesson concludes by urging believers today to view the chaos and lawlessness around us not only as signs of the end but as opportunities to proclaim God’s grace. Instead of fixating on judgment, we are called to embrace God’s heart—that none should perish but all come to repentance. The final exhortation is that while the end of days is certain and God’s wrath inevitable, His mercy is equally available through Christ, who bore judgment at the cross for all who believe. Inspired Teaching: Lamentations 4:18 “They tracked our steps so that we could not walk in our streets, our end was near; our days were over, for our end had come.” Throughout the history of mankind there has always been a group of people fascinated with the end of things, the end of days, and with the end of time. Maybe it is because we experience the death of things on a daily basis, we are not so much aware of it, those of us who live in modern cities that provide us with the comfort of buying things that have already been killed and packaged, but think back to earlier times. I remember when I was a kid growing up in Cuba, even though we lived over the ocean waters, for our house was built on stilts, we still raised chickens on the back deck of the house, and every time my mom was going to fix chicken for dinner one of them had to die. We kept live fish in the well tank of our boat that was tied to the front of the house, and every time that we were going to have fish for dinner, we went to the tank, got the fish out, killed it and cooked it. We did that with pigs and turkeys that we raised for special occasions as well, I even remember a goat that we raised once, it chewed through the wooden boards on the floor and fell through and ended up hanging itself on the chain that it had tied around its neck while its hind legs were dangling over the water. So that the experience of the cycles of life and death, beginning and endings, are well seated within our DNA. But how does the Bible define what we call the end of days, not just generally as of the end of the age, but our personal end as well? Psalm 39:4 “Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am.” David’s prayer gives us great insight as to why we humans are either fascinated, fearful, or willfully indifferent, to the awareness of the end of things as we know them. How many times are we reminded of our mortality? How many times do we ignore it? At the heart of David’s prayer was the cognitive reality that to ignore our personal mortality reduces our ability to prepare ourselves, and our posterity, for the end of the age that will one day come upon the final generation of humans that will live to see that day. David strongly implies that knowing about his personal mortality as well as the duration of his days while here on the earth, would make him more sensitive to the frailty of life. Now here is the implication, it is extremely hard for us humans to really value human life if we are not fully aware of the value of our own life. How do we react to news that a flood or a landslide killed hundreds of people on a far away distant land? First thought that comes to mind is, those things are always happening to those people out there. How do we react when a tragedy like that happens in our own neck of the woods? New York city is still three thousand miles from where I lived in September 11, 2001 and yet I felt, and I still feel, like I was right there when that tragedy happened. Now why is that? Because when we are personally affected by an event that causes many lives to perish, their death becomes more real to us. And that is the idea that Psalm 39 is trying to convey to us. Listen to what it was that caused David to ask God to give him the revelation of: Make me to know my end. Psalm 39:2-3 “I was mute with silence, I held my peace (became indifferent) even from good; and my sorrow was stirred up. My heart was hot within me; while I was musing (just thinking about it), the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue (took action).” Wow! What a powerful description of what moved him. First David said to himself, I am going to keep my mouth shut, I don’t care if it is good or bad, I’m just going to stay out of it. Isn’t that what so many of us do today? Society is going to hell in a hand basket all around us, so many are dying of drug overdose, so many others are shot dead on a daily basis, and well, we just feel so helpless that we tell ourselves to ignore it, for after all, there is nothing that we can really do about it, or so we feel. Then David said that his sorrow was stirred up, what was it that caused David’s sorrow to be moved? He said that while he was just sitting around thinking about the situation and doing nothing, the fire burned. There are two ways to interpret that, one is that while we sit around and muse and do nothing, the fire continuous to rage and consume all around us unopposed, inflicting a heavy toll on society. The other way to interpret that is, that while we are witnessing the heavy toll on life that our indifference is in some way aiding and abetting, it is what causes our inward fire to burn that moves us to do something. What David did was he prayed. Prayer is recognition that we ourselves are unable to change the situation by our own mortal means. It is amazing to me that David in his prayer did not ask God to give him strength to deal with the situation that he was too weak to handle, instead he asked God to reveal to him his weaknesses to the utter most, for this is what David say: That I may know how frail I am. This is so amazing, because it defies human logic. How is me knowing how weak in reality I really am is going to solve the situation? There is a Scripture parallel that applies here I believe, and it is found in the entire book of the prophet Habakkuk. Habakkuk 1:2-4 “O Lord, how long shall I cry, and You will not hear? Even cry out to You, ‘Violence!’ And you will not save. Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? For plundering and violence are before me; there is strife, and contention arises. Therefore the law is powerless, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked surround the righteous; therefore perverse judgment proceeds.” Habakkuk was a righteous Israelite man who lived among the sinful people of the nation of Israel of that time. He is praying to God, and he is asking God why He is not answering his prayer, Habakkuk tells God that he is even pointing out the wrongdoing that he sees when he cries out publicly, Violence! Back in Bible days it was customary to cry out publicly, or to publish, when something bad was happening that could affect those around them. In the case of a leprous person having to pass near anyone else that was not infected with leprosy, the victims of leprosy were required by law to cry out loudly, Unclean! Unclean! To warn those around then not to come in close contact with them. In the same manner when a sin was being perpetrated against another in the nation of Israel, it was required of the Israelites to expose the wrong doing publicly, and that is what Habakkuk is saying to God he did, to no avail. Then Habakkuk says this to God: Why do you show me iniquity, and cause me to see trouble? Basically, Habakkuk is saying, Lord if You are not going to answer my prayer of action against lawlessness, why then do you allow me to witness so much evil? After all, if you do not answer my prayer, there is absolutely nothing that I can do about the wrong that is all around me. However, God is trying to teach Habakkuk what David already knew and was teaching us on Psalm 39. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch—be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it was told you.” So, God takes the prophet Habakkuk into a vision of the near future and reveals to him what dreadful end the nation of Israel has coming because of all their sinfulness that they refused to repent from. Habakkuk is in shock when he witnesses first-hand what the utter devastation of all those around him will be. However what troubles him the most is the way in which God executes judgment on Israel. I guess Habakkuk expected some holy and righteous nation to be used by God to judge his faltering nation, but instead God uses a nation that is far worse, as far as sinfulness and cruelty is, than Israel ever was, to judge them. This is how God describes the nation that He will use to judge Israel for all their sinfulness that they have committed against Him. Habakkuk 1:7 “They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.” So that Habakkuk’s prayer changes in emphasis, instead of saying how bad the Israelites really are that lived all around him, now he is asking God how can you use a nation that is far worse than Israel could have ever been to judge us? And then this is what Habakkuk says: Habakkuk 2:1 “I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected.” Then God takes Habakkuk into a vision of the future end of days, when the entire earth, along with all the nations, will be judged by God for all their ungodly acts that they have committed against Him. The experience is so traumatic that Habakkuk finally realizes that the judgments of God for the end of days are so completely dreadful, that he now understands how frail human life truly is, and instead of feelings of inadequacy and helplessness, or complaining about all the wrong that was all around him, instead he realizes that the only hope for all humans lies in God’s mercy. Habakkuk 3:2 “O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.” David’s prayer was: Make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how frail I am. Notice how the prayer of Habakkuk mirrors what the prayer of David was, Revive Your work in the midst of the (my) years. I believe that there are no humans that have ever experienced how dreadful the judgments of the end of days are, and who have not prayed this prayer in earnest: Dear Lord, IN THE DAY OF YOUR WRATH, REMEMBER MERCY! We are living in the midst of dire and difficult days, to say the least, for lawlessness and perversion are rampant everywhere we look. But let our prayer emphasis change from, God look at all the evil that is all around us, when are You going to judge it? To the New Testament revelation that says, the more that sins abounds, the more that the grace of God abounds. Let us see what is going on all around us as an opportunity to usher in the grace of God. And we can pray that prayer "in wrath remember mercy" sincerely, only if we have felt the heart of God in this matter. For our God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. That is why Jesus went to the cross. Previous Next Home

DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that deliverance, like salvation, is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey of freedom in Christ. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that deliverance addresses not only sin but also the consequences of sin, and that believers must learn to recognize and overcome strongholds through forgiveness, covenant trust, and the fruit of the Spirit. The goal is to equip Christians with a mindset of continual victory, rooted in God’s unchanging promises, that transforms both their personal walk and their ministry toward others. DELIVERANCE IS FOR LIFE Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that deliverance, like salvation, is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey of freedom in Christ. Synopsis: In Deliverance is for Life, Pastor Marcos Marrero explores the biblical truth that God carries His children from the womb to old age, promising continual deliverance (Isaiah 46:3-4). Many Christians mistakenly view deliverance as a one-time breakthrough, yet Pastor Marcos shows that true deliverance is an ongoing process tied to salvation itself—salvation frees us from sin, while deliverance frees us from its lingering consequences. He explains that sin has two edges: separation and consequence. Through Christ, who is both faithful to forgive and just to cleanse, believers can experience complete restoration. Forgiveness, however, does not always restore trust, and many struggle with offenses because they confuse forgiving with trusting. Pastor Marcos teaches that forgiving is an act of obedience to God’s Word, not a reliance on human flesh, and that true deliverance requires shifting focus from the offender to the spiritual strongholds influencing their behavior. By exposing the battle between selfish ambition (self-centered idolatry) and self-control (fruit of the Spirit), he encourages believers to stop taking offenses personally and instead intercede for those bound by strongholds. Such prayers, birthed by the Spirit, align with Christ’s command to love, bless, and pray for those who hurt us (Matthew 5:44-45). Pastor Marcos stresses the security of God’s covenant: unlike human relationships that can break under repeated offenses, Jesus swore never to leave nor forsake His children. This assurance empowers believers to forgive continually and extend grace, knowing God’s promises are unchangeable. Ultimately, Deliverance is for Life calls Christians to reject selfish ambition, embrace self-control, and trust in God’s unwavering commitment to carry and deliver them. Every offense becomes an opportunity for double victory—freedom from personal hurt and the chance to minister deliverance to others. In this way, past wounds no longer define believers but become platforms for testimony, demonstrating that all things work together for good to those who love God (Romans 8:28). Inspired Teaching: Isaiah 46:3-4 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb: even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Those who go through the deliverance ministry, sometimes think that it is a one-time proposition because of the great results that they received after being delivered from a stronghold that held them back for so long. But in reality, deliverance, like salvation, is a lifelong process that involves every believer, even if they have not gone through ministry under a well-trained deliverance team. Not every believer has a stronghold in their lives so powerful that needs outside help in order for them to break loose from it. In this lesson I want to deal with the ministry of deliverance itself and the different kinds of strongholds that afflict so many of God’s children today. Deliverance and salvation are synonymous in the sense that we all need to be saved, and we all need to be delivered. Salvation saves us from our sins. Deliverance saves us from the consequences of our sins. There is a difference, and awareness of that difference can make all the difference in the world, pardon the pun. 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Sin is a double edge sword that cuts both ways, brings separation, and condemnation/consequences. Jesus, the two-edged sword Word of God who became flesh is faithful and just; faithful to forgive us our sins, and just to cleanse us from the consequences of our sins. We can never understand deliverance until we understand the two sides of sin. Let’s say that a person sins against another person, let’s call that sin a violation of trust. Let’s say that the offender repents and asks the offended person to forgive them and let us say that the offended person truly forgives them, it does not necessarily mean that the person that got hurt and forgave the trespasser, will be able to trust them again even if they wanted to, because within our nature we do not like to get hurt. During ministry, many a time I heard the injured party say to me that they cannot let go of the offense. They know that the Scriptures compels them to forgive the offender, yet the pain is so real to them that they cannot bring themselves to forgive because they equate it with having to put their trust on the offender only to get hurt all over again. Forgiving does not mean trusting in their flesh! Philippians 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.” God does not put any confidence in the flesh and neither should we, but if we want to worship God in Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, we must be obedient to His Word. That is if we want to be delivered from our inabilities to trust again and be free from the fear of getting hurt. We need a basic understanding of how Jesus is faithful to forgive us, and how He is just to cleanse us from our repeated offenses that just won’t let us go, because of the stronghold that they have over our actions. It all begins with us putting our trust in the covenant! Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie (And He also swore that He would not change His mind 7:21), we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.” In the covenant that allows Jesus to be faithful to forgive us our sins and just to cleanse us from their consequences, we find that the God who cannot lie swore on an oath that He would not change His mind. Here is what it means: when we forgive, we do so in the expectation that the offender will not hurt us anymore by violating our trust once again. If they continue to hurt us after we have truly forgiven them, we, rightly so, change our minds and break away from fellowship with them, and the offender bears the consequences of their sins against us by being deprived of our communion with them, for that might be the only way that we can keep them from hurting us. So that in our natural way of thinking we see our relationship with Jesus in the same frame of mind, since we keep sinning against His Word because of a stronghold in our lives, we derive that He changes His mind toward us and does not want to be around us anymore. Although our hurting others will keep people away from us, we can never drive Jesus away from us, because He promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us, and He swore an oath that He would not change His mind. So that if we want to see ourselves in the way that Jesus sees us, we need to see those who continue to offend us as Jesus sees them. It is the spirit of Selfish Ambition against the spirit of Self Control! When someone hurts us, our natural response is, they hurt me. We hardly realize that the person hurting us is so hurt that they just simply hurt back others just so that in their minds they get even somehow, that is how the spirit of Selfish Ambition works. It is self-centered. If in the other hand we realize that the person hurting us is under the control of a spiritual stronghold, especially when they have repented in the past and come back and hurt us again, then our mind set can be one of Self Control. For our emphasis is now on the spiritual condition of the offender instead of our own hurt that we are experiencing by their actions against us. In spiritual warfare, once the spirit behind the offense is exposed, that lays the foundation for our victory over them. So that every time that we are offended we have an opportunity for a double victory. If we do not take the offense personal, we do not get hurt, for we say to ourselves, this is not about me...they are the ones that have a problem. Then we can direct our focus to the person that needs to be set free from their strongholds. We can do that by putting them on our prayer list and asking Jesus on a regular basis to bring deliverance into their lives, or if a door is opened for us to minister to them, because we did not take it personally when they hurt us. Then we can lead them into the truth that Jesus loves them and will never leave them no matter what, and if they see that demonstrated in us, they will know that it is for real. How do we identify strongholds? Selfish Ambition is always rooted in idolatry, and at the heart of idolatry is self-worship, for it cries this is all about Me. When we get offended it is because Me got in the way. But how can I keep from getting hurt you may ask? Next time that you get offended ask yourself this question, Who is offending Me, the person or a spirit within the person? If your answer is, it is the person, then it becomes personal to you, it also becomes a trap for your soul. For Jesus died for that person’s soul just as much as He died for your own soul, and now you find yourself embroiled in a dispute with a person that was created by God and in the image of God. But if your answer is, it is the spirit within that person that is offending me, then now you become one with Jesus in the indignation that one of His creatures has been taken captive by the devil to do his will. So that your prayer to Jesus would go something like this: Dear Lord Jesus, look what that spirit is doing to your child, please Lord set them free! We may not realize it, but that is probably one of the most powerful prayers that we will ever pray. For a prayer like that cannot come from us, but from the Spirit of God that dwells within us. Matthew 5:44-45 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” How can we be different if we behave like the rest of the world? In our opening Scripture God says that from the womb, even to our old age He carries us, and ends by telling us that He will deliver us. What that means is that whatever happened to us, no matter how bad, or how evil, how unthinkable, or how depraved, He will deliver us! We can on one hand, blame our past for our present circumstances and lash out at others from the midst of our wretched condition; on the other hand, we can use those past experiences as a platform to launch our deliverance mindset that in everything, all things always work out for our own good, because He loves us and He carries us to victory no matter what. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” All we have to do is reject Selfish Ambitions and embrace His spiritual fruit of Self Control. EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE The goal of this teaching is to help you not only understand but truly experience the love of God in a personal and life-transforming way. By exploring Scripture, you will see how God’s love goes beyond human definitions and becomes the very force that changes your heart, renews your mind, and empowers you to walk in faith, hope, and charity. EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE Minister Lisa Kane August 3, 2025 Objective: The goal of this teaching is to help you not only understand but truly experience the love of God in a personal and life-transforming way. By exploring Scripture, you will see how God’s love goes beyond human definitions and becomes the very force that changes your heart, renews your mind, and empowers you to walk in faith, hope, and charity. Synopsis: In this message, we reflect on what it means to experience His love—the love of God revealed through Christ. Beginning with John 3:16, we recognize that God’s love is not a vague idea but a powerful reality, rooted in His very nature and demonstrated through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. This love is not based on our human perceptions but defined by God Himself. Scripture shows us that love (agape) is more than emotion; it is action, benevolence, and selfless giving. As Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 13, without love, our gifts, knowledge, and even great acts of service amount to nothing. Love suffers long, is kind, rejoices in truth, and endures all things. Experiencing this love transforms how we think, how we treat others, and how we live out our faith. You are invited to pursue this love intentionally—by seeking God in prayer, allowing Him to renew your mind (Romans 12:1–2), and opening your heart to His Spirit. Experiencing His love leads to a deeper understanding of your value to God, a renewed desire to walk in His ways, and the strength to show His love to others. Above all, it is love that never fails and remains the greatest gift we can live in and share with the world. Inspired Teaching - Written and/or Transcribed from Video Above: Hello and welcome to the House of Faith Ministries. I'm Lisa Kaine and I'm recording this teaching on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025. Welcome. Let's open up in a word of prayer. Father God, we thank you for your word and we bless your word. We pray that your word does not return void. And I pray that the hearts of the listeners will respond to this teaching by the anointing of your love in their hearts and minds. that they become to realize and experience your love, that they actually understand it, receive it, and walk in it. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you. Thank you for being here today. This teaching, I'm calling it experience his love. So, we're going to be experiencing the love of Christ. We're going to start here in John 3:16. Probably the most famous quot of scripture of all time. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. So we're going to talk about his love, God's love, not what we think love is or love should be. We're going to go to the scriptures and we're going to see what his love is. Now uh as a reminder for those who are new and listening, every bolded word is the actual word in the King James version. That's what the King James translators use when translating from Hebrew or Greek into English. And then anything in parenthesis afterwards is uh other words that I found through the Hebrews the Strongs Hebrews Greek dictionary. So in this case, if you could take a look at the word love here, it's agapeo is how they pronounce it. Um it says it's um to love in a social or moral sense be loved. So social moral sense type of love and remember the word love covers a whole bunch of meanings in the scripture. So you have to go look at the original text to understand what it means. So in the original text is telling you uh in a social or moral sense what is that? Well, it's like a mother gives birth and it is now her obligation to take care of that child. Well, in a social moral sense, God is obligated to take care of us because he birthed us. He He's the one who created this world. So, he says here, and I want you to catch this. It says, "For God so loved the world." And some of us might look at this world and go, "Ah, really? Because sin has corrupted this world so much to the sense of that we don't know what his love is like. And until you experience it, until you realize it, when he went to the cross and he died for us, he shed his blood. He gave his blood. when it clicks in here, it's like he did that and all of a sudden something starts to happen. There's a transformation and a change that begins to happen. So, we're going to build that in scripture. Let's let's look at who Jesus Christ is in Revelation 15. And from Jesus Christ, this is John uh the beloved writing the book of Revelation. and from Jesus Christ who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth unto him that loved and washed us from our sins in his own blood. Here's that same word, love. Social moral sense. He loved us. And John is saying, look, he's the one who lo loved us so much. He shed his blood. He washed us from our sins, our offenses through his blood. He had to shed blood. You know, think of it like this. When you get a paper cut and it hurts, it stings, and you're just like, "Oh." Or if you're a quilter or crafter like I am and you're using your pins and you poke your finger and you're just like, "Oh, and maybe a little pinch of blood come out, a little droplet, little tiny droplet is painful." But to Christ who experienced more than just pain on that cross for the first time. You know I if you go back to Genesis 1 and God says let there be light. John 1 says in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. Paraphrase it. You can go look it up. Jesus was with God at that time. Jesus a part of God. So you had God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They're all in one. Jesus was always a part of God. Then Jesus entered his own creation. And he did it so he could shed his blood, but he had to do it as a human being. So he became born as a man, came down here, and he experienced it on the cross. He experienced the pain and the suffering that we all went through. He's God. He's the creator. But he came down to do what he needed to do and to fulfill the law. God said, "Here's the ten commandments. I know you can't keep them. I want you to try your best." But basically, the ten commandments told us we're sinners. So when Jesus came, he says, "Now I give you a new commandment to love one another like he loves." So how can you love like this? What is love? What is his love? Surprisingly, and maybe not to some, but to those that aren't aware of the scriptures, Paul describes love. He describes what it's not and then he describes what it is. We're going to go through First Corinthians 13 here in detail and then I'm going to show you how you can work your mind to experience that love because it takes the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Lisa can't make you experience it. You can't even make yourself. But you can ask God, you can chase God. You can find God. And you can experience his love. And it will change you. It It will automatically change you. So let's start here in 1 Corinthians 13 1 and 2. He says, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels. Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels." So you speak like a man or a human being or a woman and you speak like I am speaking right now. And then it says also to speak with the tongues of angels. Speaking in tongues. So you've got an anointing on you if you can speak like that. But then all of a sudden it says and have not charity. That word charity is agape and it is love. Now notice what this love says that it's an affection or benevolence. Specifically a love feast charity says benevolence. Affection. This is the type of love that you want to help somebody. You want to bless them. You're there supporting them. uh you pray with them. This is like a ministry type of love if you will. And it's saying here listen if you talk with tongues of men and you talk with the tongues of angels but you don't have affection or benevolence I am become as a sounding brass or a tinkling symbol. It clashes because you're not showing the love with your actions. You see, your mind says, "Oh, I want to be a ministry. I want to do this. I want to help God. I want to get his word out there." But if you're not experiencing his love, you haven't experienced it yet. You kind of it clashes. You have to experience his love. And he continues to say in verse two, "And though I have the gift of prophecy." And you know, if you go back to look at King Saul, King Saul prophesied, but then he went and saw Medium. The Lord left him. He was tormented by demons at that point. But he prophesied at that time. It says here, "And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, what if I understand everything about the scriptures and I'm here to teach it all to you, which by the way, I don't and I can't. I have to just re rely on the Holy Spirit. It's all I can do. Can't do anything else." says uh and all knowledge and though I have all faith and even to walk in faith which by the way believing in Christ is walking in faith. You have all that faith, you do all this stuff, you have this knowledge, you understand all mysteries, you have the gift of prophecy, you can remove mountains, but you don't have charity, which is that same definition above agape, the affection or benevolence. I am nothing. I I'm nothing. You have to experience his love before you go walk into ministry is what Paul is saying here. You want to talk in tongues. You want to walk in the gift of prophecy. You want to minister to people. You want to help them. But if you're not doing it from a heart of love, and I'm not talking about an obligation love here. We're talking about a true benevolence. You want to bless them. No strings attached. You want to do this because you love God and he's changed you. It's like helping your enemy. Something that most humans can't do until they experience God's love and then it changes all changes everything. Let's go to verse three. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor and though I give my body to be burned but have not charity. Look at there. Agape. We're talking about affection or benevolence. It profitth me nothing. Let's talk about profiting from Christ and his presence. You know, there's scripture that talks about where when you get up to heaven, all the things around you that you did on the earth that is either equal to hay or wood. Um, some of it could be gold, some of it could be silver, but all of that stuff gets burned. What doesn't melt or what doesn't burn away would be your silvers and gold and all that kind of stuff. So, you want to profit that. What is that? Well, a crown of salvation. Let's say you get saved. You put on a crown of salvation that goes through that fire. It lasts. It still will come out of that fire in whatever material it's made out of for gold or silver. If it was made out of wood, stubble, hay, it's going to burn. It profitth you nothing unless it's made of gold and silver. By the way, his love is pure gold. You want to experience is not just for personal growth, but it's for you to minister to others and to help them. And when you do it out of love, profit goes into your account in heaven. That's what this is about. He's profited you nothing. But you can get profit from it in your heavenly bank account. That's how that works. That's what this is about. You know, and experiencing this love can just be for personal growth. But when you're given a talent and God is requiring you, he's going to you're the steward of that talent. He's going to ask you, "What did you do with the talent I gave you?" I just taught about being a good steward in the last teaching. You can go check that out. I telling you, as you humble yourself before the Lord and you let that love transform you, you become a different person and your profit goes to your heavenly bank account which is for eternity here on the earth. It's not eternal. Verse four, charity ser now. Okay, so we just finished talking about what love isn't. You see, I can help feed the poor. I can do all that. That's not love. It profitth you nothing because you don't have his love in you. So now he's going to describe what love is. Look at this. Charity suffereth long. This is that affection, benevolence, agape love suffer suffereth long. It doesn't get mad. In other words, it puts up it tolerates over and over and over again. And I can tell you right now, there are many Christians who just can't even handle somebody cutting them off on the freeway without displaying and making sure that the other knows. And I'm guilty of that. So, I'm not just preaching to you and preaching to myself here, okay? But this is what he says. Charity suffereth long and is kind. Now, what is kindness? Because if you're feeding the poor, you think, "Oh, that's just being kind." No, that's making a life saved to live another day, to have another chance to accept Christ in their heart if they're a non-believer. That's kindness is giving somebody who has who deserves no kindness, who deserves no love. You're giving it to them. You're showing it to them. You're showing it through your emotion. You're showing it by your actions. You don't even have to say a word. You're just in their presence. You're listening to them. You're holding their hands. You're putting your arms around them. There's there's something about that. And this is being identified here. And it's kind charity. Envyth not. Hey, I'm glad you got that. I'm glad you're blessed. Do you know how many people are not truly glad that you either bought a house or you got a bonus? They're jealous. They're trying to think, "How come they got it and I didn't?" That's the first thought they got. That's not love. Love is being well pleased with your brethren to say, "Hey, look. Congratulations. I'm so glad that you got that." And there's no envy, no jealousy there. That's love. Charity vaunteth not itself. Is not puffed up. It's not full of vain. It's not about me me. Look what I did. I fed the poor. That's not love. That's not even kindness. That's self vanity. And that is puffing yourself up. And as the the scriptures telling you, that's not what love is. Doesn't do that. And this is where we need to have a transformation and a change. Let's finish chapter 13 because I really want you to see how this this works. doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinkketh no evil. There's no evil agenda when you go to do something good. You're just doing it out of the goodness of your heart because you love God and you just you're just saying, "Lord, I love you so much that I want to help these people. I can see they need help." And you pray. You pray in the secret place. And you go help them. And God exposes that in the open. what you did in secret, he exposes in the open. That's scriptural. You can go look that up. Says it rejoices not in iniquity. Do you know you know um there's been things that have happened to people. I'm not going to name anything specific, but people are glad and they put it in writing rejoicing. You know, like when Hamas killed all those people, there's a classic example. They were joyful and singing in the streets for somebody's pain and suffering. Look, it says here, "Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but they were so happy for the sin and the pain and the killings that they did. They were rejoicing." That is not love. That is not love. That's not what charity does. But rejoicth in the truth. So when the truth comes out, and we're talking not your perception of truth, we're actually talking about truth itself. When it comes out, if you love God and God loves you, you have experienced his love, you're going to rejoice in that. You're going to say, "Finally, the the truth is coming out. It's being exposed." And you're very glad about that. there may not be any consequences or if somebody did sin, hey, let me pray for them. Lord, I'm gonna pray for them. I'm going to forgive them. I'm going to ask you to forgive them there. See, there's a difference. This is experiences. Love beareth all things, believeth all things, hope all things, endureth all things. You see, love will get you through everything. When you experience his love, it will get you through everything. That is key right here. That is understanding this love. Understand that. Know that you're moving in a different light. Your motives have changed. The inside of you has changed. You're not the same person you were one year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago, 25 years ago. Look at verse eight. Charity. Here it is. Agape never faileth. But whether there be prophecies, they shall fail. Whether there be tongues, they shall cease. Whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect or complete is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. So, he's telling us straight off the bat, you know, you can walk in all the holiness you want to walk, but I'm going to tell you right now, if you don't have the attitude of love, if there wasn't that transformation that took place, you're not walking in the right path with God. Now, does that mean anything's wrong with you? It just means you're not profiting from it. It means that you're sounding like a clanging symbol because everybody around you can sense it. know it, hear it in their spirit. You're playing church or you know, and a lot of people go to church thinking that's, hey, I got my love. God loves me. I got a preaching in today or or I got I learned something new from the Bible today. Woohoo. I'm going to tell you right now, that's not allowing love to transform you. You need to experience this. Finish off chapter 13, uh, verse 11. When I was a child, I spake as a child. I understood as a child, I thought as a child. But when I became a man, I put away childish things. You see, he's telling you the process here, you became a believer. And when you became a believer, it's childlike, very simple. You got simple faith, your understanding. But as you grow and as you become mature in Christ, as you begin to walk in prophecy, speaking in tongues, as you begin to do that, something changes. He's telling you, you're putting away childish things. Then he says here in verse 12, for now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then shall I know even as also I am known. Knowledge plays a huge role in understanding God's love. When we started off with John 3:16, you become aware and have the knowledge that God came. For God so loved the world, this is why he came. You immediately know that knowledge. You immediately have that knowledge. This is where you begin to experience it. You may not comprehend, but you know it down inside. And what begins to happen is you try to go into ministry, you try to talk in tongues, you try to do all this, but without the love transforming you without the experience, without that knowledge, you can't make the transformation that you need. You're wondering and you know when you don't have the love of God he by the way he loves you you just don't understand and you have not received it. This is on you putting up a shield keeping yourself away from the pressure of that. Okay from his love. When you are doing that it doesn't there's a lot of things that don't make sense to you still. It's not that you're not a believer. It's the fact that you just don't you haven't opened up your heart to receive and experience his love yet. Because see, once you understand his love, you understand how much he puts you first. You begin to understand the scriptures in a whole new way because these scriptures are for your benefit. And then you begin to absorb the transformation begins to change. You get hungry for the Lord and it it changes you. And look what Paul says here. The last verse of 1 Corinthians 13. He says, "Now abidth faith, hope, charity, there's that agape, affection, or benevolence." These three, but the greatest of these is charity. You see, as the believer in Christ, you walk in faith because it takes faith to walk with God. Then it says you have hope because you're hoping he's returning to get you out of this mess because sometimes this world is bad. But he says, what's the most important? Charity is the greatest. Love is the greatest because that's what transforms you. That's what makes the change. Look at what it says here in Psalm 51:10. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me. It says to be new, rebuild. You see, you've been a part of this world, but you haven't experienced this love. You got to have that experience which rebuilds your heart. What's your heart? Your thoughts, your emotions. That's your heart. And it rebuilds it. It changes it. You and you're allowing God to do you open up the door because see, you need to experience it. You need to want it. You need to make the change and the effort to understand it. You got to have the knowledge of what his love, you know, when he says, "For God so loved the world." What does that mean to you? Do you just take it? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like for granted. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He loved me. You have not experienced love if that's how you see that scripture. That scripture should resonate in your heart. For God so loved the world. Oh, that includes me. When you start to think like that, that transforms your mind. Look at what it says here. Romans 12:1 and2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God. You see, God moved by love. He loves so much that he gave his only begotten son to redeem us. That's his mercies. says, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." He's saying, "Let the love come into your heart." It is your reasonable service because this is what's going to transform you. Look what he says in verse two. And be not conformed to this world, but be transformed. You got to experience the love to let it transform you. Otherwise, it means something. Blah blah blah blah. Yeah, it's like you not being a good steward with the talents that God gave you that I just finished teaching last week. And then it says, uh, but being transformed by the renewing, the renovation of your mind. This has to change. Stinking thinking has to go away. This comes now down to I'm going to think what scripture tells me. I'm going to put God first. I choose God first. I walk in goodness first. I'm not going to choose to do things evil. And when you make that decision, a mental decision in your mind, you speak it out. By the way, if you go back and look at the history of Queen Victoria, she chose says, "I'm going to be good. I choose to be a good queen. She verbally spoke it. It is documented. And she ended up having such a beautiful kingdom." This is what God is trying to teach us. You choose to in your mind decide to be good. decide to experience his love. You know, Lord, I want to understand your love. Ask him. Go to him and say, "Help me understand this love. Show me this love." Says, "Then he renews your mind." He's going to renovate it so that you don't think the old way. You're going to think the new way. And look what he says. The goal of this is that ye may prove or test what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. You can't experience it or understand it or know it without having the experience of his love. That love is what that knowledge of that love is one going to manifest in you in a way where you begin to speak the words. Lord create in me a new heart. Cleanse me. Help me not have that stinking thinking. I don't want to think that way anymore, Lord. I want to think positive. I want to think good thoughts. I want to have that faith and that hope, but I really want to show and demonstrate your love. How do I do this? Psalm 91 tells us to dwell in the secret place with the Lord. Right now, I'm going to tell you right now, getting into the secret place with the Lord is where you're the most likely going to experience his love. of God can demonstrate his love wherever and and you may just experience in whatever setting the Lord sets for you something that you needed to see something that you something in your heart something in your mind in your spirit knew it needed to see that and you're going to be like that was God and he demonstrated his love for me that and that is where you begin to experience it you begin to realize for God so loved the world and he loved so much through his obligation. He could have finished things off at Noah's flood even earlier than that. He could have said, "You know what? This went this was a bad idea and just checked it all out the window and decided to stop the whole thing." But you know what kept him from doing that? his obligation, his social moral sense, his love. He he said to himself, "I love this world so much." And in that moment as he said that, you know, he he saw Adam, he saw Eve, he saw sin, but he saw his son, he saw his salvation, he saw Lisa, and he said, "I got to save this world. This is worth saving. This is how valuable we are." You see, to experience that love is to realize how valuable you are. This is why the devil attacks so much. He is trying to lie to you. He's trying to steal from you the love of God. This is why it is important that you take action by creating an environment where it's just you and God and say, "Lord, I want to experience your love. I want you to change me because one, I want to repay back to you what you've done for me. But most importantly, I want to get as many people saved because I don't want anyone to go to hell. Just like God doesn't want anyone to go hell to hell. He transform you. He changes you. That's what God does. Ah, so awesome. Let's close in a word of prayer. Father God, we love you and we thank you for your word. I pray that each and every one of us who heard this message will take that time to go and experience your love. That you will show us the love and that we would understand it. Understand what Christ did on the cross. Experience that. Live by it and then show the world what you meant when you said you loved us. Thank you Lord for your word. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. God bless you and I'll see you in the next teaching. Home Previous Next

SPIRITUAL JOY The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that true spiritual joy is not dependent on life’s circumstances but flows from the eternal gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that this joy is irrevocable, unshakable, and rooted in the immutability of God’s promises. Through Scripture, he shows that spiritual joy is both a present reality for the believer and a foretaste of eternal pleasures at God’s right hand. SPIRITUAL JOY Pastor Marcos Marrero January 1, 1900 Objective: The objective of this teaching is to help believers understand that true spiritual joy is not dependent on life’s circumstances but flows from the eternal gift of salvation in Christ Jesus. Pastor Marcos emphasizes that this joy is irrevocable, unshakable, and rooted in the immutability of God’s promises. Through Scripture, he shows that spiritual joy is both a present reality for the believer and a foretaste of eternal pleasures at God’s right hand. Synopsis: In Spiritual Joy, Pastor Marcos explores Psalm 16:11 as the foundation for understanding the fullness of joy found in God’s presence. He explains that spiritual joy is inseparable from spiritual life—unlike worldly happiness, which is fleeting and circumstantial. Spiritual joy endures because it is anchored in the gift of eternal life, which God has declared irrevocable (Romans 11:29). Pastor Marcos highlights Peter’s sermon on Pentecost (Acts 2), where he connected the resurrection of Jesus to David’s prophecy in Psalm 16. This fulfilled promise revealed that death was conquered, eternal life secured, and joy made possible for all who believe. Spiritual joy is not just inward but manifests outwardly, producing rejoicing and thanksgiving among God’s people (Psalm 118). The lesson also underscores that God’s covenant is unchangeable: He cannot lie and will not change His mind about salvation (Hebrews 6:18; 7:21). Therefore, believers can rejoice even in trials, knowing that the Lord is always on their side, their salvation is secure, and His mercy endures forever. Pastor Marcos provides practical reasons for joy—God’s goodness, His mercy, His deliverance in times of trouble, His help against enemies, His fatherly discipline without disowning, and the promise of eternal life. Ultimately, the believer’s confidence and joy rest in God’s unchanging character and the finished work of Christ. Spiritual joy flows from a wellspring of salvation, bringing strength, peace, and praise that transcends every situation. Inspired Teaching: Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Spiritual joy comes as the direct result of spiritual life, you cannot separate them, where there is no spiritual life there is no spiritual joy. We maybe very happy due to our position in life, but our position in life is not the source for spiritual joy, for if our position in life changes for the worse, then our reason for happiness is removed. Not so with spiritual joy, once you have it you can never lose it. For our joy is based on the gift of eternal life, and God’s gifts are irrevocable. Romans 11:29 “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” In the day of Pentecost Peter began to preach to the multitudes who had gathered around the disciples after a tornado, a rushing mighty wind, had settled over and filled the house where they were praying. Peter told the crowd that they were witnessing that which the prophet Joel had prophesied about as being the mission statement of the newly born church of our Lord Jesus Christ; and this is what Peter told them: Acts 2:22-25 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed (destroy or abolished) the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.” Peter gets right to the point and tells the multitudes that the Jesus that they’ve crucified and killed, is the very One whom God had appointed to destroy the pains of death itself, for Peter tells them that it is impossible for death to keep hold of the Author and Sustainer of Life. Then the very next Scripture that he quotes to them is from Psalm 16, our opening text; Peter tells them that when David wrote Psalm 16 he was not speaking about himself, but about Israel’s future Messiah, and plainly tells them that the fulfillment of David’s prophecy has been accomplished by the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth from the dead. Acts 2:27 “For You will not leave my soul in Hades, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” Psalm 16:10 “For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.” The point that Peter is trying to make to them is that death has been conquered by Jesus going to the cross, and that the path or way for eternal life had been made known to man, and that is the very reason why we have joy. Acts 2:28 “You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.” Psalm 118:14-15 “The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord (Jesus) does valiantly.” Psalm 118 is the center chapter of the Bible; it is preceded by the shortest chapter in the Bible and it is followed by the longest chapter in the Bible, I guess that we can call it the long and the short of it. The center verses of chapter 118 and of the Bible itself, speaks of how the Lord has become our salvation and how that is our reason for rejoicing. Although I called it Spiritual Joy it is very much physically present within all true believers. The reason why I called it spiritual is because this joy is independent of whatever our physical situation might be. I also stated the this joy is a gift from God and that His gifts are irrevocable. Let me enumerate a few reasons as to why we should all be rejoicing in this joy that emanates from our born again spirit and permeates every fiber of our souls. Psalm 118:1 “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” He is good! We know that, for He saved us from all our sins, but let us remember also that His mercy towards us is everlasting. In the letter to the Hebrews we are told that by two immutable things God established His covenant with us: Number one is that the God who cannot lie swore on an oath, number two, that He would not change His mind. This is very important, for from our human perspective we make commitments that are based on our present circumstances, and when those circumstances change, we sometimes find it reasonable to change our minds about our original commitment. We are tempted within our human nature to believe that God changes His mind about our salvation when the circumstances warrant it, but that way of thinking is not within God’s nature, and He wanted us to know that. Hebrews 6:18 “That by two immutable (unchangeable) things, in which it is impossible for God to lie…” Hebrews 7:21 “But He (Jesus) became a priest with an oath when God said to Him: ‘The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind: You are a priest forever.’” NIV So that our salvation is not dependent on our present or future situations, but rather in the immutability of the oath of the God who does not lie and who swore that He would not change His mind about our salvation that was entrusted to the Priesthood of Jesus. Now that is the headspring of the living waters of the well of salvation and the reason for our unshakable joy. Psalm 118:5-6 “I called on the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” So, what happens if in our daily walk we fall, falter, or fail? They that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, delivered into a broad place! What if I come under demonic attack? The Lord is on my side and will always be on my side. He promised and said that He would not change His mind, so therefore we have no fear, there is nothing that man can do to us in regards to our salvation. Now there is another reason for joy. Psalm 118:7 “The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.” The Lord is our vindication and our source of joy, for we know that while in this world we will have tribulations that are brought about by our enemies. But God is our present help in time of need and we know that He can be fully trusted. Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” What greater joy can a person have than being able to say with such great confidence, I am not going to die, I am going to live, and I will testify about God’s faithfulness. And here is the main reason why we can rejoice! Psalm 118:18 “The Lord has chastened me severely, but He has not given me over to death.” It is true that the Lord is our Father and as such He will chasten us, for we are not illegitimate children, BUT HE WILL NEVER DISOWN US! It is no wonder that there is so much praise and joy as the Psalm comes to a close: Psalm 118:28-29 “You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, I will exalt You. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” How can we not love a God that loves us so much? How can we not rejoice when we have a merciful God like Him for our Father? At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore! Previous Next Home

Drawing from Scripture, the teaching emphasizes trusting God in times of uncertainty, resisting fear, and cultivating faith that aligns with God’s plan. It calls the church to readiness, worship, and reliance on God’s promises as He ushers in a season of wonders and transformative events. A NEW THING Pastor Marcos Marrero Objective: The objective of A NEW THING is to encourage believers to prepare spiritually, mentally, and emotionally for the divine changes God is orchestrating in their lives and in the world. Drawing from Scripture, the teaching emphasizes trusting God in times of uncertainty, resisting fear, and cultivating faith that aligns with God’s plan. It calls the church to readiness, worship, and reliance on God’s promises as He ushers in a season of wonders and transformative events. Synopsis: In A NEW THING, Pastor Marcos reflects on a spiritual prompting received during December 2013 to “be still and wait” on the Lord. As the new year of 2014 approached, the Lord revealed through Scripture that He was preparing to do something new—something radical that would alter life as we know it. Pastor Marcos explores this theme through prophetic passages in Isaiah, Habakkuk, Matthew, and Revelation, highlighting the tension between human fear of the unknown and the assurance that God has redeemed and called His people by name. The lesson stresses that change is inevitable, but God’s people must remember they belong to Him, allowing faith to overcome fear. The message considers the possibility of world-altering, divine interventions—events so wondrous they defy human understanding and disrupt established traditions. Using biblical parallels such as the flood of Noah’s day and Christ’s prophecy of His return, Pastor Marcos frames this “new thing” as both a personal and collective call to spiritual readiness. He urges believers to remain steadfast, praising God in all circumstances, and keeping their eyes on Christ as the ultimate fulfillment of God’s promises. Ultimately, A NEW THING is both a prophetic reflection and a practical exhortation: to trust God’s plan, prepare for radical change, and live in expectation of His marvelous work and Christ’s imminent return. Inspired Teaching: As I posted our prayer focus for the last month of the year at the beginning of the month of December 2013, the Lord prompted me to pray for the ability to be still and to wait on Him, little did I know at the time that He wanted me to be still and wait, and not to write anything for the entire month of December, until the time of waiting was over. As I prepared to write again this last day of the year so that I can publish new things for the month of January 2014, the Scripture that the Lord gave to me, showed me that this new year the Lord will be doing something new and that we are to prepare ourselves for this new thing. I am not sure yet what kind of change this new year is going to bring, but for some reason I feel that this new year will be called a year of wonders. As always the Lord deals with us both in the personal level as well as in the corporal level, and is too early yet to know whether this year of wonders has only a personal application or whether it will be a year of wonders for the church as a whole. So, this lesson will deal with how to be prepared for the new thing that the Lord will be doing this new year of 2014. Isaiah 43:1 “...Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.” A new thing means change and change into something that is new always strikes a cord of fear within us, for we naturally fear that which we do not know. But to overcome the fear which naturally flows out of uncertainty, we need to understand that it is the Lord who is the One that is bringing in the change, and since we belong to Him, for He has redeemed us, that should remove the uncertainty of what this new thing will bring to us, for whatever it is we know that it is part of His plan for our lives. Notice how the Lord makes it very personal, for He tells us that He has called us by our name, it cannot get any more personal than that, and then He adds that we belong to Him. We need to keep this reality fresh in our minds throughout the year no matter what happens, and by doing so we will not give into the temptation to fear, for the spirit of fear always works against our faith. Isaiah 43:21 “This people I have formed for Myself; they shall declare My praise.” And no matter what happens we will be able to praise Him, for according to His promises, we know that all things always work together for the good of those who love Him and who know that they are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” It is within our nature to wonder what this new thing might be, but we can only speculate as we read between the lines of Scripture. Isaiah 43:18 “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.” But whatever it is, we know that it will be radical, for it will eclipse the former order of things, and it will cause us not to even consider the things of old as an alternative way of thinking, so we know that whatever it is it will change life as we know it. Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations and watch—be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.” So what could happen, that it will be so radical, that it would change the long standing traditions of human thinking? What kind of event could change the very foundations and understandings of human knowledge? Isaiah 29:14 “Therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” The above Scripture gives as a tremendous insight into what that life altering event might be and information about some of its workings. The first thing that we notice is that the work that the Lord is going to do that is going to change life as we know it, He has already done in the past, for He says that He will again do a marvelous work among this people, and then He adds: A marvelous work and a wonder. So that if we ask this question: What kind of work did the Lord do in the past that radically changed the lives of all the earth’s inhabitants? The flood of Noah’s day stands out all by itself, for it affected every human and radically changed the very nature of earth’s nature itself. Matthew 24:37 “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” So that we have not only a precedent, but we also have an event that we can associate with the new thing that the Lord will be doing, for whatever it is that the Lord will be doing, it will be a sign that precedes His return to the earth. Matthew 24:29-30 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Jesus gives us insight as to what the things that will radically change the human paradigm of the cosmos entails. There are three heavens mentioned in the history of the creation: first there is the heaven above, also known as the third heaven and Paradise, the seat of God’s rule over the universe. Then there is the second heaven, also known as the waters, below and the underworld, where all the fallen angels reside. Then there is the first heaven, also called the firmament, which has at its center planet earth, the habitation of the human race. If we read carefully what Jesus said, the stars will fall from heaven, singular, is because Revelation tells us that the stars represent angels, Revelation 1:20 “...The seven stars are the angels…” In Matthew’s case they represent the fallen angels which are thrown out of the second heaven to the earth. Then Jesus adds that the powers of the heavens, plural, will be shaken, which now includes the visible heaven that encompasses the earth, which is also called the firmament and heaven. And that is where the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, singular, when The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light and it is what causes all of the tribes of the earth to mourn as they see Jesus coming to the earth riding on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. How will the human race respond to the infusion of wicked non-human creatures upon our earthly plane? If that is not a new thing, then I do not know what is. What was that you said? You do not believe that something like that will ever happen here on the earth? Revelation 9:1-6 “Then the fifth angel sounded: and I saw a star (angel) fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit (the under world). And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.” I do believe that the rapture would have already taken place by the time that the bottomless pit is opened, but the sign of the Son of Man is something that we will witness from our earthly perch before the rapture takes place, so that we need to ask ourselves, can our faith stand the revelation of such awesome and fearful wonders? Matthew 24:31 “And He will send His angels (after the sign of the Son of Man appears in heaven) with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Keep looking up!
